- 0:49Speaker 1: An apartment where we are chucked outside of the super
- 0:52Speaker 1: spreader zone and we are looking for the monkey that
- 0:56Speaker 1: is spreading the infantygo. It is Sports Allegedly.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Welcome, Welcome, Welcome, everybody, Thank you for joining us for
- 1:03Speaker 2: this episode of Sports Allegedly on the eighth day.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Oh Kenny wrong hat?
- 1:10Speaker 2: Oh had perfect tat wrong hat?
- 1:12Speaker 1: Eighth day. It's NFL September.
- 1:14Speaker 2: I know, but we're still you know, we're making a run.
- 1:17Speaker 2: We can do that next playoff run. So anyway, thanks
- 1:19Speaker 2: next week, thanks for joining us. We've got lots and
- 1:22Speaker 2: lots and lots of stuff to talk about.
- 1:24Speaker 1: You forgot to say. It is the eighth day of
- 1:27Speaker 1: September of twenty twenty four of our Lord.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Yes, thanks for joining us. All kinds of football to talk.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Will recap two weeks behind in college. We'll recap the
- 1:38Speaker 1: NFL started this week.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll recap our.
- 1:40Speaker 3: I'm very upset by all this, and I don't know
- 1:42Speaker 3: if you.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Can tell by my demeanor.
- 1:43Speaker 2: We'll talk about.
- 1:46Speaker 1: NFL.
- 1:48Speaker 2: You want to open with that. You want to talk NFL?
- 1:50Speaker 1: Well, yeah, let's go through NFL because it's gonna be
- 1:51Speaker 1: way faster than going through college. Yes, yes, well, any
- 1:55Speaker 1: any current surprises for you NFL.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Over the overreaction under or the reaction?
- 2:00Speaker 1: Are they done? Cincinnati done?
- 2:03Speaker 2: Well? Okay, so you know I have Cincinnati done.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Here is I have this new England back.
- 2:07Speaker 2: I have this bet that the Joe Burrows would not
- 2:11Speaker 2: ever return.
- 2:11Speaker 1: No, no, no, Yeah, wemind that.
- 2:14Speaker 2: I got to remind everyone that is this Zach Taylor's
- 2:16Speaker 2: last days. Ah, listen, this is the last days of
- 2:20Speaker 2: Zach Taylor. It's a bad loss for them. That's horrible,
- 2:24Speaker 2: especially when you have.
- 2:26Speaker 1: You have a season team versus a brand new team
- 2:30Speaker 1: and you lost to Jacoby Brissette.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Yeah, and he looked pretty good.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Actually, I mean, well, you never said that Jacoby Brissett
- 2:39Speaker 1: was ever.
- 2:40Speaker 2: He's never gonna be.
- 2:42Speaker 3: He's your perpetual backup to get you.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Yeah. Fifteen, He'll will never be gused for rutt our
- 2:48Speaker 1: our Lordon Tulsa savior gus.
- 2:50Speaker 2: For fifteen to twenty four one hundred and twenty one
- 2:53Speaker 2: yards fairy podestrian like Joe Burrow. On the other hand,
- 2:57Speaker 2: you know he comes in twenty one or twenty nine,
- 3:00Speaker 2: only one hundred and sixty four yards sack three times
- 3:02Speaker 2: a qbr of fifty six. I think a couple of
- 3:06Speaker 2: things that stood out to me is they missed Joe
- 3:08Speaker 2: Mixon more than they thought they would.
- 3:10Speaker 3: Yes, well you know that that's where they got Zach My.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Well, we got Zach Moss.
- 3:14Speaker 3: We don't need Joe Mixon anymore.
- 3:16Speaker 1: We don't need the guy that understands the offense, that
- 3:18Speaker 1: understands not having an offensive line, whereas you've got Zach
- 3:22Speaker 1: Moss nine yards and Moss used to have an offensive line.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Nine yards, sorry nine carried forty four yard four yards.
- 3:29Speaker 2: He did have one touch And I think another key
- 3:31Speaker 2: to the game was Ramondo Stevenson, former O you guy
- 3:35Speaker 2: twenty five carries one hundred and twenty yards and a touchdown,
- 3:39Speaker 2: and he had you know, he has just re signed
- 3:46Speaker 2: this year, so he's got a new contract.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Was huge surprise, huge, huge surprise for Remandre.
- 3:52Speaker 2: So.
- 3:52Speaker 3: I don't know what went wrong in that game for Cincinnati.
- 3:55Speaker 2: Well, I was really looking at I was trying, I
- 3:57Speaker 2: mean to be honest.
- 3:58Speaker 1: The one thing that I I just so for the
- 4:01Speaker 1: first two quarters, your offense doesn't score, you don't even
- 4:05Speaker 1: get a field goal, you don't even score until the
- 4:07Speaker 1: third quarter.
- 4:08Speaker 3: And you're already down uh, what ten thirteen?
- 4:11Speaker 1: At that point you're already down and then finally you
- 4:14Speaker 1: score they had and did you still going up in
- 4:17Speaker 1: the fourth quarter?
- 4:18Speaker 2: They were just very very just vanilla, very usually reminded
- 4:22Speaker 2: me of Oklahoma's offense. We'll talk about them later. That
- 4:25Speaker 2: reminded me of them, just how we're discompopulated. Talking about discompopulated,
- 4:29Speaker 2: they were. You know, Jamar Chase six six receptions, sixty
- 4:34Speaker 2: two yards. He did average ten yards, but longest was
- 4:37Speaker 2: twenty eight. So but you know, only twenty one receptions
- 4:41Speaker 2: for all the receivers, and you don't have t Higgins.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Did he send out? I guess I think he sent out.
- 4:49Speaker 2: And then or no? Was he on suspense?
- 4:51Speaker 3: Somebody?
- 4:52Speaker 1: Somebody was out one of the wide receivers was out.
- 4:54Speaker 1: So you had Jamar Chase and you had it Boyds. Anyways, well,
- 5:01Speaker 1: let me go look at this. Yes, he was, that's great,
- 5:04Speaker 1: Higgins are Boyd? Who's out?
- 5:06Speaker 2: Higgins was out?
- 5:07Speaker 1: Higgs? Higgins is out and you let Boyd go, right,
- 5:10Speaker 1: But Bud's and he went to Tennessee? Did he? Oh?
- 5:15Speaker 1: I want to say he went to Tennessee. And so
- 5:20Speaker 1: we're looking at six targets for Jamar Chase he got
- 5:23Speaker 1: all six balls, uh, you know, six targets for Andre
- 5:28Speaker 1: days and and and he he only caught three of those.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Tanner Hudson three targets, two catches. Uh guess key targets three.
- 5:42Speaker 1: But was there was weird ship that was going on
- 5:45Speaker 1: in there. But still you you've lost your your your
- 5:51Speaker 1: your three dynamic you had. You had one of the
- 5:53Speaker 1: best receiving course in the league.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Un makes him catch the ball out of backfield too bright.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Right, So you had him. If you look at zech
- 6:01Speaker 1: moss ek Moss two to seventeen and receiving four targets.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Joe Mixon today on his new team for the Texans,
- 6:07Speaker 2: he had thirty d and fifty nine.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Yards on touchdowns. So I mean and apparently Joe Mixon
- 6:11Speaker 1: had one of the worst preseasons, so everybody was iffy
- 6:14Speaker 1: on him, I.
- 6:15Speaker 2: Think, all right. So Bengals, yes, they looked as bad
- 6:19Speaker 2: as their counterpart in the division, Browns did so.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Currently, two teams, so I say, two teams are two
- 6:26Speaker 1: new coaches. One today, Uh that would be the would.
- 6:31Speaker 3: That would be New England?
- 6:32Speaker 1: New England and Seattle, Yes, yes, and both both have
- 6:36Speaker 1: a Pete Carroll tie in. Yes, they do because Pete
- 6:40Speaker 1: Carroll had head coached before Bilichick had gotten there, and
- 6:42Speaker 1: Pete Carroll head coached Seattle.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Other surprise, I mean as far as who I thought
- 6:49Speaker 2: performed better than they should or better than I thought.
- 6:51Speaker 1: They were Arizona Cardinals against Buffalo.
- 6:54Speaker 2: That very surprised because it was closed. Is that what
- 6:57Speaker 2: you're saying.
- 6:57Speaker 3: Oh, no, Buffalo was down.
- 6:59Speaker 2: Yes, I know of them.
- 7:00Speaker 1: I think was was horribly.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Sam Darnold surprise. I thought the Vikings was a big surprise.
- 7:05Speaker 2: I know the Giants are. Yeah, I mean I understand that.
- 7:08Speaker 3: I'm to say, why did you not draft a quarterback
- 7:11Speaker 3: in that draft?
- 7:12Speaker 1: But you know, you and you and you, You're still
- 7:14Speaker 1: going with Daniel Jones.
- 7:17Speaker 2: He's two hundred and eight yards, two touchdowns, one pick.
- 7:22Speaker 2: Maybe not statistically his best game, but I would think
- 7:25Speaker 2: about seeing the highlights and weird thing.
- 7:27Speaker 1: About my weird thing about I want to say one
- 7:29Speaker 1: thing is weird weird thing about Minnesota. Minnesota over the years,
- 7:33Speaker 1: Minnesota as a whole, A quarterback can go there and
- 7:37Speaker 1: performed really well. A middle of the road quarterback. You've got.
- 7:43Speaker 1: You had Teddy Bridgewater, remember he got injured, went there,
- 7:45Speaker 1: performed really well. Case Keenum He's had two stints there,
- 7:50Speaker 1: performed really really well, really well both times. Sam Bradford
- 7:56Speaker 1: remember he went there. He performed really well. Gus Farrott
- 7:59Speaker 1: are our our our greatest Tulsa quarterback of all time
- 8:03Speaker 1: and still technically considered the greatest backup quarterback of all time,
- 8:08Speaker 1: journeyman quarterback. He went there and performed really well. So
- 8:14Speaker 1: so what is it? Is it something weird about Minnesota
- 8:17Speaker 1: where you could just be you could just be that guy,
- 8:20Speaker 1: you could just you can be that middle of the
- 8:22Speaker 1: road guy and then you could you could perform well.
- 8:25Speaker 2: And it's one of those things. Is Minnesota is now
- 8:27Speaker 2: everything I've ever seen? This on another ten Minnesota has
- 8:30Speaker 2: never been one two quarter have a quarterback that they
- 8:35Speaker 2: had to have that was the all star you got
- 8:37Speaker 2: to win the game, you know that time.
- 8:38Speaker 1: No, I got that. I got even when they were
- 8:40Speaker 1: the purple people, and who is that quarterback when their
- 8:44Speaker 1: defense was great taking them to Super Bowls? Oh it was,
- 8:48Speaker 1: it wasn't planned, it was it.
- 8:50Speaker 3: Yeah, that's up saying who was that quarterback? You you
- 8:53Speaker 3: he's not a standout quarterback?
