- 0:00Hey, this is Derek Rivieran from Megadeth and you're listening to
- 0:02Ghost Coke Mag com. What's up everybody, it's Kifi
- 0:43and you're listening to another Ghost Cult Magazine podcast and
- 0:46I am super stoked to be joined by Peter Rano of K Anashi.
- 0:49How are you doing today, man? Hey.
- 0:51I'm doing good. Thank you for doing this with
- 0:52me. Once again, thank you, man.
- 0:54This is a pleasure. And like I said, we've got a lot
- 0:57of roots in the underground and a lot of hardcore heads that
- 1:00follow us still from all our coverage.
- 1:02And I'm so pumped to get a band out of the scene that's really
- 1:06making moves and doing things. I want to Go Home is the new
- 1:09album coming out in early June on the amazing Equal Vision
- 1:13Records. I can't believe they're still
- 1:15doing the damn thing. I used to buy their tapes and
- 1:18compilation CDs at fests and things and their St. team was
- 1:22legendary in the Northeast when when I live there.
- 1:25I'm in California now. But first and foremost, man,
- 1:28thank you. Super looking forward to this
- 1:30new record. And just for our listeners, you
- 1:33know, like I always wonder if you know, you obviously like
- 1:36half the time you play for people who know you and half the
- 1:39time you're playing in front of new crowds for people who don't
- 1:42know the band or familiar with the band.
- 1:45What do you where do you start as a frame of reference to
- 1:48explain to people your music? Very first thing that came to
- 1:54mind was Dillinger Escape Plan. I was trying to think of a more
- 1:58general, easier way to understand it, but that was the
- 2:02very first thing that came mind. There's such a huge band for
- 2:07like, extreme music, you know what I mean?
- 2:09That they reached such a bigger audience.
- 2:12I would think a lot of people know them.
- 2:14But for someone that's like brand new, like no point of
- 2:18reference, I'd say we're just say we're a metal band.
- 2:22I used to say post hardcore, math core, metal core, because
- 2:28we cover so many different things.
- 2:29Hardcore. I'll just say we're a metal
- 2:32band. Right on.
- 2:33I love that and say like and like not.
- 2:35To be too general, you know, But it's like, I think it because it
- 2:39is all composing, but it's saying like we're a metal band
- 2:42that makes very emotional, intense, personal music.
- 2:47Right on. I'm so glad you said Dillinger.
- 2:49I'm a huge Dillinger fan all eras and I getting to see them
- 2:54again come back. We we covered the no values fest
- 2:58in Pomona, CA last June. I don't think it's coming back
- 3:01this year or if it is, it's coming back at a different time
- 3:04because it's certainly not happening next month.
- 3:05But to watch like 50,000 people be like, what the fuck is this?
- 3:11To like Dimitri and and Ben and them was just like, yeah,
- 3:16because like they really first of all, like it was not their
- 3:19crowd. It was like a crowd there to see
- 3:20Misfits and and Social D, but there were heads in the place.
- 3:23But it was amazing to see people just like going off and
- 3:26discovering them for the first time.
- 3:28And that's one of my favorite things usually about festivals.
- 3:30I try to go to festivals that are not always metal and
- 3:33hardcore because I want to learn about new bands.
- 3:36And yeah, I definitely did the math core thing.
- 3:38I felt like you guys, you know, evolved out of the hardcore
- 3:41scene. I always, I also think about
- 3:43like very extreme bands like Car Bomb that also, you know,
- 3:47probably started liking hardcore and then just became like weird
- 3:51musician magicians, you know, like they became magical somehow
- 3:55and made like crazy avant-garde. Music.
- 3:58Insane music. But I do love that, you know,
- 4:00emotional is totally the key of everything.
- 4:02And I think that has to do, you know, not just musically, but
- 4:04with you and your performance in your lyrics.
