Speaker 2: We're all about an hour and a half two hours from all of them.

Speaker 2: That's where the name came from.
• 2:38
  Speaker 2: We're a charitable organization.
• 2:41
Speaker 2: We do some fundraisers and give back to local charities.
• 2:46
  Speaker 1: Very nice.
• 2:47
Speaker 1: Where are you right now?
• 2:49
Speaker 2: Actually we're at River Rod.
• 2:50
Speaker 2: We're in New Brussels right now.
• 2:54
Speaker 1: Yeah, did the car club go up there?
• 2:59
  Speaker 2: There's a group of us.
• 3:00
Speaker 1: yes, there's a group of you.
• 3:02
Speaker 1: So some of you are from up there.
• 3:03
  Speaker 1: Well, that's a good shot.
• 3:03
Speaker 1: So there are some of you.
• 3:04
Speaker 1: So some of you are from up there.
• 3:04
  Speaker 1: Well, that's a good shot.
• 3:05
Speaker 1: So there are some of you from the car club that are up there.
• 3:09
Speaker 2: Yeah, about nine of us came up here.
• 3:11
Speaker 1: Okay, Now is the same nine going to be on the Hot Rod Tour with us.
• 3:16
Speaker 2: Probably yeah, yeah, I think all of us.
• 3:20
  Speaker 1: Okay.
• 3:21
Speaker 2: Just a coincidence that several members helped us with the Hot Rod Tour.
• 3:25
Speaker 1: So I'm gathering that the entire community of Victoria down there everybody is a member of something or another all to do with cars.
• 3:34
Speaker 1: It's either the Hot Rod Tour of Texas, or the Crossroads Cruisers, or the orchestra, or the orchestra.
• 3:41
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 3:42
Speaker 1: All right, Because we're going to have the Victoria.
• 3:46
Speaker 1: Is it the symphony?
• 3:48
  Speaker 2: Victoria Symphony.
• 3:49
Speaker 2: Yeah, Victoria Symphony, We'll be jamming man 16-member Jeff, you know, is a drummer so he can sit in on the symphony with the drums.
• 3:58
  Speaker 1: Absolutely.
• 3:58
Speaker 1: Just thought we'd just volunteer him.
• 4:00
Speaker 1: Throw that out there oh okay, all right yeah.
• 4:05
Speaker 2: Who's that sitting in your lap?
• 4:06
Speaker 2: This is my sidekick, Henry Hi.
• 4:09
Speaker 3: Hi, our youngest club member.
• 4:11
  Speaker 3: Youngest club member?
• 4:13
Speaker 2: Yeah, he's always here with me.
• 4:15
Speaker 1: I got a feeling he's been drug along to things that he really doesn't want to be drug along to Do I have to really go.
• 4:21
Speaker 2: No, actually, he begs to go.
• 4:24
Speaker 1: It's interesting because you know I have two girls, I have two daughters, and so I drug them to every car event that I went to Ask them.
• 4:33
Speaker 1: They'll tell you, yes, some of them I liked, other ones weren't all that great.
• 4:39
Speaker 1: It was that kind of thing, but you know they are, they're still special, it was only special.
• 4:45
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 4:46
  Speaker 3: How old.
• 4:46
Speaker 3: There was a time where I was the youngest club member, but then I got replaced.
• 4:51
Speaker 1: Well, yeah, and how old are you?
• 4:53
  Speaker 1: Can I ask?
• 4:55
  Speaker 3: I'm 28.
• 4:56
  Speaker 1: 28.
• 4:57
Speaker 3: I joined when I was 25, or no 24 when I joined, so I've been in the club for about four years.
• 5:05
Speaker 1: Very nice, okay, so when do you I mean the cruisers so do you guys have regular cruises that you go on cruise-ins?
• 5:16
  Speaker 1: Car shows what?
• 5:19
Speaker 2: There's a pretty good group of us that travel to different car shows, usually within two or three hours uh from Victoria.
• 5:29
Speaker 2: So uh, we also, uh different club members will set up some cruises on occasion.
• 5:35
Speaker 2: Uh, we'll go to little country stores, uh, for Morales, when it was open.
• 5:41
Speaker 2: Uh, we'll go eat lunch there.
• 5:43
Speaker 2: We've uh take some back roads hit different spots.
• 5:47
Speaker 2: Christmas lights yeah, we'll do the next town over.
• 5:53
Speaker 2: They do a big Christmas lights over in Cuero, so we'll do a Christmas cruise over there, go through the Christmas lights and that's about 45 minutes at least driving through the lights, and then we'll go eat dinner after that.
• 6:09
  Speaker 1: Interesting.
• 6:09
Speaker 1: A lot of eating, a lot of eating.
