Latest / The Mark Simone Show / Hour 2: Are windmills effective?
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to the Mark Simone show.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Well, hey, LaGuardia open one runway clothes but otherwise open.
- 0:15Speaker 2: I'm getting emails from all kinds of people who have
- 0:17Speaker 2: been through the airport. Some had nightmare four five hour
- 0:21Speaker 2: delays and some sailed right through. With the TSA pre check.
- 0:26Speaker 2: You know, you can get that TSA pre check. It's
- 0:28Speaker 2: a little bit of work, but once you got that,
- 0:30Speaker 2: it makes life easier. I would imagine because of what's
- 0:32Speaker 2: going on now, everybody is thinking of getting that TSA
- 0:36Speaker 2: pre check. There's a couple of those services, but I
- 0:40Speaker 2: would imagine their phones are ringing off the hook right
- 0:43Speaker 2: now as we speak. Hey, a lot of flack. President
- 0:47Speaker 2: Trump got over his tweet his truth social post about
- 0:54Speaker 2: Robert Muller. Muller dies and Trump tweets Outrobert Muller has died.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Good glad he's dead. Now he can't hurt any more
- 1:04Speaker 2: innocent people. Now. They quoted Trump all over the fake
- 1:08Speaker 2: news by saying that he said Robert Muller's dead. Good
- 1:11Speaker 2: glad he's dead. They leave out the next part where
- 1:15Speaker 2: he said, now he won't be able to hurt more
- 1:17Speaker 2: innocent people. And of course if you're a Robert Muller
- 1:22Speaker 2: and you're the guy that tried to get Trump, and
- 1:24Speaker 2: you try to wipe out Trump, and you were the
- 1:26Speaker 2: guy pushing the Russian collusion. Well, of course, if you're
- 1:29Speaker 2: fake news, you love this guy. If you're a media
- 1:32Speaker 2: democrat Trump hater, you love this guy. So they did
- 1:35Speaker 2: these endless pieces about how dare Trump say that he's
- 1:39Speaker 2: a war hero with a purple heart, with a bronze star,
- 1:42Speaker 2: a true public servant, a war hero. But the truth
- 1:45Speaker 2: of the matter is as distinguished as he was in
- 1:49Speaker 2: the first half of his life, and he was a
- 1:52Speaker 2: war hero. He went to Princeton and volunteered, volunteered to
- 1:56Speaker 2: go to war in Vietnam. Pretty good, and he was
- 2:01Speaker 2: a war hero, and he got a purple heart, a
- 2:03Speaker 2: couple of them, in a bronze star. But that doesn't
- 2:07Speaker 2: mean you can't become a bad guy later in your life.
- 2:09Speaker 2: We've had people who've gotten purple hearts and bronze stars
- 2:11Speaker 2: and went on to be murderers. It's happened, criminals. It happens.
- 2:16Speaker 2: The fact that you are a great war hero, it's wonderful,
- 2:19Speaker 2: but it doesn't give you a get out of jail.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Free card for the rest of your life. And the
- 2:23Speaker 2: fact is, in the last couple decades of Muller's life
- 2:27Speaker 2: he became a bad guy, a really bad guy, in
- 2:29Speaker 2: the last ten years of his life with that Russian hoax,
- 2:32Speaker 2: which he knew was a hoax, and he brought into
- 2:36Speaker 2: his group some of the most evil, corrupt, dirty, dirty
- 2:42Speaker 2: partisan prosecutors. You know, those Andrew Weisman type of guys
- 2:46Speaker 2: who have a history of just going after people, smearing them,
- 2:51Speaker 2: framing them, whatever they have to do. There's a lot
- 2:53Speaker 2: of those kind of guys, and Muller and he's smarter
- 2:56Speaker 2: than that. He let those people into his committee, into
- 2:59Speaker 2: his commission, and he had them running the investigation. He
- 3:02Speaker 2: had them preparing the report, and if he looked at
- 3:05Speaker 2: the final report, there was absolutely no Russian collusion. And
- 3:10Speaker 2: a bad guy would do it. Mullerd, a good guy
- 3:13Speaker 2: would say, would actually have said, you know, we looked
- 3:16Speaker 2: into this, there's nothing there. It's not true. Instead of
- 3:19Speaker 2: saying that, he said, well, we found no actionable evidence,
- 3:23Speaker 2: we found no legal ground. I mean, you just he's
- 3:26Speaker 2: a bad guy at the end, a really bad guy.
- 3:28Speaker 2: He not only should have told the truth, which is
- 3:31Speaker 2: we found nothing in fact, there was no Russian collusion
- 3:35Speaker 2: of any kind. There was absolutely nothing between Trump and Russia.
- 3:38Speaker 2: He should have said it, and he should have come
- 3:41Speaker 2: out and said, we investigated this, and it looks like
- 3:44Speaker 2: the Hillary Clinton campaign was behind this, and it was
- 3:47Speaker 2: maybe the dirtiest trick ever. It was just total dirty trick,
- 3:51Speaker 2: corruption from the Hillary Clinton campaign that launched this fake
- 3:55Speaker 2: Russia store. He should have said all that he didn't.
