- 1:07Speaker 1: Sure we're on a campaign to not do that. We're

- 1:51Speaker 1: Couples Therapy with Doctor or No.
- 1:53Speaker 2: We love that show.
- 1:54Speaker 1: And we have some shows that are going to be
- 1:56Speaker 1: popping off in the next couple of months that I
- 1:59Speaker 1: very dearly want to follow. For example, Beatrice, I sent
- 2:03Speaker 1: you a DM on the ig of a new show
- 2:07Speaker 1: that TLC is releasing called poly Polly Family something like that.
- 2:13Speaker 1: It's like two married couples that create a quad polycule.
- 2:18Speaker 1: So the husband bangs both of those wives. Both of
- 2:22Speaker 1: those wives banged both.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Of the everybody's everyone's bank, everyone's screwing and there's problems.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Oh yeah, of course who would have seen that coming?
- 2:31Speaker 2: Oh not me?
- 2:32Speaker 1: And I'm excited about it. I'm into it. But Beatrice
- 2:36Speaker 1: is saying that we might have to cover that on
- 2:37Speaker 1: Patreon because you're fixing to get set off. Yeah.
- 2:41Speaker 2: I don't know if I can hold back for the
- 2:43Speaker 2: YouTube gods.
- 2:45Speaker 1: You're gonna be turbo politically incorrect on Patreon. So we
- 2:49Speaker 1: have a lot of things that are coming up and
- 2:51Speaker 1: if you want to support us, it truly is the
- 2:53Speaker 1: best way to do that. And also if you are

- 3:12Speaker 1: k two of our podcast, which is five thousand subscribers
- 3:18Speaker 1: on YouTube.
- 3:18Speaker 2: We are very close. We're at four point ninety eight,
- 3:22Speaker 2: edging up to five gig.
- 3:24Speaker 1: It's getting tantricky.
- 3:27Speaker 2: We are almost there.
- 3:28Speaker 1: We're about to go. We're about to make it to
- 3:31Speaker 1: five thousand. So don't forget to do all of those
- 3:33Speaker 1: things people on YouTube. It really does help us.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 3:37Speaker 1: In Yeah, I also get right into this fantastic episode.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Well it wasn't that fantastic, but there were a couple
- 3:46Speaker 1: of parts, yeah, that I thought were quite fascinating.
- 3:51Speaker 2: There were some little nuggets in there that were pretty
- 3:53Speaker 2: pretty juicy. Yes, we start off the episode with everybody
- 3:57Speaker 2: but Mary moving into their houses. Yeah, and you have
- 4:01Speaker 2: Leon throwing a little teenage tantrum.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Working in the salt mine sinny yep, driving their car
- 4:09Speaker 1: into the middle of the cul de Sac in the dark,
- 4:11Speaker 1: in the dark, just to stare at their house and cry.
- 4:15Speaker 1: And all of the other kids are running around because
- 4:18Speaker 1: they've all moved into their big mansions in the cold,
- 4:21Speaker 1: but there is Leon just crying in the mini van
- 4:25Speaker 1: hood yep.
- 4:26Speaker 2: And Mary tries to talk to Leon, and Mary's like,
- 4:29Speaker 2: what's wrong, as if she doesn't know what the heck
- 4:32Speaker 2: is wrong Leon, And Leon's like, I'm pissed off, really
- 4:37Speaker 2: mad about it. I felt for Leon, And Leon's like
- 4:42Speaker 2: it's unfair.
- 4:43Speaker 1: It is every single other child in this family is
- 4:48Speaker 1: in their home, but here we are like a couple
- 4:51Speaker 1: of vagabonds stuck out in the cold.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's not fair. Well, and Mary can't even
- 4:57Speaker 2: tell Leon what's wrong, Like Mary can't even get into
- 5:00Speaker 2: the financials, can't talk about what's delaying anything. Mary's just
- 5:04Speaker 2: like I don't know. I don't know if we're gonna
- 5:07Speaker 2: make an even more grief.
- 5:10Speaker 1: So that was really weird to me because Mary's explaining
- 5:13Speaker 1: this to us on camera, like saying that Leon is
- 5:16Speaker 1: asking like why how come us? Of course, how come
- 5:20Speaker 1: we're a glass? And Mary doesn't have answers to give
- 5:23Speaker 1: to Leon. But then She's like, and even the financial stuff,
- 5:27Speaker 1: there's a chance that our loan will not go through,
- 5:31Speaker 1: Our loan will not be funded. And I really can't
- 5:33Speaker 1: explain why that is to leon And I'm just saying, how.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Could that be.
- 5:38Speaker 1: You're literally a couple of days away from getting into
- 5:42Speaker 1: the home and you're worried that your loan's not going
- 5:45Speaker 1: to be funded.
- 5:46Speaker 2: That doesn't make sense. If Robin can get a proof
- 5:49Speaker 2: with her a long honey, why can't you get a
- 5:51Speaker 2: broke Mary?
- 5:52Speaker 1: She's the only wife who is legally attached to Cody,
- 5:56Speaker 1: And this could mean that Cody's credit is really to rable.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Maybe maybe Cody's work history, maybe his bankruptcy history, maybe
- 6:05Speaker 1: is a problem. But I don't know. All I know
- 6:08Speaker 1: is Mary's like, it's a mystery to me why we
- 6:13Speaker 1: grifters can't get into these homes.
