- 0:05Speaker 1: Launch control this is houston we are going to launch
- 0:09Speaker 1: five four three two one it's chris.
- 0:15Speaker 2: X radio chris x radio.
- 0:20Speaker 3: What we need right now is a clear message to
- 0:23Speaker 3: the people of this country. This message must be read
- 0:26Speaker 3: in every newspaper, heard on every radio, seen on every television.
- 0:30Speaker 3: This message must resound throughout the entire intelligence.
- 0:34Speaker 4: And now, your host.
- 0:35Speaker 5: I believe this is going to be our finest hour.
- 0:37Speaker 4: Chris X.
- 0:55Speaker 2: We're feeling a little less fall out here today. It
- 0:58Speaker 2: was like 84 degrees, 85 degrees, 83 degrees, whatever. It's
- 1:04Speaker 2: not quite as cool as it's been, but I do
- 1:07Speaker 2: believe that's coming next week. good afternoon and welcome to
- 1:12Speaker 2: chris x radio i am the aforementioned x-man we have
- 1:16Speaker 2: assumed control of the airwaves we intend to maintain control
- 1:21Speaker 2: of these airwaves for the next two hours as we
- 1:24Speaker 2: control the broadcast um cash is flying the mothership got
- 1:29Speaker 2: captain jack hanging around i don't know what that guy's
- 1:31Speaker 2: doing He's probably, well, we'll just leave it right there.
- 1:36Speaker 2: But nonetheless, Captain Jack is, well, he's the co-pilot today.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Cash is the pilot. Now, Cash, are you going to
- 1:43Speaker 2: be flying your own ship when you go to live
- 1:46Speaker 2: on the moon next week, or are you going to
- 1:48Speaker 2: just hitch a ride? How does that work?
- 1:50Speaker 6: Oh, no, no, no.
- 1:50Speaker 7: I've only got my terrestrial radio license.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Oh, okay. You don't get one of those space licenses, huh?
- 1:57Speaker 2: Do you need a license to fly in space? I
- 2:02Speaker 2: don't know. Anyhow, it is our hump day edition of
- 2:05Speaker 2: the program. Glad to have you here with us today
- 2:10Speaker 2: as we are halfway through the week for most of you.
- 2:12Speaker 2: We're three quarters of the way through the week here
- 2:14Speaker 2: for Chris X Radio because tomorrow we will do our
- 2:17Speaker 2: Friday show on Thursday, which will be our final show
- 2:22Speaker 2: with Cash. Cash O'Lean is heading up to the moon
- 2:25Speaker 2: to live on a moon base with a colony up
- 2:28Speaker 2: there and then I think he's going to hitch a
- 2:30Speaker 2: ride to Mars after that and Who knows? He's leaving
- 2:34Speaker 2: us in the terrestrial dust. So there you go. But
- 2:38Speaker 2: we got him for one more day, and then he's out.
- 2:41Speaker 2: But for now, he's here. He's flying the mothership. Got
- 2:43Speaker 2: his co-pilot, Captain Jack, with him. And then I do
- 2:47Speaker 2: believe Captain Jack will be taking over next week. I
- 2:49Speaker 2: don't know. Who knows? You'll just have to tune in
- 2:52Speaker 2: on Monday to find out. Anywho, it is the last
- 2:56Speaker 2: week of early voting. Early voting goes through Friday, October 30th.
- 3:00Speaker 2: That is this Friday. Election day is next Tuesday, November 3rd,
- 3:04Speaker 2: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on all these election days.
- 3:08Speaker 2: By the way, it looks like last I saw, looks
- 3:11Speaker 2: like we possibly have rain come in here on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday,
- 3:18Speaker 2: and then Tuesday an 85% chance of rain. So for
- 3:22Speaker 2: those of you who don't want to get out and
- 3:24Speaker 2: early vote, realize you may be waiting in line in
- 3:26Speaker 2: the rain on Tuesday. This is why I like to
- 3:29Speaker 2: early vote. First of all, I didn't have to wait
- 3:31Speaker 2: in line hardly at all. And then second of all,
- 3:35Speaker 2: I didn't have to do it in the rain. So
- 3:37Speaker 2: there you go. We'll always ask once again. We've gotten
- 3:40Speaker 2: responses every single day. Early voting has been very busy.
- 3:43Speaker 2: It's going to be historical as far as midterm elections
- 3:46Speaker 2: go and early voting. Did any of you early vote today?
- 3:53Speaker 2: What did you see? How was it? I early voted
- 3:55Speaker 2: last Friday. I told you I was in and out
- 3:57Speaker 2: in 10 minutes over in Jersey Village. So it was
- 4:01Speaker 2: very quick and easy for me last week. But I
- 4:04Speaker 2: wonder if there's still some places that have long lines
- 4:07Speaker 2: or how was it for you? Did you get in
- 4:09Speaker 2: and out on a relatively quick basis? I was wondering
- 4:13Speaker 2: if the early voters are trailing off a little bit.
- 4:16Speaker 2: From what I've heard, the Democrats sort of peaked and
- 4:18Speaker 2: have backed off a little bit. But they were still
- 4:21Speaker 2: about in Harris County, I think, where 100,000, roughly 100,000
- 4:23Speaker 2: plus voters. ahead of Republican voters. But as the Democrat
- 4:30Speaker 2: voters were trailing off, the Republicans were holding strong. So
- 4:34Speaker 2: that meant they were catching them. We'll see how it
- 4:37Speaker 2: is through Friday. And then, of course, we have Election Day,
- 4:39Speaker 2: which I think generally Republicans win Election Day. I think
- 4:44Speaker 2: that's one of the reasons why so many Republicans are,
- 4:47Speaker 2: we're Election Day voters. They don't want to make it
- 4:50Speaker 2: easier to vote. They'll wait in line an hour in
- 4:54Speaker 2: the rain. Anyway, did any of you get out and
- 4:57Speaker 2: vote earlier today? What have you seen? 281-558-KSEV, 281-558-5738. We
- 5:05Speaker 2: got a lot going on today. Attorney General Ken Paxton's
- 5:10Speaker 2: historic settlement with the Texas Children's Hospital has now led
- 5:16Speaker 2: to the first detransition clinic. Texas Children's Hospital has officially
- 5:23Speaker 2: opened a medical clinic for patients seeking care after undergoing
- 5:28Speaker 2: gender transition interventions, fulfilling a requirement of the legal settlement
- 5:33Speaker 2: that also required the hospital to pay $ 10 million as
- 5:38Speaker 2: Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and, of course, Democrat James
- 5:42Speaker 2: Talafrico compete in a U.S. Senate race with very contrasting
- 5:47Speaker 2: records on transgender policies. James Tallarico sits in daydreams about
- 5:53Speaker 2: trans children and how much he loves them. It's a
- 5:56Speaker 2: very weird statement he made. Whereas Ken Paxton has not
- 6:02Speaker 2: only sued Texas Children's Hospital, but won and now the
- 6:06Speaker 2: very first gender trans, what do you call it, detransition
- 6:11Speaker 2: clinic has actually opened and they're paying for it.
- 6:16Speaker 8: Hmm.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Boy, isn't that a contrast of ideas. You get trans, non-binary, Tallarico.
- 6:33Speaker 2: By the way, I've heard as we have gone on,
- 6:38Speaker 2: I've heard that the support for Tallarico sort of has peaked.
- 6:43Speaker 2: And if that's the case with Trump here in town yesterday, well,
- 6:46Speaker 2: and in Texas, he stumped for Ken Paxton at two
- 6:49Speaker 2: different rallies in Texas yesterday and was lambasting Talafrico. Oh, man,
- 6:55Speaker 2: he was urging voters to get out and back. You know,
- 6:58Speaker 2: Ken Paxton criticized James Talafrico, as he calls him. The
- 7:03Speaker 2: president's first rally was in Corpus Christi yesterday, where he
- 7:06Speaker 2: emphasized Republicans under Trump support the oil industry, adding Texas
- 7:11Speaker 2: wealth would disappear under Talafrico.
- 7:13Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Who reportedly said in 2020 that Texas's oil and gas
- 7:18Speaker 2: industry is not going to last. But even from, if
- 7:23Speaker 2: you go back to one of the great years in history, 2016,
- 7:26Speaker 2: our policy has always been drill, baby, drill, and man,
- 7:31Speaker 2: are we drilling now. But if Texas elects communist James Talafrico,
- 7:36Speaker 2: that wealth will rapidly disappear. He said some other stuff, too.
- 7:41Speaker 2: It's pretty good.
- 7:41Speaker 4: Take a listen.
- 7:42Speaker 2: This is Trump yesterday.
- 7:43Speaker 8: But if Texas elects communist James Talafrico, that wealth.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Will rapidly disappear. It's just, look, it's just the way
- 7:53Speaker 2: it is.
- 7:53Speaker 8: Talofrico stated that he wants to dismantle Texas oil and
- 7:57Speaker 8: gas and capitalism itself.
- 7:59Speaker 4: He wants to take it apart.
- 8:00Speaker 8: And he personally wrote the Texas version of the Green
- 8:03Speaker 8: News scam. He loves green energy, which is now.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Very out of whack. You know why it didn't work?
- 8:10Speaker 8: Germany tried it. Other countries tried it. They all went
- 8:13Speaker 8: almost bust. Had Germany not changed, of course, there wouldn't
- 8:16Speaker 8: be Germany anymore.
- 8:17Speaker 4: It doesn't work.
- 8:18Speaker 10: It costs a lot.
- 8:19Speaker 8: It's always bad when you pay top dollar for something
- 8:22Speaker 8: that doesn't work. Telefrico will kill millions of Texas jobs.
- 8:27Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 8:28Speaker 2: And then they moved on over to Lubbock, where Trump
- 8:33Speaker 2: decided to go off on Telefrico even a little bit more.
- 8:39Speaker 2: And this was, well, this really shows you the contrast
- 8:42Speaker 2: between him and Kim Paxton.
- 8:43Speaker 8: We can't allow this to happen to our country. He's
- 8:46Speaker 8: attended sexualized drag shows for kids. And he even said
- 8:50Speaker 8: he is a favorite drag queen.
- 8:51Speaker 4: He knew the names of every drag queen.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Did you see what.
- 8:55Speaker 12: They were saying?
- 8:55Speaker 4: Who's your favorite? Well, I like about nine of them.
- 8:57Speaker 8: And he starts rattling off names.
- 9:00Speaker 4: I don't know of any.
- 9:02Speaker 8: Not only did he state that God is transgender. He
- 9:07Speaker 8: actually said that if Jesus Christ himself. came and visited
- 9:12Speaker 8: the Texas legislature, Jesus would be promoting sex changes for
- 9:17Speaker 8: little children.
- 9:22Speaker 2: He's just so weird. I know Trump is paraphrasing a little,
- 9:26Speaker 2: but he just points out the difference, not only between
- 9:30Speaker 2: Democrats and Republicans, but especially James Tallarico, who is just.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Remember he's running a meatless campaign? Remember when Trump commented
- 9:42Speaker 2: on that?
- 9:43Speaker 8: So this terrible fake, and he is a fake.
- 9:48Speaker 2: He is a fake.
- 9:48Speaker 4: He said all of a sudden, he's a vegan.
- 9:51Speaker 8: You know, my wife told me, sir, you have to
- 9:54Speaker 8: do me just a little bit of a favor.
- 9:56Speaker 4: It's not vegan, it's vegan. I don't know about that stuff.
- 9:59Speaker 2: I'm not into it.
- 10:00Speaker 8: But he said it's vegan please pronounce that word properly
- 10:04Speaker 8: I called it vegan how the hell would I know
- 10:07Speaker 8: I like steak.
- 10:12Speaker 2: How the hell would I know I like steak I
- 10:15Speaker 2: like steak too I like chicken I like cheesecake Like
- 10:21Speaker 2: pizza and ice cream and all those good things. Like
- 10:26Speaker 2: American apple pie. Like cherry pie. So anyway, so Trump
- 10:32Speaker 2: is rallying, and it seems to be helping, I do believe.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Republicans are finally starting to get out an early vote.
- 10:37Speaker 2: They seem to be continuing from what we'll see if
- 10:40Speaker 2: it maintains here for the next three days, today, tomorrow,
- 10:43Speaker 2: and Friday. And then Election Day on Tuesday, which Republicans
- 10:47Speaker 2: tend to turn out. Hopefully we'll see how they end
- 10:49Speaker 2: up doing. But that's contrasting candidates, to say the least.
- 10:59Speaker 2: We live in bizarre times. A dude like James Tallarico
- 11:03Speaker 2: can actually compete in a state like Texas. At least
- 11:06Speaker 2: we don't have what's happening in Alaska. Did you see
- 11:08Speaker 2: Democrats in Alaska created this plan to find a second
- 11:11Speaker 2: candidate also named Dan Sullivan? as in Senator Daniel S. Sullivan,
- 11:18Speaker 2: a Republican in Arkansas. I'm sorry, in Alaska. An Alaska Democrat, U.S.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Senate candidate, former representative Mary Peltola. She's the Democrat. They
- 11:28Speaker 2: face off against each other. The Democrats, apparently, Peltola knew
- 11:33Speaker 2: it and went through and actively recruited someone named Dan
- 11:38Speaker 2: Sullivan to run as a Republican against Dan Sullivan. They
- 11:41Speaker 2: have their rank choice, which is bizarre. But they actively
- 11:46Speaker 2: recruited somebody to run against Dan Sullivan to try to
- 11:50Speaker 2: split up the vote to confuse voters. And apparently they
- 11:53Speaker 2: knew about it and her attorneys were involved in it.
- 11:56Speaker 2: And all I got to say is that the Trump
- 11:58Speaker 2: administration is already suing them to block certification because dirtbags
- 12:04Speaker 2: going to dirtbag because that's what dirtbags do. I mentioned cheesecake.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Scott Besson compares the Obama library to Darth Vader's tomb
- 12:14Speaker 2: after former President Obama criticized the White House renovations. I'm
- 12:18Speaker 2: sure you saw Obama was at a rally in Ohio
- 12:21Speaker 2: on Saturday campaigning for the Democrats, and he slammed President
- 12:25Speaker 2: Trump's renovations at the White House. Did you guys see that?
- 12:30Speaker 2: It's kind of bizarre. He said he's got the White
- 12:34Speaker 2: House looking like Saddam Hussein opened a cheesecake factory. After
- 12:40Speaker 2: discussing Trump's affinity for gold decor and the various projects
- 12:44Speaker 2: underway at the White House, this includes a new ballroom,
- 12:47Speaker 2: changes to the Rose Garden, a new helipad. Well, Treasury
- 12:51Speaker 2: Secretary Scott Besson responded by going to the Cheesecake Factory
- 12:55Speaker 2: in D.C. for lunch and then hit back at the
- 13:00Speaker 2: former president's remarks with a criticism of the design of
- 13:03Speaker 2: the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago. He said, this is
- 13:08Speaker 2: the man who built the museum, and it looks like
- 13:10Speaker 2: Darth Vader's tomb. I had a great meal, always have
- 13:15Speaker 2: a great meal, and I would tell Martha's Vineyard set
- 13:17Speaker 2: to give it a try. Now, Besson was asked by
- 13:21Speaker 2: Fox Business what he had had for lunch at the
- 13:23Speaker 2: Cheesecake Factory. He said he ordered the French dip cheeseburger.
- 13:26Speaker 2: I don't think I've had that. I may have to
- 13:30Speaker 2: go give it a try. So that's his typical order
- 13:33Speaker 2: at the restaurant. The Treasury Secretary's critique of the Obama
- 13:37Speaker 2: Presidential Center's design comes as the building has been dubbed
- 13:41Speaker 2: the Obama-lisk. By some of the over 225-foot granite-clad tower's appearance,
- 13:49Speaker 2: the projected price tag on the Obama Center surged from
- 13:53Speaker 2: its original estimate of $ 350 million to more than a
- 13:55Speaker 2: billion dollars. Now, I went to the Cheesecake Factory last weekend.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Their cheesecake is fantastic. It isn't cheap, but it's so
- 14:09Speaker 2: damn good. I think I had their tuxedo chocolate cheesecake. Oh,
- 14:13Speaker 2: my God, it was so good. I want to go back.
- 14:16Speaker 2: My question, I guess, for you guys today, where's the
- 14:18Speaker 2: best place to get cheesecake in Houston? Is there anywhere
- 14:21Speaker 2: better than the Cheesecake Factory? And I've had some of
- 14:24Speaker 2: their food, too. Their food is good as well. But
- 14:26Speaker 2: their cheesecake is amazing. 281-558-KSEV, 281-558-5738. And the Fed, the
- 14:33Speaker 2: Federal Reserve held interest rates unchanged today, saying the economy
- 14:37Speaker 2: still faces a bit of inflation ahead of the midterms.
- 14:41Speaker 2: So if you want to weigh in on any or
- 14:43Speaker 2: all of these issues, or if you want to tell me, one,
- 14:45Speaker 2: did you get out an early vote today? How's it looking?
- 14:50Speaker 2: Has anybody gone out today? A lot of other people
- 14:51Speaker 2: have voted. I've had word from people every day this
- 14:54Speaker 2: week on people have gone out and voted each day.
- 14:56Speaker 2: We've had anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour, depending
- 14:59Speaker 2: on where they went. Did you get out an early vote? 281-558-KSCV.
- 15:06Speaker 2: And if you didn't, or if you want to weigh in,
- 15:08Speaker 2: who's got the best cheesecake? Everybody knows I'm hungry this
- 15:11Speaker 2: time of day. I'm already hungry. I'm always hungry. Because
- 15:16Speaker 2: the show airs at dinner time. 281-558-KSCV. I can't think
- 15:21Speaker 2: of anybody that has better cheesecake than the Cheesecake Factory.
- 15:25Speaker 2: All right, let's take a break.
- 15:28Speaker 12: 281-558-5738.
- 15:28Speaker 2: If you want to weigh in, we'll go to, looks
- 15:31Speaker 2: like we've got George out in Tomball. George, you hang on.
- 15:33Speaker 2: You'll be up here next after the break. You're listening
- 15:36Speaker 2: to Chris X Radio. Don't you go anywhere. We're just
- 15:38Speaker 2: getting started, and we'll be right back.
- 15:44Speaker 13: Elections have consequences. So does your radio dial. Don't touch it.
- 15:49Speaker 13: Chris X Radio returns after this.
- 15:52Speaker 14: Thank you.
- 15:52Speaker 4: Thank you. Thank you.
- 16:11Speaker 14: Blacklock has called for reducing unnecessary delays and expenses, simplifying
- 16:15Speaker 14: court procedures, and making legal services more affordable. Because a
- 16:20Speaker 14: case should be decided on the facts and the law,
- 16:22Speaker 14: not on who can afford the longest fight. Texas courts
- 16:26Speaker 14: belong to the people. That means judges should be accountable,
- 16:29Speaker 14: rules should be clear, and the system should be accessible to.
- 16:32Speaker 4: Those who rely on it.
- 16:34Speaker 14: For Blacklock, equal justice means more than a principle. It
- 16:37Speaker 14: means a court system Texans can understand. Trust and afford
- 16:41Speaker 14: to use. Chief Justice Jimmy Blacklock.
- 16:44Speaker 4: Clear rules. Accountable courts.
- 16:46Speaker 14: Equal justice under law.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Political ad paid for by the Jimmy Blacklock campaign.
- 16:51Speaker 15: Come see the Three Amigos at the Lone Star Flight
- 16:54Speaker 15: Museum this Friday, October 30th as they broadcast live from
- 16:57Speaker 15: 4 to 6 p.m. from the 42nd Annual Wings Over
- 16:59Speaker 15: Houston Air Show. Grab some station giveaways and meet a
- 17:02Speaker 15: real aviator hero from the greatest generation this Friday from
- 17:05Speaker 15: 4 to 6 p.m. with the Three Amigos and AM700 KSEV.
- 17:10Speaker 16: In the race for governor, it's chaos versus common sense. First,
- 17:14Speaker 16: the chaos brought to you by Gina Hinojosa. She supports
- 17:17Speaker 16: open border policies so anyone can just walk in illegally.
- 17:21Speaker 16: And once they do, Hinojosa would allow them to vote
- 17:24Speaker 16: and get taxpayer funded health care. Gina Hinojosa favors a
- 17:27Speaker 16: state income tax and voted 40 times for higher property taxes.
- 17:32Speaker 16: And Hinojosa would threaten your safety because she supports defunding
- 17:35Speaker 16: the police and letting violent criminals out of jail.
- 17:39Speaker 1: But don't worry, because Governor Greg Abbott leads with common sense.
- 17:43Speaker 1: Abbott secured the border and cracked down on the deadly
- 17:46Speaker 1: drug cartels. He banned a state income tax so you
- 17:49Speaker 1: keep more of your money and Texas remains number one
- 17:52Speaker 1: in job creation. And Governor Abbott keeps you safe by
- 17:55Speaker 1: fully funding the police and keeping violent criminals locked up.
- 17:59Speaker 4: That's the choice, Texas.
- 18:00Speaker 1: The chaos that Gina Hinojosa would bring or the common
- 18:03Speaker 1: sense leadership of.
- 18:05Speaker 4: Governor Greg Abbott.
- 18:06Speaker 2: Political ad paid for by Texans for Greg Abbott.
- 18:11Speaker 17: Grab a sweater and a cocktail shaker. Cozy season starts
- 18:14Speaker 17: at Specs.
- 18:16Speaker 4: Discover big savings.