- 3:58Speaker 2: The fact that he didn't mean he just ruins his legacy. Now,
- 4:03Speaker 2: maybe Donald Trump should have explained it as I just
- 4:05Speaker 2: explained it, instead of just saying, good glad he's dead.
- 4:07Speaker 2: But that's not the Trump style. That's not the Trump style.
- 4:11Speaker 2: So hey, we just heard on the news President Trump
- 4:14Speaker 2: trying to stop a lot of these windmills. The problem
- 4:17Speaker 2: is it sounds good, you know. It's a typical Democratic
- 4:20Speaker 2: politician kind of thing, wind power, windmills. It's feel good stuff.
- 4:25Speaker 2: It sounds like getting rid of the evil fossil fuel
- 4:28Speaker 2: and just the windmills will give us power. It sounds great.
- 4:33Speaker 2: It doesn't work at all. Not only doesn't it work,
- 4:35Speaker 2: it drives up your electric costs by like three times.
- 4:41Speaker 2: A great example is Europe, much of Europe went to
- 4:43Speaker 2: wind power Germany and other countries for about a year,
- 4:47Speaker 2: and then they had to tear down all the windmills
- 4:49Speaker 2: because they found it doesn't work. There's not enough energy
- 4:52Speaker 2: coming from the costs are preposterous. There's plenty of times
- 4:56Speaker 2: of the year where there's no wind in the North
- 4:57Speaker 2: Atlantic and they had to tear all the windmills. So
- 5:01Speaker 2: it's not like anybody didn't give it a chance. It's
- 5:03Speaker 2: really been tried and tested all over the world. Wind
- 5:07Speaker 2: power doesn't work. You could use it on one little
- 5:11Speaker 2: house or something with a little wind, it doesn't work.
- 5:14Speaker 2: And not only that, it's the most expensive energy in
- 5:17Speaker 2: the world. If your electric bills one hundred dollars with
- 5:20Speaker 2: wind power, it's four hundred dollars. You just can't use it.
- 5:23Speaker 2: So you got to get rid of all these windmills.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Not to mention, and here's the other part of it,
- 5:27Speaker 2: it does absolutely nothing to help with the climate problem.
- 5:32Speaker 2: It does absolutely nothing to help the environment. In fact,
- 5:36Speaker 2: the windmills themselves are massive environmental nightmare. You have to
- 5:42Speaker 2: tear up the ground underneath to put in a windmill
- 5:46Speaker 2: for like a mile in every direction. You got to
- 5:48Speaker 2: tear up the ground poor concrete just to hold that windmill,
- 5:52Speaker 2: totally ruining the land it's on. Those blades are enormous.
- 5:56Speaker 2: You know, one blade is the size of the Washington Monument.
- 6:00Speaker 2: What it takes to get rid of those blades. You
- 6:02Speaker 2: have to change them every year, so you'd have millions
- 6:05Speaker 2: of blades you'd have to dispose of. And it's the
- 6:09Speaker 2: most awful environmental nightmare getting rid of these big fiberglass blades.
- 6:15Speaker 2: So they're just awful. They don't produce anough electricity. The
- 6:18Speaker 2: cost of electricity is like four hundred percent more, so
- 6:21Speaker 2: you got to get rid of it.
- 6:22Speaker 3: You know.
- 6:22Speaker 2: The Democrats are always the ones yelling about gasoline prices
- 6:26Speaker 2: that look what the president's doing to your pocketbook. Look
- 6:28Speaker 2: what he's doing to your budget with the gasoline prices. Meantime,
- 6:32Speaker 2: everything they do raises your electric bill about four hundred percent.
- 6:37Speaker 2: When they shut down Indian Point thanks to Andrew CuMo,
- 6:40Speaker 2: shut down the nuclear plants, or put in all these
- 6:43Speaker 2: green scheme regulations, it doubles, triples, quadruples the cost of
- 6:48Speaker 2: your electric bill. And if you if you say, he says,
- 6:51Speaker 2: you know, electric bill used to be like one hundred
- 6:52Speaker 2: and twenty dollars. How come it's three hundred and eighty Now,
- 6:55Speaker 2: that's because of all the crazy climate change regulations, all
- 6:59Speaker 2: the green ski regulations that have been put in. That's
- 7:03Speaker 2: why it got to be so much. Hey, that crazy
- 7:06Speaker 2: mayor mom Donnie and that looney wife of his. Just nobody,
- 7:12Speaker 2: nobody ever really took a hard look at that wife
- 7:16Speaker 2: before voting for him. As bad as he is, she
- 7:19Speaker 2: appears to be completely nuts, running around with every anti
- 7:22Speaker 2: Semitic thing she can run around with. She also has
- 7:25Speaker 2: been she works as a professional illustrator, but she's been
- 7:29Speaker 2: doing it for the most awful anti Semitic, anti Israel,
- 7:33Speaker 2: evil sort of organizations. Just terrible. You're stuck with these
- 7:37Speaker 2: two for another So I was gonna say three and
- 7:41Speaker 2: a half years. It's more than that. It's like three
- 7:42Speaker 2: and three quarters of a year. But you'll get through it.