- 6:16Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Maybe that's just her covering up for the fact that
- 6:19Speaker 1: she was scrap booking and delaying Danny the builder from
- 6:22Speaker 1: building her house, not submitting paperwork, submitting paperwork, making a
- 6:26Speaker 1: bunch of last minute changes to the blinds and to.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Her floors, and her wet bar. Right, maybe that's just
- 6:33Speaker 2: a cover up because Mary knows she messed up. She's
- 6:37Speaker 2: the one that broke the promise to Leon, and she
- 6:39Speaker 2: wants to blame everybody else.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Right but herself. But meanwhile, your child is out here
- 6:43Speaker 1: crying in a mini van and it's because of you.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Yeah, it's because of you. It's ridiculous. And then this
- 6:51Speaker 2: is where Christine on the couch makes some weird out
- 6:54Speaker 2: of pocket comment about the fact that Mary feels left out,
- 6:59Speaker 2: probably feel left out from the houses because everybody else
- 7:02Speaker 2: is moving in, just like when everybody else was popping
- 7:05Speaker 2: out all them babies and Mary's womb was drying up
- 7:10Speaker 2: before there, Like it was such a like making.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Some strange connection between Mary's infertility and Mary's inability to
- 7:19Speaker 1: get into this house by Christmas, which just further proves
- 7:22Speaker 1: our point that some of these women will take any
- 7:26Speaker 1: opportunity whatsoever to make Mary seem like less than a woman, yeah,
- 7:32Speaker 1: or less than like worthy of her fair share in
- 7:35Speaker 1: this family because of her inability to have more children.
- 7:39Speaker 1: It was just like it didn't need to be said. No,
- 7:41Speaker 1: I'm sure you're thinking that that's okay, but like you
- 7:43Speaker 1: don't have to share that, particularly on the couch on
- 7:47Speaker 1: camera for the entire nation, I know, and I'm like,
- 7:50Speaker 1: what is this? It is like I sense a little
- 7:52Speaker 1: bit of passive aggression, because like I'm like, are you
- 7:55Speaker 1: doing this because Mary's a bst hd y'all like off
- 7:59Speaker 1: camera and you're just doing this just to stamber a
- 8:02Speaker 1: little bit on the couch, or like, are you just
- 8:04Speaker 1: thinking that it means well when it really doesn't when
- 8:07Speaker 1: we're just talking about the fact that Mary can't have
- 8:09Speaker 1: another kid. Maybe it's to propel the stupid storyline between
- 8:13Speaker 1: Mary and Cody and Cody begging her to have a
- 8:15Speaker 1: kid and begging to use Robin as a surrogate.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Maybe that's why they're making the car I don't know.
- 8:20Speaker 1: I kind of like your idea that maybe it's a
- 8:22Speaker 1: passive aggressive dig And when we get further into this
- 8:25Speaker 1: episode and we have the conversation between Cody and Mary,
- 8:29Speaker 1: wherein Mary's making the connection between Leon's behavior being very
- 8:33Speaker 1: similar to her behavior and how she acted, especially in
- 8:37Speaker 1: the beginning of their marriage, like, maybe there's a reason
- 8:40Speaker 1: these people hate you. Yeah, maybe maybe there's a reason
- 8:42Speaker 1: these people are taking passive aggressive swipes at you, and
- 8:45Speaker 1: it's because you dealt with them in an aggressive aggressive way, yeah,
- 8:48Speaker 1: for many years.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Well, let's just talk about that, because Cody like straight
- 8:52Speaker 2: up says that he cringes at Leon and Mary's relationship.
- 8:56Speaker 2: He says that Leon and Mary are very much the
- 8:59Speaker 2: same person. He tells Mary that's straight up, and Mary
- 9:03Speaker 2: like at first she's like, oh, shut up, but then
- 9:05Speaker 2: has a moment of self reflection and says, you know, yeah, like,
- 9:08Speaker 2: I see a lot of myself in them, And I
- 9:12Speaker 2: can understand now how that would have been a lot
- 9:15Speaker 2: for you, because I was acting a lot like Leon
- 9:17Speaker 2: back in the day and now I'm realizing, at my
- 9:20Speaker 2: big age of forty two or whatever how old she
- 9:23Speaker 2: is at this point, she realizes that wasn't okay and
- 9:26Speaker 2: that was a lot, And I don't know, Cody seems
- 9:29Speaker 2: so over it. At this point.
- 9:31Speaker 1: For me, I literally had an epiphany sitting on my reclinerhood.
- 9:37Speaker 1: I was like, oh, my god, that makes perfect sense.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Your child is growing up to be a mini you,
- 9:45Speaker 1: behaving in much the same way that you behaved when
- 9:48Speaker 1: you were just twelve years older than they are currently.
- 9:52Speaker 1: So you're nineteen years old when you married Cody, and
- 9:55Speaker 1: so Leon is exhibiting the same behavior that you exhibited
- 9:58Speaker 1: to Cody, and you've been asking yourself for many years,
- 10:00Speaker 1: like why why don't they like me? Or why is
- 10:03Speaker 1: it so hard? Or why do I feel so safe?
- 10:06Speaker 2: Oh?
- 10:06Speaker 1: Dad, it's because and she's maybe coming into the consciousness
- 10:11Speaker 1: of the fact that she mistreated people, just like maybe
- 10:14Speaker 1: Leon is in the process of doing the same toward
- 10:16Speaker 1: her and toward other family members as well, which we
- 10:19Speaker 1: get to at Saint Lucia.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Day or whatever.
- 10:21Speaker 1: I thought it was meaningful, like this was a meaningful observation,
- 10:25Speaker 1: and I'm watching Mary try to share this with Cody
- 10:30Speaker 1: and actually say like, actually, I get it. I realize
- 10:33Speaker 1: how you must have felt dealing with me because I'm
- 10:36Speaker 1: currently dealing with Leon. And instead of Cody like taking
- 10:39Speaker 1: a beat or taking a breath and saying something like,
- 10:42Speaker 1: oh my god, breakthrough. Yeah, instead of that, he's like,
- 10:46Speaker 1: you talk too much. Like you do is talk and
- 10:49Speaker 1: talk and talk. Let me deal with Leon. I'll take
- 10:51Speaker 1: care of it. You just stay right here. And Mary's like, okay,
- 10:55Speaker 1: all right, I'm just trying to say that I sympathize
- 10:58Speaker 1: with what you've been through because I've been a bitch.
- 11:02Speaker 1: But he storms off to have a conversation with Leon
- 11:05Speaker 1: and that too, was very interesting.
