- 1:21Speaker 1: Before we get into the major games, we just got
- 1:24Speaker 1: to talk about these storylines. These storylines to me are wild.
- 1:27Speaker 1: How about the injuries again? Devon Echan, knee, reports are
- 1:32Speaker 1: not looking good. Justin Jefferson, ankle, Kyler Murray's first start,
- 1:36Speaker 1: he was out. Mike Evans, ribs got carted off. Trent Williams, stinger,
- 1:40Speaker 1: carted off. We're going to talk about the 49ers and
- 1:41Speaker 1: the injuries. That's the only thing I think that can
- 1:44Speaker 1: hold them back. And then also Deshaun Watson found his
- 1:47Speaker 1: clutch gene again. What are we doing? What happened to
- 1:50Speaker 1: Drake May? He's gotten worse. Justin Herbert, come on. Cam Ward,
- 1:56Speaker 1: horrible interception at the end. How about Marcus Mariota? Blast
- 2:01Speaker 1: from the past. And Trevor Lawrence is the MVP. And
- 2:03Speaker 1: Texas and Chargers are all in three. We're going to
- 2:05Speaker 1: get into all of those. But first, we are going
- 2:08Speaker 1: to get into the biggest games. And boy, Ravens versus
- 2:12Speaker 1: the Cowboys. I couldn't believe the end. Lamar Jackson completely
- 2:18Speaker 1: showed up in the second half. But how about just
- 2:20Speaker 1: the ending of that game? First of all, we're going
- 2:22Speaker 1: to go through this. But Nate Wiggins versus CeeDee Lamb.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Nate Wiggins gets called for that DPI. Are you kidding me?
- 2:30Speaker 1: That is unbelievable. I thought for sure it was the OPI.
- 2:34Speaker 1: They hooked hands. And from the angle that everyone saw,
- 2:38Speaker 1: it was like, oh, it's so easy. Twitter went crazy.
- 2:41Speaker 1: And then, unfortunately, in the very next play, I think
- 2:43Speaker 1: they get it at the two or three Dallas Cowboys
- 2:45Speaker 1: false start and go back. It's the biggest ball don't
- 2:47Speaker 1: lie moment. Ever the Cowboys then end up kicking a
- 2:50Speaker 1: field goal to tie it. I thought the Cowboys were
- 2:53Speaker 1: going to win. I mean, Dak Prescott looked unbelievable in
- 2:56Speaker 1: the second half. It's just a master class on how
- 3:00Speaker 1: you play quarterback in that game because you see him
- 3:04Speaker 1: at the line of scrimmage. He's his best, in my opinion,
- 3:06Speaker 1: when he's at the line of scrimmage, changing plays, going
- 3:10Speaker 1: from left to right and figuring it out. CeeDee Lamb,
- 3:13Speaker 1: George Pickens, they look really good. Here's the thing. They
- 3:16Speaker 1: did everything right. And then this Dallas Cowboys defense, which
- 3:19Speaker 1: has been absolutely decimated, decimated with injuries, led up a completion.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Everyone's heard about the 13 second and everyone saw the
- 3:29Speaker 1: 13 second Patrick Mahomes Chiefs left Travis Kelsey versus the
- 3:33Speaker 1: Chiefs and they were able to win it. Well, guess what?
- 3:36Speaker 1: Lamar Jackson won. needed seven seconds because the Dallas Cowboys
- 3:40Speaker 1: left the middle of the field wide open when the
- 3:43Speaker 1: Ravens had a timeout. They were in protect the sideline
- 3:46Speaker 1: defense when they had a timeout. Christian Parker, what are
- 3:49Speaker 1: we doing? It made no sense to me whatsoever. And
- 3:54Speaker 1: then the loop kid, I mean, how about that? From
- 3:56Speaker 1: the Metroplex of Dallas, kicks a 56 or 57 yard
- 4:00Speaker 1: field goal as time expires. I also thought JJ Watt,
- 4:03Speaker 1: who was calling that game, was excellent at the end
- 4:06Speaker 1: of game and just everything that they needed to do.
- 4:08Speaker 1: He was right on it. Lamar in Brazil gets it done.
- 4:13Speaker 1: I don't know how you say cerveza in Portuguese, but
- 4:16Speaker 1: they are going to be having a lot of beers
- 4:18Speaker 1: on that plane ride back. And then For the Ravens,
- 4:21Speaker 1: thank you just for not playing with your food. You
- 4:24Speaker 1: gave Derrick Henry the football. After only giving him the
- 4:27Speaker 1: football five times in the second half of your loss
- 4:30Speaker 1: to the Saints, very easily the Ravens could be 3-0.
- 4:32Speaker 1: But how about the job just Jesse Minter has done
- 4:37Speaker 1: with the Baltimore Ravens and getting these boys, Declan Doyle,
- 4:40Speaker 1: excellent game plan. Lamar Jackson, a little bit in the
- 4:44Speaker 1: first half. I think they threw it like seven to
- 4:46Speaker 1: eight times in the first half. They were getting that
- 4:49Speaker 1: run game going. Once again, was really surprised with the Cowboys.
- 4:52Speaker 1: I thought offensively they looked good, but they looked lethargic
- 4:55Speaker 1: through three quarters, and that's to be expected in Brazil.
- 4:58Speaker 1: I'm honestly, I'm an NFL Players Association rep. I'm honestly
- 5:01Speaker 1: very surprised that they ended up playing this field, on
- 5:06Speaker 1: this field. The field conditions were really poor. But I
- 5:10Speaker 1: guess you go down there all the time and you
- 5:12Speaker 1: end up doing it. But what this means for the Ravens,
- 5:16Speaker 1: first of all, they're two and one. NFC North Ravens
- 5:19Speaker 1: lost to the Steelers today which we'll get into excuse
- 5:21Speaker 1: me the the Bengals lost to the Steelers today which
- 5:24Speaker 1: we will get into it but the Ravens are now
- 5:26Speaker 1: two and one let Derrick Henry just roll like that
- 5:29Speaker 1: that's how you continue to win these football games and
- 5:32Speaker 1: what it means for Dallas is Dallas had the game
- 5:35Speaker 1: under control the entire day if you cannot fix your
- 5:39Speaker 1: defense you will not win many games at all. And
- 5:43Speaker 1: then honestly, like I was writing this as the Cowboys
- 5:46Speaker 1: were driving down and it's about to send it out
- 5:48Speaker 1: to Twitter and out to the world. I'm glad I didn't.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Although I still think it actually fits is that Jake Ferguson, baller,
- 5:55Speaker 1: three touchdowns in the last two weeks, I believe. CeeDee
- 5:59Speaker 1: Lamb and George Pickens, that could be one of the
- 6:01Speaker 1: better three-headed monsters and trio really in all of ball,
- 6:06Speaker 1: including a tight end in those top two receivers. Those
- 6:08Speaker 1: top two receivers, I think had 18 to 19 targets
- 6:10Speaker 1: between him Between them, that's what they need to do.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Dallas ran for over 100 yards, and yet they still
- 6:17Speaker 1: lose the game. This was by far the game of
- 6:20Speaker 1: the weekend. All right, let's get on to the Bills
- 6:23Speaker 1: versus the Chargers. I mean, I don't know if this
- 6:26Speaker 1: is the definition of Chargering, but I think it is.
