Transcript
- 0:10Speaker 1: Let's get to know Brett Callahan of the Tigers.
- 0:12Speaker 2: He's a rookie.
- 0:13Speaker 1: About a week into the show, Brett, thanks for joining us, man.
- 0:16Speaker 2: How's the first week going for you?
- 0:18Speaker 3: Having fun?
- 0:20Speaker 4: Oh yeah, it's been a crazy week, a long week.
- 0:22Speaker 4: Thank you so much for inviting me on. I've been
- 0:25Speaker 4: looking part of this.
- 0:26Speaker 5: Yeah, here, man, would it be more comfortable if I
- 0:29Speaker 5: just went like this the whole time?
- 0:31Speaker 3: Like the Hawk at Saint Joe's like a hole for people.
- 0:34Speaker 5: W don't know you went to Saint Joe's and the
- 0:36Speaker 5: hawk at the basketball game flaps his wings or her wings.
- 0:42Speaker 5: I'm not sure who's in the hawk uniform for the
- 0:44Speaker 5: entire game.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Correct, Yes they do.
- 0:47Speaker 4: And when I tell people I'm from Saint Jose, they
- 0:49Speaker 4: kind of look at me questioningly, and then I say, oh,
- 0:52Speaker 4: the hawk with the wings, and then that's when it
- 0:55Speaker 4: clicks for people.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:57Speaker 5: And so you invited your your head coach, your your
- 1:01Speaker 5: history teacher. What if the hawk had showed up in
- 1:04Speaker 5: a game and spent the entire game because we play
- 1:07Speaker 5: a little long baseball games are a little bit longer,
- 1:09Speaker 5: and the Hawk just showed up and just I don't
- 1:12Speaker 5: think you guys played the Phillies anymore, but just stayed
- 1:14Speaker 5: out there and left field the whole time.
- 1:17Speaker 4: That'll be a'll be a tough workout for the Hawk.
- 1:20Speaker 4: I wouldn't envy him.
- 1:22Speaker 3: That'd be legendary. That'd be legendary.
- 1:24Speaker 5: Tell us about tell us about your debut, not not
- 1:26Speaker 5: just like playing or the feelings, yes, we want to
- 1:28Speaker 5: hit on that, but also the you know, the support
- 1:32Speaker 5: that you got in that game from different people along
- 1:35Speaker 5: your your way, your journey through baseball.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:39Speaker 4: So, I mean it was it was amazing. It was
- 1:42Speaker 4: like an unexpected call up, and you know, I was
- 1:45Speaker 4: kind of rushing to get people like there that could
- 1:51Speaker 4: see me, and the Tigers did a great job of
- 1:53Speaker 4: handling that, like getting my family out to see me.
- 1:57Speaker 4: My dad and ended up missing his flight, so there
- 2:00Speaker 4: was a little bit.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Of some uh, some.
- 2:02Speaker 4: Problems for everyone getting in, but you know, they got
- 2:06Speaker 4: my family here and and then like it just it
- 2:16Speaker 4: just turned out to be and not to be a
- 2:18Speaker 4: really great day, just being able to like be in
- 2:24Speaker 4: that be in that locker room with all the players
- 2:27Speaker 4: and meeting a lot of the new guys, or not
- 2:30Speaker 4: new guys, but new guys. For me, I was the
- 2:33Speaker 4: new guy, and uh yeah, I just think I think
- 2:40Speaker 4: one of the one of the coolest moments was like
- 2:42Speaker 4: after I hit the triple, like justin Verlander like came
- 2:46Speaker 4: up to me and and just like high fired me
- 2:48Speaker 4: and the dougout and he was like, man, that was huge,
- 2:51Speaker 4: like congrats, and obviously he was talking about it being
- 2:54Speaker 4: my first hit.
- 2:55Speaker 2: But I also think like scoring those first two runs
- 2:59Speaker 2: in that.
- 2:59Speaker 4: Game in a big like divisional game, like coming down
- 3:02Speaker 4: the season, meant a lot to him and it meant
- 3:06Speaker 4: a lot to the team and I and I thought
- 3:08Speaker 4: that that was really cool, like actually like really playing
- 3:11Speaker 4: for something meaningful at this point in the season.
- 3:19Speaker 3: For sure.