- 11:08Speaker 2: That was ridiculous, that whole conversation with Cody. But yeah,
- 11:11Speaker 2: I mean, like the I like the moment of self
- 11:13Speaker 2: reflection from Mary, like it should have probably happened a
- 11:17Speaker 2: little bit sooner than forty something, But I'm glad that
- 11:20Speaker 2: she's finally realizing it now that she's raising Leon and
- 11:23Speaker 2: sees herself in Leon. That's like a really pivotal moment.
- 11:26Speaker 2: I feel like a lot of parents probably see that,
- 11:28Speaker 2: like especially as your kids come of age, like you
- 11:31Speaker 2: realize like, oh dang, yeah, like that was me when
- 11:34Speaker 2: I was younger, and you're so far removed from it
- 11:36Speaker 2: that sometimes it's hard to like have that moment of reflection.
- 11:40Speaker 2: So it was good that Mary had that. Cody was
- 11:43Speaker 2: not receptive to it at all, and it just speaks
- 11:45Speaker 2: to his emotional immaturity and also Mary's emotional immaturity, because
- 11:50Speaker 2: she's also making Leon's feelings kind of all about her
- 11:54Speaker 2: in even in these moments she's just like, I don't
- 11:56Speaker 2: know what to do with Leon. I don't know why
- 11:58Speaker 2: they're so upset, And I'm like, you mean, why do
- 12:01Speaker 2: you how do you not know?
- 12:02Speaker 1: You gave Leon an expectation of being with the rest
- 12:06Speaker 1: of the family celebrating at the same time, and with
- 12:09Speaker 1: the rest of the family for Christmas, and once again,
- 12:12Speaker 1: Leon is feeling like they're othered, and Mary, you're being
- 12:17Speaker 1: othered and Leon is sitting back watching you get last
- 12:21Speaker 1: place again and again you're the wife who doesn't get
- 12:23Speaker 1: to have additional children. And remember when Robin announced her
- 12:27Speaker 1: pregnancy with Saul, Leon went up to the bathroom and
- 12:30Speaker 1: actually cried because Leon knew how this was going to
- 12:33Speaker 1: impact their mother. And so there's a lot going on here.
- 12:36Speaker 1: It's like not just about you, Mary, Like there's a
- 12:38Speaker 1: lot of actual emotional triage that we need to be
- 12:41Speaker 1: doing for Leon yet, and the best we can do
- 12:44Speaker 1: is send Cody's ass in there to tell them to
- 12:48Speaker 1: essentially keep sweet. Let's get to that conversation that made.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Me so mad, because Leon has every right to be
- 12:57Speaker 2: upset and to be angry, and they're a teenager, so
- 13:00Speaker 2: they don't know how to emotionally regulate, They don't know
- 13:02Speaker 2: how to deal with anything. Their frontal lobebas not even
- 13:05Speaker 2: fully developed, and.
- 13:05Speaker 1: Nobody's offering them therapy or any.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Thing, and so like, Leon is acting out because they're mad.
- 13:12Speaker 2: They don't know how to deal with all of the
- 13:14Speaker 2: emotions they're feeling. And they're dealing with puberty in high
- 13:17Speaker 2: school and graduating and their family being dysfunctional af and
- 13:21Speaker 2: having to move around multiple times, like not only just
- 13:24Speaker 2: to Vegas, but in those rental homes and then out
- 13:26Speaker 2: of the rental homes, and then dealing with Mary breaking
- 13:29Speaker 2: their promise to them. Like, there's so much that Leon's
- 13:32Speaker 2: dealing with, and so of course they're acting out. Of
- 13:35Speaker 2: Course they're mad. Of course they're upset. And Cody comes
- 13:38Speaker 2: over there and he tries a little bit to have
- 13:42Speaker 2: a kind of mature conversation by saying, maybe Leon, don't
- 13:46Speaker 2: take it out on the rest of the family, Like,
- 13:48Speaker 2: I get that you're upset. I understand why you're upset,
- 13:51Speaker 2: but at the same time, maybe when you're upset, just
- 13:54Speaker 2: go and separate yourself for a few minutes from the
- 13:56Speaker 2: family and then come back and be sweet and be
- 13:59Speaker 2: the nice, kind, optimistic self that you actually are. Don't
- 14:02Speaker 2: be sad, because remember you're with your family.
- 14:05Speaker 1: He's literally telling them to have a disposition of cheer
- 14:09Speaker 1: and like how important it is and the kind of
- 14:12Speaker 1: impact it makes on the rest of the family if
- 14:15Speaker 1: you just keep sweet and be nice. And interestingly, Leon
- 14:21Speaker 1: is sitting there crying. I think Leon really looks up
- 14:24Speaker 1: for whatever reason to Cody and yeah, and Leon's taking
- 14:29Speaker 1: it very seriously. But I'm like this, in this moment,
- 14:31Speaker 1: this is not what Leon needs. No, they need somebody
- 14:35Speaker 1: to just sit there and allow them to vent and
- 14:39Speaker 1: off gas what they're going through in this moment, as
- 14:42Speaker 1: opposed to like putting another expectation on them of how
- 14:46Speaker 1: they've got to behave and act and conduct themselves so
- 14:49Speaker 1: that everybody else is comfortable around them.
- 14:52Speaker 2: It is so unfair, it's so lame, and they're just
- 14:55Speaker 2: taking like both Cody and Mary and probably the rest
- 14:57Speaker 2: of the family is taking Leon's out bursts personally like
- 15:02Speaker 2: it affects them so much that they want to tell
- 15:04Speaker 2: Leon stop it. Just be sweet, be nice, don't be sad.
- 15:08Speaker 2: It's like no, Like they're a teenager. They're dealing with
- 15:10Speaker 2: a lot. They need their parent to just empathize with
- 15:13Speaker 2: them and hug them maybe and tell them it's gonna
- 15:16Speaker 2: be okay. We're gonna figure it out. Like do you
- 15:19Speaker 2: want to talk about it, We're here to listen. No,
- 15:21Speaker 2: it's just Cody giving a lecture. And it's stupid, and like,
- 15:24Speaker 2: I don't know why he was insisting on taking care
- 15:28Speaker 2: of the relationship like or taking care of Leon's emotions here.
