- 1:59Speaker 1: We win so radically in our Oh my god, Emily Verbatim.
- 2:05Speaker 4: We went so radically in our underwear before I first
- 2:08Speaker 4: got this is with him and his his angels.
- 2:11Speaker 3: Yes, no, goddesses, goddesses, gods.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Uh. Deanna, you're looking like a goddess, always looking gorgeous.
- 2:19Speaker 1: How you doing?
- 2:20Speaker 5: Oh right back at you too, I'm doing good, yeah, Charlie.
- 2:23Speaker 5: So you know, there's a lot happening, and it's a
- 2:28Speaker 5: time to reflect. It's a time to think about like
- 2:31Speaker 5: what we've been through as women in our lives.
- 2:33Speaker 6: Like this is the guy?
- 2:34Speaker 2: Do you know what I mean?
- 2:35Speaker 5: Like, as you're watching this, you're just like wow, the
- 2:38Speaker 5: messaging we got wow.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Yeah wow.
- 2:42Speaker 4: And I was talking to Darling Eliza Roseen, and she
- 2:47Speaker 4: was like, I think that I could have used some
- 2:50Speaker 4: more episodes in this. And I agree in the sense that,
- 2:53Speaker 4: like I needed some of the crazy shit he did,
- 2:57Speaker 4: especially like to Denise et cetera. I needed more lights
- 3:02Speaker 4: on that, and I you know what I mean, that's
- 3:05Speaker 4: I agree that we needed a little bit more exposure.
- 3:08Speaker 2: On something on that.
- 3:10Speaker 6: Yeah, I needed a little light on did you shoot
- 3:13Speaker 6: Kelly Preston? Like, yeah, what happened there?
- 3:17Speaker 4: Right?
- 3:18Speaker 3: Yeah? What's up with that? There were some holes?
- 3:22Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean there was every time there was something
- 3:26Speaker 4: really bad that he did, I.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Didn't get any further information.
- 3:31Speaker 4: It was mentioned, and then I'm pausing and googling and
- 3:35Speaker 4: going down in old clips and clippings of newspapers and trying.
- 3:42Speaker 2: I'm doing my own documentary on.
- 3:43Speaker 5: The sidereunching the clock and get in there, you know.
- 3:49Speaker 1: So, yeah, we want our own answers, like this is
- 3:51Speaker 1: the companion piece basically to that documentary.
- 3:55Speaker 4: Yeah, and apparently with the Kelly Preston thing, which I
- 3:59Speaker 4: didn't even know.
- 4:00Speaker 2: I didn't even know about.
- 4:02Speaker 4: This, Yeah, she was according to both of them, she
- 4:08Speaker 4: was cleaning out. He had a gun in his pocket
- 4:10Speaker 4: and she was in the bathroom and it fell out
- 4:14Speaker 4: of the pocket when she picked up his pants and
- 4:16Speaker 4: the gun went off and the shrapnel from the toilet
- 4:20Speaker 4: cut her so bad that she needed stitches.
- 4:24Speaker 1: So we know he paid off everybody, So it's hard
- 4:28Speaker 1: to believe quite much. And clearly he's going to be
- 4:31Speaker 1: covering his bases. He's going to show us whatever hand
- 4:34Speaker 1: he wants to. I mean, he's the executive producer of
- 4:36Speaker 1: this documentary, which I think was extremely well done.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Fun, It was fun.
- 4:44Speaker 2: I think it was very biased.
- 4:47Speaker 3: What do YOUNA?
- 4:49Speaker 2: Well?
- 4:49Speaker 5: I was just it's fun because the way they used
- 4:53Speaker 5: all the footage to that unbelieve highlight the moments, that
- 4:57Speaker 5: was really cool and really well done. Yes, and and
- 5:02Speaker 5: because he's such a comical character in our minds at
- 5:06Speaker 5: this point, it like really worked.
- 5:09Speaker 6: I thought, you know, he's such a.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Well the otherworldly and as Sean Penn would say, having
- 5:20Speaker 1: a different chemistry than all of us, which is completely true.
- 5:24Speaker 1: But the whole idea of him that there is so
- 5:27Speaker 1: much footage between his work, his body of work, and
- 5:31Speaker 1: his father's body of work and say Emilio's body of work,
- 5:36Speaker 1: that it completely told every single part of his story
- 5:41Speaker 1: for the most part, right, I mean.
- 5:44Speaker 2: No, that's what I mean.
- 5:47Speaker 3: I mean, like a lot of it.
- 5:49Speaker 4: As soon as the devil's on his shoulder, we get
- 5:52Speaker 4: an edit, we get the fastest edit of all time.
- 5:56Speaker 2: How many times did your cargo over the canyon? What
- 6:00Speaker 2: was that?
- 6:01Speaker 1: I mean? I love that John Cryer's like Anyboddy, I'm
- 6:06Speaker 1: just trying to work, you know. John Cryer opening up
- 6:09Speaker 1: this I thought was a great way to start it
- 6:12Speaker 1: with his right, I mean, I thought that he was like,
- 6:14Speaker 1: I'm not here to like give him what he said exactly.
- 6:17Speaker 1: I'm not here to excuse his behavior, and I'm not
- 6:19Speaker 1: here to uplift him. I'm just simply here to say, Wow,
- 6:23Speaker 1: what a guy.
- 6:24Speaker 4: And I read after the fact that Charlie she Never
- 6:28Speaker 4: had not talked to him about any of this, and
- 6:30Speaker 4: that he was actually very grateful for John Cryer's take
- 6:33Speaker 4: on him, because he said it was like hearing like
- 6:38Speaker 4: a very thoughtful therapist analysis of Charlie Sheen. He was like,
- 6:43Speaker 4: it was like such a light bulb to watch Crier
- 6:45Speaker 4: in the documentary talking about him.
- 6:47Speaker 2: So I thought that was I liked this documentary.
- 6:50Speaker 4: I just know that I was like, I respect that
- 6:54Speaker 4: he was willing to give us the broad strokes of
- 6:57Speaker 4: the shit in terms of like maybe there was some
- 7:01Speaker 4: legal ramifications for him, but like in I do think
- 7:06Speaker 4: I could have used some.
- 7:07Speaker 6: More Oh sure, one hundred thousand percent.
- 7:11Speaker 5: Like you're dealing with an addict who is at the
- 7:16Speaker 5: top of his game. In terms of what an addict
- 7:18Speaker 5: can be. It's like boom, like wow, you know, and
- 7:22Speaker 5: so half of it is going and that's why it
- 7:26Speaker 5: is super important to have other people talk. And quite frankly,
- 7:31Speaker 5: John Cryer didn't say anything crazy. He just got some
- 7:34Speaker 5: stuff off his chest, you know, but he had some
- 7:39Speaker 5: things to just like he's been waiting for this. Yeah,
- 7:45Speaker 5: but nobody went in, including Denise, like no one in it.