- 18:21Speaker 17: month long during Speck's fall sale. With the lowest prices
- 18:26Speaker 17: on Texas' largest selection, Speck's makes it easy to celebrate.

- 18:34Speaker 17: sale at Speck's Wine, Spirits, and Finer Foods. Choose to
- 18:38Speaker 17: save it.
- 18:39Speaker 18: Tune in to the Ray Massey Reverse Mortgage Show each
- 18:42Speaker 18: Friday at 1 p.m. and Saturdays at 3 p.m. with
- 18:44Speaker 18: Trayvon Mortgage. Or call Ray directly at 855-266-1600. Or online
- 18:50Speaker 18: at Reverse Mortgages at number4texans. com.
- 18:54Speaker 4: Fake news hates us. Fake news hates us. Chris X Radio.
- 18:59Speaker 4: Chris X Radio. There we go.
- 19:16Speaker 2: A little music, a little sound garden. Well, for those
- 19:21Speaker 2: who are listening or listening to our app or on
- 19:27Speaker 2: the website at kscvradio.com, if you're watching the video of
- 19:30Speaker 2: the program, you understand that maybe you can't hear the music. Well,
- 19:35Speaker 2: no one can hear it going out of that segment.
- 19:39Speaker 2: Cash decided he was going to take all the music
- 19:40Speaker 2: with him to the moon, I guess. But nonetheless, we
- 19:44Speaker 2: got it back. We're back.
- 19:45Speaker 7: I was testing our telepathic link, and it worked.
- 19:48Speaker 4: Oh, okay, good.
- 19:49Speaker 2: I'm glad that works. I can keep in touch with
- 19:52Speaker 2: Cash via telepathy. But we do stream the video on Rumble, YouTube, TwitterX,
- 20:03Speaker 2: and Facebook. But generally, you can't hear the music there.
- 20:07Speaker 2: For some reason, there's some digital reason. I don't know.
- 20:11Speaker 2: I don't get it at all, but there you go.
- 20:15Speaker 2: And during the break, I was having a sugar low.
- 20:18Speaker 2: I had to go get, man, I've got two big
- 20:22Speaker 2: buckets of candy. Well, they're not big buckets. Two buckets
- 20:25Speaker 2: of candy for Halloween trick-or-treaters. Usually, if the weather's nice, which,
- 20:30Speaker 2: by the way, I was looking at the weather.
- 20:31Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 20:32Speaker 2: Looks like we may have some rain on Halloween. Let's see.
- 20:35Speaker 2: Are we going to get, oh, man, it looks like
- 20:38Speaker 2: it's about an 80% chance. Which tends to cut down
- 20:41Speaker 2: on the trick-or-treaters. So if I don't get a bunch
- 20:43Speaker 2: of trick-or-treaters, I'm going to have a lot of leftover candy.
- 20:47Speaker 2: But I went and had one of those little Hershey's,
- 20:49Speaker 2: mini little Hershey's chocolate bars. So I need a little
- 20:52Speaker 2: sugar rush. And I feel better immediately. So I must
- 20:55Speaker 2: have been experiencing a sugar low, as I was telling
- 20:57Speaker 2: Cash on the break. I get hungry.
- 21:00Speaker 4: I am hungry.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Talking about cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory. I went there
- 21:05Speaker 2: on Saturday. I think it was Saturday. Saturday or Sunday.
- 21:08Speaker 2: I think it was Saturday. Went and had a slice
- 21:10Speaker 2: of the Tuxedo cheesecake or something. I think it was
- 21:14Speaker 2: a Hershey's, which, by the way, I'm a big fan
- 21:15Speaker 2: of Hershey's chocolate. But man, that cheesecake. But it's funny
- 21:21Speaker 2: because I hadn't been to Cheesecake Factory in a very
- 21:23Speaker 2: long time. It will forever resonate in my brain when
- 21:28Speaker 2: my father was put to death by Memorial Hermann. after
- 21:34Speaker 2: he died, the family, we went right across the street
- 21:38Speaker 2: over there on the west side of town and basically
- 21:40Speaker 2: just sat down and ate a very sad meal and
- 21:42Speaker 2: talked about it at Cheesecake Factory. And we all ate.
- 21:46Speaker 2: And I'll never forget, it was, first of all, you
- 21:49Speaker 2: lose your father, it sucks. Second of all, but we
- 21:51Speaker 2: were there and everybody was good to be with family.
- 21:54Speaker 2: And we sat there and ate. And I remember my
- 21:56Speaker 2: younger brother, Mike X, he paid for everybody, which was
- 21:59Speaker 2: really nice. But it was just one of those times
- 22:01Speaker 2: when you're just You're sort of in a fog, but
- 22:04Speaker 2: I remember the Cheesecake Factory from that. And then, of course,
- 22:07Speaker 2: I've been a few times since then, but I don't
- 22:09Speaker 2: go to that location. There's another location over there off 290.
- 22:12Speaker 2: And then there's, I don't know how many locations there
- 22:17Speaker 2: are about town. Maybe, Cash, can you send out one
- 22:20Speaker 2: of your pigeons to go find out how many Cheesecake
- 22:22Speaker 2: Factories there are around Houston?
- 22:23Speaker 18: Yes, sir.
- 22:25Speaker 2: All right, go send them out. I'm going to miss Cash.
- 22:27Speaker 2: Are you taking your pigeons with you when you go
- 22:28Speaker 2: to the moon? Because they can't fly on the moon.
- 22:32Speaker 7: Yeah, no, I think that would be animal cruelty. I
- 22:33Speaker 7: don't want to be the first in space.
- 22:38Speaker 2: Yeah, we don't want that. We don't want you to
- 22:40Speaker 2: be the first in space animal cruelty. Anyway, so if
- 22:43Speaker 2: you want to weigh in, did you get out and vote?
- 22:45Speaker 2: Early voting? Anyone voting today? 281-558-KSEV, 281-558-5738. Or who has
- 22:52Speaker 2: the best cheesecake in Houston? I'm going with the Cheesecake
- 22:56Speaker 2: Factory because it's the best that I've had. And there's
- 22:59Speaker 2: a lot of places that have some good desserts. But
- 23:02Speaker 2: I'm thinking the Cheesecake Factory has the best. All right,
- 23:04Speaker 2: let's go to the phones.
- 23:06Speaker 4: 281-558-KSCV.
- 23:07Speaker 2: We have George, who's been patiently holding in Tomball. George,
- 23:09Speaker 2: thank you for hanging on. Welcome to Chris X Radio.
- 23:14Speaker 19: Thank you, Chris. No, what I want to comment on
- 23:16Speaker 19: is actually, and I haven't voted yet, because there's just
- 23:20Speaker 19: a couple more of the races that where the candidates
- 23:23Speaker 19: are not identified by party, where I want to know
- 23:27Speaker 19: who is the preferred candidate. In other words, if you
- 23:30Speaker 19: would vote for them, so would I. So I want
- 23:33Speaker 19: to make sure that I'm able to vote in those
- 23:36Speaker 19: things that are not identified. But the comment is, first
- 23:40Speaker 19: I want to say I am not affiliated with this
- 23:42Speaker 19: person's campaign. I'm not an official representative of this individual.
- 23:49Speaker 19: It's just somebody that I started to look at. And
- 23:52Speaker 19: that is Rose Cardenas that's running for the family court
- 24:00Speaker 19: in Harris County 280. And I believe it's important to
- 24:07Speaker 19: get her in there because essentially that has been one
- 24:11Speaker 19: of the most abused courts in Harris County by the
- 24:16Speaker 19: opposition party. And that is the family court. They handle
- 24:22Speaker 19: family issues, protection orders and things like this. And not
- 24:26Speaker 19: the current candidate, current judge, but the one before her.
- 24:30Speaker 19: was actually censored by the Texas State Bar for abuse
- 24:35Speaker 19: of authority. And even though the judge that replaced her
- 24:40Speaker 19: was presented with evidence in several cases where the law
- 24:44Speaker 19: was misapplied and people were dealt with overwhelmingly heavy-handedly, she
- 24:50Speaker 19: took no action to make corrections. So this race could
- 24:55Speaker 19: not be for that. Like you said, the local races
- 24:58Speaker 19: are so important. This family court 280 race is so
- 25:03Speaker 19: important because it really does impact the lives of children, families,
- 25:09Speaker 19: and people at a personal level. So I just wanted
- 25:13Speaker 19: to get that plug in there. Again, I'm not affiliated
- 25:15Speaker 19: with Rose. Okay, I got that, George.
- 25:17Speaker 10: George, let me ask you a question.
- 25:18Speaker 2: George, stop talking. Let me ask you a question. What
- 25:21Speaker 2: is Ms. Cardenas' political affiliation, and who is she running against?
- 25:27Speaker 19: Republicans? It's her affiliation, and I don't know the name
- 25:35Speaker 19: of the person she's running against. She's a Democrat, and
- 25:38Speaker 19: therefore it wasn't important enough for me to look at.
- 25:41Speaker 2: Well, I'll look it up, so that's no problem at all.
- 25:43Speaker 2: I'll look it up during the break. But I wanted
- 25:45Speaker 2: to make sure– I can tell you this. If I
- 25:48Speaker 2: got to vote in that district– Guess who I voted for?
- 25:52Speaker 2: I voted for Rose Cardenas. So there's that.
- 25:55Speaker 4: Let me see.
- 25:56Speaker 2: Maybe I can look it up and get it for
- 25:57Speaker 2: you right now.
- 25:57Speaker 19: She's county-wide, so it's on everybody's ballot.
- 26:01Speaker 20: Go ahead.
- 26:05Speaker 2: Yeah, running against Damian Curvey, C-U-R-V-E-Y. That's the Democrat. And
- 26:10Speaker 2: it's Damian, D-A-M-I-A-N-E. So it's Rosa Cardenas has listed on
- 26:16Speaker 2: the ballot.
- 26:17Speaker 21: Okay.
- 26:18Speaker 2: So, but that is the Republican. So absolutely, I already
- 26:21Speaker 2: voted for Rosa. I would encourage everybody else to, because
- 26:24Speaker 2: these Democrat judges have been nothing but a nightmare. So absolutely, 100%,
- 26:29Speaker 2: I support your decision and this candidate.
- 26:34Speaker 19: Thank you, Chris. As far as cheesecake, I would just
- 26:38Speaker 19: say my friend Wayne's Cheesecake. But that's no fair.
- 26:43Speaker 2: But exactly, that's no fair. We can't go to Wayne's
- 26:45Speaker 2: and just get a cheesecake. Is Wayne's last name happen
- 26:49Speaker 2: to be Dolcefino, or is it a different Wayne?
- 26:52Speaker 19: It's a different Wayne.
- 26:54Speaker 2: Okay. This one has a job.
- 26:58Speaker 19: I'm joking. But, no, trust me, I can make a call.
- 27:02Speaker 9: Hey, I need a cake.
- 27:05Speaker 2: If you need a cake, thank you for the call, George.
- 27:06Speaker 2: I appreciate it. I wish we knew this version of
- 27:10Speaker 2: Wayne so we could get cheesecake. Actually, I know some
- 27:12Speaker 2: people who can make really good cheesecake, too, but they
- 27:15Speaker 2: don't sell it, so that doesn't qualify in my book.
- 27:19Speaker 2: You know, I've been to House of Pies. Their cheesecake's okay.
- 27:23Speaker 2: It was actually better than I expected. I can't remember
- 27:26Speaker 2: what kind I've tried. I just had a bite of
- 27:28Speaker 2: my girlfriend's cheesecake, so... But I had, like I said,
- 27:32Speaker 2: I always get pie when I go there. In fact,
- 27:34Speaker 2: I get the no sugar added cherry pie. So that's what,
- 27:39Speaker 2: because it's just as good as the other. In fact,
- 27:42Speaker 2: as I've gotten older, I don't quite need as much
- 27:44Speaker 2: sweets as I did when I was younger. But every
- 27:46Speaker 2: now and then you want it. So, but also I
- 27:49Speaker 2: like the breakfast at House of Pies. That's very good.
- 27:52Speaker 2: And some of their lunch, man, there was their Monterey
- 27:55Speaker 2: Jack cheese, a Monterey chicken sandwich or something. That's really
- 27:57Speaker 2: good too. But, yeah, so I'll go and go try that.
- 28:03Speaker 2: I'm trying to think of some of the other places
- 28:05Speaker 2: where I've had cheesecake. Some of the nicer steakhouses have
- 28:08Speaker 2: good cheesecake. All right, well, thanks for the call, George.
- 28:12Speaker 2: All right, let's take a break because we're over. Who else,
- 28:15Speaker 2: who has the best cheesecake in Houston? You know, Cash,
- 28:21Speaker 2: you and I need to go eat here on either
- 28:23Speaker 2: tonight or tomorrow for your final, your final... production of
- 28:27Speaker 2: Chris X radio. Uh, maybe we should go somewhere with
- 28:30Speaker 2: some cheesecake. Are you a big cheesecake fan or no?
- 28:34Speaker 7: I mean, I've never seen one stay on the plate
- 28:36Speaker 7: around me.
- 28:38Speaker 2: That's basically my response as well.
- 28:42Speaker 13: All right.
- 28:42Speaker 2: Who's got the best cheesecake? 2 8 1 5 5
- 28:43Speaker 2: 8 K S E V 2 8 1 5 5 8.
- 28:45Speaker 14: 5 7 3.
- 28:45Speaker 2: And we'll be right back.
- 28:57Speaker 4: You're listening to Chris X Radio. Chris X Radio, the
- 29:01Speaker 4: voice of Texas.
- 29:06Speaker 18: Tune in each Sunday morning at 9 a.m. for On
- 29:09Speaker 18: the Money with your host and CEO of Allied Wealth Texas,
- 29:12Speaker 18: Ryan Wheelis, who can help you live your richest life
- 29:15Speaker 18: possible during your retirement years. That's each Sunday at 9 a.m.
- 29:19Speaker 18: right here on AM700 KSCV.
- 29:21Speaker 4: Mike Schofield, working for us.
- 29:23Speaker 9: I believe qualified students applying for good-paying jobs after graduation
- 29:28Speaker 9: should have real opportunities. We dedicated over $ 150 million to
- 29:33Speaker 9: expand technical education programs across Texas. We need to keep
- 29:37Speaker 9: working to help our public school students and teachers. I
- 29:40Speaker 9: champion legislation that provides pay raises for public school librarians, counselors, nurses,
- 29:45Speaker 9: and teachers who take on harder teaching jobs. I'm Mike Schofield,
- 29:49Speaker 9: and I will always keep you and your family first.
- 29:52Speaker 9: As your state representative, I voted to protect our children
- 29:56Speaker 9: online by limiting what social media companies can expose your
- 29:59Speaker 9: kids to. We passed AI regulations including banning behavioral manipulation,
- 30:04Speaker 9: social scoring, and deep fakes, preventing sexual predators and big
- 30:08Speaker 9: tech from preying on our innocent kids. It's important we
- 30:12Speaker 9: stay vigilant to protect our families and especially our kids
- 30:15Speaker 9: from the criminals that are lurking on the Internet. Early
- 30:17Speaker 9: voting is going on now. Paid political ad, Mike Schofield campaign.
- 30:21Speaker 22: Your home is so important to you and your family.
- 30:24Speaker 22: Jim Clouk, a.k.a. Checker Pro Joe, here to keep you safe, dry,
- 30:27Speaker 22: and save you money. Catch our expert guests throughout the
- 30:30Speaker 22: week right here on KSCV, The Voice of Texas, or

