- 0:28Good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:30Ooh, So today we're are talking about how lip service gets in
- 0:34our way the act of lip service is.
- 0:37So let me explain for those of you who may have not heard of
- 0:40that term before. The active lip service is, when
- 0:42you are saying the right words, but you have absolutely no
- 0:45intent or the slightest belief that anything that you are
- 0:48saying is going to matter, make a difference, you don't believe
- 0:52in the prayer. You don't believe in the
- 0:53thought, you don't believe in the action of it.
- 0:55You're just going through the motions to get it out and make
- 0:58it end and this process. I believe in our society has
- 1:02become a very, very predominant Force.
- 1:08Let's say of action and how it just affects so much because
- 1:13people are constantly saying one thing and doing another.
- 1:17And when you actually find someone that lives up to their
- 1:20word as I like to say, it's a rarity and you need to keep
- 1:24those people and you need to cherish them because those
- 1:26people are special. They are definitely special.
- 1:30And I don't even realize, I don't really think that a lot of
- 1:35people realize how lip service is affecting everybody around
- 1:39them to me. I think it's something that
- 1:43we've become so habitually conditioned to that we ourselves
- 1:47do it. We say one thing and we do
- 1:49another and you've heard me talk before about how don't lie to
- 1:53yourself. It falls in that category.
- 1:56Again when you say something, do you really mean it are you are
- 1:59you working on it? Sure.
- 2:00What maybe you'll fail, but you're still intending on
- 2:03working on it and it's the intent behind the scenes that
- 2:06matters. So this idea of lip service, the
- 2:10this idea of being able to believe in it.
- 2:14One of the places where I really want to focus on this particular
- 2:18subject, is what you believe behind the scenes about how
- 2:22you're going to handle yourself and what you're going to do
- 2:26moving forward with it. So if we, if we intend to do
- 2:30something, And often this shows up in our business world where
- 2:33we're like, okay we're going to do this, we're going to make
- 2:37this happen, this is the month, we're getting the marketing done
- 2:39and there's no question about it.
- 2:42This is what I'm doing and it sounds great.
- 2:46You might even make a list, might even be on your clipboard
- 2:49and you've got a list and you're like, okay I'm ready.
- 2:52I got this all done, I've got it in my notes, in my iPhone I'm
- 2:55good and then it falls by the wayside or it gets pushed to a
- 2:59different date or you say. To do something and it doesn't
- 3:03happen. And all of a sudden you come to
- 3:05the end of the month and you're looking at what has happened and
- 3:08transpired over the course of the month and it's nothing that
- 3:11you thought it was going to be. There's absolutely not one thing
- 3:14that you thought it was going to be done and you in that at least
- 3:18in that Arena that you gave lip service to and you set it to the
- 3:22team. He said this is what we're going
- 3:23to get done and all of a sudden it's not there.
- 3:25It's blank and you're like, what happened?
- 3:28Where did the time go? What where did it all go?
- 3:30Did I possibly miss out on this? Well, you missed out on it
- 3:34because you gave it lip service but you didn't give it the
- 3:37attention that it critically needed in order to get done.
- 3:40And that attention is the part. That's so precious it and I
- 3:45truly mean that in that sense you have to treat things like
- 3:49that. Like they are important, they
- 3:51are precious and you are going to do it, no matter what.
- 3:55So sometimes you have to change your approach.
- 3:57I recently have done this where I recognize that a Project that
- 4:01I want to get done is not getting done and it's not
- 4:03getting done because I'm working with clients and I am guilty of
- 4:08working in my business and not on my business as congruently as
- 4:11I need to. So, I had to do something, hire,
- 4:15an assistant, excellent, she's getting it taken care of on lots
- 4:18of levels. Now besides that, you know what
- 4:22hire, one of your clients that can go and do the website work
- 4:25that needs to be done. Excellent.
- 4:26Let's get that taken care of and we started that process because
- 4:31Here's the truth. I cannot be everywhere for
- 4:34everyone all the time and I need to change my Approach.
- 4:37So that's what I'm doing. And when you recognize that you
- 4:40have limitations and you're real with yourself and you're not
- 4:43just giving lip service to a subject, you can truly do some
- 4:46greater good and that's the intent.
- 4:49That is the complete intent with this.
- 4:51So, where are you giving lip service in your life?
- 4:54What are the things that you're talking about that you're not
- 4:57actually following through on? What are the things that you
- 4:59know that? Absolutely have no choice that
- 5:03you have to pay a little bit more attention to and stop just
- 5:06giving lip service to it. Whether it's your health,
- 5:08whether it's, you know, working out whether it's learning
- 5:12reading getting help for yourself figuring out A Better
- 5:15Way, cleaning your house. I've had a lot of people
- 5:18recently talked about how they have so much clutter and they
- 5:22can't take it or they haven't put laundry away for forever.
- 5:26There's piles of laundry sitting all around and they haven't put
- 5:29it away. They're just living on The pile
- 5:31of laundry or they go and they shop and they don't put the
- 5:34groceries away, they just basically leave them hanging
- 5:36around because you know the hell I'm just going to eat them
- 5:41anyway. Well there's something to be
- 5:44said for creating that order that you crave and if you are
- 5:48thinking about it and you're saying I wish it was like this.
- 5:51Oh I wish I was organized. Oh, I wish I had this done in my
- 5:55case. I wish the website was you know,
- 5:57doing things for me instead of just being a placeholder.
- 6:01Then we don't wish our lives away my friends.
- 6:03We fix it. And the wish is the indication.
- 6:06It has to get done. No more lip service getting help
- 6:10is the key the key. So make your list.
- 6:14Figure it out. I'll see you guys tomorrow.
- 6:16Hope you have a blessed day. Bye.
