Transcript
- 0:02>> Speaker A: jasmine, oolong, green
- 0:05and white. Long ago, these four
- 0:08teas were skillfully brewed at the blissful brew.
- 0:11Then everything changed when the shops
- 0:14popularity threatened its existence.
- 0:16All Mister Okaron, the shops owner and tea
- 0:19master, could do was to recruit four teenage
- 0:22orphans to learn his trade and staff his
- 0:25shop. A year has passed since the orphans were
- 0:28hired, and although their skills have progressed, they
- 0:31still have a lot to learn before they can brew anything.
- 0:34But I believe that they have the potential to make the
- 0:36blissful brew the greatest tea shop in the
- 0:39world. Last time
- 0:42on benders and brews, an avatar Legends
- 0:44podcast.
- 0:51Madam Yang and
- 0:54before you stands, sure enough,
- 0:57the aforementioned Madame Yang inside of this,
- 1:00this chamber where all these fancy,
- 1:03air nation relics and so on and so forth, this
- 1:06sort of inner sanctum. she's holding what seems to be a case. Now,
- 1:09this is obviously the next clue that Mister Okaran had left
- 1:12behind. Here, in addition to that, in her hand,
- 1:15she holds what looks like a small
- 1:17clay turtle. What's she doing here?
- 1:20>> Speaker B: I don't know who you are, but the
- 1:23relic in your hand, that is very old and very
- 1:26important.
- 1:26>> Speaker A: You're ready to go.
- 1:28>> Speaker C: it seems you have no wish to hear the
- 1:31tales of how I
- 1:33followed and stopped your every
- 1:36move. Maybe you can stop
- 1:39by my up and coming
- 1:41hot leaf juice gowling
- 1:45shop once we're open
- 1:47and, I'll dish all the
- 1:50details.
- 1:51>> Speaker A: She's using. Seize a position and she
- 1:53bolts for the opening, grabs one of
- 1:56the robes and hops out the door.
- 1:59>> Speaker C: I am gonna use one of the empty
- 2:01pedestals. I'm just gonna shove it towards
- 2:04somebody or something.
- 2:05>> Speaker A: So you grab one of these pedestals that's sitting in the room
- 2:08and you just hurl it at one of the, hot leaf
- 2:11juice employees. It slams into this employee
- 2:14and they are now impaired. I'm going
- 2:17to lift up a small segment of dirt
- 2:20at his feet and push his ankle out
- 2:23so he trips him up. I will be seizing a
- 2:26position, a ring a ding ding, the old rock
- 2:28elevator. And I'm going down about
- 2:31100ft and meet Madame Yang where she's
- 2:34at. I'm gonna pop out. So you start shooting down.
- 2:37You ready yourself to pop out and
- 2:39hopefully stop Madame Yang.
- 2:47welcome, everybody, to another episode of
- 2:50benders and brews, season three,
- 2:52specifically episode six. I'm Skylar.
- 2:55I'm your host. Oh, man. I'm starting to wonder if I did
- 2:58a GM fact last time. Remember? I did
- 3:01one on one of the episodes, but I don't know if I did it on both.
- 3:04We'll survive. Oh, okay.
- 3:06>> Speaker C: Thank God nobody cares about you.
- 3:07>> Speaker A: So I kind of just throw something in just for
- 3:10the kitty, my own laughs, just
- 3:13to make me feel a little bit better about. No, I'm just kidding. Ah, yeah. Awesome.
- 3:16Okay, well, whatever the case, you just heard the recap,
- 3:19and I'm gonna just jump right in because I know you guys are on the edge of your
- 3:22seats about what the heck is about to happen to Brock Lee as he comes
- 3:25flying out of a mountain towards.
- 3:27>> Speaker C: He's obviously gonna be the winner.
- 3:29>> Speaker A: The what? Er?
- 3:30>> Speaker C: Winner.
- 3:31>> Speaker A: The winner.
- 3:32>> Speaker C: Winner. Winner.
- 3:33>> Speaker A: This game has a winner.
- 3:35>> Speaker C: Chicken wing dinner.
- 3:37>> Speaker A: Well, whatever the case, we'll jump into character
- 3:40facts, and I'll start on my right with
- 3:43Dave, who very confidently earlier said he had a
- 3:46character fact ready. Yeah,
- 3:48Guo Han is a big fan
- 3:51of garbage day, and by
- 3:54that, I mean he
- 3:57goes around on garbage day. Well,
- 3:59more like early in the morning before
- 4:02the garbage is taken out, and
- 4:05he goes dumpster diving.
- 4:08Hey. And
- 4:10makes a garbage,
- 4:14day meal out of the food he finds.
- 4:16Oh.
- 4:17>> Speaker C: Oh, no, that's raunchy.
- 4:20>> Speaker A: Oh, no. That was in a direction I
- 4:23was not expecting, but. But
- 4:26it did inspire, what my dm, pack is gonna
- 4:29be. So thank you, Dave. Oh, you're welcome.
- 4:32Awesome. All right, well, does he, does he leave
- 4:35ratings for people's garbage too?
- 4:38Nah, probably not.
- 4:40>> Speaker C: He just knows he should go back.
- 4:42>> Speaker A: To those people, I'm sure. Yeah, I'm sure. Mentally
- 4:45keeps track of, like, hey, those.
- 4:46>> Speaker C: Guys regular, they give out the king size candy
- 4:49bars.
- 4:50>> Speaker A: They throw out the candy. So many,
- 4:53but awesome. All right,
- 4:55fantastic. Jumping over to Mikayla.
- 4:58>> Speaker C: jumping over to Mikayla play Micah.
- 5:01Yeah, she's not that happy of a person.
- 5:03But anyway, Mika's fun fact is
- 5:06she has no more fun facts.
- 5:08>> Speaker A: She's completely. Wanna name your Fox episode six of
- 5:11season three.
- 5:12>> Speaker C: He has a name.
- 5:13>> Speaker A: What's the name?
- 5:14>> Speaker C: Poe.
- 5:15>> Speaker A: Oh, that's the name.
- 5:16>> Speaker C: Yeah, we've said this, like, ten times.
- 5:18>> Speaker A: I don't.
- 5:19>> Speaker C: Throughout the show, have we? Yes, we
- 5:22have.
- 5:24>> Speaker A: One of my favorite podcast, like, actual play podcast,
- 5:27dungeons and daddies. One of the things that they did was one of the
- 5:29guys, because they also do, like, a fun fact about the character at the beginning of
- 5:32the episode, and one of the guys was so out
- 5:35of fun facts for his character that he just started
- 5:38going through the senses. So he's like, my character's
- 5:41favorite smell is, and my character's
- 5:44favorite thing to touch is and, like, so on and so
- 5:47forth. You could totally steal that idea.
- 5:50>> Speaker C: What's Mika's favorite, but, like, where's the creativity
- 5:53in that?
- 5:53>> Speaker A: there's a lot of creativity in that.
- 5:55>> Speaker C: Let's see.
- 5:57>> Speaker A: What's her favorite smell?
- 5:59>> Speaker C: What if she can't smell?
- 6:00>> Speaker A: Whoa. Whoa.
- 6:02>> Speaker C: I feel like that would have come up by now.
- 6:04>> Speaker A: She were. I don't know. I mean, has anything come up? Oh, yeah,
- 6:07she probably would have. She's just a dishwasher,
- 6:10though. What's that smell?
- 6:11>> Speaker C: Dirty.
- 6:12>> Speaker A: Is it guo's garbage day jambalaya?
- 6:15Or is it fresh baked
- 6:18muffins? I don't know.
- 6:20>> Speaker C: Mika's favorite smell would
- 6:23probably have something to do with something
- 6:26outdoors, actually. We can get
- 6:28real sad, and it can be,
- 6:32her mom made a very yummy dessert,
- 6:35like, forever ago, obviously,
- 6:37and she's just really sad about it. Cause she hasn't had
- 6:40that experience of that smell.
