- 0:01Speaker 1: Jerry, Katie, and Josh.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Fix 100.
- 0:03Speaker 3: We're all pretty stoked to take a look at all
- 0:06Speaker 3: of Katie's food pictures on.
- 0:08Speaker 4: Her phone from this weekend. That's always a good time
- 0:11Speaker 4: for us. She had lobster.
- 0:13Speaker 5: I know.
- 0:13Speaker 3: That's a lot of fun when we come in on Monday.
- 0:15Speaker 3: There's a lot of good eating to.
- 0:17Speaker 6: Be had this weekend.
- 0:18Speaker 5: I'm telling you. I celebrate fried chicken Saturday at Safe
- 0:21Speaker 5: Point every week, even though it's not. I just totally
- 0:24Speaker 5: made that up, but I celebrate. Yeah, there's a lot
- 0:27Speaker 5: of good food.
- 0:28Speaker 3: Yeah, I love looking at all your food picks when
- 0:30Speaker 3: you come in on Monday. I can't get enough of it.
- 0:32Speaker 7: I do it.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Like, Sunday night, I'm laying in bed. I'm like, oh,
- 0:34Speaker 3: I can't wait to see all Katie's food picks.
- 0:36Speaker 5: I prepare them in order so I know I'm ready
- 0:39Speaker 5: to go. You know, when I come in, I'm like, look, okay,
- 0:41Speaker 5: so this was Friday.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Uh-huh.
- 0:43Speaker 2: It's chronological.
- 0:44Speaker 5: Saturday, Sunday morning, last night.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 0:48Speaker 6: So I'm ready to show you each.
- 0:50Speaker 4: Big old oily turds out of this one.
- 0:52Speaker 2: All right, so.
- 0:53Speaker 3: I got to ask you guys, how did you feel
- 0:55Speaker 3: about wine time on Friday night? I had a blast.
- 0:57Speaker 6: It was fun. It was so much fun.
- 0:59Speaker 3: A lot of great listeners out there and a lot
- 1:01Speaker 3: of listeners that probably shouldn't come to events anymore.
- 1:04Speaker 2: We'll just throw that out there.
- 1:05Speaker 3: But some really, really good people.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:08Speaker 3: Some big fans of the radio station and this morning show.
- 1:12Speaker 4: So we can't thank you guys enough.
- 1:13Speaker 5: Yeah. There were a lot of people coming out to
- 1:15Speaker 5: say hi. It was great to see you all. You
- 1:17Speaker 5: got your drink on. And that was the perfect place
- 1:20Speaker 5: to do it at Elitch Gardens. I can't tell you
- 1:23Speaker 5: how many people came to me and said, it was
- 1:25Speaker 5: a great idea to have that Ferris wheel going. That
- 1:28Speaker 5: was like their favorite part is going and drinking their
- 1:30Speaker 5: wine in the Ferris wheel. And it's just like you
- 1:34Speaker 5: get to.
- 1:34Speaker 6: See all of Denver. I tried to get you two
- 1:37Speaker 6: to go up there.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I wasn't going to do it. I wasn't feeling it.
- 1:40Speaker 2: It was funny.
- 1:40Speaker 3: You could tell how many people had a little too
- 1:43Speaker 3: much wine because they were standing there just staring at
- 1:45Speaker 3: the Ferris wheel, mouth breathing, watching it go around and around.
- 1:48Speaker 2: I was like, oh, we better.
- 1:49Speaker 4: We better cut them off.
- 1:50Speaker 2: A little bit.
- 1:51Speaker 6: Maybe your last glass.
- 1:53Speaker 3: I was talking to our big boss, Joel, at the
- 1:55Speaker 3: end of it. And we were talking about the setting
- 1:57Speaker 3: and everything. And I was like, you could not get
- 2:00Speaker 3: a better picturesque setting than there. After the sun went down,
- 2:05Speaker 3: all the lights were on on Main Street. And we
- 2:07Speaker 3: had the DJ set up in front of the Ferris wheel.
- 2:09Speaker 3: And it was going with all the lights. And everyone
- 2:11Speaker 3: was dancing.
- 2:12Speaker 4: It was really nice.
- 2:13Speaker 6: It was amazing.
- 2:14Speaker 4: And he goes, well, get ready because we're doing it
- 2:16Speaker 4: again next year.
- 2:16Speaker 5: Well, we better. I mean, everybody loved it. Everyone I
- 2:20Speaker 5: talked to said it was a great idea. So, yeah,
- 2:23Speaker 5: props to the big man, Joel, because I know a
- 2:25Speaker 5: big part of it was his. So, yeah, it was fun.
- 2:28Speaker 5: It was so much fun.
- 2:29Speaker 3: The 360 camera was fun. All of us tried to
- 2:31Speaker 3: get onto it. It was Josh, Katie, Nina, Synergy, Big Rob,
- 2:37Speaker 3: and then I tried to hop on at the last
- 2:38Speaker 3: moment to get one of those shots of all of us,
- 2:41Speaker 3: and Rob's big old butt shoved me off.
- 2:43Speaker 6: No, to be completely fair, I was in front of.
- 2:46Speaker 5: Him shaking my big old booty like there was no tomorrow.
- 2:49Speaker 4: Booty to booty, and then boom, Jeremy got bounced off.
- 2:52Speaker 5: I think you were just the, yeah.
- 2:54Speaker 2: I think you got one revolution, and then it looked
- 2:56Speaker 2: like you vanished.
- 2:57Speaker 3: It's funny, if you watch the video on the Instas,
- 3:00Speaker 3: there's like, I think I made it through two spins,
- 3:03Speaker 3: and you see me go, Nina was like holding me back,
- 3:06Speaker 3: and Rob finally gave me that final bounce, and Afterwards,
- 3:10Speaker 3: he came up and apologized.
- 3:11Speaker 2: He's like, I'm really sorry I bounced you off. He's like,
- 3:13Speaker 2: I'm fluffy. I'm sorry. It's all right.
- 3:15Speaker 4: I was on there for two spins.
- 3:17Speaker 3: And then the only other observation was we saw Baby Na.
- 3:21Speaker 5: Ah, that Baby Na. And her boyfriend.
- 3:23Speaker 4: Who was fashionably late.
- 3:25Speaker 6: Well, you know, she had to work.
- 3:27Speaker 5: Like, that's the thing. She didn't even get off until
- 3:29Speaker 5: 6 o'clock.
- 3:29Speaker 2: So late.
- 3:30Speaker 5: So then she worked in Boulder. So she was working.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Yeah, her boyfriend was there, too.
- 3:35Speaker 6: I like to call him Mr. T.
- 3:36Speaker 5: Isn't that funny?
- 3:37Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 3:38Speaker 2: I thought he was a hobo at first.
- 3:39Speaker 6: And Mr. T. No, that's the style, Jeremy.
- 3:41Speaker 2: That guy's got to get a haircut.
- 3:42Speaker 6: That's the style. But no, I love to see them.
- 3:45Speaker 5: They were great. They had a great time as well.
- 3:48Speaker 5: Baby Nana is also not a fan of the Ferris wheel.
- 3:50Speaker 6: She forgot she's afraid of heights. And then she's all the.
- 3:53Speaker 2: Way up there. Oh, she did it? And she was like, oh, no.
- 3:56Speaker 5: She's all the way up there.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 3:58Speaker 6: I forgot I don't like this.
- 3:59Speaker 3: For me, the best part was when Baby Nana got there.
- 4:03Speaker 3: You see her coming over, and you're like, baby. And
- 4:06Speaker 3: he started breastfeeding her. But then she said, hi, Jammie.
- 4:12Speaker 3: And then she goes, where are the snacks?
- 4:15Speaker 2: That was it.
- 4:16Speaker 5: She just got off work.
- 4:17Speaker 2: She just showed up. She said, hi, Jammie.
- 4:19Speaker 6: Where are the snacks at?
- 4:26Speaker 3: It's time for a Mix 100 Sports Report because we're
- 4:29Speaker 3: so tapped into the world of sports.
- 4:32Speaker 2: I eat, breathe, and sleep spores. I can't get out
- 4:37Speaker 2: of my spores.
- 4:39Speaker 3: Broncos knocked down the roster, 53 players.
- 4:43Speaker 2: We're good to go.
- 4:43Speaker 3: Three quarterbacks this season. The weird thing that they're going
- 4:46Speaker 3: to do, I was reading, is they're actually going to
- 4:49Speaker 3: put all three quarterbacks at the.
- 4:50Speaker 4: Same time out when they're playing.
- 4:51Speaker 2: So do it. It's going to be something unique.
- 4:54Speaker 4: That the team's trying this year.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Who's getting the ball?
- 4:57Speaker 4: One will throw to another, to another, to another. Flea
- 5:00Speaker 4: flicker that, and boom.
- 5:01Speaker 6: You can only throw behind now.
- 5:02Speaker 2: No forward pass.
- 5:04Speaker 4: No, they changed the rules. You can throw it wherever
- 5:05Speaker 4: you want.
- 5:07Speaker 3: I've heard now this year they can throw it up
- 5:08Speaker 3: into the crowd, and then somebody from the crowd can
- 5:10Speaker 3: throw it to a player, and they can still score
- 5:12Speaker 3: a touchdown.
- 5:12Speaker 2: They're going banana ball. Spork, pretty tapped in. I've been
- 5:16Speaker 2: reading a lot of highlights on Reddit.
- 5:18Speaker 3: Okay, so there's a new research study out. They surveyed 5,000 Americans,
- 5:23Speaker 3: and it sounds like traditional tailgating is kind of taking
- 5:28Speaker 3: a dump right now. People don't really care to go
- 5:31Speaker 3: out and tailgate. What they want to do now is homegate.
- 5:36Speaker 3: They want to stay at home and do some homegating
- 5:39Speaker 3: because of comfort and flexibility. The two main keys, because
- 5:44Speaker 3: you can stay at home and you've got your own
- 5:45Speaker 3: bathroom and You know where the food's coming from?
- 5:48Speaker 4: You got a couch?
- 5:49Speaker 2: I'd take that. Why not?
- 5:51Speaker 4: So, yeah, home gating now is the big thing. I'm
- 5:54Speaker 4: all for it.
- 5:54Speaker 2: I don't want to stand out there. Yeah, you're getting
- 5:56Speaker 2: to the lots at, like, what, 10 a.m. for a 2.15 game?
- 5:59Speaker 6: Yeah, no.
- 6:00Speaker 2: No, thank you. No way.
- 6:02Speaker 6: Home gating is way more my speed.
- 6:03Speaker 2: I'm for it. Barf.
- 6:05Speaker 3: And there's a new survey out talking about fast walkers
- 6:07Speaker 3: and slow walkers. Slow walkers suck, right?
- 6:11Speaker 2: Slow walkers suck, essentially, was the moral. You needed a
- 6:14Speaker 2: survey for this? That was essentially the moral of the story.
- 6:17Speaker 3: They surveyed everybody and they said, how do you rate
- 6:19Speaker 3: yourself as very fast, somewhat fast, average, and then.
- 6:23Speaker 2: Slow, and then very slow.
- 6:24Speaker 3: And they started talking about how when you're walking around
- 6:29Speaker 3: with a slow walker, How absolutely horrible that is.
- 6:32Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 6:33Speaker 3: Because you've got to slow down your pace because I'm
- 6:34Speaker 3: a crazy fast walker.
- 6:36Speaker 6: I'm a fast walker, too.
- 6:37Speaker 5: And when people call you out on being a fast walker,
- 6:40Speaker 5: I'm like.
- 6:41Speaker 4: You shouldn't walk faster.
- 6:43Speaker 6: I shouldn't have to walk slower. You should pick it.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Up, Chuck.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Put down your can of beefaroni every night and get your.
- 6:50Speaker 2: Steps in is what I'm saying.
- 6:51Speaker 3: Quit pounding down the Chef Boyardee and get outside and
- 6:55Speaker 3: make a loop around a lake.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 6:57Speaker 4: Try to keep up, biatch.
- 6:59Speaker 3: But, yeah, slow walkers are the worst because when you're
- 7:01Speaker 3: walking with somebody like that, like, oh, my God.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:04Speaker 5: It's way harder to slow your pace.
- 7:06Speaker 6: Down, I think, than it is to speed it up.
- 7:08Speaker 5: It is. Yeah.
- 7:09Speaker 4: Because you feel like you're wasting your life.
- 7:10Speaker 3: Yes.
- 7:11Speaker 2: Like, I got places to be. Well, you're never going
- 7:12Speaker 2: to get there.
- 7:12Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 7:13Speaker 2: That's what it feels like.
- 7:14Speaker 6: I'm never getting to my destination.
- 7:16Speaker 2: It really does.
- 7:16Speaker 5: It does.
- 7:17Speaker 6: All right.
- 7:17Speaker 2: What else you got?
- 7:18Speaker 5: All right.
- 7:18Speaker 2: We're going to get in our time machine and talk
- 7:20Speaker 2: about Frankie Munez because he made headlines over the weekend
- 7:23Speaker 2: in 2004. So over 20 years ago. The childhood star
- 7:27Speaker 2: actor left acting and he wanted to pursue racing. And
- 7:31Speaker 2: he has been struggling for darn near two decades to
- 7:34Speaker 2: make any headway. in the world of motorsports. Well, he
- 7:38Speaker 2: competed in the AM class of the GT4 America Series
- 7:41Speaker 2: over the weekend. That's a good one. And he got
- 7:43Speaker 2: his first.
- 7:44Speaker 5: Win over the weekend.
- 7:45Speaker 7: Really?
- 7:46Speaker 2: Are you kidding me? His professional career. In the GT40X2?
- 7:50Speaker 5: Ever.
- 7:50Speaker 2: In the GT40XYZ, yes. And then after this, he stacked wins.
- 7:56Speaker 2: On Friday, he got the win, and he had to
- 7:58Speaker 2: race again on Saturday and got another win, and he
- 8:01Speaker 2: was in tears. After the race.
- 8:04Speaker 9: I'm emotional because I've honestly had kind of two of
- 8:07Speaker 9: the worst weeks of my entire life, to be honest.
- 8:08Speaker 9: Came here really low.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Had a good day yesterday. Felt really good today.
- 8:12Speaker 9: So to get this win is, I mean, thank you, God,
- 8:14Speaker 9: my team. Ford, this is unbelievable.
- 8:17Speaker 2: I feel so incredible. This is amazing. He said after that,
- 8:22Speaker 2: the whole time after the checkered flag came out, I
- 8:24Speaker 2: was crying in my helmet. I made this sacrifice to
- 8:26Speaker 2: my family to go and race and to be an
- 8:29Speaker 2: inspiration for my son. I'm so grateful to Ford Racing
- 8:32Speaker 2: Tech Sports. and my entire team, there is no feeling
- 8:34Speaker 2: like this on the planet. This guy has had health problems.
- 8:39Speaker 2: I'm happy for him.
- 8:40Speaker 3: I bet you he's a slow walker.
- 8:42Speaker 2: No, he drives fast, buddy. Lives his life a quarter
- 8:46Speaker 2: mile at a time.
- 8:47Speaker 6: Malcolm's no longer in the middle.
- 8:48Speaker 5: No, he's in the front. He won.
- 8:51Speaker 6: He's number one.
- 8:53Speaker 4: We've got drama.
- 8:54Speaker 5: We've got Denver talking.
- 8:56Speaker 2: It's the Mile High Hype.
- 8:57Speaker 5: With JKJ.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Legends and icons.
- 9:00Speaker 5: On Mix 100.
- 9:01Speaker 6: Yeah, it is.
- 9:02Speaker 4: Time for the hype.
- 9:03Speaker 3: All the big stories of the day brought to you
- 9:04Speaker 3: by Mountain High Appliance, where you can get amazing savings
- 9:07Speaker 3: throughout all the showrooms. Whether you're replacing one appliance or
- 9:10Speaker 3: remodeling an entire kitchen, you can find top brands online.
- 9:13Speaker 3: And expert advice, all you have to do is go
- 9:15Speaker 3: to mountainhighappliance.com. All right, how about this movie that's coming out?
- 9:20Speaker 4: Hooters, the movie.
- 9:22Speaker 2: It's real.
- 9:24Speaker 3: It's the story of how Hooters was founded based on
- 9:27Speaker 3: actual events. It follows two friends from Iowa named Ted
- 9:31Speaker 3: and Linny. Ted is trying to find a woman named
- 9:34Speaker 3: Diane from a spring break commercial, so he convinces Linny
- 9:39Speaker 3: to take a road trip with him to Clearwater Beach, Florida. Uh,
- 9:43Speaker 3: and then I guess they find her and Diane would
- 9:45Speaker 3: later become the first Hooters girl. The movie is being
- 9:48Speaker 3: described as a hilarious buddy comedy, an inspiring biopic and
- 9:53Speaker 3: a wild journey based on a crazy idea.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Why not, I guess?
