- 0:30SPEAKER_01: Hi guys, welcome back to Skin Care Anarchy.
- 0:33SPEAKER_01: This is Ekta, and I have two wonderful guests with me today, and um, they have so much knowledge um between the both of them.
- 0:40SPEAKER_01: And so I'm so excited to introduce you guys to the founders of uh the Williamsburg based spa, Atelier Butta, um Daria Rosaka, and Anita Zura.
- 0:53SPEAKER_01: So welcome to the show, Daria and so excited that you're here.
- 0:57SPEAKER_04: Hi, thank you for having us.
- 0:59SPEAKER_04: It's a pleasure.
- 1:01SPEAKER_01: Oh, the pleasure is mine.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: I'm so excited to speak to both of you because I know that you guys have a combined 20 years of experience in um aesthetics, and you know that's that's a lot.
- 1:12SPEAKER_01: So I I can't wait to talk all about skin health and you know your journeys.
- 1:17SPEAKER_01: So I want to get started.
- 1:18SPEAKER_01: Um, maybe Anita, you can get us started um about how you and Daria really met and how all of this came to be.
- 1:26SPEAKER_03: So actually, we met uh as a mutual friend, and uh we becoming friends, like we had really great connections together, and uh and it's just happened, you know.
- 1:40SPEAKER_03: We like kind of similar, we love the same thing, we have similar style.
- 1:46SPEAKER_03: So basically that's how we started, and and it's and we're doing great, and we become business partner, and we like sister right now.
- 1:56SPEAKER_01: That's so cool.
- 1:57SPEAKER_01: I love that.
- 1:58SPEAKER_01: I love when women um you know partner up and it turns out to be an amazing like entrepreneurship.
- 2:04SPEAKER_01: That's so it's always exciting for me to hear that.
- 2:07SPEAKER_01: So you guys were just you were always friends, or you guys met and then quickly afterwards you became business partners.
- 2:14SPEAKER_03: So we basically met like 12 years ago.
- 2:18SPEAKER_03: That's the first time.
- 2:20SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I was actually like a client of Aneta.
- 2:24SPEAKER_04: She did my perfect browse, and this is how we met.
- 2:29SPEAKER_04: Then it was like we became friends, and then my journey took a look toward the aesthetics, yeah, and I was like so in love with aesthetics with the skincare.
- 2:43SPEAKER_04: So I went to the school, and then Aneta came up with an idea to kind of open our own business, yeah.
- 2:53SPEAKER_04: So basically, she pushed me to it.
- 2:56SPEAKER_01: Oh, that's good.
- 2:57SPEAKER_01: You need you need one person, you need one person the duo to be the more, you know, like let's do this.
- 3:04SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yes, but she was always very intimate.
- 3:08SPEAKER_03: So I just had to like, you know, basically push her a little bit with a couple of words, and that was it.
- 3:15SPEAKER_01: That's awesome.
- 3:16SPEAKER_01: No, that's really good.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: And I, you know, one thing I'm really excited about, um, you know, in terms of hosting you guys is that I don't get a chance to talk to a lot of very experienced um aestheticians and just, you know, really talk about the whole process of like, you know, starting a spa, you know, making it successful, and then you know, applying all of your knowledge and and stuff um, you know, to all of the all of the things that you guys, you know, do and all the services you offer.
- 3:43SPEAKER_01: So I really want to get started by talking about um what made you guys want to start a spa versus like you know, maybe a skincare line or you know, some other type of business.
- 3:54SPEAKER_01: Like, why did you guys go down that uh route?
- 3:57SPEAKER_04: You know, honestly, it's because it's our passion, the skincare.
- 4:02SPEAKER_04: So it's not about even making a skincare line because we're not scientists, you know, and it's more about us loving to do what we do, it just making our clients happy, just to see some of the journeys to a better skin routine, to better skin in general.
- 4:23SPEAKER_04: It just makes us happy to see that them happy, and unfortunately, sometimes it's too much information out there and like on the social media, and sometimes it's misleading some people.
- 4:36SPEAKER_04: Not saying that it's wrong, it just not everything is for everyone.