- 7:50Speaker 5: Maybe they did to your point, Emily, and it didn't
- 7:52Speaker 5: make it in to the film, But it's like he's
- 7:55Speaker 5: still being protected by the machine, right ultimately.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Yeah, because he wants to tell a story, and in
- 8:01Speaker 1: order for him to tell his story on his terms,
- 8:04Speaker 1: he'll have to get people that he knows will protect
- 8:08Speaker 1: him on some level. So and we knew that him
- 8:11Speaker 1: and Denise have a fairly good communicative relationship at this point.
- 8:18Speaker 1: We know that he and Brooke also do, and that's concerning.
- 8:24Speaker 1: I mean, I was concerned for her during this whole documentary.
- 8:26Speaker 1: I was like, this is I mean, were you seeing
- 8:29Speaker 1: what I was seeing? Like the slurred words and very
- 8:32Speaker 1: I'm very concerned about her.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Well, I mean Dirty Dancing.
- 8:38Speaker 4: I mean, I don't know where to quite start where
- 8:40Speaker 4: she fell in love with Charlie Sheen when because of
- 8:43Speaker 4: Dirty Dancing, but because you know, there's really just one
- 8:48Speaker 4: dude in that movie and it's not Charlie Sheen. But
- 8:52Speaker 4: I'm shocking, but I'm willing to give her the benefit
- 8:58Speaker 4: of the doubt that she did as many drugs Charlie Sheen,
- 9:01Speaker 4: and we see that on it. With a normal person,
- 9:04Speaker 4: sometimes it just fries your brain and there's not really
- 9:07Speaker 4: coming back from that.
- 9:08Speaker 2: So I kind of wonder if she's.
- 9:10Speaker 5: In that that's actually very possible. Yes, quick quick adjustment.
- 9:15Speaker 5: I think it's Perasbueler's day off.
- 9:18Speaker 2: Absolutely it is.
- 9:19Speaker 1: It is, Yes, But she was getting Dirty Dancing, Yeah,
- 9:22Speaker 1: because Jennifer Dray was Okay.
- 9:25Speaker 5: Wait, I thought, I was like, I don't remember him
- 9:28Speaker 5: in Dirty Dancing, and I'm going to the whole movie
- 9:31Speaker 5: like I'm going I'm in the Catskills I'm like, I'm
- 9:35Speaker 5: like trying to find Charlie.
- 9:37Speaker 6: Yeah, You're okay, I got it. Sorry, I just had
- 9:41Speaker 6: to like Charlie.
- 9:42Speaker 3: The cat's skills, got it.
- 9:44Speaker 1: Unless there's someone up there that I can give him
- 9:45Speaker 1: a tennis ball size.
- 9:47Speaker 5: Yeah, I was like, I was in the banquet hall
- 9:51Speaker 5: looking at the couples.
- 9:52Speaker 6: I'm like, I was he in the Talent Show, you know?
- 9:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, look, Brook gets her Jennifer Gray movies
- 10:00Speaker 1: confused because she's a huge Jennifer Gray diehard fan.
- 10:04Speaker 5: No.
- 10:04Speaker 1: Actually, I had the fairest Bueller's Day off Jennifer Gray story.
- 10:09Speaker 1: I loved that story. I mean that really was the
- 10:12Speaker 1: beginning of his career. And I didn't realize that. I mean,
- 10:15Speaker 1: I don't know if you guys did, but I think
- 10:17Speaker 1: it was that, you know, all we all felt the
- 10:19Speaker 1: pain of him being very excited about this role, on
- 10:22Speaker 1: him going down there and John Hughes being like, yeah,
- 10:24Speaker 1: you look great, show up tomorrow, and then him being
- 10:26Speaker 1: like just five more minutes and oh, just the panic
- 10:31Speaker 1: inside of me. And I'm sure anyone watching this like
- 10:34Speaker 1: the opportunity and that the snooze button and then getting
- 10:38Speaker 1: down there and getting read the ride act by Jennifer Gray,
- 10:40Speaker 1: thank god, But that John Hughes when he walked on
- 10:43Speaker 1: set was like, so glad you're here. I thought, Wow,
- 10:46Speaker 1: this is an outstanding human being that is unlike what
- 10:50Speaker 1: we hear about in Hollywood. And I wondered if it
- 10:53Speaker 1: was because he was well, I was just gonna say.
- 10:56Speaker 1: I wondered if it was because Martin Sheen is his father.
- 11:00Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure it could be.
- 11:02Speaker 6: He also could have really liked the look.
- 11:04Speaker 5: And you know, call times can be flawed, you know
- 11:06Speaker 5: what I mean, like it may not have a cotton
- 11:09Speaker 5: day and its just like, oh yeah, it looks great.
- 11:12Speaker 5: I've had him on my mind like whatever he's laid,
- 11:15Speaker 5: who cares, you know, you know who knows, but who knows?
- 11:19Speaker 5: But he is we I did kind of like throughout
- 11:22Speaker 5: the thing, I'm like, oh, you're just You're just one
- 11:25Speaker 5: of us, which is like, I mean, I say this
- 11:28Speaker 5: with love, but like, you know, a lame actor. And
- 11:31Speaker 5: I mean that being like you're just.
- 11:34Speaker 3: In trying to get that break, trying to get that.
- 11:37Speaker 5: Break, and you want all the things that actors want.
- 11:42Speaker 5: It's not you know, do you know what I yes?
- 11:45Speaker 5: And I want to say that that Ferris Bule.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Seeing that Ferris Bueller scene again was really a great
- 11:52Speaker 1: It's such.
- 11:53Speaker 3: A great scene.
- 11:53Speaker 1: And I do remember the first time I was like, Wow,
- 11:55Speaker 1: that guy is captivating. He really stole the show. I mean,
- 12:01Speaker 1: it's just his presence. It's unexplainable. I mean, that's why
- 12:05Speaker 1: he jumped off the screen.
- 12:06Speaker 3: And you know.
- 12:07Speaker 1: One of the things that I really enjoyed about. Two
- 12:10Speaker 1: things I enjoyed about this documentary about his life only two.
- 12:16Speaker 1: One what an incredible person it seems like Martin Sheen.
- 12:20Speaker 3: Is as a father.
- 12:21Speaker 1: And two hearing about his upbringing and how passionate he
- 12:28Speaker 1: actually was about filmmaking and acting and how nerding, how
- 12:32Speaker 1: he nerded out with his brother, his brothers and his friends,
- 12:36Speaker 1: and hearing what that life was like in Malibu and
- 12:39Speaker 1: all of those videos that they did. I really enjoyed
- 12:41Speaker 1: seeing that it wasn't just some NEPO kid getting opportunities.
