- 0:09Welcome to Network 7's Mission Sunlight Chat
- 0:11from the General Conference 2025 here in St.
- 0:14Louis, Missouri in the United States. We are
- 0:16in the Exhibit Hall on the road with you. And
- 0:19as you look around the Exhibit Hall, you can't
- 0:21help but wonder at all the hundreds of ministries
- 0:24and ministry support organizations that are out
- 0:27here sharing what we can do and what they have
- 0:30been doing to share Jesus' love with the world.
- 0:34It is a really special blessing for me to have
- 0:37Isabel Santos from CORE Evangelism Training.
- 0:40Is that the right way to say it? Yes, that's
- 0:42correct. With me. Isabel, I don't know you well,
- 0:45but I know the director of CORE. He's a good
- 0:47friend, Pastor D, Casper. And so I'm excited
- 0:50to hear what's happening at CORE, get an update
- 0:52on what's going on with the ministry that is
- 0:54very close to his heart and I'm sure close to
- 0:56yours as well. Yes. Before we get started, would
- 0:59you mind opening with a word of prayer for us?
- 1:02Sure, let's pray. Heavenly Father, Lord, I thank
- 1:04you so much for this time that you've given us
- 1:06to talk more about your work and your ministry.
- 1:10And Lord, the great privilege and honor that
- 1:11we have to be a part of it. Father, I thank you
- 1:15so much for this opportunity. And Lord, I just
- 1:17pray that you continue to inspire us and inspire
- 1:19your people all around the world to continue
- 1:22to share your word with others. Father, speak
- 1:24to us now as we speak is my prayer in Christ's
- 1:27name. Amen. Amen. Isabel, before we talk about
- 1:30CORE, tell me about you. What's your journey
- 1:33with Jesus, your youth, and how did you connect
- 1:35with him? That's a great question. So I was born
- 1:38into an Adventist family. We're originally from
- 1:40Brazil. Both my parents studied in Adventist
- 1:43universities. But it was when I turned seven
- 1:47that my parents moved to the U .S. and started
- 1:51working more directly in ministry. And it was
- 1:56a big lifestyle change for us. We started following
- 1:59more of the Spirit of Prophecy councils and actually
- 2:02studying the Bible a lot more. And so from there,
- 2:06I started to hear about all these mission opportunities.
- 2:09Like almost every Friday evening for Vespers,
- 2:11we would have someone from around the world come
- 2:13and share about their mission experience from
- 2:16a different country. as a kid I would kind of
- 2:19mark down some ministries and so from a very
- 2:21young age there was one specific ministry in
- 2:23Honduras I was like when I get older I'm gonna
- 2:25go to that ministry and I want to see what they're
- 2:26all about so as I continued to grow my parents
- 2:30moved back to Brazil and they helped fund and
- 2:33start a lifestyle center in hospital well not
- 2:37hospital it was a lifestyle center in a medical
- 2:39missionary training program okay so We moved
- 2:43there and that's where I started to actively
- 2:45work directly in missions. And so I was working
- 2:49with them in the Lifestyle Center at different
- 2:51capacities. And then we moved to a very remote
- 2:55area and there were no Adventists in that village.
- 2:59It was a village and we were far from the city,
- 3:02no Adventists. And so I also started working
- 3:05in evangelism and in outreach with the people
- 3:08there at that village. When you say no Adventists,
- 3:10really what you're saying is no Christians at
- 3:12all? No, no Adventists. There were Christians
- 3:15because Brazil is a Catholic country. And so
- 3:18there is a very strong Catholic presence in that
- 3:22community. And then there are some evangelicals
- 3:24as well in the community. But there was no Adventists
- 3:27at all. And so I started from a young age. You
- 3:31know, we'd go down, walk down four kilometers
- 3:33and we would start working with the community
- 3:37and reach out to the community. What were their
- 3:39needs? There were houses that didn't even have
- 3:41doors. that people just put linen to clothes
- 3:45off. And so we would help them with their necessities
- 3:47also in building and constructing their own homes,
- 3:50but also giving Bible studies as well. So you
- 3:53referenced when you were seven, you really started
- 3:56kind of pivoting toward your own journey with
- 3:59Jesus. Yes, I think that's when I realized more
- 4:03of what the Adventist message was. I think when
- 4:06I became a little bit more independent was later
- 4:08on when I started working more actively in missions.