- 15:32Speaker 2: I don't know why he wanted to take that from Mary.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Maybe it was just for the cameras to make it
- 15:37Speaker 2: seem like, oh, he's a good duh.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Right, he cares I'm sting me. Let me step in
- 15:42Speaker 1: and take care of this problem.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Maybe that's what it was. But also, like, I don't
- 15:45Speaker 2: think Mary was being super like empathetic to Leon's feelings either,
- 15:50Speaker 2: because Leon and Mary are kind of a weird dynamic.
- 15:53Speaker 2: They seem a little ameshed together, right.
- 15:56Speaker 1: And previous to this, Mary is giving Leon all of
- 16:00Speaker 1: this hope and again this expectation that they're going to
- 16:02Speaker 1: be able to get into this home, and then all
- 16:04Speaker 1: of a sudden, Mary's got no answers. Yeah, I really
- 16:07Speaker 1: don't know how to explain the finances, and I don't
- 16:08Speaker 1: really know how to explain the timeline. All of a sudden,
- 16:11Speaker 1: all of this hope and surety that I gave you
- 16:13Speaker 1: is just gone, and I've gotten nothing for you. As
- 16:15Speaker 1: of course, Leon is sitting there floundering. Now, I will
- 16:19Speaker 1: just point out that this is the beginning of the
- 16:22Speaker 1: Leon arc, in which I begin to truly dislike Leon
- 16:27Speaker 1: because of the way they conduct themselves and indeed because
- 16:31Speaker 1: of the way they treat Mary, especially over the catfish
- 16:35Speaker 1: thing and making fun of Mary's eyebrows, and there's a
- 16:39Speaker 1: lot of cruel things that Leon actually did. I think
- 16:41Speaker 1: we're just at the beginning of that season. Yeah, so
- 16:45Speaker 1: at this point right now, separating myself from what I
- 16:48Speaker 1: know about that, I have a lot of compassion for
- 16:50Speaker 1: this child and I feel really bad for them, But
- 16:55Speaker 1: we'll go and get worse.
- 16:56Speaker 2: And like, can't you see why they go down this
- 16:59Speaker 2: line like villain arc and like why they start acting
- 17:02Speaker 2: out even more and start becoming mean because they have
- 17:05Speaker 2: these parents that quite frankly suck. Like Mary's not great,
- 17:10Speaker 2: She's not emotionally regulated.
- 17:11Speaker 1: And Mary's one hundred person. Mary has a predisposition in
- 17:16Speaker 1: her emotionality and psychology exactly to be mean and dismissive
- 17:20Speaker 1: in many other traits exactly. And I wondered to you
- 17:24Speaker 1: on the WhatsApp today, I'm like, yeah, is there some
- 17:25Speaker 1: sort of a personality disorder that was inherited by Leon?
- 17:29Speaker 1: I'm not sure, but like there's also that component as well.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Correct for sure. Yeah, and it's because Mary has not
- 17:35Speaker 2: gone to therapy or dealt with her issues. Now she's
- 17:38Speaker 2: doing worthy of, but she hasn't worthied up her own self.
- 17:41Speaker 2: Like she's got issues. She needs therapy. She needs to
- 17:44Speaker 2: talk about her feelings instead of just being like, wow's up,
- 17:47Speaker 2: it's unsafe, right, No, be vulnerable and figure out the
- 17:51Speaker 2: root of your issues. Where does that meanness come from?
- 17:53Speaker 2: Does it come from being belittled constantly? From Cody being
- 17:57Speaker 2: married to Code ever twenty years? Maybe should deal with
- 18:00Speaker 2: that instead of sympathizing for him constantly, even done this
- 18:04Speaker 2: day in season nineteen. Yeah, you know what I mean.
- 18:06Speaker 2: Like Mary's got problems, so yeah, and it doesn't excuse
- 18:09Speaker 2: her behavior. Doesn't excuse her aggression or her meanness or
- 18:12Speaker 2: her bad parenting to Leon. And it doesn't excuse Leon's
- 18:15Speaker 2: behavior either. Leon should get therapy too. They're probably in
- 18:18Speaker 2: therapy now, but like you know, they should work on
- 18:21Speaker 2: their stuff. But I can see why Leon goes down
- 18:24Speaker 2: the paths that they go to.
- 18:25Speaker 1: Well, as Prince said, children only imitate their atmosphere. I'm
- 18:30Speaker 1: just saying, fact check out the atmosphere.
- 18:34Speaker 2: Yeah, yep, I can see that one percent. And then
- 18:38Speaker 2: at some point we have some introduction to a stupid
- 18:41Speaker 2: caramel competition via.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Cody, who cares. It's funny because as I was watching this,
- 18:48Speaker 1: I was like, did they do this last season? Because
- 18:51Speaker 1: I could have swore I already saw this entire thing.
- 18:54Speaker 1: But that's because for Christmas on Patreon, we actually watched
- 18:58Speaker 1: the Christmas the Special Christmas episode and we saw this already. Oh,
- 19:03Speaker 1: I forgot it and I was bored then as well,
- 19:06Speaker 1: and I'm bored here now too.
- 19:07Speaker 2: It's very boring. Yeah, Cody wants the wives to make
- 19:10Speaker 2: caramel just like his mommy dad, because it was a
- 19:14Speaker 2: trickition for every year for forty years for Christmas. She
- 19:18Speaker 2: made her famous caramels with walnuts in them for some reason,
- 19:21Speaker 2: and so he was all the wives to make it.
- 19:24Speaker 2: He wants to pit him against each other and make
- 19:26Speaker 2: a competition who can make Mommy's caramels the best, and
- 19:29Speaker 2: whoever's the winner is worthy of being Cody's wife.
- 19:34Speaker 1: That will guarantee that I will shit in your caramels.
- 19:37Speaker 1: I will shit right in your caramels, Tody.
- 19:39Speaker 2: Straight diarrhea, Yeah, diarrhea.
- 19:46Speaker 1: There's caramels very good.
