- PAC'd 12: Welcome to another episode of Pac Twelve, your favorite podcast for all things Pac Twelve. I'm your host, Albanas, joined by my two favorite co-hosts in San Marcus, Texas, right now. Brett Beerman to my left, Caden Bessett to my right. Week two of college football just wrapped up. We're gonna try and get to some volleyball and soccer towards the end as well. But it's Sunday night, currently nine thirteenth, twenty twenty six, and NFL Sunday going on. But last night we saw a lot of college football, including Pac twelve action. And a lot of interesting games, so I mean we could just dive into it right now. We could start with the big upset predictions. It was San Diego State taking on UCLA in Los Angeles in pa in the Rose Bowl in UCLA took it down twenty eight ten, although it did take him a while. But thoughts on this game between the Bruins and the Aztecs? I was pretty ⁓ surprised actually with how long San Diego State kept in it. I think w in the third quarter, like they were within a touchdown, right? Still seven seven zero. So th I mean that's listen, I understand like the twenty eight ten, obviously, what can you do about that, right? And it obviously at the end of the day too, it's UCLA. So you're just gonna get outmatched in that way as long as it you just have to have a lead on ⁓ at that point. I think the problem with the offense was that they were not throwing the ball as much as they should have. I I really think they should have tried to stretch it down the field more. Well, actually no, I take it back. They did try to stretch it down the field, but that's the problem. When they did throw the ball, all they did was try to stretch it down the field. They did not let Jaden Dennegal get in a rhythm. ⁓ the color commentator said it best. I don't remember his name. But I mean, I didn't really watch it intently in the first half. I tune in in this in the second half and it's like twelve minutes, ten minutes in the third quarter, and Jaden Dinnegal has ten passing attempts and then he throws two on that drive to make it twelve. What are we doing? Like obviously if you haven't scored the running game's not working. Yes, I get it. You're trying to get Lucky Sutton going. He he's a very good back. Try to lean on him. You can't lean on him if they know that it's coming every time that you're playing. ⁓ it's just not gonna work. So what they try to do is they try to stretch down the field, but all it was was deep shots. Did not get him in rhythm, no no speed outs, ⁓ no shallow crosses, nothing simple. It was all deep shots, and it was just kind of desperation. He used the whole night for San Diego State. But I will say I am very proud and love what their defense did, because Nico He's a very good quarterback. We know this. And I I think the way that they shut him down through that first half and made him really earn all those points for UCLA is a very good sign. They definitely are up there with one of if not the best defense in the Pac twelve. But yeah, they've got to b have a better plan on offense. Lucky Sutton is not gonna win you twelve football games. He's not. And that's kind of been the story of the Aztecs last season. They still went up. I think they what about died games, if not eight what are the two, but It was their offense that couldn't get going. Their defense kept him in the games. And even though Sean Lewis is an offensive coach, he hasn't been able to find the breakthrough yet. And it continues to show two weeks into the season. Jada G Dennegal, the exact stat line, six for seventeen, forty five yards and a interception and a touchdown somehow. And three carries for negative six yards. I assume those were sacks. And then Lucky Sun trying to get him going. Nineteen carries, eighty one yards, about four yards of carry. So not flattering numbers for the Aztecs. Yeah, you're not gonna win you're not gonna win many to any football games with numbers like that, unfortunately. So offense gotta get in rhythm next week. What's who's on their schedule next week? We're getting close to getting out of ⁓ James Madison. So that's a game that I think they should win. James JMU obviously Billy Napier still or Billy Napier starting there this year again. They they they're having a good start there season two. I believe they're two and ⁓ one and one, but yeah, I believe they do. But James Madison is two and ⁓ So and they're always a consistent program anyway, so It's not gonna be easy, but that's a very e beatable opponent. ⁓ gosh, the Dukes are up next to move into power contention or like a place like the Pac twelve, I think. Honestly, I think I wouldn't be surprised. But their consistency? I think so. I think I think they're ACC bound. Yeah. ⁓ for sure. That'd be electric. That'd be cool. ⁓ man. Don't get me started on that. All right. Moving on to the next game. We're going over to Manhattan, Kansas. Kansas State and Washington State. This is my upset pick. It didn't quite go as played, but you know what? Hailberries don't usually go like that. Kansas State takes down Wazoo thirty four to seven. Another ugly game for the Cougars offense and yeah. I mean there's just nothing much to more say about that. Yeah. ⁓ if you want to give us the silver lining though, the ⁓ the lone touchdown, ⁓ pick six by Jalen Thomas, ⁓ he also had the second interception of the game too. So you got some guys on defense who are who are studs. ⁓ you just need to get that offense going. Again, same story, San Diego State. It's just defense is fine. Can probably hold up against a lot of the fine enough. Can hold up against some of the like at least for their level of competition, can hold up against these better teams. But Caden Pennick, man, I don't know what what the problem is, man. They just can't get the ball rolling with him. I mean, it's I'm not Two tough opponents, though. You're right. Yeah. Two tough opponents. He was sacked four times. ⁓ offensive line, I think, is the issue for Washington State because and and I only think that because Pennick hasn't really gotten a big chance to get going because of that offensive line and The running game has just not been that good for for Wazoo at all. I mean, they had 131 on the ground. 55 of those came from your quarterback. Right? That that's a problem. No, now they finally got more than they actually got someone to rush for over 20 yards. They didn't do that in week one. Kirby Voorhees had 45 on 11 carries. He averaged 4.1. Maxwell Woods, five for 31. He ran for 5.8 a carry. There's a little bit of bright side. Kansas State certainly did their thing though. I mean Rodney Fields Jr. thirteen for one ten and a tud. He has eight point one a carry. He ran all over the coups on Saturday. He had his way with that defense, which ⁓ thirty four points at Kansas State. I kinda like the way that they held Washington in week one a little bit better. ⁓ 'cause I'm not that high on Kansas State. But but but Washington will get to them later. Yeah, yeah, for sure. ⁓ But I I still like the Couggs and the chances they have this season. There there's multiple O and two teams in the Pac twelve that can very well still be more than bowl eligible, can very well make a very good bowl game and can still contend for the Pac twelve championship, right? It's really early in the season. You kinda just have to take it with the grain and be optimistic right now, especially with some of these tougher schedules for these schools. I think Washington State and Oregon State were off to really, really just unfortunate schedule starts. So ⁓ you don't give up on the coux just yet, but I d I gotta see more