- 0:16Speaker 4: You've been fallistas on a lot of public service stuff.
- 0:18Speaker 3: Rich Valdez calumnist now with the Washington Times.
- 0:20Speaker 5: This is America, Richiev.
- 0:22Speaker 3: You're on the air with A Nation.
- 0:25Speaker 5: With America with your host, Rich Valdez.
- 0:29Speaker 6: What's up, America, I am Rich Valdez. Valdez with then
- 0:32Speaker 6: asked that Rich valdezt on all of the social media
- 0:35Speaker 6: Happy Thanksgiving, Happy Black Friday, Happy Cyber Monday, all of
- 0:38Speaker 6: that good stuff. I missed you, guys. I hope you
- 0:41Speaker 6: had a good time off. I know I'm blessed and
- 0:44Speaker 6: extremely happy to be with you guys. And it's a
- 0:46Speaker 6: bunch of things we're talking about in the news. Of course,
- 0:48Speaker 6: there's a shooting in California. Some children we're celebrating a
- 0:52Speaker 6: birthday party when shots rang out. We're gonna hear about that.
- 0:57Speaker 6: We're also going to talk about the attack on thanksg
- 1:00Speaker 6: Giving of the National Guard members to members, one has
- 1:03Speaker 6: since been pronounced dead, the other one fighting for his life.
- 1:06Speaker 6: I'm going to give you an update on that, as
- 1:07Speaker 6: well as the Pope, the Pope visiting Turkey refusing to
- 1:13Speaker 6: pray in a mosque.
- 1:14Speaker 3: We'll get into what that's all about.
- 1:16Speaker 6: And we also have traditions, right, everybody was sitting around
- 1:21Speaker 6: the Thanksgiving table with their family and what were some
- 1:25Speaker 6: of the traditions, what weren't they And if a new
- 1:27Speaker 6: one is introduced, do we automatically just say yeah, let's
- 1:31Speaker 6: let's do that, or do people push back to people
- 1:34Speaker 6: say no, I don't want to get involved in your tradition.
- 1:38Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:38Speaker 6: So a bunch of different things, but you know, politics
- 1:42Speaker 6: is one of those things that is it's always tricky
- 1:44Speaker 6: for people, right, And as many of us were sitting
- 1:46Speaker 6: around our Thanksgiving tables with our families and our friends,
- 1:53Speaker 6: it becomes the game of politics in many ways. Right,
- 1:56Speaker 6: some people sitting there saying, oh, I don't want to
- 1:58Speaker 6: talk about this, I don't want to talk about that.
- 1:59Speaker 6: I want to get into the nuts and bolts of
- 2:02Speaker 6: everything that's going on. And you've got some people that
- 2:06Speaker 6: are like, yeah, yeah, pass the wine, and others thinking no, no, no,
- 2:09Speaker 6: that's no good. And it reminded me of a joke
- 2:12Speaker 6: about a politician that was running for office, who was
- 2:15Speaker 6: asked about his position on liquor. You know what's your policy, sir,
- 2:18Speaker 6: and he answers. If you mean the demon drink that
- 2:21Speaker 6: poisons the body, ruins the mind, destroys the family, and
- 2:25Speaker 6: creates criminals, then I'm against it. But if you mean
- 2:28Speaker 6: the beautiful drink used for a wedding toast, the foundation
- 2:32Speaker 6: of a fun Friday night, and the biggest source of
- 2:35Speaker 6: tax revenue to fund needy orphans, then I'm all for it,
- 2:40Speaker 6: and I won't change my mind no matter what you say.
- 2:43Speaker 6: And that, my friends, is what thanksgivings all about, right,
- 2:45Speaker 6: finding that happy medium and being able to make your case.
- 2:49Speaker 3: I guess both ways.
- 2:51Speaker 6: Anyway, I want to get into a bunch of things
- 2:53Speaker 6: because President Trump has declared the Venezuelan airspace closed, as
- 2:59Speaker 6: well as as people in that part of the world
- 3:03Speaker 6: expecting for the United States military to actually hit the ground.
- 3:11Speaker 3: Now, I don't know if that's going to be a reality.
- 3:13Speaker 6: I think we're trying to arrest Madudo, and we did
- 3:16Speaker 6: arrest Manuel Noriega, and we did it that way, right.
- 3:18Speaker 6: I think it was marines on the ground handful and
- 3:21Speaker 6: we got it done. I think Trump's taking a different approach,
- 3:24Speaker 6: like I'm going to send you so much firepower that
- 3:26Speaker 6: you're not going to know what to do and you
- 3:28Speaker 6: better just give up. Well, I think that potentially may
- 3:31Speaker 6: have happened. Why because mister Maduro is I don't know,
- 3:37Speaker 6: he's running around. He's going to Brazil. Listen to this report.
- 3:41Speaker 7: A presidential jet i'm by Venezuela's Nicholas Majeiro has been
- 3:44Speaker 7: caught flying from Crackers to the border with Brazil. According
- 3:48Speaker 7: to reports, The mysterious movements came just hours after Donald
- 3:52Speaker 7: Trump declared Venezuela's airspace it's closed in its entirety of
- 3:56Speaker 7: He vowed US land shikes will start very soon. According
- 4:00Speaker 7: to the ADSB Exchange websites, which wants US flight tracking data,
- 4:04Speaker 7: the aircraft departed from Crackers and flew to the border
- 4:07Speaker 7: with the Brazilian state of Rama before returning to the
- 4:10Speaker 7: Venezuelan capital hours later. The aircraft was an Airbus AIM
- 4:15Speaker 7: three to one nine operated by Conviasa, a Venezuelan state
- 4:19Speaker 7: owned airline.
- 4:20Speaker 6: I just want to jump in here. Do we think
- 4:23Speaker 6: he's running away? Do you think he's hiding stuff? Do
- 4:25Speaker 6: you think this is business as usual for the President
- 4:27Speaker 6: of Venezuela. These are the questions that I have, because
- 4:30Speaker 6: you know, if you've got this large foreign army surrounding
- 4:34Speaker 6: your country telling you that we're about to come in
- 4:36Speaker 6: and you are a fugitive in our country and you
- 4:39Speaker 6: need to stand trial, I would suspect that either you
- 4:42Speaker 6: don't care and you're like it's all fake, forony fraud.
- 4:44Speaker 6: I'm going to fly around anywhere and show people I'm
- 4:46Speaker 6: not scared, or you're doing stuff. So what's the connection
- 4:50Speaker 6: with Brazil? Is Lula helping him? Are we going to
- 4:53Speaker 6: see a bigger play here?
- 4:54Speaker 7: Play a tack seeing in Brazil reports. The plane is
- 4:58Speaker 7: described as a VIP government and has been used by
- 5:01Speaker 7: Dictator Maduro on official trips in the past. It is
- 5:05Speaker 7: not clear if he was actually on the plane during
- 5:07Speaker 7: the flight. It took place hours after Trump warned pilots
- 5:11Speaker 7: not to enter the Venezuelan airspace.
- 5:13Speaker 3: However, in a post.
- 5:14Speaker 7: Untrue social Trump announced to all airlines, pilots, drug dealers,
- 5:19Speaker 7: and humor traffickers please continue the airspace above and surrounding
- 5:23Speaker 7: Venezuela to be closed in its entirety.
- 5:27Speaker 6: So all that is a second So Trump obviously he says, hey,
- 5:30Speaker 6: I'm just letting out all the drug traffickers know.
- 5:32Speaker 3: The airspace is closed. You're closed for business. The United
- 5:35Speaker 3: States is here is a new sheriff, and down I
- 5:37Speaker 3: blow you up.
- 5:38Speaker 6: In international words, I'm ad libbing, of course, And of
- 5:41Speaker 6: course Ma Lula does this little jet thing to taunt him,
- 5:45Speaker 6: to show strength, to say, I'm not gonna let you
- 5:47Speaker 6: push me around, you imperialist, capitalist, American pig headlate.
- 5:52Speaker 7: The airspace closure comes as the US and Venezuela continue
- 5:55Speaker 7: to clash over Trump's war and drugs, and America ramps
- 5:59Speaker 7: up presence in the Caribbean. US military aircraft are already
- 6:04Speaker 7: said to be almost constantly conducting patrols in the international
- 6:08Speaker 7: airspace near Venezuela, a US official told the Washington Post,
- 6:12Speaker 7: and on Thursday, Trump vowed to escalate military action against
- 6:16Speaker 7: alleged drug smugglers, saying the military would start land operations
- 6:20Speaker 7: in Venezuela very soon. It comes as Trump and Maduro
- 6:24Speaker 7: continue to go toe to toe with one another. Trump
- 6:27Speaker 7: is accused Madua of heading a state embedded criminal empire
- 6:30Speaker 7: that has corrupted the military, intelligence agencies, the courts, and parliament,
- 6:34Speaker 7: whereas Maduro has alleged Trump's built up of pressure it
- 6:37Speaker 7: is designed simply to drive him out of power.
- 6:41Speaker 6: So again, that's a report there from the Sun. And
- 6:45Speaker 6: it's always fun when you get the British gay right
- 6:48Speaker 6: military build up taking out to power power anyway, always
- 6:53Speaker 6: appreciate a good accent, so I let that play in
- 6:55Speaker 6: its entirety.
- 6:56Speaker 3: It's a pretty long report, a little longer than I would.
- 6:58Speaker 6: Have liked, but why because I think it's important that
- 7:01Speaker 6: we discuss what's going on here at the approach to
- 7:04Speaker 6: the things that we're doing internationally. And I wasn't going
- 7:06Speaker 6: to start with this story with all these shootings and everything.
- 7:08Speaker 6: I think they're more pressing, but this just came to
- 7:12Speaker 6: mind and I didn't want to skip it. So there's
- 7:16Speaker 6: a topic I want to get into of a color revolution? Right,
- 7:19Speaker 6: What is a color revolution?
- 7:20Speaker 3: Why do we have them? Where are we seeing them?
- 7:22Speaker 3: Are we in the middle of one?
- 7:24Speaker 6: And these color revolutions that we've seen and we as
- 7:28Speaker 6: the United States government have participated in in many countries
- 7:31Speaker 6: to topple regimes that were unfriendly to our interests.
- 7:36Speaker 3: Have occurred in history in the past.
- 7:39Speaker 6: And my question is is that what's happening here well,
- 7:42Speaker 6: of course, our enemies like China and Russia and others.
- 7:46Speaker 3: And I know there's some listening right now saying Richie,
- 7:48Speaker 3: come on, you're wrong. You don't understand. That's not it.
- 7:51Speaker 6: That's not how this works. China and Putin and Trump,
- 7:55Speaker 6: they're all working together. They're trying to get rid of
- 7:57Speaker 6: the deep state. Okay, you can think that all you want.