- 7:45Speaker 2: You know, this incredible activity in New York City right now.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Apartments are being sold like crazy, at the high end
- 7:52Speaker 2: that the contracts being signed or at record numbers. You
- 7:56Speaker 2: can't rent an apartment right now. Rentals are through the roof.
- 7:59Speaker 2: There's almost no inventory left. People are moving in like crazy,
- 8:03Speaker 2: and skyscrapers massive skyscrapers are being built. Look at fifty
- 8:08Speaker 2: second in Park there's like a eighty story skyscraper going
- 8:11Speaker 2: up there. Fifty eighth in Madison there's like a ninety
- 8:14Speaker 2: story skyscraper going up there. There's another one going up
- 8:17Speaker 2: forty fourth in Madison where the old Brooks Brothers is
- 8:20Speaker 2: huge skyscraper. They're all over the city, downtown, the village.
- 8:25Speaker 2: There's construction like crazy, building these massive skyscrapers. And if
- 8:29Speaker 2: you talk to these real estate guys, these you know,
- 8:33Speaker 2: the big big real estate companies, say wait, aren't you
- 8:35Speaker 2: worried about Mam Donnie. What's gonna happen in New York?
- 8:37Speaker 2: And they always say, you know, he's just a blip
- 8:40Speaker 2: on the raider. He's just a little blip in time.
- 8:42Speaker 2: He'll be gone soon. You know, when you do a skyscraper,
- 8:45Speaker 2: it's five six years of construction, usually five six years
- 8:48Speaker 2: of planning it, maybe more. It's a ten to fifteen
- 8:51Speaker 2: year projects. They don't worry about Mom Donnie. So you
- 8:53Speaker 2: got to think like that, it's just a blip. It's
- 8:55Speaker 2: just a little blip. Don't worry about it. Hey, you know,
- 8:59Speaker 2: Charlie Kirk had a mentory. His name was Jeff Webb,
- 9:02Speaker 2: very very wealthy guy from Texas, Texas businessman. He mentored
- 9:06Speaker 2: a lot of people and he found a young Charlie Cook,
- 9:10Speaker 2: a Charlie Kirk at the age of twenty four, and
- 9:12Speaker 2: he thought he was looking at a future president, and
- 9:15Speaker 2: he helped get him started, helped guide him real visionary.
- 9:19Speaker 2: His name was Jeff Webb. He died. It was terrible
- 9:23Speaker 2: that he died, But I'm looking at why he died.
- 9:25Speaker 2: This is awful. He died in a pickleball accident. Hell
- 9:29Speaker 2: do you die in a pickleball accident? But it happens
- 9:33Speaker 2: some head injury. They don't really reveal what happened, serious
- 9:37Speaker 2: head injury. He was in the hospital and he died.
- 9:41Speaker 2: How many people you know died playing pickleball? But it
- 9:44Speaker 2: can't happen. There's another guy that died. This guy is
- 9:48Speaker 2: Ukrainian Leo or Davinsky. He was worth four billion, very
- 9:54Speaker 2: private guy. He's the guy that started Only Fans you
- 9:57Speaker 2: know that OnlyFans porn site. He actually bought it. It
- 10:01Speaker 2: was already in existence, but it wasn't anything. It wasn't
- 10:03Speaker 2: much anything. He bought it and built it into this
- 10:06Speaker 2: multi billion dollar business. One of the biggest websites in
- 10:09Speaker 2: the world. Only Fans where anybody can do porn. You
- 10:14Speaker 2: open up, it's kind of like Twitter or sub stack
- 10:18Speaker 2: or Instagram whatever. You create your own site, you do
- 10:20Speaker 2: your own videos, you post it all and then you
- 10:23Speaker 2: post a little previews and if people want to get
- 10:26Speaker 2: the real thing, they got to get a subscription to you.
- 10:30Speaker 2: And you make a lot of money. And there's a
- 10:32Speaker 2: lot of hot, hot looking young women. I guess older
- 10:35Speaker 2: ones too, but it's mostly young women on there that
- 10:38Speaker 2: have become Only Fans stars. Now they're total amateurs. They
- 10:43Speaker 2: do their own videos, but they make a fortune. Here's
- 10:46Speaker 2: one woman in her twenties and yeah, she's actually only
- 10:52Speaker 2: twenty one. She'll only doing this for a few years.
- 10:54Speaker 2: But she's really good looking. So she was a waitress.
- 10:58Speaker 2: She was struggling to pay the rent, she couldn't pay
- 11:01Speaker 2: her bills. She got on Only Fans and really took off.
- 11:05Speaker 2: She became one of the most popular on there in
- 11:08Speaker 2: the first two years. Now, hold on to something. In
- 11:12Speaker 2: the first two years she made ninety five million dollars
- 11:18Speaker 2: on Only Only Fans. Now you might be saying, well,
- 11:21Speaker 2: who'd want to go on there and take the clothes
- 11:23Speaker 2: off and do porn and well. In the first two years,
- 11:27Speaker 2: she made ninety five million dollars. And she put out
- 11:31Speaker 2: a really touching statement to this owner who he died.
- 11:35Speaker 2: The owner of this thing just died. She said, he
- 11:38Speaker 2: changed my life. I have nothing but gratitude for him.