- 3:20Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, I do want to ask you something. I
- 3:23Speaker 6: do want to ask you something about I know how
- 3:26Speaker 6: emotional it can be getting called up. You're you're obviously
- 3:29Speaker 6: living your dream. You want to go out there and
- 3:31Speaker 6: perform show that you're worthy of being out there. But
- 3:34Speaker 6: you find it a little bit easier where the Detroit
- 3:36Speaker 6: Tigers are at in their season, where you are going
- 3:39Speaker 6: out there trying to get wins and maybe you can
- 3:41Speaker 6: deflect the focus off of yourself a little bit and
- 3:44Speaker 6: just go help this team win some games.
- 3:47Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, absolutely, like that's that's the main goal and
- 3:52Speaker 4: and it's and it's really cool to be able to
- 3:55Speaker 4: do that, and like, like I said, like playing these
- 3:58Speaker 4: meaningful games and and you know, the fans really want
- 4:02Speaker 4: to win, Like obviously they care about my debut and stuff,
- 4:06Speaker 4: but the main focus is the game and getting things done.
- 4:10Speaker 4: And I think when I get out on the field,
- 4:13Speaker 4: like I can kind of forget about everything that's going
- 4:17Speaker 4: on and just be locked in on on performing and
- 4:22Speaker 4: doing doing what I need to do is to help
- 4:25Speaker 4: the team win.
- 4:27Speaker 5: What's the hardest part since you've gotten called up? Is
- 4:29Speaker 5: it the fact that you got to try to find
- 4:31Speaker 5: tickets for everybody, and you got to stop answering all
- 4:35Speaker 5: the text messages of everybody that's texting you.
- 4:38Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, seriously, Like going out there and playing on
- 4:42Speaker 4: the field, like that's all like muscle memory. Like it's
- 4:46Speaker 4: a little bit overwhelming and getting out there and seeing
- 4:48Speaker 4: all the fans, but once you step in the box,
- 4:50Speaker 4: it's just a reaction. But definitely answering all the text messages,
- 4:54Speaker 4: Like my phone's just been blowing up, and I mean
- 4:58Speaker 4: it's like everyone that I've ever known, everyone that I've
- 5:00Speaker 4: played baseball with, went to school with like my parents' friends.
- 5:06Speaker 4: I don't even know how all these people have my number,
- 5:08Speaker 4: and it's just hard to go through that.
- 5:11Speaker 2: It's hard to go through that.
- 5:12Speaker 4: And and there's a lot of people there that like
- 5:17Speaker 4: are really deserving of like some kind of a response,
- 5:21Speaker 4: who played a role in like getting me here that
- 5:23Speaker 4: Like I hope that And now I'm hoping that I
- 5:26Speaker 4: haven't missed anyone responding to them, like just because of
- 5:31Speaker 4: the overwhelming amount of texts and messages. But I definitely
- 5:36Speaker 4: appreciate all the support. It's just crazy how things have
- 5:39Speaker 4: changed from just a few days ago.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Hey, for those of you that are on your phone,
- 5:45Speaker 1: it's very often, or even if you don't use it much,
- 5:48Speaker 1: you should check out your wireless bill and make sure
- 5:50Speaker 1: that it is treating you well. In summertime, you're feeling good, right, aj,
- 5:54Speaker 1: But are you spending too much on your wireless bill?
- 5:57Speaker 1: And should Mobile get involved?
- 5:59Speaker 7: Some of them to college aged kid Scott, they're always
- 6:02Speaker 7: on their phone, whether it's they're checking their snap, they're
- 6:04Speaker 7: checking their DMS, they're checking their Twitter. I need fifteen
- 6:08Speaker 7: dollars a month because I need unlimited quality coverage that
- 6:11Speaker 7: Mintmobile provides.
- 6:12Speaker 1: They get that new wireless plan for just fifteen bucks
- 6:14Speaker 1: a month. Go to mintmobile dot com slash territory. That's
- 6:17Speaker 1: mintmobile dot com slash territory. Cut your wireless built to
- 6:20Speaker 1: fifteen dollars a month at mintmobile dot com slash territory.
- 6:23Speaker 2: That's it.
- 6:24Speaker 1: No catch up front payment of forty five dollars for
- 6:26Speaker 1: three months, ninety dollars for six months, or one hundred
- 6:28Speaker 1: and eighty dollars for twelve month. Plan required fifteen dollars
- 6:31Speaker 1: per month equivalent taxes and fees extra initial plan term
- 6:33Speaker 1: only greater than fifty gigabytes, may slow when network is busy.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Includes up to twenty gigabyte hotspot capable device required, availability,
- 6:40Speaker 1: speed and coverage varries CEE mintmobile dot com.
