- 0:25Speaker 1: Hi, and welcome back to Peeky Boo Hauntings. I'll be
- 0:28Speaker 1: your witchy host Shy, and I'll be your guide to
- 0:31Speaker 1: all things paranormal, weird and spooky. I know by the
- 0:36Speaker 1: time this episode comes out, we'll be long past it.
- 0:41Speaker 1: But did we all survive the winter apocalypse they said
- 0:44Speaker 1: was coming. I'm honestly disappointed. People bought into the stories
- 0:50Speaker 1: and for what nothing. Don't get me wrong, I've lived
- 0:55Speaker 1: in the South my whole life. I know how this goes,
- 0:58Speaker 1: but I usually at least get some good snow out
- 1:01Speaker 1: of it. So while I knew it wasn't going to
- 1:05Speaker 1: be nearly as bad as they were saying, I was
- 1:09Speaker 1: expecting to see maybe a few inches of snow. Plus
- 1:15Speaker 1: I had a vision of a good snowstorm coming, so
- 1:18Speaker 1: I may have got my hopes up that this was it.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Still think it's coming, but still I just want some
- 1:28Speaker 1: snow that covers everything. Anyways, if you were some of
- 1:35Speaker 1: the lucky for you that actually got some snow, I
- 1:38Speaker 1: hope you stayed safe and didn't have any exploding trees,
- 1:42Speaker 1: because I learned that's a thing that can happen in
- 1:45Speaker 1: super cold weather. That's a neat thing to learn about.
- 1:50Speaker 1: But yeah, I do hope you stayed safe, stayed warm,
- 1:54Speaker 1: and didn't have to go out unless you had to, well,
- 1:58Speaker 1: unless you're from the North. I know you guys are
- 2:01Speaker 1: used to that kind of stuff and probably laughing at
- 2:04Speaker 1: how the South acts when we get snow. But we're
- 2:08Speaker 1: just not built for that kind of stuff like you.
- 2:11Speaker 1: We can't drive in any kind of winter weather. Oh. Actually,
- 2:15Speaker 1: I have a little update about that snow. It was
- 2:19Speaker 1: kind of a week late, so I guess my vision
- 2:21Speaker 1: did come true. It looked exactly like it too, so
- 2:26Speaker 1: I guess I got my wish. Plus I guess I
- 2:30Speaker 1: got a little mini vacation out of all of this.
- 2:32Speaker 1: So it's a wind wind either way. All right. Sorry,
- 2:36Speaker 1: let me stop rambling on about the snow and let's
- 2:39Speaker 1: get on to the stories. This Christmas story is for
- 2:43Speaker 1: sure going to warm us up. It's called my mom
- 2:49Speaker 1: wrote the wrong name on a Christmas place card and
- 2:53Speaker 1: it revealed a family secret. I swear on everything that
- 3:00Speaker 1: this is a true story. This happened just a few
- 3:04Speaker 1: weeks ago on Christmas Eve at my parents' house. I've
- 3:09Speaker 1: only changed the names for privacy for contexts. My brother
- 3:15Speaker 1: is married to Amanda. My mom wanted to bring the
- 3:19Speaker 1: families together, so she invited Amanda's mother, Diana, and Amanda's
- 3:25Speaker 1: sister Isabella to join us for dinner. To organize the
- 3:31Speaker 1: seating arrangements, my mom decided to be a bit formal
- 3:35Speaker 1: and write everyone's name on a little card, placing them
- 3:39Speaker 1: on the plates. She set it up so that my
- 3:42Speaker 1: sister in law's mother and her sister would be seated
- 3:46Speaker 1: next to each other. Here is where it gets weird.