- 8:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I know, you look it up He's not a
- 9:00Speaker 1: stand up quarterback like Minnesota, just stand up quarterback and
- 9:04Speaker 1: the last stand up quarterback they had. Kirk Cousins has
- 9:06Speaker 1: gone to Atlanta to be j color two point Oh
- 9:09Speaker 1: what did he do today? Look like dog?
- 9:14Speaker 2: Exactly what I said as Fran targeted, he was good. Yeah,
- 9:17Speaker 2: Frank Target, I thought he was running. Yeah, sixty sixty.
- 9:20Speaker 2: That was the Purple Peter Purple people. He hold, hold, holding, holding.
- 9:29Speaker 1: And I will say, you know, I had a great
- 9:31Speaker 1: game today running wise. You can see not you can
- 9:35Speaker 1: see right there not really passing away.
- 9:37Speaker 3: Geno Smith. General Smith had a breakaway run today.
- 9:40Speaker 2: It's not a bad bad first interception.
- 9:42Speaker 1: I watched that did he did? And I was I
- 9:45Speaker 1: was listening to it on the radio.
- 9:46Speaker 2: Kenny Walker kind of came back. He played pretty well
- 9:50Speaker 2: for them today at twenty hundred yards, but no going
- 9:54Speaker 2: back to you know, the Vikings impressed me. I think
- 9:58Speaker 2: the cowboy beating the Browns that bad, you know the Browns.
- 10:02Speaker 2: But I said they were gonna step back a little bit. Yes,
- 10:06Speaker 2: I just thought, yeah, we knew that. And they won
- 10:08Speaker 2: so many close games last year. You know, their record
- 10:11Speaker 2: was very but they're.
- 10:12Speaker 3: Starting Deshaun Watson, and we know that Deshaun Watson is
- 10:14Speaker 3: not that guy.
- 10:15Speaker 1: So they had when they start flack out, they start
- 10:19Speaker 1: people's what is his name? Dorian who? The other quarterback?
- 10:24Speaker 2: They got Dorian uh Thompson Robinson.
- 10:27Speaker 3: Thompson Robinson.
- 10:28Speaker 1: They do well, they do well in offense, but they
- 10:31Speaker 1: are embedded in the money to Deshaun Watson. And I
- 10:37Speaker 1: don't know what he's doing twenty four.
- 10:38Speaker 2: I mean he's not getting jerked on twenty four forty five.
- 10:43Speaker 2: That twenty four to forty five, one hundred and sixty
- 10:45Speaker 2: nine yards, one touchdown, two interceptions, sacked six times. You know,
- 10:49Speaker 2: they do have an offensive line problem.
- 10:51Speaker 1: I'm well aware of what that defense did today for
- 10:53Speaker 1: my fantasy league.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Killed and we're dak on the other hand.
- 10:58Speaker 1: And I know what Baker Mayfield did to my des
- 11:00Speaker 1: the Washington Commanders.
- 11:01Speaker 2: And you know, even the running game wasn't there. I
- 11:03Speaker 2: mean that you saw, you definitely saw that. The for Cleveland,
- 11:07Speaker 2: the line, well, it it was a big it really did.
- 11:09Speaker 2: I really did nineteen carries ninety three yards. That's a
- 11:12Speaker 2: little less than five for carre.
- 11:13Speaker 1: FORRD had forty four twelve twelve carries forty four yards.
- 11:16Speaker 1: One touchdown.
- 11:17Speaker 2: But the rest of them, you know, you had Watson
- 11:20Speaker 2: ran a little bit and then Pierre Strong jater.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Yeah, you didn't get anything out of it.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Where you you had Dallas uh twenty five carries one
- 11:27Speaker 2: hundred and two yards in return of Ezekiel Elliott ten
- 11:30Speaker 2: carries forty yards, one touchdown. Rico Daddle had eight carries
- 11:34Speaker 2: twenty six yards. I'm kind of wondering how that line
- 11:40Speaker 2: is looking too for Dallas, But well.
- 11:41Speaker 1: That line looked great. To that line looked amazing.
- 11:44Speaker 2: Beat and that's and that's good because, like I said, Bbe,
- 11:48Speaker 2: there's been.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Baby Bbe and gotten the two rookies. I would say
- 11:52Speaker 1: right now that that Dallas has has one of the
- 11:54Speaker 1: best lines currently. Now, we just played one game.
- 11:57Speaker 2: They're only gonna get better.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Yeah, we we just played one game. But you know
- 12:01Speaker 1: that's just one game. And it was against the Browns,
- 12:03Speaker 1: who technically had the best defense last season. Yes, Cleveland
- 12:08Speaker 1: had and.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Still is still touted to be one of the best
- 12:12Speaker 2: ones this year. That's what I'm saying.
- 12:13Speaker 3: What that House's defense that's took it home.
- 12:15Speaker 2: That's why it was a surprise to me that that win.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Another defense, Okay, another defense that took it home that
- 12:21Speaker 1: won the game Chicago Steelers, and the Steelers eighteen points
- 12:26Speaker 1: off kicking. You got Justin Fields and Russell Wilson and
- 12:31Speaker 1: you can only get eighteen points and your defense carried
- 12:35Speaker 1: you heavily.
- 12:36Speaker 3: At least the Bears defense scored touchdowns.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Yeah, that's right. I can't say the OPPENSI and ship
- 12:42Speaker 2: the uh in first place in the division. Pittsburgh the
- 12:45Speaker 2: one that won. They really lost, yes, because no, no, no,
- 12:52Speaker 2: already a game.
- 12:53Speaker 3: That's when Baltimore got screwed on that.
- 12:56Speaker 2: And I think if you're looking.
- 12:57Speaker 3: At Baltimore got screwed on the foot touch, I.
- 12:59Speaker 2: Think if you're looking at something that to be concerned
- 13:01Speaker 2: about was now it is one of the you know,
- 13:03Speaker 2: Pittsburgh also is going to be talented as one of
- 13:05Speaker 2: the best defenses coming into this. They always said there
- 13:08Speaker 2: was Kirk Cousins was running for his life today and.
- 13:12Speaker 1: I told you Jay Cutler two point zero and you
- 13:15Speaker 1: you you have fought me on this. I will say
- 13:18Speaker 1: that Jalen Hurts is better than than Kirk Cousins. I mean,
- 13:25Speaker 1: I'm gonna I'm just I'm just saying from from an
- 13:28Speaker 1: intelligence I know pocket passer versus runner, versus big arm
- 13:34Speaker 1: versus bigger arm. But but Hurts can still hurt you
- 13:40Speaker 1: with his legs. Kirk Cousins can just hurt himself in
- 13:43Speaker 1: his No.
- 13:44Speaker 2: I agree, That's why I say it's different.
- 13:45Speaker 1: And Kirk Cousins canna only hurt himself with his legs.
- 13:49Speaker 1: He's probably gonna lose his spleen this year.
- 13:51Speaker 2: And he was, he was running. I'm telling you everywhere today.
- 13:54Speaker 1: If you guys, did you want to talk about you
- 13:55Speaker 1: want to talk about a team with a new coach
- 13:57Speaker 1: that we did not think was gonna go downhill Atlanta?
- 14:03Speaker 2: Yeah, and they just their offense, I mean what obviously
- 14:07Speaker 2: one of.
- 14:08Speaker 1: The all over the Yeah, he was.
- 14:10Speaker 3: He was every recovery, everywhere he was, TJ.
- 14:13Speaker 1: TJ was.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Pittsburgh looks good on defense, like we knew they would.
- 14:16Speaker 2: Their offense obviously still sputters. It's hasn't changed much as.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Far as well. I mean, they were they were put
- 14:23Speaker 1: into they were put into field goal range.
- 14:28Speaker 2: So all right, uh so that was my surprises most disappointing. Yeah,
- 14:38Speaker 2: I thought I thought the Commanders will have a little
- 14:41Speaker 2: better offense defense.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Well they did, but they did they did you know, look,
- 14:46Speaker 1: Jadon Daniels, Jayden Daniels did.
- 14:48Speaker 2: Well seventeen so the rookie seventeen to twenty four and
- 14:51Speaker 2: eighty four yards.
- 14:53Speaker 3: And in fantasy points he got twenty eight.
- 14:57Speaker 2: And then you've got Brian Robinson twelve carries for forty yards.
- 15:02Speaker 2: You know, they only averaged less than five a carrie
- 15:05Speaker 2: to Eckler did nothing for them. Then you look at
- 15:09Speaker 2: Baker Mayfield, who's bawling. I'm sure that well cow Turrd
- 15:13Speaker 2: mentioned that tomorrow. Probably not, he'll look right past it.
- 15:16Speaker 2: And nine yards, four touchdowns, and the key thing is
- 15:21Speaker 2: is no picks. There was no picks. Rookie Sensation running
- 15:25Speaker 2: back Brookie Bucky Irvint had nine nine carries for sixty yards.
- 15:30Speaker 3: Do you think that Baker's found his team?
- 15:33Speaker 1: Yes? You think that he's found what he should have
- 15:38Speaker 1: had in Cleveland?
- 15:39Speaker 2: Well, and I think I know just the backup of
- 15:42Speaker 2: the coach. Did you know he does have another new
- 15:45Speaker 2: offensive coordinator this year.
- 15:48Speaker 4: But it's not a new coach because he was going
- 15:50Speaker 4: through the coach team, yes, and then coordinators, and then
- 15:53Speaker 4: he was his team team team, And do you think
- 15:56Speaker 4: that do you think that he's found his home?
- 16:00Speaker 2: Yeah? And that's what he said. He said, it's it's
- 16:01Speaker 2: it's one of the best places he's been. He does
- 16:03Speaker 2: feel like home to him.
- 16:04Speaker 1: And and they they're not dogging him on on you
- 16:09Speaker 1: need to do this. Oh wow, you're injured. Well you
- 16:11Speaker 1: need to play some more correct So are we are
- 16:16Speaker 1: we looking at?
- 16:16Speaker 3: Are we looking at a early ou Baker may than?
- 16:21Speaker 2: I thought, well yeah, And I thought also with like
- 16:23Speaker 2: I said, Liam Cohen coming in as a new offensive coordinator,
- 16:26Speaker 2: I think they're going to be better than they would.
- 16:28Speaker 2: We think Baker got a swagger. They are better this year.
- 16:32Speaker 2: They're gonna be better this year.
- 16:34Speaker 3: Remember the Brown Browns went what owen whatever?
- 16:41Speaker 1: Baker comes in, takes him to the playoffs.
- 16:43Speaker 3: Oh, Baker's not our guy.
- 16:46Speaker 2: There was something there.
- 16:47Speaker 1: You blame it all on Bigger Stefanski. Stephanski is looking
- 16:50Speaker 1: for a scape gun. He picks Baker. They they send
- 16:53Speaker 1: the Crafts or the crafts what the are those people's names?
