- 0:05Speaker 1: The problem.
- 0:06Speaker 2: It's time for am I the Problem?
- 0:08Speaker 3: Where you send us your side of the story and
- 0:10Speaker 3: we help you figure out if you're in the right
- 0:13Speaker 3: or if maybe, just maybe you're the problem. Today we
- 0:18Speaker 3: have an email from Morgan. Hey, Gabe and Angie. My
- 0:22Speaker 3: name is Morgan, and you two make my morning so
- 0:24Speaker 3: much brighter and I love laughing at your banter.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Oh that's nice.
- 0:27Speaker 4: Thank you, Morgan.
- 0:28Speaker 3: Don't worry, Angie, You're not alone in laughing and instantly
- 0:32Speaker 3: getting annoyed when you hear Gabe smirk before he gives
- 0:35Speaker 3: the world's best advice in quotes, by the way.
- 0:38Speaker 4: I do give the world's best decision.
- 0:40Speaker 3: Sure, I have been having such a crazy conversation with
- 0:44Speaker 3: my friend group, and now I'm wondering, am I the problem?
- 0:46Speaker 3: I was in a serious relationship of six years that
- 0:49Speaker 3: sadly ended about four months ago. During that time, my
- 0:53Speaker 3: boyfriend paid for me to get a breast augmentation. He
- 0:57Speaker 3: wasn't even the one who brought it up. I just
- 0:59Speaker 3: mentioned and I really wanted to get the surgery done,
- 1:02Speaker 3: and he said he'd be willing to help pay for
- 1:04Speaker 3: it despite us breaking up. He's a really nice guy,
- 1:07Speaker 3: and I wish him nothing but the best long story short,
- 1:10Speaker 3: I got the surgery. He paid for almost all of it,
- 1:13Speaker 3: and my friends are wondering if I'm gonna pay him back.
- 1:16Speaker 3: I don't feel like I need to give him a dime.
- 1:19Speaker 3: We were together for six years, almost all of the
- 1:22Speaker 3: time was great, and I don't see the justification in
- 1:24Speaker 3: giving him any money back when he offered to pay
- 1:27Speaker 3: for it. Am I the problem? Should I pay him something?
- 1:31Speaker 3: Or do I treat this like any other gift and
- 1:33Speaker 3: not worry about it? Girl, your friends are being haters.
- 1:38Speaker 3: They just wish someone would pay for their tatas, and
- 1:43Speaker 3: they are mad that you get to keep yours even
- 1:47Speaker 3: though you didn't pay for them.
- 1:49Speaker 2: I think you don't owe that man a dime.
- 1:52Speaker 5: Angie, Yes, I think this would be the first time
- 1:57Speaker 5: in an am I the problem era?
- 2:00Speaker 4: We completely agree.
- 2:02Speaker 5: Girl, You better you better don't give him a dollar. Dudes,
- 2:08Speaker 5: this is what you sign up for when you do this.
- 2:10Speaker 5: It just is what it is. I'm sorry this guy
- 2:14Speaker 5: doesn't deserve a dime. I wouldn't give him anything exactly,
- 2:18Speaker 5: just like if I'm the girl and the and you
- 2:20Speaker 5: have the ring, or you call it off or whatever.
- 2:22Speaker 4: You don't give it back. Oh, it's the same thing.
- 2:28Speaker 5: The guy gave the gift to you as a gift.
- 2:31Speaker 5: His intention was for you to have it, not Oh,
- 2:34Speaker 5: you get to have it as long as I'm around.
- 2:35Speaker 5: That is the shadiest thing I've ever heard. You hang
- 2:39Speaker 5: on to your dollars. Maybe once in a while, send
- 2:42Speaker 5: him a snapchat of the update if you want.
- 2:44Speaker 4: Just to, just to let him.
- 2:48Speaker 3: See I respect you so much. Now, Gabe, you are
- 2:53Speaker 3: not the problem Morgan.
- 2:54Speaker 5: Seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 2:57Speaker 5: Do you think Morgan should pay this dude back something,
- 3:00Speaker 5: maybe half, you know whatever? Or should she just keep
- 3:05Speaker 5: all that money and enjoy her new look.
- 3:13Speaker 3: Morgan wants to know if she's the problem. Her boyfriend
- 3:17Speaker 3: paid for her to get a breast augmentation he offered,
- 3:21Speaker 3: but now that they've split, her friends think that she
- 3:24Speaker 3: should pay him back the money. She doesn't think she should.