- 4:41SPEAKER_04: We are living customized approach, so it's very, very important to kind of care of the for the client in a specific way, to see their skin routine, to see their skin today, you know, not like it's five years ago or a week even ago, just to see today and to kind of fix it or help the best way we can, you know, and it's really, really kind of it warms our hearts to see that we can actually do it, you know.
- 5:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, I bet, and I bet that's a really um cool experience because I know our skin is such a reflection of how we feel.
- 5:22SPEAKER_01: And so when our skin looks good and when someone can really help us, it's like you know, it's it's life-changing a lot of times.
- 5:29SPEAKER_01: So I I completely understand, you know, and I can see how that would truly be a passion, you know, to be able to see that it's it's very similar to I think uh doctors when they treat, you know, we treat our patients and then we see it worked.
- 5:43SPEAKER_01: So yeah, exactly.
- 5:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's it.
- 5:47SPEAKER_01: So, you know, I wanna I wanna ask though, because you know, I like I said, I don't get a lot of opportunities to speak to aestheticians, and I I want to know what the um the education is in um you know going to school for this, and you know, can you guys tell us a little bit about that?
- 6:03SPEAKER_01: Like what do you what are the things that are focused on in terms of the education aspect?
- 6:08SPEAKER_04: You know, education is very good, it's very detailed, but we would say that a more detailed education is when you partner with a specific brand, especially the brands like we partnered with.
- 6:23SPEAKER_04: It's brands that are the most popular, that are working on their like in the world, is biologic research, Velmont, Environment so those uh brands they train you, they train you their own protocol, so it's a very also specific approach with each brand.
- 6:45SPEAKER_04: They have their own massage technique, their own application of the product, their own kind of like testimony, you know.
- 6:54SPEAKER_04: So I feel like it's very important not to just limit yourself only on the school, if that makes sense, yeah.
- 7:04SPEAKER_04: Because there's so much more in the skincare that it's never enough to learn.
- 7:11SPEAKER_04: There is always something more to learn and something more to just explore.
- 7:17SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that's why we are like willing to go for like any events or like any training.
- 7:23SPEAKER_03: We're trying to be trained like every two, three months, because each time you're gonna go, you might know Brand for like 10 years or five years, but each time you're gonna go, you're always gonna learn something new.
- 7:35SPEAKER_03: And it's it's really amazing.
- 7:38SPEAKER_01: I love that, and I love that you guys are constantly, you know, putting yourself out there to relearn techniques or expand on what you already know, you know.
- 7:46SPEAKER_01: I I find it very interesting because I know with Biologique, like it's very um, you know, people I I you know back in the day, or not back in the day, but a few years ago when the P450 lotion came out and it was all over Instagram, everybody was just using it, you know, and I was just like, oh my gosh, like I'm so scared.
- 8:07SPEAKER_01: Why would you use this at home?
- 8:08SPEAKER_01: You know, like why would you just on your own?
- 8:11SPEAKER_01: So it's like, you know, I'm so happy that, you know, there are professionals like you that are here to just kind of be this, this, you know, example of you need to go to a professional when you're using these kind of products because they're very specific.
- 8:26SPEAKER_01: And like you said, there are techniques.
- 8:28SPEAKER_01: So, you know, I would love it if you guys could walk us through, you know, maybe if someone comes in, you know, and they want a facial, what is your approach?
- 8:36SPEAKER_01: Like, what's your initial approach to like assessing the uh the client and then deciding, you know, which product line is best for them.
- 8:45SPEAKER_03: So we always trying to talk to the clients on the beginning, of course, like what's their expectation are, and we checking their skin.
- 8:56SPEAKER_03: We also have a visual app machine from Biologic Reshage that it can help us to like even go deeper.
- 9:03SPEAKER_03: It can like basically scan your face and tell us exactly what you talk about, what to focus on.
- 9:11SPEAKER_03: So basically, we're starting with that, and then you know, we're moving forward.
- 9:16SPEAKER_03: It's like depends.