- 8:00Speaker 6: I don't necessarily see that. I think China will happily
- 8:03Speaker 6: eat our lunch any day of the week. In fact,
- 8:04Speaker 6: in many ways they are.
- 8:06Speaker 3: So I get it. I get it if you want
- 8:09Speaker 3: to sit there and think that that's fine.
- 8:11Speaker 6: And maybe there are times where there's a Machiavellian play
- 8:15Speaker 6: going on where the enemy of my enemy is my friend,
- 8:17Speaker 6: but doesn't really mean he's your friend. It just means
- 8:19Speaker 6: he's your enemy's enemy. He might be your enemy too,
- 8:23Speaker 6: and in that moment, or on that issue, or in
- 8:24Speaker 6: this particular instance. But by and large, these people oppose us.
- 8:29Speaker 5: Right.
- 8:30Speaker 3: We can never work hand in hand with Iran. Why
- 8:33Speaker 3: because they say death to America. They hate us.
- 8:36Speaker 6: So a little bit later and it might even pour
- 8:39Speaker 6: into a second hour. But I want to talk about
- 8:43Speaker 6: color revolutions because I found a great explainer video that well,
- 8:48Speaker 6: you know, there's a little bit of a political bias
- 8:49Speaker 6: in it, it's a good explainer and it'll be something
- 8:53Speaker 6: good for us to kind of bounce some ideas around.
- 8:55Speaker 3: I'm going to leave that out for a little bit later.
- 8:57Speaker 6: But what I want to get into here is this
- 8:58Speaker 6: shooting in California because this, you know, the media is
- 9:04Speaker 6: now going bananas on this, as they should, right, anytime
- 9:07Speaker 6: you have children attacked, you want to take it seriously
- 9:10Speaker 6: and publicize.
- 9:11Speaker 3: It and let the people know.
- 9:12Speaker 6: I get that, But of course there's the left within
- 9:15Speaker 6: the media, and the left within the media always wants
- 9:18Speaker 6: to attack our Second Amendment. And I've seen already so
- 9:21Speaker 6: many comments about oh this, well, this is the price
- 9:23Speaker 6: you pay for having your beloved Second Amendment, And people
- 9:27Speaker 6: seem to lose sight of the fact that we never
- 9:29Speaker 6: say that when there's a DWI, well, that's the.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Price to pay for wanting to drive on the roads.
- 9:35Speaker 6: Right, evil exists in this world, and because evil exists
- 9:39Speaker 6: in this world, it doesn't mean that we are.
- 9:43Speaker 3: Ever going to be devoid of it.
- 9:45Speaker 6: Right, We're always going to have to deal with evil,
- 9:47Speaker 6: whether it's by way of a hammer, by way of
- 9:49Speaker 6: a gun, by way of a car, by way of
- 9:51Speaker 6: somebody's hands. Evil is the condition of the heart, and
- 9:56Speaker 6: it manifests through people's actions. So these arguments I think
- 10:00Speaker 6: are very disingenuous, But I want to give you this
- 10:02Speaker 6: scoop here. This is the latest from the New York Post.
- 10:06Speaker 6: At least two children and two adults so four in
- 10:10Speaker 6: totals so far have been killed. Ten others are wounded
- 10:12Speaker 6: in this mass shooting at a little girl's birthday party
- 10:15Speaker 6: in Stockton, California. This happened on Saturday night. The gunman
- 10:19Speaker 6: is still on the loose. According to police. The shooting
- 10:22Speaker 6: happened that Monkey Space, a banquet.
- 10:24Speaker 3: Hall in the area near a dairy queen.
- 10:31Speaker 6: The shooting broke out just before six pm inside the
- 10:34Speaker 6: banquet hall, and the quote from the detectives that were
- 10:39Speaker 6: onseen is that this is a very active and ongoing
- 10:41Speaker 6: investigation and information remains limited. Early indications suggests that it
- 10:45Speaker 6: may be a targeted incident. Investigators are exploring every possibility.
- 10:51Speaker 6: So as I learn more, you'll learn more. But really,
- 10:55Speaker 6: this is a horrible thing. Not the first time we've
- 10:58Speaker 6: seen it. Sadly, a couple of months ago there was
- 11:02Speaker 6: a wedding going on in New Hampshire. I don't know
- 11:04Speaker 6: if you remember that, but I definitely talked about it,
- 11:06Speaker 6: and if you were tuned in for that, you heard
- 11:07Speaker 6: about it.
- 11:08Speaker 3: But I was out. It was the same thing. Saturday night.
- 11:12Speaker 6: I was out with some friends and I got a
- 11:15Speaker 6: text from a very close family friend who is a
- 11:19Speaker 6: cop in New Hampshire, and he said, crazy shooting. Fifteen
- 11:24Speaker 6: people shot. Shooter yelled a la u ackbar. And I
- 11:31Speaker 6: looked around and the only reports I found of it.
- 11:33Speaker 6: There was nothing online at that moment except for a
- 11:36Speaker 6: couple of tweets about it from people tweeting on Twitter,
- 11:40Speaker 6: and the tweets were already saying before there was somebody
- 11:43Speaker 6: saying this happened, there was somebody saying, if you're hearing
- 11:47Speaker 6: that the gunman yelled a la u akbar in the
- 11:51Speaker 6: New Hampshire shooting, this is misinformation. And I thought to myself, wow,
- 11:56Speaker 6: there's no report about this shooting. About fifteen minutes later,
- 12:00Speaker 6: the reports started to show up online and there was
- 12:03Speaker 6: no mention of allah wakbar being shouted as the gunman
- 12:08Speaker 6: entered the banquet hall. Yet I followed up with my
- 12:12Speaker 6: cop who was on the scene, and I said, are
- 12:14Speaker 6: you sure about this? And he said, I've interviewed twelve witnesses.
- 12:17Speaker 6: They all have it in their statement. They were all
- 12:20Speaker 6: eyewitnesses in the room. So you tell me who's the
- 12:25Speaker 6: more credible source, the news or the police that are
- 12:29Speaker 6: on the scene, the witnesses in the room. Right, Isn't
- 12:32Speaker 6: this interesting stuff? So that's why I'm always a little
- 12:35Speaker 6: bit skeptical when I read these reports, especially initial ones,
- 12:37Speaker 6: because sometimes the fake news is fake, not because they
- 12:39Speaker 6: want to be fake, but that's just because it's already
- 12:41Speaker 6: been massaged. Right, there's certain details that just left out,
- 12:44Speaker 6: whether it's editors, whether it's reporters themselves making these editorial
- 12:48Speaker 6: judgments to not include certain things. Thinking, the biggest story
- 12:51Speaker 6: here is that there was a shooting at a banquet hall,
- 12:54Speaker 6: not that the shooter yelled alah wakbar. Now, I'm not
- 12:57Speaker 6: saying that happened to California. I'm making specific reference to
- 13:00Speaker 6: what happened in.
- 13:02Speaker 3: New Hampshire.
- 13:03Speaker 6: However, interesting nonetheless, right that that was the case a
- 13:09Speaker 6: few months back in New Hampshire. And I'm not trying
- 13:11Speaker 6: to make any correlation between the two except for the
- 13:14Speaker 6: fact that they both happened at banquet halls. Now, speaking
- 13:17Speaker 6: of the fake news, the White House is debuting a
- 13:22Speaker 6: media Offender of the Week website targeting the fake news.
- 13:26Speaker 6: I think this is terrific personally. I've always wanted to
- 13:28Speaker 6: do a segment on this. I just never knew what
- 13:31Speaker 6: to call it, right. I don't know if you guys
- 13:34Speaker 6: want to help me and maybe send me some tweets
- 13:37Speaker 6: or send me some dms with your thoughts.
- 13:40Speaker 3: I'd love to know what a good idea for this
- 13:43Speaker 3: might be.
- 13:45Speaker 6: Because you know, there's a morning show in New York
- 13:50Speaker 6: with the host you've heard of him plenty during the election,
- 13:52Speaker 6: Charlemagne and the God, and they have a segment called
- 13:58Speaker 6: Donkey of the Day, right, and it's you know, who's
- 14:03Speaker 6: the biggest jackass that day? And then you know, they
- 14:05Speaker 6: do a story. It's a really fun segment. I want
- 14:07Speaker 6: to do a segment like that, but I needed a
- 14:09Speaker 6: cool name for it, and I thought Docy other Day
- 14:11Speaker 6: was a great name, and it was already taken, so
- 14:13Speaker 6: I didn't have one. So therefore, you know, I might
- 14:15Speaker 6: mention the story's but never in that format encapsulated as
- 14:18Speaker 6: an actual segment, which I think would be really fun. Anyway,
- 14:21Speaker 6: Needless to say, I'm relying on you, miamigos, my Valdez VIPs,
- 14:25Speaker 6: my Radio Familia, my podcast for media to come up
- 14:29Speaker 6: with a name for that segment. But anyway, I am
- 14:33Speaker 6: digressing here. The White House debuted this new page on
- 14:36Speaker 6: its website Friday aimed at lambasting media outlets over fake
- 14:40Speaker 6: news and their false, phony and fake coverage of the
- 14:43Speaker 6: Trump administration's actions. White House Press Secretary Caroline Levin announced
- 14:47Speaker 6: the website on Friday, posting on X the White House
- 14:51Speaker 6: is holding the fake news accountable like never before and
- 14:54Speaker 6: posted this the story there. So that's great love that
- 14:59Speaker 6: this website as of late is listing CBS News, The
- 15:04Speaker 6: Boston Globe, the Independent as the offenders of the week
- 15:09Speaker 6: for their supposedly biased coverage of Trump calling out a
- 15:13Speaker 6: video by the seditious six congressional Democrats who apparently sought
- 15:18Speaker 6: to undermine the military's chain of command. This is, you know, again,
- 15:20Speaker 6: the Daily Callers reporting. I'm saying, if it was illegal,
- 15:27Speaker 6: then it should be punishable by death. Now this is
- 15:31Speaker 6: the senator from Michigan, at least A Slotkin and five
- 15:33Speaker 6: other congressional Democrats. I've played that for you where they
- 15:36Speaker 6: did their thing, and then a couple of Republicans kind
- 15:38Speaker 6: of retorted.
- 15:40Speaker 3: And this has been going on on and on. People
- 15:42Speaker 3: keep talking about it. Excuse me. So the White House
- 15:48Speaker 3: has this new website, and I think that's great. She says.