- 12:45Speaker 1: These kids even grew up in it. But they yeah,
- 12:49Speaker 1: they loved it.
- 12:50Speaker 2: Even if it was NEPO.
- 12:51Speaker 4: This is my argument against nepotism. There's a price to
- 12:55Speaker 4: be paid even if it's NEPO. And we're seeing it
- 12:58Speaker 4: with Charlie Sheen with addiction and feeling inadequate and feeling
- 13:01Speaker 4: like you're there because of your dad and all that.
- 13:03Speaker 2: So if you got you still have to overcome something.
- 13:06Speaker 4: Even if you got the job because of your family,
- 13:09Speaker 4: you're gonna have to deal with it.
- 13:11Speaker 1: You've got all the demons of the people that came
- 13:13Speaker 1: before you. I mean, it's a thoughtful it's not. But
- 13:16Speaker 1: to hear about Nick Cage. What an absolute lunatic. That
- 13:22Speaker 1: guy was going like being up in a castle and
- 13:25Speaker 1: being like I'm closer to the crime up here.
- 13:28Speaker 3: It was like what.
- 13:31Speaker 2: He as a human. But I will watch him in anything.
- 13:36Speaker 1: I didn't know how I didn't know how weird he was.
- 13:38Speaker 1: I really didn't know, did you know?
- 13:41Speaker 7: Yeah yeah, yeah, okay, I didn't realize, but you know.
- 13:47Speaker 6: I mean, question about John Patt, quick question.
- 13:50Speaker 1: About who was Oh god, yeah?
- 13:54Speaker 5: Was he doing drugs at any point like during this documentary?
- 13:59Speaker 5: Did we see something at one point? I'm I didn't
- 14:02Speaker 5: he just Sean.
- 14:02Speaker 2: Penn, I don't think so. I think that's Sean pat
- 14:06Speaker 2: And I will say I think.
- 14:09Speaker 4: He really deserved like the Nobel Peace Prize for what
- 14:14Speaker 4: he did in terms of his his charity work and
- 14:17Speaker 4: his piece work.
- 14:18Speaker 2: And it is crazy, like you can google all that.
- 14:21Speaker 4: I don't think I want to hang out with him
- 14:23Speaker 4: for more than ninety minutes.
- 14:25Speaker 3: Thought, wow, that's a lot of time.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm willing.
- 14:30Speaker 4: I think I want to meet him for ten minutes
- 14:34Speaker 4: and the rest is going to be a lecture and
- 14:37Speaker 4: I'm able to follow it.
- 14:38Speaker 1: Yes, I think what you were saying about Brook allegedly
- 14:41Speaker 1: is true about him as well, that he's probably moving
- 14:45Speaker 1: at a different pace now based on all of the history,
- 14:48Speaker 1: much like a lot of rock stars and celebrities at
- 14:50Speaker 1: that time. But what's wild is that Charlie Sheen seems
- 14:54Speaker 1: to be real on point. I mean, I guess, like
- 14:58Speaker 1: what how did he or vibe? That is the biggest question.
- 15:02Speaker 1: I don't understand how he survived this, you guys a miracle?
- 15:06Speaker 3: How is he still alive?
- 15:08Speaker 2: I don't know? And I often think, like with somebody.
- 15:11Speaker 4: Like that, when you or like Keith Richards, where I'm like,
- 15:14Speaker 4: what if you never did one drug?
- 15:15Speaker 2: Do you live to two hundred?
- 15:17Speaker 3: Like what probably would have died at thirty?
- 15:20Speaker 2: Oh yeah, well that's true.
- 15:22Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 15:22Speaker 5: Yeah, there's some sort of preservation happening, like yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 15:29Speaker 5: I mean it is a miracle, and if you are,
- 15:33Speaker 5: I do think there should be like just a little
- 15:35Speaker 5: warning at the top of this documentary, like if you
- 15:38Speaker 5: are flirting with the idea of doing crack, do not
- 15:42Speaker 5: watch this, right because I'm.
- 15:44Speaker 6: Just gonna push over my god. I'm like, well, you
- 15:48Speaker 6: know what I mean.
- 15:48Speaker 4: Like that.
- 15:52Speaker 5: Sounds pretty well. Actually, you know that just scene that
- 15:56Speaker 5: he laid out, You're like, I won't touch that in
- 16:00Speaker 5: my human experience. You know that whatever that feeling was
- 16:05Speaker 5: that he had while he was trying crack for the
- 16:07Speaker 5: first time and getting a blowjob, Like, right, I'm in
- 16:09Speaker 5: no danger of experiencing that in my lifetime. Yeah, but
- 16:15Speaker 5: but wow, you know, like if you're on the brink.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Someone's gonna he's romanticizing it. He's publicizing it in a
- 16:24Speaker 1: way that it's yeah, look, it's a pr campaign for crack.
- 16:27Speaker 1: I'm kidding. I mean, look, we've heard about it in
- 16:30Speaker 1: intervention many times. The feeling and what people how they
- 16:33Speaker 1: explain it, and it is one of those things where
- 16:35Speaker 1: you're like, that sounds amazing. Wouldn't we all like to
- 16:38Speaker 1: feel that way? Which is why it's such a dangerous drug.
- 16:41Speaker 1: But it you know, the way that it happened with
- 16:44Speaker 1: him is so interesting because it just goes to show
- 16:47Speaker 1: you if you are, you know, such a drug user
- 16:49Speaker 1: and you're running in that in that fast crowd, you know,
- 16:54Speaker 1: it's only a matter of time before you get to
- 16:57Speaker 1: the next step. It was just a matter of time,
- 16:59Speaker 1: you know. If it wasn't that gal, that lady, you know,
- 17:03Speaker 1: it would have been someone else. Now you know, I'm
- 17:06Speaker 1: kind of we're gonna be skipping around. But the biggest,
- 17:09Speaker 1: the biggest takeaway for me was, oh my god, it
- 17:13Speaker 1: was the drug dealer that got him ultimately sober, Like,
- 17:17Speaker 1: oh my god, the drug dealer.
- 17:20Speaker 4: Year and a half cutting down the crack, you mean,
- 17:22Speaker 4: yeah to nothing.
- 17:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I was.
- 17:25Speaker 4: I wish that we didn't know that, and I wish
- 17:28Speaker 4: that he had never told him because in my mind,
- 17:31Speaker 4: to your point, Deanna, that's when I was like, if
- 17:33Speaker 4: I'm Charlie Sheen.
- 17:35Speaker 3: I want to know that, right, I'll.
- 17:37Speaker 4: Just go get some other crack now, right, right, So, like,
- 17:43Speaker 4: I mean, he's been sober, I guess not eight years now.
- 17:47Speaker 4: He says seven or eight years at the top.
- 17:49Speaker 3: But I both so what a way to believe you know.