- 30:35Speaker 2: That's checkerpro.com. Morning, honey.
- 30:40Speaker 23: Election day is right around the corner. What do you
- 30:43Speaker 23: think about the Senate race? They both have baggage.
- 30:46Speaker 24: Paxton's made some mistakes, but like all of us, he
- 30:48Speaker 24: will have to answer for his. But electing Tallarico would
- 30:52Speaker 24: be a lifelong mistake for every Texan.
- 30:54Speaker 4: How do you figure that?
- 30:56Speaker 24: If Tallarico wins, the Democrats and Chuck Schumer will take
- 30:59Speaker 24: control of the Senate. They plan to raise taxes, reopen
- 31:02Speaker 24: the border, and take away our health care.
- 31:04Speaker 23: And what about my job in the oil patch?
- 31:06Speaker 24: Tallarico wants to go after fossil fuels. So much for
- 31:10Speaker 24: the price of gas. And Tallarico is doing a lot
- 31:13Speaker 24: of fancy talking from both sides of his mouth to
- 31:15Speaker 24: confuse us. Wearing his Halloween mask before Halloween.
- 31:19Speaker 23: Guess we made our decision.
- 31:20Speaker 24: Ken Paxton.
- 31:22Speaker 23: Ken Paxton, a conservative who will always stand up for Texas.
- 31:26Speaker 23: Elect Ken Paxton, U.S.
- 31:28Speaker 4: Senate.
- 31:29Speaker 23: LNC Coalition paid for and is responsible for the content
- 31:31Speaker 23: of this advertising. Not authorized by any candidate or candidates committee.
- 31:40Speaker 6: From the KSEV Weather Center, tonight will be mainly clear
- 31:43Speaker 6: with a low of 63. Tomorrow, expect sunshine along with
- 31:46Speaker 6: areas of high clouds and a high of 83. Tomorrow night,
- 31:49Speaker 6: we'll bring some clouds with a low of 64. On Friday,
- 31:52Speaker 6: anticipate mostly cloudy conditions with a passing shower and a
- 31:55Speaker 6: high of 78. Saturday will feature shifting clouds and sun
- 31:58Speaker 6: along with a couple of showers and a thunderstorm with
- 32:01Speaker 6: a high of 83. Finally, Sunday is expected to be
- 32:04Speaker 6: mostly cloudy with a high of 83. With the KSEV
- 32:07Speaker 6: Weather Center forecast, I'm AccuWeather Meteorologist Jason Catarina.
- 32:14Speaker 4: Back to Chris X Radio. Chris X Radio. On the
- 32:17Speaker 4: voice of Texas.
- 32:19Speaker 25: What a good song.
- 32:36Speaker 2: Cash, you're going to miss our music here on Chris
- 32:37Speaker 2: X Radio, aren't you?
- 32:40Speaker 8: Oh, yeah.
- 32:40Speaker 7: No, I'm hoping satellite radio can cut in.
- 32:44Speaker 2: Well, you got, well, there's satellite radio, which we're not
- 32:48Speaker 2: on satellite radio, but we are on the internet at kscvradio.com.
- 32:52Speaker 2: You can download the app. I don't know what sort
- 32:55Speaker 2: of internet they're going to have on the moon when
- 32:56Speaker 2: you're up there staying in that moon colony. I'm assuming
- 33:00Speaker 2: Starlink is going to work because obviously Elon Musk is.
- 33:07Speaker 7: Well, if AT & T has already gotten there, I'm
- 33:08Speaker 7: going to go cross-eyed because that's insane.
- 33:11Speaker 2: Yeah, that wouldn't make sense. There's no way AT &
- 33:12Speaker 2: T is on the moon yet. Or was it Xfinity?
- 33:16Speaker 4: No, no, no.
- 33:17Speaker 2: It's going to be Starlink for sure. So there you go.
- 33:21Speaker 2: But so there you can still listen. All right, cool.
- 33:24Speaker 2: I'll be looking forward to it. What is it? There's
- 33:27Speaker 2: text messages and then there's the digital, whatever the Apple
- 33:31Speaker 2: messages you get. You can send those via Wi-Fi, I guess,
- 33:35Speaker 2: if you don't have signal. You know, we live in
- 33:37Speaker 2: a crazy time now where it's so weird. Because you
- 33:42Speaker 2: guys know I always go up to Mason County in
- 33:44Speaker 2: the Hill Country, which is smack dab in the center
- 33:45Speaker 2: of Texas. And I go visit the ranch owners. And
- 33:48Speaker 2: the ranch owners are virtually living in the late 70s,
- 33:52Speaker 2: early 80s. They're old. One is 80. The other is 78, 79.
- 33:57Speaker 2: They don't have cell phones. They just have a landline.
- 34:00Speaker 2: And I found out this week they're losing their landline.
- 34:02Speaker 2: I guess Verizon lost. bought whatever company was providing their
- 34:06Speaker 2: phone service, so they're losing their landline, but they're providing
- 34:09Speaker 2: them with something, and I'm not sure what. So that's
- 34:13Speaker 2: going to happen, and I'll find out. But they're sweet people,
- 34:19Speaker 2: but they're living... And kind of the dark ages. It's
- 34:24Speaker 2: weird because these are older people and you've got the
- 34:28Speaker 2: lady who's she's at the ranch, you know, we'll get
- 34:30Speaker 2: out and feed or water the cows. And then, of course,
- 34:33Speaker 2: the ranch owner is there and he goes and feeds
- 34:36Speaker 2: the cows and they do cattle roundups and all of
- 34:39Speaker 2: this stuff. And I'm just like, this is amazing that
- 34:42Speaker 2: they're doing this stuff. And then when they drive somewhere,
- 34:45Speaker 2: if they're going down to Fredericksburg or to Mason or
- 34:48Speaker 2: They're driving in cars without a cell phone. But the
- 34:52Speaker 2: interesting thing is we live in an interesting time. One
- 34:54Speaker 2: of the neighbor ladies gave the lady who's the wife
- 34:57Speaker 2: of the ranch owner an iPhone. I don't know if
- 35:00Speaker 2: she has phone service, but if you have an iPhone,
- 35:05Speaker 2: you can make the like the Internet Wi-Fi calls or whatever.
- 35:09Speaker 2: But also, which I'm sure she doesn't really know how
- 35:11Speaker 2: to use it. But also you can go and send
- 35:14Speaker 2: email and text messages and all of these things that
- 35:16Speaker 2: an 80-year-old person would not be interested in doing. So
- 35:21Speaker 2: I don't know to what degree they'll be using this stuff.
- 35:24Speaker 2: And I don't know exactly is Verizon going to provide
- 35:27Speaker 2: them with another landline. But the landlines are strictly becoming
- 35:31Speaker 2: a thing of the past. I haven't had a landline
- 35:35Speaker 2: in some time now. I've taken my cell phone, but
- 35:38Speaker 2: then again, also I've got, I've used, you know, the internet,
- 35:41Speaker 2: there's different things you can do, but I've, I've been
- 35:44Speaker 2: an iPhone. I'm still, I'm still on the iPhone 13.
- 35:46Speaker 2: So at some point I'll upgrade, but I sure do
- 35:50Speaker 2: enjoy my $ 34 a month, unlimited everything with a peer talk.
- 35:54Speaker 2: That's who I'm with. And the only reason it's $ 34
- 35:59Speaker 2: is I've rounded up to donate to veterans. So, But
- 36:04Speaker 2: I'm so far from a landline. So it's kind of
- 36:06Speaker 2: crazy going up there because, like I said, they're great people.
- 36:08Speaker 2: I love going up there and visiting them. But it
- 36:11Speaker 2: is kind of funny because you call. They've got an
- 36:13Speaker 2: old-school answering machine. So until, I guess, them eliminating the landline,
- 36:18Speaker 2: like I said, it's 1980s, man. It's the last time
- 36:22Speaker 2: I remember. Cash, in your lifetime, have you ever had
- 36:26Speaker 2: an answering machine or have you always been on cell
- 36:28Speaker 2: phones since you've been around?
- 36:30Speaker 7: I mean, it wasn't mine, but, yeah, I grew up
- 36:32Speaker 7: with an answering machine and the very first gen of
- 36:35Speaker 7: caller ID.
- 36:36Speaker 2: Oh, man, yeah, that was weird.
- 36:39Speaker 4: That was awesome.
- 36:39Speaker 7: It was like an event every time the phone went off.
- 36:43Speaker 2: It was. I remember when we first got at my
- 36:45Speaker 2: parents' house, running over the telephone and looking and going, man,
- 36:50Speaker 2: who's calling? There's an area phone. I don't know who
- 36:53Speaker 2: it is. And it's funny because I remember being kids.
- 36:56Speaker 2: We never locked the doors ever at my parents' house.
- 37:00Speaker 2: they were never locked. So the neighbors would come over
- 37:04Speaker 2: and our friends or whatever. And our friends didn't knock.
- 37:07Speaker 2: They just walked in. So how was, if you knocked,
- 37:09Speaker 2: it was like, man, it was weird. But then you
- 37:12Speaker 2: look at, you know, today we had landlines. And then
- 37:14Speaker 2: I remember where the cordless telephones came about and really
- 37:18Speaker 2: that I remember that was so cool to have a
- 37:21Speaker 2: cordless telephone. Whoa. And then of course, eventually cell phones
- 37:25Speaker 2: came along, but At my parents' house, which both my
- 37:29Speaker 2: parents are gone, but that old answering machine. In fact,
- 37:35Speaker 2: I think we still have the old answering machine with
- 37:38Speaker 2: my mom's voice on it, which, by the way, you
- 37:40Speaker 2: can tell time goes on. My mom passed away 22
- 37:43Speaker 2: years ago on Wednesday, October 25th, three days ago. And
- 37:49Speaker 2: this is the first time, I guess because it was
- 37:51Speaker 2: over the weekend, it didn't just hit me because every
- 37:54Speaker 2: other time on the 25th of October— It hit me.
- 37:57Speaker 2: And I'm like, okay, so... And then now my dad's
- 37:59Speaker 2: been gone coming up on five years.
- 38:03Speaker 4: So.
- 38:04Speaker 2: I say, no, he's been gone five years. Next year
- 38:07Speaker 2: will be six years. So that's a weird part of
- 38:10Speaker 2: getting older. But then, like I said, thinking is still...
- 38:13Speaker 2: There's still an answering machine at my parents' old house
- 38:17Speaker 2: that has my mom's voice on it. From 25 years ago,
- 38:20Speaker 2: at least, he's been gone 22 years.
- 38:22Speaker 3: So....
- 38:25Speaker 2: But anyway, the other thing is, like I said, going
- 38:28Speaker 2: and visiting these people up in the hill country, which
- 38:30Speaker 2: I really enjoy getting out to country and getting out
- 38:33Speaker 2: to– there's sort of a– I don't know if it's
- 38:37Speaker 2: a– I guess an instinctual thing. Some people really hate
- 38:42Speaker 2: being outside. When it's really hot out, I understand that.
- 38:45Speaker 2: But in the wintertime when it's cool and comfortable, that's
- 38:48Speaker 2: when it's fun to be up there because you don't
- 38:50Speaker 2: have to deal with the bugs really. And you don't
- 38:54Speaker 2: really have to deal with the rattlesnakes when it's cold.
- 38:56Speaker 2: Still got to be careful. But getting out there and
- 38:59Speaker 2: going and hunting, like I said, I don't hunt deer anymore.
- 39:03Speaker 2: But I still see those hogs and just the damage
- 39:05Speaker 2: they cause. So I try to do what I can
- 39:08Speaker 2: to keep cutting down on the hog population. But I'm
- 39:12Speaker 2: not the only hog hunter. All the other guys up
- 39:14Speaker 2: there hunt hogs too. They hunt deer too. But those guys,
- 39:18Speaker 2: it was so funny. One of the guys, if he's listening, Jonathan,
- 39:22Speaker 2: he goes up and hunts. He was talking about some of,
- 39:24Speaker 2: I got to be careful, the noise suppressors for the rifles,
- 39:29Speaker 2: which I told you guys. I got one now and
- 39:30Speaker 2: I can shoot my gun. It doesn't even ring my ears,
- 39:33Speaker 2: which is amazing. But he's got the much nicer ones.
- 39:38Speaker 2: These guys are, they're professionals hunters, basically. Anyway, but he's
- 39:42Speaker 2: got a really good one. And sometimes at the feeder,
- 39:45Speaker 2: you'll get 8, 10, 12, 15, 20 hogs. And he
- 39:48Speaker 2: was telling me the story about with a suppressor. He
- 39:52Speaker 2: was shooting hogs and he'd shoot one, it'd fall over
- 39:54Speaker 2: and die. You'd just fall over and the other hogs
- 39:56Speaker 2: would just look at it and go, huh? Because it
- 39:58Speaker 2: couldn't hear the shot. And they'd go right back to eating.
- 40:02Speaker 2: And he said they didn't catch on until he'd killed
- 40:04Speaker 2: eight hogs. I'm like, well, I haven't had that. And
- 40:07Speaker 2: mine isn't quite that silent. So they're still going to
- 40:11Speaker 2: hear a boom. It's just not going to be quite
- 40:14Speaker 2: as loud as the regular gunshot because they're so loud.
- 40:18Speaker 23: Oh, man.
- 40:21Speaker 2: But anyway, it's kind of bizarre. The other thing, too,
- 40:23Speaker 2: is I wonder. I kind of know where the ranch
- 40:25Speaker 2: owner leans politically. His wife may be on the other
- 40:29Speaker 2: side of the spectrum. But it's funny. I didn't ask him.
- 40:33Speaker 2: I forgot to ask him last time I was up.
- 40:34Speaker 2: Are you going to early vote? I'm assuming he's probably
- 40:37Speaker 2: an election day voter. Maybe he is getting out early
- 40:41Speaker 2: voting now. But needless to say, I saw Paxton signed
- 40:46Speaker 2: up there. So I'll just say that. That's the other thing, too,
- 40:50Speaker 2: is driving the hill country. When you're driving through there,
- 40:54Speaker 2: I saw Tallarico signs. Of course, I've seen Beto signs
- 40:57Speaker 2: and I've seen Kamala Harris signs, but not nearly as many.
- 41:01Speaker 2: When you start driving through the rural parts of Texas,
- 41:04Speaker 2: it is Trump country. It is Republican country. And we
- 41:08Speaker 2: don't need. Needless to say, the Democrats don't really resonate
- 41:13Speaker 2: with those people other than the low information voters in
- 41:15Speaker 2: those areas. But as I mentioned, early voting is still underway.
- 41:19Speaker 2: It's going through this Friday, October 30th, 7 a.m. to
- 41:23Speaker 2: 7 p.m. Election Day is Tuesday, November 3rd. That's next Tuesday,
- 41:27Speaker 2: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. If you're in Harris County,
- 41:31Speaker 2: we had a call from George in the last segment
- 41:33Speaker 2: who was talking about race 280 vote for the Republican
- 41:36Speaker 2: Rosa Cardenas, which I already voted for. I voted last Friday,
- 41:39Speaker 2: early voting. Harrisvotes.com is where you can get your ballot,
- 41:43Speaker 2: your sample ballot in Harris County. So if you want
- 41:47Speaker 2: to go get that done. All right, let's take a break.
- 41:49Speaker 2: We'll come back. We'll take your calls if you want
- 41:50Speaker 2: to weigh in. Has anyone early voted? Or if you
- 41:53Speaker 2: want to weigh in on Ken Paxton's historic settlement with
- 41:56Speaker 2: Texas Children's Hospital that leads to the first detransition clinic,
- 42:00Speaker 2: I think, in America. In fact, we'll sort of get
- 42:03Speaker 2: to that here in the next segment. Or if you
- 42:05Speaker 2: want to weigh in on who has the best cheesecake.
- 42:07Speaker 2: I think right now, I'm thinking the Cheesecake Factory is it.
- 42:11Speaker 2: I don't know if anyone has better cheesecake than the
- 42:14Speaker 2: factory of cheesecakes. 281-558-KSCV, 281-558-5738. I'm Chris X. We'll be
- 42:21Speaker 2: right back to wrap up this first hour.