- 15:51Speaker 6: The media misrepresented the President's call for members of Congress
- 15:55Speaker 6: to be held accountable for inciting sedition by saying that
- 15:58Speaker 6: he calls for their execution. And of course, I mean
- 16:01Speaker 6: you had to see that coming, right, I mean, if
- 16:04Speaker 6: you say bad behavior punishable by death, what do you
- 16:08Speaker 6: think they're going to say. They're going to take the
- 16:10Speaker 6: ball and run with it.
- 16:10Speaker 3: That's what they do.
- 16:11Speaker 6: They're Democrats. They you know, hyperbole is their middle name.
- 16:15Speaker 6: So the Democrats and the fake news media subversively implied
- 16:19Speaker 6: that President Trump had issued illegal orders to service members.
- 16:23Speaker 6: Then every order President Trump issued has been lawful, she says.
- 16:27Speaker 6: And for it's dangerous for a sitting member of Congress
- 16:30Speaker 6: to incite insubordination in the United States military, and President
- 16:34Speaker 6: Trump called.
- 16:34Speaker 3: Them out for it to be accountable.
- 16:37Speaker 6: Very good kudos to Caroline Love It an excellent job here,
- 16:40Speaker 6: and I think it's important that we always, you know,
- 16:43Speaker 6: call things out right. One of the reasons people like
- 16:46Speaker 6: Trump in my opinion, and definitely one of the reasons
- 16:48Speaker 6: I like him. He's a fighter. He fights back, he
- 16:50Speaker 6: pushes back. He does not accept the status quo. He
- 16:53Speaker 6: just doesn't say, oh, if I say that, you're going
- 16:55Speaker 6: to say this, or if you all you're going to
- 16:56Speaker 6: think this of me if I say that, But you know,
- 16:57Speaker 6: I don't really agree with that, And you know, eliminates
- 17:00Speaker 6: the sidebark conversation with your friends where you're like, isn't
- 17:04Speaker 6: that weird?
- 17:04Speaker 3: Why would they do?
- 17:05Speaker 6: No, he goes straight to you weird, wrong, bad, fake news,
- 17:10Speaker 6: you know, and you got to love him for calling
- 17:12Speaker 6: things out. He's got the courage that we haven't seen
- 17:17Speaker 6: in a very long time. So I'm going to keep
- 17:19Speaker 6: you posted on Venezuela. I'm going to keep you posted
- 17:21Speaker 6: on this California shooting. Straight ahead, we're going to find
- 17:24Speaker 6: out what's going on with Cyber Monday coming up. And
- 17:27Speaker 6: those numbers are not in yet, of course, but some
- 17:30Speaker 6: tariff numbers are in, and Jerome Powell had some interesting
- 17:33Speaker 6: things to say about these tariffs, so I want to
- 17:36Speaker 6: talk about that. Of course, I mentioned the pope. We're
- 17:39Speaker 6: going to get to that maybe in this hour, maybe
- 17:41Speaker 6: in the next hour. We'll see how that plays out.
- 17:43Speaker 6: As well as these traditions, family traditions, I definitely want
- 17:47Speaker 6: to get into that. There's a couple of family traditions
- 17:49Speaker 6: that I want to talk about, one of them being,
- 17:52Speaker 6: you know, like new things that people might do at
- 17:54Speaker 6: Christmas Eve or might have done it even at Thanksgiving.
- 17:57Speaker 6: And there's another funny story on one off story though
- 18:00Speaker 6: to get to, where a woman let her cousin crash
- 18:03Speaker 6: at her apartment and then she comes home to find
- 18:05Speaker 6: that her furniture had been completely rearranged, And I'm thinking.
- 18:10Speaker 3: Who does that? So I could see that happening and
- 18:13Speaker 3: with you know, with some Puerto Rican family for sure.
- 18:15Speaker 3: I know this the Leaniadum vocal. You know I decided to.
- 18:20Speaker 6: Clean up, rearrange a little bit anyway, uh more, to
- 18:23Speaker 6: come straight ahead, keep it locked right here.
- 18:25Speaker 3: I'm rich Veldes.
- 18:26Speaker 5: This is a Maria. This is Aria. He's brown, he's bald,
- 18:42Speaker 5: and he's breaking it down.
- 18:43Speaker 3: Oh he's still had someome what's his day? Rich Veldes?
- 18:49Speaker 6: All right, and he goes welcome back. We continue the conversation.
- 18:53Speaker 6: Lots to discuss and I want to get into a
- 18:56Speaker 6: couple of things here. What did I say before I
- 18:59Speaker 6: said tariff's Jerome Powell Irs. And Plus there's a lot
- 19:03Speaker 6: to talk about these Afghans, a bunch of there's another
- 19:06Speaker 6: Afghan that was caught making a bomb from the same
- 19:11Speaker 6: program where Biden extended them that courtesy if they helped
- 19:14Speaker 6: us in afghanistand that he would allow them to come here.
- 19:16Speaker 3: I'll get into that as well.
- 19:17Speaker 6: We're definitely gonna have to go into a second how
- 19:18Speaker 6: I'm gonna have to keep this hour kind of tight,
- 19:20Speaker 6: and then we're going to keep moving. But I want
- 19:22Speaker 6: to continue with what Chairman Powell said, because again, I
- 19:26Speaker 6: think this is interesting. A lot of people were saying
- 19:28Speaker 6: this is going to cause inflation, this is gonna do
- 19:31Speaker 6: a bunch of damage in America. Tariffs are going to
- 19:33Speaker 6: break everything, and the markets reacted, I think, for three
- 19:38Speaker 6: days very poorly, and then stabilized and did better than before.
- 19:43Speaker 6: The inflation numbers continue to come down. So I think
- 19:47Speaker 6: Trump has proven everybody wrong here. Yet I don't hear
- 19:49Speaker 6: too much talk about that in the media. And I've
- 19:52Speaker 6: got this clip. Let me see if I could queue
- 19:54Speaker 6: it up quickly. Let's get that clip of Powell. Please
- 19:57Speaker 6: all right, listen to this one right at.
- 20:01Speaker 1: We're now collecting a good bit of revenue. The government
- 20:03Speaker 1: is collector government collecting a good chunk of revenue three
- 20:06Speaker 1: or four hundred three or four hundred.
- 20:08Speaker 4: Billion dollars a year pace. And the question is who's
- 20:11Speaker 4: paying that?
- 20:12Speaker 1: And the candidates for paying that those tariffs would be
- 20:15Speaker 1: the exporter, the foreign exporter, or someone on our shores.
- 20:20Speaker 1: It could be a company or a retail or, someone
- 20:22Speaker 1: is using the imported product to manufacture something, or the
- 20:25Speaker 1: end consumer.
- 20:26Speaker 4: And so there's so far, and it's incredibly early days.
- 20:31Speaker 1: It doesn't look like the overseas exporters are carrying the
- 20:35Speaker 1: bulk of it. It looks like it's that middle group,
- 20:38Speaker 1: it's retailers and it's importers, and they're not passing along
- 20:42Speaker 1: to consumers that much of the cost.
- 20:45Speaker 4: So the actual effects on inflation have been quite modest.
- 20:48Speaker 5: So far.
- 20:49Speaker 6: We're not passing all of that on to consumers, and
- 20:52Speaker 6: the impact on inflation has been very modest. Well, that
- 20:57Speaker 6: seems to make sense to me, isn't that it interesting? Well,
- 21:00Speaker 6: it doesn't come as a surprise to many. I think
- 21:02Speaker 6: many of us thought that this might be the case. Now, Again,
- 21:04Speaker 6: nobody was sure of that, right, because there's everything's balanced,
- 21:09Speaker 6: and sometimes things take a while to materialize, right. So
- 21:13Speaker 6: for example, that wasn't the case initially, but last month
- 21:18Speaker 6: very positive news on tariff's.
- 21:19Speaker 3: Listen to this.
- 21:20Speaker 8: The President Trump says that he relied on his tariff
- 21:22Speaker 8: policies to make all of this happen. In October, tariffs
- 21:25Speaker 8: brought in thirty three billion dollars. That's a three hundred
- 21:28Speaker 8: and sixteen percent increase from October of twenty twenty four,
- 21:31Speaker 8: not to the president.
- 21:32Speaker 6: So check that out right, a three hundred and thirty
- 21:36Speaker 6: three percent increase. Not too shabby. Now, even some of
- 21:41Speaker 6: the researchers at the Federal Reserve in San Francisco are
- 21:45Speaker 6: coming to this realization that if you do a longitudinal
- 21:47Speaker 6: study and look at tariff effects over time, you might
- 21:50Speaker 6: see an increase in inflation. You might see an increase
- 21:53Speaker 6: in unemployment, but you might also see decreases in both
- 21:55Speaker 6: if you go a little further.
- 21:57Speaker 9: Listen to this, Thank, sure is he going to be said,
- 22:00Speaker 9: these direct payments to Americans of two thousand.
- 22:02Speaker 2: Dollars or more, we will see we need legislation for
- 22:05Speaker 2: that and again President Trump is all about solutions, Maria,
- 22:09Speaker 2: and everything is on the table. But I will tell
- 22:13Speaker 2: you that again thanks to him keeping his campaign promises
- 22:17Speaker 2: to working Americans with the working tax and tips so
- 22:21Speaker 2: security over time, we are going to see a big
- 22:25Speaker 2: bump in the first quarter with the refunds and the
- 22:29Speaker 2: real incomes.
- 22:31Speaker 6: Well, and that's the question. Are we going to see
- 22:33Speaker 6: this big bump with incomes? Are we going to see
- 22:36Speaker 6: this big bump with everything else?
- 22:37Speaker 10: Well?
- 22:38Speaker 6: This new analysis I was mentioning to you about from
- 22:39Speaker 6: the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco examine the impact
- 22:48Speaker 6: of tariffs on the economy based on historical examples, finding
- 22:52Speaker 6: that the effect of import taxes or tariffs on inflation
- 22:56Speaker 6: and unemployment vary over time. This was published just last
- 23:01Speaker 6: Monday in an economic letter by Senior Policy Advisor Oscar
- 23:05Speaker 6: Jorda and Vice President Fernanda Nescio, both of the San
- 23:11Speaker 6: Francisco Fedboard Economic Research Department, and they use data from
- 23:15Speaker 6: four decades of international trade to measure the economic shift
- 23:19Speaker 6: caused by tariffs.
- 23:21Speaker 3: Here's a quote from it.
- 23:22Speaker 6: Tariffs can affect supply chains, investment firms output costs, resulting
- 23:26Speaker 6: in supply side effects such as higher inflation and higher unemployment. However,
- 23:31Speaker 6: tariffs can also affect spending the demand side of the economy.