- 9:17SPEAKER_03: We're trying to like you know, customize all the facials, plus there's like hundreds of different products, so we're trying to choose the best product for the clients, it's just like depends on a skin's skin instance, yes.
- 9:31SPEAKER_04: Yeah, basically, we kind of also, as Aneta mentioned at the beginning, we provide a little consultation, yeah, and we ask the client what they would like to focus on, you know, and we kind of try them, try to tell them that they need to prioritize their needs, they need exactly because we want them to understand that it's a journey, so we need to take little steps for better results.
- 10:00SPEAKER_04: So, for example, if they want to get a more to if they would like to focus more on their cleaning the pores and just you know making the skin flawless, we would always say, Let's just start with pores, let's just clean you and take it from there.
- 10:19SPEAKER_04: For example, some of the clients they would like to focus more on elasticity and you know, just fight that gravity that takes everything down, you know.
- 10:28SPEAKER_04: Yeah, so then we take a totally different approach and we focus something on anti-aging, then we also emphasize different massages that also biologic research uh kind of offers, you know.
- 10:44SPEAKER_04: Yeah, so it's like every day with every client, it's a different approach.
- 10:49SPEAKER_04: That's what actually it makes the best because we never know what we're gonna do.
- 10:54SPEAKER_04: So it's always fascinating and it's always great, yeah.
- 10:58SPEAKER_03: But also this kind of clients that they would like to have, they would like to resolve the problem right away, you know, like after one visit, and like and this is it.
- 11:10SPEAKER_03: So we try and always explain to them that it takes time, that yes, they have to like go on like their daily routine and yeah, just basically listen to us because like we always trying to like help our clients, you know.
- 11:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, I think that's a great point.
- 11:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's a great point, and I think that's the biggest problem actually in the skincare industry is that people don't know how to stick to a routine, you know.
- 11:38SPEAKER_01: A lot of people say there's so many products and there's so much uh you know stuff out there, and I don't know what to use, but it's like sometimes I think to myself, well, if you just pick one line that works for your skin and then you stick to it, you know, and you do it every day and you have a routine, and you know, you give it a month, two months, something, and then you see and and and see if it made a result, you know, any results or any changes, and then you will know, you know, if this is working or not.
- 12:06SPEAKER_01: So I agree with you.
- 12:07SPEAKER_01: I think that that's a that's a general problem, you know, in terms of educating the consumers.
- 12:13SPEAKER_04: We totally agree, and it's also important to understand that sometimes products in one line are great, and in another line they're also great, but when you put them together, they contraindicate each other, and that's when the problem becomes, and that's when the client may think everything is not working, it's not just everything is not working, it's just because the mix-up might cause more problems than actually fix them.
- 12:42SPEAKER_03: Some ingredients just don't like each other, and that might cause the the major problem, like irritation, over-exfoliation.
- 12:50SPEAKER_04: That's the biggest problem we actually have.
- 12:53SPEAKER_04: We see in the clients the biggest concern that overexfoliation, you know, everyone is hooked now.
- 12:59SPEAKER_04: Retinals, yes, so and sometimes retinol are too harsh, and this client's skin is not ready to take too much at the same time.
- 13:09SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so we're always trying to explain them like how to use the retinol A, or just even from environment, they they have an amazing step up system, which is vitamin A, and basically you're starting from number one and you're building the vitamin A.
- 13:26SPEAKER_03: So you don't have any irritation at all because you're building up.
- 13:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I love I love that.
- 13:33SPEAKER_01: I love that you're bringing this up.
- 13:35SPEAKER_01: Sorry, I'm I'm not trying to interrupt, but I love that you're saying this because honestly, the other day or the other week actually, I was having this conversation with a a friend of mine, you know, and we were just talking about skincare, and we were talking about does everybody need a retinol?
- 13:51SPEAKER_01: And he was asking me, he was like, What do you think?
- 13:53SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, you know, I don't think so.
- 13:55SPEAKER_01: I don't think everybody in the world needs a retinol product, you know.
- 13:58SPEAKER_01: I think it's really a matter of what suits your skin and does it work for your skin?
- 14:04SPEAKER_01: And is it is your skin reacting well or not?
