Montpelier drivers, pay attention: I-89 southbound Exit 8 ramps will be closed nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. July 12–17 for critical roadwork—resurfacing, guardrail upgrades, lane markings, and drainage fixes. Detours are in place: on-ramp users go via Memorial Dr → US-2E → US-302E → Berlin Hwy → VT-62W → Exit 7S. Off-ramp users take Exit 7S → VT-62E → Berlin Hwy → US-302W → US-2W, or Exit 9S → Middlesex Hwy → US-2E. Plan ahead to avoid delays during overnight closures.