- 44:05Speaker 30: Are you thinking about a cash-out refinance? Hi, it's Kathy

- 44:15Speaker 30: A recent client who closed with us had his payment
- 44:18Speaker 30: go up about $ 300, but his monthly outgo was being

- 45:34Speaker 4: The Voice of Texas. The Voice of Reason. Chris X Radio.
- 45:52Speaker 2: People on video watching the air drum to air. They
- 45:55Speaker 2: can't hear the cool Stone Temple Pilots music playing. But
- 45:59Speaker 2: I was right on. One-armed air drumming. All right, welcome
- 46:03Speaker 2: back to Chris X Radio. You've reached the final segment
- 46:06Speaker 2: of the first hour, but don't you go anywhere. Okay,
- 46:08Speaker 2: so apparently I've triggered everybody to call in off air.
- 46:11Speaker 2: So I'm going to answer some questions. You've reached the
- 46:14Speaker 2: final segment of the first hour, but if you want
- 46:16Speaker 2: to get in, 281-558-KSV. 281-558-5738. Has anyone gotten out and
- 46:24Speaker 2: early voted today? We had one caller who called in
- 46:26Speaker 2: off air. Was it Gary Cash? Is that who called in?
- 46:28Speaker 4: It was Gary from Egypt, Texas.
- 46:30Speaker 2: From Egypt, Texas, which I've been through Egypt on my
- 46:33Speaker 2: way to Saddle River Range, a great gun range. It's
- 46:37Speaker 2: funny because I know Tom, the guy who owns it,
- 46:40Speaker 2: and former Secret Service, awesome guy. And it's funny because
- 46:44Speaker 2: I don't bother him. I don't talk to him too often.
- 46:46Speaker 2: If I wanted, I could go there and shoot all
- 46:48Speaker 2: the time, but I don't because he always takes such
- 46:51Speaker 2: good care of me. Such a great guy. So if
- 46:54Speaker 2: you do go to Saddle River Range and you see
- 46:55Speaker 2: Tom over there, Tom Bolsch, make sure you tell him
- 46:58Speaker 2: Chris X says hello. But I try not to go.
- 47:00Speaker 2: I don't try to wear it. My welcome over there.
- 47:02Speaker 2: It's been a while. But on the way that driving
- 47:05Speaker 2: over there, I drive right through Egypt, Texas. So he
- 47:09Speaker 2: went out and voted and it was in Montgomery County.
- 47:11Speaker 2: And he said the lines are a little bit less,
- 47:13Speaker 2: but they still with about 30 minutes, he said. Yes, sir.
- 47:17Speaker 6: OK.
- 47:18Speaker 2: All right, so 30 minutes to get there. By the way,
- 47:21Speaker 2: we had another caller who asked, had I gone to
- 47:24Speaker 2: Poncho's yet? I have not gone because we came to
- 47:28Speaker 2: the conclusion that the only Poncho's left in Houston is
- 47:31Speaker 2: the one over in Humble. So I have not been
- 47:33Speaker 2: to Humble since we've had the conversation, and I have
- 47:36Speaker 2: not been to Poncho's yet. I need to get over there. Cash,
- 47:40Speaker 2: should we do our final meal before you go live
- 47:43Speaker 2: on the moon? Should we go to Poncho's or we
- 47:44Speaker 2: need to go somewhere better?
- 47:45Speaker 7: I don't know. I mean, it's in the running for sure.
- 47:48Speaker 2: Okay.
- 47:48Speaker 23: All right.
- 47:49Speaker 2: So now we've got Cheesecake Factory in the running. We've
- 47:52Speaker 2: got Ponchos. We've got Chewy's. We've got Gringo's. Have you
- 47:57Speaker 2: noticed how most of the conversations on this program revolve
- 48:01Speaker 2: around food? Have you noticed that, Cash?
- 48:04Speaker 7: It's, you know, I've been plotting out, you know, the
- 48:06Speaker 7: data points, and it's leaning that way.
- 48:08Speaker 2: And by the way, you sent out your pigeon, and
- 48:10Speaker 2: your pigeon came back that there are seven Cheesecake Factory
- 48:13Speaker 2: locations around the Houston area.
- 48:15Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 48:16Speaker 7: As far down as Texas City, up to the Woodlands,
- 48:19Speaker 7: and then out near Katy Way. And then the rest
- 48:22Speaker 7: of them are kind of in the loop.
- 48:24Speaker 6: All right.
- 48:24Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 48:25Speaker 2: So I know there's one over there off like near
- 48:27Speaker 2: town and country. There's one off to 90, up there
- 48:31Speaker 2: near 99. You mentioned the Woodlands. I didn't realize there
- 48:34Speaker 2: was one down by Texas City Way.
- 48:38Speaker 8: Wow.
- 48:38Speaker 2: Then you mentioned, I think there's another one over in
- 48:40Speaker 2: the Gal. Is it the Galleria or the... What is
- 48:43Speaker 2: the River Oaks area? What is that area called? The
- 48:45Speaker 2: Rich Area? I think there's one over there.
- 48:47Speaker 7: Oh, I mean like River Oaks?
- 48:49Speaker 2: Well, yeah, that means that. But there's like a hip
- 48:52Speaker 2: term for it.
- 48:53Speaker 7: Oh, yeah, no, I'm not that cool.
- 48:55Speaker 2: Yeah, that's okay. You will be banished to the moon.
- 49:01Speaker 2: And I was asking Cash during one of the breaks.
- 49:03Speaker 2: I was like, hey, man, you're not going to get
- 49:04Speaker 2: cheesecake on the moon. And what did you reply to me, Cash?
- 49:07Speaker 2: What did you say?
- 49:08Speaker 7: I mean, the moon is made of cheese. That's obvious.
- 49:11Speaker 2: Well, the moon is made of cheese. But is there
- 49:14Speaker 2: any cake on the moon?
- 49:15Speaker 7: There's got to be one baker by this point.
- 49:20Speaker 2: I guess so.
- 49:21Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 49:22Speaker 2: We'll see. Cash, will you keep in touch with us
- 49:24Speaker 2: and let us know how it's going while you're up
- 49:26Speaker 2: there on the moon?
- 49:28Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 49:28Speaker 7: No, I think I can probably get a hold of
- 49:30Speaker 7: some of the communications arrays up there with all this training.
- 49:32Speaker 2: Okay. Well, here's another idea, too. Get a really long
- 49:36Speaker 2: ball of string. and then get a couple of cans
- 49:40Speaker 2: or cups, leave one here on Earth, and then take
- 49:43Speaker 2: a cup with you and then take that string when
- 49:45Speaker 2: you get on Elon Musk's space rocket and you fly
- 49:48Speaker 2: up to the moon, just take them. And if the
- 49:50Speaker 2: string goes all the way, well, then we got a
- 49:52Speaker 2: direct connection right there.
- 49:53Speaker 7: Nice idea.
- 49:54Speaker 2: That's what I'm thinking. Thinking you could do that so
- 49:58Speaker 2: that way we can stay in touch. Cash may have
- 50:01Speaker 2: a direct line here to Chris X Radio when he
- 50:03Speaker 2: goes up to the moon. All right, so I have
- 50:06Speaker 2: not been to Poncho's. Haven't gone yet. I really just
- 50:12Speaker 2: kind of want to go because that is the Poncho's,
- 50:14Speaker 2: the one in Humble, that apparently is in the same
- 50:16Speaker 2: location that I went to as a kid. So that
- 50:19Speaker 2: was at least 40, 45 years ago, which is crazy. So,
- 50:26Speaker 2: first of all, it's amazing, but I want to go there,
- 50:29Speaker 2: raise that little flag. I don't remember who the caller was.
- 50:32Speaker 2: I don't remember if it was Joe or somebody called
- 50:34Speaker 2: in and just nailed it with what they have. I
- 50:38Speaker 2: remembered all of it as he said it. The sopapillas
- 50:41Speaker 2: with honey. Oh, my God, those are so good. Everything's
- 50:45Speaker 2: dessert today because of the cheesecake comment by Obama. And
- 50:50Speaker 2: by the way, in the next hour, we'll talk about
- 50:51Speaker 2: this historic settlement between Texas Children's Hospital and the Attorney
- 50:55Speaker 2: General Ken Paxton that has now led to the first
- 50:58Speaker 2: detransition clinic here in Texas or maybe in the world
- 51:02Speaker 2: or the country. And they're paying for it. Needless to say,
- 51:07Speaker 2: Ken Paxton has been a whole lot more effective than
- 51:10Speaker 2: the others. We'll get to that. Then, of course, Barack
- 51:13Speaker 2: Obama made that comment that the remodeling of the White
- 51:18Speaker 2: House and all the stuff that Trump was like, you know,
- 51:20Speaker 2: Saddam Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory. I'm like, if Saddam
- 51:23Speaker 2: Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory that looks like something that
- 51:26Speaker 2: Trump built, it would be pretty awesome and I would
- 51:28Speaker 2: definitely go there. Because I went to the Cheesecake Factory
- 51:31Speaker 2: last weekend. Oh, let's get Bobby in out in Conroe
- 51:34Speaker 2: before we run out of time here in the First Tower. Bobby,
- 51:36Speaker 2: thanks for hanging on. Welcome to Chris X Radio.
- 51:38Speaker 32: All right.
- 51:40Speaker 11: Tidwell and I-45 North, if it's still there, that poncho.
- 51:45Speaker 2: You know what? I'll look. I don't think it's still there.
- 51:49Speaker 2: I think the only one remaining is in Humble.
- 51:54Speaker 11: It could be. That's the one I know. Tidwell and
- 51:57Speaker 11: I-45 North, right there in that strip center.
- 52:00Speaker 2: That sounds like it's right there near Mattress Mac, too.
- 52:04Speaker 19: You can go look at furniture.
- 52:06Speaker 11: Yeah, somewhere in that area.
- 52:08Speaker 12: All right.
- 52:08Speaker 11: You got to go now. So do I. Talk to
- 52:10Speaker 11: you later.
- 52:10Speaker 2: Bye. All right. Take care, Bobby. Thank you for the
- 52:12Speaker 2: call and the update. Let's look.
- 52:14Speaker 23: Okay.
- 52:14Speaker 2: Ponchos. I'm typing it in. Ponchos. Ponchos Mexican Buffet. Let's
- 52:21Speaker 2: see locations. Don't see one over there. See one in Humble.
- 52:27Speaker 18: Oh, wait.
- 52:27Speaker 23: No.
- 52:28Speaker 2: Maybe he's right. There is one. And it is located
- 52:31Speaker 2: right there near Tidwell. Tidwell and I-45, where you don't
- 52:36Speaker 2: have a back order slip. Oh, nope, sorry. It's not there.
- 52:42Speaker 2: It says underneath it permanently closed. So it is closed down.
- 52:46Speaker 2: It must have been one of the remaining ones. The
- 52:50Speaker 2: one in Humble, all-you-can-eat restaurant chain seems to be the
- 52:55Speaker 2: last living link. All right, we'll have to go there.
- 53:03Speaker 2: You got to be careful, though, man. When you go
- 53:04Speaker 2: eat those buffets, sometimes I don't have the strongest stomach
- 53:09Speaker 2: in the world, so I don't want to get stuck
- 53:10Speaker 2: like certain people that have to do my radio show
- 53:13Speaker 2: from home because I just don't feel well.
- 53:15Speaker 4: I don't want that.
- 53:16Speaker 2: I like feeling good. I don't remember how good ponchos was,
- 53:22Speaker 2: but I guess I'll have to take one for the

