- 6:00Speaker 4: You to.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Let the hearers hear what is needed to be heard tonight.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Let us speak firmly, accurately about what it is that
- 6:10Speaker 1: we're dealing with, that we're living with, and because of you,
- 6:14Speaker 1: we're stead fast and still moving through. I asked all
- 6:18Speaker 1: of these prayers in Jesus' name. I prayer Amen, Hi, notedge.
- 6:26Speaker 3: Hi.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Then I'm well, I'm well.
- 6:31Speaker 3: Praise God.
- 6:32Speaker 2: We're here. We look we together, you know how we
- 6:34Speaker 2: do well?
- 6:37Speaker 3: Listen.
- 6:38Speaker 1: So we both have had some crazy to go on.
- 6:45Speaker 1: You with the hydrocephalus part, meet me with the spider
- 6:50Speaker 1: bit of the part, and we both got both.
- 6:54Speaker 3: But if you don't mind sharing with us, what happened.
- 7:01Speaker 1: To lead you to have to have surgery was like
- 7:06Speaker 1: two months ago?
- 7:08Speaker 2: Uh, like three months ago, like July? Okay, July, it
- 7:13Speaker 2: was three months on the eighteenth. Yeah, So what led
- 7:17Speaker 2: me to it? Well, it was really kind of strange
- 7:20Speaker 2: how it occurred, because it was nothing but God. I
- 7:24Speaker 2: had just separated from my husband and was living with
- 7:28Speaker 2: my cousin and I was fine for six months. Nothing.
- 7:33Speaker 2: I moved, she gets me into my own spot, and
- 7:36Speaker 2: it's like a month later. I started feeling sick and
- 7:40Speaker 2: I stopped growing up. But I thought it was something
- 7:42Speaker 2: I ate because I didn't have the regular shunk symptoms
- 7:45Speaker 2: that I usually have where the mind grains and the fever.
- 7:49Speaker 2: I didn't have any of that, so I thought it
- 7:50Speaker 2: was a stomach bug, but I still didn't feel good.
- 7:53Speaker 2: So when I called her, she was like, all right, well,
- 7:55Speaker 2: I'm on my way, and I said, I'll leave the
- 7:57Speaker 2: door open and she said okay. So she came in
- 8:00Speaker 2: and I was in the bathroom and she was just
- 8:01Speaker 2: like you okay, and I was like, na, I'm gonna
- 8:03Speaker 2: have to go to hospital. So she called emergency, you know.
- 8:05Speaker 2: The ambulance was like, you got to come get her. She
- 8:07Speaker 2: got a VP shunt, you know, da da da da dad,
- 8:10Speaker 2: You need to come get her now. Took me to
- 8:12Speaker 2: the hospital the eoch you know. Of course they knew
- 8:15Speaker 2: I had the VP shunt cause she let it be know.
- 8:17Speaker 2: And they did all the basic proceeds they usually do.
- 8:20Speaker 2: They do the x ray, the CT and the er
- 8:24Speaker 2: doctor comes to me and says, it looks like you
- 8:26Speaker 2: have a kink. I'm like, I know that's not a
- 8:28Speaker 2: kink because I pretty much know my body and I
- 8:30Speaker 2: know what a kick response to. So it turned out
- 8:34Speaker 2: to be that he said that, you know, it will
- 8:38Speaker 2: transfer you over to your neurosurgeon. Well, I stayed overnight
- 8:42Speaker 2: at the emergency room and then transfer me over. So
- 8:44Speaker 2: my cousin was like, no, we come and get you
- 8:46Speaker 2: going back home, and we'll go next week. So I
- 8:48Speaker 2: made an appointment next week to see my neurosurgeon. And
- 8:51Speaker 2: when I got there, he was like, what you doing there?
- 8:53Speaker 2: And I was like, uh, that's it. So he's like, okay.
- 8:56Speaker 2: So he did all he did, all the tests, the
- 8:59Speaker 2: check in my eye for the fluid, you know, just
- 9:02Speaker 2: normal test that they do looking for the shunt. So
- 9:05Speaker 2: he said, well, what happened? And I told him the
- 9:07Speaker 2: story and he said okay. So he looked back at
- 9:10Speaker 2: the x rays because the hospitals were connected, and he said,
- 9:14Speaker 2: what did the EO doctor say? He said he said,
- 9:16Speaker 2: I said. He said I had a kink and I said, damn,
- 9:19Speaker 2: he said a kink. I said yeah. He said he
- 9:21Speaker 2: don't know what this is. But I said, I know.
- 9:23Speaker 2: That's why I'm staying here with you. I know you
- 9:24Speaker 2: know what you're talking about. So he said, all right, well,
- 9:27Speaker 2: let's look at the X rays again, and he saw,
- 9:30Speaker 2: like right in the lining of my neck, the shunt
- 9:34Speaker 2: has split in half, like if you cut a straw
- 9:37Speaker 2: in half. That's how we looked in the xt ray.
