Transcript
- 0:00[SPEAKER_03]: Hey everybody, welcome back to the Great Mulk and Lane Patreon channel where we get to analyze really obscure fun characters from an analytical lens once in a while We just get to pick a character that's so stupid and it's so fun I mean I'm putting my judgment out there already, but we're here to talk about the
- 0:16[SPEAKER_03]: mess, the absolute horrid mess that is razor-fist.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_03]: The name alone implies everything you need to know.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to have an amazing time.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_03]: I'm so excited to be joined.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_03]: By two friends I have not hung out within far too long.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_03]: The incredible DJ niece and the incredible kind of a crist.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_03]: The mural can you
- 0:32[SPEAKER_03]: So I'll have you introduce yourselves with your name and pronouns.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_03]: And my initial question, you are an amputee, who now has sorts for arms.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_03]: What's one thing you struggle doing on your own?
- 0:43[SPEAKER_03]: Let's begin with the wonderful TJDs.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_03]: TJ, welcome back to Great Malkin' Lane.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_04]: All right, I'm glad to be back.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_04]: My name is TJ Knees.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_04]: I'm a cosplayer.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_04]: I use he and pronouns.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_04]: My cosplay handle is gravel road cosplay.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_04]: You can finally find me mainly on Instagram.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_04]: You can find me at different conventions across the country and hopefully further beyond the United States in the future.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_04]: That's one of my goals for what is this?
- 1:11[SPEAKER_04]: 2025.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_04]: 2025.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, so that's one of my goals for this year.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_04]: I've been cosplaying for 11 years.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_04]: Now I specialize in sewing.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_04]: So I've been sewing for about 10 of those 11 cosplay years.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_04]: If I was a double amputee and I had swords for hands, I would have so much trouble needing a sweater from a mom for Christmas.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_03]: I feel like you could get a special attachment.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_03]: You're like a little magnet, look at the end of the sword and you just knit away.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_03]: It's just further away, right?
- 1:38[SPEAKER_03]: I think if you got to pull the sword back in a little bit.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I thought I would go a little more esoteric, rather than not be a smart.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_03]: And let me also welcome Kelly back to the show.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_03]: Hi, Kelly.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_06]: Hello, hello, happy to be here.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_06]: My name's Kenny Crest.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_06]: I go like he him and if I had razors for fists, I, okay, based solely on his outfit of choice, I have to imagine he would get the most horrendous wedgies.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_06]: And I feel like taking a wedgie with swords for arms and being really fucking difficult.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you would need like a personal aid whose job it is to be the wedgie picker.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_03]: We're like a little hope on the wall got like you can just kind of go, you know, because he makes choices.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_03]: All right, last God Anderson, you guys this episode is going to be real stupid.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_03]: I just in advance.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to get a little Ronchi.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to have some fun and just okay, because here's where I begin.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_03]: My, my pronouns are he him.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_03]: But if I have swords for arms, how do I wipe my ass?
- 2:34[SPEAKER_03]: I, you get a blast.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_03]: But how do you masturbate?
- 2:37[SPEAKER_03]: How do you eat your dinner unless it's all like a pre-paired smoothie?
- 2:42[SPEAKER_03]: What do you do with sorts for arms except for you?
- 2:45[SPEAKER_03]: How do you blow your nose?
- 2:47[SPEAKER_03]: Right, right, like you got it.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, so like I'm gonna take this like so seriously for a minute.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_03]: The being an amputee is a disability.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_03]: And maybe he can like detach swords and he has like little hands that he can put on.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_03]: Otherwise, maybe his house is just ultra equipped for disabilities.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_03]: That's what I want to believe about this character.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_03]: But we're gonna get to a run in his appearances in when he's like a member of the Hood's Army where he's so disgusting.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_03]: He like lives in the sewer and likes everything stinky and makes a bunch of teenagers like weight on him hand and foot.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_03]: So this man, nope, he's gross.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_03]: Also, he's triplets.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_03]: That's where we are.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_03]: I was so confused.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_03]: He's been totally insane character.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_03]: How do we end up on RazorFist?
- 3:31[SPEAKER_03]: Can I feel like this was your idea, but it was probably mine.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, so I'd only read 80s era RazorFist.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_06]: So in my very limited view, he was a hilariously camp, completely ridiculous over the top, just like, sea-lister doing.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_05]: And the further I read, it's like, oh, oh, this guy's super sucks.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_03]: He's not sea list villain.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_03]: He's like L list villain for me.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_03]: What sucks about the razor fist?
- 4:01[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, there are a couple times in there where he like he says he's Chinese, but I'm like pretty super sure he's just some white dude.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_03]: Oh yeah, yeah, his name is like his last name is Scott.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_03]: This man is not right.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe he lived in China for a minute, but yeah,
- 4:14[SPEAKER_06]: So there's there's cultural appropriation right there.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_06]: I feel like he's a really dragging the ambiguity community through the dirt.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_06]: Like I feel like they could do a lot better.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_06]: I was shocked enough haul by this villain from the Wolverine that I had this like little soft spot for.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_06]: I'm like, oh, now I feel kind of gross.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_03]: And TJ, I, I, I messaged you and I say it's been too long since you've been on the show.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_03]: How about Razor Fizz?
- 4:35[SPEAKER_04]: I vaguely remembered him from, uh, it was a mini series, the Sex and Violence, uh, mini series.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_04]: I've read that back in the day whenever it came out because that X4's team and the author's Kyle and Yost, I think it was?
- 4:47[SPEAKER_04]: I just loved it and so he stuck in my mind and then like half the time they take him super serious, but he is like bonkers at like bananas crazy and other times they actually realize how stupid and idiotic this whole concept is.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_03]: I almost prefer it.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_03]: So we get him as like a disciple or as like a mercenary, but then we have writers who will write him as just fucking crazy.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_03]: Like this is this is an yeah, crazy man and that's almost my preference although it's
- 5:17[SPEAKER_03]: He's a really picky character.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_03]: It's gonna be fun to jump in and this is he has a guy that fights the X-Men sometimes Now the fun part is on my show we're firmly entrenched in 1975 this year because we're in giant size X-Men number one era and resurface debuts in 1975 which kind of makes it fun to examine
- 5:35[SPEAKER_03]: We've been talking about second wave feminism.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_03]: We've been talking about Blacksploitation.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_03]: We've been talking about Native American veterans.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_03]: And here we, and we've been talking about radioactive island monsters.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_03]: But here we get to jump into the world of Shang Qi, where there is white writers kind of capturing that essence of entered the dragon.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_03]: Bruce Lee like high action and have you ever have you guys ever seen enter the dragon?
- 5:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I didn't.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_04]: Was huge into Bruce Lee movies whenever I was little and then so I remember seeing a lot of them whenever I was little and I tried to revisit some of them later and some of them are a hard watch.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_04]: The perspective that I remember.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you can definitely tell the ones made by white American directors or writers versus some of the Hong Kong transition ones.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_03]: It remains a pretty incredible film, and if you've ever read like Power Man and Iron Fist, there's a character in into the dragon that gives like very Luke Cage energy.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_03]: And then of course, we've got like some white guys who are also ninjas, right?
- 6:31[SPEAKER_03]: But you almost get the idea that this is like a buddy team up comedy that they put later.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_03]: Shawn cheese a really amazing character, and there's a lot of really problematic content.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_03]: But his early stuff, it's, it's fucking good.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_03]: If you go back and read Master of Kung Fu or Dudley Hands of Kung Fu, there's a lot of really powerful stuff in it.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_03]: I eventually want to do the trial of Silver Samurai on my show, we'll get there and that will like really heavily lean into that kind of genre along with like the Japanese cultural appropriation.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_03]: That becomes along with that character, but I love that villain.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_03]: So Shanchi fights a bunch of really crazy villains who often have just like a weird little gimmick, like let's give someone a ponytail with a spiky ball at the end.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody has different weapons and they're all named after their weapons.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_03]: It's me, sword, it's me, me, me.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_03]: It's me.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know, catapult.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_03]: You know, like they're all these names of like whatever weapons you can stab or hit someone with and there's a whole bunch of these fucking villains.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_03]: They're everywhere None of the ones I just mentioned.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_03]: I think are actual iron just villains.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just throwing out what
- 7:30[SPEAKER_03]: There's a whole long list of weird ones.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_03]: Let's fast forward, though, to the best version of RazerFist in the Shang-Chi and the 10 Rings movie that came out a couple of years ago.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_03]: RazerFist is played by the German actor, Florian Montanou.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_03]: If I'm saying the name right, who is just a fucking beautiful man, and probably has been on an only-fans video with Kenny and his partner at least once.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_06]: I wish, oh my god, he is so gorgeous.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_06]: It suit as like the trailer came out to that movie.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_06]: I was like, oh, I've got to find through this and some follow them immediately.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_03]: He's also with really charming Aquafina gets a moment during that film, if you recall, where she's like razor fist, it's like an oxymoron, because your fist is blunt, but the razor sharp and you're like, oh, there's a blue play on words, actually.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_03]: There's an outtake scene I found on YouTube, where he has a moment with her and he's like, look, I am an amputee, you know, I'm from Hungary, and I should not be here either, but I have swords for arms and I will fight for you.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, you didn't, you didn't, you didn't.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_04]: The trailer, like the bus scene and razor-fist fighting and slicing through the bus and Shang-Chi, finding on that, that was really interesting.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_04]: Once I watched it, it was really good.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_04]: It did have a lot of like the old school kung fu movie motifs.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_04]: And especially whenever they're fighting and then the with the bamboo structure and it started to follow up, I like that took me back to some of those old movies that I used to watch with my dad.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's really charming actually and in any version, I don't even know who the kill person is in this one, but in any version from this film where razor fist and shung to your lined up, you'd marry similarly every time and you'd fuck Florian Montano ever Only correct answer, whoever the third person has paired up to be.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, first share.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_03]: So this character, research wise, was just a wild journey of stupidity.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_03]: There's not a lot of depth to this character.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_03]: There's a few attempts.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_03]: A lot of times he just shows up in a crowd scene.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_03]: And he has a whole bunch of appearances in the early 2000s when they did that, like, hoods army, that Brian Michael Bendis was using in all the new Avengers and Avengers stuff.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_03]: There's like 50 different super villains running around.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_03]: There's some mutants on the team, but they get a whole bunch of appearances where they don't really do much.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_03]: They just get punched into the face in a big crowd scene by a group of a random Avengers.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_03]: That's kind of all you get from a lot of his appearances.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_03]: So reading some of his stuff was pretty simple because it's like, oh, he's showing up here and he showed up here.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_03]: But he's a fun foil for Wolverine, specifically in a way, because Wolverine's got the claws, and this guy's just got the sword hands.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_03]: And there's something about the two of them to kind of going at it.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_03]: Wolverine versus Silver Samurai is always fun too.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_03]: But this man is his arms are swords.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_03]: Like, there's...
- 10:01[SPEAKER_03]: What's that?
- 10:02[SPEAKER_03]: What about that?
