- 0:20Show four thousand, nine hundred and eighty nine. You can help us out
- 0:27raising money for the WFLA scholarship at the DCC Foundation. Learn more on the
- 0:32blog page. And I would say humbly thank you very much from the bottom
- 0:37of my heart. That's Grant Allen over there yawning in studio one. Ay,
- 0:42I'm here in studio. He's a new dad. That's what happens.
- 0:46I'm here in Studio one B. And I am joined on the phone by
- 0:52Jerome Hudson, Ladies and gentlemen. He is the entertainment editor with Breitbard dot
- 0:56com, author of the Fifty Things books, and more important than any of
- 1:00that, my friend. Yes, But am I on the list of people
- 1:07who you would have fill in for you when you are not in the captain's
- 1:14chair? Well, if if I heard allowed such things, you would certainly
- 1:18be on that list. But but but corporate, but they don't. Well,
- 1:26gee, thanks Jerome. No, No, that's fine, it's fine.
- 1:33That is a good passing of the buck. I don't doubt it.
- 1:37Well, are you gonna let me write a guest column for Bright bart absolutely.
- 1:42Oh really, I mean, you know, look, look there's a
- 1:46there's an editor who oversees that sort of Okay, yeah, it happens to
- 1:52not be me, but I'll put a great word in for you. Thank
- 1:56you very much, sir, Thank you very much. I appreciate that.
- 1:59Hey T tell me between Disney dropping what about one hundred million in losses on
- 2:04the new Indiana Jones movie and the star of their new live action snow White
- 2:12being a pr nightmare, Rachel Zegler, what what is it going to take
- 2:17before shareholders say enough? Oh that's such a good question. Thank you.
- 2:25You've had, you've had. You sort of had that a little bit before
- 2:34the release of the first quarter report back in mid March, but Bob Iger
- 2:44fired a couple more executives who were supportive of those large shareholders, and this
- 2:52story just sort of went away. Yeah. The stock is hovering somewhere between
- 2:59eighty five in eighty nine dollars for Disney, which is about as low as
- 3:04it's traded in about ten years. And the thing that you know, people
- 3:07have to know about stocks is that that price is predicated largely on, you
- 3:15know, the faith in future earnings and as you alluded Disney's racking up movies
- 3:23that have big budgets but don't really pull in, you know, the money
- 3:27at the box office. And as I've said before, a large reason for
- 3:30that is the Disney has a brand, a real brand issue. It is
- 3:37becoming very synonymous with hyper sexualization in terms of its content, and it is
- 3:44only really the fault of Disney. When you have executives being seen on zoom
- 3:50calls talking about how they have children who are you know, transgender or pan
- 3:57sexual or bisexual, and they want to see those sorts of characters in Disney
- 4:03content. It makes a lot of people nervous. You know, if you
- 4:09want to be an adult and has consenting sexual attraction or activity with whoever you
- 4:18want to, that's totally fine. You know, generally, I think spinking
- 4:24a lot of people might agree. But when it comes to pushing that sort
- 4:28of content on adolescents, and you have a situation in which a lot of
- 4:35people just turn you know, Disney Junior on or Disney Plus on and it
- 4:43captivates their child and they sort of leave the room. That has a trickle
- 4:47down effect, and we're seeing it in the stock price, We're seeing it
- 4:51this this the third quarter Disney numbers were horrific. People three hundred thousand people
- 4:59canceled the Disney Plush subscription. They're they're increasing the price for Disney Plus and
- 5:05so you saw, you know, an astronomical increase for people searching how to
- 5:12cancel Disney Plus. Will probably see that in the fourth quarter earnings numbers.