- 11:41Speaker 2: He built something that made me a millionaire. I was struggling,
- 11:44Speaker 2: he was, so it's going to continue. He actually tried
- 11:48Speaker 2: to sell the site not long ago. I guess he
- 11:52Speaker 2: knew he was pretty sick. He had cancer for a
- 11:54Speaker 2: long time, but he tried to. I think his price
- 11:56Speaker 2: was too I tried to sell it for eight billion.
- 11:59Speaker 2: It's more like two billion him three billion. But very
- 12:02Speaker 2: reclusive guy who's only forty three, lived in Miami. Other news,
- 12:08Speaker 2: Bill Cosby. There was another one of these victims suing
- 12:12Speaker 2: him civil trial, civil court, and she won and the
- 12:16Speaker 2: court ordered Bill Cosby to pay nineteen million dollars in
- 12:21Speaker 2: damages to her. Cosby now saying he has no money,
- 12:24Speaker 2: that he's totally broke. Member he was in prison, and
- 12:26Speaker 2: there were other lawsuits like this that he settled and
- 12:29Speaker 2: he paid out millions. Hard to believe, isn't it. Out
- 12:33Speaker 2: of all the celebrities you ever thought would have a
- 12:35Speaker 2: problem like this Bill Cosby. And you remember when he
- 12:38Speaker 2: first came along, he was such a gentle, kind of thoughtful,
- 12:43Speaker 2: sort of clean cut sort of a guy. And then
- 12:46Speaker 2: as you watched his career develop and you found out
- 12:49Speaker 2: he used to be like a basketball coach or a
- 12:51Speaker 2: foot And then you found out he wanted to be
- 12:53Speaker 2: a teacher. And remember he went back to school. Even
- 12:55Speaker 2: as the biggest star in the world, he went back
- 12:57Speaker 2: to school in Massachusetts, got his doctorate of education, was teaching.
- 13:01Speaker 2: What a wonderful man. Then you find out about this
- 13:04Speaker 2: stuff you never would have never in a million years
- 13:08Speaker 2: with you thought, that's the celebrities gonna end up in prison,
- 13:11Speaker 2: end up having to to settle these kind of lawsuits. Hey,
- 13:17Speaker 2: you know those espresso martinis. It's the worst thing you
- 13:21Speaker 2: can have. By the way, it's late at night. The
- 13:24Speaker 2: martini's not that healthy for you to begin with. Now
- 13:26Speaker 2: you're putting espresso into it. That's like three cups of coffee.
- 13:30Speaker 2: Sometimes people have two of them. That's a lot of caffeine,
- 13:32Speaker 2: that's a lot of alcohol. It's the worst thing you
- 13:34Speaker 2: can have. So and they're expensive someplace. Someplaces charge a
- 13:38Speaker 2: fortune for them. And by the way, be careful where
- 13:40Speaker 2: you have your espresso martini. Now, if it's a really
- 13:43Speaker 2: fine place, they have an espresso machine and they make
- 13:46Speaker 2: fresh and put it in the martini. But if it's
- 13:49Speaker 2: a lot of other places and bars, it's a martini
- 13:53Speaker 2: and they just take yesterday's coffee and throw it in there.
- 13:56Speaker 2: So be careful where you order it. But here's the
- 13:58Speaker 2: Benjamin Steakhouse in Manhattan. It's very good at Benjamin Steakhouse, Midtown, Manhattan.
- 14:05Speaker 2: So they've rolled out the it's the ultra decadent Hot
- 14:08Speaker 2: Coco Martini, the Hot Coco Cocktail. It's a thousand dollars
- 14:15Speaker 2: a glass, one thousand dollars got Now that sounds crazy
- 14:19Speaker 2: who they would pay a thousand dollar But it's going viral.
- 14:22Speaker 2: It's all over Instagram. They'll have a longer line for
- 14:25Speaker 2: this than Laguardi Airport does. Right now. It's got Versailles
- 14:29Speaker 2: valure or something in it. It's got gold leaf on top,
- 14:34Speaker 2: it's got Mozart dark chocolate liqueur. It's got all kinds
- 14:38Speaker 2: of names I can't pronounce. It's steamed milk and orange bitters,
- 14:42Speaker 2: delicately heated Grand Monnier, Quintessence and Hennessy Richard Kognak and
- 14:46Speaker 2: I don't know what the hell all of this is.
- 14:48Speaker 2: You know what, Just order a beer, save yourself a
- 14:52Speaker 2: lot of trouble. Anyway, we'll take some calls. Next eight
- 14:54Speaker 2: hundred three to two one zero seven ten is the
- 14:58Speaker 2: number eight hundred three one zero seven ten to hear
- 15:02Speaker 2: Mark live. Set another for Mark's podcast to hear him anytime.
- 15:08Speaker 2: Now back to Mark Simone on wo or Hey, let's
- 15:12Speaker 2: take some calls. Let's go to Randall in Maryland. Randall,
- 15:15Speaker 2: how you doing? Hello?
