- 1:02Sean McAllister: Las Vegas becomes an even bigger sports town over the next few weeks as major events come to town and they're doing it Vegas style.
- 1:11Dayna Roselli: Love that.
- 1:11Dayna Roselli: And Lady Gaga is all in when it comes to her jazz and piano show.
- 1:16Dayna Roselli: She just added more dates.
- 1:17Sean McAllister: Some oldies but goodies announced shows, a rundown of some favorites coming to town.
- 1:23Dayna Roselli: And they're from our era.
- 1:24Dayna Roselli: I can't wait to talk about that.
- 1:25Dayna Roselli: And you listen to us, but now you're gonna see us.
- 1:29Dayna Roselli: Details on a brand new Vegas-based show that just dropped.
- 1:33Sean McAllister: Let's spin that wheel.
- 1:43Dayna Roselli: Welcome everyone to Vegas Revealed episode 104.
- 1:47Dayna Roselli: Dana Roselli and Sean McAllister with you.
- 1:49Dayna Roselli: It's another show, another week, and another month.
- 1:52Sean McAllister: Can you believe it?
- 1:53Sean McAllister: No.
- 1:54Sean McAllister: Already February?
- 1:55Sean McAllister: I mean, it I was having a hard time even wrapping my head around being in 2022.
- 2:00Sean McAllister: And now, like, January's gone, we're already into February.
- 2:04Dayna Roselli: I saw a news report last night, and the reporter was saying something like, uh, it was the first something of 2020.
- 2:09Dayna Roselli: And I'm like, no, wrong year.
- 2:11Dayna Roselli: We're in 2022, but it does still feel like we're in 2020.
- 2:15Sean McAllister: I still do to I still write down 2020.
- 2:18Sean McAllister: My God, it's such a time warp.
- 2:20Sean McAllister: But hey, uh, February in Vegas means we have some major sports action happening, and it's kind of outside of the season for a lot of people participating.
- 2:30Sean McAllister: We're gonna get into all that and the really cool uh events that have just been announced.
- 2:35Sean McAllister: That's just a few minutes away.
- 2:37Dayna Roselli: Yeah, we always say Vegas style because we just do things like time.
- 2:40Sean McAllister: So much crazier, yeah.
- 2:42Dayna Roselli: That's the best part about our city.
- 2:43Dayna Roselli: So uh I want to tell you about a new show that just dropped that Sean and I are a part of.
- 2:48Dayna Roselli: So you hear us, you listen to us in the podcast, now you'll be able to see us.
- 2:53Dayna Roselli: We're excited to announce this new show called Vegas On.
- 2:57Sean McAllister: Yeah, and this is a show that is being put out by the LV C VA.
- 3:02Sean McAllister: This is the organization that really promotes Las Vegas to the outside world and that entices people and businesses to come here and conventions draws them into town.
- 3:15Sean McAllister: Um, so we're excited to be a part of this new show uh that's really highlighting all the amazing things that Las Vegas has to offer.
- 3:24Dayna Roselli: Yeah, you can find the show at visitlosvegas.com, okay?
- 3:28Dayna Roselli: And I am in the first episode where we're gonna take a look at some things going on for Valentine's Day and how Las Vegas is such a great place to not only get married, but also propose to your special someone.
- 3:41Dayna Roselli: Um, we talk with the Paris Las Vegas about what they have to offer, and then we go through some different areas that might be a good spot to pop the question.
- 3:50Dayna Roselli: So look forward to that.
- 3:51Dayna Roselli: And then in an upcoming episode this month, Sean, you're gonna be doing behind the scenes of the Bellagio Fountains.
- 3:57Dayna Roselli: I can't wait to see this.
- 3:58Sean McAllister: The Fountains of Bellagio are another Las Vegas attraction where people like to pop the question and have little ceremonies out in front of the fountains with the fountains going off.
- 4:08Dayna Roselli: You don't need to hire a band, right?
- 4:09Dayna Roselli: No, the music's right there for you.
- 4:11Sean McAllister: All right there.
- 4:12Sean McAllister: One of the only lakes in the world that has its own soundtrack.
- 4:17Sean McAllister: And uh, in one of the future upcoming episodes of Vegas on, we're gonna take you behind the scenes to see how exactly all of that works.
- 4:25Sean McAllister: And there's a lot that goes into keeping those fountains in great working order, and you won't believe the amount of time it takes to just put one show together.
- 4:35Sean McAllister: So that'll be in a future episode of Vegas On.
- 4:40Sean McAllister: Again, you can find that at visitlasvegas.com.
- 4:43Dayna Roselli: Yeah, they're gonna go all the ins and outs of Las Vegas, all the cool attractions, all the great restaurants, uh, in-depth look at all that stuff.
- 4:50Dayna Roselli: You won't want to miss the show.