- 14:06SPEAKER_01: I mean, do you guys have uh you know clients like that that come in and they're like, no, I have to use a retinol or I have to use this, and you have to explain to them?
- 14:15SPEAKER_04: Well, it's basically every day we have at least one client.
- 14:20SPEAKER_04: Yeah, but you know what retinol it is important, it just people need to understand that retinol is a vitamin A.
- 14:26SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it just there's different formulation of vitamin A.
- 14:30SPEAKER_04: It depends how it's either it sits on the face, on the skin, or it penetrates deeper.
- 14:37SPEAKER_04: In order to make a difference from within the body, the formulation needs to be specific, it needs to make a change from within, it needs to kind of uh physically change our you know, uh kind of this so Jesus.
- 14:54SPEAKER_04: So basically, vitamin A needs to go deeper in order to make a physical change within your skin.
- 15:00SPEAKER_04: Yeah, when it's just on the surface, it doesn't really much, you know, do much.
- 15:05SPEAKER_04: That's why we always sometimes tell the client in order to graduate from high school, you need to go to the first grade.
- 15:11SPEAKER_04: Yeah, so just stop, you know, start slower and build up, as Anetta mentioned.
- 15:17SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so basically, everything that defines healthy-looking, beautiful skin, it's it's a direct result of vitamin A.
- 15:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, oh really?
- 15:27SPEAKER_03: Wow, and it's the only molecule that helps keep the skin healthy and heal and help to provide anti-aging benefits.
- 15:36SPEAKER_03: So basically, I'm always telling to my clients that vitamin A is an oxygen for our skin, that's why it's so important to use on your like daily basis, it just needs to be a correct one.
- 15:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 15:50SPEAKER_01: So then what is your okay?
- 15:51SPEAKER_01: So I want your advice then, because you know, you guys know what's best.
- 15:54SPEAKER_01: So I want your advice for everyone listening.
- 15:57SPEAKER_01: Like, you know, if somebody is not on any kind of vitamin A or vitamin A derivative, um, what is something that you know a good place to start?
- 16:06SPEAKER_01: Do you think that they should come in for like a consultation with you know professionals like you, or should they, you know, pick a line?
- 16:14SPEAKER_01: Or I mean, can you give us some tips on how to how to really start with with vitamin A?
- 16:20SPEAKER_04: Well, of course, consultation is the best choice, yeah, but sometimes people don't have time or just don't want to have a consultation.
- 16:27SPEAKER_04: It's totally normal.
- 16:28SPEAKER_04: It just we always believe that if uh they don't have to start on a prescription because we believe it's too strong.
- 16:40SPEAKER_04: So even if they the environment, as Anetta mentioned, has a great step-up system, which they cannot really go wrong.
- 16:47SPEAKER_04: They just step start with the step one, if that makes sense.
- 16:50SPEAKER_03: And what is great with environment that you can basically use the whole year long, not it's like with retinol that you can use just at nighttime or the and you have to stop basically during the summer because you're gonna get more damage than like any benefits from it, you know what I mean?
- 17:08SPEAKER_03: So basically, environment you can use 12 months like during the whole year, morning, night time, and you're not gonna see any damage, no irritation, no hyperpigmentation.
- 17:23SPEAKER_03: So it's really it's really amazing product, yeah.
- 17:27SPEAKER_01: Wow, I didn't know.
- 17:28SPEAKER_01: I didn't know uh environment makes such a good product for or for vitamin A.
- 17:32SPEAKER_01: That's interesting.
- 17:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah, um, yeah, I need to explore that.
- 17:38SPEAKER_01: That's really cool.
- 17:39SPEAKER_01: Um, you know, and I want to okay, so I have a question then because you know, on TikTok, for example, I have so many like nightmares when I watch TikTok because people are like in these extractions and they are, I'm sure you guys know what I mean.
- 17:55SPEAKER_01: They're doing these like at-home extractions, they're popping their pimples, they're doing all these things.
- 18:00SPEAKER_01: So I want you both to take a minute and give us some advice and tell us what to not do at home because honestly, I think everyone listening, we all need to hear this from you guys because it it's it's a problem, you know.