- 4:06So I wanted to kind of, you know, first of all, we live in a
- 4:09crazy. This is just the craziest
- 4:11timeline ever. So first of all, I hope you're
- 4:13OK and the band is OK and you're, you know, your people
- 4:16and your familiars and your families.
- 4:17Oh yeah. It's just such a crazy every day
- 4:20I wake up and I'm like what the fuck is this life and why are we
- 4:23still here? Dude, me too.
- 4:26I mean, just so disappointing and crazy and also, but also
- 4:29wonderful. There's a lot of good things.
- 4:31I try not to get to sad but yeah, like.
- 4:33I heard. You wear your life experiences
- 4:36like in your songs and on your in your voice and on your
- 4:38sleeve. So, you know, for I want to go
- 4:40home, you know, you know, obviously, you know, looking to
- 4:44make like your mark with this record in 2025.
- 4:47But was there anything in the last couple of years that kind
- 4:49of, you know, kind of created the path lyrically for you or
- 4:53emotionally to kind of guide this record?
- 4:55Because I don't think it's a concept record per SE.
- 4:57I know there's kind of a suite that closes the end, but I
- 5:00wanted to kind of ask like sort of where where your headspace
- 5:03was that when you first started making this record and writing
- 5:05these songs? Yeah, it is a concept record.
- 5:08We're like such essentially a concept being right now, Like
- 5:12we've been working on this concept for nine years.
- 5:15It started with our EP Why'd You Do It in 2018, And we've been
- 5:22just building upon that same world and that same story since
- 5:25then. And this is like the conclusion
- 5:29of that story. Every equal vision record that
- 5:31we've put out has been within the same concept.
- 5:35Dear, I'm in house in 2021. That was senior year, Three
- 5:38faces that we put out in I don't even remember what year that one
- 5:44was junior. Then a Second Chance of Forever
- 5:47was sophomore and I Want to Go Home is freshman year.
- 5:51All of the same story if you look at the artwork of them all,
- 5:54all taken from the same situation, different angles of
- 5:57it and going into making the latest record.
- 6:00I want to go home. Honestly, it was very stressful.
- 6:04It was a stressful time in general, just like with life.
- 6:08And I think it really showed in my music, you know what I mean?
- 6:12I didn't necessarily feel like, am I going to be able to make
- 6:16something like not stressing that way, you know, just I need
- 6:21to make, I know how to write a song, but I don't just want to
- 6:24write a good song. I want to write a great song,
- 6:26you know what I mean? That was the stress.
- 6:28That was the thought process going into it.
- 6:31I've done this process over and over again, but how do I make
- 6:34this time different and how do I evolve and grow?
- 6:37And I really think that we did on this record.
- 6:39We did things. I did things differently that
- 6:42I've never done before. We've been going to the same
- 6:45producer writing, you know, the same story since 2018.
- 6:51So I didn't want to become, you know, I had to do it
- 6:54differently. And I really feel like we did
- 6:56this time around. Absolutely.
- 6:58And I know that it's very, again, you know, music
- 7:01journalists, we have lizard brains.
- 7:02So, you know, we read these things all the time.
- 7:05This is the best record I've ever done.
- 7:06But I do feel the progression, the progression.
- 7:09I feel the progression. And you should be, you should be
- 7:12comfortable saying like, oh, you know, we tried to push our
- 7:15boundaries. I know it starts to sound like
- 7:18you know, you know, It starts to sound like, you know, a typical
- 7:22script, but like you know. Right.
- 7:24It's like, Oh well, of course you did.
- 7:26You tried to better the second time.
- 7:28It's like, well, anyone's going to do that, But it's not like I
- 7:31just came out of left field. It's like a, you know what I
- 7:34mean, oboe or something. It's not like I just was like, I
- 7:37know how to write a chorus. I know how to write a verse, but
- 7:40it's just doing it the best that I've ever done it.
- 7:43You know what I mean? And I I just, I feel it.
