This episode's releasing on Wednesday. Shout out to the Earth, April 22nd. Thank you for being here. Thank you Earth. Appreciate ya. Matt, I thought we could say something that we like about the earth. I sprung this on you last minute. I appreciate how far away it is from the sun, but not too far away. It's the perfect amount. out God. you. Shout out earth. Shout out God. It's of fitting because we just did a last episode. My Brody of Week was Artemis 2 and then it just happened to be right around the next week. So shout out Earth Day. Matt, how are you doing though? We're well. We're doing well, man. Played some golf today. Did play some golf. Yeah. How'd that go? The people loved the update on the golf game. It went better than it usually does. For me. What was the final score? 107. Okay. It's the final score. Only one par. All right. But I had to get one in there. That's kind of like my goal. Yeah. Pause. I got it in there though. It took like 14 holes, but it was there. Did you, how was the driver hit today? I don't hit driver baby three times. Okay. Just never. I haven't learned how to hit it. It was an issue. It's kind of why I don't hit it. We'll keep, we'll working on the golf game. I do four hybrid off the tee, which honestly, yeah, it's not the issue. It's the really the short game. I would also say. I'm struggling with the short game. I went and played on Sunday for my brother's birthday. We did a birthday round for him. I went and played at Stevens park in Dallas, which first of all, if anyone is in the Dallas area, can't recommend that course enough. ⁓ you do have to book like seven days in advance for a tee time. Like they don't do online reservations or anything. So you have to call like 7am, seven days in advance. So you have to try and plan it out, but highly recommend it feels like a true Dallas course mixed with a little bit like, ⁓ I haven't played Augusta national, but I hear how hilly it is. It's a pretty hilly course for Dallas. So. Matt, we definitely need to go play it as a podcast. Yeah. I think you played today. I played the lakes course at, ⁓ fire wheel. assume you played that. Yeah. I, ⁓ I actually did play that when I was in high school golf, played that for like our district tournament or whatever. Did not go well, but it's a tough course. Dude, I'm not gonna lie. The condition, the course that was in good shape. You're not excellent shape. Ooh. Okay. I mean, it was like 50 bucks something. 50 and some change for the, you know, the tee time and a small bucket of range balls. shout out anyone in the Dallas area. Check out the lakes. Fire will sponsor us. Permat, permat on Brody pod. Put it on the card. That's good, man. Um, speaking of which, there was a lot of happening this weekend in the world of sports, whether it was the NBA, NHL. Um, actually I think that's like the only playoffs going on. And then obviously the MLB happening right now. But we can get into our Brody's of the week and Matt, go ahead and start us off. will, I will start off with the Orlando Magic. I just snuck into the playoffs as an eighth seed. Obviously lost to the Sixers in the play-in and beat the Hornets by 30 something to, ⁓ to secure their eighth seed spot. ⁓ up against the one seed Pistons who was my Brody last week. ⁓ so I think there, there's some curse that's going on with the Brody's because the magic as an HC beat them in game one. But you know, shout out to the magic. had a lot of injuries this season. Going into the season, the magic have, it's a whole like had a lot of expectations by like a lot of people, know, Palo, Franz, ⁓ traded for, you know, Desmond Bane, really good, you Big three or core three, however you want to put it. ⁓ but you know, they're fully healthy and now they're, they're kind of playing with heart. They're playing like they want to actually win. And I know they're an eight seed, but I don't this team. don't look like an eight seed. I got normal eights. was the only like real upset in the first round, at least in the first game. Now where the rest of the series goes, I don't know, but the Pistons. I don't know if you cursed them at, I just don't know if they're cursed. Cause they haven't won a home playoff game, I think since like 2008. So I think it's just a minute. think it was like they lost to Boston or something was the last time. So I think there's magic or just a, when they want to be, when they're fully healthy and they want to play. They're really good team. did a, whenever we did our NBA talk last week, I did take the magic in the play in now. I thought they were going to be a. I thought they were going to beat the 76 years, but you know, they got in, they snuck in, took down the Hornets, did what they needed to do. And like I said, Paulo just, he strikes me as a game changer. I am shocked because I thought with the Pistons, thought if Cade Cunningham was going to play, I thought for sure they'd be able to win this. Um, especially the first game, like they always say a series isn't certain until the road team wins or until the, um, until the road team wins a game. And now we got ourselves a series. Yeah. Cade had a really good game as well, but just. That was like 39 or something, almost a 40 piece. Was it really? Yeah. I just saw you had at least 30. I just pulled up the box score of all that. It has been a couple of days since I watched it. Yeah, I guess in the last moments he'd probably scored a little bit. Shout out to the Magic. Shout out to the Magic. Hopefully, I bet you just cursed him. I bet now the Pistons are going to go rattle off four straight and you're going to break your... You're doing like a reverse jinx. You jinx the Pistons and now you're going to jinx the Magic. So great job, Matt. Next week I'll make the Pistons, my Brody again. Yeah. works out. ⁓ I also had an NBA Brody of the week, ⁓ but this isn't really a team. It's more the San Antonio Spurs fans. Striping out the arena in game one against Portland on Sunday. Spurs did win the game 111 to 98, but it was an all time stripe job, Matt. I saw yellow, I saw blue, I saw pink. Did you see this going around on like Twitter? No, I mean, I was watching the game. guess it had noticed that. They had shirts laid out. Yeah. Did you know like all the different sections? It was like normally like when you see like fans, you know, wear t-shirts to an arena game or these playoff games. It's like all one solid color. They were very organized. There were sections that were yellow. There were sections that were blue and sections that were pink. Now I don't know how intimidating those colors are for teams that are visiting, but the Spurs were absolutely ready for the moment. Did have a couple just stats. So the Spurs have waited seven years for this playoff moment The players showed up in all-black suits The arena was flooded with the fiesta colors Wimby had 35 points in his playoff debut It was a franchise record since Tim Duncan had 32 in 1998 It was Mitch Mitch Johnson's first playoff win as a head coach And it was like I said the Spurs first playoff win since 2019 So I raised the question, Matt, and I guess you'll have to go check out what the arena looked like, but I want to raise this question of who's the better t-shirt fan base? it the Oklahoma city Thunder or is it the San Antonio Spurs now? I don't think you can beat the Thunder because they do like before the game starts, they are a pen in the big, uh, the big screen around and they're going to fans that aren't wearing the t-shirt. Yeah. And they're like, they're like trying to peer pressure them to wear the t-shirt. I don't think they would get me, but I saw a clip. know, uh, Tim Duncan and David Robinson were sitting next to each other. And I think that the people behind, like directly behind him weren't wearing the shirts is Timmy D and the Admiral were wearing the shirts. Yeah, did see Tim Duncan. I people were right behind. I don't think they were wearing the shirts. And it was like, if the two best players in franchise history are wearing the shirts, put on the shirts. Like you're not better than, Those guys see you there for a reason to support the team. Yeah. Put on the shirts. I'll