- 6:29Speaker 1: The Chargers got five takeaways from the Bills and only
- 6:35Speaker 1: scored 16 points. Josh Allen threw two picks, had a
- 6:37Speaker 1: lost fumble. James Cook, I mean, completely... Went off 21 carries.
- 6:42Speaker 1: I think it was like a buck 41 plus a touchdown.
- 6:45Speaker 1: The only thing that I come out of this entire
- 6:48Speaker 1: game thinking is, and I'm a big Justin Herbert fan,
- 6:52Speaker 1: is that this may be the low point of Justin
- 6:55Speaker 1: Herbert's career. They are now 0-3. They lose to the Raiders.
- 7:01Speaker 1: They lose to the Cardinals and the slate does not
- 7:05Speaker 1: get any easier whatsoever here. And you go onto the
- 7:10Speaker 1: road and you're actually hanging with, which I think is
- 7:13Speaker 1: the best team in the AFC. You're hanging with them.
- 7:16Speaker 1: You get five takeaways and you're not able to do it.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Since 2013, just get this stat. Teams with five plus
- 7:25Speaker 1: turnovers and a minus four turnover differential, which means The
- 7:29Speaker 1: Chargers turn over one, so you're plus four on the day.
- 7:31Speaker 1: You're getting four more takeaways than you are turnovers. They
- 7:35Speaker 1: are 3-81-1 straight up. Those three wins. This is the
- 7:41Speaker 1: definition of Chargering, ladies and gentlemen. I cannot believe this
- 7:44Speaker 1: stat when I put it up. The Bills beat the
- 7:47Speaker 1: Chargers today. There's only been three wins. The Jags over
- 7:51Speaker 1: the Chargers, which, by the way, I was a part of.
- 7:53Speaker 1: That was a divisional round wildcard game. In Jacksonville is
- 7:57Speaker 1: my last game of my entire NFL career. We were
- 7:59Speaker 1: up 35 to like seven. At one point we came
- 8:03Speaker 1: back and somehow lost that game. And then the Broncos
- 8:06Speaker 1: over the charger. So you're right. The chargers have been
- 8:09Speaker 1: a part of the three wins. Oh, by the way,
- 8:12Speaker 1: they weren't the three wins. They were the team on
- 8:14Speaker 1: the other end of it. So I don't know what
- 8:18Speaker 1: you want. Like, this is the game that was supposed
- 8:20Speaker 1: to turn around the season. for the Chargers, and now
- 8:25Speaker 1: they go on an absolute gauntlet run. They need to
- 8:30Speaker 1: fix it. They have somewhat of a run game, but
- 8:33Speaker 1: it's really not there. Ladd McConkie's not playing well. Quinton Johnson,
- 8:37Speaker 1: multiple drops. I mean, tell me that Justin Herbert needs
- 8:42Speaker 1: some more help. And I'll be like, I don't want
- 8:43Speaker 1: to make excuses for him. He doesn't need more help,
- 8:47Speaker 1: but he needs somewhat of a deep threat. They have
- 8:50Speaker 1: nothing to run past the Bills. The Bills are just
- 8:53Speaker 1: sitting there waiting on them. And I don't know if
- 8:56Speaker 1: you guys watched the game. If you did, thank you
- 9:00Speaker 1: for watching the recap. But Tom Brady called the game
- 9:04Speaker 1: and he called out Justin Herbert's interception. He said, it's awful.
- 9:08Speaker 1: It's poor recognition. It's poor decision-making. It's all this stuff.
- 9:12Speaker 1: And he called it a meatball sub, the interception down
- 9:14Speaker 1: the middle. And I would agree with that. It just
- 9:17Speaker 1: was not great. On the opposite side of the ball,
- 9:21Speaker 1: Josh Allen and their Bills had their worst offensive game
- 9:24Speaker 1: of the year, but they were able to find a
- 9:26Speaker 1: way to win. Josh Allen has been in my top
- 9:28Speaker 1: six quarterbacks that I do on the breakdown, which comes
- 9:30Speaker 1: out tomorrow on Tuesday. We do these top six quarterback breakdowns.
- 9:35Speaker 1: He's been on the top six the entire time. He
- 9:38Speaker 1: played like crap today. But these are the type of
- 9:40Speaker 1: wins that you remember in December and come playoff time.
- 9:44Speaker 1: You have to win games today. You're not supposed to.
- 9:46Speaker 1: I guarantee you no one on those Bills thought they
- 9:48Speaker 1: were going to win after the fifth turnover. But here's
- 9:51Speaker 1: the difference. It's the Bills defense that held the opposition,
- 9:56Speaker 1: held the Chargers to only 16 points off five turnovers.
- 9:59Speaker 1: the bills defense carried him jim leonard the defense coordinator
- 10:02Speaker 1: love him like that's how you can win you know
- 10:05Speaker 1: josh allen ain't gonna have games like this constantly like
- 10:08Speaker 1: the bill scored 24 and you win awesome like this
- 10:11Speaker 1: is this is great um josh allen also i mean
- 10:14Speaker 1: like two more rushing touchdowns which puts them 17th all
- 10:17Speaker 1: time He's a quarterback, by the way, with 85 total games.
- 10:22Speaker 1: I just think it was, in general, a very ugly game.
- 10:24Speaker 1: I thought the Chargers should have won it. So what
- 10:26Speaker 1: this means for the Bills, they can win the ugly game.
- 10:29Speaker 1: They can win these games. These are the type of,
- 10:31Speaker 1: in a wide-open AFC year, the Chiefs are 3-0. The Bengals,
- 10:35Speaker 1: I think, are up there. Some other teams are up there.
- 10:38Speaker 1: The Bills are 3-0. And when they go to the
- 10:41Speaker 1: one seed, which I think they could get the one
- 10:43Speaker 1: seed if they continue winning, obviously, like, they're going to
- 10:45Speaker 1: remember this game, this Chargers game, and like, hey, we
- 10:47Speaker 1: won an ugly game. And then we already hit it
- 10:50Speaker 1: on what this means for the Chargers. Like, they're 0-3.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Only two teams since 2002 have made the playoffs after
- 10:57Speaker 1: starting 0-3, and one time last year was the Texans.
- 11:00Speaker 1: I don't want to officially call the Chargers season over,
- 11:03Speaker 1: but the Chargers season is probably over.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Over.
- 11:06Speaker 1: All right, let's get into the very next game. Steelers
- 11:08Speaker 1: versus the Bengals. Who expected this? Not me. Steelers 30,
- 11:14Speaker 1: Bengals 27. How about Aaron Rodgers? Like a blast from
- 11:18Speaker 1: the past. The dude played really well, but ultimately, looking
- 11:24Speaker 1: at it from just a top-down perspective, this looked like
- 11:27Speaker 1: the Bengals of last year. They couldn't get a stop,
- 11:31Speaker 1: and they throw it away at the end. Joe Burrow
- 11:35Speaker 1: I was going to have you at number one on
- 11:38Speaker 1: my quarterback list this week, but unfortunately, I don't even
- 11:41Speaker 1: think you're going to make it because you should just
- 11:45Speaker 1: take that sack at the end of the game. You're out.
