- 0:05Speaker 1: Hey, it's time to catch up with Country Weekly, where
- 0:08we dive into news and gossip from the world of
- 0:11country music. I'm your host, Ken Dawkins, and I will
- 0:14be reading from various sources found online. As a reminder,
- 0:18RADIOI is a reading service intended for people who are
- 0:21blind or have other disabilities that make it difficult to
- 0:24read printed material. We'll begin with the first article, dated
- 0:28February twenty fourth, from countrynow dot Com. Heading it up,
- 0:34Eric Church and Luke Comb's reflect on Concert for Carolina
- 0:37as they accept CRS twenty twenty five Artist Humanitarian Award.
- 0:43When Eric Church and Luke Combs teamed up for Concert
- 0:46for Carolina to support Hurricane Helen relief efforts, it wasn't
- 0:50for fame, headlines, or recognition. It was simply the right
- 0:54thing to do. So when the country radio broadcasters honor
- 0:57them twenty twenty five Artist Humanitarian a Ward, well, they
- 1:01weren't quite sure how to feel about it. I'm incredibly
- 1:04uncomfortable with an award like this, Church admitted on Friday
- 1:07while standing beside fellow North Carolina native Luke Combs at
- 1:10Country Radio seminar as they accepted the honor. A mentor
- 1:14of mine set a long time ago that you should
- 1:16never think about what you get from doing the right thing.
- 1:19You should just do the right thing, and in this regard,
- 1:22this was the right thing, he continued. The pair pulled
- 1:25off the impossible with their Concert for Carolina benefit concert,
- 1:29putting together a massive stadium show in just a few weeks.
- 1:32An event of his caliber with eighty two thousand attendees
- 1:35would typically take a year to plan. However, thanks to
- 1:38their efforts, the show was a huge success and raised
- 1:41more than twenty four million dollars for the people impacted
- 1:44by Hurricane Eleen. During their CRS acceptance speech, Combs reflected
- 1:49on the moment they began planning the show, emphasizing that
- 1:52moving forward with it was never in question, despite the
- 1:54challenges of organizing it on such short notice, this was
- 1:59the right thing to do. Me and Eric are both
- 2:01from the region of North Carolina that was most heavily impacted,
- 2:04and that morning we were on the phone by putting
- 2:06the show together, and there was never once a thought
- 2:09that we weren't going to get this done. Combs admitted
- 2:12that this experience was something that would ultimately define his career.
- 2:16It'll be a moment that I'll never forget, he promised,
- 2:18holding back tears. Church gave credit to Combs for calling
- 2:21him with the idea of putting the show together, and
- 2:24shared that of all the shows of his career thus far,
- 2:27Concert for Carolina will remain one of the most memorable.
- 2:30I've played a lot of shows in my career, and
- 2:32that night in Charlotte was top of the list for me.
- 2:34As far as special shows, it was the artists that
- 2:37gave creatively their time, their collection of artists the challenges
- 2:41we had, and the crowd responded to it, he explained.
- 2:44When it came time to choose this year's recipient of
- 2:47the CRS twenty twenty five Artist Humanitarian Award, the board
- 2:50did not hesitate.
- 2:51Speaker 2: The decision was obvious.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Eric Church and new Comb's love for their home state
- 2:56has been nothing.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Short of inspiring.
- 2:58Speaker 1: CRB Awards Committee chair Branagan's previously shared their dedication to
- 3:03helping North Carolina recover from Hurricane Helene, and their ongoing
- 3:07efforts show just how much they care. This award is
- 3:10a heartfelt recognition of their commitment, hard work, and genuine
- 3:14compassion for the people of North Carolina. Eric and Luke
- 3:18were proud to Honor You. Established in nineteen ninety as
- 3:21the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, it aims to recognize country
- 3:25artists whose philanthropic efforts have had a valuable impact on
- 3:29the cause they support. Past recipients include Kane Brown, Jason Aldeen,
- 3:34Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Carrie.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Underwood, and others.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Next, Kelsey Ballerini pauses concert to shut down a negative trend.
- 3:45Kelsey Ballerini is calling out fans who continued to shame
- 3:48her ex husband Morgan Evans during her live shows. The
- 3:52country star went through a very public divorce from Evans
- 3:54back in twenty twenty two, and reflected on the pain
- 3:57of that experience threw her rolling up the welcome at EP.