- 17:53Speaker 2: What? I was like, that's not something we should ever know, we.
- 17:56Speaker 4: Should we should have him believe that he really got
- 17:59Speaker 4: off and that's that.
- 18:01Speaker 5: Wow, that's an interesting point, damn, because.
- 18:05Speaker 4: There's nothing preventing him in a weak moment from going out,
- 18:09Speaker 4: going out and just getting some crack that's real and
- 18:12Speaker 4: not watered down.
- 18:14Speaker 1: I mean, his will to stay sober is you know,
- 18:18Speaker 1: stopping him.
- 18:19Speaker 4: But but an addict is an addict, is an addict,
- 18:22Speaker 4: so like that voice can sometimes be loud enough to
- 18:25Speaker 4: just start that engine running again.
- 18:28Speaker 1: So that's why I was like, we know, I mean,
- 18:30Speaker 1: I guess I'm not sure. I think you've got a
- 18:32Speaker 1: really good point. You know, but if he's addicted, he
- 18:36Speaker 1: you know, whether he knew or not. As you said,
- 18:39Speaker 1: an addict is an addict, he would have just maybe
- 18:42Speaker 1: done something.
- 18:42Speaker 3: Else, which he did.
- 18:43Speaker 1: He just went to alcohol, right, and then he had
- 18:46Speaker 1: to end up getting sober from that.
- 18:49Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's an I think it's an interesting point.
- 18:55Speaker 5: And it doesn't you know, he has been up and
- 18:59Speaker 5: down so many times that did I feel he felt
- 19:03Speaker 5: one hundred percent confident that it wouldn't be No, you know,
- 19:07Speaker 5: like it's like that I'm on eight.
- 19:09Speaker 3: He's like, I don't know if I'll make it denied.
- 19:11Speaker 5: We'll see you know by day, you know, which is
- 19:15Speaker 5: the whole shebang, right, it's day by day, which is
- 19:18Speaker 5: how you have to keep your head. But even doing
- 19:22Speaker 5: something like this for someone like him, even within the
- 19:28Speaker 5: curation of it, you wonder what the effects of even
- 19:34Speaker 5: putting this out there for him will be, you know,
- 19:38Speaker 5: because sobriety is so uh just it's not it's not
- 19:44Speaker 5: firm for him, you know, even with seventy eight years
- 19:47Speaker 5: under his belt.
- 19:48Speaker 1: I am impressed with the seven or eight. The you know,
- 19:51Speaker 1: it was interesting the HIV situation, how he had to
- 19:55Speaker 1: put that.
- 19:56Speaker 5: Yeah, I forgot that, guys like that, that Charlie Sheen
- 20:01Speaker 5: has HIV popped out of my head completely when I
- 20:04Speaker 5: came back up.
- 20:04Speaker 6: I was like, oh my god, I forgot that. Did
- 20:07Speaker 6: you guys have it?
- 20:08Speaker 3: No?
- 20:08Speaker 4: I did remember, because he's like one of those people
- 20:11Speaker 4: in my head, like Magic Johnson, where I'm like, Okay,
- 20:14Speaker 4: he's doing fine, he's doing fine.
- 20:16Speaker 2: Like that kind of thing. Oh right.
- 20:20Speaker 4: What was odd to me is that he knew for
- 20:22Speaker 4: a fact he'd never given it to somebody.
- 20:24Speaker 2: And I'm like, how would you know, right?
- 20:27Speaker 3: How would you know?
- 20:29Speaker 2: How do you know, as Larsa would say, right.
- 20:33Speaker 5: Because the person who's in this interview seat is not
- 20:36Speaker 5: the person who was in his addiction. So it's like
- 20:41Speaker 5: and the lack of accountability. I mean, I think that
- 20:44Speaker 5: consequences came up quite a few times, and you really
- 20:48Speaker 5: do understand that, Like, it is not a gift to
- 20:53Speaker 5: give people no consequences. Like him failing as hard as
- 20:58Speaker 5: anyone could ever fail and then being gifted a gorgeous
- 21:03Speaker 5: opportunity time and time again is just the patriarchy at
- 21:08Speaker 5: its finest, and also nepotism at its finest. And also
- 21:14Speaker 5: like you know, it's just in Hollywood, you know, really
- 21:18Speaker 5: and truly it's really I mean, it seemed almost like
- 21:22Speaker 5: he he was blaming I think on some level the
- 21:25Speaker 5: lack of consequences on the trajectory of his life.
- 21:30Speaker 6: On some level.
- 21:33Speaker 4: Yeah, I think he was looking for consequences. I think
- 21:36Speaker 4: he wanted a punishment. I mean, I think that's what
- 21:39Speaker 4: that's really at the end of the day. Maybe what
- 21:41Speaker 4: he was chasing, just like, you know, make me pay
- 21:44Speaker 4: for this success somehow.
- 21:47Speaker 1: The sabotage, Yeah, I think a few people brought that
- 21:50Speaker 1: up about the sabotage. That is interesting because in some way,
- 21:55Speaker 1: you really appreciate somebody being humble enough to be like,
- 21:58Speaker 1: I can't you know, I have this opportunity. So many
- 22:01Speaker 1: people don't get this. Do I even really deserve it
- 22:04Speaker 1: over somebody else? And I actually really respect that mindset.
- 22:09Speaker 1: But his was so much more than just that, like
- 22:14Speaker 1: sabotaging on what level of like you know, when he
- 22:17Speaker 1: explained that story about Apocalypse Now and his dad having
- 22:20Speaker 1: that night.
- 22:21Speaker 2: Fucking God, that the fact that he was on that set.
- 22:25Speaker 4: I know, there's Heart of Darkness, which is the documentary
- 22:29Speaker 4: about everyone losing their fucking minds. Can you just imagine
- 22:32Speaker 4: being a little kid and watching everybody around you just
- 22:35Speaker 4: be off.
- 22:36Speaker 1: Well, that's why I was like, this is why we
- 22:38Speaker 1: needed eight episodes on just that. But I mean, clearly
- 22:41Speaker 1: he's not going to talk about Marlon Brando losing his shit,
- 22:44Speaker 1: you know, I mean yah, but he had to have
- 22:46Speaker 1: seen so much like I. That's where I just don't
- 22:49Speaker 1: understand how we can't get in there, right, I mean.
- 22:52Speaker 4: But even his own father, that scene with the mirror
- 22:55Speaker 4: is iconic of Martin Sheen just fully losing his everything
- 22:59Speaker 4: and like, like, not as an actor, but as Martin
- 23:02Speaker 4: Sheen and so I'm just like, and.