be interested to see what they do moving forward. If they're to go back to this fiesta color. I, like I said, I don't know how intimidating those colors are. Like when you, when you look at Oklahoma city Thunder game or something, it's like the dark blue. It's like, it just looks like a sea blue or whatever the Navy that they're wearing. They match the, they match the shirts, the jerseys. ⁓ but these fan bases, they're getting more organized and maybe, maybe spurs are a slept on, you know, T-shirt fan base. We'll see. do remember, uh, Derrick in the playoffs against the Heat, I guess in the finals against the Heat. Uh, it was like a wide out game and I, the entire like stadium was just white. And, and, uh, Dallas was this a 2011 run or? Yeah. It was, uh, in Miami. I don't know if I remember this. All the fans, they were in the white as they handed out white t-shirts, whatever, but it was just completely white. I mean, I would love to see like a ranking of like the best t-shirt games of all time in the NBA. Cause I, you don't ever see this with like any other sports. It's normally just only NBA football. wouldn't, I don't think the fans be organized other than like college football can do it. College football, they'll have like whiteout games, blackout games. Penn State dude. Yeah. Penn State does well. know Texas Tech does a good blackout game. Went to that a couple of times. I'm sure you've checked out dude. No, it's not. Not black out in that way. Black out is like everyone's just wearing black. It's a night game normally. You don't want to that in the daytime. That's a bad, that's a bad, that's bad. That just wouldn't be a good time. It'd be very hot. All right, cool. What's your next Brody of the week, Matt? Um, I'll go into Mr. Matty Fitzpatrick. Ooh, Matt on Matt. Winning the RBC heritage. Um, like I was telling you earlier, I turned the game on yesterday around like 4 30. Something like that. caught the last hole to Scotty and Scotty Sheffler and Matt, Matt Fitzpatrick. ⁓ Scotty was down one going into the 18th hole. ⁓ they, had their tee shots. They hit their, their second shots and it was essentially like, it was rather green off of it. ⁓ there is kind of in the same spot. They both have their chips. Scotty hit it to, I don't know, three feet. I was tapping territory and, know, Maddie just hit it very short. I don't know if it checked up too much on him or if he just didn't land it in the spot that he wanted to on the green, but he had like a 22 foot putt for par, ended up missing it. they, I was watching it and they let all the fans rush onto the fairway to watch, you know, their, the third shots. Four shots, whatever. ⁓ and then, you know, ended up, Scotty ended up winning the whole till they're going to a playoff. So they have to re-T at 18. So they got to get all the fans off of the fairway and drive them back up the tee box. ⁓ they teed off, I guess, Scottie hit a better shot than Matty cause he, he was, ⁓ hitting a second shot first and dude, that second shot that. For Matthew Patrick. Yes. It's like a four iron. Dude. know the wind, the wind was probably insane. They're like on, on the edge, like right by the ocean. So that's an ocean or if that's like a Bay, but it's in South Carolina is where they're playing. Okay. So either way, mean, off of body water, the wind is usually a lot more. So it's passing, had a crazy absurd shot to essentially tap in range for pros, but Scotty didn't. Yeah, Scotty's, I think Scotty hit a nine iron and it ended up being very, uh, the wind caught it. Like you were talking about and it came up well short of the green. you had to then chip on. was right above the bunker of the green. Yeah. Uh, didn't go in, but still he hit a, you know, a bad shot, a bad chip shot. and Fitzpatrick was able to knock his in for birdie. Yeah. I mean, Scotty would have had to like essentially hole out or. You know, get it really clutch and he didn't. I also turned this tournament on at the same time that you did. Um, I don't know why we were just in sync. We weren't even by each other watching this or whatever, but. just, we just were synced up on the sports watching. Um, I did see, or I heard that Fitzpatrick was leading by three shots with three holes to play. Um, yeah. Well, he didn't choke. He part out. He went par, par bogey and Scheffler went birdie birdie par. So you eventually made up that three very quick. Except the last hole. Yeah. But yeah, like you said, the one thing I didn't like about the playoff and that I guess about RBC heritage that they do is a little different. Like some courses they do their playoff rules different. They will play the 18th hole until someone wins. So if they would have tied that set that first playoff hole, they would have gone right back to 18, retweeted off. I'm not a fan of that. I wish they would go like do different holes. Like I think the masters does that it's like 18 and then they'll go to 10. And then I think it's like 17 or 16. Like they kind of move around the course. The players does that. Yeah. The players does that. I like that format. I understand the RBC heritage. The fans are already there on 18. Like you said, they let them come running up the 18th fairway. They let them do it again on the playoff hole. ⁓ I think they just want that like crowd mentality and like the fans were kind of, they kind of showed their teeth a little bit. They were yelling some USA chants. Obviously Fitzpatrick being from across the pond, being the, being the England guy that he is. ⁓ Kind of got shaken up a little bit on it, but it was a, it wasn't all time. I do like that. The fans being involved, they try and keep them involved in this, but it was crazy to see Scottie Schafer. thought for sure he's going to, I thought if he got to the playoff, said it's Scottie's tournament to lose. When Scottie sees blood in the water, it's usually over. And now this is two tournaments in a row. mean, he just finished second at the masters and then he loses in a playoff to Matt Smith Patrick at the RBC heritage. Is Scotty kind of lost his edge a little bit? I mean, he's still getting second place, but like normally like, I don't want to compare it to tiger, but come on. Tiger wouldn't have lost that. know, tiger would have stepped up and hit a shot as well. No hate to Scotty. Love Scotty, but. Yeah. That's a Fitzpatrick's second RPC heritage win. It's his second win on tour this year. Also second win at. RBC heritage. that is RBC heritage. It is fun that it's after master's week because it's, they also get a jacket there. It's a plaid jacket. Yeah. The lesser known plaid jacket that, you know, guys are going for it. I didn't realize it was in South Carolina. I, like you said, the wind, like the way it's coming off that water, it looks like it's on the ocean. couldn't tell. could see land. So there is a lighthouse on 18. I don't know if that lighthouse is like an actual functioning lighthouse or if it's just there because the tournament's there. I imagine it's got to be a real lighthouse because there is a big body of water right next to it. We're not lighthouse experts. We're not geography. We're not here for geography lessons. We're here for sports. A quick Google search could probably give that information. You're not going to get on the pod. We're just, we're just reporting what we saw. I will shout out, uh, Matt, Matt Batchelor and his wife expecting their firstborn child. So maybe that's why he had that extra little bit of edge to him on the playoff. Did you see for his child? Did you see his putt on the first playoff hole or I guess the only playoff hole that ⁓ after that four iron he hit, he was laying on the ground trying to read the green. I was like, if I was to go lay on the ground in my normal round of golf or something, I got to make the putt. Like you can't be, you can't be laying on the ground. I make the putt. Like I've done that but it's been like kind of jokingly. Yeah. No, he was If I can't read the putt like squatting, I'm not gonna. Yeah, he was full on belly button to the grass. Just thought that was, I was like, all right, that's kind of crazy to do, you know, whatever it takes when you're putting for probably millions of dollars. Yeah, for sure. I was thinking to myself like. Maybe I'll pull that out of my next round or something. I'd help you. I made a couple good putts. I was thinking like... I was thinking like Scotty lost his whole... lost the playoff, he's second, like... He's still making over a million dollars. Right. Like he's not hurt. Yeah, but when you get to like Scotty's pedigree or like any of these like, the winning players, they want to win, they gotta get those tour wins, know, forget They got enough money already. Yeah. I just thought, you know... don't wanna... In the field fire. Yeah, I think... I think... I saw something on Twitter earlier. ⁓ I think Scotty can complete the grand slam. ⁓ did see this. ⁓ with the next, the next major. ⁓ I think he needs. Or the major after that. I think he needs the US open. It's, it's, it's whatever one is on June 30th. Okay. And then speed can complete the grand slam, but it's the one after that, whichever majors after the one that Scotty needs. It was like both of those guys can, you know, complete the grand slam to be cinema. ⁓ okay. don't know. Maybe it's not June 30th. When's father's day? Cause I saw the same thing on Twitter. 