- 4:01Many of the tracks Office Project have been a powerful
- 4:04outlet for listeners going through heartbreak, and while the songstress
- 4:07has made it clear she loves being a part of
- 4:09the heading of the healing process for so many in
- 4:12her crowds, there is a trend that's been going on,
- 4:14particularly with the song Penthouse, that she does not support.
- 4:18A set of new videos of surfaced online from her
- 4:21recent performance at Florida's Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, where
- 4:24she stopped the show to ask fans to stop yelling
- 4:26out f Hugh Morgan. As a disc to her former husband,
- 4:31Ballerini can be heard delivering the story that airs out
- 4:33many of the issues they faced at the end of
- 4:35their relationship, including the lonely process of packing up their
- 4:38previously shared residence. As she sings the bridge, it hurts
- 4:42putting stuff in a box, and now we don't talk,
- 4:44and it stings. Rolling up the welcome Matt Fans help
- 4:47finish out the line and show their support by Ballerini
- 4:50by belting out the words knowing you got Havel. She
- 4:54generally pauses for a second after moving into the chorus
- 4:56to take in all the emotions in the room and
- 4:59build anticipate for the loud sing along It's about to
- 5:02erupt on the next set of lyrics. However, during Sunday's show,
- 5:05she instead took time to express her disapproval over the
- 5:08fan who chose to yell out the negative comment regarding
- 5:11Evans the Cowboys Cry two. Singer Pause shook her head no,
- 5:16and then told the fans we have to stop saying that. Seriously,
- 5:19were three years passed it? Everything's fine now I sing
- 5:22this song for you now It's not about me anymore.
- 5:25Please please stepping forward? She asked for everyone that's moving
- 5:29forward with her life, will you sing this with me?
- 5:31Before finishing out the healed version of the fan favorite tune.
- 5:35This isn't the first time Ballerinia is tempted to shut
- 5:37down this trend. At the very start of her twenty
- 5:40twenty five run, she shook her head at a fan
- 5:42who took part in the negativity. Many of her listeners
- 5:45have opted to stay away from yelling the profanities, as
- 5:48they're happy to support the fact that both Ballerini and
- 5:50Evans have moved on with their lives. Evans has continued
- 5:54to make music and live his life, while the songstress
- 5:56is in a happy relationship without her bank star Chase Stokes.
- 6:01Moving along, Carly Peers suggests her show last minute due
- 6:04to illness. Carly Peers has spent the last month traveling
- 6:09across Europe for her headlining Hummingbird World tour. Unfortunately, just
- 6:13before this leg of the tour is set to come
- 6:15to a close, the singer songwriter has fallen ill with
- 6:18the flu. Despite feeling unwell, she was determined to give
- 6:21her fans a memorable experience as these shows some of
- 6:25the biggest sold out shows of her careers so far.
- 6:28Ahead of her show in Birmingham, UK, she made a
- 6:32last minute decision to switch to a strip down set
- 6:35as she felt she wouldn't be able to deliver her
- 6:37usual full band performance at her best. She revealed the
- 6:41news to fans while on stage, promising to deliver the
- 6:44best show she can despite the circumstances. I woke up
- 6:49yesterday morning. We've been gone for a month, traveling around,
- 6:52and I felt like, wow, I just felt terrible. I've
- 6:54been trying all day. I've been like, it's okay, I'm
- 6:57going to be fine. I'm going to be fine.
- 6:59Speaker 2: Well.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Despite her determination to push through, Pierce ultimately admitted it's
- 7:03not just fine. I don't feel like I'm giving you
- 7:06the best if we play a big, full band set,
- 7:08because I'm fighting. She admitted, However, what we're about to do.
- 7:11I got with the band and my crew earlier, like
- 7:13five minutes before the show. I was like, I don't
- 7:16know if I can do this. We're going to do
- 7:17a little bit more stripped down of all the songs.
