Transcript
- 0:00Hi, everyone, and welcome back. And thank you for joining us again here on EyeOpener Society.
- 0:06It means a lot. It means the world for everybody that jumps on here,
- 0:10whether it be for the first time or whether you're a longtime listener.
- 0:15It's much appreciated, and I certainly do appreciate everybody that listens. It really helps us out.
- 0:21And we take the stand here at EyeOpener Society that we simply don't do any
- 0:27advertising or anything like that. We don't monetize.
- 0:30Uh, we do it just strictly for the fun of it.
- 0:33Uh, now this year episode is going to be a little bit more different than what I've been used to.
- 0:39I know I made a promise a while back that try to be more positive, which I'm going to be.
- 0:43However, this is going to be the angry episode because there's certain things
- 0:47that are really drawing energy away from good people.
- 0:53Uh, whether it be me, whether it be Jennifer Miller, or you, the listener.
- 0:58I know a lot of people are going to kind of relate to this, and it's going to
- 1:01be a little bit of a more powerful episode because, you know,
- 1:03we don't hold back on this show.
- 1:05So myself and Jennifer, we're both going to kind of get into this a little bit.
- 1:09So introducing to you again, Jennifer Miller.
- 1:12Jennifer, always great to have you on my side. Hi.
- 1:19We, yeah, we, yeah, we spoke again. Again, we always spoke, you know,
- 1:24we always speak in detail off, you know, the podcast.
- 1:28And a lot of our conversations spark a lot of interest in what I would like
- 1:34to put on eye-opener society.
- 1:36And your intuition level was up a lot. And you just out of the blue asked me if I was okay.
- 1:42And I was like cowering in a corner somewhere, you know, just trying to shut
- 1:49the world out because, and it wasn't like a cry for help, but it's just.
- 1:53I'm feeling, I think many people are feeling it doesn't matter what you do,
- 1:58no matter how much you play by the rules or, you know, there's someone out to get you.
- 2:05There's someone with their hands in your pockets. A lot of this has to do with financial stuff.
- 2:11A lot has to do with the government, you know, being the biggest mafia that there is.
- 2:16And so I think Jennifer, you picked up on
- 2:19it and you hit some points about this how you know
- 2:21spiritual people are being hit the hardest on
- 2:24this because it just doesn't seem like there's any exit to it well yeah
- 2:28because like you like i said like the negativity in the air like you
- 2:30walk somewhere it's not easy to talk to
- 2:33somebody it's not um you know like it used
- 2:36to be like i remember pre-2020 you know
- 2:39you could be in the grocery store and just bump into someone like
- 2:42oh hey giggle about it and say you know
- 2:45have a good day or you'll talk about something because you're
- 2:48like little kids running around and it was
- 2:51just easier now you bump into someone i'm about
- 2:54half scared they're gonna like freak out panic
- 2:57and start hitting me with their cart or you know
- 3:00it'd be like some type of bad sitcom that you saw in the
- 3:0390s where people were kind of acting aggressive but it wasn't the same it just
- 3:08you can feel it in the air it's like you could cut it with a knife like the
- 3:12tension the resentment anger and And it's affecting a lot of people, just everyday people.
- 3:21Yeah, it's hard. I struggled last few years to clean up all my debt and I took care of it.
- 3:29And you're sitting here saying, oh, what a good citizen I am.
- 3:31And I'm doing the right thing and I got everything cleaned up.
- 3:34And then within a month, through no fault of your own, it's not like I'm going
- 3:41out and buying fancy cars or anything.