- 9:58Speaker 4: It's an iconic restaurant.
- 10:00Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 10:00Speaker 3: It's been, you know, joked about and lusted after for many,
- 10:04Speaker 3: many years. I was reading more about it. The working
- 10:07Speaker 3: title of this movie is called Honk Honk.
- 10:10Speaker 5: Come on, they can do better than that, Jeremy. That's funny.
- 10:16Speaker 5: But I would be interested in that movie. Like, I
- 10:18Speaker 5: think that that's something.
- 10:19Speaker 6: We've had Hooters.
- 10:21Speaker 5: In our lives as far back as I can remember.
- 10:23Speaker 10: Long time.
- 10:24Speaker 5: So I'd like to know the, you know, startup point.
- 10:27Speaker 5: Hog hog.
- 10:28Speaker 6: You're so bad.
- 10:29Speaker 3: There is a story coming out of California. Montclair, California.
- 10:32Speaker 3: Police are searching for a stolen truck. carrying 50 000
- 10:37Speaker 3: cans of pbr uh it's about 40 000 pounds worth
- 10:42Speaker 3: of beer worth about 45.
- 10:44Speaker 4: 000 it disappeared.
- 10:46Speaker 3: After leaving a distribution center headed for tucson arizona i
- 10:51Speaker 3: guess there was a bogus driver who reportedly made the
- 10:54Speaker 3: pickup and he walked away with a bunch of beer
- 10:57Speaker 3: There was a second theft that later occurred at the same.
- 11:01Speaker 4: Facility using fake papers and the whole thing.
- 11:04Speaker 3: And they got away with $ 25, 000 worth of beer. So
- 11:08Speaker 3: if you see two gigantic beer trucks and a couple
- 11:11Speaker 3: of wasted dudes, I think you found them.
- 11:14Speaker 2: That's ballsy.
- 11:15Speaker 5: I mean, are we going to check security at this spot? Like,
- 11:18Speaker 5: are we going to up the security or change out
- 11:20Speaker 5: a few people? I don't know.
- 11:22Speaker 2: How do you get away with it?
- 11:23Speaker 3: 50,000 cans of PBR, and then what do you do
- 11:26Speaker 3: with them?
- 11:27Speaker 6: You drink them.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Drink them. You've got a fridge big enough for all that.
- 11:30Speaker 5: Exactly.
- 11:31Speaker 2: All right, so how about this?
- 11:33Speaker 3: Denver switched over to those Vio scooters and e-bikes.
- 11:37Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 11:38Speaker 4: Getting rid of the lime and the bird bikes.
- 11:40Speaker 3: And they started tracking rides, and during the first two
- 11:44Speaker 3: months of the new Vio scooters program, They had 145,000
- 11:49Speaker 3: rides completed and approximately 1.3 million.
- 11:55Speaker 4: Trips on those bikes.
- 11:57Speaker 5: I've used them.
- 11:58Speaker 4: That's pretty wild. I've been on those scooters. I was
- 12:01Speaker 4: on the Lime one, though.
- 12:02Speaker 2: They were fun.
- 12:04Speaker 5: Are they fun? I loved it.
- 12:05Speaker 2: You zipping around downtown in those? Well, now that they're
- 12:08Speaker 2: little bikes, they're like the little e-bikes.
- 12:09Speaker 6: Yeah, I want to sit.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Katie and I saw one of the VOs fly over
- 12:14Speaker 2: a median over the weekend.
- 12:15Speaker 6: Yeah, exactly.
- 12:18Speaker 3: They say VO has issued more than 1,800 warnings for violations,
- 12:23Speaker 3: you know, probably for speeding like that. And fines began
- 12:26Speaker 3: earlier this month. But man, that's kind of trippy to
- 12:28Speaker 3: think about. 1.3 million trips around downtown and those goofy things.
- 12:32Speaker 6: They'd be busy.
- 12:33Speaker 2: I got one final thing for you.
- 12:34Speaker 3: The Colorado's Fat Marmot Week has officially ended.
- 12:39Speaker 5: I love it.
- 12:40Speaker 3: And the champion is a six-year-old female marmot named Dawn.
- 12:44Speaker 2: Yes, Dawn is the winner.
- 12:46Speaker 3: Dawn is weighed in at an enormous 13.2 pounds, which
- 12:50Speaker 3: is big for the marmots. They say it's one of
- 12:52Speaker 3: the heaviest marmots ever recorded.
- 12:55Speaker 2: By the laboratory.
- 12:57Speaker 5: I voted for Dawn.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Did you vote for Dawn?
- 12:59Speaker 6: Yeah, it's the Nana's middle name.
- 13:01Speaker 2: Oh, there you go. Nana Dawn.
- 13:04Speaker 3: They say yellow-bellied marmots need to roughly double their body
- 13:08Speaker 3: weight during summer because they can lose half of it
- 13:11Speaker 3: during hibernation.
- 13:12Speaker 4: It's much like my mother-in-law. She doubles that weight during
- 13:14Speaker 4: the summer.
- 13:22Speaker 2: She's my little Don. All right.
- 13:25Speaker 7: Okay.
- 13:25Speaker 5: We have some really sweet news coming out of that
- 13:28Speaker 5: Bronco game from Friday night. Now we all know Broncos
- 13:31Speaker 5: got a big win against the Minnesota Vikings, but before
- 13:34Speaker 5: the game, we made some history there. An all woman
- 13:37Speaker 5: Colorado state patrol team escorted the Minnesota Vikings onto the field.
- 13:42Speaker 5: And that was the first time that that happened.
- 13:44Speaker 6: In CSP history.
- 13:46Speaker 5: So it was 50 years after the first women were
- 13:48Speaker 5: admitted into the state's police academy.
- 13:51Speaker 6: So very inspiring.
- 13:52Speaker 5: A couple of the ladies were talking about it after
- 13:55Speaker 5: the game about how, you know, why haven't we done
- 13:57Speaker 5: this before? But they love how the community actually gets
- 14:00Speaker 5: to see them in a different way. They're not stopping them.
- 14:03Speaker 5: They're not giving them tickets. They're there to keep them safe.
- 14:07Speaker 5: And cheer on the Broncos with them. But with the
- 14:09Speaker 5: woman-inspired message, I love it because they talked about how
- 14:14Speaker 5: young women who dream of a big career that bears
- 14:17Speaker 5: big responsibility like that. It's so important to see other
- 14:21Speaker 5: women in that role and doing that. So you can,
- 14:24Speaker 5: you know, envision yourself doing it one day. And they said,
- 14:27Speaker 5: don't underestimate who you are and what you're capable of doing.
- 14:32Speaker 5: Never give up.
- 14:33Speaker 6: Anything is possible.
- 14:34Speaker 5: So just a very inspiring, beautiful message.
- 14:36Speaker 2: And you get a taser.
- 14:36Speaker 5: For ladies everywhere. And you get a taser, which makes
- 14:39Speaker 5: you awesome. And the Broncos got to win, too. So
- 14:42Speaker 5: go Broncos. But I did love to see that story
- 14:46Speaker 5: because anytime women are, you know, front and center, let's go.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Right?
- 14:50Speaker 5: Go broncos also okay and then uh the way oh
- 14:52Speaker 5: did you hear about this the waymo being involved in
- 14:55Speaker 5: an accident last week so it was a three vehicle
- 14:57Speaker 5: crash i know josh this happened last week again and
- 15:01Speaker 5: so it was a driver who was traveling like eastbound
- 15:04Speaker 5: uh westbound rather on eighth avenue so they crashed into
- 15:08Speaker 5: the back of another vehicle and then the waymo got
- 15:11Speaker 5: hit from that vehicle so.
- 15:13Speaker 2: It wasn't the It wasn't my fault. It wasn't my fault.
- 15:16Speaker 5: And in fact, it was an unoccupied Waymo, so nobody
- 15:20Speaker 5: was hurt. And that driver who was trailing was cited
- 15:23Speaker 5: in the crash. But it's making news because it's the
- 15:25Speaker 5: first crash that involved a Waymo here in Denver.
- 15:28Speaker 6: So everyone's talking about it.
- 15:30Speaker 2: So does it stick around or does the Waymo drive
- 15:31Speaker 2: off as it's just supposed to?
- 15:32Speaker 5: No, they got to stick around. Yeah, they stick around
- 15:34Speaker 5: and they were able to, you know, figure out who was.
- 15:37Speaker 6: Cited and who was responsible for the crash.
- 15:38Speaker 2: License and registration, please.
- 15:40Speaker 5: Exactly. But, you know, like you would think, I don't know,
- 15:43Speaker 5: I just would think that that Waymo would have went
- 15:45Speaker 5: a little faster forward so as not to.
- 15:47Speaker 6: Get hit from behind. Because if you have cameras in
- 15:49Speaker 6: all directions, wouldn't you anticipate it coming?
- 15:52Speaker 5: I know, right?
- 15:52Speaker 2: It's its kink.
- 15:53Speaker 6: Hit me.
- 15:54Speaker 2: It's a Waymo kink.
- 15:55Speaker 5: Hit me now.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Hit me from the back. Hit me from the back.
- 15:58Speaker 5: I can see that.
- 15:58Speaker 4: Who's your daddy? Who's your Waymo?
- 16:01Speaker 6: He liked it.
- 16:02Speaker 5: He was into it.
- 16:03Speaker 3: Harder.
- 16:03Speaker 2: Exactly. Harder. Back up and go again. It's a Waymo kink,
- 16:08Speaker 2: I'm telling you.
- 16:08Speaker 5: No, no, no.
- 16:10Speaker 4: Now drive around and hit me from the front.
- 16:12Speaker 5: No, from the side.
- 16:14Speaker 6: Okay, and then have you heard about this gifting scam?
- 16:17Speaker 2: No.
- 16:17Speaker 5: They're really seeing it pop up in Aurora, but it's
- 16:20Speaker 5: a little basic, but effective. So what it is, authorities
- 16:24Speaker 5: say they've seen an uptick in this kind of crime
- 16:26Speaker 5: where a vendor... will approach someone.
- 16:28Speaker 6: With a gift.
- 16:29Speaker 5: It's usually like a cheap necklace or a cheap piece
- 16:32Speaker 5: of jewelry, right? So just like somebody, you know, on
- 16:35Speaker 5: the street. They usually target elderly and people who don't
- 16:39Speaker 5: speak English. So they're looking for a specific type of person,
- 16:42Speaker 5: but they'll approach that person with a gift of cheap.
- 16:45Speaker 6: Jewelry, right?
- 16:46Speaker 5: They'll be like, oh, look what I have for you.
- 16:48Speaker 5: you know, you're so beautiful, this will match your eyes.
- 16:50Speaker 5: That person will then go and try and take the jewelry,
- 16:53Speaker 5: and the person will grab their expensive jewelry.
- 16:57Speaker 6: So whether it's their.
- 16:58Speaker 5: Necklace, they'll pull it off, or they'll go in for
- 17:01Speaker 5: a hug and grab some, like, expensive ring on their finger.
- 17:05Speaker 5: But they're being very aggressive about it. Like, some people
- 17:07Speaker 5: are trying to be sneaky and just grab the jewelry
- 17:10Speaker 5: when they come in for a hug, you know what
- 17:11Speaker 5: I mean? Like, grab it off their hand or their
- 17:13Speaker 5: wrist or something. But some people are just aggressively grabbing.
- 17:17Speaker 6: That necklace, off the person.
- 17:18Speaker 2: Well, that's terrifying.
- 17:19Speaker 6: It's absolutely terrifying.
- 17:21Speaker 3: They are going to grab it from the wrong person
- 17:22Speaker 3: and they are going to get probably popped.
- 17:24Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 17:25Speaker 5: But if you can imagine like them targeting like elderly
- 17:28Speaker 5: people who are by themselves. Yeah, that's horrible.
- 17:31Speaker 6: It's That's absolutely horrible. It's absolutely awful.
- 17:33Speaker 5: So what they're saying you can do to deter that
- 17:35Speaker 5: is if you are going to be out by yourself,
- 17:37Speaker 5: don't wear expensive stuff.
- 17:39Speaker 11: No.
- 17:39Speaker 5: Don't make yourself a target because these people are looking
- 17:42Speaker 5: for you.
- 17:42Speaker 2: Put your clothes stuff on. Exactly.
- 17:44Speaker 5: Put your stuff on that you got out of the
- 17:45Speaker 5: quarter machine. That's my advice to you.
- 17:48Speaker 3: It is a case for eating really crappy and really
- 17:50Speaker 3: salty food so you blow it up so you.
- 17:51Speaker 4: Can't get your rings off.
- 17:52Speaker 1: There you go.
- 17:53Speaker 2: There's a case for that. Get your swole on.
- 17:55Speaker 3: Eat some chicken fried steak before you go out.
- 17:58Speaker 5: You ain't got to tell me twice.
- 17:59Speaker 2: You'll swell up.
- 18:00Speaker 4: There's no way they're getting those rings off.
- 18:02Speaker 6: Now that's the kind of advice I need.
- 18:04Speaker 5: Eat more fried chicken and save yourself.
- 18:06Speaker 3: Did you see the perp licking the finger trying to
- 18:09Speaker 3: make it slick?
- 18:10Speaker 2: It's not coming.
- 18:11Speaker 5: Not today.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Not today. Not happening. I had an eight piece.
- 18:15Speaker 6: I'm protecting myself.
- 18:17Speaker 2: I heard the advice. I took that serious.
- 18:19Speaker 4: I heard Jeremy on the radio.
- 18:22Speaker 5: Eat more fried chicken.
- 18:24Speaker 4: Eat more salty food.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Blow it up.
- 18:26Speaker 6: There you go.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Jerry, Katie, and Josh.
- 18:30Speaker 2: Mix 100.
- 18:31Speaker 4: Katie has left the studio. We have no idea where
- 18:34Speaker 4: she is.
- 18:34Speaker 3: She's supposed to be telling a story right now, but
- 18:39Speaker 3: apparently that's.
- 18:41Speaker 2: It's not okay. Not okay. No, it's not at all.
- 18:43Speaker 2: The anticipation builds. Honestly, I saw her running around the
- 18:46Speaker 2: hallway about two minutes ago now, but it does not
- 18:50Speaker 2: look like she's in any type of hurry to get
- 18:52Speaker 2: back here. Well, you know, she's new at this.
- 18:55Speaker 4: And here she comes.
- 18:56Speaker 2: You see her sprinting down the hallway?
- 18:59Speaker 3: Yeah, that's really strange.
- 19:01Speaker 2: Yeah, there she is.
- 19:03Speaker 1: Wow.
- 19:04Speaker 5: Sorry.
- 19:04Speaker 4: We've been wondering.
- 19:05Speaker 2: It's okay.
- 19:05Speaker 4: You're new at this.
- 19:07Speaker 2: All right, tell us all about quinoa.
- 19:11Speaker 6: Oh, thanks for the heads up. Yeah.
- 19:13Speaker 2: Well, you weren't in here.
- 19:15Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 19:15Speaker 5: This trend about whether your boyfriend or significant other can
- 19:20Speaker 5: say the word quinoa.
- 19:21Speaker 6: I just thought it was kind of funny.
- 19:23Speaker 5: You actually said you partake in a lot of quinoa,
- 19:27Speaker 5: so that's not something that you don't.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Know how to do.
- 19:29Speaker 4: The amount of quinoa we eat in my house is ridiculous.
- 19:32Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 19:33Speaker 2: I'm going to tell you right now.
- 19:34Speaker 4: Breakfast, lunch, dinner.
- 19:35Speaker 3: We buy the big bags from Costco.
- 19:38Speaker 2: I bring them in.
- 19:39Speaker 3: One of my worst quinoa experiences, which I don't recommend,
- 19:42Speaker 3: is when you do an online order of quinoa and
- 19:45Speaker 3: then that package rips open in the box and you
- 19:49Speaker 3: bring that into your house.
- 19:50Speaker 4: And you open it up and the quinoa goes everywhere.
- 19:52Speaker 4: Do not recommend the online.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Order of the quinoa.
- 19:56Speaker 3: But you're saying that people know how to pronounce it?
- 19:59Speaker 5: Well, it's either that or just rage bait. I mean,
- 20:02Speaker 5: it really started with this woman who was like, there's
- 20:06Speaker 5: a list of words my husband can't pronounce. And quinoa
- 20:09Speaker 5: was part of it.
- 20:11Speaker 6: Pseudoscience, epitome, hors d'oeuvres, sorbet. All of these words they say.
