Latest / Brandon Fogal Evolution / #204 - Piers Morgan vs. Nick Fuentes: Who Came Out on Top?
Transcript
- 0:00Nick Fuentes sat down with Piers Morgan yesterday. It was released.
- 0:05It was actually just live.
- 0:06I think that that got pushed because of Nick Fuentes' influence and what he
- 0:12said coming up to the show.
- 0:13He said, I hope it would be live because he thought Piers was going to do it,
- 0:17and then it would be released later, and who knows what would happen.
- 0:21But Piers, like, very good journalist. He pressed Nick in a lot of different
- 0:26ways, and I just wanted to say a few short things about this because it was explosive.
- 0:31I think everybody knew it was going to be explosive.
- 0:34There were so many things that we learned from it. It was an interview that
- 0:38I would say that is unlike anyone that Nick has experienced up until this point
- 0:43because it was extremely mainstream and he was asked and pressed on so many
- 0:49things that he has said and he is on the record.
- 0:53I know we say on the record, but it's like sometimes Nick has been so off the
- 0:57reservation because he's been so blacklisted from everybody.
- 1:01It seems weird to say anything's on the record that he's done because everything
- 1:05that he's set up until this point, it's been on his own thing.
- 1:09He's been deplatformed from so many different platforms that are out there,
- 1:13and now he's just coming to light.
- 1:15So he's on the record, I guess, because you can pull footage from everything,
- 1:19and that was what Pierce did through the whole interview. It was pretty much clip after clip.
- 1:24The thing that Ben Shapiro did a few, maybe
- 1:27a month or so back where he just did and he gave his he just lit it up and just
- 1:32showed everything that nick has said and just everything that's been the most
- 1:36provocative things because they're all clipped and i am i where i'm at on this
- 1:41it's just it's it's a struggle because i see i see nick as an entertainer i i think he has a lot of.
- 1:47He says a lot of the things that you're thinking about, but nobody actually has the balls to say.
- 1:52Nick says it, and he goes live for so long that, of course, you can clip anything
- 1:58and make him look insane. And I think that that's what they have done.
- 2:03And Pierce did it. He had the role going over and over, one clip after the next,
- 2:08and he let Nick explain it, what he means about it.
- 2:12And everything that Nick said, I think he doubled down. He, and which I, I actually, I admire.
- 2:19I think that that, but there are things that are jokes that are,
- 2:23there are jokes that he says.
- 2:25And I think people get that. And when you're just streaming in a room by yourself
- 2:29and you're just going for hours, he says crazy things.
- 2:33He has said crazy things, but he, he's making it light. He's making it funny
- 2:37when he's serious. He's serious.
- 2:38I don't want to be like, I'm not a person that is just going to be an apologist
- 2:41for Nick Fuentes, but he's.
- 2:44He is, he is, what, what drives me the most insane is how people can't,
- 2:50don't feel like they can say what they want.
- 2:52And he has taken it to the extreme almost to swing that pendulum back,
- 2:57maybe align it more so that people can, we get out of this, just cancel culture
- 3:03out of this political correctness bullshit that we are always in.
- 3:07That we're always finding something wherever you're at, because you feel like
- 3:10you can't say what you really think.
- 3:12I think if you're not doing it with cruelty and not doing it with hatred in
- 3:16your heart and you're just you're saying what you think. And I think people
- 3:18are OK to do that. You can.
- 3:20And Nick has done that to the most extreme.
- 3:23And I admire him for that. But I would also say I don't agree with a lot of the things that he says.
- 3:29I don't agree with a lot of the things that he says, but he's so funny and he's so entertaining.
- 3:35He is the like the epitome of entertainment entertainment now.
- 3:38And if you watch the debate or the conversation that they had,
- 3:43Piers, he had just this posture where he was very, he did not want to change his demeanor.
- 3:49He did not want to change almost his face the whole time.
- 3:51It was almost, it looked like disgust with everything that he talked to him about.