- 4:52Dayna Roselli: Um again, check it out, like Sean said, on the website, and we'll talk more about it in future episodes.
- 4:56Sean McAllister: Yeah, but Dana, speaking of the Fountains of Bellagio, that is one of the locations where uh some major sports action is gonna be happening.
- 5:06Sean McAllister: Uh the NHL All-Star Weekend happening right here in Las Vegas, and they're doing some uh skill-based events for NHL All-Star Weekend on the Fountains of Bellagio.
- 5:22Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I was looking at some pictures of this.
- 5:24Dayna Roselli: This is cool.
- 5:25Sean McAllister: Yeah, it's called the Fountain Faceoff.
- 5:27Dayna Roselli: I love it.
- 5:28Sean McAllister: And basically, uh it looks like they're going to have a bunch of I'll call them lily pads.
- 5:35Dayna Roselli: Right, but they're hockey pucks?
- 5:36Dayna Roselli: Are they hockey pucks?
- 5:37Sean McAllister: Yeah, it looks like they're hockey pucks or like the circles that you would find on an ice rink.
- 5:42Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 5:42Sean McAllister: Um but they're actually floating out in the Bellagio fountains.
- 5:48Sean McAllister: They're going to boat players out to the center ice and they have to shoot the puck over the water, land it on these uh circles that are floating out there.
- 6:00Sean McAllister: There's also goals that are floating out there.
- 6:03Sean McAllister: So it's gonna be a a skill-based competition to see which NHL players, the best in the league, obviously, uh have the the best uh the best shots and can land their pucks on these floating ice rink circles.
- 6:18Sean McAllister: So lots of special events uh involve the uh fountains of Bellagio.
- 6:23Sean McAllister: Of course, we have the NFL draft that's coming up.
- 6:26Sean McAllister: We have uh Pro Bowl weekend right here too.
- 6:29Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's crazy.
- 6:30Dayna Roselli: So the actual uh all-star game is here at T-Mobile Arena, and that's Saturday, the day that our podcast drops.
- 6:37Dayna Roselli: So you could be listening after it's already been played, or you're listening on Saturday and it's today.
- 6:42Dayna Roselli: And then we have the Pro Bowl right down the road at Allegiance Stadium.
- 6:45Dayna Roselli: So two huge major events happening this weekend in Las Vegas.
- 6:50Dayna Roselli: And you know, a lot of times, Sean, people will say, Well, why do we need so many like arenas now and stadiums?
- 6:55Dayna Roselli: Like and I guess this is one of the reasons because now we can have an all-star game on one day and then a Pro Bowl on the next day, and different venues and different crowds and different people, and it's gonna be awesome.
- 7:08Dayna Roselli: I mean, this is gonna be a moneymaker for Las Vegas.
- 7:10Sean McAllister: And there's events and fan fests and mascot challenges.
- 7:15Sean McAllister: I mean, this is all happening at at various locations all around Las Vegas.
- 7:20Sean McAllister: So uh this is a really exciting time and really proving once again who would have thought just a few years ago there was no major sports league in the world that would touch Las Vegas, and now everybody is just embracing it.
- 7:37Sean McAllister: Right to the point where one of the skill challenges for NHL All-Star Weekend is like a blackjack game right on the strip.
- 7:46Sean McAllister: You have to shoot the puck to hit the rotating cards up on the board and see if you can get a blackjack.
- 7:52Dayna Roselli: Oh my god.
- 7:53Dayna Roselli: That is crazy.
- 7:54Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it looks really cool.
- 7:56Dayna Roselli: It's gonna be so much fun.
- 7:57Dayna Roselli: Then the following weekend is the Super Bowl.
- 7:59Dayna Roselli: And, you know, we don't have the Super Bowl this year, we will in 2024, but people come here from all over to watch the Super Bowl and bet and all that kind of thing.
- 8:07Dayna Roselli: And Circa, Las Vegas, one of the coolest places, you know, new additions, I should say, to Las Vegas over the last couple of years, is doing like an all-out big game party, and it looks like it's gonna be a blast over there, you know, because they have the outdoor stadium swim with that huge screen.
- 8:25Sean McAllister: Right.
- 8:25Sean McAllister: I mean, no better place to to watch the big game, especially when when you consider that all of the pools at Stadium Swim, and there's many of them, they're all heated.
- 8:35Sean McAllister: So it's warm water, even though if it's cold outside, it's warm water.
- 8:41Sean McAllister: There's plenty of drinks, plenty of food, there's the cabanas.
- 8:44Sean McAllister: It's gonna be a scene.
- 8:46Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and I love it because it it is the like like you said, it is a year-round pool, and so they're doing this first ever big bash party at they're calling it the aqua theater.
- 8:55Dayna Roselli: I like that.
- 8:55Sean McAllister: I like that, right?
- 8:56Sean McAllister: That is nice, yeah.
- 8:57Sean McAllister: Oh yeah.