- 3:54Speaker 1: When my mom was writing the card for Isabella's seat,
- 3:57Speaker 1: for some reason she still can't explain. When my mom
- 4:01Speaker 1: was writing the card for Isabella's seat, for some reason
- 4:05Speaker 1: she still can't explain, she didn't write Isabella. Instead, she
- 4:11Speaker 1: wrote the name Amber. She just placed it on the
- 4:16Speaker 1: table without realizing what she had done. When everyone went
- 4:21Speaker 1: to sit down, Diana looked at the place setting next
- 4:24Speaker 1: to her, saw the name Amber on the card, and
- 4:27Speaker 1: immediately burst into tears. It turned out that Diana had
- 4:33Speaker 1: another daughter named Amber who passed away tragically when she
- 4:38Speaker 1: was only five or six years old. Oh my god, No,
- 4:44Speaker 1: of all the names to mindlessly put there, it just
- 4:47Speaker 1: so happened to be your daughter that passed away, God,
- 4:51Speaker 1: her heart must have broke immediately, that poor mom. The
- 4:57Speaker 1: thing is, no one in my family knew this. We
- 5:02Speaker 1: had no idea Amber even existed, and my mom had
- 5:06Speaker 1: absolutely no knowledge of this history. There was no way
- 5:11Speaker 1: for her to have confused the names, because she didn't
- 5:15Speaker 1: even know the name Amber to begin with. We were
- 5:19Speaker 1: all left in shop. Since there's no logical explanation for
- 5:24Speaker 1: how my mom pulled that name out of thin air,
- 5:28Speaker 1: we can't help but feel it was a sign, maybe
- 5:33Speaker 1: a little nudge from a spirit, to let her mom
- 5:35Speaker 1: know she was with us that night. Has anyone else
- 5:40Speaker 1: experienced something like this, that definitely was a sign. If
- 5:48Speaker 1: your mom or any of your family didn't know about
- 5:50Speaker 1: that name or the person it was attached to, I
- 5:54Speaker 1: don't believe it was just a coincidence. I don't know
- 5:58Speaker 1: about you, guys, but the odds of they are so slim.
- 6:03Speaker 1: This was probably the daughter's way of letting her mom
- 6:05Speaker 1: knows she was with them. Maybe she was feeling nervous
- 6:09Speaker 1: and her daughter just wanted to reassure her that everything
- 6:12Speaker 1: was gonna be fine. She probably didn't plan on her
- 6:15Speaker 1: mother breaking down, or maybe she did. I don't know
- 6:20Speaker 1: if it all made you closer as a family. Who's
- 6:23Speaker 1: to say she didn't do it on purpose. All I
- 6:26Speaker 1: know is that more than likely this is a sign
- 6:29Speaker 1: from her. While this family seemed to have a shared experience,
- 6:35Speaker 1: this next person seems to be alone in theirs. Their
- 6:39Speaker 1: story is called the story No one believes. All right,
- 6:47Speaker 1: grab a snack because this one is a long one.
- 6:51Speaker 1: One day, I was about fourteen to sixteen years old,
- 6:54Speaker 1: I think was watching the family dog, Athena Husky. I
- 7:00Speaker 1: kept hearing creaking around the house and listen closely, and
- 7:05Speaker 1: I swear I heard footsteps, which is weird because no
- 7:11Speaker 1: one is home. So I woke up Athena to see
- 7:17Speaker 1: if she would react to the sounds. She seemed very unsure,
- 7:22Speaker 1: like uneasy. I start to freak out and call my
- 7:26Speaker 1: best friend B same age B. I am really scared.
- 7:32Speaker 1: I think someone is in the house. Instead of calling
- 7:35Speaker 1: nine one one, because I was gaslighting myself, but also
- 7:39Speaker 1: because I know that there has always been paranormal activity
- 7:43Speaker 1: in my parents' house. I was about to say, why
- 7:49Speaker 1: would you call your best friend instead of the cops,
- 7:52Speaker 1: But if you're used to there being paranormal activity, I
- 7:54Speaker 1: can get that. Also, I'm saying this like I didn't
- 7:59Speaker 1: do the same thing when I was hearing footsteps in
- 8:01Speaker 1: my haunted house. I did have a machete with me
- 8:05Speaker 1: as I walked the house with my mom on the phone.
- 8:07Speaker 1: So yeah, I can't judge others for not calling nine
- 8:11Speaker 1: to one one haunted house, are not I did the
- 8:16Speaker 1: same stupid thing. At that age, B said something on
- 8:20Speaker 1: the lines of I am babysitting my sister. If I
- 8:24Speaker 1: come help, I would have to bring her. I said, dude,
- 8:28Speaker 1: I'm freaking out, I need you here, or something like that.