- 9:40Speaker 2: So he said, most people can live with this for five,
- 9:45Speaker 2: ten more years. He said, but I've known you longer,
- 9:48Speaker 2: so we're getting this fixed now. Now, mind you, this
- 9:52Speaker 2: last shunt was in my head for over thirty years,
- 9:55Speaker 2: and it's not supposed to be in your head no
- 9:56Speaker 2: more than fifteen. Bless God right there in itself. Yeah yeah, I've.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Had mine for forty five, no revisions.
- 10:06Speaker 2: God got gotta be God.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Because I didn't get the upkeep that I needed. And girl,
- 10:20Speaker 1: the headaches are.
- 10:22Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's how I know that. That's how
- 10:27Speaker 2: I know that didn't have the average shunt issue because
- 10:30Speaker 2: I didn't have the headaches. With a headache deadly, I mean,
- 10:34Speaker 2: you don't want to look at light, you don't want
- 10:35Speaker 2: to deal with nobody, you don't want to sound. It's
- 10:38Speaker 2: that bad. So I knew something else had to be wrong.
- 10:41Speaker 2: And the only reason why I knew was something was
- 10:42Speaker 2: wrong because my blood pressure was elevated. That's the only
- 10:46Speaker 2: major maker symptoms that I knew something wasn't right. And
- 10:50Speaker 2: I knew it had to be my shun because I
- 10:52Speaker 2: never had high blood pressure. It's in my DNA, I mean,
- 10:55Speaker 2: my genetics to have it, but I've never had it,
- 10:58Speaker 2: So I knew something was off. And that's when I
- 11:01Speaker 2: knew it was the shunt. When they fixed the shunt,
- 11:03Speaker 2: my blood pressure went back down to where it need
- 11:06Speaker 2: to be. So it was a shunt. But when you
- 11:08Speaker 2: know your body, you know your body, so something nobody
- 11:11Speaker 2: can't tell you what your body's gonna do. You know
- 11:14Speaker 2: what I'm saying, You know, you know, you know.
- 11:17Speaker 1: For the last I'm gonna say four days. I had
- 11:22Speaker 1: my hair all.
- 11:23Speaker 3: Cute and up, and.
- 11:27Speaker 1: It was cute, and so I started feeling pressure and
- 11:31Speaker 1: I was like, mhm, let me.
- 11:34Speaker 3: Go ahead and take this down because it ain't working working.
- 11:38Speaker 3: I took it down. I was still feeling the pain,
- 11:43Speaker 3: like on this my head.
- 11:45Speaker 2: And so.
- 11:47Speaker 1: You know me, I'm stubborn. I don't like doctors. They
- 11:51Speaker 1: don't like me, evidently because I wound up going to
- 11:56Speaker 1: the hospital two days ago.
- 11:59Speaker 3: M hm.
- 12:01Speaker 1: They were so packed that they had me in the
- 12:04Speaker 1: hall for six hours, which is because everybody's business was
- 12:13Speaker 1: everybody's business, yeah, just no, yeah, no. Privacy hippo was
- 12:23Speaker 1: out the window because lady in front of me, older
- 12:29Speaker 1: lady being in cat right in front of me. Hey god,
- 12:34Speaker 1: I couldn't see anything because her head was, you know, blocking.
- 12:39Speaker 1: But the fact of we got doctors and nurses walking
- 12:43Speaker 1: up and down the hall, no privacy curtain.
- 12:47Speaker 3: Nothing, And so.
- 12:52Speaker 1: They took blood, told me if I was stealing a
- 12:55Speaker 1: lobby an hour after that they would take more blood.
- 12:59Speaker 1: They did that, and then they wound up taking me
- 13:04Speaker 1: to the hallway and they did a ur analysis and
- 13:12Speaker 1: I had already told them I knew that it was
- 13:15Speaker 1: a U t I, because.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm gonna get a U T I if I
- 13:22Speaker 3: don't get nothing else.
- 13:24Speaker 1: And so, yeah, I'm in pain, hurting and begging for
- 13:32Speaker 1: something to relieve my pain.
- 13:35Speaker 3: And they gave me a shot and it didn't do.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Anything, and so they wound up giving me some medicine.
- 13:48Speaker 1: And so when my son came to pick me up,
- 13:54Speaker 1: I was a hot, sweaty miss. I had called you,
- 13:57Speaker 1: but I was hot.
- 13:59Speaker 3: I mean menopause. I am in that that stage of
- 14:06Speaker 3: life has not hit me first, in my opinion.
- 14:15Speaker 2: Yeah, And so basically.
- 14:19Speaker 3: What I wanted to talk about was just.
- 14:24Speaker 1: I know I'm a little more open than you are
- 14:27Speaker 1: with the whole spina bild of thing.
- 14:29Speaker 3: So you know, I'm.
- 14:31Speaker 2: I'm getting there with me.
- 14:35Speaker 1: But it's just I want people to understand, you know,
- 14:39Speaker 1: we're no different from everybody else, have to go about
- 14:44Speaker 1: things in a different manner. But you know, we we
- 14:49Speaker 1: wake up, we go to sleep, just like anybody.