- 6:43Speaker 6: That's That's an incredible man, you know. And when I'm
- 6:45Speaker 6: not doing the show, I spend a lot of time
- 6:47Speaker 6: kind of sharing players journeys about maybe not going to
- 6:50Speaker 6: the biggest schools or not being first round draft picks.
- 6:53Speaker 6: So tell me a little bit about your your journey
- 6:55Speaker 6: to how you got the Saint Joe's And do you
- 6:57Speaker 6: know that you were the first Saint Joe's product to
- 7:00Speaker 6: hit a home run in the major leagues.
- 7:03Speaker 4: Yeah, that was that was mentioned in an interview but
- 7:08Speaker 4: uh after right after that game, which I thought was
- 7:11Speaker 4: really cool.
- 7:12Speaker 2: But my response to that was, there's there's a.
- 7:14Speaker 4: Lot of actually a lot of really good players from
- 7:17Speaker 4: Saint Jose that are coming up in the minor leagues,
- 7:20Speaker 4: and so it's cool that I could be the first,
- 7:23Speaker 4: but I think that I think that there will be
- 7:25Speaker 4: some more soon.
- 7:29Speaker 2: But going back to like I came up, like I'm from.
- 7:33Speaker 4: Delaware, and there's not many major leaguers from Delaware at
- 7:38Speaker 4: all all time, and like I I mean, I probably
- 7:44Speaker 4: know most of most of them and have met most
- 7:47Speaker 4: of them, which is pretty cool, like like it's a
- 7:51Speaker 4: small communities. But I also think, like the fact that
- 7:55Speaker 4: I am from Delaware, like it means a lot to
- 7:57Speaker 4: like the state and like the baseball community in that state,
- 8:02Speaker 4: because there's a lot of really good players who who
- 8:06Speaker 4: maybe just because.
- 8:06Speaker 2: We're from Delaware, we're a little bit like under.
- 8:09Speaker 4: Recruited and didn't have like like the best opportunities and
- 8:14Speaker 4: and never never were able to get as far as.
- 8:18Speaker 2: You know, maybe they could have elsewhere. And then.
- 8:24Speaker 4: Yeah, and then I ended up going to San chose
- 8:28Speaker 4: obviously and not there's not a whole lot of players
- 8:31Speaker 4: in the major leagues from Saint Chose. But Jamie Moyer,
- 8:34Speaker 4: uh went to Saint Jose and obviously he was in
- 8:39Speaker 4: the big leagues for a long time.
- 8:42Speaker 2: And so.
- 8:45Speaker 4: I mean it's not maybe like a pipeline, but there
- 8:50Speaker 4: is some some history there.
- 8:53Speaker 3: Do you think.
- 8:55Speaker 5: Do you do you think that do you think the
- 8:58Speaker 5: the renovations that they've after you left from the baseball department,
- 9:02Speaker 5: my son was getting recruited by Saint Joe's. He went,
- 9:06Speaker 5: he went there, saw all the renovations and stuff. Do
- 9:08Speaker 5: you feel like that will help Saint Joe's be more
- 9:11Speaker 5: of a pipeline? And Jamie Moyer, like, I get it,
- 9:15Speaker 5: like people aren't gonna be like, oh man, I want
- 9:17Speaker 5: to throw eighty four like Jamie Moyer. But Jamie Morier
- 9:19Speaker 5: played in the big leagues for like one hundred years.
- 9:22Speaker 5: So I feel like that's that's a shining light for
- 9:25Speaker 5: Saint Joe's.
- 9:27Speaker 4: Yeah, So, I actually haven't seen the renovations in person yet.
- 9:33Speaker 4: I mean, I've been back to the campus, but I
- 9:35Speaker 4: haven't had like I haven't gone through and seen like
- 9:38Speaker 4: the new turf facility. But I definitely think that that's
- 9:40Speaker 4: something that we'll we'll bring in more players. Like like
- 9:44Speaker 4: when I was there, we're hitting in an indoor cage
- 9:46Speaker 4: on in the pool.
- 9:47Speaker 2: In the pool area, it.
- 9:49Speaker 4: Was like ninety degrees and humid. So now I guess
- 9:54Speaker 4: they have a nice like turf facility that's indoors with
- 9:58Speaker 4: cages and stuff.
- 9:59Speaker 2: And I definitely think that will be a draw.