- 4:12So that's what I'm interested in is your journey
- 4:15with Jesus. When he became real to you, he was
- 4:18no longer your parents' religion, but where he
- 4:23became part of your faith and integrated and
- 4:25assimilated with you. What I hear you saying
- 4:28is it was a journey over time. It was a process.
- 4:31It wasn't like this moment happened. It was more
- 4:34I got to know him because I sought him. And he
- 4:38sought me for sure. Oh, for sure. I think that
- 4:40was 100%. And working in missions, working with
- 4:45my parents, and then finally going on to work.
- 4:48On my own, I've seen the heart of God as he sought
- 4:51me through that and fulfilled my own desires
- 4:54through missions and then also showed me the
- 4:57bigger picture of what missions really is. Amen.
- 5:00And the truth is there's 8 billion people on
- 5:03the planet. He has a mission plan for every one
- 5:06of those 8 billion. We think of the secular sometimes
- 5:09as they're out there, but they're really part
- 5:11of God's plan. They just may not be submitting
- 5:14to God's plan. He has something for all of us.
- 5:18And I say that because we have a danger in evangelism,
- 5:21right, where we think we're different than others.
- 5:26And we are different when we found Jesus in our
- 5:29heart. But when he looks at us, he sees that
- 5:32we're all sinners at different levels, and his
- 5:34desire is for us to all be saved. And I think
- 5:38that's the most amazing part because I think
- 5:40to me when it clicked in a totally different
- 5:42perspective was when I realized that it wasn't
- 5:45the other people who needed my mission. I was
- 5:47the one who needed them for my own salvation,
- 5:49for my own spiritual walk. And so it was a huge
- 5:52perspective shift when I realized I was like,
- 5:54this isn't about me going and helping other people.
- 5:57This is about how other people help me when I'm
- 5:59willing to lay myself aside. And it totally shifts
- 6:02your Christian walk. That's profound. You don't
- 6:04look like a 20 -something when you say that.
- 6:06I mean, you look like a woman who's experienced
- 6:08what many people never experience in their life.
- 6:13And that is the connection to what ministry does
- 6:18for us, what God wants. It's part of the sanctification
- 6:21process. If I can use a big theological word,
- 6:23I hope people will forgive me. But what the sanctification
- 6:26process is, that cleansing comes through meeting
- 6:29other people and knowing their need and giving
- 6:32up self. And it's so, to me, the beautiful...
- 6:37part of it was when I realized that that was
- 6:39exactly what Jesus did for us in a sense. And
- 6:42so it was like the most ironic thing because
- 6:44it's the more you give, the more you actually
- 6:47get. But the more I'm willing to change and be
- 6:49there for the people and do that mission, the
- 6:51more I receive in turn and the more those people
- 6:53will also want to accept Jesus, which is exactly
- 6:56what Jesus did for us. He came here, he changed
- 6:58himself into a man, and that's why I'm willing
- 7:00to change and become closer to him because he
- 7:03changed for me. Isabel, I'm fascinated by your
- 7:06deep understanding. understanding of the gospel.
- 7:07Praise the Lord for that. It's amazing. And you
- 7:09get to experience it on and on and on in ministry
- 7:12and in missions and working with God. And let's
- 7:14be real. We can let that slip. We can let that
- 7:17go away and not stay that focus that we need.
- 7:21So we have to constantly, constantly, constantly
- 7:24be reconnecting, right? Definitely. Definitely.
- 7:28We were talking about your family, your roots.
- 7:31Siblings? I'm the oldest. I have two younger
- 7:34siblings. One is going to start college this
- 7:37year, and another one is starting academy. Okay.
- 7:40Academy being high school for those viewers that
- 7:43aren't familiar with the Adventist culture. We
- 7:45have a lot of folks that are not Seventh -day
- 7:46Adventists, not Christians, that are enjoying
- 7:48the program. So I want to clarify those little
- 7:50details. So when you went to college, And you
- 7:58talked about being involved in missions. How
- 8:00did you connect with CORE? How did that transition
- 8:04happen? So actually from a young age, I had listened
- 8:07to Pastor D. Casper preach. He came to our church,
- 8:10and later on I found out that I did special music
- 8:11the Sabbath that he was preaching at our church.
