- 2:31Speaker 1: I'm a boomer. Gotta go up on your phone or whatever.
- 2:34Speaker 1: You gotta activate your mind, priss record, pressure record, and
- 2:38Speaker 1: then you leave a message and we get it and
- 2:40Speaker 1: then we play it. Now, we can't play all the
- 2:42Speaker 1: messages because we do get a lot, but a lot
- 2:44Speaker 1: of them we do play and we love to hear
- 2:46Speaker 1: from you for sure.
- 2:48Speaker 2: My god.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Okay, so who is her first caller?
- 2:51Speaker 2: First caller as Tony Tony.
- 2:53Speaker 3: Hey, girls, this is Tanya calling from a really cold
- 2:58Speaker 3: dumpster here in Houston, Texas.
- 3:03Speaker 4: Thought.
- 3:04Speaker 3: I recently started watching Big Love. I watched it in
- 3:08Speaker 3: college and which was years ago because I'm old, and
- 3:12Speaker 3: I rewatched the whole thing and totally was like, oh
- 3:16Speaker 3: my god, Robin completely stole nicolete Grant's story. Like everything
- 3:24Speaker 3: Nicolette did to become the legal wife, the way she
- 3:29Speaker 3: manipulated everything, it was Robin. So I'm like, you cannot
- 3:33Speaker 3: convince me that Robin did not watch that TV show
- 3:37Speaker 3: and said to herself, I'm just I'm going to follow
- 3:40Speaker 3: this script and get what I want. You can't.
- 3:43Speaker 1: What do you think, Well, I have never seen Big Love?
- 3:48Speaker 1: Is that what it's called. Yeah, I've heard about it.
- 3:51Speaker 2: I've never seen it.
- 3:52Speaker 1: It's an old show. Is it from the odds or
- 3:54Speaker 1: the early ten.
- 3:55Speaker 2: I think it's the early tens. And we actually got
- 3:57Speaker 2: a DM about this from somebody else about Big Love,
- 4:01Speaker 2: which I think is kind of serendipitous. But we got
- 4:04Speaker 2: a DM from Ash who said, Hagarl because it's me.
- 4:07Speaker 2: She ain't an answer, she says, So I'm nursing my
- 4:11Speaker 2: newborn and I'm binge watching old shows on Max, which
- 4:14Speaker 2: includes Big Love. Highly recommend. Wouldn't you know it that
- 4:18Speaker 2: back in twenty eleven, one of the storylines is the
- 4:22Speaker 2: husband divorcing the legal wife to marry the second wife
- 4:26Speaker 2: to adopt her daughter. Cody and Robin were spiritually married
- 4:30Speaker 2: the year before and legally married in twenty fourteen. Seems
- 4:34Speaker 2: to me that there was plenty of opportunities for Robin
- 4:37Speaker 2: to have quote heard this unlike she says me and
- 4:42Speaker 2: my baby love y'all or whatever. So thank you Ash
- 4:44Speaker 2: for that, DM for the context, because that makes sense.
- 4:46Speaker 2: So maybe that's what Tanya is talking about with Nicolette M.
- 4:50Speaker 2: I don't know if that's the same story.
- 4:52Speaker 1: I'm not sure, and so we really can't comment intelligently
- 4:55Speaker 1: on that. But it feels like Big Love was being
- 4:59Speaker 1: broadcast at around the same time as Sister Wives, kind
- 5:03Speaker 1: of like they both started around the same time.
- 5:05Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Yeah, so it's kind of interesting to imagine a world
- 5:09Speaker 1: where Robin is actually taking her legitimate cues on how
- 5:12Speaker 1: to be a polygamous wife from a show on HBO Max.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Wouldn't that be crazy?
- 5:16Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 5:17Speaker 2: She watched this episode and she was like, you know what,
- 5:19Speaker 2: that's a great idea. Maybe that's what Robin means when
- 5:21Speaker 2: she says I've heard lots of other polygamus families that
- 5:24Speaker 2: divorced the first wife and marry the second to adopt
- 5:27Speaker 2: the kids.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Maybe she's referencing that television show that'd be crazy. Maybe
- 5:32Speaker 1: we need to watch.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Maybe should you have Max? Yeah?
- 5:35Speaker 1: I don't have Max. I have Discovery Plus to watch
- 5:37Speaker 1: Sister Wives. Yeah, I should get rid of Discovery Plus. Anyway,
- 5:41Speaker 1: it's a horrible app and I should get Max. Yeah,
- 5:43Speaker 1: and maybe we should watch it.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Maybe we could do.
- 5:45Speaker 1: It on Patreon. Maybe shu bitch awesome?
- 5:48Speaker 2: Well, good to know. Yeah, thank y'all for the info
- 5:51Speaker 2: on Big Love. Next one we have is from Jade
- 5:54Speaker 2: Hi Jade.
- 5:55Speaker 5: Hello from Melbourne, Australia. I'm sitting in my garden with
- 6:00Speaker 5: the birdiebirds doing birdie things and it's really hot. The
- 6:04Speaker 5: other thing that gets me hot is Cody, but not
- 6:08Speaker 5: in that way. I am so tired of him talking
- 6:12Speaker 5: about the Big House and about how his family destroyed
- 6:16Speaker 5: his dreams, about not wanting to join him when building
- 6:22Speaker 5: that thing was impossible. It was never going to happen.
- 6:24Speaker 6: They were never going to get a construction warne for that,
- 6:27Speaker 6: they were never going to get a planning.