- 3:29Speaker 3: Is Morgan the problem?
- 3:31Speaker 5: You and I I think, in one of the first
- 3:33Speaker 5: times ever in the history of am I the problem?
- 3:35Speaker 4: Agree?
- 3:36Speaker 5: She don't give him a dime. Now, if your conscience
- 3:39Speaker 5: is feeling guilty, all right, just hit up snapchat let
- 3:44Speaker 5: him get an up ding. That's right, that's how you
- 3:46Speaker 5: clear your conscience. We did get a text. I want
- 3:49Speaker 5: to make this very clear. This is from Sylvia. Okay,
- 3:52Speaker 5: I didn't say this, Sylvia said this. Sylvia said if
- 3:56Speaker 5: he got to enjoy those puppies even once the debt
- 3:58Speaker 5: is paid. And you know what, Sylvia, you are so right.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Sylvia's a woman after my own heart.
- 4:05Speaker 3: Big ninety eight Morgan got a bloom job. Her then
- 4:10Speaker 3: boyfriend offered to pay for it and did. But now
- 4:13Speaker 3: they've split. Her friends think she should pay him back
- 4:16Speaker 3: the money. She thinks she should keep it.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Is she the problem?
- 4:21Speaker 4: Today's Variety Big ninety eight point seven. Who's this Crystal?
- 4:24Speaker 5: So?
- 4:25Speaker 3: Did the guy ask for the money? Dog?
- 4:28Speaker 4: No?
- 4:28Speaker 5: No?
- 4:29Speaker 4: Or as we know no?
- 4:30Speaker 3: Well, what the hell is the problem?
- 4:32Speaker 2: Exactly? I'm telling you her friends are just being haters.
- 4:36Speaker 5: They are for real.
- 4:37Speaker 4: They want bigger boobs.
- 4:38Speaker 1: They should get a man that could do it for them.
- 4:40Speaker 5: Amen, Honey, better start gambling and hope you win some
- 4:44Speaker 5: money gambling. Just go and get a sugar daddy.
- 4:47Speaker 4: Ain't got a gamble nutting.
- 4:51Speaker 6: Big ninety eight poster.
- 4:56Speaker 3: My little victory, Gabe, is that I'm so celebrating birthday month.
- 5:01Speaker 3: My birthday was July third, but I celebrate the entire
- 5:04Speaker 3: month because I'm so annoying and my boyfriend Mikey is
- 5:10Speaker 3: a sweetheart, and just as like, that's fine, we can
- 5:13Speaker 3: celebrate you the whole month. So yesterday I got home
- 5:16Speaker 3: and there were several post its hidden throughout the house
- 5:20Speaker 3: with really loving, nice messages for my birthday.
- 5:23Speaker 4: That's beautiful.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Yes, it was very sweet.
- 5:25Speaker 3: And then on the New York Times games, you know
- 5:28Speaker 3: how there's like wordle and the Mini Crossword and all that.
- 5:31Speaker 3: One of the games is Strands, and he made a
- 5:35Speaker 3: personalized Strands game for me to play that was birthday themed.
- 5:40Speaker 3: So I just felt very loved. And that's my little
- 5:42Speaker 3: vig sty.
- 5:43Speaker 4: Oh that's wonderful.
- 5:44Speaker 5: That's actually very sweet and one of the most corny
- 5:47Speaker 5: I've ever heard.
- 5:48Speaker 2: I know, I love it for you corny and cheesy.
- 5:52Speaker 2: What's your little victory?
- 5:54Speaker 4: You gave my little victory.
- 5:55Speaker 5: I will have my mother in law, my sister in law,
- 6:00Speaker 5: my niece, and nephew coming to town today.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Oh that's sweet.
- 6:05Speaker 5: So I get to see them for about twenty four
- 6:07Speaker 5: hours and then I'm off to a bachelor party for
- 6:12Speaker 5: you know, the next five days or whatever.
- 6:14Speaker 3: So you'll be sweet and wholesome for twenty four hours.
- 6:19Speaker 5: It literally goes from yes being you know, polite son
- 6:22Speaker 5: in law. I'm hanging out with some of my closest
- 6:25Speaker 5: buddies in Chicago, enjoying the last remaining single days of
- 6:31Speaker 5: one of my friends. So I guess the little victory
- 6:33Speaker 5: in and of itself is I guess from now until
- 6:36Speaker 5: like middle of next week, I will just be surrounded with,
- 6:40Speaker 5: you know, people I love and care about.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Okay, I like all right.