- 23:06Speaker 1: So was he drunk at that time or not? And
- 23:08Speaker 1: did he have a drinking problem or not? Because I
- 23:10Speaker 1: thought that he was going down that road of saying
- 23:12Speaker 1: that his dad did have a drinking problem. But then
- 23:14Speaker 1: I was like, Oh, he's just getting into his character
- 23:17Speaker 1: and this is technique off the rails, this is Lee
- 23:20Speaker 1: Strasberg beyond.
- 23:23Speaker 4: That's what the documentary Heart of Darkness is. It's all
- 23:27Speaker 4: about the making of Apocalypse Now and it's all about
- 23:30Speaker 4: all of them losing their minds, like literally losing their
- 23:33Speaker 4: minds and having no grounding. I mean, that's why that
- 23:36Speaker 4: movie took so long to make and there's so much
- 23:39Speaker 4: foot Like even Francis four.
- 23:40Speaker 2: Coppola is losing his mind.
- 23:42Speaker 1: But did they say the drugs that were alcohol were
- 23:44Speaker 1: involved in that is what I'm asking yea, But was
- 23:48Speaker 1: he an alcoholic?
- 23:50Speaker 4: I don't know if he was an alcoholic, but I
- 23:52Speaker 4: know that, like, there was a lot going on in
- 23:54Speaker 4: that set to like, and.
- 23:58Speaker 2: I don't know if there was a dicktion.
- 24:00Speaker 4: I just know that there was a lot going on
- 24:02Speaker 4: on that right, Yes, I just like the terms of
- 24:05Speaker 4: drugs and alcohol, but.
- 24:06Speaker 2: I'm saying, like there was something.
- 24:08Speaker 4: Above that going on, that everybody was just chaos iconically,
- 24:13Speaker 4: just one of the most chaotic sets of all time.
- 24:17Speaker 1: Wow, sounds like LSD. You know, it sounds like people
- 24:21Speaker 1: were just hallucinating his balls off.
- 24:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:24Speaker 1: Yeah, as we moved forward in the documentary, and how
- 24:28Speaker 1: many times his father just kept giving him chance after
- 24:31Speaker 1: a chance, and the support that he gave him, and
- 24:33Speaker 1: including his brother although I don't know, I mean, I
- 24:36Speaker 1: say both of his brothers, his father and Emilia not
- 24:39Speaker 1: being in the documentary obviously there's no way, of course
- 24:43Speaker 1: they wouldn't be in that. I mean, that would be
- 24:44Speaker 1: way too painful. Now, his mom, his mom was not
- 24:48Speaker 1: talked about really at all.
- 24:51Speaker 6: Just at the intervention, she was like, to have a
- 24:56Speaker 6: gun on you. But yeah, I.
- 25:01Speaker 4: Yeah, I thought that was odd too, and I thought like, well,
- 25:05Speaker 4: maybe this is more like Charlie Sheen is protecting his
- 25:09Speaker 4: mom and his dad's in the public eye, and that's
- 25:12Speaker 4: what we want.
- 25:12Speaker 2: To hear about. I don't know, but it was a
- 25:14Speaker 2: little weird.
- 25:14Speaker 1: But he did say that they practice nudism, which can
- 25:18Speaker 1: be real weird when you're little.
- 25:21Speaker 3: I mean, can you imagine.
- 25:22Speaker 5: Now I have a friend his parents did and you know.
- 25:26Speaker 5: He yeah, you know, he turned out great. But like
- 25:28Speaker 5: it is, it is a it's a vibe for sure.
- 25:32Speaker 4: I think it's it's an old school Malibu vibe because.
- 25:35Speaker 6: It's probably true.
- 25:37Speaker 4: Yeah, there's a really great podcast called Lost Hills. It's
- 25:40Speaker 4: a true crime, but they had an episode with Rob
- 25:43Speaker 4: low and if you only want to listen to that
- 25:45Speaker 4: to get the vibe of Malibu at that time, it
- 25:48Speaker 4: was fucking wild and very blue collar. So that's the
- 25:52Speaker 4: other thing to like, because we now think of Malibu
- 25:55Speaker 4: as being like like the most wealthy, but it just
- 25:59Speaker 4: wasn't that. It was like like those videos of them,
- 26:02Speaker 4: like Charlie and Emilio like out there just getting concussions
- 26:07Speaker 4: on construction sites.
- 26:08Speaker 2: Like that's that was it.
- 26:09Speaker 6: That was that was the vibe.
- 26:11Speaker 1: And that's and he did say it wasn't like you know,
- 26:14Speaker 1: it was just a regular you know, community and neighborhood.
- 26:19Speaker 1: And it is so interesting that like Sean Penn was
- 26:22Speaker 1: there and Nick Cage was there. I didn't know Rob
- 26:25Speaker 1: Lowe was there, but all these all these guys. It
- 26:29Speaker 1: made me think, well, we had that brat pack, you know,
- 26:31Speaker 1: back then, but what about this pack.
- 26:34Speaker 3: This is like the crack pack.
- 26:38Speaker 1: It just it really was like, why aren't why haven't
- 26:41Speaker 1: we talked about this group before?
- 26:43Speaker 3: I never even knew that they were all connected.
- 26:46Speaker 6: That's interesting.
- 26:47Speaker 5: When I first moved to La, I worked in Malibuy
- 26:49Speaker 5: babysat for a family that lived around the corner from
- 26:53Speaker 5: Sean Penn's parents, and they were very very close with them.
- 26:55Speaker 5: They're older, you know, obviously even twenty years ago, they
- 27:02Speaker 5: were they were old. But I wonder if he was born.
- 27:06Speaker 5: I wonder if because they they had a you know,
- 27:08Speaker 5: they he may have. Is Sean Penn from Malibou?
- 27:11Speaker 6: Did he grow up? I wonder, That's what we're saying.
- 27:13Speaker 7: They were literally they were all there. He was like
- 27:16Speaker 7: in those films too, I'm saying. And then Chris pen
- 27:19Speaker 7: Chris Penn was like Emilio. Yeah, they were all in there.
- 27:23Speaker 7: That's what's so crazy.
- 27:25Speaker 2: Yeah. And they were also.
- 27:28Speaker 5: Quite lovely, you know, the parents. I mean they really,
- 27:31Speaker 5: you know, his parents were lovely. That Martin Sheen and
- 27:34Speaker 5: his wife seemed like it's like a lovely you know.
- 27:36Speaker 6: It's like the too much son, I think a little
- 27:39Speaker 6: too much son.
- 27:40Speaker 1: Well, it was a very liberal time, and I don't
- 27:43Speaker 1: mean by politics I just mean by the way of life.
- 27:45Speaker 1: It was very hippie. It was very like we're nude
- 27:47Speaker 1: now or by the beach. We're living in a way
- 27:49Speaker 1: that our parents didn't and that did not bode well
- 27:53Speaker 1: for most of those people. Now it did bode well
- 27:56Speaker 1: for the entertainment world because it gifted us with a
- 27:58Speaker 1: lot of you know, great actors and things like that,
- 28:02Speaker 1: but at the price of I don't know of what.