- 6:31Speaker 5: Approval for that.
- 6:33Speaker 6: They were never going to be able to probably even
- 6:35Speaker 6: ensure that or get any kind of an occupancy certificate
- 6:39Speaker 6: like talking Australian talk.
- 6:42Speaker 5: For that.
- 6:43Speaker 6: It is just a gigantic, narcissistic manipulation tactic so that
- 6:49Speaker 6: he can walk away and it's not his fault.
- 6:52Speaker 5: What a jerk.
- 6:54Speaker 1: I I love hearing the birdies. I know, so sweet,
- 6:59Speaker 1: so nice. I completely agree. Yeah, the one house was
- 7:04Speaker 1: never going to be a thing that could happen. I think, like,
- 7:08Speaker 1: I don't know about zoning. I don't even know if
- 7:10Speaker 1: it was possible that they could use the land in
- 7:12Speaker 1: that way. I don't know how it was subdivided. I'm
- 7:15Speaker 1: not intelligent enough to really even opine on that, but
- 7:18Speaker 1: it did feel like this was just symbolic of a dream.
- 7:22Speaker 1: He was trying to sell to the other wives so
- 7:25Speaker 1: he could get Robin to Flagstaff. And I believe Robin
- 7:28Speaker 1: wanted to get to Flagstaff because Dan was going to
- 7:32Speaker 1: be going to school in Northern Arizona. And she wanted
- 7:34Speaker 1: to be close to her son, and so this was
- 7:36Speaker 1: all a grand machination. Is it machination or machination girl,
- 7:40Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm gonna say machines. It was like
- 7:42Speaker 1: a grand orchestration and this was just what he used
- 7:46Speaker 1: in order to sell it. Honestly, they're just fucking creating content,
- 7:49Speaker 1: Oh for sure, all alive.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Yeah, it's always been a lie. And I feel like
- 7:53Speaker 2: it was totally just a ruse, especially for Christine to
- 7:56Speaker 2: be like, yeah, I know, like we'll all be one big,
- 7:58Speaker 2: happy family, we'll do all this stuff. It'll be great.
- 8:00Speaker 2: But then Christine was like, you know what, I fucking
- 8:02Speaker 2: hate y'all and I don't even want to be in
- 8:04Speaker 2: one house anymore. Can we go back to Utah and
- 8:06Speaker 2: have the polygamy to criminalize? And that's when Cody's like, no,
- 8:09Speaker 2: We're never gonna go back. And then Christine realized that
- 8:12Speaker 2: this was all just a sham. Like Cody talks about
- 8:15Speaker 2: this whole big house thing. I'm like, you never wanted
- 8:17Speaker 2: to go back into that. You probably hated Lei after
- 8:20Speaker 2: all the shit that you talked about, how you had
- 8:22Speaker 2: all this magic and everything in this house. It was
- 8:25Speaker 2: so amazing, all one big house. It was so easy
- 8:27Speaker 2: for you, you still abandon that to go spend weekends
- 8:30Speaker 2: down in Saint George, blinking diesel jeans, breakdance and pussy
- 8:35Speaker 2: over there, Like it wasn't that magical for you to
- 8:37Speaker 2: actually stay or keep it all together.
- 8:39Speaker 1: That was at the very tail end of Lehigh, though.
- 8:42Speaker 1: I think when Robin wasn't in the picture and when
- 8:44Speaker 1: they finally got their rhythm in Lehigh, I think that
- 8:47Speaker 1: it was for Cody like a really beautiful time in
- 8:50Speaker 1: his life with all of his babies, all of his kids,
- 8:52Speaker 1: all of his wives are right there under one roof.
- 8:54Speaker 1: I do think he thought that that was fantastic. But
- 8:56Speaker 1: was Robin came into the picture, he didn't care anymore.
- 9:01Speaker 1: He did not care anymore. He was struck by lightning
- 9:04Speaker 1: and it was divine love, which is different from I
- 9:07Speaker 1: guess the regular shregular Mormon love or whatever, and he
- 9:10Speaker 1: wanted something different. So but I do think that he
- 9:13Speaker 1: looks back at Lehigh and thinks, Wow, what happened.
- 9:16Speaker 7: To all of that?
- 9:17Speaker 2: I don't know. I mean, if you were so quick
- 9:18Speaker 2: to like abandon all that, I don't know if you
- 9:20Speaker 2: really cared about it, and if we're to believe Cody
- 9:23Speaker 2: when he says, I was never in love with all
- 9:25Speaker 2: the og Webb I hated them good. I was never
- 9:28Speaker 2: attracted to any of them. Like, was he really happy?
- 9:31Speaker 1: He can't believe that though he's recounting already, he's always
- 9:33Speaker 1: changing his story, like he said last week, he's flip
- 9:35Speaker 1: flopping all the time. True dad, yep.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Well, thanks Jade for your voice message. And it's so
- 9:42Speaker 2: cool that we have fans in Australia, New Zealand.
- 9:45Speaker 1: No, Australia, I thought it was New Zealand, she said, Australia.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Next one we have is from Mary.
- 9:49Speaker 7: Mary.
- 9:50Speaker 8: Hi, this is Mary from Michigan, and I just want
- 9:54Speaker 8: to say that there's no way Cody could get his
- 9:56Speaker 8: hands on any money that was Garrison left through his
- 9:59Speaker 8: and into the National Guard. He would have been updating
- 10:02Speaker 8: that yearly because that is kind of a mandatory thing
- 10:06Speaker 8: that you have to do when you're in the National Guard.