- 3:43So much hits you so much that you find yourself automatically
- 3:46in debt by like almost thirty thousand dollars
- 3:50or within a month and thirty
- 3:53thousand dollars now right now doesn't seem like
- 3:56a whole lot of money comparatively from years
- 3:59before but that's a shitload of money
- 4:02that is coming out of my
- 4:05pocket and a lot of it isn't even so much expenditures
- 4:08it's just things i had to get necessity yeah necessities and then the rest of
- 4:14it is fucking taxes i sat down and i did my taxes and as most people know i
- 4:20work you know two jobs i have one small part-time job i barely pick up any hours
- 4:24but i just do it every now and then you know just supplement my income
- 4:27when i plug those numbers in it threw my federal taxes over and if people you
- 4:34know i yeah you talk to tax people say well if you have a second job that's
- 4:37the one you set at the highest tax rate And let that take all the taxes And
- 4:41I'm like well what fucking sense does that make If I'm working to make more money for myself,
- 4:46Why am I setting it up To give the government more money,
- 4:49i know i'm sitting here waiting for you to make it make sense right now and it doesn't it does.
- 4:56Like go and then you're telling me this and i'm like oh wait there is no there
- 5:00there isn't i don't see the benefit in it at all i mean like i would say your
- 5:06time's more precious than that second job and the money if that makes sense
- 5:10and uh yeah they shouldn't be taking all of that out.
- 5:17Yeah especially for the second job i mean well that's
- 5:20only a small part of it because then i'm doing the rest of
- 5:23the stuff that i had to you know i withdrew from
- 5:26my previous job from the 401k this way
- 5:28i could set up because i don't trust the government to set up my money
- 5:31for my future forget it i want to set it up for my future
- 5:34so once you pull it out you know they'll
- 5:37take out the federal taxes but they don't take out the local taxes or the
- 5:40state taxes so now i got to pay against that and
- 5:42that's a fuck ton of money you know yeah
- 5:46it does add up yeah a lot it
- 5:49really really ends up being a lot of
- 5:52money and it's one of those things now if
- 5:55you don't pay it hey you go to jail or we
- 5:58garnish your wages whatever the case may be this is
- 6:01exactly like the mafia you know but we
- 6:05sat and we spoke about this and this is
- 6:08something that we're basically saying fuck
- 6:12you as a human being you know yeah you're right
- 6:15in your life yeah they control
- 6:18have a right to keep your money you don't have a right to you
- 6:21know do this or that yeah i mean right so
- 6:25they're allowing us to have things not actually like us
- 6:28actually essentially owning or you know what i mean exactly
- 6:31yeah we own nothing own nothing
- 6:34you could buy a car pay taxes on it you move
- 6:37to a different state yeah with tax money you move
- 6:41to another state and usually the first thing they want to do is when.
- 6:44You go to register the car they want you to pay taxes on the car that you've.
- 6:47Already paid even if you paid it off now you got taxes on it yeah it's listen
- 6:52most people understand this and most people are angry about it but the question
- 6:55is why in the fuck do we as human beings accept this social contract.
- 7:03We live by a set of rules that just, it's kind of like ingrained into us.
- 7:09You behave, you follow the cookie cutter in life.
- 7:13And, you know, if you don't, you're seen as crazy, you know, definitely crazy.
- 7:22That's the best way I can put it. People see you that way. If you don't think
- 7:26in a certain box, it's kind of hard.
- 7:30It's kind of hard to live like that.
- 7:34Stressful it is it takes a lot out of us and again
- 7:37and i always say and i will keep saying it we are the
- 7:40dumbest species on this you know planet yeah we
- 7:43don't deserve to go on now i agree with
- 7:46that the more i sit and i look at it i say because we just
- 7:49accept all of this we accept it and then
- 7:52we'll sit and we'll talk about it oh this shouldn't be this shouldn't.
- 7:55Be this shouldn't be and then some new wave of
- 7:58government comes in and saying okay we're going to take care of
- 8:01all this we're going to stop it and then everybody's
- 8:04against that where does it end where where
- 8:07does the solution come from that's my
- 8:11problem is i i don't know
- 8:13i mean that's why i like living out in the middle of.