- 15:18Speaker 3: Mark service by by warning them about that stupid drink
- 15:23Speaker 3: that espressed on Mark Join the public is by pet
- 15:25Speaker 3: p terrible to drink.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Yeah, well it's one thousand dollars, but people will line
- 15:31Speaker 2: up for anything. Let's go to Ernie and Greenwich. Ernie,
- 15:34Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 15:36Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a pleasure to talk to you.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Mark.
- 15:38Speaker 4: I actually met you. I was the gentleman who opened
- 15:41Speaker 4: up the door for you with Paulpo.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Do you work there? No? Oh, you were the guy
- 15:47Speaker 2: coming out with your wife. I remember you. Poulpo's a
- 15:50Speaker 2: great restaurant. Polo and Greenwich, Connecticut. Ron Rose, of the
- 15:54Speaker 2: owner that's right. I was there Friday night and you
- 15:56Speaker 2: opened the door.
- 15:58Speaker 4: Yeah, I was actually sitting right next you. But it's
- 16:01Speaker 4: the second time I met you. And you're so personal
- 16:04Speaker 4: on the radio, so knowledgeable, but you always seen that.
- 16:08Speaker 4: The first time I met you was a Prime about
- 16:10Speaker 4: a year ago.
- 16:11Speaker 2: Prime in Stanford. That's another great place.
- 16:13Speaker 4: Whenever I meet you, you you just look at me
- 16:16Speaker 4: like you think I'm gonna mug you.
- 16:17Speaker 2: Yeah, you have that look about you. You definitely look
- 16:20Speaker 2: like a shady character. Now you're a nice guy.
- 16:23Speaker 4: But anyway, love your show, great work, continue to do it.
- 16:26Speaker 2: Thank you, all right, thanks, Yeah, no, it depends. You know,
- 16:29Speaker 2: he's a nice guy. But some people, you can see,
- 16:31Speaker 2: they want to start a twenty minute conversation about Iran
- 16:34Speaker 2: or something, or talk about Trump or something that you
- 16:36Speaker 2: just you know, you don't want to get involved in that.
- 16:38Speaker 2: So let's go to Mike in Florida. Mike, how you doing,
- 16:42Speaker 2: Good morning, Mark, Yes, Mike.
- 16:44Speaker 5: So let's get this straight. Now, Liberals and Democrats love
- 16:48Speaker 5: a guy who volunteered to go to Vietnam and was
- 16:51Speaker 5: the head of the FBI.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, well, Muller, remember he was the guy that
- 16:56Speaker 2: was going to put the final nail in the Trump coffin.
- 16:59Speaker 2: He was going to get.
- 17:00Speaker 5: Exactly yes, and he volunteered to go to Tanam. So
- 17:04Speaker 5: we're just saying, yeah, you know.
- 17:08Speaker 2: I mean, it's great that you're serving the military. But
- 17:10Speaker 2: the guys that volunteered to go are all kind of weird.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Got you know, John Kerry, Robert Muller, and they kind
- 17:15Speaker 2: of look alike, don't they.
- 17:17Speaker 5: Yeah, absolutely the same.
- 17:19Speaker 2: Herman Monster kind of looked to them.
- 17:21Speaker 5: But they scared of beating the meat away from our
- 17:26Speaker 5: monsters there, they sent those two guys.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Yeah, thanks for thanks for calling. But listen, Muller, great
- 17:33Speaker 2: distinguished service. However, the last decade or so of his life,
- 17:37Speaker 2: just a terrible, terrible guy, a dirty swamp guy. Let's
- 17:42Speaker 2: go to Joe in Elmwood Park. Joe, how you doing,
- 17:45Speaker 2: good morning? Mark?
- 17:45Speaker 6: How you doing good morning?
- 17:46Speaker 2: Vincent? You hit a fun You have to.
- 17:48Speaker 6: Lump Phil Murphy in the same thing because he did
- 17:50Speaker 6: the same thing to us in Jersey. And now all
- 17:53Speaker 6: in three months are electric utility bills are triples?
- 17:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, how dare these Democrats complain about Trump
- 18:00Speaker 2: raising oil prices? They raised your electric bills by four
- 18:03Speaker 2: hundred percent just like that.
- 18:04Speaker 6: Now we got Governor Lamb Chop.
- 18:06Speaker 2: Yeah, that's where we wanted.
- 18:09Speaker 6: Jack Chibarelli.
- 18:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I think you got. I think it's enough with
- 18:13Speaker 2: that Jack Chittarelli. How many times have you guys run
- 18:15Speaker 2: Jack Chitarelli. The voters have spoken on Jack Chitarelly.
- 18:22Speaker 6: Now on the lighter side, Mark, didn't you get your
- 18:24Speaker 6: starret on WNWAM?
- 18:26Speaker 2: Well, I was no. I had been in radio long
- 18:29Speaker 2: before that, but I was on WNIW for many years,
- 18:31Speaker 2: about ten years, eleven years. And remember Steve Allen I
- 18:34Speaker 2: used to do a daily show together there.
- 18:36Speaker 6: Oh okay, And who was your mentor like Dan Ingram.