- 10:09Speaker 8: And hopefully he also took advantage of having the Judge
- 10:14Speaker 8: Advocate Generals available to make a will while he was serving.
- 10:21Speaker 8: As far as the lady from Oklahoma was saying of
- 10:23Speaker 8: the family annihilator situation, I could totally see that, unfortunately,
- 10:28Speaker 8: but I could also see Robin taking Cody out and
- 10:31Speaker 8: then setting up a family annihilator situation like, oh, I
- 10:35Speaker 8: had to protect myself and my kids. And then, as
- 10:39Speaker 8: far as I think, a really great thing that they
- 10:41Speaker 8: could do for Christine, you know, to keep her going
- 10:44Speaker 8: without the whole David situation is have her reunite with
- 10:48Speaker 8: her aunt to be like, oh my god, I am
- 10:51Speaker 8: so sorry I didn't listen to you. You were so right.
- 10:54Speaker 8: This polygamy business is not great, and just you know,
- 10:59Speaker 8: go to town like reconnecting. That would actually be lovely
- 11:03Speaker 8: if she could reconnect on monogamy is great. Who you know,
- 11:07Speaker 8: polygamy sucks?
- 11:08Speaker 1: Wow, Mary, those are very actually, really good points I
- 11:12Speaker 1: think with regard to Christine, not even just her aunt,
- 11:15Speaker 1: although that would be wonderful to have a sit down
- 11:18Speaker 1: and articulate how Christine's perceptions of polygamy have shifted to
- 11:23Speaker 1: be more in alignment now with her aunt, but also
- 11:27Speaker 1: her mom. Like I would like to hear more from
- 11:30Speaker 1: is her name Annie. I think it's Annie like about
- 11:32Speaker 1: her experience and what she thinks. We really got like
- 11:36Speaker 1: a little bit of a snippet from her during the
- 11:38Speaker 1: wedding stuff, and she's just you know, really happy for Christine.
- 11:42Speaker 1: But like, I would love to dive deeper into some
- 11:45Speaker 1: of these peripheral people in Christine's family because if she
- 11:49Speaker 1: really does come from Polygamist royalty or whatever, and we
- 11:52Speaker 1: have some defectors or dissenters, like, those are conversations that
- 11:56Speaker 1: a geek like me who's into religion and alt religion,
- 12:00Speaker 1: I would love, oh me too to dive deeper into that.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree on And as for the Garrison stuff,
- 12:07Speaker 2: I really hope that Cody and Robin don't get a fucking.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Cent, oh my god, please please.
- 12:12Speaker 2: And hopefully he was able to make a will before
- 12:14Speaker 2: he passed and to be like everything goes to my mama,
- 12:18Speaker 2: nothing goes to my dad and his bitch ass wife.
- 12:20Speaker 2: That would be so great, Yes, that would have been
- 12:22Speaker 2: so awesome, But I don't know if we're ever going
- 12:24Speaker 2: to know like the full extent of it. But I mean,
- 12:27Speaker 2: Robin was very curious apparently with mckelte about what was
- 12:30Speaker 2: in his will.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Why would she be curious about his will? But why
- 12:35Speaker 1: they already have so much money, they already have so
- 12:38Speaker 1: many things. Why would they be interested in like the
- 12:42Speaker 1: equity from his town home and or his life insurance policy.
- 12:46Speaker 1: That is just so hard for me to believe. But
- 12:49Speaker 1: I mean, this is Robin we're talking about. So hopefully
- 12:53Speaker 1: if he had to review his life insurance yearly, hopefully
- 12:57Speaker 1: he was definitely adjusting that according to the relationship that
- 13:00Speaker 1: he had with his dad.
- 13:01Speaker 2: I would hope so. But I think Robin only cares
- 13:04Speaker 2: about money. Actually, I saw something on Reddit just resurface
- 13:07Speaker 2: about like I think it was like an article of
- 13:10Speaker 2: David Jessup or her he's husband, alleging that Robin left
- 13:14Speaker 2: and stole from him and financially abused him and all
- 13:19Speaker 2: of this shit. So I mean, if we're to believe
- 13:21Speaker 2: all that, I feel like Robin only gives a shit
- 13:22Speaker 2: about the money. I don't think they have a lot
- 13:24Speaker 2: of money. I think they have a lot of things
- 13:26Speaker 2: that they got to pay off, but I don't think
- 13:28Speaker 2: they got a lot of money.
- 13:29Speaker 1: Well, they had four hundred thousand some odd dollars in
- 13:32Speaker 1: their trust with which they used in order to purchase
- 13:35Speaker 1: the two point one million dollar home. I'm not sure
- 13:38Speaker 1: how much liquidity they have after the sale of their
- 13:42Speaker 1: home because they sold it for one point six or
- 13:44Speaker 1: actually they sold it for more because they sold some
- 13:46Speaker 1: adjoining property. I don't even know, but like, I don't
- 13:49Speaker 1: know how much of that is liquid for them, But
- 13:51Speaker 1: I mean they they're probably doing great, and it probably
- 13:54Speaker 1: wouldn't take too much to become liquid with some of
- 13:57Speaker 1: the assets that they have, not to mention Coyote Pas,
- 14:00Speaker 1: so they're sitting fucking pretty. They shouldn't be concerned with
- 14:03Speaker 1: I don't know one hundred thousand dollars of equity that
- 14:05Speaker 1: they would have to split with Janelle for the town home.
