- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, guys, here we are our last break of
- 0:02Speaker 1: the day.
- 0:03Speaker 2: You ready, Yeah, just thinking of a couple of things.
- 0:14Speaker 2: I've been watching a lot of people who you know,
- 0:23Speaker 2: on the news and stuff like this, who seem that
- 0:30Speaker 2: that that are in such despair, you know, and I've listened.
- 0:35Speaker 2: I was watching somebody online the other day talking about
- 0:39Speaker 2: how hopeless their life seemed to them.
- 0:44Speaker 3: I want to offer.
- 0:47Speaker 2: People something to think about. Be very very conscious of
- 0:57Speaker 2: the word hopeless, you know, be very very conscious of
- 1:05Speaker 2: feeling hopeless, because it can happen if you're not careful.
- 1:15Speaker 2: And I've had to end my life on several times.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Become very acutely aware of this trick that the devil uses.
- 1:26Speaker 2: And if the devil can get you to feel like
- 1:29Speaker 2: it's hopeless, oh man, he's got you. He's got you
- 1:34Speaker 2: right where he wants you. I remember several times, man,
- 1:38Speaker 2: when I was homeless, man, when I just didn't see
- 1:44Speaker 2: this career going the way I wanted it to go.
- 1:47Speaker 2: I was just in some dark places, man. You know, look, man,
- 1:52Speaker 2: when you don't have a house to go to at
- 1:54Speaker 2: the end of the day, it's it's it's a it's
- 1:57Speaker 2: a it's a it's a debilitating thought heatedly to go wow,
- 2:02Speaker 2: to not be able to say I'm going home, because
- 2:05Speaker 2: you know, I mean, no.
- 2:06Speaker 3: Matter how rough a day you have, if you have the.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Comfort to say, man, well skip all this, I'm going home,
- 2:14Speaker 2: and you can turn that key and get into this
- 2:16Speaker 2: place that you stay as no matter what it looks
- 2:19Speaker 2: like or how small or how big, it's your home.
- 2:23Speaker 2: If you can turn that key and go in there
- 2:24Speaker 2: and shut that door and lock out them troubles for
- 2:26Speaker 2: a minute, it gives you a moment to regroup yourself.
- 2:29Speaker 2: So not having the comfort of saying I'm going home
- 2:35Speaker 2: was rough on me at times, and it was times
- 2:38Speaker 2: where the devil would get into my mind and say, man,
- 2:43Speaker 2: it ain't no way out of this. You just homeless.
- 2:48Speaker 2: You not getting these gigs. Ain't nobody calling you all this?
- 2:54Speaker 2: You want to be on TV, you want to be
- 2:56Speaker 2: a star. Eve, this is hopeless. I had to catch
- 3:05Speaker 2: myself because hope is a very important thing to cling
- 3:11Speaker 2: on to, because sometimes you only have hope to cling
- 3:16Speaker 2: on to, and.
- 3:17Speaker 3: You've got to keep hope alive.
- 3:20Speaker 2: I remember when Jesse Jackson used to say it, keep
- 3:22Speaker 2: hope alive, Keep hope alive.
- 3:25Speaker 3: People don't know how really important that is.
- 3:27Speaker 2: To keep hope alive, not faith, not belief, not being
- 3:34Speaker 2: factual that I.
- 3:35Speaker 3: Know this is gonna happen.
- 3:37Speaker 2: But if you can just say the mere words, man,
- 3:41Speaker 2: I hope I be okay. Man, I hope this workout.
- 3:46Speaker 2: I hope God hear me. I hope I get a break.
- 3:52Speaker 2: I hope this don't last too much longer. Just say hope.
- 3:57Speaker 3: Just say it. I'm telling you, man, clinging on to
- 4:01Speaker 3: that word hope.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Hope is the beginning of faith, because, like I say
- 4:06Speaker 2: all the time, sometimes I used to hope I got
- 4:09Speaker 2: a bike for Christmas.
- 4:10Speaker 3: I used to hope I would get a toy.
- 4:12Speaker 2: I used to hope you know that I graduated, I
- 4:17Speaker 2: hope I get a job one day. Well, eventually, as
- 4:20Speaker 2: I got older, all that hope and I used to do,
- 4:23Speaker 2: eventually I learned how wow, this is really faith. Faith
- 4:29Speaker 2: is a belief in things that you cannot see. But
- 4:31Speaker 2: it begins with hope, because when you're young, it's just hope.
- 4:37Speaker 2: I hope Santa Claus bring me this. I hope I
- 4:40Speaker 2: get a bike. Man, I hope I get that doll house.
- 4:44Speaker 2: I hope I get.
- 4:44Speaker 3: That oven this year. I hope.
- 4:48Speaker 2: I hope he asked me out, I hope she say yes.
- 4:52Speaker 2: I hope she'll be my Valentine. I used to hope
- 4:55Speaker 2: for so many things, man, But as I got older,
- 4:59Speaker 2: I understand to that hope was just the pure essence.
- 5:04Speaker 2: There's a scripture, man, I wish I could think of
- 5:06Speaker 2: it right now. Faith is the substance of things hope
- 5:10Speaker 2: for it. That's it, and the evidence of things not seen.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Faith is the substance of things hope for. That's why
- 5:22Speaker 2: you got to keep saying I hope, even if you
- 5:24Speaker 2: ain't strong enough to believe hope.
- 5:29Speaker 3: It's the substance of faith.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Because faith is the substance of things hope for. You
- 5:36Speaker 2: can't have faith without first hoping, I hope this happened.
- 5:41Speaker 3: Well.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Faith is a belief in things that you cannot see.
- 5:43Speaker 2: So what are you hoping it to? What are you
- 5:45Speaker 2: thinkings that you cannot see something you hope for? You
- 5:48Speaker 2: got to keep hope alive, y'all. When you feel like
- 5:51Speaker 2: you ain't gonna make it, just keep saying our hope, Lord,
- 5:55Speaker 2: I hope God, I hope Lord, Please, I hope, and
- 6:00Speaker 2: telling you he'll come to you, He'll come to you.
- 6:03Speaker 2: And faith is the substance of things hope, for hope
- 6:07Speaker 2: turns into faith if you just keep saying it. Keep
- 6:11Speaker 2: hope alive, y'all, Always just keep.
- 6:13Speaker 3: Saying you hope.
- 6:15Speaker 2: That's the beginning of things happening and changing in your life.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Those are my closing remarks. And they'll hope they did
- 6:20Speaker 2: something for somebody. Hey, listen, y'all, talk to God.