- 6:44Speaker 5: The SP's were yesterday and Jane Gillis had some interesting,
- 6:54Speaker 5: funny moments. He had some moments that people didn't love
- 6:56Speaker 5: as much as kind of mixed reviews. Right, And one
- 6:59Speaker 5: of the in my opinion, just great jokes of the
- 7:03Speaker 5: evening was where he basically trolled the audience into thinking
- 7:08Speaker 5: someone was a WNBA player and really it was just
- 7:11Speaker 5: his buddy's wife.
- 7:12Speaker 4: Yeah, that's all it was.
- 7:13Speaker 3: That's the main one. Like, I thought that was funny.
- 7:17Speaker 3: But everything else, oh, it seemed a little women bashing.
- 7:22Speaker 5: Sure. Well, and with Sports yesterday, the SPS, that's what
- 7:26Speaker 5: it is. It's you know, the oscars for sports, and
- 7:29Speaker 5: when it comes to ladies in sports, almost half of
- 7:32Speaker 5: women say they have received a sexist insults while playing sports,
- 7:38Speaker 5: you know, whether they're working out. It doesn't necessarily mean
- 7:41Speaker 5: you're on a team on a field somewhere. You can
- 7:42Speaker 5: be just working out or yeah, you know, at the park,
- 7:45Speaker 5: whatever the case may be. And so have you ever
- 7:49Speaker 5: had anything said to you while you were working out,
- 7:51Speaker 5: playing sports, or on a walk, walking the dog or whatever.
- 7:55Speaker 3: You know what, I'm a top heavy broad and so
- 7:57Speaker 3: anytime I plead, what's that me? But when I played tennis,
- 8:06Speaker 3: then there's like been passers by.
- 8:09Speaker 2: I usually get comments on the movement.
- 8:14Speaker 5: Yeah, I will never forget this. Now this is a
- 8:17Speaker 5: you know, a whole different thing sort of. You know,
- 8:19Speaker 5: I'm a dude and I'm not a lady being thrown
- 8:22Speaker 5: sexist insults. But I will never forget what a high
- 8:26Speaker 5: school girl said to me. I was a sophomore playing
- 8:30Speaker 5: on the varsity baseball team.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Oh it was a sophomore, look at you.
- 8:34Speaker 5: And so in between innings were warming up, right, and
- 8:37Speaker 5: there was this school I don't know if anyone's heard of,
- 8:40Speaker 5: Schicago Lakes is how you say it.
- 8:43Speaker 4: And there was and we just knew I don't.
- 8:46Speaker 5: Know what it was, but there baseball fans were ruthless,
- 8:50Speaker 5: I mean mean mean, and it was always kind of fun,
- 8:53Speaker 5: you know, because they were kind of good. We were better,
- 8:56Speaker 5: and it was just a great kind of rivalry.
- 8:58Speaker 4: Right.
- 8:58Speaker 5: So, in between innings, I'm warming up and I am
- 9:01Speaker 5: playing catch as just a sixteen year old kid with
- 9:04Speaker 5: this dude, and this high school girl yells, hey one,
- 9:08Speaker 5: I was number one, right, and she goes, you're a
- 9:13Speaker 5: F word space F word.
- 9:16Speaker 4: Combine those two. Oh my gosh, appalled. I was shocked.
- 9:22Speaker 5: I'd never heard anything like that in my sports life,
- 9:26Speaker 5: and to this day I still remember it.
- 9:29Speaker 3: You know what, it is kind of nice to see
- 9:30Speaker 3: women in men's fields.
- 9:32Speaker 5: Though, did you know the word how we say it
- 9:38Speaker 5: here in America? Croissant? It's pronounced croissant, you know what.
- 9:44Speaker 3: Yes, I do know that, but it's annoying because we're
- 9:47Speaker 3: not French. Okay, so to be like, okay, can I
- 9:51Speaker 3: get a quassan and uh some butter? Like, no, it's croissant.
- 9:57Speaker 5: Well, as we go on this debate that has been
- 9:59Speaker 5: deemed as the hardest word to pronounce correctly here in America,
- 10:06Speaker 5: is there are there words.
- 10:07Speaker 4: That you know before going into them?
- 10:09Speaker 5: You're like I might skip this one over in the
- 10:11Speaker 5: story here because I know I don't say that right.
- 10:15Speaker 4: Like, for example, you know the word quenwa.