- 20:17Speaker 5: Yeah, all these words they say that men just cannot
- 20:21Speaker 5: get down with.
- 20:21Speaker 2: Why has it got to be men?
- 20:23Speaker 4: Worcestershire, Euro.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Oh, please. It's not just men.
- 20:26Speaker 3: It's like when I was standing in line and the
- 20:28Speaker 3: lady was like, where's the Asagio cheese?
- 20:31Speaker 2: I see you got a bag of Asagio cheese. Asiago, ma'am? No,
- 20:36Speaker 2: where's the Asagio?
- 20:37Speaker 5: Again, it started with this woman who shared a list,
- 20:40Speaker 5: 15 words she, quote, knew her husband wouldn't be able
- 20:44Speaker 5: to pronounce, and then- She giggled as he struggled with
- 20:47Speaker 5: words like epitome, rendezvous, conscientious, indict, and faux.
- 20:54Speaker 2: That's just mean to your husband.
- 20:56Speaker 4: Faux gets me all the time.
- 20:57Speaker 5: Because it's F-A-U-X. So when you look at it, your
- 21:00Speaker 5: brain is like, that's not right, but I'm going to
- 21:02Speaker 5: say faux anyway, right?
- 21:03Speaker 3: Faux gets me, and so does fuck. Yeah, you're along
- 21:07Speaker 3: the same line.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Oh, same. Fuck gets me.
- 21:09Speaker 5: Your brain and your mouth are like arguing in the moment.
- 21:13Speaker 5: And that's what the problem is, is they can't agree.
- 21:16Speaker 5: And it's like it happens in the moment.
- 21:18Speaker 2: I will never forget when I went up to a
- 21:20Speaker 2: berry place. It was berry blends or something. And I
- 21:23Speaker 2: went to go order the acai bowl.
- 21:25Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 21:25Speaker 2: And they looked at me like, what? That one gets
- 21:28Speaker 2: me too. Oh, acai. Acai.
- 21:30Speaker 3: That one's ridiculous.
- 21:31Speaker 2: I'll never forget it. It doesn't look like acai. No,
- 21:34Speaker 2: it looks like acai.
- 21:34Speaker 3: It looks like acai all day long.
- 21:36Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 21:37Speaker 5: And so it's funny because, again, when you don't know
- 21:40Speaker 5: how something is pronounced, it's almost like.
- 21:43Speaker 2: You freeze.
- 21:45Speaker 5: You do freeze, just like I almost.
- 21:47Speaker 2: Did right there.
- 21:47Speaker 6: You just don't know what to do.
- 21:48Speaker 2: But everybody looks at you like you're an idiot, too.
- 21:50Speaker 5: You're like, I didn't know.
- 21:51Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 21:52Speaker 4: Well, that happens to me no matter what.
- 21:55Speaker 5: But I did think it was funny because it is
- 21:57Speaker 5: aimed at men. It's supposed to be a man thing,
- 22:00Speaker 5: but I know there's plenty of women who can't pronounce
- 22:03Speaker 5: certain words as well.
- 22:04Speaker 6: We all struggle with it.
- 22:05Speaker 5: And again, in the moment, it's like you have a
- 22:07Speaker 5: brain fart and your mouth doesn't know how to operate anymore.
- 22:10Speaker 5: Your brain is having a meltdown. It's all happening at
- 22:13Speaker 5: the same time. But one person, I thought it was
- 22:16Speaker 5: really funny because the whole story just had, like, people
- 22:18Speaker 5: commenting back, like, my husband can't say this or my
- 22:21Speaker 5: wife has a problem with this. But there was one
- 22:23Speaker 5: comment that just caught me. It was zero foes given. But,
- 22:26Speaker 5: you know, it's spelled F-A-U-X. So you look at it
- 22:30Speaker 5: and you're like, takes you a second.
- 22:32Speaker 3: Takes you a second. Mine's always been giraffe, right?
- 22:37Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Giraffe. Draft.
- 22:39Speaker 4: And then forward is the other one that's always gotten me.
- 22:42Speaker 4: I can't say moving.
- 22:44Speaker 2: It's moving forward. Like you're saying F-O-R-D. Yeah, like America's pickup. Forward.
- 22:50Speaker 4: I can't do it.
- 22:51Speaker 9: Forward.
- 22:51Speaker 3: Forward.
- 22:55Speaker 2: Akai, Kunwa, and Ford.
- 23:01Speaker 4: What a stupid guy.
- 23:04Speaker 3: A couple of things going on in my personal life.
- 23:06Speaker 3: I guess I will say a big old thank you
- 23:08Speaker 3: to numerous listeners who have been reaching out, giving me
- 23:12Speaker 3: the ups and the downs and the pros and the
- 23:14Speaker 3: cons and everything in between of being a cross-country parent now.
- 23:20Speaker 3: Was at another cross-country event this weekend, and we rolled in,
- 23:24Speaker 3: and there was like 1,000 kids at this one.
- 23:26Speaker 4: I'm not even joking.
- 23:27Speaker 6: You were showing me video. It is absolutely wild.
- 23:30Speaker 2: It's wild.
- 23:30Speaker 6: The amount of people who show up to one park.
- 23:32Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 23:33Speaker 11: Yes, the tents.
- 23:33Speaker 2: You couldn't find parking.
- 23:35Speaker 3: In my son's wave alone, there was like 260 boys running.
- 23:40Speaker 3: It's pretty wild. I'm loving it. It's a lot of fun.
- 23:44Speaker 3: He's really enjoying it.
- 23:45Speaker 2: I don't want to brag. I don't want to brag.
- 23:48Speaker 3: But I've been put in charge of finding a new
- 23:51Speaker 3: tent for the cross-country team.
- 23:53Speaker 4: Don't want to brag.
- 23:53Speaker 2: Kind of a big deal, though. Big boss, man.
- 23:55Speaker 3: Pretty high-profile activity there for me.
- 23:59Speaker 2: Tent duty already.
- 24:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't want to brag, but I'll be taking
- 24:03Speaker 3: care of that.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Kind of a big deal.
- 24:06Speaker 3: There was a parent that wrote me this weekend, I'm sorry,
- 24:09Speaker 3: I can't find your message again.
- 24:11Speaker 2: We've got, you know, between.
- 24:13Speaker 3: Our Instagrams, I've got three I look after, and then
- 24:18Speaker 3: the two Facebooks, and then email, and then it's just
- 24:21Speaker 3: a lot. But a message from a listener this weekend,
- 24:25Speaker 3: it made me chuckle because she said, hey, cross-country pro tip.
- 24:30Speaker 3: Don't ever set up your, like, I don't want to
- 24:34Speaker 3: call it like a picnic area, but your hangout area.
- 24:36Speaker 3: Your blanket, your tent, whatever, at the end, at the
- 24:41Speaker 3: finish line.
- 24:42Speaker 4: She's like, that's just a pro tip.
- 24:43Speaker 3: You don't want to set up anything in the grass
- 24:46Speaker 3: at the end because that's where all the runners puke.
- 24:49Speaker 3: She's like, I've made that mistake once. She said, I
- 24:52Speaker 3: had a soggy blanket once.
- 24:54Speaker 4: So that's a pro tip. I was like, that's pretty solid.
- 24:57Speaker 3: My pro tip for anybody with kids going into cross country,
- 25:01Speaker 3: I would say try to use the bathroom before the race.
- 25:04Speaker 3: At home, before you get there, don't drink a lot
- 25:06Speaker 3: of coffee and stuff because they do have porta potties
- 25:08Speaker 3: lined up.
- 25:08Speaker 6: You don't want to use those.
- 25:09Speaker 2: I'm going to tell you right now, early morning, Yeah.
- 25:11Speaker 2: With a bunch of runners? Yeah. Those babies are topped.
- 25:15Speaker 4: Off by 7 a.m.
- 25:15Speaker 6: Yeah, they are.
- 25:17Speaker 2: I'll tell you that right now.
- 25:18Speaker 3: That honey bucket is not so sweet no more.
- 25:22Speaker 5: Oh, boy.
- 25:24Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 25:25Speaker 4: That's a different type of horror right there. You don't
- 25:28Speaker 4: want to go in one of those early mornings. So
- 25:30Speaker 4: there's my pro tip.
- 25:31Speaker 3: But thank you so much to all the parents sounding
- 25:33Speaker 3: off and sending me messages.
- 25:35Speaker 4: I really appreciate you guys.
- 25:36Speaker 3: Second thing going on in my life. I think I
- 25:39Speaker 3: can talk about this. I don't think knick-knack will be
- 25:43Speaker 3: mad at me.
- 25:44Speaker 6: You have to now.
- 25:44Speaker 3: I've made it no secret that I've talked about my sweet, huggable, lovable,
- 25:49Speaker 3: and highly squeezable knick-knack.
- 25:51Speaker 6: Oh, you love her.
- 25:52Speaker 2: I love her.
- 25:53Speaker 3: I've talked about her for many years on this show,
- 25:55Speaker 3: and I've also talked about her skincare routine.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 25:57Speaker 3: Where we have dropped hundreds of dollars on various elixirs
- 26:02Speaker 3: and concoctions.
- 26:02Speaker 6: Yes.
- 26:03Speaker 3: To make yourself look 10 minutes younger. And she has
- 26:08Speaker 3: dropped a lot of cash on various products.
- 26:10Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 26:11Speaker 3: And now, all of a sudden, all those are getting
- 26:14Speaker 3: pushed to the side in the bathroom for just two
- 26:17Speaker 3: products now.
- 26:18Speaker 6: Oh, what are they?
- 26:19Speaker 2: So, ladies, I don't know. Because she looks great.
- 26:20Speaker 6: So, what's the secret? Are you going to tell her.
- 26:22Speaker 2: Secret right now? I'm going to tell some secrets right now.
- 26:24Speaker 11: Okay.
- 26:24Speaker 3: So, ladies, if you're looking for that perfect skincare routine,
- 26:28Speaker 3: right now, she's just lathering on Vaseline.
- 26:30Speaker 6: It's so smart.
- 26:32Speaker 4: Every night.
- 26:32Speaker 6: It's cheap.
- 26:33Speaker 3: A high-quality Vaseline, though.
- 26:34Speaker 6: But still, that is such a smart move.
- 26:36Speaker 3: She was talking to me about the purification process behind it.
- 26:40Speaker 4: Certain Vaseline's this weekend.
- 26:42Speaker 2: I pretty much checked out.
- 26:43Speaker 6: So you need the high-end Vaseline's.
- 26:44Speaker 3: I would have rather been in that honey bucket than listen.
- 26:47Speaker 4: To talk about high-end Vaseline's.
- 26:49Speaker 2: Vaseline, check.
- 26:51Speaker 1: Check.
- 26:52Speaker 6: And then?
- 26:52Speaker 4: A big tub of Vaseline slathered on. And then the
- 26:56Speaker 4: new thing in our house. This is very exciting news.
- 26:58Speaker 3: And again, I think I can talk about this. But
- 27:00Speaker 3: I've heard a lot of people do this. She's rubbing
- 27:03Speaker 3: beef tallow on her face.
- 27:06Speaker 2: Beef tallow.
- 27:08Speaker 6: The fat?
- 27:09Speaker 2: Is that not going to make her break out? Beef fat.
- 27:12Speaker 2: On the face?
- 27:13Speaker 4: All over the face. And she smells like my smoker.
- 27:18Speaker 2: No, I'm joking.
- 27:18Speaker 3: No, but I guess this is a thing.
- 27:22Speaker 2: There's a lot of benefits.
- 27:23Speaker 3: I'm reading about them right now because, again, I checked
- 27:26Speaker 3: out when she was talking to me.
- 27:28Speaker 4: Deep hydration. It softens the skin. It's nutrient-rich.
- 27:34Speaker 3: It delivers fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K, which
- 27:39Speaker 3: support skin health and barrier repair.
- 27:42Speaker 4: It soothes irritation, and it's biocompatible.
- 27:47Speaker 3: It easily absorbs into the outer skin layer without feeling
- 27:50Speaker 3: overly greasy when used in small amounts. But still, I
- 27:55Speaker 3: just think it's a little cringy. They need to maybe
- 27:58Speaker 3: pick a different name.
- 28:00Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 28:01Speaker 3: Because she's like, oh, my beef tallow's here. I'm like,
- 28:05Speaker 3: is this for dinner or what's going on? She's like, no,
- 28:07Speaker 3: it's for my face. Yeah, so it's, I don't know. Ladies,
- 28:12Speaker 3: is this a thing? Are you rubbing beef fat all
- 28:13Speaker 3: over your face now?
- 28:14Speaker 5: Well, and I'm also looking at it, and I think
- 28:17Speaker 5: some of the risks that I, they're alarming to me.
- 28:21Speaker 2: There's risks?
- 28:21Speaker 6: Well, yeah.
- 28:22Speaker 2: It's oil.
- 28:23Speaker 6: So it's like.
- 28:24Speaker 2: It's pretty prone to acne. Yeah, exactly.
- 28:26Speaker 5: Like, it can cause breakouts if your skin is super sensitive,
- 28:29Speaker 5: because if used small amounts, you said.
- 28:32Speaker 6: It still is very heavy. I mean, it's an oil,
- 28:35Speaker 6: so there's that.
- 28:36Speaker 5: Also, some of the commercial ones, they have additives in them,
- 28:39Speaker 5: which can further irritate sensitive skin if you have it.
- 28:42Speaker 4: I think this is a special one.
- 28:44Speaker 5: The lack of regulation, that's really, I mean, they have
- 28:47Speaker 5: to regulate this kind of stuff. You can't just be
- 28:50Speaker 5: putting any old beef fat on your face and expect-
- 28:53Speaker 5: Can I.
- 28:53Speaker 4: Just rub a steak on her face before I throw
- 28:54Speaker 4: it on the grill?
- 28:55Speaker 5: I can just imagine a lot of people just you know,
- 28:59Speaker 5: hearing this and doing something that they shouldn't do. So
- 29:02Speaker 5: maybe look into it.
- 29:03Speaker 4: I think she's done her research. It's through some sort of.
- 29:06Speaker 2: Oh, I'm sure she has. Extra special company.
- 29:09Speaker 3: It's not like cheap.
- 29:10Speaker 2: I'm sure.
- 29:11Speaker 3: She's not running into Walmart saying, hey, can you give
- 29:13Speaker 3: me whatever's left in the back?
- 29:14Speaker 5: Exactly. Clean out your grease traps.
- 29:16Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 29:16Speaker 5: Put it in this container for me.
- 29:18Speaker 6: Don't do that.
- 29:19Speaker 2: Put it in my little Rubbermaid. Lather it on. Is
- 29:21Speaker 2: that what you want?
- 29:21Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 29:24Speaker 11: I don't know.
- 29:24Speaker 5: So just make sure you do your due diligence if
- 29:26Speaker 5: you are listening.
- 29:28Speaker 2: Or not. Just wing it.
- 29:29Speaker 6: Go for it.
- 29:30Speaker 5: I don't care.
- 29:31Speaker 4: You do your skin.
- 29:33Speaker 5: Get that 80-20 hamburger beef and there you go.
- 29:35Speaker 2: That's all you need.
- 29:36Speaker 6: The grease.
- 29:37Speaker 4: Except you're making tacos.
- 29:38Speaker 2: Just drain it out of your face.
- 29:40Speaker 3: Some paper towel and dab that on your face before
- 29:42Speaker 3: you go to bed.
- 29:42Speaker 7: Oh my goodness.
- 29:43Speaker 3: So I did have to laugh because the other $ 6, 000
- 29:47Speaker 3: worth of products sitting.
- 29:49Speaker 4: On the counter there in the bathroom.
- 29:51Speaker 3: You look at them and I was going through them
- 29:54Speaker 3: and I was like, honey, 99% of these that you've
- 29:57Speaker 3: spent money on, I'm reading them, they're all like vegan, cruelty-free,
- 30:02Speaker 3: not tested on animals, all natural, organic, and then right
- 30:08Speaker 3: next to it is I'm like, huh, I guess we've
- 30:14Speaker 3: changed our ways, haven't we?
- 30:16Speaker 4: But her skin looks amazing.
- 30:18Speaker 2: That's good. It's amazing.
- 30:20Speaker 1: There we go.
- 30:21Speaker 2: So soft and supple. Oh, goodness. Two things.
- 30:24Speaker 3: A lot of ladies extremely concerned that Katie didn't wear
- 30:28Speaker 3: her Creamy ho dress?
- 30:30Speaker 4: Is that what I called it?
- 30:31Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 30:32Speaker 2: The creamy ho dress.
- 30:33Speaker 5: The amount of people.
- 30:34Speaker 2: Where's that creamy ho dress?
- 30:35Speaker 6: Where's that creamy ho dress at?