- 14:08Speaker 1: But I don't know about that life insurance policy. I'm
- 14:10Speaker 1: not sure how big that was. But I do feel
- 14:13Speaker 1: strongly that if Garrison is building a garden for his
- 14:17Speaker 1: mother at his town home because he cares about her
- 14:20Speaker 1: that much and wants her to have even a little
- 14:22Speaker 1: plot of land so she can do her little gardening,
- 14:25Speaker 1: He's going to want to take care of his mama
- 14:27Speaker 1: and his life insurance.
- 14:28Speaker 2: That's what I'm hoping and praying for, honestly. And I
- 14:30Speaker 2: hope Cody and Robin don't get shit.
- 14:32Speaker 1: No, got me too, don't get you.
- 14:33Speaker 2: Please, Please thank you Mary for your question. And the
- 14:37Speaker 2: next one we have is Rachel.
- 14:39Speaker 9: Rachel Hi raccoons. This is Rachel from a dumpster in Montana.
- 14:45Speaker 9: I really enjoy your YouTube channel, watch it all the
- 14:48Speaker 9: time and actually generally watch most episodes more than once.
- 14:53Speaker 9: So the last episode of Sister Wives, there was so
- 14:57Speaker 9: much hypocrisy, not just Cody having been sexually active before marriage,
- 15:03Speaker 9: which according to the religion he was in at the time,
- 15:06Speaker 9: was a big no now, but then him also talking
- 15:10Speaker 9: about how he wants to run away. Isn't that part
- 15:13Speaker 9: of wasn't that part of the whole knife and the
- 15:17Speaker 9: kidney speech that he gave to Christine about how instead
- 15:20Speaker 9: of working on it, she just wanted to run away.
- 15:23Speaker 9: So all these things are perfectly okay for Cody to do,
- 15:25Speaker 9: but not the women okay bullshit. Secondly, talking about Robin
- 15:33Speaker 9: when she was talking about how everybody changed but her.
- 15:36Speaker 9: Thank you, please, we all know what you've done, and
- 15:40Speaker 9: so do you, so stop pretending nobody believes you anyway.
- 15:45Speaker 9: Happy New Year, ladies, enjoy your cast.
- 15:48Speaker 4: Talk to you soon.
- 15:49Speaker 3: Bye bye.
- 15:50Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, yes, thank you for watching on YouTube
- 15:53Speaker 1: and watching multiple times.
- 15:55Speaker 3: We really appreciate ye.
- 15:56Speaker 4: It's awesome.
- 15:58Speaker 1: I one hundred percent agree. I mean, Cody is nothing
- 16:00Speaker 1: but a walking contradiction. I don't think he thinks about
- 16:03Speaker 1: what he's going to say from one second to the next.
- 16:06Speaker 1: I don't think he cares that he's a flip flopper.
- 16:08Speaker 1: I just think that he cares that he's off gassing
- 16:11Speaker 1: whatever he's feeling in the moment, and none of it
- 16:13Speaker 1: can be trusted. He's an absolute idiot.
- 16:17Speaker 2: One hundred percent. He's like, never learned the lesson that
- 16:20Speaker 2: you learn as an adult where you're like, I shouldn't
- 16:22Speaker 2: express that negative feeling that I'm feeling because that's really terrible,
- 16:26Speaker 2: any irrational. He just spews it out and doesn't care
- 16:29Speaker 2: about the repercussions of anything. And then when he destroys
- 16:32Speaker 2: his relationships and burns every bridge that he can, he's like,
- 16:35Speaker 2: I'm gonna got a Europe. Yeah, I don't want to
- 16:37Speaker 2: deal with that. I'm going to go to Europe as
- 16:39Speaker 2: if you're going to be accepted there.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:41Speaker 2: I hate him. I hate them all. They're all hypocrites, honestly.
- 16:43Speaker 5: Yes.
- 16:44Speaker 1: And with regard to Robin Oh.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Yeah, being a bitch, trying to make us feel sympathy
- 16:50Speaker 2: for her and say that she hasn't changed. It's been
- 16:52Speaker 2: everybody else that's changed because she's been perfect.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Yeah, I honestly think this is like a hallmark of
- 16:58Speaker 1: her dumbness. She thinks what she's doing is going to
- 17:03Speaker 1: convince us that we don't see things with our own
- 17:06Speaker 1: eyes and hear things with our own ears. And like,
- 17:09Speaker 1: we haven't been watching in a forensic way, in a
- 17:11Speaker 1: forensic way in a dumpster with nothing else to do.
- 17:15Speaker 1: We have been watching rabidly and fatly this entire time.
- 17:19Speaker 1: So we've seen you. And so now just because you're
- 17:22Speaker 1: changing the story and trying to reframe your identity doesn't
- 17:26Speaker 1: mean we're going to buy it. It just means you're stupid.
- 17:28Speaker 1: So if you think you're so much smarter than you
- 17:31Speaker 1: actually are, it's embarrassing. It's cringe.
- 17:35Speaker 2: It's so crad literally grand cringe. Yep. And she's just
- 17:40Speaker 2: like a toddler that keeps lying. And it's like, I know,
- 17:42Speaker 2: I see the cookie cribs on your.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Fucking face, the cookies dumping.
- 17:48Speaker 2: I did need to cooking. It's literally, Robin Brown, I
- 17:51Speaker 2: didn't change. I love everybody we've been talking about.
- 17:55Speaker 1: It's wild, it is.
- 17:57Speaker 2: But anyway, thank you for your message.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Yes, thank you so very much. Montana. Yeah, I want
- 18:03Speaker 1: to visit Montana.