- 8:16Nowhere in the sticks because like mother nature is
- 8:19not this complicated you know you look at me sideways i'm
- 8:22gonna eat you basically you know it's it's
- 8:26not so complicated just to live
- 8:29but the the man-made rules make it
- 8:32that way and honestly like you as
- 8:35your person you have your essence you have your spirituality and that can
- 8:38like drain on that like that can pull it down because you know
- 8:41once you start getting in that death spiral of like
- 8:44hopelessness you know what i mean you just
- 8:46start seeing everything else in your life going wrong like
- 8:49i've been there and things have like sometimes
- 8:52just come down all at once you know you have all
- 8:55these bills you have family members that might
- 8:58be sick you have friends that might have problems and be sick or
- 9:01you know you might not be able to pay the bill and
- 9:04so you're worrying about that so i mean you
- 9:06have all this stuff just pulling at you and sometimes your spirituality and
- 9:11your essence and like your ability to say no to something or to not really care
- 9:16goes low on that totem pole just low you it's not it's on the back burner afterthought
- 9:23like oh well i'll deal with it later I gotta sleep.
- 9:26I'll deal with it later You know, I gotta go to work I'll deal with it later.
- 9:31It's tolling It's,
- 9:32It certainly is. And I think. Sorry, I'm ranting. No, I mean,
- 9:36that's what this whole episode really is.
- 9:39But it shouldn't just be ranting. It should be actual solutions.
- 9:43Because like I said, we are not political. And I don't speak political.
- 9:46So I'm not going to make a political issue out of this.
- 9:49But when we look and when we sit, again, as human beings in our own homes,
- 9:54we're so free to speak where we say, oh, this is wrong. We shouldn't be paying
- 9:59all these taxes. We shouldn't be doing this.
- 10:00We shouldn't be doing that. And like I said, then if we get somebody in the
- 10:04government that says, we're going to take this fucking government apart and
- 10:09we're going to shrink it down to make it more manageable, to hopefully make life easier,
- 10:14then everybody all of a sudden has a problem with that.
- 10:17You either are for or against a cause. You can't have it both ways.
- 10:23You can't say, well, I don't like a person.
- 10:25You know, I see the entire government.
- 10:29I see, you know, I don't care who the politician is. I see flaws in all of them,
- 10:32but I said, what do we want? Do we want more government?
- 10:36Do we want more taken from us?
- 10:39Do we want more freedoms taken from us or not? Again, I.
- 10:45And the hardest thing, regardless of the political party, the problem is we're too damn separated.
- 10:52We're on one side of the color or the other color.
- 10:56And I'll tell you what, whoever's in charge has to satisfy both, not just one half.
- 11:03We need to all come together and understand, okay, this is the way we're going to try things.
- 11:08We, the people, are the government.
- 11:11And we can make changes ourselves. and we need to start doing something.
- 11:16But the damn thing is, we're too damn fat and lazy. We're too damn stupid.
- 11:21And we allow everything to happen. We're divided right now, if you haven't noticed.
- 11:27I mean, like, I don't like talking politics, but we are divided.
- 11:30It's like men versus women. If you got online, you see these guys blaming women.
- 11:35You see these women blaming guys.
- 11:37And no one really wants to work with each other. They just keep wanting to put
- 11:41each other down So they're, like, more superior, I've noticed.
- 11:45And I don't think anyone is. Like, get off your high horse. We both need each other. Shut the fuck up.
- 11:51Excuse my French. And, like, let's work together. Let's get some shit going
- 11:57in a common sense kind of way.
- 12:01You see that a lot. You see people, you know, having a lot of struggles,
- 12:06too. I mean, so, and some people think that, you know, like the hardship Olympics,
- 12:12you know, they got to be the hardship Olympics.
- 12:16It's just, there's a lot of division. I mean, that's why people aren't rising
- 12:23up to like, say like, no, like you work for us.
- 12:26Like you, you're the government, you work for us, the people,
- 12:29not the other way around. But I feel like that's been lost.