- 8:58Dayna Roselli: Sometimes Derek gets uh a shot of the circa pool or the sorry stadium swim in some of the NFL games, too.
- 9:05Sean McAllister: They I would not be surprised if there were uh there was a a commercial or something that that featured circa and and stadium swim.
- 9:14Sean McAllister: Uh, but also speaking of Super Bowl parties here in Las Vegas, uh I heard, Dana, that uh Peyton and Eli Manning are going to be the special guests at a VIP party on the Las Vegas strip.
- 9:29Sean McAllister: So there are going to be some, you know, big time NFL names who are and NFL greats who will be here in Las Vegas to to watch the big game.
- 9:40Sean McAllister: And not all the big football names are at the actual Super Bowl.
- 9:45Sean McAllister: You'll find them here.
- 9:46Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and it's you know, and this year we got the the Cincinnati Bengals in there.
- 9:50Dayna Roselli: They haven't been to a Super Bowl, I don't think, since like the 19 late 80s, so I mean, congratulations to Yeah, I remember watching them in the Super Bowl back in the 80s.
- 10:00Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it was, you know, it's been a while, so I love that.
- 10:03Dayna Roselli: However, my dad has money on the Rams, Sean, so I'm gonna have to go with the Rams.
- 10:08Dayna Roselli: Yeah, um, had money on them a while ago.
- 10:12Dayna Roselli: You know, when you like bet early, and then when they make it all the way to the Super Bowl, the pockets, you know, I think bigger and bigger, because whatever.
- 10:19Dayna Roselli: So like he's super excited to watch the games.
- 10:21Dayna Roselli: So um I kind of wanted Cincinnati to win, but now I'm gonna have to go with the Rams to support dad.
- 10:26Dayna Roselli: Um, speaking of sports, let's just quickly uh mention Tom Brady retiring.
- 10:31Dayna Roselli: Uh obviously a huge deal.
- 10:33Dayna Roselli: We weren't sure he was gonna be at the Pro Bowl because he was we assumed gonna be in the Super Bowl.
- 10:38Dayna Roselli: Now he's not, now he's retired.
- 10:39Dayna Roselli: So I'm wondering if he'll make an appearance this weekend in Las Vegas as well.
- 10:43Dayna Roselli: You never know?
- 10:44Sean McAllister: No, uh he uh that's very likely that he could show up at the Pro Bowl or even during Super Bowl weekend, too.
- 10:50Sean McAllister: So we have a couple weeks back to back where there is a very good likelihood of Tom Brady showing up.
- 10:58Sean McAllister: And you know, Dana, there have been rumors over the past couple years that uh this was even before uh Tom Brady went down to Florida.
- 11:07Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 11:08Sean McAllister: There were rumors that he could end up moving here to Las Vegas with his family.
- 11:14Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 11:15Dayna Roselli: I mean, why not?
- 11:16Dayna Roselli: We just this winter has been like the best weather ever.
- 11:19Dayna Roselli: It really has.
- 11:20Dayna Roselli: I don't know why everyone doesn't live here.
- 11:22Dayna Roselli: But yeah, I'd love for uh Tom to move to town.
- 11:25Dayna Roselli: And you know, I was just thinking, I was laughing because when you said he might be here Super Bowl weekend, maybe just come and have fun, you know.
- 11:30Dayna Roselli: I was thinking that drunk Tom Brady after he won the Super Bowl last year was the best piece of video I'd seen all year.
- 11:37Sean McAllister: It really was, and he caught some some flack for it, but you know what?
- 11:41Sean McAllister: He was celebrating, he was being happy.
- 11:44Sean McAllister: Good on you, Tom.
- 11:45Dayna Roselli: And real quick, speaking of Super Bowl, um I just watched that Janet Jackson documentary that came out on Lifetime.
- 11:50Sean McAllister: That's supposed to be really good.
- 11:51Dayna Roselli: It was so good, Sean.
- 11:53Dayna Roselli: I literally woke up and started watching it one morning because I was up really early and couldn't sleep, and then I finished all four parts and that morning it was so good.
- 12:02Dayna Roselli: But it's on Lifetime, it's free to watch.
- 12:04Dayna Roselli: There's limited commercials in there, so every now and then you'll hit a commercial, but it's worth it.
- 12:08Dayna Roselli: Uh, really well done documentary, and she's in Las Vegas for a lot of it.
- 12:12Dayna Roselli: She talks about the impact that Las Vegas had on her performing, you know, the Jackson 5, and what Las Vegas meant to their family and their performances and kind of differentiating the Jackson 5 from her and all that kind of thing.
- 12:27Dayna Roselli: She also visits Michael Jackson's house.
- 12:29Sean McAllister: Yeah, because he lived here for years.
- 12:31Dayna Roselli: Yeah, when he lived here, and she talks about during this time how things became a little odd and off with Michael and her relationship.