- 7:47I feel it this time around. I like listen and I'm just like
- 7:51having perspective and having age and just doing it, but
- 7:57feeling more prepared. It's like, how could it be the
- 8:00same? I'm not the same person, you
- 8:01know what I mean? And the experience of playing
- 8:05the songs, trying to win people over, trying to prove that
- 8:10you're worth listening to. And then going back to those
- 8:13places and seeing the people that stuck around that believed
- 8:17you, that were like, you know what, this is good.
- 8:20I do want to be a part of this, seeing that that process only
- 8:23comes with time and age and experience.
- 8:26Where we play Orlando, FL now or something.
- 8:29We play Dallas, TX now and I see people from a Hill of Sun tour.
- 8:35I see people from a Boundaries tour.
- 8:37I see people from all over the place, you know, and it's like a
- 8:42fine wine, you know what I mean? Just you develop that sort of
- 8:45characteristic, that depth to your band just with with age and
- 8:49time. And I think having that in mind,
- 8:52playing or writing, having that in mind while writing made the
- 8:57product come out different and better.
- 8:59Word, I love hearing that. And you know, you mentioned
- 9:01before about you like, you know how to write a chorus.
- 9:03You absolutely do because I'll say that when I heard a single
- 9:07when I say I was like, oh, this leveled up a lot.
- 9:11Like great hooky chorus, same trademark sound, not too out of
- 9:15left field, but you know, like, because even the most brutal and
- 9:19gnarly thing can be hooky. There can be a hook and
- 9:21everything, right? You don't understand that.
- 9:23And I think that's what you guys are doing on this record.
- 9:26And I think extra prayers and when I say and and a couple of
- 9:30other tracks, lower forms of suicide also have like they
- 9:33catch you, whether it's a melody or whether it's a line, like
- 9:36phrasing. And I think that you clearly
- 9:39stepped up on those areas. Thank you.
- 9:41Yeah, it was a conscious effort because I don't know, cool to
- 9:46write like just music, to write crazy things, just part after
- 9:51part. But I'm trying to write songs,
- 9:54you know what I mean? I'm trying to write like
- 9:57cohesive things and having the story so concrete, so factual at
- 10:03this point because before it was so free form, it was I was
- 10:06starting something and I'm finishing something now.
- 10:08So there's there's facts that need to be covered.
- 10:12You know what I mean? Things that need to be brought
- 10:14full circle. I just I feel like I have more
- 10:16of a foundation with writing this.
- 10:19Right on. I love it.
- 10:19I also love these complex titles.
- 10:21In some cases, you know, it just kind of tickles the writer in me
- 10:26as a former band dude that is just starting to make music
- 10:29again myself. And I'm getting into that pen to
- 10:31paper area and I'm like, man, I love these titles.
- 10:33It's almost like chapters of a book.
- 10:35And it also reminded me a lot of like some of my earlier
- 10:38influences being from New York City, like Kandaria and stuff
- 10:41like that. They used to have these obtuse
- 10:44like titles and lyrics. So I obviously you're telling a
- 10:47story. He said it's a concept record
- 10:49and following the concept of the band, but also the same thing
- 10:51without revealing too much, if you if you wanted to share sort
- 10:55of the, this is the final chapter of the last bunch of
- 10:58chapters, right? This is the final the, the, the
- 11:013rd chapter of Lord of the Rings, you know, return the
- 11:03gesture sort of what you know, if you wanted to give somebody
- 11:06like an overarching guide, obviously go back.
- 11:09I can listen to the others. But now you have this and we're
- 11:12starting with confusion in the car crash all the way up 13
- 11:14tracks, no filler, all killer. You know, what would you tell
- 11:18somebody like here's how do you begin this journey to listen?
- 11:21Yeah, You know, honestly, I feel like you should start with this
- 11:26album, not as a selling point, but start with this album and go
- 11:31back in order. Go this album, then a second
- 11:35chance of forever, then three faces then dear Lemon house,
- 11:42which is basically just the order that we've been releasing
- 11:45these equal vision records because it's like 1234 you know
- 11:50because it's freshman 2 senior year.