- 19:50Speaker 2: For real though, why And he makes a comment like,
- 19:53Speaker 2: I know people watch this might think I'm a misogynistic pig,
- 19:56Speaker 2: but actually I have an ulterior motive here. It's because
- 20:00Speaker 2: I want more caramels.
- 20:02Speaker 1: No, that part, the misogynistic pig part, that part, that's
- 20:06Speaker 1: exactly why. Yeah.
- 20:07Speaker 2: And we have Christine taking this competition very seriously. Yes,
- 20:11Speaker 2: like the aris that she is and also a cook.
- 20:14Speaker 2: She's a cook, she's a home body.
- 20:15Speaker 1: She likes to That would be for these kids and
- 20:19Speaker 1: she loves doing that.
- 20:20Speaker 2: Yeah, that would be me too, Like I would totally
- 20:22Speaker 2: be like I'm gonna witness competition as you would. I would, yeah,
- 20:26Speaker 2: because I would want to make it perfect, and Christine does.
- 20:28Speaker 2: She like makes three batches because she burns the first
- 20:31Speaker 2: two and then the third badge ends up being just right.
- 20:35Speaker 2: We have Janelle enlisting her mom to make the caramels
- 20:39Speaker 2: for her so Janelle can go work on the taxes
- 20:41Speaker 2: or something right and not have to act.
- 20:43Speaker 1: To the movies. Yeah, I'm gonna go to the movies
- 20:46Speaker 1: Total Taurus. I love it.
- 20:47Speaker 2: I think it's great. And I mean she would have
- 20:50Speaker 2: an end because her mom is married to Cody's dad
- 20:53Speaker 2: and a parent used to make the caramels with Cody's
- 20:56Speaker 2: mom during Christmases and stuff.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Right, and that is so much. Yeah, and we talk
- 21:02Speaker 1: about it from time to time, and I'm reminded about
- 21:04Speaker 1: how strange that is. And just to catch everybody up
- 21:06Speaker 1: in case you didn't know, which I know all of
- 21:08Speaker 1: you already know forensically. So, when Janelle was court and
- 21:12Speaker 1: Cody and they were contemplating marriage together, her mother Cheryl
- 21:17Speaker 1: heard about that nonsense with them kids, and came into
- 21:20Speaker 1: town to check and see what was going on. And
- 21:23Speaker 1: while there met Cody's father, Wynn, Yeah, the cattle rancher
- 21:27Speaker 1: like that. Belt apparently fell in love with Wynn, who
- 21:30Speaker 1: was married to Janelle, a lady named Janelle Cody's mama,
- 21:34Speaker 1: Cody's mama, and fell in love and became Wynn's second
- 21:39Speaker 1: wife before Janelle even became Cody's second wife. Well, and
- 21:43Speaker 1: which is so crazy wild.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Because apparently Janelle said her mom was worried that Janelle
- 21:50Speaker 2: being interested in Cody would mean that she was getting
- 21:52Speaker 2: sucked into a polygamist cult. And then Janelle's mom ends
- 21:56Speaker 2: up getting into that polygamist.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Cause the magical polygamisting dog.
- 22:00Speaker 2: I guess it's a magical listen. If Wynn Brown was
- 22:04Speaker 2: a big old cattle rancher, maybe he was hung you know.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Maybe. I know she had a ranch and it was
- 22:12Speaker 1: a working rant. But when we visited Win's ranch in
- 22:16Speaker 1: season one or whatever and they went to paint their
- 22:18Speaker 1: mom's house, I'm like, it's.
- 22:19Speaker 2: Kind of house that Cody All lived in.
- 22:23Speaker 1: And Cheryl lived in the better house, and Winn spent
- 22:25Speaker 1: all her time with Cheryl with a harbinger of things
- 22:28Speaker 1: to come for everybody. But I just I didn't. I
- 22:31Speaker 1: didn't get the impression that Win was a man of
- 22:34Speaker 1: means or well no, but you know, there's no account
- 22:37Speaker 1: for falling in love. Yeah, sure, lightning struck right in.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Cheryl's right for real though, I know. And so while
- 22:49Speaker 2: they're making, well, Cheryl's making the caramels for Janelle in
- 22:52Speaker 2: the competition, then we have Mary and Robin, and Robin
- 22:56Speaker 2: is not happy about this competition at all. She's like,
- 22:59Speaker 2: it's Christmas, but it's actually January second, which.
- 23:02Speaker 1: We haven't even talked about really, but we will get it.
- 23:04Speaker 2: We'll get to it. But like Robin's like, I'm tired.
- 23:08Speaker 2: I don't want to make these stobic.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Harms, nor would I be. I wouldn't want to. It's Christmas.
- 23:13Speaker 1: We've got nineteen thousand children and adults coming off right, yeah,
- 23:17Speaker 1: and probably participating in some way when we all know
- 23:20Speaker 1: she's going to be sitting back and enjoying the largess
- 23:22Speaker 1: of the entire family. Christine's gonna be doing everything we
- 23:25Speaker 1: already know. But she's like, I'm tired, I don't want
- 23:27Speaker 1: to do this. And so they come up with this
- 23:30Speaker 1: mad cap idea brilliant of like going out to Lola's
- 23:34Speaker 1: or something or something where they sell some caramels, yeah,
- 23:38Speaker 1: and purchasing the caramels and then microwaving them and repackaging
- 23:42Speaker 1: them and pretending that they slaved away at those candies.
- 23:46Speaker 2: Yeah, And like Robin thinks it's the funniest thing ever.
- 23:50Speaker 2: Like she's like laughing so hard.
- 23:52Speaker 1: Like a little school threered.
- 23:54Speaker 2: And then she has some weird segment where she's like,
- 23:57Speaker 2: I would be a terrible criminal because I don't know
- 24:00Speaker 2: how to lie.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Oh I know. I'm like, oh God, if you could
- 24:04Speaker 1: only see into the future and see yourself being a
- 24:09Speaker 1: thief and a criminal and a terrible person, I dare say,
- 24:13Speaker 1: a demon, a dhoniac, somebody needing to be exercised of
- 24:18Speaker 1: multiple demons. Yeah, we exercised the first demon, and that
- 24:22Speaker 1: demon brought seven fucking demons back with them into your body.