- 18:04Speaker 2: I would love to eat.
- 18:05Speaker 1: I would love to live in Moana. Oh my god, cowboys. Yeah,
- 18:10Speaker 1: books and stuff.
- 18:12Speaker 2: That's what Janelle needs. I know you have that on
- 18:15Speaker 2: the vision board.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Amen.
- 18:17Speaker 2: Yeah, all right. Next one we have is from Amy Amy.
- 18:21Speaker 10: Hey, ladies, this is fellow raccoon Amy Colin from eastern
- 18:25Speaker 10: North Carolina, not too far from where Janelle and.
- 18:27Speaker 5: Her crew are.
- 18:29Speaker 10: And hopefully I'll be able to visit the farm. Hopefully
- 18:31Speaker 10: they'll have it open the summer. I do have a question.
- 18:35Speaker 10: My question is do you think that the only relationship
- 18:40Speaker 10: that was intact when this whole show started was between
- 18:43Speaker 10: Robin and Cody. I suspect that may have been the case.
- 18:48Speaker 10: I'm curious if the other three ladies stayed around because
- 18:52Speaker 10: the show and the contract and they just couldn't take
- 18:56Speaker 10: it anymore. And here we are. I can't wait to
- 18:58Speaker 10: hear what you think.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Well, I don't think so. I think that when the
- 19:05Speaker 1: show started. I think Christine was a believer. I think
- 19:09Speaker 1: Janelle was a believer. If anybody was wobbling about the
- 19:14Speaker 1: validity of these relationships, it might have been Mary, because again,
- 19:18Speaker 1: she had her ring melted down season one or before that.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Like when he first met Robin, And now we know
- 19:25Speaker 1: that Cody also told her after twenty years of marriage
- 19:27Speaker 1: that he's going to make the next twenty years a
- 19:29Speaker 1: living hell for her because she put him through so much.
- 19:31Speaker 1: So she knew that things were not happy and not
- 19:35Speaker 1: as she was trying to present them to be. But
- 19:37Speaker 1: like somebody like Janelle, I just don't see her faking
- 19:40Speaker 1: it or want to be in a relationship where she's
- 19:42Speaker 1: faking it. Now maybe due to finances, she may have
- 19:46Speaker 1: found herself in a certain way in the beginning, like
- 19:48Speaker 1: I gotta do this because we ain't working, We're not
- 19:51Speaker 1: bringing in money. We have to support the family, and
- 19:54Speaker 1: I've got all these little kids, So maybe I need
- 19:56Speaker 1: to shuck and jive and do what I have to
- 19:58Speaker 1: do to dance for my dinner. But I I honestly
- 20:00Speaker 1: think the way she used to look at Cody, I
- 20:04Speaker 1: thought she was into him.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Janelle.
- 20:06Speaker 1: Yeah, And I think remember when Cody and Robin got married,
- 20:11Speaker 1: the way he looked at Mary that day and Mary
- 20:13Speaker 1: looked at him, and then dancing with Christine in the kitchen.
- 20:17Speaker 1: I just feel like they were trying. I think they
- 20:22Speaker 1: knew that it wasn't working. And it just got worse
- 20:24Speaker 1: and worse and worse over time. But I do think
- 20:26Speaker 1: that they were trying.
- 20:27Speaker 2: All three of them, or just Mary and Janelle and
- 20:30Speaker 2: Christine and Christine, so all three of them, yeah, yeah,
- 20:32Speaker 2: I mean, I think all three of them were definitely
- 20:34Speaker 2: all on the rocks, and so that's why he went
- 20:37Speaker 2: and got a new wife, because he needed to fucking
- 20:39Speaker 2: have something else to fuck really, I mean, honestly, like,
- 20:43Speaker 2: I think they were all on the rocks for their
- 20:45Speaker 2: own different reasons. Like obviously Mary with her melted ring
- 20:49Speaker 2: and him punishing her for the next twenty years, like
- 20:51Speaker 2: her marriage was gone at that point. Janelle's probably was
- 20:56Speaker 2: rocky because of finances, Like they probably argued a lot
- 20:58Speaker 2: about money, but Janelle just had to give up because
- 21:00Speaker 2: she's got these kids to feed and this family to support,
- 21:03Speaker 2: so she's like, Okay, I guess we'll just deal with it.
- 21:06Speaker 2: At least we have this polygamist family, so we can
- 21:08Speaker 2: have all these other incomes come in and maybe it'll
- 21:10Speaker 2: be better. And then Christine's was on the rocks from
- 21:13Speaker 2: intimacy and just Cody just generally being disgusted with her
- 21:17Speaker 2: and how she looked. So I think all of that
- 21:19Speaker 2: was there, and I think he tried a little bit,
- 21:22Speaker 2: but then once Robin came in with her spell, I
- 21:24Speaker 2: mean he.
- 21:25Speaker 1: Was just hooked. Yeah, I think things were super shaky.
- 21:29Speaker 1: I think they wanted to keep it together. I think
- 21:32Speaker 1: they were doing some performing for sure, pretending that they
- 21:35Speaker 1: were all getting along and that the families were blended
- 21:37Speaker 1: and everything was working great when it was not. And
- 21:40Speaker 1: it would have been much more compelling in terms of
- 21:42Speaker 1: television to show the cracks a bit more and to
- 21:45Speaker 1: talk about what was actually happening. They did not do
- 21:47Speaker 1: that as a protective stance. But then shit just started
- 21:52Speaker 1: to get super shitty and they couldn't hide it anymore.