- 16:57Speaker 1: Send the hasms down to get Deshaun Way and fresh
- 17:00Speaker 1: off his jerk off case, and they're like, Baker, sorry,
- 17:04Speaker 1: you gotta go. And he bounced from Uh. He went
- 17:06Speaker 1: to Carolina and then he ended up in La and
- 17:08Speaker 1: remember that rams for a bit, and you remember he
- 17:10Speaker 1: started three games in LA and did very well, for
- 17:13Speaker 1: which I thought that Sevay. I thought that Sean McVay
- 17:16Speaker 1: was going to try to keep him.
- 17:17Speaker 2: No, I think it's because they had Stafford. They knew
- 17:19Speaker 2: he would come back. But I know, but but they
- 17:21Speaker 2: wanted to get he thinks, you know, that was a
- 17:23Speaker 2: good thing they'd done for him, as they said, hey,
- 17:25Speaker 2: you could be a starter somewhere. We're gonna let you go.
- 17:27Speaker 2: You go find it.
- 17:28Speaker 1: And he ends up on table by which I'm happy
- 17:29Speaker 1: for him, Yes, I really am.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Other big surprises Chicago's non offensive the Raiders was very
- 17:38Speaker 2: non offensive today. I don't think they.
- 17:40Speaker 3: Did Minshoot threw a touchdown in the first quarter.
- 17:43Speaker 2: Twenty five or thirty three through all thirty three times. Yeah,
- 17:46Speaker 2: that's fine.
- 17:47Speaker 3: They scored one touchdown.
- 17:49Speaker 2: They scored ten points.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Now, the problem is is that phild Goldfield goldfield goal
- 17:53Speaker 1: and then you get tired late and you give it
- 17:56Speaker 1: up to Lad mcdonkey.
- 17:59Speaker 2: Two twenty two carries seventy yards on the rushing attack too,
- 18:02Speaker 2: so they only averaged three yards of carry.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Yeah, they got They're supposed to have Samir White or
- 18:08Speaker 1: that's him.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Yeah, Zamir White rookie brought Barris had six receptions fifty
- 18:13Speaker 2: eight yards. Uh, no touch The only Alexander Madison former
- 18:18Speaker 2: running back that I detested last year, it was the
- 18:21Speaker 2: tu he was he got.
- 18:23Speaker 1: The Madison was the leading receiver, wouldn't he for Myers
- 18:27Speaker 1: ended up getting it. He got one touchdown, but at
- 18:29Speaker 1: one point in my but at one point as I
- 18:31Speaker 1: looked at it, and I was like, oh, Kenny Madison
- 18:35Speaker 1: was the leading receiver.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Yeah, and then you had JK. Dobbins.
- 18:40Speaker 3: Yeah. The Raiders lost that game on them on their own.
- 18:43Speaker 2: But I'm surprised. I'm surprised to the defensive line was
- 18:47Speaker 2: never run all over them time. I got it.
- 18:49Speaker 1: I got it.
- 18:49Speaker 3: Chargers had a lackluster offense.
- 18:51Speaker 2: Twenty seven twenty seven carries onndred and seventy six yards.
- 18:54Speaker 2: That's a six and a half average for that, and
- 18:56Speaker 2: so they're running all over them. And the Raiders are
- 18:59Speaker 2: supposed to have a pretty good defensive line. So Max
- 19:03Speaker 2: is supposed to have one of the best. The Dobbins
- 19:05Speaker 2: ate him up ten carries, having thirty five yards we
- 19:07Speaker 2: ever had him in.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Here's the thing, here's the thing. Here's the thing, did
- 19:11Speaker 1: you No, I didn't.
- 19:13Speaker 2: Uh.
- 19:13Speaker 3: You can only do so much.
- 19:16Speaker 1: You can only do so much when your defense out
- 19:18Speaker 1: and and we'll talk about that when we get told
- 19:19Speaker 1: you you can only so much when your defense on
- 19:22Speaker 1: the field longer than your offense. This is this is why,
- 19:26Speaker 1: this is why time of possession is so important in
- 19:30Speaker 1: both college and NFL's.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Looking at on those box scores, where does it show
- 19:38Speaker 2: time of possession?
- 19:39Speaker 1: Oh, it says it rutting alda game. Just go the
- 19:42Speaker 1: So if you go to game cast, right here, we'll go.
- 19:45Speaker 1: We'll go, said the Bears Titans. I just missed it,
- 19:48Speaker 1: and hold up, I'll show you right now. We're in
- 19:50Speaker 1: the Bears Titans because it was right. Time of possession
- 19:54Speaker 1: is right there. So Tennessee had the ball thirty four
- 19:58Speaker 1: fifty three versus Chicago's three, five oh seven. That's all.
- 20:06Speaker 2: So that's one thing I wanted to talk about.
- 20:08Speaker 3: Possession in the NFL is very So what was the time.
- 20:11Speaker 2: Of possession on that? Because I thought Tennessee, you know,
- 20:13Speaker 2: when they were up seventeen to three at halftime.
- 20:15Speaker 1: They they ended up it ended up swinging back in
- 20:18Speaker 1: Chicago in the second half and I thought the mistake,
- 20:20Speaker 1: but Tennessee did have time of possession way more than
- 20:26Speaker 1: Chicago in the first half, so it ended up swinging
- 20:29Speaker 1: back in the second half to where it was thirty
- 20:32Speaker 1: four almost thirty five minutes of Tennessee to Chicago's twenty five.
- 20:40Speaker 1: But yeah, if you look at tom possession on off NFL,
- 20:43Speaker 1: it's very important.
- 20:44Speaker 2: Well that's what looking at the Bengals and Patriots that game, and.
- 20:46Speaker 1: I saw Taylor Williams try to do one of the
- 20:48Speaker 1: one of the fancy runs. Oh no, no, no. He
- 20:53Speaker 1: had two defensive ends and a defensive tackle right inside
- 20:57Speaker 1: of him, and they were love, They're going, you can't
- 20:59Speaker 1: do that, your your fancy college. These guys are faster,
- 21:03Speaker 1: which they are.
- 21:05Speaker 2: That's exactly right, they really are.
- 21:06Speaker 1: And I knew that coming in that he was going
- 21:08Speaker 1: to do that. So, yeah, the time of possession is
- 21:12Speaker 1: very important. That's a mister.
- 21:17Speaker 2: Uh.
- 21:18Speaker 3: And Simone Simone.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Biles husband scored. Yes, I saw that, mister Simone Biles.
- 21:23Speaker 1: You'll always be mister Simone Biles.
- 21:25Speaker 2: What to talk about though, is Caleb fourteen twenty nine
- 21:29Speaker 2: ninety three yards.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Is not having horrible did not have a good massively horrible.
- 21:32Speaker 2: Swift did not have a good running game.
- 21:34Speaker 1: Okay, So so coming in I did not realize that
- 21:38Speaker 1: this coach was gonna have a massive defensive line. Tennessee
- 21:43Speaker 1: defensive line is really good. So oh yeah, yeah, so
- 21:46Speaker 1: anybody going, anybody going with.
- 21:47Speaker 2: A running the defense last run period.
- 21:50Speaker 3: And and for Swift to not be able to get open.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Okay. So in the first half he had one carry
- 21:55Speaker 1: for six yards. He ended up at three carries, four
- 22:01Speaker 1: carries of negative three yards by the time well the
- 22:05Speaker 1: second half camera oh really yeah, yeah, so he got that.
- 22:09Speaker 1: That was that was late that he got that, those
- 22:11Speaker 1: those extra yards. It screwed me over.
- 22:15Speaker 2: Okay, all right, right now currently the ten to three
- 22:20Speaker 2: half time?
- 22:21Speaker 1: Is that what it is? Yeah?
- 22:24Speaker 2: Now it's still it's in the third quarter they started,
- 22:28Speaker 2: So we're in the third quarter.
- 22:30Speaker 1: Well, if anybody's wine, the lego over the Moon set
- 22:33Speaker 1: is coming out. That's as an advertisement I have.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Okay, so next week as far as and then of
- 22:40Speaker 2: course you got the Jets and forty nine ers, which
- 22:41Speaker 2: your prediction on that tomorrow? I think the Jets were
- 22:44Speaker 2: dogs by four. Forty nine ers. I don't have three,
- 22:50Speaker 2: there's three or four. I think three or four points
- 22:51Speaker 2: was the spread? Yeah, it's it's it's a it's a
- 22:53Speaker 2: very if Aaron Aaron.
- 22:56Speaker 1: Run game is gonna be hard for h for Sanford Cisco,
- 23:00Speaker 1: And I do have a running back who allegedly or
- 23:02Speaker 1: allegedly not is injured, which I have no idea. Oh,
- 23:06Speaker 1: Jamal Williams is gonna touch the Jamison Williams.
- 23:09Speaker 2: Yes, good, good, good for Jamison. I had him last
- 23:12Speaker 2: year and he was a little slow starting out, but
- 23:14Speaker 2: the talent is definitely there.
- 23:15Speaker 1: So why am I running back the rookie? Play the
- 23:20Speaker 1: rookie seventeen to three?
- 23:22Speaker 3: Play the damn rookie just played Blake Corse?
- 23:27Speaker 1: They got anyone unperceiving? I don't know if he does.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Do we get return yards?
- 23:31Speaker 3: No for return yards unless this was a touchdown?
- 23:36Speaker 1: Yeah? Cool, cool, Thanks, Thanks Matthew Stafford or not Matthew.
- 23:42Speaker 1: Sean McVay, you donkey all right, So I guess I'm
- 23:45Speaker 1: dropping that guy.
- 23:46Speaker 2: Se If Aaron Rodgers stays healthy, Tomorrow brought pretty Christian McCaffrey.
- 23:52Speaker 2: They've talked about he's got some sort of hamstring. Yeah,
- 23:54Speaker 2: I think he's gonna play, though they're just I think they're.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Being yeah, I don't think it. Yeah, I don't, Okay,
- 23:58Speaker 1: So it was it was like Ceedee Lamb Lamb was
- 24:01Speaker 1: And that's why Cleveland went up to two and a
- 24:03Speaker 1: half as the favorite in the Dallas game, because I
- 24:07Speaker 1: looked at it and the only thing I could figure
- 24:08Speaker 1: out was Ceedee Lamb was on the commissioner's exemple list.
- 24:12Speaker 3: The he was he was somehow injured and they just
- 24:16Speaker 3: kept him on there.
- 24:17Speaker 1: And then.
- 24:21Speaker 3: He played.
- 24:21Speaker 1: I mean he played very well. He bawled out, he
- 24:24Speaker 1: was catching balls that you can only catch, all right.
- 24:29Speaker 2: Upcoming schedule Week two of the NFL games to look
- 24:34Speaker 2: forward to. Uh, this coming week Colts and Packers is
- 24:40Speaker 2: a very interesting matchup. I think that's gonna be game.