- 24:25Speaker 1: That's how possessed you are with evilness, Robin. So keep
- 24:29Speaker 1: trackling away while you're getting your caramels and your weird
- 24:32Speaker 1: radiator shop or whatever. But I am on to you.
- 24:35Speaker 1: We're all this is second nature to you. Cheating and
- 24:38Speaker 1: thieving and conniving.
- 24:39Speaker 2: One hundred you are. And then Cody judges the caramels
- 24:44Speaker 2: a low of a hold. Christine wins because she's the
- 24:46Speaker 2: only one that actually put love and effort into the carmels. Yeah,
- 24:50Speaker 2: and that's it. But she's not worthy of being Cody's
- 24:53Speaker 2: wife apparently, because we know.
- 24:56Speaker 1: I think he's already stopped banging. Yeah, but it's not
- 25:00Speaker 1: until they're all on the couch later discussing the caramel competition. Yeah,
- 25:06Speaker 1: that Mary and Robin actually cop to the fact that
- 25:09Speaker 1: they cheated and start laughing, and Janelle's laughing and Christine's
- 25:13Speaker 1: kind of laughing, although I think Christine's a little bit
- 25:15Speaker 1: but her because she really did try very hard. And
- 25:19Speaker 1: then Cody gets up and storms off. He's just joking though.
- 25:23Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a little bit of an homage to Christine
- 25:26Speaker 2: walking off for the wedding dress thing. Yeah, she's kind
- 25:28Speaker 2: of funny, and I mean it's kind of a funny
- 25:31Speaker 2: moment between all of them, like laughing and being jovial.
- 25:33Speaker 2: But I would be Christine. I'd be like, really, I
- 25:36Speaker 2: made three batches. Yeah, I slaved over all this, and
- 25:40Speaker 2: she probably cooked Christmas dinner two by herself.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Indeed, oh else is doing it. It's not Robin, No,
- 25:46Speaker 1: it's not Mary.
- 25:47Speaker 2: It's not Janelle either, because she says she straight up
- 25:50Speaker 2: in this episode, I don't cook.
- 25:51Speaker 1: It's probably Bonnie.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Yeah, and Cheryl and Christine. That's it. So Christine's slaving away,
- 25:57Speaker 2: and she's doing this because she loves Cody for some
- 25:59Speaker 2: reason and wants to win this competition for some reason.
- 26:02Speaker 2: And so I would be about her too. Yeah if
- 26:04Speaker 2: Mary and Robin just went and bought a bunch of caramels.
- 26:07Speaker 2: But whatever. And then we have Christmas Day, which is
- 26:10Speaker 2: actually not on Christmas days, on January second.
- 26:13Speaker 1: So let's talk about that, because I'm forgetting what the
- 26:16Speaker 1: reason was that they gave to the viewing audience that
- 26:19Speaker 1: they were going to have Christmas on January second.
- 26:22Speaker 2: What was it, Well, they said it was because Mary
- 26:25Speaker 2: wasn't going to be in her house by actual Christmas Day.
- 26:28Speaker 2: But Robin's kids right went to Montana.
- 26:32Speaker 1: Last episode, so maybe it was because they were gone
- 26:35Speaker 1: for like two weeks one hundred entirely because the kids
- 26:40Speaker 1: were gone for Christmas. And so Robin petitioned the priests
- 26:43Speaker 1: of the family, the pastoral of the family, and said,
- 26:47Speaker 1: can we please have Christmas when my children are back?
- 26:51Speaker 1: And they all agreed, and that is what they did.
- 26:53Speaker 1: And this just made me think and reflect back to
- 26:56Speaker 1: how many times in the last two seasons. So eighteen
- 27:00Speaker 1: nineteen Robin was talking about how the wives rejected her,
- 27:05Speaker 1: they never truly accepted her, the kids didn't accept her
- 27:09Speaker 1: or her kids, and I'm like, well, they're rearranging their
- 27:13Speaker 1: entire holiday, yeah, so that your kids can come back
- 27:17Speaker 1: and enjoy the celebration, and then we get to like
- 27:19Speaker 1: the presence and stuff, and like everybody's super happy. Nobody's
- 27:22Speaker 1: lording it over you that they had to wait for.
- 27:25Speaker 1: It's just like it's not necessarily sussing out for me.
- 27:29Speaker 2: No, I don't see how anybody's been terrible to you.
- 27:32Speaker 2: I mean, maybe Christine's been a little passive aggressive, but
- 27:35Speaker 2: you also have been passive aggressive, Robin calling them fat
- 27:38Speaker 2: and yeah, stretch marks given them.
- 27:40Speaker 1: That's aggressive aggressive, that's malicious, vindictive aggressive.
- 27:43Speaker 2: Yes, exactly. But miss me with this. Christine was a
- 27:47Speaker 2: terrible sister and Jane was so awful to you, and
- 27:50Speaker 2: like you're best friends with Mary in these seasons too, Like,
- 27:53Speaker 2: so I just I can't but yeah, that was the
- 27:57Speaker 2: reason why they moved to Christmas to January. Second, and
- 28:01Speaker 2: I'm just like peeved because like, this whole season and
- 28:04Speaker 2: the whole last half of last season was all about
- 28:07Speaker 2: how we have to get in before Christmas. Yes, we
- 28:10Speaker 2: have to make it before this deadline. We promised our
- 28:12Speaker 2: kids and you guys kind of get in before Christmas,
- 28:15Speaker 2: but it didn't even matter because you were postponing Christmas
- 28:18Speaker 2: anyway to January, right, Like they had sixty six gifts
- 28:22Speaker 2: for this entire family that they just kept at somebody's house, Yeah,
- 28:26Speaker 2: and waited to open until January. That's wild to me.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Yeah, but I mean this is what they do. This
- 28:32Speaker 1: is this is how they do it as well.
- 28:34Speaker 2: Yep.