- 14:51Speaker 2: Else, and you know, exactly exactly put.
- 14:55Speaker 3: In front of the other, just like everybody else.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Find a b It is known as the snowflake disorder
- 15:02Speaker 1: because no two people have it the same exactly we
- 15:07Speaker 1: have the same exactly.
- 15:10Speaker 3: One. I'm not gonna bother trying to pronounce it. Mm
- 15:15Speaker 3: hmmm do that.
- 15:17Speaker 2: And I wouldn't. I would have, but I'm not either.
- 15:21Speaker 3: People like that.
- 15:22Speaker 1: But when the thing comes in is you're in a wheelchair,
- 15:28Speaker 1: and I'm considered able by it.
- 15:31Speaker 2: Mm hmmm.
- 15:34Speaker 3: So I know, you know, life looks a little different
- 15:36Speaker 3: for you than it does for me.
- 15:40Speaker 1: But then sometimes everything is like all the same because
- 15:44Speaker 1: you know, I'm on the po when you go to
- 15:47Speaker 1: the mailbox and to the trash can, and you when
- 15:52Speaker 1: I go to the mailbox and trash and yeah, I.
- 15:57Speaker 3: Pass out, But I'm grateful. I'm learning to.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Accept things for what they are. However, however, I do stink.
- 16:11Speaker 1: I do have mustard see faith. I do believe that
- 16:15Speaker 1: God can heal me from spina biff and still use
- 16:20Speaker 1: me to speak on what I've gone through. So you know,
- 16:27Speaker 1: a lot of people think that you're healing has to
- 16:30Speaker 1: happen in heaven. If he could make a blind man see,
- 16:34Speaker 1: surely he can make definitely have to go through the
- 16:39Speaker 1: stuff that I go through.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Definitely definitely.
- 16:43Speaker 3: So I mean, I guess it's just how you work
- 16:46Speaker 3: your faith.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Yeah, and you know what you believe in, who you believe,
- 16:54Speaker 1: and you know not you know, your God may not
- 16:58Speaker 1: be my guide, but.
- 17:00Speaker 2: But I got it the same dot.
- 17:04Speaker 3: Just as long as you believe in him because he
- 17:06Speaker 3: believes in you.
- 17:07Speaker 2: Yeah, ye, that.
- 17:11Speaker 3: A change can come about.
- 17:14Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 17:16Speaker 1: It was so much more that I wanted to say,
- 17:20Speaker 1: let's talk about these little stinking cathators.
- 17:23Speaker 3: So I was gonna bring one it. I was gonna have.
- 17:31Speaker 2: This is my show and tail now.
- 17:35Speaker 3: The people like that.
- 17:36Speaker 1: But there are different kind of catheters that and women
- 17:44Speaker 1: have to use in order to empty our bladders. The
- 17:51Speaker 1: ones that I carry around looked like little tampas, so
- 17:55Speaker 1: nobody knows that I have them unless I'm just like, hey,
- 17:59Speaker 1: look what I have. But you know, I don't do that.
- 18:03Speaker 1: But there are some people.
- 18:05Speaker 3: That have, like the bag that they give you, like
- 18:09Speaker 3: in the hospital or whatever.
- 18:11Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you know, there's so many different ways that
- 18:17Speaker 1: it can be done.
- 18:18Speaker 3: And exactly my heart goes out to the men that
- 18:22Speaker 3: have to deal with.
- 18:22Speaker 2: It, because God bless them, blest thing. It ain't fine
- 18:28Speaker 2: for us. Mm hmmm mm hmmm.
- 18:34Speaker 3: It's so much they could be said about spin. Yeah,
- 18:39Speaker 3: and I am like sick as a dog. And you
- 18:42Speaker 3: probably can see it all in my face, which.
- 18:45Speaker 2: You look fine, you look you're pushing through. God is
- 18:48Speaker 2: usually regardless, pushing regardless.
- 18:51Speaker 3: Yeah, chest still hurts.
- 18:56Speaker 1: The Lovely Lord hospital sent me home with one hundred
- 18:59Speaker 1: and three degree temperature.
- 19:02Speaker 2: That's ridiculous.
- 19:04Speaker 3: I've been but God, I've been happy.
- 19:08Speaker 2: Yeah, wat.
- 19:11Speaker 3: All because fiction like and the same about it for
- 19:18Speaker 3: me is no matter how much.
- 19:20Speaker 1: Water I drink, I can drink it, drink the well dry.
- 19:27Speaker 2: It's gonna get one. Yeah. Yeah, we just prone to it.
- 19:30Speaker 2: We just prone to it regardless. It's like we can
- 19:32Speaker 2: do just about everything possible. I mean, all I do
- 19:35Speaker 2: is mostly cranberry juice and water, you know, so we
- 19:39Speaker 2: can do everything possibly and it still will be like
- 19:42Speaker 2: not you have a UCS, Like seriously, what do I
- 19:45Speaker 2: need to do? So Yeah, it's one of those things
- 19:49Speaker 2: that we can't really fight it, but we just got
- 19:52Speaker 2: to push through it. It is what it is.