- 21:56Speaker 1: Although they tried. They tried to the very end until
- 21:58Speaker 1: Christine said I gotta go.
- 21:59Speaker 2: Yeah, they tried, they tried. Have you ever heard the
- 22:02Speaker 2: song slow Dancing in a Burning Room by John Mayer. No,
- 22:05Speaker 2: it's a really sad fucking song, but the whole song
- 22:07Speaker 2: is literally about a couple breaking up and you're just
- 22:10Speaker 2: slow dancing in a burning room while it burns down
- 22:13Speaker 2: behind you, and you, guys are trying to accept the
- 22:16Speaker 2: fact that your relationship is dying, but you're still kind
- 22:19Speaker 2: of holding on to something and you're fighting a lot,
- 22:23Speaker 2: and like it just it's like that, it's just the
- 22:25Speaker 2: end of a relationship where it's just a slow burn,
- 22:28Speaker 2: because not everybody just leaves right away, obviously, Like we've
- 22:31Speaker 2: been screaming for these wives to leave for a long time,
- 22:34Speaker 2: but it took them a long time to do that,
- 22:36Speaker 2: and so they were just all slow dancing in a
- 22:37Speaker 2: burning room while they're just waiting to finally end it,
- 22:41Speaker 2: and they end it.
- 22:43Speaker 1: That is poignant and sad.
- 22:44Speaker 2: I know, very sad. Yeah, all right, next one, we
- 22:46Speaker 2: have us from Lenae Linee.
- 22:49Speaker 4: Hi there reality TV cringe. I get so much joy
- 22:54Speaker 4: out of your podcast. To thank you, My question is
- 22:58Speaker 4: as a raccoon call from Portland, Oregon? Why why why
- 23:07Speaker 4: do I keep my ass up past my bedtime on
- 23:11Speaker 4: a Sunday night to watch this trash? It is the
- 23:16Speaker 4: worst show on television. Literally, they are replaying a show
- 23:23Speaker 4: we saw a year and a half ago? Was that
- 23:25Speaker 4: the Wedding Special? And I keep my ass? Why why
- 23:29Speaker 4: do I do this? Do you know I could just
- 23:32Speaker 4: watch it the next day, I could just listen to
- 23:35Speaker 4: your podcast. Why do I want to watch it? It's
- 23:38Speaker 4: so bad?
- 23:40Speaker 10: So bad?
- 23:42Speaker 5: Thank you?
- 23:45Speaker 1: Well, like a lot of us, Lenney, you're addicted. Yep,
- 23:49Speaker 1: You're addicted to the Browns. You're addicted to the drama.
- 23:53Speaker 1: You're also addicted to the unraveling and the unveiling of
- 23:58Speaker 1: things that existed in the shadow that you will and
- 24:01Speaker 1: they you intuited them, You saw through that shit, and
- 24:03Speaker 1: so you are watching to see the light, the light
- 24:06Speaker 1: come into the room that's on firehood, Yeah, to bear
- 24:10Speaker 1: it all. I don't know why you're staying up on
- 24:13Speaker 1: a Sunday night, because God knows, I'm not. I watch
- 24:16Speaker 1: that shit. I watch it on Tuesday, right before we
- 24:19Speaker 1: film because I don't want to forget it because I'm
- 24:20Speaker 1: getting older. I forget things, I know. But I certainly
- 24:23Speaker 1: do not stay up to watch these people.
- 24:25Speaker 2: No way. But I mean we watch it because we
- 24:28Speaker 2: are like hanging on to maybe something good is going
- 24:30Speaker 2: to happen this week, because none of us want to
- 24:32Speaker 2: miss that. Like, of course, we want to watch it
- 24:34Speaker 2: just to see what's gonna happen. But then they serve
- 24:36Speaker 2: us this bullshit. We talked about it on a recap
- 24:38Speaker 2: this week. You can go hear me yell about it.
- 24:41Speaker 2: There's going to the void. Yeah, I don't know why
- 24:43Speaker 2: we watch it.
- 24:44Speaker 1: We are addicted, well we are addicted, but also this
- 24:47Speaker 1: is our job. Well yeah, we're we're our professional dumpster divers.
- 24:52Speaker 1: This is the reality television show that launched the podcast.
- 24:57Speaker 1: We literally started this podcast just to dream about these people.
- 25:01Speaker 1: We never anticipated anybody would listen your podcast.
- 25:05Speaker 5: I remember that.
- 25:06Speaker 1: First week that we released it and I was looking
- 25:08Speaker 1: at the numbers and it was like three hundred listeners.
- 25:10Speaker 2: Five crazy.
- 25:12Speaker 1: I'm like, what in the what This whole fandom is
- 25:16Speaker 1: so mobilized, and we're all watching. We all have monocles
- 25:20Speaker 1: because we want to see how it ends. And I
- 25:23Speaker 1: would really love to see kind of a happy ever
- 25:26Speaker 1: after for all of the kids, to the degree that
- 25:28Speaker 1: we can, because you know, we can't because one of
- 25:30Speaker 1: them's not here with us anymore. Like I would like
- 25:33Speaker 1: just to see a good end for some of these people.
- 25:36Speaker 1: Not Cody, yeah, and not Robin though, not at all.
- 25:40Speaker 10: No, not at all.
- 25:41Speaker 2: I'd love to see you in.
- 25:41Speaker 1: Jail, yes, but all the vision board yeah, all right.