than seven points on the board. Yeah, no, I totally agree. I mean, the defense is a positive like you said in that Washington gave you just kinda throw it out the window. The only thing you can take away is that you made Avery Johnson throw two interceptions. I mean, that's still a big twelve quarterback, but other than that, I mean, he had over two hundred plus yards of total offense. Him alone, you factoring Rodney Fields is just not a good day at the office overall for the Cougs and that's how you start the season ⁓ and two. Granted, like y'all said. Tough competition and maybe things open up more on conference play. Like maybe a team that can't really with a pass rush, maybe K de Pennett starts to cook more, he has more time. Maybe that offense could go ahead but I mean at the moment Are they playing Utah State this year? Let's check on Maybe. I assumed every pack twelve team. Everybody's playing every yeah. So we'll see how that goes. But at the moment O and two not looking too hot at the moment for Wazoo. I'm actually gonna skip ahead later to the slate. I wanna get through this game first, just 'cause it was probably the biggest blowout on the schedule, Fresno State against Sack State, forty nine to three, newly appointed FBS manager, Sack State goes over to Fresno and doesn't have a great game at all. Fresno, I mean thirty two in the second. What a game. What a bounce back for the Bulldogs. What a bounce back, man. Jaden Mandal, night and day difference. Look, I understand you're comparing the defense of USC and Sack State. Tot totally understand. Two West Coast legends. As we all know, right? But Jade Mandal looked awesome. There was a I think it was a a wheel route that he hit ⁓ Brian Brian Don Bryson Donaldson on where it just he was just standing in the pocket so comfortably and just hit him on a dot. This game started late. I think it started at like ten o'clock kickoff. It was super late. I was fighting for my life when this game started. And I was like, let me just watch a little bit. And then I remember getting your text. 14 to nothing. That that was like a Red Bull right to the veins. It was awesome watching Fresno State do their thing. I am very happy with the Bulldogs. That's a win that you need to like kind of get the season going. Like I said, it it it couldn't have gone worse last week against USC. I guess like you could have left there with some injuries, whatever, but like you left people with a lot of doubt on your team, even against ⁓ like I said, USC, but this adds the assurance back in the Fresno State Bulldogs, I think. I think their sneaky still like a top team in the pack twelve. I just I I mean I like I said I know Sac State, but that's really all I got. I think it'll be ⁓ who are they playing next week? Let me see. San Jose State at ten PM so that's gonna be a great game because you have to give away. San Jose State's two and one. Ooh and we will get to the whole leaving a ranked opponent team with some injuries because I think we've got that lingering elsewhere. But ⁓ yeah, Fresno State, good showing. They did exactly what they should have done and needed to do, bouncing back from getting shut out in week one, not scoring a touchdown. ⁓ Jaden Mandal, I mean, he only had three incompletions. That's very impressive. Insane day at the office. Along of 73. So you already know the big plays were there all day. Bryson Donaldson, over a hundred yards on the ground, another forty five yard rusher, and Julius Gillick, if I believe I'm saying that right. And then when I go to the receiving, I see two hundred yard receivers in Josiah Freeman and Ezekiel Avitt. ⁓ That's really big news when you see a two hundred yard receivers. That means he's getting it to his guys, ⁓ looking right in front. I mean, first of all, Zeke Avid only had two catches for 103 yards. He had the 73 yard touchdown catch. ⁓ but I see Rashawn Luke and Jaleel McClain. I was about to mention Rashawn Luke. He's ⁓ he's the number two back. He was kind of the guy I previewed earlier where it's like the two headed back. He had he was he was the guy who caught that wheel route. So it wasn't Bryson Donson, so my butt. So what I'm seeing is I'm seeing three guys with five catches or more. That means that Jade Man all's doing the right thing and just sharing the love around his receiverslash running back. So that's a good sign to see defense did exactly what it needed to do. You don't want to see a Sack State just scoring twenty points on you their first year in FPS. So only holding a three, no touchdowns, good job. Shut out through the first half. ⁓ they gotta keep it rolling. I do think they have a lot of work to do though, to to compete with the Boise. I think they got work too. I think I think every team has a lot of work to do. Boise's kinda running away with it. At the moment, yeah, that's what it looks like. And we'll talk about Boise's game in a little bit. But yeah, Fresno State, what a bounce back game for them. We're gonna move over to one of the most shocking games that happened on Saturday. What we thought was gonna be a cakewalk for a ranked team, Washington taking on Utah State, and it was a sixteen of fourteen ugly dogfight in Husky Stadium. I mean, what a turnaround for Utah State? Kind of. I don't know how explain this one. ⁓ no. 'Cause it's the say it's the same stat line from from Grady Broserhouse as well. Like just two touchdowns, three interceptions, and that's something you can't rely on every single week. He did have eighty one rushing yards, so I mean I guess that helps in a way. I just don't know and I know we're not a a big ten podcast, so I won't stay long on them. I just don't know how good Washington is. I really just don't know how good they are. I think they just kind of fell into two weak opponents not and not saying Washington State's weak, but maybe Maybe early on they were a little weaker, like you just fell into two weak opponents to start off the year and I think they'll get exposed, but I I'm not gonna lie, I feel like they've struggled with two weak opponents. I feel they've already kind of been a little bit exposed. You're you're right. They they they won th is what I'm what I meant by that is they won. They did they did keep Washington State close and they obviously kept Utah State close. I just I don't think that's any indication on the Pac twelve teams. I think that's ⁓ yeah, for I think it just shows how Washington's just not gonna be a major And my point on that is Damon Williams twenty six for forty one. That that tells me everything I need to know right there. You're barely throwing fifty percent right there. ⁓ yeah, it's gotta be better if you want to go compete for a big ten title, but Grady Brosserhouse three interceptions, brother. What are we doing? We gotta take care of the football. That is a big, big thing to do. But then he also had ninety nine yards on the ground. ⁓ Utah State what were they doing when trying to run the ball? Because I see Javen Jacobs with six carries and no yards. And Sessi or Sasai, ⁓ man, that's a tough name. Vilahi? Vilahi, Vilahi, whatever, two carries for three yards. Negative three yards. Nope. Negative three yards. Yeah, both of those guys are in the negatives on mine. Nobody had five yards on the ground for Utah State. Did they just go throw mode all game? He only had twenty eight pass attempts, Bros. I imagine it was he had twenty-one attempts on the ground. That is ridiculous. That's a the Dumbest shit ever, Bronco in the hall. What are we doing? I imagine it was a lot of three and outs. I mean, I guess technically it might have it might