- 10:03Speaker 4: I know that it's been tough like competing now with
- 10:07Speaker 4: with like the nil money and keeping players there, but
- 10:12Speaker 4: I mean, the transfer portal is a thing. When I
- 10:14Speaker 4: was there, and I always like, I guess my sophomore
- 10:18Speaker 4: year I could have transferred out, But I just never
- 10:22Speaker 4: really saw the point. Like I loved Sancho's. I thought
- 10:24Speaker 4: it was a great community, and I thought that I
- 10:27Speaker 4: had a great opportunity there to get drafted. I didn't
- 10:31Speaker 4: really see a point in going going anywhere else. Yep, yeah,
- 10:37Speaker 4: it's really cool that your son was getting recruited there though.
- 10:40Speaker 2: I guess you've met coach Hamburg.
- 10:46Speaker 3: Yep, coach nine and coach Hamburg. Yeah it was.
- 10:49Speaker 5: You know, we're just north of Philly here, so I
- 10:53Speaker 5: gotta ask who is your team? Did you go north
- 10:57Speaker 5: and you were a Phillies fan or did you go
- 10:59Speaker 5: south and you were an O because you're kind.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Of kind of in the middle, closer to closer to Philly.
- 11:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:05Speaker 4: Yeah, I was a Phillies fan growing up for sure.
- 11:08Speaker 4: So I mean I've obviously I've seen you play. I know,
- 11:14Speaker 4: like Kyle Gibson's the host of the show. Sometimes I've
- 11:18Speaker 4: seen him play. And it's cool to be here, like
- 11:21Speaker 4: talking to some some former Phillies and being in Philadelphia
- 11:26Speaker 4: for college during like that, like twenty twenty one, twenty
- 11:32Speaker 4: twenty two, twenty twenty three, like when they were good
- 11:36Speaker 4: and like in the World Series.
- 11:37Speaker 2: It was really really.
- 11:38Speaker 4: A cool time there in the city, like to be
- 11:40Speaker 4: there and see how the fans like back them up.
- 11:45Speaker 6: We glossed over this real quick. But you said your
- 11:48Speaker 6: dad missed his flight.
- 11:49Speaker 3: Did he have a.
- 11:50Speaker 6: Reason why he missed his flight? And did he end
- 11:52Speaker 6: up making it there on time? And I'm assuming you
- 11:54Speaker 6: still live in Delaware, so I imagine there's not a ton
- 11:57Speaker 6: of flights scheduled out of Delaware Airport.
- 12:02Speaker 4: So we we do live in Delaware, but we're like
- 12:06Speaker 4: probably like thirty five minutes from the Philadelphia Airport, So
- 12:10Speaker 4: that's where they flew out of like just it's just
- 12:14Speaker 4: right up ninety five.
- 12:16Speaker 2: And yeah, my dad, So it was a whole debacle,
- 12:23Speaker 2: it sounds like.
- 12:24Speaker 4: And I'm glad they kind of kept me out of
- 12:26Speaker 4: it when they didn't really text me too much. But
- 12:30Speaker 4: I guess he had the genius idea of putting his
- 12:35Speaker 4: laundry in the wash shit like six point thirty when
- 12:39Speaker 4: the flight was at it was like close to ten, And.
- 12:45Speaker 2: Like I said, it was a whole debacle.
- 12:46Speaker 4: My mom and sister actually ended up leaving without him,
- 12:51Speaker 4: and they made it to the airport, okay, But there
- 12:54Speaker 4: was an accident on ninety five, and I guess he
- 12:57Speaker 4: was delayed and ended up missing flight.
- 13:00Speaker 2: So my sister and mom got here on the.
- 13:03Speaker 4: Same flight leaving from the same place, and he he
- 13:07Speaker 4: was stranded in Philadelphia, so he had an early flight
- 13:13Speaker 4: the next day, so he did get here, but he
- 13:16Speaker 4: actually ended up just staying. He slept in the airport,
- 13:20Speaker 4: which okay, to each their own, but he slept in
- 13:24Speaker 4: the airport that night and made the flight and came
- 13:27Speaker 4: came up to Detroit the next day, made it time.
- 13:33Speaker 1: So so now there are jokes for life within the family,
- 13:35Speaker 1: like what was being thrown out there within the text,
- 13:39Speaker 1: like hey, how clean is that shirt right now? Like
- 13:41Speaker 1: what was getting thrown around?
- 13:45Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean I was just hoping like he wasn't smelling,
- 13:48Speaker 4: like I don't know, you've all seen the movie The Terminal.