- 10:03[SPEAKER_03]: Get any thoughts on a razor fist versus Wolverine.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_03]: We have a few fun bouts.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_06]: So that was my introduction to razor fist was as like a hired mercenary to take out Wolverine.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_03]: You're talking the Marvel Comics presents stuff.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_06]: Yes, that was my first razor fist.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_06]: And so in my brain he's just this like silver fetish gear wearing Diva with like long blades for hands.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_06]: Like yeah, I have to fuck shit off.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_06]: I love them immediately.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_06]: I even I screen grabbed that on my phone because I was or my I've had because I was just like it's been in my favorites folder for years, and it's so dumb.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_06]: I prefer him in the bright silver number.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_06]: I feel like it gives him more pop more.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_06]: He just looks like a sad like want to be dominate tricks person who's just is not very good at his job
- 10:53[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so that's the thing we have to consider.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_03]: This man is choosing this field of work.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_03]: He wants to be a mercenary with sword arms because there are other options out there.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_03]: You could be a sushi chef.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_06]: I was going to say, we should have a sushi chef.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_06]: He could be culturally appropriate if you want to stick to that motif.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_06]: There are options.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_03]: Right, but those sorts aren't stuck on his arms as what I'm saying.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_03]: He could be a branch man.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_03]: If he wanted to be like, there's other alternatives.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_03]: He could be dildophist.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_03]: It's a lot of ways this could go.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_03]: So we're going to jump to Master of Kung Fu 29 through 31.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_03]: This is 1975, Doug Metch, who, of course, is the infamous Moon Knight writer and other things, Paul Galassi on Pencils.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_03]: Action, as you've never seen it before, fists of fury versus slashing swords of death.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_03]: the rampage of razor fist and we're going to fall back view of a truly bizarre villain.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_03]: Now he does not wear this costume in the issue itself.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_03]: But he's bent all weird here as like Sean, she's punching him and from the elbow up he has sword arms.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_03]: But he's wearing a singlet and red tights and thigh high black boots that accentuate those calves, honey.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_03]: And he has a wedgie swimsuit with the biggest wedgie potential, like more than silo because he's got a lot of meat back there and when he has no hands to pick it.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_03]: It is two hands with a suit on it and he has like big old metallic studs all around his waist like it's a nuts costume It it's almost like that time kitty pride put on the like stripe socks and roller blades look like Crazy inside we see shall she being sent after a hero and dealer named Arleton Velcro Which is an amazing poor name all by itself
- 12:37[SPEAKER_03]: And the GoPro has an employee.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_03]: He's nicknamed, and rather amusingly, I think, RazorFist.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_03]: This guy has a leather cowl.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_03]: This is his actual costume.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_03]: A very skimpy, black, singlet, thigh-high boots, sword arms.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_03]: He's otherwise basically naked.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_03]: And then RazorFist chops up a marble statue of a nearly naked man in order to demonstrate his power.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_03]: He just hacks it to pieces.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_03]: First he cuts off the head, then the torso, and then right through the butt cheeks.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_03]: And no, I'm not kidding.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_03]: Like he slices the statue in half through the butt cheeks, and Kenny is so turned on.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_03]: I love, I love, I love earlier as a vest.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_03]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 13:25[SPEAKER_03]: Mr. Velcro has requested that I greet you more precisely his instructions were to shake hands with you I am sure you'll appreciate Mr. Velcro's wit more fully once you meet him yourself one piece at a time And the implication is here I'm gonna slice you through the butt cheeks like I did not
- 13:44[SPEAKER_03]: Now, Kenny, there is a thing in the gay culture where we have a little bit of an obsession with singlets.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_03]: There are singlet parties.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_03]: There are jox and socks parties out there.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_06]: I'm gonna talk about what people love about a singlet.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_06]: All right, so here's my working theory.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_06]: One, they can be incredibly flattering on a body.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_06]: But when you sort of look back through it, like strong men, early wrestlers, they were all hypermasculinized, and at the time dressed in this gear,
- 14:11[SPEAKER_03]: You're like old-timing circus energy, right?
- 14:15[SPEAKER_06]: Like, blue to this one, from, from, from, yeah, like the, like, the, like, like, you're like, you're like, yeah, yeah, yeah, down to your belly button with the, like, cleavage popping out for me.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_06]: That's where my brain goes.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_06]: I love that, like, all the strong man, like, look, I think it's really cool.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_06]: And they always have like the big mustache and go figure out what does that, yeah.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, go figure.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_06]: I'm into Buffman with my stashes who would have thought as far as like finish where it goes typically it's very expensive.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_06]: So a single that is a really easy way to break into it.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_06]: They're really comfortable until you have to use the bathroom.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_06]: Then they get tricky they allow you to sort of like dip into a fantasy without like really having to financially commit to any.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, I mean it hugs the curves.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_03]: He gives you both the ass, but also it's the thighs and the arms and the shoulders My husband looks great in a singlet.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_03]: My children do not know what a singlet is, but they have hurt me teasing my husband It's very sharp How you should wear a singlet to a party the ones in a while my kids will crack a joke like like, you should wear your singlet He's like, no, I'm not doing that
- 15:16[SPEAKER_04]: I have made a couple of singlets for cosplay.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_04]: They weren't, or like, any kind of gear or anything.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_04]: I was doing it as a, like, old fashion, like, swimsuit, mint gentleman's swimsuit kind of thing.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, like, it's like a proper bathing suit.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, proper bathing suit.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_04]: Because I did polka dot man.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_04]: I found this polka dot fabric.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to made a flight helmet like him with the goggles and the singlet out of polka dots.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_04]: I do have to say I enjoyed it.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_04]: I got lots of compliments and I enjoyed wearing it.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_03]: And so I could see what you're saying of, you know, I love a obscure cause play reference.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_03]: I had never fucking heard a poking out man, but I just looked him up and now I now TG you have my mad respect because that's a cliche right.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's an old Batman crazy.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that's a really fun because he was in the suicide squad the sequel.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_04]: And then so I didn't want to make his full costume because I liked I loved him in the movie, but then I found this fabric.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_04]: Like that's how a lot of my costumes work out.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_04]: I just find this fabric and I get inspired by it.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_04]: And then so I wanted to make this singlet and a war singlet.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_03]: So we jumped to the issue 30 back in the Shonkshi series.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_03]: You are a most skilled intruder.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_03]: You have penetrated Mr. Velcro security system to its final and most effective defense.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_03]: My name is Razor Fist.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_03]: Know that I shall spit upon your blood.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_03]: Whoa!
- 16:34[SPEAKER_03]: And I traded Mr. Velcro and now I will sit on your blood.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_03]: This guy's a kid, y'all.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_03]: He is so needlessly intense.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_03]: He says, you know that my name is Shang-Chi.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_03]: I'm using my ex, obviously.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_03]: I must pass you Razor Fist, but I do not wish to spill your blood nor to dilute it with hatred.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_03]: Ha!
- 16:51[SPEAKER_03]: You a swift Shang-Chi.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_03]: My mouth waters.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_03]: Admittedly, he says, a pity, you have danced away Shang-Chi.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_03]: My blades have grown thirsty with the promise of your blood.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_03]: Again, this guy's into some k-k-k-k-k-k.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_03]: This is the guy, this is the guy on the apps where he signifies what he's into and like it's a very, very specific like singlet, singlet's blood and spit super denized play there's a little fight scene shong chi breaks one of razor fists and blades and the then tricks him into like stabbing another shirtless guy.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_03]: Razor Fist also loses an ear in this fight, which is crazy.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_03]: And in 31, Velcro fires a shot, and Shonchi dodges in the shot hits Razor Fist, and like he's dead.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_03]: And his last words, I Velcro stop.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_02]: I can finish him off.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_02]: You can't shoot now, not when I'm in the line of fire, not when I've been so loyal.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, Velcro, what have you done?
- 17:44[SPEAKER_06]: They were crazy.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_06]: I, so this was before I realized that Razor Fist was three people.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_06]: And again, the triplets, they're three.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, let's who are all Razor Fist's sisters.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_06]: Like, were they really, and they're just like the same car accident?
- 17:56[SPEAKER_06]: Like, how did it happen?
- 17:58[SPEAKER_06]: Like, we have no answer story.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_06]: There's just too much for their to be no explanation.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_04]: a master kung fu 105 to 106 in Hong Kong, a new razor fist and a black leather singlet of course with straps over his nipples.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, slices to be that says the name is razor fist.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_04]: I'm looking for Shen Quay.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_04]: Shen Quay.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, this is the cat.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_03]: This is the marble character, the cat.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_03]: There's this really sexy marble artist.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_03]: I think the cat's really not actually.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_03]: The man who can't tattoo on his chest, he's hot.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_04]: Not subtle at all.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_04]: The man known as the cat.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_04]: And this one only has one sword on his left arm.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_04]: One sword, what?
- 18:33[SPEAKER_04]: The new razor fist is nearly as skilled as the original.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_04]: Not as strong, but just as swift.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_04]: And if his single blade renders him less lethal by half, then his possession of a hand, more than compensates in versatility.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_04]: when the men refuse to talk, the brazer fist first slices through the chair, then kill some of the men, still you refuse, still you glare at me and defiance, letting nothing but blood pass from your lips.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_04]: Here we go.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_04]: Blood, it runs in the family.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's got sore arms.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_02]: He's gonna do it.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_04]: Right, and then we start attacking at some boats and then holds a sword through a woman's throat finally they give in the lead on shunchi and pavani pavani pavani pavani pavani I think as I said Carlton Velcro's former bodyguard who is a woman in a leather vest and leather panties and a whip Oh, there's a theme here like the tiniest little panties like it's it's it's another choice.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_06]: I don't even think of your college use drink.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_06]: It's just
- 19:26[SPEAKER_06]: It's a small leather triangle.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_03]: It's really, really, it just barely is enough to cover anything.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_04]: leather and a wish.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_04]: That's what you have.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_04]: Razer fist killed Pavayne's pet panther, then fought with Shang-Chi until Pavayne tied up his ankles with a whip.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_04]: He's captured, but it turns out there was another, yet another Razer fist with a sword on his right arm, and the three of them are triplets.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_04]: Don't, don't, don't, don't.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_04]: The turd of a rose alive!
- 19:53[SPEAKER_04]: He's alive, and now he's a sideboard!
- 19:56[SPEAKER_04]: Colin Shang-Chi, Chinese scumb, Razor Fist, and you're still tied to a chair, his mad-win pavaine says, how is it you and your brother have come so closely resembled the original Razor Fist?
- 20:07[SPEAKER_04]: Missing hands and all, we don't.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_04]: The original had blades on both arms, but we only have one blade on opposing arms.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_04]: Like, mirrored twins.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_04]: We were in access, oh my God.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_04]: I'm losing it, we were in an accident and when we wake, well Carlton Velcro explained that he decided to make an asset out of the loss we'd suffered in the accident, and then Pavein says an accident, he no doubt arranged for you, so he could manufacture two duplicates of his most successful assassin, the more efficient duplicates it that.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_04]: That's a lie, Carlton would never do that.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_04]: They are so dedicated to their boss, but he tells them where to find Velcro and the third razor fist.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_04]: At the mansion in Marquesis, so Shang-Chi and Laco Wu attack, and razor fist also calls him Chani-Skum and then Velcro gunned him down, and razor fist three is dead, dead, dead.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_03]: So the brother who had two sort arms died and then somehow some accident happened which I think they just fucking volunteered and they're like let's be razor fist twins.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_03]: I'll give up my left arm.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_03]: You give up your right arm and we can go to the cyborg guy who killed our brother who like because they wanted revenge right like it's a family honor thing question mark it's a truly true question mark for sure
- 21:22[SPEAKER_03]: These are all like deeply trained in martial arts.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_03]: It's a very least, right?
- 21:26[SPEAKER_03]: Like they have some significant training and they're super ripped and buff and they like shave their chests and put on singlets.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_03]: And I don't know, they almost give like lucha door energy in an odd way.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_03]: These are crazy characters.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_03]: Kenny, what are your thoughts on the RazorFist twins coming back to avenge their dead brother?
- 21:42[SPEAKER_03]: I told you the null.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_06]: I don't even know where to start with those two.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_06]: First of all, to be so obsessed with slicing and penetrating things and dress so slutty with your siblings.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, it's like big fenders level vibes.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_03]: Anyone watching my little season three?
- 22:00[SPEAKER_06]: I've heard and I need to, it sounds really good.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_06]: I love these parker toasy.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_06]: Oh my God.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_03]: There's a brother-on-brother action, without spread of spoil anything.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_03]: It's, it's, it's busy.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_06]: But I think, so where are my notes?
- 22:12[SPEAKER_06]: I have, like, they, they seem like they'd be like, bouncers at a fitness club, like, just standing at the door and leather in a mask and, like, weird knives for it.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_04]: Like, maybe they're just living their best lives, you know, and maybe I hope so for them.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_04]: They both have opposing hands so they can help each other out.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_04]: And they can high five and high five.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_03]: Wow.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_03]: And those questions we asked at the beginning, if the brothers do that stuff for each other, we're just going to move on here friends.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, so, so Kenny, fuck Mary, kill.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_03]: Razor fist with two sword arms, Razor fist with left sword arm and Razor fist with right sword arm.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, I kill double sword arms because I'm really clumsy.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_06]: And like, I don't need that many sharp objects around.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_06]: So I'd marry left hand and then I'd fuck right hand.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_03]: You gave this some serious thought.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_03]: I'm very impregnated.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_03]: I did.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_06]: I really, I, this, this podcast is important to me, Chad.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_03]: It's important to me too.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, we jump to now we're leaving the world of Shanchi and we're bringing Razor Fist into the main Marvel universe.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_03]: There's only one left now and their names by the way are like Doug and William.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_03]: I don't even remember the third Razor Fist's name.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_03]: I'll see if I can find it.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_03]: They give it one number to two.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_03]: What's that?
- 23:21[SPEAKER_03]: Did they give the original a name?
- 23:23[SPEAKER_03]: Or was he just Razor Fist?