16th, 20th. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So I did. All Here it is. okay. So it's like June 21st, 2026. It's the U S open. Scotty needs that to get the career grand slam. It's also his birthday and father's day. So he had. have it, except that probably be the best day in golf history. I don't know. might have to rank the best day. Father's day just had his second little, little baby, little, little Scheffler complete in the grand slam. that would take away from the master's law. It's RBC heritage playoff laws. It's it's got to be back. We'll be looking for it. If he does it, he'll be our brody of the week. Speaking of Brody the Week, my next Brody the Week, or should I say Brodet of the Week, is Jordan Woolery, UCLA senior infielder. She had four home runs, went six for seven, 10 RBIs combined in the double header on Saturday against Cal. They also played four games total this week, and she went 11 for 15, seven home runs, 16 RBIs on the week out of those four games. She won her fourth Big 10 player of the week this season. No other player in the Big 10 has more than two. She is now with the, with the four home runs that she had on Saturday in the double header. She is now at 30 home runs and a hundred RBIs on the season. She and her teammate, Megan Grant became the first duo at NCAA D1 history to each hit 30 or more home runs in the same season. And she is now the fifth player at NCAA softball history record at least a hundred RBIs in a season. Like I said, on Saturday, she had the four home run, four home runs in two games. UCLA won both those games. beat Cal 13 to five and then nine to one. And then to top it all off, she got the golden softball ticket to be drafted to the AUSL athletes unlimited softball league. So it's like a ticket that guarantees she's going to get drafted. That's Australia, right? I don't think it, I think it's American. I don't know too much about the AUSL. Jordan got it. Also her teammate, Megan Grant and Taylor Tinsley also received a ticket, a golden ticket to AUSL. So shout out UCLA women's softball. Absolutely doing big things. Shout out Jordan Woolery doing huge things. Yeah. I don't know why I thought Australian, probably because the AUS athletes unlimited athletes, unlimited shop. Yeah. I think it's like the professional softball league. Yeah. There should be one. Glad there is one, but shout out to them. That's honestly 30 plus herons for two players at any level and then or women's, you know, it's absurd. Yeah. The season's not even done yet. She could add more to that total. And I just thought like, I'm not going to lie when I first saw this that I thought it was four home runs in one game and that's all four home runs and double hitter. Still exceptional stuff. Like I said, she went six for seven at the plate between both those games and she had 10. total RBI's, so literally led her team to victory on it. I think she was DH-ing in the game. I know she's listed as a senior infielder, I think she was just DH-ing, so literally the show hey-o-tah-nee. Easy for a reason. But with that, we will come back. It's kind of a jam-packed show a little bit. This is gonna be an NFL draft focus show, so next we're gonna come back to some NFL news, NFL draft. know Matt's been fiending for it. So we'll do that when we come back. Or back for some NFL news going around the league a little bit. Starting off with Will Anderson Jr. absolutely gets a bag for the Houston Texans. Three years, $150 million extension. ⁓ 134 million of that is guaranteed. He is now the highest paid non-quarterback making around $50 million a year. Matt, I have a list of the other non-quarterbacks, what they're making. So Micah Parsons, 46.5 million. Aiden Hutchinson at 45 million, Jackson Smith, 42.15 million, TJ Watt, 41 mil, and Jamar Chase at 40.25 million. Is Will Anderson worth the money, Matt? 100 % Yeah. Got it. Especially after that, the playoff run, had a little bit. Featured, did it play the year. About young years. And I saw the Texans, like a lot of their money's in their defense now. ⁓ a place to put it, dude. However, it's not like CJ Stroud was doing much. So yeah, if their defense wasn't that good, they'd be in channels. They would not have even been in the playoffs. So I think, you know, interesting approach from the Texans, but you know, they got the stars on defense. They got to pay them. They're just going to be really good. Next thing coming up here, Matt, the Eagles wide receiver, AJ Brown is expected to be traded to the Patriots. After June 1st, you're to be teaming up with Drake May. Do we like this move? Also, I, this is just a crazy move that this is coming out. figured that. The Anna Racini would break that news, but ⁓ she's under, she's undergoing some scrutiny at this moment. Off the field stuff. But I just, I guess. I don't know what is leading the Eagles to want to do this. don't know if it was just cause the off the field applications that have been going on a little bit. AJ Brown. know, you know, he's a little bit of a diva receiver. know, we talked about it in previous podcasts, probably a long time ago, but, uh, he just was not getting the ball as much as he wanted to, or as much as he should have been. It's just not really like a, a pass first kind of offense, you know, whether that's like due to the Off the scheme or whether that's due to, you know, Jaylen hurts. And ability to really be that number one pasture. That's going to stir up some of the Eagles fans. But if AJ Brown wants to leave your number one receiver, probably top, definitely top 15 receiving the league. Obviously there's something going on, whether it's on the field or off the field or whether it's both combined. Now I think, I just don't know who. Is leading this, is it the Eagles wanting to get rid of AJ Brown? Is it AJ Brown wanting to go a different, do a different team? Is it kind of mutual? this just like a, like a toxic relationship that these guys are just getting out of? Cause it seems like it's just been a negative feedback loop for a couple of seasons now, you know, he's not getting the ball. He wants the ball. Then he goes to the media and says like all the stuff that's going on. Like, think of this one, I, uh, I would think it's mutual. Yeah. I mean the, from the Eagles perspective, They had the Vaunte Smith who could arguably be, arguably be a, a number one receiver on a lot of teams. ⁓ he's definitely capable of stepping up, you know, if, when they do trade AJ Brown, he's really that good. ⁓ and so I think it's just, ⁓ giving AJ around what he wants and the Eagles, I guess they're not going to lose that much. know in the previous seasons, you know, they've been throwing it to him a lot. ⁓ he's really. kind of really consistent as a wide receiver one, but. They've had like the one or two games where it's like a season and it's been maybe even more than that where AJ Brown can literally just take over a game and win it for them. And