- Najah: One thing I cannot stand is when people get into a relationship without laying the proper foundation. And I'm speaking from experience. Baby, the conversations need to happen in the beginning. Boundaries. Expectations. Desires. relationship goals. All of it. Because why are we months or years into something discussing things that should have been discussed before we even became emotionally invested? if you're looking for marriage and you're looking for something casual, that's important information. If you want children and they don't, that's important information. If you wanna build a life together and they have no interest in that, that's important information. And once that information is on the table, somebody needs to make a decision. Because attraction is not compatibility. Chemistry is not compatibility. Good sex is not compatibility. Y'all can like each other all day long and still want completely different futures. When somebody says I'm not looking for anything serious right now, don't hear the possibility. Here to reality. and if somebody tells you they want marriage, commitment and a future, don't stick around knowing that's not what you want either. That's the part that people skip. wanna talk about who wasted whose time years later. Baby, the real question is, why did this relationship start in the first place? The incompatibility was there from day one. The misalignment was there from day one. The writing was on the wall from day one. Not every attraction is supposed to become a relationship. Sometimes the most mature thing two people can do is acknowledge that their desires don't align and walk away before anybody gets attached. Because when your future desires don't match, all you're doing is building a relationship on a disagreement that's eventually gonna demand a resolution. And somebody was gonna always end up disappointed.