- 25:46Speaker 2: The last one we have is from Andy.
- 25:48Speaker 1: Andy, is this a man?
- 25:50Speaker 2: No?
- 25:50Speaker 1: Oh, any man out there listening to us?
- 25:53Speaker 2: Your husband?
- 25:54Speaker 1: I guess my husband's listening to us.
- 25:57Speaker 7: Hi, y'all, this is Andy Collin from a dumpster in Oklahoma.
- 26:00Speaker 7: I just wanted to get your unpopular sister wife's opinion.
- 26:05Speaker 7: Mine is, I actually do think that Christine was mean
- 26:09Speaker 7: to Robin when Robin first entered the family. Kind of
- 26:12Speaker 7: seen this season how her sense of humor is a
- 26:16Speaker 7: little abrasive and could certainly be misconstrued as me and
- 26:21Speaker 7: if you're entering into a new relationship with her. I
- 26:24Speaker 7: also think Christine is the original cry with no tears.
- 26:27Speaker 7: I said what I said, girls, look it up. She
- 26:30Speaker 7: never cries tears. Another unpopular opinion I have is that
- 26:35Speaker 7: Janelle is not the queen bitch we all want her
- 26:39Speaker 7: to be, or we hope maybe that she's trying to
- 26:41Speaker 7: be now. She stayed with Cody for way too long,
- 26:45Speaker 7: and she's so apathetic and lazy it's annoying and that
- 26:49Speaker 7: is not queen bitch behavior to me. Let me know
- 26:52Speaker 7: what you guys think, Love you.
- 26:54Speaker 2: I love an unpopular opinion too. We should do that
- 26:57Speaker 2: more often, like just shout up your unpopular stuff because
- 27:00Speaker 2: I agree with all of her.
- 27:01Speaker 1: In fact, if you're watching on YouTube, let us hear
- 27:03Speaker 1: your unpopular opinion about Sister Wives and if you're on Instagram,
- 27:06Speaker 1: dm that to be interriest and maybe we will feature
- 27:09Speaker 1: it on an upcoming good My unpopular opinion is that
- 27:14Speaker 1: I'm just gonna take it one step further with Janelle,
- 27:17Speaker 1: Like she's not just apathetic and lazy, and as it
- 27:19Speaker 1: concerns the finances, as it concerns like her own relationship,
- 27:22Speaker 1: I think she's not a great mom. That's my unpopular opinion,
- 27:26Speaker 1: So don't come for me. Like, I think she should
- 27:27Speaker 1: have done things so much differently to protect her kids
- 27:32Speaker 1: from Cody and what was happening, and also just in
- 27:34Speaker 1: terms of like financial protection so that she could have
- 27:37Speaker 1: something to leave in terms of a legacy for her kids.
- 27:39Speaker 1: She didn't do it. She allowed so much to happen,
- 27:43Speaker 1: And I think that's in terms of motherhood parenting. I
- 27:46Speaker 1: don't think that's good.
- 27:48Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's fair. I mean she was not really
- 27:49Speaker 2: present with a lot of her kids. I mean Logan
- 27:51Speaker 2: parented all of them.
- 27:52Speaker 1: Yes, and she let Logan parent them, she parentified. That's
- 27:57Speaker 1: a form of abuse totally.
- 27:59Speaker 2: So yeah, my unpopular opinion is that I don't think
- 28:02Speaker 2: Cody was ever attracted to Janelle or Christine sexually attracted.
- 28:08Speaker 4: It doesn't matter.
- 28:10Speaker 2: Men will fuck anything. He moved it around. I think
- 28:13Speaker 2: man would suck anything. I think Robin's whole comment back
- 28:16Speaker 2: in season.
- 28:17Speaker 1: Three or four or whatever not get over the stretch mark, because.
- 28:20Speaker 2: I think Cody told her that in confidence. I think
- 28:23Speaker 2: he looked at Robin's naked body and was like, damn,
- 28:26Speaker 2: you ain't got no stretch.
- 28:27Speaker 1: You're talking about. I'm telling you she was pregnant with Saul.
- 28:32Speaker 1: She had so many stretch marks when we saw her belly.
- 28:35Speaker 1: So she's not walking around here with like an unmarked belly, honey,
- 28:39Speaker 1: She's got all kinds of stretch marks. What is she
- 28:41Speaker 1: talking about?
- 28:41Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 28:42Speaker 2: I think it's I think it's the fat and stretch
- 28:44Speaker 2: marks comment that she made. I think Cody told her, yeah,
- 28:48Speaker 2: you're so.
- 28:48Speaker 10: Skinny and hot.
- 28:49Speaker 2: I love you when you break dancing pussy like. That's
- 28:51Speaker 2: what I think. My unpopular opinion has always been that
- 28:54Speaker 2: I've always thought that you know and Christine were just
- 28:57Speaker 2: there to procreate babies and stuff for him, and that
- 29:00Speaker 2: was it. Once he did six kids, he's like, fuck,
- 29:02Speaker 2: I can't do this anymore. I can't do it anymore.
- 29:04Speaker 2: He did it for Janelle because she was the financer.
- 29:07Speaker 2: You know, she was the one kid.
- 29:10Speaker 1: She was very savvy. She all she did was five
- 29:13Speaker 1: at taxes. She worked with somebody five attackses.
- 29:15Speaker 2: Before Robin came around. Though she was the only one
- 29:18Speaker 2: working full time with him. So he's like, yeah, I
- 29:20Speaker 2: got it worked.