- 24:43Speaker 1: Even though they lost to Houston, they covered points. Richardon
- 24:47Speaker 1: looked pretty good and a half points. They got the
- 24:49Speaker 1: two points.
- 24:50Speaker 2: Texans at the Bears, that's that's a slaughter Sunday night game.
- 24:56Speaker 2: And then the Monday night game Falcons at the Eagles.
- 24:59Speaker 2: But you know, the Bucks play the Lions. That also
- 25:03Speaker 2: could be a good game to see if the defense
- 25:05Speaker 2: is good for Tampa. Baker continues up, Bills and Dolphins
- 25:10Speaker 2: are always fun to me.
- 25:11Speaker 1: That's it's and then McCaffrey's got a legth thing.
- 25:16Speaker 2: And then the three o'clock game Bengals and Chiefs. We'll
- 25:20Speaker 2: see if the Bengals kind of have a bounce back.
- 25:21Speaker 2: They're being Kansas City this weekend. Uh to play that
- 25:25Speaker 2: usually they kind of own them regular season.
- 25:28Speaker 3: Since he usually has a really great.
- 25:32Speaker 5: So it should really great. Should be fun in Kansas City. Okay,
- 25:37Speaker 5: all right, let's move on. Uh uh stock some football.
- 25:41Speaker 5: How about some local football. We'll talk about Tulsa. Well,
- 25:44Speaker 5: we'll obviously they're gonna talk about OU and Oklahoma State.
- 25:47Speaker 5: Let's talk about Tulsa real quick. Tulsa played Arkansas State
- 25:50Speaker 5: this weekend, the.
- 25:51Speaker 3: First game of the season.
- 25:53Speaker 1: They started against Northwestern Northwestern State. Have they won that?
- 25:59Speaker 1: They they came on late, they won that. And then
- 26:02Speaker 1: yesterday was Arkansas.
- 26:03Speaker 2: State twenty eight twenty four final.
- 26:08Speaker 1: Houston.
- 26:09Speaker 2: I'm sorry that Texas Tulsa. I can't talk Tulsa. Well,
- 26:13Speaker 2: I told you were two weeks twenty twenty four.
- 26:15Speaker 3: Now the I watched the game. I did watch the game.
- 26:21Speaker 3: Uh uh, Tulsa.
- 26:22Speaker 1: There's a touchdown missing for Tulsa out of that. Tulsa
- 26:27Speaker 1: was driving and was it Sanders the running back, Yes,
- 26:32Speaker 1: he was.
- 26:33Speaker 2: Maybe Watkins No, no, it was a vent and Watkins
- 26:39Speaker 2: are you talking about them?
- 26:40Speaker 1: Maybe?
- 26:41Speaker 2: No, no it was.
- 26:42Speaker 1: It was a Tulsa So it would have been the.
- 26:45Speaker 2: Guys and the Watkins kid, both who had a fun
- 26:47Speaker 2: good player.
- 26:48Speaker 1: Who technically had a fun below.
- 26:51Speaker 2: Here look at the butt, honey. They don't show turnovers
- 26:56Speaker 2: on this.
- 26:56Speaker 1: I'm sorry, team studs.
- 27:00Speaker 2: Make sure you fumbles lost. It did in the show.
- 27:02Speaker 3: Was one, so anyways, it might have been.
- 27:05Speaker 1: It might have been. Anyways, Tulsa lost the fumble out
- 27:10Speaker 1: of the back. He was he was, he was, he
- 27:12Speaker 1: was crossing Roddy's was crossing the line. He switched hands
- 27:14Speaker 1: with football to get it over the line. Now, had
- 27:17Speaker 1: he kept both hands on the football to get it over,
- 27:21Speaker 1: different story. We would have had a touchdown or been
- 27:24Speaker 1: down on the one. But he screwed up. Ball was
- 27:28Speaker 1: knocked out when out of the back of the end zone.
- 27:30Speaker 1: So there's a lost touchdown right there. So technically Tulsa
- 27:33Speaker 1: did win that game. The Sun Belt referees were very
- 27:37Speaker 1: heavy against University of Tulsa, and penalties called I saw
- 27:44Speaker 1: some I saw, I saw the The Arkansas State Red
- 27:49Speaker 1: Wolves doing stuff that Tulsa was doing and not getting
- 27:53Speaker 1: called for it.
- 27:55Speaker 2: And you know the game you look at just as
- 27:57Speaker 2: far as stats, you watched it, I didn't.
- 27:59Speaker 1: Tulsa lost it. Tulsa lost it on their own. I
- 28:01Speaker 1: think they should have won that. That is again that
- 28:03Speaker 1: they should have won.
- 28:04Speaker 2: Statistically, they're about the same three hundred sixty two yards
- 28:06Speaker 2: for Tulsa. Red Wolves had three ninety six. You know,
- 28:09Speaker 2: each had a turnover. The key thing there is we
- 28:12Speaker 2: talked about earlier is that time possession. Arkansas State had
- 28:15Speaker 2: the ball nine more minutes and they ran fourteen. I
- 28:18Speaker 2: know it doesn't sound ra John fourteen fourteen more fourteen.
- 28:25Speaker 1: Their quarterback was was all over the place.
- 28:28Speaker 2: They open and then they'll play Michigan this week.
- 28:31Speaker 1: Arkansas State, well oclohob the state. Tulsa plays Olden State
- 28:35Speaker 1: eleven am.
- 28:36Speaker 2: And you didn't get U tickets from that in Tulsa
- 28:39Speaker 2: eleven AM. Now, who's segueing to that game? Since we're
- 28:44Speaker 2: going to talk about Oklahoma State, we can talk about
- 28:46Speaker 2: this last week's game. Was there going to the most
- 28:50Speaker 2: exciting game?
- 28:51Speaker 1: Oh my god?
- 28:53Speaker 3: The seventeen to watch?
- 28:55Speaker 2: What was Arkansas twenty one seven and a half, Yes,
- 28:58Speaker 2: twenty one seven and a half. Abby Patrino looks like
- 29:01Speaker 2: he's back. I'm calling you know this offense the tailing
- 29:04Speaker 2: green kid twenty six and forty five. He didn't throw
- 29:07Speaker 2: the ball so great, Well, he can move I mean
- 29:10Speaker 2: that guy.
- 29:11Speaker 3: Arkansas looked great guy until they didn't.
- 29:13Speaker 2: That guy can move his legs.
- 29:15Speaker 3: Arkansas looked amazing until they didn't.
- 29:18Speaker 2: And I was like, six hundred and forty eight total
- 29:19Speaker 2: yards compared to Oshan.
- 29:21Speaker 1: By the way, if you want to, please go to
- 29:23Speaker 1: Oklahoma State's website and find their QR codes too. I
- 29:27Speaker 1: don't know, give them more money, who.
- 29:29Speaker 3: Cares, but Oklahoma's state. I don't know how they pulled
- 29:33Speaker 3: that out of their ass. I watched that.
- 29:35Speaker 2: Statistically they should I watched.
- 29:37Speaker 1: It, and I was like, huh and and I was
- 29:40Speaker 1: just like, okay, all you gotta do is go into
- 29:43Speaker 1: overtime and cover them eight points and I'm.
- 29:46Speaker 2: Good seven and a half. I know went for two,
- 29:51Speaker 2: and I was like, oh, they had they had to.
- 29:54Speaker 1: Because first, yeah, first possession you get, you kick the
- 29:57Speaker 1: field goal. Second posession you gotta go for right, they
- 29:59Speaker 1: both missed the field going. I was like, oh, thank
- 30:01Speaker 1: you Lord, Jesus, we got the cover. We got the cover.
- 30:06Speaker 1: We didn't get the cover up. I was off and
- 30:11Speaker 1: shipped the bed. Oh home, uh.
- 30:15Speaker 2: Oh, you want to move on to them. I was
- 30:16Speaker 2: just no, no, no, no. I always that was a
- 30:19Speaker 2: game that Oklahoma State needed to satistically six even forty.
- 30:22Speaker 1: It was a game that Oklahoma State needed six and
- 30:24Speaker 1: forty eight yards versus I want to say that rising
- 30:28Speaker 1: out of util he went out of that game with
- 30:30Speaker 1: a hand injury. I don't know if it came back
- 30:32Speaker 1: in because that's in two weeks, right, Yes, that's in
- 30:35Speaker 1: two and you still need to get tied. You don't
- 30:37Speaker 1: get ticke us to any of this. What is the.
- 30:40Speaker 2: I'm trying to think that would be week four. I
- 30:44Speaker 2: think it's a schedule. Yeah, yeah, I think that's no,
- 30:49Speaker 2: it might be. It's no, it's gonna be the.
- 30:55Speaker 1: He's confused.
- 30:56Speaker 2: No. I was just thinking when they play you talk,
- 30:57Speaker 2: because don't they play Kansas State. I think they play
- 30:59Speaker 2: Kansa State first.
- 31:01Speaker 1: So anyway, previews already opened Big twelve against Baylor, but.
- 31:06Speaker 2: That was an already scheduled game, so they're gonna play
- 31:08Speaker 2: that as a non con was the Baylor game? Yes,
- 31:12Speaker 2: because they're not playing each other this year anyway, So
- 31:15Speaker 2: they kept that. Yes, so they kept that game on
- 31:19Speaker 2: their schedule because they already had it week four.
- 31:22Speaker 1: That's on the twenty first, twenty first, Okay, So, and
- 31:27Speaker 1: I don't know if cam Rising's coming back. I don't know.
- 31:30Speaker 2: So Tulsa Oklahoma State this weekend. Yes, the in Tulsa the.
- 31:37Speaker 1: The Bastard brothers versus the beloved baby brothers. And I
- 31:44Speaker 1: think so we know that Olden State's the Bastard Brothers.
- 31:48Speaker 2: I don't know. I mean I think that ohs, she
- 31:53Speaker 2: was going to have to, I mean, not take them
- 31:56Speaker 2: for granted. I think always She's more talented obviously.
- 32:01Speaker 1: So that's what's going to kill them.
- 32:02Speaker 2: They're gonna have to own the time of possession Tulsa.
- 32:06Speaker 1: That has no issue.
- 32:08Speaker 2: I say that Arkansas did everything to win the game
- 32:10Speaker 2: and still lost. I mean, statistically, everything they.
- 32:13Speaker 1: Did they should have been at the end they should
- 32:14Speaker 1: have had they did.
- 32:15Speaker 2: They did have more turnovers though than than Oklahoma State
- 32:19Speaker 2: lived did.
- 32:20Speaker 1: Uh. Then there was there was a lot going on
- 32:22Speaker 1: in that game that that was I was very surprised.
- 32:27Speaker 1: But Green, the quarterback for Arkansas, amazing looked amazing. He
- 32:30Speaker 1: did everything he could to keep keep, to keep Arkansas.
- 32:35Speaker 2: And Arkansas only punted five times or three times the
- 32:37Speaker 2: whole game. They only had three punts eleven and nineteen on.