- 10:18Speaker 5: Yeah, the first time I saw that word spelled out.
- 10:22Speaker 4: Let me tell you, I hit you with a quinoa
- 10:25Speaker 4: so fast.
- 10:30Speaker 5: The reason I bring this up is the hardest words
- 10:32Speaker 5: to pronounce here in America are the ones that are
- 10:35Speaker 5: most frequently mispronounced, and I have got to be guilty
- 10:39Speaker 5: of all of them.
- 10:40Speaker 2: Oh, really, like one, give me one.
- 10:42Speaker 4: Have you ever heard of an asie bowl? Yes?
- 10:46Speaker 3: But I feel like I've often been with people who
- 10:50Speaker 3: are like, can I get a Nakai bowl? That be me?
- 10:53Speaker 4: That would be me?
- 10:55Speaker 5: Like, for example, the word porsche, it's actually pronounced Porsche
- 11:00Speaker 5: with two syllables.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Wait, that's when I didn't I always say Porsche.
- 11:04Speaker 4: Yeah, I thought it was Porsche. The correct way to
- 11:06Speaker 4: say it is Porsche.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Okay, well I was not aware.
- 11:10Speaker 5: All right, here's a fun one for you. What about Uh,
- 11:12Speaker 5: you know how we say genre?
- 11:14Speaker 4: Yeah? What do you think the correct way to say
- 11:17Speaker 4: it is genre?
- 11:20Speaker 2: It is genre?
- 11:21Speaker 4: That is correct.
- 11:23Speaker 5: I guess like me, Gabe, here's the best one, my
- 11:26Speaker 5: favorite one. I've never pronounced this right ever, Angie, you
- 11:30Speaker 5: actually can say this correctly.
- 11:33Speaker 4: How do you say Worcester server?
- 11:36Speaker 2: Oh like worcestersh sauce.
- 11:37Speaker 5: Yes, that's how you pronounced it. How is it said?
- 11:40Speaker 5: I'm not the only one right now who doesn't know
- 11:42Speaker 5: how to do this, but I need help.
- 11:44Speaker 3: Worcester sure, Worcester sure. I think you're supposed to take
- 11:47Speaker 3: the R off. It's because it's it's spelled like Worcester
- 11:50Speaker 3: sure or something ridiculous.
- 11:52Speaker 2: But I think it's just Worcestershire. You know what's not
- 11:55Speaker 2: on the list that is it? I don't know. I
- 11:58Speaker 2: feel like people always.
- 11:59Speaker 3: Get realtor wrong. They always say real litter.
- 12:03Speaker 4: Oh that's me. I definitely had the eye in there.
- 12:05Speaker 3: Realtor real litter, but it's real a realtor. I have
- 12:10Speaker 3: a realtor, not a real litter. The same with jewelry.
- 12:14Speaker 3: It's I think it's jewel jewelry, jewelry.
- 12:18Speaker 2: Okay, now I'm messing my own self.
- 12:21Speaker 4: Seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven?
- 12:24Speaker 4: Are there?
- 12:25Speaker 5: What's a word that you know you pronounced wrong, but
- 12:27Speaker 5: you just full send it every time you see it.
- 12:31Speaker 5: I really love that entrepreneur is pronounced on tre pra
- 12:38Speaker 5: newer entrepreneur.
- 12:39Speaker 4: Oh, I never do thera newer. Yeah, we just say entrepreneurs,
- 12:43Speaker 4: entrepreneur or broke.
- 12:48Speaker 5: And we learned yesterday that Miley Cyrus doesn't really have
- 12:52Speaker 5: any plans to tour anytime soon. She's not exactly thrilled
- 12:56Speaker 5: with the music industry as a whole. She just doesn't
- 12:59Speaker 5: really have any to do it and I don't think
- 13:01Speaker 5: it helps her sobriety.
- 13:02Speaker 3: The Yeah, she said that touring doesn't have the infrastructure
- 13:05Speaker 3: to support her sobriety and her mental health.
- 13:09Speaker 5: Yeah, which that kind of got me. Is that the great?
- 13:13Speaker 5: Is that the dream of all dreams? I'll just be
- 13:16Speaker 5: a gajillionaire and chill at home all day.
- 13:18Speaker 3: Yeah, that's she You know, it's the climb and now
- 13:21Speaker 3: she's got there's actually climbed.
