- 1:07Speaker 1: in our life. Tantrums Right now with my four year
- 1:10Speaker 1: old route God bless her, we'll talk about tantrums. Negotiating
- 1:14Speaker 1: with terrorists at dinner. Yep, dinner is a problem right
- 1:17Speaker 1: in before us. What's going on in your world?
- 1:20Speaker 3: Scarlet's she's climbing out of her crib, super easy on
- 1:23Speaker 3: Mom and Dad.
- 1:24Speaker 2: That's actually ideal. You look for that. Yeah, thunderstorm woke
- 1:28Speaker 2: up Scarlet last night. She comes into bed at two am.
- 1:32Speaker 2: That damn it was a thunderstorm.
- 1:35Speaker 3: Loud.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Yeah, was it hailing at one point?
- 1:37Speaker 3: I think it was just really heavy rain. And I
- 1:40Speaker 3: don't know about your roof. Do you have a ten riof?
- 1:42Speaker 3: I'm trying to remember you.
- 1:45Speaker 2: I think it's a good question.
- 1:48Speaker 3: It's a good question we'll get in the next we're
- 1:53Speaker 3: podcasting shown.
- 1:54Speaker 1: I was like laying in bed and it this loud
- 1:58Speaker 1: noise bang. Whether it's in the fireplace, maybe it's a
- 2:00Speaker 1: tin roof.
- 2:01Speaker 3: Oh, we could have been the fireplace. Honestly, I got
- 2:04Speaker 3: to making that made us think, like, yo, is it hailing?
- 2:07Speaker 2: Outside. Unfortunately the kids didn't wake up.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Well, Scotty woke up, but probably, like I don't even know,
- 2:12Speaker 1: close to one in the morning. I had to go
- 2:13Speaker 1: up there and find the passing and get it in
- 2:15Speaker 1: there and lock in.
- 2:17Speaker 3: Are you a two hander guy, or do you just
- 2:19Speaker 3: guess searching guests with one hand?
- 2:21Speaker 2: I was.
- 2:22Speaker 1: I had my watch out and I had the red
- 2:23Speaker 1: light on it. People who can see the red light,
- 2:25Speaker 1: I'm on. I'm on my hands and knees going around. Yeah,
- 2:28Speaker 1: because the red light is low, it's not bright.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Snipers can't see it through their scopes.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Because Scotty's webbing' ub. We use webbing ubs. She has
- 2:35Speaker 1: a webbing ub that she that we call Lama. It's
- 2:38Speaker 1: a lama webbing up. Yeah, yeah, yeah, But it's gotten
- 2:40Speaker 1: to the point because Scotti is seventeen months eighteen months, sorry, sweetheart,
- 2:43Speaker 1: correct me if I'm wrong. The passing party is now
- 2:47Speaker 1: separated from the stuffy. So she goes the still the beankie,
- 2:53Speaker 1: the passing in the mouth from the webbing up and
- 2:55Speaker 1: just holds Lama.
- 2:57Speaker 2: So she had Lama.
- 2:58Speaker 1: I could see Lama in the crib this light off,
- 3:01Speaker 1: I can see lom in the crib, but I couldn't
- 3:03Speaker 1: find the little blue passy. On hands and knees, I'm
- 3:05Speaker 1: looking in her little stuffy bind Where did she throw it?
- 3:08Speaker 1: Outside the crib? I look under the crib. There's passes.
- 3:10Speaker 1: There's like three passes under the crib. She doesn't use
- 3:13Speaker 1: the normal passies. She needs a specific lama one. Even
- 3:16Speaker 1: the webbing nubs, even the other webb and nubs in
- 3:18Speaker 1: the crib. Poor little deer, poor little moose. They don't
- 3:22Speaker 1: get any love. I try to use that one. She
- 3:24Speaker 1: doesn't want it. She wants the one that came from
- 3:25Speaker 1: you want. So I'm going around trying to find this
- 3:28Speaker 1: blue little rubber passy. Turns out she was just laying
- 3:31Speaker 1: on it. But I started sweating at one point, trying
- 3:34Speaker 1: to move things around because I'm in there.
- 3:35Speaker 2: It's middle of the night, it's dark.
- 3:37Speaker 3: I'm on my hands and knees, the got the red
- 3:39Speaker 3: light out trying to look for it, and she's, you know,
- 3:42Speaker 3: whining and everything else.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Sweetheart, dead as here, deads here. Don't worry. We'll find
- 3:46Speaker 2: this sweeter. Where'd you throw it? Hey?
- 3:48Speaker 1: Where'd you throw it? He'll be out and then I
- 3:50Speaker 1: just lift up. I'm feeling under and then I felt
- 3:52Speaker 1: it underneath there, put it in. We were locked step,
- 3:54Speaker 1: ready to go. She calmed down. I'm able to pat
- 3:56Speaker 1: her on the back a couple of times. It's okay,
- 3:58Speaker 1: you can go back to sleep that night. Then I
- 4:00Speaker 1: just walk out.
- 4:01Speaker 3: I'm a big two hand guy. I go in blind,
- 4:04Speaker 3: go in blind, going blind, the lights off. Left hand
- 4:07Speaker 3: finds the mouth and tries to keep it right there,
- 4:10Speaker 3: and then right hand. So you'll be sitting there trying
- 4:12Speaker 3: to work your fingers on her face and she like,
- 4:15Speaker 3: she feels her cheeks. She's going on my fingers because
- 4:20Speaker 3: she's like, is this a passy? I can't see you're
- 4:21Speaker 3: poking her in the eye.
- 4:24Speaker 2: I do it blind.
- 4:26Speaker 3: But a lot to cover on today, saw a lot
- 4:28Speaker 3: to cover on this sw of today.

- 6:50Speaker 3: On international soil. Do you know what my call in
- 6:52Speaker 3: would be this week? By the way, what would your
- 6:54Speaker 3: call in be?
- 6:56Speaker 4: Oh?
- 6:56Speaker 3: No, I suck, I'm really upset, or well, first off,
- 7:01Speaker 3: thing thing blah blah blah.
- 7:03Speaker 2: You reach for the dads, Willie.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Watch ou Cheffie boyd comes of going, and then I
- 7:09Speaker 3: would go. My wife said, I'm too loud when I
- 7:12Speaker 3: leave the house in the morning. It distracts Scarlett when
- 7:15Speaker 3: she's drinking.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Why do you? Why do you exist? Why is your existence?
- 7:21Speaker 3: Your existence is futile because you going to work is
- 7:25Speaker 3: maybe the worst thing that could possibly happen in this house.
- 7:29Speaker 3: And now our daughter's not gonna eat.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Had a great How loud are you in the house?
- 7:33Speaker 3: Oh yeah? I mean, do you want me to walk
- 7:36Speaker 3: up to the mic? Maybe I could simulate how I
- 7:40Speaker 3: walk in?
- 7:40Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, go ahead do that. Let's do that. Okay, Like,
- 7:44Speaker 2: are you stomping around? Are you? I think I'm gonna
- 7:49Speaker 2: go to work now. I think I'm believen. I love you.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Make sure you pack the backpack for the kiddo. It's
- 8:01Speaker 2: Scarlett still s college.
- 8:03Speaker 3: You're drinking, You.
- 8:06Speaker 6: Love you?
- 8:08Speaker 2: Something like that. Yeah, maybe I am too loud? Who knows?
- 8:13Speaker 2: See you boys? Love you? You God dude.
- 8:17Speaker 3: I got an earful in this morning in the front yard.
- 8:21Speaker 3: It came out to it. It came out of the house.
- 8:23Speaker 3: We're out in the front yard. She's holding the baby
- 8:25Speaker 3: on her hip. We got deep standing here. He's got merchant.
- 8:31Speaker 3: This this package just came.
- 8:32Speaker 2: In hot off the press, right in time. Doesn't say
- 8:37Speaker 2: happy mother's day, says boy mom. Boy mom.
- 8:41Speaker 1: We got boy mom hats. Oh what are you holding up?
- 8:46Speaker 3: I am holding up a crew neck that has a
- 8:48Speaker 3: matching uh, sweatpants. It's a little sweat set, and says
- 8:54Speaker 3: for the moms, quality goods.
- 8:57Speaker 2: YEA, making it look easy. It's not. It's not.
- 9:01Speaker 3: They're always making it look easy, and it's not. It's
- 9:05Speaker 3: embroidered for the moms. A little sweat set. Very cute,
- 9:11Speaker 3: you're talking about not easy. Here's the text that I
- 9:14Speaker 3: got earlier. Evaporator is frozen solid. He says unit has
- 9:19Speaker 3: to be off for at least twenty four hours for
- 9:21Speaker 3: it to melt, So no AC upstairs for the next
- 9:23Speaker 3: twenty four hours at least, which means the kids will
- 9:25Speaker 3: have to sleep downstairs tonight. Great, she said, great, Oh great, good,
- 9:30Speaker 3: Oh that's perfect.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Last night I was going upstairs to put Scottie down,
- 9:33Speaker 1: and as I went upstairs, you started to feel the
- 9:36Speaker 1: shift in temperature going upstairs. I'm like, oh shit, what's
- 9:39Speaker 1: going on with the ac? Hoping it was just like
- 9:41Speaker 1: maybe the frozen pipes. I've had an example where the
- 9:43Speaker 1: pipes are frozen. You shut it down because but usually
- 9:47Speaker 1: it's just blowing out, just regular, you know, room temperature,
- 9:51Speaker 1: air or heat or whatever.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Normal air average.
- 9:56Speaker 3: The og stuff. Man, you know what we're talking. I
- 9:59Speaker 3: can't call normal air. It's not cold, it's not odd,
- 10:03Speaker 3: it's just normal normal.
- 10:06Speaker 1: But that's the example before to where Okay, you kind
- 10:09Speaker 1: of I kind of know what's going on. Maybe the
- 10:10Speaker 1: pipes is froze, maybe you need to shut it off
- 10:12Speaker 1: for a second. But it's blowing nowhere. This stuff's on,
- 10:16Speaker 1: but nowhere is coming out. Yeah, so you know me,
- 10:19Speaker 1: I'm investigating the situation, flipping the breakers on and off,
- 10:23Speaker 1: kind of just looking at the unit like I'm going.
- 10:24Speaker 2: To touch it and do something within say a couple
- 10:27Speaker 2: say a couple of huh give it a yeah, yeah,
- 10:31Speaker 2: I don't know what it is. And walk outside.
- 10:33Speaker 1: The fans weren't blowing like you know, the big the
- 10:35Speaker 1: big unit that got the fans on the day, got.
- 10:38Speaker 2: The metal on. The little.
- 10:41Speaker 1: One's going. The other one wasn't. So I'm like, okay,
- 10:44Speaker 1: maybe that's something. I'm looking at the wires. I'm looking
- 10:46Speaker 1: at the breaker box again. I got my this one
- 10:48Speaker 1: I had, I had the White Lives.
- 10:49Speaker 2: This is that night.
- 10:50Speaker 1: This is outside, yeah, bro, nighttime out. They're looking at everything.
- 10:54Speaker 1: This is zero dark thirty, Like, is there are a couple
- 10:56Speaker 1: of buttons I can push to check? It didn't look
- 10:58Speaker 1: like that was the case. Saw a couple of little
- 11:00Speaker 1: box As I opened them up, I looked at him.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Breaker to this, breaker to that. Probably not my cup
- 11:05Speaker 1: of tea.
- 11:05Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, you can go get a cup of coffee
- 11:08Speaker 3: at bwtv dot com for Mother's Day.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Merry a wineglass or d glass. Yeah, but I'm like,
- 11:16Speaker 2: we're gonna have to call somebody.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Yeah, but so it seems like we have a what
- 11:20Speaker 1: I say, frozen frozen frozen evaporator.
- 11:24Speaker 3: It's frozen solid. I got two dead hacks for you.
- 11:28Speaker 3: But how that that I cannot solve. But I do
- 11:31Speaker 3: have two pretty decent dad hacks for you.
- 11:35Speaker 1: You get into the get into the dead egg, because
- 11:38Speaker 1: I got a question.
- 11:39Speaker 3: When you see it frozen over, you can go out
- 11:42Speaker 3: there and hit it with the host, pour some hot
- 11:45Speaker 3: water on it.
- 11:46Speaker 2: You can defrost those pipes yourself.
- 11:48Speaker 3: That doesn't fix the root cause, but that can get
- 11:51Speaker 3: the cold air blowing.
- 11:53Speaker 2: So then you don't have all those little you.
- 11:55Speaker 3: Know before are running them out. Oh it's odd to you,
- 12:02Speaker 3: it's not in the house. Oh no, it's not in
- 12:05Speaker 3: the house. You see me sweating, that's that HAC number one,
- 12:12Speaker 3: that hack number two. You remember when that HVAC guy
- 12:15Speaker 3: was like, hey, you can watch over my shoulder. I
- 12:18Speaker 3: was like, I don't want to breathe down your neck.
- 12:20Speaker 3: I just want to see how you know the sauce
- 12:24Speaker 3: is made. And he was like, yeah, And there's a
- 12:26Speaker 3: converter that are in HVAC units. And this is a
- 12:31Speaker 3: key piece because a lot of stuff like it may
- 12:34Speaker 3: be whatever the evaporators like froze over whatever, if you
- 12:38Speaker 3: have a faulty converter, that can lead to like a
- 12:42Speaker 3: whole mess of things. Is what I learned from him,
- 12:44Speaker 3: Like it all starts with the converter and a sign
- 12:47Speaker 3: to look out for. Dad's pay attention, moms, pay attention
- 12:53Speaker 3: when the AC kicks in in your house and that
- 12:55Speaker 3: little light flicker happens.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Have you ever noticed that with like a.
- 13:01Speaker 3: Need a new converter, need a new converter, the converter's
- 13:05Speaker 3: not doing a good job of pulling the energy from
- 13:08Speaker 3: your house into kickstarting your he track unit. And so
- 13:12Speaker 3: when the lights kind of dim and flicker a little
- 13:15Speaker 3: bit when AC kicks in, call the a track guy,
- 13:18Speaker 3: get a new converter. I'm looking right now. I just
- 13:20Speaker 3: looked up how to unfreeze the evaporator in the ace.
- 13:22Speaker 3: Oh what they say, turn off the cooling setting at
- 13:25Speaker 3: the thermostat immediately and set the fan toil on to
- 13:27Speaker 3: circulate warm era, allowing it to thow for one to
- 13:30Speaker 3: twenty four hours.
- 13:30Speaker 2: That's where the twenty four hours at least us in.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Do not turn the AC back on it till it's
- 13:35Speaker 2: fully dry. But how do I know?
- 13:37Speaker 1: Like what pisses me off is I don't know what
- 13:39Speaker 1: a fucking evaporator is. Evaporator coil.
- 13:41Speaker 2: You'll see it.
- 13:42Speaker 4: It's on the very back of your unit, and if
- 13:44Speaker 4: it's frosted, you'll it's very easy to tell, like, oh,
- 13:46Speaker 4: there's just a shit kind of ice.
- 13:48Speaker 2: It just pisces me off. What makes me mad is
- 13:50Speaker 2: that we're in a new house and.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Like when people coming in and out of the house
- 13:54Speaker 1: or they fix something, because there's all these like it's
- 13:57Speaker 1: new house problems or new construction problems, or this house
- 14:00Speaker 1: is old, or this happens all the time. Everything is
- 14:03Speaker 1: like it sounds so normal to say, oh, this happens
- 14:07Speaker 1: because of X, Y and Z, doesn't matter insert whatever
- 14:09Speaker 1: answer you want.
- 14:10Speaker 3: My issue is bro, it's brand new, Yeah, why.
- 14:15Speaker 2: Is there problems?
- 14:16Speaker 3: And if it's like, oh, it's normal it's new construction
- 14:19Speaker 3: or new this or new that, It's like, at what
- 14:21Speaker 3: point does the industry identify that it's always somebody coming
- 14:25Speaker 3: over saying this is normal with a new this, with
- 14:27Speaker 3: a new construction house, and it's like, oh, why can't
- 14:30Speaker 3: it just be new?