- 8:33Speaker 1: B comes into the house with her sister Kay, about
- 8:36Speaker 1: eight to ten years old. Not you inadvertently dragging her
- 8:40Speaker 1: little sister into a horror movie set up too. We
- 8:44Speaker 1: both grab knives and go to the basement. We worked
- 8:48Speaker 1: our way from the bottom to the top and cleared
- 8:51Speaker 1: each room. Pah, I'm happy you got a weapon finally,
- 8:57Speaker 1: because there is always a chance as a person, and
- 9:00Speaker 1: it's better to have something than nothing, just in case
- 9:03Speaker 1: you encounter that. As we neared the second floor, I
- 9:09Speaker 1: could hear footsteps, but quietly I start to feel really
- 9:14Speaker 1: uncomfortable and eel B went first into my parents' room
- 9:19Speaker 1: and cleared it we need to check the attic. BE yelled,
- 9:24Speaker 1: and I said, we have to search every room first.
- 9:28Speaker 1: We start to walk towards my room, my brother's room,
- 9:31Speaker 1: in our washroom. They were side by side my room,
- 9:36Speaker 1: his room, washroom. As B walks out of my parents' room,
- 9:41Speaker 1: my door, my brother's door, and the washroom slammed shut.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Keep in mind no windows were open and no windows
- 9:50Speaker 1: in the washroom. I was hanging on to k for
- 9:54Speaker 1: dear life, and we jumped so high that I felt heaven.
- 10:00Speaker 1: We opened the washroom nothing, My room nothing, my brother's
- 10:04Speaker 1: room no one but not nothing. My brother has an
- 10:11Speaker 1: addict in his closet and so does my parents. So
- 10:17Speaker 1: we checked my brothers but it doesn't move. We took
- 10:21Speaker 1: videos on snap while we took a hanger and try
- 10:25Speaker 1: to push up on the attic some more. I swear
- 10:28Speaker 1: it moved like one centimeter, but nothing more. Wait, what
- 10:33Speaker 1: moved the hanger or the cover to the attic. We
- 10:37Speaker 1: went to my parents room and pushed and it looked
- 10:40Speaker 1: like it was glued shut. We start to calm down
- 10:44Speaker 1: and be and her sister leave. Also. I might be
- 10:48Speaker 1: proven wrong in a minute, but I don't understand how
- 10:51Speaker 1: this is a story no one believes because not only
- 10:54Speaker 1: do you have two other people witnessing this with you,
- 10:58Speaker 1: but you said this how was haunted. So I assume
- 11:01Speaker 1: your family has experienced things too. I guess I wasn't
- 11:06Speaker 1: expecting other witnesses to this story. Now fast forward, I
- 11:13Speaker 1: think it's about a year or so later. My father
- 11:18Speaker 1: was in Latvia. My father is in the military. My
- 11:22Speaker 1: brother and his girlfriend were over at the house. I
- 11:26Speaker 1: was on Skype with a person named Jay, and I said,
- 11:30Speaker 1: I felt so uneasy, like someone was watching me. Jay, Well,
- 11:35Speaker 1: we're on Skype. Maybe that's why me. I think I
- 11:40Speaker 1: can hear someone, but everyone is asleep. I look over
- 11:45Speaker 1: to my dogs. Now we have two, a German Shepherd
- 11:49Speaker 1: named Still and Athena. The husky. Still was about one
- 11:54Speaker 1: hundred and thirty pounds purebred German Shepherd. He looked extremely
- 11:59Speaker 1: scared and a kind of hid behind him. My mom
- 12:03Speaker 1: sleeps with the door open when my father is away
- 12:06Speaker 1: or overseas, so the dogs can walk around and protect
- 12:09Speaker 1: the house. I felt really bad, but I tried to
- 12:14Speaker 1: push both of the dogs out, and they Hardcourt refused.
- 12:19Speaker 1: If you're feeling something and the dogs are clearly feeling something.
- 12:23Speaker 1: I hate to say it, but something is probably there.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Like brakes were on every single leg. They were not moving.
- 12:31Speaker 1: I literally said, I am so sorry, but you need
- 12:35Speaker 1: to protect mom still in Athena reluctantly left my room,
- 12:41Speaker 1: and as they left, Jay and I heard stomping running
- 12:44Speaker 1: up the stairs extremely fast. So I closed my door
- 12:48Speaker 1: and lock it. I listened closely. The stomps ended at
- 12:53Speaker 1: the top of the stairs. But now there's footsteps coming
- 12:57Speaker 1: towards my room, in my brother's room. I shit you not.