- 19:55Speaker 1: I feel like spin has stolen a lot from me,
- 20:02Speaker 1: one being my ability to feel when I have to
- 20:06Speaker 1: go to the restroom.
- 20:08Speaker 2: And.
- 20:12Speaker 1: The calcium D and well, the calcium deficiency and the
- 20:17Speaker 1: vitamin D deficiency which caused me to lose my teeth.
- 20:21Speaker 1: It's it's just so much related to it that it's
- 20:31Speaker 1: easy for a person to fall into a space.
- 20:36Speaker 3: Of why me, Oh yeah, and you know you know that.
- 20:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:46Speaker 1: Sometimes, but I don't know why me?
- 20:50Speaker 2: Sometimes you may not know it all the time, but
- 20:53Speaker 2: I don't know why. I mean as well, it's.
- 20:58Speaker 3: Something that we go through.
- 21:00Speaker 1: I do understand you gotta go through and to get
- 21:03Speaker 1: through it.
- 21:03Speaker 3: So you know, I'm still standing as.
- 21:09Speaker 2: God is using that. God is using this to show
- 21:12Speaker 2: people that you and all. I mean. I'm not saying
- 21:15Speaker 2: that we need people to feel bad about us, we
- 21:17Speaker 2: need people to feel down, because tru I believe my
- 21:19Speaker 2: life is still good. I'm still happy most most times.
- 21:23Speaker 2: But it also shows you that you need to be
- 21:27Speaker 2: thankful because it could have been the other way. Not
- 21:30Speaker 2: saying that, you know what I'm saying, This is a
- 21:32Speaker 2: punishment or anything to that those times. But we would
- 21:35Speaker 2: give anything. Most of us would give anything to work,
- 21:39Speaker 2: to be able, to be able body, to be able
- 21:41Speaker 2: to run jump, you know what I'm saying. We would
- 21:43Speaker 2: give anything to do that. But God didn't see that
- 21:46Speaker 2: for us. And the thing about it is that most
- 21:49Speaker 2: people don't realize this. God don't see us like this.
- 21:52Speaker 2: Man sees us this way. God sees us completely, whole,
- 21:56Speaker 2: completely made completely his children. We are his daughter.
- 22:01Speaker 3: I didn't learn that until I became an adult.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Yeah, me too.
- 22:07Speaker 3: Going to school getting picked on.
- 22:11Speaker 1: Yeah, and I could not see what it was that
- 22:15Speaker 1: they I mean, they were all like mock the way
- 22:17Speaker 1: that I walked and stuff, and.
- 22:18Speaker 3: I'm like, I don't.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I walked like that. So h Yeah.
- 22:25Speaker 1: But my son's aunt got married and she asked me
- 22:31Speaker 1: to be a bridesmaid.
- 22:34Speaker 3: Mm hmm.
- 22:36Speaker 1: After they got back from their honeymoon, we watched the
- 22:40Speaker 1: wedding on the WHO And that's the first time I
- 22:45Speaker 1: ever noticed wow. Wow to be in a room full.
- 22:51Speaker 3: Of adults and have one person say why he was
- 22:57Speaker 3: walking like that? He was walking like.
- 22:58Speaker 2: He was tired, my lord, my lord, look like.
- 23:08Speaker 3: Get offensive, I do, And I'm you know, God is
- 23:11Speaker 3: working on me, but.
- 23:12Speaker 1: I I don't understand for the life of me why
- 23:18Speaker 1: people choose to tear other people down, as if they
- 23:24Speaker 1: don't already deal with enough.
- 23:28Speaker 2: Some people are just ignorant, know no better.
- 23:33Speaker 3: I quit school.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Because I was getting picked on, I was being bullied,
- 23:47Speaker 1: and I just told my mama, I'm not going back.
- 23:50Speaker 3: Do what you want to.
- 23:52Speaker 1: I mean putting me out, send me wherever I'm not
- 23:56Speaker 1: going back because I know that that is going to
- 23:59Speaker 1: be back.
- 24:00Speaker 2: So yeah, you know that.
- 24:05Speaker 3: And so you know what I had when he started school.
- 24:12Speaker 1: My mind frame was because I know I wasn't the
- 24:15Speaker 1: only teenage parent. So I'm like, these people they picked
- 24:19Speaker 1: on me got kids, and if they bother you at school,
- 24:24Speaker 1: I need.
- 24:24Speaker 3: You to say something to your teacher so that they
- 24:28Speaker 3: can say something to me.
- 24:30Speaker 1: And I made it clear, Look, you coming to school to.
- 24:35Speaker 3: Learn, make here and there, and come on. I don't
- 24:41Speaker 3: need nobody calling me telling me you did X, Y
- 24:44Speaker 3: and Z and none of that stuff.
- 24:48Speaker 1: Being a teenage mom was hard because, for one doctor
- 24:52Speaker 1: said I would never have kids because.
- 24:54Speaker 4: Of his friend.