- 14:31Speaker 2: You'd be good and ready to go.
- 14:33Speaker 3: You know a H track guy told me because he's
- 14:35Speaker 3: also a salesman, he sells a tracks.
- 14:38Speaker 2: He said, you know that little.
- 14:40Speaker 3: Conspiracy theory about iPhones and that the updates slowly kill
- 14:45Speaker 3: your phone, making you need a new one. Hvacs are
- 14:50Speaker 3: the same damn thing many and the phone shit is real.
- 14:54Speaker 1: I feel like you get a year out or a
- 14:56Speaker 1: couple of years out, like pictures don't look as clear.
- 14:59Speaker 1: It always like the new ones got the brightest, sickest
- 15:02Speaker 1: looking photos. And it's like, yo, I felt the same
- 15:04Speaker 1: way with the phone that I'm holding right when I
- 15:07Speaker 1: bought it last year or two years ago. It always
- 15:09Speaker 1: seems like they make the photos worse. Battery dice quicker.
- 15:12Speaker 1: We know the battery thing. We know the battery thing.
- 15:15Speaker 3: He was telling me, I'm not gonna it is not
- 15:17Speaker 3: my place to name drop these brands.
- 15:20Speaker 2: But there are two very major HVAC brands that.
- 15:25Speaker 3: Had the opportunity to update some of their parts decided
- 15:31Speaker 3: not to, and they're sticking with the old parts because
- 15:34Speaker 3: they would have to change all their manufacturing, warehouses, all
- 15:37Speaker 3: that stuff to keep up with the technology of our
- 15:40Speaker 3: houses and the power grids, and they just left it
- 15:44Speaker 3: as old tech.
- 15:44Speaker 2: And they know that you shit is going to be
- 15:47Speaker 2: dying out in like three or four.
- 15:48Speaker 3: Years, and they get to come and give you a
- 15:51Speaker 3: new one and pay extra money for your warranty.
- 15:55Speaker 2: And just tell you the same old bullshit, all the
- 15:57Speaker 2: same lines, Oh this is normal, this is it's new.
- 16:01Speaker 2: It's blah blah blah.
- 16:02Speaker 3: Well you kind of you know, you had some real
- 16:04Speaker 3: hot summers three years in a row.
- 16:06Speaker 2: I'll do it.
- 16:08Speaker 3: All those little lines that you're like, I guess that
- 16:10Speaker 3: makes sense. And this isn't an attack on the h
- 16:12Speaker 3: VAC industry.
- 16:14Speaker 1: We're not trying to take We're not trying to attack
- 16:16Speaker 1: the HVAC industry. We're just bringing up concerns.
- 16:19Speaker 3: We're bringing up concerns, you know how Joe Rogan has
- 16:22Speaker 3: people on his podcasts that you're like like scientists, like
- 16:27Speaker 3: scientists that you're like, oh my god, you just like
- 16:30Speaker 3: opened up my eyes to a whole new thing. I
- 16:32Speaker 3: didn't even know, Like that Atlantis guy where he's like
- 16:34Speaker 3: Atlantis is in Africa. It's the eye of the Sahara.
- 16:38Speaker 3: That's actually where Atlantis is. And I go down a
- 16:40Speaker 3: rabbit hole for like ten hours.
- 16:42Speaker 2: On my iPhone. Hm, we got to have a handyman
- 16:45Speaker 2: on here, dude. Yeah, we need to get a dad
- 16:48Speaker 2: that's deep in this industry. I don't even think you
- 16:50Speaker 2: need to just do that.
- 16:51Speaker 7: I think what you should do is higher contractors in
- 16:55Speaker 7: here and pay them their hour rate. But they're not
- 16:58Speaker 7: fixing anything. They're just on the pod and so where
- 17:00Speaker 7: they're showing up high am from you know whatever that
- 17:03Speaker 7: guy was from. Awesome, Hey, ours is actually working. We
- 17:05Speaker 7: just we got some questions. We'll pay your hour rate.
- 17:08Speaker 7: Do you mind sitting here on this pod and just
- 17:10Speaker 7: answering some questions. We could get the mailman, the Amazon
- 17:13Speaker 7: delivery guy. Yeah, get a full delivery guy. I'm just saying,
- 17:16Speaker 7: that's a really good content. That's a great idea.
- 17:20Speaker 2: That's a great idea. That's such a good idea, bro.
- 17:24Speaker 3: I would sit there and pick the brain, and the
- 17:26Speaker 3: dads are gonna listen to it at home.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Dads are going to chime in with questions. Yeah, toumuts
- 17:30Speaker 2: are probably flooded right now, telling us how we can
- 17:32Speaker 2: fix out.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Willie, you don't need all this, This is all you
- 17:35Speaker 1: gotta do this. How you identify these three big problems
- 17:39Speaker 1: with an AC unit, like you were talking about a
- 17:41Speaker 1: couple of weeks ago.
- 17:42Speaker 3: Oh, or how about the poop poop water coming up
- 17:45Speaker 3: out of my shower drain. That was a new one.
- 17:48Speaker 3: I'm sitting there with a plunger. You're trying to work
- 17:52Speaker 3: on your three p's my three piece. They're coming underneath,
- 17:57Speaker 3: they're taking tunnels. It's Vietnam in am I in my bathroom,
- 18:02Speaker 3: but it's poop water. Hey, it happens, man, older house,
- 18:05Speaker 3: older house, older unit. It was the pomp apparently.
- 18:08Speaker 1: And then when you get the new one, Hey, this happens, man, newer,
- 18:11Speaker 1: newer unit. Well, in the newer toilet, the.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Guy was like, are you flushing wipes? To Jilly Bean?
- 18:17Speaker 2: You're flushing wipes the pump. I mean it's it's burnt
- 18:20Speaker 2: through a crisp.
- 18:22Speaker 3: He flushing white, she flushing wipes. We were not We
- 18:24Speaker 3: were not flushing white. I flushed a couple of wipes.
- 18:28Speaker 3: This isn't I see you looking at me. This isn't consistent.
- 18:31Speaker 3: I've only gone it. I can count on one hand
- 18:33Speaker 3: how many times I flushed the white. That's awesome, that's good.
- 18:36Speaker 3: That that looks wasn't like that was that was a judgment.
- 18:40Speaker 3: I was just seeing where this was, where it was going.
- 18:44Speaker 2: Only a few times. Man, Hey, I flushed wipes before.
- 18:49Speaker 2: Just so you know, I have flushed some whites.
- 18:51Speaker 3: Should we dive into comments, Yes, I have some follow
- 18:54Speaker 3: ups from last week's episode.
- 18:57Speaker 2: Again, we got a lot of ship boys.

- 19:18Speaker 1: a great one here from mutsa eight on YouTube.
- 19:23Speaker 2: This is for chef.
- 19:26Speaker 1: I can feel the disappointment in Chef's voice during Steak

- 19:55Speaker 4: the fire and talk about it because I scripts.
- 19:58Speaker 2: I'll tell you a little story.
- 20:00Speaker 4: Last Thursday, I stopped by Public's, got myself a skirt
- 20:05Speaker 4: steak through on the grill. Me like, well done, Yeah,
- 20:12Speaker 4: screwed it. The first time I screwed a steak in
- 20:14Speaker 4: a long time, like genuinely. Where I was eating it,
- 20:16Speaker 4: I was like mad at myself. And I do this
- 20:18Speaker 4: thing whenever I fuck up a meal, I make I
- 20:20Speaker 4: eat all of it. So I get really mad and
- 20:21Speaker 4: I go, I'm not gonna do that again. Completely screwed it,
- 20:25Speaker 4: left on the grill too long. Yeah, And so I was, uh.
- 20:28Speaker 2: You're eating a go at tire. It was legitimately like
- 20:32Speaker 2: eating a tire. I was very upset. My dad came
- 20:35Speaker 2: home and he was like, what's this? And you're thinking, Dad,
- 20:40Speaker 2: No one's harder on the on their self than me.
- 20:43Speaker 4: I'm my biggest critic. Yeah, but just know that it happens.
- 20:48Speaker 4: Happy to say everybody.
- 20:50Speaker 3: I appreciate y'all bringing this up. I've already talked about it. Okay,
- 20:55Speaker 3: we've already we've touched on this. I'm done talking about
- 20:58Speaker 3: it from moving on.
- 21:00Speaker 4: Uh.
- 21:00Speaker 3: This is a comment from Brandon call for three sixty
- 21:02Speaker 3: seven on YouTube bro v God bro chef was killing
- 21:09Speaker 3: me about the stake. Do we not have a cast
- 21:12Speaker 3: iron at home? And he was genuinely mad when he asked,
- 21:18Speaker 3: oh great, So there are multiple comments on that.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Look, look, look, look, as long as the house and
- 21:23Speaker 1: the team is right, that group we all know, we're
- 21:29Speaker 1: all lined. Yeah, we can move forward from this. I
- 21:34Speaker 1: think there's only one way to fix this. There's only
- 21:38Speaker 1: one way.
- 21:39Speaker 2: What is no.
- 21:39Speaker 7: I know exactly what you're going to say, and if
- 21:41Speaker 7: you're not going to say this thing, then I have
- 21:43Speaker 7: a plan B for when you are planned doesn't happen
- 21:46Speaker 7: or fails or isn't.
- 21:47Speaker 2: The right plan. I'm ripping a steak tonight.
- 21:51Speaker 5: I think I.
- 21:52Speaker 7: Think you should have us over and you should cook
- 21:53Speaker 7: four steaks. Well, we'll help, we'll do the sides. Okay,
- 21:59Speaker 7: chef can on.
- 22:00Speaker 3: Well I could even cook. I could even cook steaks
- 22:02Speaker 3: here we have a Weber.
- 22:04Speaker 5: I don't want to. I'll let chefs get what I like.
- 22:07Speaker 1: You know, a nice sunshiny day, we get some steaks
- 22:09Speaker 1: going here at the shop.
- 22:10Speaker 2: I can't. I can do.
- 22:12Speaker 3: That's zero pressure on me to do a charcoal weber
- 22:15Speaker 3: grill like I feel very comfortable with chargo stakes today
- 22:17Speaker 3: for lunch.
- 22:21Speaker 1: Maybe wait, once this episode comes out, Noise gets louder
- 22:25Speaker 1: about the steaks.
- 22:26Speaker 3: For purposes of also editing. Tomorrow would be good, or
- 22:31Speaker 3: Thursday or Friday.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Just we'll rip some steaks.

- 22:59Speaker 2: Jordie, wife and.
- 23:00Speaker 1: I are almost three weeks into her parent her journey
- 23:02Speaker 1: and we couldn't be happier. She was flipped. She has
- 23:05Speaker 1: flipped my world upside down. I'm so ready to be
- 23:08Speaker 1: a girl dad, and being able to learn how to
- 23:10Speaker 1: do it from you, two of the best girl dads
- 23:12Speaker 1: in the game, gives me more confidence than ever. Quick
- 23:15Speaker 1: wifey shout out. She absolutely killed labor. Twelve totals twelve

- 23:51Speaker 2: God that's wonderful. I've got so many comments.
- 23:54Speaker 3: I have a comment on Facebook from Patrick Blisney. Facebook
- 23:59Speaker 3: from Facebook, Let's go, some would say the dad social.
- 24:03Speaker 2: Media, Yeah, the original dad social media.
- 24:06Speaker 3: Just saw the dad hack of the week someone submitted
- 24:09Speaker 3: about setting reminders. Take it a step further, and my
- 24:12Speaker 3: wife's contact in my phone under the notes section, I
- 24:16Speaker 3: have all of her regular orders from different restaurants, coffee places,
- 24:19Speaker 3: et cetera. Now that is a hack. Love the show guys,
- 24:23Speaker 3: Patrick Blisney Act, Blizzed Dog.
- 24:27Speaker 1: That's a great hack if you were, if you were
- 24:28Speaker 1: a forgetful human being, because once you get in the routine,
- 24:31Speaker 1: I feel like Charles got such a simple latte. Order
- 24:33Speaker 1: ice latte, whole milk, simple syrup. I usually know with tacos, salad, sandwiches,
- 24:40Speaker 1: Bare Bones Butcher. She loves either Cuban or the meatball.
- 24:43Speaker 1: No free shoutouts to uh Bear Bones Butcher. Love that place,
- 24:46Speaker 1: great local spot here in Nashville.
- 24:47Speaker 3: Hey, I'll tell you one thing. Jill doesn't like the
- 24:50Speaker 3: case of dias a Chili's. Why in the world would
- 24:54Speaker 3: I think she did? Why would I order that? Why
- 25:00Speaker 3: would I order that and say, hey, honey, I got
- 25:03Speaker 3: your favorite. I know what my wife doesn't like, Casadilla's
- 25:08Speaker 3: from Chili's.
- 25:11Speaker 1: Bro something that will get me. It could be something
- 25:14Speaker 1: small like oatmeal, and if I don't have the right ratios.
- 25:20Speaker 1: The the move of let's say we're sitting down to
- 25:25Speaker 1: eat the oatmeal. You know, we'll start eating their oat meal,
- 25:31Speaker 1: and she'll get up and go make it the way
- 25:33Speaker 1: she needs it to be made. If something's a little off, yeah,
- 25:37Speaker 1: or if I, like early in our marriage, because the
- 25:40Speaker 1: ice laate things got to be down to a t.
- 25:42Speaker 2: Her ice lat is her everything.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Early in the marriage when we got our esprescial machine,
- 25:50Speaker 1: if I didn't have enough sugar, or if I had
- 25:54Speaker 1: too much, like it had to be redone. There is
- 25:59Speaker 1: redone as and she'll walk over, get out the little
- 26:01Speaker 1: spoon out here, clinking around the thing.
- 26:03Speaker 2: And I'm just thinking, mm hm, there's no greater anvil
- 26:06Speaker 2: in this world to be like galvanized on and just
- 26:11Speaker 2: molded sugar then than getting someone's order, rob, have you
- 26:17Speaker 2: guys coffee?
- 26:18Speaker 4: Have you guys ever been told the correct way to
- 26:19Speaker 4: fill a stanley with water? I've been chastised on how
- 26:23Speaker 4: I fill up a stand with water? You got to
- 26:26Speaker 4: fill it a certain one, chef, one of these, yes,
- 26:28Speaker 4: one of those. Sure, Oh, how I please do?
- 26:31Speaker 2: Tell I've hey, can you fill my water?
- 26:35Speaker 5: Sure?
- 26:36Speaker 4: Come back and go with the ice ratio is off?
- 26:39Speaker 4: I go, Well, that's a little odd What do you mean?
- 26:42Speaker 4: She goes, you need seventy five percent of the cup
- 26:45Speaker 4: with ice and then and then water. But it has
- 26:48Speaker 4: to be that or also just won't be right. And
- 26:51Speaker 4: I said, huh, I didn't know.
- 26:53Speaker 2: That weird weird thing about water.
- 26:56Speaker 3: Bobo and chili Bean are would be best friends because
- 27:00Speaker 3: I get that note. That's every week. Brother, you get
- 27:03Speaker 3: it too, Oh that's every week. Oh yeah, just about
- 27:09Speaker 3: to get in bed.
- 27:10Speaker 2: Oh, honey, and thirsty. Can't you give me a water?
- 27:14Speaker 5: Oh?
- 27:15Speaker 3: So for the whole like three hours that we were
- 27:17Speaker 3: getting ready for bed, you didn't.
- 27:19Speaker 2: You didn't get like a water or anything. No, I
- 27:22Speaker 2: already finish it. I'm so thirsty. I'll go get you
- 27:27Speaker 2: a water. Oh that's crazy. There's a sink right down
- 27:29Speaker 2: the hall. Yeah yeah, yeah, I'll come.