- 11:47Speaker 1: You're scrambling to your left. You're trying to make a play.
- 11:51Speaker 1: You're trying to throw it away, and then the defensive
- 11:54Speaker 1: tackle just beats Dalton Risner just wide open. You've got
- 11:57Speaker 1: to figure out to not give the game away. Love
- 12:02Speaker 1: the fact that T Higgins and Jamar Chase had 17
- 12:04Speaker 1: combined targets between them. I think they might've even had more,
- 12:07Speaker 1: but the Bengals, you have this back and forth battle,
- 12:09Speaker 1: this AFC North, you knew it was going to be
- 12:11Speaker 1: a dog fight. They have still one of the easiest
- 12:13Speaker 1: schedules in the entire, um, AFC, really entire thing. Your
- 12:19Speaker 1: defense is supposed to be playing better. Like that Texans
- 12:22Speaker 1: game just tells me, oh, the Texans defense sucks. Like
- 12:24Speaker 1: I thought you were different a little bit. I just
- 12:27Speaker 1: think the defense is back to their old form. Joe Burrell,
- 12:31Speaker 1: bright side other than the turnover, like 28 to 37,
- 12:35Speaker 1: 282 and three touchdowns. And then on the other side
- 12:38Speaker 1: of the ball, let's go Rodgers. Like not a lot
- 12:41Speaker 1: of people probably thought Rodgers had this in him. He
- 12:44Speaker 1: ended up going, where is it at? Um, he ended
- 12:48Speaker 1: up throwing for a bunch of yards and touchdowns. And
- 12:50Speaker 1: here's the thing. Um, DK Metcalf, you got to get going.
- 12:54Speaker 1: It's not that hard. Like you have to script this out.
- 12:57Speaker 1: If you want to continue to be the player that
- 13:00Speaker 1: you are, like you have to end up throwing the
- 13:04Speaker 1: football to your number one guy. Here it is. Rogers
- 13:06Speaker 1: 19 to 34, two 92, three touchdowns. Jalen Warren looked really,
- 13:09Speaker 1: really good to me. If they can get that run
- 13:11Speaker 1: game going with Mike McCarthy, 127 yards on the ground,
- 13:15Speaker 1: it's going to be awesome. but also the Bengals shot
- 13:18Speaker 1: themselves in the foot with a special teams play. You
- 13:20Speaker 1: can't win games like that, but kudos to the Steelers.
- 13:25Speaker 1: I wouldn't really talk about the Steelers until they ended
- 13:27Speaker 1: up beating this Bengals team. Steelers, I believe, two and one.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Rodgers can still sling it. In Steelers fashion, their defense
- 13:33Speaker 1: still carries this team, but if the Steelers can score 30,
- 13:37Speaker 1: even with the help of their defense, they're going to
- 13:39Speaker 1: be hard to beat. Like I really love their skill players.
- 13:42Speaker 1: I think it's a good young nucleus. Roger showed he
- 13:44Speaker 1: can play and what it means for the losers. Nothing.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Bengals are now two and one, uh, kind of the
- 13:50Speaker 1: opposite of the sealers. The offense has to continue to
- 13:52Speaker 1: carry the team, the defense. All right, I get it.
- 13:56Speaker 1: But if you can block Dexter Lawrence, you, you got
- 13:59Speaker 1: to figure something out. Like you just saw the sealers
- 14:01Speaker 1: double teaming Dexter Lawrence all day long. Um, and Joe
- 14:05Speaker 1: needs to score on almost every single possession because the
- 14:07Speaker 1: first two weeks, uh, May have been a fluke for
- 14:10Speaker 1: their defense. I'm not sure, but I think they could
- 14:12Speaker 1: probably get a little bit better. But how about the Steelers?
- 14:16Speaker 1: Hats off to that. That was one of my favorite
- 14:18Speaker 1: games to watch because it was just back and forth. Really,
- 14:20Speaker 1: all the games were. Here's another sneaky good game, in
- 14:23Speaker 1: my opinion. Vikings versus the Buccaneers. Kyler Murray first start.
- 14:28Speaker 1: And boy, was this game ugly. Vikings ended up winning 23-16.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Thought it was up and down. Just looked okay. Had
- 14:34Speaker 1: this one underthrown deep shot that he ended up scoring
- 14:37Speaker 1: a touchdown on. overall, just in general, like I'm a quarterback.
- 14:41Speaker 1: We're going to talk about quarterback play. It was really
- 14:43Speaker 1: bad quarterback play from Baker. Baker, obviously, that's the thing
- 14:47Speaker 1: I'm a little bit worried about. The Bucs are 0-3.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Baker's probably going to miss some time. Just came out
- 14:53Speaker 1: like dislocated right thumb. And when you're holding a football,
- 14:58Speaker 1: like that's the one hand and one finger or digit,
- 15:03Speaker 1: whatever you would say, that if you do dislocate, It's
- 15:07Speaker 1: so much about your grip and your thumb. And so
- 15:10Speaker 1: if your thumb can't grip it as much, it's harder
- 15:12Speaker 1: to throw a spiral. It's harder to even hold on
- 15:14Speaker 1: to the ball. Like I'd almost have my pinky or
- 15:16Speaker 1: my ring finger dislocated. But the thumb to me causes issues.
- 15:21Speaker 1: I think he's going to probably miss some time. You
- 15:23Speaker 1: can maybe tape it. It depends on where it is.
- 15:25Speaker 1: I don't want to say much more about that. But
- 15:27Speaker 1: the Bucs are 0-3. Ultimately, and you lose your quarterback,
- 15:31Speaker 1: the season's over. How are you going to, like, the
- 15:34Speaker 1: Saints look good, the Panthers look good, even though they lost. Like,
- 15:37Speaker 1: I know they lost. A lot of teams in that
- 15:39Speaker 1: division lost today. But even with Baker, here's the thing.
- 15:45Speaker 1: The Bucks have really good skill players. Listen to what
- 15:49Speaker 1: they were on third down. They faced third and 36,
- 15:51Speaker 1: third and 29, third and 17, and third and 16.
- 15:56Speaker 1: That is called the definition of playing behind the six.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Now you have a undrafted rookie, Jalen Daniels, who's probably
- 16:02Speaker 1: going to have to start. Maybe he uses his legs.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Maybe you get going. But these teams, only two since 2002,
- 16:09Speaker 1: have made the playoffs. And then I think this isn't
- 16:14Speaker 1: a hot take, but I do think that the Vikings
- 16:19Speaker 1: overall Their defense and special teams carry them. However, listen
- 16:24Speaker 1: to this. I think the Vikings defense may be the
- 16:27Speaker 1: best unit in all of football, offensively or defensively. Brian
- 16:32Speaker 1: Flores does things to opposing offensive coordinators and quarterbacks that
- 16:37Speaker 1: you could only have nightmares about. I'm not just saying
- 16:39Speaker 1: that because I've lived it before. I've lived this pressure
- 16:42Speaker 1: where they're all seven up or they're all eight up
- 16:44Speaker 1: and your quarterback having to understand, hey, where do I
- 16:47Speaker 1: put this mic ID? Where do I put this protection?
