- 0:00Speaker 1: The Whole Aching Big Show with Mike and Key. Tune
- 0:04Speaker 1: in week days at four on Radio Hold.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Aching Red Hot Chili Peppers. There on the That Hucky
- 0:09Speaker 2: Big Show Thursday afternoon afternoon with Kezy Moggie and Old Pugsun.
- 0:13Speaker 2: And it's time for trifle chat dish phillas. I hate
- 0:19Speaker 2: trifle right, It's like sloppy, tastes weird. All the flavors
- 0:24Speaker 2: sort of mixed together, and it tastes kind of boozy.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Is the cheery in it or something like that. Yeah,
- 0:29Speaker 2: it's a traditional cheery a cheery. Yeah, it's a traditional
- 0:34Speaker 2: dessert at Christmas time. My mother in law makes it,
- 0:37Speaker 2: by all accounts, a wonderful trifle. But that's like saying, oh,
- 0:41Speaker 2: that's the best type of disease, because they're all bad.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Have you eate? Have you?
- 0:46Speaker 4: I'm assuming you've eaten it over the course of your
- 0:48Speaker 4: long relationship with your wife a disease.
- 0:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I have tried the trifle. Not for you, No,
- 0:56Speaker 2: it's just gross. And every trifle I've tried is not
- 0:58Speaker 2: very good. Actually, just on like a massively said.
- 1:01Speaker 5: One of the first times we learned that we had
- 1:03Speaker 5: to maybe put a nana into a home was she
- 1:05Speaker 5: made trifle for Christmas one year and it had mold
- 1:07Speaker 5: on it, mold, and.
- 1:09Speaker 3: We were just like, was that an ingredient?
- 1:10Speaker 5: We were like, yeah, it was one of the layers,
- 1:13Speaker 5: and we just thought that was a poor choice for
- 1:14Speaker 5: the trifle.
- 1:15Speaker 2: A layer of mold, mold it was. I personally wouldn't
- 1:19Speaker 2: put that on, but it was in a recipe book
- 1:20Speaker 2: as well. Layer of mold, one of those nineteen twenties one.
- 1:23Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, right, he's really weird in the twenties.
- 1:27Speaker 2: And then you put her in her wrist home. Yeah,
- 1:29Speaker 2: she was fifty two. Wow, how do you work? Easy? Ah?
- 1:37Speaker 2: How's she doing? Now? Man?
- 1:38Speaker 3: What's that?
- 1:39Speaker 2: How's you naan doing? Now? She's dead?
- 1:41Speaker 3: Oh she might know my dad, he's dead.
- 1:48Speaker 2: So the way she makes it is that the bottom
- 1:51Speaker 2: this jelly.
- 1:53Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:53Speaker 2: I'm not really a fan of jelly. I mean I
- 1:55Speaker 2: used to be when I was a kid. Three statement
- 2:03Speaker 2: because I don't like throwing out a blanket jelly statement
- 2:05Speaker 2: like that. But if you agree, CAZy.
- 2:07Speaker 4: I didn't even know that there was jelly in it
- 2:11Speaker 4: in trifle.
- 2:11Speaker 2: In trifle, well that's the thing. There's all different types,
- 2:13Speaker 2: but the one I have has jelly in it.
- 2:15Speaker 3: It's a year old sort of a recipe, isn't it.
- 2:17Speaker 4: It's sort of like ballet is to dance is trifle
- 2:21Speaker 4: to dessert. We've gotten so much further than ballet that
- 2:25Speaker 4: we don't need ballet anymore, and I don't think we
- 2:27Speaker 4: need trifle anymore.
- 2:28Speaker 3: I'm on you, I'm on your side.
- 2:29Speaker 2: It's a great analogy. Yeah, jelly with like fruit cut
- 2:34Speaker 2: up fruit dice in it, and then they set it,
- 2:36Speaker 2: and then you've got the jelly base, and then you've
- 2:38Speaker 2: got a layer of sponge or lady fingers.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Yes, they do the sponge. Often you'll buy like a
- 2:42Speaker 3: jam sponge or something like it and push it.