- 23:35Speaker 6: Weaker demand translates to higher unemployment but lower inflation, right,
- 23:39Speaker 6: and it goes on. Estimates using forty years of international
- 23:44Speaker 6: data show that following the change in tariffs, initially the
- 23:47Speaker 6: unemployment rate increases and inflation declines. But over time, however,
- 23:53Speaker 6: the unemployment rate returns to normal levels while inflation may
- 23:58Speaker 6: go up. So this is what they're pushing, and this
- 24:02Speaker 6: is why people are so afraid saying it's gonna affect inflation.
- 24:05Speaker 6: It's gonna affect inflation, It's going to affect inflation, right,
- 24:08Speaker 6: because their fear is that it's going to be passed
- 24:11Speaker 6: on to the consumer, which is in the form of
- 24:15Speaker 6: an inflated good. However, you just heard your own Powell
- 24:19Speaker 6: be forced to admit too recently, was that this is
- 24:22Speaker 6: not being passed on, that people are eating that cost.
- 24:25Speaker 3: Right.
- 24:25Speaker 6: So I like to think of it in simple terms,
- 24:29Speaker 6: and it's not always going to be the case, right,
- 24:30Speaker 6: Sometimes it will, sometimes it won't depends on the operator.
- 24:34Speaker 6: If you go to the pizzeria and let's say you
- 24:36Speaker 6: pay three bucks for a slice of pizza, and now
- 24:38Speaker 6: there's a problem with cows. There's less cows, it's harder
- 24:41Speaker 6: to get milk, it's harder to get the mozzarella cheese,
- 24:43Speaker 6: and now they have to.
- 24:44Speaker 3: Pay more for their cheese. Do they immediately go ahead
- 24:48Speaker 3: and start charging their customers more for cheese or do
- 24:53Speaker 3: they start making a little bit less right depending on
- 24:56Speaker 3: their margin.
- 24:56Speaker 6: That's really what it comes down to. If the guy,
- 24:58Speaker 6: let's say, was you know, spending sixty cents to make
- 25:01Speaker 6: a slice of pizza or a dollar and was making
- 25:05Speaker 6: two dollars in profit, and now he's got to spend
- 25:08Speaker 6: I don't know, a dollar twenty five or eighty five cents,
- 25:10Speaker 6: you know, a twenty five cent increase, and it's up
- 25:14Speaker 6: to the sky this pizza man to say, am I
- 25:16Speaker 6: going to eat that quarter because it's a twenty five
- 25:19Speaker 6: cents more for me to buy this cheese and keep
- 25:22Speaker 6: my customers happy and keep my business going where I
- 25:25Speaker 6: make that much less? Or do I tell them it's
- 25:28Speaker 6: now three dollars and twenty five cents, risking them saying,
- 25:32Speaker 6: you know what, it was good, but it wasn't that
- 25:34Speaker 6: good and going somewhere else where somebody else is going
- 25:37Speaker 6: to eat it.
- 25:38Speaker 3: So it depends on the percentage of increase that you,
- 25:41Speaker 3: as the operator, are choosing to do.
- 25:43Speaker 6: Now, you could also say, you know what, this cheese
- 25:45Speaker 6: that I'm buying, I don't have to buy it from Canada.
- 25:48Speaker 6: Maybe I should just buy it from allbody New York
- 25:50Speaker 6: and avoid paying the tariff. So there's a lot of
- 25:53Speaker 6: nuance and a lot of interesting I guess extenuating circumstances
- 25:59Speaker 6: here that it's hard to say it's going to do
- 26:01Speaker 6: this or it's going to do that, except for when
- 26:03Speaker 6: you have hard numbers after the fact, And the only
- 26:05Speaker 6: hard numbers we have right now after the fact is
- 26:08Speaker 6: that Trump policies brought in thirty three billion dollars in
- 26:11Speaker 6: additional revenue, and that we have, in fact now not
- 26:18Speaker 6: seen an increase in inflation, and it's not being passed
- 26:21Speaker 6: on to the consumer. In large part that's coming from
- 26:24Speaker 6: Jerome Powell, who can't stand Trump. Now, President Trump, he
- 26:28Speaker 6: didn't stay behind. He says, we're going to use this
- 26:32Speaker 6: eventually eliminate the income tax.
- 26:34Speaker 10: Check this out over the next couple of years, I
- 26:36Speaker 10: think will substantially be cutting and maybe cutting out completely,
- 26:40Speaker 10: but we'll be cutting income tax could be almost completely
- 26:44Speaker 10: cutting it because the money we're taken and is going
- 26:46Speaker 10: to be so large. And yet other countries who have
- 26:51Speaker 10: been ripping us off for many, many years and many years,
- 26:53Speaker 10: they've just been ripping us to shreds.
- 26:57Speaker 6: So President Trump again proposing to almost completely eliminate the
- 27:02Speaker 6: income tax, cutting taxes like no other politician.
- 27:05Speaker 3: I love this.
- 27:06Speaker 6: And he says all this thanks to the effects of
- 27:08Speaker 6: his trade policies that again as a message he gave
- 27:11Speaker 6: on Thanksgiving from mar A Lago in Florida. Kudos to
- 27:17Speaker 6: Ed Trompito, because we need that right and this is
- 27:20Speaker 6: a big deal, the president again referencing investment commitments that
- 27:23Speaker 6: have been made by other nations, pledges from companies to
- 27:26Speaker 6: expand their production presence in the United States, as well
- 27:30Speaker 6: as revenue accrued from tariffs.
- 27:34Speaker 3: I love it again. They got the transcript in front
- 27:37Speaker 3: of me.
- 27:37Speaker 6: Over the next couple of years, I think will substantially
- 27:39Speaker 6: be cutting you've just heard it, cutting completely, almost cutting
- 27:44Speaker 6: out completely income tax.
- 27:47Speaker 3: I think it's great.
- 27:48Speaker 6: Look, this is the stuff that I became a conservative for, right,
- 27:52Speaker 6: ending the FED, stopping the income tax, open carry all
- 27:57Speaker 6: over the world. Right, these are the things things that matter.
- 28:00Speaker 6: I think you know, an armed society's a polite society.
- 28:03Speaker 6: And when you get to keep your own money, you
- 28:07Speaker 6: have the most level of liberty. The highest level of
- 28:09Speaker 6: freedom is the ability to transact to the ability to
- 28:13Speaker 6: do whatever you want. Right because you can you want
- 28:15Speaker 6: to move here, you can move there. Why Because you
- 28:16Speaker 6: have money, You were able to make money, you were
- 28:18Speaker 6: able to provide for your family. So I couldn't be
- 28:22Speaker 6: happier about this again, is this a empty suit politician promise?
- 28:26Speaker 3: I don't think so.
- 28:27Speaker 6: Why because I think Trump is a talking about it
- 28:31Speaker 6: and b putting the steps in place to do it.
- 28:33Speaker 6: Now you can be critical and say, yeah, but you
- 28:35Speaker 6: come on, rich, there's no way he's actually going to
- 28:37Speaker 6: be able to pull it off.
- 28:38Speaker 3: He'll never get it through Congress. He'll never get this.
- 28:41Speaker 6: Listen when he says, almost completely within the executive authority,
- 28:45Speaker 6: and at least while he's president, and or while we
- 28:48Speaker 6: have a Republican president that will continue his mantra, you'll
- 28:52Speaker 6: be able to kind of zero it out, just like
- 28:53Speaker 6: what they're trying to do with the Department of Education.
- 28:56Speaker 3: Right, So this is huge.
- 28:58Speaker 6: Now, if you get somebody with enough hoodspot, enough political
- 29:00Speaker 6: will and enough political capital in Congress to be able
- 29:03Speaker 6: to pull that off by way of legislation as well. Well,
- 29:06Speaker 6: my goodness, we've got something good going on here. But
- 29:10Speaker 6: if you have to come up with clever workarounds like
- 29:12Speaker 6: saying no, no, no, we'll have this minimum effect, a
- 29:16Speaker 6: very dominimous income tax, a very non existent department of education.
- 29:24Speaker 3: Right, that's very very shell of itself. I can deal
- 29:27Speaker 3: with that too.
- 29:29Speaker 6: The key, I think is to take the steps to
- 29:31Speaker 6: actually reduce the size of government, to reduce more than anything,
- 29:34Speaker 6: the control that the government has over the people. To me,
- 29:38Speaker 6: that's one of the biggest things that we can do
- 29:40Speaker 6: as a people is elect people that are willing to
- 29:42Speaker 6: cut taxes and cut government out of our lives. So anyway,
- 29:46Speaker 6: I mean, guys, hope you're enjoying the show so far.
- 29:48Speaker 3: There is more to come.
- 29:49Speaker 6: Straight ahead. I want to talk about color revolutions. I
- 29:51Speaker 6: want to talk about the Pope and his trip to Turkey.
- 29:53Speaker 6: We're going to get into these traditions.
- 29:55Speaker 3: What happens when you invite a guest to your house
- 29:57Speaker 3: and they just start rearranging furniture? Is that normal? Do
- 30:01Speaker 3: you perceive that or take that as wow?
- 30:04Speaker 11: Thank you.
- 30:05Speaker 3: That was so nice of you. Or is this a
- 30:08Speaker 3: step too far? Did they cross a boundary?
- 30:10Speaker 6: Very interested in knowing your thoughts, and of course we're
- 30:13Speaker 6: gonna get my final thoughts on everything as we move
- 30:16Speaker 6: into the next hour.
- 30:17Speaker 3: Don't go anywhere.
- 30:18Speaker 5: This is America.
- 30:25Speaker 3: The forty fifth President Donald Trump thinks it's an honor
- 30:29Speaker 3: to speak with Rich Valdez.
- 30:31Speaker 10: Oh, very good.
- 30:36Speaker 5: The honor is all yours.
- 30:39Speaker 3: Conservative time with a dash of sofrito. Now here's Rich Valdez.
- 30:46Speaker 6: All right, amicos, welcome back, Rich Valdez, keeping your company today.
- 30:50Speaker 10: And check this out right now, I heard that Sarah
- 30:55Speaker 10: Beckstrom of West Virginia, one of the guards men that
- 30:59Speaker 10: we're talking about, highly respected, young, magnificent person, started service
- 31:06Speaker 10: in June of twenty twenty three, outstanding in every way.
- 31:10Speaker 10: She's just passed away.
- 31:13Speaker 11: She's no longer with us.
- 31:14Speaker 10: She's looking down at us right now.
- 31:17Speaker 2: Her parents are with her.
- 31:19Speaker 3: It's just happened.
- 31:22Speaker 10: She was savagely attacked. She's dead.
- 31:24Speaker 3: It's now with us.
- 31:25Speaker 10: Incredible person, outstanding in every single way, in every department.