- 16:50Speaker 1: Like it just puts you in a blender mentally. And
- 16:54Speaker 1: when you're up there trying to figure it out, it's
- 16:57Speaker 1: just really hard. So somehow, someway, the Vikings are 3-0.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Carson Wentz obviously got the first two wins of the year.
- 17:04Speaker 1: This is Kyler Murray's first game back. Just okay. Like
- 17:06Speaker 1: the third quarter featured nine possessions total between these two.
- 17:11Speaker 1: This is how bad of football this is. The other
- 17:13Speaker 1: games were really good. They featured nine possessions, three first downs,
- 17:18Speaker 1: 27 total yards. Talk about bad football. But if you
- 17:22Speaker 1: cannot turn the football over, if you're the Vikings, you're
- 17:25Speaker 1: going to win some games. Also, we talked about it
- 17:27Speaker 1: in the very open, like Justin Jefferson, ankle, how bad
- 17:30Speaker 1: is it? How much time will he miss? Jordan Addison's
- 17:33Speaker 1: going to have to step up. TJ Hawkinson's going to
- 17:37Speaker 1: have to step up. Kyler Murray's going to have to
- 17:39Speaker 1: run around. Just looked okay. I thought obviously Carson Wentz
- 17:41Speaker 1: looked a little bit better. But yeah, the Bucs had
- 17:45Speaker 1: nine points. This game was gross. Like this game was gross.
- 17:48Speaker 1: The Bucs have sort of fallen off too. They were
- 17:50Speaker 1: 2-10 their last 12 games. So what this means for
- 17:53Speaker 1: the winners, Vikings, the team to beat in the NFC North.
- 17:59Speaker 1: Caleb Williams isn't there. Jordan Love looks awful. The Packers
- 18:02Speaker 1: look really bad. They're struggling to figure out what's going on.
- 18:06Speaker 1: They play the 0-3 Dolphins next week who gave the
- 18:08Speaker 1: Chiefs all they wanted. Chiefs sort of gave away from them.
- 18:11Speaker 1: So This would be a big game. If they can
- 18:13Speaker 1: get to 4-0, man, they're rolling a heck of a
- 18:15Speaker 1: job by Kevin O'Connell. What this means for the loser,
- 18:18Speaker 1: we've already said it. The Bucks are 0-3. Baker got hurt,
- 18:22Speaker 1: could miss a bunch of time. It's just not looking great.
- 18:26Speaker 1: This football season, whether you're buying tickets, booking travel, or
- 18:29Speaker 1: shopping for team gear, protect your pocket with Visa. Tapping
- 18:33Speaker 1: to pay for a bootleg jersey without checking the card?
- 18:36Speaker 1: not a pro move. Tapping to pay with Visa, that's
- 18:39Speaker 1: a pro move. Visa runs more than 500 security checks
- 18:43Speaker 1: to help identify fraud before transactions are approved, helping protect
- 18:47Speaker 1: your payment all the way to the end zone so
- 18:49Speaker 1: you can focus on other things, like whether boneless wings
- 18:53Speaker 1: are actually wings. Reaching for your card with five fingers
- 18:57Speaker 1: covered in buffalo sauce, that's a fumble waiting to happen,
- 19:00Speaker 1: not a pro move. Tapping to pay with Visa, now
- 19:03Speaker 1: that's a pro move because with Visa, you're not responsible
- 19:06Speaker 1: for any charges you didn't make. So you can save
- 19:09Speaker 1: your defensive energy for something else like keeping Taylor away
- 19:12Speaker 1: from your nachos. This season, a great defensive play is
- 19:16Speaker 1: paying with Visa, the most trusted way to pay for
- 19:19Speaker 1: football fans everywhere. All right, we're moving on to the
- 19:22Speaker 1: next segment. It's called the Hurry Up Offense. We're going
- 19:24Speaker 1: to hit every single game about a minute to 90
- 19:27Speaker 1: seconds each. Let's start with it. Raiders versus the Saints.
- 19:32Speaker 1: How in the world Are the Raiders 3-0? How about that,
- 19:38Speaker 1: Raiders Nation? Who in their right mind, I maybe didn't
- 19:41Speaker 1: believe either, had the Raiders 3-0 with Kirk Cousins, and
- 19:47Speaker 1: Kirk is playing really good football. Clint Kubiak dialing it
- 19:52Speaker 1: up offensively. More importantly, though, the defense for the Raiders
- 19:56Speaker 1: has been the difference. If you would have said, hey,
- 19:59Speaker 1: at the Saints, after an impressive win by the Saints
- 20:03Speaker 1: at the Ravens last week, if you score... Are you
- 20:06Speaker 1: going to score 35 points? I'd say absolutely not. I
- 20:08Speaker 1: love their offense. Brock Bowers is an absolute beast. They
- 20:11Speaker 1: win it 35-27. And Kirko Chains is balling out, though.
- 20:17Speaker 1: That's the one thing about this guy is 22-33, 248,
- 20:19Speaker 1: three touchdowns. And then again, on the other side of
- 20:22Speaker 1: the ball, the Saints are in every single game. They
- 20:24Speaker 1: lose an OT to the Lions first week, which I
- 20:29Speaker 1: love the fourth quarter comeback. They ended up fourth quarter
- 20:32Speaker 1: scoring 15 points last week versus the Ravens. Glad they
- 20:37Speaker 1: won that game. And then Tyler Shuck, to me, shined again. 250,
- 20:42Speaker 1: four touchdowns. The Saints rushed for 150 yards. I think
- 20:47Speaker 1: we got to start saying that the Raiders are a
- 20:49Speaker 1: pretty good team. I think the Saints are a good team.
- 20:51Speaker 1: I think the NFC South is much better than a
- 20:53Speaker 1: lot of people probably want it to be. And Kellen Moore,
- 20:58Speaker 1: to me, is dialing it up. With the Saints, tough
- 21:02Speaker 1: loss for them, but a huge, huge win for the Raiders.
- 21:04Speaker 1: By the way, next week, Raiders 3-0, you guessed it,
- 21:09Speaker 1: Chiefs 3-0 for the lead in the AFC West. Who
- 21:13Speaker 1: in their right mind thought the Raiders? Congratulations, though, Raiders Nation, man.
- 21:18Speaker 1: You guys loved it. Let's move on to another AFC
- 21:20Speaker 1: West matchup with the Chiefs at the Dolphins. This game
- 21:26Speaker 1: was a little close for comfort. I didn't love the
- 21:28Speaker 1: way this game started. Dolphins gave them all they wanted.