- 8:13So I was very familiar with CORE and what they
- 8:15were doing. I graduated college, and I had set
- 8:18out to do missions. And I studied theology, and
- 8:22so it's a very Bible -based. study and I didn't
- 8:27really know what I was going to do with it. And
- 8:28I was like, Lord, you know, as a female studying
- 8:30theology, what are you, what do you have in store
- 8:32for me? But there was actually something very
- 8:35interesting that God spoke to me when I was studying,
- 8:37which was, well, if Moses during those 40 years
- 8:43didn't know where he was going to end up, how,
- 8:46like, what right did I have to know what I was
- 8:48going to do with theology? So I was like, Lord,
- 8:50you know, I surrender. I do theology. Use it
- 8:53when in your good time. So I was at a conference,
- 8:57kind of like GC, and Pastor D saw me, and he
- 9:03thought I was someone else. And he was like,
- 9:05hey! how are you doing how's your husband I was
- 9:07like I don't have one of those and he was like
- 9:11wait well didn't you go to this school and I
- 9:13was like yes I did and he's like didn't you do
- 9:14canvassing I was like yes I did and he's like
- 9:16and did you do a medical missionary program and
- 9:18I was like yes I did and he's like that's great
- 9:20because we need an outreach coordinator and I
- 9:22was like you have no idea who I am like I did
- 9:25do the same things that the other person he was
- 9:27thinking of had done And so long story short,
- 9:31we connected and we talked and then I went overseas
- 9:34for missions. And then a year later, I came back
- 9:36and started working at CORE. Amen. And so that's
- 9:39your role now, outreach coordinator. Yes, I work
- 9:41as an outreach coordinator. Isn't it interesting
- 9:42how those divine appointments, even the ones
- 9:44that look messy like that, work out for his plan,
- 9:48right? Yes, it does. All right. I want to learn
- 9:50more about your role as Outreach Coordinator
- 9:51and the work of CORE in just a moment. We're
- 9:53going to take a break. Thank you for our listeners
- 9:55and our viewers who are with us today. Missionsunlight

- 10:18Sunlight Chat. We'll be back in a moment with
- 10:20more. It means transforming a school, orphanage
- 10:48or hospital. It means fire, rain, ice and snow.
- 10:53It means gifts by the dollar and by the check.
- 10:57It means donations that roll and donations that
- 11:01fly. It's a movement on a trail or down a motorway.
- 11:07It means family. All of us together. And individually.
- 11:14It's who you are or who you are becoming. And
- 11:18to her, it's a simple gesture that means hope.
- 11:22Whatever it means to you, being a media missionary
- 11:25means more than you might think. Welcome back
- 11:37to Mission Sunlight Chat here from the General
- 11:39Conference Session Exhibit Hall. Lots of exhibitors
- 11:43here, hundreds, literally hundreds of visitors.
- 11:45And one of those is CORE. That's right. Isabel
- 11:50Santos, you are the Outreach Coordinator for
- 11:54CORE. Tell us what CORE is first, and then tell
- 11:57us what an Outreach Coordinator does. All right.
- 11:59So CORE is a 14 -week discipleship training program
- 12:02in evangelism. And we work with all adults above
- 12:0518 where they come. And during those 14 weeks,
- 12:08they learn more about Christ, more about the
- 12:10Adventist message. And our big focus is seeing
- 12:12Christ at the center of every message. So we
- 12:15love looking and exploring at every single message
- 12:18in the Bible and how it talks about Jesus, how
- 12:21it talks more about the gospel. We do also have
- 12:24a very strong emphasis in mental health. So we
- 12:27work a lot with Adventist mental health professionals
- 12:29where they come and they teach our mental health
- 12:31classes, pairing up mental health and the gospel.