- 7:20Though frustrated by the situation, she leaned on her team's
- 7:23support and reassured the audience that she wasn't going anywhere,
- 7:26vowing to make the night special. What's funny. I was
- 7:30almost crying before the show. I was so upset. I'm
- 7:32a human being, but it's so upsetting to be like, no,
- 7:35this can't happen. I've so looked forward to these shows,
- 7:38she explained. But do you know what everybody and my
- 7:40crew and my band said. They said, Birmingham is going
- 7:43to love you. Pierce was met with cheers as she asked,
- 7:46are you with us? Earlier in the day, Pierce shared
- 7:49a message with fans and promised to move forward with
- 7:52the shows. With the help of my doctor and team,
- 7:55we will finish out this too or strong and I
- 7:57will give you everything I have Manchester, bell Fast, Glasgow
- 8:00and Dublin. If the shows look a little different, know
- 8:03that I promised to show up each night giving you
- 8:05my all, she wrote. The Kentucky native also asked fans
- 8:08to pray for her as she navigates these final shows
- 8:11while ill. Just last week, Pierce revealed plans to release Hummingbird,
- 8:16No Rain, No Flowers, a deluxe version of her critically
- 8:19acclaimed fourth studio album, out on March fourteenth. This new
- 8:23release will include five brand new tracks, including the just
- 8:27released No Rain and That's Coming Soon as You Heard
- 8:30March fourteenth. Next, Tucker Wetmore announces debut album What Not To,
- 8:37drops next single three two one. Tucker Wetmore announced his
- 8:42debut album, What Not To, on the stage of the
- 8:45Riemann Auditorium during Universal Music Group Nashville's Country Radio Seminar
- 8:49on Thursday February eighteenth. Sitting down in front of a
- 8:53keyboard with a room full of radio personalities and music
- 8:56executives listening intently from the audience, the rising stars shared
- 8:59the but his first project will drop on Friday, April
- 9:02twenty fifth. Produced by Chris Lacourt, What Not To is
- 9:07layered with a web of interconnected themes, like red yarn
- 9:10connecting a bunch of pins on a wall, says the
- 9:12Washington native. Each of the relatable tunes that fans will
- 9:16explore throughout the project will be guided by the deep,
- 9:19personal and unfiltered title track, which he debuted during his
- 9:22recent Rhyme and appearance. The song, penned by What Moore,
- 9:26Jacob Hackworth, Lacourt, Jase McGill, and James Rogers, places a
- 9:30focus on relatable struggles and personal redemption, while capturing the
- 9:34raw storytelling that will flow throughout the entire nineteen song collection.
- 9:38Only a select few people know this, but I am
- 9:41very happy to announce I'm dropping my first album on
- 9:44April twenty fifth, he shared with Pride. I am beyond
- 9:47excited about it. So I thought I'd really go out
- 9:49of my comfort zone and play you guys as song.
- 9:52And this was the hardest song I've ever been a
- 9:54part of. It's talking about things I don't really talk
- 9:57about a lot. I think a lot of you, some
- 9:59of you. Hopefully we'll be able to relate to this
- 10:01in one way or another. But that's why I write songs,
- 10:04so I don't have to talk about things, he joked.
- 10:07One day after presenting the news to the world, Wetmore
- 10:09shared another look behind the curtain with his highly anticipated
- 10:12new release three two one, serving as a follow up
- 10:16to his recent number one debut Wind Up Missing You.
- 10:19The song will serve as the next single to country
- 10:21radio going for Ads.
- 10:22Speaker 2: On March tenth.