- 21:31Speaker 1: The big news out of this is that Chan is hurt,
- 21:35Speaker 1: and it looks bad. The only weapon that the Dolphins
- 21:39Speaker 1: had was A-Chan, and now I think that he could
- 21:45Speaker 1: miss a bunch of time. I don't know if the
- 21:48Speaker 1: Dolphins will win a game this year, and I'm putting
- 21:52Speaker 1: that I'm not putting that lightly. I love Malik Willis,
- 21:55Speaker 1: love everything they're doing, Halfley down there. They just don't
- 21:58Speaker 1: have the players. They traded away everyone at the beginning
- 22:00Speaker 1: of the year. But more importantly, the Chiefs are all
- 22:03Speaker 1: the way back, baby. Here's something that I like to say,
- 22:07Speaker 1: the Kenneth Walker. In fact, I don't love to read
- 22:08Speaker 1: stats all the time, but listen to this. Patrick Mahomes, okay,
- 22:12Speaker 1: completed all 14 of his play action attempts for 201
- 22:16Speaker 1: yards and a touchdown on Sunday. Tied for the most
- 22:18Speaker 1: attempts without an incompletion by any player in In the
- 22:22Speaker 1: last 20 seasons in Kansas City, you would have never
- 22:27Speaker 1: guessed this. They rank number one in the NFL in
- 22:30Speaker 1: play action usage this season after ranking 13th last season.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Everyone remember the very first game of the year? It's
- 22:37Speaker 1: a Kenneth Walker show, second game as well. Travis Kelsey
- 22:40Speaker 1: looks good. Rasheed Rice, like I'm seeing him outside making moves,
- 22:45Speaker 1: understanding what's happening, doing all this stuff. Dude, he looks legit.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Their defense is playing well. held the Broncos to under 20,
- 22:54Speaker 1: held the Dolphins to under 20. But don't look now, man.
- 22:57Speaker 1: The Chiefs are back. I'm calling it a 3-0. Seems
- 22:59Speaker 1: to have an identity offensively that travels. New look defense,
- 23:03Speaker 1: a little bit younger on that side of the ball.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Steve Spagnuolo, to me, is one of the best defensive
- 23:07Speaker 1: coordinators in the entire game. More importantly, Patrick Mahomes looks
- 23:10Speaker 1: really good. And I'm just excited about it. Mahomes got
- 23:14Speaker 1: his 150th start and 115th win. That's right. You heard that.
- 23:18Speaker 1: 150 starts. And you are 115 and 35. Only other
- 23:25Speaker 1: quarterback to do that. I think I did that math right.
- 23:28Speaker 1: Only other quarterback to do that. Tom Brady. Baby goat.
- 23:32Speaker 1: Just call him the baby goat. Everyone watch out for
- 23:34Speaker 1: the Kansas City Chiefs. All right, let's get to sort
- 23:37Speaker 1: of a snooze fest. Giants-Titans. Giants end up winning. Jameis
- 23:40Speaker 1: Winston 12 to 7. I don't know if you heard
- 23:42Speaker 1: the postgame presser from Jameis talking about six times two.
- 23:46Speaker 1: Equals 12. Talking about his quarterback, Jackson Dart. We had
- 23:49Speaker 1: to go out there and get the dude is a
- 23:50Speaker 1: walking soundbite. I'm glad they got a win. Absolutely ugly
- 23:54Speaker 1: game because of the weather. I don't know if you saw,
- 23:55Speaker 1: but early in the game, Cam Scadaboo got absolutely demolished
- 24:01Speaker 1: by his quarterback, Jameis Winston, when they were going to
- 24:03Speaker 1: hand off the football. It was bad. More importantly, though,
- 24:07Speaker 1: I know this, you know, Bustin' with the Boys, they
- 24:10Speaker 1: are based in Nashville. So there's a lot of Tennessee
- 24:12Speaker 1: Titans fans out there. Oh, God bless you. It looks
- 24:15Speaker 1: so bad. There's a difference so close, a fine line
- 24:20Speaker 1: in the NFL. The Titans could be 2-1 very easily
- 24:24Speaker 1: the last two games, but the last play, Cam Ward
- 24:29Speaker 1: throws an interception. It looked like he threw it right
- 24:33Speaker 1: to him. I know. I played the position. I get it.
- 24:36Speaker 1: It's difficult. The play calling looks all over the place.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Brian Dayball, you came down there. You've got to have
- 24:43Speaker 1: Kim Ward moving the pocket, doing something else. It just,
- 24:48Speaker 1: it broke my heart. It was a bit of a
- 24:49Speaker 1: revenge game on both sides. O'Brien Callahan, the quarterback coach
- 24:52Speaker 1: for the Giants, got the win, got fired from the
- 24:55Speaker 1: team last year. Brian Dayball going against his old team,
- 24:57Speaker 1: came up short. So that was a little bit of that.
- 25:00Speaker 1: But I'm looking at you Giants like, you might have
- 25:03Speaker 1: saved Jameis another week. That was a big talking point.
- 25:07Speaker 1: I would still absolutely try to go out, try to
- 25:10Speaker 1: sign Mac Jones, try to sign Jimmy Garoppolo, maybe Joe Milton.
- 25:15Speaker 1: I just don't know. I think the Giants are really,
- 25:17Speaker 1: really good in terms of talent on the roster. They're
- 25:21Speaker 1: not going to be able to win games scoring 12.
- 25:23Speaker 1: Not everyone's a Tennessee Titans. All right, let's get on
- 25:25Speaker 1: to the next one. Jaguars Patriots. Huge headlines, and it
- 25:29Speaker 1: starts with the quarterbacks this game. Drake May. The regression
- 25:35Speaker 1: looks incredibly bad. I'm not going to be honest with you.
- 25:37Speaker 1: He just isn't seeing the field very well. Three more
- 25:40Speaker 1: turnovers today. They go out this offseason, they get receivers,
- 25:45Speaker 1: they get a retooled offensive line. I know A.J. Brown
- 25:48Speaker 1: is hurt. Okay, I understand that. When you watch him
- 25:52Speaker 1: play quarterback, though, he is not seeing the ball in
- 25:56Speaker 1: the field very well at all. So that's a confidence issue.
- 25:59Speaker 1: And even he even said, like, this was a bad
- 26:01Speaker 1: look to me. I can't get out of my own way.
- 26:04Speaker 1: Don't say that. Like, sound after the game. You cannot
- 26:08Speaker 1: admit that. it's just one of those things where you
- 26:12Speaker 1: just got to keep working through it. Even Vrabel was
- 26:15Speaker 1: saying that, like, dude, we're not looking good at all.
- 26:18Speaker 1: And here's a little bit of the regression. People are like, oh,
- 26:21Speaker 1: you know, Drake May, he just had such an easy
- 26:25Speaker 1: schedule last year, da-da-da, but I thought he played really well.
- 26:28Speaker 1: I think he was second or third in MVP voting.
- 26:32Speaker 1: This stat is damning. Drake May, games with two interceptions,
- 26:35Speaker 1: the 2025 season, through the AFC championship game. So last year,
- 26:39Speaker 1: obviously they made it to the Super Bowl. 2025 regular
- 26:43Speaker 1: season to the AFC championship game, zero out of 20 games. No, zero.