- 6:42>> Speaker A: Right.
- 6:43>> Speaker C: You know, if she gets that smell, it would very
- 6:45much.
- 6:46>> Speaker A: It would change everything.
- 6:47>> Speaker C: You know, just put her back in a happier time.
- 6:50>> Speaker A: Oh, it wouldn't get her all emotional. Well, I guess it would be a.
- 6:53>> Speaker C: Positive emotion by deCoraz, probably, but.
- 6:56>> Speaker A: All right.
- 6:57>> Speaker C: Who's that?
- 6:57>> Speaker A: It's okay. Cameron, gave us a really
- 7:00dark one about Bill last time, so it's totally
- 7:03fair that you give us kind.
- 7:04>> Speaker C: Of a. I feel like most of mine end up being dark. You
- 7:07know, she watches fish in the stream and make up stories about
- 7:10them because she's a lonely child.
- 7:14>> Speaker A: Micah's her own person, that's for sure.
- 7:17Awesome. All right, Connor,
- 7:20I am Brock. Lee and Brock
- 7:23just learned, Mika's fox dog
- 7:26has a name. This whole time,
- 7:29he just, you know, the fox dog just kind of
- 7:32spawns out of nowhere. And he was like, wow, I wonder what its name
- 7:34is. And now he knows his name. It's Poe.
- 7:37It's Poe, apparently. Allegedly.
- 7:40I mean, I don't disagree with the. Sometimes he just kind of pops out of
- 7:43nowhere, and then sometimes it's like, man, where was he in this,
- 7:46like, you guys were captured by pirates? Did they just were like,
- 7:49oh, yeah, grab the fox. Grab the fox dog. He's
- 7:52with them. I mean, I can, I can buy Dilbert
- 7:55just.
- 7:55>> Speaker C: I told you, half the time he hides in my skirt.
- 7:58>> Speaker A: Yeah, that's true. You did. You did. Establish that. So where's
- 8:01Dilbert? Where's,
- 8:01>> Speaker C: he's a very scared dog.
- 8:05>> Speaker A: I like to think. Whoa. Wears a back skirt.
- 8:06>> Speaker C: Do he have a backpack?
- 8:08>> Speaker A: Yeah, he's usually in my satchel.
- 8:10>> Speaker C: Yeah, see, we haven't seen him a
- 8:13long time. I don't think he's even with us anymore.
- 8:15>> Speaker A: Oh, yeah. No, he was definitely. Somebody mentioned him a couple episodes,
- 8:18like, two episodes ago. Because you were, It was when you were
- 8:20juggling and. Or. Whoa, was juggling,
- 8:23and then you guys are collecting money.
- 8:25>> Speaker C: That's how he was successful, because Dilbert was helping
- 8:28him.
- 8:28>> Speaker A: Well, I wasn't gonna go that far, but Dilbert was helping to collect
- 8:31the money from the guards.
- 8:32>> Speaker C: Anyway, what's. Is that really your fun fact, Bill?
- 8:35>> Speaker A: Burt, more.
- 8:36>> Speaker C: You have to have a more of a fun fact than
- 8:39that.
- 8:40>> Speaker A: Better than. I have no idea. Fun fact.
- 8:42What's your favorite?
- 8:44>> Speaker C: This is a very sad episode.
- 8:46>> Speaker A: My favorite sense of. My favorite smell.
- 8:49Brock's favorite. There we are.
- 8:51>> Speaker C: Rock's.
- 8:52>> Speaker A: Brock's favorite smell. Although he doesn't drink it.
- 8:55Oh, he's a fan of the smell of brewing
- 8:58tea. That's his favorite smell. Even though
- 9:01he's in the tea. Wait, is Brock also not drinking tea? Yeah, I was gonna say. Hold on. Brock
- 9:04doesn't drink tea? I don't remember. Well,
- 9:07Bill's whole thing was that he didn't like tea. No,
- 9:09Brock's. I think he does drink tea. Brock
- 9:12drinks? Yeah, I think he drinks, like,
- 9:15citrusy tea.
- 9:17>> Speaker C: The smell of the tea, though, is far
- 9:19better than the taste.
- 9:20>> Speaker A: Is there a certain tea like the smell of the tea? That can be true.
- 9:23>> Speaker C: That's what I'm picking up, necessarily.
- 9:25>> Speaker A: Just the smell of. Well, I guess it's just boiling
- 9:28water. Cause then you put the tea in. He loves
- 9:31the smell of boiling water. He smells the smell of steam,
- 9:34the smell of hot water. Oh, that's the
- 9:37good stuff. That's why it's a dishwasher.
- 9:41Oh, this is the good stuff,
- 9:44Mister okra. Keep it coming.
- 9:48Yeah, just hot water. Hot water.
- 9:51>> Speaker C: All right, that tracks.
- 9:53>> Speaker A: Yeah, that fits. All right, finally, last but not least,
- 9:56we got Cameron. Hello, Cameron. Who are
- 9:59you? Bill Dore. Bill
- 10:02doar. What's your interesting character?
- 10:05Fan. So, Noah, known as.
- 10:07>> Speaker C: I forgot his real name. Ash ketchum. got it.
- 10:09>> Speaker A: Not, again.
- 10:12Ash. I never said his last name, but,
- 10:15no, I figured one of them
- 10:18would have asked. Nope, they haven't. So that's the end of the. No, no. We
- 10:21asked, but you never told me. As Brock comes flying out of
- 10:24the mountain, falling towards Madam Yang, he shouts out,
- 10:27hey, Bill, what's your real last
- 10:30name? It makes sense, Bill, not to
- 10:33ask when we were around. Well, whatever the case, what
- 10:36is Bill's, interesting fact?
- 10:39>> Speaker C: this is what he does every time. He always
- 10:42says, oh,
- 10:44and then Skyler.
- 10:46>> Speaker A: Has to go in and cut things of something
- 10:48immediately on the spot. And I go, yeah, that's the good
- 10:51stuff. So what is basically how I dm the
- 10:54entire time? yeah, that trunks.
- 10:56>> Speaker C: Okay.
- 10:57>> Speaker A: But anyway, so give us a good, well, I was thinking through
- 11:00senses as well, but I was thinking of different ones.
- 11:02>> Speaker C: And I was thinking, what's his favorite.
- 11:03>> Speaker A: Sound, his favorite psychic
- 11:06sensation? I feel like I've already said his.
- 11:09I already have said what his favorite sound is
- 11:12in the past episode. because I'm pretty sure I said it was
- 11:14his mom. His mom playing the harp
- 11:17was his favorite sound. But I think I was gonna
- 11:20do touch. And his favorite touch
- 11:23is that of his
- 11:27feet.
- 11:27>> Speaker C: Ew.
- 11:29>> Speaker A: On cold marble floors,
- 11:32chilly in the morning. That'll wake you up, that's for
- 11:34sure.
- 11:35>> Speaker C: Why did we have to go? Anyway, moving on.
- 11:38>> Speaker A: All right. Theme song. Interesting fact
- 11:40about Skyler that thankfully, was
- 11:43reminded of me by Dave and Guohan's interesting fact. Dave
- 11:46and I actually, a few times went dumpster
- 11:49diving. it was quite the escapade. We went out
- 11:52in the black of night and we went to one of the nearby
- 11:54colleges where students were getting moved
- 11:57out. So they threw out a bunch of furniture and stuff, which we
- 12:00then took for ourselves. Cause it was in the
- 12:02dumpster, so it's free game. And the dumpsters
- 12:05were open, so we didn't really put ourselves in any kind of danger in
- 12:08order to get it. Just to clarify that for anybody that's gonna yell at
- 12:11us online later, you.
- 12:14>> Speaker C: Know, if you have nothing nice to say, maybe just don't say it.
