- 0:00Speaker 1: You're any little secrets.
- 0:04Speaker 2: It was time to confess. Sorry, if you have a confession,
- 0:07Speaker 2: just bring it. Eight three to three seven eight seven
- 0:08Speaker 2: one two nine. It's Billy the Kid, Candice Lopez and
- 0:11Speaker 2: producer Pooh, I'm mixed one or two point nine. This
- 0:14Speaker 2: is where we just let you confess anything that's on
- 0:16Speaker 2: your mind. It could be big, it could be small,
- 0:18Speaker 2: it could happen five minutes ago, five years ago, whatever.
- 0:21Speaker 2: It's a non judgment zone for the most part. Yeah,
- 0:25Speaker 2: it'd be a little bit judging, but not in a
- 0:26Speaker 2: hateful way. We'll just talk about what's going on. It'll
- 0:30Speaker 2: feel good to cleanse your soul spring cleaning of the soul.
- 0:32Speaker 2: You got one, what's up?
- 0:34Speaker 1: Well, yeah, I guess. Yeah. I mean people are probably
- 0:37Speaker 1: gonna judge me for it, but yeah, I wanted to
- 0:41Speaker 1: sort of say it out loud.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Okay.
- 0:45Speaker 1: So basically, when my daughter was born, she was, you know, perfect,
- 0:50Speaker 1: just absolutely perfect. But the second that they later on
- 0:53Speaker 1: my chest, I noticed something stand out immediately and it's
- 1:00Speaker 1: her ears. So they were they were like big, I
- 1:06Speaker 1: mean noticeably huge.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Your daughter don't last my baby?
- 1:15Speaker 1: Maybe, Yes, she's my baby and she's perfect, and I'm
- 1:19Speaker 1: not trying to be mean, but at the same time,
- 1:22Speaker 1: you know, they stuck out so far that she looked
- 1:26Speaker 1: like she could be like my little dumbbo you know.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Yeah, when their babies, you've been stuffed up in there.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Who knows how her ears were smushed, you know, but
- 1:42Speaker 1: like maybe when you're a baby, it's cute, but think
- 1:44Speaker 1: about it, you're in kindergarten, middle school, like, you know,
- 1:48Speaker 1: kids can be absolutely brutal. Okay, So so here's where
- 1:54Speaker 1: you know, her dad and I are not together anymore,
- 1:59Speaker 1: and you know, I don't need to get into all that,
- 2:02Speaker 1: but basically we're just we're not really parenting in harmony
- 2:06Speaker 1: most of that. And he and his family they're they're
- 2:12Speaker 1: like super religious, you know, very much like God made
- 2:16Speaker 1: her perfect and you know, you don't need to change
- 2:19Speaker 1: a thing, you know type. So if I had even
- 2:24Speaker 1: suggested surgery, he would have shut it down immediately. So
- 2:33Speaker 1: he doesn't live in Texas, and he's more of this
- 2:36Speaker 1: sort of like spring break and holidays kind of dad,
- 2:40Speaker 1: so he's not around as much. We'll say that. So
- 2:43Speaker 1: a few weeks ago, I did it, you did what?
- 2:47Speaker 1: And I fixed her ears? I got her ears fixed,
- 2:51Speaker 1: and I didn't tell him. Yeah, it would Listen, I'm
- 2:56Speaker 1: telling you, it's a super simple person feature nothing extreme.
- 3:02Speaker 1: She's like totally fine, healing beautifully. But I didn't tell
- 3:07Speaker 1: him that I was doing it.
- 3:08Speaker 2: And now I got I gotta be honest that it
- 3:13Speaker 2: kind of freaks me out and weirds me out that
- 3:16Speaker 2: I get that you have this weird you know, maybe
- 3:19Speaker 2: not the best co parenting relationship with him, But any
- 3:21Speaker 2: kind of medical procedure where you know there might be
- 3:23Speaker 2: anesthesia involved, or a physical change or anything, really, I
- 3:26Speaker 2: wouldn't want to know.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Oh yeah, you know what, like if you're a part
- 3:31Speaker 1: time dad, like, you know, if you're a part time dad, like,
- 3:35Speaker 1: you don't get to be full time making decisions, right,
- 3:40Speaker 1: That's how I see it. Yeah, I'm the one with
- 3:43Speaker 1: her every single day, and I'm the one that's thinking
- 3:47Speaker 1: about her future and her confidence and the way the
- 3:50Speaker 1: world is going to treat her. Like, I don't feel
- 3:53Speaker 1: like I owe anyone an explanation. I did what was
- 3:57Speaker 1: best for my daughter, and and I truly believe that
- 4:01Speaker 1: one day, you know, when she's older, she's and she's
- 4:04Speaker 1: not getting teased on the playground or hiding her hair,
- 4:07Speaker 1: you know, like making her hair right, pupper her ears right.