- 12:33Essentially like we don't fight Like with how we want things Like we don't and
- 12:38we don't do it if we do We don't do it in a debate style We do it in an aggressive you know,
- 12:45extremist kind of way and it's and
- 12:48i think it's all by design i think it's oh
- 12:51yeah you know it's it's a way to say
- 12:54hey we don't want the people to rise up you know so they put this whole thing
- 12:59you know this grand division right through the media that fuels it and we get
- 13:05to this point and i think a lot of us are getting more pissed off because some
- 13:10of us might be realizing that
- 13:12you know and they said well we're too far deep now and we just got to keep going
- 13:16along with this and it's not right i you know i said what i want to do much
- 13:20like you living out in the sticks i told you the other night all i want to do
- 13:23is go out to a forest dig a deep enough hole you know,
- 13:27set it up so i can live on the ground and just completely shut myself off from society.
- 13:37Sorry as soon as you said stick a hole in the ground like i was like oh like a hobbit I'm sorry.
- 13:42That's exactly where my mind went. It's fine. I would much rather live like a hobbit at this point.
- 13:48I don't want to live on society's norms, like with money and all this.
- 13:53I just want to live. Like barter. I would say barter systems still.
- 13:58Right. Yes. Simpler. Much simpler. Yeah.
- 14:02Yeah. You know, and or just the act of giving when there is nothing to give.
- 14:07I it's a simpler life but it
- 14:11doesn't it's so easy to achieve if every single person less I would say maybe
- 14:1713 percent of the population is just too evil to understand but I think the
- 14:21rest would be on board with it you know sorry I had to laugh that you're like
- 14:26maybe 13 percent evil you know.
- 14:31But yeah, I could see that. Yeah, I do.
- 14:38We also spoke about, too, just, again, just how disgusting we are as human beings. It's like,
- 14:45We were disposable unless we have something to give, you know?
- 14:52Oh, this is why are we paying to be sick? Why are we paying for accidents that just happen?
- 14:58You know, whether it be a natural accident or, you know, oops,
- 15:02I messed up kind of accident.
- 15:04Again, insurance companies, you know, would pay them so that in the end,
- 15:08if something happens, they pay out.
- 15:11Then they don't. So why the
- 15:14fuck did I give you all this money For the entire year And
- 15:17you're not going to pay out Oh like California backing out Yes That is disgusting
- 15:25Yeah That really is disgusting I don't even know what else to say But that makes
- 15:31us shitty humans Yeah right there Letting people go without shelter An actual home.
- 15:38That's disgusting that's that's real
- 15:41bad behavior and just yeah food shelter
- 15:45clothing why do we pay for it why are
- 15:48we the only species that are paying for it and then like i said even just getting
- 15:53sick you know a simple thing that happened why then we looked at you know as
- 16:00you know like we're doing something wrong and then everybody's got their hands
- 16:04in your pockets and then as soon as you run out of that jingle jingle,
- 16:08you pushed it aside medically.
- 16:10I'm not going to call you out or force you to talk about this,
- 16:13but it bothers me that you were in a situation like this and through absolutely
- 16:19zero fault of your own, you get sick.
- 16:24And what do you get out of it? What help do you actually get from it?
- 16:29Because speaking about what you had, I mentioned, I said, we got advertising
- 16:35in your face every time you click a link, it's another erection pill.
- 16:39Oh, because it generates money. But what about cancer?
- 16:43Where's the medicines? Where's the help for that? Where's the advertising for
- 16:47that? And there you're looking at the two sides.
- 16:50Because the dick pills are bringing in money and so is a cancer patient.
- 16:55A cured cancer patient is not going to bring in any money.
- 16:59Right. It's not. I, you know...
- 17:04As someone who's gone through it, I mean, it's traumatic to know that your life
- 17:08just means the dollar sign.
- 17:10Like, fuck you, you know, if you can't pay for this, you can't live, you know.
- 17:14I mean, I went into debt. Like, I don't even know. I have debt.
- 17:21But I actually need to figure out how much. Because there's a good bunch.
- 17:25I still keep getting tax bills from, like, 2017.
- 17:30I mean, oh, yeah, I was, you know, getting chemo.