- 27:30Speaker 3: I'll come back with one of these with the water, honey,
- 27:33Speaker 3: and my Stanley in my Stanley, okay, go get let
- 27:39Speaker 3: me go get your Stanley and then I get one
- 27:41Speaker 3: of these.
- 27:41Speaker 2: MF Stanley's dude, just shout out.
- 27:44Speaker 3: Stanley whatever, No, free shoot up. I can't fucking open
- 27:48Speaker 3: these things. To save my life. Death group, I'll sit
- 27:51Speaker 3: there and just and I'll get the mark on that
- 27:55Speaker 3: little mark on my hand. That's every night, that's every
- 27:59Speaker 3: one of my.
- 27:59Speaker 1: Easy about those things, though, is you put normal, normal
- 28:04Speaker 1: temperature water in there.
- 28:06Speaker 2: And it'll taste cold. I don't know how they do it.
- 28:09Speaker 2: I want to. I want to see.
- 28:10Speaker 1: It tastes cleaner, it tastes better no matter what bro
- 28:12Speaker 1: especially you're drinking it through a straw trons one. It's
- 28:15Speaker 1: not exactly like that, but she's got one of those
- 28:17Speaker 1: bottles and I'll take zips on it every now and
- 28:20Speaker 1: then I'm like, yo, this is the greatest water I've
- 28:22Speaker 1: ever had.
- 28:22Speaker 4: Oh yeah, there's something about when your significant other.
- 28:28Speaker 2: Makes the water and you take a sip out of it.
- 28:30Speaker 3: Go.
- 28:30Speaker 4: I can't make water like that. If there's something about it.
- 28:34Speaker 4: I've tried the seventy five percent ice. I still just
- 28:37Speaker 4: can't get it. I go, hey, baby, can I please
- 28:40Speaker 4: have a sip of water?
- 28:40Speaker 2: Oh? Yes, sure, this is the best water.
- 28:42Speaker 4: It's like a It's the same feeling as when you
- 28:45Speaker 4: got out of recess after playing you know, two an
- 28:48Speaker 4: touch football and you get to that water fountain and
- 28:50Speaker 4: you're you went.
- 28:51Speaker 1: Gold ball to dodgeball. Twenty minutes of recess is over.
- 28:55Speaker 1: And you sprint to the water fountain.
- 28:57Speaker 4: It's the best water you've ever had in your life
- 28:59Speaker 4: or out of the whole after like a practice, dude, the.
- 29:02Speaker 3: Little miniature furniture dollies that you would sit on with
- 29:06Speaker 3: the little hand Uh do you know what I'm talking about,
- 29:10Speaker 3: the little hand grips and you sit on it like
- 29:11Speaker 3: a crab and you're kicking yourself across the gymnasium floor.
- 29:15Speaker 2: You remember those? Yes? What is it? Oh, dude? Like
- 29:18Speaker 2: the little four wheel roller things you would sit on
- 29:21Speaker 2: and like you.
- 29:22Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, yeah, it's got the hand handle on each side,
- 29:24Speaker 3: got chad, Yeah, you get.
- 29:27Speaker 1: Some water after that. But that's where we're fucked up.
- 29:31Speaker 1: We're talking about our best drinks of water being out
- 29:33Speaker 1: a hose and a water fountain. Yeah, and now we're
- 29:35Speaker 1: growing men tasting this water out of Stanley's and whatever
- 29:37Speaker 1: the cuffs that they make.
- 29:38Speaker 3: Getting the ice ratio right. So now for any dad's
- 29:42Speaker 3: at home, they're dealing with the same thing. The advice
- 29:44Speaker 3: I would give chef I put the ice.
- 29:46Speaker 2: To the brim.
- 29:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I just fill it to the brim and then
- 29:50Speaker 3: I get I get the deeps looking at me like
- 29:52Speaker 3: I'm crazy.
- 29:52Speaker 2: I felt crazy doing it. Well, you just only have
- 29:55Speaker 2: like that no water in it. There's no water.
- 29:59Speaker 3: And make sure you're at McDonald's or wherever, because you
- 30:02Speaker 3: gotta get the die coke from McDonald's.
- 30:05Speaker 2: McDonald's. You gotta get the dia from mcdonald'st the McDonald's
- 30:10Speaker 2: machines broon.
- 30:13Speaker 3: Hey, I have a large diye coke with extra ice, Yes,
- 30:18Speaker 3: but you know how you put extra ice in it.
- 30:21Speaker 3: I need you to put extra extra ice in it,
- 30:25Speaker 3: extra o, yes, ma'am. Okay, that's how you did it, dude,
- 30:32Speaker 3: because it's never enough ice.
- 30:34Speaker 1: And if you're at Chili's, don't get the case of
- 30:36Speaker 1: the why would you get the case of the case.
- 30:40Speaker 1: The problem too, that we are in is they never
- 30:45Speaker 1: mess up our orders. They never they never mess.
- 30:48Speaker 2: Up like our wives are.
- 30:51Speaker 1: Our women take care of us way better then we
- 30:55Speaker 1: take care of them when it comes to those when
- 30:56Speaker 1: it comes to those things.
- 30:57Speaker 2: Are you I'm.
- 30:58Speaker 3: Being dead serars when I asked this? Are you being sarcastic?
- 31:01Speaker 3: Are you being serious? I'm being dead ass here?
- 31:04Speaker 1: Okay, like like all the times where I'm sitting here
- 31:06Speaker 1: and I'm like, you know, I'm sitting here fitted about
- 31:08Speaker 1: the nuances. Yeah, Charles's orders or getting things the right way.
- 31:12Speaker 1: I'm trying to think, like, okay, do I have anything
- 31:14Speaker 1: in my brain that she gets wrong?
- 31:16Speaker 2: And the answer is no.
- 31:17Speaker 3: Okay, I feel really good because I've I was gonna
- 31:20Speaker 3: laugh at first. I was gonna go down like a
- 31:22Speaker 3: bit trail of her messing up my orders. And I
- 31:25Speaker 3: was thinking about it. I was like, oh, damn, she
- 31:27Speaker 3: does like nail it every time.
- 31:30Speaker 2: Yeah, so it's really it's respect.
- 31:32Speaker 7: Damn not to get ahead. One of you has the
- 31:36Speaker 7: dad hack of the week. I believe now would be
- 31:38Speaker 7: a wonderful time to read it. It has to do
- 31:41Speaker 7: with this conversation.
- 31:43Speaker 2: Dad hack of the week. Do we want to do
- 31:44Speaker 2: a drum roll for dad hacks of the week?
- 31:47Speaker 7: I might have applied to your face. Keep doing the show.
- 31:50Speaker 7: Let me check the notes real quick. I might have
- 31:52Speaker 7: lied to your fucking face. This is this is the
- 31:54Speaker 7: dad brain, this is the male brain in real time.
- 31:56Speaker 7: That's okay, regardless, we're getting the dad hack.
- 32:00Speaker 2: Yeah, waits you brought up Facebook.
- 32:02Speaker 4: I'm so sorry, But have you guys ever seen a
- 32:04Speaker 4: the fake the crazy fake stories on AI? And it's
- 32:07Speaker 4: like college football base and they sent him out. I
- 32:09Speaker 4: saw one that was the recent issue out in the
- 32:13Speaker 4: correspondence dinner and it was like the guy who ran
- 32:16Speaker 4: in the building with the gun was a UT staffer.
- 32:19Speaker 4: All these it's like old Jim Bob from like Cokefield, Tennessee,
- 32:23Speaker 4: is like, you tell me this guy coach for the balls?
- 32:26Speaker 5: What the hell?
- 32:28Speaker 2: And that's like all anytime I go on Facebook, that's
- 32:30Speaker 2: all I see. And it's unbelievable. What people for.
- 32:33Speaker 5: That's my fault.
- 32:34Speaker 4: Guys, hey, trying to fill time, that's my fault.
- 32:39Speaker 2: That's all me. We know your algorithm is flooded with
- 32:43Speaker 2: ut content. No, I see it for everything, though, I
- 32:47Speaker 2: really do. I just put a ut example. The ball
- 32:51Speaker 2: boy was at the court.
- 32:55Speaker 5: The hell is he doing?
- 32:57Speaker 2: I'll see that dinner we're shooting was at I'm sorry
- 33:02Speaker 2: you see.
- 33:02Speaker 1: The video on Facebook AI with the Tennessee staffer.
- 33:08Speaker 2: No, I don't think I did.
- 33:09Speaker 3: It was a planet. I'm telling you right now that
- 33:11Speaker 3: ain't no Tennessee ball boy. That's Alabama ball boy wearing
- 33:15Speaker 3: Tennessee gear. It's a false flag operation.
- 33:18Speaker 2: If anybody comes across, don't believe it. They heard him
- 33:23Speaker 2: saying roll tied.
- 33:24Speaker 5: I swear to God I'm not the dad act.
- 33:27Speaker 7: It is the comment under follow up from last week
- 33:30Speaker 7: one of you had by Patrick Blisneyak oh I read
- 33:33Speaker 7: that one, did you, blizz Dog?
- 33:36Speaker 5: I didn't think you read that. I apologize if so.
- 33:39Speaker 3: Blizz Dog said, we're losing the crowd right now. Blioz
- 33:45Speaker 3: Dog said, taking a step further, my wife's contacted my
- 33:48Speaker 3: phone under the note section of all over regular orders,
- 33:51Speaker 3: different restaurants. Oh yeah, that's right, et cetera. That's what
- 33:54Speaker 3: kicked it all off. That's what kicked it off. I
- 33:56Speaker 3: want to get the merch.
- 33:57Speaker 2: It's okay.
- 33:59Speaker 3: He went to get the merge. He went, that's okay,
- 34:01Speaker 3: that's okay. Look look look stay on track, stay on track,
- 34:06Speaker 3: stay on track.
- 34:07Speaker 2: We want do we want the Dada? Because we did
- 34:09Speaker 2: drum roll for the dad. AC hate the Dad the Dada.
- 34:13Speaker 2: That's a long dead hack hit the.
- 34:16Speaker 3: Let's gave it me your email, say were breving Pallas
- 34:20Speaker 3: Brown PTC. Go here running a household with a four
- 34:23Speaker 3: year old daughter and an eleven month old son. So yeah,
- 34:26Speaker 3: I basically live inside a hostage negotiation mornings before in school,
- 34:30Speaker 3: before school, absolutely war zone. We're talking full scale meltdowns
- 34:34Speaker 3: over everything outfits, no pants, war crime, socks apparently offensive
- 34:39Speaker 3: and if it's not a dress, I might as well
- 34:42Speaker 3: be asking her to wear a burlapped sack. Oh in breakfast,
- 34:46Speaker 3: she wants pancakes every single morning, like she's a tiny
- 34:50Speaker 3: carb obsessed king. So I had to adapt, evolve, and survive.
- 34:54Speaker 3: I started playing shopkeeper. I go into her closet, then
- 34:58Speaker 3: come back out as the sho upkeeper, full character, the
- 35:01Speaker 3: whole thing, holding two three pre approved outfits like ah, yes, madam,
- 35:05Speaker 3: welcome to Daddy's fashion boutique. These are today's finest selections.
- 35:11Speaker 3: And now she shops, no fighting, no tears, just a
- 35:15Speaker 3: tiny diva browsing like she's at Norstrom. Next step, I'm
- 35:20Speaker 3: opening a restaurant. I'm making a breakfast venu five options.
- 35:23Speaker 2: I'll be your waiter. Whatever she orders, I cross it
- 35:27Speaker 2: off for the week.
- 35:28Speaker 3: Sorry miss all out of pancakes supply chain issue. We'll
- 35:31Speaker 3: see how long before she demands to speak to the manager,
- 35:34Speaker 3: who is unfortunately also me. Good luck out there, boys,
- 35:38Speaker 3: stay strong. Taylor from Franklin, Tennessee. Hey, that is an
- 35:44Speaker 3: incredible right up, It's incredible, and I legitimately feels like
- 35:49Speaker 3: he's in I'm in the same household he's in.
- 35:51Speaker 2: Yeah, because mine, I have written.
- 35:53Speaker 1: It's like Tantrum's four year old chaos with Scottie. This
- 35:58Speaker 1: morning was a blow bath because scott he's just she's
- 36:03Speaker 1: just upset. She's in she's having a moment. She's in
- 36:05Speaker 1: a mood to where it's mama or die. You can't
- 36:08Speaker 1: set her on the step stool, t yogurt.
- 36:11Speaker 2: Rue. Same thing with my man here.
- 36:13Speaker 1: Ruth's like comes up and we were in a phase,
- 36:16Speaker 1: and I feel like it was before she turned four.
- 36:18Speaker 1: Four just clicked in her brain that she wants pancakes
- 36:20Speaker 1: all the time.
- 36:22Speaker 2: Yeah. Good.
- 36:23Speaker 1: But it would always be light to where I say,
- 36:25Speaker 1: when mom's upstairs doing the morning routine, I'm downstairs doing
- 36:28Speaker 1: the breakfast lunch, like getting everything set up for us
- 36:32Speaker 1: to leave and do everything else. Get mom and breakfast,
- 36:34Speaker 1: get all the kids breakfast, get Rou's lunch, all that stuff.
- 36:37Speaker 2: But it would always be.
- 36:37Speaker 1: Easier with Rue because Rue is good with like a yogurt,
- 36:41Speaker 1: or if I'm making eggs, I'm usually making eggs for everybody,
- 36:44Speaker 1: making eggs for myself, making eggs for my wife. Rue
- 36:46Speaker 1: a eat eggs. Scotty would eat eggs. But now, bro,
- 36:49Speaker 1: it's just a different ball game to where Rue just
- 36:52Speaker 1: wants other stuff. She wants oatmeal. She wants oatmeal a
- 36:54Speaker 1: certain way. She wants the dress comment spot on you
- 36:57Speaker 1: want to bring out pants and a shirt or T
- 37:00Speaker 1: shirt and shorts, She ain't having it. She wants to
- 37:02Speaker 1: wear a dress today. Putting shoes on, the shoes things
- 37:06Speaker 1: not as much of an issue. But she walked up
- 37:07Speaker 1: this morning to the fridge like, I want pancakes on
- 37:09Speaker 1: my sweetheart. We're all out of pancakes supply chain issues,
- 37:13Speaker 1: and I got to open up every drawer in the
- 37:16Speaker 1: fridge to show her that we don't have pancakes.
- 37:18Speaker 2: Sweetheart, those were last week.
- 37:19Speaker 1: Grab him in a ziplog back so that way we
- 37:21Speaker 1: could heat them up when you wanted them. Well, we're
- 37:23Speaker 1: out of pancakes. Is there anything else, sweetheart? Would you
- 37:25Speaker 1: want to yogurt?
- 37:25Speaker 3: I'm begging her to have a yogurt because I can
- 37:27Speaker 3: just grab a yogurt cup out of the thing.
- 37:28Speaker 2: We can set it up.
- 37:29Speaker 1: I can slice a few strawberries or banana and go.
- 37:33Speaker 1: Now she wants oatmeal, so I gotta make a whole
- 37:35Speaker 1: thing with oatmeal. It's freaking oats, it's cinnamon, it's gias eats,
- 37:41Speaker 1: it's Greek yogurt. I throwing a little bit of banana
- 37:44Speaker 1: protein not enough to get her taste by as being
- 37:47Speaker 1: like dead, I don't want protein in here. She got
- 37:50Speaker 1: the right ratio of milk in there, and all while
- 37:55Speaker 1: Scottie's on the stepstool or wherever mom is at trying
- 37:58Speaker 1: to chase down Mom because she wants Mom the whole
- 38:00Speaker 1: she's crying. She doesn't want anything, dude. It is a
- 38:02Speaker 1: war zone in the mornings, dinnertime war zone. Now like
- 38:07Speaker 1: rude just doesn't eat her dinner, and she doesn't eat
- 38:09Speaker 1: dinner like for example, let's say we eat dinner around
- 38:12Speaker 1: six fifteen, and we usually start bedtime very much.