- 32:40Speaker 3: Well, that's upseting. They did everything to keep themselves.
- 32:43Speaker 2: Eleven and nineteen on third down points forre play was
- 32:45Speaker 2: higher rushing two hundred and thirty two to fifty nine.
- 32:48Speaker 2: I mean, everything was just in Florida or Arkansas's favorite
- 32:51Speaker 2: and they and that was it.
- 32:54Speaker 1: They just that was it.
- 32:55Speaker 2: And and it's quite impressive to throw issue to get
- 32:58Speaker 2: out of there with a win, to be honest, and
- 33:01Speaker 2: Arkansas is better than they have been. Arkansas very very
- 33:04Speaker 2: much improved from last season. Do you think Pittman keeps
- 33:08Speaker 2: a job? Do you think they're gonna give it to Patrina?
- 33:12Speaker 2: I mean, if he goes six and I don't know
- 33:14Speaker 2: about I think there's a lot of money people that
- 33:17Speaker 2: want it.
- 33:17Speaker 1: Patrina back in Well, I mean, he's already got a
- 33:21Speaker 1: divorce and I'm sure there's a new volleyball lady or
- 33:24Speaker 1: whatever he was cheating with it. We'll ride on his
- 33:27Speaker 1: three wheel motorcycle.
- 33:28Speaker 2: Right, let's go move on to the game.
- 33:31Speaker 1: We know you, Yeah, we're talking about Oklahoma first, before
- 33:36Speaker 1: we get into the arrest of college football.
- 33:39Speaker 2: We'll talk a little bit about that and the crazy
- 33:42Speaker 2: we'll talk. We'll give you some little rundown on last
- 33:45Speaker 2: week's games, yesterday's games.
- 33:47Speaker 1: Oh you, Oh you has more than just an offensive
- 33:50Speaker 1: line problem. Oh you has a rookie quarterback problem. Oh
- 33:57Speaker 1: you also has a no dynamic receivers problem.
- 34:01Speaker 2: And I told you this except Burks. Burks is enough.
- 34:04Speaker 1: But I told you this that I hated Snaky Riley
- 34:08Speaker 1: for the fact that Snaky Riley could find those weird
- 34:12Speaker 1: receivers out of nowhere, those dynamic receivers out of nowhere.
- 34:17Speaker 1: And right now we're we are hurting four big play
- 34:22Speaker 1: wide receivers.
- 34:24Speaker 2: Injuries has played a big part in that.
- 34:26Speaker 3: Yeah, Glibill, Gibson, and.
- 34:29Speaker 2: I'm gonna give I'm gonna give a little I'm gonna
- 34:31Speaker 2: take up a little bit for Jackson Arnold in that
- 34:33Speaker 2: aspect because he doesn't have I mean, every wide receiver
- 34:36Speaker 2: you're trying to get on the same page with is
- 34:38Speaker 2: gone except Burks since they so you're moving a lot
- 34:41Speaker 2: of the more freshmen in It's it's it's third his
- 34:44Speaker 2: third game. But my problem is is that the way
- 34:47Speaker 2: that UNLV handled manhandles Houston last week? And then to
- 34:52Speaker 2: watch how he just could not do anything against Houston's defense?
- 34:56Speaker 3: What is our what is our what is our problem
- 34:57Speaker 3: in the second half?
- 34:58Speaker 1: Not being able to score?
- 35:01Speaker 2: Our defense outscored our offense in the second half and
- 35:03Speaker 2: we got two points safe.
- 35:05Speaker 1: Well, I think in the and and last week's didn't
- 35:07Speaker 1: they got how huge was that?
- 35:09Speaker 3: Didn't they outscore? So didn't they get a touchdown?
- 35:13Speaker 1: I don't.
- 35:13Speaker 2: I don't remember him that I remember on the typical game.
- 35:16Speaker 1: Yeah, but we were going up something and so I'm
- 35:20Speaker 1: I might I'm gonna be going back, oh forty yards.
- 35:25Speaker 1: Oh he is gonna go back to maybe that seven
- 35:28Speaker 1: eight when we might get.
- 35:29Speaker 2: About people looking at that. Yeah, I thought the same thing.
- 35:32Speaker 2: There's a lot to fix, because I mean, I think
- 35:34Speaker 2: you've got your Crimson glasses on and you're sitting there
- 35:36Speaker 2: looking at him, and then you're going this is just well,
- 35:39Speaker 2: then you see it.
- 35:40Speaker 1: You take the.
- 35:42Speaker 2: Jackson Arnold nineteen to thirty, two hundred and seventy four yards,
- 35:44Speaker 2: had two touchdowns, one interception, could not get the ball
- 35:48Speaker 2: running either.
- 35:49Speaker 3: Barnes twelve yards interceptions gonna happen.
- 35:51Speaker 2: Taylor tatterp is gonna Taylor Tatum had one carry. That's unacceptable.
- 35:55Speaker 2: He should be in there a lot more than that.
- 35:57Speaker 2: And Gavin Sauchak had four carries.
- 36:00Speaker 1: Like I said, I don't know what was up with
- 36:02Speaker 1: the play Cang, I don't know what Dick nuts and
- 36:06Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 36:07Speaker 2: Well, that's another thing to talk about. I mean a
- 36:09Speaker 2: lot of people are already starting to get heat on him.
- 36:11Speaker 2: And you know, two hundred and forty nine yards for
- 36:13Speaker 2: Oklhoma's offense in a game. We used to have that
- 36:15Speaker 2: in the quarter offense. We also talked about the beginning
- 36:19Speaker 2: of the season, we're gonna have to win some games differently.
- 36:21Speaker 2: There's gonna be lower scoring games. But this is not
- 36:26Speaker 2: This is not against Houston. This would have been this
- 36:29Speaker 2: game would have been someone like we're playing el is
- 36:32Speaker 2: not Auburn or something like that. That's what you would
- 36:35Speaker 2: see in one of those.
- 36:36Speaker 1: Okay, So then you get into that Auburn just lost
- 36:38Speaker 1: a cal.
- 36:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm not really worried about them. And I told
- 36:41Speaker 2: you this beforehand, and our listeners that did it. I
- 36:44Speaker 2: think everyone has fell in love with Auburn for some reason.
- 36:46Speaker 2: They done nothing this offseason to fight to tell me
- 36:50Speaker 2: that they're going to be eight or nine wins the
- 36:52Speaker 2: March and Hugh Freeze and they and like I said,
- 36:54Speaker 2: they lost to California.
- 36:55Speaker 1: The March and Hugh Freezes is not a foot goal,
- 36:58Speaker 1: no school football, but football that I mean Aaron Rodgers
- 37:02Speaker 1: came from there. Did they do produce some people. I
- 37:07Speaker 1: mean Cal's not a horrible They're just not overall football.
- 37:12Speaker 2: So TWU lane this week and they what they did
- 37:15Speaker 2: against Kansas and they are better and played them very well.
- 37:18Speaker 2: Actually had that had them leading at the end, Kansas
- 37:21Speaker 2: State pulled that out I think thirty right at the end.
- 37:24Speaker 1: Right at the end, two touchdowns.
- 37:26Speaker 3: We cannot do that.
- 37:27Speaker 2: Against It was twenty to ten at halftime in that
- 37:30Speaker 2: two lane game. So Tulane comes in and they're better
- 37:34Speaker 2: than Houston, they're better than Temple and uh and it's
- 37:40Speaker 2: just something that they're going to have to get, I
- 37:43Speaker 2: mean immediately, get moving and get that offense in a
- 37:46Speaker 2: rhythm that that just not has not been in the
- 37:50Speaker 2: offensive line is not good. We knew that that was
- 37:52Speaker 2: going to be a problem, but they're not. Even this
- 37:54Speaker 2: last game, they didn't even try to run the ball hardly.
- 37:56Speaker 2: I mean they got stuffed. It's like they're not opening
- 37:58Speaker 2: any lanes. Anything offense was was was not there. It
- 38:02Speaker 2: was it was.
- 38:03Speaker 1: It was vanilla, it was it was very, very, very
- 38:09Speaker 1: very milk toast, very just Yeah.
- 38:11Speaker 2: Well, look, we could have the right now and at
- 38:15Speaker 2: Missouri thirteen catch one hundred forty nine yards exactly. Okay,
- 38:19Speaker 2: But yeah, it's ugly and I'm not gonna give up.
- 38:22Speaker 2: I'm not saying we should give up on the season yet,
- 38:23Speaker 2: but there's there's some major issues that's gonna have to
- 38:26Speaker 2: be fixed in the next couple of games or you're
- 38:29Speaker 2: looking at a very long win losing streak.
- 38:32Speaker 3: I'm aware, I'm aware.
- 38:33Speaker 2: So so what.
- 38:36Speaker 1: What was your what was your favorite in the last
- 38:38Speaker 1: two weeks? What was your favorite game to watch.
- 38:42Speaker 2: Of all of them? Yes, favorite, I didn't get to
- 38:47Speaker 2: watch it. I want I mean Houston or the Arkansas
- 38:52Speaker 2: mistake game.
- 38:52Speaker 1: I watched it. I watched it. We watched a lot
- 38:56Speaker 1: of football.
- 38:56Speaker 2: Yesterday we watched Oregon.
- 38:58Speaker 1: I watched that barely barely and they moved up. How
- 39:03Speaker 1: did they move up? But they barely beat Boise.
- 39:05Speaker 2: Thirty seven to thirty four. Final Gabri they.
- 39:08Speaker 3: Were trading touchdowns.
- 39:09Speaker 2: Yes, they were at one point well and it was
- 39:11Speaker 2: twenty to fourteen and a half, and then you know,
- 39:15Speaker 2: Oregon goes and outscores them thirteen points just in the
- 39:17Speaker 2: third quarter.
- 39:18Speaker 1: And that they were trading time. They they were trading,
- 39:21Speaker 1: they were trading points there at the end. I was
- 39:23Speaker 1: watching it. They were trading points. But my pen favorite,
- 39:26Speaker 1: Penn State.
- 39:27Speaker 2: Also struggled life against Bulling Green.
- 39:29Speaker 1: But oh yeah, Penn State should not be remember, I
- 39:31Speaker 1: don't know why they're still.
- 39:33Speaker 2: I mean, and one of the biggest games we watched
- 39:35Speaker 2: yesterday was Notre Dame Northern Illinois.
- 39:37Speaker 1: Was that going to be it's that's lovely?
- 39:39Speaker 2: Yeah, what a shocking million one point one point four million?
- 39:45Speaker 2: Is that what it was?
- 39:46Speaker 1: I thought it was a little show one point four
- 39:47Speaker 1: million to play there.