- 30:37Speaker 2: So funny.
- 30:38Speaker 4: You'll have to go find that on a podcast.
- 30:40Speaker 5: The best part was next to the big boss, someone
- 30:43Speaker 5: came up and said.
- 30:44Speaker 2: Where's that creamy?
- 30:45Speaker 5: And he was like.
- 30:46Speaker 2: Pardon me? I know.
- 30:48Speaker 6: What do you guys talk about?
- 30:49Speaker 3: I got to start listening to that show more. Yeah,
- 30:51Speaker 3: so she didn't have the creamy hoe dress.
- 30:53Speaker 5: Or the red heels.
- 30:54Speaker 2: Yeah, right. There's that, too.
- 30:55Speaker 6: Lots of comments on that, as well.
- 30:57Speaker 3: And then a lot of ladies coming up and getting
- 30:58Speaker 3: in my kitchen because they're like, Jer, you don't know
- 31:02Speaker 3: what you're talking about when it comes to the fingernails
- 31:05Speaker 3: and toenails being a different color.
- 31:06Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 31:07Speaker 4: Which we fought about. Was that on Friday?
- 31:09Speaker 6: It was on Friday. You got told quite.
- 31:11Speaker 2: A few times.
- 31:12Speaker 4: A lot of ladies came up and got in my kitchen.
- 31:15Speaker 6: People came up and yelled at you. They did.
- 31:18Speaker 2: What are you talking?
- 31:19Speaker 6: I didn't know.
- 31:20Speaker 5: Old school way to think that you can't have different
- 31:23Speaker 5: color nails as your toes.
- 31:25Speaker 4: A lot of passion behind toenails and fingernails.
- 31:28Speaker 6: We fought for that right.
- 31:30Speaker 5: Don't you know?
- 31:30Speaker 4: You did fight for that right.
- 31:32Speaker 2: We sure did. To party.
- 31:34Speaker 3: But yeah, a lot of ladies came up that were
- 31:36Speaker 3: a couple glasses deep into wine.
- 31:38Speaker 6: Well, that's when you get that, you know, gumption.
- 31:40Speaker 9: To do it.
- 31:40Speaker 2: They had a little liquid courage. Jimmy, get over here.
- 31:42Speaker 7: Jimmy!
- 31:43Speaker 2: Look at my toes.
- 31:44Speaker 4: And that one lady that came up, she was beautiful,
- 31:47Speaker 4: and her toes were all sorts of colors.
- 31:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:49Speaker 6: It was pretty funny.
- 31:50Speaker 3: Jeepers.
- 31:51Speaker 6: You got yelled at.
- 31:53Speaker 5: That's why you.
- 31:53Speaker 6: Ran off onto the Ferris wheel, huh?
- 31:55Speaker 5: Or the carousel.
- 31:56Speaker 3: I did. There was a moment where I was like,
- 31:58Speaker 3: my God, there's so much anger tonight.
- 32:00Speaker 5: There's so many women yelling at me about their feet.
- 32:02Speaker 4: We just try to have fun on this show.
- 32:04Speaker 3: Sometimes you hit those hot buttons, and I'm like, this
- 32:07Speaker 3: hot button is nails and fingernails and toenails.
- 32:10Speaker 5: We're coming for you, sir.
- 32:11Speaker 4: You're coming in hot, ladies.
- 32:12Speaker 3: Yeah, we are.
- 32:13Speaker 2: Hot, hot, hot.
- 32:14Speaker 4: But we love you. Thanks for sounding off with JKJ
- 32:17Speaker 4: here at Mix.
- 32:17Speaker 2: Five, five, five, five.
- 32:19Speaker 1: It's time to play Fast Five.
- 32:21Speaker 5: Fast Five.
- 32:22Speaker 1: How fast can you be?
- 32:23Speaker 4: We're going fast with that one.
- 32:24Speaker 2: With Jeremy, Katie, and Josh.
- 32:27Speaker 4: Yeah, it is time to get our Fast Five on.
- 32:30Speaker 3: First one of the week.
- 32:31Speaker 2: So if you're ready to play, y'all fired up and
- 32:33Speaker 2: wide awake. Here's our number, 303-691-1MIX.
- 32:34Speaker 3: 303-691-1MIX. 1649 if you'd like to get in the studios.
- 32:44Speaker 3: We'll get you on the air, find out what you
- 32:46Speaker 3: did over the weekend, and then I'll throw a category
- 32:48Speaker 3: at you and start a 10-second timer. Within those 10 seconds,
- 32:52Speaker 3: you've got to give me five things that have to
- 32:54Speaker 3: do with the category. Does this sound fun to you?
- 32:57Speaker 3: 303-691- 1649.
- 33:00Speaker 4: Katie, got some examples?
- 33:02Speaker 2: I sure do.
- 33:02Speaker 5: And you ask for all kinds of stuff, like five
- 33:05Speaker 5: movies with only one word in the title or five
- 33:09Speaker 5: items from the game Operation. The one that won it
- 33:12Speaker 5: on Friday was five places that you would see velvet ropes.
- 33:16Speaker 6: And Peter was the one who.
- 33:18Speaker 5: Was able to get it done.
- 33:19Speaker 2: But, yeah, you went all over the place.
- 33:22Speaker 5: When it comes to the categories. So, never know what
- 33:24Speaker 5: you're going to ask.
- 33:24Speaker 4: I believe I said in my bedroom.
- 33:26Speaker 5: You did.
- 33:26Speaker 6: I know.
- 33:27Speaker 2: I'm a silly boy.
- 33:28Speaker 5: Step right up.
- 33:30Speaker 4: I'm a silly, silly boy.
- 33:31Speaker 3: All right, you want to call in, have some fun,
- 33:34Speaker 3: play this goofy game. 303-691-1MIX, which translates to 303-691-1649. Now listen,
- 33:36Speaker 3: if you get placed on hold, don't hang up. It
- 33:38Speaker 3: means you're in. And get off those speaker phones and
- 33:50Speaker 3: Bluetooth so we can hear you. Now the prize this
- 33:53Speaker 3: week is epic.
- 33:54Speaker 5: Yeah, because we've got friends all over the places, even
- 33:58Speaker 5: in low places.
- 33:59Speaker 6: So Garth Brooks at Ball.
- 34:00Speaker 5: Arena is where you're going to win.
- 34:02Speaker 2: What do you mean?
- 34:02Speaker 6: That was there.
- 34:03Speaker 5: It was there. You're going to score a pair of
- 34:05Speaker 5: tickets to see the one, the only Garth Brooks this weekend.
- 34:08Speaker 6: So a heck of a prize up for grabs all week.
- 34:11Speaker 2: So good.
- 34:12Speaker 4: Oh, my God.
- 34:13Speaker 3: You want these tickets. I've been to a Garth Brooks concert.
- 34:15Speaker 3: There's nothing like it.
- 34:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:17Speaker 2: All right, nothing like it.
- 34:18Speaker 6: Bucket list for me, for sure.
- 34:19Speaker 3: I mean, even if you're not really into country, I mean,
- 34:22Speaker 3: iconic name, you know his songs.
- 34:25Speaker 5: Not only that, he is one of, from what I understand,
- 34:27Speaker 5: the best entertainers out there.
- 34:29Speaker 6: He will put on a show you will not forget.
- 34:31Speaker 3: So passionate still about what he does. I hope you
- 34:34Speaker 3: win these tickets today. 303-691-1649 will get you in the
- 34:39Speaker 3: studios for Fast Five.
- 34:41Speaker 4: Looks like Carla made it through.
- 34:43Speaker 2: Hi, Carla.
- 34:43Speaker 5: Good morning.
- 34:43Speaker 2: Good morning.
- 34:44Speaker 7: Good morning.
- 34:45Speaker 4: What did you do this weekend?
- 34:47Speaker 7: Got ready for a vacation this coming weekend.
- 34:50Speaker 4: Where are you headed off to?
- 34:52Speaker 1: New Mexico.
- 34:53Speaker 2: Are you really? What are you doing there?
- 34:55Speaker 7: Going to see some family and just to get away.
- 34:59Speaker 4: Well, good for you. That'll be great.
- 35:01Speaker 3: Weather's still nice. I think it's going to be 90s
- 35:03Speaker 3: this weekend, so easy drive.
- 35:06Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 35:07Speaker 2: That'll be nice.
- 35:08Speaker 3: The note on my screen here says you also cleaned
- 35:10Speaker 3: the house all weekend.
- 35:12Speaker 7: Well, yeah, but, you know, that was kind of boring.
- 35:15Speaker 3: Yeah, that is boring.
- 35:16Speaker 6: You're sick. I don't want to talk about that.
- 35:19Speaker 4: Yeah, we did a little of that yesterday.
- 35:21Speaker 3: Sunday's kind of the catch-up day where we clean and stuff.
- 35:23Speaker 2: It's the worst.
- 35:24Speaker 7: Oh, barf.
- 35:25Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 35:25Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 35:26Speaker 2: Barf town.
- 35:27Speaker 3: Alright, sweet Clara, I'm gonna give you a topic and
- 35:29Speaker 3: you got ten seconds to give me five things, okay? Okay.
- 35:34Speaker 2: No cheating and no help.
- 35:37Speaker 3: And for the first one here, I need you to
- 35:39Speaker 3: give me five fictional characters, they have to be fictional,
- 35:43Speaker 3: that live in a forest.
- 35:45Speaker 2: Go!
- 35:46Speaker 8: Snow White, the Seven Dwarfs, and.
- 35:52Speaker 7: Esmeralda, and.
- 35:58Speaker 3: I guess you could have started reeling off. We'll count
- 36:02Speaker 3: the seven dwarves as a blanket.
- 36:04Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 36:04Speaker 4: Because you could have just said sleepy, dopey, sneezy. If
- 36:08Speaker 4: you had done that, I would have given it to you.
- 36:11Speaker 7: Oh, no.
- 36:12Speaker 2: Winnie the Pooh.
- 36:13Speaker 5: Lives in the forest, right?
- 36:15Speaker 2: Tarzan, Robin Hood, I think.
- 36:17Speaker 11: Smokey Bear.
- 36:17Speaker 6: You did a great job, though.
- 36:18Speaker 5: He was impressive.
- 36:20Speaker 2: Not bad, Carla.
- 36:21Speaker 3: All right.
- 36:22Speaker 2: You're so sweet.
- 36:23Speaker 7: Well, thank you.
- 36:24Speaker 2: Safe travels. Bye.
- 36:25Speaker 7: Bye, Carla.
- 36:26Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm not going to give her the seven doors.
- 36:29Speaker 2: She's all five. You got to name them. You can't
- 36:32Speaker 2: do that.
- 36:32Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 36:33Speaker 2: We make up the rules as we go along.
- 36:35Speaker 4: Don't worry about it.
- 36:36Speaker 2: All right. Michaela.
- 36:39Speaker 4: Hi, Michaela.
- 36:41Speaker 7: Oh, hello.
- 36:43Speaker 2: Hello.
- 36:43Speaker 4: You're so surprised.
- 36:45Speaker 2: Hello.
- 36:46Speaker 8: I've never gotten in before.
- 36:48Speaker 5: Hooray, a newbie.
- 36:52Speaker 4: So you played pickleball all weekend, I see.
- 36:55Speaker 7: Yeah, I did.
- 36:56Speaker 2: Do you have.
- 36:58Speaker 6: A fun name for your team, Mikayla?
- 37:00Speaker 8: No, it's usually just for fun. Me and my husband
- 37:03Speaker 8: go to the court at our apartment and we just play.
- 37:06Speaker 3: Oh, that's great.
- 37:07Speaker 5: You guys should come up with a team name, though,
- 37:09Speaker 5: especially if you're married. Yeah. That's a fun little nighttime activity, right?
- 37:15Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 37:16Speaker 3: That sounds like some nice little bonding time. Although I
- 37:19Speaker 3: feel like somehow it would end up really competitive and
- 37:21Speaker 3: you'd be fighting at the end of it, but maybe
- 37:23Speaker 3: that's just me.
- 37:23Speaker 5: Because they're on a team together.
- 37:24Speaker 2: Maybe that's just me.
- 37:26Speaker 7: No, we play against each other.
- 37:27Speaker 2: Oh, you play against each other.
- 37:29Speaker 11: Oh.
- 37:30Speaker 7: It is very competitive.
- 37:31Speaker 2: Yeah, that's all right.
- 37:33Speaker 4: But then you'd like the heat of the moment, then
- 37:35Speaker 4: you guys embrace and make out.
- 37:37Speaker 6: Right there on the court.
- 37:38Speaker 2: It could go that way, too. I don't know.
- 37:40Speaker 4: And then you can use your paddle and smack his
- 37:41Speaker 4: little bottom.
- 37:42Speaker 2: Okay.
- 37:43Speaker 7: Okay, maybe throw it at his face.
- 37:45Speaker 4: I got this all laid out for you, Michaela.
- 37:47Speaker 3: All right, in ten seconds, Pickleballer, ten seconds. I need fictional, again,
- 37:54Speaker 3: five fictional characters that are.
- 37:58Speaker 2: Teachers, go!
- 38:01Speaker 7: Miss Frizzle.
- 38:03Speaker 11: Yep.
- 38:06Speaker 7: Oh, Lord.
- 38:09Speaker 11: Oh, Lord.
- 38:09Speaker 2: I know.
- 38:12Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 38:13Speaker 4: You probably got one of the strongest ones.
- 38:15Speaker 5: I love how that's the one everyone names. Like, she's
- 38:17Speaker 5: clearly made an impact on all of us.
- 38:19Speaker 4: And I think Mr. Feeney would be my second one
- 38:21Speaker 4: from Boy Meets World. And there's many more.
- 38:24Speaker 6: Absolutely.
- 38:25Speaker 4: Michaela, thanks for trying. Have a great day.
- 38:29Speaker 5: Okay, bye.
- 38:29Speaker 2: Well, see you later.
- 38:34Speaker 4: Stephanie.
- 38:35Speaker 2: Morning.
- 38:38Speaker 3: Well, how do you do, Stephanie? How was your weekend?
- 38:42Speaker 7: Oh, God, just the pool and cleaning. Nothing too extravagant.
- 38:45Speaker 2: Not too bad.
- 38:46Speaker 3: Did you take any of your laundry out to the
- 38:47Speaker 3: pool and just wash it in the pool while you're
- 38:49Speaker 3: out there?
- 38:50Speaker 7: No, I should have. Would have been a lot more efficient.
- 38:52Speaker 3: That would have been great.
- 38:54Speaker 4: Could you imagine walking out to the pool and there's
- 38:56Speaker 4: somebody washing their pants in there?
- 38:57Speaker 6: With, like, the pool stick.
- 38:59Speaker 2: It's all soapy and bubbly. Oh, my God. What pool?
- 39:06Speaker 7: I went to a friend's pool, actually, over in Bomar.
- 39:08Speaker 1: So that was nice.
- 39:09Speaker 2: Nice change of pace.
- 39:10Speaker 4: Aren't they bougie?
- 39:11Speaker 7: Yeah, I know, right?
- 39:13Speaker 3: All right, are you ready to play a little Fast
- 39:15Speaker 3: Five action? Garth Brooks.
- 39:16Speaker 5: I am.
- 39:17Speaker 4: Tickets up for grabs. Okay, no sequels, okay? No sequels.
- 39:20Speaker 2: All right. No help, no cheating.
- 39:22Speaker 4: Ten seconds. I need five movies starring Tom Cruise.
- 39:26Speaker 11: Go.
- 39:26Speaker 2: No.
- 39:30Speaker 7: Impossible. Mission Impossible 2. I don't know. I know all
- 39:39Speaker 7: these movies, too.
- 39:40Speaker 5: I know, right?
- 39:40Speaker 2: Jerry Maguire.
- 39:42Speaker 3: Risky Business, Top Gun is kind of a big one.
- 39:45Speaker 7: My kid's favorite, Top Gun. Yep, should have named that one.
- 39:48Speaker 2: Cocktail.
- 39:49Speaker 6: I think of cocktail.
- 39:50Speaker 5: I know. That's the one I think of.
- 39:51Speaker 4: Mummy, Vanilla Sky. Well, you really crapped the bed on that.
- 39:55Speaker 2: One, Stephanie.
- 39:56Speaker 3: Darn it.
- 39:56Speaker 7: I know.
- 39:57Speaker 2: Sorry.
- 39:57Speaker 7: It's all right.
- 39:58Speaker 4: Go live your life.
- 39:59Speaker 2: Have a great day.
- 40:00Speaker 7: Thanks, you too.
- 40:01Speaker 1: Bye.
- 40:01Speaker 2: Okay, bye. Kelly.
- 40:05Speaker 10: Hey.