- 12:38Dayna Roselli: So it's really interesting.
- 12:40Dayna Roselli: She drives down the strip and she, like you, like I just said, goes to Michael's house.
- 12:44Dayna Roselli: Like you said, he lived here.
- 12:45Dayna Roselli: So um, if you get a chance, check it out.
- 12:47Dayna Roselli: It's on Lifetime.
- 12:48Dayna Roselli: And I just it was really one of my favorite shows at Park MGM that surprised me.
- 12:52Dayna Roselli: I had never seen a Janet Jackson concert.
- 12:54Dayna Roselli: So I went to see the one that she had at Park MGM, and I was blown away.
- 12:59Dayna Roselli: Just I love big dance numbers.
- 13:01Dayna Roselli: I love fans and blowing hair and the whole not in the costume changes.
- 13:06Dayna Roselli: That's my thing.
- 13:07Dayna Roselli: So I really enjoyed it.
- 13:08Dayna Roselli: I was super impressed, and I thought it was one of the most fun shows that I'd been.
- 13:12Dayna Roselli: And you forget how you recognize every single song.
- 13:16Sean McAllister: She has a lot of hits.
- 13:17Dayna Roselli: So many hits, tons of number ones.
- 13:19Dayna Roselli: Rhythm Nation, Control, you name it.
- 13:22Dayna Roselli: Um, lots of people in the documentary too.
- 13:24Dayna Roselli: Paula Abdul, I didn't realize she was the choreographer for uh control back in the day.
- 13:29Dayna Roselli: Oh, really?
- 13:30Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and so she's interviewed in it.
- 13:32Dayna Roselli: Um, lots of people in the documentary.
- 13:34Dayna Roselli: Check it out if you can.
- 13:35Dayna Roselli: Again, it's on Lifetime and it's free.
- 13:37Sean McAllister: Actually, yeah, didn't Janet Jackson give Paula Abdul her break like in the music industry?
- 13:43Sean McAllister: I think Janet Jackson's video might have been one of the first that Paula Abdul choreographed after being a Laker girl.
- 13:49Dayna Roselli: Could be, it could be.
- 13:50Dayna Roselli: Uh she talks about how she was brought in for this video.
- 13:54Dayna Roselli: And I mean, that was really I think it was Janet's first album that went to number one.
- 13:59Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 13:59Dayna Roselli: Um and you know, Control was such a great dance video.
- 14:03Dayna Roselli: Iconic, yeah.
- 14:04Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and and Paula talked so much about how Janet really wanted to differentiate herself from like the Jackson 5 back then and her brothers, and you know, um so anyway, it's really interesting.
- 14:17Dayna Roselli: Yeah, Paula Abdul had a show here for you know for a while too in Las Vegas.
- 14:21Dayna Roselli: Wasn't she supposed to return at some point too?
- 14:23Sean McAllister: Or I think she was supposed to move over to uh Paris.
- 14:26Sean McAllister: Right.
- 14:27Sean McAllister: To the Paris theater, but that was before the pandemic, and so nothing has been announced since then.
- 14:34Sean McAllister: We'll have to check on Paula.
- 14:35Sean McAllister: I love I loved her show.
- 14:36Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I didn't see it.
- 14:38Dayna Roselli: You said it was great, and I can only imagine.
- 14:39Dayna Roselli: She's fun on TikTok if you get a chance.
- 14:42Dayna Roselli: Check in on Paula.
- 14:43Sean McAllister: And she's great in person too.
- 14:44Sean McAllister: I love Paula.
- 14:45Sean McAllister: Uh speaking of shows, Dana, another show over at Park MGM that I'm super excited that is returning with more performances is Lady Gaga Jazz and Piano.
- 14:56Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 14:57Dayna Roselli: She announced nine new performances, April and May, and everyone's just going crazy over it because I don't think people can get enough.
- 15:04Dayna Roselli: It's such a word-of-mouth show that everyone talks about that I think people return to it, and then new people are happy to get the chance to finally get a ticket to it.
- 15:13Sean McAllister: Yes, and what I'm excited about too, in addition to Lady Gaga and Jazz and Piano coming back to uh the Dolby Live Theater at Park MGM, uh Gaga's band leader, Brian Newman, has a late, late, late night show over at Nomad at the library over at Nomad.
- 15:32Sean McAllister: And I'm excited to sleep all day and get ready to go out and have a good time at his show over there as well.
- 15:40Sean McAllister: I don't believe dates have been announced for that, but with Lady Gaga's show coming back for more dates, uh those usually go hand in hand.
- 15:49Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and I bet you I wonder if with the Grammys going on, if he'll do something.
- 15:53Dayna Roselli: Because she starts her shows, I think, the next weekend after the Grammys are in Las Vegas, so she's probably coming in for all that, maybe rehearsals.
- 16:00Dayna Roselli: I bet they have a little party or something like that.