- 28:06Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 28:07Speaker 4: I encourage you to listen at Roblow episode because I will, Okay,
- 28:11Speaker 4: it sounds magical and horrible at the same time.
- 28:14Speaker 2: It's called I Think It's Malibu.
- 28:16Speaker 4: That episode is like the Land of Milks or something,
- 28:19Speaker 4: just to give you an idea of just.
- 28:21Speaker 1: Like what's going Wow, but is Robinson just left and right?
- 28:27Speaker 4: Yeah, but like also again very blue collar, just like
- 28:32Speaker 4: it was kind of like what we think of California
- 28:34Speaker 4: now as being like like.
- 28:36Speaker 2: We're trying anything new.
- 28:38Speaker 4: Wave healthy, but like also back then in Malibu, but
- 28:42Speaker 4: we have like twenty bucks, so it's like.
- 28:45Speaker 2: You know, and then very rural.
- 28:48Speaker 4: So to the fact that Martin Sheen like and decided
- 28:52Speaker 4: to move from New York and move there, like I
- 28:53Speaker 4: think he really was like, We're just going to raise
- 28:55Speaker 4: our kids in the woods and I can get to
- 28:57Speaker 4: the set quick of a movie that I you know
- 29:00Speaker 4: what I mean?
- 29:00Speaker 3: Like that was the vibe. I like that vibe.
- 29:03Speaker 6: Martin is Martin Sheen from The Bronx. Do we know?
- 29:06Speaker 6: Sorry to ask that question, but I don't know. I'm curious.
- 29:09Speaker 6: I will look that up on my own time.
- 29:11Speaker 3: Wrong.
- 29:12Speaker 1: Well, we're gonna talk more about the Charlie Sheen documentary
- 29:16Speaker 1: on Netflix, so we're going to take a quick break.
- 29:19Speaker 1: I'm going to take a Segon just to talk about
- 29:20Speaker 1: how much I'm obsessed with Loomy gummies. I know my
- 29:23Speaker 1: way around a gummy, okay, and there's one thing I know.

- 29:29Speaker 1: not like to feel completely out of control. I want
- 29:31Speaker 1: to be inspired. I want to be relaxed. I want
- 29:33Speaker 1: to have less anxiety. And guess what gummy does that
- 29:37Speaker 1: for me.
- 29:38Speaker 3: It's Loomy.
- 29:38Speaker 1: I love Loomy. They make me feel just right, consistent, mellow,

- 30:35Speaker 1: only takes half of a gummy. Just a tiny dose

- 34:56Speaker 1: We're talking the Charlie Sheen doc obviously, and with Deanna
- 34:59Speaker 1: Chang and Emily Dresis karate Kid. He was supposed to
- 35:04Speaker 1: be the karate kid that blew my mind and his
- 35:07Speaker 1: dad being like, you gave them your word on this film.
- 35:12Speaker 5: Yeah, that's such a dad. I feel like my dad
- 35:15Speaker 5: would say the same damn thing. You Now, that's such
- 35:18Speaker 5: a dad move.
- 35:20Speaker 1: And interesting because not only a dad move, but like
- 35:22Speaker 1: a Hollywood actor who has morals and ethics and it
- 35:29Speaker 1: just wants to raise his son right despite it being
- 35:31Speaker 1: a Hollywood thing. I mean, it's just amazing that he
- 35:33Speaker 1: did that. I don't know if it was the right
- 35:35Speaker 1: thing or wrong thing, but I appreciate it.
- 35:38Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean it was the right thing. Ralph Macio
- 35:41Speaker 4: was ten times better for that movie.
- 35:43Speaker 1: I think, Yeah, he was. He was really meant for that.
- 35:46Speaker 1: I mean, he had a vulnerability about him that I'm
- 35:49Speaker 1: not sure that Charlie Sheen would have ever been able
- 35:51Speaker 1: to get. Yeah, I mean he was supposed to be
- 35:56Speaker 1: like the weak kid in school, you know what I mean,
- 35:58Speaker 1: Like Charlie Sheen comes off as a completely different vibe.
- 36:02Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm surprised they were even going to cast him.
- 36:05Speaker 4: Yeah, I think Ralph Maccio was exact right and like
- 36:10Speaker 4: to that end. Like, it's always interesting to me when
- 36:13Speaker 4: you hear about the first choice. I can't even imagine
- 36:16Speaker 4: that now, Like it can't even imagine Charlie Sheen and
- 36:19Speaker 4: that that It's like a joke to me.
- 36:21Speaker 6: How old would he have been in his like where
- 36:24Speaker 6: was he? That was? That was before he hit at all? Right,
- 36:29Speaker 6: that movie that was.
- 36:30Speaker 4: Yeah, Kriddaie Kid came out in eighty four and Ferris
- 36:33Speaker 4: Bueller's eighty six, so they filled Friday Kidd in eighty three.
- 36:38Speaker 5: See it's hard because you can damn Emily. I know
- 36:40Speaker 5: she'd be really having it.
- 36:43Speaker 2: She'd be Karate Kid two came out summer k three.
- 36:53Speaker 5: Because like he you know, it's yeah, I can mentally
- 36:57Speaker 5: get there with him, but I think to both the
- 37:00Speaker 5: points like Ralph Macio is like the big white eyes
- 37:04Speaker 5: and you know, yeah, but.
- 37:05Speaker 6: Charlie Sheen's small.
- 37:07Speaker 5: He's a small, small guy. It's just you know, it's
- 37:11Speaker 5: so weird how people appear. Yeah, tiny guy with a
- 37:15Speaker 5: big ass with it right, he's yes, yeah, well he
- 37:18Speaker 5: could have done it, you know.
- 37:20Speaker 1: I there were so many surprises in this movie, and
- 37:24Speaker 1: one of them was like, I didn't you know his
- 37:26Speaker 1: first child it was really like very much raised by
- 37:29Speaker 1: his parents, right, didn't know, didn't know anything about it. Uh.
- 37:33Speaker 1: The first woman that he was like like his first
- 37:35Speaker 1: wife was somebody met on that commercial? Yeah, that commercial
- 37:40Speaker 1: wild the Sheen versus the Sheen's versus Jordan was an
- 37:45Speaker 1: extraordinary thing to behold.
- 37:49Speaker 4: And that was that was in eighty four, right, that
- 37:52Speaker 4: was Michael Jordan, like being like the most iconic UNC player,
- 37:59Speaker 4: like about to write, wasn't in eighty four.
- 38:01Speaker 1: I don't just say it, and don't quest in yourself,
- 38:05Speaker 1: and certainly don't ask us.