- 24:56Speaker 1: Yeah, imagine my shot When my mom was like you,
- 25:00Speaker 1: I think you're pregnant.
- 25:02Speaker 3: I was like, I think that job is overworking you lady.
- 25:06Speaker 3: And so.
- 25:08Speaker 1: I found that out, and she came home from work
- 25:10Speaker 1: the next morning with a pregnancy test and I was like,
- 25:14Speaker 1: you pregnant and she was like, no, but I think
- 25:16Speaker 1: you are.
- 25:17Speaker 3: And I was like.
- 25:20Speaker 1: And the lines came up, and immediately I started laughing
- 25:26Speaker 1: because I felt like it was a prank.
- 25:27Speaker 3: I thought it was one of those little.
- 25:29Speaker 1: Faith fess or whatever, because you got to know my
- 25:35Speaker 1: mama to understand why I think the way that I do.
- 25:42Speaker 3: So you know, I.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Really did not believe that I was pregnant up until.
- 25:50Speaker 3: Maybe thirty eight weeks because I didn't gain weight. Oh wow,
- 25:56Speaker 3: I didn't gain weight and.
- 26:00Speaker 1: The feeling of him moving felt like what it feels
- 26:05Speaker 1: like when you're hungry.
- 26:06Speaker 2: So wow, okay, yeah, I didn't.
- 26:12Speaker 1: Well, let me take that back. I did gain weight,
- 26:16Speaker 1: but it wasn't in my stomach. I went from one
- 26:19Speaker 1: hundred and forty pounds to two oh five at.
- 26:23Speaker 3: The end of my pregnancy.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Wow.
- 26:26Speaker 1: Yeah, and his little self came out at six pounds.
- 26:33Speaker 1: But I say all of that to say, you know,
- 26:37Speaker 1: doctors only can tell people what they're taught.
- 26:43Speaker 2: Yeah, untimely.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Ultimately, at the end of the day, it is God
- 26:48Speaker 1: who wakes us up. Is God tells us.
- 26:53Speaker 3: What today is going to be.
- 26:55Speaker 1: And that's just what it is. I meant, just get
- 27:00Speaker 1: it wrong all the time. I was supposed to be
- 27:02Speaker 1: out of here by nine years old. I'm about to
- 27:05Speaker 1: be forty six in January. Yeah, you know, so I
- 27:14Speaker 1: I'm blessed. Oftentimes I do sit in the y me
- 27:20Speaker 1: why do I have to go through what I go through?
- 27:23Speaker 1: And you know, just having to because some of the
- 27:27Speaker 1: stuff that you know, as a person living with finda
- 27:29Speaker 1: different and how your self was.
- 27:32Speaker 2: It ain't normal.
- 27:33Speaker 3: I mean, no matter how you spend it, it's not normal.
- 27:37Speaker 3: It's our normal, but it's not.
- 27:39Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not normal normal.
- 27:42Speaker 1: Right, and you know, from one day to the next,
- 27:48Speaker 1: you don't know what's gonna happen.
- 27:49Speaker 3: So you see, just waiting for the shoot ball, like.
- 27:54Speaker 2: Left that part that part. Yeah, yeah, definitely, I'm.
- 28:00Speaker 3: Shoot if I get this little surgery done with this inner.
- 28:02Speaker 2: Stem, yeah, blessed Lord.
- 28:06Speaker 1: Yeah, that would be like a game changer for me
- 28:14Speaker 1: because I know that it's been a game changer for
- 28:17Speaker 1: a lot of other people.
- 28:18Speaker 2: So yeah, you know, I'm just yeah, my slink procedure
- 28:25Speaker 2: was a game changer for me because be your whole
- 28:28Speaker 2: life leaking m and then for the doctor to say,
- 28:33Speaker 2: oh no, we can fix that, well, please fix it.
- 28:37Speaker 2: But this was as I was maybe in my early thirties,
- 28:42Speaker 2: so you're talking about thirty plus years of dealing with
- 28:45Speaker 2: that type of thing. So I get it. It's like,
- 28:48Speaker 2: please fix it. Yeah, and it's definitely different for me.
- 28:51Speaker 2: I am thankful for that. Yeah, So I listen, I
- 28:55Speaker 2: know what you're talking about, and I'm praying that that
- 28:58Speaker 2: I can, you know, have that done for you. So
- 29:00Speaker 2: it is a game change. It changes your whole attitude,
- 29:04Speaker 2: your whole perspective. You know, everything is not gonna be perfect. No,
- 29:07Speaker 2: it's not gonna perfect here, but it changes the way
- 29:10Speaker 2: you you move and you think of yourself in the
- 29:14Speaker 2: way you might look at yourself, you know. So yeah,
- 29:17Speaker 2: it's a lot.
- 29:18Speaker 1: I mean it has definitely played on my my psyche
- 29:22Speaker 1: for a while.
- 29:24Speaker 3: Mm hmm, feeling worthy.
- 29:28Speaker 2: Get that.
- 29:29Speaker 3: I've had people to tell me you know you won't have.