- 3:56He didn't like open it up. It was so, it definitely wasn't a conversation of really to get to it.
- 4:01But I get the point that he wanted to really drive at who Nick Fuentes really
- 4:07is. who he really is, and he wanted to hammer that home. He didn't want to get off of that drum.
- 4:12He wanted to pound it till it was a dead horse, you know, dead horse walking or dying in front of us.
- 4:18He did not want to let it live. He did not want to let it breathe and come to light.
- 4:22What is, which I think misses the whole point. Misses the whole point.
- 4:26If you're just on guard and you feel like you just don't want to be.
- 4:30You don't, he didn't want to just ease into this kind of this posture of just,
- 4:34oh, you're cool. I'm cool. You know, let's just get along.
- 4:37He wanted to be the journalist, but it was gotcha all the time, the whole thing.
- 4:41It was all about catching him. And I think Nick was a lot more loose.
- 4:45Nick was loose throughout the whole conversation.
- 4:48There were, when, when it got brought up about his father, you could see that
- 4:54almost that it had been turned when Nick, when he brought up Tucker's father
- 4:57and Tucker did not like that at all.
- 4:59We saw the reaction of what it feels like to be your, have your father talked
- 5:04about or anyone that you love really, but specifically your father.
- 5:08And, and Nick did not want to go down that road. And he was immediately,
- 5:11you could see just everything just stuck up.
- 5:13And he, I, he gotten, that is the one thing that threw him into defensive mode
- 5:19when he, when that was brought off.
- 5:20And when Nick or when Pierce kept pressing him about it and kept saying it because,
- 5:26well, you've thrown it out there on the public domain.
- 5:29Why can't I talk about it? And I think Nick, he just said, take my father out
- 5:35of it. Don't bring him up.
- 5:37Maybe that was just why Tucker was so pissed off about it when his father got
- 5:42brought up, which anybody was.
- 5:44If you do anything like that, say about somebody who they love,
- 5:48you're going to be not who you really are.
- 5:51You're not going to be, say what is maybe what you've thought through.
- 5:54You're not going to be thinking clearly. And I think Piers got him and he like
- 5:58the tabloid journalist that he came from and what he is, you know,
- 6:02he is he is amazing at sparking controversy.
- 6:06So I think everybody understands that. And he knew how to get under Nick's skin
- 6:11and he got under it in that in that part.
- 6:14And but I think that was the only thing that got under him.
- 6:17But everything else, I think, overall, I think Piers did a good job.
- 6:21He didn't change his viewpoint, didn't change his stance.
- 6:24He wanted to prove the thing that he already believed. So I don't think he came
- 6:29into it with an open mind.
- 6:30He had Nick in his bubble, in his box, that he didn't want to,
- 6:34he wanted to paint him as the portrait that Piers already had in his heart and not in his mind.
- 6:41And, like, I'm going to say this, and I know this pisses people that hate Nick
- 6:46Fuentes. He says, if you don't like him and you don't have an open mind,
- 6:49I mean, just to hearing him out, you know, you think he says detestable things.
- 6:54Okay, everybody has things in their heart that they're afraid to say.
- 6:59Like I said, he takes it maybe too far at times, but almost I'm thinking he
- 7:05is swinging that pendulum back overall.
- 7:07But I mean, that's just, there are so many things that they got into.
- 7:10He pressed him on pretty much every issue that Nick has brought up, the main ones.
- 7:15But Piers didn't change his stance. He didn't move at all closer to him.
- 7:19He just wanted to, like I said, paint him in the portrait that he already had
- 7:23in his mind of Nick Fuentes.
- 7:25But it was a good interview. I think we saw a little bit more.
- 7:28We saw something, a different side of Nick than we've seen before.
- 7:31But nothing really new. Nothing really new. It was pretty much everything that we already knew.
- 7:37All right. We'll leave it at that. smash that like button. Follow me on X and