have worked. They hung in there. I don't know. He had more rushing attempts. I don't know. I assume he got he only had three sacks. So you take those three away. He still had more rushing attempts than he did pass complete. Completed. And his longest was only 17 yards. So he was just getting him increments. But like, what the fuck are these yards? What the Fuck they doing over there? When I say when I say his yards, I'm not looking at the net, I'm looking at the gain. Yeah. That's what I'm looking at. It's just it's a absurd football that's going on in Logan and it's it's just embarrassing a little bit, man. It's like they don't have a quarterback. They don't have a running game either. What do they have? They're is your defense good or not? ⁓ And it's like e is Washington just that bad? Why did Washington only score sixteen points? Yeah, Washington is that bad and also I don't know. It's not like also can't run the ball either. Right. In Utah State's defense, I mean they didn't necessarily leave much to be desired either. I mean, they only had two sacks on the day, so it's like it's not like they were lighting it up either. Did Washington just have like the worst kicker ever and they just missed a bunch of field goals? It just doesn't matter. No, Tyler Robles made three former Tex State kicking. Tyler Robles. Wow, what a name. He could have used him this weekend. He did miss one. It doesn't matter. We could've used him this weekend. Yeah. Let's go ahead and talk about Texas State kicking. I mean, I mean, yeah, that's our next game on the slate. Texas State UTSA I thirty five rivalry in San Marcus, Texas. UTSA and the American get another dub over the pack twelve. They take it down thirty one twenty six, outscoring the Texas State Bobcats twenty four to nine in the second half. I mean, what can't we say about this game? Caden only you go first, man. You s you were pretty passionate about it to start. So ⁓ feed off you, man. ⁓ yeah. All right, I'll start with the positive 'cause I like to start on a good note for at least my school. ⁓ Torrance Burgess Jr. It looks like we've decided who the running backs are gonna be. Only two running backs got a carry, Torrance Burgess, Davy, and Jackson. So Jalen Jenkins, not even a carry. He's in the return game mostly. Yeah. I I can't even remember the other guys to be honest with you. ⁓ but Burgess, 149 yards. ⁓ I looked at his career numbers. I think that's his most ⁓ single game high ⁓ over his collegiate career. So congrats to him. Davy and Jackson, ninety nine yards. He looks really good. He's the biggest back in the room. He's the only guy over five nine. He's six one. ⁓ I believe he's just under two hundred. He looks like it, if anything. He he's a bowling ball. Yeah, but he's a bowling ball. Even Burgess. Burgess is like five eight, one seventy five. He's bouncing off everybody. Burgess looks really good. ⁓ Davian Jackson, though, ninety nine yards. That looks like the one two punch. They've got some power with Jackson and Burgess just really shifty, bounces off tackles. He looks good. He he got a lot of like he he sorry to keep to interrupt you. He he was a big recipient of the yak yards this this one. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. ⁓ and then, you know, I'm like, ⁓ running back room actually gives me a lot of hope after last week it really did it. I look at the receivers. Well, I I don't see Bo Sparks. What happened? Well, he's hurt. He didn't play yesterday, or on Saturday that is. So I I think that contributes to Texas State losing this game. Bo Sparks, obviously one of the best receivers in the Pac twelve. ⁓ I it's not even biased speaking. He's proved it last year and I think he certainly would have in the country. In the country. Respectful. People are saying that, so it's not any bias there. And I think he would approved that on Saturday, but he didn't get the chance. I believe it has something to do with the hamstring. There's no confirmation on that. ⁓ Yeah, we didn't hear a peep about it before or after. Yeah, i I don't even really know what what's heard on him now. It was Kev. It was his Cafo Kev. When Hour Get Bent podcast on YouTube. Kev, ⁓ I don't know how to say his last name correctly. That's what I was gonna say. All right, sweet. ⁓ they think it's hamstring, but no confirmation from what I read from him on hamstring. ⁓ That's that's my example of guys possibly getting hurt against a really good ranked opponent and it affecting the team the next week. And then it also affects Brad Jackson because what the hell was he doing? He looks like he was hurt and banged up from DKR last Saturday. Seventeen for thirty. Just over fifty percent. Not bad. Hundred ninety two yards. He could have more than that, but he know he had no bow sparks. One touchdown, yeah, but we ran the ball well. Two interceptions. What the hell are we doing, Brad? ⁓ he threw one right ⁓ deep slant. You could maybe even call it a shallow post route. ⁓ he threw it right to the UTSA D B and then interception number two. Actually not his fault. Bounced right off the hands of Kylan Evans and into a defender. ⁓ that was just a bad game offensively for Tech State. Out of rhythm, GJ Kenny didn't look like or maybe Landon Keppel, I should say, didn't look like they knew what they were doing when it came to calling plays. Nobody got into a rhythm at all. Brad was missing his targets long and short. ⁓ left and right. He he couldn't hit the fairway of a golf course with the football if he tried on Saturday. That's what it looked like. ⁓ yeah, and then, you know, the kicking problems as well. Dylan Kuhnanan missed ⁓ his first attempt and then did he got pulled for the third string kicker Bonilla. Bonilla, yeah. Bonia was nails. He didn't miss anything. Then he got hurt. Then he got hurt. They bring back Kuananin again for whatever reason. He missed twice. Coonanan the kicker for Tech State The junior has missed four kicks in two weeks, two in each game. And one of ⁓ was an extra point. Yeah. And a lot of ⁓ were shorter than extra points. Yeah. So and this was af he missed he missed an extra point. He missed the field goal and an extra point yesterday. He mi he missed the extra point immediately after what w what do we say the third string kicker's name was? Bonilla. After Bonilla had been like absolute nails. Like you he hit that fifty one yarder and I think he had a few extra pointer or a few extra points. But we didn't know he was hurt until after. Until after and then I I forget their names, I'm sorry. ⁓ the with the forty one the kicker for Tech State. Q Nanan. Qannan, thank you. Not gonna not gonna need Yeah, not gonna need to remember his name very long, but No, he's about to be putting fries in my Peter's bag next Tol Toledo scammed us. They did, man. I I don't know why we're getting kickers from the Mac, but whatever, man. Well 'cause you 'cause he hit seventy percent, but for some reason in San Marcus, he can't hit twenty yarders. Or in Austin either. Some in the air, man. I don't know. I I don't know. I just think he I don't know. It's the sa he misses the same way. He always hooks it left. Reminds me of Dan Bailey what four years ago in Tampa Bay and the wild cards. Exactly what that reminds me of. ⁓ but aside from the kicking and offensive woes for Tex State this weekend, I I say the defense still sucks no matter what Will Windham's doing as a new DC. Defense sucks. They're not tackling Jack Squat. They're gonna have to fix it. But they're not it does not look good in Sam Marcus. There's a few 0 and 2 teams and I say Tech State is just right there with Utah State