- 18:13SPEAKER_01: I see teenagers and they're like, I don't know what they're doing.
- 18:16SPEAKER_01: They have like these tweezers and they're like, you know, picking at their face and something, you know.
- 18:22SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I would say like do not overexfoliate, that's number one, and just try to do not really touch your skin if you really don't have to, because you might cause more damage and even scarring.
- 18:36SPEAKER_03: So this is really important.
- 18:38SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so if someone has like really problem, like acne problem, we would like really recommend to go to like any really good spots with like good cosmetics for a consultation and then go from there.
- 18:53SPEAKER_02: Interesting.
- 18:54SPEAKER_04: Yeah, if anyone wants to do something at home, because of course people will not listen to us and still do it, they need to prep the skin.
- 19:03SPEAKER_04: And the best solution is not to force extractions.
- 19:06SPEAKER_04: Yeah, when they're ready, they are ready.
- 19:09SPEAKER_04: When they're not ready, there's no point to pick because they're not gonna do anything, they're gonna just damage, as Anata mentioned, and scar themselves, yeah, and then it's gonna cause them much more to fix that, right?
- 19:21SPEAKER_04: So the good example will be to take to cleanse cleanser should be a couple of things.
- 19:26SPEAKER_03: Double point, especially because we have a lot of pollution in New York.
- 19:30SPEAKER_04: Yes, cleanser should be milky, and the best way with milky cleansers is to do on dry hands, dry face, because then it doesn't really run on you know on the rest of your neck and body.
- 19:43SPEAKER_04: And just massage it, massage it.
- 19:46SPEAKER_04: It doesn't mean if you don't see bubbles that it's not working, it's working.
- 19:50SPEAKER_04: Soaps are not good for us.
- 19:52SPEAKER_04: So whatever is milky, it's great, it's gonna remove all the dead skin, all the pollution from outside.
- 19:59SPEAKER_04: Then the biologic research has a very good mask, it's vivant mask.
- 20:05SPEAKER_04: The environment has a very good mask that SIBU kind of focuses on SIBO production.
- 20:12SPEAKER_04: It's a perfect one if anyone is interested.
- 20:15SPEAKER_04: So it just do masks and not really extract because masks can really help with the sibum production.
- 20:22SPEAKER_04: Yeah, a good toner is also a trick.
- 20:25SPEAKER_04: That P50 that you know about is like you know, call it a cult of biologic research.
- 20:31SPEAKER_04: When you go on a toner, you never go back.
- 20:34SPEAKER_03: Yeah, many clients that they're using P50977D, which it has fennel in it, and they're using for like a year or even three, and it's basically like uh antibiotic to your skin.
- 20:50SPEAKER_03: So we really do not recommend using more than three months because basically your skin is get getting used to that product, and you're not gonna see any results anymore.
- 21:01SPEAKER_03: So we really recommend for clients to stop using after three months, just keep it in the fridge, and then they can just use it as a spot treatment.
- 21:10SPEAKER_01: That's very interesting.
- 21:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like when they need it.
- 21:14SPEAKER_01: Go ahead, go ahead.
- 21:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah, go ahead.
- 21:19SPEAKER_04: No, no, as I mentioned, just as Anetta said, yes, uh, P5970 is yes, it does the job, yeah, it gets rid of breakouts and pimples and acne, but it's very important to not overdo it.
- 21:34SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so basically, three months that's the maximum time.
- 21:38SPEAKER_03: I mean maximum, three to six, it's just like depends on the problem, you know what I mean?
- 21:43SPEAKER_03: But not longer than that.
- 21:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, I think that's a very important message, and I hope everyone uh you guys heard uh both of them because it that's very important to understand is that I think a lot of people at home, you know, they see results when.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: That specific product and they overdo it.
- 22:02SPEAKER_01: You know, I have had uh like for example, just on social media, I've seen people that are using it like every other day or every day, and it's like that's too much.
- 22:11SPEAKER_01: You can't you can't do that.
- 22:13SPEAKER_01: You know, your skin is like it's going to be so thin, and it, you know, it's just going to be so problematic if you do that.