- 11:53I want to go home the eyes kind of supposed to be one a second
- 11:57chance of forever. You know what I'm saying 3
- 12:00phases of beauty. So that's that's how I would say
- 12:03start with that and really just not to reveal the entire story,
- 12:08but this current the I want to go home.
- 12:12It's about the character Taylor Oxford, who transfers from New
- 12:18Jersey to Philadelphia and goes to this school.
- 12:22And you just kind of see how the things that happened between
- 12:26Taylor and the school counselor, who's played by me, the things
- 12:30that happened between Taylor and the school counselor, they, they
- 12:33kind of set the scene for the rest of the story.
- 12:35This whole time, Taylor's kind of been the side character, you
- 12:39know, the background character. But you kind of see listening to
- 12:43this that Taylor's been at the beginning of it all along or the
- 12:46center of it all along. That is so hard trying not to
- 12:49say. Yeah, yeah, of course not.
- 12:52Listen, like, you know, you're also like guarding.
- 12:54But what is it? Yeah, what is it?
- 12:56But no, it's, I appreciate you. Thank you for unpacking it just
- 13:00a tiny bit. That has opened up so many more
- 13:03things in my mind. Did you ever have a school
- 13:05counselor that made an impact on you?
- 13:07Because that's now I'm hearing it back in the back of my brain,
- 13:10like now, because I just listened to all this stuff
- 13:12before today, right? Not just the new record, but I
- 13:14go back and I, I try to do my homework before I talk to
- 13:17somebody, especially for the first time.
- 13:19And now I'm like, oh man, now I need to go back and listen with
- 13:21new ears because you just told me some new information.
- 13:24And I hope that our listeners of the podcast will do that too.
- 13:27But did you have kind of like an impactful experience in school
- 13:30where someone helps you or guided you or misguided you
- 13:33maybe? Yes, misguided.
- 13:36Honestly, I just really had overall negative school
- 13:40experience. Like, I can't think of anything
- 13:44good that came from it besides listening to Like Metal, but
- 13:47just taking all that negativity and kind of contextualizing it.
- 13:53It's like therapeutic for me and for the people that have been
- 13:57listening to our band. You know, I just made characters
- 14:01out of these things that happened to me.
- 14:03And I'd like it's, it's my experiences.
- 14:08It is rooted in like nonfiction. But I do take from other people,
- 14:14you know, I've me and Payo. It's really comes from me and
- 14:18Payo, but I've taken from other members, you know, experiences
- 14:23and lives and friends. You know, it's not just a
- 14:28autobiography of just me, me, me.
- 14:30It's trying to make something that's universal, that's
- 14:33relatable and really for a cautionary tale.
- 14:37Right on. I want to say also just in an
- 14:39era where everything is just very ephemeral and fast and
- 14:43records are records and EPS are kind of blurring the line how
- 14:46short they can be. I love that you, your band is
- 14:49not afraid musically to just stretch out and make a thing a
- 14:52full song and let a thing live. And there are some longer tracks
- 14:56on here that are actually some of my more favorite ones.
- 14:58So I like that y'all are very adventurous and willing to give
- 15:02yourself a chance to develop an idea and not just like, oh, you
- 15:05know what? Every song's got to be a minute
- 15:07and a half. You know, we all like, everybody
- 15:09likes Francore. I don't know anyone about it,
- 15:11but I guess it's not. Yeah, it's incredible, but it's
- 15:13also not, you know, if you want to have a pretty telling, you
- 15:17need a sometimes a longer song. Yeah.
- 15:19We, I mean, that's just kind of the nature of our band in
- 15:22general. It's not, it's boutique, you
- 15:25know what I mean? It's not a disposable and it's
- 15:28not fast food. It's just trying to tell this
- 15:31story. I need more, you know what I
- 15:34mean, than 4 minutes. I need more than just a
- 15:37breakdown. Like there's moods and there's
- 15:40dynamics you already understand It's there's more to it than
- 15:44that. Right on.