- 53:39Speaker 33: News this hour from Town Hall.
- 53:44Speaker 7: I'm Keith Peters in Washington.
- 53:47Speaker 33: Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh is explaining the decision to
- 53:50Speaker 33: leave interest rates unchanged following the Fed's announcement Wednesday that
- 53:55Speaker 33: interest rates will stand pat. Warsh said the job market
- 53:58Speaker 33: remains strong, but persistent inflation is a problem.
- 54:01Speaker 34: The committee believes that the accumulation of more information... will
- 54:06Speaker 34: help it determine the policy stance appropriate to ensure a
- 54:10Speaker 34: timely return of inflation to the 2% goal.
- 54:14Speaker 33: He repeated his inflation worries several times to reporters. Warr
- 54:18Speaker 33: said the U.S. is experiencing healthy economic growth despite ongoing
- 54:22Speaker 33: geopolitical events. Rates remain in a range of 3.75% to 4%,
- 54:25Speaker 33: and the next rate decision will come in December. Nearly
- 54:32Speaker 33: 80% of Americans say they have at least one major
- 54:35Speaker 33: financial regret, according to a new survey from Debt.com. Michael
- 54:39Speaker 33: Kastner reports.
- 54:41Speaker 35: Regrets, I've had a few.
- 54:45Speaker 4: You're not alone, Frank.
- 54:47Speaker 36: At the top of the list is delaying retirement savings
- 54:50Speaker 36: and credit card debt. The survey found that people holding
- 54:54Speaker 36: six or more credit cards jumped to 16%.
- 54:58Speaker 2: The debt is real, too.
- 54:59Speaker 36: Some 40% of cardholders owe between $ 5, 000.
- 55:03Speaker 2: And $ 15, 000.
- 55:04Speaker 36: It also found that one in five people don't have
- 55:07Speaker 36: a single dollar saved for retirement. I'm Michael Kastner.
- 55:11Speaker 33: At least 64 people are dead after two high-speed passenger
- 55:15Speaker 33: trains collided and derailed in central Spain earlier today. The
- 55:19Speaker 33: crash sent two carriages down an embankment with at least
- 55:22Speaker 33: 68 people also injured. High-speed rail service between Madrid and
- 55:27Speaker 33: southern Spain has been suspended. On Wall Street, the Dow
- 55:31Speaker 33: by 97 points, the S & P advanced 21. More

- 57:06Speaker 4: From KSEV, here's political contributor Ben Strewsand.
- 57:11Speaker 39: Most polling shows that Republicans are going to have a
- 57:14Speaker 39: tough time winning majorities in both houses of Congress in November.
- 57:18Speaker 39: Voters blame Trump for inflation and believe that many of
- 57:22Speaker 39: the necessities they need to purchase have become unaffordable. Two
- 57:26Speaker 39: out of three voters don't believe that preventing Iran from
- 57:30Speaker 39: building a nuclear weapon is worth the higher gas prices
- 57:33Speaker 39: that they are paying. Voters never give a president credit
- 57:37Speaker 39: for preventing bad things like a nuclear war from happening.
- 57:40Speaker 39: President Trump should realize by now that the Islamic Republic
- 57:44Speaker 39: will never agree to a deal that results in a
- 57:47Speaker 39: Trump win. The mullahs read the polls and see the
- 57:50Speaker 39: domestic political pressure to end the war. It's part of
- 57:53Speaker 39: their strategy. We should stop chasing a bad deal. This
- 57:57Speaker 39: does not mean that we should resume unlimited airstrikes, but
- 58:00Speaker 39: rather targeted decapitation strikes against their leadership, as the Israelis
- 58:06Speaker 39: used effectively. If Iranian leaders won't cut a deal, then let's.
- 58:11Speaker 4: Get new ones.
- 58:12Speaker 39: The real leverage we have against Iran is economics. We
- 58:15Speaker 39: destroyed what Iran took decades to build, their defense industrial
- 58:20Speaker 39: base used to manufacture drones, missiles, and nuclear weapons. Inflation
- 58:26Speaker 39: in Iran is running at 40%. The blockade collapsed the
- 58:30Speaker 39: revenue stream used by the Revolutionary Guard Corps, their security services,
- 58:36Speaker 39: and all the government infrastructure. If our blockade is allowed
- 58:40Speaker 39: to continue and not stopped by Democrats, and a few
- 58:45Speaker 39: lame-duck Republicans in Congress, we can eliminate.
- 58:48Speaker 4: The mullahs' leverage over its people.
- 58:51Speaker 39: We don't need regime change to pressure them into a
- 58:54Speaker 39: better deal for us.
- 58:56Speaker 2: Just perseverance.
- 58:58Speaker 39: Intercepting what leaks out via Iran's shadow tanker fleet will
- 59:02Speaker 39: speed the process. The best guess is this pressure will
- 59:06Speaker 39: take six months to show results. Right around the time
- 59:10Speaker 39: of the elections. I'm Ben Strewsand, and that's my view.
- 59:16Speaker 4: Ben Strewsand, only on AM700 KSEV.
- 59:22Speaker 40: Thank goodness our weather experts are providing us with hurricane
- 59:25Speaker 40: tracking charts and reminding us to be prepared for big storms.
- 59:28Speaker 40: But they overlook one very important thing, the damage and
- 59:31Speaker 40: destruction from broken limbs and uprooted trees. Call Lewis Flory
- 59:34Speaker 40: at Ability Tree Experts today. My friend for nearly 40 years.
- 59:38Speaker 40: At 281-441-4179 and let him explain how this problem can
- 59:43Speaker 40: be minimized with professional pruning. You see, when the tree
- 59:46Speaker 40: canopy is too thick and dense, the tree can be
- 59:49Speaker 40: completely blown over and tree limbs broken, causing terrible damage
- 59:53Speaker 40: to the tree and maybe your home. Where tree limbs break?
- 59:56Speaker 40: Sap will ooze, and that attracts harmful insects. So you
- 59:59Speaker 40: need to call Louis Flory today at 281-441-4179 and have
- 1:00:06Speaker 40: his experts come out and professionally prune your trees to
- 1:00:09Speaker 40: withstand sudden storms that are so frequent this time of year.

- 1:00:42Speaker 2: It's Chris X Radio.
- 1:00:43Speaker 4: Chris X Radio.
- 1:00:45Speaker 3: What we need right now is a clear message to
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: the people of this country. This message must be read
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: in every newspaper, heard on every radio, seen on every television.
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: This message must resound throughout the entire intelligence.
- 1:00:59Speaker 4: And now, your host.
- 1:01:00Speaker 10: I believe this is going to be our finest hour.
- 1:01:02Speaker 4: Chris X.
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: Good evening and welcome to the second hour of Chris
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: X Radio. Glad to have you here with us as
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: we are rocking the final week of early voting here
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: on your hump day edition of the program. I'm the
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: aforementioned X-Man. If you want to join us, 281-558-KSCV.
- 1:01:30Speaker 6: 281-558-5738.
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: We actually have a lot to get into that I
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: haven't really gotten into any of it, so I'll do
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: that this hour. But there's a couple of things I
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: wanted to hit on. It is the final week of
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: early voting. It goes through Friday, October 30th. from today
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: through Friday, the 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. So you
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: can still get out and vote, early vote today, tomorrow
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: or Friday. And then Election Day is next Tuesday, November 3rd,
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. 80% chance of rain from
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: what I just saw on Tuesday. So that doesn't seem awesome.
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: So you want to make a point to get out
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: and vote if you want to wait in line, or
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: I imagine it'll be busy on Election Day. But we've
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: got historic turnout for early voting, so that's cool. So
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: I always like to get it done. I got it
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: done last Friday. Did anybody early vote today? What are
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: you still seeing? We heard from one person in the
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: first hour. This is about 30 minutes, so it wasn't
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: too bad. Lines had lessened a bit, but they were
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: still there. I was in and out in 10 minutes
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: on Friday. 281-558-KSEV if you want to weigh in.
- 1:02:30Speaker 12: 281-558-5738.
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: And after Barack Obama made a comment, and it seems
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: to have sort of backfired and blew up in his face,
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: Because he's one of those quote-unquote everyman elites. He's a
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: total elitist. He said at a rally, he was campaigning
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: for Democrats on Saturday, and he was talking about Trump's
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: renovations at the White House. And apparently he's not a fan.
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: He said Trump's got the White House looking like Saddam
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: Hussein opened a cheesecake factory. After talking about his affinity
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: for gold and the various projects underway, that includes the
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: new ballroom, changes to the Rose Garden, and the new helipad,
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: which is actually very cool. But Treasury Secretary Scott Besant
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: responded by going to eat lunch at a cheesecake factory
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: in D.C. And then reporters hit him up after and
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: were like, hey, man, what do you think about going
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: here and what Barack Obama said? And his response was,
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: this is the man who built the museum, and it
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: looks like Darth Vader's tomb. The Presidential Museum. He said,
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: I had a great meal. I always have a great
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: meal here. And I would tell the Martha's Vineyard set
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: to give it a try. Scott Besant is one of
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: the highlights of this Trump administration. He's very sharp. He's
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: very good. And he hammers these dirt bags pretty well.
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: He said he got his regular lunch at the Cheesecake
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: Factory at the French Dip Cheeseburger, which I don't think
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: I've ever had. So I'm going to have to try that.
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: but he hammered president Obama's presidential center because it does.
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: Some have dubbed it the Obama list. It's a 225
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: foot granite clad towers appearance. It looks like a Holocaust
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: museum or something. Darth Vader would have created the projected
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: price tag of the Obama center surged from its original
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: estimate of $ 350 million to more than a billion dollars
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: for that piece of garbage. Because that's what it is.
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: It's trash. And you have to show your ID to
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: get in. So that's always kind of funny to me. Like, oh, wait,
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: you got to show your ID? How come Democrats force
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: people to show their IDs everywhere they have, you know,
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: whenever they have conventions or you go do things, you
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: got to show your ID. Everybody's got to show their ID.
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: But when it comes to voting, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: No ID. I went to the Cheesecake Factory actually over
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: the weekend before I ever even heard Barack Obama made
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: a comment. In fact, maybe it was before. And just
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: every now and then, once I've gone a couple of
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: times here in the last probably couple of months and
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: got cheesecake, I can't remember what I got the first
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: time I went there. And then the second time I
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: got the tuxedo, cheesecake was very good. And my question was,
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: where's the best cheesecake in Houston? Where's the best place
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: to get cheesecake? And the only comment we got was
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: some other Wayne, not Wayne E.D., makes great cheesecake. So, okay,
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: that's cool. But unless I can put that cheesecake in
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: my mouth, I don't care. I want to know places
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: to go get good cheesecake. And maybe it doesn't even
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: have to be the best. Who has good cheesecake?
- 1:05:36Speaker 20: 281-558-5738.
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: 281-558-KSEV.
- 1:05:38Speaker 4: Okay, so.
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: I need to go through this article because Attorney General
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: Ken Paxton, who's running for the Senate, U.S. Senate here
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: for Texas, has a historic settlement with the Texas Children's
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: Hospital in that has now led to the first detransition clinic.
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: Texas Children's Hospital has officially opened a medical clinic for
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: patients seeking care after undergoing the gender reassignment surgeries, which
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: you really can't change gender. You can just do things
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: that mimic that of the opposite sex. Anyway, fulfilling a
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: requirement of legal settlement that also requires the hospital to
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: pay $ 10 million... Now this, as Ken Paxton is going
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: against James Tallarico for the U.S. Senate race here in Texas,
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: which shows the contrasting records on transgender policies. The nation's
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: first ever detransition clinic is now open as a result
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: of this historic settlement with Texas Children's Hospital, Paxton wrote
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: on Tuesday on X. The clinic will provide individualized, multidisciplinary
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: detransition-related services medical care to patients through age 21, along
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: with detransition-related obstetric and gynecological care for patients older than 21.
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: According to Texas Children's Hospital's website, available specialties include endocrinology, surgery,
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: primary care, fertility counseling, psychiatry, psychology, social work and case management,
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: and speech pathology. Apparently I need that. Patients can request
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: appointments online and undergo initial virtual triage visit to determine
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: their medical needs. Care may be provided at different Texas
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: Children's locations depending on the services recommended by their medical team.
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: Under the settlement, Texas Children's must provide the clinic services
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: free of charge for five years and promote the facility
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: on its website. This is what Ken Paxton got done
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: as Attorney General. The agreement also required the hospital to
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: pay $ 10 million, permanently terminate the privileges of three current physicians,
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: permanently bar two former physicians from obtaining privileges at Texas
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: Children's affiliated facilities, and implement operational reforms, including employee training
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: and restrictions on gender transition procedures. This is because they
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: got caught lying. The settlement resolved allegations that Texas Children's
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: Hospital submitted false claims to government health care programs for
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones and other gender transition treatments using
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: false diagnosis codes. They got popped. They got caught. The allegations,
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: of course, were investigated by the attorney general's office and
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: the Department of Justice. And now we see the settlement.
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: So apparently they were doing. Well, they were doing things
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: that is now illegal in the state of Texas. On
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: the opposite end of the spectrum, he's running against James Telefrico.
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: James Telefrico daydreams about trans children. He loves them. he said.
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: He loves drag queens. They can name one off the
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: top of his head. President Trump was stumping for ken
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: paxton at two texas rallies yesterday one in corpus christi
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: and one in lubbock here's what he said in corpus
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: christi and then of course i'll play the audio from
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: the one in lubbock as well take a.
- 1:09:22Speaker 8: Listen but if texas elects communist james telefrico that wealth
- 1:09:27Speaker 8: will rapidly disappear it's just look it's just the way
- 1:09:31Speaker 8: it is talofrico stated that he wants to dismantle texas
- 1:09:35Speaker 8: oil and gas and capitalism itself he wants to take
- 1:09:38Speaker 8: it apart and he personally wrote the texas version of
- 1:09:41Speaker 8: the green news scam he loves green energy which is
- 1:09:45Speaker 8: now very out of whack you know why it didn't
- 1:09:47Speaker 8: work germany tried it other countries tried it they all
- 1:09:51Speaker 8: went almost bust had germany not changed of course there
- 1:09:54Speaker 8: wouldn't be germany anymore it doesn't work it costs a
- 1:09:57Speaker 8: lot It's always bad when you pay top dollar for
- 1:09:59Speaker 8: something that doesn't work.
- 1:10:01Speaker 32: Yeah.
- 1:10:01Speaker 8: Talafrico will kill millions of Texas jobs.
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: So that was in Corpus Christi. But then Trump continued
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: on to Lubbock, and so did Ken Paxton, which he
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: brought up on stage on both. But then Trump said
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: this about Talafrico in Lubbock, which this is pretty hilarious
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: to me. I enjoyed this.
- 1:10:19Speaker 8: We can't allow this to happen to our country. He's
- 1:10:22Speaker 8: attended sexualized drag shows for kids. And he even said
- 1:10:26Speaker 8: he is the favorite drag queen.
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: He knew the names of every drag queen. Did you
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: see where they always said, who's your favorite?
- 1:10:32Speaker 8: Well, I like about nine of them.
- 1:10:34Speaker 4: And he starts rattling off names.
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: Trump and his hyperbole.
- 1:10:38Speaker 8: Not only did he state that God is transgendered, he
- 1:10:43Speaker 8: actually said that if Jesus Christ himself came and visited
- 1:10:48Speaker 8: the Texas legislature, Jesus would be promoting sex changes.
- 1:10:52Speaker 4: For little children.
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: If you go back and look at what James Tallarico
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: voted for, advocated for, and has spoken about for the
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: last eight years in the Texas House, you'll see that
- 1:11:04Speaker 2: is the case. Now he's running a campaign completely opposite
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: of what he's actually done and said and the way
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: he's operated. He's lying to get votes. That's not a
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: new concept. But it is new that here in Texas,
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: someone like Talafrico can raise, I don't know, $ 200 million
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: plus and then run against billionaires donating for Ken Paxton,
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: but not so much himself. It's sort of bizarre. But nonetheless,
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: he's been able to fool a lot of people, but
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: it looks like, from what I'm hearing now, that support
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: for Talafrico has sort of reached the top. That's it.
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: They're done. Republicans are still voting. Democrats have outvoted Republicans,
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: what they're saying so far in early voting, but the
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: Democrats have sort of peaked and are going down, and
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: Republicans are still climbing, which could lead for a very
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: interesting election day. Trump being hilarious, as he always is,
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: makes it very interesting. Anyway, 281-558-KSV, 281-558-5738. We'll go to
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: the phones here in just a second. You've also got
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: the Federal Reserve held interest rates unchanged today as the
- 1:12:17Speaker 2: economy faces some inflation ahead of the midterms with the
- 1:12:22Speaker 2: gas prices. Now, gas prices have come down. In the
- 1:12:26Speaker 2: last month or so, about 29, 30 cents, depending on
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: where you're at. So that helps a little, but... Does
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: it help enough? Diesel's still very, very, very expensive. Anyway,
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: all right, if you want to weigh in, 281-558-KSEV. Let's
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: go to David listening in Sugar Land. David, thank you
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: for hanging on. Welcome to Chris X Radio.
- 1:12:46Speaker 38: Hi, Chris X.
- 1:12:47Speaker 32: Thanks for listening to me. I guess what I want
- 1:12:50Speaker 32: to say is I feel the Republicans' messaging needs to
- 1:12:56Speaker 32: be just dirt simple. Right now, I think the biggest
- 1:12:59Speaker 32: issue that... the Democrats have going for them that they
- 1:13:04Speaker 32: can make a good case on is affordability. And we
- 1:13:08Speaker 32: talk about, I mean, sometimes we'll go a little bit
- 1:13:11Speaker 32: out on the fringes talking about interest rates or how
- 1:13:15Speaker 32: the economy works, and people don't have the, I don't know,
- 1:13:19Speaker 32: either the brains or the attention span to go there.
- 1:13:22Speaker 32: I think all we have to do is say, if
- 1:13:26Speaker 32: you don't like affordability, when the Democrats get in, prices
- 1:13:32Speaker 32: are going to skyrocket. I think that's all we have
- 1:13:34Speaker 32: to say. And I've seen some signs out there that
- 1:13:37Speaker 32: say high oil, high gas prices, high food prices, vote Democrat.
- 1:13:43Speaker 32: And that's where I want to attend something that says,
- 1:13:46Speaker 32: and prices will skyrocket. I think if you say that,
- 1:13:50Speaker 32: people know that that's the Democrats' heritage. That's what happened
- 1:13:54Speaker 32: the last four years. But we could say a few
- 1:13:56Speaker 32: other things like... You know, when the borders open, these
- 1:14:00Speaker 32: people will compete for your housing and your food and
- 1:14:03Speaker 32: your medical. And if taxes are increased, that will get
- 1:14:08Speaker 32: passed down to you at the supermarket for rent.
- 1:14:14Speaker 12: But anyway.
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: Well, you know, David, listen, I agree with your sentiment.
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: The only problem is the Democrats control the propaganda and
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: the media outlets. The reality is Democrats here in Harris
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: County literally just raised the taxes the maximum amount without
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: letting the people vote on it. And those very same
- 1:14:31Speaker 2: Democrats are also running on affordability. If you can't convince
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: people that the very people that just raised their taxes,
- 1:14:38Speaker 2: and as you pointed out, for the last four years
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: are the ones that jacked up the cost of everything,
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: and you're going to vote for them because the Republicans
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: haven't gotten things affordable enough for you yet, how do
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: you reach those people?
- 1:14:52Speaker 32: Yeah, I guess maybe my problem is I hear a
- 1:14:56Speaker 32: lot of the conservative talk shows, and they'll go off
- 1:15:01Speaker 32: on all these. Things that I think are a little
- 1:15:03Speaker 32: bit more complex, but I guess that's because we can
- 1:15:08Speaker 32: figure it out.
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: Well, there's the thanks for the call, David. I appreciate it.
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: It's a good question. Messaging is always going to be
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: second guess. Some of the messaging that you just iterated
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: has been sent out there. I've heard President Trump talking
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: about it. And I've heard some of the others. But
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: the problem is it is so hard to get that
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: message out without spending $ 150, $ 250 million to go out
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: there because the lamestream media, no news outlet is going
- 1:15:35Speaker 2: to give you that coverage unless maybe sometimes Fox News.
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: But they're not exactly always friendly to Republicans either, which
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: they– I don't think necessarily that should be the case.
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: But the problem is all of these– NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, Ms. Now,
- 1:15:52Speaker 2: all of these networks are nothing more than propaganda for Democrats.
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: And they're always pushing the lies. So when it comes
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: to the information, well, you're right. Simple is better, but
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: it's really hard to get past. And the other thing, too,
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: when you're talking about talk radio, when we're talking about things,
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: understand I have already assessed that multiple times on the program.
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: Keep it simple, stupid. The only problem is you can't
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: just sit there and say that over and over and
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: over and over again and expect people to keep listening
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: here and talk radio. We actually can talk about things
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: in complex structures, and you're absolutely right. Our crowd can
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: understand it and can hear it. Their crowd doesn't want
- 1:16:27Speaker 2: to hear it. So that's what makes it really tough.
- 1:16:30Speaker 2: The problem is in this elections, these will be decided
- 1:16:33Speaker 2: most likely because they usually are by the quote unquote
- 1:16:36Speaker 2: independent or lack of affiliated voters, but also the low
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: information voters. Those are the voters who do not listen
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: to talk radio. The listeners of talk radio are high
- 1:16:49Speaker 2: information voters. Usually there are some that are brainwashed and
- 1:16:53Speaker 2: will never change their mind. But the reality is the
- 1:16:55Speaker 2: others are looking for information, which is like I said,
- 1:16:58Speaker 2: why it's good to have people like you call into
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: these programs, because then you're actually, you know, subjected to
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: information that you're not going to get on the other side. Plus,
- 1:17:06Speaker 2: you know, our audience reach is limited compared to, you know,
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: all of these networks and things because theirs is way
- 1:17:14Speaker 2: over the top. I mean, The odds are just stacked
- 1:17:18Speaker 2: so hard in their favor. That being said, they can
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: either barely win or don't. So we'll see what happens.
- 1:17:25Speaker 2: I agree with your messaging. Anything we can do to
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: make the messaging simpler is good. They've done some of that,
- 1:17:30Speaker 2: but yeah, if you're listening to talk radio, you're going
- 1:17:32Speaker 2: to hear some of that messaging, but you're going to
- 1:17:33Speaker 2: hear the other stuff too, that you talked about some
- 1:17:35Speaker 2: of the more complex things when you talk about the
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: interest rate, talk about oil prices and that sort of stuff.
- 1:17:41Speaker 2: And yeah, that's like I said, when you start talking
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: about oil prices, that's where the inflation comes from.
- 1:17:46Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: And then the other thing is trying to explain to people,
- 1:17:49Speaker 2: you know, the war in Iran is terrible. Well, it
- 1:17:52Speaker 2: is terrible. Any war is terrible. But was it absolutely necessary?
- 1:17:57Speaker 2: And I've had people call in and say, you need
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: to go on and talk about you put something in
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: the middle of Hanoi and 4,000 square feet around it.
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: Everybody's crispy critters. I'm like, Trump tried that. The propaganda
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: outlets took it as he was trying to bomb two
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: cities in California. They will lie and manipulate anything you say. And,
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: of course, he was very frustrated and dropped an ass
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: mom on the radio, and I don't think he's called back,
- 1:18:24Speaker 2: and I don't blame him. But he couldn't handle me
- 1:18:28Speaker 2: explaining what exactly happened when Trump tried to make that
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: analogy by telling me that's what we need to do.
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: So it's not as quite as simple as it seems,
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: especially when you're running against dirtbag Democrats who will lie, cheat,
- 1:18:41Speaker 2: and steal to win elections. All right, 281-558-KSEV. I'm Chris X.
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: We'll be right back. Thanks for the call, David.
- 1:18:50Speaker 4: You're listening to Chris X Radio.
- 1:18:52Speaker 10: Chris X Radio.
- 1:18:53Speaker 4: On the voice of Texas.
- 1:18:56Speaker 41: A Soros-funded Democrat district attorney. More than 900 people charged