- 28:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 28:35Speaker 2: And then was it on Christmas Day or before Christmas Day?
- 28:38Speaker 2: We had Saint Lucia's Day.
- 28:40Speaker 1: Oh yeah, and I forget. Maybe it is on Christmas Day.
- 28:44Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 28:44Speaker 2: It's some tradition, some Scandinavian thing that Christine likes, and
- 28:49Speaker 2: it's where all the eldest daughters loves.
- 28:51Speaker 1: Her holidays, her Joseph Weird Holidays, her Brigham Young Holidays
- 28:55Speaker 1: she loves.
- 28:57Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just an excuse for her not have to
- 28:59Speaker 2: not to have to cook breakfast. She makes the eldest
- 29:01Speaker 2: daughters cook breakfast to the whole family because it's Saint
- 29:04Speaker 2: Lucie has Dad, yes, which I mean is kind of cute.
- 29:06Speaker 2: And all of them make crapes or something. I guess
- 29:09Speaker 2: they do this every year. And this causes a little
- 29:11Speaker 2: bit of a spat between Leon and some of the
- 29:15Speaker 2: other Maddie, Yeah.
- 29:17Speaker 1: Maddie, because Leon doesn't listen to Maddie who tells them
- 29:21Speaker 1: to put like water in the pan, the pan before
- 29:25Speaker 1: the crapes. I don't know, I've never done anything like that.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Leon doesn't do that. The crapes burned. Yeah, Maddie's like
- 29:31Speaker 1: picking on them a little bit, trying to get a reaction.
- 29:35Speaker 2: I would be too.
- 29:36Speaker 1: Leon gives Maddie a reaction, Yeah, stops their cooking and
- 29:40Speaker 1: stomps out of that house never to return again.
- 29:44Speaker 2: So dramatic, but honestly, like I was that kind of.
- 29:48Speaker 1: A sibling grand drama.
- 29:49Speaker 2: I would have been like Maddie too, and it had
- 29:51Speaker 2: been like Leon, you're dumb. I literally told you over
- 29:53Speaker 2: and over again to water in the fucking pan and
- 29:56Speaker 2: you didn't do that. So yeah, I would have been bothered.
- 30:00Speaker 2: But it's stupid. Like Leon has a little spat, It
- 30:02Speaker 2: just shows further that Leon's been struggling, similar to how
- 30:07Speaker 2: a Hunter was struggling when they just moved to Last Vegas.
- 30:10Speaker 2: Like this is just showing a light into the teenagers
- 30:15Speaker 2: and how they're not taking all of this very well
- 30:17Speaker 2: at all. Nobody really cares, Like nobody's.
- 30:20Speaker 1: Kind of like uncool. Yeah, Maddie, because Maddie is in
- 30:24Speaker 1: her big home and Mattie is already established the new situation,
- 30:28Speaker 1: and Maddie is fully aware that Leon is upset they're
- 30:33Speaker 1: not in their home. Yeah, Maddie is taking advantage of
- 30:36Speaker 1: this moment to further sort of prod Leon.
- 30:39Speaker 2: It's it's not nice, Yeah, it is not nice. And
- 30:42Speaker 2: then we have the actual Christmas Day, which is not
- 30:45Speaker 2: actually Christmas Day, and we open all the gifts and
- 30:48Speaker 2: everybody's opening it all at once, and then we have
- 30:51Speaker 2: Cody opening his very special gift from Robin.
- 30:54Speaker 1: Okay, it's a Social Security card with her new name Brown.
- 30:59Speaker 2: Wow, amazing, I mean, and he.
- 31:01Speaker 1: Starts getting for clemped and tearing up. It is the
- 31:04Speaker 1: most meaningful and special present that I have ever received
- 31:08Speaker 1: on any Christmas ever. And meanwhile, your other three wives,
- 31:12Speaker 1: who also changed their last name so they could be
- 31:15Speaker 1: aligned with you, are sitting right there. But he's happy
- 31:19Speaker 1: because he wants all of his wives to share his name.
- 31:22Speaker 1: He wants all of his kids to have his name.
- 31:24Speaker 1: We're going to get there too with the adoption in
- 31:26Speaker 1: later seasons. The one thing that I thought was interesting
- 31:29Speaker 1: was that the person who seemed really happy for Cody
- 31:33Speaker 1: and Robin in the moment was Christine. Oh yeah, sitting
- 31:37Speaker 1: on the cop She's like, oh my god, yes, super
- 31:39Speaker 1: celebratory again, demonstrating that I think Christine really did try
- 31:45Speaker 1: to be a good sister wife and was trying to
- 31:47Speaker 1: be supportive of Robin. But Robin and Cody have this
- 31:50Speaker 1: special moment, and I'm snory.
- 31:53Speaker 2: It's so dumb.
- 31:54Speaker 1: I don't care.
- 31:55Speaker 2: It's so dermanic I don't care, and Cody being like
- 31:57Speaker 2: I was shocked and odd by this gift. I'm like,
- 32:00Speaker 2: it's a social Security card. Like whatever, give me.
- 32:03Speaker 1: A gift card to Starbus. It's way better than your
- 32:07Speaker 1: social Security card.
- 32:08Speaker 2: Well, and I think like in that Christmas special we
- 32:10Speaker 2: watched on Patreon, wasn't there like a Christmas where one
- 32:13Speaker 2: of the wives gives them a freaking laptop or whatever,
- 32:15Speaker 2: like they spent all this money on this stuff or
- 32:17Speaker 2: like guns.
- 32:18Speaker 1: Isn't that I wasn't mixed up, but like they went
- 32:21Speaker 1: all out for him, and he was like.
- 32:24Speaker 2: This isn't what I wanted at all. Yeah, but a
- 32:26Speaker 2: social Security card is shocked an audio?
- 32:28Speaker 1: Okay, Well, he's in love with her and that's what
- 32:31Speaker 1: it is. That's his divine soulmate.