- 15:45I also want to shout out, like I said, the ending of the record
- 15:48has this epic. I'll call it an epic, sweets
- 15:51about 20 plus minutes and I love the title without giving away
- 15:55anything. I'm not going to ask you to give
- 15:57away anything else, but I will just say like the sanguine is
- 16:00one of my favorite words ever. And it's basically means, you
- 16:02know, happiness and peace after a time of tumult is a is a fancy
- 16:06way of saying it like I'm I'm a piece after struggling, which,
- 16:09you know, we can all relate to. So I think people are going to
- 16:12be you listen to this entire record, But I think that ending
- 16:15of the record is going to just wallop some sensitive people.
- 16:19So trigger warning, if you're like me, any guys, gals and
- 16:24datums, you might hit you pretty strong when you hear it because
- 16:27I'm sure it was you know his experience for you to write it.
- 16:30Yeah, I mean, trying to already, just looking at it as an album,
- 16:35just on a bass level. It's like albums when it ends,
- 16:39you know what I mean? On an intense note.
- 16:42But this is an album about this character and this situation.
- 16:47It has to end tragically. Just you listen to it and it's
- 16:52heartbreaking. I don't know why albums always
- 16:55have to end sadly to me like that.
- 16:58But I guess is what I always took for music was just the
- 17:01therapeutic aspect of it, how good it felt to hear a sad song
- 17:05and relate to it. I never thought about that.
- 17:07I just always feel like the last song got to be the saddest.
- 17:10Thing ever, you know, it's just, I think it's part of nature.
- 17:13It's part of human nature. It's the same thing with the
- 17:15movie, you know, the climax of a movie movie and then the ending.
- 17:19We all, we all, I think we love those things.
- 17:22And I don't know. What was some of your
- 17:25therapeutic inspirational music growing up?
- 17:27What were your favorite? Bands, I mean, a huge 1 was
- 17:31Coheed in Cambria. We let it be known how much we
- 17:34love that band. Everyone in Kalahashi, that was
- 17:38a big one, really my top five. It's like Coheed, The Fall of
- 17:42Troy, Deftones, and even like a lot of rap, you know what I
- 17:47mean? I would listen to a lot of Jay-Z
- 17:50and I think of a deep cut one. Like it really got me a lot like
- 17:55Birds when I was younger, like 2011.
- 17:58I mean, their album conversation piece honestly learned a lot
- 18:01about how to write lyrics from that band.
- 18:05Fear Before that was a gigantic one for me.
- 18:07You can see this equal vision kind of colored, but Fear before
- 18:11just had a different feeling or it's very like atmospheric and
- 18:16sad, you know, where something else would be like pouring your
- 18:19heart out, belting, crying, you know what I mean?
- 18:22Like romantic almost. Fear Before just had this very
- 18:25introspective feeling and that was I was like, wow, I don't
- 18:30even know music feel this way, you know?
- 18:34Yeah, those are some of them. Coheed Deftones Father Troy Fear
- 18:38Before. Big Deftones fan here, waiting
- 18:42waiting. Patiently while sending.
- 18:43Deftones and should be a new record announced soon.
- 18:46I'm. I'm just like waiting, waiting,
- 18:47waiting. Yeah.
- 18:48And again, anybody out there in a band?
- 18:50I've said this story a few times.
- 18:52A band that I saw barely able to draw 100 people in 1995.
- 18:57Then I saw the where the Warriors play basketball a
- 19:00couple of months ago, like a month and 1/2 like 2019 thousand
- 19:04people almost sold out. And then they sold out another
- 19:06arena up by SAC by Sacramento in their hometown.
- 19:09So like literally 2 shows in 100 mile radius with 40,000 people.
- 19:14Good luck, you know, bless them and and all that.