- 31:31Speaker 6: As President Trump again from Morlo Lago, weighing in on this,
- 31:35Speaker 6: and I've got a few other clips.
- 31:36Speaker 11: I want to play for you all the people that
- 31:38Speaker 11: came to show support for what happened. It was just unbelievable.
- 31:43Speaker 11: And people know that this is something that was so
- 31:47Speaker 11: heinous that and they're angry, but they're also weighing in
- 31:52Speaker 11: so much on behalf of Andrew and the family, and
- 31:55Speaker 11: that is heartwarming.
- 31:56Speaker 6: Andrew Wolfe, National Guard's been fighting for his life after
- 32:00Speaker 6: being attacked by gunman named Raman a lah la quanal
- 32:07Speaker 6: Afghan illegal alien who entered the United States under the
- 32:10Speaker 6: Biden administration of twenty twenty one, yelling alu akbar during
- 32:13Speaker 6: the attack. Sarah Beckstrom, also National Guard member, was shot
- 32:17Speaker 6: by this man. She's passed away sadly. Very bad news indeed.
- 32:22Speaker 6: And of course there's the back and forth with President
- 32:25Speaker 6: Trump and Nancy Cordis from CBS News.
- 32:27Speaker 3: Here's a clip of that.
- 32:28Speaker 10: You stupid, You're a stupid person because they came into
- 32:32Speaker 10: on a plane along with thousands of other people that
- 32:35Speaker 10: shouldn't be here, and you're just asking questions because you're
- 32:38Speaker 10: a stupid person.
- 32:40Speaker 6: That's President Trump blasting CBS White House correspondent Nancy Cortis.
- 32:44Speaker 6: And I'm going to get to that in a moment.
- 32:45Speaker 6: I'll play the full exchange between the two of them,
- 32:48Speaker 6: But man, it was dicey. As I try to bring
- 32:50Speaker 6: everything that's going on in America at night, at day,
- 32:54Speaker 6: at any time that it's going on, I try to
- 32:56Speaker 6: give you my thoughts, my insight, my analysis, plus everything
- 32:58Speaker 6: else that's happening in our life to not keep it
- 33:01Speaker 6: overly political.
- 33:02Speaker 3: The big story this week again was the horrific.
- 33:05Speaker 6: Attack where this man yelled a la u akbar and
- 33:09Speaker 6: shot to National Guard soldiers.
- 33:11Speaker 3: I'll tell you these things. For me, I'm a wus
- 33:14Speaker 3: or a caring dad, however you want to put it.
- 33:16Speaker 3: But this girl that was murdered, she's the same age
- 33:21Speaker 3: as my daughter. You know, I have two one, twenty
- 33:24Speaker 3: one's twenty four.
- 33:25Speaker 6: So whenever news happens and involves girls of those ages,
- 33:27Speaker 6: it can't help but hit home in a particular way.
- 33:30Speaker 6: And the courage right, the girl signs up to be
- 33:34Speaker 6: a citizen soldier, she signs up to just better her life,
- 33:38Speaker 6: to serve her community, to serve her country, and she
- 33:42Speaker 6: gets taken out by an enemy of our country, the
- 33:46Speaker 6: most radical element of that. And there's a lot of
- 33:51Speaker 6: news about this, and there's no question that there is
- 33:55Speaker 6: somebody who doesn't like Muslims overall somewhere push a lot
- 34:00Speaker 6: of anti Muslim content, just as over the summer there
- 34:05Speaker 6: was a lot of anti Israeli, anti Jew, anti Semitic
- 34:09Speaker 6: content all over where. You had people from everywhere, right,
- 34:14Speaker 6: people from When I say people from everywhere, I mean
- 34:18Speaker 6: there's good people on both sides.
- 34:20Speaker 3: I am saying that. I am saying that there are
- 34:23Speaker 3: people that.
- 34:25Speaker 6: Are saying the radical element within Islam is a threat,
- 34:31Speaker 6: and there are people saying they don't like all Muslims.
- 34:35Speaker 6: I am saying that there are people that they disagree
- 34:40Speaker 6: with the Israeli government, but they have no problem with
- 34:42Speaker 6: the Jews. And I'm also saying that there are people
- 34:45Speaker 6: that say they disagree with the Israeli government as a
- 34:48Speaker 6: guise for the fact.
- 34:49Speaker 3: That they hate the Jews. And this is a reality,
- 34:55Speaker 3: there's no way about it. There are people that say
- 34:57Speaker 3: they support an immigration reform because they believe that America
- 35:01Speaker 3: needs to have a controlled immigration system. And there are
- 35:03Speaker 3: people that say they hate and they need immigration reform
- 35:08Speaker 3: because they hate the fact that there are other people
- 35:10Speaker 3: in this country that aren't of European descent, that speak
- 35:14Speaker 3: other languages and bring their culture to the table. That's
- 35:17Speaker 3: a reality too.
- 35:18Speaker 6: And I know this having done talk radio and I
- 35:20Speaker 6: get to talk to people all over the place, and
- 35:21Speaker 6: I've had people tell me that you don't think it's
- 35:24Speaker 6: a problem. The fact that there is a browning going
- 35:27Speaker 6: on in America, and it's typically the same type of person.
- 35:32Speaker 6: You know, if I can be so bold and say that,
- 35:35Speaker 6: it's someone that prides themselves on having family that were
- 35:39Speaker 6: on the Mayflower, or someone that has been in this
- 35:41Speaker 6: country for multiple generations and does not speak any other
- 35:46Speaker 6: language and feels like it is inconsistent with their values
- 35:51Speaker 6: that you do speak another language. Right, So the fact
- 35:54Speaker 6: that I was raised to speak English my parents that
- 35:57Speaker 6: spoke Spanish, and then learn to speak Spanish after I
- 36:01Speaker 6: learned to speak English, and then learn to speak Portuguese
- 36:03Speaker 6: after I learned to speak all that this is a
- 36:06Speaker 6: problem for people. They think it's bad, they think it's wrong,
- 36:08Speaker 6: it's somehow an affront to their way of being.
- 36:11Speaker 3: And who am I to say, you know, you're a biggot,
- 36:15Speaker 3: you're this? I mean, I think it is bigoted, but
- 36:18Speaker 3: who am I? Right?
- 36:19Speaker 6: They are well within their right, And that's why you
- 36:22Speaker 6: have people from all these different places, and sometimes the
- 36:27Speaker 6: bigoted people will make comments, and the people who aren't
- 36:30Speaker 6: bigoted but really do care about immigration reform, really do
- 36:33Speaker 6: have a legitimate gripe against the strategy of the IDF
- 36:37Speaker 6: for the Israeli government, or really do like Muslims but
- 36:43Speaker 6: have a problem with radical Islam, will gravitate to these
- 36:47Speaker 6: other people that are out there in fact being the
- 36:51Speaker 6: exact same problem they're describing. And this is why I
- 36:56Speaker 6: can never join any of those camps, because my issue
- 37:00Speaker 6: is if I believe in freedom of religion and free speech,
- 37:03Speaker 6: then I have to really believe in those things. You
- 37:05Speaker 6: have to be free to practice what you like, satan
- 37:09Speaker 6: wickan whatever right, whatever it is. Now, that does not
- 37:14Speaker 6: mean that I don't have the right to say I
- 37:18Speaker 6: am what I am. I believe that my faith is absolute,
- 37:21Speaker 6: and Christianity is a rather absolutist not rather a one
- 37:26Speaker 6: hundred percent absolutist faith, right. I think the First Commandment
- 37:30Speaker 6: says it all, thou shalt have no other gods before me.
- 37:36Speaker 6: That's pretty clear, I'm it. So I'm okay with that,
- 37:40Speaker 6: and I'm sure there are people from other faiths that
- 37:43Speaker 6: have the same beliefs in their faith, and that's why
- 37:47Speaker 6: I believe in the free market, the free market place
- 37:49Speaker 6: of ideas. And thankfully, as my mom would say, to date,
- 37:55Speaker 6: Christianity is still the largest religion in the world. However,
- 38:02Speaker 6: the Muslims are catching up with being the fastest growing.
- 38:07Speaker 6: So it becomes a question of how are you led,
- 38:12Speaker 6: what are you guided by? What is your belief structure.
- 38:15Speaker 3: Do you believe that we need to be competitive for
- 38:17Speaker 3: the sake of I don't want to lose to them,
- 38:19Speaker 3: or do you believe we need to be competitive because
- 38:22Speaker 3: of the sake that we've been called to the great
- 38:23Speaker 3: commission to preach the Gospel to all people in all nations.
- 38:27Speaker 3: And if you hold true to the latter, then great,
- 38:33Speaker 3: do what you gotta do, and God speed my friends.
- 38:36Speaker 3: But I say all that to say because I feel
- 38:39Speaker 3: that there's a lot of noise out there and it's
- 38:41Speaker 3: easy to conflate things in a time like this, But
- 38:44Speaker 3: it doesn't change the fact that you're not allowed to
- 38:46Speaker 3: kill people. It doesn't change the fact that we have
- 38:48Speaker 3: a problem with people that have come from Afghanistan. Right,
- 38:52Speaker 3: that's a reality.
- 38:54Speaker 10: Now.
- 38:54Speaker 6: Someone was arguing with me yesterday at a post Thanksgiving function,
- 38:58Speaker 6: saying no, no, no, listen to me. You can't say
- 39:02Speaker 6: all the Afghans are bad when they were out there
- 39:04Speaker 6: saving you from the tally ban because two people, you
- 39:07Speaker 6: got two bad apples in the bunch. You can't say
- 39:09Speaker 6: they're all bad. And I said, look, I'm not saying
- 39:11Speaker 6: they're all bad. I'm saying we have a problem with
- 39:13Speaker 6: the group that came. Two of those people were problematic.
- 39:18Speaker 6: Therefore we have a problem, and it may be indicative
- 39:21Speaker 6: that we have a further problem. The problem is in
- 39:24Speaker 6: the vetting. The problem was how did we get this
- 39:26Speaker 6: vetting done? And President Trump was asked about that vetting,
- 39:30Speaker 6: and man, he let the media have it on this one.
- 39:34Speaker 3: Check this out.
- 39:35Speaker 9: Your dojig just reported this year that there was thorough
- 39:38Speaker 9: vetting by DHS and by the FBI of these Afghans
- 39:42Speaker 9: who were brought into the US. So why do you
- 39:46Speaker 9: blame the Biden administration for what this man did?