- 18:40Speaker 2: Or oh no, mentor? Well, definitely Dan Ingram, but a
- 18:43Speaker 2: mentor list would be like one hundred names. There were
- 18:45Speaker 2: hundreds and hundreds. I was very lucky. I got to
- 18:47Speaker 2: work with the greatest ever. And when it was DJ's
- 18:50Speaker 2: I got to work with Dan Ingram and cousin Brucey
- 18:52Speaker 2: and all those guys and WNEW Remember they had legends.
- 18:56Speaker 2: I mean these guys were institutions there, William B. Williams
- 18:59Speaker 2: and Ted Brown and Jonathan Schwartz and all those. And
- 19:02Speaker 2: then when I first started doing talk radio, work with
- 19:05Speaker 2: Barry Gray and Bob Grant and Barry Farber, and I
- 19:07Speaker 2: mean these were legends. Let's go to rich in New Jersey.
- 19:11Speaker 2: Rich how you doing.
- 19:13Speaker 3: Good morning, Mark, You're fantastic. I love your show. Just
- 19:15Speaker 3: two things real quick, if I might. First, if you're
- 19:18Speaker 3: going to get the espresso Martin or any espresso, get
- 19:21Speaker 3: the Beatas espresso. There's a little bit of caffeine in it,
- 19:25Speaker 3: but it won't send you through the roof. Also, second thing,
- 19:28Speaker 3: I know you're friends with Curtis and port Larry's got
- 19:31Speaker 3: to be over there banging his head because Curtis has
- 19:34Speaker 3: a degree of Trump arrangement.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Well that's okay. I guess that's okay. I mean, that's it.
- 19:40Speaker 2: I think that's the idea. I remember we used to
- 19:42Speaker 2: have Michael Riedle and the other guy there. That was true,
- 19:45Speaker 2: but that was the idea. Debate back and forth.
- 19:48Speaker 3: Do you think Curtis is as liberals as Len No, no, no, no, no,
- 19:52Speaker 3: as Alan Polmes. He's a little out there.
- 19:56Speaker 5: No.
- 19:58Speaker 2: I wouldn't say Curtis is liberal like me. He's liberal
- 20:00Speaker 2: on some things, conservative on others, but he doesn't like Trump. Trump.
- 20:05Speaker 3: He definitely has Trump arrangement. Definitely anything that trumps.
- 20:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think he has Trump de arrangements in right.
- 20:11Speaker 2: I think he just never liked him from the beginning. Listen,
- 20:13Speaker 2: there are people that just don't like him. But yeah,
- 20:16Speaker 2: and we love Donald Trump.
- 20:17Speaker 3: You don't like you, so don't worry about it.
- 20:19Speaker 2: Now. We all love Trump, we love what he does,
- 20:21Speaker 2: but you love them. Yeah, but you can see how
- 20:24Speaker 2: he can rub some people the wrong way.
- 20:26Speaker 3: Well, listen, he's I think Trump operates at a level
- 20:30Speaker 3: intelligence wise that a lot of people don't get like
- 20:33Speaker 3: this whole tsa thing, complete genius. Probably want him at
- 20:38Speaker 3: the airport in the first place, but he knew the
- 20:40Speaker 3: Democrats would go cucko. Now he's got him there.
- 20:43Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, well thanks for calling. Yeah, that's the
- 20:45Speaker 2: thing about Trump. It seems harsh at times. Why do
- 20:48Speaker 2: you have to say that, Oh my god, why did
- 20:50Speaker 2: he do that? Why does he talk like it? Way? Well, uh,
- 20:53Speaker 2: you got a good point there. He's a genius. He
- 20:55Speaker 2: literally is a genius. He's brilliant. He's it really is
- 20:58Speaker 2: like four dimensional checks and he's forty seven hundred moves
- 21:01Speaker 2: ahead of everybody. So as crazy as it sounds, as
- 21:06Speaker 2: you check their record, as crazy as it sounds to
- 21:09Speaker 2: do this, to do that, in the end, it always
- 21:11Speaker 2: turns out he was right. Now, he's got a very
- 21:14Speaker 2: abrasive manner about doing it. But as the great Robert Morgenthal,
- 21:18Speaker 2: one of the greatest leaders ever in history, used to say,
- 21:23Speaker 2: because we all kind of knew each other, Trump and
- 21:25Speaker 2: him and every and people would grumble about Trump and Morgan,
- 21:28Speaker 2: Thha would always say, when it comes to Donald, watch
- 21:31Speaker 2: what he does. Don't listen to what he says, just
- 21:33Speaker 2: watch what he does. He'll get it done in the end. Hey,
- 21:36Speaker 2: when we come back, Bill O'Reilly will be with us next.
- 21:39Speaker 2: Lots to talk to him about on seven to ten
- 21:41Speaker 2: WR the Mark some Own Show. Well Bill O'Reilly, the
- 21:49Speaker 2: number one TV anchor for decades, the number one best
- 21:52Speaker 2: selling author on Earth nonfiction author on Earth. Get his
- 21:55Speaker 2: latest book, Confronting Evil. Hey, also check out his YouTube
- 21:59Speaker 2: channel great stuff there, and make sure you watch this
- 22:01Speaker 2: new podcast called We'll Do It Live, especially the latest
- 22:05Speaker 2: with Lindsay Gram It's fascinating. Well, we'll talk about that
- 22:08Speaker 2: in a second, of course. The TV show Everything's at
- 22:10Speaker 2: Bill O'Reilly dot com. Bill O'Reilly dot com. Bill O'Reilly how.