- 10:24Speaker 1: The clever track, filled with catchy melodies and clever lyrics
- 10:27that illustrate a story of regret, was written by Josh Miller,
- 10:30Summer Overstreet and Jordan Reynolds. Wetmore has already experienced the
- 10:35slew of milestones in the past year, and soon fans
- 10:38will get to experience yet another major career feat when
- 10:41he makes his headlining debut at the iconic Ryman Auditorium
- 10:44on May twenty first, with special guests Jacob Hackworth. It's
- 10:48an absolute dream come true to headline the Mother Church
- 10:50of Country music for the first time, and it means
- 10:53even more to share it with one of my best friends,
- 10:55Jacob Hackworth, shares, wet Moore can't wait to see you
- 10:58all on May twenty first, feeling beyond blessed. Before then,
- 11:03there will be plenty more opportunities to catch Tucker wet
- 11:05Moore on the road. He will perform at Country to
- 11:08Country on March or in March, and then continue his
- 11:11extended waves on a Sunset Tour twenty twenty five. This summer,
- 11:15he will also serve as direct support for thirty three
- 11:18dates of Thomas Rhett's Better in Boots Tour twenty twenty five. Next,
- 11:24Ashley Cook Zach Top Lead twenty twenty five New Faces
- 11:28of Country Music show Country Radio Seminar took over Nashville
- 11:33this week. As we mentioned, running from February nineteenth to
- 11:36the twenty first, the event brought together professionals from all
- 11:39corners of the country music industry, including radio, streaming, record labels, artists, media,
- 11:44and more. As an annual convention, CRS serves as a
- 11:47platform for education, idea sharing, and industry growth, with a
- 11:51strong focus on topics relevant to country radio. CRS twenty
- 11:56twenty five featured performances from a mix of rising and
- 11:58established artists, culminating in the most anticipated event of the week,
- 12:02The New Faces of Country Music Show. The showcase highlighted
- 12:06five artists, Drew Baldridge, Ashley Cook, Dasha zach Topp, and
- 12:11Warren Zeeders, each earning their spot through votes from the
- 12:14country music industry. The New Faces of Country Music Show
- 12:18has served as a launching point in artists' careers since
- 12:21its inception over five decades ago. Through the years, artists
- 12:25such as Jelly Roll, Parker McCollum, Luke, Bryan Taylor, Swift,
- 12:28Brad Paisley, Eric Church, Jason Aldeen, Thomas Rhett, Luke Combs,
- 12:33Tim McGraw, Toby Keith Brooks and Dunn and Moore Believe
- 12:36It or Not, were previously named New Faces of Country Music.
- 12:40Keeping with tradition, this year's New Faces class had the
- 12:43opportunity to showcase their talent and their music in front
- 12:46of key industry leaders on the final night of CRS.
- 12:50The twenty twenty five performers did the genre proud, highlighting
- 12:53the incredible wave of talent currently shaping country music and
- 12:56country radio. Now we wander over or to Peoplecountry dot Com.
- 13:02With the first article dated dough Let's see February twenty fifth.
- 13:07Morgan Wallan addresses April arrest and being his own worst
- 13:10enemy in new song written for son Indigo, who's four
- 13:14years old. Morgan Wallen is looking back on his path
- 13:17through a new lens thanks to sun Indigo Wilder. The
- 13:21country star thirty one released a snippet of a new
- 13:23song titled Superman to Instagram on Monday and said the
- 13:26track is dedicated to his four and a half year old.
- 13:30Been trying for a long time to write a song
- 13:32I love to my son. None of them ever feel
- 13:34good enough because of how perfect I want something like
- 13:37this to be, he captured in his post and not
- 13:40saying this is perfect, but I am very proud of it.
- 13:42Here's a clip It's called Superman. In the song, Wallen
- 13:46reflects on past mistakes, including his April arrest, and likens
- 13:50his struggles to those of the DC superhero. While speaking
- 13:53to his son, one day, you're going to see my
- 13:56mugshot from a night when I got a little too drunk,
- 13:58he sings, here is about a girl I lost from
- 14:01the times that I just wouldn't grow up. And when
- 14:03you ain't a kid no more, I hope you don't
- 14:05think less of me. I try to hide my falling short,
- 14:08but you're gonna see. The singer goes on to compare
- 14:12that battle, meaning his struggles with alcohol, to Superman's kryptonite,
- 14:16which can bring a man of steel down to his knees.
- 14:19Don't always know my wrongs from right. Sometimes I'm my
- 14:21own worst enemy, he sings. No, I don't always save
- 14:25the day, but you know, for you'll always try. I'll
- 14:28do the best I can, But Superman still just a
- 14:30man sometimes. While welcomed his son, whom he calls Indy
- 14:34with ex Katie K. T Smith in July of twenty twenty,
- 14:39the Uproof singer was arrested in April twenty twenty four
- 14:42after throwing a chair from the roof of Chief's Bar
- 14:44in Nashville. In December, he was sentenced to one week
- 14:47at a DUI education center, as well as two years probation,
- 14:51one for each of his misdemeanor charges for reckless endangerment.
- 14:55The star also ordered to pay three hundred and fifty
- 14:58dollars fine in court fees. All unpleaded conditionally guilty due
- 15:01to judicial diversion, and if he successfully completes the terms
- 15:05of his probation, we'll have his charges eligible for dismissal
- 15:09and expungement. In January, Wallan announced the title of his
- 15:12upcoming fourth album, I'm the Problem, as well as an
- 15:15accompanying stadium tour that will hit ten cities starting in June.