- 22:19SPEAKER_01: So I'm glad that you guys are clarifying that.
- 22:22SPEAKER_01: And also, I, you know, my personal opinion is that I think with lines like Bilogique and you know, it even the ones that are used in these amazing spas like such as yours, you know, they should be used.
- 22:34SPEAKER_01: Um, and and uh your first experience should be with a professional.
- 22:38SPEAKER_01: So, you know, you go and you go see someone like Anita and Daria, and you you you know, you let them do what's best first and then figure out what you need to do because you don't know which order you should be using these products in.
- 22:51SPEAKER_01: You know, there's a specific order, yeah.
- 22:54SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yes.
- 22:55SPEAKER_04: Yeah, biologic research has a lot of products, so it's really can be complicated.
- 23:00SPEAKER_04: And sometimes when it's not chosen the right way, it can actually break you out more.
- 23:06SPEAKER_03: Then you know, so you really need to like you have to know the line basically to help client with like any problems, because yeah, like Daria said, you can cause more damage than help them.
- 23:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 23:19SPEAKER_01: So I have a question then, because I know a lot of one of the biggest problems in skin health is acne, right?
- 23:25SPEAKER_01: So a lot of people suffer from acne, you know, whether it's teenagers or adults, you know, even for me when I was coming into my adult years, I was still dealing with acne.
- 23:35SPEAKER_01: And, you know, for me, when I was younger, I had this that cystic acne, you know, the type that never breaks up, you know, it never comes to the surface.
- 23:43SPEAKER_01: So I want you guys to give some tips if possible, because you know, a lot of people will message us and DM us and say, hey, you know, can you recommend products or tell me what to do because I have cystic acne?
- 23:56SPEAKER_01: And I usually tell them, well, you know, honestly, my first suggestion to you is go see an expert because I don't know what it looks like, right?
- 24:03SPEAKER_01: So I want you to just explain um what you guys, your routine or your your method is in terms of approaching somebody who comes in with cystic acne.
- 24:13SPEAKER_01: Like, how do you approach that kind of client?
- 24:15SPEAKER_04: We always approach it by trying to figure it out what kind of acne they have, because acne can look one way and do something different.
- 24:25SPEAKER_04: Some clients come with a fungi acne that they never even heard about it, and it's really important because it's treated totally different, and then we kind of either help them with doing research about it, so they kind of know also what they're dealing with, and if we cannot help them, we send them to dermatologists.
- 24:47SPEAKER_04: But before we send them to dermatologists, we try to educate them and just put them at least on the basic routine with the genital cleanser, with the toner.
- 24:57SPEAKER_04: It doesn't have to be a strong, it's a strong toner, it can be something very mild, but something that can they stick to because if they're not gonna stick to, it's not gonna really help.
- 25:07SPEAKER_04: If they're gonna hop up, you know, here and there from other lines or not use it, it's not really gonna help them.
- 25:13SPEAKER_04: We also try to put them on a mask that's gonna control the sequel production, and then we recommend them some serums, a moisturizer, something that's gonna kind of purify them, which they hate sometimes because it's getting worse before it's getting better.
- 25:31SPEAKER_04: But you know, we try to explain to them that it's temporary, that we just kind of need to detox a little bit, so your body also, you know, kind of takes it not as an attack, but as a way of figuring it out, you know, yeah.
- 25:47SPEAKER_04: If it's not working, then dermatologist is also a good approach, you know, just to go and see and figure out what kind of acne they have.
- 25:58SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 25:59SPEAKER_01: No, that makes sense.
- 26:00SPEAKER_01: That actually makes a lot of sense, and you know, I think with acne, it's such a sensitive topic, you know, because I know that you know, for me, when I was young, I I discovered what a dermatologist was, you know, when I was a teenager, and then I went and I, you know, I was put on antibiotics and stuff, and that kind of helped me, but it it didn't.
- 26:18SPEAKER_01: And then I discovered, you know, I need to find my own way.
- 26:21SPEAKER_01: But I think sometimes people, you know, they experiment so much that they make it so much worse, and that's what scares me, right?