- 39:48Speaker 10: Are you stupid? You're a stupid person because they came
- 39:52Speaker 10: into on a plane along with thousands of other people
- 39:56Speaker 10: that shouldn't be here, and you're just asking questions because
- 39:59Speaker 10: you're a stupid person. And there's a law passed that
- 40:03Speaker 10: it's almost impossible not to get them out. You can't
- 40:06Speaker 10: get them out once they come in. And they came
- 40:08Speaker 10: in and they were unvetted, they were unchecked. There were
- 40:11Speaker 10: many of them, and they came in on big planes
- 40:14Speaker 10: and it was disgraceful. And if you look, you'll see
- 40:18Speaker 10: there was a law pass. It makes it almost impossible
- 40:21Speaker 10: not to let them in, not to certify them, so
- 40:24Speaker 10: to speak, once they come in, and they came in,
- 40:27Speaker 10: and they shouldn't have come in, and frankly, the whole
- 40:30Speaker 10: thing was a mess. The whole Afghanistan situation was a mess.
- 40:33Speaker 10: We shouldn't it should have never taken place.
- 40:36Speaker 6: And of course people's temperatures are very high over this.
- 40:39Speaker 6: This is a horrible thing that's going on in America.
- 40:42Speaker 6: People have long been very skeptical about allowing people from
- 40:48Speaker 6: other countries into the United States. This mass asylum seeking
- 40:55Speaker 6: scam that the Biden people put together were they pretty
- 40:59Speaker 6: much convinced most Americans to think, listen, you are a
- 41:01Speaker 6: bad and evil individual if you don't allow more immigrants
- 41:04Speaker 6: into this country. This is a nation of immigrants. You
- 41:07Speaker 6: yourself come some way, somehow from somebody that was an
- 41:11Speaker 6: immigrant in this country. How dare you be a zenfob
- 41:14Speaker 6: and a bigot and not want people to come here. Now, this,
- 41:17Speaker 6: of course, is a disingenuous argument, because we're not saying
- 41:20Speaker 6: that we don't want people to come to this country.
- 41:22Speaker 6: We're not saying that the country is browning like some
- 41:25Speaker 6: have told me. Now, what we're saying is we have
- 41:28Speaker 6: to pause this. We have to make sure that we're
- 41:31Speaker 6: allowing people in that are going to help the country. Why,
- 41:33Speaker 6: because we're at capacity.
- 41:35Speaker 3: This isn't you know when we were building the railroads
- 41:37Speaker 3: and there was a need for a lot of people
- 41:40Speaker 3: and we needed all sorts of help.
- 41:42Speaker 6: We have the infrastructure in place. Now there may be
- 41:44Speaker 6: a need for more infrastructure. And that's why you look
- 41:47Speaker 6: there's all this AI. You think they're not gonna continue
- 41:49Speaker 6: bringing in people from other places?
- 41:51Speaker 3: Sure they are. Are they going to slow down on
- 41:53Speaker 3: the H one B stuff because one country seems to
- 41:55Speaker 3: have a hold on H one b's being India in particular.
- 41:59Speaker 6: Yeah, there might be a whole done that. These are
- 42:01Speaker 6: policy issues that you're going to work through.
- 42:03Speaker 3: But this is not a.
- 42:05Speaker 11: Right.
- 42:06Speaker 6: Nobody has a right to come to any country. I
- 42:08Speaker 6: don't have a right to visit Columbia. I don't have
- 42:10Speaker 6: a right to visit the Dominican Republic. I don't have
- 42:12Speaker 6: any rights. I can go there and ask if I
- 42:15Speaker 6: can get a visa to go there for tourism. Super
- 42:18Speaker 6: I have a right to live my life, but it
- 42:20Speaker 6: doesn't mean I have a right to what's yours.
- 42:22Speaker 3: Right.
- 42:22Speaker 6: I don't have a right to be in your country's borders,
- 42:24Speaker 6: nor does anybody else have a right to be here.
- 42:26Speaker 6: And we've heard, you know, Tom Holman's been on my
- 42:28Speaker 6: program many times talking about how if you're seeking asylum,
- 42:32Speaker 6: you go to the first safe country, not the one
- 42:34Speaker 6: of your choice. That's how the law works. So if
- 42:37Speaker 6: you're in Honduras and crossing in Costa Rica and Nicaragua
- 42:42Speaker 6: and a bunch of other places on your way to
- 42:44Speaker 6: the United States, you're not following the asylum law. So
- 42:49Speaker 6: we have to be fair and call it what it is. Now,
- 42:52Speaker 6: in a situation like this, you've got people that have
- 42:55Speaker 6: associations to organizations that hate America. I don't think that's unfair.
- 43:03Speaker 6: I think that's a fair statement. Right now, the Iranians
- 43:07Speaker 6: have embraced the mantra Death to America, shouting it and
- 43:11Speaker 6: chanting it. When they open their sessions of parliament the
- 43:14Speaker 6: way we do a prayer to open Congress. That's norm
- 43:20Speaker 6: for them. So if that's the norm for them. And
- 43:23Speaker 6: we have people that may subscribe to some of those ideologies,
- 43:27Speaker 6: which in this country we call terrorist sympathies, right, some
- 43:32Speaker 6: might want to call them antagonistic towards America, whatever you
- 43:35Speaker 6: want to call it. The United States is within its
- 43:38Speaker 6: rights to not allow people that don't like the United
- 43:41Speaker 6: States to enter the country.
- 43:43Speaker 3: That's fair.
- 43:44Speaker 6: You can call it fascistic, you can call it dictatorial
- 43:47Speaker 6: or autocratic, you can call it whatever you like. But
- 43:49Speaker 6: that's within our law. And you have the same thing
- 43:54Speaker 6: in your business, You have the same thing in your home.
- 43:57Speaker 6: You don't want to let somebody in, don't let them in.
- 44:01Speaker 6: Because the country has a right to protect itself, the
- 44:05Speaker 6: country has a right to promote its own national interest.
- 44:10Speaker 6: That's just a matter of fact as well as a
- 44:12Speaker 6: matter of law. So I bring that up to say that,
- 44:17Speaker 6: of course, there are going to be people in the
- 44:19Speaker 6: media that are going to come to the immediate defense,
- 44:22Speaker 6: just like they did for Kilmaro Brigo Garcia, right, the
- 44:24Speaker 6: human trafficking, wife beating illegal alien that was deported to
- 44:31Speaker 6: El Salvador and then came back amidst all a whirlwind
- 44:34Speaker 6: of Democrat Congress people going there standing up for him,
- 44:38Speaker 6: a guy who was entitled to do process, but not
- 44:40Speaker 6: the same rights as every other American.
- 44:44Speaker 3: And I thought that was a joke. I thought it
- 44:45Speaker 3: was a travesty.
- 44:46Speaker 6: And look, I could even look the other way for
- 44:48Speaker 6: those who are just you know, civil liberties purists that
- 44:52Speaker 6: just see things differently than me, and I will concede
- 44:57Speaker 6: to saying maybe we just don't see eye to eye
- 45:01Speaker 6: on this issue. I think they're misunderstanding the law and
- 45:04Speaker 6: they probably think the same of me. But when it
- 45:07Speaker 6: comes to people that want to walk around your country
- 45:09Speaker 6: and shoot people dead, a young woman and a young man,
- 45:13Speaker 6: there has to be a line drawn. There should be
- 45:15Speaker 6: nobody on the other side of this argument. Nobody, nobody
- 45:19Speaker 6: should be arguing for why we shouldn't have a review
- 45:22Speaker 6: of anybody that came in of this Afghan policy. I
- 45:25Speaker 6: don't know what that review looks like. And moving forward,
- 45:30Speaker 6: we should completely seal our borders period. I think there
- 45:35Speaker 6: should be zero immigration moving forward until we figure things out.
- 45:39Speaker 6: You're Canadian, sorry, can't come today. You're Fromidably, Sorry you
- 45:43Speaker 6: can't come today. You're from Persia, Sorry, can't come today, right,
- 45:46Speaker 6: the region once known as Persia. Whatever I think? Right now,
- 45:49Speaker 6: we need a pause, right, a moratorium on immigration. Now
- 45:54Speaker 6: will that affect our economy? Yes, but you have to
- 45:56Speaker 6: identify hotspots in the world where people are coming and
- 46:00Speaker 6: causing harm. Now, of course my critics are going to say,
- 46:03Speaker 6: what about all the white people that are committing crime
- 46:05Speaker 6: that are born in America? Yes, what about them? We
- 46:08Speaker 6: have a system for that too. It's called jail. Right,
- 46:10Speaker 6: what you guys like to call mass incarceration. Let's mass
- 46:13Speaker 6: incarcerate all of the American born citizens that violate law.
- 46:18Speaker 6: Let's not let them go like Alvin braglights to do
- 46:21Speaker 6: downgrading sixty percent of the crimes committed in New York City.
- 46:26Speaker 6: Let's stop with these prosecutors that are trying to legislate
- 46:31Speaker 6: from their office by not prosecuting crime.
- 46:34Speaker 3: Let's prosecute the crime.
- 46:36Speaker 6: Stop with the pro crime, progressive stuff that just collllles
- 46:41Speaker 6: criminals and creates more madness chaos. I say, that's how
- 46:45Speaker 6: we handle that. But let's put a pause on this
- 46:48Speaker 6: so that we end some of this madness. Just like
- 46:51Speaker 6: President Trump put a cabash at the border.
- 46:54Speaker 3: Good for that too.
- 46:56Speaker 6: These are the things that have to happen. These are
- 46:58Speaker 6: the things that are necessary in order for us to
- 47:00Speaker 6: do well. Otherwise we're going to keep running into situations
- 47:02Speaker 6: like this one. Check out this alert that just came out.
- 47:10Speaker 12: You have a Fox News alert from Brook Taylor. You
- 47:12Speaker 12: won't believe this. DHS is confirming that an Afghan national
- 47:17Speaker 12: was arrested Tuesday after posting a video of himself on
- 47:21Speaker 12: TikTok indicating he was building a bomb with an intended
- 47:25Speaker 12: target of the Fort Worth area. Mohammed dahwood alo Kazi
- 47:31Speaker 12: is charged at the state level with making a terroristic threat.
- 47:34Speaker 12: According to DHS, listen to this. He came to the
- 47:37Speaker 12: United States as part of Operation Allies Welcome. So here
- 47:42Speaker 12: you have it. This happened tuesday, Texas Department of Public Safety.
- 47:46Speaker 12: This is a second Afghan national, second one this week
- 47:50Speaker 12: Operation Allies Welcome. He had a terror plot. We know
- 47:55Speaker 12: comes the same week that that deranged individual, that alleged
- 47:58Speaker 12: assassin took out two of our heroic National Guard came
- 48:02Speaker 12: here on the same program Operation Allies Welcome, a program
- 48:07Speaker 12: that we were assured time and time again by my orchist,
- 48:10Speaker 12: by Jensaki, by Joe Biden himself was safe and secure.