- 38:06Speaker 4: I already questioned myself. Kredi Kid Too came out in
- 38:09Speaker 4: eighty six. Kredi Kid three is eighty nine, thank you, addendum,
- 38:12Speaker 4: thank you.
- 38:13Speaker 1: But the Jordan thing was amazing. I it just was incredible.
- 38:17Speaker 1: It was incredible.
- 38:17Speaker 4: I mean he Martin Sheen and those sinking those shots, okay.
- 38:23Speaker 1: Yeah, and him beat like the baseball like you know
- 38:25Speaker 1: when him doing that home run when he came out
- 38:27Speaker 1: of rehab and all that other So he really is
- 38:29Speaker 1: a sportsman. Yeah, after Ferris Bueller and then it really
- 38:34Speaker 1: bumps up. He gets Wall Street and then he gets Platoon.
- 38:37Speaker 1: Now here's what I want to ask you, guys, because
- 38:39Speaker 1: I wasn't certain about this. So with Platoon, his brother Emilio,
- 38:44Speaker 1: from what I understood, like he okay, so Charlie auditioned.
- 38:47Speaker 1: He did a bad job. He said he did poorly,
- 38:49Speaker 1: and apparently Amelia was supposed to be in it. Then
- 38:52Speaker 1: they they pulled back on the movie and they didn't
- 38:54Speaker 1: do it for like a year and a half or two.
- 38:56Speaker 1: Then the next thing, yes, the movie was postponed, and
- 38:59Speaker 1: then yeah it was Oliver Stone.
- 39:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 39:03Speaker 1: So then Oliver Stone's like, well, he wanted Charlie to
- 39:06Speaker 1: be in it, so then he got the part, and
- 39:08Speaker 1: then not Emilio. And then remember in that one moment
- 39:12Speaker 1: and Charlie was like acting very smug and they're like, well,
- 39:15Speaker 1: so Emilio wasn't in it or and he's like, yeah,
- 39:18Speaker 1: I meant to be, Like he got that part away
- 39:21Speaker 1: from his brother, and we know about that sibling rivalry,
- 39:24Speaker 1: So was that true that he got the part over
- 39:28Speaker 1: his brother because that would have caused problem.
- 39:32Speaker 2: I think Emilio was booked.
- 39:34Speaker 4: I think it was a say he was like on
- 39:36Speaker 4: Grizzly three the Predator instead of Charlie being in Grizzly
- 39:39Speaker 4: to the Predator, like he had some other commitment and
- 39:42Speaker 4: couldn't care Timeline thank you.
- 39:47Speaker 1: And we know Martin's not going to agree with pulling
- 39:49Speaker 1: him out of there.
- 39:52Speaker 4: But I also think, like when you see Amelio Estevez
- 39:55Speaker 4: at that time. I mean, it looks he looks way
- 39:59Speaker 4: too much much like Martin Short in Apocalypse Now Martin Short.
- 40:03Speaker 3: Oh, why Martin Shore was in that? He must have
- 40:06Speaker 3: been phenomenal.
- 40:06Speaker 2: He was losing his was phenomenal.
- 40:10Speaker 3: Must see.
- 40:13Speaker 4: Was exactly they are doppelgangers for each other.
- 40:16Speaker 2: It would have been the weirdest director.
- 40:18Speaker 4: Choice for Oliver Stone to put Emelia Estevez in that.
- 40:22Speaker 1: It would have just just saying, oh, you're just doing
- 40:25Speaker 1: but he was going to.
- 40:26Speaker 3: But he was going to.
- 40:27Speaker 4: I know.
- 40:27Speaker 2: That's why it's so weird to think.
- 40:29Speaker 5: Okay, guys, now, as darlings, we have reviewed the documentary
- 40:35Speaker 5: with Andrew McCarthy right where he was getting all his
- 40:40Speaker 5: brad packs together and.
- 40:43Speaker 6: Amelia, and how do we say it's not Estevez? Like
- 40:46Speaker 6: I hate when these.
- 40:47Speaker 5: Names would get revealed, and you're like Steves, like, well,
- 40:50Speaker 5: I've been saying, why didn't anyone ever, Why would not
- 40:52Speaker 5: a PR person jump in there and get it sorted?
- 40:55Speaker 5: But he was in that, you know. So I'm wondering
- 41:00Speaker 5: timeline wise, Emily.
- 41:02Speaker 3: When they filmed.
- 41:04Speaker 1: Like when that article came out, that, when that article
- 41:08Speaker 1: came out and when Platoon went is that what you're saying,
- 41:12Speaker 1: is that what you're going there?
- 41:13Speaker 6: Oh no, but I am interested in that.
- 41:17Speaker 5: I was wondering, like he chose to do that reluctantly documentary,
- 41:22Speaker 5: but he didn't choose to do his brothers, you know,
- 41:25Speaker 5: And so I'm curious which one. I wonder if that
- 41:29Speaker 5: I am just curious when they filmed the Andrew McCarthy one,
- 41:32Speaker 5: and if he was like, had a bad experience and
- 41:35Speaker 5: then was like, no, I'm definitely not doing yours either.
- 41:37Speaker 4: Charlie or Well was in eighty four, and Breakfast Club
- 41:43Speaker 4: came out in eighty five, so that's like the brad
- 41:50Speaker 4: Pack is kind of like seeing that.
- 41:52Speaker 1: Yeah, so the article had not come out when he
- 41:55Speaker 1: was originally Yeah, yeah, okay, all right, got got it.
- 41:59Speaker 1: I mean my take on Emelia not doing this documentary,
- 42:02Speaker 1: it was a no go from the start. There was
- 42:04Speaker 1: no way he was ever going to do it. He
- 42:07Speaker 1: has such dark feelings for him before his brother. His
- 42:10Speaker 1: brother put him through hell. I mean, I can't even
- 42:12Speaker 1: imagine what they've been through. So you know, with Rob Low,
- 42:16Speaker 1: that's light, that's nothing, that's like butter on toast. I mean,
- 42:18Speaker 1: even though like Emilio still seemed bothered by it. He did,
- 42:24Speaker 1: but I don't. I think that that doesn't even scratch
- 42:27Speaker 1: the surface when it comes to his brother. I mean,
- 42:29Speaker 1: I write yea, although his other brother who I didn't
- 42:32Speaker 1: even know existed, who is a spinning image. He's like
- 42:35Speaker 1: the amalgamation of both. Yes, so weird it is.
- 42:39Speaker 3: I can't look at him without being like, who am
- 42:41Speaker 3: I looking at?
- 42:41Speaker 6: It's so yild.
- 42:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 42:45Speaker 4: I also think, like with Rob, I was surprised Rob
- 42:49Speaker 4: Blow wasn't in this, So I'm wondering if the.
- 42:52Speaker 3: If he's because because he was at.