right now. Until they prove me otherwise. I wanna ⁓ sorry, go ahead. Go ahead. The thing about it is even with Will Wendham and I appreciate the stuff he's doing, I think a lot of the stuff he's doing is also not helping the defense because there's just so many times. Okay. Owen Count had two hundred and fourteen passing yards. He didn't kill you. He threw 42 times, but he did not kill you on the passing game. He only threw he he had a reverse. Pass that killed you, 44 yard bomb to start the second half. Yeah, they threw a trick player. But Owen McCow did not kill you. But what you did let him do, you let him get in a rhythm and you let him dink and duck on you all game. And that's how they won the game. And in that last drive, too, man. He's The whole movement last drive was nothing impressive. The impressive thing he did was that fourth down run to get the first. I'll give him that. Hell of a play, Owen. You let him dink and duck. Why? Because our DBs are in a zone and they're played six yards off. Why are we played six yards off? I get keeping him in front of them. Are you that worried that you're gonna let up a big play? You're not going for a big play. They haven't gone for a big play, but that's also the problem besides the trick play. But that's also the problem too, is they I believe on one of those plays in that last drive, they hit a dink and dunk and like one of those one of their receivers like broke free for like a good like ten seconds. And like that also goes back to tackling, but I'm just still more just mind boggled that you just let them drive down. They did the same thing the whole fucking drive. It was a slant or a fucking hook. Or a screen. Yeah. It's not you know what they're gonna run. Why are we playing off the ball? Texas State had a lot more rushing yards, slightly less passing yards, controlled the time of possession, had ⁓ close to 100 more yards than UTSA throughout the whole game. They won the penalty and mistake game. And then I scroll down, I'm looking at the stats, and I see third and fourth down. UTSA went three to fifteen on third downs. Texas State went nine to seventeen. Both kind of meh. UTSA is awful. Then I see fourth downs. UTSA was five of six on fourth downs. Tech State was ⁓ for one. There was a fourth and one or two that they didn't go for late in the game. That is very unusual of Kenny not to do. Because he overthinks shit as well. A lot. You can tell he's a what? Thirty eight year old head coach. Like you can see it. I have a question. ⁓ I kind of teased it a little bit on Twitter. I'll go ahead and answer it for you. I said I I said do we do we ask the hard questions? And I think is like and I'm not saying Yeah, let's go ahead and ask him, but like, is that now crossing the mind of the people who make decisions? If I remember correctly, Kenny's contracted through twenty thirty one at Texas State. I could be wrong, but it's definitely multiple years from now. Okay. I don't think he's ever shown us that he can lead Texas State to a conference championship. And I think the conference only got harder, so no. I'm I It's time to ask hard questions. Yeah, and I think they're warranted as well because yeah, seven new deal twenty thirty one. Signed in twenty twenty four. Because we do blame these coordinators a lot. Like we blame Dexter McCoy last year. Will Will Windham's now getting the seat. Why isn't GJ Kinney be catching catching anything? I also wanted to talk about this because we know, okay. We know Kitty calls plays. He doesn't call up right now, but he we know he has a pass of calling plays. He called up like a couple of times in the past. He got in his OC that he he always talks about how much he loves his coordinators. He loves his guys. This is your guys. I heard odd the broadcast. He doesn't call plays, but sometimes when he needs to, he advises. What when is that? Because sometimes because sometimes there's some real like Caden said, a fourth and one. You Kenny, you're usually the aggressor. Were you thinking, hey, maybe let's go? Did you not advise him? Or was your advice let's not go for it? Either way, I don't like the decision that happened regardless. So if you have the power to influence a big Taiwan like that, and you're still doing this in what, year three? And you're four, right? Four? Year four? And you haven't showed any improvement besides You're just in the same mid bowl game, unfortunately. I hate to say it. They're big for the program in general, but at the end of the day, ten years from now, no one's gonna care if you played in the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl. Yeah. They're more of a laughing stock than Utah State to me right now because Utah State at least hung in there with a ranked team. I don't care what they're ranked or how bad they may end up being. I I wanna Texas State sucks right now. I wanna say to put a bow on it, because we we spent a lot of time at Texas State. U TSA give them their flowers, that's a really good football player. I think they're gonna I think they're pretty good, man. I I think those running those two you don't think so, man? I don't think so. Damn, I thought we'd all agree here. No, I mean that they're a middle of the pack American team and the American is top heavy. The thing about it's how I feel about it. The thing that I was really worried about coming into this game was a rushing game. Yes, do they have a total of one forty? Yeah. It mainly came off that long run towards the end, just a burst of a run. The running game really didn't do much considering they put up almost two hundred and they're known to run the ball. And their passing game didn't move me either. I was thoroughly unimpressed with UTSA. I was just more unimpressed with Texas State. I think these are teams that are probably at best on pace to win six games. Maybe UTSA gets a couple more 'cause they get a game like this that Texas State needed to win. And credit to them. I will give credit to them because they did win this game. But I don't think either of these teams v really much impressed me yesterday. I'll be honest with you. We spent this time on this game because we were all There or working it. So that's true. I don't know. See, we've got the eyes to let you know what's very true, yeah. Because I think if you're an Oregon State or Washington State fan, you're maybe wondering, like, what was all this hype about Texas State? 'Cause they haven't done anything this year. They've looked terrible. We have eyes on the inside, literally. That's what we can tell you. It I wouldn't be excited about Texas State this year. I think they finish bottom three in the Pac twelve very easily right now. They they certainly this is why I told you, Brett. I I said, look, the thing is for all these schools is conference play hasn't started. So Oregon State, Washingt, Utah State, Texas State, half the conference, damn it. They they all have the fact that they could still win a conference title right in front of ⁓ But listen. College football playoff though, you go ahead and kiss your hopes b goodbye if you're owing two right now. And we'll we'll get to it in the picks. Best case scenario, they're gonna go one and three well ⁓ they could go two and two. They're gonna go one and three going in the conference play. And then and then with I think they play who do they play first? First, San Diego State. San Diego State, that's it. In the Mesa. Yeah, let me let me go ahead and just pull up the schedule. So North Texas, I'll just go ahead and spoil it now. I think that's a loss. Incarnate Word, that's a that's a win they should get. Hopefully. San