- 23:24[SPEAKER_03]: There's the crazy thing.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think this guy has ever
- 23:27[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I mean, like he's been mentioned, but I don't think he's ever had a handbook entry, which is crazy.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_03]: I think I worked on the handbook team.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_03]: I might have overlooked it, but I don't think he's ever had one.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_03]: That's where we would sort that shit out.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_03]: We're not talking to West Coast Avengers number 11.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_03]: I love this title.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_03]: This is early 80s, just crazy Marvel nonsense.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_06]: This is when he joins a shockwave in Zeran, the weapons master.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_06]: who I got sword master and weapons master confused.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_06]: And so I was really looking at this strange when I was reading it.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_03]: Zaron the weapon.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_03]: Master is one of those shanky villains that gets used every once in a while like Bat Rock the Leaper.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_03]: He's supposed to be the master.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_03]: Free weapon.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_03]: You give him a nunchucks, a shrewkin, and a fucking kazoo, and he can use any of them in combat.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_03]: right?
- 24:05[SPEAKER_03]: It's that idea.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_06]: And he used like Kunai with ropes later, right?
- 24:08[SPEAKER_06]: No, that's doesn't know why that's someone else.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_03]: So, and shockwave is a British man named Lancaster Sneed, which is an amazing name, who dresses in some like uniform.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_03]: It's fine.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_03]: It's like a yellow suit.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_03]: He's a stupid character too.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_06]: Um, so they are going after mockingbird and Los Angeles.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_06]: I out of nowhere.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_06]: These villains just decide now is our chance.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_03]: There's a character called the deltite.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_03]: There's a deltite.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_03]: It's free.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_03]: Go to Marvel, Wiki, and look up the deltite.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_03]: We're not going to explain it here because it's really, yeah, I elements to anything.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_03]: Excellent.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, not at all.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_06]: if he gets to hack it a palm tree, he gets called vegematic man, which was really cute.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_06]: I have a hard time with Hockai, and this was a moment when I enjoyed his banter, a little bit, a vegematic man.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_06]: He also gets to think about how, because she's a woman, her emotion makes her wild.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_06]: For his defeated, he says, we represent the blood tongue of Hong Kong.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_06]: They're trying to open operations in America, superheroes, shields, the masses of your police, nunchus stem, our inevitable victory,
- 25:09[SPEAKER_06]: You know what?
- 25:10[SPEAKER_03]: I can mention them being bodyguards at the, at the Fenders Club.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_03]: So I actually should go here for a second.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_03]: The Deltaite, you guys know what life model decoys are.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_03]: These are like little shield robots that are programmed to look like an act like people.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_03]: The Deltaite is a life model decoy made by Nazi scientists, Dr. Arnhem Zola, and programmed with like an AI replica of Baron Wolfgang von Strucker's mind.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_03]: And he goes on to be a big shield villain.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_03]: So the fact that he hired razor fist is relevant.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, that tracks much like many of his appearances almost immediately knocked out.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_06]: He's just an elf.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_06]: Like he's this like this super like flamboyant like swing his arms everywhere.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_03]: And then like wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, w
- 26:08[SPEAKER_03]: Issues one through ten, we have Claremont coming into the with a Wolverine story right away.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_03]: Madropor's relatively new here, and he also read recently gave us the character Jess in home, who becomes Tiger Tiger in Madras.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_03]: And this is one of the stories where we get Claremont world building a little bit.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_03]: I have an old episode on Sapphire Sticks, where we cover some of this arc here.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_03]: She's a crazy vampire lady who is just kind of like
- 26:36[SPEAKER_06]: I was like sapphire six.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_06]: Why do I know that name?
- 26:38[SPEAKER_06]: Why do I know who she is?
- 26:40[SPEAKER_06]: And then when I was reading back to this, like, oh, that's why no.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_03]: There she is.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_03]: It's a razor fish.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, so when we jumped to this series, we have a Claremont and John B. Shema, which is an amazing combination already.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_03]: We're in Magraport and there's a guy named Roche, you don't need the details, who has hired Razor Fist, who's back in his little familiar costume in order to be his enforcer.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_03]: RazerFist hacks up a bunch of guys to prove his strength.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_03]: Your dossier and reputation are not exaggerated RazerFist.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_03]: He's told, he sent out a rumor and he's been listening to Stevie Wonder, which is an adorable little anecdote about this guy.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_03]: Because he yells, your fat's been signed sealed delivered.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_03]: courtesy of RazerFist.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_03]: So it doesn't officially mention Stevie Wonder, but he's using song lyrics in his, in his job, where he mentions fat being signed sealed and delivered.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_03]: Crazy.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_03]: His grades are in sheets during the first part of the fight.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_03]: So this is the thing where we have characters with swords or like Wolverine's claws, right?
- 27:28[SPEAKER_03]: You could never show people bleeding and tell more recent comics.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_03]: So like black knight when the Avengers would always have to hit people with the flat of his blade because he can't stab anyone.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_03]: So I love his razor-fifth little sheaths on his bone sword, it's crazy.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_03]: The razor-fifth unsheaths this sword, and he offers Wolverine a quote, a quick clean warrior's death.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_03]: And he stabs Wolverine and throws him in the river and then salutes him with a blade and says, I wish we'd met under different circumstances, stranger and in a fair fight.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_03]: I have a feeling you would have made a worthy foe.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_03]: And what he means is I wish you'd had a singlet on and we'd met at the gay bar over in Madrepoor.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_03]: The princesses are.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_03]: But Wolverine's back a few issues later and his claws are out and RazorFist is believed to be dead at the end of this fight.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_03]: This is a fun journey.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_03]: He's not a huge part of it, but it's pretty fun.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, this just want to say I had one of my bombs with RazorFist throughout his publication is the inconsistency of his blade size.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_06]: And this is he has the perfect blades in this in this little series.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_06]: like the perfect length, like they're like long and menacing and it look really dangerous.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_06]: Instead of like blocky salad choppers, like it's easy.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_03]: Do you think he has like a little cabinet, like a shotgun cabinet at home with like different size blades?
- 28:37[SPEAKER_03]: He's like, which one am I in the mood for today?
- 28:40[SPEAKER_03]: Which one goes with this outfit?
- 28:42[SPEAKER_04]: Right, what would I sing with?
- 28:45[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, we're gonna pause here to talk about the infamous RazerFist trading card.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_03]: This is the one with RazerFist in his black mask with like the collar and he's just all like rickling oil muscles and his legs are spread wide and he's got his blades like resting on opposite.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_03]: I'm picturing myself at like 12 collecting the trading cards and my mom walking by is like this one hits the top of the pile.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_04]: So yeah, right, you would definitely want to hide this from your mom and this was published this kind of wide distribution Yeah, but very little yeah recreate this look both of you.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_06]: I'm just saying if you So my plan for this was to recreate this trading card, but our the printer head on our 3D printer is impossibly jammed and we have to order a new one
- 29:32[SPEAKER_06]: And I just, I've been so busy with work that I didn't have time to sell it.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_06]: But like, I, I love this.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_06]: This is so my speed.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, it's like, it's like the cover of like, one of those like old porn movies.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_03]: Somehow, I don't know.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_03]: This is like the, the raunchy section of like the old gay, like leather store in like one of those old cities with the gay districts.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_03]: It's got like some name with the blood in the title.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_03]: Like, oh, it's just wow.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_04]: You guys.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_04]: It's nice.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_03]: I'll spit it on your blood if that is a wow.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_03]: Oh my god.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_04]: Avengers Spotlight, a group of weird supervillains were sent after Hawkeye, including the death throws.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_03]: This is, the death throws is an organized criminal group of jugglers.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_03]: Their juggler supervillains.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_03]: I love them.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, Death throws, Bobcat, and Bullet Biker, and more.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_04]: Among them, Razor Fist, uh, here in 1989, Razor Fist scares Hawkeye by dragging his blades against the walls.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_04]: Making a shing shing, shing sound.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, Archer, you look dog-tired.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_04]: Let me help you out by lighting your load.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe take an arm, or two.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_04]: And I appreciate you making it easy for me for that.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_04]: I'll make this a painful as possible But gets a bunch of dives and uh karate kicks before Hawkeye glues the two points of razor fist swords together Later mocking bird kicks razor fist in the face in her flancy outfit The fact that he got defeated by like his swords getting put in together and he's like Hey, like he still has eat well.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_03]: That's ridiculous
- 31:02[SPEAKER_06]: a lot of his dialogue gets like vaguely sexual like I want to finish him out even like let me lighten your load like it's it's so much oh god I didn't my notes uh he's in his his little black dolly mommy number the there's inconsistency with his blade links and girth which is a very unsettling to me
- 31:21[SPEAKER_06]: He was literally goop.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_06]: That's how he was defeated.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_06]: He was gooped, gooped, gagged, and whatever.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_06]: Whatever else a drag queen say, gooped, gagged, and something else.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_03]: He wants to sign seal and deliver your fat.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_03]: But now he's been here.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_03]: It was just, oh my goodness, this character's ridiculous.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_06]: But I did appreciate that he did not care about the bounty.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_06]: He just wanted the like, it was about principles for him.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_06]: It was, it was, it was a principles that he was after Hawkeye IV.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_03]: unpopular theory.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_03]: He finds Hawkeye very hot.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, so it's all in it's all in the penetrating arrows.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_06]: That's like really like up his alley.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_03]: He's like in tune like a little bit of like a skinny like mussely guy who's like trying a little too hard.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_03]: Right?
- 32:01[SPEAKER_03]: Is that his type when you read his dialogue through a lens of like fisting?
- 32:05[SPEAKER_03]: This is not for PG listeners, everyone, feel free to fast forward about 60 seconds if you don't like real r onto you with us.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_03]: When I was living Seattle, I went with some friends to it was like an amateur porn film festival.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_03]: Like you were eating popcorn and drinking wine, the whole pack theater, and we're watching like amateur porn on the screen.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_03]: I can't remember the name of the festival festival, something wrong, I don't know.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_03]: There was a whole video where I mean the camera effects had been reversed obviously.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_03]: But there was just this guy getting things pulled out of his ass.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_03]: So there were like, it was like a magician's handkerchief and then they'd like pop a ketchup bottle out of there and then like it would get increasingly bigger.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_03]: And whenever someone says fisting, that video comes to my mind and when it's sword arms, I'm just not okay.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_03]: You better help those cheats around, like, oh my god.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_03]: I don't have to be going to catch any on this show very often.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_03]: This is that episode, everybody.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_03]: So I think that's it.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_03]: See, how you do it over there?
- 33:03[SPEAKER_04]: I'm hanging on.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_04]: I'm hanging on by my sword fists.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_03]: My face is like, you sure are.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, we're gonna jump to Captain America 411412.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_03]: This is Mark Greenwall just having a fucking blast.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_03]: It's the AIM weapons expo, cross bones, who is his own conversation, is up on the stage and he has to enter like a tournament and fight a whole bunch of just random super villains.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_03]: But we get the character like, we get a sumo character tossed in, we get mad dog with tossed in.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_03]: Ramrod is tossed in Ramrod.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_03]: There are two ramrods.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_03]: There is an old ramrod that that Moon Dragon created.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_03]: Moon Dragon powered up the first ramrod and the second one with a nasty boys.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_04]: Even even that wording.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_04]: Moon Dragon powered up the ramrod.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and her Madam the Keeble days stay tuned for the trial of Moon Dragon and June on my show everyone.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_03]: Well, it's a journey.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_03]: So Crossbones has to fight razor fist on on this like boxing platform while the super villains watch and he asks the question We've all been wondering the whole time question for you raise I can see how those things would come in useful when you shave But how do you address yourself and he breaks one of the swords and defeats razor fist pretty easily But this is actually Captain America as cock as crossbones.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_03]: It's cap dressed as grass Excuse me.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sorry.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_03]: That was a crazy oversight
- 34:23[SPEAKER_04]: I've only read a few cross bones and that was in the, what, like, mid 2000s, thunderbolts, whenever, I think the cage, what thunderbolts, I've read in during that.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_03]: That's when they gave cross bones superpowers.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_03]: It's a weird story.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and then so that's what I'm familiar with him as, and I can leave him.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_04]: Most of the time I said, I could take him or leave him, I could leave him.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_06]: In Electra, number six, the architect has put a contract out on Electra, and Razor Fist is there to claim it.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_06]: the source are bigger to match electors boobs, she defeats him in like two hits.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_03]: This is this is the Diodato Electra who like her tits are enormous.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_03]: This is, yeah, this is Emma Frost, like children's book, lingerie, cover, era of comics.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_04]: I was trying to get who Diodato used as his reference for this Electra, because a lot of the times he uses actors and actresses as references.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_06]: notes on this episode where he is the campus villain and he gets his ass kicked again.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_06]: I get the appeal.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_06]: He's kind of hot in this, which he was.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_06]: And then it's his Spider-Man 81.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_06]: This is debuting a new look for Razor Fest.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_06]: He's in head to to Spandex, Lock and Yellow, and he has new cybernetic hands with sword attachments, which he was was probably pretty stoked about like having hands again.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_06]: he works with Shockwave to take the son of the cat call back to some Shang-Chi.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_06]: It takes the son of the cat hostage in order to force him out of an area in New York.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_06]: Once the kid is safe, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat
- 35:56[SPEAKER_04]: And then, that's, that's a very easy idea going with the next two Wolverine 167 Razer fist in a singlet, yep, bald, yep, but he's got an eye patch back with machetes for arms, but Zaron, the weapons master in the blood sport competition in Madreport.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_04]: Zaron stabbed Razer fist in the chest, leaving him for dead.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_03]: This is where Frank Teary's writing the book.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_03]: And a bunch of random characters get brought in to have like little quick fights.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_03]: And they're all at pre-star.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_03]: Four of them.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_03]: It's as neck broken by Anaconda.
