  Speaker 6: it was just a confusing night, so watching it back gave.

  Speaker 6: I didn't really Yeah, I had no idea what Brayden

  Speaker 6: had said to Rachel for the I don't think I

  Speaker 6: knew until I watched it back, truly, until I kind

  Speaker 6: of got some perspective into it. So I thought Rachel

  Speaker 6: was initially mad at me for talking to Jess that night,

  Speaker 6: but we had talked previously. I was going, I told
• 1:35
  Speaker 6: her I was going to do that. So when came

  Speaker 6: back from that conversation, and for those of you who

  Speaker 6: don't know, like you get pulled for interviews after stuff

  Speaker 6: like this happened. So I came back, did an interview.

  Speaker 6: I come back and she's upset with me, like very

  Speaker 6: upset with me. So I thought she was mad that

  Speaker 6: I talked to Jess, And I was like, wait, you

  Speaker 6: just like you said you were cool with it, now

  Speaker 6: you're not. I had no idea that Brayden was making
• 1:53
  Speaker 6: it seem like, oh my god, I'm like, I'm Rachel
• 1:55
  Speaker 6: so into me, which was never the case.

  Speaker 4: So I didn't know that's why she was mad. So

  Speaker 4: it was it was difficult watching it back.

  Speaker 3: Oh, so what did you think that Brandon did say?

  Speaker 6: I knew she Rachel had said that, like Branden told

  Speaker 6: her something, and like in the moment, I really don't

  Speaker 6: was shown that way. So it was tough watching it back.

  Speaker 7: It's it's pretty it's pretty funny to have this conversation

  Speaker 7: with you. Obviously, last time you were on this podcast,

  Speaker 7: it was kind of the lead up to Paradise, and

  Speaker 7: you weren't willing to even tell us if you're gonna

  Speaker 7: be on Paradise or not.

  Speaker 7: Your story play out this, you know, this was a big,

  Speaker 7: a big part of your storyline so far, was the

  Speaker 7: controversy in Paradise. It did, from a viewer's perspective, feel

  Speaker 7: like you had said something like you kind of and

  Speaker 7: maybe it was Braiden's kind of commentary adding on, but

  Speaker 7: that you know, Rachel was very into you, and you
• 3:02
  Speaker 7: had always kind of had your eye on Jess, and

  Speaker 7: so you had just mentioned that you and Rachel had
• 3:07
  Speaker 7: had a conversation where you said I was going to

  Speaker 7: talk to Jess.

  Speaker 5: What did that conversation look like?

  Speaker 7: And were you telling Rachel Hammer to talk to Jess

  Speaker 7: because I'm actually more into her than I am into you.

  Speaker 6: So to kind of accept the stage, like at this

  Speaker 6: point in Paradise, you're kind of figuring out like, hey,

  Speaker 6: are we gonna like figure this out together? Are we

  Speaker 6: like opened, like like to go on dates? Are we

  Speaker 6: gonna explore things? It came that was like, I guess
• 3:29
  Speaker 6: the point where you kind of have to make those decisions.

  Speaker 6: First off, Rachel's so cool. We were chilled the entire time,

  Speaker 6: and I think she was in the same boat as me,
• 3:37
  Speaker 6: like where I think we were probably meant to be
• 3:39
  Speaker 6: friends and like you don't really want to force anything.

  Speaker 6: We're hanging out the entire time, but I think we

  Speaker 6: really were just meant to be friends. The conversation was

  Speaker 6: was very chill. I was worried because like I don't

  Speaker 6: I don't really want her to be bad at me,

  Speaker 4: Was an entire time. She's like yeah, like, O, we're

  Speaker 4: in Paradise, explore Like how fun?

  Speaker 7: Okay, well, so like at this point, were you guys

  Speaker 7: like you and Rachel, You're having a good time your friendships.

  Speaker 7: You were kind of like you didn't know if there's

  Speaker 7: gonna be a feature. But were you like making out

  Speaker 7: and like one on one cudd along the couch the

  Speaker 7: whole time, or were we just seeing those very few

  Speaker 7: moments on television and most of the time you guys

  Speaker 7: were not, you know, kicking it together.