- 17:33I wasn't going over to go pay the the local tax collector um you know I really
- 17:41don't know how I got out of it like It was a really dark time.
- 17:45I really didn't act in a way that was at all good and uh To me,
- 17:53it's even a mystery I have no clue I have no clue.
- 17:58I mean my kids I mean the fact that you know had to get up every day,
- 18:03you know get one of them off to school or if i was pregnant like getting
- 18:06it because because i got pregnant right after i had cancer i
- 18:09mean very shortly like in a non you know i should have waited kind of way um
- 18:15so i mean it just it gave me something you know like a schedule just to like
- 18:21work myself out of like maybe a funk of depression financially though i'm definitely
- 18:26not out of that hole like not at,
- 18:30And yet, people choose to go to school, choose to go to colleges,
- 18:34choose to fill out all the forms to get the money, and then they're forgiven
- 18:38to not pay back that money.
- 18:41But then you have people that went through cancer, and you got all these medical bills.
- 18:45On top of money? Yeah, no one's sitting there saying, hey, we'll pay for that.
- 18:51Yeah, because I did, I graduated like two days before I found out I had cancer.
- 18:57So, I mean, I didn't go to the graduation because I wasn't feeling good.
- 19:04And it took a long time. And then by the time I actually like was able to go,
- 19:10I just decided it's a whole mess.
- 19:14It's hard to find a job around here in that degree.
- 19:18So, yeah, it's really hard. Yeah.
- 19:22And I get that. And there's the other problem. Like we can't find jobs.
- 19:25We can't make affordable wages.
- 19:28Like I said, you work two jobs. It does shit. It does shit. It barely keeps a roof over your head.
- 19:34You're taxed to death. So if you go out and get a third job,
- 19:37you're going to be taxed even more.
- 19:39Where does it end? When would you have time to sleep,
- 19:45That's dangerous too If you're not
- 19:48sleeping You're going to end up Probably causing
- 19:52more damage of some sort Someone will come around
- 19:54and want to sue you Three jobs You're
- 19:58going to need There's no work-life balance
- 20:02At all There really isn't You have to make sacrifices like am I gonna like just
- 20:10uh wear ratty holy clothes so I can have some food or am I going to buy some
- 20:15clothes and I can't eat or am I gonna have electricity and no food you know,
- 20:20just kind of yeah making your decisions based upon right we were living I did
- 20:27not want this like I said to be a negative show but I know and I know the audience
- 20:31out there there's at least All of you are going through some sort of issue That you know.
- 20:39Relates to all of this. And there's no easy fix at this point because we allowed
- 20:44it to happen for way too long.
- 20:46We constantly let the system slip up and then everybody's out there battling
- 20:51when the system's trying to get fixed in probably a very aggressive way.
- 20:56But again, that's us. We allowed it to happen and we need to figure out how to pull ourselves out.
- 21:04I don't mind banding together with like-minded people and helping each other out.
- 21:08You give what you can and you get back what you can, but that's only going to last for so long.
- 21:15So if everybody wants to go out to the forest with me, bring some shovels,
- 21:19we'll dig a nice deep hole in the ground. We'll all live there.
- 21:24That's what I would like. My life has been turned upside down the last you know
- 21:30three months i keep talking about it i don't want to harp on it all the time,
- 21:33but it's it's a lot though it's a lot it's a lot and it doesn't and like i said it's,
- 21:41i'm doing the right thing you are you're in the right direction yeah and it's
- 21:46not so much hurdles these are things that shouldn't even be in the way you know
- 21:52the cost of it yeah you know the the taxes,
- 21:57hands in your pocket, saying, oh, look, this person is doing better.
- 22:00Let's go ahead and go there and grab something from them.
- 22:03Take away something that they need to achieve.
- 22:07And that's what's going on. I think that's what's going on with a lot of us.
- 22:10And at some point, it's got to stop. At some point, we have to talk about it.
- 22:14We have to release that energy.