- 2:45Speaker 2: In there, which I'm not into custard. You've got whipped
- 2:48Speaker 2: cream in there, and it's fine that all, you know,
- 2:51Speaker 2: if you took two of the layers, if you just
- 2:53Speaker 2: had sponge and a bit of fruit yam.
- 2:55Speaker 6: Yeah, with a bit of cream, meringues, maybe some ringues,
- 2:58Speaker 6: maybe some jelly, think you and some jelly and then
- 3:01Speaker 6: like a big and then some like a couple of
- 3:04Speaker 6: cans of peaches.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Yeah, what about like a layer of mold, a layer of.
- 3:10Speaker 4: Mold, but that you're going to really prepare for that
- 3:12Speaker 4: they don't you, but sort of some sheering in it,
- 3:15Speaker 4: like some alcohol.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it sounds yummy. I'd have that on the side, ah,
- 3:20Speaker 2: the booze. Yeah yeah, yeah, okay, because a half you
- 3:23Speaker 2: normally have a half a cap, but I got a bottle. Yeah,
- 3:26Speaker 2: just have that on the side. Yeah. Right, So you
- 3:28Speaker 2: make all that and you put a layer of mold
- 3:30Speaker 2: on it, and you but then you've got to like
- 3:31Speaker 2: call the rest home obviously get that all teed up.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Yeah exactly. I was gonna ask what you think I
- 3:37Speaker 2: should put in the trifle, But what you've just said
- 3:39Speaker 2: is probably you've nailed it.
- 3:41Speaker 4: I think that's that's all you can do, is just
- 3:42Speaker 4: that as the booze. And you know the other thing
- 3:45Speaker 4: is if you're making it, you don't have to eat it.
- 3:47Speaker 2: Yeah, you're right. I can take a lot of joy
- 3:49Speaker 2: out of watching other people eat.
- 3:50Speaker 4: It knowing yeah that it's ship Yeah.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Merry Christmas failures.
- 3:57Speaker 3: I think there should be a regular segment.
- 4:02Speaker 1: The Hurarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio hod.
- 4:05Speaker 6: Ike Blink one a two there on the Radio Hodarkey
- 4:08Speaker 6: Big Show.
- 4:09Speaker 2: This glorious Tuesday afternoon.
- 4:11Speaker 4: Fellas, I've got a new car, do doo dooge. Now,
- 4:16Speaker 4: you know, anybody that loves the Big Show will remember
- 4:19Speaker 4: with absolute clarity the story I told a few months
- 4:22Speaker 4: ago where we got a car and there's a they
- 4:26Speaker 4: had this loan on it. Man, you've got to get
- 4:27Speaker 4: involved in this loan. Good lord, So zero percent interest
- 4:30Speaker 4: loan for five years or something like that. I think
- 4:33Speaker 4: it's five years. If you got a hybrid car and
- 4:39Speaker 4: my wife's been banging on about it for ages. You
- 4:42Speaker 4: know how they wear you down, They talk you around,
- 4:45Speaker 4: I should say, they convince you. Yes, yeah, so that's
- 4:49Speaker 4: what she did. She taught me around. So we ended
- 4:50Speaker 4: up with this hybrid car, more money than we've ever
- 4:52Speaker 4: spent on a car. We're super comfortable with. It's brand new.
- 4:59Speaker 4: But we did it with it. I mean, you know,
- 5:00Speaker 4: by the time that we ran it through the accounting
- 5:02Speaker 4: and we worked out that it was practically free, they're
- 5:04Speaker 4: practically part of us to buy the car a period
- 5:08Speaker 4: over the five years. So anyway we buy it, then
- 5:10Speaker 4: we find out actually, no, that's not the case. It's
- 5:12Speaker 4: not for a hybrid car. You have to buy an
- 5:14Speaker 4: electrical electric car, fully electric. Well it's too late. Now
- 5:17Speaker 4: we've got a hybrid bug of that, So we have
- 5:20Speaker 4: to return it and we can get this electric car.
