- 0:27Hey everybody, good morning from the chicken poop.
- 0:31Today we are talking about satiating your mind and healthy
- 0:34thoughts. And I'm going to link this back
- 0:36to yesterday because yesterday we talked about, you know,
- 0:39labels and how we use our labels.
- 0:41So now we're going to go back and say, well, are my labels
- 0:44something that I can say are healthy?
- 0:46Are they healthy labels or are they disempowering?
- 0:49Are they giving me a path to satiate my mind in thoughts of
- 0:54dread or thoughts of despair or thoughts of anxiety?
- 0:58Because you know that all takes place with whatever thoughts we
- 1:01have. We truly don't have a clue about
- 1:04what's going on back there and what type of thoughts we have
- 1:08until we really start looking at them.
- 1:10And are we satiating our mind and the good powerful thoughts
- 1:13or are we satiating our mind in disempowering thoughts?
- 1:17So today I wanted you to really focus on satiating your mind.
- 1:23What does that actually mean? Well, it's when you think about
- 1:26it, it's taking floods massive amounts.
- 1:30So when something is satiated, it is saturated.
- 1:32It is beyond taking anything else in.
- 1:35And that's the intent of these positive thoughts.
- 1:38Like how do I put so many positive thoughts together that
- 1:42my brain is just flooded with goodness?
- 1:45Now, there are many tricks to this and you know, obviously we
- 1:50don't think about this kind of stuff regularly until we kind of
- 1:54dig in. But have you ever watched a
- 1:57scary movie and you spent 2 1/2 hours watching a scary movie and
- 2:01then you can't sleep that night? I don't know about you, but me
- 2:04that's I'm all about that. I cannot watch scary movies at
- 2:07night. In fact, I mostly can't watch
- 2:09scary movies because my brain will just keep looping on them.
- 2:12Or we watch a disturbing movie, or we watch something that gets
- 2:16into our head and we wonder, why did this have such an impact on
- 2:20me? Why was this effect so large?
- 2:22Well, and you know, when we really dig in, we sat for 2 1/2
- 2:27hours and we watched something that was intense and it was so
- 2:32intense, we satiated our mind in it.
- 2:35We were completely consumed by it and it took us over.
- 2:39And then voila, we have the reality of dealing with this
- 2:43issue that it's now in our head. We can't get it out.
- 2:46It's like having a song. Does anybody remember out there
- 2:49the Vengabus, that awful song from years ago?
- 2:53And it would get in your head and you couldn't not hear it.
- 2:56And as soon as somebody, you know, even says it, you're like,
- 2:58Oh no, not the song. Or you know, Baby Shark, that
- 3:02song. Oh my God, everybody could not
- 3:04get that song out of their head. And you just kept hearing it
- 3:07over and over. Well, you're satiating it in
- 3:09something you don't want or something silly, but that's what
- 3:12it feels like to be satiated, created.
- 3:14You can't get it out. It's like it's, you're just
- 3:16drowning in the thoughts. But here's the tricky part.
- 3:20This works for positive and negative things.
- 3:22This works for lots of different things.
- 3:24And one of the scariest parts of all of this is that we have the
- 3:28ability to do this with our emotions and our negative
- 3:32thoughts and we don't even realize it.
- 3:34So it's just happening behind the scenes, happening,
- 3:36happening, happening, happening. And we are satiating ourselves
- 3:39in thoughts of anxiety or thoughts of dread or thoughts of
- 3:42future pace, people worrying about, you know, what's next,
- 3:47what's going to happen. We're all off out there and
- 3:50we're just drowning in it. But we don't recognize it
- 3:54because it's not something that we consciously choose.
- 3:58It's just patterns. You've heard me mention this
- 4:00before. So how do you stop it?
- 4:02How do you essentially stop it? Well, the very first trick that
- 4:08is so important is to one recognize that it's happening.
- 4:11And then you can say, okay, I'd like to choose better thoughts,
- 4:14but you have to do extremes when you want to do this kind of
- 4:18stuff. You have to take it to the
- 4:19satiation level. So you have to put on like
- 4:24something that maybe it's a like a soundtrack.
- 4:27You create a soundtrack if you want to do it with music.
- 4:29And every single song is like upbeat and powerful and you just
- 4:33keep listening. You know, you got 50 songs in
- 4:36your soundtrack. And every day you just have your
- 4:38soundtrack of happiness, your soundtrack of being productive.
- 4:42And you put that on in the morning and you satiate it or
- 4:45you say, OK, I'm going to read intently for this amount of
- 4:50time. And it can't just be like the
- 4:52five minute blips, like what I do is to interrupt your
- 4:54patterns, give you thoughts. But this, I'm talking about
- 4:57something different here. I'm talking about really
- 4:59satiating yourself. So usually you need to do this
- 5:02for like 2530 minutes is a good amount of time to say, I did
- 5:08that emotional wipeout of satiation, flooding, pouring it
- 5:12in. And then you'll start to see
- 5:14something great come out of it. Now you can do this with
- 5:18meditation, you can do this with mindfulness, you can walk with
- 5:21intention, you can do all these things, but you've got to
- 5:24control the the flow of what's going in and the quality of
- 5:27what's going in. But you can start with that and
- 5:29see if you can Kick It Out. All right, my friends, I hope
- 5:32you have a blessed day and I'll see you tomorrow.
- 5:34Bye.