- 22:16Yeah. I mean, yeah. I mean, the thing is that once you release it,
- 22:21you still have to go back out into public and you start collecting more and more energy.
- 22:26I mean, the more I go out in public, sometimes I come back and it's like been a good experience.
- 22:31Sometimes I come back home and it's just been, I need to stay away from people
- 22:36for like at least three days because it was just,
- 22:41That it was not good energy It was a bad experience Very stressful.
- 22:49And sometimes you don't have the option to do that So yeah, even if you get
- 22:55the energy out It's still going to be there So yeah, getting out and talking
- 22:58about it is the way to go I mean, we have to,
- 23:02A lot of people know they're not alone No,
- 23:06you're fine I mean, people do need to get a platform Most people do.
- 23:11But I think a lot of people, again, and I spoke about it, I don't want to repeat
- 23:15myself from other podcasts, but
- 23:16there's a lot of people that are just complaining about the wrong things.
- 23:21And I think we need to complain about things that affect everybody,
- 23:25not just what's affecting you or the way you want something to be.
- 23:29Because we've spoken about that too, especially with religions and everything
- 23:32else where it's either my way or no way.
- 23:36You know, we need to do more where it's a collective for everybody.
- 23:41Right. And I think if people are able to have that and just be able to be themselves
- 23:45and, like, have the essence of themselves, I think people would honestly,
- 23:49things would start clearing up negative-wise.
- 23:52So, like, yeah, I don't think that, you know, it should...
- 23:58You know religion should be for yourself spirituality should
- 24:01be for yourself you should not be pushing it out on others like it
- 24:04is for yourself to bring you peace right it's to make yourself feel at ease
- 24:10to be at peace to be happy to have you know that relationship with your spirituality
- 24:16religion or you know whatever you know that is for yourself like Like, I just.
- 24:22Yeah, it's for you. And it should not be forced out. And even with this show,
- 24:27I mean, we are kind of more of a spiritual, metaphysical kind of show.
- 24:31But I always make the disclaimer. We don't push it down anybody's, you know, throats.
- 24:36You come here and you join us if you wish to.
- 24:39I don't go out there and tell you, you have to listen to us.
- 24:42And this is the way and the only way.
- 24:44I don't want to operate like that. I push what I believe, and I give you that
- 24:50option to take it and do what you want with it.
- 24:53And like I say, if it's not your thing, I don't bolt you for not wanting to listen to the show.
- 25:01Right, but then you have that social contract, right, where people are supposed
- 25:05to be civil and respectful of that, right?
- 25:08I have noticed that steep it's gone
- 25:10low on the totem pole like tolerance no no
- 25:14being civil no like everybody is very
- 25:17extremist it seems um and it also
- 25:19makes me kind of scared to like speak my mind about it
- 25:22because i'm like man i'm gonna have to deal with someone
- 25:25trying to jump down my throat i might have to
- 25:28you know like say rude things to
- 25:31get a point across and it's just like I it's icky
- 25:34I don't I don't want to go there but I'm
- 25:37not also going to let somebody talk to me and disrespect me or um be condescending
- 25:43because I mean I still have some self-respect for myself I mean self-esteem
- 25:50might be low but I have some self-respect you know enough to be like yeah no.
- 25:55Just, we don't get along. We don't agree. That's okay. But it does seem,
- 26:01that's where I'm saying, like you feel that aggression and tension when you
- 26:04walk right out in the atmosphere with people.
- 26:06Like you're scared to talk to them about anything because of the way things
- 26:10are going right now with everything, you know?
- 26:14Whatever side you're on or not on or don't agree with, you know?
- 26:20It's all equally bad. And that's what
- 26:23I think the point is we're just trying to make and
- 26:25I hope people can pull out of this I wish the
- 26:28best for everyone I wish everybody can be in a good situation and
- 26:32technically as humans we should be but we
- 26:34just don't allow that we're always looking at harming somebody
- 26:38or doing bad or just making somebody else's life difficult
- 26:42and that it should not be but I thank