- 26:48Speaker 1: Through an interception, never through two. Since Super Bowl LX,
- 26:53Speaker 1: three of four games, multiple interceptions. That is a classic
- 26:57Speaker 1: example of a quarterback losing confidence and just not seeing it.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Now let's talk about Trevor Lawrence. My goodness. threw for
- 27:07Speaker 1: three more touchdowns. They won their sixth straight regular season
- 27:10Speaker 1: game at home. Duvall is, I guess, a very difficult
- 27:13Speaker 1: place to play. But he needs to be in the
- 27:15Speaker 1: conversation of MVP. The way he bounced back from the
- 27:18Speaker 1: Broncos game, had those three interceptions. Him and Liam Cohn,
- 27:21Speaker 1: they look like a match made in heaven. He's finally,
- 27:24Speaker 1: finally seeing what Trevor Lawrence's ceiling can be. And that
- 27:30Speaker 1: is a top 10 quarterback, top eight quarterback in the NFL.
- 27:33Speaker 1: He's always had the talent. The coach is there. I
- 27:36Speaker 1: love Doug Peterson, Urban Meyer, whatever. You finally get an
- 27:40Speaker 1: offensive-minded head coach. I think you've got to give a
- 27:43Speaker 1: lot of credit to the front office of the Jaguars
- 27:45Speaker 1: for building this team the right way, starting with Trevor Lawrence,
- 27:48Speaker 1: put him in the conversation of the MVP. Here's a stunner.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Colts 19, Texas 17. Colts snapped their nine-game losing streak.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Dana Jones had three fumbles and lost two of them.
- 28:00Speaker 1: There's no way they should have won this game. More importantly, Texans...
- 28:04Speaker 1: Not looking pretty at all. Love the way you fought
- 28:07Speaker 1: back to get into this game. It bodes really well,
- 28:09Speaker 1: but you're 0-3 for a second straight season. I'm going
- 28:12Speaker 1: to go out and say, I do not think that
- 28:14Speaker 1: you are going to do what you did last year
- 28:16Speaker 1: and crawl yourself back into it to make it to
- 28:19Speaker 1: the divisional round. I just, I really just don't think that.
- 28:22Speaker 1: What is wrong with it? Here's the thing. It's not
- 28:26Speaker 1: CJ Stroud, whether you think it or not. Like CJ
- 28:29Speaker 1: Stroud turned down a 50 plus million dollar a year
- 28:31Speaker 1: deal And now you're starting 0-3. You lose some of
- 28:34Speaker 1: your leverage. But if you watch the games, it's really
- 28:36Speaker 1: not him that's making the mistakes. There's a zero run game. Like,
- 28:43Speaker 1: David Montgomery, not great. Like, that whole thing. And then
- 28:46Speaker 1: the defense, I mean, you hold them at 19 points.
- 28:48Speaker 1: You think they can go up and win. I just
- 28:50Speaker 1: don't think they can pull off that complete turnaround like
- 28:52Speaker 1: last year. They started 0-3. Here's another thing, too. We
- 28:55Speaker 1: talked about it with the Chargers. Texans were plus three
- 28:57Speaker 1: in turnover differential. They got three more turnovers than... the Colts,
- 29:03Speaker 1: and they still lost. And by the way, did everyone
- 29:04Speaker 1: see the shadows on that game? That should be illegal
- 29:08Speaker 1: and should not. You talk about the Dallas Cowboys and
- 29:10Speaker 1: those curtains that come up, they don't even have those.
- 29:13Speaker 1: The shadows were unbearable, but Texans, man, I'm worried. I'm
- 29:18Speaker 1: worried about you guys. Now, Browns at the Panthers. Bryce
- 29:22Speaker 1: Young with a hell of a comeback for the Panthers.
- 29:24Speaker 1: Dude's playing some of the best ball of his entire career.
- 29:27Speaker 1: I actually love how creative the offense is with Dave Canales,
- 29:29Speaker 1: but Why are you throwing short of the six on
- 29:32Speaker 1: fourth and 16? Like, I get that. But the whole
- 29:35Speaker 1: story is that, hey, Bryce Young playing the position of
- 29:37Speaker 1: quarterback well. Deshaun Watson. you are back from the dead.
- 29:41Speaker 1: You were supposed to get benched. All of a sudden,
- 29:44Speaker 1: the Browns are two and one, just as everyone expected.
- 29:47Speaker 1: And all of a sudden, this coming Thursday night football
- 29:49Speaker 1: game versus the Steelers is massive. Could be for the
- 29:54Speaker 1: lead in the AFC North. The Browns, unbelievable. Could you,
- 29:58Speaker 1: would you dare say, that Deshaun Watson found his clutch
- 30:03Speaker 1: gene again. Now, there was a dumb penalty against Deshaun
- 30:06Speaker 1: Watson where you got a forearm shiver to the face
- 30:08Speaker 1: to allow that, but then they got that massive two-point conversion.
- 30:12Speaker 1: I think Deshaun's like a cat with nine lives. You
- 30:15Speaker 1: just keep making plays at the end of games, and
- 30:17Speaker 1: I do think his clutch gene is there. I mean,
- 30:19Speaker 1: everyone's still calling for Shador Sanders. The way Deshaun Watson
- 30:23Speaker 1: is playing, I mean, could you imagine Like, is there
- 30:27Speaker 1: any possibility, any way, that Deshaun Watson could win back
- 30:31Speaker 1: the fan base of the Browns after all the idiotic
- 30:33Speaker 1: stuff he said? Probably not, but it would go a
- 30:37Speaker 1: long way with the Steelers' win. Could you imagine if
- 30:41Speaker 1: the Browns started 3-1? Surprise story of the NFL with
- 30:45Speaker 1: the Raiders. Let's get to the Commander Seahawks' upset of
- 30:48Speaker 1: the day. Marcus Mariota, helmet stickers, backup quarterback, let's freaking go.
- 30:54Speaker 1: More importantly... Sam Darnold and the Seahawks, they did not
- 30:57Speaker 1: look good at all. Sam Darnold's first game back from injury.
- 31:00Speaker 1: Drew Locke, shout out, M-I-Z-Z-O-U. Came in, won a couple
- 31:03Speaker 1: games for them, did well. Seahawks' first loss of the year,
- 31:07Speaker 1: turned it over. And a lot of things talking about
- 31:12Speaker 1: turnovers this stream or this show. Commanders with 21 points
- 31:16Speaker 1: off turnovers. You had to have something go your way.
- 31:20Speaker 1: But then the way that David Blau, the offensive coordinator
- 31:23Speaker 1: for the Commanders, called plays down the stretch to me
- 31:25Speaker 1: was the difference. I think, hot take or not, I
- 31:28Speaker 1: think the offense looked better with Marcus Mariota running it
- 31:32Speaker 1: than Jaden Daniels did. And then Seattle ultimately, too many
- 31:36Speaker 1: turnovers in this game. Seattle had won 15 of 16
- 31:39Speaker 1: games on the road. So they travel really well because
- 31:42Speaker 1: that defense is really good. You turn the ball over,
- 31:45Speaker 1: you put your defense in tough spots. Commanders did a
- 31:47Speaker 1: nice job of actually doing it. JSN, by the way,
- 31:49Speaker 1: still him. For sure, like he is their guy, you
- 31:52Speaker 1: can tell they're missing the run game. Kenneth Walker, Chiefs, hey, Chiefs,
- 31:56Speaker 1: I'll take them. I'll pay them $ 15 million a year.