- 5:17Yeah, it's you know, I don't know, it's sad because it's such
- 5:21an American brand and had been for a long time. But every everything that
- 5:27Woke touches turns to the new mayor of Realville dispensing information at the speed of
- 5:34sound. It's The Morning Show with Preston Scott. Jerome Hudson with me from
- 5:54Breitbart dot Com. He's the entertainment editor and he is also off of the
- 6:00fifty Things books, Fifty Things they don't want you to know, Fifty Things
- 6:04they don't want you to know about Trump and as soon coming fifty Things they
- 6:10don't want you to know about and we'll have to wait and see what that
- 6:12is. And he's also a friend. He was an intern with us years
- 6:17and years ago, and as just a dear friend of mine personally and my
- 6:24wife and I love Jerome are kids. Yeah, and so he's just a
- 6:29good friend, all right, friend, tell me helped me understand what's going
- 6:32on with Michael Or. And you know, the film The blind Side was
- 6:36a thing. Sandra Bullock got an oscar. Now there's people jamming on Sandra
- 6:41Bullock like it's somehow her fault that Michael Or and the family are having issues.
- 6:46What's this all about? Yeah, you know, Michael Lore good kid,
- 6:51bad situation. The Towey family sort of adopted him at the uh you
- 7:00know, they met him at sixteen, sort of took him in and we
- 7:05get the movie that that really kind of goes into that whole relationship about fifteen
- 7:13years ago, and in and in since that time, in the intervening years,
- 7:18it had been rumored for a long time that Michael Or you know,
- 7:24after he excuse me, went to play football University Old miss and was drafted
- 7:30in the first round by the Baltimore Ravens. After the movie came out in
- 7:36that span that he wasn't satisfied, if you will, with the breakdown of
- 7:44how his life was you know, portrayed turned into a movie. How the
- 7:47Twoey family, who had had their own independent wealth from owning several different franchises.
- 7:56Michael Laure wasn't happy how he was portrayed in the film. He was
- 8:01he was portrayed as a little bit slow, if you will. But but
- 8:05more importantly, there were royalties that were allegedly anyway given to the Twoey family
- 8:13but not necessarily shared with Michael Or. So Michael Or's attorney has alleged that,
- 8:22you know, the royalty, the Twey family, they had their own
- 8:26agent, they had their own lawyer, they had they received royalties, but
- 8:31Michael Or didn't. And so you know, the Twey family is saying that,
- 8:37look, we couldn't adopt him. They're about twenty nine states in which
- 8:41you can't adopt a person after they turned eighteen. So they did a conservatorship
- 8:46to you know, yeah, which is it's just it's it's a bunch of
- 8:54legal leads and it's all sort of he said or his lawyers said, and
- 8:58their lawyers said at this point, but they're stating that they gave half of
- 9:03the royalties to him, and that that's going to be made abundantly clear.
- 9:09The twoy family attorney has made statements yes, in that in that sense,
- 9:18they set up a trust we set up a trust, a Twey family set
- 9:20up a trust from Michael. We had regular deposits going into that trust.
- 9:28Uh, those statements will have to be bared out to be true in court
- 9:33because you can't as an attorney, you can't. You can't make declarative statements
- 9:37like that. And then it comes to find out that, yeah, the
- 9:41twoies made royalties from a film portraying the life of this young man that grossed
- 9:46over three hundred million dollars, grossed even more money in home video. There
- 9:50were books written, the twoies did speaking tours. You can't you can't say
- 9:54that we shared royalties from all of that with Michael Lore and that didn't happen.
- 9:58So we right now it's it is a lot of allegations, but there
- 10:03will be discovery in the litigation and you know a lot will be born out
- 10:09from it. But it is really sad. I mean, for a lot
- 10:11of people, that was their favorite film or one of their favorite films.
- 10:13It was a beautiful story and now it's all becomes toxic. Well, I'll
- 10:20tell you sometimes the off air commentary and discussions that go on between Jerome and
- 10:30me, I am I am talking him out of writing an article on Breitbart
- 10:37about my five thousand show. It's just it's not necessary. It just it
- 10:43does it doesn't warrant national distribution. You need a statue, it leaves Okay,
- 10:58yeah, well yeah, do you put a billboard up in Tallahassee,
- 11:01Thank you, Preston. No, I don't think so. I don't.