- 29:35Speaker 1: Because and yeah, you know, once you hear those things,
- 29:41Speaker 1: you start telling yourself those things.
- 29:43Speaker 2: And most definitely start.
- 29:45Speaker 3: To manifest and mm hmm. Then you right there where
- 29:50Speaker 3: they said you would be.
- 29:51Speaker 1: But yeah, and that's something that I'm I'm I'm dealing with,
- 29:57Speaker 1: trying to work through, pray through, right through is these abandonments. Yeah,
- 30:08Speaker 1: I feel like if I didn't have final diffidence, I
- 30:11Speaker 1: wouldn't have had to been put up or adoption.
- 30:14Speaker 2: And I think that too, And.
- 30:16Speaker 1: I feel like I could have grown up with at
- 30:21Speaker 1: least two of my siblings. My daddy a little delulu,
- 30:25Speaker 1: So we're not gonna We're gonna pray for him. But girl,
- 30:33Speaker 1: I mean, you know, the fact of the matter is,
- 30:39Speaker 1: you know, knowing that my mom was a teenager with
- 30:43Speaker 1: her own disability when she had and having me with
- 30:49Speaker 1: the partner that she chose, and he didn't want to help.
- 30:53Speaker 3: So you know, I've.
- 30:55Speaker 1: Had this man tell me to my face, I gave
- 30:58Speaker 1: you a mama money for the boys.
- 31:01Speaker 3: Well, sir, I am here, here, here.
- 31:03Speaker 2: I am in the hello exactly.
- 31:07Speaker 3: I'm sorry she spent your money doing something else. Not
- 31:11Speaker 3: my fault.
- 31:13Speaker 2: But but then if you didn't have this and we
- 31:16Speaker 2: didn't have this, then we probably wouldn't know each other. Now,
- 31:21Speaker 2: I don't think I don't know exactly how God does that.
- 31:27Speaker 1: It is like that though, because I I like talking
- 31:32Speaker 1: to people, I'll say that I can't be a little
- 31:37Speaker 1: standoffish around people that I don't know.
- 31:42Speaker 2: Yeah, and being that.
- 31:43Speaker 3: We've never seen each other in the flesh and have
- 31:47Speaker 3: been friends for seven years, it's just.
- 31:51Speaker 2: Felt like we're practiced twins.
- 31:55Speaker 3: But you know, it's just.
- 32:00Speaker 1: It's one of those things where it gets harder before
- 32:06Speaker 1: it gets easier.
- 32:07Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I saw I saw.
- 32:11Speaker 1: A post on Facebook the other day where a young
- 32:16Speaker 1: lady was talking about her cycle and talking about wearing.
- 32:24Speaker 3: The adult pull ups or what have you.
- 32:29Speaker 1: And because I know the young lady, I was like,
- 32:31Speaker 1: listen here, listen, y'all got too many options to do
- 32:37Speaker 1: then to come over here stepping in lane, trying to
- 32:43Speaker 1: get stuff shipped to the house, trying to get us
- 32:47Speaker 1: and y'all out here bout them and don't need them
- 32:49Speaker 1: just because of your cycle.
- 32:51Speaker 3: That is the.
- 32:53Speaker 2: That's not what that's for.
- 32:55Speaker 3: So you know, I mean, I used to be ashamed
- 33:01Speaker 3: of what I deal with, but.
- 33:06Speaker 1: I no longer walk in shame because I'm here with
- 33:12Speaker 1: the purpose for a purpose, on purpose. So you know
- 33:18Speaker 1: what that looks like, because I don't know what it
- 33:20Speaker 1: looks like right now, I'm.
- 33:23Speaker 3: Just happy to be able to wake.
- 33:27Speaker 1: Up from one day to the necks and put one
- 33:30Speaker 1: foot in front of the other and no matter how
- 33:33Speaker 1: bad it feels like my head right now feels like somebody.
- 33:37Speaker 3: Has a drill and just and it's my life.
- 33:45Speaker 1: Like there is not a drug created yet that can
- 33:52Speaker 1: take away the pain that I feel in my head,
- 33:55Speaker 1: and if there is, they haven't good it on the
- 33:58Speaker 1: market yet.
- 33:59Speaker 3: So yeah, but I feel like I've been talking a lot.
- 34:07Speaker 3: They're like, I did at you, but.
- 34:13Speaker 2: What are you trying.
- 34:19Speaker 3: Out of?
- 34:19Speaker 2: Rubbed off? That's all good, though, that's all good.
- 34:28Speaker 3: I'm grateful. I'm grateful of how we connected.
- 34:34Speaker 1: And you know, even like watching Trevida's show last night
- 34:37Speaker 1: seeing her link up with somebody that has gone.
- 34:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I was like, that's my best friend.
- 34:49Speaker 3: I'm about to lose my but.
- 34:52Speaker 1: To have somebody that can relate, there's a whole lot
- 34:57Speaker 1: about you know, you can talk to people more that
- 35:00Speaker 1: can relate to what you got going on.
- 35:02Speaker 2: First, Yeah, it doesn't exactly.