- 36:26[SPEAKER_03]: Tell me, I think, dies here.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_03]: There's a, there's a couple crazy, like, what the fuck?
- 36:30[SPEAKER_03]: And again, blood sports.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_03]: So Razor fist is all over this.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_03]: Blood and sports.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_03]: But again, he apparently has lived because the next time we see him, it's a one cameo appearance in Deadline, where it's one of his best moments ever.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_04]: And Deadline 2, Razor Fist is at the bar with no name.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_04]: Holding a beer between its two stored arms, like that image is perfect.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_03]: How do you pick up a stine and bring it to your mouth?
- 36:56[SPEAKER_03]: God, I dropped another fucking beer and I'm thinking this shows.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_03]: Someone give this man a straw.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, my god.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't even think of that.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to jump to toxin.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_03]: This is a weird symbiotic character who has if you know venom and you know carnage toxin has a lot of history of marble as a character that a symbiotic gets used quite often but never very consistently and it's not one fondly remembered.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_03]: But they're really trying to make talks and happen here.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_03]: Talks and gets a six issue limited series written by Peter Milligan and Derek Robertson and Razor Fist has his biggest set of appearances ever.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_03]: Because in this series, he is one of the big bad guys.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_03]: He's a major villain for a symbiote.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_03]: Let's see.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_03]: After the amputation, you had prosthetic hands fitted.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_03]: Then you chose you actually chose to have them removed and replaced by those things.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_03]: Correct.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_03]: He's gets to recruit a whole group of children like disabled addicted mentally ill children to move into the sewer with him like more lock style and be his servants and acts like he's caring about them and he marks them with sword cuts across their chest.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_03]: This series is violent, he gets to like kill a whole bunch of dudes, there's blood spatter fucking everywhere.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_03]: He tells these kids, in exchange for the truth, I expect unflinching loyalty.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_03]: You felt your body being shredded, you felt the blades slicing into your flesh.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_03]: But the sharpness of my blades, the sureness of my touch means there's no blood.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_03]: There are no wounds.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_03]: So he can slice you so thin that unfortunately, I'm not always as careful with myself.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_03]: He says, you will need to work to be counted as one of my children.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_03]: He initiates one guy named Anton, cuts him, it gives him the basket of laundry to do.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_03]: And he's living in a super stinky sewer with corpses around.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_03]: And when he smells these, like, because it's decomposition, when he, he comments on the smell and says, I find it keeps me on my metal.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_03]: And after Rikers Island, the stench of decomposition is actually pretty fragrant.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_03]: I got a little slow in Rikers, reflexes is dulled.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_03]: So now I keep them well-honed.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_03]: Kat's found in the street, even a few street walkers, none get out.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_03]: So he tells one guy, I'm 250 pounds of sociopathic, rock hard, muscle, and razor.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_03]: What you're gonna do?
- 39:12[SPEAKER_03]: That's his grinder tagline.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_03]: Um, 200 pounds of sociopathic raw card muscle and razor and when you show up at his house, there's corpses on the ground and he wants to cut your chest and call you his boy.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_03]: And then they could do his laundry.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_03]: That's his goal.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_03]: He called Lewis.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_03]: Which is filtered and be a grinder.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_06]: Which is wild for me because he gives such bottom energy.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_06]: That is, that means it's not a top.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_03]: This guy's gross.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_03]: This is where again.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_03]: I kind of hit their leaning into the crazy, but he's gross.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_03]: Gross gross.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_03]: Why would anyone choose to follow this person into the series?
- 39:47[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_06]: And like this is the this was it was here that I like started really reconsidering my love for Razor Fest.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_06]: I was like, oh, maybe I don't know him that well.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_03]: TJ, would you join Razor Fiskeg?
- 40:00[SPEAKER_04]: Even though I am really good at laundry.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think so.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_03]: I think I would know.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_03]: So Pat Mulligan is the new toxin.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_03]: He's a kid.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_03]: He comes in, he's got a shirt tucked into his pants and Razor Fiskos might have guessed.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_03]: A guy who touches his shirt and he was lunged at pants.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_03]: I'm doing civilization a big favor by killing you.
- 40:17[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, we're gonna jump to issue three.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_03]: We're spurtin' around here, obviously.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_03]: Listen, I stood in under a kung fu master who by force of all could or rearrange his molecules into a bow tree.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_03]: Wow, that old man taught me the sound of one hand clapping.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_03]: I taught him to sound of no hands clapping.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_03]: But we get a close up on his bloodshot, red eyes.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_03]: The symbiotes says, say Mr. Razifist, how do you go to the bathroom?
- 40:39[SPEAKER_03]: It's been bugging me.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_03]: You want to take a leak?
- 40:41[SPEAKER_03]: How do you do it?
- 40:42[SPEAKER_03]: And he says, very, very carefully.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_03]: It was a 5-year-old.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_03]: I got it.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_03]: I got it.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_03]: Razor fist runs for it.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_03]: He slashes it a kid named Lulu, who's one of his kids.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_03]: They'll be plenty more desperate sad little losers to take your place, Lulu.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_03]: We see him cutting up some cops who like it, but it seems like for information.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_03]: They like come to him and want to be cut up.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_03]: And then he comes back and brings in toxin number six, where he goes after toxin's dad and basically beats this man to death and then runs for it.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_03]: We learned he's recruited more children.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_03]: and he plans to make more people pay him money to like not cut them and that's kind of where it ends for him.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_03]: There's some wild moments for this guy.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_03]: The sound of one hand clapping is both a famous song and a famous novel.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_03]: So there's like an album and a novel by this name.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_03]: So he's taking that and then just making it like the worst pun.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_03]: It's just read the title.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_03]: He didn't actually read the book.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he has no idea.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_03]: And then we have to talk about this random line of like he studied under a kung fu master who can rearrange his molecules.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_03]: What the fuck?
- 41:43[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, dude, who the fuck is that?
- 41:45[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_04]: And then he came into that with razor fists.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_04]: He could have, you know, he kind of had a lot of other things.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_03]: How do you pee?
- 41:50[SPEAKER_03]: Very, very carefully.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_03]: This single best moment for this character thus far in my opinion.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_06]: I do love there was a line in there.
- 41:58[SPEAKER_06]: Lulu was talking to Anton or somebody.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_06]: She's like, he calls himself razor fists.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_06]: What do you think he did terrible work for the homeless?
- 42:06[SPEAKER_01]: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
- 42:10[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, if you know what you're getting into, I suppose, and if you're into it.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, uh, dollars of the dragon, Razor Fist murdered the costume villain Frisor Burn, and his wife, both in front of their baby, then he threatened to kill the baby with the daughters of the dragon attack.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, there's a lot there.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_04]: And this guy claims to be a new guy, and also has a sword only on his right arm, then gets his ass kicked, the end.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_03]: So these are run was created specifically for this title.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_03]: They created a villain.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_03]: They killed him in his wife and for the baby.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_03]: And wow.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_04]: Civil War frontline race or fish is in prison with hooks on his arms as he has he has a touch with there's accessories.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah as he tries to film it in prison.
- 42:47[SPEAKER_06]: Daredevil.
- 42:47[SPEAKER_06]: Research this battle's Daredevil.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_06]: He then joins the Hood's Army, which is massive group of super villains.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_06]: They fight the Avengers and he's with the group for like 30 appearances.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_06]: he gets legitimized as part of the initiative under Norman Osborne for a while.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_06]: Then like we eventually have to siege and then in Captain America, siege, tie in, raise our fists, gets a pretty awesome.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_06]: One of the coolest battles he's had in a while.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_06]: He gets, there's a battle between him and then Captain America and Steve Rogers and Captain America.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_06]: Bucky Barnes and then he cuts a girl's throat.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, this guy, you know, he's got some words for us.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_04]: He doesn't do charitable work for the homeless.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_04]: X4, sex and violence.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_04]: Razor Fizz has a job for the Assassin's Guild and fights Wolverine's X4's.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_04]: He gets to Empail Wolverine.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_04]: I'm all here for it.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_04]: Who threatens to cut off Razor Fizz legs for new sorts so that he can go by Razor Legs.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_04]: That's good to talk with you.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_04]: By that point, if he had Razor Fizz and Arms, he would basically be a starfish.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_04]: Like, he could just like, you're going to kneel around.
- 43:43[SPEAKER_06]: He'd be shameless for him, family guy.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_03]: And also, I hear his nickname is Razor Deck.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_03]: It's all I'm saying.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_03]: Yep, totally.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_04]: And then X-Men is served from the text.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_04]: He's only in one panel, but Razor Fest gets to fight dazzler on her roller skates.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, this is crazy.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_03]: There's a roller derby.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_03]: And there's a man named the Chad Meister in this story, which I hate.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_06]: So stupid Wolverine number 17 through 19 the joins the black dragon tongue under the leadership of Jade Claw Which wow she is kind of horrible, but she is kind of raised with this team's up with sole striker dark striker and the rock of Buddha
- 44:23[SPEAKER_06]: And these are all none of what you do in, you know?
- 44:25[SPEAKER_06]: I was saying none of which I've ever heard of, like I originally were.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_06]: They fight Wolverine, Fat Cobra, who I was talking with.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_06]: And you're a little man.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_06]: They're dragons and Wolverine is like, didn't I kill you already?
- 44:34[SPEAKER_06]: And then their asses get kicked.
- 44:36[SPEAKER_03]: It's truly, there's not a lot to say here.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_03]: The rock of Buddha is a big old dude with like a necklace on.
- 44:43[SPEAKER_03]: That's basically what's going on here.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_03]: That cobra is an amazing character though.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_03]: I love that cobra.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_03]: I really like that cobra a lot actually.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_03]: A sole striker is an old shung chivalen who can like, oh, no, actually, these are the ones that were created for Wolverine Metaphys destiny.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_03]: My Jason Aaron, this guy can like channel your soul into like a name.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_03]: And then there's a guy named Fistofire, who has a good time with Razor Fist because that's like Rusty Collins, his his code name is Fire Fist, not to face you with that character.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_03]: But we jumped to Dudley Hansen Kung Fu, where Razor Fiskit's another big upgrade.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_03]: He gets to kill Laco, who is Shang-Chi's, like, long-term, like, spy girlfriend.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_03]: And he also gets to fight Shang-Chi.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_03]: Again, yelling things like, I wish I could say it's been an honor to meet again, but the only true honor really slicing off your limbs and setting fire to your torso.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_03]: And I'll cut that smile right off your face.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_03]: We also learned that he likes to go to brothels a lot, and he also gets his swords ripped out of his arms this time.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_03]: Not like Chopin,
- 45:40[SPEAKER_03]: When we jump to murks for money, Razerfist isn't some crowd shots, he's also in Deadpool, Gabe and Star Lord, infamous Iron Man, Invincible Iron Man, and Defenders, it's allhood army, shut shit.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_03]: In Deadpool assassin, he has pants on and like cyber enhancements to his prosthetics and the caption tells us, Razerfist, ironically, can't make a fist.
- 46:03[SPEAKER_03]: It's just so stupid and this character for a while was not complete before there's like very simple observation He fights things deadpool and gets to y'all things like I'm in a way you like a glove Use your flailing arms and legs like spirit fingers for the next parade and if that was not the fisting reference that you
- 46:21[SPEAKER_03]: Deadpool can take it though, my goodness.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_03]: Deadpool gets to say things like, how do you pick your nose?
- 46:27[SPEAKER_03]: And Deadpool doesn't chop his prosthetic off.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_03]: He actually chops up higher on Razor Fiss arms.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_03]: And then great Razor Fiss face against the trolley track.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_03]: Like, it's...