- 1:19:06Speaker 41: about your safety. We must stop the insanity in Harris County.
- 1:19:10Speaker 41: And 495th Criminal District Court Judge Lori D'Angelo is working
- 1:19:15Speaker 41: hard to do just that and keep our families safe.
- 1:19:19Speaker 41: Twice appointed by Governor Greg Abbott, Republican Judge Lori D'Angelo
- 1:19:24Speaker 41: needs your vote to continue to fight for us by

- 1:21:58Speaker 4: I'm Pastor Brandon Myers.
- 1:22:00Speaker 42: Sometimes a wolf appears in sheep's clothing. Let's give James
- 1:22:04Speaker 42: Tallarico a Bible study. Tallarico claims there are six genders,
- 1:22:09Speaker 42: but Genesis 127 says he created them male and female.
- 1:22:13Speaker 42: Tallarico claims God is both masculine and feminine and everything
- 1:22:17Speaker 42: in between. But in Luke 11-2, Jesus teaches his disciples
- 1:22:20Speaker 42: how to pray to his Father. Tallarico claims he has
- 1:22:23Speaker 42: learned much about his faith, from Islamic mystics. But in
- 1:22:27Speaker 42: John 14, 6, Jesus says, no one comes to the
- 1:22:30Speaker 42: Father but through me.
- 1:22:32Speaker 4: Mr.
- 1:22:32Speaker 42: Tallarico, either Christianity is true or it isn't. Either Jesus
- 1:22:37Speaker 42: was a sinless person who died on the cross to
- 1:22:40Speaker 42: pay the penalty for our sins and rose from the dead,
- 1:22:43Speaker 42: or he wasn't. This is what Christians believe. Beware of wolves.
- 1:22:51Speaker 23: Paid for by the One Nation Under God Foundation. A
- 1:22:53Speaker 23: tax-exempt 501c3 committee.
- 1:22:56Speaker 4: Chris X Radio.
- 1:22:59Speaker 25: You know, I miss.
- 1:23:13Speaker 2: The times when the liberals just made good music and
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: then didn't talk politics. Some of them just can't quite
- 1:23:20Speaker 2: grasp it. By the way, I haven't mentioned Donnie Irish.
- 1:23:24Speaker 2: You guys remember him? His one-hit wonder. He was a
- 1:23:29Speaker 2: one-hit one-eater. He passed away. He was like 83 years old,
- 1:23:33Speaker 2: I do believe. He did the song, Alia. It was funny.
- 1:23:37Speaker 2: I'd never seen the video for it, and I watched it. Man,
- 1:23:39Speaker 2: he was a nerdy guy back in the 80s or 70s.
- 1:23:43Speaker 2: Maybe late 70s. Maybe middle 70s. I don't even know.
- 1:23:48Speaker 2: But he was still out there, still doing it up to,
- 1:23:51Speaker 2: I think, all the way up through earlier this year.
- 1:23:53Speaker 2: And then he passed away. So we're losing the one-hit wonders.
- 1:23:58Speaker 2: We're losing a lot of these names that you may recognize.
- 1:24:01Speaker 2: I don't know how many people that know Donny Iris
- 1:24:04Speaker 2: in our audience. But he was, actually, I think he
- 1:24:06Speaker 2: had another hit, too. I don't remember it. But his
- 1:24:09Speaker 2: big one was Aaliyah. It was a great song. I
- 1:24:12Speaker 2: really liked that song. Anyway, welcome back to Chris X Radio.
- 1:24:15Speaker 2: Once again, it's our last week of early voting. Still
- 1:24:17Speaker 2: have time. You got about an hour and a half
- 1:24:19Speaker 2: to get out and vote today if you want. It
- 1:24:20Speaker 2: goes through Friday, 7 a.m.
- 1:24:21Speaker 4: To 7 p.m.
- 1:24:23Speaker 2: October 30th, All Hallows' Eve. And then Election Day is
- 1:24:27Speaker 2: next Tuesday, November 3rd, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. And
- 1:24:32Speaker 2: it looks like an 80% chance of rain. So you're
- 1:24:34Speaker 2: going to have to fight the rain to go vote.
- 1:24:36Speaker 2: All right, let's go get a phone call. 281-558-KSEB. If
- 1:24:39Speaker 2: you want to join us, 281-558-5738. Let's go to Robert
- 1:24:43Speaker 2: Listing and Katie. Robert, thanks for hanging on. Welcome to
- 1:24:46Speaker 2: Chris X Radio.
- 1:24:48Speaker 33: Hey, Chris.
- 1:24:49Speaker 11: I just want to kind of.
- 1:24:53Speaker 10: You were just talking about the gas prices and things.
- 1:24:56Speaker 32: And I wish, you know, they keep putting this election
- 1:25:03Speaker 32: on Trump, on the economy, when, you know, he's not
- 1:25:07Speaker 32: on the ballot. And, you know, he says, pretend like
- 1:25:10Speaker 32: I'm on the ballot, you know. But I wish everybody
- 1:25:13Speaker 32: would help him out and say, well, you know, inflation
- 1:25:17Speaker 32: is cut down in half.
- 1:25:20Speaker 10: The gas prices are.
- 1:25:21Speaker 32: Not as high as they were when Biden, with no
- 1:25:26Speaker 32: saving the country.
- 1:25:27Speaker 11: From a nuclear bomb. You know, I just wish they
- 1:25:34Speaker 11: would bring more of that out.
- 1:25:36Speaker 32: You know, they talk about high gas prices and everything,
- 1:25:38Speaker 32: but they're not as high as they were.
- 1:25:40Speaker 10: So, I don't know.
- 1:25:44Speaker 32: And just to let you know, I did vote early,
- 1:25:46Speaker 32: and I did the right thing.
- 1:25:49Speaker 10: And I just can't believe that the polls say.
- 1:25:53Speaker 32: It's the way it is. I just find it so
- 1:25:56Speaker 32: hard to believe.
- 1:25:57Speaker 12: I just can't believe.
- 1:25:59Speaker 4: What's going on?
- 1:26:00Speaker 2: Robert, first of all, thanks for the call, and I'm
- 1:26:03Speaker 2: glad you got out and voted, and good information. That
- 1:26:05Speaker 2: has been brought up, and you're absolutely right. The gas
- 1:26:09Speaker 2: prices are not as high as they were back in
- 1:26:11Speaker 2: September or October of 2022, when it was the highest
- 1:26:14Speaker 2: it has ever been in the history of our country.
- 1:26:16Speaker 2: That has already been memory-hulled by the lamestream media, the
- 1:26:19Speaker 2: propaganda outlets of the Democrat cult. So there's that. But
- 1:26:23Speaker 2: then again, as Astru with a View said, I think
- 1:26:25Speaker 2: I believe he said it on the Amigos show, You know,
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: if you're running against, hey, it wasn't as high as
- 1:26:29Speaker 2: it was during Biden. Well, that's not a very good
- 1:26:31Speaker 2: campaign message. So there's that. So and it is too high.
- 1:26:35Speaker 2: But your point about inflation has been made, too. It
- 1:26:38Speaker 2: was nine percent under Joe Biden and it's now under
- 1:26:41Speaker 2: three percent. And it's gotten lower and it still bounces around.
- 1:26:45Speaker 2: But gas prices are still high. And the Democrats, once again,
- 1:26:49Speaker 2: will absolutely utilize anything they can. And they rally their
- 1:26:52Speaker 2: base by their Trump hatred. Their hatred for Donald Trump.
- 1:26:56Speaker 2: So they're happy to do that. The problem was, is
- 1:27:00Speaker 2: our Republicans... Weren't exactly thrilled about some of our candidates,
- 1:27:04Speaker 2: so the motivation was low. So you've got Trump out
- 1:27:06Speaker 2: there trying to motivate voters, and it seems to be working.
- 1:27:09Speaker 2: He seems to be doing well after a second rally
- 1:27:12Speaker 2: here in Texas yesterday, two in one day. Corpus Christi
- 1:27:15Speaker 2: in Lubbock, which was great. So they're starting to do it.
- 1:27:18Speaker 2: As far as the polls go, you shouldn't believe them.
- 1:27:22Speaker 2: We have no idea what validity the polls have. I
- 1:27:25Speaker 2: find it highly ironic that every single high-stakes election, every
- 1:27:30Speaker 2: high public election, all the big races, for some reason,
- 1:27:34Speaker 2: the Democrats are always leading every single time, and then
- 1:27:39Speaker 2: when it comes down and gets closer to Election Day,
- 1:27:41Speaker 2: it's always a dead heat going into Election Day, so
- 1:27:44Speaker 2: you'll watch the news and see who wins. I think
- 1:27:48Speaker 2: most of the polls are trash. Still quote them every
- 1:27:51Speaker 2: now and then. We'll look and see what they're saying.
- 1:27:53Speaker 2: But I think most of them are absolute trash. They
- 1:27:55Speaker 2: heavily weigh towards the Democrats always. But we saw what
- 1:27:59Speaker 2: happened in 2016. And this time in October of 2016,
- 1:28:03Speaker 2: they said chances of Donald Trump winning that election was
- 1:28:06Speaker 2: bound to zero. And he won. And then they tried
- 1:28:10Speaker 2: to pretend that the Russians had something to do with it.
- 1:28:13Speaker 2: And then, once again, you understand you're going against people
- 1:28:16Speaker 2: that are absolute dirtbags, and they will manipulate low-information voters,
- 1:28:21Speaker 2: and that's what this is about. Those are going to
- 1:28:23Speaker 2: be— I do believe the elections are actually close. The party
- 1:28:26Speaker 2: in power always gets hit. They're the ones— and the Trump administration,
- 1:28:31Speaker 2: of course, Republicans control the Senate and the House. They're
- 1:28:35Speaker 2: the ones that take the blame for everything. When Democrats
- 1:28:37Speaker 2: were in charge, the president has nothing to do with
- 1:28:39Speaker 2: gas prices. That's what they told us when Biden gave
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: us five dollar plus gallon of gas. When Barack Obama
- 1:28:48Speaker 2: had oil prices over $ 100 a barrel for twice as
- 1:28:52Speaker 2: long as anybody else, the president doesn't have anything to
- 1:28:56Speaker 2: do with it. But the moment Trump's in, now the
- 1:28:58Speaker 2: president has everything to do with it. In other words,
- 1:29:00Speaker 2: if they didn't have double standards, they'd have none at all.
- 1:29:04Speaker 2: This is all about power to them, winning elections. That's
- 1:29:07Speaker 2: all they care about. So that's the messaging you're going
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: to get from their propaganda outlets, which unfortunately are many.
- 1:29:13Speaker 2: All of the television networks, all of the news networks,
- 1:29:16Speaker 2: all of the Hollywood, all of academia, it is all
- 1:29:20Speaker 2: nothing but leftist. And they're always conspiring together to try
- 1:29:24Speaker 2: to eliminate Republican rule anywhere. It is amazing that Republicans
- 1:29:28Speaker 2: can compete at all in this environment. But not only
- 1:29:31Speaker 2: do they compete, they often win. And until elections are
- 1:29:35Speaker 2: said and done, we're not quite sure who's going to
- 1:29:38Speaker 2: win what. I don't know if Tallarico is going to
- 1:29:42Speaker 2: be able to beat Ken Paxton. I know he's not
- 1:29:44Speaker 2: the greatest candidate in the world, but my God, when
- 1:29:47Speaker 2: you've got idiot Republicans like Dade Phelan saying, I can't
- 1:29:51Speaker 2: support him because of the way he is. His ex-wife
- 1:29:54Speaker 2: is supporting him, you clown. But then again, these people
- 1:29:58Speaker 2: that you want to talk about rhinos, there's your rhinos
- 1:30:00Speaker 2: right there. Those guys have not helped in this election,
- 1:30:04Speaker 2: especially in the Tallarico-Paxton race, which led to a lot
- 1:30:07Speaker 2: of momentum for Tallarico. That momentum seems to have shifted
- 1:30:11Speaker 2: the opposite direction and is going down by the minute
- 1:30:14Speaker 2: while it's building for Paxton. If you build it just
- 1:30:17Speaker 2: right into Election Day, it may have already peaked. If
- 1:30:21Speaker 2: Tallarico's momentum peaked in the last week or so and
- 1:30:25Speaker 2: then Republicans turn out on Election Day, it could be
- 1:30:27Speaker 2: a real bad day for Democrats. If Republicans can't get
- 1:30:30Speaker 2: their messaging together and get their base out and vote
- 1:30:33Speaker 2: on Election Day, it's going to be a real bad
- 1:30:35Speaker 2: day for Republicans. Historically speaking, the Democrats should literally clean house.
- 1:30:41Speaker 2: They should take back the House and the Senate. It
- 1:30:43Speaker 2: almost always happens in these sort of midterms when the
- 1:30:46Speaker 2: other team is in charge. But they have put up
- 1:30:50Speaker 2: the most radical, insane candidates we have ever seen. And
- 1:30:55Speaker 2: unfortunately for them, we're paying attention, and so are a
- 1:30:59Speaker 2: lot of Americans. And we'll see how it ends up going.
- 1:31:01Speaker 2: Thanks for the call. All right, we'll take a short break.
- 1:31:03Speaker 2: We've got Toby. I like to call him Kunta Kinte.
- 1:31:06Speaker 2: Out in Katy. Hold on for me, Toby. We'll get
- 1:31:08Speaker 2: you on the other side. You're listening to Chris X Radio.
- 1:31:11Speaker 2: We'll be right back. We've only got two segments remaining.
- 1:31:13Speaker 2: So if you want to get in, you better hurry.
- 1:31:15Speaker 8: 281-558-7000.
- 1:31:17Speaker 2: KSCV 281-558-5738.
- 1:31:33Speaker 21: After a hard rain, you can see them. The water
- 1:31:36Speaker 21: stains on the ceiling or the dripping water from a
- 1:31:38Speaker 21: recessed light. Now you start to get nervous because you
- 1:31:41Speaker 21: know leaks can cause big problems.
- 1:31:44Speaker 20: Once the water enters the structure, the troubles start. Water
- 1:31:47Speaker 20: weakens rafters and beams over time. It soaks through drywall
- 1:31:50Speaker 20: and damages the insulation.
- 1:31:52Speaker 2: In your home.
- 1:31:53Speaker 21: And Roland, don't forget about mold. It grows fast in
- 1:31:56Speaker 21: our humidity and causes all kinds of health problems.
- 1:31:59Speaker 20: I'd really hate to see you spend thousands on expensive
- 1:32:01Speaker 20: structural or drywall repair or mold removal projects, especially when
- 1:32:05Speaker 20: we can fix those leaks quickly at Tejas Roofing.
- 1:32:09Speaker 21: And most of our leak repairs are under $ 500. This
- 1:32:12Speaker 21: is Deb and Roland Tejada from Tejas Roofing, your Houston