- 40:07Speaker 5: Hey, girl.
- 40:08Speaker 3: How are you guys?
- 40:10Speaker 4: Well, we're super dupes, but how are you?
- 40:13Speaker 7: I'm good.
- 40:14Speaker 1: I'm excited to be on air, but I'm nervous.
- 40:16Speaker 4: Are you freaking out right now?
- 40:17Speaker 8: I'm freaking out. I really want these tickets.
- 40:20Speaker 4: This is a big ticket, Kelly.
- 40:22Speaker 3: Like, when I saw the note come in that said
- 40:24Speaker 3: that we were giving these away, I was like, no way.
- 40:27Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
- 40:27Speaker 8: My boyfriend will, like, freak out.
- 40:29Speaker 4: Yes. And that's a good thing.
- 40:32Speaker 2: A good freak out.
- 40:34Speaker 8: And we have no money because I'm waiting for my
- 40:37Speaker 8: first paycheck to come in.
- 40:38Speaker 1: On my new job.
- 40:40Speaker 8: So it would be a very welcome little adventure.
- 40:44Speaker 2: Sure. What's your new job?
- 40:47Speaker 7: I work for.
- 40:48Speaker 8: Master Services, which is a local commercial property maintenance company.
- 40:52Speaker 5: Okay.
- 40:53Speaker 8: They do great work.
- 40:54Speaker 2: Well, good.
- 40:54Speaker 8: Yeah, I'm doing business development for them.
- 40:56Speaker 1: Okay.
- 40:57Speaker 5: Okay.
- 40:57Speaker 4: Well, congrats on the new gig.
- 40:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:00Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 41:00Speaker 4: Do you see a future with this boyfriend?
- 41:02Speaker 2: Is this long-term?
- 41:05Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean, I think so. He's a lot younger
- 41:08Speaker 8: than me, so he's still in training wheels. But I
- 41:12Speaker 8: think at least he's trainable, right?
- 41:16Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 41:17Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. He's young and gooey, gooey, gooey.
- 41:20Speaker 4: You can mold him however you want.
- 41:22Speaker 5: How much younger?
- 41:23Speaker 2: Yeah, how much younger?
- 41:23Speaker 6: How much younger, Kelly?
- 41:25Speaker 7: I'm 15 years.
- 41:26Speaker 8: I'm 46 and he's 31. Good for you. Yay! That's
- 41:32Speaker 8: not my intention.
- 41:33Speaker 2: No, but you know.
- 41:34Speaker 8: I was like, no, but you know.
- 41:37Speaker 2: But yes.
- 41:37Speaker 5: It's funny how like when you can feel it though, right?
- 41:40Speaker 5: Like when you feel a connection with someone like that,
- 41:42Speaker 5: age doesn't really matter.
- 41:44Speaker 1: So.
- 41:44Speaker 7: A hundred percent.
- 41:46Speaker 8: And you know what? There's a lot of people my
- 41:48Speaker 8: age who are really immature and there's a lot of
- 41:52Speaker 8: people in their thirties that are, surprisingly very mature so
- 41:56Speaker 8: right you know i think it's very individual wow what.
- 41:59Speaker 5: I want to do right now kelly i want to
- 42:01Speaker 5: give you a standing ovation.
- 42:02Speaker 3: Yeah katie's been looking for a man for years she
- 42:06Speaker 3: can't find anything amazing she even went all the way
- 42:09Speaker 3: down to like 18 and she can't.
- 42:12Speaker 5: Wait what did you say about 18 yeah she likes
- 42:16Speaker 5: 18 year old i did No, she doesn't.
- 42:18Speaker 2: Hey, they're legal. It's all good.
- 42:20Speaker 5: Oh, it's not out there.
- 42:21Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh.
- 42:22Speaker 8: Well, considering my son is almost 25, it's a little,
- 42:25Speaker 8: you know.
- 42:26Speaker 2: Oh, is he single?
- 42:28Speaker 5: Jeremy, stop it. My daughter is 23, Kelly, so I
- 42:33Speaker 5: do not go for the 18 years.
- 42:35Speaker 2: So funny.
- 42:36Speaker 8: I mean, he is into parkour, and he's a lieutenant
- 42:39Speaker 8: with the fire department in Washington.
- 42:41Speaker 2: There you go, Katie. There you go.
- 42:44Speaker 3: Boy, did she just perk up. All right, Kelly, we
- 42:46Speaker 3: got to play this goofy game. Nobody cares about your
- 42:48Speaker 3: love life, all right?
- 42:49Speaker 5: No, we do. We absolutely do.
- 42:51Speaker 7: And we wish you the.
- 42:52Speaker 10: Best, Kelly.
- 42:52Speaker 4: No, I think it's super sexy. Good for you guys.
- 42:54Speaker 6: Good for you.
- 42:55Speaker 2: All right, Kelly, are you ready?
- 42:57Speaker 8: I'm so ready.
- 42:59Speaker 4: Your letter is N, like nuts.
- 43:05Speaker 1: All right. N.
- 43:07Speaker 3: In 10 seconds, I need five companies that start with
- 43:12Speaker 3: that letter N.
- 43:12Speaker 8: Go.
- 43:13Speaker 1: Go.
- 43:17Speaker 3: I don't even know what you're saying because your phone's
- 43:27Speaker 3: cutting out so bad, but I don't think you got it.
- 43:29Speaker 6: I love how you're just making things up.
- 43:30Speaker 8: I was so close.
- 43:32Speaker 3: Your boyfriend's so young, he probably still plays with, like,
- 43:35Speaker 3: Nerf balls.
- 43:36Speaker 4: So you could have said Nerf.
- 43:39Speaker 3: Play.
- 43:39Speaker 8: Got to get him some Legos.
- 43:40Speaker 5: You guys definitely Netflix and chill.
- 43:42Speaker 3: Kelly, we're going to let you go because your phone's
- 43:44Speaker 3: kind of cutting out. But thank you so much. Thanks
- 43:46Speaker 3: for the great call.
- 43:47Speaker 2: Oh, my God. Are we going to get a winner? Courtney.
- 43:49Speaker 5: Hello.
- 43:51Speaker 2: Hi. Can you hurry up and win this?
- 43:53Speaker 7: Please. I will try.
- 43:55Speaker 1: I really want these tickets.
- 43:56Speaker 2: You really want them, too?
- 43:57Speaker 1: I almost bought them when they came out.
- 43:59Speaker 3: Oh, now you're like, I want to win this, too. Yeah.
- 44:03Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 44:03Speaker 1: All right.
- 44:04Speaker 4: Did you have a good weekend?
- 44:06Speaker 1: I did. My son had his first football game this weekend,
- 44:09Speaker 1: and he had a blowout.
- 44:10Speaker 2: Oh, nice.
- 44:11Speaker 1: Or a shutout or whatever those are called.
- 44:13Speaker 4: Yeah, whatever.
- 44:14Speaker 2: Shutout, blowout.
- 44:14Speaker 5: They shut the other team out. They blanked out.
- 44:16Speaker 4: A blowout is when you have too much chili and,
- 44:18Speaker 4: you know, you don't make.
- 44:19Speaker 7: It to the game.
- 44:20Speaker 2: That's a blowout.
- 44:21Speaker 7: That's right.
- 44:22Speaker 3: All right, Courtney, your letter is N like nuts. I
- 44:25Speaker 3: need five companies that start with that letter N.
- 44:28Speaker 4: Come on now.
- 44:29Speaker 10: Go.
- 44:29Speaker 7: Okay. Neutrogena, Nesquik.
- 44:35Speaker 4: I just said one.
- 44:37Speaker 1: I know, and I was yelling at my children.
- 44:39Speaker 5: Nerf, Nerf, Nerf, Nerf.
- 44:44Speaker 7: Nerf, yes.
- 44:45Speaker 1: My kids play with those all the time.
- 44:47Speaker 4: A lot of kids play Nintendo, too.
- 44:50Speaker 2: All right, Courtney.
- 44:51Speaker 7: Oh, yes, they have those, too.
- 44:53Speaker 4: Have a good day, Court Court.
- 44:55Speaker 1: Well, hopefully the next person gets it because there's four. Bye.
- 44:59Speaker 2: Bye.
- 45:00Speaker 6: Oh, she's so sad.
- 45:04Speaker 2: Ty.
- 45:05Speaker 1: Hello?
- 45:07Speaker 7: Ty.
- 45:07Speaker 10: Hi there.
- 45:09Speaker 2: Hold on, Ty. Yep, I'm here. There he is.
- 45:10Speaker 1: Hi, Ty.
- 45:10Speaker 5: How's it going?
- 45:11Speaker 3: Good, buddy.
- 45:12Speaker 7: Hello.
- 45:13Speaker 3: Well, we're wanting to wrap this up now, Ty.
- 45:16Speaker 2: It's getting to that point.
- 45:17Speaker 1: Do it.
- 45:18Speaker 3: You ready?
- 45:20Speaker 5: I'm ready.
- 45:21Speaker 2: All right.
- 45:24Speaker 4: In 10 seconds. I need five companies that start with
- 45:28Speaker 4: the letter N.
- 45:29Speaker 7: Go.
- 45:32Speaker 10: Netflix, Nike, Nintendo, Nissan, Nokia, Nutella.
- 45:38Speaker 1: We got six.
- 45:38Speaker 7: I think we made it.
- 45:40Speaker 2: Well, somebody's full of themselves.
- 45:42Speaker 5: I know you even had time to say, I did it.
- 45:44Speaker 2: He's like, whatever, let's go.
- 45:45Speaker 10: I'm the winner.
- 45:46Speaker 1: I had some time to think and practice. Thankfully, those
- 45:50Speaker 1: other people didn't get it.
- 45:51Speaker 2: They helped you out there, Ty.
- 45:53Speaker 4: Ty, it's not official yet. Do you know what you're
- 45:56Speaker 4: supposed to say?
- 45:59Speaker 1: Play the Winnie Winnie song is.
- 46:01Speaker 3: That close enough yeah Ty you're going to be going
- 46:06Speaker 3: to one of the biggest concerts in town dude you
- 46:08Speaker 3: just won a couple tickets to go see Mr. Garth
- 46:10Speaker 3: Brooks at Ball Arena.
- 46:13Speaker 7: Let's go love me some Garth thank you very.
- 46:15Speaker 3: Much yeah buddy fantastic alright I'm going to put you
- 46:19Speaker 3: on hold dude we'll come back and tell you how
- 46:21Speaker 3: to get those.
- 46:21Speaker 1: Tickets sounds good have a great day thank you you.
- 46:24Speaker 4: Too man that's fantastic I can't wait to.
- 46:27Speaker 6: Give them all away all week.
- 46:30Speaker 1: Jerry, Katie, and Josh.
- 46:32Speaker 8: Mix 100.
- 46:32Speaker 2: Let's talk about your phone.
- 46:34Speaker 3: A couple of big stories out this morning about your phone.
- 46:37Speaker 3: One has to do with emojis and the other one
- 46:39Speaker 3: has to do with the backgrounds on your phone. The
- 46:42Speaker 3: first one with the emojis, I guess Gen Z is
- 46:47Speaker 3: declaring that they have officially now canceled the thumbs up emoji.
- 46:54Speaker 3: They don't want to ever see it again. It is
- 46:56Speaker 3: officially canceled.
- 46:57Speaker 6: Can they just cancel it?
- 46:58Speaker 2: According to the Zers. That's a very powerful group.
- 47:01Speaker 6: Is it gone?
- 47:02Speaker 2: It's still on there.
- 47:03Speaker 6: I'm still going to use it then. They can't tell
- 47:04Speaker 6: me what to do.
- 47:05Speaker 4: All day long I'm going to use it. Are you
- 47:07Speaker 4: kidding me?
- 47:07Speaker 6: I may just send it to them just to get
- 47:09Speaker 6: them all riled up.
- 47:10Speaker 2: Just one?
- 47:10Speaker 4: I'm going to send the whole screen filled with thumbs up.
- 47:12Speaker 2: They can suck it.
- 47:14Speaker 3: Anyway, they say it comes across as cold, dismissive, or
- 47:19Speaker 3: passive aggressive.
- 47:21Speaker 4: And I say, yep.
- 47:23Speaker 6: Yeah, it does.
- 47:24Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely. That's why we use it.
- 47:27Speaker 5: I use the heart so much because the thumbs up
- 47:31Speaker 5: to me feels like I don't like the person. Even
- 47:33Speaker 5: though I'm liking their status or whatever they post, when
- 47:37Speaker 5: I use it, I feel like it's such a derogatory
- 47:39Speaker 5: thing to do.
- 47:40Speaker 6: I really do.
- 47:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I think I don't even do the like. I'm
- 47:45Speaker 3: not even thinking about it in regards to liking things
- 47:47Speaker 3: on Facebook or Instagram, anything like that.
- 47:50Speaker 4: I'm just like, that's how I end a conversation on text.
- 47:52Speaker 2: You get the thumbs up. It's a great end.
- 47:55Speaker 4: This is where we end things.
- 47:57Speaker 2: I don't want to communicate anymore.
- 47:59Speaker 4: We're good to go. See you later. This jet is
- 48:03Speaker 4: flying off the aircraft carrier.
- 48:05Speaker 2: I'm out of here.
- 48:05Speaker 6: Maybe you could just send a plane then. This jet
- 48:07Speaker 6: is flying off, right? Maybe you could change it up
- 48:10Speaker 6: if they get offended so easy.
- 48:12Speaker 3: I will say the Gen Xers have jumped into the
- 48:15Speaker 3: comments when it comes to this. And they say that
- 48:18Speaker 3: they have no plans. on retiring the thumbs up anytime soon.
- 48:23Speaker 3: So it is sticking around for sure with the Xers.
- 48:25Speaker 4: But that's fine. The X generation is a little more blunt.
- 48:28Speaker 11: Exactly.
- 48:29Speaker 2: They do what they want.
- 48:29Speaker 5: We're done.
- 48:30Speaker 6: Yeah, they really don't care.
- 48:32Speaker 4: I'll send you back the middle finger and a thumbs up.
- 48:34Speaker 2: Zers.
- 48:35Speaker 6: Right.
- 48:36Speaker 3: But anyway, if you've got a Zer in your life,
- 48:37Speaker 3: be aware, be careful, because they don't want the thumbs
- 48:40Speaker 3: up anymore.
- 48:41Speaker 5: No.
- 48:41Speaker 4: Because you're being cold to them.
- 48:43Speaker 5: It just doesn't feel right.
- 48:45Speaker 6: You make them cry.
- 48:47Speaker 4: Okay, so talking about your phone continued, part two.
- 48:51Speaker 3: I judged a lot of people this weekend at wine
- 48:54Speaker 3: time because there was a lot of, hey, let's get
- 48:56Speaker 3: a picture moments, right?
- 48:57Speaker 2: So many, so many. That's why we do the damn thing, okay?
- 49:00Speaker 4: We'll be out there meeting our listeners.
- 49:02Speaker 3: There was many times where they came up and they
- 49:04Speaker 3: flipped open their phone to get a picture with us,
- 49:06Speaker 3: and I immediately checked out their background or their lock screen.
- 49:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 49:10Speaker 3: There was a guy that had his lock screen was
- 49:12Speaker 3: the Kia emblem, and I was like, really?
- 49:15Speaker 4: I mean, it's a solid brand, I guess. It's a
- 49:17Speaker 4: reliable vehicle.
- 49:17Speaker 2: But I'm like, really? No, I drive a Ford.
- 49:19Speaker 4: You're rocking a kia emblem maybe he works for all
- 49:22Speaker 4: the emblems.
- 49:23Speaker 3: Yeah yeah there's that but i immediately started judging them
- 49:25Speaker 3: i'm like really a kia there was another guy uh
- 49:28Speaker 3: who came up his background his lock screen actually he
- 49:31Speaker 3: flipped it open was a piece of lasagna and i
- 49:33Speaker 3: was like Okay.
- 49:35Speaker 5: Was he single?
- 49:36Speaker 3: I'm not mad at that. This dude apparently loves lasagna.
- 49:39Speaker 6: I like that. He's proud of it like that.
- 49:42Speaker 2: And then there was another woman who came up.
- 49:44Speaker 3: And I don't know. I thought you for sure saw it, Katie,
- 49:46Speaker 3: because she did a selfie thing.
- 49:47Speaker 2: But before she.
- 49:48Speaker 4: Did the selfie, she had her phone out.
- 49:50Speaker 3: And it was this jacked dude on her screen in
- 49:53Speaker 3: like a little skimpy Speedo. Yeah. And I immediately started
- 49:57Speaker 3: judging her for that. I'm like, is that what you
- 49:59Speaker 3: want on your phone? Like every time somebody sees you
- 50:01Speaker 3: open your phone?