- 16:02Sean McAllister: I wouldn't doubt it.
- 16:03Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 16:03Dayna Roselli: Um, also something more um, let's see, our era, Sean.
- 16:07Dayna Roselli: I'm a little older than you, but the gin blossoms were still in the same era.
- 16:14Dayna Roselli: Era.
- 16:15Dayna Roselli: Yeah, the gin blossoms were huge for me during college, and I love them.
- 16:20Dayna Roselli: They are coming to Las Vegas.
- 16:21Dayna Roselli: I'm excited about that, and they're gonna be under the stars at Green Valley Ranch.
- 16:26Sean McAllister: And that's such a a great venue that doesn't get a a lot of credit.
- 16:31Sean McAllister: I I don't feel.
- 16:32Sean McAllister: And so uh it's great that that gin blossoms will be over there and they're doing their whole popular album.
- 16:39Dayna Roselli: So I mean it's gonna be I we may need to go to that for sure.
- 16:42Sean McAllister: A hundred percent.
- 16:43Sean McAllister: I'm down.
- 16:44Dayna Roselli: And then the Steve Miller band, I mean, he was huge during my high school years.
- 16:48Dayna Roselli: I think our prom song was a Steve Miller song.
- 16:51Sean McAllister: It probably was.
- 16:52Dayna Roselli: So uh he's coming to the Venetian, and you know, Steve Miller, the Steve Miller band, headed up by Steve Miller, so that'll be fun too, over at the Venetian.
- 17:01Dayna Roselli: Then I'm not sure about Bad Bunny, but they apparently are something because is it even a they?
- 17:06Dayna Roselli: I'm just gonna, I didn't even research Bad Bunny.
- 17:09Sean McAllister: No, Bad Bunny is a he.
- 17:10Dayna Roselli: It's a he.
- 17:11Sean McAllister: Bad bunny is a he.
- 17:12Sean McAllister: Okay, so he's kicking his tour off here in Las Vegas, but uh it was such a big hit that added more dates.
- 17:20Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 17:20Dayna Roselli: So now there's another date, and it's gonna be at Allegiant Stadium, so um, it's not like small peanuts.
- 17:25Dayna Roselli: So apparently people love Bad Bunny.
- 17:27Dayna Roselli: Um I'll have to look into that and get all up to date um because I am not uh savvy on the bunny.
- 17:36Dayna Roselli: But I know that Alesso is.
- 17:38Sean McAllister: Yeah, Alesso, yep.
- 17:40Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 17:40Dayna Roselli: Alesso is joining the bad bunny.
- 17:43Dayna Roselli: Just bad bunny, no the see, like it's like when your parents say, I saw that on the Facebook.
- 17:50Dayna Roselli: You know?
- 17:51Sean McAllister: That's exactly it.
- 17:52Dayna Roselli: Or it went over to the Barnes and Noble.
- 17:54Sean McAllister: Yeah, he's not the bad bunny, just bad bunny.
- 17:57Dayna Roselli: Yep, our age is showing for me anyway.
- 18:00Sean McAllister: Well, I don't know about that, Dana, because listen, from the start of 2022, I feel like you've turned over a new leaf.
- 18:07Sean McAllister: You ushered in this year by going out all night at Marquee Nightclub, and you have had some banger weekends lately, including just this one that has passed.
- 18:19Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I had some friends in town, and you know, you gotta do it up because you know they want to do stuff, right?
- 18:25Dayna Roselli: And uh yeah, I was out and about and uh some more late nights this weekend, and I figured I'd run through some of the things that I did, some of the people I talked to.
- 18:33Sean McAllister: At least the stuff you can talk about.
- 18:35Dayna Roselli: The stuff I can talk about.
- 18:36Dayna Roselli: I may have been in bed most of Saturday in the day, by the way.
- 18:41Dayna Roselli: So uh first of all, uh beautiful weekend because it was busy but not too busy.
- 18:46Dayna Roselli: And for locals, we like that, right?
- 18:48Dayna Roselli: We don't like that, you know, we want it to be busy and we want the money coming in and all the fun and all that.
- 18:52Dayna Roselli: But I was even chatting with my Uber driver and she was like, yeah, it's kind of been a slow month, but the roads have been quiet, but it's been kind of nice and things are starting to pick up.
- 19:00Dayna Roselli: So um we are definitely gearing up for a lot of stuff, and I know you talked about that earlier, Sean, with all the sports stuff.
- 19:06Dayna Roselli: So, but a couple things I did um went to check out a couple new places.
- 19:10Dayna Roselli: One of them, Genting Palace at the Resorts World.
- 19:14Dayna Roselli: This was a Chinese restaurant, and I didn't even know uh it was there.
- 19:19Dayna Roselli: And my friends were like, Oh, we feel like Chinese tonight, we made a reservation.
- 19:22Dayna Roselli: So um, FYI, delicious food there.