- 15:20In recent months, he's released the song Smile, Lies, Lies, Lies,
- 15:24Love Somebody, and the title track. It remains unclear if
- 15:27Superman will appear on the new album. Wallen opened up
- 15:31about raising India alongside Smith in a twenty twenty one
- 15:34interview with People, saying he was thankful to share his
- 15:37son with someone I care about or doing our best
- 15:39to figure it out, Just trying to do the best
- 15:41we can with the situation, he said, the most important
- 15:44thing is that he's in our life now. He's happy,
- 15:47he's healthy, He's incredible. When Wallenn announced the birth of
- 15:51his son on Instagram, he wrote a sweet message, telling
- 15:53Indy he would be the dad you deserve as well
- 15:56as the co parent your mother deserves since you were born.
- 15:59I know every decision I will be with will be
- 16:01with you in mind, he wrote. I promise I'll always
- 16:04protect you and do my best to be an example
- 16:06of a good godly man, just like my daddy was
- 16:09for me. Next, Keith Urban announced as headliner for upcoming
- 16:15CBS singing competition series The Road. Keith Urban is looking
- 16:20for the next music superstars. The country star fifty seven
- 16:24will be headlining a new music competition series called The
- 16:26Road in the hopes of finding fresh musical talents. The
- 16:30show will premiere this fall, CBS announced on Tuesday. The
- 16:34upcoming series is executive co produced by Blake Shelton and
- 16:38follows the pair's journey to discover the next big musician
- 16:41as emerging talents open for Urban at music venues across America.
- 16:45The audience will also have a say in which musicians
- 16:47get to continue on the tour and move to the
- 16:50next city. I spent a lot of my underage life
- 16:53playing in some CD pubs, sometimes just for the bartender,
- 16:57so I love the idea of throwing artists into a
- 16:59real world in to find out if they are artists,
- 17:02Urban said in a press release. The four time Grammy
- 17:05winner explained that the young artists appearing on the show
- 17:07will get the chance to learn lessons about the business
- 17:10that can't be taught, helping them flourish in their music careers.
- 17:15Paying your dues sucks, but there are things in this
- 17:17business that can't be taught, like how to put together
- 17:19a set list, whether to extend or cut a song
- 17:22during your performance, or how to work the crowd, said Urban.
- 17:26He added that performing on stage is where the emerging
- 17:28musicians will get to prove themselves as artists. For me,
- 17:32touring has always been my first love, said Urban. It's
- 17:34where the rubber meets the road, but it's the only
- 17:37road to take if you want to be a performer.
- 17:40The road offers are behind the scenes look at life
- 17:42on the road as a musician and the grueling tour
- 17:44schedule as performers travel together to follow their dreams of
- 17:47becoming successful artists. Urban will perform his biggest hits and
- 17:52new music alongside the musical hopefuls in a series of
- 17:55shows in March, which will be filmed for the series
- 17:57as it airs later this year. His first show will
- 18:00be held in Fort Worth on Sunday, March second. He
- 18:03will then travel to Dallas and Oklahoma to perform before
- 18:06closing out his last show at the Ryman Auditorium in
- 18:09Nashville on April second. Now we jump on over to
- 18:13Saving Country Music for News and Commentary with the first
- 18:17article dated February twenty fifth. North Springs Music Festival reveals

- 18:29of independent country and roots music championed around these parts.

- 18:35take out a second mortgage to pay for tickets, but
- 18:38still see some of the best talent available, the North
- 18:41Springs Music Festival in Tennessee is an excellent option. The
- 18:45twenty twenty five version lineup features them Dirty Roses, Taylor Honeycut,

- 20:05twenty four version drawing folks from twenty five states. Next,
- 20:10Charlie Crockett announces new tour dates for twenty twenty five.
- 20:15Get on board with Charlie Crockett or get out of
- 20:17the way before you get trucked. The dude is on
- 20:20a tear and isn't stopping or slowing down for anybody.
- 20:23Crockett already has folks frothing with anticipation ahead of the
- 20:26release of his new album, Lonesome Drifter, coming out March fourteenth.