- 1:32:34Speaker 4: Mike Schofield, working for us.
- 1:32:36Speaker 9: I believe qualified students applying for good paying jobs after
- 1:32:39Speaker 9: graduation should have real opportunities. We dedicated over $ 150 million
- 1:32:45Speaker 9: to expand technical education programs across Texas. We need to
- 1:32:49Speaker 9: keep working to help our public school students and teachers.
- 1:32:52Speaker 9: I champion legislation that provides pay raises for public school librarians, counselors, nurses,
- 1:32:58Speaker 9: and teachers who take on harder teaching jobs. I'm Mike Schofield,
- 1:33:01Speaker 9: and I will always keep you and your family first.
- 1:33:05Speaker 9: As your state representative, I voted to protect our children
- 1:33:08Speaker 9: online by limiting what social media companies can expose your
- 1:33:12Speaker 9: kids to. We passed AI regulations, including banning behavioral manipulation,
- 1:33:17Speaker 9: social scoring, and deep fakes, preventing sexual predators and big
- 1:33:20Speaker 9: tech from preying on our innocent kids. It's important we
- 1:33:24Speaker 9: stay vigilant to protect our families and especially our kids
- 1:33:27Speaker 9: from the criminals that are lurking on the Internet. Early
- 1:33:30Speaker 9: voting is going on now. Paid political ad, Mike Schofield campaign.

- 1:34:31Speaker 6: we'll bring some clouds with a low of 64. On Friday,
- 1:34:34Speaker 6: anticipate mostly cloudy conditions with a passing shower and a
- 1:34:37Speaker 6: high of 78. Saturday will feature shifting clouds and sun
- 1:34:40Speaker 6: along with a couple of showers and a thunderstorm with
- 1:34:43Speaker 6: a high of 83. Finally, Sunday is expected to be
- 1:34:46Speaker 6: mostly cloudy with a high of 83. With the KSEV
- 1:34:49Speaker 6: Weather Center forecast, I'm AccuWeather Meteorologist Jason Catarina.
- 1:34:57Speaker 13: You can't stop him. You can only hope to contain him.
- 1:35:01Speaker 13: Chris X Radio.
- 1:35:02Speaker 25: You know.
- 1:35:14Speaker 2: It is a long way to the top if you're
- 1:35:15Speaker 2: going to rock and roll. I do know that. And
- 1:35:20Speaker 2: then what's sad is guys like Bon Scott. They take
- 1:35:22Speaker 2: that long road to the top and then they're on
- 1:35:24Speaker 2: the highway to hell. And they're dead. because they're crazy
- 1:35:29Speaker 2: drunk bastards. Welcome back to Chris X Radio. I'm the
- 1:35:34Speaker 2: aforementioned X-Man. Glad to have you here with us. If
- 1:35:37Speaker 2: you want to join us here, 281-558-KSCV, 281-558-5738. We'll go
- 1:35:43Speaker 2: ahead and go right back to the phones. We've only
- 1:35:45Speaker 2: got this segment and one more remaining, and then tomorrow
- 1:35:47Speaker 2: will be our Friday show on Thursday, so we'll have
- 1:35:50Speaker 2: all kinds of fun tomorrow, maybe. That'll be our final
- 1:35:53Speaker 2: show before the election. Oh, no, that's not true. I
- 1:35:56Speaker 2: guess we got Monday. So, but, but yeah, that's early voting.
- 1:36:02Speaker 2: It's going through this Friday and then election day is
- 1:36:04Speaker 2: on Tuesday and it looks like 80% chance of rain.
- 1:36:08Speaker 2: So if you don't early vote, that would kind of
- 1:36:13Speaker 2: suck to have to be stuck in the rain. So
- 1:36:15Speaker 2: I went ahead and early voted on Friday. I was
- 1:36:17Speaker 2: in and out in 10 minutes. I didn't have a
- 1:36:18Speaker 2: long line at all. But there was a lot more
- 1:36:20Speaker 2: cars in the parking lot than I've ever seen going
- 1:36:22Speaker 2: in early voting because usually you're in and out. All right, 281-558-KSEV.
- 1:36:28Speaker 2: Let's go to Toby listening in. Katie, I prefer to
- 1:36:30Speaker 2: call him Kunta Kinte. Hey, Toby, thanks for hanging out.
- 1:36:33Speaker 2: Welcome to Chris X Radio.
- 1:36:36Speaker 11: Hey, good afternoon, Chris X. How are you doing, man?
- 1:36:39Speaker 2: I'm good. How are you today, Toby?
- 1:36:41Speaker 11: Good, good. Hey, listen, I wanted to touch base with
- 1:36:44Speaker 11: you on Donny Iris. I have to correct you a
- 1:36:46Speaker 11: little bit. He was not a one-hit wonder. I can
- 1:36:50Speaker 11: think of three songs that he had that were top
- 1:36:53Speaker 11: 40 hits. He had one in the early 70s.
- 1:36:56Speaker 10: Called The Rapper.
- 1:36:57Speaker 11: He was with a band. I can't remember the name
- 1:36:58Speaker 11: of the band now. But it was an early 70s band,
- 1:37:02Speaker 11: and he was the lead vocalist on that song. You'll
- 1:37:04Speaker 11: probably know the song if you hear it. I'd look
- 1:37:07Speaker 11: it up on YouTube or something. But it was called
- 1:37:09Speaker 11: The Rapper. That was like the first thing that he
- 1:37:11Speaker 11: did that I remember. Then he did a song called
- 1:37:15Speaker 11: Love is Like a Rock. That was his other hit.
- 1:37:18Speaker 11: And then he did, of course, Ali.
- 1:37:19Speaker 2: That's a good song, too. Yeah, Ali was his big hit.
- 1:37:22Speaker 2: But you're right. Love is Like a Rock was a
- 1:37:24Speaker 2: pretty big hit, too. And I'd forgotten that he had
- 1:37:26Speaker 2: done that one. So you're right.
- 1:37:27Speaker 4: He's nowhere close to it.
- 1:37:29Speaker 2: Oh, he was with the Jaggers early on.
- 1:37:31Speaker 23: Yeah, the Jaggers.
- 1:37:32Speaker 10: That's right.
- 1:37:33Speaker 11: That's right. Yeah, you may remember that song if you
- 1:37:36Speaker 11: hear it, the rapper. Yeah, he had a few songs.
- 1:37:39Speaker 11: You know, it's funny. I didn't remember him in the 80s.
- 1:37:41Speaker 11: I didn't remember him as the guy that sang that song,
- 1:37:44Speaker 11: the rapper. But I looked him up, I guess, not
- 1:37:47Speaker 11: too long ago, and that song came up. I was like, oh, yeah,
- 1:37:50Speaker 11: I didn't know he did that. But, yeah, I mean,
- 1:37:53Speaker 11: that guy is really nerdy looking. He does not sound
- 1:37:55Speaker 11: like his voice, you know?
- 1:37:57Speaker 38: No.
- 1:37:57Speaker 11: If that makes any sense. He does not look like
- 1:38:00Speaker 11: his voice at all.
- 1:38:01Speaker 2: I hadn't seen him really until he passed away, and
- 1:38:04Speaker 2: I watched a video for Ali on YouTube, and you're right.
- 1:38:08Speaker 2: He was very nerdy looking, and when he was playing guitar,
- 1:38:10Speaker 2: he played it very nerdy, but man, he wrote good music,
- 1:38:13Speaker 2: and he was an excellent singer, but you're right. You
- 1:38:16Speaker 2: just never know. By the way, I got a trivia
- 1:38:20Speaker 2: question for you. Speaking of another singer who passed away,
- 1:38:23Speaker 2: Bon Scott, the original singer for ACDC, he was a
- 1:38:26Speaker 2: backup singer in a band before that has a hit
- 1:38:31Speaker 2: before he got an acdc do you know who they
- 1:38:33Speaker 2: were or what the hit was.
- 1:38:41Speaker 23: No, because I've got to be honest.
- 1:38:42Speaker 11: I'm not a huge– I mean, I like ACDC, but
- 1:38:45Speaker 11: I'm not a huge fan. You know what I mean?
- 1:38:46Speaker 11: I don't know all the details and everything.
- 1:38:48Speaker 10: But who was he with?
- 1:38:49Speaker 11: I'd be curious to know.
- 1:38:51Speaker 2: Well, he was with a band. It was– but before
- 1:38:54Speaker 2: I tell you the band, I'll tell you the song.
- 1:38:56Speaker 2: The song was, do you remember Build Me Up Buttercup?
- 1:38:59Speaker 2: You remember that song?
- 1:39:01Speaker 13: Oh, gosh.
- 1:39:01Speaker 11: He was with the– The Foundations.
- 1:39:04Speaker 4: The Foundations.
- 1:39:07Speaker 2: The Foundations.
- 1:39:09Speaker 11: Did they do the, oh, okay. I was thinking, all right, yeah, yeah.
- 1:39:13Speaker 43: Oh, really?
- 1:39:13Speaker 11: I didn't know that.
- 1:39:16Speaker 2: That song's been featured in multiple movies, but I remember
- 1:39:18Speaker 2: the first time seeing it featured in Modern Times was
- 1:39:21Speaker 2: something about Mary. But it's hilarious because Bon Scott was
- 1:39:25Speaker 2: the backup singer who does the echo, the main singer singing.
- 1:39:29Speaker 2: And then Bon Scott was the guy that sings what
- 1:39:31Speaker 2: he says right after doing the echo. So that was
- 1:39:34Speaker 2: the band that he was. So he had a hit
- 1:39:36Speaker 2: song before he was even in ACDC, which is crazy.
- 1:39:40Speaker 2: And then you look at him, it's like you don't
- 1:39:42Speaker 2: even hardly recognize him.
- 1:39:44Speaker 11: And that was quite a bit before ACDC too. So that's, that's,
- 1:39:47Speaker 11: I would have never guessed that. I would have never
- 1:39:49Speaker 11: known that was him in that.
- 1:39:51Speaker 2: Yeah. I think that was back in 1969. So you're right.
- 1:39:54Speaker 2: It was the ACDC. I don't think hit till the,
- 1:39:56Speaker 2: probably the early to mid seventies probably.
- 1:39:59Speaker 35: So, yeah.
- 1:40:00Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 1:40:01Speaker 2: But it was amazing to think that. And like I said,
- 1:40:03Speaker 2: guys like, you're right, and guys like Donny Iris, who
- 1:40:05Speaker 2: was actually in a band. A lot of people don't
- 1:40:07Speaker 2: realize that Ted Nugent was actually in a band, and
- 1:40:10Speaker 2: they had some songs. You remember what band Ted Nugent
- 1:40:12Speaker 2: was in before he was the big, crazy Motor City Madman?
- 1:40:17Speaker 11: You're going to tell me, and I'm going to know,
- 1:40:18Speaker 11: but I can't remember right off the top of my head.
- 1:40:20Speaker 2: It was the Amboy Dukes. He was the guitar player
- 1:40:23Speaker 2: for the Amboy Dukes.
- 1:40:25Speaker 11: Yeah, so.
- 1:40:25Speaker 2: Yeah, there you go. So, all right, that's it.
- 1:40:28Speaker 11: Now I'm going to.
- 1:40:28Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 1:40:30Speaker 11: That's some interesting stuff. You know, another thing that, you know, Mike,
- 1:40:33Speaker 11: you know, Michael McDonald from the Doobie Brothers is on
- 1:40:38Speaker 11: a ton of people's songs during the 70s. But back up,
- 1:40:41Speaker 11: like he was in Steely Dan songs. He sang back
- 1:40:46Speaker 11: up to Christopher Cross.
- 1:40:48Speaker 10: Yep.
- 1:40:48Speaker 11: Yeah, he's been he's he was he's been in a
- 1:40:52Speaker 11: lot of songs, you know, that really weren't Doobie Brothers songs, but.
- 1:40:59Speaker 5: It is.
- 1:40:59Speaker 2: And thanks for the call, Toby. Good to hear from you.
- 1:41:02Speaker 2: But no, you're right. And he was and he got big.
- 1:41:05Speaker 2: He exploded. Like I said, you talk about Michael McDonald,
- 1:41:09Speaker 2: especially with when he joined the Doobie Brothers. He was
- 1:41:12Speaker 2: not an original member. And he got involved with the
- 1:41:14Speaker 2: Doobie Brothers. But you're right. He was on some Steely
- 1:41:16Speaker 2: Dan stuff. And he was on Christopher Cross, which is funny.
- 1:41:20Speaker 2: Christopher Cross has that sailing, takes me away, has these
- 1:41:24Speaker 2: really light pop hits. But if you listen very closely
- 1:41:29Speaker 2: in some of those songs, you will hear that Christopher
- 1:41:31Speaker 2: Cross not only sang them, but was also a shredder
- 1:41:35Speaker 2: on guitar. He's an amazing guitar player. He's a pallidiot,
- 1:41:39Speaker 2: but he is an amazing guitar player. And he traveled,
- 1:41:42Speaker 2: he played a lot here in the Texas area back
- 1:41:45Speaker 2: in the 70s as well. But yeah, Michael McDonald was
- 1:41:47Speaker 2: involved with him. People forget Kenny Loggins, the song, I'm
- 1:41:52Speaker 2: all right, I'm all right. Great song. The backup vocalist
- 1:41:56Speaker 2: on that is none other than one Eddie Money. It's like,
- 1:41:58Speaker 2: what are you talking about? And then soon as you
- 1:42:01Speaker 2: realize it, you go, you can't unhear it. And then
- 1:42:05Speaker 2: you can go down the rabbit hole of, songs that
- 1:42:07Speaker 2: have mistakes that they kept in the song that once
- 1:42:10Speaker 2: you've heard a million times, you think it's just, it's
- 1:42:12Speaker 2: naturally part of the song, but there's a mistake and
- 1:42:15Speaker 2: I'm all right. There's that part where it goes, I'm
- 1:42:18Speaker 2: all or whatever. He says, nobody, I'm dead. That's a mistake.
- 1:42:25Speaker 2: They accidentally came in too soon, stopped, finished the does
- 1:42:30Speaker 2: and it sounded so cool. They kept it. Speaking of
- 1:42:33Speaker 2: Steely Dan, they had a song called The Logical Song.
- 1:42:37Speaker 2: Great song. Towards the end of the song, you can
- 1:42:42Speaker 2: hear the effect from an old Mattel electronics football game.
- 1:42:47Speaker 2: It made that little noise. That is in that song.
- 1:42:51Speaker 2: It's out of nowhere for no reason. It's just, you know,
- 1:42:54Speaker 2: there's a little whistle going off, different stuff. And I
- 1:42:57Speaker 2: saw an interview, and they talked about why that ended
- 1:43:00Speaker 2: up in the song, because during breaks while they were recording,
- 1:43:04Speaker 2: they were playing that Mattel game, and apparently it went
- 1:43:07Speaker 2: off at exactly the same point in the song two
- 1:43:09Speaker 2: or three times. And then after, when they were mixing
- 1:43:13Speaker 2: the song down, it wasn't there, and the song sounded empty.
- 1:43:16Speaker 2: And so we got to put that in the song.
- 1:43:17Speaker 2: So they did. It's amazing. And then my favorite is,
- 1:43:21Speaker 2: one of my favorite mistakes is the keyboard solo in
- 1:43:24Speaker 2: All of My Love by Led Zeppelin. And people are like,
- 1:43:27Speaker 2: that's not a mistake. It is absolutely 100% a mistake.
- 1:43:32Speaker 2: If you listen, there's a portion of the solo where
- 1:43:35Speaker 2: it's John Paul Jones playing the keyboard. He hits two
- 1:43:37Speaker 2: keys at the same time right next to each other.
- 1:43:41Speaker 2: And it has a very dissonant sound. It is not correct.
- 1:43:44Speaker 2: It doesn't sound right. But you don't notice it because
- 1:43:47Speaker 2: the rest of the song is a masterpiece. And there's
- 1:43:50Speaker 2: some other stuff Led Zeppelin did too that are on
- 1:43:53Speaker 2: their albums. And basically when CDs came about and you
- 1:43:56Speaker 2: could really hear the songs better than you've ever been
- 1:43:59Speaker 2: able to, the digital versions, then you can hear little
- 1:44:02Speaker 2: mistakes and things in these songs, which is kind of amazing.
- 1:44:06Speaker 2: And I'm full of that kind of stupid history. Ted
- 1:44:10Speaker 2: Nugent and the Amboy Dukes. You go watch them, you
- 1:44:12Speaker 2: can see Ted Nugent is a rocket ship waiting to
- 1:44:16Speaker 2: take off when he was in that band. He was
- 1:44:18Speaker 2: very young. But he was one of those guys that
- 1:44:22Speaker 2: you watch him and you just go, this guy's David
- 1:44:24Speaker 2: Lee Roth and Eddie Van Halen in one package. And
- 1:44:28Speaker 2: he's in this band. He's going somewhere. Same with the police,
- 1:44:31Speaker 2: how they saw with Sting. They knew Sting was going
- 1:44:34Speaker 2: to outgrow them in an instant. Somebody was in Wild
- 1:44:39Speaker 2: Cherry who just recently passed away. Can't remember who it was.
- 1:44:43Speaker 2: I don't think it was Donny Iris. I'll look that up.
- 1:44:46Speaker 2: I didn't realize the guy was in Wild Cherry. All right, 281-558-KSV.
- 1:44:49Speaker 2: We'll come back, wrap up this hour, and then turn
- 1:44:52Speaker 2: it over to Joey Pags.
- 1:44:53Speaker 4: We'll be right back. Chris X Radio Radio.
- 1:45:05Speaker 44: This is Senator Paul Betancourt asking for your vote for