- 39:48Speaker 2: So they paid them that much money to go there,
- 39:53Speaker 2: and uh and uh, you know, and Notre Dame against
- 39:58Speaker 2: A and M looked very very good. Would the week
- 40:01Speaker 2: before even to the point touting, well, I was touting
- 40:05Speaker 2: that the schedule got softer for them for the rest
- 40:09Speaker 2: of the rest of the season. So they turn around
- 40:12Speaker 2: and then they're gonna go play Northern Illinois. The Huskies,
- 40:17Speaker 2: who's notoriously a good football team, have been a good
- 40:21Speaker 2: football team. They go in there and they lay a
- 40:25Speaker 2: huge egg at home and Northern Will ends up upsetting
- 40:29Speaker 2: them sixteen fourteen. They got the late field goal in
- 40:35Speaker 2: the end towards the end of the game put them
- 40:37Speaker 2: up by two total yards. What really stuck out to
- 40:41Speaker 2: me was that they outgained them through in eighty eight
- 40:44Speaker 2: to two hundred and eighty six and the interceptions thrown.
- 40:48Speaker 2: You know, Riley Leonard did not have a good game
- 40:52Speaker 2: comparable to what he had the week before against a
- 40:55Speaker 2: and m Riley was twenty to thirty two, one of
- 40:57Speaker 2: them sixty yards. But what was key is that to
- 40:59Speaker 2: inner exception, so give the ball back to them. Where
- 41:03Speaker 2: their quarterback Ethan Hampton ten and nineteen pedestrian numbers, But
- 41:08Speaker 2: he made such big plays when they needed to have it,
- 41:10Speaker 2: whether it was a few yards and a scramble, one
- 41:12Speaker 2: hundred ninety eight yards one touchdown and they had you know,
- 41:18Speaker 2: but the Brown kid had almost one hundred yards rushing
- 41:21Speaker 2: and then they had another guy, the Gavin Williams. So
- 41:24Speaker 2: statistically the rushing yards was one ninety to one twenty
- 41:27Speaker 2: three and time of possession was huge. Northern always kept
- 41:31Speaker 2: the ball from them, and it's another It's one of
- 41:35Speaker 2: those things that you know, we've talked about Notre Dame
- 41:39Speaker 2: and how we think that well, I mean I thought
- 41:41Speaker 2: they looked a lot better. They didn't. I mean, they
- 41:44Speaker 2: come back down to reality, and I think that there's
- 41:48Speaker 2: beginning to ben. You know, Marcus Freeman comes in, has
- 41:51Speaker 2: got good recruiting classes, building the team, but there's been
- 41:55Speaker 2: some bad losses under him that you think because you know,
- 41:58Speaker 2: when you thought maybe you think maybe he got over that.
- 42:02Speaker 2: You think he might have got over that game one
- 42:04Speaker 2: of it. Okay, A and M big game, you know,
- 42:06Speaker 2: and you know, and then all of a sudden you
- 42:09Speaker 2: come back to that and I just don't think his
- 42:10Speaker 2: team was ready.
- 42:11Speaker 3: I think did A and M take too much out
- 42:14Speaker 3: of them.
- 42:16Speaker 1: Or did they set on their laurels and say, okay,
- 42:18Speaker 1: well we can coast for this game going into forget
- 42:23Speaker 1: what their next game is.
- 42:23Speaker 2: That's predue.
- 42:24Speaker 1: I think next which is another coasting game, one would think,
- 42:29Speaker 1: you know, but apparently in you and and that coach,
- 42:33Speaker 1: I'll give it to that coach. That coach was crying
- 42:35Speaker 1: at the end. That was the biggest win of their
- 42:36Speaker 1: fucking program.
- 42:37Speaker 2: Oh, I'm sorry, they have they have a week off.
- 42:40Speaker 1: Oh oh yes, So they were going into a bus. Yeah,
- 42:43Speaker 1: they were definitely cruising. That coach was crying and I
- 42:46Speaker 1: understand they don't. I'm sorry, I'm behind.
- 42:49Speaker 2: It's Purdue. I've read the wrong one. Sorry, it's due fourteen,
- 42:52Speaker 2: two thirty and it's at Purdue. Okay, ready, so be ready.
- 42:56Speaker 1: But but right there, that coach had the biggest win
- 43:01Speaker 1: of that program's life ever.
- 43:05Speaker 3: We had a number five team.
- 43:06Speaker 2: Yeah, and they've had some big wins. That's why I
- 43:07Speaker 2: told you when when we left, I was telling the
- 43:09Speaker 2: listeners that you know, Northern Illinois is notoriously had some
- 43:12Speaker 2: good football prom Yeah, seasons you.
- 43:14Speaker 3: Know pulled out, have pulled out.
- 43:17Speaker 1: I told you. What's funny is I can always remember.
- 43:19Speaker 2: The mask that's the Southern Illinois. This is Northern Illinois.
- 43:22Speaker 2: They're the Yes, yes, not Slukies. No, they are that
- 43:27Speaker 2: the Selukies is Western. No, it's Southern Illinois and Slukies. Yeah,
- 43:35Speaker 2: I think it's this, but anyway, no, I know they're
- 43:37Speaker 2: a dog. I thought, no, Huskies is Northern, but I
- 43:40Speaker 2: don't know who the Slukies.
- 43:42Speaker 1: The Huskies.
- 43:42Speaker 2: They are the Huskies. Yeah, but I don't know who
- 43:44Speaker 2: the Sulukies are. That's what I want you to find.
- 43:46Speaker 2: Who's that is? It is its Eastern? Is it the red?
- 43:50Speaker 1: Is it where?
- 43:53Speaker 2: Okay, there we go.
- 43:54Speaker 1: I know there's a dog. I know it was a dog.
- 43:56Speaker 1: That's all I know. So I do know mascots.
- 43:59Speaker 2: That was the big that's probably the biggest upset. Houston
- 44:02Speaker 2: would have been right there if they would have beat us.
- 44:05Speaker 3: Oh okay, So what you could say is it was
- 44:07Speaker 3: upset Saturday. It really was one.
- 44:13Speaker 1: You had Oregon not really beating Boise State when Oregon
- 44:18Speaker 1: should have manhattled Boise.
- 44:19Speaker 3: State, Penn State. What they win by seven seven over
- 44:26Speaker 3: Bowling Green and.
- 44:28Speaker 2: And and was and was losing a halftime as well
- 44:31Speaker 2: in that.
- 44:31Speaker 3: They were uh and we can go through.
- 44:34Speaker 1: I know. I did also watch the Tennessee and Sea
- 44:37Speaker 1: State game.
- 44:37Speaker 2: It was such a back kicking Tennessee's good.
- 44:39Speaker 1: It started out really good, and then it just Nico
- 44:44Speaker 1: North Carolina. Nico just took everything like he was playing.
- 44:50Speaker 1: Arkansas tried to upset Oklahoma State. Two lane very close
- 44:54Speaker 1: to upsetting Kansas State. LSU allowed twenty two points to
- 45:00Speaker 1: Nichols one. Yes, twenty one.
- 45:04Speaker 3: Illinois upsetting Kansas.
- 45:07Speaker 2: That would surprise me a little bit.
- 45:08Speaker 1: You know, I was on the fence with that when
- 45:10Speaker 1: because Kansas, I.
- 45:11Speaker 3: Mean, Iowa stay upset Iowa?
- 45:14Speaker 2: Yes, they and I watched that game that was.
- 45:16Speaker 3: The other Syracuse upset Georgia Tech.
- 45:19Speaker 2: Well, we talked about that game. I said, cal McCord
- 45:21Speaker 2: played really good in the front.
- 45:22Speaker 1: I know, I did. I did. You're like, yeah, Georgia,
- 45:26Speaker 1: I was.
- 45:26Speaker 3: You know, look at it. It's a three point game,
- 45:29Speaker 3: all right, it's three it's three points.
- 45:31Speaker 1: Either team could have won that, I know.
- 45:33Speaker 2: But McCord looked good.
- 45:34Speaker 3: Mccordy looked amazing.
- 45:36Speaker 2: Touchdowns three hundred and eighty one yards.
- 45:38Speaker 1: Yeah. Georgia Tech had had been running a two game gambit. Hey,
- 45:42Speaker 1: and I got the Pittsburgh Cincinnati for you.
- 45:44Speaker 2: You did. And it was the bad thing about it
- 45:46Speaker 2: was is they give Pittsburgh fifteen points in the fourth quarter.
- 45:49Speaker 2: Didn't do nothing to set on the rear the whole time.
- 45:52Speaker 1: Cincinnati just laid an egg in the fourth and I
- 45:54Speaker 1: don't know what happened there. I didn't see that game.
- 45:58Speaker 1: I didn't see any the highlights.
- 46:00Speaker 2: I saw that they were up by fifteen in the
- 46:01Speaker 2: fourth quarter. I'm like, I got this, I got this one.
- 46:04Speaker 1: Oh no, did you pick Cincinnati?
- 46:06Speaker 2: I did?
- 46:06Speaker 3: I picked ye Oh.
- 46:08Speaker 1: I thought you took it with me.
- 46:10Speaker 2: I didn't. I didn't, sure, sure? Sure?
- 46:15Speaker 1: What else did we screw?
- 46:16Speaker 3: I mean there was a lot like cal upsetting out Auburn.
- 46:20Speaker 2: It was the big one, yes in Michigan State.
- 46:22Speaker 3: Oh yeah, Michigan State.
- 46:23Speaker 1: Big Maryland thought.
- 46:23Speaker 2: That was a big three points. Yeah. I thought that
- 46:25Speaker 2: was a big win for them. Maryland picked you know,
- 46:28Speaker 2: I did too.
- 46:28Speaker 3: A field goal. I've lost two games by field goals.
- 46:31Speaker 2: Thought Maryland would be better this year. I did too.
- 46:34Speaker 3: I've lost two games by field goals? How bad is that?
- 46:37Speaker 2: But I told you at Michigan State, I said, I
- 46:38Speaker 2: like that coach. I almost picked them, but I.
- 46:40Speaker 3: Thought, oh well, and we need to get to one
- 46:44Speaker 3: of my two.
- 46:46Speaker 1: Probably what was the besides the Notre Dame Illinois game
- 46:50Speaker 1: of the day, my favorite win of the night, the
- 46:55Speaker 1: night games. You know where I'm going with this.
- 46:58Speaker 2: We're talking Nebraska.
- 46:59Speaker 1: You we are, we are. Let's go ahead and look
- 47:04Speaker 1: at what happened there. Now, Colorado scored late. They didn't
- 47:11Speaker 1: get a touchdown to the fourth quarter. Dylan Royola, And
- 47:16Speaker 1: where was he previously?
- 47:18Speaker 2: He's a freshman.
- 47:19Speaker 1: Oh yeah, freshman, okay, true freshman coming, Yes, looked great.
- 47:23Speaker 1: Wasn't he committed to commit? I think Florida?
- 47:27Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, Royola was committed somewhere else. It came with
- 47:30Speaker 3: Matt Rule. Matt Rule is back.
- 47:33Speaker 1: Baby, Matt Rule is back at his element. He is
- 47:36Speaker 1: a college coach and he'll always be a college coach. Now.