they're just, think with last year, like you said, like with Devonta Smith, what he's been able to, what he did last year, he's kind of taken a step up and he can show that he's capable of taking that role being the whatever receiver. think even like at the start of last season, I brought up this question of like, who is the wide receiver one for the Eagles? Yeah. It's not even was having such a good season. Simon just this year he's been good every year has been in the league to Montesmith. I mean, yeah, just say like last year I noticed I noticed him there was a different level that he was playing at He was a heisman trophy winner in college like he is a good receiver, but It's just gonna be interesting I just don't know I've ever seen like a team like expected to trade them at June 1st like it's already out there before the draft So guess the Eagles are gonna have to like target a receiver or get someone and go sign someone This off season, guess there might be waiting until after the draft to see what they need. Yeah. It seems like a lot of the receivers have already kind of moved around. They might, know, be Devontae Smith and then who else? don't really know. Dallas Goddard. It's going to be a tough Yeah. mean, Eagles have also already lost a couple of really good players as well in the third free agency. Yeah. But I'm interested to see the draft compensation or whatever the compensation may be. Maybe they get a player back. Yeah. I assume it's just going to be Pecs. Yes. now the Patriots don't have that many enticing players at the moment. They would be willing to trade. I mean, I liked the, with Drake May there for the Patriots and now the wide receiver room is going to be Stefan Diggs, AJ Brown, and then I guess Mack Hollins. Demario Douglas. Hunter Henry. Yeah. I mean, Patriots, it looks like it's going to help them out. I wonder what the... You bring up a good point. don't know what they're gonna have to give up for this, but I guess the trade's in the works. It's going to be a lot. No? It's premier. Ryder, Shaper, Lone. Speaking of trades, and this one isn't hypothetical, it happened. The Giants have traded Sexy Dexy, Matt. Dexter Lawrence, we just talked about them a couple episodes They traded them to the Cincinnati Bengals in exchange for the number 10 pick in this year's draft. Yeah. You're either on, it's literally one side of the fence or the other. Either you think the giants got a steal of a compensation for Dexter Lawrence, or you think that the Bengals fleeced the giants. He's 28. He's going to be, I think 29 in November, something like that. they did sign him under a contract, right? Like he is now under... him for, I think another two years. So... He's on a project for three years on the Bengals. They're going to have, English are going to have him for three years. Yeah. So, ⁓ could remember, I can remember if he had, know we were talking about the extension coming up. I had signed it already. No, that's, that was the issue and why he wanted to be traded. He finally did. ⁓ I guess what the Bengals losing, you know, Trey Hendrickson, they got to compensate that somehow. I know they got, you know, boy, a mafia free agency, good edge, edge rusher. ⁓ this They really needed help on the interior of the D line. Obviously this solves it immediately. The best in league. We've got elite run shopping ability and also rare pass rushing ability from a. I guess they're four three. So from a defensive tackle from a three tech standpoint. So, um, I, I don't, mean, number 10 in the draft though. It seems like a lot, also he's, they're not going to get a player immediately. That's going to be as good as Dexter Lawrence is right now. And they have, you know, Joe Burrow going to be fully healthy. Assume, assuming Lee. You bring up the point. It's like, did the, did the giants get a steal or did the Bengals fleece the giants? I think this, it's going to depend on what the giants end up getting at that 10th pick. Yeah. Nox have got him taken a defensive player. Yeah. Like, I mean, this draft as a whole, it's just not really as good as, you know, previous years. There are some positions that have depth, but there's most of the positions that have, you know, top tier talent and then it just drops after like the two or three guys. And we're about to get into draft talk. had one more thing I wanted to bring up. We're teasing it a little bit, but Matt, did you see Jamir Gibbs? the running back for the Lions. see his tattoo that he got? I did. Did you? Yeah. It's a little creepy. It's, yeah. He got Sonic the hedgehog, like his neck. I'll include a picture on the podcast. ⁓ Hopefully it's okay. I do like the cross on his back. Of course. But then he has three people on there and they're all three of him, different colleges that he played at. So. Just an interesting, the Sonic the Hedgehog, think there's probably a better one we could have chose. Cause I think he, it's like a live action one. Like it's just a, it's very realistic. It's just a lot for the back. So I thought it was an interesting tattoo. Well, I guess I'll keep the nickname. You know, Sonic was this nickname with David Montgomery's there. Right. and Knuckles, but like, you know, you do you, brother. Yeah. Listen. I will always say like pro athletes, should get tattoos, know, whatever you got to do. This one's just a, it was a little out there, but maybe that's what he was going for. Probably still going to be a really good running back this season. That's not going to change. That was all I, that was my last day. wanted to bring up. Signed off on that. Yeah. It's going to be interesting. All right. We've been teasing the draft. Teasing the it's going on this, this week actually it starts Thursday. ⁓ what is it? It's Thursday. At 7 PM central standard time. It's going on in Pittsburgh this year. Pittsburgh's the host city. Matt, I know we were going to do a big board. ⁓ I've just got a mock draft that I found on ESPN. the most up to date one. It's from Jordan Reed over there at ESPN. ⁓ it was released, like I said today as we're recording this podcast. I've listed out, we're just going to go through the first round and maybe some of the stuff in the second round. I know you kind of see it. So we'll kind of go through a little bit. Not every player. We don't need to go through every player. ⁓ but it's got obviously Las Vegas taking Fernando Mendoza number one overall. That was something like, think that's whenever they signed Kirk Cousins, they're still going to take Mendoza. He's the best quarterback to take right now. Yeah. I think that's, we don't need to talk too much on that. We've kind of talked about a little bit on the podcast. Yeah. ⁓ I did see that Arbel Reese going to the Jets is what they have in this. And then they have David Bailey going to Tennessee. I think those could be flip-flopped either way. just depends on what you want to take is more important. I know Tennessee, ⁓ no, not the Tennessee, the jets didn't do their visit with David Bailey, which makes me think the Arville Reese is what, who they're going to up going with. ⁓ I know you're more invested in the draft, Matt. So, I mean, will say for the saints at least, ⁓ they've, they meet with players every year, obviously. ⁓ and the players that meet with. They never draft in the first round. So it's only like the second round, third round guys. So, yeah. So regardless of if you meet with them or not, I don't know if that really has much bearing on if a team is going to draft them. I think outside of, mean, Mendoza is going to be the number one because we just need a quarterback. He's the best quarterback, but I think Arvalo Ruiz is probably the best player in this draft. think that's kind of like a consensus and Jets are in the position where they're going to take best player available. with, you when does off the board, you know, they're not going to take Tyson to number two. No. So they're going to go best player available. I, that's our boundaries. So I could, mean, maybe they go, you know, different direction. Maybe they go Bailey, maybe they, maybe they go, you know, ribbon vein. Well, the visits are interesting because I found out that each team could only get 30 visits. Yeah. Total. Yeah. They have to spend it like, if they know they're going to go someone normally like, like you're saying with the saints, they go second, third round fifth. six round, whatever it is, like they want to meet with those guys, not with who they know they're going to take in the first round. Which is crazy because you think the people that they meet with, they're probably going to draft, but sometimes that's not the case. Yeah. And we just talked about the Giants a little bit. The Giants have the fifth and 10th pick in this draft. 