- 12:17>> Speaker A: That's right. And also, if you need to move a futon
- 12:20down the street, a great way to do it is on a
- 12:22longboard. And with that, we'll jump
- 12:25into episode six
- 12:33out of the, mountain. Brock
- 12:35Lee comes flying out, grabbing some rocks
- 12:38as he goes. Brock, I was, I think I was gonna
- 12:41have you in the midst of a combat
- 12:44exchange, so I'm gonna have to assume, that you're
- 12:47going to be doing
- 12:49advance and attack. Advance and attack. I think I'm gonna
- 12:52seize a position. I'm gonna snow. Madam Yang
- 12:55is definitely seizing a position as she uses
- 12:58her rocket power, firebending,
- 13:01to lower herself and then hop into
- 13:04the cart. And you hear her scream,
- 13:07go, go.
- 13:10>> Speaker C: Well, and he just smashes.
- 13:12>> Speaker A: So broccoli is as he's tumbling, as he's not
- 13:15tumbling, as he's flying down the mountain,
- 13:17reaches behind him, and earth bends a
- 13:20giant boulder and throws it at
- 13:23the carriage. The boulder itself
- 13:26being larger than the
- 13:28carriage. So if it were to make contact,
- 13:32would surely squish the
- 13:34entire contents of, that's a big boulder.
- 13:37Okay, here's my question before you
- 13:40roll, because there's a part of me that really hopes that you
- 13:43roll. Actually, a very large part of me that hopes that you
- 13:46roll really low, as the sadistic dm here.
- 13:49But here's my question to you. Of the advance and
- 13:52attack options. I feel like this
- 13:54situation that you're doing could technically apply
- 13:57to any three of them, depending on what your
- 14:00goal is. So I'm curious, which one
- 14:03will you or would you choose if you
- 14:05succeed, in case you don't succeed,
- 14:08and then everybody gets to know what you were going for and then fail.
- 14:11That. That's. That's why I want to establish this. I would have
- 14:14to say it. And with what he's trying to do,
- 14:17I would say, strike. Strike. Strike are so
- 14:20in reach, forcing them to mark two fatigue, mark a conditioner,
- 14:23shift their bounce away from center. Their choice, mark one fatigue. To
- 14:26instead choose to hammer them with your blows,
- 14:29force them to mark two fatigue, or strike where they are weak,
- 14:32inflicting a condition. Gotcha. but I'm guessing if the condition
- 14:35is not squished, then might
- 14:38not apply. I'm sorry to say I don't see the
- 14:41squished condition as an option. Well, we're
- 14:44about to make one, but that's only if I roll well,
- 14:46though. Yes. So
- 14:50I will say my balance
- 14:53adds three, because this definitely applies to
- 14:55force, I would imagine. Yes.
- 14:59Yes. Okay, so I need to roll. So you're using your
- 15:02balance to roll for this? Well, it's
- 15:04either balance or passion, right? Well, it's a
- 15:07plus two or plus three. Okay, well, you decide.
- 15:10Cause to roll with your balance. You're gonna take a
- 15:13fatigue for doing that.
- 15:16I wanna see what happens. I'll take a fatigue. All right, he's gonna
- 15:19max this out. I'm gonna take a fatigue
- 15:22and hurl this giant boulder
- 15:24down at the carriage. That madam Yang. Roll a two. Roll
- 15:27a two. Roll a two. Oh, 13.
- 15:31Oh, my gosh. Okay. Well, then, with that in
- 15:33mind. With that in mind, you get to take
- 15:36two basic techniques. Say
- 15:39what? All right, so, I mean, obviously, strike.
- 15:42Okay, so I imagine that, you've
- 15:45got a giant boulder, and then you also were able to grab
- 15:47a smaller boulder. So the smaller boulder is the strike. And then I
- 15:50imagine the bigger boulder could, in theory. I mean, unless
- 15:53you want to strike twice. But the bigger boulder could, in
- 15:56theory, apply to one of the other two
- 15:59options. I can afford to do
- 16:02smash, mark another fatigue to destroy or
- 16:04destabilize something in the environment, possibly
- 16:07inflicting or overcoming a fictionally appropriate positive or negative
- 16:10status. Right. And then are you for
- 16:12yourself? starting with the strike, are you taking
- 16:15the fatigue to inflict extra.
- 16:19I can't afford to take another fatigue. Cannot afford it. Okay,
- 16:22so she's either going to take two two fatigue or
- 16:25she's going to mark a condition. So if I strike twice,
- 16:28wouldn't that mean she takes four fatigue or two conditions?
- 16:31Or two conditions. True. Yeah.
- 16:34So I'll say
- 16:36strike and then I'll use one extra fatigue for
- 16:39smash to destroy the
- 16:42carriage. Oh, yeah, that's probably a
- 16:44solid bet. And it definitely puts
- 16:47Skyler. Well, you're, you're doing a fictionally.
- 16:50Oh, shoot. Yeah, I suppose you're right. Which I'm guessing would be
- 16:52trapped. Gosh. And I, as the GM, can
- 16:55really not argue with that because fictionally speaking,
- 16:58it really does make a lot of sense that you
- 17:01just hurled a giant boulder down and it busted the
- 17:04cart. Let's go. as much as I hate
- 17:07to.
- 17:07>> Speaker C: Admit it, you should have thought about this when you were writing the
- 17:10story with that guy in mind.
- 17:12>> Speaker A: Yeah, well, you know, I just didn't think of the whole
- 17:15idea of dropping through
- 17:18stone at 100ft
- 17:20per 6 seconds. Terminal velocity.
- 17:23Yeah. All right. You
- 17:26leap from this mountain as where we left you
- 17:29off in previous episode, grabbing two hunks
- 17:32of rock with your earth, bending as you go.
- 17:34Madame Yang lowering herself to the ground with her
- 17:37sort of her jet streams, hopping into the
- 17:40cart, screaming at the driver to drive away, looks up
- 17:43and sees as two giant
- 17:46boulder chunks come flying down,
- 17:48smashing into the cart, crushing the very wood
- 17:51around her. not far behind
- 17:54you, Guru Topek is flying down as well,
- 17:57on his way to try to retrieve the thing she had
- 18:00stolen from his temple.
- 18:01>> Speaker C: Hopefully you didn't just smash.
- 18:03>> Speaker A: Yeah, that. Hopefully you didn't just crush. whatever the
- 18:06case, we jump into, the next
- 18:09combat, exchange round, whatever you want to call
- 18:12it. Pick your approach. I'll
- 18:15advance an attack. He's going to advance and attack. She is
- 18:18also going to advance
- 18:20and attack. So you get to go first.
- 18:23Now, being trapped, did you mark the three
- 18:26conditions or fatigue? Ah, yes, you're right. She does have to
- 18:29do that. So she either has to take five
- 18:32fatigue, a combination of five fatigue
- 18:35and. Or. No, three. Three
- 18:37fatigue or three conditions. Well.
- 18:40Oh, yeah, three. Wait, wouldn't it be. No, it would be
- 18:43five. Right, because, well, in total, in total.
- 18:46Yeah, because strike makes a mark two and then trap
- 18:49makes a mark three. Additional. Or there's
- 18:52also the option to take
- 18:54the conditions. Or the conditions. Yeah, yeah.
- 18:57So three, fatigue or conditions.
- 18:59Okay, so I shall advance
- 19:03and also attack. Where's
- 19:05everybody else? I'm killing it out here. Well, they're all inside the
- 19:08mountains. Oh, yeah, you're right.
- 19:10>> Speaker C: You know, attacking the people.
- 19:12>> Speaker A: They're all not you left behind. Well, you know, I
- 19:15went after that. All right, so what are you, okay,
- 19:17so you're doing advance and attack. Roll with passion. no,
- 19:20I guess I won't do it. I rolled a five. A five. Oof.