- 5:22Speaker 4: But an electric car that's going to be on a
- 5:24Speaker 4: boat from Janeen, right, and that's going to take well,
- 5:28Speaker 4: as it turns out, about three months to arrive. If
- 5:31Speaker 4: you can believe that, No, I can't. And we wanted
- 5:33Speaker 4: a black one, you know, I mean, who doesn't want
- 5:35Speaker 4: a black one? So that had to come on a special.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Boat, a black boat.
- 5:40Speaker 4: Well I don't know what about the color of the boat,
- 5:42Speaker 4: but certainly was a special trip. So anyway, it's arrived today,
- 5:46Speaker 4: and we had this other car, this other car which
- 5:49Speaker 4: was the same naked model, And I got to tell you,
- 5:51Speaker 4: I hate it because these new cars have got all
- 5:55Speaker 4: the bells and whistles. Yes, but all the bells and
- 5:57Speaker 4: whistles are massively annoying. And so what it does is
- 6:01Speaker 4: it beeps when you go one kilometer over the speed
- 6:03Speaker 4: limit one kilometer over the speed limit, and it doesn't
- 6:07Speaker 4: stop if anybody, If you go over the CenterLight, it
- 6:11Speaker 4: jerks you're steering wheel to let you know that you're drifting.
- 6:14Speaker 3: Over the median line. Right, All these things are safety features. Right.
- 6:18Speaker 4: Well, I've been driving for a while now, I've never
- 6:20Speaker 4: had a crash. Yes, I don't need you to drive
- 6:22Speaker 4: my car for me. By all means, give me a
- 6:24Speaker 4: driver drive my car. But I don't need the car
- 6:27Speaker 4: overriding my decisions. The worst thing that happened, keasy. The
- 6:31Speaker 4: worst thing that happened was when we came back from
- 6:33Speaker 4: Hamilton or somewhere like that. I can't remember what it was,
- 6:36Speaker 4: but we're in a two lane situation. I pulled out
- 6:39Speaker 4: into the passing lane. There was a car in front
- 6:41Speaker 4: of me, and there was also a car behind me.
- 6:43Speaker 4: But I felt that I could make the guess it
- 6:45Speaker 4: was an easy gap, so I pull out. The car
- 6:48Speaker 4: decides that the car in front of me is too close.
- 6:51Speaker 4: The car decides not me. It slams on the brakes,
- 6:55Speaker 4: and then the car behind me now it has to
- 6:57Speaker 4: slam on its break It's dangerous. It is dangerous. Are
- 7:00Speaker 4: you serious?
- 7:03Speaker 2: So I can. I've had experience of this as well,
- 7:05Speaker 2: because I for a weebit there used to film car
- 7:08Speaker 2: reviews for he and a few of them are electric vehicles,
- 7:12Speaker 2: and I loved because I'm traditionally my family is like
- 7:14Speaker 2: a V eight family, Shiv's holdings, all that sort of stuff. First,
- 7:18Speaker 2: time driving electric vehicle. Loved it, fast, quiet, tech, super
- 7:21Speaker 2: high tech. However, every time I hopped in it, and
- 7:24Speaker 2: it was every time, there was no way to turn
- 7:26Speaker 2: it off permanently. I turned off the beeping speed, I
- 7:29Speaker 2: turned off the lane assist thing and the break thing,
- 7:32Speaker 2: and it would take me about three minutes to turn
- 7:33Speaker 2: all these things off and I and every time I
- 7:36Speaker 2: hopped in, I had to redo it again.