- 12:34And it's a very unique blend because when you
- 12:36use mental health and the gospel, it allows for
- 12:38the person to not only grow stronger spiritually,
- 12:41but also mentally. And then we also have our
- 12:44physical health classes and the classes on health
- 12:46evangelism where the person also learns how to
- 12:48grow stronger. physically so you have a unique
- 12:51blend of the spiritual the mental and the physical
- 12:55there's where you can grow and learn more about
- 12:57yourself about Christ and about also how to reach
- 13:01other people so we do a lot of evangelism Two
- 13:04days a week we go out and we knock on doors and
- 13:06we give Bible studies. And we do bridge events
- 13:09where we do cooking classes and mental health
- 13:12seminars as well. And an evangelistic series
- 13:15where the students learn about an evangelistic
- 13:17cycle and how to run an evangelism program as
- 13:20well. Amen. So fascinating program. So you're
- 13:24working there as an outreach coordinator. I can
- 13:26imagine what that is, but don't let me imagine.
- 13:29Tell me what that work involves. So as an outreach
- 13:31coordinator, I get to work with the students
- 13:33and helping them understand the evangelism, not
- 13:37only in theory, but also in practice. So logistical
- 13:40things as like, how do I choose a territory to
- 13:43go knock at doors? And how do I answer different
- 13:46questions? And how do I survey people? How do
- 13:48I answer these questions? How do I text them?
- 13:51leave them hanging but also not hanging too much
- 13:54so that they're they'll want more but at the
- 13:56same time they don't feel like i just drop them
- 13:59and i don't really have anything to say so i
- 14:01work more with that logistical aspect helping
- 14:03the students be able to understand how it works
- 14:06but also do it themselves because our goal is
- 14:08that the student not only learns the skill but
- 14:11learns also how to lead themselves so that they
- 14:13can lead other people in the evangelism and in
- 14:15the field as well wow so you're really helping
- 14:21We talked about God having a plan. You're really
- 14:23helping students as they begin that journey to
- 14:25see what God's plan is because the various aspects
- 14:31of CORE, the various aspects of outreach are,
- 14:34you might go this way with it, you might go this
- 14:37way with it, or you might go in. It helps them
- 14:39kind of pull. I'm going to use a bad comparison.
- 14:45It's like a doctor who's... going into the different
- 14:47disciplines in the hospital, kind of trying to
- 14:50figure out which one appeals to them the most.
- 14:52Some of them will know this is the area I want
- 14:54to go into, or others want to test the waters
- 14:55and see. So you're kind of giving them that opportunity
- 14:57to test the waters and the various aspects of
- 14:59outreach coordinating. Maybe they're better with
- 15:02preaching, maybe they're better with books, or
- 15:05they're better with... whatever area of evangelism.
- 15:08You're really helping them find their niche.
- 15:10Yes, and helping them be able to develop even
- 15:13a little bit outside of their niche. So being
- 15:15able to understand like, okay, door -to -door
- 15:17is not my thing. And that idea is building a
- 15:19well -rounded portfolio. Yes, and how can I actually
- 15:22enjoy it? What are different ways that I can
- 15:24do it? where it feels less of a checklist thing
- 15:28to do, but more of a friendly and engaging way.
- 15:30So we go over those ways with students. So all
- 15:33the students are required to do are evangelism
- 15:35from door to door, Bible studies and public speaking.
- 15:38And it's great because they grow outside their
- 15:42comfort zone and they're able to develop more.
- 15:44So there are a lot of students that come and
- 15:46I've had students that came and they were doing
- 15:48the public speaking and they were hitting themselves
- 15:50in the face because they were so nervous and
- 15:52they wanted to start crying. And that was the
- 15:54first. presentation they do and then you come
- 15:56to the last presentation that person is speaking
- 15:58so eloquently comfortably because they've not
- 16:00only learned the skills and the tools they were
- 16:03mentored through it and they also were able to
- 16:06learn from an experience that came from themselves
- 16:09in their own Christian walk with Christ so the
- 16:13articulateness comes from not only practicing
- 16:15but from peace and finding that in Jesus yeah
- 16:20yes what a blessing What else is going on at
- 16:24CORE? So at CORE, one of our great things that
- 16:28I, one of our favorite things at CORE is the
- 16:31Three Angels message. And I'm going to touch
- 16:33on this a little bit because when you go to Revelation
- 16:3514 and you look at the Three Angels message,
- 16:37do you remember what the first message of the
- 16:40Three Angel message is? Oh, wow, you're going
- 16:43to hit me with this. It's about worship and salvation.