- 50:02Speaker 5: Because someone's going to see it like you did.
- 50:04Speaker 2: I saw it. I'm like, I don't want to look
- 50:06Speaker 2: at that.
- 50:06Speaker 4: But, you know, I guess she's into these hot dudes.
- 50:09Speaker 3: Well, it's funny because I come in this morning and
- 50:12Speaker 3: there's this thread.
- 50:13Speaker 4: I think it's coming off of Reddit.
- 50:16Speaker 3: Where they're talking about about 15% of people admit that
- 50:19Speaker 3: they secretly judge other people based on their phone's background.
- 50:25Speaker 4: I feel like that number is pretty small. The 15%?
- 50:27Speaker 6: I feel like more people are judging.
- 50:29Speaker 2: It's got to be more.
- 50:29Speaker 4: It's got to be like 80%. I'm totally judging you.
- 50:32Speaker 3: It goes on to say, what are the most popular
- 50:34Speaker 3: and safe background images? Family members, especially your children. Even that,
- 50:40Speaker 3: I'm like, get your, have some fun on there.
- 50:42Speaker 2: Make it fun.
- 50:42Speaker 5: Well, what if it's a fun picture of your kids?
- 50:45Speaker 1: Huh?
- 50:46Speaker 6: Not okay?
- 50:47Speaker 5: All right, keep going, Jared.
- 50:48Speaker 2: I personally don't do that.
- 50:49Speaker 4: But whatever.
- 50:50Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 50:51Speaker 4: Nature's in landscapes.
- 50:52Speaker 2: You got waterfalls.
- 50:53Speaker 6: I have a waterfall and my kid.
- 50:54Speaker 5: That's why I'm like, I have both of those things.
- 50:57Speaker 2: You do have the gnaw on yours.
- 50:58Speaker 5: But the gnaw is perfect because it's her and her
- 51:00Speaker 5: best friend, Louie, and they're making the same pose as
- 51:03Speaker 5: the aliens outside the convention center.
- 51:06Speaker 2: Oh, that's kind of my friend.
- 51:07Speaker 6: So it's the aliens in the convention center.
- 51:08Speaker 4: Are those aliens or are they just people dancing?
- 51:10Speaker 5: They're the aliens, right?
- 51:11Speaker 2: I don't think they're aliens. I don't think they're aliens.
- 51:12Speaker 2: I think they're aliens.
- 51:14Speaker 4: No, I think they're just people dancing.
- 51:16Speaker 1: The white guys.
- 51:16Speaker 6: The white aliens outside the convention.
- 51:18Speaker 2: I can see where you would think those are aliens.
- 51:20Speaker 6: Yeah, I just totally thought they were aliens.
- 51:22Speaker 2: But anyway, so I have that. I'm judging you right now.
- 51:23Speaker 6: And then Fish Creek Falls.
- 51:25Speaker 5: It's my favorite waterfall.
- 51:26Speaker 6: I think those are perfect backgrounds for the phone.
- 51:28Speaker 4: That's cute.
- 51:29Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 51:30Speaker 3: Mine, personally, I have Hulk Hogan fighting RoboCop. That's probably
- 51:36Speaker 3: one of the greatest phone backgrounds ever.
- 51:38Speaker 2: Did you make that?
- 51:40Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 51:41Speaker 3: And then pets made the list. It's safe to put
- 51:43Speaker 3: your pets on there because everyone's like, oh, my God,
- 51:45Speaker 3: let me.
- 51:45Speaker 5: See your corgi.
- 51:46Speaker 2: They're short little links.
- 51:48Speaker 5: Oh, they're little butts.
- 51:49Speaker 6: They're little butts and links.
- 51:53Speaker 4: Their romantic partner.
- 51:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 51:55Speaker 4: If you're really into somebody.
- 51:56Speaker 6: The first couple months.
- 51:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 51:58Speaker 3: Every now and then I'll throw one up of me
- 52:00Speaker 3: and knick-knack and then I look at it and I'm like,
- 52:02Speaker 3: get me back to like, where's my He-Man background?
- 52:04Speaker 6: I want to see him fighting Robocop.
- 52:06Speaker 3: And then speaking of that, they say some of the
- 52:08Speaker 3: safe ones, pop culture, a favorite movie, a TV show, or.
- 52:11Speaker 4: A music act. Yeah.
- 52:15Speaker 3: 12% of phone judges say that if you have a
- 52:17Speaker 3: boring option on there, it means you're uninspired or unengaged
- 52:21Speaker 3: and you lack the.
- 52:22Speaker 4: Ability to be expressive or creative.
- 52:26Speaker 2: All right.
- 52:26Speaker 4: And then a large chunk of people say, you know what?
- 52:28Speaker 4: This is all completely meaningless.
- 52:30Speaker 2: Leave me alone.
- 52:32Speaker 6: Don't look at my phone, bro.
- 52:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 52:34Speaker 3: That is probably the Gen X subset again.
- 52:37Speaker 2: Like, this means nothing.
- 52:39Speaker 5: Younger millennials in Gen Z just have the privacy screen,
- 52:42Speaker 5: so you can't see their phone.
- 52:43Speaker 2: That's what you have, right, Josh? I just got the
- 52:45Speaker 2: privacy screen, and I love it. Exactly.
- 52:47Speaker 6: People can't see it.
- 52:48Speaker 2: It's really good.
- 52:49Speaker 6: So judge away.
- 52:50Speaker 4: Nobody can see my Hulk Hogan fighting RoboCop.
- 52:54Speaker 2: Yeah. Which is too bad.
- 52:55Speaker 4: I'm taking the screen off immediately.
- 52:57Speaker 2: Idiot and wife. Come on.
- 53:00Speaker 3: Idiot and wife.
- 53:03Speaker 2: He's an idiot and she's his wife. Really harsh. Idiot
- 53:09Speaker 2: and wife.
- 53:10Speaker 11: Idiot and wife. He's an idiot and she's his wife.
- 53:17Speaker 3: Yep, time for a little idiot and wife segment here
- 53:20Speaker 3: with JKJ. I talk about a little dilemma going on
- 53:23Speaker 3: in my household between sweet knick-knack and myself, and I
- 53:27Speaker 3: want you guys to sound off and pick some sides.
- 53:30Speaker 2: Are you on side idiot? Are you on side wife?
- 53:32Speaker 4: Here's our phone number, 303-691-1649. I feel like this one's
- 53:34Speaker 4: pretty simple.
- 53:35Speaker 3: It's fairly cut and dry, but in-house... I'm in charge
- 53:45Speaker 3: of feeding Goldie Fawn each and every night, okay?
- 53:47Speaker 4: Our sweet dog. Our little rescue that we've had for
- 53:50Speaker 4: seven years now. Sweet Goldie Fawn.
- 53:52Speaker 2: I feed the dog.
- 53:54Speaker 3: I give the dog water. Nicole really doesn't think about.
- 53:57Speaker 2: It much, okay?
- 53:58Speaker 4: Because I take care of it.
- 54:00Speaker 3: Well, she came at me the other day because apparently
- 54:03Speaker 3: she found out that I have not been washing the
- 54:05Speaker 3: bowls of Goldie Fawn. I don't really wash her food bowl,
- 54:09Speaker 3: and I don't wash her water bowl either.
- 54:11Speaker 4: But maybe once a month, okay?
- 54:14Speaker 2: Okay.
- 54:14Speaker 4: Toss it in the sink, throw a little Dawn in there.
- 54:16Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 54:17Speaker 4: Scrub-a-dub, and put it back on the floor. So maybe
- 54:20Speaker 4: once a month, okay? She's a dog.
- 54:22Speaker 2: Ooh, Knick-Knack found that out.
- 54:25Speaker 3: And she came in hot and said, I need to
- 54:28Speaker 3: be washing that dog bowl each and every day.
- 54:32Speaker 5: Every time?
- 54:33Speaker 3: Every day, the dog's bowl should be washed and cleaned.
- 54:37Speaker 4: She said, how would you like it?
- 54:40Speaker 3: If you were eating off dirty plates and drinking out
- 54:42Speaker 3: of dirty glasses each and every day, she says it's
- 54:45Speaker 3: not hygienic.
- 54:47Speaker 4: We're going to have a sick dog. You've got to
- 54:49Speaker 4: clean it up.
- 54:50Speaker 5: Oh, Katie, believe me. I was like, the.
- 54:53Speaker 4: Dog will go outside and eat cat turds.
- 54:55Speaker 5: What do you mean?
- 54:56Speaker 2: I know. Dogs are not germophobes, okay? No, they're not.
- 54:59Speaker 3: They've been eating out of bowls forever, and they're doing
- 55:03Speaker 3: just fine.
- 55:03Speaker 4: And to me, the water's constantly being refreshed, right?
- 55:06Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 55:06Speaker 3: Because I'll refill it and put it back on the floor.
- 55:08Speaker 5: And do you do the thing where when you fill
- 55:10Speaker 5: the water, you swirl it?
- 55:11Speaker 2: I'll do a little swirly swirling.
- 55:13Speaker 5: You have to empty the bowl. that out right so
- 55:15Speaker 5: you get all the drool out of it no no.
- 55:17Speaker 3: Every day she's like run your finger in there and
- 55:19Speaker 3: see how filmy and slimy it is so i did
- 55:21Speaker 3: and it was a little filmy a little slimy but
- 55:24Speaker 3: the dog's doing just fine the dog doesn't care and
- 55:27Speaker 3: my argument was give me evidence of the problem right
- 55:30Speaker 3: now show me the sick dog yeah the dog is
- 55:34Speaker 3: fine the dog's great dog's in a great mood dog's
- 55:36Speaker 3: healthy but then she pulled up all these stats online
- 55:40Speaker 3: from the fda and all these vets and everything They do,
- 55:43Speaker 3: in fact, say that water bowls should be washed daily.
- 55:46Speaker 3: Food bowls should be washed after every use. The food
- 55:49Speaker 3: itself can have bacteria in it. Every now and then
- 55:53Speaker 3: I give her a little scoop of wet food. So
- 55:55Speaker 3: the wet food in there could, you know, kind of
- 55:57Speaker 3: solidify on the.
- 55:58Speaker 4: Sides and stuff.
- 56:00Speaker 3: And now don't get me wrong. Like if I go
- 56:02Speaker 3: down there and it's a bowl is kind of crusty
- 56:03Speaker 3: and gross. If it hasn't reached the month mark, I'll
- 56:07Speaker 3: wash it out.
- 56:07Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 56:07Speaker 4: Yeah. But the argument in the house right now is.
- 56:12Speaker 3: That I should be washing the bowl at least every day,
- 56:16Speaker 3: if not every other day.
- 56:18Speaker 4: Whereas I'm at a month now, and the dog is fine.
- 56:21Speaker 4: So whose side are you on? Idiot or wife?
- 56:25Speaker 3: I know a million of you have dogs out there listening.
- 56:28Speaker 3: And let's be logical about this, too.
- 56:30Speaker 2: Like, be honest.
- 56:31Speaker 5: Like, you can look at.
- 56:32Speaker 4: The FDA site and read about.
- 56:35Speaker 2: It, but real life.
- 56:37Speaker 4: Who is watching their dog bowl each and every day?
- 56:40Speaker 5: You be honest about it.
- 56:41Speaker 4: Ain't nobody doing that, right?
- 56:43Speaker 5: Yeah, it's been a long time since I've had an animal,
- 56:47Speaker 5: but when I did, it was not every day.
- 56:49Speaker 6: There's no way.
- 56:50Speaker 5: Maybe every week. I think that maybe I did it
- 56:53Speaker 5: once a week, but there's no way I did it
- 56:55Speaker 5: every day.
- 56:56Speaker 4: So give us a call. I want to hear from you.
- 56:58Speaker 4: Phone lines are already ringing. Whose side are you on?
- 57:01Speaker 1: Idiot?
- 57:02Speaker 2: I got to change the name of this thing.
- 57:03Speaker 3: Idiot who's washing the dog bowl once a month, wife
- 57:08Speaker 3: who's saying every day, and you could stretch it to
- 57:11Speaker 3: maybe every other day. I want to hear it from you.
- 57:14Speaker 3: Let's take some sides. Let's end this argument in my
- 57:17Speaker 3: house because it's driving me nuts.
- 57:19Speaker 2: Idiot and wife. Not again.
- 57:21Speaker 11: Idiot and wife.
- 57:24Speaker 2: He's an idiot and she's his wife.
- 57:28Speaker 3: Big old argument in my house right now regarding Goldie Fawn,
- 57:32Speaker 3: our fur baby. Apparently I'm supposed to be washing her
- 57:35Speaker 3: ding-dang water and food bowl each and every day, according to.
- 57:40Speaker 4: Sweet Nick Nick, my wife. I wash it maybe once
- 57:43Speaker 4: a month.
- 57:44Speaker 2: Whose side are you on?
- 57:45Speaker 3: I know we have a lot of pet parents out there.
- 57:47Speaker 3: Who's doing the right thing here? Once a month or
- 57:50Speaker 3: every day? 303-691-1649 if you want to sound off about it.
- 57:57Speaker 4: Here's sweet Michelle.
- 57:58Speaker 2: Hi, Michelle.
- 57:59Speaker 1: Hello. How are you guys?
- 58:01Speaker 4: Well, we're super dupes. I'm kind of tired of fighting
- 58:04Speaker 4: with my wife, though.
- 58:07Speaker 1: Well, I'm 100% on your wife's side.
- 58:10Speaker 4: Okay, so I'll put you down for wife.
- 58:12Speaker 1: Yes, I have three dogs, and I do. I wash
- 58:15Speaker 1: their bowls every single day. I actually have backup bowls,
- 58:19Speaker 1: so I run them in the dishwasher at night, and
- 58:21Speaker 1: then I start fresh in the morning.
- 58:23Speaker 3: See, that grosses me out, too, because she said I
- 58:25Speaker 3: could just throw them in the dishwasher, and I think
- 58:27Speaker 3: that's foul because you've got dog slobber and goo, and
- 58:31Speaker 3: then it's in there with the dishes that you use.
- 58:33Speaker 5: With your dishes, yeah.
- 58:34Speaker 4: Even though it supposedly disinfects. I think that's nasty.
- 58:38Speaker 1: Well, I'm hoping it disinfects it. But I actually scrub
- 58:40Speaker 1: my– I'm actually really extreme. I actually scrub mine out first,
- 58:44Speaker 1: and then I put them in the dishwasher.
- 58:45Speaker 4: Holy cow.
- 58:46Speaker 2: Wow.
- 58:47Speaker 4: And then your dog runs outside and eats a dead squirrel.
- 58:51Speaker 1: I know, but I think it helps them from not getting, like,
- 58:55Speaker 1: diarrhea and stuff. That's my opinion.
- 58:57Speaker 3: Hey, listen, I will tell you, sweet Michelle, I also
- 59:00Speaker 3: scoop the dog poop. We've got nice, solid turds out.
- 59:02Speaker 4: Back, so– Things are going okay.
- 59:05Speaker 2: But you know what? You have spoken. You sounded off.
- 59:07Speaker 3: Uh i'm not putting you on team idiot i'm putting
- 59:09Speaker 3: you on team wife so we appreciate the phone call
- 59:12Speaker 3: thank you so very very much here's mercury hi mercury
- 59:16Speaker 3: hi good morning good morning all right are you on
- 59:18Speaker 3: team idiot or team wife.
- 59:21Speaker 10: Definitely team idiot because I at least would wash my
- 59:24Speaker 10: dog's dish once a week.
- 59:25Speaker 2: I wouldn't do it every single day. I find that
- 59:27Speaker 2: being tedious and, you know, I just get lazy with
- 59:29Speaker 2: doing it.
- 59:30Speaker 3: Right, especially if it's just like kibble, right? Like how
- 59:33Speaker 3: bad is the kibble in there?
- 59:35Speaker 10: I mean, I can see if it's dirty that it
- 59:37Speaker 10: needs to get washed.
- 59:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll wash it right then and there if it's
- 59:39Speaker 2: within the week.
- 59:40Speaker 10: But, you know, or if there's anything in it, then
- 59:41Speaker 10: my dog's water.
- 59:42Speaker 1: But other than that, it's like, I mean, they're fine
- 59:45Speaker 1: with it.
- 59:46Speaker 7: Yeah, right?
- 59:46Speaker 3: Your dog's not, like, looking up at you going, bleh,
- 59:48Speaker 3: puking all the time.
- 59:50Speaker 5: And as long as it doesn't smell mercury, that's for me.
- 59:53Speaker 5: I'm like, if it's not, because when you use the
- 59:55Speaker 5: wet food, sometimes it can.