- 13:03Speaker 1: The footsteps stopped at my door. It felt like it
- 13:09Speaker 1: was twenty minutes later, but it was probably two minutes.
- 13:13Speaker 1: I could hear the footsteps back away from my door,
- 13:16Speaker 1: and I was like, hey, I need to go and
- 13:20Speaker 1: get some sleep. I can't deal with this right now.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Next morning, my mother is talking to my father on
- 13:27Speaker 1: the phone. I swear I heard my mom say, babe.
- 13:32Speaker 1: It sounded like someone was in the house last night.
- 13:35Speaker 1: I even felt someone sit on the bed, and when
- 13:38Speaker 1: I look, no one was there. So does your parents
- 13:43Speaker 1: not talk to you about this stuff? Cause if you
- 13:46Speaker 1: did hear that, it kind of sounds like they know,
- 13:49Speaker 1: but maybe they're trying to keep it from you. Kids.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Maybe it was to protect you all. Hours later, I
- 13:56Speaker 1: decided to look around the house and see if anything moved.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Everyone is gone and I'm at home alone. I even
- 14:06Speaker 1: checked my parents' room and my brother's room. I went
- 14:09Speaker 1: into my brother's room with my heart beating out of
- 14:12Speaker 1: my chest, looked around and was like, Okay, nothing moved,
- 14:18Speaker 1: Let's check the closet. Everything seemed to be fine and
- 14:21Speaker 1: normal until I looked up. The attic that was once
- 14:27Speaker 1: in my brother's room is now gone. I called B
- 14:31Speaker 1: and she said something like, no fucking way. We told everyone,
- 14:36Speaker 1: my brother, me, B Kay, and my mother remembers there
- 14:41Speaker 1: was an attic, but my father says there was never
- 14:45Speaker 1: an attic and gets extremely defensive about it. That sounds
- 14:51Speaker 1: like your dad knows something but doesn't want to admit it.
- 14:55Speaker 1: I do wonder how it's just gone, though. That shit
- 14:57Speaker 1: is kind of crazy. So remember how we took videos
- 15:01Speaker 1: on snap, Well, I asked B to send them to
- 15:05Speaker 1: me so we could prove to my father there was
- 15:08Speaker 1: an addict. The videos don't load and haven't ever loaded
- 15:13Speaker 1: since the attict disappeared. My father has now convinced my
- 15:17Speaker 1: mother that there wasn't an addict. In my brother's room.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Side note. I got to pick rooms when we moved
- 15:24Speaker 1: from the last time because my brother picked the room
- 15:27Speaker 1: in the last house. I went into both rooms and
- 15:31Speaker 1: checked them out. I walked into brothers and saw the
- 15:34Speaker 1: addict and immediately says, well, that's easy. I picked the
- 15:38Speaker 1: other room. I don't want to have an addict in
- 15:40Speaker 1: my room. Till this day, that addict has remained missing.
- 15:46Speaker 1: I honestly have no idea if anyone will believe me,
- 15:49Speaker 1: but this actually happened. Another side note, I used and
- 15:54Speaker 1: sometimes still do ghost hunting. I have ghost hunting equipment
- 15:58Speaker 1: and have picked up multiple ghosts and entities, especially in
- 16:02Speaker 1: my parents' house. My favorite one is named Dave. He
- 16:07Speaker 1: lives in my closet. One time he got me into
- 16:10Speaker 1: trouble during a sleepover, basically you know the Victoria's Secret dogs. Well,
- 16:16Speaker 1: it went flying and hit my wall, and my mom
- 16:18Speaker 1: stomped to my room and said, be quiet, I'm trying
- 16:21Speaker 1: to sleep. This is when I started looking into ghost
- 16:26Speaker 1: hunting equipment. I don't know what to say about that attic.