- 7:38Speaker 4: That's right, And that was my big complaint with this
- 7:40Speaker 4: other car. And I think it's a new car thing,
- 7:42Speaker 4: not necessarily an electric car thing, because they want you
- 7:44Speaker 4: to have all of the new car thing, so all
- 7:46Speaker 4: the shit that you can pay for that you don't
- 7:47Speaker 4: even want.
- 7:48Speaker 3: Yes, how much does that cost to put that? And
- 7:49Speaker 3: I don't want that?
- 7:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:50Speaker 4: So anyway, what you can do is now it's a
- 7:53Speaker 4: one touch thing. So I've got a pre set for
- 7:55Speaker 4: me as a driver. Great, So I just jump in,
- 7:57Speaker 4: I pushed one button, I've turned off without a word
- 7:59Speaker 4: of the lie. Twelve different features that it's got, these
- 8:02Speaker 4: safety features, yes, absolutely unbelievable. The one thing I kept
- 8:06Speaker 4: is when you reverse, if something enters from the left
- 8:09Speaker 4: or the right behind you, it hits the brakes. Yeah,
- 8:11Speaker 4: which I thought was really good for kids. Yeah that
- 8:14Speaker 4: makes sense.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Yeah, but holy but like, yeah did you turn that?
- 8:17Speaker 2: You didn't turn? Like the window wipers off and the
- 8:19Speaker 2: like the lights.
- 8:20Speaker 3: I just don't see that you need them.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Manage The Hiarchy Big Show week days from four on
- 8:26Speaker 1: Radio hod Ike.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Running down a dream, but a Tom Petty there on
- 8:29Speaker 2: The Hucky Big Show does Wednesday evening with Keezy, Muggi
- 8:32Speaker 2: and Pugsun. Let's give out some advice.
- 8:37Speaker 3: Bad data with the.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Fellas meet patting up sixty nine at gmail dot com.
- 8:46Speaker 2: It is a real email address. Still get in touch
- 8:48Speaker 2: if you ever need advice, and if we read it
- 8:50Speaker 2: on the show, you could get yourself a fifty dollars
- 8:52Speaker 2: Reburg of Voucher.
- 8:53Speaker 5: Read Big Year get a Fellas anonymous here Mike Mogi.
- 8:58Speaker 2: I also ride my bike to work.
- 9:00Speaker 5: I enjoy the exercise, the convenience and low cost aspects. However,
- 9:05Speaker 5: opposite my work is a big construction site. When I
- 9:08Speaker 5: leave work, I have to bike past a bunch of
- 9:10Speaker 5: big scary trades. Sometimes they shoot me looks, and I
- 9:13Speaker 5: can hear them quietly talking to each other. I can't
- 9:16Speaker 5: help but feel conscious about this and wondered if you
- 9:18Speaker 5: had any tips on how to look cooler and or tougher,
- 9:23Speaker 5: so the traders give me more respect when I pedal
- 9:25Speaker 5: past them.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Chairs, Anonymous, take your seat off. It's just a saddle,
- 9:33Speaker 2: no saddle, So take the seat off the butt and
- 9:35Speaker 2: then you just have the stem there.
- 9:36Speaker 3: You're just sitting on the pole.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Pole.
- 9:43Speaker 4: Well, he wants to look like you know, he doesn't
- 9:46Speaker 4: want these guys to mess with them, right, Yeah, that
- 9:50Speaker 4: should do it.
- 9:52Speaker 5: So he said cooler or tougher? Sorry, and or tougher.
- 9:55Speaker 5: So that's a tough part.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Oh it's both. Yeah, okay, Well that's that's one option
- 10:02Speaker 2: if he's not keen on that. Yeah, true, What if
- 10:06Speaker 2: I've given you my idea? Look, you know, to us
- 10:11Speaker 2: the other the way mogie works.
- 10:12Speaker 4: No, you're right, that's my idea. That's a great idea.