Diego State lost. Colorado State right now lost. So that's one and five. Utah State win, two and five. Boise State lost, two and six. Oregon State lost two and seven. Fresno State lost two and eight. You can maybe pull off a win against Washington State. Maybe I think the only team they can beat right now is Utah State. I I Yes. The pass rush I saw yesterday. I think Ketap Kate Peddock fries us. Yeah. Did you guess that much time in the pocket? Yeah. All right, next game. Next game. Yeah, I'm sorry. Sorry guys. We're yeah. Yeah. Let's obviously we're very heated. This shit means something to all right. Let's talk about a packed team twelve team that won last night and improves to two and ⁓ Give it Jimmy. Colorado State taking on southern Utah. The Rams dropped four fifty eight on U Southern Utah's heads twenty four. I mean, they scored a majority of it in just the first half alone. The Rams are looking hot. Toss Haney is so good, man. Mel Brown, a great game for the Hans Haney. My apologies. I don't want to say it wrong. But he all but he also had 85 yards on the ground, too. He's a demon. Yeah, but Mel Brown, obviously, man. 170 yards, two touchdowns. Got to give it to him on only nine attempts, too. And this again, this this receiving rim, RJ Vick didn't have that much of an impact this week, but you had other guys in there as well. And their defense, maybe like once they get into like a little bit more tougher opponents, but I have no doubt about that also. Yeah, because their defense did allow Southern Utah to run, put up two hundred yards on the ground. Yeah. Including shout out Floyd Chalk. You might be in for a D one move, seventeen attempts, one hundred forty four yards and two touchdowns. He's a senior, unfortunately. ⁓ that's unfortunate. Maybe he can, you know, everyone hits a waiver now. Hit the court, you Connor Wigman's in like eighth year. Twenty twenty one of those points came in the first half too. ⁓ but man, how about what Jim Moore Junior's doing? ⁓ Colorado State is a team that was bottom two in the Pac twelve, I believe. Maybe bottom three. There's definitely down there. They're top three right now to me. They they're above a Fresno State to me right now. I think so. It's Boise, San Diego State, and Colorado State. ⁓ I think Fresno Edge is out San Diego State right now. Yeah. Just right now. Yeah. I put But I would put Colorado State in there, but probably at two. Haas Haney total touchdowns on the season. He's at ten in two games. This brother is balling. Balling. 325 yards in the air, 95 on the ground and five attempts. Long of 75. So it's obviously inflated there. But still, I mean, what a dog. Mel Brown, holy fast. Mel Brown's like one of the fastest dudes in the Pac-12. 9171 and two Tuds. What? What? And then you know, I gotta go back to last week and give my shout out where credit is due. Cedric Ross, true freshman out of Lubbock Essicado. He had the first touchdown of the game this week and he did in week one. He has two catches for eighty seven yards and a touchdown. It was a sixty eight yard jet pass from the left to the right, all the way to the crib in the first minute of the game. He only got three touches all game. But when I see Mel Brown and Cedric Ross next to each other in the backfield, I shit my pants. Wow. That's what I would do if I was the opposing defense 'cause those are two of the fastest dudes in the Pac twelve and then they're they could both be in the same backfield at the same time. ⁓ Defense, I'm not gonna worry about it too much just 'cause their level of competition. ⁓ Wyoming's better than Southern Utah. They held in the thirteen. So yeah, I'm really high on the Rams right now though. Yeah, no, the Rams we talked about Boise. The Rams are probably like right there. Right now. They their offense looks better than Boise, may I say? More explosive, but yeah, yeah. Competition's totally different. That's true, that's true. That's true. That's true. That is very true. But yeah, it's definitely something that like gives you hope. Like when they do eventually match up, I gotta see here. Let me see if they obviously you said they do. ⁓ 11 they play November seventh at Colorado State. So that's a that's a gonna be a game of that. That's gonna be good game to have at your home. Yeah. That's for sure. Yeah, you definitely don't want to go go into Boise. That is true. I guess certainly not. And then Yeah. Just ask Memphis how that went. Boise State gets a dub, their first dub of the season. They take down Memphis 38 to 20, and what was a highly appeal. Anticipated gabe was the game of the week on the pack twelve. Dave Gatter and Ryan Lee for on the call for that one. And it was a it was a barn burner up until the second half where Boise ran away with it twenty one unanswered and held the Tigers to zero in the second half, but Boise gets a well deserved win and what a win it was against a hard opponent. They just took that next step, man, and I think right now they've kind of s locked their spot. It's theirs to lose, ⁓ the college football group of six playoff spot. I don't Yeah. Hard to disagree with that. Yeah, I I just and listen, this is not not like a diss on any of the other group of six schools. Obviously, like there's some really good teams in there and it could come down to the bitter end. But as of right now, man, it's hard to not watch these Boise State Broncos and think, wow, like they could make some noise. Shout out the fortieth anniversary for Boise State too. Those helmets were tough. They were really sick. Holy smokes, how did I forget Colorado State with the orange Ag Day unis? That's right. Love ⁓ Love the Aggies on the back. Those are really sick. Wanna shout those out because you know we're we're uniform buffs on here too. I love dude. Yeah. ⁓ Memphis Marcus Stokes had three hundred and eighty four yards in the air. That's the only thing I'm like, whoo He was really efficient. They've given up probably I would imagine without even looking, top twenty in the nation and receiving yards, give passing yards given up is Boise. Yeah. Right now. I'm just saying. But I mean, Dylan Riley two hundred and six yards on the ground. ⁓ laughing all the way to the bank, which was actually the end zone, but then again he didn't touch it, but still ⁓ he set them up really good and then Akeem Wright finally showed up. He did a great job, four for eighty four and a tud. And yeah, they're still the team to beat. ⁓ it you know, we try to act like we were we knew ball, but Boise is Boise at the end of the day and you know what? That's fine. Fairs. Sire gains as well, man. Ninety three yards as well and seventeen carries. He had the lone or he had one of the three rushing touchdowns. I want to say also who had a rushing touchdown, the freshman receiver, Rashawn Jones. He got a couple handoffs. Wait, who had the punt return? ⁓ damn it I just I just closed the box score. It was a first Cam Bates. That was electric and at that point I knew that it was over. Yeah. Shout out Cam Bates too. I was about to say shout out Nate for that call. We were in the car, I think, for that, right? That was awesome. So yeah, Boise takes it down. This was a we talked about in the landscape the how this could shape up for the playoff and you talk about Brad, this is probably the team that's gonna take that group of six playoff spot. But Memphis this is such a tough one for them to lose. What what a good representation, man, honestly. Like 'cause right now there's like a lot of really good American teams. ⁓ as far if you look up and down the rosters I or like down the league, I think the