- 22:14Speaker 1: You doing, Marian tav How about you?
- 22:17Speaker 2: I'm good. Hey. The most interesting I watched was your
- 22:21Speaker 2: new podcast do It We'll Do It Live, the latest
- 22:24Speaker 2: one with Lindseay Graham. That was the best explanation of
- 22:27Speaker 2: the Iran war I have ever heard. Thank you.
- 22:31Speaker 1: It's an old fashioned interview, you don't get many of
- 22:35Speaker 1: them anymore, where I went in very surgically and we
- 22:40Speaker 1: started with the word imminent because that's what the Trump
- 22:45Speaker 1: administration is saying to justify the action, that Iran had
- 22:53Speaker 1: an imminent threat with the uranium they hold, And I
- 22:58Speaker 1: thought that defined it pretty well. Now you can always
- 23:04Speaker 1: not believe him if you don't want to, and that's
- 23:07Speaker 1: what people have a tendency to do. We did identify
- 23:10Speaker 1: him as a hawk. He is, but he was very
- 23:15Speaker 1: convincing to me. And he certainly knows because he gets
- 23:20Speaker 1: the intel just like President Trump, and he speaks to
- 23:24Speaker 1: Trump a couple of times a day. So if there's
- 23:28Speaker 1: ever a guy who knows what the nuke situation is
- 23:32Speaker 1: insider on, it's Lindsey Graham.
- 23:35Speaker 2: Yeah, everybody's going to go watch this. It's Bill o'relly's
- 23:37Speaker 2: new podcast, We'll Do It Live. The Lindsey Graham one.
- 23:41Speaker 2: But he explains, if you're going to use the nuclear
- 23:45Speaker 2: material for some energy of commercial purposes, it's twenty percent.
- 23:48Speaker 2: But when you get it to where they have it
- 23:50Speaker 2: sixty percent, you're heading towards Yeah.
- 23:52Speaker 1: And the real kicker on it is that the Trump
- 23:55Speaker 1: administration in its negotiations before the action and said to Iran,
- 24:01Speaker 1: we'll pay for your nuclear ambitions to power up your country,
- 24:12Speaker 1: so we'll make it happen for you. But Iran basically said, no,
- 24:18Speaker 1: We're going to do what we want to do, and
- 24:19Speaker 1: that's develop a nuclear weapon. So what more does anybody need?
- 24:24Speaker 1: Because if you have a rogue regime like that, a
- 24:29Speaker 1: theocracy that answers to no one, and they have a
- 24:34Speaker 1: nuclear weapon, they can hand that weapon off on a
- 24:39Speaker 1: low level situation and kill hundreds of thousands of people.
- 24:43Speaker 1: But apparently half of the United States doesn't believe that
- 24:48Speaker 1: or doesn't want to believe it. And to me, it's like, Okay,
- 24:54Speaker 1: you don't believe history, you don't believe evil, you don't
- 24:57Speaker 1: believe nukes. What do you believe? And I'll tell you
- 25:01Speaker 1: what they believe. Trump is the evil one that's driving
- 25:06Speaker 1: all of the.
- 25:06Speaker 2: Descent Now, they did this with Bush. They hated Bush. Fact,
- 25:11Speaker 2: that's where the term came from. Bush derangement syndrome. But
- 25:16Speaker 2: he was a very formal politician. Trump just rattles their
- 25:19Speaker 2: cage at every turn. So is that all it is?
- 25:21Speaker 2: He just cranks it up like a thousand notches.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Yeah. They don't want to hear any kind of positive
- 25:29Speaker 1: analysis of Donald Trump ever, and so whatever Donald Trump's
- 25:33Speaker 1: in bob with is wrong, and the media pushes that
- 25:38Speaker 1: out on a daily basis. So Americans who don't pay attention,
- 25:43Speaker 1: which about half of us. We live in bubbles, so
- 25:47Speaker 1: we don't pay attention to the news, don't really care
- 25:49Speaker 1: what happens other than what happens to ourselves. So they
- 25:54Speaker 1: pick up the anti Trump sentiment and then they form
- 25:59Speaker 1: whatever they're gonna form it. They don't know what Iran is.
- 26:04Speaker 1: They can't find it on a map. They don't know
- 26:06Speaker 1: what theocracy is. They don't know the details that Lindsey
- 26:11Speaker 1: Graham put out. You know, when you interview a guy
- 26:14Speaker 1: for an hour, which is what the long form, we'll
- 26:19Speaker 1: do it live, does you know he has to have
- 26:23Speaker 1: it together or I'm going to destroy him? You know that?
- 26:27Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 26:28Speaker 1: And he falters or he doesn't have it, I'm going
- 26:31Speaker 1: to go in, I don't care who you are and say, well,
- 26:35Speaker 1: it doesn't stack, it doesn't make any sense. But Graham
- 26:39Speaker 1: was very well organized in this process, and I believe him.