10th pick being from that Cincinnati. This mock draft has them going Sunny Styles at five and then at 10 going Caleb Downs. So a little... Ohio State there. I think that would be just an absolute scary defense. Caleb Down strikes me as one of the smartest defenders in this draft. Just from what I saw last year and the year before, like he is someone that you can just put him back there at the safety position and he can read the offense on what's going on. He's a playmaker. He's going to make it happen. Sonny Stiles, there was a couple of mocks early that had him fall into the Cowboys. I love that possibility. And there was even talks that the Cowboys now would trade up and go after and get them. I don't know how big of a package that would be or who they would even have to do it. Cause now if the giants are going with them, did. I don't think the giants would trade the Cowboys for the fifth pick. I don't think Tennessee is going to come out of there. think it might be locked that the Cowboys can't get them. I think he's the best physical player in this draft. Might be easier than you think. She's an off the ball linebacker. Yeah. obviously when it's hurting up, you gotta kind of tell the team who you're. Kind of going for or the position that you're going for or something like that. You got to give them something. So, I mean, the giants surely would go. Might go. So that's kind of like the consensus, but maybe they would trade down with Dallas, even though it's in division. Yeah. not like the division stuff. Good stuff. It's not like it's for, it's not like a trade off for like a quarterback or like a of receiver, you know, something a more premier position. Yeah. It's a linebacker, but He's the best. That's also too like Jerry Jones is very focused on the offense. Like what he trade up to go get a defensive guy. I mean, Sonny Stiles, great name would sell some jerseys for him. That's normally what Jerry's focused on. He was focused on extending Brandon Aubrey today. ⁓ yeah. We got to, we forgot to talk about Aubrey getting extended, but yeah. And that was a weird situation that went down too, because they let Aubrey kind of go and look at other teams and no one offered him. Actually, I don't think anyone really offered them that much money. Four years, 28 million. Yeah. ⁓ So, we just had the thing of like, how, how, when would you draft Aubrey? had that question come up on the podcast. So I thought for sure some other team would offer them a crazy boatload of money, but maybe I just don't know kickers like that or something. I teams don't, I guess teams haven't learned the lesson with ⁓ prioritizing kickers. Yeah, I'm glad they didn't cause I'm glad he's back on, ⁓ back on my team. back to the draft here. So this, this draft, this mock draft also had Jeremiah Love at seven going to Washington. I don't like that. I don't think that is accurate on what's going to happen here. I think if you're going to take a running back in the first round, you're going to need a team that's competing for a championship. Washington, think is still a couple pieces away from that. Normally like, you know, You go get a running back. That's you're trying to make, you're trying to make a move right there because you want to, you want to win that super bowl with them on that rookie contract. You don't want to get to the second, second contract with them. And the fact that now as scary as Jeremiah love and Jane Daniels would be, I just don't think that is, I just don't think that's what they need right now. have a completely different view. me, I, there are any backs on the Washington's roster are not going to prohibit them from drafting Jeremiah love who. Just like our Valerie's arguably the best player in the draft. ⁓ like the drop off from running back in this draft, ⁓ love and the rest of them, humongous, that's the only thing I could see like why they would do this is because there is a crazy fall off. know it's a running back, but it's not, it's not just running back there. He's a playmaker. He makes plays. can, you know, ⁓ break off 70 yard touchdowns, whether it's through the air or by the ground. that, you know, that's what, you know, teams drafting this height need. They need playmakers. And he's one of the biggest ones in the draft. Yeah. I've seen like the comparisons of like in the last 10 years of the running back prospects that have come out, it's like Saquon Barkley, Bijon Robinson, and then it's Jeremiah Love. Like that's, that's the type of like elevation that people are putting them up to. And we see how much if he is the best available in that situation, then you kind of have to take him. just think Washington would do better off taking someone else. But like you said, Matt, this draft isn't really too deep at a lot of other positions. Like also like fall off. Also the team's draft is high. It's just they're drafting best player available. So it's like, you know, they need, you know, probably every position running back, running back, pre-shell in this draft. Offensive tackles really shallow in this draft. I've heard like there's only like Seven offensive tackles and you could see them go in the first two rounds Yeah, there's a lot of tackles that profile better as guards as well. It's very few like true Tackles that are gonna stick at tackle the next level. Yeah As far as else what was on here. Okay, Dallas at 12 I was going with Dylan Theam in from safety at a organ listen I am not too sold on that draft. Really? Yeah. You know, listen, I do think we do need secondary help. We do need defensive help. I'm really hoping that we do trade up and go get like a Sonny Stiles or Caleb Downs or something like that. Or if Caleb Downs was a son, I'll make it to us. I understand he's probably the best available of what we got to get. And also with the next pick that they have the Cowboys in the first round taken, I think it was. Uh, pick 20, we got from Green Bay, they have us taking Chris Johnson from San Diego state corner. Yeah. don't know about that. Um, I listen, anything's better than what our secondary did last year. I think if we are going to do two draft picks for the Cowboys, it's gotta be like a sunny styles or it's gotta be a safety in a corner or something like that. Like it's going to be a very, and also there's no second round pick for the Cowboys this year. So that's going to be just those two. So we'll see. But I'm not too, I don't, if that mock happens, I'm not too, I'm very lukewarm about those picks, but you know, maybe it'll prove me wrong. know Chris Johnson had a really, really good combine, athletic showing at the combine. The end of it, that's really high. would say. It felt like a reach at 12. Two safeties going in the top 12. That's not going to happen. So I think we can kind of just, just throw that out. Okay, good. makes you feel better. Because, uh, Kailin Browns is like an anomaly, right? I think we can agree. He's, he's going to go top. I say he's one of the smartest defenders in the draft. And he has all the physical abilities. He's going to go top 12, probably top 10, like this Smock has, but I don't know if Dylan Theoniman is going to go that high. know, I, Dallas could solve a need, uh, better, you know, with another player on the corner. They get the corner there and sort of waiting till Still 20, something like that. Yeah. Looking at the receivers, have Carnell Tate going six to Cleveland, wide receiver out of Ohio State. ⁓ And then it has McKay Lemon, wide receiver USC going to the Los Angeles Rams. I do like both of those. ⁓ Carnell Tate