- 19:17Just just the last couple of questions for you man, you've
- 19:19been phenomenal. I'm working with Piantini,
- 19:22Torbio and Anthony Green. What was that like getting them
- 19:25to work on your record? It was awesome.
- 19:28Like the Anthony Green one came first and it was so just
- 19:33unexpected. It's like I just needed some
- 19:35inspiration while I was in the studio.
- 19:37And I called Anthony because I had met him on the Kohi cruise
- 19:40and he was just so cool. Yeah, I mean, like, I, I don't
- 19:45even think he realized how much I loved like, or I love his band
- 19:48and the music that he's made. And I just had his number.
- 19:51I was like, you know what? I'm just going to call, just
- 19:53going to call Anthony Green just to ask questions, Jeremy.
- 19:56And we had a great conversation and I just shot the shot.
- 20:00I was like, you know, what If just what if I was like, hey,
- 20:04would you like to be on a song? As if I didn't have the exact
- 20:08part figured out already. We'd like to be on a song.
- 20:11And he was like, yeah. Just so immediately, yes.
- 20:15And it was, I just couldn't wait to tell the guys because they
- 20:18were out. I think they went to like the
- 20:20grocery store or something. I couldn't wait for them to get
- 20:21back to the studio just to give them the news.
- 20:23And then with Pantini, it was like, we had this part, but we
- 20:29just wanted to make it better, you know what I mean?
- 20:31We just wanted to like improve on it and we were going to have
- 20:34our friends in Zeta be on it, shout out Zeta and they couldn't
- 20:38do it. And it was pales idea.
- 20:41He just like like, wait, what if we got shampoo on this and it
- 20:48just made so much more sense And I was like, yo, his style, his
- 20:52writing and his delivery is just going to take it to a different
- 20:56level. And it was I think it was like
- 20:59days notice as a heck, can you be on this record?
- 21:02We will bring you to Philly and get you back home.
- 21:04Just come and do this and like yes, like just no questions
- 21:09asked. Booked the ticket and brought
- 21:10him to Philly. Like same.
- 21:12I don't think it was same day, but it was very soon, you know.
- 21:15Killer, killer. Yeah.
- 21:16I've been very fortunate to see Anthony solo circa Survive LS
- 21:21Dunes. We've just covered LS Dunes on
- 21:23their current tour. I actually think that that band
- 21:25is better live than on the records.
- 21:27But the new record, Violet is really good.
- 21:29And then for Fairmont Park After Dark, which is a great fucking
- 21:33time right in itself. That's a great title.
- 21:35Almost seems like a book or like what a great title.
- 21:38Oh my God. So for that one, right, what was
- 21:40the do you guys just kind of write and then think like so and
- 21:43so will be good on that song or can we collaborate on that with
- 21:46this song? Or did you have the songs
- 21:48finished and then you offered them up to people?
- 21:50I had them finished and then offered them up to people.
- 21:53It's like not trying to, you know, art, we're going to have
- 21:56this person and then no, it's like we just write what we feel,
- 22:01you know what I mean? I try to make it as raw and as
- 22:04literal as possible and then figure out things like features
- 22:07after the fact. It just so happens that song is
- 22:10like a perfect, you know, I mean Anthony Green song.
- 22:14Oh, for sure. I mean, for sure.
- 22:16That's a mate. Yeah, I mean, that song is, I
- 22:18think that. Yeah, Jamie, that someone's
- 22:19gonna crush people. It's so good.
- 22:21I hope it's a single or something because I think it
- 22:23needs to get hurt by everybody. I still think singles and videos
- 22:26help. I don't know.
- 22:27I could be wrong. Yeah, it's so hard to know the
- 22:29business. It changes literally all the
- 22:31time. I just thought.
- 22:33Yes, I'd be having a perspective of like someone from, you know,
- 22:37oh, I remember MTV 2 premieres and stuff and it's like people
- 22:40don't look at it that way. Like really the, the single.