- 46:38[SPEAKER_03]: shockingly violent like there's blood spatter picture like running full speed and then having your face drug-wobbing pressed out against like concrete and that's the thing with your truly truly insanely violent story and then I'm going to just wrap up the razor fist off of the let's pause it to talk about it
- 46:54[SPEAKER_03]: Razor Fist is in Domino 4 and 5, the Gil Simone book, where he's part of a ninja bad guy group that gets to fight Domino and Shang-Chi and they are fucking Domino and Shang-Chi are.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_03]: He's back in Shang-Chi and the 10 Rings, the series, number one and four, where he just looks crazy.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_03]: It's like full body leather, except like bare arms, but also he has a beard here, so we're taking after Florida and a full head hair that's like poking out the top of his head like gambit style.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_03]: Shang-Chi kicks his ass twice.
- 47:19[SPEAKER_06]: He also was roling knives.
- 47:21[SPEAKER_06]: Why does he have to ring knives?
- 47:23[SPEAKER_06]: He's got no hands, that blew my mind.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_03]: And it was back in, finally, most recently, just a few months ago.
- 47:29[SPEAKER_03]: Iron fist 50th anniversary special where he has, like, blood spikes on his arms, and also he gets possessed, but also it was a dream.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_03]: So the end for the guy.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_03]: There is some crazy shit for Razor Fist.
- 47:40[SPEAKER_03]: What do you love about this character?
- 47:42[SPEAKER_04]: I love that it's just so bad shit crazy.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_04]: Like I said, sometimes I'll just take him so seriously.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_04]: But as a reader, you look at it and this is wild.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_04]: Like there's suspension of disbelief.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_04]: And then there's razor fist.
- 47:56[SPEAKER_04]: And then other times like Deadpool and you know the other people ask you know how he uses the bathroom and stuff.
- 48:01[SPEAKER_04]: And so they kind of break that tension.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_06]: Like if here's high camp, here is razor fist.
- 48:06[SPEAKER_06]: Like he's so, so ridiculous.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_06]: And so.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_06]: gay coded and not just gay coded like it really is is mind blowing that this like reading stuff that he did inside and like the 70s and 80s is like is is absolutely hilarious because I feel like he was probably back then at least like probably meant to be taken kind of seriously and I don't know if we're just completely disincentized to it now but there's nothing
- 48:39[SPEAKER_03]: So my favorite thing about this character is the camp, obviously.
- 48:43[SPEAKER_03]: He's very silly and it's very fun to just see him get his ass kicked by a hero.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_03]: He has not given any rich interior world, but here's where I'm going to go very serious for just a minute.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_03]: We in the queer community have a long history of like kinky sex and leather.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_03]: There is a
- 48:59[SPEAKER_03]: Hanky codes, there are like back alley bars with like a basement where people are getting fucked in the back room.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_03]: Go visit an eagle in 1975, and you will find raise a fist there, but also like 30 years later.
- 49:12[SPEAKER_03]: This is the bathhouse pre-aids era, like no holds barred.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_03]: So the Hanky holds barred.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, hold, hold, hold, hold, hold, hold, hold, hold, hold, hold, hold.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_03]: The hanky code, and we don't talk about this on the show a lot, but a lot of queer culture, gay sex is so taboo that queer people have had to find their own places to celebrate sex, had a sexual sex to celebrate it everywhere, particularly for men who sexualize everything, but for gay men it had to be in the shadows.
- 49:37[SPEAKER_03]: So it is bathhouses, it is private clubs, it is spaces where people could like go in anonymous and try to have some fun and
- 49:47[SPEAKER_03]: As the therapist in Salt Lake City, I work a lot with the kinky sex community, not doing work related to kinky sex, but I have a supportive understanding therapy practice.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_03]: So if you are a person who wears a dog collar or you're into wearing diapers and you want to come talk to me, I'm not going to judge you and we're going to talk about it.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_03]: And everybody has their kink.
- 50:04[SPEAKER_03]: If you join a site like fat life, there's all these like Westerners, you can take about kinky sex and you like figure out what your stuff is.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_03]: I'm in the domination or being tied up or diaper player or whatever it is, right?
- 50:16[SPEAKER_03]: We also have historically the queer culture of the hanky code, which is where you put a hanky of a certain color or pattern in a certain pocket, and you walk down the street, and it was a way to symbol to other men, particularly in large metropolis, as we're a lot of gay people living.
- 50:32[SPEAKER_03]: what you might be into.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_03]: I'm a pretty vanilla guy, but there are lots of like you wear a green hanky in a certain pocket and it means you're a hustler.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_03]: You wear a gray hanky.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_03]: It means you're in the bondage.
- 50:42[SPEAKER_03]: Red is for fisting, which is a really uncomfortable like color coordination.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_03]: Yellow is for piss.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_03]: purple is for piercing.
- 50:50[SPEAKER_03]: So this is people who enjoy being pierced.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_03]: There's certain colors for pegging and bondage and brown is for scat.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_03]: And you guys, this is all stuff that I am not into.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_03]: I also don't judge, but also I'm a little bit vanilla and I don't always want to hear about it.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_03]: But Razor Fist has like four hankies hanging out as backpockets.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_03]: There's a red yellow brown and purple at the very least probably gray maybe black, which is the SNM I don't know there's so literally black Here's some like Here's our rope coming out Yeah, this is like this is like the edge of horn right like I worked with
- 51:30[SPEAKER_03]: clients as therapeutically, I work with clients who enjoy setting up scenes.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_03]: Again, not in my office, but we talk about it.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_03]: How can I safely enjoy?
- 51:38[SPEAKER_03]: Because one of the biggest heterosexual kinks is rape play.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_03]: Even though people don't like to talk about it domination is a huge piece.
- 51:45[SPEAKER_03]: So for people to set up a scene particularly if you're a woman, you need to make sure you're safe and you have safe words and you're doing the right things.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_03]: So people will come in and be like, how can I do this?
- 51:53[SPEAKER_03]: People enjoy being flawed.
- 51:55[SPEAKER_03]: or having knife play where they're even not pierced but like gently cut during sex, which if you're re-aducting, it's a dangerous thing, but if it's a kinky thing you like, just make sure you are safe, safe, safe, safe, safe, safe.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_03]: Razor fist, go to a class, go to a class.
- 52:09[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, there's classes, there are classes, there are classes.
- 52:12[SPEAKER_03]: You can read, there's all kinds of reach out if you need some support.
- 52:14[SPEAKER_03]: I'm a pretty vanilla guy myself.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_03]: However, this is a huge part of queer culture.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_03]: And Razor fist weirdly kind of captures all of that,
- 52:21[SPEAKER_03]: in a way that like all of my heterosexual listeners are like, well, maybe I'm really thinking my subscription to grandma again, because I had an education just now that I was not sure I needed.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_03]: Do you guys have thoughts on queer culture and kind of kinky sex in its correlation?
- 52:34[SPEAKER_06]: I'm quite a kinky person.
- 52:36[SPEAKER_06]: I will not go into all the detail.
- 52:37[SPEAKER_06]: You can you can follow my old bands if you want more details on it.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_06]: But I totally get it.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_06]: There's a fascination with the taboo.
- 52:45[SPEAKER_06]: And you want to experience these things that you're not supposed to, that you've been told your whole life they're wrong, they're wrong.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_06]: And sometimes, you know, they are like, like, you know, rap is wrong.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_06]: But whatever, like, whenever it's like rap play, you call it rap is wrong.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_03]: But rap fantasy, it acted in safe.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_06]: He says, okay.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.
- 53:04[SPEAKER_06]: It's a, I think they prefer the term ravaging.
- 53:08[SPEAKER_06]: No, it's something that my partner said.
- 53:10[SPEAKER_06]: Let's say, but there's, like, there's definitely something to be said about like, you, I grew up in the middle of nowhere, kind of like Texas country on a ranch.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_06]: And you're, you know, imaginations run wild when you're by yourself, like I get it.
- 53:24[SPEAKER_06]: And everybody's got, everybody's got kings.
- 53:26[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody, everybody, everybody, everybody, even trust me.
- 53:29[SPEAKER_03]: And then people, if you look at people's porn history,
- 53:33[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, it's a really important part of queer history and culture because like those are things that like because we we you know we were told that we were wrong we were abominations really yeah well fucking show you learn abominations And if you go to it if you go to any established queer city or city that has a queer neighborhood Chicago Seattle New York
- 53:55[SPEAKER_03]: There's going to be clubs even now in the days where a lot of these clubs have shut down.
- 53:59[SPEAKER_03]: There's still clubs like the eagle where the decor is like penis wallpaper.
- 54:04[SPEAKER_03]: And the it's like it the whole place kind of smells like a urinal.
- 54:07[SPEAKER_03]: And there's a whole weird dark room in the basement.
- 54:10[SPEAKER_03]: Gay raves still have this piece of culture.
- 54:12[SPEAKER_03]: Again, I'm a dad.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm also a local professional.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_03]: So I don't have a reason.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_03]: But it is an absolute part of the queer culture that gay people don't often want to see it.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, this might be a poor correlation.
- 54:23[SPEAKER_04]: I was going to say it's like basking robins, 31 flavors there.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_04]: And that might be a stretch, but hang on with me.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_04]: Hang on a second.
- 54:30[SPEAKER_04]: It's something for everybody.
- 54:31[SPEAKER_04]: And then sometimes you don't know what you like until you sample it.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_04]: You get that little purple spoon, basket robins and you try it because like you said, if I'm semi vanilla, we won't go too far into it.
- 54:44[SPEAKER_04]: But if somebody suggests something, you don't really know, like some stuff, you know, you are definitely not four, but you might have a wondering in your mind.
- 54:54[SPEAKER_04]: And then so you try out different things at the basket robins.
- 54:57[SPEAKER_03]: At my office, I work a lot with the trans community, a lot with queer community, and I really emphasize consent of course, and education, of course.
- 55:05[SPEAKER_03]: The two things I'm always challenging people on are number one contracting.
- 55:09[SPEAKER_03]: Like, what is it you're looking for?
- 55:11[SPEAKER_03]: Where are your boundaries?
- 55:13[SPEAKER_03]: Who has agreed to them?
- 55:14[SPEAKER_03]: And then second, what I call moral scaling.
- 55:16[SPEAKER_03]: Don't judge somebody because they do it differently than you, or because they're not into the same things as you.
- 55:21[SPEAKER_03]: But it's okay to let yourself experiment in safe ways as long as you have after care as well.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_03]: So there's the therapy hat in the kinky sex world for everybody.
- 55:30[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_06]: And if there's if there is like for those of you out there who might have kinks that you want to explore and you do not don't know how to do it find find a sex worker find someone who specializes in that so that you can lay out specifically what it is that you want to do what you want to try and then you you are giving yourself a safe environment to to participate in those acts.
- 55:52[SPEAKER_03]: or there are Facebook, yeah, in local community events.
- 55:56[SPEAKER_03]: If you're in a bigger city, but I think you can put people online.
- 55:59[SPEAKER_03]: However, if you show up and this man has sword arms, I don't think you should stay.
- 56:05[SPEAKER_04]: a safe partner is, you know, highly important is really important because, you know, do your research, like you said, and if you are wondering about certain things, you have somebody dip your toe in, get that little test scoop.
- 56:20[SPEAKER_03]: So now I'm just picturing razor physics that will little purple spoons instead of so far.
- 56:24[SPEAKER_03]: I'm holding at the tip of his machete hands.
- 56:27[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, my second point on razor fist very quickly is this man is a character with a disability.
- 56:32[SPEAKER_03]: Whether he chose it or not, he's a kickass fighter and I am always here to support people living their best lives with their disabilities.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_03]: He is making a living and he is doing it in dirty ways and you know what, pat on the back buddy and you're a little single it with your wedgie.
- 56:46[SPEAKER_03]: I am here for you, but here's the third thing about razor fist.
- 56:49[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, in what ways would you like to see this character explored?
- 56:52[SPEAKER_03]: I do not need any rich backstory.
- 56:54[SPEAKER_03]: A single like couple lines about the triplets training together would be kind of funny.
- 56:59[SPEAKER_03]: I like when he's made fun of.
- 57:00[SPEAKER_03]: I like when he gets his swords glued together.
- 57:02[SPEAKER_03]: I even liked it when Deadpool hacked his elbows off, but I didn't like it when they dragged his face on the subway track.
- 57:08[SPEAKER_03]: That was a little bit of a memory.
- 57:10[SPEAKER_03]: So do you want him to just go through it off?
- 57:12[SPEAKER_03]: You guys remember Garrison came with an ex who could like shoot his fists at people?
- 57:16[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 57:16[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I don't know.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_03]: It's kind of what Razor Fist had like, a sword that like shoots and there's like a, there's like a rope that comes out of his arm and he can yank it back.
- 57:23[SPEAKER_03]: Like there's some fun ways to, there's some fun ways to upgrade this character.