- 26:30SPEAKER_01: About especially with the skincare industry having so many products, like you know, it scares me because there are these teenagers they're out there and they're trying, like we were talking about, all these exfoliants, and they're trying all these things that are you know too much, too harsh.
- 26:45SPEAKER_01: So, you know, again, you know, it comes down to go see a professional.
- 26:49SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but also I feel like the diet is very important.
- 26:53SPEAKER_02: I would say to avoid some sugar and also dairies, too, right?
- 26:58SPEAKER_02: Because that might cause acne as well, or make it worse, or make it worse, yeah.
- 27:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that makes sense.
- 27:05SPEAKER_01: I've heard that actually.
- 27:06SPEAKER_01: I've heard that about dairy products, especially.
- 27:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 27:09SPEAKER_01: So I I want to ask you because this is more on the business side.
- 27:12SPEAKER_01: I know that you guys launched your um beautiful spa in the midst of COVID and all the chaos that was going on with COVID.
- 27:21SPEAKER_01: So, how was that from like a business perspective?
- 27:23SPEAKER_01: You know, how how how did that work out with um, you know, getting everything together and stuff?
- 27:30SPEAKER_03: So it wasn't beyond the it wasn't planned, yes, that happened during COVID, yes.
- 27:38SPEAKER_03: That's first thing, and it was very challenging for us.
- 27:41SPEAKER_03: I'm not gonna lie that we weren't scared because we were, but to be honest, the past year for us was very good.
- 27:50SPEAKER_03: Uh, we just actually celebrate our first anniversary, and we recently expanded our atelier but made our salon twice the size.
- 28:03SPEAKER_02: Wow, that's so great!
- 28:06SPEAKER_01: Congratulations! That's amazing.
- 28:09SPEAKER_01: Wow, that's really, really great.
- 28:11SPEAKER_01: I mean, I I love hearing that because you know, COVID has impacted so many businesses and it's so different for every business, you know.
- 28:18SPEAKER_01: It's like some businesses are like, yeah, it didn't work out, but yeah, I'm so glad that that didn't have a negative impact.
- 28:24SPEAKER_01: You know, that's really, really good.
- 28:26SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it was great.
- 28:27SPEAKER_03: But it thanks to our amazing clients and coworkers too, who make our jobs so much easier, and we are having a lot of fun here and we love what we think.
- 28:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you know, you guys had mentioned um the milk cleanser, and I forgot to say it back then, but I I want to actually mention this to you guys because I I think you might really like it as you know your pros.
- 28:51SPEAKER_01: So I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
- 28:52SPEAKER_01: But there's this, there's this uh company, it's a very small company.
- 28:56SPEAKER_01: Um, one of my friends actually, she runs it.
- 28:58SPEAKER_01: It's called Imagine and Co.
- 29:00SPEAKER_01: And she's a pharmacist, and she created a milk cleanser, like a milky cleanser, and she was trying to explain it to me.
- 29:06SPEAKER_01: So when I heard you say that when you were explaining that, you know, a milk cleanser, like a milk texture cleanser is good, it reminded me of her.
- 29:14SPEAKER_01: So I'm gonna ask her to send you like a sample and see what you guys think.
- 29:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because like I think you'll really like it.
- 29:20SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's a very beautiful product, and I I remember when she first introduced me to it, she was like, you know, Ecta, you have to try this.
- 29:27SPEAKER_01: Like, you know, this is the way to go with cleanser.
- 29:30SPEAKER_01: So I was like, okay, let me try it.
- 29:31SPEAKER_01: And it's very, very good.
- 29:33SPEAKER_01: So I think you guys would like it.
- 29:34SPEAKER_01: Um, so I'm definitely gonna send that your way.
- 29:36SPEAKER_01: But yeah, I I think, you know, it's important for us, I think, to understand that there is a very much a need for professionals like, you know, such as yourself, and you know, for everyone listening out there, I definitely urge you to go check out um, you know, Atelier Butte and you know, check out the spa and um leave any kind of questions or comments you have for um you know the founders here.