- 48:14Speaker 12: But here we have a second data point in one
- 48:17Speaker 12: week that it was not safe, it was not secure,
- 48:20Speaker 12: and we've got to look very hard at this program.
- 48:22Speaker 12: As President Trump is vowing to make change.
- 48:25Speaker 3: That's one hundred percent right.
- 48:27Speaker 6: And again, I was at a gathering with my Cuban friend, Ruben,
- 48:32Speaker 6: the Cuban who came from Havana to Key West on
- 48:37Speaker 6: a jet ski to come for the American Dream and
- 48:41Speaker 6: somebody I have a lot of care for. I respect
- 48:44Speaker 6: the lives as a good friend, got a lot of
- 48:46Speaker 6: love for the guy. And I'll tell you I don't
- 48:49Speaker 6: agree with him politically on anything, but whenever I see him,
- 48:52Speaker 6: we always get into things. And he's telling me, listen,
- 48:55Speaker 6: these are your allies. These are people that helped and
- 48:58Speaker 6: now you want to turn your back and kick them
- 48:59Speaker 6: all all the country.
- 49:00Speaker 3: I mean, how do you do that?
- 49:01Speaker 6: And he believes everything he's told, And I guess that's
- 49:05Speaker 6: part of my downfall, if you will, is that I
- 49:08Speaker 6: don't believe everything I'm told.
- 49:11Speaker 3: So if you tell me that.
- 49:12Speaker 6: Operation Allies Welcome or whatever the name of the program,
- 49:15Speaker 6: that Kaylee Mcanane just mentioned whatever that was. I'll say this,
- 49:20Speaker 6: it's a bunch of lies. It's just like saying we're
- 49:23Speaker 6: helping asylum seekers at the border. They weren't seeking asylum.
- 49:27Speaker 6: We were shoveling people into our country. Human smuggling, human trafficking, endorsed,
- 49:33Speaker 6: aided and embedded by the Biden administration. That's what happened,
- 49:39Speaker 6: point blank. Joe Biden was a new capo in the
- 49:42Speaker 6: cartel's human smuggling operation. Hands down. That's how I see it.
- 49:47Speaker 6: Proved me wrong, right, that's the only way to look
- 49:49Speaker 6: at this. And just because you have official statements from
- 49:53Speaker 6: the government, from this and from that, people just lying,
- 49:56Speaker 6: lying and more lying. Now, this is a difficult position
- 50:01Speaker 6: to defend because when I say something that people are
- 50:04Speaker 6: going to say, well, they're going to make the same claim. Well,
- 50:06Speaker 6: Trump is a liar, Trump's a fascist. He's just saying
- 50:09Speaker 6: this and that, but he's really doing this. But I
- 50:11Speaker 6: feel like there's a difference. When I make a statement
- 50:14Speaker 6: like the one I made, I have the proof, right
- 50:16Speaker 6: at least I can say I can support my statement
- 50:18Speaker 6: by saying, was there not twelve million excuse me, twelve
- 50:24Speaker 6: million new human beings that entered this country by way
- 50:28Speaker 6: of the southern border that did not live here before.
- 50:32Speaker 3: That's a fact.
- 50:34Speaker 6: Was that not sanctioned by our government? And have we
- 50:38Speaker 6: not I'm going to use the words systemically now seen
- 50:42Speaker 6: that these were children that were brought here without parents,
- 50:45Speaker 6: but came with a man or a woman that look
- 50:47Speaker 6: like their parents. Are we not seeing twelve year old
- 50:50Speaker 6: fourteen year old boys working in factories overnight where their
- 50:53Speaker 6: hands are getting caught in chicken machines, mechanical chicken separators
- 50:57Speaker 6: and they're losing their fingers. Young girls being sold into
- 51:00Speaker 6: sex slavery that are being now rescued through operations like
- 51:03Speaker 6: the ones that cash but telling Dan Bongino are spearheading
- 51:06Speaker 6: to rescue these kids. Do we not hear about Tom
- 51:08Speaker 6: Holman talking about tracking down three hundred thousand missing unaccompanied minors. Now,
- 51:15Speaker 6: when you say fascist, fascist, fascist?
- 51:16Speaker 3: Trump? Is this Trump?
- 51:17Speaker 10: Is that?
- 51:17Speaker 6: Trump's where's the proof? What has Trump done? He's a
- 51:22Speaker 6: felon with thirty four counts?
- 51:23Speaker 11: All right?
- 51:23Speaker 3: What has he done with his fascistic tendencies? What has
- 51:27Speaker 3: he done? He's going after his political enemies. Who's he
- 51:30Speaker 3: going after? Letitia James and James call me whose cases
- 51:34Speaker 3: both got dismissed. He's the worst fascist in history.
- 51:38Speaker 6: He lets Mamdani into the White House, he lets the
- 51:41Speaker 6: media talk bad about him, and never seen a fascist
- 51:44Speaker 6: like this. These are baseless claims. There is no root
- 51:50Speaker 6: in reality. You could say it all you want, You
- 51:54Speaker 6: could try to paint the picture. It's always, Oh, he's
- 51:55Speaker 6: about to, He's about to. They try to build the hype.
- 51:58Speaker 6: The shoe never lands, the shoe never drops. Sadly for them,
- 52:05Speaker 6: Trump is not imprisoning Americans, right, And when an American
- 52:09Speaker 6: is arrested by ICE, it's because they use their vehicle
- 52:11Speaker 6: to ram an ICE vehicle to impede the apprehension of
- 52:16Speaker 6: an illegal alien. But they leave that part out when
- 52:19Speaker 6: they say now Ice is arresting American citizens. Ice is
- 52:23Speaker 6: gonna arrest whoever gets in the way. Don't get in
- 52:25Speaker 6: the way. We all know right from wrong. We've got
- 52:30Speaker 6: to be real careful with how the media portrays things,
- 52:33Speaker 6: the manipulation of truth, the misrepresentation of facts, because anything
- 52:43Speaker 6: that gets people to act overly emotionally and is devoid
- 52:48Speaker 6: of logic is a threat and a danger to what
- 52:52Speaker 6: we do. They use our good intentions against us every
- 52:57Speaker 6: single day. Consider yourselves warned, and don't go anywhere. Keep
- 53:01Speaker 6: it locked right here on RICHALDESK.
- 53:03Speaker 5: This is America, This is America.
- 53:14Speaker 4: He's making podcasting great again.
- 53:16Speaker 5: This is America with Rich Valdez.
- 53:21Speaker 6: All right on egos. Welcome back Thanksgiving weekend. Happy to
- 53:25Speaker 6: be back with you guys, and so much I want
- 53:27Speaker 6: to get into. I am going to do another hour
- 53:29Speaker 6: right after this, but it won't post immediately.
- 53:32Speaker 3: Because I've got to get to the studio. This is
- 53:34Speaker 3: Max TV.
- 53:35Speaker 6: Make sure you check me out on news Max TV
- 53:37Speaker 6: this Sunday. I'll be on with Lydia Sarana talking about
- 53:39Speaker 6: all the biggest headlines. But something that I want to
- 53:41Speaker 6: get into before I did part was this really good
- 53:44Speaker 6: human interest story that I thought was fascinating.
- 53:46Speaker 3: Honestly, we're going to add a phone line to this
- 53:49Speaker 3: so that I can get you guys to weigh in,
- 53:50Speaker 3: and I'll tell you exactly what time we'll be doing
- 53:53Speaker 3: this so that you can call because really, it truly
- 53:55Speaker 3: is a A something I miss and b something that
- 54:00Speaker 3: you really need to give me your input on. And
- 54:01Speaker 3: of course you can do it digitally.
- 54:03Speaker 6: You can weigh in at Rich feldesk dot com on
- 54:05Speaker 6: any of my socials, drop a comment just at me
- 54:08Speaker 6: and tag me so that I can get your response.
- 54:11Speaker 6: But listen to this and I'll post the article as
- 54:13Speaker 6: well so that you can see it and maybe put
- 54:15Speaker 6: your comments beneath it. But this is something that I
- 54:18Speaker 6: found interesting. There's two of them, and I'm going to
- 54:21Speaker 6: try and combine them here because I thought they were
- 54:23Speaker 6: kind of appropriate with the Thanksgiving we just had as
- 54:26Speaker 6: well as the Christmas that we're about to have. Right,
- 54:31Speaker 6: so they're separate stories. But this one here is an
- 54:34Speaker 6: interesting This interesting one. This woman lets her cousin crash
- 54:38Speaker 6: at her apartment, then comes home to find furniture completely rearranged.
- 54:43Speaker 6: Right here are the facts that twenty three year old
- 54:45Speaker 6: woman living alone recently let her twenty six year old
- 54:48Speaker 6: cousin crash at her place. At first, everything seemed to
- 54:50Speaker 6: be going well, especially with her cousin helping clean around
- 54:53Speaker 6: the apartment, But one day she was shocked by how
- 54:57Speaker 6: far her cousin went to organize her home. When someone
- 55:00Speaker 6: offers a relative a temporary place to stay, they usually
- 55:03Speaker 6: expect a little disruption, but not to complete some sort
- 55:08Speaker 6: of makeover of their home. Now that's what happened here,
- 55:12Speaker 6: and she didn't anticipate this. She asked her twenty six
- 55:16Speaker 6: year old cousin asked to stay at her house, and
- 55:20Speaker 6: after a few days she was already posting on Reddit
- 55:23Speaker 6: what was going on. At first, the arrangement felt like
- 55:25Speaker 6: a manageable, even pleasant situation, as the cousin helped with
- 55:29Speaker 6: groceries straightened up around the house. She was genuinely grateful,
- 55:33Speaker 6: But after a few days she said things changed, and
- 55:36Speaker 6: she was saying not just the cleaning, but also moving things,
- 55:39Speaker 6: beginning with the bathroom cabinet, the spice rack, eventually the bookshelves.
- 55:43Speaker 6: The situation then escalated when the girl, the host, not
- 55:49Speaker 6: the twenty six year old visitor, returned home from work
- 55:53Speaker 6: to find the entire living room was rearranged. The couch
- 55:56Speaker 6: had been moved, the desk was relocated, and several decorations
- 55:59Speaker 6: had been tucked away because the cousin felt they made
- 56:02Speaker 6: the space too cluttered. She appeared very proud of the changes,
- 56:06Speaker 6: presenting them as an improvement rather than an intrusion. When
- 56:09Speaker 6: the poster simply said, the poster is the person posting
- 56:11Speaker 6: on Reddit. So the twenty three year old whose apartment
- 56:14Speaker 6: it is, She said, oh, you move stuff around. The
- 56:17Speaker 6: cousin became defensive and insisted that she thought the redesign
- 56:20Speaker 6: made the apartment look more put together.