- 31:59Speaker 1: They're missing them. They wrestle ball 18 times for 44 yards,
- 32:03Speaker 1: and when you're a one-dimensional team on the road versus
- 32:05Speaker 1: a Dan Quinn-style defense, not very good. All right, let's
- 32:09Speaker 1: get to the Lions versus Jets. Jameer Gibbs, best back
- 32:12Speaker 1: in the league. The Jets, by the way, they look
- 32:15Speaker 1: way better than I would have ever thought. But Jameer Gibbs,
- 32:17Speaker 1: 164 total yards, three touchdowns. The Jets actually made it
- 32:21Speaker 1: a game late, coming back from a 14-point deficit, tied
- 32:24Speaker 1: it at 24. The Lions, to me, they're winning. They're
- 32:28Speaker 1: not the same old Lions like they were two years
- 32:31Speaker 1: ago or three years ago, where they're putting away people.
- 32:34Speaker 1: They can still score points. New offensive coordinator, new, obviously, quarterback.
- 32:38Speaker 1: They're trying to figure out what is happening. But then
- 32:42Speaker 1: the Jets jetted themselves. You know, lost the fumble in
- 32:45Speaker 1: the final draft to steal it for the Lions. The Jets,
- 32:49Speaker 1: to me, though, prove that they are a team to
- 32:50Speaker 1: put away, a tough team to put away. But good
- 32:53Speaker 1: for the Lions. At least the Jets aren't laughable this year.
- 32:55Speaker 1: I actually really like their young core. I think if
- 32:58Speaker 1: they're going to end up getting a quarterback in next
- 33:00Speaker 1: year's draft, I feel like they have 15 first-round picks
- 33:02Speaker 1: next year. They're going to be a problem to deal with.
- 33:05Speaker 1: I think Aaron Glenn's got that defense rolling a little bit.
- 33:07Speaker 1: They've got to figure out some stuff on the offensive line.
- 33:10Speaker 1: But playmaker-wise, big Garrett Wilson fan, big Brees Hall fan.
- 33:15Speaker 1: They're close. All right, let's get to the next game.
- 33:18Speaker 1: Rams versus Broncos. This might be even more wild than
- 33:21Speaker 1: the Cowboys-Ravens. Just an unbelievable game. Story of two separate halves.
- 33:27Speaker 1: Rams looked amazing in the first half. scored 16 points,
- 33:32Speaker 1: and it was zero for the Broncos. The Broncos scored
- 33:34Speaker 1: 30 points in the second half of this game to
- 33:40Speaker 1: win it, and boy, it was unbelievable. The last two
- 33:44Speaker 1: minutes took like 30 minutes because of everything that happened. Honestly,
- 33:50Speaker 1: it started with the Pick six by Matthew Stafford. When
- 33:54Speaker 1: they were up 19-16, he throws an ill-advised pass to
- 33:58Speaker 1: his left. By the way, it's his 33rd pick six.
- 34:02Speaker 1: It's the most of active players. It might be one
- 34:04Speaker 1: of the most ever. It's 33 pick sixes, though. He
- 34:08Speaker 1: sort of looks to the left, throws it to the
- 34:11Speaker 1: flat to Kyron Williams. Hufunga, who's had an unbelievable game.
- 34:16Speaker 1: steps in front of it, jukes him out, goes for
- 34:18Speaker 1: a pick six, crowd goes wild. It's nuts. Hufunga also
- 34:22Speaker 1: had a sack on third down. Vance Joseph decided to
- 34:25Speaker 1: all out blitz. Couldn't get out to him on the
- 34:27Speaker 1: series before. So just massive game changing plays. And then
- 34:31Speaker 1: the very next series, boy, I hated this play by
- 34:34Speaker 1: defensive coordinator Vance Joseph. He ends up bringing cover zero,
- 34:38Speaker 1: but it's the type of cover zero where you're only
- 34:40Speaker 1: bringing six and the seventh guy who should be the
- 34:42Speaker 1: free guy doesn't get home. And Who do they attack?
- 34:47Speaker 1: They attack Riley Moss on an out and up. Riley Moss,
- 34:50Speaker 1: just let him have the out. It's literally like three
- 34:53Speaker 1: or four plays later. Throws a bomb, throws a touchdown.
- 34:57Speaker 1: It just goes crazy back and forth. Broncos get the ball.
- 35:03Speaker 1: Second and 20, massive bust in coverage, which is nutty
- 35:06Speaker 1: to me. When you're second and 20, you have them
- 35:09Speaker 1: against the ropes. Bo Nix played a lot better in
- 35:12Speaker 1: the second half. Here's the crazy thing, though. When they
- 35:15Speaker 1: got inside the 15, as the Broncos were driving to score,
- 35:20Speaker 1: to take the lead, there was like a minute four left.
- 35:25Speaker 1: The Broncos had three, sorry, the Rams had three separate
- 35:30Speaker 1: penalties to give the Broncos new life. The Broncos had
- 35:34Speaker 1: nine plays inside the 15-yard line and finally got in
- 35:38Speaker 1: on a Drew Brees special with a sneak. That was
- 35:40Speaker 1: a horrible call, though. Like the DPI call down there
- 35:45Speaker 1: when the Rams intercepted Bo Nix, I'm going to be
- 35:49Speaker 1: completely honest, like that was a horrible call. There was
- 35:52Speaker 1: a face mask penalty on Evan Ingram on a cover
- 35:55Speaker 1: zero blitz on the backside corner. Just so many things
- 35:59Speaker 1: go wrong. And then Broncos finally on the ninth play,
- 36:02Speaker 1: like I was saying, like they're at the one yard line.
- 36:04Speaker 1: There's also an offsides penalty to move them to the
- 36:06Speaker 1: half yard line. Breeze just, or Bo Nix does the
- 36:09Speaker 1: hut one, hut two, hut three. like special. And then
- 36:13Speaker 1: like when they scored, I was like, man, there's, there's
- 36:17Speaker 1: enough time for, um, Matthew Stafford and Stafford does this
- 36:21Speaker 1: crazy stuff, gets there, um, ends up throwing another interception
- 36:24Speaker 1: late to who Funga, um, a couple of things. One, this,
- 36:29Speaker 1: this dream team of the Rams wanting to, like you
- 36:33Speaker 1: lose the Australia game, uh, in division, uh, to the 49ers.
- 36:37Speaker 1: And then you lose a tough one against the Broncos.