- 19:23Yeah, that's not quite enough. As you
- 19:26essentially hit the ground in kind of a
- 19:28classic sort, of like, avengers style three
- 19:31point landing. You stand up and you.
- 19:34What were you. I guess, what were you attempting to do? Cause you were probably
- 19:37gonna strike again. Well, no, I was
- 19:39actually planning on pressure to intimidate
- 19:42a. Oh, okay. All right.
- 19:45however, I cannot do that. I can, like,
- 19:47roast her, and she's. I was gonna say, I think you attempt to
- 19:50roast her. You say something, and it just really doesn't
- 19:53land. What if I, like, give me
- 19:56back what you stole. But, like, my voice cracks and she.
- 19:59Give me back what you stole. Give me. Give me back what
- 20:02you stole.
- 20:03>> Speaker C: Oh, the child. I
- 20:05always knew you were starting to
- 20:08show.
- 20:10>> Speaker A: She approaches and she
- 20:13starts. She starts throwing a series
- 20:15of, sort of flame. Flame hand,
- 20:18flame paw, whatever you want to call is that they have hands.
- 20:21It's not paws, but I digress. Flame
- 20:24hands.
- 20:27And she does, strike. Now, given. Given
- 20:30her sort of status, like the capability of
- 20:33color flames, she has a major NPC.
- 20:36they are regular flame. She is not. She's not. She's
- 20:39not Azula with the blue flame. She's not that expertise.
- 20:42She's focused too much on her tea to spend
- 20:45excess. Such a sick fight. Anyways. Yeah, it's
- 20:47true. anyway, so you have three sets
- 20:50of strike coming your way. Three set. Well, that's
- 20:53not very nice. Yeah. So is that, like, six
- 20:56fatigue? It'd be six fatigue or
- 20:58three conditions. Whatever
- 21:01the case, she's a very strong
- 21:04NPC. I mean, she's an adult, and she's
- 21:06obviously been taught to fight, even though she
- 21:09doesn't necessarily seem like somebody that has
- 21:12to use it often. Okay, so I'm gonna mark
- 21:15two fatigue. Okay. And one condition.
- 21:18Yes. Well,
- 21:21I'm already angry. Or
- 21:24those don't reset because it's the same. Right.
- 21:26It'd be the same. Yeah. situation. I will be
- 21:29angry and insecure. Okay. Insecure about my
- 21:32voice crack. Yeah.
- 21:35>> Speaker C: You're too old for that.
- 21:37>> Speaker A: Yeah, apparently not. We're never too
- 21:39old. All right, fantastic. All
- 21:42right, going into the next exchange, you also
- 21:45noticed that her assistant who was driving the
- 21:48cart, they got nailed in the, whole crash. They
- 21:51look pretty weak, but they're. They're picking themselves out of the
- 21:53rubble and heading over to you to define their
- 21:56proverbial boss. So not only am I
- 21:59fighting Madame Yang now, her
- 22:02henchmen are now peeling themselves off the ground. Just.
- 22:04Just one. There was just one that was driving the cart.
- 22:07Okay, which approach are you taking? Well,
- 22:10so what's the status of the cart right now? Like, they can't get
- 22:13away. yeah, it's pretty biffed up. So right
- 22:15now it's Madame Yang and another dude.
- 22:18I'll try evade and observe.
- 22:21Okay, this could be. Is that role with
- 22:24foe? It's with either creativity or
- 22:26harmony. Okay. Eleven.
- 22:29All right, so that's a success. So you can take two
- 22:33basic, moves or one master technique with that, and
- 22:36then also you clear a fatigue.
- 22:38Oh, happy day. Yeah.
- 22:41okay, so I will bolster or hinder.
- 22:45I'm going to impede a nearby character.
- 22:48That character being which one is strong?
- 22:51I would imagine Madame Yang is stronger. So
- 22:54I will just kind of,
- 22:57like, scoop up some sand and
- 23:00throw it in her face to kind of
- 23:03throw her off her game. Okay, so
- 23:06she's gonna be, Let's see if that's probably stunned.
- 23:09Would she be stunned and trapped? Well, she cleared
- 23:12trapped. Oh. well, that's not very good. Obviously, by taking
- 23:15the necessary exhaustion and or conditions in
- 23:18order to essentially get herself
- 23:20out, that is. Now she's stunned
- 23:23is not very catchy. She can't act or respond for a few
- 23:26seconds. Okay. And then, well, bolster or
- 23:29hinder the other guy. Okay. What are you doing to them? I'll throw
- 23:32sand in his face. You're just, like, whipping up sand,
- 23:35throwing it in every which way direction. Scoop up two
- 23:38handfuls of sand. And just so both of them are
- 23:41stunned. They're both. Oh, gosh, my eyes. My eyes. You know,
- 23:44trying to get the sand out of their eyes. she is also
- 23:47taking evade and observe as well. And
- 23:49she is going to test
- 23:52balance. So she's going to mark one fatigue
- 23:55to challenge an engaged foes balance.
- 23:58She asks what your principle is, and you must
- 24:01answer honestly. she shouts
- 24:04out to you. She says, why do you continue
- 24:06to.
- 24:07>> Speaker C: Stand in my way when you're
- 24:10so obviously outmatched.
- 24:13>> Speaker A: And I answer honestly as to why I'm hindering her.
- 24:16Yeah. So what is your balance currently? It
- 24:19is currently force plus three.
- 24:21Force plus three. I was like, well,
- 24:25I don't know. I just live for the chaos. I don't
- 24:28know. Emerald?
- 24:33I don't know. Check out the knuckles movie coming
- 24:36soon
- 24:39cause it's fun.
- 24:41Okay. I don't know.
- 24:42>> Speaker C: And she says, you enjoy
- 24:45the thrill of the fight,
- 24:48do you? Well,
- 24:51then let's
- 24:54escalate the stakes.
- 24:57>> Speaker A: And she reaches into, she's rubbing the dust out
- 25:00of her eye and she reaches into her pocket, she pulls
- 25:02out the rib eye, a
- 25:05ribeye. She will out the turtle
- 25:07amulet and immediately.
- 25:12yeah. Where's Topeak? He was standing here. Well, that's the thing. He
- 25:15was concerned
- 25:18right now. Well, you just threw two rocks at the person
- 25:21that had the thing that he was trying to get. And I think he was just
- 25:24kind of panicked. No. Watching how Topeak is handling the
- 25:27situation, it makes sense how those air nomads got
- 25:30taken out.
- 25:34Yeah. and, yeah, and so he's just standing there
- 25:37in awe and he kind of looks at you and he looks at her
- 25:40and he's like, please, whatever.
- 25:43>> Speaker B: You do, do not let her destroy that relic.
- 25:45>> Speaker A: And he looks over at you and.
- 25:46>> Speaker B: He'S like, you have no idea the value it holds.
- 25:49>> Speaker A: It's a chaos emerald.
- 25:53So is this like another move or is this. Yeah, yeah,
- 25:56yeah. also, on a side
- 25:59note, well, I would say that
- 26:01the person is that her
- 26:04assistant is also blinded. They kind of just use
- 26:07their turn to rub their eyes and try to get it out, which
- 26:10is part of stun, you know, they're taking a moment to steady
- 26:13themselves. but she, because she gets multiple moves,
- 26:16she's going to bolster him. She's going to shout out,
- 26:19don't just.
- 26:20>> Speaker C: Stand there, you fool.
- 26:22Fix the cart.
- 26:24>> Speaker A: Ain't no way that man's fixing a smashed
- 26:27cart. I would say that he is, let's say,
- 26:30empowered and rushes over to go start fixing
- 26:33the cart instead of fighting you.