- 38:16Speaker 2: So was Scotty at seven?
- 38:17Speaker 1: Yeah, we could be eating dinner the whole time, bro,
- 38:20Speaker 1: and my wife and I will be done. We'll be
- 38:22Speaker 1: trying to get scott at eat. But Scotty doesn't want
- 38:24Speaker 1: what's in front of her all the time. She wants
- 38:26Speaker 1: berries from the fridge. Should be pointing, trying to say
- 38:29Speaker 1: her version of berries pointing at the fridge yelling or
- 38:31Speaker 1: b b B that means banana.
- 38:34Speaker 3: Mm hmm. She's a big fruit monster, bro, so you
- 38:37Speaker 3: can't zilla. Zilla is a monster, but then't rude. Like
- 38:44Speaker 3: we're trying to get scott at eat. Scotty starts to eating.
- 38:46Speaker 3: We start trying to trick her with the berries. Hide
- 38:48Speaker 3: the berries under the food, so she grabs both, get
- 38:51Speaker 3: it on the fork. She's show you know, we're getting
- 38:53Speaker 3: her to use a fork. Put the berry on first
- 38:54Speaker 3: and the chicken.
- 38:55Speaker 1: All wait, chicken off first, berry on after, So it's
- 38:57Speaker 1: hiding behind the raspberry.
- 38:58Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah yeah. And so we're trying to get
- 39:00Speaker 2: Scottie to eating.
- 39:01Speaker 1: All the while Rue is just like in imagination worlds
- 39:05Speaker 1: or one asked questions like let's do rosen thorn again,
- 39:07Speaker 1: or she wants to talk the whole time, and like
- 39:09Speaker 1: not eat her food, And then you just got a
- 39:12Speaker 1: leverager with like all right, well you don't eat your dinner.
- 39:14Speaker 1: You're not part of Clean Plate Club, You're not going
- 39:16Speaker 1: to get a cookie. Then the tears start coming, Then
- 39:20Speaker 1: the whining or the tears can potentially start coming. Hey sweetheart,
- 39:23Speaker 1: you do not have to eat your food. I promise
- 39:24Speaker 1: you. You do not have to eat. Just know, or she'll
- 39:26Speaker 1: be like I'm tired. Just start trying to play the
- 39:28Speaker 1: I'm tired game, like I'm too tired to eat. Okay,
- 39:31Speaker 1: that's great, you're too tired. You don't have to eat.
- 39:34Speaker 1: We'll just go upstairs and start getting ready for bed.
- 39:36Speaker 1: Now I don't want to Well, you just said you
- 39:37Speaker 1: were tired, because she's trying to get to where she
- 39:40Speaker 1: can either finagle.
- 39:41Speaker 2: How do I get to the cookie? Yes, at least resist.
- 39:44Speaker 3: I just wish that I had Captain Price in my
- 39:46Speaker 3: ear at all times from call of duty.
- 39:48Speaker 2: Just stick to the mission. No cookie unless the flight's clean.
- 39:53Speaker 3: Yeah, just the constant reminder of like, I'm doing the
- 39:55Speaker 3: right thing. I am doing the right thing. Yeah, we
- 39:58Speaker 3: will not stray from the mission.
- 40:00Speaker 1: Then when Scotty's want mom, you just see the look
- 40:03Speaker 1: on Mom's face. She's beating down mental all the stuff
- 40:05Speaker 1: to where I'm like, I'll take Scotty. I hold Scotty.
- 40:07Speaker 1: Scotty's just violently still screaming to where Mom has to
- 40:10Speaker 1: take Scotty. Andrew every night, who's doing bedtime tonight? Just
- 40:17Speaker 1: for me to hear the words, it's dads turn.
- 40:19Speaker 3: Oh I crushed bedtime with you, bro.
- 40:30Speaker 2: Just get that extra little kick in the nuts right
- 40:33Speaker 2: before you go to bed, Mama, do bedtime tomorrow. Your
- 40:37Speaker 2: mama does better. This how we do it every night,
- 40:39Speaker 2: so we heart you shall do it. You know what,
- 40:41Speaker 2: We'll just do the top of mama every night. How
- 40:43Speaker 2: about that? I feel that dad hack in my loins.
- 40:47Speaker 3: Bro. That is exactly the pancakes, the dresses, everything. Yeah,
- 40:53Speaker 3: you gotta you gotta become some kind of little uh.
- 40:56Speaker 3: I saw a clip on social media. These guys are
- 40:58Speaker 3: at a bachelor party and Scotland. Yeah, and they stayed
- 41:01Speaker 3: in the castle and they're all like super hungover this
- 41:05Speaker 3: one morning, and the entire staff of the castle and
- 41:10Speaker 3: they all have like the best Irish accents of all time,
- 41:13Speaker 3: come up with like a roll in tray with the
- 41:16Speaker 3: ham like sitting on there, and they're cutting the ham
- 41:20Speaker 3: for them like in their room, and they're getting a
- 41:22Speaker 3: little hair of the dog like mimosa or like some
- 41:25Speaker 3: kind of bloody merry thing and they're just getting treated
- 41:28Speaker 3: like royalty.
- 41:29Speaker 5: Dude.
- 41:29Speaker 3: Maybe that's what you gotta do for reu. You gotta
- 41:32Speaker 3: be like a hotel tucking.
- 41:36Speaker 2: I know.
- 41:36Speaker 1: But then you get like I do enough to where
- 41:39Speaker 1: it seems like you question yourself on spoiling them or
- 41:42Speaker 1: keeping the keeping things at such a certain expectation that
- 41:45Speaker 1: they're not ready for when adversity strikes. So if you
- 41:49Speaker 1: go full royalty mode, I get it. She's only four.
- 41:53Speaker 1: You got time, you got time. But oh bro in
- 41:57Speaker 1: her tantrums right now, are no next level. We were
- 42:01Speaker 1: over the weekend, like family came in town and we
- 42:06Speaker 1: were in the pool all afternoon, and then it's time
- 42:09Speaker 1: to do bathtime, you know, bath bathe clean him up,
- 42:12Speaker 1: get him ready for bed. Yeah, and Lola, God bless her,
- 42:16Speaker 1: that's grandma, that's Charles's mom. She's doing bath time. But
- 42:20Speaker 1: you could just hear Scotty and Rue yelling back and forth.
- 42:23Speaker 1: I can hear Rue, Scottie, you're not being very kind.
- 42:25Speaker 1: You're not being very kind.
- 42:28Speaker 2: And I'm like, let me go up there.
- 42:29Speaker 1: We all go up there, and Rue it's like, all right, mom,
- 42:33Speaker 1: just take Scotty, start giving going with her on bedtime
- 42:35Speaker 1: because Scotty's being Zilla. Scott Zilla is being Zilla in
- 42:38Speaker 1: the tub. She's got it, just a smile on her face.
- 42:41Speaker 1: She's just she knows shes great chaos. Rue's beside herself, like, hey,
- 42:47Speaker 1: take Scotty and go. Rue's coming to the coming to
- 42:50Speaker 1: the realization that it's dad has turning to do bedtime.
- 42:53Speaker 2: She hates it.
- 42:55Speaker 1: She's yelling at Lola, Lola didn't watch my body. Los
- 43:01Speaker 1: like I watched your body. I'm like, sweetheart, it seems
- 43:03Speaker 1: like Lola w washed you. She didn't watch my body.
- 43:05Speaker 1: Lola gets a rag, Okay, I'll start wash your body.
- 43:07Speaker 2: She's like no, and just starts swinging, knocking the rag
- 43:09Speaker 2: out of her hand.
- 43:10Speaker 1: Loloah's catching straight and I'm like, sweet, Rue, hey, you
- 43:13Speaker 1: gotta calm down. And then she just starts breaking down
- 43:15Speaker 1: because I'm now I'm meeting I'm now matching the anger with.
- 43:19Speaker 2: You're coming from me. And then I'm like, hey, Lolo,
- 43:23Speaker 2: I can take care of this. Mom's in the other room, Mozilla.
- 43:26Speaker 1: I go Rue, like, you can wash yourself or we
- 43:28Speaker 1: can drain. And then she's just losing it. She's losing
- 43:31Speaker 1: it in this tantrum way that's like her brain's not working.
- 43:34Speaker 1: It's just screaming, its tears, it's yelling like anger.
- 43:37Speaker 2: Noises like a.
- 43:40Speaker 1: Good bro And I'm sitting there like what the hell
- 43:44Speaker 1: is going on? And she just starts she gets to wear.
- 43:47Speaker 1: She just starts splashing and knocking water all off the
- 43:50Speaker 1: top and then my my lid is now flipping because
- 43:54Speaker 1: we inacting like this and you fucked up.
- 43:57Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah.
- 43:59Speaker 1: So I'm like go in and like you know, pick
- 44:01Speaker 1: her up and grab her like physically, like reminds me
- 44:03Speaker 1: of the way my dad used to grab me to
- 44:05Speaker 1: where later in the night, I'm sitting there feeling like
- 44:07Speaker 1: an imposter, like I'm feeling like you can't lose it
- 44:11Speaker 1: or you can't like lose yourself. And my lid flips too,
- 44:14Speaker 1: And then I'm just angry trying to parent her because
- 44:16Speaker 1: that's not solving anything, like I'm not, I'm not, I'm not.
- 44:20Speaker 1: Her brain doesn't know how to compartmentalize and emotionally regulate
- 44:23Speaker 1: and do things to get her calm, especially when she's
- 44:26Speaker 1: out of ten. Now I'm reacting poorly. I'm grabbing her
- 44:29Speaker 1: getting out of the tub, going and like sitting her,
- 44:31Speaker 1: like standing her, sitting her like you know where, I'm
- 44:35Speaker 1: like ripping her down, like stay in so i can
- 44:36Speaker 1: dry her off. Yeah, And I'm mad at her while
- 44:39Speaker 1: she's like crying and doing everything else and I'm losing myself.
- 44:42Speaker 1: My wife comes in and helps save the day kind
- 44:44Speaker 1: of like sit with her like, hey, go take a moment,
- 44:46Speaker 1: but it was.
- 44:49Speaker 2: Not good to where then I'm trying to calm down
- 44:53Speaker 2: and come back in.
- 44:54Speaker 1: I'm trying to, you know, when I'm coming in from
- 44:55Speaker 1: my time for bedtime, trying to like apologize to and
- 44:58Speaker 1: everything else, because then you just feel like a fucking
- 45:00Speaker 1: piece of shit.
- 45:01Speaker 2: Dad.
- 45:02Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, God, Willy boy, you can. You're in the pocket.
- 45:06Speaker 3: You gotta be able to handle yourself better in the pocket.
- 45:09Speaker 3: But the four year old tantrums.
- 45:12Speaker 1: I don't know any parents out there listening to that
- 45:14Speaker 1: story and being like hell yeah, bro, like that shit
- 45:16Speaker 1: happens with this all the time.
- 45:17Speaker 3: There are so many listeners right now. I am not
- 45:22Speaker 3: one of them because I only have a nine month
- 45:24Speaker 3: soon to be ten month old that are sitting there.
- 45:28Speaker 2: Going retweet, retweet, Willie. I've seen it.
- 45:34Speaker 3: I've been I've been around the three four five year
- 45:37Speaker 3: old range enough to like, you see the tantrums, dude.
- 45:40Speaker 1: But man, there's some that are like, it seems like
- 45:43Speaker 1: you're watching a horror film.
- 45:44Speaker 3: Oh yeah, what the fuck is going on? Oh yeah,
- 45:47Speaker 3: They're like it's a demonic possession. Yeah yeah, dude, Like
- 45:52Speaker 3: no part of me would see roue like going through
- 45:56Speaker 3: a tantrum and my brain go.
- 45:58Speaker 2: To damn, aren't Charles Will don't know?
- 46:01Speaker 1: It's just like their bodies and minds get hijacked.
- 46:05Speaker 3: Yes, I've seen it's nuts, man, I've seen it. And
- 46:09Speaker 3: I don't say that to like minimize it. I'm saying, like,
- 46:13Speaker 3: this is a real thing, this is a valid thing. Yeah,
- 46:16Speaker 3: you research this stuff, the bro. Their brains are just
- 46:19Speaker 3: trying to comprehend. I am not in control. WTF question Mark.
- 46:25Speaker 3: I want to be in control. Yeah, especially Reue.
- 46:30Speaker 2: She she seems very dialed in, very type.
- 46:33Speaker 1: It's got to be a certain one because then it
- 46:34Speaker 1: can like it's wild. How quickly it just doesn't one
- 46:39Speaker 1: to eighty Yeah, and then they're hitting you with something kind,
- 46:41Speaker 1: something sweet, something that's like you you're still processes where
- 46:44Speaker 1: you're kind of beefing with them and you're like, well, where's.
- 46:47Speaker 2: This person been?
- 46:50Speaker 3: Bro.
- 46:50Speaker 2: Here here's a comment right here from Colton Jones on Spotify.
- 46:53Speaker 2: This is a this is a dad. This is a
- 46:56Speaker 2: dad win boys, dad Win.
- 46:59Speaker 1: I was my three and a half year old down
- 47:02Speaker 1: for bed last night. I was giving him a backpad.
- 47:03Speaker 1: He looks at me dead in the eyes and says
- 47:06Speaker 1: quote you are the best Dad, brought a tear to
- 47:09Speaker 1: my eye.
- 47:10Speaker 2: Love you boys, pet Siko out.
- 47:12Speaker 1: But that right there, it's like, then that happens and
- 47:16Speaker 1: you're like, bro, do you not realize that what just
- 47:20Speaker 1: happened ten minutes ago?
- 47:22Speaker 2: Yeah? We just went full full twelve rounds.
- 47:25Speaker 3: Yeah, like me, and we're still in the middle of
- 47:27Speaker 3: the We're still in the middle of the fight.
- 47:28Speaker 2: Yeah. Then they hit you with that and you're just like,
- 47:32Speaker 2: what the fuck? I love you mental war?
- 47:38Speaker 1: Yeah, uh, give me, give me a strong kiss, one,
- 47:42Speaker 1: two three, I love you, don't the bed bugs might
- 47:44Speaker 1: go be great. I love you, dad, Dad. I'll see
- 47:47Speaker 1: you in the morning. Get some good sleep, dad, Dad.
- 47:51Speaker 1: Then I'm walking out. It's just like godly man. Yeah,
- 47:57Speaker 1: you're just like, man, this is the best drop in
- 47:59Speaker 1: the world. And you're like, god, this is the hardest
- 48:01Speaker 1: job in the world.
- 48:02Speaker 2: She had to have won that, right, How is she
- 48:05Speaker 2: so good? Cool with that? That's crazy? Control all delete? Yeah, Yeah,
- 48:13Speaker 2: we uh have another dad win while we're on it.
- 48:15Speaker 2: Let's do it. This is a dude, This is a
- 48:17Speaker 2: really fun one.
- 48:18Speaker 4: Uh.
- 48:18Speaker 3: He did provide a picture of the Broncos mascot and apologies.
- 48:22Speaker 3: I don't know the name of that mascot, calling Bronco Bronco,
- 48:26Speaker 3: and mister Bronco, he's holding the little tink.
- 48:28Speaker 7: Dude, Thunder, let's go. That's a great name, Miles Thunder.
- 48:35Speaker 7: They had a real horse named Thunder, but a I
- 48:37Speaker 7: said was Thunder. Miles is the mascot. Thunder is a
- 48:39Speaker 7: real I'm so sorry you.
- 48:41Speaker 3: Don'd man broke. You're that you just saved us from
- 48:48Speaker 3: so many Broncos fans in the comics.

- 48:52Speaker 2: hands on his knees.
- 48:54Speaker 3: He's okay, We're good, We're good. Zach from Reddit said,

- 50:53Speaker 1: getting my trash to the curb right after I hit
- 50:55Speaker 1: sand Love the pod and loved the Dan Gable quotes
- 50:58Speaker 1: PT Siko out dude, let's go man. It fires me

- 52:02Speaker 3: that you can punt pass and embarrass yourself kicking in.