- 47:40Speaker 3: I saw that Nebraska was back.
- 47:42Speaker 1: I saw all that.
- 47:43Speaker 2: I saw that, and it's good for football, and it's
- 47:46Speaker 2: good for them. They deserve I mean.
- 47:47Speaker 1: Should durs Sanders had no idea what to do. Travis
- 47:53Speaker 1: Hunter was shut down on both sides of the ball.
- 47:56Speaker 2: Well, I wanted to talk a little bit about that
- 47:58Speaker 2: three hundred and thirty four yards total to two hundred
- 48:01Speaker 2: and sixty, So the yardage weton that far off. The
- 48:03Speaker 2: key thing is Nebrass got one hundred and forty nine
- 48:05Speaker 2: yards rushing as a team. As I say, look at
- 48:07Speaker 2: their had sixteen to they pounded sixteen total, and that's
- 48:11Speaker 2: because she had negative thirty yards.
- 48:15Speaker 1: Was he sacked eight times or something like that first
- 48:18Speaker 1: down and they kept running backwards.
- 48:21Speaker 2: The penalty and I told you, I told you I
- 48:24Speaker 2: was going to catch up to it. Penalties were high
- 48:26Speaker 2: at that time of possession. Again, like we've talked about it.
- 48:28Speaker 2: We'd preached just eleven minutes difference.
- 48:30Speaker 1: Uh did Travis Smonderd did have one hundred and ten
- 48:33Speaker 1: yards but zero?
- 48:34Speaker 3: Tell you was kept out of the end zone.
- 48:37Speaker 1: And uh you had Jimmy Horn Junior had had a
- 48:39Speaker 1: fumble and uh and Stop had a fumble a fumble
- 48:42Speaker 1: and Stops was lost.
- 48:43Speaker 2: And I yeah, because the two turnovers essentially was.
- 48:46Speaker 3: Oh, they were showing.
- 48:47Speaker 1: They were showing so much about the black Shirts and
- 48:51Speaker 1: and how the black Shirts are are are there?
- 48:54Speaker 3: The black Shirts are bad? Baby?
- 48:56Speaker 2: Well, I think twenty three to thirty eight for two
- 48:58Speaker 2: hundred and forty four yards, I think we could go ahead.
- 48:59Speaker 2: And with that heisman talked.
- 49:01Speaker 1: To Bed, So who's your heisman?
- 49:03Speaker 2: Though, well, I didn't say it was. I mean Travis Travis.
- 49:08Speaker 3: Actually, I'm going to say that Travis is still very
- 49:10Speaker 3: high up anything out of him because.
- 49:16Speaker 2: He's played both ways so much.
- 49:18Speaker 1: He's what does he only missed six six plays.
- 49:21Speaker 2: I didn't see his place, I didn't see his plays
- 49:24Speaker 2: well the.
- 49:25Speaker 1: Game before he only missed three or four plays. Well,
- 49:27Speaker 1: they showed that when the game was coming on. Not
- 49:30Speaker 1: taking anything away from Travis Hunter, but also, you know,
- 49:33Speaker 1: don't act like a badass until the game is is
- 49:35Speaker 1: one and you're in the lead. How about that they
- 49:39Speaker 1: kept oh, they kept trying to flex. Every play they
- 49:42Speaker 1: were trying to flex, and Nebrassa is just looking at him, going, well.
- 49:45Speaker 2: One thing, and what you got and one thing after that?
- 49:47Speaker 2: One interception you know that sar threw was a touchdown
- 49:50Speaker 2: for the red shirt for the black Shirts.
- 49:52Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely so. Man, I went into this game expecting
- 49:58Speaker 1: a shootout. Actually I expected I expected high octane offenses
- 50:04Speaker 1: for both sides. I did not expect a defensive domination
- 50:10Speaker 1: from Nebraska. As an Oklahoma Sooner fan, I did not
- 50:14Speaker 1: expect a Nebraska defense.
- 50:16Speaker 2: To just building that team better. And they had actually
- 50:19Speaker 2: had one of OU's wide receiver commits up there for visits.
- 50:24Speaker 3: Well, hold on, here's the here's the fun thing.
- 50:26Speaker 2: By god Cortes.
- 50:27Speaker 1: Cortes. If yeah, Cortes, if you're seeing that, oh you need.
- 50:32Speaker 2: You no kidding, you can play immediately.
- 50:34Speaker 1: Yeah, You're you're gonna be starting straight out, I mean
- 50:40Speaker 1: straight out. Yeah. I watched a lot of gas. So, so, Kenny,
- 50:44Speaker 1: I'm gonna explain to you what I had going. I
- 50:46Speaker 1: had the television going, I had a computer going, and
- 50:51Speaker 1: I had my phone going. So I was watching because
- 50:56Speaker 1: Peacock had multiple games on. Paramount had games on UH,
- 51:01Speaker 1: ESPN Plus had games on it because I could I
- 51:03Speaker 1: could not watch with Dish Network. I could not watch
- 51:07Speaker 1: anything on ABC or their affiliates that that were being broadcast.
- 51:14Speaker 3: So but yeah, I watched a ton of games yesterday, and.
- 51:20Speaker 1: And I'm going to tell you Iowa Iowa Land laying
- 51:24Speaker 1: an egg against Iowa State.
- 51:26Speaker 2: That was date. They really they come out. I watched
- 51:30Speaker 2: the first half of that and then I watched the
- 51:32Speaker 2: fourth quarter. Iowa State really came out and played better football.
- 51:37Speaker 2: Third played better football, and then they got that one.
- 51:39Speaker 1: Well they did was score the score.
- 51:41Speaker 3: Two field goals, and they were like, hey, we won.
- 51:47Speaker 2: I thought it was a great win, especially being an
- 51:49Speaker 2: a rivalry win. So all right, anything else, uh talk
- 51:52Speaker 2: about this upcoming skit or this upcoming week for weeks.
- 51:57Speaker 1: It was another game that I was really surprised by
- 51:59Speaker 1: and forgot what it was. I didn't I just seen it.
- 52:09Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 52:10Speaker 1: Oh, Virginia, Virginia gets a win over Wake Forest thirty
- 52:12Speaker 1: one thirty. I didn't even see that.
- 52:14Speaker 2: I missed that game too.
- 52:15Speaker 1: Colorado State, it's northern Colorado. I don't know.
- 52:19Speaker 2: Okay, upcoming games this week obviously, we talked about Oklahoma
- 52:22Speaker 2: State Tulsa tou Lane. Oh you eleven o'clock for the
- 52:26Speaker 2: Tulsa game. Oh you, I think we are at he's
- 52:29Speaker 2: playing five.
- 52:31Speaker 3: Let's see playing Maine.
- 52:35Speaker 2: Not the main game. Not the main game. Positive, how
- 52:40Speaker 2: do you know it's too lane, too lane, No Maine,
- 52:46Speaker 2: it's way later down. We got that weird Yeah, we
- 52:49Speaker 2: got that weird middle So Tulane to thirty. For US
- 52:53Speaker 2: games that stand out.
- 52:55Speaker 1: Oh, I know what it was. It was the Alabama game.
- 52:57Speaker 1: And I know so so we have picked up a
- 52:59Speaker 1: lot of a lot of Alabama fans.
- 53:03Speaker 3: Uh, South Florida gave them a.
- 53:07Speaker 1: Lot of help. I watched that game. Oh yes, Alabama, Alabama, Alabama.
- 53:15Speaker 1: Alabama blew them out, but that was late, like they
- 53:19Speaker 1: got them tied forty two to sixteen.
- 53:21Speaker 2: So they scored twenty eight points in the twenty Yeah.
- 53:23Speaker 3: So watching that game, and I understand.
- 53:26Speaker 1: So what's funny is is oh you coming into the
- 53:29Speaker 1: SEC and and they've sent you the I've sent you
- 53:32Speaker 1: the the shorts of of the people that make fun
- 53:36Speaker 1: of the fan bases. Yes, yes, and us getting mad
- 53:43Speaker 1: at our quarterback and our our wide receivers and our
- 53:47Speaker 1: offensive blood and winning games is the same as Alabama.
- 53:52Speaker 1: They have gotten mad at Jalen Milroe and certain other things.
- 53:55Speaker 1: And so Alabama was was it at.
- 53:58Speaker 3: Fourteen to were thirteen there in the third quarter?
- 54:03Speaker 2: Yes, fourteen thirteen?
- 54:04Speaker 3: And I think they might have actually been down sixteen?
- 54:06Speaker 3: Were they not losing?
- 54:07Speaker 2: I don't know if I don't think they were down. No, no, no,
- 54:09Speaker 2: they weren't. They never were losing.
- 54:11Speaker 1: Well, I'm gonna look at the I swear that they
- 54:14Speaker 1: might have been down before they took off. And I
- 54:17Speaker 1: was watching that game and I was like, finally, where
- 54:21Speaker 1: have you? Where is Alabama? Bit?
- 54:22Speaker 3: Because I'm a closet Alabama fan.
- 54:25Speaker 1: Yes, we know this. You know I lived in the state,
- 54:29Speaker 1: so I've had what are we gonna be in a
- 54:31Speaker 1: closet Auburn fan?
- 54:33Speaker 2: It It was interesting because I'm watching the ticker on
- 54:37Speaker 2: that it's never moving, you know, until they run. It's
- 54:39Speaker 2: like boom, boom boom.
- 54:41Speaker 1: Yeah, they were all okay, okay, so it was thirteen fourteen,
- 54:43Speaker 1: and then it became thirteen twenty one, and then sixteen
- 54:47Speaker 1: twenty one.
- 54:47Speaker 3: That's what I was talking, and then it was sixteen
- 54:50Speaker 3: twenty big, right, it was it was it was all
- 54:53Speaker 3: the Alabama obits all and.
- 54:54Speaker 1: You can't and you look at it.
- 54:56Speaker 2: I mean those three touchdowns, three place seventy five yards,
- 54:58Speaker 2: two place sixty, you know, so it was Alabama.
- 55:01Speaker 1: Alabama fans are having heart attackses Ou fans are having
- 55:04Speaker 1: heart attacks the same way that Oregon fans are in
- 55:08Speaker 1: are in cardiac arrested, you know.
- 55:10Speaker 2: And that's looking at schedule for next week. You know,
- 55:12Speaker 2: that's the only who's the only who does who? There's nobody.
- 55:16Speaker 2: I mean, Wisconsin, that's not gonna.
- 55:19Speaker 1: Game, not really, it's gonna be a big game.
- 55:21Speaker 2: I think the biggest game it looks like. And that's
- 55:23Speaker 2: a seven PM game. That'll be the primetime game. I'm
- 55:25Speaker 2: gonna watch Arizona at Kansas State. That's it's going to
- 55:28Speaker 2: be a game that's ranked. And then the other ranked
- 55:30Speaker 2: the only other ranked matchup is uh number nine, Oh,
- 55:34Speaker 2: I'm sorry, number six, Missouri Boston College comes to town.