  Speaker 4: I would say we were hanging out.

  Speaker 6: Like the first week, we were definitely hanging out quite

  Speaker 6: a bit, like every night, like having long conversations on

  Speaker 6: those day beds, and you saw a bit of that,

  Speaker 6: but I think it was more like the second week

  Speaker 6: was probably when we were growing more apart, and it

  Speaker 6: was probably just me like where I was like, I

  Speaker 6: don't know where or I'm at right now. It's a

  Speaker 6: little bit difficult, and I didn't like want to like
• 4:44
  Speaker 6: lead Rachel on anyway. Like I think we were just
• 4:46
  Speaker 6: meant to be friends.

  Speaker 4: We were both.

  Speaker 6: Open, so I wasn't I would say, as affectionate that
• 4:51
  Speaker 6: second week leading up to it.

  Speaker 2: Did you feel it all possibly guilty because you thought

  Speaker 2: that Rachel's maybe into like where did Brad didn't come

  Speaker 2: up with this narrative that Rachel's more into Sean than he.

  Speaker 4: Is to her.

  Speaker 6: Yeah, it wasn't like I don't think Rachel was like,
• 5:08
  Speaker 6: oh my god, I'm so Intoshan. Like we liked each other,
• 5:10
  Speaker 6: like we're having fun. But it wasn't like she's all
• 5:12
  Speaker 6: in on me, because it definitely wasn't the case. So
• 5:14
  Speaker 6: they kind of give some context into it, and me
• 5:16
  Speaker 6: and Brad are cool now, we're friends. When you get

  Speaker 6: it when you're in Paradise, you have time at night
• 5:21
  Speaker 6: when you're really like not on camera, you really are

  Speaker 6: on camera because they have hit like cameras up in
• 5:25
  Speaker 6: the in the rooms. But I remember talking to the

  Speaker 6: boys like Aarons and Braiden and like we were friends.

  Speaker 4: We're still all very close.

  Speaker 6: I was like, man, like I'm just like a in
• 5:35
  Speaker 6: a pickle right now, Like I'm enjoying time with Rachel,

  Speaker 6: like we're having fun. It was shocked to see her
• 5:39
  Speaker 6: on the beach and like she's she's super cool, super chill,
• 5:42
  Speaker 6: but like I do like have these things about Jess
• 5:45
  Speaker 6: that I really wanted to explore, and like, no one
• 5:47
  Speaker 6: was bouncing around, no one was fl flopping, so I
• 5:51
  Speaker 6: didn't necessarily want to be like the first person to
• 5:53
  Speaker 6: do it, like, especially like Blake's a cool guy, didn't
• 5:55
  Speaker 6: want to go and try to to steal his girl
• 5:57
  Speaker 6: at all. So it's difficult to kind of make those decisions,
• 6:00
  Speaker 6: especially when no one's flopping at all. And I guess
• 6:03
  Speaker 6: I was the catalyst to what we watched on Paradise,
• 6:07
  Speaker 6: where like once I did it, kind of everything had
• 6:10
  Speaker 6: filtered out from there.

  Speaker 3: Did you and Rachel only make out once?
• 6:16
  Speaker 6: I think it was like twice three times. I don't
• 6:17
  Speaker 6: know that Paradise was a blur. It's not like we
• 6:19
  Speaker 6: were making out all over the beach. I'll tell you that.

  Speaker 5: Paradise is an interesting place. I do feel like.
• 6:37
  Speaker 7: Ashley and I talked about it last week, your timing
• 6:39
  Speaker 7: from our perspective was pretty terrible.
• 6:41
  Speaker 5: And here's why.