- 52:05Speaker 2: Yes, shout out Alex, thanks for right in, brother.
- 52:08Speaker 3: Yes, thank you Alex. This comes from Nick Lang. This
- 52:12Speaker 3: is also this kind of pet fit. WiFi is twenty
- 52:16Speaker 3: one weeks pregnant. We were taking a shower together after
- 52:19Speaker 3: a long day of yard work. She was gracious enough
- 52:22Speaker 3: to put a bow on it before hitting the shockwave
- 52:26Speaker 3: and said you need to do the same to me
- 52:28Speaker 3: sometime soon.
- 52:30Speaker 2: Panic.
- 52:31Speaker 3: I said, I don't want to be talking to my
- 52:33Speaker 3: baby like that.
- 52:34Speaker 2: Down there? Am I being a bitch? And please tell
- 52:38Speaker 2: me to stop being a bitch?
- 52:39Speaker 5: If so?
- 52:40Speaker 2: SICKO out Nick Lang. That's kind of pet fit.
- 52:45Speaker 3: Oh yeah yeah, Nick, put a bow on it.
- 52:53Speaker 2: What's going from that?
- 52:55Speaker 3: Don't be a bitch. I don't know what to tell you.
- 52:59Speaker 3: This is put a bow on it, brother, I don't
- 53:02Speaker 3: know what to tell you. Come on, man, we're just
- 53:04Speaker 3: talking earlier about the wives. They can't take care of
- 53:07Speaker 3: us more than we take care of them. Come on
- 53:10Speaker 3: between the lines, man, I just got it that we
- 53:18Speaker 3: may have to cut this round the pod. But I
- 53:20Speaker 3: just got a crazy text. I told you how this
- 53:23Speaker 3: morning went walking out of the house. Yeah, I don't
- 53:28Speaker 3: know if I should read this.
- 53:29Speaker 1: Don't read it, chew on a longer because we have
- 53:31Speaker 1: some grow We have a cracker cold one.
- 53:33Speaker 3: But you will you read it and tell me if
- 53:35Speaker 3: it's too much to read?
- 53:48Speaker 2: Is that Tami?
- 53:49Speaker 1: It's tm I but great messages to receive. Okay, cool, cool,
- 53:52Speaker 1: great messages to receive.
- 53:53Speaker 2: Dude, I looked at that. It's like, hell yeah, hell yeah.
- 53:58Speaker 1: I have a crack of cold one here. Yes, from
- 54:00Speaker 1: my man Devin Eldred. This is on Discord, Cracking one
- 54:05Speaker 1: after the little one, Cracking one after taking the little
- 54:09Speaker 1: one to her first kids fishing day, didn't catch anything,
- 54:11Speaker 1: didn't care let spending time with my little princess. Awesome
- 54:14Speaker 1: photo with a ridge rush ollipop, shout out, ollipop, Cracking
- 54:18Speaker 1: a coal one.
- 54:20Speaker 2: That's a that's bad ass, bro, that's honestly really sick.
- 54:23Speaker 1: I have a crack a coal one with Scotty go
- 54:26Speaker 1: ahe Scotty's getting better with her words. Scotty's getting better
- 54:29Speaker 1: than moral moral dialed in with routine. This is a
- 54:33Speaker 1: crack of coal one. And also there's a dad loss
- 54:35Speaker 1: in here.
- 54:37Speaker 3: So I come home yesterday and right when.
- 54:41Speaker 2: I walk in the door, Scotti is fired up. You're
- 54:43Speaker 2: getting it.
- 54:43Speaker 1: I'm getting into that spot, into that face where Scotty
- 54:46Speaker 1: is now running to the door to greet Dad, Dad
- 54:49Speaker 1: or walk in. Sitters right there and she's like Dad, Dad, Dad, Dad,
- 54:52Speaker 1: and like runs over to me. And I reached down
- 54:54Speaker 1: to give her a hug because U always embraced me
- 54:56Speaker 1: with a big hug, so I reached down to embrace
- 54:58Speaker 1: and give Scotty hug. Scotty's not at the I'm gonna
- 55:00Speaker 1: hugg you range, yet this guy's at the day dead.
- 55:02Speaker 1: I reach over to try to give her a hug.
- 55:04Speaker 1: She hits a pivot, puts her foot in the ground,
- 55:06Speaker 1: turns around and goes the other direction. She goes the
- 55:09Speaker 1: other direction and goes over to the door, goes over
- 55:11Speaker 1: to the front door. I come in the back door,
- 55:13Speaker 1: embrace everybody. She starts be lining for the front door.
- 55:16Speaker 1: She goes over the front door. Or shoes are lined
- 55:19Speaker 1: up and she's like she's she she.
- 55:21Speaker 2: She wants me to take off my shoes. She knows
- 55:25Speaker 2: we don't wear shoes in the house. So no, hey,
- 55:27Speaker 2: Dad missed, yah no, that comes over.
- 55:29Speaker 1: She's got her arms out like she wants me to
- 55:31Speaker 1: give her go down and give her a hug, and
- 55:32Speaker 1: I guess her brain just tells her nope.
- 55:34Speaker 3: The next thing is, you got to take off your
- 55:35Speaker 3: hold on, hold on, dad, you gotta take your shoes.
- 55:37Speaker 3: I go over, I take off my I'm seeing. I'm like,
- 55:39Speaker 3: is she want me to take off my shoes? I
- 55:41Speaker 3: think she just knows the deal. We got to take
- 55:42Speaker 3: off our shoes when we come to now. So I
- 55:43Speaker 3: take off my shoes, kick them over by the other shoes,
- 55:45Speaker 3: and I look down at her and then she reaches.
- 55:47Speaker 2: Up with hug.
- 55:48Speaker 1: Hug, hug, pick her up, give her an awesome hug.
- 55:51Speaker 1: And she's like, sack, sack, sack. That's her telling me
- 55:55Speaker 1: she wants a snack. Dad, ass home. It's snack time.
- 55:57Speaker 1: It's snack time. It goes over the doraw. I'm like,
- 55:59Speaker 1: which snack you? She's like looking at me in the pantry.
- 56:01Speaker 1: She said, bye, Bay, Bay for a bar. Get her
- 56:04Speaker 1: one of these little you know, one of them eat bars.
- 56:07Speaker 2: Yeah, get her a bar. Head to her.
- 56:09Speaker 3: Here's where the dad loss comes in. But also she's
- 56:11Speaker 3: dialed in on the routine right now. She goes over
- 56:15Speaker 3: to the chair expecting TV time, So she goes gets
- 56:20Speaker 3: the bar, goes over, crawls.
- 56:21Speaker 1: Up on one of the chairs and like like sits
- 56:24Speaker 1: back in the chair.
- 56:25Speaker 2: I'll send you a video. I put it on my story.
- 56:27Speaker 2: But she just visual it's like the old man. It's hilarious.
- 56:34Speaker 3: And she's like like she's not like saying TV, but
- 56:38Speaker 3: she'll just be pointing a TV or she she starts
- 56:40Speaker 3: pointing at the remote. And that's where I'm like, I'm
- 56:44Speaker 3: fired up that she's dialed in on this routine that's
- 56:47Speaker 3: in her brain, like she's trained well. But also the
- 56:51Speaker 3: expectation when dadad comes home because Charle on Mondays works
- 56:55Speaker 3: later she doesn't get into like six fifteen, six thirty,
- 56:58Speaker 3: and but I don't at the routine coming in, like
- 57:01Speaker 3: when it's four point thirty and dad comes home that
- 57:03Speaker 3: hey it's TV time, that you're just gonna watch TV
- 57:05Speaker 3: when dead comes.
- 57:06Speaker 2: I'm like, you're fired up.
- 57:07Speaker 1: Because then Rue starts alluding to because Rue would always sy, Dad,
- 57:10Speaker 1: can I watch TV. I'll go back and forth with her.
- 57:13Speaker 1: Maybe she can maybe she can't. We'll ask her about
- 57:15Speaker 1: the TV coupons that we have, or I'll try and
- 57:18Speaker 1: time it up to where they can watch TV while
- 57:19Speaker 1: I'm cooking and getting dinner ready before Mama comes home.
- 57:22Speaker 2: Yeah. So I see Rue starting to allude to it
- 57:24Speaker 2: a little bit.
- 57:25Speaker 1: I'm like, Rue, hang on, hang on, hang on, because
- 57:26Speaker 1: I'm trying to tell Scotty, Scotty, we don't just watch
- 57:28Speaker 1: TV when dad Dad comes home. We're not gonna watch
- 57:31Speaker 1: TV right now. You got your snack, we can hang out.
- 57:33Speaker 1: Let's go find a toy. I can feel Rue start
- 57:36Speaker 1: to ask about why can't we watch TV? So as
- 57:39Speaker 1: I'm talking to Scotty, I stop Rue and I tell Rue.
- 57:41Speaker 1: I'm like, hey, Rue, come herey, I'll tell you a secret.
- 57:43Speaker 2: I just kind of tell.
- 57:44Speaker 1: Rue the whole thing, like, Hey, what I'm doing right
- 57:46Speaker 1: now is I'm trying to correct Scotty on not watching
- 57:50Speaker 1: TV right now. I know you want to watch TV.
- 57:52Speaker 1: And I'm like, look at me, because then she'll start
- 57:54Speaker 1: her eyes will start going to where she can start
- 57:57Speaker 1: start a little not a meltdown, but start crying and
- 58:00Speaker 1: start whining.
- 58:01Speaker 2: I'm like, hey, Sweetart, look at me.
- 58:02Speaker 1: Look at me, we're gonna watch TV, but we can't
- 58:06Speaker 1: do it right now because right now I need us
- 58:08Speaker 1: to correct Scotty thinking that whenever Dad I walks in,
- 58:10Speaker 1: she does her whole routine, go grabs a snack, and
- 58:12Speaker 1: it's like, hey, it's TV time, and I need you
- 58:15Speaker 1: to help me because when you when I come in
- 58:17Speaker 1: and you're doing it, she mimics you, remember monkey Sea
- 58:19Speaker 1: Monkey do? We talk about Monkey Sea Monkey do all
- 58:21Speaker 1: the time. She sees you doing it and expecting it,
- 58:24Speaker 1: She's gonna think she wants to do the same thing.
- 58:26Speaker 1: So as I teach scot as I'm trying to teach
- 58:30Speaker 1: Scotty that this is what we're not trying to do,
- 58:31Speaker 1: It's gonna take some time, but I need you to
- 58:33Speaker 1: help emulate it with me, to be patient, to tell
- 58:36Speaker 1: Scotty we need to be patient, and to show her that, hey,
- 58:38Speaker 1: let's play with the toy first and do some things
- 58:41Speaker 1: so that way she's not expecting TV all the time.
- 58:43Speaker 1: It took a little bit of work with Rue, but
- 58:45Speaker 1: she understood and was like on board, like, hey, as
- 58:47Speaker 1: I'm telling Rue Scotty, scott Zilla turns in the Zilla
- 58:50Speaker 1: she starts ripping up Ruth's else a puzzle. While I'm
- 58:54Speaker 1: telling Rue this stuff per taking in, throwing it on
- 58:57Speaker 1: the ground perfect Rue didn't react. I'm like, I really
- 59:01Speaker 1: want that to put together. Help you put together the
- 59:02Speaker 1: puzzle back, and she's like yeah, because she's sad that
- 59:04Speaker 1: she can't watch TV right now. So we started doing
- 59:07Speaker 1: the puzzle, Scotty starts playing somewhere else. We correct in
- 59:11Speaker 1: at that moment. Yesterday corrected the TV situation. But that
- 59:17Speaker 1: was kind of my crack of cold one on being
- 59:19Speaker 1: fired up about Scotty routine embracing me when I get home,
- 59:22Speaker 1: and then the dad loss on the inside is like thinking, like, Okay,
- 59:25Speaker 1: I'm creating too much of a routine of them expecting
- 59:31Speaker 1: TV when dad ad comes home.
- 59:33Speaker 3: That makes sense of like when you're solo, finding ways
- 59:37Speaker 3: to be able to still knock things out around the
- 59:40Speaker 3: house and also keep the kids entertained, no doubt, you
- 59:44Speaker 3: gotta get creative to some extent. Thankfully, Scarlet's in a
- 59:48Speaker 3: place where if I just put her on the floor
- 59:50Speaker 3: in the kitchen because she's like crawling crawling.
- 59:52Speaker 2: Now, yeah, that's like heaven for her.
- 59:57Speaker 3: And she still likes her a little toy where she's
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: closed off but if I just put her in the
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: kitchen and she's just motoring around and dying, just like talking, moving,
- 1:00:10Speaker 3: then I can do whatever I'm doing.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: For sure, for sure, just when they start to get
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: the age of where they're understanding and bring stuff out,
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: that is where then you catch yourself. Okay, I've utilized
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: like in my own accountability, like checking myself type of
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: reasoning because I can make up the reasons for because
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: it is good for when I'm trying to get dinner
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: ready or I'm trying to do something. They can blink
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: out for thirty minutes and watch It's tumble Leaf right now.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: They love the show tumble Leaf on that tumble lief.
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: But then when I actually think about it, I'm like,
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: sometimes I'll just veg out and be on my phone,
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: and so it's showing that I'm dead out, I'm coming home,
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: I'm embracing everybody. Let's throw on TV. I'm sitting on
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: the couch, I'm on my phone. What they're doing their
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: screen time, I'm doing my screen time. And now that
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: I'm picking up on Scotty doing some of these things
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: or emulating some of these things, or thinking, oh it's
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: TV time.
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: When Dada comes home.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: So it's almost like the reality check for myself of like, Okay,
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: I'm kind of manifesting the wrong things that I know
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: is not like like if Charles's here, this is not
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: how I would be operating.
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: I need to be operating in a way that I.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: Know, like, hey, we got to develop the right regimen,
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: the right thought that goes into it, like TV being
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: a privilege, or hey, you want to use your coupon
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: for this, and hey, if I say no, we gotta
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: start figuring out how to process in our own mind.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: We got so many toys and puzzles and things that
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: we can do around the house, dude, that you love
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: to do. Let's get out of the TV model. Let's
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: get out of that we have to watch TV.
- 1:01:35Speaker 3: A little Dad hacked two for and again my kid's
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: not there yet of like self awareness, wanting making decisions,
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: but something for myself because I was catching myself.
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: Doing that same thing a ton.
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: When I get Scarlet home from daycare because of traffic,
- 1:01:55Speaker 3: we're usually not home until like six ten to like
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: six thirty window and she starts eating at six thirty
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: and then it's bedtime routine.
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: Blah blah, blah.
- 1:02:05Speaker 3: So like, night's pretty much done once I pick her up,
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: and I would one hundred percent I would just put
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: her in the little playpen play with her.
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: For like ten minutes, and I'm like, oh, my back's gone.
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: Ted I was working, I'm gonna get on the couch
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: and kick my feet up on the playpen and just
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: be on my phone scrolling because she's having so much
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: fun in the playpen. And I was like, dude, I
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: got it because Jill read me some research thing where
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: they were talking about like one of the main reasons
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: that kids get so addictated screen time wise is from
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: watching their parents, which I was like.
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: Fuck, dude, yeah, man. Fuck.
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: So I was like, Okay, I need to get way
- 1:02:46Speaker 3: better at that because I am on my phone around
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: Scarlet a ton and I do now that I look,
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: I like see her looking at me, looking at the
- 1:02:54Speaker 3: phone and being like, oh, he's paying a lot of
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: attention to that.
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: I'm like, damn, I gotta work on That's one thing.
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: But the second thing, my actual hack is I just
- 1:03:03Speaker 3: take Scarlet on a walk no matter what when I
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: get home, weather permitting.
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: And it's been a blast, dude. It kind of it
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: hits that pt fit thing.