- 19:25Dayna Roselli: A little upscale, but if you love Chinese, we got a little bit of everything for the whole table, and it was so good.
- 19:33Sean McAllister: Genting Palace is the name of it.
- 19:34Dayna Roselli: Genting Palace in resorts world.
- 19:36Dayna Roselli: You go right to the end where the kind of long walkway of shops is and turn to the left.
- 19:41Dayna Roselli: Beautiful restaurant, too.
- 19:42Dayna Roselli: Really enjoyed that.
- 19:43Dayna Roselli: We did hit up Delilah, and I've been there before, we've talked about that, but I also wanted to point out that I didn't realize Delilah opened on weekdays now, too.
- 19:52Sean McAllister: Yes, and that's just recent.
- 19:54Sean McAllister: Within the past week or so, I believe, they started opening up on weekdays.
- 19:58Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 19:58Sean McAllister: Over at Wynn.
- 20:00Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 20:00Dayna Roselli: So I mean that opens up more time slots for people to check it out.
- 20:03Dayna Roselli: Because remember, it's been so hard to just get in there in a reservation.
- 20:06Dayna Roselli: Even I had to text a a friend that works there and say, Can you get us in?
- 20:09Dayna Roselli: And we had to go early at like 6 p.m., which was fine.
- 20:11Dayna Roselli: But um, it's not easy to get in there.
- 20:13Dayna Roselli: Um, Chica over at the Venetian is back open.
- 20:17Dayna Roselli: Chef Lorena.
- 20:18Sean McAllister: Chef Lorena Garcia, yeah.
- 20:20Dayna Roselli: Uh great restaurant, great vibe.
- 20:22Dayna Roselli: Went to a deluxe version magazine party there the other day.
- 20:26Dayna Roselli: Uh, and just reminded of how good the drinks are and the margaritas there.
- 20:29Dayna Roselli: Just beautiful restaurant.
- 20:30Dayna Roselli: If you get to stop by at all at the Venetian, check out Chica.
- 20:34Dayna Roselli: When I was at Resorts World, I did a loop around Carver Steak.
- 20:38Sean McAllister: Yep.
- 20:39Sean McAllister: The new steakhouse that just opened up uh within the past month or so over at Resorts World.
- 20:45Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I decided, let me, you know, dip in and see what it looks like, because I'm sure we'll go there eventually.
- 20:50Dayna Roselli: But um, it was cool, it was kind of like in the round, you walk in and there's a bar, and then if you go to the right or to the left, that's kind of where how you get to the dining room, and it's kind of like a full circle.
- 21:00Dayna Roselli: But when I looked outside, I noticed it and it wasn't the warmest night, it was a little chilly, but there were people eating on the patio with the heater lamp, but the patio looks great.
- 21:09Dayna Roselli: So, heads up, um, I love a good steakhouse patio.
- 21:13Sean McAllister: I know.
- 21:13Sean McAllister: We don't really have a lot of steakhouse patios.
- 21:16Sean McAllister: We don't.
- 21:16Sean McAllister: We don't so that's unique.
- 21:18Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so that was really pretty, uh low lighting.
- 21:21Dayna Roselli: Uh one side had a lot of like kind of U-shaped booths.
- 21:24Dayna Roselli: There were tables on the other side, but it looks really nice.
- 21:26Dayna Roselli: And I just have to say again, I just love Resorts World.
- 21:29Dayna Roselli: It is literally become my favorite.
- 21:31Dayna Roselli: I just think it's such a great I don't know.
- 21:33Dayna Roselli: I love the high ceilings, I love how every single area is just beautiful.
- 21:39Dayna Roselli: I'm a fan.
- 21:40Dayna Roselli: I'm a fan of Resorts World.
- 21:41Dayna Roselli: I'm still I'm still going with it.
- 21:44Dayna Roselli: Enjoyed some time at the Wind 2, went over to see the Lake of Dreams show, that's still kicking up.
- 21:48Dayna Roselli: Um, they're redoing the one patio on the bottom floor, so you have to go to the second floor for a little while to see the show.
- 21:57Dayna Roselli: If you just want to see the show in grab a Drink.
- 22:00Dayna Roselli: You can of course go to either of the restaurants Lakeside and SW to eat on the patio as well.
- 22:06Dayna Roselli: But heads up, I don't know what they're doing out there, but I look forward to seeing the renovations.
- 22:09Dayna Roselli: It said coming April 2022.
- 22:11Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 22:12Sean McAllister: So soon.
- 22:12Dayna Roselli: Soon.
- 22:13Sean McAllister: Which is good.
- 22:14Dayna Roselli: Anything you did this weekend compared to that?
- 22:16Sean McAllister: Um it was relatively low-key.
- 22:19Sean McAllister: Had uh dinner and drinks with with friends.
- 22:22Sean McAllister: Um we did end up like buying a house.