• 6:11
Speaker 1: There's a lot of eating going on right.
• 6:13
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, always, I think this is just a suggestion that I'm going to throw out there, because I'm that different kind of guy, I'm the weirdo of all of them.
• 6:25
Speaker 1: I'm thinking, maybe, about a Christmas lights cruise in July or August.
• 6:30
Speaker 1: I want to find someone to have some.
• 6:34
Speaker 1: Well, I mean, you know.
• 6:35
Speaker 1: So wherever it is that you go, there's usually a one area of town that everybody puts up lights.
• 6:41
Speaker 1: Hey, so let's do it again in July.
• 6:43
Speaker 5: The Hallmark Channel has.
• 6:45
  Speaker 3: Christmas in July.
• 6:47
Speaker 1: It serves a couple of purposes.
• 6:49
Speaker 1: You could have the fireworks, clearly, but you'd never have to take the Christmas lights down.
• 6:54
Speaker 1: You'd have it twice a year and just turn them on in the 4th of July and then turn them off, obviously, and wait until you know.
• 7:02
Speaker 1: Thanksgiving rolls around, there you go, they're all set, and ready to go.
• 7:07
Speaker 1: And you can have another cruise.
• 7:08
Speaker 1: Go to see them again.
• 7:10
  Speaker 2: There you go.
• 7:12
Speaker 1: I'm sorry, my Tourette's, I guess, is acting up.
• 7:15
Speaker 1: I'm not exactly sure.
• 7:16
Speaker 1: The Hallmark's got Christmas in July on the Hallmark Channel.
• 7:19
Speaker 1: We could be part of that.
• 7:20
Speaker 1: Well, yeah, and I'm thinking we could invite the Hallmark Channel on down for the Hot Rod Tour and the Crossroads Cruisers.
• 7:29
Speaker 1: Good deal, I know.
• 7:32
Speaker 1: Look, you know, this is an entertaining car show that we do here.
• 7:37
Speaker 1: So you have to understand that we try to entertain, and not only do we try to entertain our viewers and listeners, but we also try to entertain you guys on that end too.
• 7:50
  Speaker 1: Yeah, you notice?
• 7:51
Speaker 1: I noticed that there's one person amongst you that doesn't have a cruise up this way.
• 8:10
Speaker 1: It's only an hour and a half well from victoria.
• 8:14
Speaker 2: It's only an hour and a half, for god's sakes yeah, yeah, we'll have to do that, definitely have to do that.
• 8:21
Speaker 2: Actually, I think someone's wanting to try to set something up.
• 8:24
Speaker 2: To tell you the truth, Well, you need to make a trip whenever we're going to be out at the Hemi Hideout.
• 8:32
Speaker 3: That's what we're talking about, yeah.
• 8:34
Speaker 2: We have a member that wants to work on trying to do a cruise up there.
• 8:40
Speaker 1: Well, we've got the connections, and so I'll tell you what next time I find out that they're going to have another open house they have quite frequently I mean, how much leeway, how much lead time do you need?
• 8:55
Speaker 2: As soon as we find out, we'll announce it.
• 8:56
Speaker 2: Yeah, a month is good, at least.
• 9:01
Speaker 2: Sometimes we do short notice yeah.
• 9:04
Speaker 1: What kind of cars do you guys cruise in?
• 9:10
Speaker 2: It's a pretty wide variety, Everything from.
• 9:12
Speaker 2: We have cars from the 30s, 30s, Hot Rod all the way up to brand new Super State.
• 9:19
  Speaker 2: Oh, it's C8s yeah.
• 9:22
Speaker 3: We've got pickups, you name it.
• 9:24
Speaker 3: We've got, like I think, what is it about eight members with C8s now?
• 9:29
  Speaker 3: Wow, At least.
• 9:31
Speaker 1: See, I was looking for something along the lines of like a 1970 Lincoln Continental, yeah, Something big Cougar Eliminator.
• 9:39
Speaker 2: Like an 85 Monte Carlo SS.
• 9:41
Speaker 2: Yeah, we've got a few Mustangs and let's see what else do?
• 9:48
Speaker 2: We have Several different pickups, a few Bel Airs.
• 9:54
Speaker 1: Okay, so that's going to be the style who's got the vehicle with the bomb on the back of it?
• 10:00
Speaker 2: That would be, bobby.
• 10:02
Speaker 1: Bobby's got the bomber.
• 10:02
Speaker 1: Bobby's got the bomb.
• 10:04
Speaker 2: Yeah, during the tour he drives the Edsel.
• 10:07
Speaker 1: Well, I was going to say yeah.
• 10:08
Speaker 1: Who drives the bomb car.
• 10:11
Speaker 3: That would be, bobby.
• 10:13
Speaker 1: Well, he can't drive both of them at the same time.