- 16:47Yes. And when you look at the three angels message,
- 16:50it says first that the angel comes having the
- 16:53everlasting gospel. Right. And that we kind of
- 16:56skim through it and then go to the message of
- 16:58fear God and give glory to him. But the reality
- 17:01is people will only ever fear God and give glory
- 17:04to him if they understand the everlasting gospel.
- 17:06So we like to focus a lot on that story of the
- 17:09everlasting gospel, seeing how Christ. story
- 17:11connects to our story and that way you bring
- 17:14in a whole new relationship aspect because you
- 17:17not only see your story of how I was separated
- 17:20from God and how now I'm suffering the consequences
- 17:22of sin but how God was separated from me and
- 17:25how he suffers the consequences of sin as well
- 17:27and that whole dynamic change is kind of what
- 17:29we were talking about later it removed or earlier
- 17:32right it removes us from this perspective of
- 17:35how it's about me and I'm the one having more
- 17:38and giving to other people to the place where
- 17:40like I'm giving, but actually I'm getting so
- 17:43much more in return because it's these people
- 17:46who are blessing me. The amount that I'm blessing
- 17:48them is so small in comparison to the amount
- 17:51that I've been blessed, being blessed as well.
- 17:53And so when we remove all our focus so much from
- 17:56our own experience and how I need to do all of
- 17:59these things to seeing Christ experience. naturally
- 18:03our obedience falls into place and naturally
- 18:05our love for Jesus grows even bigger. And that's
- 18:08one of the amazing components of CORE, being
- 18:10able to set that time aside to understand what
- 18:13the Adventist message is all about, what loving
- 18:15Jesus is all about, because we look at how Christ
- 18:18has first loved us. The Bible has such hope for
- 18:21us. I would dare say it's not just the Adventist
- 18:24message. It's the message of God to his people.
- 18:26Yes, 100%. The three angels' messages of Revelation
- 18:2914. I like to summarize them this way. I thought
- 18:32you were going, which we touched on a little
- 18:34bit. Three S's. Salvation, sin, sinfulness, and
- 18:40sound doctrine. As we move from one angel's message
- 18:44to another angel's message, as we worship him,
- 18:46because it says in the first... Worship him who
- 18:51made heaven and earth. Yes. We find our salvation
- 18:54in our creator God because he's the maker of
- 18:57heaven and earth. Right. And we recognize sinfulness
- 19:00and we want to stay away from it. And Satan's
- 19:03big deception is that sin isn't really sin. You
- 19:06know, there's all kinds of twists and turns that
- 19:08he tries to make sin look OK. That's why it's
- 19:11called Babylon. It feels good. And then, OK,
- 19:14when we move beyond that sin. we need to replace
- 19:17it with something. We need to replace it with
- 19:19sound doctrine, right? So as I'm listening to
- 19:23you talk about salvation, you're not only giving
- 19:26these people something that blesses you, but
- 19:31you're turning them into disciple makers who
- 19:34are then going to be blessed. You say it's something
- 19:36small, something big for you. But when they start
- 19:40practicing that in return. then that bigness
- 19:43comes to them, right? It increases. That's what
- 19:45disciple making is. Yes, and it grows their own
- 19:47experience with Christ as well. CORE is training
- 19:50disciples to be disciple makers. That is correct.
- 19:53Who will then train... disciples to be disciple
- 19:57makers yes who will then train disciples you
- 20:00got the idea yes and that's the way you grow
- 20:02because you influence one person that is able
- 20:05to influence more people that are able to influence
- 20:08more people and your impact just grows up the
- 20:10true ripple effect yes that's correct yeah and
- 20:13i i like to say we can't all be mark finley's
- 20:16but we never know when the next mark finley is
- 20:19going to stand up so somebody we're sharing jesus
- 20:22with some young adult might end up being that
- 20:25person who has, or Alejandro Bullion, did I say
- 20:30it? From South America. Make sure I use somebody
- 20:32from that context as well. Thank you so much
- 20:36for sharing about CORE. We're going to come back
- 20:37in a moment and learn just a little bit more.
- 20:39Thank you for being a part of our program today.