- 10:16Speaker 4: And you guys are thinking about other options. Wrong? Why
- 10:19Speaker 4: should we Yeah, you're saying we should come up with
- 10:22Speaker 4: something else. In cases not into it? Why wouldn't he
- 10:24Speaker 4: be into that.
- 10:26Speaker 2: Sitting sitting directly on the pole of his Well, it's
- 10:30Speaker 2: just uncomfortable for some for some, but I'd say for most, Yeah,
- 10:34Speaker 2: for most, Like it's it's a it's a bike pole. Yeah,
- 10:38Speaker 2: it's a you know, like it'd be right if it
- 10:40Speaker 2: was shaped in a certain way so it would be
- 10:42Speaker 2: more comfortable. What shape would you prefer? Probably seat.
- 10:46Speaker 3: Shaped?
- 10:48Speaker 2: Look if it was. Can I say, if it was me,
- 10:49Speaker 2: what i'd do? Ye? Sure, man. I'd wear a flat
- 10:53Speaker 2: peak Carter's hat and I would wear that straightforward, yeah,
- 11:01Speaker 2: straight down my day.
- 11:02Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:02Speaker 2: And I'd have my new sort of clear spectacles on.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Oh yeah, and I'd ride past with my ponies on
- 11:11Speaker 2: and on my healing ten speed.
- 11:14Speaker 3: It's probably the way to go.
- 11:15Speaker 2: And I just say old kezy coming through. That's all
- 11:18Speaker 2: I do.
- 11:19Speaker 3: That would work as well. It's been working for me anyway.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Yeah, but I know what you mean.
- 11:24Speaker 4: You do get some locks, but I think it depends
- 11:25Speaker 4: on the bike and the helmet combo.
- 11:28Speaker 3: Have you got a helmet yet? No, so I've had
- 11:30Speaker 3: no issues.
- 11:31Speaker 4: I also just ride on the footpath, you know, as
- 11:34Speaker 4: far less possibility of getting run over on the footpath. Wow.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Do you feel like you look like a goober on
- 11:41Speaker 2: your bike at all?
- 11:42Speaker 3: Ever?
- 11:42Speaker 4: The thing about me, Kesy is I don't give it
- 11:46Speaker 4: any thought. So I'm just getting to work in five minutes.
- 11:51Speaker 4: Other people's opinion of me as I do. That is
- 11:54Speaker 4: between them and their mates. On the work site.
- 12:00Speaker 1: King Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy tune in
- 12:03Speaker 1: week days and four on Radio Hurdarky.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Vana on The Hudaky Big Show Monday Afternoon with Kezy,
- 12:08Speaker 2: Moggi and pugs Sound. Earlier in the show, Moggi hit
- 12:10Speaker 2: us with his top five TV shows of twenty twenty five,
- 12:14Speaker 2: not ones that came out this year, but ones that
- 12:16Speaker 2: he had watched this year. Now it's time for myself
- 12:18Speaker 2: and Pugson. Yeah, I'll go first, pug Son. How did
- 12:23Speaker 2: you say, Pugsun, I don't know, probably in a really
- 12:26Speaker 2: cool way. Alright, So my number three show I've watched
- 12:31Speaker 2: this year because I didn't watch five.
- 12:33Speaker 3: Good.
- 12:33Speaker 2: Look, the problem is I watched shows with my wife.
- 12:36Speaker 2: Most of the time, we watched Grand Designs or like House. Yeah,
- 12:40Speaker 2: we're excluding those. These are just good shows that we
- 12:43Speaker 2: genuinely got fizzed up for. Yes. Number three, there's a
- 12:46Speaker 2: show that you tried, Meggie and Ham. Oh my god,
- 12:50Speaker 2: that's number four. Upper middle Class Bogan is number four.
- 12:53Speaker 2: Good Upper middle Bogan on Netflix. Check it out. Number
- 12:56Speaker 2: three is a show you tried didn't like Tires on Netflix.