- 20:31It will be his first on a major label, Island Records,
- 20:34and is produced by Shooter Jennings. Now he's reinforcing his
- 20:37live appearances for twenty twenty five with a round of
- 20:40new dates, including some marquee appearances to go along with
- 20:43the career achievement of being picked to perform at the
- 20:45massive Rodeo Houston in March Crockett will be headlining Red
- 20:49Rocks in June with Chaparral and Austin's Rattlesnake Milk opening.
- 20:53He's also going to be appearing as the opener for
- 20:56Tyler Childers on consecutive nights at Nashville's in October. In between,
- 21:02Crockett will be touring out to the West Coast, through
- 21:05the Deep South, up to the Midwest, and many parts
- 21:07in between. They don't call Crockett one of the hardest
- 21:10working men in music for nothing. Don't be surprised if
- 21:13in between these dates he finds the opportunity to record
- 21:16another album or two. For twenty twenty five, the only
- 21:20dates near relatively near us would be in Let's see
- 21:23Knoxville on May tenth at the Southern Sky's Music and
- 21:26Whiskey Festival. Now, let's go for a taste of country
- 21:30with the first article dated there on February twenty fifth.
- 21:34Tiger Lily Golds Forever from Here signals a shift in
- 21:37country nostalgia. With Forever from Here, Tiger Lily Gold just
- 21:42released their first number one radio hit. The song may
- 21:45foretell something bigger. However, there is an innocence to the
- 21:49love story that sounds far away familiar. Sonically, it's as
- 21:52straightforward as it gets, relying on a sweet melody and
- 21:55personal love stories to maximize impact. Credit Kendra and Christas
- 22:00slob Off for trusting the simplicity and not trying to
- 22:03over sing this song. Their fine vocalists and their time
- 22:06will come out. But Forever from Here is about song,
- 22:08not artists. I can see a house where the shutters blue,
- 22:12a couple of kids that look like you. Tiger Lilly
- 22:14Gould sing at the chorus of Forever from Here, kiss
- 22:18me right now, don't need no reason baby this loves
- 22:20in harvest season. Find the full lyrics to Forever from
- 22:23Here when and listen closely. One has to wonder if
- 22:27the two sisters and co writers Pete Good and Shane
- 22:29mcinally pondered that country cliche before hitting sand Maybe it's
- 22:34a bit too sweet for some, but within the context
- 22:36of a single, it's short of corny.
- 22:38Speaker 2: In fact, it may even be bold.
- 22:41Speaker 1: Actually that lyric is the song's signature and a reminder
- 22:44of a simpler time in country music. Anyone else getting
- 22:46major early two thousands country vibes from this song, Think
- 22:50She Daisy or Jessica Andrews or even Faith Hill's more
- 22:53bubbly tracks. A shift to the decade seems inevitable as
- 22:57appreciation of the nineteen nineties has slowly crept and.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Later in the decade.
- 23:02Speaker 1: That's great news for hit makers from that era who
- 23:04are still relevant, looking at you, Terry Clark, but may
- 23:08be bad news for those unimpressed with what's to come
- 23:11In ten years. Are we all going to be paying
- 23:13tribute to the great pro country artists of the twenty tens.
- 23:17Perhaps our collective nostalgia will skip it like we did
- 23:20with the eighties. Next, Luke Combe's mama got a personal
- 23:26tour of his bar. Here's her review. Lukecomb's mother, Ronda,
- 23:30was one proud mama as she saw his downtown Nashville
- 23:34bar for the very first time. Video posted to the
- 23:37venue's Instagram page shows Ronda soaking it all in as
- 23:40she takes a tour and sharing her favorite.
- 23:42Speaker 2: Parts about the place.
- 23:45Speaker 1: Comb's new Lower Broadway bar, Category ten is open now
- 23:48clocking in and a whopping sixty nine thousand square feet
- 23:51A hot spot features a variety of different amenities, including
- 23:54a rooftop bar, a main stage, and a special honky
- 23:57tonk dedicated to live entertainment. As she toured the facilities,
- 24:02Mama Combs raved about how incredible each spot in the
- 24:04bar was. I'm so proud of it too, you know
- 24:07how fun, she commented. As she walked around each area,
- 24:11Rondas spent extra time at the eye, a seven thousand
- 24:14square foot rooftop deck that is the largest outdoor deck
- 24:17in the Broadway area.