- 36:40Speaker 1: The Broncos didn't look too hot starting off, but now
- 36:43Speaker 1: they're 2-1. They're doing a hell of a job. They're
- 36:46Speaker 1: understanding how to win football games. That defense is having
- 36:50Speaker 1: to carry them. I don't know what is going on
- 36:52Speaker 1: with the play calling of Davis Webb. It was not
- 36:55Speaker 1: very good in the first half. I would imagine that
- 36:58Speaker 1: they were probably a few series away from potentially turning
- 37:02Speaker 1: the play calls back over to Sean Payton, but all
- 37:04Speaker 1: of a sudden, hey, it's the second half. You score
- 37:07Speaker 1: 30 points. Bo Nix looked like a completely different player
- 37:12Speaker 1: in the second half. And it's just one of those
- 37:14Speaker 1: games where, man, you're going to look back on this,
- 37:18Speaker 1: especially the Broncos and the AFC and the Rams and
- 37:20Speaker 1: the NFC. The Rams are one and two. Let that
- 37:23Speaker 1: sink in for everything. I know Miles Garrett's out. Aaron
- 37:26Speaker 1: Donald played okay. He didn't have a massive impact in
- 37:29Speaker 1: the game. Man, but the Broncos, Jalen Waddell, got to
- 37:33Speaker 1: get him going. Got to get Jalen Waddell going more.
- 37:36Speaker 1: Got to figure out this play calling. This felt like
- 37:41Speaker 1: a potential Super Bowl matchup. It felt like two heavyweights
- 37:45Speaker 1: going back and forth. The Rams got really nonchalant after
- 37:49Speaker 1: up 16-0, but I don't know what the heck Sean
- 37:52Speaker 1: Payton said to the Broncos at halftime, but it was unbelievable.
- 37:56Speaker 1: One of the better games of the entire day. Let's
- 37:59Speaker 1: get to the next game before the Thursday night recap.
- 38:02Speaker 1: 49ers 36, Cardinals 30? This game was a lot closer,
- 38:08Speaker 1: a lot further apart than the score said. Only six point.
- 38:12Speaker 1: 49ers did what they expected them to. The biggest thing,
- 38:14Speaker 1: storylines for the 49ers. To me, Brock Purdy playing some
- 38:19Speaker 1: of the best football I've seen out of all the
- 38:23Speaker 1: quarterbacks in the entire NFL. Him and Kyle Shanahan are
- 38:26Speaker 1: on one. He's seeing it at a completely different level.
- 38:30Speaker 1: I believe he had four touchdowns against He's playing in
- 38:35Speaker 1: an MVP-type level, and that's not being facetious. That's being
- 38:38Speaker 1: the honest truth. Here's the issue, though. Mike Evans was great.
- 38:41Speaker 1: How about Debo Samuel at one point in the game?
- 38:43Speaker 1: Zero catches, 80 yards, one touchdown on the hook and ladder.
- 38:46Speaker 1: It was an awesome play call. Trent Williams and Mike
- 38:48Speaker 1: Evans got carted off for injuries. That is the only thing.
- 38:53Speaker 1: That is the only thing that can stop this team
- 38:56Speaker 1: from being really, really good. The injury bug for them
- 39:01Speaker 1: has always hurt them. But is the electrical substation ruining
- 39:06Speaker 1: its head again? I hate to say it. I hate
- 39:08Speaker 1: to say it, but it could be. Big fan of
- 39:10Speaker 1: the 49ers. Big fan of Brock Purdy and how they're playing.
- 39:12Speaker 1: How about the Cardinals, too? Showing a little bit of fight.
- 39:14Speaker 1: Jeremiah Love had some success. He's going to be a
- 39:17Speaker 1: huge part of this Cardinals offense going forward. Jacoby Percet
- 39:20Speaker 1: showing some fight. Just not good enough. I mean, these
- 39:22Speaker 1: are wins. We talked about it, like the Bills. These
- 39:24Speaker 1: are wins that you fight your way to. It looks
- 39:27Speaker 1: closer than it is, but they ended up putting away
- 39:29Speaker 1: a big Brock Purdy fan here, though. And then last
- 39:31Speaker 1: but not least, Thursday night, Falcons at the Packers. Packers
- 39:36Speaker 1: are the most surprisingly bad team in the entire NFL.
- 39:41Speaker 1: I'm not making excuses for Jordan Love. He has nobody.
- 39:45Speaker 1: You're starting running backs facing legal issues. Both tackles are out.
- 39:49Speaker 1: Your defense is playing okay. Michael Penix, though, you got
- 39:53Speaker 1: your first start. Bijan Robinson went for 194. The receiver,
- 39:58Speaker 1: Drake Lennon, 194 through the air. And Michael Penix, after
- 40:03Speaker 1: a really bad interception, turned it around. Most surprising probably
- 40:07Speaker 1: win that I've seen the Falcons have. Maybe they're back
- 40:09Speaker 1: in it. I think the Packers are that bad, truly.
- 40:13Speaker 1: I don't know if, you know, we'll see how Penix
- 40:15Speaker 1: ends up doing. Not so sure. though, that the Packers
- 40:20Speaker 1: are going to have to make some changes after this year.
- 40:22Speaker 1: I don't think the head coach is getting fired. They're
- 40:23Speaker 1: going to have to make some changes, though. All right,
- 40:24Speaker 1: final segment of the day called the two-minute drill, where
- 40:27Speaker 1: I have two minutes to just give you my opinion
- 40:29Speaker 1: on certain things around the league. We're going to theme
- 40:32Speaker 1: this one up saying, back from the dead, put two
- 40:34Speaker 1: minutes on a clock. Let's go a minute each. Deshaun Watson,
- 40:39Speaker 1: I know we just talked about him, and the Browns, everyone,
- 40:43Speaker 1: and I mean everyone, was writing Deshaun Watson off. Everyone
- 40:47Speaker 1: was calling for Shador Sanders. Everyone wanted Shador Sanders to play.
- 40:51Speaker 1: Then what does Deshaun Watson do? Back-to-back weeks, when his
- 40:55Speaker 1: team needed him the most, he's clutch. I already said
- 40:58Speaker 1: he's like a cat with nine lives. This dude is really,
- 41:02Speaker 1: really impressive. So far, they've got to keep winning. Whoever
- 41:06Speaker 1: would have thought that the game versus the Steelers would
- 41:10Speaker 1: be so massive. And for a potential AFC North lead,
- 41:13Speaker 1: I love it. I love a good comeback story. Speaking
- 41:16Speaker 1: back from the dead, the Raiders, Clint Kubiak, kudos. Let's
- 41:21Speaker 1: just clap it up. The way he's being able to
- 41:23Speaker 1: keep that team together. Look, you go out and you
- 41:25Speaker 1: get Fernando Mendoza, number one overall pick. You sign Kirk Cousins,
- 41:29Speaker 1: the nicest quarterback room of all time. Probably shouldn't even
- 41:32Speaker 1: be playing in Vegas. You sign those guys, and I'm like, oh,
- 41:35Speaker 1: Fernando's going to play. Fernando's going to play. Kirko Change
- 41:37Speaker 1: just says, hey, not so fast. Let's keep doing what
- 41:40Speaker 1: we're doing. They're 3-0. Massive, massive game versus the Chiefs
- 41:46Speaker 1: for the AFC West lead. Their defense is actually playing good, too.
- 41:52Speaker 1: Brock Bowers is back. Ashton Gentry's rolling, man. The things
- 41:56Speaker 1: are looking up for both Deshaun Watson and both... of
- 42:01Speaker 1: those guys that we just said with the Raiders, Kirk
- 42:04Speaker 1: Klink-Kubiak and Kirk Cousins. Guys, thank you so much for