- 4:12Speaker 1: She's actually thank me, like honest, and you know what,
- 4:15Speaker 1: he will too. He will too, I don't think.
- 4:18Speaker 3: I mean, I get that, but you didn't make that
- 4:20Speaker 3: kid by yourself. I mean you should at least have
- 4:24Speaker 3: consulted with a little bit. I know he's part.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Time, but at least tell him he's walked away.
- 4:29Speaker 3: You know, I can't say that.
- 4:30Speaker 1: I would.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know. I mean, right, like, I don't
- 4:33Speaker 2: know both sides of the story. So without knowing both sides,
- 4:36Speaker 2: the way it looks right now, the optics don't look
- 4:38Speaker 2: good for Dad.
- 4:39Speaker 1: If you just kind of Sonny Caesar, yeah, I'll tell you.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Definitely it does. He is involved, but he's not involved
- 4:44Speaker 2: as much as he should be. You're saying, so he
- 4:46Speaker 2: doesn't get those decisions. But what is something what if
- 4:49Speaker 2: something had gone wrong? No, I would have told trouble.
- 4:54Speaker 2: I would have told him and said, well, this is
- 4:56Speaker 2: what I'm doing. I'm just letting you know. Maybe not Hey,
- 4:58Speaker 2: we're going to discuss this. I would just you know,
- 5:00Speaker 2: but yeah, I'm not you, So I don't know. I
- 5:03Speaker 2: can't speak for what you should have done or shouldn't have.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Done, you know, the dynamics of the relationship or where
- 5:08Speaker 1: that gets really complicated, and you know, I just really
- 5:13Speaker 1: feel like if he really wanted to be a part
- 5:15Speaker 1: of making decisions in her life, then he could step
- 5:18Speaker 1: up and near on more do him. I'm happy for
- 5:22Speaker 1: my girl. She's absolutely perfect and beautiful, and I know
- 5:27Speaker 1: that this is just going to help prevent teasing and
- 5:30Speaker 1: things like that, and I just wanted to do it
- 5:33Speaker 1: for her well being. And it's fine and she's great,
- 5:36Speaker 1: and that's my little secret.
- 5:38Speaker 2: No, that's a good secret, reac And I'm going to
- 5:40Speaker 2: ask people, you know, what they would have done, and
- 5:42Speaker 2: other moms and parents and dads what they think, because
- 5:45Speaker 2: I know people have strong opinions on this, but I
- 5:47Speaker 2: don't parent, shame and judge. So you do what you
- 5:49Speaker 2: gotta do. And I'm glad it worked out and she's good.
- 5:53Speaker 2: She'll look back and I think you're right. I think
- 5:55Speaker 2: she will be happy that it happened. Although some people
- 5:57Speaker 2: love big years, yeah, some people never get him fixed.
- 6:01Speaker 2: And there's actually some people who think it's very cute
- 6:03Speaker 2: and it's endearing for sure, like Poo's got extra small ears.
- 6:06Speaker 2: I wonder if there was any way we could have
- 6:07Speaker 2: actually gotten ear enlargement. No, ears are like you have
- 6:12Speaker 2: baby ears. Yeah, yeah, it's cool. I mean yeah, no,
- 6:15Speaker 2: it's neat.
- 6:15Speaker 3: I've never noticed look at it like, I mean, but
- 6:21Speaker 3: Billy got some big ears.
- 6:21Speaker 2: That's why you don't listen for Well, thank you, ma'am.
- 6:27Speaker 2: We really appreciate your secret. And and well yeah you'll
- 6:30Speaker 2: hear what people have to say coming up next.
- 6:32Speaker 3: Okay, so your daughter, all right, all right, I'm just