- 59:56Speaker 6: Get like that, right? But if you're just using dry kibble.
- 59:59Speaker 5: And it's not, you know, stinking to high heaven, you good.
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: You're golden.
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: We have the visual of Katie standing in a kitchen
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: holding the dog bowl up like this.
- 1:00:07Speaker 4: Huffing it.
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: She's like, nah, we good.
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: We good for another week. All right, I got Mercury
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: down for Team Idiot.
- 1:00:12Speaker 5: Woo-hoo-hoo-hoo!
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: If you want to sound off, 303-691-1649.
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: Here is Phoebe. Hi, Phoebe.
- 1:00:21Speaker 6: Hi.
- 1:00:23Speaker 5: Hey, girl.
- 1:00:24Speaker 4: All right, so are you on Team Idiot or Team Wife?
- 1:00:27Speaker 7: I have to say Team Idiot.
- 1:00:29Speaker 10: Yes!
- 1:00:30Speaker 5: Yes! That's crazy.
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: I mean.
- 1:00:32Speaker 8: Even if I washed my dog's bowl every single day,
- 1:00:35Speaker 8: he would still drink out of the toilet every single time.
- 1:00:38Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: See, that's part of my argument.
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: It's like.
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: They're not picky.
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: They're not picky about what they put in their mouth.
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: My dog was running outside. We had owls in the backyard. And,
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: you know, I don't know if you're familiar with owls,
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: but they'll eat, you know, rodents and all that. They
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: don't digest the bones or the fur or the feathers,
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: and they puke up those pellets, okay?
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: Yeah. My dog would run outside and eat those pellets.
- 1:01:00Speaker 5: Yeah. It was so gross.
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: And she's yelling at me.
- 1:01:04Speaker 4: For not washing the dish.
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: Are you kidding me?
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: All right, so I do have you down for Team Idiot,
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: which is funny to say.
- 1:01:13Speaker 4: Phoebe, you're the best. Thanks for calling.
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: Yeah, thank you, guys.
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: Thank you. All right, I'm going to do one more.
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: Here's Cassidy.
- 1:01:19Speaker 4: Cassidy, are you on Team Idiot or Team Wife?
- 1:01:23Speaker 10: I would say I'm Lena and wife. And I mean,
- 1:01:26Speaker 10: I'll be real. I don't wash the doggy like food
- 1:01:30Speaker 10: or water bowl, but my sister does, you know, so
- 1:01:34Speaker 10: I would definitely be in the same.
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: Boat as you were.
- 1:01:37Speaker 10: If I had a wife that cared about our dog
- 1:01:40Speaker 10: as much, but you know, disclaimer, I had to call
- 1:01:44Speaker 10: in because I can't believe I got to roast Jeremy
- 1:01:48Speaker 10: twice in a four-day span.
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: Well, I don't know what that means.
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: Big dreams, huh?
- 1:01:55Speaker 5: Goals and dreams.
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: Was he wife? He was team wife. Yeah, team wife.
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: So we're tied up.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: Oh, no.
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: If anyone wants to be the tiebreaker, 303-691-1649.
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: Maybe you guys can break the tie. Josh, whose side
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: are you on, team idiot or team wife?
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: I got to go idiot. I mean, I've had dogs
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: my entire life, and I don't ever remember washing the
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: bowl at least once a day. I wouldn't do it.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:02:17Speaker 7: All right.
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: Well, that puts Idiot in the lead.
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: Katie?
- 1:02:20Speaker 5: Yeah, I think I also will go with you on
- 1:02:23Speaker 5: this one.
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: Yes!
- 1:02:24Speaker 7: Yes!
- 1:02:25Speaker 5: There's a way I'm washing it every day. I've heard
- 1:02:27Speaker 5: a few people text in or seen a few people.
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: I'm with them.
- 1:02:30Speaker 5: I don't even wash my own water bottle every day.
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: Yeah, right?
- 1:02:33Speaker 5: So it's like the fact that, yeah, there's no way.
- 1:02:36Speaker 5: There's no way I could do it every day.
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:02:38Speaker 7: Yes.
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: Yes!
- 1:02:40Speaker 5: Idiot for the W! Have you ever won one of those?
- 1:02:43Speaker 6: I think you have.
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: I don't think I have.
- 1:02:45Speaker 4: It's always wife that wins.
- 1:02:47Speaker 6: We should commemorate this somehow.
- 1:02:49Speaker 3: I will probably go home and rub it in her
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: face and then we'll be divorced later this month.
- 1:02:55Speaker 4: Later next month.
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: I'll change you.
- 1:03:00Speaker 4: She will be washing our bank accounts dry, and I
- 1:03:03Speaker 4: will have to move out.
- 1:03:05Speaker 5: Celebrate good times.
- 1:03:07Speaker 6: Come on.
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: There you go, guys. Idiot and wife.
- 1:03:10Speaker 4: The idiot has spoken.
- 1:03:12Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:03:13Speaker 10: Idiot and wife.
- 1:03:15Speaker 11: Idiot and wife. He's an idiot, and she's his wife.
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: It's time for a Blitz 100 sports report because we're
- 1:03:26Speaker 3: so tapped in in the world of sports.
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:03:31Speaker 3: Ah, Broncos, they got a final roster taking shape, I guess.
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: They're down to, what, 53 players?
- 1:03:37Speaker 5: How many do they need? 53.
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: That's what I thought. I was just quizzing you.
- 1:03:41Speaker 4: I saw that they got three quarterbacks now this season.
- 1:03:45Speaker 3: Got three quarterbacks on the Denver Broncos.
- 1:03:47Speaker 5: The backup and then the backup backup.
- 1:03:49Speaker 3: But I saw the major change this year where they're
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: actually going to allow all three quarterbacks on the field
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: at the same time. Oh.
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: This season.
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: It's a little known fact. Not much of the media
- 1:03:58Speaker 3: knows about it yet, but I'm pretty tapped in.
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: I got some insider information. A lot of passing going on. Yeah,
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: all three are going to be under center. All three
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: can be out. Yeah.
- 1:04:05Speaker 4: So they can pass and pass and pass. They've actually
- 1:04:08Speaker 4: got a new rule this season, too, where you can
- 1:04:10Speaker 4: pass it to somebody in the stands.
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: And then they can throw it back onto the field,
- 1:04:13Speaker 3: and a player can catch the sports ball and run
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: it in.
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: Did you see? They're all going to be under center, Katie.
- 1:04:19Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: That's a lot of hands.
- 1:04:22Speaker 4: The guy in the center is actually really into it.
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: I'm sure he is. He loves that.
- 1:04:26Speaker 6: Three out of one time.
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: Snap attack, they call him.
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: Watch me go. The snapper.
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: Yeah, so that's the big news coming out of Mile
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: High there.
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: Good for them. Anything else I want to tell you? Oh,
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: I did, but I think I threw it away.
- 1:04:41Speaker 6: Not important.
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: Fast and slow? No, I don't want that.
- 1:04:47Speaker 4: That was boring.
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: That was stupid.
- 1:04:48Speaker 4: Oh, I found it.
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: Crisis averted. Tailgating is on the decline.
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: They went out and surveyed a bunch of people, and
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: they said, yeah, we don't want to tailgate anymore. I
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: don't want to fight parking and be around all those
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: people and traffic. Instead, home gating is a big thing
- 1:05:05Speaker 3: right now, and companies are marketing to home gators who
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: want to just have a handful of friends over and
- 1:05:10Speaker 3: home gate, have a big spread at home because it's easy.
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: They said it's comfort and flexibility.
- 1:05:17Speaker 10: Okay.
- 1:05:18Speaker 5: What?
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: Well, wouldn't it just be considered pre-gaming?
- 1:05:22Speaker 4: That's when you drink a lot, right?
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: I'm assuming people are just going to drink an Uber,
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: but you just eat.
- 1:05:27Speaker 4: The foods, drink the drinks. They just wanted a cutesy name, guys.
- 1:05:31Speaker 3: Shut up.
- 1:05:32Speaker 5: Are you watching the game at home, or you're staying
- 1:05:34Speaker 5: at home until the game starts?
- 1:05:35Speaker 6: Then you're going to the game.
- 1:05:36Speaker 4: There's too many questions.
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 1:05:38Speaker 5: I'm just trying to unpack myself over here.
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: It's home-gating.
- 1:05:42Speaker 4: You're having snacks before the game at home.
- 1:05:45Speaker 3: So you don't have to go out and stand in
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: a parking lot like an idiot.
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: I'm for that. It's probably cheaper.
- 1:05:50Speaker 4: You got your own bathroom.
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: Those people that tailgate hours on a freezing cold game.
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: I know.
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: What's wrong with those people?
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: Not about that.
- 1:05:57Speaker 6: It's dedication.
- 1:05:57Speaker 4: I want to be home gating where my couch is
- 1:06:00Speaker 4: in my own bathroom.
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: Thank you very much.
- 1:06:02Speaker 5: Shit. Yeah, me too.
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: That's why I told you about it.
- 1:06:04Speaker 6: All right, what else you got?
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: All right, we're going to be talking about Frankie Munez,
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: the ex-child star. Frankie Muniz. Yes, he did something really cool,
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: and I like this. So, obviously, we all know him
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: from Malcolm in the Middle.
- 1:06:17Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: But he gave up his childhood dreams of acting in 2004,
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: so over two decades ago. Same. To really pursue another
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: massive dream of his, which was to become a professional
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: race car driver. Right? Yeah.
- 1:06:30Speaker 6: Like, total 180.
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: Same. I remember when he did that.
- 1:06:32Speaker 5: He was really excited about it. Don't you remember?
- 1:06:33Speaker 4: It was all over TMZ.
- 1:06:34Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: Well, yeah, and he's gone through the ups and downs
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: of everything. He's had some health issues. He's not been
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: able to compete because of those. Got a divorce. He
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: did get a divorce. We married, by the way. But
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: he did get to finally compete and win and complete
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: his dreams of winning an American race with NASCAR. This
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: is the GT4 American Series. He drove a Ford Mustang,
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: by the way. And on Friday, he got to finally
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: cross the finish line in first place. And then after
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: getting his first win, he did it again on Saturday.
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: He won again. And a teary-eyed Frankie Muniz said how
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: good it felt.
- 1:07:11Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 1:07:11Speaker 9: I'm emotional because I've honestly had kind of two of
- 1:07:14Speaker 9: the worst weeks of my entire life, to be honest.
- 1:07:16Speaker 9: Came here really low.
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: Had a good day yesterday. Felt really good today.
- 1:07:19Speaker 9: So to get this win is, I mean, thank you, God,
- 1:07:22Speaker 9: my team.
- 1:07:23Speaker 5: Four.
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: This is unbelievable. I feel so incredible.
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: This is amazing.
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: And he went on to say after that, the whole
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: time I saw the checkered flag, I was crying in
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: my helmet. I made all these sacrifices for my family
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: to go racing. Poor helmet. Really to be an inspiration.
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: For my son. I'm so grateful. This is awesome. There
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: is no feeling like this on the planet. So shout
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: out to him. That's a huge dream realized for him.
- 1:07:44Speaker 4: Shout out to Frankie Muniz this morning.
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: What can we expect?
- 1:07:48Speaker 5: We're diving head first into the chaos. It's the Mile
- 1:07:52Speaker 5: High Hype.
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: Yeah, what's up, what's up, what's up?
- 1:07:53Speaker 10: With JKJ on Mix 100.
- 1:07:56Speaker 3: Oh, the movie nobody asked for. A movie coming out
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: all about Hooters. The formation of the restaurant Hooters. It's
- 1:08:04Speaker 3: going to follow two friends from Iowa, Ted and Lenny.
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: with Ted trying to find a woman named Diane from
- 1:08:10Speaker 3: a spring break commercial. So he convinces Lenny to take
- 1:08:13Speaker 3: a road trip to Florida, where they find Diane, and.
- 1:08:17Speaker 4: She would later become the first Hooters girl.
- 1:08:21Speaker 3: Now, the movie is being described as a hilarious buddy comedy,
- 1:08:24Speaker 3: an inspiring biopic, and a wild journey based on a
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: crazy idea.
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: But you know what? I get it.
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: An iconic restaurant that's been around forever. It's joked about.
- 1:08:36Speaker 3: It's talked about.
- 1:08:38Speaker 4: Hooters is iconic.
- 1:08:39Speaker 5: It is.
- 1:08:40Speaker 4: So let's get a movie about the creation of Hooters.
- 1:08:43Speaker 3: The working title right now, I looked it up. The
- 1:08:45Speaker 3: working title is called Honk Honk.
- 1:08:49Speaker 6: Shut up, Jeremy.
- 1:08:51Speaker 5: No, it's not. Okay.
- 1:08:56Speaker 3: So Denver switched up to those VO scooters. They switched
- 1:08:59Speaker 3: over to those. vo scooters yeah they did um they
- 1:09:02Speaker 3: said that there's been something like 1.3 million trips on
- 1:09:07Speaker 3: those things within the first two months of the switchover
- 1:09:11Speaker 3: wow so people be riding scooters and they've got those
- 1:09:14Speaker 3: little goofy bikes too um that's pretty darn impressive Now,
- 1:09:18Speaker 3: of those 1.3 million trips, there has only been 1,800 warnings,
- 1:09:23Speaker 3: which I feel like is a pretty good ride-to-warning ratio
- 1:09:27Speaker 3: for various violations.
- 1:09:29Speaker 4: But I've been on one of those scooters downtown, and
- 1:09:31Speaker 4: they're a blast.
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: Yeah, they're fun. I love them.
- 1:09:35Speaker 4: Then you see them just thrown into parks and stuff sometimes.
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: I know. It's a bit of a litter issue.
- 1:09:39Speaker 5: Exactly.
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: The only other thing I have is this story coming
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: out of California. Where somebody stole a PBR truck and
- 1:09:47Speaker 3: it had 50,000 cans of PBR in it. And then
- 1:09:50Speaker 3: like a week later, another theft and.
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: Oh, where was it?
- 1:09:56Speaker 3: Oh, they don't have the number on the second theft.
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: Well, get this. 50,000 cans is worth about $ 45, 000.
- 1:09:59Speaker 4: The second theft was $ 25, 000, so.
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: We'll say half-ish.
- 1:10:06Speaker 5: How do they keep getting away with all this beer?
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: Wait, where's all this beer going?
- 1:10:10Speaker 5: Like, my goodness.
- 1:10:11Speaker 3: Is it a bunch of frat boys taking it back
- 1:10:14Speaker 3: to the frat house?
- 1:10:14Speaker 5: What you need to do is keep an eye on
- 1:10:16Speaker 5: all those colleges and see who's throwing the biggest rager.
- 1:10:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:10:19Speaker 6: And then you have your culprits, right?
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: And then you join in. You don't report them. You
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: join in.
- 1:10:24Speaker 5: That's right.
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: What else is going on?
- 1:10:25Speaker 5: Okay, so this is really a really good look for
- 1:10:28Speaker 5: the Colorado State Patrol. It's happened on Friday, actually. An
- 1:10:32Speaker 5: all-woman Colorado State Patrol team escorted the Minnesota Vikings onto
- 1:10:36Speaker 5: the field for that game Friday night at Empower Field
- 1:10:39Speaker 5: at Mile High, where the Broncos came out victorious.
- 1:10:42Speaker 6: But the other reason it's such a big deal is.
- 1:10:43Speaker 5: Because it was the first time in CSP history that
- 1:10:46Speaker 5: the team was made up entirely of women. 50 years
- 1:10:50Speaker 5: after the first woman was admitted to the State's Police Academy.
- 1:10:53Speaker 5: So it is so inspiring. And the ladies who were
- 1:10:55Speaker 5: out there on the field said just that. They're like,
- 1:10:58Speaker 5: it's very important for young girls, young women to be
- 1:11:01Speaker 5: looking at this moment and having it inspire them as well.
- 1:11:04Speaker 6: So I just thought that that was such a great story.
- 1:11:06Speaker 6: And also we won. So go Broncos.
- 1:11:09Speaker 5: And then one more, because this we just want to
- 1:11:11Speaker 5: get the word out about the gifting scam in Aurora.
- 1:11:14Speaker 5: This one is a little basic, but very effective. Authorities
- 1:11:17Speaker 5: said they've seen an uptick in this kind of crime
- 1:11:19Speaker 5: where a vendor will approach someone with a gift. So
- 1:11:23Speaker 5: usually they're trying to target elderly or people who don't
- 1:11:26Speaker 5: speak English. And then they'll offer them like a cheap
- 1:11:28Speaker 5: necklace or something. And when that person comes in for it,
- 1:11:31Speaker 5: they go to give them a hug or something.
- 1:11:33Speaker 6: They'll grab other jewelry off them.