American right now is like hands and toes better than than the Pac twelve. But I mean Yeah. But Boise State's the best team out of all of them. And so that's where we gotta like stake our flag, boys. We gotta we gotta represent the Broncos. And another team that's probably in consideration for the college football playoff took on a Pac twelve team yesterday. Texas Tech ranked, I believe they're twelve thirteen. One off. Give him a little bit too much. Tw number thirteen in the land. Comments are gonna be pissed at you for that. Texas, I mean, they were in a barn burner with Oregon State. Thirty five twenty four. The Red Raiders get it done, but the Beavers, man, they're looking good. If they could have got it done on the ground rushing, man, I really think they could have won this game. They just they were and and not that this is a problem, but they were just leaning on Braden Atkinson too much. Obviously if you got a guy throwing fifty one times, like you're you're you're putting a lot on him. And we've seen that both weeks from them, and I think I I think that might be the identity for Jamarcus Shepard because of his history as receivers coach in like past game. offensive guy, you know, in his past as a coach. I think that's kind of where that's coming from. But yeah, they've definitely got to run the ball to have the success that they need. But man, it was a three-point game with like what less than 10 minutes left in the fourth? Really impressed. I previewed the Beavers and I was like ball eligible would be really great for this squad in year one of the Shepherd era. And at 0 2, I think it's very much still attainable. This is let me make sure I say this the way I want Yeah, I'm not leaving anybody out. It's the O and two team in the league. No, that's exactly what exactly what I had written down the notes. The best O and two team in college football. And it's just unfortunate for them that the schedule put them where they're at. But but also not really. Not really. Because like when you get down the line and like once if the record looks a little better, you're gonna be like, Wow, they really held it together against a a really good Houston team and probably the two best teams in the Big Twelve. Like if you look at it like Obviously tech is number one, but Kansas State's up there too. Kansas State's up there as well. The problem for them is that y you just can't really lose two more games for the rest of the season. Correct. You can barely lose one more game. T B H. Yeah. Yeah. But they they've looked really good offensively. ⁓ defensively I'm not even that mad about it. This game was zero zero for the longest time. Four sacks and six tackles for loss. They did really good. Yeah, yeah, it wasn't until the second quarter that anybody scored, but it felt like zero zero forever. That's true. And at one point the game was twenty one twenty one. And we talked about it right there. I mean, the defense did held up. They their thing. Will Hammond. I mean, he had a decent day of the offense. Didn't throw for two hundred. Got sacked four times as well. They were they really stuck struggled on the running game. It was yeah, it was a run defense and run offense for them. Yeah. They've got to find some identity in that, which is weird because most people in the Pac twelve, these teams are we're gonna run the ball and then we're gonna try try to play good defense. ⁓ And Oregon State like, no, we're gonna throw it deep down the field, deep crosses, all all that sort of stuff. And then we're also just gonna defend the pass pretty well. I think they've done a pretty good job of that, because Wegman didn't have a great great weekend in week one. And Will Hammond could have had a better one. And I could say the same thing for Will Hammond. He could've had a better week two. He was just efficient, but I don't think Tech did anything fancy. Yeah, they didn't. It was just the running game that really got them over the hump and we talk about the passing game. I mean, we gotta highlight Jesse Legree here. I mean, he was the one Him and Brain Atkinson, man, they're gonna terrorize the Pac twelve. Eight catches, two hundred forty yards, two touchdowns. Take a bow. Just take a bow, freshman. Jesse Legree, you're gonna get a really nice paycheck from some SEC. How about this season, man? Moment of silence for whatever D B is covering Jesse Legree next week. It's beautiful boys. Poor guy. It made me feel sentimental. I mean, it's just like you said it, there's probably the best 0 and 2 team in the league. And it's not that ridiculous to say. I you think of Texas State's O-2 and Oregon State's O and two, and it's just two very different feelings. Yeah. Yeah. I'm feeling good if I'm Oregon State right now, right? Like as a fan, I'm hyped. Like and as a Texas State fan, I don't even tell people I go here anymore. So like that's how things are going. And then I wanna see who they're playing next week 'cause I really want to see if they can get the first win. Montana. Montana. I mean And then UTEP so they could easily go two and two going into Colorado State for conference play. That that's gonna be ⁓ my God. That's gonna be game of the week Colorado State versus Oregon State. Haas Haney versus Brada Atkinson. Wait when's that date? Ten three? I'm gonna be at a baby shower no way you're gonna be at the baby baby showers are on Saturdays? I told him I said you better have a T V Priorities. I will say shout out to ⁓ Dylan Lane. ⁓ he's a Idaho transfer for Oregon State. I saw the clip of him talking to the Oregon State fan base. He said, Look, I appreciate y'all showing out and everything, but I don't like you clapping after we just lost to Texas Tech. We want y'all to expect us to come and win. That's the new standard with Jamarcus Shepherd. Love that. And I think the Beavers have shown us that they are gonna show up every Saturday ready to win because ⁓ I think they could very well be two and ⁓ and ranked right now. i it there's one thing just missing and I think it has to do with brand new head coach year one, brand new quarterback year one. And I agree. I I remember seeing that clip and that just fired me up and made me want to just absolutely run through a wall for Oregon State and not even go there. But like you said, having players with that mentality with the first year head coach that already expect a new standard in the first year, how can you not be excited to watch this team play for eleven more weeks at the minimum and hopefully they're able to turn it around, get some wins. This is a team, I mean if they figure it out the things they need to figure out, I could definitely see this team in the Pac-12 chip. Yeah, it's it's they have the offense. It's not ridiculous to say, man, because you could really like it it's obviously boisey, but then you could really just scramble any of like three teams and and then like you could be right about any of them, man. It's just it's I love how we've got a long way to go. Yeah. It's great, man. The parody is great. I this is why we college football, man. This is why we college football. So that about wraps it up for the week two recap. We're gonna throw it over To Brett for his play of the week, and then we're gonna do picks with a guest picker as well. But Brett, who is your Pac twelve player of the week? Football player, congratulations, freshman Jesse Legree from Oregon State. Eight receptions, two hundred forty yards, two touchdowns. We obviously just talked about him. He had an amazing weekend. And like I I know I know they're upset that they lost, obviously, but Jesse Legree has nothing