- 22:44I feel like it's such a representation.
- 22:47It's such a representation. And like I even loved when they
- 22:51were like the second and third singles with the videos because
- 22:54it was like a little deeper into the album, you know, the first
- 22:57one is like a very general, but I feel like the second and third
- 23:01wave singles that bands were put out just had so much more
- 23:05personality. Do you?
- 23:06Do you know what I'm saying? Absolutely.
- 23:08And then when you. Heard the album when you got to
- 23:10those tracks, it just had a little more depth to it because
- 23:13it was like, oh man, this video was a little harder to find.
- 23:17Everyone's. I saw the video for this.
- 23:19A lot of people didn't see the video for that.
- 23:22But then that was like when I was in, you know, high school.
- 23:26I'm sure people don't look at it that way anymore.
- 23:29Right on. I I hope people do and I, I
- 23:31still think there's a place for it and and I'm pumped for it.
- 23:34Hey, last question. I always ask a wild card
- 23:37question. So of course I'm going to ask
- 23:38the guy in Philly where to get the best cheese steak pads,
- 23:41Gino's, Angelo's who tell me I've been going, I've been
- 23:44getting the wrong ones. Sometimes there's a place called
- 23:47AL's I like, like, but I don't know, like where do you go to
- 23:50get a cheese steak if you need one or you in the band?
- 23:52I would say Ave. on South, it's in South Philly.
- 23:56It's just a pizzeria. And it's not like, you know, a
- 24:00big flashy sign that's like the best cheese steak in the world.
- 24:03It's Joe. I'm sorry I lost you there for a
- 24:04second, pal. You there?
- 24:05I think you cut out for a second.
- 24:07I'm sorry, can you hear me? Yeah, I can hear you now.
- 24:08If you want to just give me the answer again.
- 24:10I appreciate it. Yeah, sure.
- 24:11I would say Ave. on South in South Philly, that'd be the best
- 24:16one because they just like, I don't know, it's not like a big
- 24:20flashy sign, you know what I mean?
- 24:21That says like best cheese steak in Philly.
- 24:24It's just a pizzeria that's really good that has the best
- 24:29cheese steak in South Philly, or I'd say Ave. or no, not that
- 24:33one. Circles and squares.
- 24:35That's in South Philly too. And it's like just this.
- 24:38You have to walk up to it. It's just a storefront window.
- 24:42Like you don't even walk in to eat.
- 24:43And they have amazing food. It's crazy.
- 24:47And they're only open, I think like a few days a week.
- 24:50I don't even, I'm not sure exactly when they're open.
- 24:53I know every time we come home from tour, they're never open a
- 24:57Monday or Tuesday. But yeah, Please remember that.
- 25:01The best cheese steaks in Philly Ave. on South and a place called
- 25:05Circles and Squares. All right.
- 25:07Cool good to know. I'm more of a Colby Jack guy
- 25:10than a Wiz guy. But like, again, I'm not even
- 25:12from Philly, but like next time I get when I get back east again
- 25:16and I go to Philly, I'm gonna check those places out and hit
- 25:19you. If I could give you one more
- 25:22recommendation, when you go to either of these places, get
- 25:26Cooper Sharp Cheese Cooper Sharp.
- 25:29That is the best cheese to get on a cheese steak.
- 25:32That's for real. Yeah, that's to live by.
- 25:34But First off, man, thank you so much.
- 25:36Congratulations on this new record.
- 25:38I'm so stoked for you guys and I can't wait for people to hear it
- 25:41all and react to it. And I hope, hopefully we'll get
- 25:44you. We'll see you on the road in one
- 25:46of these places we cover all over the country in the world.
- 25:49I want to go home is coming out from Kanashi on Equal Vision
- 25:52Records June 6th. Peter Mann, thanks so much for
- 25:54hanging out with us. Hey, thank you man, Appreciate
- 25:57it. This has been another episode of