- 57:26[SPEAKER_03]: Like, given like lightsaber arms, given like, like, I want to see him fight corsair with like an energy sword arm.
- 57:33[SPEAKER_03]: What are some ways you'd like to see him explore or like upgraded that could be fun?
- 57:36[SPEAKER_04]: I would like to have him be dissected at the waist and get this cybernetic thing at his waist and this I think this is a thunder cat to Dylan actually like he can spin at the waist like a tornado and then just like be the inside of a blender and like spin around with his swords going around if that's not a thunder cat to fill in it is most certainly a human villain.
- 57:56[SPEAKER_03]: Oh goodness razor fist versus fist though.
- 57:59[SPEAKER_03]: That's a human.
- 58:00[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 58:01[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 58:03[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, any upgrades you want to see for Razor Fist?
- 58:05[SPEAKER_06]: I don't like Razor Fist when he's like, who overdone?
- 58:08[SPEAKER_06]: Like, there was, there was a moment in somewhere in here where he went a little steam punk and I was like, well, this is kind of a weird look for you.
- 58:15[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, everyone's like trying to find themselves.
- 58:17[SPEAKER_06]: I get it.
- 58:18[SPEAKER_06]: I just don't think that was his luck.
- 58:19[SPEAKER_06]: My favorite Razor Fist is the long, thin, menacing, saber-like swords and like the ir-incand accent silver body suit.
- 58:29[SPEAKER_06]: That is, I want him looking like a roof off ill or queen for the rest of time.
- 58:35[SPEAKER_03]: Miss, this guy, I don't know, you give him like a steady job and I don't think his life changes at all.
- 58:42[SPEAKER_03]: I think this is the most up human.
- 58:44[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's brave and the insanity of him just murdering people in front of their babies and like slicing children to do his laundry in the sewer.
- 58:54[SPEAKER_03]: I, you know what, I go, go, go buddy, you like you live, you live your best life, you do you and we'll let Wolverine and like slice he in half once in a while.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_03]: You slept strong and you ended strong and I'm here for you next time.
- 59:05[SPEAKER_06]: You show up in your slutty little talk room of your student sword arms like let's let's stop off and maybe stop off and see Docsams and you know once twice a month.
- 59:15[SPEAKER_03]: You're name is Douglas Scott the Razor Fist like this guy has put them like white Ivy League kid who just like you know they're so much shitty about this character.
- 59:24[SPEAKER_06]: He's literally fairly studied in China with a master of
- 59:31[SPEAKER_03]: But she's a truly abysmal character.
- 59:34[SPEAKER_03]: I often end these saying, I love this character.
- 59:36[SPEAKER_03]: I want to write this character.
- 59:37[SPEAKER_03]: I only want to write this character getting his ass kicked.
- 59:39[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah.
- 59:40[SPEAKER_03]: Victor goes to a gay bar and he looks in one of the bath house rooms and razor fist is in there.
- 59:45[SPEAKER_03]: And he goes and nope.
- 59:47[SPEAKER_03]: Like he thinks then Shatterstar jumps over a shoulder all four.
- 59:50[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to say he has.
- 59:52[SPEAKER_03]: There's got swords.
- 59:53[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to call Shatterstar because he can hold his arm on this side I'm not I'm not going in there.
- 59:59[SPEAKER_05]: I need a healing factor if I'm going to go with it
- 1:00:07[SPEAKER_03]: All right, we're gonna wrap up everybody.
- 1:00:09[SPEAKER_03]: I hope you had an education.
- 1:00:10[SPEAKER_03]: We will put a disclaimer on this episode because it's made me into one.
- 1:00:15[SPEAKER_03]: So far, the smart episode has been the dirtiest, but this one might be dirtier than the smart episode.
- 1:00:19[SPEAKER_03]: I think we went there.
- 1:00:20[SPEAKER_03]: So thank DJ and Kenny for taking that right with me.
- 1:00:22[SPEAKER_03]: We're gonna put that on the Patreon on May 14th.
- 1:00:24[SPEAKER_03]: The next episode, following this on the Patreon, is a much tamaride into one of my favorite supporting characters, the incredible Alladis Forester.
- 1:00:31[SPEAKER_03]: The only character who had to have fucked both cyclops and Magneto, she's that like ship captain Oh yeah, I love her.
- 1:00:38[SPEAKER_03]: And then over on the main show, watch out for the trial of Jamie Maddrux, the multiple mad, which I'm very very excited about Where can people find you both online and is there anything you would like to plug?
- 1:00:48[SPEAKER_03]: Let's go TJ and then Kenny, okay?
- 1:00:50[SPEAKER_06]: You can find me at gravel road cosplay on Instagram.
- 1:00:54[SPEAKER_06]: You can find me on Instagram at cancrest.
- 1:00:57[SPEAKER_06]: You can find my links to various websites at my link to my Instagram.
- 1:01:04[SPEAKER_03]: I love how shy you're being right now after this discussion.
- 1:01:07[SPEAKER_06]: I have a little website.
- 1:01:09[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you, Pinkie.
- 1:01:10[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you, I'm full.
- 1:01:11[SPEAKER_06]: But now my website is genderrilla.com.
- 1:01:15[SPEAKER_03]: prepared a little game for us to play that we just didn't need.
- 1:01:18[SPEAKER_03]: I was going to ask you questions like would you rather have feather hands or banana hands?
- 1:01:22[SPEAKER_03]: But we just don't need to go there.
- 1:01:23[SPEAKER_03]: Like RazorFist did everything we need.
- 1:01:25[SPEAKER_03]: It's not all they needed.
- 1:01:28[SPEAKER_03]: So thank you both for taking this kinky sex ride with me today.
- 1:01:31[SPEAKER_03]: I had a good time.
- 1:01:33[SPEAKER_03]: Thanks everyone for listening.
- 1:01:34[SPEAKER_03]: We'll see you back here next time on the Graham ultimately in Patreon.
- 1:01:37[SPEAKER_03]: And now stay tuned for some thoughts on fascism, as a special guest tonight talked about a red skull story, and its modern applications.
- 1:01:47[SPEAKER_03]: In the years after World War I, it all Hitler quickly made a name for himself in the volatile political climate of Munich Germany.
- 1:01:55[SPEAKER_03]: As a fiery speaker for the German Workers' Party, which was later renamed the Nazi Party, he thrived on disruption and confrontation,
- 1:02:03[SPEAKER_03]: His speeches were full of vitriol against the Treaty of Versailles, against Jews, against communists.
- 1:02:11[SPEAKER_03]: He would stoke unrest in beer halls and draw crowds, disillusioned people, who would then go on to hold rallies and disrupt other rallies that were not sharing their same beliefs.
- 1:02:22[SPEAKER_03]: These rallies weren't just political gatherings, they were flashpoints that frequently erupted into violence.
- 1:02:26[SPEAKER_03]: A clear sign of the growing threat that Hitler posed to the public order.
- 1:02:31[SPEAKER_03]: The first time it off Hitler was arrested was in 1921.
- 1:02:35[SPEAKER_03]: If you recall he did not rise to power until 1933.
- 1:02:37[SPEAKER_03]: He was arrested after his faction staged a violent clash with a rival political meeting in Munich.
- 1:02:44[SPEAKER_03]: The event demonstrated Hitler's growing ability to incite chaos, but he served only a brief sentence.
- 1:02:56[SPEAKER_03]: For those of you that have been listening to these episodes, I referenced the blood flag in a previous episode.
- 1:03:00[SPEAKER_03]: That's where this came from.
- 1:03:03[SPEAKER_03]: But this was a failed coup to seize power and the coup ended in bloodshed as the cops opened fire.
- 1:03:09[SPEAKER_03]: And a lot of Hitler's compatriots were killed at the time in this, and Hitler was arrested.
- 1:03:15[SPEAKER_03]: This time he served a five-year prison sentence for treason, which of course, later was his kind of clarion call because this really announced him on a national stage.
- 1:03:25[SPEAKER_03]: This public arrest really brought a lot of people to him that weren't in his favor before.
- 1:03:30[SPEAKER_03]: While he was in prison is when he wrote the infamous and terrible book, MindComp.
- 1:03:35[SPEAKER_03]: In these books, pages of this book, he spelled out a political strategy that combined aggressive nationalism, racial purity, and the need for authoritarian control, principles that would become the bedrock of the Nazi ideology.
- 1:03:48[SPEAKER_03]: He also emphasized the power of propaganda and mass rallies making it clear that the emotional manipulation would be crucial to his movement as well as national policy.
- 1:03:58[SPEAKER_03]: In my comp, it's really poorly written, truly.
- 1:04:01[SPEAKER_03]: I read snippets, it's bad.
- 1:04:02[SPEAKER_03]: But it was initially dismissed by many and ended up gaining traction among Hitler's supporters and then grew in circulation as the Nazi party expanded.
- 1:04:11[SPEAKER_03]: What began as the ranting of a French agitator soon became a blueprint for Germany's darkest chapter.
- 1:04:17[SPEAKER_03]: His early arrests meant to silence him instead of giving him that platform and credibility among the radicals, transforming him from a rabble rouser on the fringes to a political figure with a dangerous and lasting influence.
- 1:04:29[SPEAKER_03]: Now we're going to jump back to the world of Mark Greenwald in Captain America 387 through a 394.
- 1:04:35[SPEAKER_03]: I'll continue this story directly into our next episode.
- 1:04:39[SPEAKER_03]: But this is where the Red Skull is back, and he opens a private supper club, which he calls the Mask Club, where supervillains can go hang out and enjoy a fine dining experience, so long as they have a mask on, and it's the one place he doesn't have to wear a mask, because his face looks like a Red Skull.
- 1:04:54[SPEAKER_03]: So, Skull has a private dinner with mother night, and Baron Struker, who wonders at the Red Skull being bold enough to dine out in open with no mask on.
- 1:05:03[SPEAKER_03]: What's the sense in being rich and evil if you cannot indulge your whims every now and then, says the Red Skull.
- 1:05:10[SPEAKER_03]: After he scolds Mother Night for calling him dear in public, the Red Skull receives word that someone has destroyed his two spare clone bodies that Arnazzola had been keeping for him.
- 1:05:21[SPEAKER_03]: So the red skull assembles his new operative team.
- 1:05:23[SPEAKER_03]: This is a super villain group called the Skeleton crew.
- 1:05:26[SPEAKER_03]: I actually really love this team.
- 1:05:27[SPEAKER_03]: It's really terrible, but I like it a lot.
- 1:05:29[SPEAKER_03]: We have Mother Night, Crossbones, Machine Smith, and the old Nazi sleeper robot.
- 1:05:34[SPEAKER_03]: Who is out there gunning for me, Magneto?
- 1:05:37[SPEAKER_03]: He supposedly dead.
- 1:05:38[SPEAKER_03]: The Kingpin, he wouldn't dare venture out of his territory.
- 1:05:41[SPEAKER_03]: Dr. Doom, we've maintained cold war civility since my resurrection, then who?
- 1:05:47[SPEAKER_03]: Everyone out of two hates me has too many scruples to go out and murder my unborn clones.
- 1:05:51[SPEAKER_03]: This is maddening.
- 1:05:53[SPEAKER_03]: I am the red scorer, the most dangerous human being on earth, who would dare risk my wrath.
- 1:05:57[SPEAKER_03]: How horrible must I be to make the whole world quake at the very mention of my name, poor guy.
- 1:06:03[SPEAKER_03]: So, five new guys, a top assassins trained by the task master, are hired to dress like Captain America to go fight the red skull in his little red underwear.
- 1:06:13[SPEAKER_03]: this is a running team for this character.
- 1:06:15[SPEAKER_03]: So he murders all five of them who are dressed like Captain America with his bare hands.
- 1:06:20[SPEAKER_03]: All the crunch of cartilage, the breaking of bones, it's been too long since I've been able to indulge myself like this.
- 1:06:26[SPEAKER_03]: He kills four of the men while bragging about the super soldier derivative in his veins and the fifth then teleports him away.
- 1:06:34[SPEAKER_03]: Turns out it was a trap.
- 1:06:36[SPEAKER_03]: So the red skull wakes up bound, still in his underwear,
- 1:06:39[SPEAKER_03]: As again, and helped man Doichland stands in front of him in the colors of the modern German flag.
- 1:06:44[SPEAKER_03]: Your uninvestment to the German people, he says.
- 1:06:47[SPEAKER_03]: You're a symbol of Nazism, our shame for past.
- 1:06:50[SPEAKER_03]: Enter we have purged ourselves of you.
- 1:06:51[SPEAKER_03]: The world will never let us live down that in no ignoble period of history.