to be upset about. He did everything he could. And he also is now the Pac twelve week how many times have we done this? Is it now the fifth one? This might be the fifth one. Or the fourth one. It is the one, two, three, fourth one. Fourth one. Fourth. The fourth honorary packed twelve player of the week. Congratulations. Is it the fifth? The fifth. Fourth or fifth? We'll figure it out in a minute. The first week was like unofficial, official. So Okay, so we'll just say three. We'll just say three. It's definitely the fourth. It's definitely the fourth. It is your It's Helen, the other chick, and then was Haas Haney. Now it's Jesse Leggett. Utah State Soccer, and I thought we did Gonzaga with Soccer. We didn't know. ⁓ wait, it was a It was Ellie Hendricks. So it was Emilian was the unofficial one, and then it was Ellie Hendrix, then it was Helen Alumenu, and then it was Haas Haney, and now it's Jesse League. So it is five. It is five. I'm keeping all this in. Technically. Either way, whatever the number is, Jesse LeGrie, very happy. It's gonna be fun to watch Oregon State this year. I have nothing else to say. All right. Go Beebs. Go Beebs. And now we're gonna get into the picks. For last week, I think we also All went six and two again. So records is I'm at twelve and four. Brett's at twelve and four. Kaden at twelve and four. Two weeks into the new season. Still in a deadlock. Also shout out to Aztec Republic, who also went six and two. That just seems to be the theme here. But let's see if things change up. Let's start from the top. North Texas, Texas State. This is it says ⁓ I guess it's Pacific time. That's right. So this game's at eleven AM at San Marcus. Who do we got here? Taking North Texas. Sorry. gonna pick the Bobcats anymore. I just I can't do it. Sorry, I just like Texas State is favored by three right now on ESPN. Is that free? It's free. Go ahead and bet North Texas. By the way. you know the thing is with this one is I want to pick North Texas because they put 44 up on UNLV and I've gone over two picking Texas State and I don't know if that means anything at all. We've all gone over I kind of scratched the first one to be fair. Yeah. I just wasn't gonna count. I wasn't gonna pick number one team of the nation now. So yeah. No, but a team that you should have very easily be yeah, I'm very upset in Texas. I'm out at Texas State and I think they need to you know, pull their head out their butts and figure it out right now in week three. ⁓ but I I am gonna pick ⁓ I 'cause I think on paper they're better than North Texas and ⁓ I got too much faith in who Brad Jackson really is because I've seen it. ⁓ Well, yeah, I I think this one can go either way. I'm not gonna be shocked if North Texas wins, but I can't pick against the Cats in a game against the American and when they should win. ⁓ I kinda feel like I agree with both points. I'm also like kinda one foot out the door for the cats. But I'm also like with Kate, I don't think I could really just pick against him quite yet. Even though I my brain says like U and L V. And I will say, go ahead, y'all. I'm gonna pull away then. I know I will say lot of my pick if it wasn't Sunday the day after the UTSA game and say it was Friday the day before the game and I knew what was going on with both sparks and if he was gonna play, that changes my pick entirely. I'm just gonna pray he's healthy and go with Texas State. Yeah, unfortunately, like I would love to say like, hey guys, like if if something like that's happens, let's give the ability to go back and make a change. I kinda like that we it's No, you just wanna be you just wanna back out now and have that chance to get away Free on the Texas State. Listen, I'm gonna take that because I think cause I even thought without both sparks that they I'm not gonna talk about anymore. I'm sorry. I go ahead. Give me Texas State. Here we go. All right. Utah State going into number seventeen. Utah Salt Lake City twelve ⁓ eleven thirty no two thirty. What do we got? Utah just beat the breaks off Arkansas forty three to ten. It's Arkansas. I understand. Yeah, you're right. You're but obviously it's Utah. The Utes. Yeah. Gotta specify. Think about it is this is a game where I could just see Utah State just beat it. Another close one for no reason. For no they're not gonna win. I'm taking Utah, but this is gonna be a stupid game already, though. All right. ⁓ going back to Texas State really quick. ⁓ our guest picker this week is TFC Colorado State. TFC C S U is there at on Twitter. That is Twitter Football Central is what that stands for. So Twitter Football Central, Colorado State. He's going with North Texas in week three and then he's also right on board with me and Brett going with Utah over Utah State. You're wait, are you picking Utah State? Did I miss that? No, I said no, I'd say I picked Utah. Okay. Okay. I because I I I I I was about to I was about to check check your head. I would say like this is gonna be a stupid game. Utah State could be close. I'm not picking though, but I'll pick it Utah. Sorry, I I misunderstood Caden, then that's my apologies. No, you're good. ⁓ Utah. And then so Wazoo against I could never pronounce this. Duke. Dukeed. I could never remember how to pronounce it. Dukeed. I think Washington State gets their first dub I hope so. Yep, I think so. I'll take that. Me and TFC Colorado State agree as well. Washington State would be one and two after this weekend. And here we go. BYU number eleven against CSU in Fort Collins. Who do we have here? This game is at six thirty. This is my upset pick. I'm gonna go Colorado State over BYU. I like that upset pick, but I I've got another one that I mine that I think I'm just gonna go with anyway. So not dang, I really wanna pick two upsets, but I worry about losing, you know. I worry about I'm interested what your other one is, but go I wanna have the best picks. I think it might be the next game. no, no, no, no. I wanna have the are we looking at the rank game? No we're not. Y'all are not. ⁓ I wanna have the best picks when it's said and done. So ⁓ as much as I hate BYU and Bear Brockmeyer and whatever the heck they got going on in Provo Utah. I I gotta go with BYU. they're they're very good. Deep they're very good. Yes. They're very deep. They play a very physical brand of football. ⁓ but you know, but don't let the Rams surprise you. They got speed and Haas Haney lights up that scoreboard. But I I'm going with BYU and ⁓ of course TFC Colorado State says ⁓ Colorado State's gonna win, but he also says not gonna happen, but I can't pick against my guys. Yeah, it would be it would be apropos to have like a guest picker in here who's actually trying to like win the world. Dude, that'd be that'd be Pac twelve Pac twelve Bar stool. All they do picks every week with all the Barstool accounts and every school picks their own school cool. You know what I It always goes out. Yeah, as you should. As you s unless you're Brad Beerman, you pick North Texas. No, then I'm going with North and I'll do it again. That's fair. But I am also on Brett's side with this one. Give me the Rams. I I'm not too high on BYU. Do I think they're good? Yes. But I definitely think Barry Bachmeyer is a quarterback that is still raw. I think he still could make mistakes. And that granted that Colorado State defense isn't anything crazy. But if it turns into a shootout, I could just see him overthrowing it, get picked off, making some turnovers they use don't usually make. And you give Haas Haiti an extra possession, I think they could easily light it up. And it's at and it's at home. With