- 42:54Speaker 4: The intervention, and I'm wonder like they, you know, if
- 42:59Speaker 4: there's and friends that were like, look, we talked to
- 43:02Speaker 4: Amelio and Martin and we just want to like not
- 43:05Speaker 4: co sign this because we don't know. To John Cryer's
- 43:09Speaker 4: point at the beginning, there's a pattern of Charlie like
- 43:13Speaker 4: being on top of the world and that's the tipping
- 43:17Speaker 4: point till he goes down. So we don't want to
- 43:20Speaker 4: co sign that. And I wonder if that there's you know,
- 43:23Speaker 4: enough people that are like.
- 43:25Speaker 3: Yeah, that's possible.
- 43:26Speaker 1: I agree with that, But there's also something about Rob
- 43:29Speaker 1: Low had a very sticky middle there, and we don't
- 43:33Speaker 1: know how Charlie and Rob's cross pollination happened. And I
- 43:37Speaker 1: mean they who knows what happened with them? And so
- 43:41Speaker 1: that's might be a little bit too close for comfort,
- 43:43Speaker 1: you know, because Rob would have to go on there
- 43:47Speaker 1: and he'd be almost like outing himself in a way,
- 43:51Speaker 1: and he's not ready. He's not want to talk about
- 43:52Speaker 1: himself like he's done that. He's in a great penny.
- 43:55Speaker 5: Yeah, he's been sitting pretty for a minute. No one's
- 43:57Speaker 5: even going back.
- 43:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I didn't want to know get in there.
- 44:01Speaker 2: Oh my god.
- 44:01Speaker 1: Yeah. So then the Wild Things, that's such a great movie.
- 44:07Speaker 1: Not wild Things, wild Thing, Oh that's interesting. The baseball
- 44:11Speaker 1: movie wild Thing. And then she got a wild base. No, no,
- 44:15Speaker 1: the base thank you?
- 44:18Speaker 2: Sorry?
- 44:18Speaker 3: Oh my god, I always call out sorry.
- 44:21Speaker 2: Because that was his song. That's a song in it,
- 44:24Speaker 2: I know, I just yeah. But then Denise's movie is
- 44:26Speaker 2: Wild Things.
- 44:28Speaker 1: Right, and she comes out to the song major league.
- 44:36Speaker 3: AnyWho?
- 44:37Speaker 1: Wait wait, getting back to the Kelly Presson thing, I
- 44:39Speaker 1: made a notius because when we saw a reporter coming
- 44:44Speaker 1: up to her fucking door, knock atty knock.
- 44:48Speaker 3: Like that's how it was back then, you guys. They
- 44:51Speaker 3: just walked up to her house.
- 44:54Speaker 6: They don't do that nowlor I thought she was in
- 44:57Speaker 6: a trailer? Am I tripping? Maybe it was her house?
- 45:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I saw a door trailer handle. Could am I
- 45:05Speaker 3: wrong about that? And how would they get on set?
- 45:09Speaker 5: But I think to your point it was loose right
- 45:13Speaker 5: exactly exactly.
- 45:15Speaker 4: Yeah, I do think like there's a little bit more
- 45:19Speaker 4: consideration now for something like that. Although like the way
- 45:24Speaker 4: that it's all going down right now with Denise and Aaron,
- 45:27Speaker 4: I can't believe, like Inside Edition is giving any oxygen
- 45:32Speaker 4: to Aaron stuff and following Denise with the camera and.
- 45:35Speaker 6: Stuff like I that's wild crazy.
- 45:38Speaker 5: But yeah, yeah, she is amazing, like she has I mean,
- 45:46Speaker 5: I know, we haven't talked about that again. Yeah, she
- 45:50Speaker 5: the things she has been through, you know, and that
- 45:57Speaker 5: little story about her bringing the porn star her you know,
- 46:01Speaker 5: cheese and ham sandwiches was just the epitome of.
- 46:04Speaker 6: Who she is.
- 46:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 46:08Speaker 5: She is a she has a big heart and her
- 46:11Speaker 5: picker is for the streets.
- 46:15Speaker 6: It is so bad, you know, it's like.
- 46:20Speaker 1: Lord, Yeah, I mean she you know what was interesting,
- 46:28Speaker 1: there's so much about her being a part of his
- 46:32Speaker 1: story throughout so much of his life, whereas you know
- 46:37Speaker 1: his first wife long gone, you know Brooke, I mean
- 46:41Speaker 1: she's there, but Denise was intrigal in terms of like
- 46:45Speaker 1: helping him realize like he's got HIV, this is not
- 46:48Speaker 1: coming off of drugs, like you know.
- 46:50Speaker 3: There's that.
- 46:51Speaker 1: There's the she intervened and took his children and cared
- 46:56Speaker 1: for them for a very long time. She went to
- 46:59Speaker 1: his house and when no one else could get to
- 47:02Speaker 1: him to try to like pull him back up on
- 47:05Speaker 1: some level, which hence the sandwiches. There were so many
- 47:10Speaker 1: things that she did and never like turned his back
- 47:15Speaker 1: on him. It's a strange thing to have that.
- 47:18Speaker 4: Remember at that time, he was destroying destroying her publicly,
- 47:24Speaker 4: and this was grat I'm not even talking about how
- 47:26Speaker 4: bad he was in the divorce proceedings. I'm talking about
- 47:29Speaker 4: like even during the Goddesses. I mean he was just
- 47:34Speaker 4: going for broke against her. It was crazy. Publicly, he
- 47:37Speaker 4: was saying like the most horrible things, and I just
- 47:41Speaker 4: I like went back and looked, yeah, I mean again,
- 47:45Speaker 4: just well.
- 47:46Speaker 5: In that she didn't engage in it. It's kind of
- 47:49Speaker 5: like a lesson on somewhere. She was like, I'm gonna
- 47:52Speaker 5: let that because everything in your body would go put
- 47:56Speaker 5: out a statement, let me get in front of a camera,
- 47:58Speaker 5: let me explain. Just it's like, I'm going I'll let
- 48:01Speaker 5: this play out. I will come at the other end
- 48:06Speaker 5: of this, people will understand that I was not that person,
- 48:13Speaker 5: you know, and that he's a complete lunatic.
- 48:15Speaker 6: And it worked.
- 48:17Speaker 1: It did work because it can't even work again because
- 48:20Speaker 1: of the things he was saying. And then that's when
- 48:22Speaker 1: she decided I'll do reality because she had nowhere else
- 48:26Speaker 1: to go. And that's when we all were like, she's
- 48:28Speaker 1: a really nice person. She's living with her father and
- 48:31Speaker 1: she has these kids, and you know, it's just it
- 48:34Speaker 1: was a really heartwarming reality show and it was the
- 48:38Speaker 1: beginning of reality too. And that's the end of this
- 48:40Speaker 1: partial recap of the Charlie Sheen documentary. Thank you so