- 26:36And you see, again, another earthbender. This is just full
- 26:39earthbender mission apparently. And you can
- 26:42see that he's sort of putting stone
- 26:45onto the cart in such a way to
- 26:48kind of repair some, like the key things like broken
- 26:50wheels and things like that. All right, so then we go into the next
- 26:53combat exchange. Just rolled.
- 26:57Twas a 1010. Well, it was
- 27:00going to be another evaden. Observe. Oh, okay. Okay, so I guess it's a twelve.
- 27:03Okay, I'm gonna bolster and hinder double down again. Do I
- 27:06clear another fatigue. Yeah.
- 27:08>> Speaker C: Oh.
- 27:12>> Speaker A: He'S getting stronger. So throwing
- 27:14sand in Madame hm Yang's face again.
- 27:17Okay. And then I'm gonna yell out to,
- 27:19peek. Yep. Be like, if you
- 27:22love this amulet so much, come and fight for it.
- 27:26Are you testing his balance,
- 27:28calling him out? Sure.
- 27:32Hold on. If you're gonna call him out, that's a whole
- 27:35thing too. That's a whole thing. Like, this guy's done
- 27:38nothing. He's just standing on a perch. Get him up in the
- 27:40fray. He's this all powerful
- 27:43monk. That kind of sounds like he's calling someone out.
- 27:46When you openly call on someone to live up to their
- 27:49principles. Yeah. If you know what his principle is,
- 27:52though. Yeah. What is your. Who do you
- 27:55play for? Are you calling someone out? Because when you
- 27:57openly call someone out to low up to their principal, you shift your balance
- 28:00away from center. so I die?
- 28:03Oh, I wouldn't die. you'd go off the Edge, which isn't dying,
- 28:06but something happens. so what are. What are
- 28:09alternatives to call someone out, man. It's. Well, you can
- 28:12test his balance. Kind of the same thing, but in a combat
- 28:14exchange. Yeah, I'll do that, Cheryl. I'll test
- 28:17his balance. Be like, hey, if you love this amulet, why not come
- 28:20and fight for it? All right, so you're basically
- 28:23trying to get an idea of what his principle is. his
- 28:26principle is, let's say tradition.
- 28:29And so he definitely sees what
- 28:32you're saying. You're like, all right, if you want this amulet so
- 28:35bad, then take it, then get it. And so
- 28:38he kind of, like. He puts his hands together,
- 28:41he centers himself or whatever, and then he takes a
- 28:43stance, and he's basically readying
- 28:46himself to act. That's more
- 28:49like it. Jeez, leave me to do all your dirty
- 28:52work. Mm Mm Where is everybody? They're all
- 28:55in the mountain. This is happening while they're
- 28:57fighting. Okay, the other hot leaf
- 29:00juice employees. I gotcha. So. All right,
- 29:03then we jump. Oh, and then Madam Yang. So she basically
- 29:05take. She loses one of her,
- 29:08actions. She's stunned. She's gotta sort of
- 29:11reset herself. But, she's also. Oh, she should have
- 29:14done this before. I guess technically my bad,
- 29:17but she's gonna strike.
- 29:20So she tosses the
- 29:23amulet up into the air
- 29:26and allowing it to start to fall, which at this point,
- 29:29you've called out guru Tupiq. He sees it falling
- 29:32through the air. He's readying himself to sort of
- 29:35like airbend, maybe pull it towards him, or at the very least, just
- 29:38keep it from hitting the ground, because it's. It's. It's just like a clay
- 29:41turtle necklace, right? And then she rushes
- 29:44forward and she starts to strike you again with her
- 29:46attacks. So you're taking another strike, and she's
- 29:49gonna mark the fatigue, force you to take two.
- 29:52Fatigue? oh. Well, it's a good thing I rolled high
- 29:55last time. So
- 29:58riddle me this, Batman. How is Topek doing with
- 30:01the. With the amulet there? Well, he will take a
- 30:04combat approach. Okay. Yes. Can you pick what
- 30:07you're gonna do? Which of the three? Defend
- 30:10and maneuver. Okay, guru, Topek is also taking
- 30:12defend and maneuver. Madame, Yang is going to take
- 30:15advance and attack. So you tell me what you are doing,
- 30:18or actually, you roll first, then you tell me.
- 30:21And this is with focus.

- 31:161010. Okay, so you get two,
- 31:19options. Okay, first off.
- 31:22Yes, I'm going to.
- 31:25I'm going to retaliate. Okay. Steel yourself for their blows.
- 31:28Each time a foe inflicts fatigue, a
- 31:30condition or shifts your balance in this exchange, inflict one fatigue on
- 31:33that foe. Okay. And then I'm going to
- 31:36seize a position, and I'm going
- 31:39to attempt.
- 31:42Well, I guess I rolled a ten, so I guess it's successful.
- 31:45I'm going to attempt to grab the amulet
- 31:48if Topeak is not already on the way to do so,
- 31:51or if he is on the way to grab the amulet,
- 31:53I'm going to try an elevator
- 31:56myself up. Not
- 31:59100% out of the exchange, but, like,
- 32:02high enough to where yang can't
- 32:05quite reach, but I can at least still see her.
- 32:08Okay. Not quite in the fray. You said you're
- 32:11ready, readying yourself. retaliating.
- 32:14Yeah, you're retaliating. And then what was your second, sees a position,
- 32:16seize a position. Okay. Okay. All right. guru to peek,
- 32:19he is using, essentially seize a position.
- 32:22He's not really moving towards it, but he's using his
- 32:25airbender to cut her airbending to bring
- 32:28the amulet down to him. and then we
- 32:31jump to, madame Yang. She
- 32:34is going to use sort, of an
- 32:36interesting firebender, take on smash.
- 32:39She is going to mark one fatigue, and she
- 32:42is going to shoot flames
- 32:45upwards into the airstream that is
- 32:48now being created by guru Tupiq, who, as he's
- 32:51pulling this amulet towards him with air, she's going
- 32:54to fling fire into that very air,
- 32:57causing it to sort of follow this flow
- 33:00down towards the amulet and also
- 33:02towards guru, Tupiq himself.
- 33:06He is going to become doomed
- 33:08as this burst of flame starts m moving
- 33:11towards him. she then, turns
- 33:14to you, and she is going to
- 33:17use pressure. She looks at you
- 33:20and she says.
- 33:21>> Speaker C: Well, are, ah, you going to stand
- 33:24there and let this old man die?
- 33:27it wouldn't be the first time, am
- 33:30I right?
- 33:35>> Speaker A: I mean, I just met this guy.
- 33:38And, she's gonna take away your ability
- 33:41to advance an attack.
- 33:44Next round, we go into the
- 33:46next combat approach. So I can't advance an
- 33:49attack. Topek is apparently doomed.
- 33:52He's doomed. He's doomed.
- 33:55Well, that's just not very nice. I'll just go
- 33:58ahead and say. I'll be the first to say it. Madam Yang doesn't
- 34:01seem very nice. It's true. I'll be the first to say it. You'll be the first
- 34:04to say it. Nobody else has said it so far. People don't realize, you
- 34:07know, you would think. You would have thought that Micah would have said
- 34:10something along those lines, but she hasn't.
- 34:12>> Speaker C: What? Said what?
- 34:13>> Speaker A: that Madam Yang is not, very nice. She's not very nice. Did you know
- 34:16that? No. I think. I think Mika maybe thinks that deep down
- 34:19somewhere, there's some niceness. I think that's what Mika's thoughts
- 34:22are.
- 34:23>> Speaker C: That madame Ying is nice.
- 34:25>> Speaker A: Yeah.
- 34:25>> Speaker C: Absolutely not.
- 34:27>> Speaker A: Well, you weren't the first to say it, so. Yeah, I'll be the first to
- 34:30say it. All right, so you're upset
- 34:33about how nice she's not. but what are you gonna do about the current
- 34:36situation? I guess I'll have to defend a maneuver. Okay, sounds good.