- 29:21Speaker 1: I don't know that it was full time. I think
- 29:22Speaker 1: it was maybe part time, but Mary did work barely.
- 29:25Speaker 2: But that's my unpopular opinion. I don't think he was
- 29:26Speaker 2: ever really attracted to those.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Hard disagree, hard disagree as it concerns Janelle. I think
- 29:31Speaker 1: that Cody was legitimately repulsed by Christine. I think I
- 29:37Speaker 1: think that that happened. I think the notes were real.
- 29:38Speaker 1: I think, yeah, when we see his wedding picture with Christine,
- 29:42Speaker 1: you can see how uncomfortable he looks. But I think
- 29:44Speaker 1: he had a sexual connection with Janelle. There was some
- 29:48Speaker 1: sexual subduction. I think that they're renaissance in Las Vegas
- 29:53Speaker 1: when they were having sex all the time, and like
- 29:55Speaker 1: when he had his Viking hair or up back in
- 29:57Speaker 1: a ponytail. I think they had some chemistry. I think
- 30:01Speaker 1: I would dare say I think he was most attracted
- 30:03Speaker 1: to Janelle.
- 30:04Speaker 2: Really, Yes, that's crazy. I don't think so at all.
- 30:07Speaker 5: I do.
- 30:08Speaker 2: I think he faked it the most for her because
- 30:10Speaker 2: of the money. Oh gosh.
- 30:11Speaker 1: I think she's so beautiful and I think she's voluptuous,
- 30:15Speaker 1: and I think he will into all of that.
- 30:17Speaker 9: Now.
- 30:18Speaker 2: I think the og three are all beautiful. I think
- 30:21Speaker 2: that's great. I just don't think Cody was into them.
- 30:23Speaker 2: I think once he got Robin, he was just like,
- 30:25Speaker 2: oh my god, I'm so sick of these women. That's
- 30:27Speaker 2: why intimacy stopped with all of them. That's what I'm saying,
- 30:30Speaker 2: you know, just for the money.
- 30:32Speaker 1: Exception, who does for the money.
- 30:35Speaker 5: Well.
- 30:35Speaker 1: I also wanted to say that I agree with her
- 30:38Speaker 1: first unpopular opinion that Christine was not very nice to Robin.
- 30:42Speaker 1: I think so. I think we saw that. I think
- 30:45Speaker 1: it gob smacked Christine to have a fourth wife. I
- 30:49Speaker 1: think she loved the position of being the third wife
- 30:52Speaker 1: and the other wives would be jealous of her, but
- 30:54Speaker 1: she would never have to feel that herself. And then
- 30:56Speaker 1: here comes Robin. She, I guess, apparently has no stretch
- 30:59Speaker 1: marks or something. She's thinner, she's breakdance in, she's beautiful,
- 31:03Speaker 1: and she just could not handle it. And I think
- 31:06Speaker 1: she was unkind at times, and I think from the
- 31:09Speaker 1: very beginning she was like this, and she just set
- 31:11Speaker 1: that relationship up to fail. I don't think Robin ever
- 31:14Speaker 1: forgot it. I don't think Robin ever forgave her. And
- 31:16Speaker 1: I think Robin went out of her way to sabotage her.
- 31:20Speaker 2: And I also agree with Andy's point that Christine was
- 31:23Speaker 2: the original cry with no tears because I think Christine's
- 31:25Speaker 2: a bit of a drama queen. I think she was
- 31:29Speaker 2: totally being dramatic to Cody all the time, and that's
- 31:31Speaker 2: why he was partially why he was not attracted to her.
- 31:34Speaker 2: It's like, oh my god, you're so annoying, Like every
- 31:36Speaker 2: time I come over here, you cry and bitch at
- 31:37Speaker 2: me about something.
- 31:38Speaker 1: Well, you can see it in the early seasons when
- 31:40Speaker 1: you're on the couch and she's just screaming as she
- 31:42Speaker 1: does and gesticulating and doing all the things. I mean,
- 31:44Speaker 1: he's so over it. He's fried from her energy. Yep.
- 31:47Speaker 2: And like, look, Christine had valid points. I mean everything
- 31:50Speaker 2: she was feeling, I totally get it. I'm not like
- 31:52Speaker 2: shitting on her for emotions. But she's also annoying.
- 31:54Speaker 1: She's very much annoying. Yeah, and I can see her
- 31:57Speaker 1: being antagonistic to Robin.
- 31:58Speaker 2: Oh for sure, I would have been. I would have
- 32:00Speaker 2: been calling Robin's bitch as out. But that's me, that's
- 32:02Speaker 2: the Leo energy.
- 32:03Speaker 1: I think she probably was to Cody behind closed doors,
- 32:06Speaker 1: which is another thing that quickened their demise. One hundred
- 32:09Speaker 1: person good points, Andy.
- 32:12Speaker 2: Yeah, let us know your unpopular opinions below.
- 32:14Speaker 1: We would love to read it and or hear from you.
- 32:18Speaker 1: So that was the last caller. Again, Thank you guys
- 32:21Speaker 1: so much. We love hearing from you. We love especially
- 32:23Speaker 1: when you guys have different ideas. Different takes cause us
- 32:26Speaker 1: to think in our little raccoon minds. Yeah, it's painful,
- 32:29Speaker 1: but we love to do it. If you guys want
- 32:32Speaker 1: to call in and sound off again, all you have
- 32:34Speaker 1: to do is go to speak Pipe dot Com slash