- 22:27Dayna Roselli: So that was kind of a big deal.
- 22:29Sean McAllister: That took up a lot of our time.
- 22:30Sean McAllister: There was a lot of paperwork going on there.
- 22:33Sean McAllister: But other than that, it was kind of low-key.
- 22:36Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and I'm excited.
- 22:36Dayna Roselli: The home office is moving closer to me in central Las Vegas.
- 22:40Sean McAllister: So we won't say closer to the strip.
- 22:42Dayna Roselli: But I love it.
- 22:43Dayna Roselli: My gas, my gas tank is gonna is already like shooting streamers.
- 22:49Dayna Roselli: That'll be an exciting time.
- 22:51Sean McAllister: I know we should.
- 22:52Dayna Roselli: Well, decorate my car, like when you know, homecoming in high school, when I make my first inaugural trip to the house, the home office, it's gonna take me five minutes.
- 23:01Sean McAllister: That is exciting.
- 23:02Dayna Roselli: It is.
- 23:03Dayna Roselli: So um, congratulations on that.
- 23:05Dayna Roselli: It is a big deal.
- 23:06Dayna Roselli: Real estate is hot in Las Vegas right now.
- 23:09Dayna Roselli: Rent prices are skyrocketing.
- 23:10Dayna Roselli: My rent just went up, and I guess it's just a sign of the times.
- 23:14Dayna Roselli: What are you gonna do?
- 23:15Sean McAllister: It is.
- 23:15Sean McAllister: Everything costs more.
- 23:16Sean McAllister: Hey, uh, let's get into tips.
- 23:23Dayna Roselli: All right, let's fly through tips.
- 23:25Dayna Roselli: Um, but I wanted to mention Indian restaurants because I love Indian food, and I don't find a lot of people that do.
- 23:32Dayna Roselli: I have a couple friends that are my go-to when we go have Indian.
- 23:35Dayna Roselli: And it's just it's not for everyone.
- 23:37Dayna Roselli: I love it.
- 23:38Dayna Roselli: Uh, some of my favorite Indian restaurants in town, I figured it would be worth a mention for tips if you're in town and you want to go.
- 23:44Dayna Roselli: There is one close to the strip that's great, and it's an old classic, and it's delicious.
- 23:49Dayna Roselli: It's on like Paradise, or it's on Twain, near Paradise, which is just to the east of the strip, so it's not a far Uber or cab ride.
- 23:56Dayna Roselli: And it's great.
- 23:57Dayna Roselli: Indian Palace has always been one of my favorites.
- 24:00Dayna Roselli: Another one I go to is Mint Bistro.
- 24:02Dayna Roselli: There's two locations in town.
- 24:04Dayna Roselli: Great Indian food there.
- 24:06Dayna Roselli: I love it.
- 24:07Dayna Roselli: There's not a lot of like uh decor in one of the restaurants and a lot of vibes.
- 24:10Dayna Roselli: So the other day we were going out for Indian.
- 24:12Dayna Roselli: Uh, me and my friend that always go out for this type of cuisine, and we said, let's try somewhere different and see if we can, you know, maybe find a little bit more of a vibe.
- 24:21Dayna Roselli: So I discovered this new place called Clove Indian Cuisine and Bar, and it was really great.
- 24:27Dayna Roselli: The food might be like the best I've had so far in town.
- 24:31Dayna Roselli: Wow.
- 24:31Dayna Roselli: Beautiful paintings on the walls, they have a little bar, um, low lighting but not super low.
- 24:38Dayna Roselli: Like it just a really good vibe.
- 24:39Dayna Roselli: Some some TVs up on the wall, great staff, um, really nice, attentive.
- 24:45Dayna Roselli: I loved it.
- 24:46Dayna Roselli: So I thought I would share.
- 24:47Dayna Roselli: And this one is down on Rainbow, uh, just to the south of the 215 area.
- 24:52Dayna Roselli: So you know that whole shopping area and different plazas.
- 24:54Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 24:55Dayna Roselli: And they're open 11 to 3, and then they close for a little bit, and then they're open 5 to 10.
- 24:59Dayna Roselli: So they're open, you know, later if you want to go to dinner at like 8 o'clock or something.
- 25:03Dayna Roselli: Sure.
- 25:03Dayna Roselli: But Clove Indian Cuisine and Bar, I highly recommend.
- 25:07Sean McAllister: Ooh, all right.
- 25:08Sean McAllister: I'm gonna have to mark that one down.
- 25:09Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 25:10Sean McAllister: Uh my tip of the week, Dana, we're driving to a job site the other day, and we were driving on a Valley View Boulevard.
- 25:19Dayna Roselli: Right near DI, yeah, right near Desert Inn, the road that goes over the highway and goes over the strip.
- 25:24Sean McAllister: And we passed a costume store called Star Costume, and I had never seen it before, but uh, Dana, you uh know of it.