  Speaker 4: True.
• 6:47
  Speaker 7: Well, so here's why we thought that, And this is
• 6:50
  Speaker 7: where we wanted to get some clarity from you, because
• 6:51
  Speaker 7: strategically it's a part of Paradise. You want to at
• 6:56
  Speaker 7: some point talk to Jess. You made that clear, like, Hey,
• 6:58
  Speaker 7: I came down here excited to meet you, and like
• 7:01
  Speaker 7: we never had the opportunity and it now seems like
• 7:03
  Speaker 7: a good time. However, you chose to do it, like
• 7:06
  Speaker 7: right before roses were passed out, and you kind of
• 7:10
  Speaker 7: had at that point if none of this happened, you
• 7:12
  Speaker 7: had secured probably a rose next week from Rachel that
• 7:15
  Speaker 7: would have got you then to have a week with
• 7:18
  Speaker 7: Jess and then you obviously will have the roses next.
• 7:20
  Speaker 5: Week, and so you're there again, Why.
• 7:23
  Speaker 7: Did you choose to do it at this moment when
• 7:27
  Speaker 7: like the risk is that, like it does blow up
• 7:29
  Speaker 7: in your face and you were left alone on the
• 7:31
  Speaker 7: beach that night.

  Speaker 6: Yeah, thankfully I had my voice there, but yeah, it

  Speaker 6: was pretty a lot. Yeah, And that's the thing is
• 7:39
  Speaker 6: like watching it back, like for me, it's like not
• 7:43
  Speaker 6: a game, Like some people think this is a game,
• 7:44
  Speaker 6: and then you like have strategy and like they're definitely
• 7:47
  Speaker 6: a part of it, Like where if you want to
• 7:48
  Speaker 6: have strategy, you can go and strategize how I'm going
• 7:50
  Speaker 6: to navigate this shit.
• 7:52
  Speaker 4: It was hard, Like it.
• 7:53
  Speaker 6: Was really difficult, and I didn't want to potentially like
• 7:57
  Speaker 6: lead Rachel on, like I was there to find someone
• 7:59
  Speaker 6: and I felt that maybe there was something with Jess,
• 8:02
  Speaker 6: so like I was going to explore it. The timing
• 8:04
  Speaker 6: of it obviously was an ideal if my game plan
• 8:06
  Speaker 6: was to like try to secure Rose and go on,
• 8:08
  Speaker 6: but that really is never the thing for me. So
• 8:09
  Speaker 6: that's why you saw me do it right before Rose ceremony.
• 8:12
  Speaker 6: And I wasn't going to try and get Jess as
• 8:15
  Speaker 6: Rose at all, Like that was like a big misconception.
• 8:17
  Speaker 4: I just wanted to see like where she was at.
• 8:19
  Speaker 5: It was.
• 8:20
  Speaker 6: It was not like out here, give me your Rose
• 8:22
  Speaker 6: and like we'll figure out together. It was really just
• 8:23
  Speaker 6: wanted to see where she was at with everything. And
• 8:26
  Speaker 6: because I hadn't got a chance to talk to her
• 8:27
  Speaker 6: too much throughout.

  Speaker 2: Paradise, where are Jess and Blake at because we we're
• 8:33
  Speaker 2: a suspect?
• 8:35
  Speaker 6: Okay, Yeah, at this point, I think they were in
• 8:38
  Speaker 6: the same boat as like a lot of the relationships
• 8:41
  Speaker 6: in Paradise right now, where I think it's still early.

  Speaker 6: They're having fun, they're vibing, but I think they're probably
• 8:46
  Speaker 6: both still open to you know, other people coming down
• 8:50
  Speaker 6: or exploring and see where things go. I don't think
• 8:51
  Speaker 6: it's like they're locked in completely. I think they're just
• 8:54
  Speaker 6: pretty open. It was still somewhat early in Paradise.
• 8:58
  Speaker 7: Well and this you know, yes, you've got you've explained it,
• 9:02
  Speaker 7: like you were trying to follow what you were most
• 9:05
  Speaker 7: interested in. Paradise is a good good spot for you
• 9:09
  Speaker 7: to potentially, you know, meet Jess, who you are obviously
• 9:12
  Speaker 7: interested in going into it. The side part of this
• 9:16
  Speaker 7: was one of the cool storylines from the Steves, and
• 9:18
  Speaker 7: it happens a lot in Paradise is the Braiden kind
• 9:21
  Speaker 7: of redemption, and not only the Braiden redemption, but also
• 9:24
  Speaker 7: you guys as friends and kind of the supporters around
• 9:27
  Speaker 7: him saying, hey, you know, we're all friends in this beach.
• 9:30
  Speaker 7: Let's do this well. And it was going really well,
• 9:33
  Speaker 7: and so you know on the show we kind of
• 9:36
  Speaker 7: see this blow up and that's kind of where maybe
• 9:39
  Speaker 7: you know, we have left it at this point in
• 9:42
  Speaker 7: the storyline. But you said said, hey, you're friends now.