- 1:06:55[SPEAKER_03]: And the Red Skull replies, if you had done the intelligence work you claimed you'd known that I no longer espoused the old ways.
- 1:07:01[SPEAKER_03]: I have transcended Nazism.
- 1:07:03[SPEAKER_03]: They're sure as little dream I have my own agenda of nihilism.
- 1:07:07[SPEAKER_03]: But the world still associates you with Naziism, says Halbtsman, Deutschland.
- 1:07:11[SPEAKER_03]: No matter what you wish to label your special philosophy, no one can escape his past-air Schmidt.
- 1:07:17[SPEAKER_03]: Well, it turns out the Halbtsman works for, with two other superheroes called Blitz Krieg, and there's a guy named Times Spirit, and both of these are really obscure Marvel characters.
- 1:07:25[SPEAKER_03]: Go look them up.
- 1:07:26[SPEAKER_03]: And they have a group called the Schultz-Hilagrupa, which translates to the group of protecting saints, or basically the league of guardian angels, and the skeleton crew attacks, and they also get neutralized.
- 1:07:37[SPEAKER_03]: So jumping forward, we now get the red skull in a bathrobe, he's seated with straps on his wrists, ankles, and waist, as he is blindfolded and gagged, and his whole team has been captured with him, and they're presented to the German public for an unauthorized public trial.
- 1:07:52[SPEAKER_03]: The man in charge is pleased, you have done your nation a great service bringing in this detested war criminal and his collaborators.
- 1:07:59[SPEAKER_03]: Considering how dangerous these people are, we will begin the trial this very night.
- 1:08:03[SPEAKER_03]: The prosecutors are ready, now they need to interview the captives to set up a defense.
- 1:08:07[SPEAKER_03]: But the red school merely says, I do not recognize the validity of these proceedings.
- 1:08:10[SPEAKER_03]: I have nothing to say to you.
- 1:08:11[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, the halpedman says, let me get something straight, Schmidt.
- 1:08:15[SPEAKER_03]: You have no possible means of escape.
- 1:08:17[SPEAKER_03]: Your lackeys of an orbit incapacitated same as you within the next 24 hours, you will be executed and Germany can live down your misdeeds.
- 1:08:24[SPEAKER_03]: So hours later, he's still strapped in the chair, which is also an electric chair.
- 1:08:27[SPEAKER_03]: Like we could try you and then just kill you, which is kind of smart with this guy, frankly.
- 1:08:32[SPEAKER_03]: Schmidt is put before the camera for his trial, but machinesmith has broken free and very soon the red skull is freed as well.
- 1:08:39[SPEAKER_03]: The skeleton crew holds hostages.
- 1:08:41[SPEAKER_03]: Red Skull then claims he is not the original.
- 1:08:44[SPEAKER_03]: He has different fingerprints because he's in a cloned body of Captain America.
- 1:08:49[SPEAKER_03]: So then the Avengers attack, Thor, Captain America, and Iron Man are here to escort them away, but surprise, it's actually not the Avengers.
- 1:08:55[SPEAKER_03]: It's Arnhem Zola piloting some meat puppets.
- 1:08:58[SPEAKER_03]: So the Red Skull is now free again.
- 1:09:00[SPEAKER_03]: They blow up the ship, they've left behind, hoping to kill any innocent subord.
- 1:09:04[SPEAKER_03]: And back in Washington, D.C., dressed in a green suit.
- 1:09:07[SPEAKER_03]: The red skull decides to close up his offices later when his body is found with a bullet in its head.
- 1:09:13[SPEAKER_03]: With the phrase, justice is served, written on the wall in blood.
- 1:09:17[SPEAKER_03]: It looks like the scourge has strapped again.
- 1:09:19[SPEAKER_03]: Finally, they find the corpses of Mother Night and Crossbones as well, and they summon the FBI, and they find video surveillance of the Scourge, he scourged killing the group.
- 1:09:27[SPEAKER_03]: But of course it's all a group, all the rules.
- 1:09:29[SPEAKER_03]: The corpses are all meat puppets.
- 1:09:31[SPEAKER_03]: The video footage was created by Machinesmith.
- 1:09:33[SPEAKER_03]: So Red Skull retires to a private Shale in the Rocky Mountains.
- 1:09:37[SPEAKER_03]: He calls Mother Night his girlfriend a stupid sow, and then he has meetings with members of all the groups that he's sponsoring.
- 1:09:43[SPEAKER_03]: The Watch Dogs.
- 1:09:45[SPEAKER_03]: The Resistance.
- 1:09:46[SPEAKER_03]: His daughter.
- 1:09:47[SPEAKER_03]: Sin is here, the power broker, the secret Empire, the Taskmaster, Arnhem Zola, Baron Strucker, Minister Blood, these are all terrible people.
- 1:09:56[SPEAKER_03]: He takes their quarterly reports and he kills the scourge in the room for being ineffective.
- 1:10:01[SPEAKER_03]: And later he rants.
- 1:10:02[SPEAKER_03]: None of these forces doing enough to whip this wretched world into submission.
- 1:10:06[SPEAKER_03]: I need new blood, someone in my organization willing to take risks, try new things,
- 1:10:10[SPEAKER_03]: Mother Night tries to bring him some coffee, offers him a shoulder massage, and he spits it out, and orders it to wipe it off the floor.
- 1:10:16[SPEAKER_03]: Now wipe up that mess, wipe, wipe, wipe,
- 1:10:21[SPEAKER_03]: So the red skull orders the skeleton crew to break Viper out of prison, this is Madam Hydra, and when crossbones questions in red skull fires, crossbones, like you're fucking out of here, get out.
- 1:10:30[SPEAKER_03]: So soon the Viper is brought before him, freed from prison, Madam Viper, you pull a thing to see the way the government treats the gifted.
- 1:10:37[SPEAKER_03]: Is it any wonder we both see overthrow?
- 1:10:40[SPEAKER_03]: I am, of course, the red skull, and I offer you the opportunity to fulfill your wireless nihilistic fantasies.
- 1:10:46[SPEAKER_03]: We'll continue this story next time.
- 1:10:48[SPEAKER_03]: But I know this was a crazy world to jump into.
- 1:10:50[SPEAKER_03]: Let me welcome my dear friend, Don't You In A Conday Back To The Show.
- 1:10:54[SPEAKER_03]: Don't You In Are You A Red Skull Fan.
- 1:10:55[SPEAKER_00]: Who are you?
- 1:10:58[SPEAKER_03]: want to be.
- 1:11:01[SPEAKER_03]: What was it like for you to jump into this crazy world of Captain America?
- 1:11:05[SPEAKER_03]: There's a lot happening.
- 1:11:06[SPEAKER_03]: I know I threw you into the deep end here.
- 1:11:08[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 1:11:09[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot there's a lot happening.
- 1:11:10[SPEAKER_00]: Crazy indeed.
- 1:11:12[SPEAKER_00]: Crazy indeed.
- 1:11:13[SPEAKER_00]: I I I was I don't know.
- 1:11:15[SPEAKER_00]: I laughed.
- 1:11:15[SPEAKER_00]: I sighed.
- 1:11:16[SPEAKER_00]: I gasped every person was just on the table for me.
- 1:11:19[SPEAKER_03]: Crazy crazy individual the red skulls often a bit player.
- 1:11:22[SPEAKER_03]: This is Grunwald treating him like he's getting time every issue Like we're taking this character very seriously, and he's the worst.
- 1:11:29[SPEAKER_03]: He's the worst one.
- 1:11:30[SPEAKER_00]: That's crazy.
- 1:11:31[SPEAKER_00]: Also, I wanted to ask before we get into anything Do you read your kids bedtime stories?
- 1:11:37[SPEAKER_03]: I used to, they don't want to hear of anymore.
- 1:11:39[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, really?
- 1:11:40[SPEAKER_00]: Do you, do you, do you want to do the voice acting theme soon?
- 1:11:43[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, I used to, I used to do a lot of theater, but yeah, I hope you enjoyed my terrible German accent.
- 1:11:48[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, terrible?
- 1:11:50[UNKNOWN]: Really?
- 1:11:50[SPEAKER_03]: My, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my,
- 1:12:03[SPEAKER_00]: a whimsical, I guess, you know, from a visual perspective, I really like every character that I saw in this book, very interesting take.
- 1:12:11[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think we would go down around today, but I like what I saw, I like what I saw.
- 1:12:16[SPEAKER_03]: So a legit question from the red skull to you, don't you?
- 1:12:20[SPEAKER_03]: What's the sense of being rich and evil if you cannot indulge your whims every now and then?
- 1:12:23[SPEAKER_00]: Ah, funny.
- 1:12:24[SPEAKER_00]: You'd see that because I took a screenshot of that
- 1:12:28[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 1:12:30[SPEAKER_00]: I think the way views the world is just interesting to me.
- 1:12:34[SPEAKER_00]: And I want to get to know his backstory.
- 1:12:36[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think I know his backstory.
- 1:12:38[SPEAKER_00]: Any idea.
- 1:12:39[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, it's very unpleasant.
- 1:12:41[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, there's a whole there's there's large sections of backstory for him actually.
- 1:12:45[SPEAKER_03]: He comes from his backstory really reflects the backstory of Adolf Hitler in a lot of ways.
- 1:12:50[SPEAKER_03]: So it comes from a very weird home where like his mother died and his father committed suicide, and he was like a starving crazy person on the street before Hitler took him under his wing and took him and turned him into like an evil man.
- 1:13:01[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, that's the short version, but it's a really dark story actually, and really parallels the life of Adolf Hitler directly.
- 1:13:08[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm getting to that.
- 1:13:08[SPEAKER_03]: He's like, he'd love to open.
- 1:13:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's like, he's like Hitler's boyfriend.
- 1:13:16[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, it is a master manipulator because when we get to the part where the Avengers come in and stop the public hearing and everything, I literally thought that the Avengers are come to save the day only for me to see that they were like, meets, meets, puppets and everything.
- 1:13:31[SPEAKER_00]: That was fantastic.
- 1:13:32[SPEAKER_00]: I wasn't expecting that.
- 1:13:33[SPEAKER_00]: That was fantastic.
- 1:13:34[SPEAKER_00]: and he's also demossed with destruction.
- 1:13:36[SPEAKER_03]: So we start with the mass club, right?
- 1:13:38[SPEAKER_03]: I'm this very evil person.
- 1:13:40[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to set this fancy table around me, but anyone who wants to be around him has to be a sick a fan.
- 1:13:45[SPEAKER_03]: They have to bow before him.
- 1:13:46[SPEAKER_03]: They have to recognize his superiority.
- 1:13:48[SPEAKER_03]: The second, anyone questions him or embarrasses him.
- 1:13:51[SPEAKER_03]: He calls them fool.
- 1:13:52[SPEAKER_03]: He humiliates them.
- 1:13:54[SPEAKER_03]: Clean the coffee.
- 1:13:54[SPEAKER_03]: I spit up off the floor.
- 1:13:55[SPEAKER_03]: Why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why,
- 1:14:00[SPEAKER_03]: It's terrible, but like the, again, it's very Hitler energy in that way.
- 1:14:05[SPEAKER_03]: And then we have this kind of private life where he's dressing people up as Captain America, so that he can murder them and is underwear.
- 1:14:13[SPEAKER_03]: It's also crazy.
- 1:14:14[SPEAKER_03]: Did you have thoughts on that scene?
- 1:14:15[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I understand those fantasies coming from his perspective, little wings, you know, little psychological wings in his mind.
- 1:14:22[SPEAKER_00]: I guess it's crazy.
- 1:14:24[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, another genuine question for you.
- 1:14:25[SPEAKER_03]: How horrible must I be to make the whole world
- 1:14:30[SPEAKER_03]: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
- 1:14:56[SPEAKER_03]: This group, the Shiteshula group, or these German superheroes who end up getting fooled by the red skull in the end, and humiliated.
- 1:15:03[SPEAKER_03]: I find it interesting.
- 1:15:05[SPEAKER_00]: It reminded me of this movie by Quentin Tarantino Inglurio Bastards.
- 1:15:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, sure.
- 1:15:13[SPEAKER_00]: Interesting, not see-hong times, yes.
- 1:15:14[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if, if their approach is necessarily good, it is it is good like in the Protestants, I guess, but it's still vigilantees in my guess, in its sense, right?
- 1:15:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, absolutely.
- 1:15:26[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so they're they're not authorized by the law, but they're kind of morality police and they're doing dark things to bring dark people to justice, which is my hit-up story, right, too, right, which makes them interesting to have that's by the way.
- 1:15:39[SPEAKER_03]: The red skull really purporting like I'm not a Nazi anymore.
- 1:15:42[SPEAKER_03]: Now I'm a nihilist.