- 13:52Speaker 4: Maybe I'm just thinking about like Tom Hanks, like sleeping
- 13:56Speaker 4: in the airport.
- 13:57Speaker 2: I'm like, chair, I don't know. It was pretty crazy.
- 14:03Speaker 4: Like I said, they weren't texting me too much, Like
- 14:05Speaker 4: I didn't actually know that that was all. I knew
- 14:07Speaker 4: he missed the flight, but I didn't know everything that happened.
- 14:11Speaker 4: I think that they're just wanting me to focus on
- 14:14Speaker 4: the game in my first day, So I'm appreciative of that.
- 14:18Speaker 4: But now like talking to my sister and my mom
- 14:22Speaker 4: my girlfriend who are on like a text chain together,
- 14:26Speaker 4: like I just can't believe it.
- 14:27Speaker 2: It sounds sounds it sounds crazier than my day. Really.
- 14:35Speaker 1: For the families out there looking for a new path

- 15:15Speaker 1: is very much on the move during his playing career.
- 15:18Speaker 1: So you can see how K twelve powered schools can

- 15:31Speaker 1: com slash foul. Well, that's what I want to finish with.
- 15:34Speaker 1: So I know we got into it a little bit,
- 15:36Speaker 1: but can you take me through behind the scenes when
- 15:40Speaker 1: it's a pretty quick call up right, and all of
- 15:43Speaker 1: a sudden, you eventually get yourself into somewhat of an
- 15:46Speaker 1: historic situation. Definitely for Tiger's player, and I think even
- 15:50Speaker 1: historically there haven't been many that do a little first
- 15:53Speaker 1: pitch triple action, right, So nobody in one hundred and
- 15:56Speaker 1: fourteen years in Detroit history and that franchise, and then
- 16:01Speaker 1: let's see in all of Major League Baseball, it's since
- 16:06Speaker 1: pitch track and began in nineteen eighty eight to record
- 16:08Speaker 1: an RBI triple on the first pitch of first MLB
- 16:11Speaker 1: played appearance. Third player to do that. Ever, So backtracking
- 16:15Speaker 1: for a moment, did you even get like the really
- 16:18Speaker 1: good scouting report on the pitcher? And like, did you
- 16:20Speaker 1: get to do everything you wanted to do? Or was it, hey,
- 16:22Speaker 1: you here to get everything you need after day one,
- 16:24Speaker 1: but you just got to get here.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, so I was.
- 16:29Speaker 4: I actually got the call like around like one o'clock
- 16:35Speaker 4: the day before, so I guess that would have been Saturday,
- 16:41Speaker 4: so I did have time to get there.
- 16:44Speaker 2: And and I did.
- 16:46Speaker 4: Have like like a good scouting report and stuff, and
- 16:51Speaker 4: I know what the pitcher had. I mean, I guess
- 16:54Speaker 4: this is obvious for everyone, but like you really want
- 16:57Speaker 4: to get that hit as soon as possible, we'll probably,
- 17:00Speaker 4: like you never.
- 17:01Speaker 2: Know when when you're not gonna have chances.
- 17:03Speaker 4: I kind of joke about this, but like I was
- 17:07Speaker 4: in the Little League World Series in twenty thirteen, and
- 17:12Speaker 4: I didn't have a hit, Like I went to zero
- 17:15Speaker 4: for four. So I tell people I was in the
- 17:16Speaker 4: Little Leagald Series and their first question is, oh, did
- 17:18Speaker 4: you hit a home run?
- 17:20Speaker 1: No?
- 17:21Speaker 2: Like, did you get any hits? No? So I did
- 17:24Speaker 2: get hit by pitch.
- 17:25Speaker 4: I'm like, hey, like, probably less players have been hit
- 17:29Speaker 4: by a pitch in the Little leag World Series. Then
- 17:31Speaker 4: got a hit, so but yeah, it's definitely. I was like,
- 17:36Speaker 4: I need to get this hit out of the way.
- 17:38Speaker 4: And I've had a pretty good track record with my
- 17:42Speaker 4: first step bats in leagues, Like in college I hit
- 17:45Speaker 4: a homer in my first step bat, my first bat
- 17:50Speaker 4: in pro ball in the Florida or in the FCL,
- 17:54Speaker 4: I had I had a double off the wall my
- 17:58Speaker 4: first step at.
- 17:58Speaker 2: This year in Double A, I hit a home run.