- 1:45:15Speaker 44: businessman and engineer who gets the job done in Austin.
- 1:45:18Speaker 44: Vote for Dennis Paul.
- 1:45:20Speaker 2: Thanks, Paul.
- 1:45:21Speaker 5: We'll fight to cut property taxes, lower insurance costs, and

- 1:45:51Speaker 30: It's Kathy from Baker Mortgage. You know, with all the
- 1:45:53Speaker 30: scary stuff we've been through, it's still true that timing
- 1:45:56Speaker 30: is everything and the time to buy is now. But
- 1:45:59Speaker 30: don't go looking without a solid pre-approval in hand. And
- 1:46:02Speaker 30: this includes an application and a detailed discussion about property taxes.
- 1:46:07Speaker 30: If you didn't have the talk... You know, about property taxes,
- 1:46:10Speaker 30: you really don't know what you're pre-approved for. That should
- 1:46:13Speaker 30: make you wonder what else they may have left out.
- 1:46:15Speaker 30: Mortgages are personal. Let's face it, we're dealing with your
- 1:46:18Speaker 30: home and your money, and it doesn't get much more
- 1:46:21Speaker 30: personal than that. When it's the largest transaction that most
- 1:46:24Speaker 30: people will ever be involved in, imagine having someone on
- 1:46:27Speaker 30: your side looking out after you. What a concept. We

- 1:46:51Speaker 27: Harris County just passed one of the highest property tax
- 1:46:53Speaker 27: increases in history.
- 1:46:55Speaker 2: Hi, this is Steve Drake.
- 1:46:56Speaker 27: I've spent over 20 years on KSCV talking about being
- 1:46:59Speaker 27: financially responsible. That's why I'm supporting Orlando Sanchez for county judge.
- 1:47:03Speaker 27: On Houston City Council, he was involved in cutting taxes
- 1:47:06Speaker 27: for the first time in decades. As county treasurer for
- 1:47:09Speaker 27: 12 years, he balanced the books and protected taxpayers. Orlando
- 1:47:12Speaker 27: Sanchez is a friend of mine. Be financially responsible. Vote
- 1:47:15Speaker 27: for Orlando Sanchez for Harris County judge.
- 1:47:18Speaker 29: Political ad paid for by the Orlando Sanchez campaign.

- 1:48:05Speaker 43: of the Houston Texans.
- 1:48:07Speaker 4: And now, back to Chris X Radio on The Voice
- 1:48:10Speaker 4: of Texas.
- 1:48:16Speaker 2: Okay, Cash, I don't know how you did it, but
- 1:48:19Speaker 2: you did.
- 1:48:20Speaker 35: Did.
- 1:48:20Speaker 2: You ended the segment with Wild Cherry, play that funky music,
- 1:48:23Speaker 2: white boy. And even though I said I don't think
- 1:48:26Speaker 2: it was, no, Donnie Iris was also a member of
- 1:48:28Speaker 2: Wild Cherry who had a big hit called Play That
- 1:48:31Speaker 2: Funky Music. And Cash, how did you do that? How
- 1:48:36Speaker 2: did you, did you set that up for us? Did
- 1:48:37Speaker 2: you even know?
- 1:48:38Speaker 7: Just practicing my space magic.
- 1:48:40Speaker 2: Man, you and your space magic. I still can't believe
- 1:48:44Speaker 2: you're leaving us at the end of this week to
- 1:48:46Speaker 2: go live on a moon base. Do some kind of
- 1:48:50Speaker 2: NASA work or something. Still think you're going to be
- 1:48:53Speaker 2: taking that SpaceX rocket up there. So anyway, so we
- 1:48:58Speaker 2: were talking about Donnie. So there you go, Toby. So
- 1:49:01Speaker 2: Donnie Iris was also in Wild Cherry. Wild Cherry. because
- 1:49:07Speaker 2: I knew I had read it and I was like,
- 1:49:08Speaker 2: I don't think it was him. It was 70s and 80s,
- 1:49:15Speaker 2: which is amazing because that was 40, 50 years ago
- 1:49:17Speaker 2: and he just passed away. Start talking about Bon Scott, man.
- 1:49:20Speaker 2: That guy's been dead for 40, 50 years. It's amazing.
- 1:49:24Speaker 2: And then the fact that ACDC went on and had
- 1:49:26Speaker 2: a big, huge career with uh what's named brian johnson
- 1:49:30Speaker 2: is the singer far more successful than originally with mon
- 1:49:34Speaker 2: scott and what's weird is a brian johnson's voice is
- 1:49:37Speaker 2: trash now because he just screams but early on it
- 1:49:40Speaker 2: was pretty cool he was a singer singers of bands
- 1:49:43Speaker 2: before you go watch his him performing and listen to
- 1:49:46Speaker 2: him sing before he joined acdc and that guy had
- 1:49:49Speaker 2: an amazing voice and he basically ruined it which I
- 1:49:54Speaker 2: guess nothing lasts forever. All right, let's go to Don
- 1:49:56Speaker 2: out in Point Blake here before we run out of time. Don,
- 1:49:58Speaker 2: thank you for hanging on. Welcome to Chris X Radio.
- 1:50:02Speaker 10: Well, I won't be listening to the Amigos this week
- 1:50:08Speaker 10: because I don't want to hear El Senador constantly going,
- 1:50:13Speaker 10: wheeze over Houston.
- 1:50:18Speaker 2: Well, they're going to be at Wings Over Houston, so
- 1:50:20Speaker 2: I don't know if he's going to, does he normally
- 1:50:22Speaker 2: do that when they're there live?
- 1:50:23Speaker 10: Oh, well, on Friday on the show or whenever they
- 1:50:29Speaker 10: advertise Wings Over Houston. I mean, that's a great show.
- 1:50:34Speaker 10: I mean, I love, I haven't been to that Airplane
- 1:50:43Speaker 10: Air show before, but I've seen the Thunderbirds and the
- 1:50:50Speaker 10: Blue Angels when I worked up in Fort Worth, the
- 1:50:53Speaker 10: General Dynamics. They're great.
- 1:50:57Speaker 4: Yeah, you've seen.
- 1:50:57Speaker 10: Something like it.
- 1:50:59Speaker 2: It's a pretty impressive show, to say the least. And
- 1:51:00Speaker 2: you're right, keep forgetting, it's this weekend, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
- 1:51:04Speaker 10: Oh, is it also Friday? Well, I guess maybe he
- 1:51:08Speaker 10: does it from there, but he certainly likes to say
- 1:51:11Speaker 10: that Wings over Houston.
- 1:51:13Speaker 2: No, I do believe that they're broadcasting their show live
- 1:51:16Speaker 2: from the, what is it, the Lone Star Flight Museum
- 1:51:20Speaker 2: on Friday. So they'll be there live this Friday. So
- 1:51:23Speaker 2: I don't know if he does it when they're there,
- 1:51:25Speaker 2: but they may be on.
- 1:51:26Speaker 38: Yeah.
- 1:51:27Speaker 2: But they'll absolutely. That sounds vaguely familiar when you say that.
- 1:51:31Speaker 2: So anyway, we're almost out of time. What did you
- 1:51:34Speaker 2: want to talk about before we go, Don?
- 1:51:37Speaker 10: Oh, I wanted to add a couple of things. Minutes ago,
- 1:51:43Speaker 10: the guy was talking about quoting the Bible and comparing
- 1:51:47Speaker 10: it to what Tyler Rico has said, like being God
- 1:51:52Speaker 10: made male and female, two genders, and, you know, praying
- 1:51:58Speaker 10: our Father who art in heaven. Just contrasting, well, I
- 1:52:02Speaker 10: did that on MSN on the Internet. did about exactly
- 1:52:07Speaker 10: the same thing, and they immediately said that that did
- 1:52:11Speaker 10: not meet community standards. So I guess the Bible does
- 1:52:15Speaker 10: not meet community standards on MSN.
- 1:52:18Speaker 2: Yeah, that's kind of shocking that old Jamesy boy, old Oh,
- 1:52:24Speaker 2: James did, and he's utilizing the Bible for his own
- 1:52:28Speaker 2: personal and political goals. Thanks for the call, Don. We're
- 1:52:31Speaker 2: out of time, so we'll wrap things up. Yeah, well,
- 1:52:34Speaker 2: there was a dude called God non-binary. I'm like, why
- 1:52:36Speaker 2: would you refer to someone as our father? And I
- 1:52:40Speaker 2: know God's not a human being. We get all that,
- 1:52:42Speaker 2: but still, maybe I.
- 1:52:47Speaker 2: Every quote that he does from the Bible is basically
- 1:52:50Speaker 2: a perversion of it in order to make it fit
- 1:52:53Speaker 2: woke standards because that's what leftist dirtbags do. And James
- 1:52:57Speaker 2: Tallarico is a leftist jerkbag. He's a jerk. He pretends
- 1:53:02Speaker 2: to be a sweet little Christian altar boy because that's
- 1:53:05Speaker 2: how he looks, but he's a trans-fascinated, a trans-obsessed, drag
- 1:53:10Speaker 2: queen-loving weirdo. And then he tries to hide all of
- 1:53:15Speaker 2: that in his radical views on abortion. He tries to
- 1:53:18Speaker 2: cloak all that in biblical scripture. And it doesn't equate
- 1:53:21Speaker 2: unless you're someone that can redefine everything to mean exactly
- 1:53:25Speaker 2: what you want. And that's what he does, which is
- 1:53:27Speaker 2: why some people call him a heretic. All right, gang,
- 1:53:30Speaker 2: be safe. We'll see you tomorrow for our Friday show
- 1:53:32Speaker 2: on Thursday.