- 1:15:43[SPEAKER_03]: Is something he's really emphasizing here, which is interesting.
- 1:15:46[SPEAKER_03]: And we've seen this explored with the red skull at this point.
- 1:15:48[SPEAKER_03]: This is the early 90s.
- 1:15:50[SPEAKER_03]: We've seen this explored with this character for well over a decade, where he keeps calling himself a nihilist.
- 1:15:55[SPEAKER_03]: Like nihilism being, you know, there's no purpose to anything.
- 1:15:59[SPEAKER_03]: Let's dissolve all government and let chaos reign.
- 1:16:02[SPEAKER_03]: And now he's bringing vibrant and
- 1:16:08[SPEAKER_03]: who once turned Ronald Reagan into a snake.
- 1:16:12[SPEAKER_03]: I love her a lot.
- 1:16:16[SPEAKER_03]: Crazy stories in this run.
- 1:16:18[SPEAKER_03]: So he escapes justice once again.
- 1:16:20[SPEAKER_03]: He fools everybody and then we have this giant table meeting where we just see how many evil things he's doing all at once.
- 1:16:27[SPEAKER_03]: If we break apart this group that he's meeting with the watchdogs are basically like white supremacists in America.
- 1:16:34[SPEAKER_03]: He's got the resistance who are like a mutant group fighting against the government for mutant rights.
- 1:16:39[SPEAKER_03]: He's got the power broker who's a guy giving superpowers to people have hazardly.
- 1:16:44[SPEAKER_03]: The secret empire who are like the Ku Klux clan, like there's all these terrible hydros there.
- 1:16:49[SPEAKER_03]: You know, there's all these really terrible people who are fomenting chaos all around the world.
- 1:16:53[SPEAKER_03]: And he's just ranting, none of them is doing enough.
- 1:16:55[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I want this world to go crazy.
- 1:16:57[SPEAKER_03]: What's wrong with everybody?
- 1:16:58[SPEAKER_03]: But truly evil, like he has his fingers in kind of a
- 1:17:02[SPEAKER_03]: everything at the same time.
- 1:17:03[SPEAKER_03]: It's a little startling when you realize that.
- 1:17:05[SPEAKER_00]: I wish he was presented to us more like a bigger butt than we experienced in the MCU.
- 1:17:12[SPEAKER_00]: That was my thinking.
- 1:17:13[SPEAKER_00]: Because if he's doing all this, I was reminded of Kingpin.
- 1:17:16[SPEAKER_00]: I think he also mentioned Kingpin.
- 1:17:18[SPEAKER_00]: Kingpings.
- 1:17:19[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, there's a story shortly before this where the Red School tries to launch a drug dealing empire in America and the kingpin in him stripped down to their underwear and fight each other to see who gets to deal drugs and the kingpin wins.
- 1:17:32[SPEAKER_03]: This whole thing with him and his underwear fighting people.
- 1:17:35[SPEAKER_03]: It's a real theme.
- 1:17:37[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:17:37[SPEAKER_00]: So that's like his kink, that must be his kink or something.
- 1:17:41[SPEAKER_00]: But I think his is a much bigger body than I was introduced to, is what I'm learning.
- 1:17:46[SPEAKER_00]: Because he has all these guns, all these guys everywhere, and I learned he's not as name as seen.
- 1:17:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:17:51[SPEAKER_00]: So I think his is a much bigger evil than I, you know, initially thoughts, he's a very formidable force, such a little bit.
- 1:17:58[SPEAKER_03]: He's, he's truly terrible.
- 1:18:00[SPEAKER_03]: He's the, he's the braver, he's the measuring line for evil in the marble universe.
- 1:18:06[SPEAKER_03]: The last question I want to throw at you, we have this character, Mother Knight, who is a telepathic woman, who kind of dresses like a nun, who is just like, yes, dear, yes, dear, let me take care of you, dear, as he, he's calling your names and throwing on the floor, that's going to, that's going to heat up in the next couple of red school mini talks that I do, but did you have any thoughts on Mother Knight?
- 1:18:25[SPEAKER_03]: Each time I saw, I'm like, please stand up, stand up, come on, she could literally, she could literally enter his brain and just like,
- 1:18:34[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, I, well, I guess what you call that being Stockholm syndrome?
- 1:18:38[SPEAKER_00]: Stand up!
- 1:18:40[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to be talking about that.
- 1:18:41[SPEAKER_03]: In fact, your friend Murad was going to be joining me for the next Red School Mini and we're going to talk all about how the Red School treats women, and that will be the theme.
- 1:18:49[SPEAKER_00]: Very interesting, that will be very interesting.
- 1:18:51[SPEAKER_03]: So a lot of these conversations, I know you have an interesting perspective being in Africa.
- 1:18:56[SPEAKER_03]: As we're watching kind of the rise of nihilistic or Nazi factions happen in democratic governments around the world, including America,
- 1:19:04[SPEAKER_03]: What's it like for you to watch the crazy from over there?
- 1:19:08[SPEAKER_03]: The comparison to silly comic books makes it more fun, but it's a it's a jarring story I opened with Hitler's rise to power.
- 1:19:14[SPEAKER_03]: You know, his crazy book written in prison is what starts to get national attention, which is maddening.
- 1:19:19[SPEAKER_00]: Well, personally, I would say people need to stand more with the targeted, people need to, you know, strengthen their communities.
- 1:19:28[SPEAKER_00]: There should be a little bit more camaraderie in pockets of society.
- 1:19:32[SPEAKER_00]: And at the end of the day, democracy needs to be strengthened.
- 1:19:37[SPEAKER_00]: Because these are the things that actually is in our tax.
- 1:19:40[SPEAKER_00]: One year or four, ironically, fashion is in my, I was checking the etymology of the word stems from strength in unity.
- 1:19:47[SPEAKER_00]: We, you get to see the symbol in the US Congress also, bondage of sticks with an axe, you know, tied together and everything.
- 1:19:54[SPEAKER_00]: And it's funny how it's now the opposite of what it should be or what's the originality science to be.
- 1:20:00[SPEAKER_00]: But now it's just, you know, authoritarian authority to one person, segregation, the old nonsense wouldn't think would.
- 1:20:08[SPEAKER_00]: be seen in 2020, see by yourself.
- 1:20:11[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:20:12[SPEAKER_03]: I would love to ask you two questions and I'm not deeply educated as I ask these, but a number one did World War II hit Nigeria.
- 1:20:21[SPEAKER_03]: Much was there a lot of impact for you, your family, your heritage.
- 1:20:27[SPEAKER_00]: I won't say directly, but I did my studies some years ago and I think some Nigerian soldiers did represent is what I found and I was very shocked to find that.
- 1:20:38[SPEAKER_03]: Another way some wars in parts of Africa, like some of the warfront was it was in the parts of Northern Africa I believe.
- 1:20:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:20:46[SPEAKER_00]: Well, personally, I don't think I felt or saw any direct impact.
- 1:20:51[SPEAKER_00]: We had our own thing going that's directly impacted our grandparents and parents went to a younger, you know, civil wars and all that stuff.
- 1:20:59[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:20:59[SPEAKER_03]: So I wanted to ask you as well.
- 1:21:00[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not deeply familiar with life in Nigeria or even politics.
- 1:21:05[SPEAKER_03]: I've done a little bit of study, but I know there's been a number of political coups and things like that over the years.
- 1:21:11[SPEAKER_03]: What was it like for you as a man living in a certain kind of democracy reading these kinds of stories?
- 1:21:18[SPEAKER_00]: The craziest one I would I wouldn't say experienced.
- 1:21:21[SPEAKER_00]: I think I was just the kid I was probably four or five was the death of a military ruler and I think I was the craziest I
- 1:21:28[SPEAKER_00]: I don't go to experience well the kids I was shielded or reading like you said reading through and reading back I've been shocked to find that's my parents So by many of these things some of them moved from place to place and finally said to the new states that they were not some some of them not welcome in
- 1:21:44[SPEAKER_00]: But luckily for me, I did not experience this thing directly about our parents and mostly our grandparents, and we experienced this thing's first hand, and there was a lot of unrest, a lot of societal and economical impacts that they faced.
- 1:21:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, and many of them had to find the way to build their homes again and build their finances again from, by doing things like maybe farming or importing of some material or something like that, just to make ends meet.
- 1:22:13[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and I know, again, it's not a direct comparison, but in America, it's political parties.
- 1:22:18[SPEAKER_03]: I know in Nigeria, it's much more tribal affiliation, which part of Nigeria do you live in?
- 1:22:22[SPEAKER_00]: And even Legos, that's southwest.
- 1:22:24[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so if you were on the east, you could just turn to your right and say, hi, to Chad.
- 1:22:28[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just right there, terrible terrible joke, my apologies.
- 1:22:34[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, what do you have any final thoughts on the world of Captain America in the 1990s?
- 1:22:41[SPEAKER_00]: You know, on fun fact, the amazing actor who played, um, that's a, you go weaving.
- 1:22:47[SPEAKER_03]: You go weaving, yeah.
- 1:22:48[SPEAKER_03]: You also played, who also played the guy in the Matrix film, who always says, Mr. Anderson, which is what people say to me all the time.
- 1:22:53[SPEAKER_00]: Mr. Anderson.
- 1:22:54[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I'm going to say this.
- 1:22:56[SPEAKER_00]: I took about your name using that voice with your voice.
- 1:23:00[SPEAKER_00]: So that guy was born in Nigeria.
- 1:23:03[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, in my states, on fact, yeah.
- 1:23:05[SPEAKER_00]: So it's interesting to find that out.
- 1:23:07[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I didn't know that.
- 1:23:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's good.
- 1:23:08[SPEAKER_00]: That's it was.
- 1:23:09[SPEAKER_00]: He was born in Ibadou.
- 1:23:10[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you.
- 1:23:11[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:23:11[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:23:12[SPEAKER_03]: Look at the red sculpture action.
- 1:23:15[SPEAKER_00]: I think Red Skull should be a big abad and what we have seen on the Silver Springs.
- 1:23:21[SPEAKER_00]: I think so.
- 1:23:22[SPEAKER_00]: From reading to things, you ask me to read fantastic.
- 1:23:24[SPEAKER_00]: These scenes are there.
- 1:23:25[SPEAKER_03]: There certainly are stories where he's amplified to that level.
- 1:23:28[SPEAKER_03]: I'd also be happy to never see him again.
- 1:23:30[SPEAKER_03]: If I had never had to read another story about an evil Nazi, I'd be fine.
- 1:23:34[SPEAKER_00]: Because of the parallels we see today, I think we should not shoot.
- 1:23:39[SPEAKER_00]: We can, if we want to, tell more stories about, you know, these things that are kind of caricaturized in books and on TV.
- 1:23:49[SPEAKER_00]: So that the young guys can learn one, it's been or two from how not to how to and all of that.
- 1:23:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, Thanos is fantastic.
- 1:23:58[SPEAKER_00]: We all love, we all love the fantastical.
- 1:24:00[SPEAKER_00]: But sometimes we need to, we should, I think, blend the fantastical with some politics.
- 1:24:05[SPEAKER_03]: We can relate to Thanos, Magneto, Dr. Doom.
- 1:24:08[SPEAKER_03]: You can't relate to the red skull.
- 1:24:09[SPEAKER_03]: He just needs to be smashed.
- 1:24:11[SPEAKER_00]: That's it.
- 1:24:12[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't need to be smashed.
- 1:24:13[SPEAKER_00]: But you know, his ideologies are things that we're seeing today.
- 1:24:16[SPEAKER_00]: So even if we can't relate to him, we can understand why that should not exist today.
- 1:24:21[SPEAKER_03]: Well, don't do it again today.
- 1:24:22[SPEAKER_03]: I think you're fantastic.
- 1:24:23[SPEAKER_03]: I know you've got some big work coming out.
- 1:24:24[SPEAKER_03]: I can't wait.
- 1:24:25[SPEAKER_03]: It's a joy to have you on the show any time and every time.
- 1:24:27[SPEAKER_03]: Thanks for hanging out with me today, my friend.
- 1:24:29[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you for having me.
- 1:24:30[SPEAKER_03]: I heard everybody stay tuned.
- 1:24:31[SPEAKER_03]: Will we jump back into our next Red Skull conversation next time?
- 1:24:35[SPEAKER_03]: It involves a Viper stripping him down to his underwear and putting him on a torture wheel where she gets to spin a little dial that makes him scream out and pain and he's so into it.
- 1:24:44[SPEAKER_03]: We'll get there next time.
- 1:24:47[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 1:24:47[SPEAKER_03]: We'll see you back here next time.
- 1:24:49[SPEAKER_03]: Bye.