- 34:39Roll with focus. Seven.
- 34:42Seven. So you were able to take one of those
- 34:45options? So if I see his position. Right. Yep. Like,
- 34:48so I'm. I'm at my bird's eye view. Right.
- 34:50Okay. Where is Topek? And where
- 34:53is. So you're about 10ft up in the air on this stone
- 34:56platform, as you said before, guru tape, if you were at
- 34:59ground level, he'd be about, like, 5ft, about, like,
- 35:02right behind you and maybe a little to your right. Whereas Madame Yang
- 35:05is, like, maybe five to 10ft away from
- 35:08you. She seems to be starting to, like, turn her
- 35:11back, whatever. So, that's kind of where you're at.
- 35:14All right, well, I guess I gotta help this
- 35:18stupid old man. Stupid old
- 35:20man. this guy gets into the fray for 5
- 35:23seconds, and he's already about to die. He's about to die.
- 35:26You told him to. He's
- 35:28supposedly this airbending master,
- 35:32and he can't, like. No, he's airbending
- 35:35teachings. Master Ro was definitely
- 35:37the. He's a learned man, not a
- 35:40bernid man. About to be. All right, I'm going to
- 35:43seize a position. Okay. I'm going to go over to
- 35:45Topek. Can I, like, knock him
- 35:48out of the way of El Fuego,
- 35:51him and myself out of the way of El Fuego and still get into
- 35:54a. And kind of move him off to
- 35:57the. Off to the side. Like, I
- 36:00basically get to Topek. Yeah, yeah. Move him out of the way.
- 36:04And we're, like, still where we can see
- 36:07yang. Yes. So that is. That is the plan.
- 36:09Okay. Got it. All right, so you do that.
- 36:12And as you sort of. You
- 36:15use the earth platform that you're on, and you basically just tip
- 36:18it over, you, like, break it at the base so that it starts to
- 36:21fall so that you can lunge forth and
- 36:24push guru to peak out of the way. And both of
- 36:26you stand up, and as you do, you see madam
- 36:29yang. She chose seize a position. she's
- 36:32rushing towards her cart, and
- 36:35she's hopping on, and then she's readying
- 36:38herself from the back of the cart as it starts to move.
- 36:43well, the one guy was fixing it using his earth. It's
- 36:45that plot armor we were talking about. Yeah, it's plot armor.
- 36:48You're not, supposed to say it. Yeah, we just let the
- 36:51audience think it.
- 36:54>> Speaker C: He whispered it.
- 36:55>> Speaker A: She is going to be, essentially
- 36:57prepared. Prepared, you say?
- 37:00Be prepared. Be prepared. This
- 37:03lesson must be shared. This
- 37:05lesson must be shared to be prepared. And that is
- 37:08what Madame Yang is. Is
- 37:11Topek no longer doomed? correct. He is
- 37:14no longer doomed. Now he has been pushed safely
- 37:17aside. Useless friggin ally
- 37:20man. Use a turn to save his
- 37:23skin. okay. So, moving on to the next combat approach. What
- 37:26are you doing?
- 37:29So as it stands now,
- 37:31if I were to, say, advance an attack,
- 37:34hypothetically, of course, if I were to advance an attack,
- 37:37would topek follow me? Cause if he. If
- 37:40he keeps to the code of air
- 37:43nomads, then he's probably not gonna follow
- 37:46me, because apparently they're, like, more pacifists.
- 37:49So, like, would he follow me? Because. Do we have
- 37:52the amulet? Where is he? Oh, it's still. It was falling. It was mid
- 37:54fall, as he was, like, about to catch it,
- 37:57and the flames were coming towards him. And then you tackled him out of the way from. From
- 38:00getting it. What? Here's what I'll say. Here's what I'll say.
- 38:03It is sitting there on the ground. But Yang is in her
- 38:06carriage. Yes. So she wouldn't. I
- 38:09mean, she probably wouldn't come back for it. I wouldn't imagine.
- 38:12Is she, like, is the cart leaving? Yeah, it's like
- 38:15the dude went,
- 38:19gah.
- 38:21>> Speaker C: You should have just, like, actually smashed it.
- 38:24>> Speaker A: I thought I did. I rolled a 13.
- 38:27It's not about the height of your rolls. It's just about the fiction of the
- 38:30situation. It's the blood armor. You
- 38:32can't. I just did. This is
- 38:35my first playthrough. I'm allowed to say it
- 38:38as the resident.
- 38:39>> Speaker C: He's stressing out. He's carrying this episode.
- 38:41>> Speaker A: I am K's world stuck upstairs. Well, you could
- 38:44have all followed me. He hasn't.
- 38:48Y'all coulda. You gotta finish your scene.
- 38:50Let's cut to the other guys.
- 38:53He's waiting till your scene's done.
- 38:56>> Speaker C: Just help feeling for Madam final,
- 38:59because that. That.
- 39:00>> Speaker A: Okay, you know what? I'm gonna evade an observe.
- 39:03All right. You evade an observe,
- 39:07Mika's gonna be so mad.
- 39:09eight. All right, well, you. Which. Well,
- 39:12actually, before you do that, because she's taking
- 39:15defendant, maneuver, she is going to seize
- 39:18a position, of course, as
- 39:21she starts, the cart begins to move,
- 39:24down the mountain path, and it begins to pick up
- 39:26speed. As it kind of goes further down the
- 39:29mountain, things get a little bit steeper, and she
- 39:32starts to disappear in the distance.
- 39:35Wait, wait. What about my evade and observe? Well,
- 39:38that comes at the end. Oh, that's stupid. What
- 39:41were you gonna do? What were you gonna do? I was gonna hinder and, like, make a
- 39:44speed bump or something.
- 39:47That's. Then they gotta slow down. It's the
- 39:50law. You gotta slow down for the speed bump. or, like,
- 39:53I'd make a stop sign up here next to the
- 39:56carriage. Beats me.
- 39:59Every 10ft, there would be a stop sign.
- 40:01Well, this is why.
- 40:04This is why the combat approaches have an order.
- 40:07Because sometimes they use the move
- 40:10that gets them out of the situation, and therefore,
- 40:13you can't manipulate the situation.
- 40:16well, I may as well hinder somebody. So I'm gonna just, like.
- 40:19I'm gonna throw sand in my own face.
- 40:22You're just so upset.
- 40:25I'll just, I'll shift my
- 40:28balance. I'll commit. I will shift my balance to one
- 40:30away. And what is the other side of your balance? The
- 40:33care hair. Oh, this fits really
- 40:36well. So you have
- 40:39the opportunity to go running after
- 40:42Madame Yang. But you look and you
- 40:45see that the
- 40:48clay turtle amulet is broken.
- 40:51>> Speaker C: He doesn't want to leave his friends behind. That's the real
- 40:54reason. Come on.
- 40:55>> Speaker A: Okay, so there's a crack. There's a crack in the
- 40:58turtle amulet. And Guru Tupiq is just sitting there and he's
- 41:00holding it in his hands, and tears are welling up in his
- 41:03eye. And you reach down and you use
- 41:06your earthbending to reseal that
- 41:08crack. He looks at you and he says.
- 41:12>> Speaker B: Thank you so much. You don't know
- 41:14what this means to me.
- 41:17>> Speaker A: I want to say something so stupid. You're
- 41:20moving towards care. I know.
- 41:23I'm trying to. I'm trying to be
- 41:25nice, but, you know, not gonna lie, this guy
- 41:28was less than useless. Oh,
- 41:31dang, Brock. You let her get away. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold
- 41:34on. Where were you
- 41:37this whole time? I actually was gonna cut to that. Do you go back
- 41:40up to the mountain cave once? Yeah. okay, don't mention
- 41:43it. I'll earth vader us.
- 41:46Earth vader us. Back up to the top. Sounds good. You
- 41:49get to the top of the cave, you find your friends there.