- 16:33Speaker 1: If you believe in that kind of stuff, I guess
- 16:36Speaker 1: it could have been a timeline jump. Maybe your dad
- 16:40Speaker 1: isn't from the same timeline as you guys, so obviously
- 16:44Speaker 1: he would remember, and him being so insistent about it
- 16:47Speaker 1: made your mom and brothers second guests themselves. The other
- 16:52Speaker 1: possibility is that he was gaslighting you all. Maybe he
- 16:56Speaker 1: knows about the paranormal going ons but just doesn't want
- 17:00Speaker 1: to admit it to you all. I will say, your
- 17:03Speaker 1: house does seem to be really haunted, and I think
- 17:07Speaker 1: it's so cool that you get to go ghost hunting.
- 17:10Speaker 1: It must feel not only nice to get that validation,
- 17:13Speaker 1: but also to be able to talk to the ghost
- 17:15Speaker 1: in your house. Something weirdly satisfying about it. Right, we're
- 17:21Speaker 1: going from one haunted house to another. Our next story
- 17:24Speaker 1: is called there is at least one ghost in my house.
- 17:29Speaker 1: The house I'm living in isn't very old, built in
- 17:33Speaker 1: twenty ten, and has only one previous owner, who is
- 17:37Speaker 1: a Canine police officer. I have been helping out family
- 17:43Speaker 1: by letting them stay with me while they took for
- 17:45Speaker 1: a new place. While they've been staying with me, they
- 17:50Speaker 1: have seen a ghost of a woman pacing the hallway
- 17:53Speaker 1: in the basement of the house. Doing some research, we
- 17:59Speaker 1: found out the woman they've been seeing in the basement
- 18:01Speaker 1: is a lady in her fifties who was shot and
- 18:04Speaker 1: killed by the officer while he was on duty. They've
- 18:08Speaker 1: also been hearing people walking around upstairs at night, even
- 18:12Speaker 1: though everyone is asleep. One of the family members that
- 18:16Speaker 1: is staying with me has also mentioned that while passing
- 18:20Speaker 1: one of the bathrooms in the hallway upstairs, they've seen
- 18:25Speaker 1: a ghost of an old man who appears to be
- 18:27Speaker 1: sitting on the bed. Okay, so I'm sure we're all
- 18:33Speaker 1: thinking it, but it sounds to me that cop was
- 18:37Speaker 1: being haunted by those he killed. I don't know what
- 18:40Speaker 1: went down to get those people killed, but he's definitely
- 18:44Speaker 1: being haunted by What is the real question? Because I
- 18:48Speaker 1: could see this being the actual spirits that are haunting
- 18:51Speaker 1: him for what he did. And I could also see
- 18:54Speaker 1: this being like his guilt haunting him. So, now that
- 19:00Speaker 1: I think about it, if it was the guilt, you'd
- 19:03Speaker 1: think it would have stuck with them. I guess you
- 19:07Speaker 1: could say the same thing about the actual spirits. I
- 19:11Speaker 1: just could see them hanging around in the house more
- 19:13Speaker 1: than if it's the manifestation of his guilt. But what
- 19:18Speaker 1: do you think. Do you think it's a spirit of
- 19:21Speaker 1: those he killed or could it be something I didn't say.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Let me know what your ideas are. Well, once again,
- 19:29Speaker 1: I've run out of stories for today. I hope you
- 19:31Speaker 1: enjoyed them, and I'm hoping to bring back Deep Dives soon.
- 19:36Speaker 1: I'm working slowly to get the script together for the
- 19:38Speaker 1: first episode, but I might get a few together before
- 19:41Speaker 1: I go posting them. They take more time to get
- 19:43Speaker 1: the info together and of course writing the script, so
- 19:47Speaker 1: I swear they are coming back. I just want to
- 19:50Speaker 1: get these planned out so that I have a buffer
- 19:52Speaker 1: between them so I'm not feeling so rushed to get
- 19:54Speaker 1: them out, or worse, falling behind on them. Sorry I
- 19:59Speaker 1: did it to go rambling like that. Anyways, you probably
- 20:04Speaker 1: know what I'm about to say, but remember to leave
- 20:07Speaker 1: a review and rate the podcast if you're enjoying it,
- 20:10Speaker 1: and like and subscribe if you're watching on YouTube. Oh
- 20:14Speaker 1: and of course, if you have a story you'd like
- 20:16Speaker 1: to share, send it to me. The email is in
- 20:19Speaker 1: the show notes in the description below. But for now,
- 20:22Speaker 1: the coven is adjourned. See you next time. Bye,