- 1:11:35Speaker 5: So if you have like an expensive necklace hanging from
- 1:11:38Speaker 5: your neck they'll grab it and uh before you know
- 1:11:41Speaker 5: it take off with jewelry that's way more expensive than
- 1:11:43Speaker 5: the cheap stuff they were trying to give you but
- 1:11:46Speaker 5: again they're.
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: Not gonna get my casio.
- 1:11:48Speaker 5: This seems very basic and like who falls for this
- 1:11:51Speaker 5: but it happens so.
- 1:11:52Speaker 4: Quickly that's the thing it's quick.
- 1:11:53Speaker 5: When they're targeting elderly people who are already a little
- 1:11:56Speaker 5: vulnerable um you know we just want to make sure
- 1:11:58Speaker 5: we get the word out so that they're not falling
- 1:12:01Speaker 5: victim to this crime it's awful So, yeah, they say that,
- 1:12:04Speaker 5: for one, if you are going to be out and about,
- 1:12:06Speaker 5: if you've got some errands to run or whatever, make
- 1:12:09Speaker 5: sure that you don't wear your expensive jewelry.
- 1:12:11Speaker 4: That's one way that you can deter.
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: Wear your Kohl's stuff.
- 1:12:13Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: Your Walmart stuff. Or the knockoff brands.
- 1:12:15Speaker 6: This is where you want to do it. So just
- 1:12:17Speaker 6: a little heads up for all those folks out there.
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: At what point are we going to start handing out
- 1:12:20Speaker 3: tasers to the elderly just for fun?
- 1:12:21Speaker 2: Just for fun.
- 1:12:24Speaker 3: I think once you reach 75, the state should hand
- 1:12:28Speaker 3: you a taser.
- 1:12:29Speaker 5: Here's your taser, Ethel.
- 1:12:30Speaker 4: Just so you're safe. Take their car keys and hand
- 1:12:34Speaker 4: them a taser. That's the logical next step, I think.
- 1:12:37Speaker 5: I'm sure a lot more people would be willing to
- 1:12:38Speaker 5: give up the keys if they get a taser.
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: Hells yeah, I'd do it.
- 1:12:42Speaker 5: She's got the mic, the moxie, and a brain full
- 1:12:45Speaker 5: of Dr.
- 1:12:45Speaker 4: Phil reruns.
- 1:12:47Speaker 5: She's on me like a duck on a bean bug.
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: But can you take down Katie in Pop Culture Smackdown?
- 1:12:53Speaker 5: Down this is katie crush.
- 1:12:56Speaker 3: It certainly is and it looks like grace made it
- 1:13:00Speaker 3: through today hi grace.
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: Hi. Hi, good morning. Welcome to the show.
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: Good morning.
- 1:13:07Speaker 7: Oh my gosh, thank you. It's my first time. I'm
- 1:13:09Speaker 7: so nervous. I'm literally shaking.
- 1:13:11Speaker 3: Are you literally shaking? Listen, if you shake too much,
- 1:13:14Speaker 3: you might piddle your pants, so be careful.
- 1:13:16Speaker 7: I might piddle my pants. We might need to do
- 1:13:18Speaker 7: something about this.
- 1:13:19Speaker 2: We're going to need.
- 1:13:20Speaker 4: To get you a towel.
- 1:13:21Speaker 5: You got this, Grace.
- 1:13:24Speaker 4: All right, Piddle Grace. I need you to tell everybody
- 1:13:27Speaker 4: all about you.
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: Who is Grace?
- 1:13:29Speaker 7: Okay. Okay, great. I'm actually sitting here. I'm 21. I'm
- 1:13:34Speaker 7: sitting here, and I am just listening to the morning radio,
- 1:13:37Speaker 7: and I'm studying for my test that I have to
- 1:13:39Speaker 7: take it to. I'm in nursing school.
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: Oh, nice. So what's the test over?
- 1:13:45Speaker 7: It's over, like, shock, and also it goes over, like,
- 1:13:49Speaker 7: kidney stuff.
- 1:13:50Speaker 5: Oh, nice.
- 1:13:51Speaker 7: So I'm in my last semester, so the nerves are
- 1:13:54Speaker 7: high already.
- 1:13:54Speaker 3: Oh, well, I'm sure you're going to do just great.
- 1:13:58Speaker 7: Thank you. I appreciate it.
- 1:14:00Speaker 4: Katie, do you have any questions about kidneys?
- 1:14:02Speaker 6: Oh, no. I don't want to get you too nervous
- 1:14:05Speaker 6: about that. I want you to focus on.
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: The pop culture. Oh, no worries. No worries. Hey, is
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: cranberry juice really good for your kidneys?
- 1:14:13Speaker 3: Is what?
- 1:14:13Speaker 4: Cranberry juice really good for your kidneys?
- 1:14:15Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:14:15Speaker 3: My mom has always said cranberry juice is really good.
- 1:14:18Speaker 4: For the kidneys.
- 1:14:19Speaker 7: Well, she sounds real smart because she knows what she's
- 1:14:22Speaker 7: talking about.
- 1:14:22Speaker 5: All right. Look at that.
- 1:14:25Speaker 7: Good for her.
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: Give us some other kidney facts. Come on. Wow us.
- 1:14:28Speaker 7: Kidney facts, let's go. Oh, goodness. Okay, let's see. Well,
- 1:14:35Speaker 7: right now we're learning about pre-renal, intra-renal, and post-renal acute
- 1:14:40Speaker 7: kidney injuries.
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: I'm a fan of the post-renal. Yeah, I'm a fan
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: of the post-renal.
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: Oh, are you?
- 1:14:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:14:45Speaker 7: Oh, yeah? That's like bladder stuff. I don't think so.
- 1:14:48Speaker 7: That doesn't sound very fun to me.
- 1:14:49Speaker 3: How many, let's say, quarts, how many quarts of fluid
- 1:14:53Speaker 3: goes through the kidney each and every day?
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: I'm going to say 200 quarts.
- 1:14:58Speaker 7: Oh, see, this is– I don't even know.
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: You're going to fail.
- 1:15:01Speaker 7: You got me beat. I know.
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: I know.
- 1:15:05Speaker 4: How big is your kidney?
- 1:15:07Speaker 7: How big? I mean, maybe like a handful.
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:15:11Speaker 7: I feel like you could put it in your hands.
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: How much a kidney weighs?
- 1:15:17Speaker 7: Oh, I'm going to say probably maybe like half a pound,
- 1:15:23Speaker 7: I feel. You know, there's two of them. So I
- 1:15:25Speaker 7: feel like it can't be too much.
- 1:15:28Speaker 3: I think if I recall from my nursing school days,
- 1:15:30Speaker 3: it's about five ounces.
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: I could be wrong.
- 1:15:33Speaker 7: Oh, see, you've got me beat. You've got me beat.
- 1:15:35Speaker 7: I've got to add those to my practice questions.
- 1:15:37Speaker 4: What kind of crap are they teaching you?
- 1:15:39Speaker 3: I don't feel very confident about you passing this test.
- 1:15:44Speaker 7: You're going to do great.
- 1:15:46Speaker 5: You're going to do great. Thank you, Katie.
- 1:15:49Speaker 7: I only hear you.
- 1:15:51Speaker 3: I'm a urine expert. I urinate a lot, Grace. So
- 1:15:53Speaker 3: I'm very familiar with my kidneys.
- 1:15:55Speaker 5: Really?
- 1:15:57Speaker 7: I love that.
- 1:15:57Speaker 4: It's a problem.
- 1:15:58Speaker 7: Tell me all the facts. I might need it.
- 1:16:00Speaker 4: It's a problem I have.
- 1:16:01Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:16:01Speaker 3: So, Grace, I'm going to give you and Katie the
- 1:16:03Speaker 3: same five questions. Best out of five wins. Ties go
- 1:16:07Speaker 3: to Katie. Do you have anything you want to say
- 1:16:09Speaker 3: before you leave the room, Katie?
- 1:16:10Speaker 6: Grace, I just want to let you know he is
- 1:16:11Speaker 6: full of something over there.
- 1:16:13Speaker 2: Oh, shut up.
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: Good luck to you.
- 1:16:15Speaker 7: That's all I need to hear, Katie.
- 1:16:16Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: Get out of here. And, Grace, I just Googled it.
- 1:16:20Speaker 3: The average kidney is about five inches long and weighs
- 1:16:24Speaker 3: about five ounces. What?
- 1:16:27Speaker 7: Crazy. That's pretty long. That's nuts.
- 1:16:30Speaker 2: It is nuts.
- 1:16:30Speaker 7: I like it.
- 1:16:31Speaker 3: What's even more nuts is you're going to be a
- 1:16:33Speaker 3: nurse and you don't know this basic information.
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: I know.
- 1:16:38Speaker 7: I know. Don't worry. I'm adding them into my practice
- 1:16:40Speaker 7: questions as we speak.
- 1:16:41Speaker 2: You're very sweet.
- 1:16:42Speaker 4: Thanks for letting me have some fun with you.
- 1:16:43Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:16:44Speaker 3: So Katie went in the next room. She can't hear anything.
- 1:16:46Speaker 3: I come up with the questions. So there's no cheating.
- 1:16:49Speaker 3: We'll find out if you're right or wrong once we
- 1:16:50Speaker 3: bring her back.
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: But let's go ahead and do the first question.
- 1:16:53Speaker 3: Please tell me, what donut company will give you a
- 1:16:57Speaker 3: free donut for every A that you get on your
- 1:17:00Speaker 3: report card?
- 1:17:01Speaker 7: Ooh, ooh, I'm going to say.
- 1:17:06Speaker 7: I feel like there's a lot of things you could
- 1:17:09Speaker 7: win for Krispy Kreme, so I'm going to go with
- 1:17:11Speaker 7: that one. My grandma loves that one. I know much
- 1:17:14Speaker 7: about that one.
- 1:17:14Speaker 2: Your grandma loves it.
- 1:17:15Speaker 3: I should add, participating locations only.
- 1:17:18Speaker 4: All right, here's your second question.
- 1:17:21Speaker 3: What was the name of the social media platform that
- 1:17:23Speaker 3: became a major alternative to Twitter? I think it was
- 1:17:28Speaker 3: like right around 22, 23. X, like what it turned into?
- 1:17:34Speaker 3: The alternative to Twitter.
- 1:17:36Speaker 7: Ooh, the alternative. That is a good one. You've got
- 1:17:44Speaker 7: me stumped. Oh, I'll do threads from Instagram. Let's do that.
- 1:17:50Speaker 7: I don't know. Sounds like it could work.
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: What is Billie Eilish's brother's name?
- 1:17:56Speaker 7: Ooh, this is Phineas O'Connell. Mm-hmm. I know my Billie Eilish.
- 1:18:00Speaker 4: Wow, didn't even hesitate.
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: I love her. You know everything about Billie Eilish.
- 1:18:05Speaker 7: You're on the phone with a Billie fan.
- 1:18:06Speaker 3: Yeah, you know everything about Billie Eilish, but nothing about kidneys, apparently.
- 1:18:10Speaker 7: I know, I know. Where's my test on Billie, really?
- 1:18:13Speaker 3: All right, what was the name of the viral dance,
- 1:18:16Speaker 3: I guess you could call it, where people froze completely
- 1:18:19Speaker 3: still in unusual locations?
- 1:18:22Speaker 4: What was that one called?
- 1:18:23Speaker 7: This one was called... This was called... Oh, gosh, what
- 1:18:28Speaker 7: was it called? It was to that Black Beatles song,
- 1:18:32Speaker 7: It was called the mannequin challenge. That's what it was called.
- 1:18:34Speaker 7: I believe that's what you're talking about.
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:18:37Speaker 4: We'll put you down for that.
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: I like that one.
- 1:18:39Speaker 3: Your fifth and final question. What makeup slogan is, quote, easy, breezy, beautiful?
- 1:18:45Speaker 4: Easy, breezy, beautiful.
- 1:18:50Speaker 7: Cover girl, of course. Look at you singing.
- 1:18:52Speaker 4: All right, let's bring Katie back in here.
- 1:18:55Speaker 2: Let me add up.
- 1:18:55Speaker 7: How many we got here.
- 1:18:59Speaker 2: Hi, Katie.
- 1:19:00Speaker 5: Hi, Jeremy. Hi, Grace.
- 1:19:02Speaker 2: Hi, Katie.
- 1:19:03Speaker 10: I missed you.
- 1:19:03Speaker 7: I missed you, too.
- 1:19:05Speaker 4: Well, that makes one of us.
- 1:19:06Speaker 3: While you were away, I quizzed Grace on more kidney stuff,
- 1:19:10Speaker 3: and she still knows nothing.
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: Oh.
- 1:19:12Speaker 7: It's true. It's true. It's true.
- 1:19:14Speaker 5: You're going to.
- 1:19:15Speaker 6: Do fine on that test, girl. I'm telling you.
- 1:19:17Speaker 3: Will you call tomorrow? Call us tomorrow and let us
- 1:19:19Speaker 3: know how you feel like you did.
- 1:19:21Speaker 6: Let us know.
- 1:19:21Speaker 7: Oh, my gosh, I will. I totally will.
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: Good.
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: All right, Katie, you ready?
- 1:19:25Speaker 5: I'm ready.
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: Let me get my little buttons ready.
- 1:19:28Speaker 3: And I need to know, what donut company will give
- 1:19:32Speaker 3: you a free donut for every A that you get
- 1:19:35Speaker 3: on your report card?
- 1:19:38Speaker 6: That's Krispy Kreme, right?
- 1:19:41Speaker 5: Little Gracie, you got.
- 1:19:42Speaker 2: That one right, too.
- 1:19:44Speaker 5: Yay, fun.
- 1:19:47Speaker 4: Participating locations only.
- 1:19:49Speaker 11: Yay.
- 1:19:50Speaker 5: Fun.
- 1:19:50Speaker 7: Yay, fun.
- 1:19:51Speaker 3: All right, second question. What was the name of the
- 1:19:54Speaker 3: social media platform that became a major alternative to Twitter?
- 1:19:59Speaker 3: And it was around, I think the year was 22, 23.
- 1:20:02Speaker 3: It was the alternative to Twitter.
- 1:20:04Speaker 5: Oh.
- 1:20:06Speaker 6: I maybe read it. Is it Reddit?
- 1:20:10Speaker 5: Oh, what is it?
- 1:20:11Speaker 4: Grace, you said threads, which is.
- 1:20:14Speaker 2: Grace!
- 1:20:15Speaker 7: Oh, my gosh. I didn't think that was going to happen.
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: That's crazy, Katie.
- 1:20:19Speaker 5: That's crazy.
- 1:20:20Speaker 7: That was a good guess. That was a good guess.
- 1:20:22Speaker 6: That was a good guess.
- 1:20:24Speaker 5: Grace. You're in the lead.
- 1:20:25Speaker 2: That was a horrible guess. What do you mean?
- 1:20:27Speaker 7: Jeremy!
- 1:20:28Speaker 2: Jeremy! You pulled it right out of her kidney.
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: Come on now.
- 1:20:31Speaker 5: Yeah, exactly.
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
- 1:20:33Speaker 7: Oh, my God. All right.
- 1:20:36Speaker 3: What is Billie Eilish's brother's name?
- 1:20:40Speaker 2: Phineas.
- 1:20:42Speaker 5: Love that name.
- 1:20:43Speaker 2: Yes, love her.
- 1:20:44Speaker 4: And Grace got that one right, too.
- 1:20:46Speaker 6: You know you're Billy.
- 1:20:47Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh.
- 1:20:48Speaker 7: Girl, I do. It was fast. It was fast. I'm
- 1:20:50Speaker 7: a Billy fan.

- 1:20:55Speaker 3: All right, Katie, what was the name of the, I'm
- 1:20:57Speaker 3: going to call it a viral dance, where people froze
- 1:20:59Speaker 3: completely still in unusual locations?
- 1:21:04Speaker 5: Oh, like the mannequin challenge?
- 1:21:07Speaker 6: Is that what you're asking?
- 1:21:08Speaker 8: Yes.
- 1:21:10Speaker 4: Grace, you got that one right, too.
- 1:21:11Speaker 3: Oh, God.
- 1:21:11Speaker 2: Oh, I'm getting nervous.
- 1:21:14Speaker 7: I'm getting nervous.
- 1:21:15Speaker 4: Grace came to play today.
- 1:21:17Speaker 2: Katie, final question.

- 1:21:24Speaker 5: Cover girl.
- 1:21:26Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:21:26Speaker 6: That's it.
- 1:21:28Speaker 4: Grace was better because she, like, really sang it. I
- 1:21:30Speaker 4: think it was even better than that.