- 11:05I don't think so. I did. I did have people put up a
- 11:09fake gravestone during COVID when I was telling people to be wary of the vaccine,
- 11:15and I had someone put up a gravestone in their front yard that said
- 11:18I listened to Preston Scott. Yeah. Can you believe that? Yeah?
- 11:24Yeah, yeah, that's that's Actually, that's something I'm somewhat proud of because
- 11:28I've been vindicated on my concerns. But that's a story for another day.
- 11:33I told you I wanted to talk about Skittles. Here's why another company.
- 11:39Okay, we've got bud Light, We've got Disney, we've got Target,
- 11:45and who knows how many other untold businesses that have have dabbled in the in
- 11:52the waters of the rainbow. But but what what skittles thing taste the rainbow
- 11:56right, and they have gone all in with packaging, LGBTQ packaging, trans
- 12:03black Lives matters drome. What's wrong with these people? I was just looking
- 12:09at the Forbes two hundred Billionaires lists and they're about half a dozen Mars family
- 12:16members on that list. They're gonna be on it a year from now.
- 12:22Well slightly, it's slightly related. Uh. I saw this listerine right,
- 12:31Gosh, I hope I'm not saying the wrong company now, Grant starting his
- 12:35head, Yeah, okay, I'm correct. Yeah, And it's it's so
- 12:39it's the progress flag, right, and it sort of has like the little
- 12:43arrow pointing to the right. Is that what that is? That's the progress
- 12:48flag? Yeah, okay, it's got something to do with indigenous people.
- 12:54Good. Look, you don't want to become the bud light of brands,
- 13:01okay, because that's like in double A in NC double A death penalty.
- 13:09You know, you you you automatically become so toxic that people see your product
- 13:13in the aisle and they just and they just walk away, or as I
- 13:18have done, I don't shop at Target anymore because it just felt like a
- 13:26pretty easy call. I mean, once you go into you know, the
- 13:33sexual exploitation of children is one thing, but you you you compound that death
- 13:39double worship. Yeah, you know, Hail Satan clothing for sale. I
- 13:45mean, I don't know. I'll just I'll find somewhere else to buy my
- 13:48two Chicks vodka. I don't get it. I really don't understand. And
- 13:58most days i'm i'm I I see new heroes. You know, we got
- 14:01this story about fifty Cents saying that Los Angeles is gone, like it's not
- 14:07coming back because you just have flash mobs just ransacking. Uh, you know,
- 14:13luxury jury stores and clothing outlets, that sort of crime when it has
- 14:20when it becomes ubiquitous, and there don't there there are no consequences for your
- 14:28lawlessness. He's right, fifty Cents right, like you only have to look
- 14:33at history. So I see these heroes just unlikely people speaking truth to the
- 14:39insanity that's happening. And then Skittles does this or Listerine goes with the trends.
- 14:43It's like, what in the actual HG double hockey sticks does mouthwash have
- 14:52to do with with trans people's right. It's just it's so bizarre to me.
- 15:00I don't understand the boardroom in the conversation in the boardroom where these decisions
- 15:03are made, where these these campaigns are greenless. I don't get it.
- 15:09I mean, I I don't think I remember Listerine or Skittles or any of
- 15:15these companies coming out overtly for any political cause. Maybe privately donating to things,
- 15:24but not publicly, And so I don't get why they're picking up this
- 15:28banner. I don't understand the virtue signaling. You know, I'm hosting right
- 15:35Brant News Saturday from ten am Eastern to one pm, and I'm gonna pick
- 15:41this conversation up, but you know, I'm sorry, I'm gonna be on
- 15:46the golf course. I won't be able to join you. Well, in
- 15:48case you were going to offer me the slot. More Americans are ending up
- 15:54homeless at a record rate, you know, and so I see headlines like
- 15:58that, and then I think Italls wants to push this wild sexual, freakish
- 16:07sideshow circus attraction, and I just, you know, like, what are
- 16:10we doing some kind of crazy whacka do? All right, buddy, thanks
- 16:15very much, Love you talk to you soon, yes, sir, All
- 16:18right. Jerome Hudson with me on the Morning Show with Preston Scott