- 1:03:14Speaker 3: It also is like really fun just to like be
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: out there with her, talking with her, watching her interact
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: and pointed stuff. And just more recently, I don't take
- 1:03:24Speaker 3: the dogs anymore because I used to do the dogs
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: and Scarlet at the same time.
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: I was like, you know what, I'm gonna.
- 1:03:31Speaker 3: Make this like a little bit holier of a moment
- 1:03:34Speaker 3: of just me and Scarlet and I get to talk
- 1:03:36Speaker 3: to her, pay attention to her because I can walk
- 1:03:39Speaker 3: the dogs once she's down and Mama is back home.
- 1:03:43Speaker 3: And then I kind of doubled down on the pt fit,
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: which feels kind of nice too. So it's like I'm
- 1:03:48Speaker 3: getting all my boxes checked by separating it, and everybody's
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: getting taken care of, but I also get to like
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: prioritize those things.
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: Dude, amen, Bro, well that's good awareness too.
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: Like this was months ago, but rou hit me one
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: time when I was about to do story time for
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: bedtime and I was on my phone while she was
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: finishing something up. But she was like on the bed
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: and I was finishing something on my phone and she's like, Dad.
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: I hang out with me, and I'm like something like that, bro, God,
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: And you know it too. It's like.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: It's like selfishly, you're like wanting to do your thing,
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: or whether it's on the phone or whatever, screen time
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: or whatever, whatever stuff that we're feeding ourselves that says
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: it's like, hey, let's give them this to do so
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: that way they're distracted doing their things, so that way
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: I can be distracted and do my thing versus being
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: present the moment. Like my wife is always very good
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: about that and always talking to me about that, because
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: you do.
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: We do have to be aware of that shit, man. Yeah.
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: And then when it's coming up in all these settings
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: like the TV and everything else and seeing something on
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: Instagram or researching something, it's like one of those moments
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: of like reflection, like dude, I do fucking do that?
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: Oh dude, I am like and that's me saying like
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: I am so bad at that, dude, especially in those
- 1:04:59Speaker 3: solo Saturdays.
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: I like forced myself out of the house. I took
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: Scarlet to Old Navy broke. Getting out of the house
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: is such a game changer, such a game changer.
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: Took her to Old Navy to go shopping and she
- 1:05:12Speaker 3: ended up. I mean, she loved it, but like I
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: just need anything to like just be out and about
- 1:05:18Speaker 3: and moving and interacting with Scarlet because I can tell
- 1:05:21Speaker 3: that it tickles her brain too, of like I'm getting interaction, yeah, getting.
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: Exactly are you able to take her golfing? Dude?
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: I am, I just need to. Here's the thing about
- 1:05:33Speaker 3: golfing is there's a lot of courses. I found this
- 1:05:36Speaker 3: out through Nashbaro and shout out. I love Nashboro Here
- 1:05:41Speaker 3: in Nashville, that's kind of my home course. Public wise,
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: and for liability reasons, they don't have infants on the course,
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: and so I looked into it and a lot of
- 1:05:53Speaker 3: golf courses are that way. And so a way around
- 1:05:57Speaker 3: that is most horses like will let you walk with
- 1:06:03Speaker 3: your child, But I need to find a course that's
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: cool with having them in the cart. It's just like
- 1:06:08Speaker 3: a big liability that they don't feel safe with. But
- 1:06:11Speaker 3: I am very much wanting to get one of They
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: make walking bags with the built in baby seat. Now, yeah, dude,
- 1:06:19Speaker 3: so you can have a walking back for golf.
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: With Oh damn, oh dude.
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: I'm like, man getting up and it sounds so nice.
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: Oh you know, Sherman's gonna do it. He's what best
- 1:06:29Speaker 3: dad ever. He's gonna wake up at five forty five
- 1:06:32Speaker 3: to get everything ready and make that seven o'clock tea time,
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: and I'm gonna go walk the course with my daughter.
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: Well, I'll believe it when.
- 1:06:41Speaker 3: I see it, Like God, that sounds incredible.
- 1:06:44Speaker 4: Yeah, maybe there's some golf sickos and the comments that
- 1:06:48Speaker 4: can give some suggestions.
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: Put us on golf, Thank you, chef, put us on
- 1:06:52Speaker 3: golf game, golf, ciccos is that time of year it is.
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: Dude, it's been beautiful outside too.
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: Very quickly, and then we can go into voicemails because
- 1:07:02Speaker 3: I know we've been cutting voicemails short. Apologies for cutting
- 1:07:06Speaker 3: voicemails short over the last couple episodes. Know what, this
- 1:07:10Speaker 3: has not been in the comments. This is a self realization.
- 1:07:15Speaker 3: Deeke is picking like five voicemails every single episode. Yeah,
- 1:07:19Speaker 3: and we've only done like one or maybe two per episode,
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: time permitting, And so I just want to apologize about that.
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: Do we just want to dive into voicemails? We can
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: do that.
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: Cracker Colman was Scarlett's first picks, came in her school picks.
- 1:07:35Speaker 5: It was incredible.
- 1:07:36Speaker 3: You can throw one up right there, you can throw
- 1:07:39Speaker 3: a second one. Up right there, and let's get into
- 1:07:42Speaker 3: our how much did you guys just geek out of
- 1:07:44Speaker 3: the first school? Oh will buddy, dude? When I dropped
- 1:07:49Speaker 3: her off on that day too, and I got to
- 1:07:51Speaker 3: see the team that was doing the professionals, dude, little stuff.
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: Docs in's everywhere, just operating.
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: Cameraman's like so far away with this huge zoom len
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: so that the baby isn't looking at the person taking
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: the picture. And the handler has like eight toys and
- 1:08:10Speaker 3: she's like bouncing around and the baby's like looking at it,
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: and the jinging. I'm like, oh man, these guys are good, dude,
- 1:08:21Speaker 3: these guys are.
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: Good, and they got some Yeah. I mean, I'll show
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: you the picks, but.
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: I'll tell you again, like first school photos, it makes
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: me just like want to get a wallet in, like
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: a fat wallet against I'm getting some photos.
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: I'm getting some wallet sized one out in front of
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: some PT sixers out there in the wild. They you
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: see my daughter, Oh sure, that is unbelievable. She's she's
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: like cute or whatever type shit. Yeah. P T six
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: do I have some news for you.

- 1:12:17Speaker 3: can calculate from just being like a strap that goes

- 1:12:23Speaker 3: It's honestly really cool. The nane is really coming into

- 1:13:43Speaker 3: and I will play it now.
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: Boys, what's going on? This is Brandon from New Hampshire.
- 1:13:51Speaker 8: I got a PT six two b October, got a
- 1:13:56Speaker 8: baby boy coming.
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: I got a question that I don't know of other.
- 1:14:00Speaker 8: Other PT six dads out there are going through right now.
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: But I'm nervous to ride the shockwave, you know. I
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: guess I got a bit of a piss missile. Maybe,
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: I just I don't know if anyone else out there
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: is going through something like this.
- 1:14:16Speaker 8: Just with the boy being in there.
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: You know, my dad, it's my boy.
- 1:14:22Speaker 8: Just something about it just kind of gets me a
- 1:14:24Speaker 8: little little little nervous.
- 1:14:25Speaker 3: Riding the shop. You know, the bowl is great, but
- 1:14:29Speaker 3: but I don't know if it's just me or if
- 1:14:31Speaker 3: it's someone else out there that might be going through
- 1:14:33Speaker 3: the same thing.
- 1:14:33Speaker 8: But my wife, my wife is uh, she's on board.
- 1:14:37Speaker 5: I'm the one that's nervous. So anyways, wanted to know
- 1:14:40Speaker 5: what your thoughts were.
- 1:14:43Speaker 3: Shot shotte shockwave going a little too far. However, this
- 1:14:51Speaker 3: is how the male brain operates.
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: He's dude, that's not a bit no no, no, no,
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: no no. Yeah, like he's doing exactly. He's calling for
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: our helm because he's welling down thinking all the.
- 1:15:08Speaker 3: Wives and the women out there there just looking at
- 1:15:09Speaker 3: their significant other right now, Like you guys talk and
- 1:15:12Speaker 3: think about this stuff, and.
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: Now you need to get close up there. Branded, don't
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: even think about it. Apparently I got a bit of
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: a dismissal. Yeah, hey, Branded, you don't have that problem,
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: do you.
- 1:15:36Speaker 3: There is basically a whole other compartment that the baby
- 1:15:39Speaker 3: is in, is what I understand.
- 1:15:41Speaker 5: Yeah, there is.
- 1:15:42Speaker 3: It is kind of up and out in its own
- 1:15:45Speaker 3: little world and you're operating in the same trenches you've
- 1:15:49Speaker 3: been operating in there. Look, we've all thought about this.
- 1:15:52Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, we still got to step up to the plate.
- 1:15:57Speaker 3: He got Yeah, yeah, you still got a swing. Still
- 1:16:04Speaker 3: got a swing. Make sure you're putting a bow on it.
- 1:16:08Speaker 3: Make sure you're putting a bow on it. That's all
- 1:16:12Speaker 3: I'm gonna say. See different strokes for different poles. Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 1:16:18Speaker 3: that's hey, that's all we have. That's all we really
- 1:16:21Speaker 3: have to say about that. And that's all I gotta
- 1:16:23Speaker 3: say about that.
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: Good luck, man, Yeah, good luck and congratulations. Yeah, and
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: just knowing like, hey, wife's on board here. If you're
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: out in your own mental block, it's what you wants
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: on the other side of here.
- 1:16:36Speaker 3: Yeah, just know that your problem right now in your
- 1:16:40Speaker 3: life that you're facing is that you're well in doubt
- 1:16:42Speaker 3: and that your wife wants to have sex with you
- 1:16:44Speaker 3: while she's pregnant.
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: It could be worse. Yeah, it could be worse. That's
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: all I'm saying is it could be way worse.
- 1:16:51Speaker 3: Good problems to have, good problems problems to have. Yeah, uh,
- 1:16:55Speaker 3: this is meat or baby girl. If I'm just saying,
- 1:16:58Speaker 3: if you need something else like, well, Dan Gable, do
- 1:17:01Speaker 3: what Dan Gable do? Once you've wrestled, everything else in
- 1:17:05Speaker 3: life is easy?
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: Sorry? What what Dan say?
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: Once you've wrestled, everything else in life is easy? Here's
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: another one. No one ever drowned and sweat.
- 1:17:21Speaker 3: God if that ain't true, any any others for this situation,
- 1:17:26Speaker 3: specifically to you.
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: I don't know where this one is.
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: This was this Google ai apparently a Dan Gable quote.
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: When I could see him in the shower, I'd push
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: myself harder. Gold medals aren't really made of gold. They're
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: made of sweat, determination, and a hard to find alloy
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: called guts.
- 1:17:54Speaker 3: Yeah, you gotta have guts, dude, I got one. I'm
- 1:17:59Speaker 3: going back in my old show notes. I got a
- 1:18:01Speaker 3: good one. Success is earned in the hours and nobody sees,
- 1:18:06Speaker 3: right mm hmm yeah, I shoot, I score, he shoots,
- 1:18:09Speaker 3: he scores. Yeah wait wait wait, I score, he shoots,

- 1:19:19Speaker 1: This little being grow up?
- 1:19:21Speaker 3: Oh?
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: I gotta be responsible for this.
- 1:19:25Speaker 3: The three hour intervals of feeds, the no sleep, the
- 1:19:30Speaker 3: night shifts.
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: Being on the wall, Dude, I miss the wall sometimes.
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: Anytime where you guys are questioning yourselves, my wife would
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: always say, billions of people have done this.
- 1:19:40Speaker 3: Yes, that is That is a great reminder to keep
- 1:19:44Speaker 3: telling yourself is billions have done this.
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: Billions are doing it right now. Yeah. Welcome to the trenches.
- 1:19:52Speaker 2: Welcome to Papa Team six. Welcome to Papa Team six.
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: This is mine's right and game is tight.
- 1:20:00Speaker 8: Hey, boys, justin and Washington, Saturday morning, another wash I
- 1:20:05Speaker 8: got the trash out on Thursday night. We'll go up
- 1:20:08Speaker 8: to a little shockwave this morning, and I'm heading out
- 1:20:11Speaker 8: into the unknown for a solo Saturday with my two
- 1:20:13Speaker 8: year old girl.
- 1:20:15Speaker 2: My piss is hot.
- 1:20:16Speaker 8: Just wanted to say thank you guys for keeping our
- 1:20:19Speaker 8: minds right and our games tight.
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: Love everything you're doing here.
- 1:20:24Speaker 8: Let's have some fun today.
- 1:20:25Speaker 3: God, dude, got just get something straight really quick, please,
- 1:20:30Speaker 3: He's got a solo Saturday and he still got that
- 1:20:33Speaker 3: shockwave to storrow off the day.
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: Dude, Bro, when you get the trash taken out shockwave
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: in the am, you're pissing nothing but hot.
- 1:20:45Speaker 3: If you're pissing hot something, we got bigger problems. We
- 1:20:49Speaker 3: got bigger problems, dude. And't you know he croshed that
- 1:20:52Speaker 3: solo Saturday sun God justin from two from Washington by
- 1:20:58Speaker 3: the way, shout out?
- 1:20:59Speaker 5: Is that like?
- 1:21:01Speaker 2: What would that be?
- 1:21:01Speaker 3: Pacific Northwest? Like the state of Washington? Or are they
- 1:21:05Speaker 3: from If they're from DC, they would say d C. Correct, Yeah,
- 1:21:09Speaker 3: trust me where your head's at.
- 1:21:11Speaker 2: I've been there.
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: When I got picked up by the Washington Red Ridge,
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: part of me was like, is it the state of Washington?
- 1:21:18Speaker 2: Are we talking Washington?
- 1:21:19Speaker 4: D C.
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: And when Troe and I, like when we were talking
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: going back and forth. I remember being in the hotel
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: the night before game seeing if she's like in around
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: and I'm like, are you in DC? She's like, yeah,
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: I'm in DC. And I'm like, what side? What side
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: are you on?
- 1:21:38Speaker 2: She's like, what do you mean?
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: Like, I'm like, are you on the Virginia Are you
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: on the Virginia side or the Maryland side. I'm thinking
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: it's like Kansas City, you got the Missouri side, you
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: got the Kansas side.
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: And she educates me very quickly, like laughing at me, Like,
- 1:21:55Speaker 2: Washington d C. It's a district.
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: There is no side. It's on the Maryland side or
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: the Virginia side. Like it's a district. It's its own entity. Okay,
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: So Tech nine is just wrong, Like Casey is just
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: an entity. There's no MISSOI side, there's no Kansas.
- 1:22:08Speaker 3: City is a city, Washington Dcity is a district of Columbia.
- 1:22:15Speaker 2: It's a district. So we're out of the game.
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: Separate now, city and district. District has the fucking the
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: borders where there is no crossing. There is no one
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: on the north side. I'm on the south there is
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: no one on the Maryland side. I'm on the Virginia side.
- 1:22:29Speaker 3: It's just the District of Columbia. Incorrect in Kansas City,
- 1:22:38Speaker 3: am I Z? Yeah, you're either on the Missouri side
- 1:22:41Speaker 3: or the Kansas side.
- 1:22:42Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm with you.
- 1:22:44Speaker 3: I would if you were to text me and I
- 1:22:47Speaker 3: was in the part of DC, the District of Columbia
- 1:22:50Speaker 3: that is on the Virginia side, I'd be like, hey, will,
- 1:22:53Speaker 3: in order for you to find me better and know
- 1:22:55Speaker 3: where I'm at, I'm on the Virginia side.
- 1:23:01Speaker 2: But I don't want to mince words. Have you ever
- 1:23:03Speaker 2: heard someone say I'm in Washington, DC, Maryland? That's true? Counterpoint.
- 1:23:09Speaker 2: I'm just saying you.
- 1:23:11Speaker 5: Think you were going to Seattle.