  Speaker 7: I mean, when when you hear that he was saying
• 9:49
  Speaker 7: these things about you on the beach, was your first
• 9:52
  Speaker 7: reaction was like, hey, this guy is who I've always
• 9:54
  Speaker 7: thought he was, like even back on the Bachelorette. Or
• 9:58
  Speaker 7: was it confusion because he does seems so great on
• 10:00
  Speaker 7: the beach, kind of where was your mind at.

  Speaker 6: Yeah, that was a tough tough night because, like one,
• 10:07
  Speaker 6: I never wanted to make it seem like Rachel was
• 10:09
  Speaker 6: more into me than I was to her, Like that

  Speaker 6: was never the case, and I don't think I did.

  Speaker 6: Like you guys didn't see it. I didn't say that

  Speaker 6: on Bachelor in Paradise. We have cameras, ever, we have

  Speaker 6: a metal wait, and.

  Speaker 3: So you're right, we don't see it now.

  Speaker 6: So I was a little shocked that like you would

  Speaker 6: go because truthfully, like looking back.

  Speaker 4: Like you probably didn't even need to bring me up

  Speaker 6: If you just wanted to pursue Rachel, she'd probably been like, yeah, okay,

  Speaker 6: like I'll go have fun with you. So it was

  Speaker 6: almost like he was trying to like cut me down

  Speaker 6: in a way and then like get the rose from Rachel.

  Speaker 6: That's how I felt in the moment, like when you're

  Speaker 6: on the beach, because everything's a little bit more heightened.

  Speaker 6: So I was like felt really betrayed. I was pissed,
• 10:44
  Speaker 6: like really frustrated with him because like a day or
• 10:48
  Speaker 6: two prior, like I was just on the bed like
• 10:49
  Speaker 6: rubbing his back you wanted to leave. His cat had
• 10:51
  Speaker 6: broken his heart, so, like you know, from that, like
• 10:53
  Speaker 6: I was there for him. And then to like come
• 10:55
  Speaker 6: out that I'm getting yelled at from Rachel because of
• 10:58
  Speaker 6: something Breaton said. I was like, dude, what the what
• 11:00
  Speaker 6: the hell was going on? And he and the thing
• 11:02
  Speaker 6: is too is like you guys didn't see it.

  Speaker 1: He was.
• 11:03
  Speaker 6: He felt really bad about it afterwards, and there's nothing
• 11:06
  Speaker 6: I could do at that point, like it already happened.

  Speaker 4: Mine and Rachel had already had the argument.

  Speaker 6: Like I can't harp on Brandon for you know, kind
• 11:13
  Speaker 6: of misspeaking or miss misinterpreting. I guess the situation in
• 11:17
  Speaker 6: a way, and he came obviously to you, I'm so sorry,
• 11:19
  Speaker 6: like I do, like gave me a hug, and I
• 11:21
  Speaker 6: was like, yeah, man's it's all good. So like we
• 11:23
  Speaker 6: smooth things over the next day. But like that sucked
• 11:25
  Speaker 6: because like I thought he was and we are boys.

  Speaker 6: But in the moment, I was like, I just I
• 11:29
  Speaker 6: don't know why you put me in a situation like that.

  Speaker 3: Oh, your forgiveness is really sweet.

  Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm a good guy, I think, maybe like contrary
• 11:39
  Speaker 6: to popular belief at some points, but Yeah, I'm a
• 11:41
  Speaker 6: pretty good guy, pretty reasonable.

  Speaker 2: Okay, So give us the lowdown on what else is

  Speaker 2: going on in Paradise. So Aaron B and Eliza seemed
• 11:48
  Speaker 2: to be like the couple, the ideal couple right now.
• 11:51
  Speaker 3: But we were a little.
• 11:52
  Speaker 2: Confused last week because she went on the date with
• 11:55
  Speaker 2: John B and then seemed to have a great time,
• 11:59
  Speaker 2: but then got back to the beach and was right
• 12:01
  Speaker 2: back with Aaron. So give us the insight on that relationship.