- 24:19Speaker 2: I love it.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Oh, this looks so good, she says, grinning ear to ear.
- 24:22Oh my gosh, look at this view. You know everybody
- 24:25will be coming here because it's facing the stadium and
- 24:28it's on the river, she noted, looking out at the
- 24:30jaw dropping views of downtown Nashville. Oh are you kidding me?
- 24:35Ronda's Rave review was, of course a little biased, since
- 24:38her son is the brainchild behind Category ten, but she's
- 24:41got good reason to be so proud. Not only did
- 24:44Colmebs recently open up one of the most ambitious of
- 24:46all Star bars on Broadway, but he's among the country
- 24:49genre's most successful modern artists barn Not only that, but
- 24:55Colmbs has never stopped giving back to the state where
- 24:57he grew up in North Carolina. As we mentioned after
- 25:00last year's Hurricane Helene. Combs teamed up with Eric Church
- 25:03to quickly put together the benefit show that we spoke
- 25:06about earlier, which takes us to the lists from Taste
- 25:10of Country This Week. Top twenty Luke Comb's Songs that

- 25:22follows Number twenty Joe. Several of Comb's hits have included
- 25:26references to drinking, such as beer Never Broke My Heart,
- 25:29Cold as You, and Cold Beer Calling My Name. But
- 25:32this is a star contrast from Comb's typical typical drinking songs.
- 25:37Number nineteen Love You Anyway. It's a dichotomy of love
- 25:40and heartbreak, inspired by his wife Nicole. Number eighteen six
- 25:45Feet Apart was never an official radio single, but it
- 25:48still climbed inside the top forty on unsolicited airplay back
- 25:51in twenty twenty. Number seventeen One Too Many has been

- 26:10Love We Make Colms takes a wildly romantic turn with
- 26:13the Kind of Love We Make number fourteen, Going, Going Gone.
- 26:17The inspiration behind the song was Tracy Chapman's song Fast
- 26:21Car number.
- 26:23Speaker 2: Thirteen, Doing This.
- 26:25Speaker 1: If you know lu Colmbs, you know how humble he
- 26:27is despite his success. He's always the same guy he
- 26:29was eight years ago when he was trying to make it.
- 26:32Number twelve, Cold as You anthemics stick to your ex
- 26:36drinking song seemed to be Combs's forte so it's no
- 26:39surprise Cold as You topped the Country Airplay chart number
- 26:43eleven one. Number Away was Colmbs's third consecutive number one
- 26:47hit on the Country Airplay chart, and now the top
- 26:50ten songs from Luke Combs that prove he was going
- 26:53to make it. According to Taste of Country Does to

- 27:02Speaker 2: When it Rains It Pours.
- 27:04Speaker 1: This triple platinum follow up to Combe's debut single Hurricane
- 27:08flips the Bird to Buzzkills and it was Impossible to
- 27:11get away from. In the summer of twenty seventeen number
- 27:15eight Beer Never Broke My Heart. In November eighteen, twenty eighteen,
- 27:19Combs hinted that he planned to finally release Beer Never
- 27:22Broke My Heart, a song that had been a highlight
- 27:24of his live show for many months to that point.
- 27:28Number seven Hurricane started it all for Luke Combs. He
- 27:31took a chance and cut the demo on his own dime,
- 27:33and that was good enough to get him a record deal.
- 27:36Number six songs from Luke Combs's Taste of Country. She's
- 27:39Got the Best of Me was the first of four
- 27:42Lucomb's songs from the deluxe version of his debut album,
- 27:45two of which hit number one. Number five would be
- 27:48Loving You. While not Lucombe's most elaborate lyric, the honky
- 27:52Tonkin Lovin You showcases his big country voice. Number four
- 27:56Better Together stands out between two of the more bombats
- 28:00stick songs from Luke Combe's catalog. Number three, Even though
- 28:04I'm leaving the number one, Lucomb's song is subjective with
- 28:08this early twenty twenty circle of life ballad showcases him.
- 28:11Speaker 2: As a strong storyteller.
- 28:13Speaker 1: Number two Forever. After All, it's hard not to write
- 28:17a beautiful love song when your own wife is Your
- 28:19Muse and the number one song from Luke Combs's Taste
- 28:22of Country, Beautiful Crazy in early twenty nineteen. Beautiful Crazy