- 26:43Speaker 2: No, you did it perfectly. You were the tough Cross
- 26:45Speaker 2: Examiner and everybody should go watch it. It's We'll do
- 26:49Speaker 2: it live. Bill Rilly's latest podcast, Watch the one with
- 26:51Speaker 2: Lindsey Graham. Hey, and the other thing I love about
- 26:53Speaker 2: this podcast it's on a It looks like a TV
- 26:57Speaker 2: show on a set, which is great. Everybody does these podcasts.
- 27:00Speaker 2: They're in a sweater, they're in their basement, they're in
- 27:02Speaker 2: a garage. I don't like that stuff. I like it
- 27:04Speaker 2: the way you did it.
- 27:06Speaker 1: Yeah again, traditional, old school, respectful. There'll be times when
- 27:11Speaker 1: I don't wear a tie, but I'm not going to
- 27:13Speaker 1: look like a bomb and smoke pot during the podcast. Okay,
- 27:18Speaker 1: it's not going to do it. I'm not going to have,
- 27:20Speaker 1: you know, a shot of vodka in between questions. So
- 27:26Speaker 1: I don't care what other people do. I've been in
- 27:28Speaker 1: this business more than fifty years, a bit successful in
- 27:31Speaker 1: every single thing we've ever done. Because I understand what
- 27:35Speaker 1: the American audience wants in its pursuit of journalism, and
- 27:42Speaker 1: they want honesty and they want authenticity, which is why
- 27:46Speaker 1: you're successful. And that's what I provide.
- 27:50Speaker 2: Hey, explain this to me as the media expert, because
- 27:52Speaker 2: all these consultants, you know, I tell you everything is quick,
- 27:55Speaker 2: short form, quick quick. How come everybody now wants to
- 27:58Speaker 2: hear these long interview these long podcast What is that
- 28:01Speaker 2: all about?
- 28:02Speaker 1: I don't know. I mean as an excellent question, because
- 28:04Speaker 1: I didn't want to do this my younger staff when
- 28:09Speaker 1: I say younger under thirty five, but all you got
- 28:13Speaker 1: to do this. You got to get in the game.
- 28:14Speaker 1: And because we were doing four nights of a hard
- 28:18Speaker 1: news broadcast, we're doing three nights now in the Know
- 28:22Speaker 1: it'spin news, and one night of the long form. And
- 28:25Speaker 1: I finally surrendered. I said, all right, we'll give it
- 28:28Speaker 1: a shot. And we've done two of them and they've
- 28:31Speaker 1: been fabulous successful, millions of people, and we're dropping a
- 28:36Speaker 1: third on Thursday, which is I'm going to alternate back
- 28:42Speaker 1: and forth. So we got Steve Sharipa on Thursday. Yeah,
- 28:47Speaker 1: and it's very interesting, particularly for New Yorkers, because Sharrippa
- 28:52Speaker 1: is a Brooklyn guy who never wanted to be an actor,
- 28:57Speaker 1: he never wanted to be famous, and was almost thrust
- 29:01Speaker 1: upon him. Fascinating story. And he's a good guy. I
- 29:06Speaker 1: know him personally, So he will drop Sharripa on Thursday.
- 29:11Speaker 2: Oh, that's gonna be great, That's gonna be excellent. So, yeah,
- 29:14Speaker 2: he was he was the entertainment director of the Riviera
- 29:16Speaker 2: Hotel in Las Vegas.
- 29:18Speaker 1: That's right. And before that he was a bouncer in Vegas.
- 29:23Speaker 1: But he's a genuinely good guy and an honest guy.
- 29:27Speaker 1: And I get into a lot of the subtleties of
- 29:32Speaker 1: both the Sopranos and blue Bloods because you had two
- 29:36Speaker 1: classic guys in there, Gandolfini the lead in Sopranos and
- 29:44Speaker 1: Sellek the Blue Bloods guy, And they were opposite guys,
- 29:50Speaker 1: but they did control the venues they were in. And
- 29:54Speaker 1: the way in Sharrippa was in boat programs and really
- 29:58Speaker 1: describes it very there stuteley, how these guys make it
- 30:04Speaker 1: to the top and the pressure on them to stay there.
- 30:07Speaker 2: Wow, sounds fascinating. Well, you can watch this. This will
- 30:09Speaker 2: be the latest podcast. It'll come out Thursday, and make
- 30:13Speaker 2: sure you go watch the Lindsey Graham one. It's the
- 30:15Speaker 2: best explanation of why we're in Iran, and just go
- 30:18Speaker 2: to you just go to YouTube right and watch it there.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Yeah, it's easy. It is Bill O'Reilly dot com. Because
- 30:24Speaker 1: we just have a big thing. Just pop it with
- 30:27Speaker 1: your finger and then it appears free. You know, all
- 30:31Speaker 1: of the podcast stuff is free. But it is a
- 30:34Speaker 1: phenomenon in America that people now had the patience. I
- 30:39Speaker 1: mean it's nut in Texas, Rogan.
- 30:42Speaker 5: Yeah, three three hours.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Well how can you sit there for that?
- 30:49Speaker 2: You know?
- 30:50Speaker 1: And that is my limit. I need I need a
- 30:53Speaker 1: milkshake after that.