joining Jerry Judy and Harold Fannin. over there in Cleveland, that receiving room takes a step up. Even though Harold Fanon is a tight end, receiving tight end, going to be a very, coming off a groin injury last year, but he's going to be back to his same ability. Especially with, got two back there, Shidora Sanders throwing him the ball. ⁓ I love the Rams taking Makai Lemon. I think that is a great fit for him with Pukunukua, Devante Adams. Like that might be one of the best trios we see in the NFL this next year. Yeah. Immediate, immediate starting slot receiver plug them in there. Um, you don't know how much longer to Vaughn Adams is going to be there. Uh, I'll say, I guess you don't know how much, how much longer Matthew Stafford is going to be there, but I mean, they're coming off a very successful year. They're, they're, uh, their goal is to playoffs. Yeah. The goal is not playoffs. The goal is super bowl. So this, mean, it's, it's kind of, they're drafting differently than And all the other teams around them. Yeah. They're drafting for right now. They're not drafting for the future. And so immediately McKaylemon, another humongous weapon for Stafford. they like he needs on their weapon. Yeah. And then the other receiver I saw here that I had highlighted Jordan Tyson wide receiver from Arizona state going to the New York jets at 16, the pick that they got from Indiana. I think Jordan Tyson, and this might just be, you know, because he torched my team in college football. He had an absolute day against Texas Tech with one hamstring. I think he's the best receiver in the, in the class. I think he, there's a lot of the health concerns with him. I think he's had plenty of time. He's going to be, you know, as far as like the durability transfer over to the NFL, like if he stays healthy, he's going to be an absolute weapon. Now the problem is he's going to go to the Jets and it's like, who's going to be the quarterback for the Jets. Actually, they just signed who they signed. You know, You know, brought Gino back. Yeah. They brought Gino back. ⁓ you know, listen, Gino can get him the ball. That's all he needs. And he, there was a video of him going around a day, ⁓ on Twitter of like his workout and he looks explosive. You're making the jumps that he needs to. He looks, anything, I think his draft stock could be going up. think he'd be going higher than 16. Yeah. That's the only reason he's falling as far as the entries. mean, Garrett Wilson. And Jordan Tyson at the X and the Y outside. That's frightening. And like I said, the one thing is like the durability. think like the hamstring, looked fine in the video that I saw the training video and that's like, that's all I need. It's very recency bias, but even with one hamstring, he was making college kids look, you know, may look challenging from the garden. So he's, he's, he's everything. And talking about the injury concerns, I see at 15. ⁓ this guy has Jermon McCoy going to the Buccaneers and this guy, ⁓ corner for Tennessee. He didn't even, he didn't play the entire, ⁓ last season. It was ACL. was ACL. I believe so. Yeah. But I mean, that's just, if he was fully healthy, which he is, I think he, ⁓ it was in the combine, but I think he ran, did some drills at the, at his pro day. ⁓ yeah, he's exceptional, exceptional, fully healthy. And this just shows that. You know, teams maybe they're going to keep the, entry history, you know, in the back of their mind, but they're drafting for potential more than anything. Yeah. And once again, these teams are going to be meeting with these players. You're going to know how healthy they're feeling. Yeah. And I knew there was a couple early mocks that had the Cowboys taking Jemad McCoy. ⁓ That's kind of changed now, especially, you know, with the talks that Dallas could be trying to trade up to get something even higher. But I know that he was someone that they were kind of putting towards the Cowboys at 20 ⁓ Another receiver that I saw here Casey Concepcion wide receiver Texas A ⁓ going to Pittsburgh at 21 I know there's some of the concerns with some of the drops that he had laid the season and what he had kind of going on But I think him DK Metcalfe Michael Pittman jr Pittsburgh is still unsure if Aaron Rodgers is coming back for another season. They're acting like he's going to sign for one more year and come back. It's crazy. still haven't said anything. Pittsburgh is like, we haven't heard anything from him, but that would be another trio. Like there's some of these receivers that are going to come in and add to these wide receiver rooms. And it's like, all right, Michael Pittman, know, decent receiver, DK Metcalf can be great when he stays on the field. And then you add someone like Casey Concepcion, a very explosive playmaker coming out of Texas A ⁓ The only thing was the drops, but I think that's something that, you know. Yeah, that can be fixed. Jamar Chase had a problem with drops when he first got into the league. Cause he's like the football doesn't have the white stripe on it anymore. Yeah. It's hard to see. Yeah. I conception would be a really good addition to that really good compliment to that, that duo. They're two big outside receivers. I don't know. got some speed to them, but this guy is shifty as hell. receiving game as well as the returning games. The other two that I had highlighted here were farther down in the first round. So at 30, they had Miami taking Kendrick Falk edge out of Auburn. I like this guy. I once again, it's like, I'll see like a couple of games in college and I'm like, that's what that guy is. I didn't watch every Auburn game, but he is, you know, a very good edge player. saw him single-handedly help Auburn take down Baylor. Wait, did they beat Baylor? I'm pretty sure they did. It was actually the first game of the season that Auburn took down Baylor 38 to 24. But I saw them single handedly take over that game and absolutely turn it over. And then I saw New England, Cassius Howe, edge out of Texas A ⁓ also a very good edge. I think both those edges going that late in the draft just to make those teams that much better. Miami, questions about them? They just lost 2A. They didn't really leave 2A, but they got rid of them. So it's like. Do they want to take a shot on a quarterback? You know, do they have the guide? They're kind of just in a rebuild. just want Jaylen Waddle. Yeah. Jaylen Waddle. Which is why they have the 30th pick. Yeah. And then New England, you add Cassius Howe to their defense, especially with, if they're going to get AJ Brown, like everything that they're putting on, they were just in the Superbowl. It's just going to make them elevate that team even, even more. And it just, like, I kind of keep it with Mark Draft and stuff. There's been a lot of people, fanbases complaining ⁓ when Kelsick Falk gets mocked to them, which is kind of wild. He's huge. He's like 6'6", like 280, something like that. ⁓ He's known more for his run stopping abilities, but he can also rush the passer. And for an edge rusher, or for an edge in general, you want them to be able to stop the run, to set the edge, stop the run. You can work on their, their pass rushing abilities as they go along, but it's easier to work on the pass rushing abilities rather than the, their, run stopping ability. Yeah. The And he already has, you know, probably the best, definitely the best run stopper edge in this draft. Yeah. And I think edge is one of those positions that's kind of deep in this draft. Um, another one that I saw here, uh, It was earlier in the draft is number nine. They have Kansas city taking Ruben Bain Jr. Who I said, that's a guy that can absolutely take over the game. He's got one of the most explosive jumps. Now there is talks about he's got short arms, short wingspan and whatever it is. He's actually got short arms, but a wide chest. So his wingspan isn't that short, but there has been, you know, a couple of people have looked back at tapes that, know, he kind of gets jammed up a little bit when he, you know, goes against someone that has a little bit longer of a wingspan than him. I did see a fun stat. Kansas City hasn't picked