- 41:52They've taken out all of the hot leaf juice
- 41:54employees. One of them is still conscious.
- 41:57He has his mask off, and he's,
- 42:00backed up against the wall, kind of in a crouched position.
- 42:03He's looking at all of you, and he's just like, I don't
- 42:06know where I am. I don't know who.
- 42:09Why are you attacking me? Who are you people,
- 42:12bro? You. You expect us
- 42:14to have more patience than we actually have? I haven't got time
- 42:17for this. Where did you come from? Where were
- 42:20you guys? up here,
- 42:23fighting, kicking button, taking
- 42:26names.
- 42:27>> Speaker C: I was not taking names.
- 42:28>> Speaker A: Well, name tags. I got a collection
- 42:31here. And in your hand, you have about,
- 42:34like, three to five hot leaf juice
- 42:36employee name tags. Yep.
- 42:39Nice. So, what, do we
- 42:42beat these guys up? Did you get Madam Yang. Ah,
- 42:45that's why you chased up to her, right?
- 42:46>> Speaker C: Did she get Madam ye?
- 42:48>> Speaker A: I, don't want to talk about it.
- 42:50>> Speaker C: What do you mean?
- 42:52>> Speaker A: She may or may not have gotten away,
- 42:55but.
- 42:56>> Speaker C: May or may not have? Which one is it?
- 42:58>> Speaker A: don't worry about it. But the important thing
- 43:01is we got the turtle thing, which is
- 43:04apparently important.
- 43:05>> Speaker C: Who cares about the turtle thing?
- 43:06>> Speaker A: I honestly don't. Apparently, it was important to
- 43:09this guy, so, like, I guess we can call it a
- 43:12win. But, like, honestly, I turned.
- 43:14>> Speaker C: This guy's kind of a shoe. Okay, I'm
- 43:17gonna slap him. Where's
- 43:20Madam Yang? Where's she
- 43:23going?
- 43:23>> Speaker A: Madam Yang? Oh, yes.
- 43:26>> Speaker C: she. Speak up.
- 43:27>> Speaker A: She's the factory. The factory where
- 43:30she keeps us. The other children.
- 43:33>> Speaker C: He's a child?
- 43:36>> Speaker A: Well, I mean, they're like teens. You know? They're like teens. You guys
- 43:39are teens. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're the kids.
- 43:42She's keeping them all there.
- 43:43>> Speaker C: What are you talking about?
- 43:44>> Speaker A: the factory where she makes her. Her teas,
- 43:47the ones that she sends out to all the
- 43:50restaurants and the shops.
- 43:52>> Speaker C: She keeps children there. She's a slave
- 43:54laborer?
- 43:56>> Speaker A: sure, sure. Maybe. Yeah. I
- 43:59don't know. I just. My parents died. They put me
- 44:02in an orphanage, and then next thing I know, they were shipping us
- 44:05over, and I'm working at the factory.
- 44:07>> Speaker C: Can you take us there?
- 44:09>> Speaker A: I really don't want to go back. I can tell you where it
- 44:11is.
- 44:12>> Speaker C: But, like, you know, the ins and out of the factory,
- 44:15you know where we can get her?
- 44:16>> Speaker A: We can give you a clipboard. You'll have extra power.
- 44:19>> Speaker C: Hashtag sneak attack.
- 44:20>> Speaker A: I just. I just want to go. How dare
- 44:23she?
- 44:23>> Speaker C: You want to help us?
- 44:24>> Speaker A: Thanks. You don't want to go
- 44:27back. You don't have a home.
- 44:31Any home is better than there.
- 44:33What? I lost my patience
- 44:36today. Okay? Let's just
- 44:40say, bro, join the club.
- 44:45Your dad is alive. Really? The only, like,
- 44:48actual orphan here is glow. All right, what
- 44:51about Ash bill? Whatever.
- 44:53>> Speaker C: Bill?
- 44:54>> Speaker A: You say that to me? Yeah, sure. What about Ash bill?
- 44:57Wait, hold on. Who was it that said the only orphan is glow? Because I
- 45:00couldn't have said that because I'm the. Oh, yeah, my parents
- 45:03lost me. Hey,
- 45:08I still have my parents.
- 45:10>> Speaker C: Oh, I still have a dad.
- 45:13>> Speaker A: Okay, never mind. You might be the only one of us without
- 45:15a parent. I can tell you.
- 45:18>> Speaker C: What don't you want, like, revenge on Madame Yang?
- 45:20>> Speaker A: No, I just want. I just don't want. I don't want to go back there. You
- 45:23don't realize how bad it was.
- 45:25>> Speaker C: What's so bad about it?
- 45:26>> Speaker A: Did they make you drink tea? Cause I would understand that pain.
- 45:29>> Speaker C: I would not.
- 45:30>> Speaker A: Did they make you take a shower? Cause I understand that
- 45:33they didn't let us drink tea. They only let us drink
- 45:36hot leaf juice. Do they have dental?
- 45:39No, they have smiles. And he's just
- 45:42got, like, a bunch of. Oh, they don't even have dental. We're tearing that
- 45:45place down. Hey, that's not
- 45:48fair. You can't call tea hot leaf juice.
- 45:51Oh, Zuko. Hey, what's your name? Which one
- 45:54of these name tags was yours again? PI.
- 45:57PI? It's PI.
- 46:00>> Speaker C: Come up with a real name for you. That's the first thing
- 46:03she saw.
- 46:03>> Speaker A: Oh, no. Her name for me was employee
- 46:06727. You got that one, Guo.
- 46:10Oh, yep.
- 46:13And sure enough, you do. All right. I don't want it
- 46:16back. You can keep it. I just want to leave. I just want
- 46:19to.
- 46:19>> Speaker C: I think you just need to come with us because, you know, you could
- 46:22give us a lay of the land, tell us where we can sneak in the bus, the
- 46:25routes to her office. You know, what if I just tell.
- 46:28>> Speaker A: You what I know here and now, and then you guys go
- 46:31there on your own?
- 46:32>> Speaker C: Don't be a chicken, pants.
- 46:34>> Speaker A: I feel like I have a right. I think we should listen to
- 46:36him. No, no, I don't got time
- 46:39for this. We just. We don't have time for this.
- 46:42Yeah, we are on a mission
- 46:45to get the will. And doing this whole side
- 46:48quest to go to factory has
- 46:51nothing to do with Mister Okaron. The will.
- 46:54>> Speaker C: Except she killed Mister Okoran.
- 46:56>> Speaker A: How do you know that? It was the wild coyote, boys.
- 46:59She wasn't there. Oh, yeah, it was the wild coyote
- 47:02boars.
- 47:02>> Speaker C: We didn't see who actually killed the,
- 47:05She's apparently sneaky fast because you couldn't even
- 47:08keep her.
- 47:09>> Speaker B: if I may.
- 47:11>> Speaker A: And guru tupique kind of. Kind of speaks up and
- 47:14he says.
- 47:15>> Speaker B: I think she may have stolen your next clue.
- 47:18>> Speaker A: What is that in the box?
- 47:19>> Speaker B: Yes.
- 47:21>> Speaker A: Oh, no. Well, now we have to go on this
- 47:23mission. Oh, no. It's almost
- 47:26as if the plot driving forward requires
- 47:29us to go after. I thought the moral
- 47:32quandary was gonna be, do we go after her or go for the will?
- 47:35But then sky was like, nah, I'm gonna put them together. Yeah, well, I
- 47:38ruined the moral quandary.
- 47:40>> Speaker C: She doesn't want us to get the will.
- 47:41>> Speaker A: Don't you know what was in the box? What's in the
- 47:44box? Because she's Madame Yang.
- 47:46>> Speaker C: She knows a lot of things she probably shouldn't know.
- 47:51>> Speaker A: I was gonna say she's got the plot armor. But you don't like when I say
- 47:54that. Especially in character.