- 25:37Sean McAllister: And as we got talking about it, I was like, wow, this is a place that not only locals should know about, but anyone visiting Las Vegas should know about star costume and theatrical supply as well.
- 25:51Dayna Roselli: Well, and you said to me, Have you ever been to star costume?
- 25:54Dayna Roselli: Like kind of like you expected me to maybe say no, and I was like, sure have.
- 25:58Sean McAllister: I was not expecting you to say yes.
- 26:00Dayna Roselli: Well, it goes along with my new 2022 theme, right?
- 26:03Dayna Roselli: That's true.
- 26:05Dayna Roselli: But I actually went a couple years ago.
- 26:07Dayna Roselli: A friend had like a masquerade party for a 40th birthday.
- 26:10Dayna Roselli: I needed one of those, you know, masks that you hold to your face or where you can put on with a little string.
- 26:14Dayna Roselli: And so I went into star costume.
- 26:16Dayna Roselli: Um, great store.
- 26:17Dayna Roselli: Sean, they have everything in there, okay?
- 26:19Dayna Roselli: So if you need masquerade stuff, if you need a Halloween costume, if you need showgirl feathers, if you need a mask for something else party themed, oh, like uh what do you call it?
- 26:32Dayna Roselli: Um New Orleans, Mardi Gras.
- 26:34Dayna Roselli: If you need Mardi Gras attire, you can go there.
- 26:37Dayna Roselli: And there's all sorts of stuff.
- 26:40Sean McAllister: And and they even have uh like ballroom dancing, uh, gowns and tuxes and from little kids up to adults.
- 26:48Sean McAllister: So really anything in the the you would need a costume for, whether it's a party, an event, uh a theatrical production.
- 26:57Sean McAllister: Um, just keep uh star costume and theatrical supply in mind, especially if you're coming to town and you have a special event that you're attending.
- 27:08Sean McAllister: You may not need to take up your suitcase space with your costume.
- 27:12Sean McAllister: Just look into it and give them a call and see if you can rent it when you get here.
- 27:16Dayna Roselli: Yeah, great idea.
- 27:17Dayna Roselli: And also I think they have like supplies.
- 27:18Dayna Roselli: I've worked uh like uh the junior league does a fashion show every year, and I know they donate a lot of supplies for the high school kids to create fashion.
- 27:27Dayna Roselli: So I think they also have like, you know, if you are maybe sewing something on your own, creating something on your own, they have all the different kinds of supplies that you need there too.
- 27:36Sean McAllister: Yeah, huge variety of hats and makeup, too.
- 27:38Dayna Roselli: So close to the strip, like you mentioned.
- 27:40Sean McAllister: Very close to the strip, very convenient for all of your costume and theatrical needs.
- 27:46Dayna Roselli: And you know, if you need something a little bit more advanced, you can go over to the love boutique, which is over DI on to uh That's a different kind of costume, Dana.
- 27:54Sean McAllister: We're entering a different realm of theatrics there.
- 27:57Dayna Roselli: Some people might need to be like, I need to Vegas it up in a different way.
- 28:00Dayna Roselli: So I'm telling you, there are options.
- 28:02Sean McAllister: Yeah, I there are definitely options.
- 28:04Sean McAllister: Hey, another quick thing I wanted to mention, just super quick, uh, was over at IKEA the other day, and directly across the the highway from IKEA is the location where the new station casino, uh Durango Station, is going to be.
- 28:20Sean McAllister: And they had uh the heavy equipment out there grading the construction site, getting it all prepped.
- 28:27Sean McAllister: So things are moving along uh over for Durango Station.
- 28:30Sean McAllister: Just wanted to mention that.
- 28:31Dayna Roselli: We love our station casinos, they're great.
- 28:33Dayna Roselli: The locals love them especially, so we're excited for that one to open, that is for sure.
- 28:39Dayna Roselli: Um, listen, have a great uh week, everyone.
- 28:42Dayna Roselli: We will be back next weekend.
- 28:44Dayna Roselli: What is it?
- 28:44Dayna Roselli: We've got uh next the next following weekend, we've got Super Bowl and Valentine's Day all in one weekend.
- 28:49Dayna Roselli: So I don't know.
- 28:50Dayna Roselli: I mean, I feel like a lot of husbands and wives probably fight Super Bowl weekend, so the husband's really gonna need to make it up on Monday.
- 28:58Sean McAllister: There you go.
- 28:59Sean McAllister: The timing is good.
- 29:00Dayna Roselli: The reminder is now we have a high mail demo that listens to our podcast.
- 29:04Dayna Roselli: So hey, men, whether you know you gotta get on it.
- 29:07Dayna Roselli: Get on it now.
- 29:08Dayna Roselli: All right, that's my advice.
- 29:09Dayna Roselli: Have a great week, everyone.