- 13:00Speaker 2: Shane gillis, It's an easy to watch twenty twenty five
- 13:03Speaker 2: minute comedy. It makes me feel chill. It's like watching
- 13:06Speaker 2: Seinfeld or Parks and Recreational, The Office or whatever. You'll
- 13:09Speaker 2: go to cozy comedy is I really enjoyed Tires on Netflix.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Number two is a mystery detective series I watched on
- 13:17Speaker 2: TV and Z Plus starring David Mitchell, one of my
- 13:20Speaker 2: favorite comedians. It's called Ludwig. It's super like, it's murder mystery.
- 13:25Speaker 2: He's sort of role playing as a detective. But it's
- 13:27Speaker 2: not so full on that my wife can watch it.
- 13:30Speaker 2: It's not too gruesome. Good oh, we're sort of trying
- 13:32Speaker 2: to figure out the murder. Ludwig TVNZ, in Plus and
- 13:35Speaker 2: my number one show of twenty twenty five that I
- 13:37Speaker 2: watched is Celebrity Traders UK on three now. Stephen Frye,
- 13:42Speaker 2: Alan Carr, Jonathan Ross some of my all time favorite
- 13:45Speaker 2: UK comedians and personalities and it was absolutely excellent. If
- 13:49Speaker 2: you haven't watched it and you want to show to
- 13:50Speaker 2: watch with your partner, Celebrity Traders UK three in Z
- 13:53Speaker 2: I give it four point eight busies out of five Wow,
- 13:56Speaker 2: it's out the game. Man, pikes your arm. All right,
- 13:58Speaker 2: we're up fellas. Okay. Studying at number five.
- 14:01Speaker 5: Of the TV shows I watched in twenty twenty five,
- 14:04Speaker 5: I'd be remiss if I didn't.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Mention Love Island. I need Island.
- 14:07Speaker 5: I always watched Love Island. I love Love Island. I'm
- 14:09Speaker 5: watching the Australian at the moment. I watched the UK
- 14:11Speaker 5: one earlier in the year and I follow that to
- 14:13Speaker 5: the very end every time. Right, okay, so that was
- 14:15Speaker 5: number five. Now and to actual TV shows. I just
- 14:18Speaker 5: started this one a couple of weeks ago. Veep oh yeah, drivers, yeah.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Right, yeah, you play like a politics.
- 14:28Speaker 5: Yeah, Vep and she she got like a billion Emmys
- 14:32Speaker 5: for that.
- 14:32Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:33Speaker 2: Why.
- 14:33Speaker 5: It's just like one liner after one liner after one liner,
- 14:37Speaker 5: and it's insanely impressive. Really yeah, great, great writers, insane
- 14:41Speaker 5: to watch.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Where did you watch it? What did I watch it on?
- 14:44Speaker 2: I think Neon Neon, Okay, because I might check that
- 14:46Speaker 2: out with a go.
- 14:48Speaker 5: The next one is last one laughing. Oh yes, I
- 14:52Speaker 5: bang that whole thing out. In the day they locked
- 14:54Speaker 5: a whole bunch of comedians and a rollover, yeah, probably,
- 14:59Speaker 5: and they basically try to make each other laugh, and
- 15:01Speaker 5: all of these comedians are dying trying not to laugh
- 15:04Speaker 5: until one of them is left in the room.
- 15:06Speaker 3: That's right.
- 15:06Speaker 2: You get voted out. If you laugh once, you get
- 15:08Speaker 2: a warning and if the second time you laugh, you
- 15:10Speaker 2: are gone. Is this the UK one?
- 15:11Speaker 5: Yes, And it's just a great way to make TV.
- 15:13Speaker 5: You bang the whole thing out in the day and
- 15:14Speaker 5: then you those episodes.
- 15:16Speaker 2: It's very it's hosted by Jimmy Carr. There are several
- 15:19Speaker 2: versions and it's actually I'll watch Prime yes that's sorry,
- 15:23Speaker 2: Oh okay, yeah, but there's several versions of it as