  Speaker 6: Yeah, I think Aaron B and Eliza were like there
• 12:09
  Speaker 6: are a strong cuple on the beach right now, and
• 12:11
  Speaker 6: it was almost a shock for Eliza to go on
• 12:13
  Speaker 6: that date with John Bee. Also, where the guys from
• 12:17
  Speaker 6: Charity season are incredibly close, Like we really do have
• 12:20
  Speaker 6: a tight knit group.

  Speaker 4: We're all friends.

  Speaker 6: So John Mey got putting a difficult spot there coming
• 12:24
  Speaker 6: down and like, oh, it was a lot of Charity's
• 12:26
  Speaker 6: guys on Paradise, so all of his boys are coupled
• 12:29
  Speaker 6: up with people like who is he gonna take? So
• 12:31
  Speaker 6: he said he had the best conversation with Eliza and
• 12:33
  Speaker 6: she's an absent sweetheart and she went on the date.
• 12:35
  Speaker 6: I think for her it was probably like I'm gonna
• 12:38
  Speaker 6: go on this date. If I'm thinking about Aaron B.
• 12:40
  Speaker 6: I know, like that's where I'm meant to be, and
• 12:43
  Speaker 6: I know that like last year on Paradise, I guess
• 12:45
  Speaker 6: she didn't have like the best go of it, but
• 12:47
  Speaker 6: she was a sweetheart and I think she just needed
• 12:49
  Speaker 6: that clarity.

  Speaker 4: But then came back and was with Aaron Be and
• 12:52
  Speaker 4: everything was good.

  Speaker 7: I've Ashley would know how to speak to this, but
• 12:57
  Speaker 7: I'm curious if it's changed at all. One of the

  Speaker 7: things it makes that's interesting about Paradise to me are

  Speaker 7: these situations, you know, the Brain situation with you and
• 13:06
  Speaker 7: the Aaron b.

  Speaker 5: Situation with John B.

  Speaker 7: At night, then once everybody's back, I think you're all roommates,

  Speaker 7: Like is it just super awkward? Like I mean, are

  Speaker 7: you guys like pillow talking? Are you guys just mad
• 13:21
  Speaker 7: at each other? You lay there fuming like what is
• 13:23
  Speaker 7: the dynamic light?

  Speaker 4: All right?

  Speaker 6: So I'm not the best person to speak to that

  Speaker 6: that night in particular, because like I didn't sleep that night.

  Speaker 6: I was getting pulled for interviews left and right, like

  Speaker 6: the whole Brandon and Rachel situation happened. So I literally
• 13:38
  Speaker 6: got done with interviews. Thing it was like four am.
• 13:40
  Speaker 6: I was never home in the place. So then I
• 13:42
  Speaker 6: go back. All the boys are asleep and I couldn't sleep,
• 13:46
  Speaker 6: so I just kind of wandered the beach a little bit.

  Speaker 6: I didn't know we had security at night. They almost
• 13:50
  Speaker 6: kind of came out with flashlights, like.
• 13:52
  Speaker 5: What are you doing?
• 13:52
  Speaker 6: When they're speaking Spanish, so I couldn't speak Spanish. I'm
• 13:55
  Speaker 6: like cast, Like I'm on the cast. It was like
• 13:57
  Speaker 6: five thirty in the morning, so when you sat there,
• 13:59
  Speaker 6: I could even have a conversation with the moos, just
• 14:01
  Speaker 6: hanging out. But I think within Paradise you kind of
• 14:05
  Speaker 6: realize that, you know what, at least the guys we
• 14:08
  Speaker 6: didn't take things too seriously, so like when John b
• 14:11
  Speaker 6: came down and took Eliza, like Aaron, Me and Johnny
• 14:15
  Speaker 6: were so cool. I think if it was someone from
• 14:17
  Speaker 6: another season and that we didn't have a relationship with
• 14:20
  Speaker 6: them prior to going down to Paradise, that might be
• 14:23