- 35:06Speaker 1: I can talk to her about spina beffata all day long,
- 35:08Speaker 1: as long as the day is blue, and she will
- 35:12Speaker 1: never understand what I did with and the same thing
- 35:15Speaker 1: with the Kiari malformation, and there's.
- 35:19Speaker 3: A very small.
- 35:23Speaker 1: Thing where it has something to do with spina. Bit
- 35:26Speaker 1: for the hydrophilis too, you know, just knowing she goes
- 35:32Speaker 1: through that and I don't know anything, no more than
- 35:37Speaker 1: you know what she shared with me or whatever.
- 35:39Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, I just I'm here. I'm here. Oh,
- 35:47Speaker 3: but I want to congratulate you, ma'am on panning your
- 35:52Speaker 3: first book.
- 35:55Speaker 2: That's nothing but right there, that a little push God
- 36:01Speaker 2: and you pushing. You're catching me at the right moment,
- 36:06Speaker 2: is what that was A guy that I got something
- 36:09Speaker 2: fu in. Oh, you're gonna come back on vacation feeling great.
- 36:13Speaker 2: Anya says, Oh, you want to do you want to
- 36:16Speaker 2: do this work with me? Cooked together.
- 36:21Speaker 1: I had talked to and the other young lady about
- 36:25Speaker 1: the book, and I said, but I need nadget to
- 36:29Speaker 1: do a book.
- 36:29Speaker 3: I said, do we got one? Okay, giddy, listen, I
- 36:35Speaker 3: need you.
- 36:39Speaker 2: But but thank you.
- 36:43Speaker 1: I believe that somebody's healing is connected to your story
- 36:47Speaker 1: mine as well. Yes, ma'am, I joke a lot, but
- 36:52Speaker 1: I do firmly believe that we all are here for
- 36:57Speaker 1: a purpose.
- 36:59Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, so I want some days you wonder, okay, Father,
- 37:05Speaker 2: well we're doing here today, what's happening? We were don't
- 37:11Speaker 2: But yeah, definitely I agree. It's a purpose and a
- 37:15Speaker 2: surroundment and reason for it all.
- 37:18Speaker 3: And we may never know what it is.
- 37:19Speaker 2: But mm hmmm. But the way I say this, Lord
- 37:23Speaker 2: use me. That's the baby, that's my nephew. There will
- 37:29Speaker 2: always be my baby, Yes it will.
- 37:33Speaker 3: So what do you have in store moving forward?
- 37:38Speaker 1: We know that you got this and coming out in
- 37:44Speaker 1: the next couple of weeks or so.
- 37:46Speaker 2: In the next couple of weeks or so, and then
- 37:48Speaker 2: I'm doing another one with you as well. Now, Father,
- 37:52Speaker 2: I don't know what he's doing with me, because this
- 37:55Speaker 2: is all like in the making. I have been talking
- 37:58Speaker 2: about doing some type of writing for for years and
- 38:00Speaker 2: then I'm like, no, I can't do this, and then
- 38:03Speaker 2: of course being married and you know, doing what I
- 38:05Speaker 2: needed to do as a wife at the time. So
- 38:09Speaker 2: it's like God pulled me away and said, Okay, this
- 38:12Speaker 2: is your time. Now, let's get to writing. Let's get
- 38:15Speaker 2: to doing it. Yeah okay, So and I'm honored. I'm honored,
- 38:20Speaker 2: and I'm excited because I actually get to see my
- 38:24Speaker 2: name on something and I don't have children, so I
- 38:27Speaker 2: actually get to leave a legacy somewhere and I'm just
- 38:30Speaker 2: like in awe of what God is doing and that
- 38:33Speaker 2: I am so excited, so excited, and I can do
- 38:36Speaker 2: it with my besty.
- 38:44Speaker 1: Do you see yourself continuing to write even after the
- 38:47Speaker 1: anthologies are done?
- 38:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm actually wanted to finish the book that's coming
- 38:54Speaker 2: out in a couple of weeks. I'm actually going to
- 38:56Speaker 2: continue my story. I want to continue my story. Looking
- 39:00Speaker 2: to do that hopefully soon. I mean, I'm planning on
- 39:03Speaker 2: working on that as we speak, so to speak. But yeah,
- 39:06Speaker 2: I want to. I want to do it while I
- 39:08Speaker 2: feel like doing it, and I know that if I don't,
- 39:11Speaker 2: I won't and that's just that's just me. Now, I'll
- 39:15Speaker 2: do it for others because I'm gonna push myself for others.
- 39:18Speaker 2: But if I'm pushing for myself, it's kind of hard
- 39:21Speaker 2: because I think, oh well, I do it all the time,
- 39:23Speaker 2: Oh well, because it's just me. But I really feel
- 39:26Speaker 2: like God is telling me it's time. It's time, so
- 39:29Speaker 2: I will be doing that.
- 39:31Speaker 3: The procrastination spirit hit me hard, like.
- 39:36Speaker 2: I'm trying not to let that hit me.