- 20:41You want to connect with us, missionsunlight
- 20:43.org. Text us 1 -423 -855 -4877. And of course,
- 20:48hello at missionsunlight .org is the email to
- 20:50connect with us. We'll be back in a moment with
- 20:52more Mission Sunlight Chat. Our salvation is
- 21:04a day -to -day matter, isn't it? The real principle
- 21:09of the Sabbath is reconnecting ourselves with
- 21:14the Creator. We must learn to abide in Jesus
- 21:20now. We move ahead with our mission objectives,
- 21:23recognizing that we are serving together the
- 21:26Most High God. Welcome back to Mission Sunlight
- 21:41Chat from the General Conference Session Exhibit
- 21:43Hall with hundreds of exhibitors here. One of
- 21:47them, Core Evangelism, and our guest today, Isabel
- 21:51Santos. Isabel, you with Core have a number of
- 21:57opportunities to train. Are you doing all those,
- 22:01U and D, or what's that team look like? This
- 22:04is an exciting part of our program because we
- 22:06get a lot of international speakers as some of
- 22:09our teachers. So we have teachers like Sebastian
- 22:11Braxton and Dr. Eric Walsh. These are people
- 22:14who usually speak to very big groups of people,
- 22:16but they come and they separate that time to
- 22:18come and teach classes at CORE, which not only
- 22:21gives an opportunity to hear an amazing, eloquent
- 22:23speaker who has been speaking about Jesus for
- 22:26so long, but it also gives the student a network
- 22:28and professional link. development opportunity
- 22:31as well so they are able to connect with that
- 22:33teacher and learn about their ministry and how
- 22:35God has led them as well in their things and
- 22:38so usually within a week we have two to three
- 22:40different teachers that come and teach different
- 22:42classes they're all professionals in their expertise
- 22:44in their area and so they are experts in let's
- 22:49say you know theological field or health field
- 22:51or mental health field and they'll come and they'll
- 22:53share and they have that time to bond with the
- 22:55students as well. Wow and when When they come,
- 23:01is there like one -on -one time then? Yes. So
- 23:04if the student would like, they can ask the teacher
- 23:06to come and like, hey, I want to speak to you.
- 23:08There are times during the meals that the teachers
- 23:11will eat with the students as well. And these
- 23:13are people with significant experience in evangelism
- 23:16and outreach. So that's a real blessing. Yes.
- 23:18Whereas if they showed up at a camp meeting,
- 23:20it might be hard to get two minutes with somebody
- 23:22like that. They have this opportunity during
- 23:24the program. That's a powerful moment. That's
- 23:26great. Yeah. What else is going on with CORE?
- 23:29You said you've changed the structure from, I
- 23:32think it was nine months when I heard, when I've
- 23:35talked with Dee and I've actually been with one
- 23:37of his teams in Cuba. Yes, yes. So now it's a
- 23:39shortened time. Yes. One of our chief complaints
- 23:41was always, I don't have the money or I don't
- 23:43have the time, right? And so we're like, what
- 23:44can we do to be able to reach more people? And
- 23:47so we've been able to shorten the program to
- 23:4914 weeks, which is considerably shorter, right?
- 23:52Which also means that it's less of a financial
- 23:54commitment. But we were also able to keep most
- 23:57of our classes and still give breathing room
- 24:00for the students to be able to process what's
- 24:02going on. So it's 14 weeks. It happens once in
- 24:05a year in the fall from August to November. And
- 24:08students can come. They can learn. They'll have
- 24:10that time there and they can continue on developing
- 24:13whether they're going to go to the mission field
- 24:15or they're going to go back home to school or
- 24:17to work. They're able to leave with a spiritual
- 24:19boost and understanding more about God and how
- 24:21they can continue to share him wherever they're
- 24:24called to be. Do you anticipate it moving to
- 24:26having two sessions a year or three sessions
- 24:28a year at 14? If God opens the door for that,
- 24:30of course we'll go there. Okay. Yes, yes. And
- 24:33we have... One of our sayings at CORE we love
- 24:37the most is that we want students to own their
- 24:40faith. Yes. And we want them to find their calling
- 24:43and go change the world wherever God calls them.
- 24:45Amen. Yes. Where are some of your students going
- 24:49when they leave CORE? I have an internship program
- 24:52also. Some of our students want to learn more
- 24:55about agriculture or medical missionary work
- 24:58or just ministry and how do you operate a ministry.