in the top 10 in nine years and now they got the ninth pick, but you know who they took nine years ago. Yes, I know who they took nine years ago, man. Yes, you do. Patrick Mahomes. So they have a great track record of picking in the top, especially if they need to, but they haven't had that opportunity because they just haven't been that bad lately. Sean Payton was going to trade up for Mahomes and he went one spot before. I've seen a couple of mocks with Kansas City going Jeremiah Love. I think that would be a great fit. Like I said, a team that's ready to make the move right now. wait, no, no, wait. ⁓ yeah. They just signed Kenneth Walker. before, scratch from the record, scratch from the record. Yeah. I mean, before they signed Kenneth Walker. I mean this. Which that would make sense. The mocks that I saw were before they signed Kenneth Walker. Honestly, there's a lot of lords. know obviously the Saints signed, ⁓ Trevor, Travis Etienne, the Chiefs obviously signed Kenneth Walker. So that's two teams that could have drafted Jeremiah Love. They're not going to, most likely not going to. So that leaves top seven could draft them. But if he falls, that means teams might trade up for him. Seattle at 32 just lost their guy coming off of the Super Bowl. Maybe they don't care about their picks. Maybe they trade up for an incredible playmaker. him up with. The Giants wouldn't because they had Kam Skatibu at 10. Yeah, but I don't think, I don't think having Kam Skatibu would deter you from. Yeah, from. Does he come off the ankle injury that he had? Plus that, think even if it was fully healthy without that injury, Jermelov is better. Yeah. And then there's Dallas at 12. They had that, could have that double, two headed rushing attack. Yeah, Dallas good as well. ⁓ was talks that Jerry was going to go try and get Jeremiah love. think it was skip Bayless or something was like worried that Jerry was going to do that. was like, that's a very Jerry move. Go trade up. Get your love. Who's your. So it's got you signed him. ⁓ he's on a one year deal and y'all just signed him to it. Extended. It's Devante Williams. Yeah. Even though with how good he was this year. It's not Jeremiah love. Yeah. He was just on a one year deal. Last year he was. Yeah. He'll extend them. Yeah. Three years, something. Yeah. There's been a, we got to, we have to get used to all the players that moved around a little bit. It's off season has been pretty wild. Um, as far as some of the other quarterback that people have been bringing up, Ty Simpson. So I saw, or I heard today that he did accept the NFL's invite to attend the draft. I saw there's only like 16 players that are going to be there. Yeah. So no one ever wants to be like in the Aaron Rodgers situation, like in 05, like where he just like was expected to go in the first round, sort of fall and fall and fall to finally green bay took him. ⁓ but it is like an interesting, like, and there has been some Ramblings that some teams going to trade up in the first round to go get him. Now who that is, I don't know who. I think, yeah, it could be the case. But I, I, cause I mean, it's only the first round the first day. So he's going to be sitting there. He's projected to be a second round quarterback, but now I guess there's rumblings that that could be just some chaos that we see on the first day. There's going to be, I think there's already been some, obviously some trades, some trade downs, whether they their pick away or they. I mean, there's been two teams, obviously like the, uh, the giants or the Bengals and the Dolphins are already trading their picks away. Uh, for the first round, but, I did see that Mendoza is not going to be there. Um, but that's just cause he wants to be with his family and his mom, especially. That's going to be, cause she doesn't, you know, travel that well with, you know, what's going on with her and stuff. So I absolutely respect that so much. Yeah. That's cool. I, I, I like it when the players are there, but like, I understand if they don't want to go to the draft, like, like I said, no one wants to be in that hot seat where you just sit in the room waiting to get drafted. And then like, there's a possibility that you don't like if you're for sure. first round pick and you have the opportunity to and you can like, yeah, go to the draft. like the tie Simpson one is going to make me like, I'm going be watching the first round ready just to be expecting that. Like I think it was a couple of years ago, whenever the Falcons traded up to get Michael Pinnix. Now he was like to go in the first round, but that was just like, no one saw that coming. Like there's going to be some move in this draft that no one's going to be like, really the team did that or they took that person. So just, just hit this and stuff there. Matt, do we have anything else on the draft? Any player that you're like, yeah, this is a player that you got to take later in the draft or something. Later in the draft? Yeah. How deep do you want to go with your draft? I saw Garrett Nussmeyer as the third quarterback on the board. He's rejected late day two, early day three guy. Let's pencil him in for the fifth round. I saw Diego Pavia is possibly going to be an undrafted free agent out of all the quarterbacks. I he could get drafted. I could see him like turning into like a Taysom Hill roll, I guess. Just based on what I see here, this says the best fit is the Baltimore Ravens. I'm not sure what that really means. It's just like the team they expected him to land with. I I know, but I'm not sure why they would, it would be- Running ability? mean, if Marjaxson gets hurt, they could have somebody that could, similar skill set. Don't think he has a similar skill set as the Marjaxson. Just running wise, but Taylor Green out of Arkansas, I'm interested to see. I know there's been talk of, I think it's like every year there's some super athletic quarterback that really has not thrown the ball well in college and they want to convert them to like a receiver tie it in or whatever. But this guy went to, ⁓ to John Gruden's quarterback camp and Gruden was like, stick a quarterback. Gruden told him to stay a quarterback? Yeah. was like, a quarterback. was saying like teams might want to switch your position. I saw Gruden was talking about a broad jump. He's like, how, how far did you jump? Yeah, did. mean, he's just athletic. there, man. That's impressive stuff there, Yeah, he's going to get drafted. I don't know where or how early, but like he's, I don't want to give him the, the taste some Hill label. here they have his best fit as Philadelphia Eagles. listen, take him on the six for the fifth. Jalen hurts. do you think? No, you can't get rid of hurts for them. I'm just saying. But they wouldn't even run the tush push with them. They would just like set them on a QB option out there. You could have both of them out there in the backfield. Now that would get interesting. Jalen hurts and Taylor Green. Yeah. Snap to one of them. One of them's getting over that. One of them's getting the first down. with that. All right, cool. Well, so that will be the NFL Draft Talk. Everyone, like I said, we will be watching it. Matt's gonna be, I think Matt's gonna be deep in the draft. I took off Thursday and Friday. He's fully locked in draft mode. Fully committed. Getting into some of NBA stuff going around, we're not really going go through all the games, but we kind of went through like a little bit like the upsets with the first round. very, I think the best teams is normally like the higher seed is going to win. Every game has been a legit 30 point blowout. Other than the, the Pistons losing to the Magic. That was about the biggest upset. The Spurs won by like 13. But as far as the, some of the other awards and stuff that we've been talking about. ⁓ so Luca was officially left off the MVP final candidates list. ⁓ now is only Victor Wimminyama, Shay Gildes and Nikolaj Jokic, which I think last podcast we gave our MVP award or MVP vote to Nikolaj Jokic. ⁓ but I just, I hate to see him left off the list. I'm guessing. I thought his, ⁓ emergency or special circumstances, it did go