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: I didn't think I was going to Seattle, Okay, I
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: just Washington when it was Washington Redskins, I'm like, Washington
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: got it. The state of Washington like Tennessee Titans.
- 1:23:23Speaker 7: Yeah, Tennessee looks like when Marshall Lynch got to New
- 1:23:26Speaker 7: York and he's like, I can't wait to hang out
- 1:23:28Speaker 7: with Jayson and Beyonce and then he was in Buffalo.
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: Yeah, poor guy, because at that point, again, a small
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: town Missouri boy close to city was truly sixty minutes
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: away Saint Louis. Everything in between there very I hate saying.
- 1:23:41Speaker 2: This word rural. That's a very rural. Oh I know,
- 1:23:46Speaker 2: I just know how it comes out of my mouth.
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: Rural. Very like, there's not a whole lot going on.
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: So I'm bon terror Saint Francis County my entire life.
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: My only next experience was Lincoln, Nebraska. Outside of Lincoln, Nebraska,
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: cow's corn towns of like one hundred people.
- 1:24:03Speaker 3: Well, there ain't much outside of Lincoln, Nebraska. And I mean,
- 1:24:06Speaker 3: like the center of the world is Lincoln, Nebraska.
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: Yeah, and I'm talking when it's you're doing your trips
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: are getting out, it'd be like Lake at the Ozarks.
- 1:24:16Speaker 2: Yeah. So I adn't seen a lot.
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: Yeah, So whenever I'm going Washington Redskins, I'm thinking that's
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: where the does that mean the state of Washington. Oh shit,
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: it's completely on the other side of the mats DC
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: called Washington d C. Like I knew what Washington d
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: C was, just the Washington parts, just.
- 1:24:32Speaker 2: The Washington part threw them off. I'm trying to look too.
- 1:24:37Speaker 7: Yeah, so like you could just reply back with like,
- 1:24:39Speaker 7: oh yeah, we're on the Virginia Maryland meeting like northn South.
- 1:24:42Speaker 2: That's how she didn't have to make me feel dumb.
- 1:24:45Speaker 2: She didn't have to do that. But she didn't have
- 1:24:46Speaker 2: to do that.
- 1:24:46Speaker 7: It's also a chance for her to take a lick
- 1:24:49Speaker 7: at an NFL player. She was like, I'm gonna get
- 1:24:51Speaker 7: this dumb ass.
- 1:24:53Speaker 4: But she was right.
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: She was right.
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: But like, if you're sitting here looking at it, it's
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: like there's a there's a river or something that separates
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: Maryland and Virginia. I gotta figure out what this is.
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: That I'm getting.
- 1:25:10Speaker 3: And my boy, the Potomac, the Pototomac, and the Potomac separates.
- 1:25:15Speaker 2: Ok, I'm gonna come to the Virginia and Maryland.
- 1:25:18Speaker 4: I'm in the defense of Charo here because I feel like,
- 1:25:21Speaker 4: if you're from d C, you're not even stipulating your
- 1:25:25Speaker 4: whole life Virginior or Maryland side. So someone coming in,
- 1:25:28Speaker 4: we might go, well, that would make a lot more sense.
- 1:25:29Speaker 4: But anyone that's lived there because it's his own district,
- 1:25:32Speaker 4: you're right, You're just You're just in d C.
- 1:25:34Speaker 2: I'm zooming in now.
- 1:25:35Speaker 3: On the other side of the river is Arlington, So
- 1:25:37Speaker 3: I'm like okay, yeah, oh no, so it's not split
- 1:25:41Speaker 3: by a river.
- 1:25:42Speaker 2: I'm just exposing my charge. Okay, then I apologize to Chara.
- 1:25:48Speaker 2: Oh it is.
- 1:25:49Speaker 3: Yeah, there's nothing in there that it could could I
- 1:25:54Speaker 3: still felt like at the time was a valid question.
- 1:25:59Speaker 2: I'm going over notes.
- 1:26:00Speaker 3: Do what do we get to if they get empty,
- 1:26:01Speaker 3: if they motion empty, if they line up and empty,
- 1:26:03Speaker 3: we get trips.
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: A bunch on the ball or off the ball. We
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: got a yo yo motion happening. That's what's going on
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: in my head when I'm in the hotel the night
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: before a game. Not out to say District of Columbia,
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: it's its own entity. Are you on the Virginia side?
- 1:26:16Speaker 2: Are you on the marryage? Are you in that little
- 1:26:18Speaker 2: sliver that's in Virginia the DC.
- 1:26:22Speaker 5: He sued me for.
- 1:26:23Speaker 2: Ask Yeah. I got one final wash out the car
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: seat voicemail. What's up?
- 1:26:31Speaker 6: Boys, it's Christopher Ball When I'm six in the morning,
- 1:26:36Speaker 6: just washing out my son's car seat. Threw up his
- 1:26:40Speaker 6: breakfast yesterday all over the place, eggs all over the place.
- 1:26:45Speaker 6: Can't get the smell out.
- 1:26:47Speaker 2: Need some help, boys.
- 1:26:48Speaker 6: I'm washing it down with baby whites, with baby white
- 1:26:51Speaker 6: so baking soda. Trying to do a little YouTube work here. Figure,
- 1:26:57Speaker 6: you guys are the guys to speak to man help
- 1:27:01Speaker 6: you know what I'm saying this pod for a while now,
- 1:27:05Speaker 6: just running.
- 1:27:06Speaker 2: Through the episodes and love what you guys are doing.
- 1:27:10Speaker 6: Been an unstoppable force since I've been listening to this podcast.
- 1:27:14Speaker 2: Help, Right, that's a legendary phone call. Legendary. He's needing
- 1:27:20Speaker 2: help with getting the smell out of the car. Yeah,
- 1:27:23Speaker 2: do we need to get coop in here? Is this
- 1:27:24Speaker 2: a chef? Yeah, because I'll tell you what here me.
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: It's like taking into a car wash getting it detailed.
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: I got this smell and then being a guy like
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: he knows guys can sit in there. Guys can sit
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: in there. Fucking laziness.
- 1:27:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:27:40Speaker 4: I mean, if it's carpet flouring, then you need to
- 1:27:42Speaker 4: vacuum first and then it maybe take it to detailer
- 1:27:45Speaker 4: because the best thing to do is get a steamer
- 1:27:47Speaker 4: and like a steam extraction thing, so you you soak
- 1:27:51Speaker 4: the carpet, agitate it, and then you get these little
- 1:27:54Speaker 4: like extractors that suck out all the liquid and stuff,
- 1:27:58Speaker 4: and that's how you get a lot of You can
- 1:27:59Speaker 4: rent that for.
- 1:28:00Speaker 2: Home depot or lows. You can get everything you need
- 1:28:05Speaker 2: to detail your vehicle, like yeah, in Walmart.
- 1:28:08Speaker 3: In Walmart, and a lot of if you're talking about
- 1:28:12Speaker 3: this is Chris, Chris. If you're talking about the actual
- 1:28:16Speaker 3: baby car seat too, like you're not talking about your car.
- 1:28:20Speaker 3: A lot of those pieces are detachable on the car
- 1:28:23Speaker 3: seat and are meant to be machine washed, Like you
- 1:28:27Speaker 3: can throw it in your washer at home and wash
- 1:28:30Speaker 3: it that way.
- 1:28:32Speaker 2: That's a thing. Holy shit. Yeah, squirrel finds a nut.
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: And as you're saying that, I'm remembering times where Charles
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: taking stuff out and putting it in the washer. Yeah,
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: and you're spot on. Yeah, I do see a couple
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: of steps.
- 1:28:47Speaker 2: It is a couple of steps. I only know that
- 1:28:48Speaker 2: because Jill told me, sue me. Either way, we help,
- 1:28:52Speaker 2: We help solve this guy's problem. Hopefully.
- 1:28:54Speaker 3: If it is the car itself, yeah, get detailed, dude.
- 1:28:58Speaker 3: But if it's the baby seat, and if you don't
- 1:28:59Speaker 3: want to take it to a detailer, there are ways
- 1:29:01Speaker 3: that you can get this stuff out. As the captain
- 1:29:03Speaker 3: is Seeman Team six is explaining, Chef just gotta do
- 1:29:08Speaker 3: a little bit of R and D.
- 1:29:09Speaker 5: It's time for a new car. Just throw the whole
- 1:29:11Speaker 5: car away.
- 1:29:11Speaker 3: Some guys, yeah, some guys a time for a new car,
- 1:29:14Speaker 3: find another beater out there and in that case called
- 1:29:17Speaker 3: demon in that case, right, yeah, get you right?
- 1:29:22Speaker 4: Um, I do not.
- 1:29:25Speaker 3: I just realized I don't have a oh emails, Yeah,
- 1:29:28Speaker 3: but I don't have a lesson in the week.
- 1:29:30Speaker 2: By the way, here we go here, I have an
- 1:29:34Speaker 2: email from Peyton forbe.
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: Hey boys, my friends and I have been listening to
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: the pop pretty religiously for the past six plus months
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: out here in Utah, and it's become part of our
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: weekly routine. Every new episode turns turns into a group
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: text quoting lines, laughing at the same bits and give
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: giving each other a hard time proud pt sicco's over here.
- 1:29:53Speaker 2: God, that jesues me up man.
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: I'm writing in because one of those friends, a lifelong
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: best buddy, could use some support right now. He and
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: his wife just welcome their fourth child, a baby girl
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: named Leah. She's been in the nick you since she
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: was born two weeks ago, dealing with some serious health challenges,
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: and more and more questions seem to pile up as
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: days go on. It's been heavy and emotional. Lots of
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: unknowns in a long road ahead. We wanted to ask
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: for a FTD shout out and some extra teas and
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: peace to our boy Hunter, his wife, Kenzie, and of.
- 1:30:24Speaker 2: Course baby Leah.
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: Hunter is the kind of father we all aspire to
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: be at every sports game in practice, working late nights,
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: but still showing up, always putting his family first, and
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: somehow through all of this he's leveled it up even more. Hunter,
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: we love you, man. We're in your corner and we're
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: thinking about you guys every day. Lee's got a strong
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: crew behind her. I appreciate you guys are doing with
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: this podcast and what it gives all of us dads
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: out here just trying to do her best. A few
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: loyal pet.
- 1:30:51Speaker 2: Sikhos, Honar. You got some good friends, dude, You got
- 1:30:58Speaker 2: some good people in your corner. You got a good
- 1:31:00Speaker 2: support group. And if it's any sprinkles on y'all Sunday
- 1:31:04Speaker 2: to hear it from us.
- 1:31:06Speaker 3: Hunter, you are a legend. Leah, you are a legend.
- 1:31:10Speaker 3: And Kinsey Kinsey is their wife. Ohiah, baby girls, Leah apologies.
- 1:31:18Speaker 3: Kinsey you are a superstar. You're a superhero.
- 1:31:21Speaker 2: And Payton why toes show up for your boy man?
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: Yeah, dude, because it's tough and you and Peytony you know,
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: even even if you are fired up, that we're reading
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: this and going through and Hunter Kensy and Leah giving
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: you all the love in the world as good as
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: you feel that that's happening. Like we we all like
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: you guys know, and Hunter Leah are a Hunter and
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: Kinsey like they all know. Like the support goes a
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: long way, it changes nothing and ultimately it does nothing
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: in the grand scheme of things. Knowing that you are
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: in your own situation and words are hard to find
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: to pull you out of something because all your people
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: painting and all your boys that are in group chats
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: and everything else, and even we're coming from us, we
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: can give you all the words in the world because
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: people just want to see you, guys. They want to
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: help pull you up from what feels like just being
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: in a black hole, feel like there is nowhere to
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: go or there is you know, what am I going
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: to do?
- 1:32:13Speaker 3: What was me?
- 1:32:14Speaker 2: And how are we going to handle this situation?
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: It sounds like Hunter's a cat that does show up
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: and handles the situation out it needs to be handled.
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: But knowing that your boy is in the middle of
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: a tough time right now, dude, Peyton, this is a
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: badass move by you.
- 1:32:26Speaker 2: Dick.
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: I'm glad you found this. I'm glad we're reading this.
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: And thoughts and prayers, man.
- 1:32:30Speaker 3: Yes, tons of thoughts and prayers. Shout out to everybody
- 1:32:34Speaker 3: on that niek you team. Uh, shout out to all
- 1:32:38Speaker 3: the family and support group that Hunters you know, side
- 1:32:43Speaker 3: of things have. Shout out to his friend group. That
- 1:32:47Speaker 3: just sounds like a really great place to be. I
- 1:32:49Speaker 3: know it's a hard time, but that's a that's a
- 1:32:52Speaker 3: really great place to be when you're when you're surrounded
- 1:32:54Speaker 3: by support like that. And uh, it sounds like Hunter
- 1:32:58Speaker 3: and McKenzie keep their head down and our troopers and yeah,
- 1:33:04Speaker 3: just take this second to know that you you guys
- 1:33:06Speaker 3: are superheroes. Yeah, superheroes.
- 1:33:10Speaker 2: It's invaluable having a support system for real, Yeah, dude,
- 1:33:14Speaker 2: And they're very deserving to hear any.
- 1:33:16Speaker 3: Praise, the any praise. It's it's it's one of those
- 1:33:22Speaker 3: things too. It's like when your head does come up
- 1:33:25Speaker 3: above water from this, because it will, yeh. Knowing that
- 1:33:29Speaker 3: you can look around and see people like that in
- 1:33:31Speaker 3: your corner, He's very invaluable when you're going through a
- 1:33:34Speaker 3: hard time to Peyton, thank you so much for writing man, Yeah.
- 1:33:39Speaker 2: Thank you for writing again. Noah, Hancock, hang on, this
- 1:33:46Speaker 2: is the group right here? No, it's not.
- 1:33:49Speaker 3: Hunter, Peyton, Carson and Steven. No way, show him on camera,
- 1:33:55Speaker 3: show them on camera.
- 1:33:58Speaker 7: Yeah, the names came in on the email, so I
- 1:33:59Speaker 7: hope I matched up the guys with the names.
- 1:34:02Speaker 2: But it's just this just uses me up. Man Ky,
- 1:34:05Speaker 2: look at the pick.
- 1:34:07Speaker 5: Hold it.
- 1:34:07Speaker 2: Yeah, you got a Hunter on the left, Gary V
- 1:34:11Speaker 2: next to him. He does, he does Gary Ve with
- 1:34:15Speaker 2: the stash. Yeah, shut up, Hayden.
- 1:34:18Speaker 3: Shout out Peyton, bro and they got matching hats. Dude,
- 1:34:25Speaker 3: that's a squad, dude, That truly is what it's all about.
- 1:34:28Speaker 3: I'm being so dead serious, dude. Yeah, having a group
- 1:34:32Speaker 3: of guys rather you're an st six er, a goombray,
- 1:34:36Speaker 3: a pt sixer, empty sixer, like having your group that
- 1:34:41Speaker 3: just wants the best for each other and supports each other.
- 1:34:46Speaker 2: Through thick or thin. Dude, God, dude, that gets me
- 1:34:50Speaker 2: so stoked. Shout out this, dude.
- 1:34:55Speaker 3: I'm jealous. I'll be dead as serious. I'm jealous. Y'all
- 1:35:01Speaker 3: got a good thing going. Yeah, man, you got a
- 1:35:04Speaker 3: group of boys. Yeah, like, hey, bro, this too shall
- 1:35:06Speaker 3: pass and we're going to be here with you in it.
- 1:35:08Speaker 2: Yeah. No handcock, No a handcock. He wrote us an email.
- 1:35:14Speaker 2: He said, sub boys, my name is Noah.
- 1:35:17Speaker 3: Petisico and double girl Dad for a two year old
- 1:35:20Speaker 3: and a five month old newer listener of the pod,
- 1:35:23Speaker 3: I'm ringling, Ringling's not a word will I'm ringing mostly
- 1:35:29Speaker 3: to say thank you and tell you my dad win
- 1:35:32Speaker 3: and fail. That came to a head the last several months.