- 25:01And so we have partnership with different ministries
- 25:02around the U .S. where a student is able to go
- 25:05and not only start serving actively, but also
- 25:08continue learning and receiving mentorship from
- 25:10core staff. So they go to these places and they
- 25:13get hands -on training. They're there working
- 25:15already and they get to network with the people
- 25:17where they're from now or where they're working
- 25:19at. And, of course, as we know, internships can
- 25:22often turn into opportunities. Oh, yes. And our
- 25:25students have loved it. Some students are looking
- 25:27now forward to staying there and working there
- 25:30and learning more about that job as well. What's
- 25:33your favorite part of being at CORE? My favorite
- 25:36part about being at CORE is seeing a life -transforming
- 25:39experience. You know, we say CORE is a life -transforming
- 25:42experience, not because we're audacious and we
- 25:44think we have the truth and the only truth. truth
- 25:46and the pure truth but because when you stop
- 25:48and study the word and you see people who come
- 25:50and dedicate that time to studying God's word
- 25:52and to be mentored and to be discipled you see
- 25:55a transformation in their hearts and the way
- 25:57they think about God and the way they start relating
- 25:59to God and the way they start relating to other
- 26:02people as well as they go out it becomes a lifestyle
- 26:05where you just share your faith because your
- 26:08cup is overflowing amen you know before you go
- 26:12I want to ask you just Share an encouraging word
- 26:14with our listeners and viewers. Of course, it's
- 26:16my privilege. There's a verse in Revelation 14,
- 26:20verse 12. Revelation 14, verse 12, it says, Here
- 26:23is the patience of the saints. Here are those
- 26:25who keep the commandments of God and the faith
- 26:28of Jesus. When we look at Jesus, we don't really
- 26:30think of him needing to have faith. I mean, faith
- 26:33is, you know, evidence of things not seen, right?
- 26:37Something that we hope for. But Jesus has faith.
- 26:41And he has faith specifically in us. And he has
- 26:44that faith and he demonstrated that faith in
- 26:46us when he died on the cross. Because he had
- 26:48faith that someone one day would look at his
- 26:50great sacrifice and say, I want it. Even though
- 26:53when we were far away from him, when we walked
- 26:55away from the Garden of Eden, because we didn't
- 26:57want to have anything to do with it. When we
- 26:59sinned and when we went against his word, he
- 27:01has faith that we will turn to him. And in those
- 27:04darkest moments of your life, when you feel like,
- 27:06oh no. I don't have faith in myself. I'm not
- 27:09going to be able to make it. This mission thing
- 27:11is too hard and there's trials around you and
- 27:13you feel down in the low. Jesus has faith in
- 27:16you. He will go there and he will catch you.
- 27:18And it's that faith that in turn will breed in
- 27:21you a faith for him as well. Amen. You preach.
- 27:26I do. I want to come sometime when you're at
- 27:29a church speaking. It would be an honor. Isabel
- 27:33Santos, thanks so much for joining us from CORE.
- 27:35It's been a blessing to hear your testimony.
- 27:37Jordan, would you wrap up our program today with
- 27:39a word of prayer? Sure thing. Let's have prayer.
- 27:44Dear Holy Father, we thank you for this opportunity
- 27:46to talk to CORE and hear the different things
- 27:49that are happening there, the exciting things
- 27:52and the lives that are being changed that will
- 27:55in turn change more lives. I pray that you'll
- 27:57continue to bless this ministry. as they move
- 28:00to a model where they can, in a sense, get more
- 28:03people through and change more lives. And please
- 28:07bless them as they move down this path. As people
- 28:11are listening, too, if they are hearing, just
- 28:14hearing about this program, I pray that you will
- 28:18encourage them, if it's something that they're
- 28:19interested in going into, to take the step out
- 28:22in faith and connect with CORE. a similar program
- 28:28that is along the path of what they're looking
- 28:31for and encourage them to have a stronger relationship
- 28:34with you. That's what we're all looking for,
- 28:36Lord, and looking for your soon return. We pray
- 28:41that you'll keep us until then. In your name,
- 28:42amen. Amen. Thanks for joining us for this Mission