• 10:16
  Speaker 2: No, he can't.
• 10:16
Speaker 2: That's why you only see one at a time.
• 10:20
Speaker 1: Well, I'm thinking that you know one of us could fill in.
• 10:25
Speaker 2: Well, I'm thinking that you know one of us could fill in.
• 10:26
Speaker 2: Well, I'm sure he'll let that happen, he'll make it happen.
• 10:28
  Speaker 1: Because we've bombed a lot.
• 10:29

• 10:46
  Speaker 4: Yeah, members.
• 10:46
Speaker 5: The Toyota must be a lot bigger than what I think it is.

• 11:15
Speaker 2: But it's a fundraiser that we do.
• 11:18
Speaker 2: That's the fundraiser where we get funds to donate to local charities.
• 11:21
Speaker 1: Is it a cruise in or a cruise?

Speaker 1: They send it out on Monday and it's about the cars that they sold online the week prior.
• 17:15
Speaker 1: So we have a little fun time with that.
• 17:17
Speaker 1: I give them what car it is and they guess how much money the car actually sold for.
• 17:24
  Speaker 1: So I'm going to start with a 2001 Toyota 4Runner.
• 17:29
Speaker 1: Now, understand that I don't know what the condition of the car is underneath.
• 17:33
Speaker 1: I don't get into all of the details of it, whether it's a rust bucket or not.
• 17:38
Speaker 1: We're just going to go kind of across the board here.
• 17:41
Speaker 1: Okay, Not a big deal, Don't think too much of it, but it gives you an idea of what you can buy these cars for, and I thought that this one is an interesting one.
• 17:50
  Speaker 1: A 2001 Toyota 4Runner.
• 17:53
Speaker 1: 2001 Toyota 4Runner, Silver in color, stock wheels.
• 18:01
Speaker 1: It looks stock, it looks clean, Looks like it hasn't been wrecked or anything like that.
• 18:04
Speaker 1: I don't know what the miles are on it, but it looks clean.
• 18:07
Speaker 1: What would you think of a 2001 Toyota 400?
• 18:11
  Speaker 1: $8,000.
• 18:12
  Speaker 1: $8,000?
• 18:13
  Speaker 1: .
• 18:13
  Speaker 2: I'm going to go $8,000.
• 18:15
Speaker 5: Mars, no, I'm going to say $12,500.
• 18:18
  Speaker 1: $12,500.
• 18:20
Speaker 1: Well, mr Mars would win that one, because the sold price is $11,445.
• 18:28
Speaker 1: How about a Smokey and the Bandit car?
• 18:31
Speaker 1: A 78 Pontiac Trans Am with the big black, with the gold bird on the hood, the screaming chicken, yeah, the screaming chicken, gold wheels.
• 18:42
Speaker 1: You know know the typical look 78, 78 pontiac trans am now I don't know whether it's an original.
• 18:49
Speaker 1: I don't know any of the details.
• 18:50
Speaker 1: This is just straight off the 14 000 14, really, yeah, oh, no, go ahead.
• 18:57
Speaker 1: Mr mars, your guess I'd have to step up to about $18,000.
• 19:02
  Speaker 1: $18,000?
• 19:03
  Speaker 1: How about $37,800?
• 19:05
Speaker 5: Oh, that's why I picked the car we're going to be able to own it or something, signed it or something.
• 19:12
Speaker 1: Okay, here's one 1965 Ford Mustang Coupe, black, with a red interior.
• 19:20
Speaker 1: It's got aftermarket wheels on it, but they fit the look of it.
• 19:25
Speaker 1: There's the car right there.
• 19:28
Speaker 1: You can take a look at it yourself.
• 19:29
  Speaker 1: It looks clean.
• 19:30
Speaker 1: It may be a rust bucket, I don't know.
• 19:32
Speaker 1: But what do you think a 65 Ford Mustang would go for?
• 19:35
Speaker 1: It looks like it's got the V8 logo on it.
• 19:40
Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm going to say 25.
• 19:40
  Speaker 5: 25.
• 19:41
Speaker 5: Jeff, it's got the V8 logo on it.
• 19:42
Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm going to say $25,000.
• 19:44
  Speaker 1: $25,000.
• 19:45
  Speaker 1: Jeff, I'll go $19,000.
• 19:47
  Speaker 1: $23,100.
• 19:50
Speaker 1: Very good, mars, you're getting pretty good at this.
• 19:52
Speaker 5: Well, some of them, I mean yeah, all right, here's one.
• 19:56
Speaker 1: Jeff, you should get this.
• 19:57
Speaker 1: This is for you.
• 19:58
  Speaker 1: It's a 1978 Chevrolet K5 Blazer.