- 1:35:36Speaker 3: Seven or eight months ago, I got the offer, the
- 1:35:40Speaker 3: big promotion I had been waiting for and working for
- 1:35:43Speaker 3: for the last five years nearly that would put my
- 1:35:46Speaker 3: family in a better financial situation, in open doors for
- 1:35:49Speaker 3: a long term, prosperous career. However, it would place me
- 1:35:54Speaker 3: three hours away from the new home my family just
- 1:35:57Speaker 3: purchased to support our growing family good. I struggled with
- 1:36:01Speaker 3: the decision, but my wife, being the supporting rock that
- 1:36:04Speaker 3: she is, told me to take it.
- 1:36:06Speaker 2: And that we would make things work.
- 1:36:08Speaker 3: I started living three hours away from my family and
- 1:36:10Speaker 3: my girls five days a week, home.
- 1:36:13Speaker 2: Part of the weekend, and back out to work. I
- 1:36:15Speaker 2: did this for months.
- 1:36:16Speaker 3: I finally couldn't stand being away from my girls, and
- 1:36:19Speaker 3: it became real that it was affecting my family in
- 1:36:22Speaker 3: more ways than one.
- 1:36:23Speaker 2: I made my decision.
- 1:36:24Speaker 3: I left the job and that I had been dreaming
- 1:36:28Speaker 3: of and took a retail management job just to be home.
- 1:36:32Speaker 3: I had no regrets in doing so. I thought that
- 1:36:35Speaker 3: would be the end of the feel good story for us. However,
- 1:36:39Speaker 3: coming back into full time dad life again was tougher
- 1:36:42Speaker 3: than I thought.
- 1:36:43Speaker 2: I felt like I was learning my family again.
- 1:36:46Speaker 3: I felt like a stranger in my own home, not
- 1:36:48Speaker 3: knowing how to properly take care of my family, show
- 1:36:51Speaker 3: appreciation for my wife and the sacrifices that she made,
- 1:36:56Speaker 3: and support.
- 1:36:56Speaker 2: And lead my household.
- 1:36:58Speaker 3: Me being away for so long created some sort of
- 1:37:01Speaker 3: divide in my relationship with my family.
- 1:37:05Speaker 2: That is until I started listening to the pod. Listening
- 1:37:09Speaker 2: to the show.
- 1:37:10Speaker 3: Listening to the show has taught me how to appreciate
- 1:37:13Speaker 3: the suck and how to be more intentional with my
- 1:37:16Speaker 3: kids and my wife. I take care of the trash
- 1:37:19Speaker 3: most days, in parentheses and other chores with intention, not
- 1:37:23Speaker 3: just checking it off a checklist. And I've been intentional
- 1:37:25Speaker 3: in supporting my wife and appreciating who she is as
- 1:37:28Speaker 3: a person. All this has brought joy back in our
- 1:37:31Speaker 3: relationship and the connection of our family. This pod has
- 1:37:36Speaker 3: reignited my desire to be the best father and husband
- 1:37:39Speaker 3: that I can be, and when I think I'm at
- 1:37:41Speaker 3: the cusp of my potential, I can push further. Coming
- 1:37:44Speaker 3: home was never enough like I thought it would be,
- 1:37:46Speaker 3: but taking joy in the little things and embracing the
- 1:37:49Speaker 3: suck and locking in for game time has closed that gap.
- 1:37:53Speaker 3: Thank you boys for everything you do, and all my girls,
- 1:37:55Speaker 3: thank you for bringing Dada back to superhero status. I
- 1:37:58Speaker 3: still have a ways to go, and I'm trying to
- 1:38:00Speaker 3: be better every day, but every day is a blessing.
- 1:38:03Speaker 2: PS.
- 1:38:04Speaker 3: I'm writing this at one am, trying to burp the
- 1:38:06Speaker 3: little one that won't burp good as I have voluntarily
- 1:38:10Speaker 3: been on night watch feeding since I've been home permanently,
- 1:38:14Speaker 3: and I have no regrets in that decision either. Keep
- 1:38:17Speaker 3: up the good fight for the dads out there. Ptsiko
- 1:38:20Speaker 3: out Noah Hancock.
- 1:38:23Speaker 2: That is an awesome email.
- 1:38:25Speaker 3: That's a great email. Well done, Deeck Noah shout out you.
- 1:38:30Speaker 3: It is not I appreciate him shouting us out, but
- 1:38:36Speaker 3: the wonderful thing is something that my counselor would always
- 1:38:38Speaker 3: say whenever I would go to counseling, I'd be like, dude,
- 1:38:41Speaker 3: thank you so much for all the advice and blah
- 1:38:42Speaker 3: blah blah. If my counselor would always say, it's you
- 1:38:45Speaker 3: that did it.
- 1:38:46Speaker 2: You did it, Like I'm just asking you questions.
- 1:38:49Speaker 3: Yeah, you're applying the stuff to your life. I told
- 1:38:54Speaker 3: you some steps to take, I told you.
- 1:38:56Speaker 2: Some things that are good.
- 1:38:58Speaker 3: You're the one that put it into action. Think yourself, like,
- 1:39:03Speaker 3: acknowledge that you are taking these actions. And so I
- 1:39:06Speaker 3: would say that to Noah, not as a deflection from us.
- 1:39:09Speaker 3: I appreciate him saying like, hey, I started listening to
- 1:39:13Speaker 3: the pod and da dah dah. But Noah, you made
- 1:39:16Speaker 3: the conscious decision to lock in. That was you, Noah,
- 1:39:21Speaker 3: and you have been doing these steps. You have been
- 1:39:24Speaker 3: stepping up for your kiddos. You have been locking in
- 1:39:27Speaker 3: for bed times and taking night watch and being happy
- 1:39:30Speaker 3: about it. Like, Noah Hancock is a good dad because
- 1:39:35Speaker 3: Noah Hancock decided to be a good dad and a
- 1:39:38Speaker 3: dad that he could be proud of himself.
- 1:39:40Speaker 2: So shout out Noah, shout out.
- 1:39:42Speaker 3: You, dude, dude him n bro Will said, because we
- 1:39:46Speaker 3: could say whatever on this show.
- 1:39:47Speaker 1: Yeah, You're right, Like, when I get motivated or inspired
- 1:39:51Speaker 1: by something, it's usually something I come across and then
- 1:39:53Speaker 1: like I hold it close to me and always remember
- 1:39:55Speaker 1: the people that have helped me along the way. And
- 1:39:57Speaker 1: I feel like I owe appreciation to him because they help,
- 1:40:01Speaker 1: whether they give me out of bad times or good times,
- 1:40:03Speaker 1: whatever it is, build on good times. There's a part
- 1:40:06Speaker 1: of you that's like you appreciate you came across whatever
- 1:40:08Speaker 1: it was that you needed in that moment in time.
- 1:40:11Speaker 1: And for him, it sounds like he's saying that listening
- 1:40:13Speaker 1: to us onfore the Dad has helped him lock in
- 1:40:15Speaker 1: because I can only imagine he feels like he's getting
- 1:40:17Speaker 1: defined by this moment of being away or separated and
- 1:40:19Speaker 1: he's getting reintroduced back into his family. It feels like
- 1:40:22Speaker 1: there's the opinions are on him, whether at home, outside
- 1:40:25Speaker 1: of home, whatever it is. But he just made a
- 1:40:27Speaker 1: decision to decide that this is the man I want
- 1:40:30Speaker 1: to be, this is who I want to be, this
- 1:40:31Speaker 1: is how I want to do it, And it just
- 1:40:33Speaker 1: comes down to action. It comes down to showing up.
- 1:40:35Speaker 1: How you show up every day and building on and
- 1:40:37Speaker 1: he said, like he's got.
- 1:40:38Speaker 2: Ways to go.
- 1:40:38Speaker 1: Do we all have a ways to go? We are
- 1:40:42Speaker 1: very all of us are far from perfect. There are
- 1:40:44Speaker 1: times where we've eluded and had tears and we feel
- 1:40:46Speaker 1: like we are unworthy of some of these writings that
- 1:40:50Speaker 1: we do get sometimes. Yes, and just know bro, that
- 1:40:54Speaker 1: we are all going through stuff. Man, We're all going
- 1:40:56Speaker 1: through shit. We're all failing at home, We're all doing
- 1:40:59Speaker 1: stuff to where it helps to talk through it on
- 1:41:02Speaker 1: this pod. It helps to have people in our lives,
- 1:41:05Speaker 1: like me speaking personally, having you guys in my lives,
- 1:41:08Speaker 1: having the dads and people and influences I do like
- 1:41:11Speaker 1: in my life, my group that Hunter has with Peyton
- 1:41:14Speaker 1: and his boys, yep. To just remind you who you
- 1:41:18Speaker 1: are and what you envision of yourself. Yeah, it seems
- 1:41:24Speaker 1: like that's you know, Look, if we help dude that again,
- 1:41:27Speaker 1: we appreciate it. But Bro, you're the one doing the
- 1:41:30Speaker 1: work and you're the one you're the one putting in
- 1:41:32Speaker 1: the action because at the end of the day, we
- 1:41:34Speaker 1: have no clue what you're going through at home.
- 1:41:35Speaker 2: Man.
- 1:41:36Speaker 1: Yeah, and it sounds like you took care of what
- 1:41:38Speaker 1: you needed to at home with wifey and everything else
- 1:41:40Speaker 1: getting reacclimated and now you feel like the superhero that
- 1:41:43Speaker 1: you are at home. But you did that work, bro,
- 1:41:45Speaker 1: So yes, hats off to you, man, and thank you
- 1:41:48Speaker 1: for writing in. Yes, thank you for writing in. And
- 1:41:50Speaker 1: no that is not to lessen you're like very kind
- 1:41:53Speaker 1: words to us.
- 1:41:54Speaker 3: I am so appreciative of those words, and like it
- 1:41:59Speaker 3: makes this show that much cooler that we get right
- 1:42:02Speaker 3: ins like that, but like.
- 1:42:07Speaker 2: We're we're not making Yeah, you're a superhero.
- 1:42:12Speaker 1: Good job. Yeah, man, doing a good job. Now, all right,
- 1:42:15Speaker 1: let's pop the uh. Let's get to the lesson of
- 1:42:17Speaker 1: the week. We were we had lessons of the week.
- 1:42:21Speaker 1: Derek found an incredible one. What'd you say on Discord?
- 1:42:24Speaker 7: On the Discord, We've been obviously in the new desk situation.
- 1:42:27Speaker 7: I've been dumping into the discord a ton, So I'm
- 1:42:29Speaker 7: pulling shirm over. We're putting selfies in there. It's a
- 1:42:31Speaker 7: really solid group of fifty two guys.
- 1:42:33Speaker 2: Right now, dudst. We got to show love to the discord.
- 1:42:36Speaker 2: You said, it's at.
- 1:42:36Speaker 5: Fifty two, fifty two guys in there right now.
- 1:42:38Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 1:42:40Speaker 7: This one comes in from b BAT one of four
- 1:42:44Speaker 7: one day your child will sit across from someone and
- 1:42:46Speaker 7: explain to them what it was like to be raised
- 1:42:48Speaker 7: by you make it a story worth telling.
- 1:42:53Speaker 2: I just got chills, man, God, I cry reading that.
- 1:42:56Speaker 5: It's just beautiful.
- 1:42:57Speaker 7: It's tough to like go into any situation because I
- 1:43:00Speaker 7: think now, like my mom talks about stories of me,
- 1:43:04Speaker 7: but this as a kid, and now he's this, and
- 1:43:06Speaker 7: like you think about everyone, and it's not like perspectives
- 1:43:08Speaker 7: from other people, but it's stories that you get to
- 1:43:10Speaker 7: be a part of for people, and that's all life
- 1:43:12Speaker 7: kind of is. And so I sit there and talk
- 1:43:14Speaker 7: about my dad. Little did he know his actions would
- 1:43:17Speaker 7: be stories I would tell later in life. But like
- 1:43:19Speaker 7: him throwing the baseball is super high up in the backyard,
- 1:43:21Speaker 7: so we would run around and catch it and I
- 1:43:22Speaker 7: drop it because I was.
- 1:43:23Speaker 5: Shit at baseball.
- 1:43:24Speaker 2: Stuff like that.
- 1:43:25Speaker 7: He was probably frustrated as hell. But those are the
- 1:43:27Speaker 7: best memories on the planet. Just rips Yeah.
- 1:43:31Speaker 4: Man.
- 1:43:32Speaker 1: It also just gives you perspective too of how do
- 1:43:35Speaker 1: you envision that story being told? And then it reminds
- 1:43:38Speaker 1: you of the work that you need to do right now.
- 1:43:40Speaker 2: Yeah, because it excites me. Looking at Scarlet, how old
- 1:43:48Speaker 2: she is right now.
- 1:43:49Speaker 3: Sorry, I was away from the mic and the innocence
- 1:43:54Speaker 3: and everything of like I touched on last week, and
- 1:44:00Speaker 3: just having that canvas to be able to work with
- 1:44:03Speaker 3: is like really scary but really cool, really fun.
- 1:44:07Speaker 1: It's I get that it feels really scary, but that
- 1:44:11Speaker 1: that innocence that you were experiencing now and again, not
- 1:44:14Speaker 1: trying to be the dad because we hate.
- 1:44:16Speaker 2: That, we hate, but you never are.
- 1:44:19Speaker 1: You never are, but knowing all the love that you're
- 1:44:22Speaker 1: pouring in and intention that you are pouring into them
- 1:44:24Speaker 1: now like we're being four years old, dude. The size
- 1:44:27Speaker 1: of the hugs that she gives me in just the
- 1:44:29Speaker 1: one off Random's dead, that I love you, and the
- 1:44:31Speaker 1: conversations that that we're starting to have now and the
- 1:44:36Speaker 1: kindness that she shows, Yeah, buddy, it is the greatest
- 1:44:41Speaker 1: thing in the world.
- 1:44:43Speaker 2: Scarlet, shameless plug here. Jill grabs Scarlet.
- 1:44:47Speaker 3: This morning and put her in the big bed and
- 1:44:50Speaker 3: put her in between us, and we were both leaned
- 1:44:53Speaker 3: in and.
- 1:44:53Speaker 2: We were both jokingly going.
- 1:44:58Speaker 3: Yeah, alternating kiss and after like five or six of those,
- 1:45:03Speaker 3: the biggest laugh came out of Scarlet and her passy
- 1:45:06Speaker 3: came out of her mouth and Jill and I both
- 1:45:09Speaker 3: did the exact same face of each other.
- 1:45:10Speaker 2: We both shot up and went.
- 1:45:14Speaker 3: And it's just like all those millions, millions of little
- 1:45:17Speaker 3: moments like that, dude, where like all the little opportunities
- 1:45:23Speaker 3: that you get to show your kids how much you
- 1:45:25Speaker 3: love them. And it's not always gonna be some sweet
- 1:45:28Speaker 3: little we're laying in bed and kissing each other. There's
- 1:45:30Speaker 3: gonna be the bathtime tantrums. Absolutely, there's gonna be the
- 1:45:34Speaker 3: kicks to the nuts. If I don't want dad ou
- 1:45:36Speaker 3: to tuck me in. Maybe you did order the case
- 1:45:39Speaker 3: of dia from Chili's. It's not gonna always be like that. Yeah,
- 1:45:43Speaker 3: But dude, whenever you're in those moments, dude, cherish them.
- 1:45:48Speaker 3: So badass, Dude, so bad ass. And SCARLET'SNNA. The scar
- 1:45:52Speaker 3: score is gonna love you guys so much, and that
- 1:45:56Speaker 3: makes it all worth it.
- 1:45:57Speaker 4: Man.
- 1:45:58Speaker 3: Yeah, good good, sound good, sewed ary good. Lesson of
- 1:46:03Speaker 3: the week, Great lesson of the week. Shout out b
- 1:46:05Speaker 3: be bat B what b B A T one O