through. They just still continued to leave them off the list. So just wanted to shout that out. know a lot of people are like, yeah, sure. Okay. And now the question is going to start being raised of like, will Luca ever get any hardware before he retires? Like, is it going to be the biggest like what if in the NBA? It's only reason it's a one F is because the media just doesn't like him for some reason. Yeah. Getting left off. He's getting better and better each season. It just seems to not be enough but also like ⁓ crazy studs but he's the first player in the last 10 years to lead the league in scoring and not be a Finalist for MVP. ⁓ okay. So I saw I think the other one was Russell Westbrook. Yeah, he was left off. mean Like it was like 2015 or so this before his triple double season. I'm sure he would value points scored for your team, figured that's kind of valuable. I you need points to win the game. Yeah. I think what hurts him. And I was thinking, I was thinking about this. was like, what really hurts him? It's like, you know, you got Austin Reed, you LeBron. is like, there's the other superstars, then like I saw today, I saw today people were talking about Jamal Murray being like the best Robin in the league. it's like, Yoakie's the Just made an all-star team and just going to make it at least, it's going to be on the, the, The third all NBA team this year. And Shay has Chet. And Jayden. Yeah, Wimbenyama, he's gotten a lot of help lately. Like. Caswell, he's got Kellen Johnson who might win six men a year. Yeah. So it's like all these other guys have helped. So I don't really know what the knock is on Luca. We just probably sound like a broken record at this point of like. But dude, somebody has to. Somebody has to. Yeah. We're sounding the alarm. Somebody's got to stick out for him, dude. mean. I got him on the podcast. Yeah. Lou Luca, you got the birdie pot MVP, even though we gave it to Yokeage last, but we didn't, we didn't know you were going to be eligible. So we, changed it, but now you're eligible. think you should be the MVP. If Luca has a million fans, one of them. If Luca has one fan, I'm, I'm that fan. If Luca has no fans, I'm dead. No, he's always got two here. ⁓ and some other hardware, Victor women, Yama becomes the first unanimous defensive. player of the year. ⁓ I would have definitely thought someone else was going to be, could have been the unanimous back in the day, I guess not. ⁓ I guess he's the first since the word was created in 1982 to 1983 season. So that's the NBA talk. Unanimous is still insane. This won't be his last unanimous DPY as well. And, ⁓ I know last podcast I was talking about, were going to do an NHL playoffs, you know, kind of what's going on. I think we're going to save that for next week. We're to let the first round kind of work its way through and then kind of bring it up. So expect that next week. I know with the NFL draft, we just wanted to get through that and then we can do NHL next week. Also just like with some of the first round teams just we don't know a lot about. we just wait till we through. Yeah. We're actually going to try and find an expert to come on next week to let us know a little bit about the NHL. Once again, I really just keep up with like my team, the Stars and then which speaking of which They got blown out in game one. They're playing again tonight. Hopefully it goes a lot better. I should probably play the game is just about to start. So yeah, they play in actually they start in two minutes. So hopefully that doesn't come back to buy me. Hopefully they win game two, but Matt, let's get to our final segment here. You have a keep three cut five. do. All right. It might not be for everybody, but it's for golf fans. All right. Might be lot of started off with golf and now we're gonna end with golf keep three cut five top golf courses you would want to play personally as you get one as Braden. All right I'm first one Augusta National keeping that off the national off the bat off the bat you got I was I was actually worried you were gonna put that later in the list because I was hope I was gonna save save myself and you're gonna keep it either way. Yeah next one is TPC. Sawgrass. I'm starting off with heavy hitters. A couple of heavy hitters off of that. I probably should say what my score would be and I won't do that. It's going to be a lot. No. 100. I think I could break a hundred. Where? Maybe not from like the tips, but I could a hundred. Not from either of those courses. No, from the member of T's at Augusta. I think I could break a hundred. Okay, buddy. Put that on the card. Put that on the card. ⁓ I'm going to say... Gonna come back to this in five years from where they're... Keep three, cut five. Mm, I've already kept one. That Island Green is really calling my name here. 17, man. Yeah. That'd be the one reason I keep it. But keep two is crazy. I'm gonna cut it. You're cutting sawgrass. I'm gonna cut sawgrass. Next one is Cypress Point. I don't even know Cypress Point. What tournament's there? I don't know, but that is the number one ranked golf course in the world. I'm going to cut it. It's in California. Number four, St. Andrews. I would probably, that's a very, that's like where the birthplace of golf was. I got to keep that. Personally, I would keep it as well because. I'm going to keep that one. Even though it's little bit, it's a link style. It's going to be the big greens. I just. going to lose your A little different. Yeah. I might lose my ball. Well, some of the be harder to lose your ball. I would need a spotter and all like the thick, uh, the thick, uh, the tall grass that they have out there. Yeah. All right. Number five Oakmont. I'm going to really hard course, but prestigious. Yeah. I mean, cause that's the, that's the one with the church pew bunkers, right? Yeah. I'm going to cut that. That's a very, I don't know. I feel like with Augusta, I'm already kind of getting that type of course. Pebble Beach. know there's like three courses there, but the main one, I'm kind of, yeah, grouping them together. Pebble Beach would be fun right on the ocean. Also something different. There's also a real chance that we could ever eventually get to play that. Cause that's like open to the public. I'm going to say keep. That would be a fun course. So I've already kept my three. What number was that? Was that six? Was that five? It was five. Okay. So what courses did I leave out there? ⁓ I, I put Pinehurst one and two. agree. God I got rid of Pinehurst. I don't want the sand on either side of the fairways. ⁓ I guess that was, we only have one left. Okay. Which is Duck Creek. Okay. I'm glad I kept the ones I kept. Shout out to Duck Creek. Local, Corsier, Dallas. Shout out. I think it was ranked like the worst or one of the worst in North Texas. I, ⁓ I did want to bring up one thing that I forgot to mention when we were talking about golf earlier in the show. ⁓ Bryce and DeChambeau is apparently hated again by people. Did you see stuff that going on at Liv or whatever? They withdrew from the tournament Mexico City. be fair, like, dude, that course looked like ass. I didn't see, people were hating on him saying like, oh, he must've got rid of his PR team or something. I don't know how I feel, you know, and then like. I guess the showing at the masters, people are just like back out on master. People just love to bring people up just to tear them down. I would like to say I understand his pain. All right. Uh, everyone saw him trying to battle for his life out of the bunkers at Augusta national. played two rounds this weekend. I also was battling for my life out of the bunkers. I need to go do some sand work because it was taking me three shots each time to get out of the bunkers. Um, so I just try to afford them the best I could. Yeah. Yeah. I, I triple bogey to par three because of it. And then I double bogey to par five and it was the two times I was in the bunkers. Maybe he should, ⁓ keep his wedges the standard size. Well, maybe me and him need to go practice. Bryson, I'm to go practice with you. We both need some bunker work. Yeah. It's catching the pod. Mr. DeChambeau. Yeah.