- 13:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 13:25Speaker 5: Would you rather go out on tour and kind of
- 13:29Speaker 5: live that fast lifestyle you get to perform in front
- 13:32Speaker 5: of thousands of people every night? Or would you rather
- 13:36Speaker 5: count your Benjamin's from your bathroom?
- 13:38Speaker 4: All right?
- 13:39Speaker 3: I feel like if depending on where you're feeling with
- 13:44Speaker 3: your ego, right, Because if you don't need tons of
- 13:48Speaker 3: adoration and love from fans, then yeah, just make your
- 13:52Speaker 3: music collect your paychecks whatever. But if you're someone who
- 13:56Speaker 3: needs a lot of attention, yeah, looking at you, Gabe. No,
- 14:01Speaker 3: if you're someone who needs a lot of attention, I
- 14:03Speaker 3: feel like touring might.
- 14:04Speaker 2: Be the move.
- 14:05Speaker 5: Oh I'll be performing at the Fargo Dome to night.
- 14:09Speaker 5: I don't know if I it'd be. It's easy to
- 14:11Speaker 5: sit here and say this in a world that I
- 14:13Speaker 5: don't exist in. There. Ah, there's gotta be something awesome
- 14:16Speaker 5: about the adrenaline rush of performing in front of a
- 14:20Speaker 5: bunch of people. Well, yeah, it'd be something great about this.
- 14:22Speaker 3: As the thing is like, think about you know, you
- 14:25Speaker 3: love your fans and everything, but if you are not
- 14:28Speaker 3: on tour and you just go online to get the
- 14:31Speaker 3: love from your fans.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Also, all of.
- 14:33Speaker 3: The troll comments are in there, all of the negative
- 14:36Speaker 3: stuff is on there. But when you're touring and you're
- 14:39Speaker 3: about to do your show, you can be ninety nine
- 14:42Speaker 3: point nine percent sure that everyone that is there to
- 14:45Speaker 3: see you is there because they love you. Don't think
- 14:47Speaker 3: any means buying concert tickets to be like I hate you,
- 14:51Speaker 3: you know what I mean?
- 14:52Speaker 5: Yeah, if you if seven oh one two eight zero
- 14:55Speaker 5: one nine eight seven, what do you think would you
- 14:57Speaker 5: miss touring if you were a pop star or would
- 15:01Speaker 5: you love a life at home?
- 15:03Speaker 4: And if someone.
- 15:05Speaker 5: Pays, you know, two three four, five hundred dollars for
- 15:08Speaker 5: a ticket because they hate you, you just count your money.
- 15:11Speaker 4: They are an idiot? All right, Kelly? What about you?
- 15:14Speaker 4: What are you doing? Are you going out on tour?
- 15:16Speaker 4: Are you stay at home?
- 15:17Speaker 5: Honestly, I'd rather stay home, rich and chill.
- 15:19Speaker 1: I'm touring just sounds.
- 15:20Speaker 3: So exhausting and there's no way I'm living out of
- 15:23Speaker 3: a suitcase and missing my bed all the time. Yeah, yeah,
- 15:27Speaker 3: you know what, Adele, She's got it right because she
- 15:30Speaker 3: hates touring. Yeah, but she also loves her adoring fans,
- 15:34Speaker 3: so she just will disappear for however long and then
- 15:37Speaker 3: hit us up with a residency so that she's not
- 15:40Speaker 3: moving anywhere. She's just in the same place for however long,
- 15:44Speaker 3: and then she gets her fans for like six months straight.
- 15:47Speaker 5: And I'm sorry if I'm Miley Cyrus, I'm not living
- 15:50Speaker 5: out of a suitcase. I have a runner to go
- 15:52Speaker 5: get me a new outfit every day. Okay, I'm not
- 15:55Speaker 5: chilling with a suitcase. Uh Mason, what are you doing? Man? Well?
- 15:59Speaker 6: I love a ten and I'm happiest when I'm busy,
- 16:01Speaker 6: So give me the life of a touring rock star
- 16:04Speaker 6: any day. I can't imagine how thrilling it is to
- 16:06Speaker 6: feel all that energy and appreciation coming at you times
- 16:10Speaker 6: ten or fifty thousand people.
- 16:13Speaker 4: See that's I think I'd get addicted to the adrenaline
- 16:15Speaker 4: rush of it.
- 16:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, the grass is always greener.
- 16:23Speaker 5: There's been a lot of just dog activity here in
- 16:27Speaker 5: the FM area and that continues with for Love of