• 20:02
Speaker 1: I don't think they called it a Blazer then.
• 20:04
Speaker 1: I think they just called it a K5.
• 20:06
Speaker 1: But it's the two-door what ultimately would become the Tahoe.
• 20:11
Speaker 1: But this is the two-door old school, you know.
• 20:14
Speaker 1: Remove the back end of it, the cap on the back, and it's old school 78 K5 Blazer.
• 20:20
Speaker 1: It's got the cheap grille in it.
• 20:22
  Speaker 1: It looks clean.
• 20:22
  Speaker 1: It's old school 78 K5 Blazer.
• 20:23
Speaker 1: It's got the cheap grill in it.
• 20:23
  Speaker 1: It looks clean.
• 20:24
  Speaker 1: It's maroon.
• 20:26
Speaker 1: I don't know what the color of the interior is.
• 20:28
Speaker 1: It's got those great big, humongous camper side view mirrors on it, those big silver things that had the pedestal that hung out off the side.
• 20:39
Speaker 1: I'm going to go 12 grand, 12 grand Mars.
• 20:41
Speaker 1: No, I'm going to bump 21.
• 20:43
  Speaker 1: 21.
• 20:44
Speaker 1: Bars wins again at 19,425.
• 20:48
Speaker 5: Did you look at this before?
• 20:49
Speaker 5: No, no, he's on the site right now.
• 20:52
Speaker 5: I looked at some of the vehicles I used to own.
• 20:54
Speaker 5: I used to have one of those the Mustang, the 65 Mustang.
• 20:57
Speaker 1: Don't you wish you had those back.
• 20:58
Speaker 5: Exactly that you had those back.
• 21:05
  Speaker 1: Exactly.
• 21:06
Speaker 1: That's the reason I kind of look at it and go dang gum, I should have kept that car.
• 21:08
  Speaker 1: Here's an oddball.
• 21:08
Speaker 1: I had to do this.
• 21:09
Speaker 1: Picture this in your mind A 1997 Ford Thunderbird.
• 21:12
Speaker 1: But what they've done is they converted it into what looks like a Ford Ranchero wagon.
• 21:19
Speaker 1: There are companies that do that.
• 21:22
Speaker 1: See it right there.
• 21:23
Speaker 1: Yeah, look at that thing.
• 21:23
Speaker 1: There are companies that do that.
• 21:24
Speaker 1: See it right there.
• 21:25
Speaker 1: Yeah, look at that thing.
• 21:26
Speaker 1: There are companies that do that.
• 21:27
Speaker 1: So this is kind of a semi-custom because they never made such a thing.
• 21:31
Speaker 1: A 97 Ford Thunderbird, but it's kind of like an El Camino.
• 21:35
Speaker 1: What do you think?
• 21:36
  Speaker 1: Something?
• 21:36
Speaker 5: like that would sell, I'm going to say $7,000.
• 21:38
  Speaker 1: $7,000.
• 21:39
  Speaker 1: Mr Mars.
• 21:49
Speaker 5: Did you see the picture?
• 21:49
  Speaker 5: Seven grand?
• 21:39
Speaker 1: Mr Mars, did you see the picture?
• 21:39
  Speaker 1: That's pretty popular.
• 21:40
Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm thinking the Eldorado conversions were more popular.
• 21:40
  Speaker 5: I'm going to say $12,000.
• 21:41
  Speaker 5: $12,000.
• 21:41
  Speaker 1: $5,500.
• 21:41
  Speaker 1: Jeff, that's yours.
• 21:42
Speaker 1: Buddy, I got one.
• 21:42
Speaker 1: Yay, Yay me A 1956 Chevy Cameo.
• 21:57
Speaker 1: I love those Cameos.
• 22:01
Speaker 5: Is it dual headlight?
• 22:02
  Speaker 1: single headlight 58,.
• 22:03
Speaker 1: Yes, no, this is a single headlight, single headlight 56.
• 22:07
  Speaker 5: This is a 56.
• 22:08
  Speaker 5: Okay 56.

• 22:11
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, clean looking Wide whites.
• 22:15
Speaker 1: It's white in color red accents and I'm sure it's got a red interior.
• 22:19
Speaker 1: I think we've done this one before.
• 22:20
Speaker 1: Well, maybe so maybe the guy turned it.
• 22:23
  Speaker 1: I didn't even know.
• 22:24
Speaker 1: They made one the 56 chevy cameo.
• 22:26
Speaker 1: Remember back in the day, this would be the fleet side.
• 22:31
Speaker 1: Uh, what would become?
• 22:32
Speaker 1: The fleet side bed I don't know about that I think the 58 maybe did, but at any rate it in back in the day.
• 22:39
Speaker 1: Those days it had the step-side beds.