- 39:38Speaker 1: With my first heard of right, it right after my
- 39:42Speaker 1: biological mother past in twenty fourteen.
- 39:45Speaker 3: I didn't get it published to twenty eighteen, just because.
- 39:50Speaker 2: I don't I don't want to ready, Yeah, I don't
- 39:56Speaker 2: want to be that. I'm trying not to do that anyway.
- 39:58Speaker 2: I'm trying. I don't. I'm not gonna say I'm gonna
- 40:01Speaker 2: be perfect at it, but yeah, hopefully it'll be sometime
- 40:04Speaker 2: next year if nothing else.
- 40:06Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, yeah, well, ma'am, I would like to thank
- 40:12Speaker 1: you for spending this World Spin Off Day with me,
- 40:18Speaker 1: as we do.
- 40:18Speaker 2: It every year.
- 40:22Speaker 3: I would like to see.
- 40:27Speaker 1: South Carolina do one of the walks or what have
- 40:31Speaker 1: you that, like to go to another state that does
- 40:38Speaker 1: have the because the month of October has so much
- 40:46Speaker 1: weight on it with with wrist cancer awareness and domestic
- 40:52Speaker 1: awareness and you know a lot of people don't know,
- 40:56Speaker 1: you know about spina bifida and yeah hydro, I mean
- 41:03Speaker 1: is in September, but somehow it became a part of
- 41:07Speaker 1: today as well.
- 41:09Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, but.
- 41:13Speaker 3: Listen, I'm just grateful. Yeah you tell me, it always
- 41:18Speaker 3: have been worse.
- 41:21Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, dealing with this headache, like I feel
- 41:26Speaker 1: cross eyed, that's how bad.
- 41:28Speaker 3: My head right, now and.
- 41:32Speaker 2: Well, ma'am, you need to go rest.
- 41:33Speaker 3: And ma'am, that's all I've been doing.
- 41:37Speaker 1: I've turned into listen. I don't lay down so much.
- 41:41Speaker 1: I became a lay down like.
- 41:45Speaker 2: Your body is fighting, man, your body is fighting for
- 41:48Speaker 2: you have to let it rust. But you had so what.
- 41:52Speaker 3: It is fighting at this point. It's not.
- 42:01Speaker 2: But I hope you feel better. I hope you feel
- 42:03Speaker 2: better because I know this is not fun. It's not
- 42:05Speaker 2: fun at all. It's not.
- 42:08Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like over time when you get another one,
- 42:12Speaker 1: that's always worse than the one before.
- 42:15Speaker 2: Yeah that way, Yeah, one a month ago, a month ago. Yeah, yeah,
- 42:24Speaker 2: like I never left. Yeah, that's the life of the
- 42:31Speaker 2: for the.
- 42:32Speaker 3: The crazy thing is I went to my urologists and
- 42:35Speaker 3: they did in your analysis. It's good. That was last week.
- 42:45Speaker 2: I go to mine in a couple of weeks. So yeah,
- 42:50Speaker 2: mm hmm. Yeah.
- 42:53Speaker 1: You know, at this point, you know, it's it's just whatever.
- 42:58Speaker 1: As long as I don't give up the stone. That's
- 43:00Speaker 1: the only thing that keeps me going is the fact
- 43:02Speaker 1: that you you.
- 43:03Speaker 2: Were not gonna give up. I'm not gonna let that happen.
- 43:05Speaker 2: I won't fight you myself. Oh gay mat me come
- 43:08Speaker 2: to South Carolina. Don't make me do it.
- 43:11Speaker 3: You're gonna you're gonna have to look it for the book,
- 43:13Speaker 3: because man, it's hard.
- 43:17Speaker 2: It's yeah, I know it's enough.
- 43:21Speaker 3: I would like.
- 43:23Speaker 1: To light my skin and started getting hot. I would
- 43:26Speaker 1: like to thank you for coming and listen listening to
- 43:33Speaker 1: me blab about what we deal with.
- 43:38Speaker 2: You know, it was easier this time. It was easyer.
- 43:42Speaker 2: I didn't have to say much. Thank you hard.
- 43:47Speaker 1: He he knew you needed a risk because.
- 43:54Speaker 2: Everybody don't even know all that, they don't even.
- 43:59Speaker 3: Know what we do. But I.
- 44:02Speaker 1: But again, I would like to thank everybody for tuning
- 44:05Speaker 1: in to delay but not deny the podcast tonight. I
- 44:09Speaker 1: hope something that was said tonight is something that you
- 44:13Speaker 1: were able to receive, even if not for yourself, for
- 44:18Speaker 1: somebody you love. No matter where you are in life,
- 44:26Speaker 1: you may be delayed, but what's meant for you will
- 44:29Speaker 1: always find you, so you're never denied. So holding on
- 44:33Speaker 1: to that and holding on to your belief is what's
- 44:37Speaker 1: going to get you through And until next month, I'm
- 44:41Speaker 1: out of here. Thank y'all for coming out.
- 44:44Speaker 3: God bless you.
- 44:44Speaker 4: Good night, passssssssssssss