those receivers too. Come on. I think it being at home is the biggest factor. This game is also nationally televised on CBS. So I just think this game's gonna be crazy. Give me the ramps. This is my upset pick here. Let's go, man. And so next one on the slate for me starting at nine o'clock. San Diego State taking on James Madison. That is gonna be at the Mesa for the Aztecs. Who do we got here? This is a good old fashioned group of six head to head. I'll I'll s I will say two pretty evenly matched teams. The fact that JMU being in Virginia has to fly all the way to the West Coast to play a game in San Diego, the time zone kind of messes you up. I don't know when they're gonna get there. I will say the Aztecs. Wow. Yeah. I'll say the Aztecs. Yeah, it's my upset. I'm going JMU, I think. Sunbelt Billy. ⁓ they're two and ⁓ They really had a hard fought game against Liberty in week one. They won by seven. That's I know it's C USA, but it's a pretty good Couza team right there in Liberty. We've seen them make some noise before. ⁓ And they just put up eighty seven. I don't care if they played Wagner. They just put up eighty seven. That tells me something about the mentality of this Dukes team right here. ⁓ it's a school that's hosted colo college game day. I as much as I used to hate JMU, now I really have nothing against him. ⁓ I think the Dukes are the best group school that is just forgotten about. They're in the Sunbelt. Everybody in the Sunbelt gets forgotten about unless you have Teal Turf. This is true. So ⁓ I like the Dukes over San Diego State and that's because They haven't shown me they can throw the ball yet. Jaden Dinner has not gotten any help from the play calls. And ⁓ yeah, if they can't throw the ball, I don't think that Lucky Sutton's gonna be able to carry them to the win this time. Yeah, and I'm low-key right there with you. As much as I do want to pick the Aztecs for the upset, I just think if they could bottle up Lucky Sud like what happened kind of this last week, like I just carries for eighty yards, maybe he goes for even less against a JW team that's ready for him, because they can't pass the ball. Jaden Denigal, like Kay said, hasn't shown you the ability to kill you in the air. I think you really just got a game plan for the run game. And this San Diego State defense is good in its own right, but I just think JMU's gonna get too many chances to really score, and I think they just probably run away with it towards the end here. Give me the dukes. Alright. Wait, so you're going two upsets cause San Diego State's favored. Really? I think San Diego State's favorite. Okay, then I guess I am I guess I am going two upsets here. Yeah, you're ballsy dude. I'm gonna have to I just think James I low keep a lot of split begins. I didn't know that was a they were favored. Honestly I think that's free. I just I I can't I haven't watched a second of James Madison. I get they just put Me either, but I just I just trust Billy Napier in a spot like this. I mean they were they were in the playoff for a reason and I think that has less to do with Bob Chesney. L I think that has less to do with just the roster they had last year. They were good before Bobby also has more to do with that entire athletic program 'cause they always compete. Who's the Indian head coach? Kurt Signetti. Yeah, wait wait wait a minute. You said they were good before him. I said they're good. Kurt Signety. Yeah, I was saying the best head coach maybe of all time. But no, I'm just saying you said yeah, with Bob Chesney, I'm They were good before Bob Chesney. You're right, you're right. They've been a powerhouse. Maybe they're just good at piggy coaches. I think so, yeah. I think I'm leaving TFC Colorado State out 'cause I think I look he got sidetracked. But ⁓ he has Washington State over Dukeen and then he has San Diego State over James Madison. So that thing I'm caught up on his picks as well. Yeah, his ⁓ that is just because I felt bad I didn't shout out Aztec underscore Republic ⁓ as much, but ⁓ TFC C S U on X. Bang. Next up, Boise State is hosting South Dakota. That's also a nine PF game for the Broncos, I think. Give the blue. Yeah, I think they approved the two and one. Yeah. Not gonna spend too much on that one. If they lose, that'd be pretty bad. Oregon State, Montana, I think we kind of hit it at it earlier. I think the Bees get their first win of the season here. Yep. Give me the Beavs. Yep, give me the Beefs. And then the final game of the Slate. Fresno State, San Jose State. Bulldogs and Trojans in San Jose. Still in c in state game. How do we feel about this one? Former bound west. Are gonna disagree about this one too? I'm taking Fresno, obviously, but I'm curious as to what you guys are gonna say. Well, I don't know ⁓ the Oregon State game ⁓ versus Montana, TFC Colorado State has Oregon State, and then their upset of the week, San Jose State over Fresno State. Ooh. Yeah. Okay, so it's personal, I guess. It's personal. I I'm I'm having trouble because Fresno State Fresno State's on the road. San Jose State, I rebuilt them a little bit in college football twenty six, you know. ⁓ man. I am I have to pick Fresno because I imagine No you don't. No, I do go with your heart, dude. No, I do. I have to pick Fresno because if they lose, then I'm out on them for the rest of the year. That tells me all I need to know. If you can't beat San Jose State, it's all I need to know about you. Okay. So I will go Fresno. Okay. If you had asked me a week ago, I probably would have said San Jose State. But I think I saw enough. To where I think I can give them the edge over here. San Jose State did have a good game, but they let Cal Poly drop twenty on though. That's still not impressive to see from your defense. So with that in mind, I think I will go with the Bulldogs, but this is a game where I could see going either way for sure. Especially since it's in San Jose Gridd. I know they're three hours away, Brett, but you're still not in your home. No, you're right. You're right. It's still an away game. So yeah, give me the Bulldogs there to round us out. And then you said did you say Oregon State, Montana for ⁓ T ⁓ what was their name? TFC Colorado State has Oregon. Yeah, Oregon State. And then San Jose State with the upset. That is their upset, which technically North Texas, they picked North Texas. That's also an upset as well, according to DraftKings. That just might be free. That just might be free. Yeah. It's an interesting week. Like I think that can bring us into kinda like how do we feel about the state of this conference right now? Because ⁓ I'm not that hype right now. I I don't feel good. I don't. Yeah, I don't feel as good as I did to start the year, but I think once we see it play out, I think the the the top teams will separate themselves from like the top teams from say like the American. I also don't really feel as good coming into this season as I did before, but I will be I'm not gonna lie, the bottom two teams like really showing me flashes here is what's keeping me kind of, you know, hype. Just because like Oregon State, we didn't have high. Colorado State, I was kind of like the only one that was mid kind of high on them and they've just showed out. So that's like, you know what? At least like we weren't right about everything. Yeah. But Other than that, I think that about wraps it up here. Couldn't quite fit the time for the other sports. We will get to that next week. Don't worry. We didn't forget about y'all. Football is just a long thing to cover. But thank you so much for listening to this episode of the Pac Twelve.