- 47:58Pie. I tell you what. Yeah, you tell
- 48:01us everything we need to know,
- 48:04lead us or point us to the factory, and
- 48:06we'll bring out the whole Osha on him.
- 48:09That's right. Well, I'm more than happy to do
- 48:12that. But first I have to ask,
- 48:15what exactly do you need to know?
- 48:18>> Speaker C: Literally everything. You know
- 48:20everything.
- 48:21>> Speaker A: I can start with where. The fact.
- 48:24>> Speaker C: Where's the factory? Oh, the best way to sneak
- 48:27around. You should know that because you know, you're.
- 48:31Don't you want to avoid Madame Yang? You would know. You should
- 48:33know all this.
- 48:34>> Speaker A: You don't really get a whole lot of opportunity to sneak around
- 48:37when you're under her control.
- 48:39>> Speaker C: What do you mean? She just,
- 48:42like, changed.
- 48:43>> Speaker A: Certified us.
- 48:44>> Speaker C: Certified you?
- 48:45>> Speaker A: Yeah. Intimidate.
- 48:46>> Speaker C: Certifies you how?
- 48:48>> Speaker A: Like, explain the room with the
- 48:50crystals.
- 48:51>> Speaker C: What are you talking about?
- 48:52>> Speaker A: I don't know.
- 48:53>> Speaker C: Do you have words? Use them.
- 48:58>> Speaker A: Was put into a trance or something. She does it
- 49:01with all of her employees. That's why. That's
- 49:04why they do whatever she says. Can I roll with trick to
- 49:07try and get him to just come with us?
- 49:11yeah, you can. You can try to trick. Okay, I roll with creates.
- 49:14You had to tell me. Like, what? What are you saying to him to
- 49:17trick him into this? Okay, how about this? We'll just.
- 49:20We'll all go see. We can't
- 49:23see. Huh? We're not great with directions. You know, north
- 49:26side, left, right. You know, it's. It's just. It
- 49:29just doesn't work with us. You guys need a map, huh? yeah, we're gonna need a map. But
- 49:32you know what? You know, what might be best is like, you
- 49:35know, it probably has been a while since you've been there, right? So
- 49:37we're gonna. Let's just go to the factory.
- 49:40To the factory. Let's go to the factory. You don't gotta come in, okay? Just, when
- 49:43we get there, tell us how
- 49:46to get in, and you tell us how to get
- 49:49in, and then you can leave. Okay?
- 49:52Roll. Roll with creativity. Seven on a seven
- 49:55and nine, you get to pick one of the options. They over commit, and
- 49:57they are deceived for some time. Okay, so you're telling
- 50:00him he doesn't even have to come inside? He doesn't have to
- 50:03go inside. You just come with us to the factory and show
- 50:06us the door that best suits us. For going in. That's all
- 50:09you gotta do. He looks like he's a little bit. Don't
- 50:12you want distraught? For sure? And he says, don't you
- 50:15want revenge against Madame Yang? Not particularly.
- 50:18But to be up to him to help
- 50:21rock here, even if you helped, it would only give him a
- 50:24plus one, which wouldn't put him over the edge or anything. I was mean.
- 50:26More help in the narrative. Oh, yeah. Ah, sure. Go
- 50:29ahead. I walk up and kneel down by him and put my hand on his
- 50:32shoulder and go, hey, gonna hit me in the head again? You saw
- 50:35how I defended my friends here today. That
- 50:38guy over there. Yeah? The guy with the name tag. Hit once.
- 50:41Yeah. Just spotless. Yeah.
- 50:44He didn't get hit once. Yeah.
- 50:47I give you my word. My
- 50:50family's name. What's that? Is that you?
- 50:54What's that?
- 50:57Just from the back? What is your last
- 50:59name? It's Guru Tabika.
- 51:03I give you the word of my father's name,
- 51:06Beekeem, and say his name. I swear on the name of,
- 51:09my father's name, Jasper Burtney, that you
- 51:12will have no harm come to you.
- 51:15I actually really like to
- 51:17think that at the name Jasper
- 51:20Burtney, this kid actually
- 51:23might recognize that. And he
- 51:26goes, your dad is
- 51:29Jasper Burtney? Yeah.
- 51:31Okay. Okay. All right.
- 51:34I'll. I'll, go with you guys, but
- 51:38I wanna. I wanna go home to the Fire
- 51:40nation afterwards. That's fine.
- 51:43I won't go, and I don't want to go in the. I don't want to go in the
- 51:46factory. You don't have to. We'll get recertified,
- 51:49and I don't want. Fine. Okay. That's part that would
- 51:52mean you would get hurt, and I want you to get hurt. What if we can convince them
- 51:55to get dental? I can get dental at the orphanages
- 51:58in the fire nation. Sure. They have
- 52:01m. Great. They've got great dental plans. Great.
- 52:06Fire nation orphanages are all the rage.
- 52:09Every kid wishes their parents would die, so
- 52:11they're
- 52:16just abandon them. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 52:19Is that worse? Maybe every teenager.
- 52:23Awesome. Okay, so he agrees to
- 52:26essentially take you to the outskirts,
- 52:29that overlook the factory. And he's
- 52:32going to kind of show or
- 52:35point out whatever he can once you guys get
- 52:37there. Guru tupiq steps forward and he says.
- 52:40>> Speaker B: As thanks for what you've done for me and to
- 52:43help you in the, remainder of your journey, I
- 52:46have two things for you. Firstly,
- 52:49there is a cart and a couple ostrich horses in the
- 52:52stable out back. I use it to head
- 52:55into town when I'm in need of food and other
- 52:57supplies. But you are more than welcome to take it and
- 53:00chase down that dreadful woman. The
- 53:03second is this.
- 53:04>> Speaker A: He holds out an air bison
- 53:07whistle.
- 53:09>> Speaker B: And he says, last night, I
- 53:12had a vision, a vision of a place
- 53:14far from here, covered in ice and snow.
- 53:18I could sense that it will be your next
- 53:21destination. Ocarina
- 53:24may have neglected the possibility of the time crunch you'd
- 53:27find yourselves in during this treasure
- 53:29hunt, so this will ensure that you have the
- 53:32fastest possible route to your next destination.
- 53:35This whistle will, call out to my good friend Mochi,
- 53:38my air bison companion.
- 53:41He has been with me for a long time,
- 53:44ever since he was a child. He doesn't
- 53:47have a whole lot of strength left in him, but
- 53:50he should be able to get you four to your next
- 53:53destination in quick time.
- 53:56So when you're ready, just blow the whistle, and he'll be
- 53:59there to fly you across the land.
- 54:01>> Speaker C: Thanks.
- 54:03>> Speaker B: Yes, of course. You're all
- 54:06very welcome.
- 54:08>> Speaker A: see ya later.
- 54:11This guy I pointed to me,
- 54:14I like how imagine, though. He, like, we walk to the side,
- 54:17and he immediately just starts yelling. I know. Like. Like, we start
- 54:20walking, and I'm just like, that guy.
- 54:22He's the worst fighter I've ever seen. He
- 54:25gives it. He's in for the. He's in the fray for two minutes.
- 54:28And my voice, just like tricks. Yeah. He trails as you guys walk. He's in
- 54:31the fight for two minutes, and he just.
- 54:37And that's the last thing guru tapiq hears from
- 54:39broccoli. Yeah. as you guys go
- 54:42to the back of the air temple, you pick up the cart and get the
- 54:45ostrich horses strapped to it. And you start to ride
- 54:48off the very same path that, probably less than an hour ago,
- 54:51broccoli watched Madame Yang drift off
- 54:54down. You guys head out with this hot leaf juice
- 54:57kid to the hot leaf
- 54:59juice factory in hopes of finding Madame
- 55:02Yang. And with that close out episode six.