- 18:01Speaker 4: So so I've had a good track record with with
- 18:03Speaker 4: first of bats. And I'm not saying like obviously you
- 18:07Speaker 4: never you don't know something's gonna happen.
- 18:08Speaker 2: But I had a good feeling. I was like, I'm
- 18:10Speaker 2: I'm good.
- 18:11Speaker 4: At this, so so it was it was amazing though,
- 18:14Speaker 4: And when I stepped into the box and they made
- 18:17Speaker 4: like the announcement like and making his major league debut,
- 18:20Speaker 4: like I had no idea that was going to happen, and.
- 18:22Speaker 2: And like I had chills and stuff from.
- 18:25Speaker 4: It, and yeah, I just I got a I got
- 18:29Speaker 4: a first pitch curveball, which I kind of like the
- 18:34Speaker 4: curve curveball, Like I was able to see it pop
- 18:37Speaker 4: a little bit, and it was still still pretty early
- 18:41Speaker 4: on it.
- 18:41Speaker 2: It wasn't like a beautiful swing. I didn't really barrel it.
- 18:45Speaker 4: But right when I saw that ball going down the line,
- 18:48Speaker 4: I knew, like I was thinking three and I said this,
- 18:53Speaker 4: but yeah, it was just please don't trip, Please don't trip, like,
- 18:57Speaker 4: don't mess this up. My legs were like a little
- 19:00Speaker 4: at shaky when I when I got around second, I
- 19:04Speaker 4: was running out of steam. My helmet fell off. I
- 19:06Speaker 4: was still getting used to that that big league like
- 19:09Speaker 4: one flap helmet. But I made it there, and yeah,
- 19:14Speaker 4: I was just got to third and I was so
- 19:18Speaker 4: fired up. It was amazing. But then I had to
- 19:20Speaker 4: turn right back around. I heard, you know, Billy Boyer
- 19:25Speaker 4: or third base coachman. He says, hey, you're going on
- 19:27Speaker 4: contact here at third base, And that locked me right
- 19:31Speaker 4: back in because that's kind of a tough tough position
- 19:34Speaker 4: to be put on, put in your first time on
- 19:37Speaker 4: the basis in the big leagues, but it worked out.
- 19:40Speaker 5: So you're a You're a you're a Little League legend,
- 19:43Speaker 5: little League World Series legend clearly because you went oh
- 19:45Speaker 5: for four. Matt Wilkinson made his debut this week also
- 19:51Speaker 5: he was a little League legend. So what was more
- 19:54Speaker 5: nerve wracking being in the Little League World Series as
- 19:58Speaker 5: a twelve year old or your debut?
- 20:02Speaker 4: Man, I mean such different different points in the life. Like,
- 20:08Speaker 4: I mean, probably my debut, but when I was eleven
- 20:12Speaker 4: in the Little League World Series that was also completely
- 20:15Speaker 4: overwhelming experience.
- 20:19Speaker 2: Yeah, it was.
- 20:21Speaker 4: Amazing, It was an amazing experience, but it was also
- 20:24Speaker 4: like kind of a tough week for me, Like I
- 20:28Speaker 4: don't know, I just I had I had to deal
- 20:31Speaker 4: with all stuff that week too, so but yeah, totally
- 20:38Speaker 4: different experiences. Obviously, the big league debut is probably when
- 20:45Speaker 4: I when I rank them, like a bigger moment and
- 20:50Speaker 4: more nerve wracking, but the Little World Series had different
- 20:54Speaker 4: pressure as.
- 20:57Speaker 3: That's fair.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Well, hey, we'll leave this inner you with you knowing
- 21:01Speaker 1: that Eric Kratz played you know, in the major leagues
- 21:03Speaker 1: for quite a bit of time, and on your first
- 21:05Speaker 1: pitch you already accomplished something that he never did, which
- 21:09Speaker 1: was a triple. No triples in Kratz's career, so you've
- 21:12Speaker 1: already got a one up on one of our hosts.
- 21:15Speaker 1: This was great, though, I hope you enjoyed it, Brett,
- 21:17Speaker 1: thanks so much for joining us.
- 21:18Speaker 3: Man, appreciate it.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Thank you, Thank you so much for having me, having me.
- 21:23Speaker 1: Of course, yeah, it was great. Good luck the rest
- 21:26Speaker 1: of the way and we'll catch you soon.
- 21:27Speaker 2: Okay, thank you absolutely