- 56:22Speaker 3: I ain't. That's something I told her.
- 56:24Speaker 6: I actually preferred things the way they were, and that
- 56:27Speaker 6: I would have appreciated if she would have just asked first.
- 56:31Speaker 6: Now she's been very quiet and very petty, staying in
- 56:34Speaker 6: her room with the door half shut. She said, I've
- 56:37Speaker 6: spent my evening putting my place back together because it
- 56:39Speaker 6: doesn't even feel like my apartment anymore. In the aftermath,
- 56:43Speaker 6: she questioned whether she had overreacted, wondering if stress had
- 56:47Speaker 6: pushed her cousin into overstepping or if she was herself
- 56:50Speaker 6: being overly sensitive. And maybe both of those are true,
- 56:53Speaker 6: but it doesn't move the line on right and wrong right.
- 56:57Speaker 6: And this is interesting because I've never been in this situation.
- 57:00Speaker 6: But I will tell you one time I went to.
- 57:04Speaker 3: Where did I go? I visited a friend and they
- 57:06Speaker 3: had little kids and my kids were a little bigger.
- 57:08Speaker 3: But we went. We had a good time, beautiful people.
- 57:11Speaker 6: But you know, when you have little kids, life is
- 57:12Speaker 6: very hectic and very busy, right, And I remember he
- 57:16Speaker 6: was an incredible host, you know, staying in a different stay.
- 57:20Speaker 6: We're there for a while visiting with them, but they
- 57:21Speaker 6: had their own busy lives and he was like, take
- 57:23Speaker 6: my car.
- 57:24Speaker 3: Do what you got to do. And I did.
- 57:25Speaker 6: And it was a big family car, and I love
- 57:27Speaker 6: the fact that I had a car to move around in.
- 57:29Speaker 6: But I noticed, you know, like many cars when you
- 57:31Speaker 6: have little kids, you know, there was a few crumbs
- 57:34Speaker 6: on the floor, a couple of rappers for this and that.
- 57:36Speaker 6: So you know, I said, you know what I'm doing,
- 57:37Speaker 6: I'm gonna wa wash this car.
- 57:38Speaker 3: It took it.
- 57:39Speaker 6: I got a great car wash for the guy, and
- 57:40Speaker 6: he was actually very appreciative of that. And I felt
- 57:42Speaker 6: good because I'm like a car wash crazy, right. If
- 57:45Speaker 6: I don't watch my car at minimum every seven days,
- 57:48Speaker 6: I freak out.
- 57:49Speaker 3: I literally do. So I I realized that, Okay, I
- 57:53Speaker 3: did something good. Plus I think most people, if.
- 57:55Speaker 6: You watch their car, they are most people they're gonna
- 57:58Speaker 6: appreciate it because a lot of people don't have time
- 57:59Speaker 6: for that.
- 58:00Speaker 3: They're just like, oh, I'm too busy, I don't have time.
- 58:02Speaker 6: And I really went above and beyond, you know, I
- 58:03Speaker 6: did all the detailing myself in side, getting all the crevices.
- 58:06Speaker 6: Really went in with the vacuum after the car wash
- 58:09Speaker 6: guys did, so I think he was happy with that.
- 58:12Speaker 3: Then I don't know. I did something. I was like,
- 58:14Speaker 3: I put it in the sink. He's like, no, but
- 58:15Speaker 3: just put it in the dishwasher. And I put in
- 58:17Speaker 3: the dishwasher. And I realized that the dishwasher was not
- 58:19Speaker 3: only full, but it needed a little, a little uh,
- 58:24Speaker 3: you know, a little cleaning of its own. So I
- 58:27Speaker 3: was like, do you mind if I do that? He
- 58:28Speaker 3: was like, oh, knock yourself out. So I did, and
- 58:30Speaker 3: I did a deep clean on the dishwasher, and I
- 58:33Speaker 3: remember his wife was saying, oh, my goodness, we should
- 58:35Speaker 3: have you over more often. And they were very appreciative.
- 58:37Speaker 6: And the whole time I was doing it, I was like, man,
- 58:38Speaker 6: I hope they don't get offended that, you know, I'm
- 58:40Speaker 6: a visitor here and I'm cleaning this up.
- 58:41Speaker 3: But the point was they took it well.
- 58:43Speaker 6: They're wonderful people, and they also knew they were busy
- 58:46Speaker 6: and that, you know, their lives are busy with the
- 58:48Speaker 6: with their small children.
- 58:48Speaker 3: And this is many years ago, and I was, you know.
- 58:51Speaker 6: Incredibly grateful for their hospitality opening their home to me
- 58:54Speaker 6: and to my children so we could enjoyed this nice
- 58:56Speaker 6: visit with them. So I say that to say, that
- 58:59Speaker 6: was the only time I done anything like that. And
- 59:01Speaker 6: I'm not typically like that, you know, I'm not.
- 59:03Speaker 3: I don't. I don't deep clean my own dishwasher.
- 59:06Speaker 6: It's just I felt like I had made a mess
- 59:08Speaker 6: sort of, you know, and I was like, I want
- 59:10Speaker 6: to make sure it's clean, and it looked like it
- 59:11Speaker 6: needed more cleaning than I was able to afford it.
- 59:13Speaker 6: So I said, let me get in here and really
- 59:14Speaker 6: get into the nitty gritty. So that's as close as
- 59:17Speaker 6: I've ever gotten. But how close have you gotten? And
- 59:21Speaker 6: is this right or wrong? Is it okay to help
- 59:24Speaker 6: somebody if you see things disheveled, and you know how
- 59:29Speaker 6: much of it is appreciated. If there's like a few
- 59:31Speaker 6: blankets that are messed up, you fold them, you put
- 59:33Speaker 6: them on the couch or something. All right, a couple
- 59:35Speaker 6: of throw blankets are now neatened up, that might be acceptable.
- 59:38Speaker 6: But when it goes to redoing the spice rack or
- 59:42Speaker 6: you know, maybe that's also acceptable, right, Like, oh my gosh,
- 59:46Speaker 6: I made I made I thought I made a mess
- 59:48Speaker 6: when I was making lunch. But you got to say something, right,
- 59:50Speaker 6: You got to say, hey, look, I wasn't sure where
- 59:52Speaker 6: you put your oregonos.
- 59:53Speaker 3: I kind of did it like this.
- 59:54Speaker 6: I'm not sure if you had a system and I
- 59:55Speaker 6: messed it up, but this is how I did it.
- 59:56Speaker 6: And they might go, oh my gosh, that's beautiful.
- 59:58Speaker 3: I love it. Thanks for doing that the way you did.
- 1:00:00Speaker 6: But when it comes to moving the couch, moving the
- 1:00:02Speaker 6: desk and putting decorations away, you gotta be out of
- 1:00:05Speaker 6: your mind. I think that's insanity.
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: So I believe that.
- 1:00:10Speaker 6: You know, when in Rome, you do as the Romans do.
- 1:00:12Speaker 6: You have to respect people's customs as best you can.
- 1:00:15Speaker 6: Right in Puerto Rico, for Christmas, people drink coquito and
- 1:00:21Speaker 6: take to the streets right after midnight Mass and they
- 1:00:24Speaker 6: sing and they dance. It's called a paranda, right. They
- 1:00:27Speaker 6: bring their instruments, they sing, they go from house to
- 1:00:29Speaker 6: house picking.
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: Up more people.
- 1:00:31Speaker 6: It's a caravan of people singing and dancing, very jolly,
- 1:00:34Speaker 6: celebrating the birth of Christ. And I think it's a
- 1:00:37Speaker 6: beautiful tradition, one that I'm always wanting to go to.
- 1:00:41Speaker 6: Puerto Rico to participate in during Christmas time, one that
- 1:00:45Speaker 6: I know, if it happened right here where I live now,
- 1:00:48Speaker 6: may not go over so well. Not everybody, I think
- 1:00:50Speaker 6: in the East Coast of the United States is waiting
- 1:00:54Speaker 6: for a neighbor, maybe even a new neighbor that you've
- 1:00:56Speaker 6: never even met before, to knock on your door with
- 1:00:59Speaker 6: some moroccas and something males or you know, some tambourines
- 1:01:03Speaker 6: and say, hey, let's send Christmas carols and bring out
- 1:01:05Speaker 6: the rest of the neighbors and make a little Christmas
- 1:01:07Speaker 6: parade out here right A because it's cold, and b
- 1:01:10Speaker 6: because not everybody does midnight Mass and has a Noche
- 1:01:13Speaker 6: Buena celebration like the Puerto Ricans do. So I understand
- 1:01:17Speaker 6: those cultural differences, but you know, rest assured there's always
- 1:01:21Speaker 6: a celebration in my house or wherever I'm at, So
- 1:01:25Speaker 6: I always try to keep those things in mind. But
- 1:01:27Speaker 6: I'm wondering how this is going to end up for
- 1:01:30Speaker 6: these people. You know, this girl, apparently her cousin's now
- 1:01:32Speaker 6: mad at her because she tried to clean the place up,
- 1:01:34Speaker 6: trying to you know, I think they're both in their
- 1:01:39Speaker 6: right to feel how they feel, even though the visitors
- 1:01:42Speaker 6: should be like, hey, look, I'm a guest here and
- 1:01:44Speaker 6: I should act like a guest. But I think she's
- 1:01:46Speaker 6: in her head. She's twenty six, and she's thinking I
- 1:01:49Speaker 6: was just trying to help. And oftentimes I think these
- 1:01:51Speaker 6: things are misunderstood, but very very fascinating to me human behavior.
- 1:01:55Speaker 6: Probably gonna have to call my buddy, doctor Vince Callahan
- 1:01:57Speaker 6: in to see what he says about this. We're going
- 1:02:00Speaker 6: to be continuing our programming this week. We're adding some
- 1:02:03Speaker 6: guests to the equation and we're also going to add
- 1:02:07Speaker 6: another hour to the program as well.
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: That's coming up this week as well.
- 1:02:11Speaker 6: I just wanted to drop in here this Thanksgiving weekend
- 1:02:14Speaker 6: and say hello and to thank you again for tuning in.
- 1:02:17Speaker 6: There is more to come straight ahead, the lots that
- 1:02:20Speaker 6: we're going to be unfolding and discussing in the episodes
- 1:02:23Speaker 6: to come.
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: So of course, do not go anywhere, keep it locked
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: right here. I am Rich Valdez, and I always say this,
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: if you stand for nothing, you're going to fall for anything.
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: So make sure you stand for something and a start aproxima,
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: take care, good night, and God bless you America. I'm
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: Rich Valdez and this is America, this is America.