- 55:38Speaker 2: They're ranked. I forget after that one but I don't
- 55:41Speaker 2: believe in that.
- 55:41Speaker 3: I'm gonna be I'm gonna be very interested.
- 55:43Speaker 1: I'm gonna be very interested in the Alabama now.
- 55:45Speaker 2: L s U at South Carolina is interesting because Kentucky.
- 55:50Speaker 2: That surprised me.
- 55:51Speaker 3: You didn't see them at all.
- 55:53Speaker 2: I didn't. I watched some of the game, but just
- 55:55Speaker 2: beating them down like that was, uh, was surprising. I
- 55:58Speaker 2: forgot to talk about that.
- 56:00Speaker 1: Vanderb Vandergrift. I can understand why he's not on either
- 56:04Speaker 1: team right now. He did not any of the three teams.
- 56:08Speaker 2: He did not.
- 56:09Speaker 3: Oh my god.
- 56:10Speaker 1: The Steep's brothers were angry and it was. It was
- 56:14Speaker 1: a ship show from the beginning. That game was a
- 56:18Speaker 1: ship show from the beginning. And I'm a Cocks fan.
- 56:20Speaker 1: I will I'm not gonna I'm never gonna lie about that.
- 56:22Speaker 1: I'm a Talks fan. All right.
- 56:24Speaker 2: Well, and that's like I said, those are the two games.
- 56:25Speaker 2: So next week's kind of just not real.
- 56:28Speaker 1: Oh no, I'm gonna I'm gonna be watching this Alabama
- 56:31Speaker 1: Wisconsin game. It's gonna be a really good I don't know.
- 56:34Speaker 2: I don't think Wisconsin's back. I've watched them, I've watched them.
- 56:39Speaker 3: Wisconsin has a really good defense.
- 56:42Speaker 1: They don't have the offense. So that's what that's what
- 56:46Speaker 1: the that's what the gameplay is gonna be. Okay, so
- 56:49Speaker 1: that's what I'm looking like.
- 56:51Speaker 2: I said to me, I think there's a few good games,
- 56:54Speaker 2: but it's not gonna be the big weekend it was
- 56:55Speaker 2: this week. I just I watched so much that college
- 56:58Speaker 2: football was it was packed this weekend. A good game.
- 57:00Speaker 1: I watched so much football that my head hurts. I
- 57:04Speaker 1: just like I said, I had a computer, a phone,
- 57:07Speaker 1: and a television going all right, anything and I need
- 57:11Speaker 1: well I need I need a B C S m
- 57:13Speaker 1: U getting b by b Yu.
- 57:15Speaker 2: Yeah, that surprised me too, and I forgot about that
- 57:17Speaker 2: because wasn't that like a Friday game.
- 57:19Speaker 1: It was a Friday game. It was a Friday game
- 57:22Speaker 1: that we yeah, that we just kind of glossed over.
- 57:28Speaker 1: So you know, there's a random win that we did
- 57:29Speaker 1: not have b YU winning. Okay on that, Uh, who
- 57:36Speaker 1: does Texas have next week?
- 57:39Speaker 2: Nobody really hard. Texas looks really good, though I hate
- 57:43Speaker 2: to say it now, I know Michigan is not in
- 57:45Speaker 2: near as good. And we said that they when when
- 57:48Speaker 2: we all.
- 57:48Speaker 3: Saw yeah we did, we did but we also know
- 57:50Speaker 3: that the O U T.
- 57:51Speaker 1: S A.
- 57:52Speaker 2: And we also know that you know they got killed
- 57:55Speaker 2: by Texas State.
- 57:57Speaker 1: But we all know that whenever it comes to you Texas,
- 58:01Speaker 1: that everything's out the door. As bad as you think
- 58:04Speaker 1: your team is, as good as you think your team is, Yeah,
- 58:09Speaker 1: that's out the door.
- 58:10Speaker 3: It's just like Bama, Auburn, Georgia.
- 58:16Speaker 2: I don't know, do they're real like big Florida Florida?
- 58:22Speaker 2: Is that the Florida.
- 58:25Speaker 1: Georgia use me Georgia tag? But then that kind of
- 58:28Speaker 1: fell off. It could happen this this year. I know
- 58:32Speaker 1: they do the iron bowling all it. Auburn may take
- 58:35Speaker 1: them out as well. But uh yeah, ladies and gentlemen,
- 58:41Speaker 1: we're gonna look at you probably only being eight wins,
- 58:46Speaker 1: nine wins. If we cannot fix, we cannot fix. And yes,
- 58:52Speaker 1: you're wearing our color.
- 58:54Speaker 2: Tennessee is not going to be an easy game. Our
- 58:57Speaker 2: defense is.
- 58:58Speaker 1: Nothing's an easy game at this point. And then from
- 59:00Speaker 1: this point on, everything's out of the door.
- 59:03Speaker 2: And all right, all right, let's move on. Just quick
- 59:09Speaker 2: baseball talk. Currently, White Sox one again, Yankees, Baltimore Yankees,
- 59:15Speaker 2: Yankees and Baltimore they're Obviously.
- 59:18Speaker 3: The standings we're going into September.
- 59:20Speaker 2: The Orioles are half a game behind, Guardians are two
- 59:25Speaker 2: and a half games up on the Rolls Roll Sweat.
- 59:28Speaker 1: If you're wondering about the NFL seventeen thirteen lines, we're.
- 59:32Speaker 2: Getting ready to finish up and watch that. So Royals
- 59:34Speaker 2: or Guardians two and a half games ahead of the
- 59:37Speaker 2: Roles that are kind of made a comeback again. Astros
- 59:39Speaker 2: to four and a half up on the Mariners. Over
- 59:41Speaker 2: on the NL side, Phillies big lead over the Mets.
- 59:45Speaker 2: Mets have kind of come around though in the last
- 59:48Speaker 2: month they've actually been playing.
- 59:49Speaker 1: The Mets were never gone, they just they had at
- 59:52Speaker 1: the beginning.
- 59:53Speaker 2: They started off really bad. Cubs, Phillies nine games back
- 59:58Speaker 2: over the Brewers, and then you you've got the Nationally
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: West is full of good teams.
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: What are we looking at?
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: Dodgers, Potterys and Diamondbacks all right.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: There, So we're looking for wild card right now. It's Baltimore,
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: Kansas City, and Minnesota correct for the AL.
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: And in the n L we've got Santiago.
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: Arizona, which, like I just said that nationally West is good.
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: And then the Mets and.
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: The Mets are close. Hey, now one thing, yeah, the
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: one thing I want to talk about, how far are
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: the actual the Tigers away. The Tigers have had a
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: really good last month. Yeah. See they're three and a
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: half out where they were dead in the water, you know,
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: two months ago, and they've kind of turned.
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: Well, they had a stint with they've kind of turned
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: it on. They had a good stint with the website anyway.
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: But the Roles did beat the Twins this week.
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: Yeah, fun fact, what is it?
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: What was it? The the al Central there there? What
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: thirty eight games behind five hundred? Yes, yeah, they have
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: four teams that are over five hundred.
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: Yes, yes, so White Sox maybe.
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: Woo so they how many games that got left? I
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: think we were looking that up.
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: Yeah, we looked at that to see, like I said,
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: we won.
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: It's uh so they've played one hundred and forty four games,
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: so that means they've got said fifty four, that's ten
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: twenty eighteen games left pretty much pretty much in the
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: eighteen games. And what was the worst record one hundred?
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: What was the worst losses?
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: Oh, well, the the Cleveland Spiders. But we're talking, Yeah,
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: you took a Detroit having Detroit Tigers. I think they
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: had one hundred and twenty two, one hundred and twenty one.
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: Not player.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: I don't know what. I don't know what he's looking at.
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: Why would you be that I looked at the worst player?
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: It's like, how do you determine it for the worst
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: team in the MLB. Yes, and it is an our
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: our generation, in our modern history. Here for one hundred
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: and sixty.
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: Let's us Philadelphia analytics is I would say, Detroit Tigers,
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: we're gonna go with this one nineteen. Well the Mats no, okay,
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: well we could do that, but I was gonna say,
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: you want to really go the nineteen? Yeah?
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: There, yeah, you really want to go?
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: You want to go? More modern?
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: It is?
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: It is the Detroit Tigers one nineteen. But yes, we
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: cannot touch the Cleveland Spiders, Yes, because they are one
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: hundred and thirty or something like this. Yeah, okay, so
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: there's your baseball news. Gosh, it's going to be just
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: about three weeks to two weeks.
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: No, we are almost into the October, so we'll be
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: starting playoff. It was the he seventeen fourteen Lions have
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: the ball to their own twenty five second fifteen eleven
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: fifty two left in the fourth. So you think Blake
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: gotting any anything else to chat?
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: Yeah, Blake, orm you think he's gotten any Why don't
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: you put the rookie and rookie running back in just
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: to give him? Just give me a couple, just give him.
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: You looking at the stats for that game.
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: I'm trying. I'm trying, but it's not clicking it.
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: Uh rushing.
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: Oh look, Cooper Cup and pookin Dakua have rushing, but
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: not the damn rookie that you should be running.
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: They said in that broadcast. He was not quite ready
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: for He didn't have all the as far as protection
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: packages and stuff like that. So I think they were
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: just gonna give him one more time.
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: But then, why the hell did I start him?
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: Looks like I don't know, looks like everybody, uh fucked.
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: You've got you've got McCaffrey tomorrow in my butt, and
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: you've got a right the juice eight points. You know what.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: I'm gonna get it from the doctor and I'm gonna
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: get it from Claire.
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: George kind of has taken a lead over Preston on
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: our fantasy. That's interesting, Oh, Jamie Wills, he started tonight
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: nineteen points for him. Wow, that's good. That wide receiver
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: I like for Detroit. He's good. I mean, he's a
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: good youngster. Adam last year. So all right, anything else,
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: but always lose. All right, we'll talk to you guys
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: next week. We've got so we'll get what.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: Do we do it next week? Let's do uh, don't
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: say Thursday Friday.
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: Okay, we can't.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: Thursday's a no go because I've got the I'm gonna have. Well,
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: we need to do it. There's gonna be a doctor
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: in Saturday. Friday.
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: You go back to work. Sunday.
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: Now Saturday, Yeah, I go back to work. We have
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: to do Saturday. We'll do s Wednesday, Saturday.
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: We'll do it before the game. We'll do a preview
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: before though.
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: Are you gonna be offering?
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll be done before then. I'll be done early. Yeah.
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: And it's kind of it, he says.
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: And it's just teasing my emotions.
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: But like I said, it's not a big football emotion.
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: It's not a big football schedules two thirty. We'll get
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: it done. We'll see, we'll see y'all next week. We'll
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: actually alleg we will approve. We will have that preview
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: right before the game. We'll give you the breakdown all right.