- 32:33Speaker 2: Yea, that's what it is, and that's why it means
- 32:36Speaker 2: so much to him. And then we have Mary finally
- 32:41Speaker 2: getting a call, like on the night of Christmas, that's
- 32:44Speaker 2: not actually Christmas. She finally gets a call from Mona,
- 32:47Speaker 2: which she had been waiting for all day, and Mona's like,
- 32:51Speaker 2: you're approved, and so then they get to move into
- 32:54Speaker 2: their house and at this point, Leon's working their shift
- 32:57Speaker 2: at some smoothie king or whatever. So Leon doesn't know,
- 33:01Speaker 2: and Mary and Cody devise a plan to go to
- 33:04Speaker 2: the smoothe King to surprise Leon with their key to
- 33:06Speaker 2: the house. They had already called Leon's boss, and Leon's
- 33:10Speaker 2: boss was super supportive and came in to replace Leon.
- 33:13Speaker 2: S the way Leon could leave early and go on
- 33:16Speaker 2: unpack at their home, which I thought was really sweet.
- 33:18Speaker 1: I thought it was really sweet too. I also thought
- 33:20Speaker 1: it was awesome that the rest of the family, including Robin,
- 33:24Speaker 1: came over brought the U haul truck and immediately that night,
- 33:28Speaker 1: as soon as they got the keys, they not be
- 33:31Speaker 1: packing up that you haul. But I thought that was
- 33:33Speaker 1: great for Leon because Leon just wants to be with
- 33:35Speaker 1: the rest of the kids. Yeah, Leon wants to be
- 33:38Speaker 1: one of the kids. Yeah, Leon wants their mother to
- 33:40Speaker 1: be included with the other families and wives and so
- 33:43Speaker 1: it's a very special moment for all of them. And
- 33:45Speaker 1: so I thought it was nats they moved him into
- 33:47Speaker 1: the new home in the mid mansion and they are
- 33:50Speaker 1: all together. But my question was, and I just we
- 33:53Speaker 1: hadn't talked about it, so I just had to ask
- 33:54Speaker 1: you Sidebar, what what would have happened if Mary's alone
- 34:00Speaker 1: didn't come through. What would have happened if all three
- 34:04Speaker 1: other wives had their McMansions but Mary never got hers.
- 34:09Speaker 1: Because if you recall, they had been saying that we
- 34:13Speaker 1: want to all be together. And so if one wife
- 34:16Speaker 1: or two wives can't get in and two wives can, like,
- 34:18Speaker 1: we're not going to do it, we can't do it.
- 34:20Speaker 1: But the three other wives had already closed on these homes,
- 34:24Speaker 1: what would they have done if Mary hadn't.
- 34:26Speaker 2: I mean, that's a good point, because everybody moved in
- 34:29Speaker 2: like they didn't even care.
- 34:31Speaker 1: You're not getting them out of those homes.
- 34:33Speaker 2: Wait, no, like we're moving in today and getting our
- 34:36Speaker 2: stuff in today. So Mary was still apparently in limbo.
- 34:41Speaker 2: That's like a really good hypothetical because I feel like
- 34:43Speaker 2: Mary would have just been stuck in her rental.
- 34:45Speaker 1: She would have stayed in that rental, I guarantee.
- 34:47Speaker 2: You, and then somebody else would have bought another home
- 34:50Speaker 2: in that cul descent.
- 34:50Speaker 1: And they would have compared their polygamous compound with that rando.
- 34:54Speaker 1: They would have been happy to do that.
- 34:56Speaker 2: Oh my god, that would have been hilarious.
- 34:58Speaker 1: Yeah, and they would have made Mary feel bad, Yeah,
- 35:01Speaker 1: for complaining about it, and Mary would have probably said, Okay, well,
- 35:04Speaker 1: can we try and find a different situation. Do we
- 35:06Speaker 1: need to sell these homes and find a different piece
- 35:09Speaker 1: of land? And they would have said no, and that
- 35:11Speaker 1: would have probably precipitated Mary leaving the family for good.
- 35:15Speaker 2: I was gonna say, in an alternate universe, maybe this
- 35:17Speaker 2: is that would have been it that Mary would have left,
- 35:20Speaker 2: so the catfish wouldn't have even happened. Yes, she would
- 35:23Speaker 2: have already married off with somebody and had her beautiful
- 35:26Speaker 2: lesbian butch dream with somebody in an alternate universe.
- 35:29Speaker 1: Dare to dream, I mean, dare to dream.
- 35:32Speaker 2: I mean, if there's infinite universes and infinite possibilities.
- 35:35Speaker 1: She's already with a woman somewhere on a motorcycle in Disneyland. Yeah. Absolutely.
- 35:42Speaker 1: The other thing I wanted to talk about was on Christmas,
- 35:46Speaker 1: after everybody was opening the presents, and I think they
- 35:48Speaker 1: had like a little mission statement moment, and so Christine
- 35:50Speaker 1: was like, Okay, let's just all brainstorm what we want
- 35:53Speaker 1: to put in this mission statement, and Janelle's like, this
- 35:57Speaker 1: is the sixth circle of a Dantean Hell. I hate
- 36:00Speaker 1: it here, just like you, Christine, hate to show up
- 36:04Speaker 1: to the my sister wife closet meetings. I hate to
- 36:08Speaker 1: be in the mission statement. Can we move on with it?
- 36:10Speaker 1: So after that moment, Cody stands up and he gives
- 36:14Speaker 1: this little pastoral priestly speech about what these homes actually
- 36:18Speaker 1: signify like and everything that it actually took for them
- 36:23Speaker 1: to get to this moment. And I was just thinking
- 36:26Speaker 1: as I was watching, I'm like, you know, it's it
- 36:29Speaker 1: really is a lot because just two years previous to
- 36:32Speaker 1: the filming of this, even though we're on season six,
- 36:34Speaker 1: it's only been like a couple of years, two and
- 36:36Speaker 1: a half years.
- 36:36Speaker 2: Oh yeah, they were.
- 36:37Speaker 1: In Lehigh not living in poverty necessarily, but definitely low
- 36:43Speaker 1: income people, right of course. Yeah, And in just two
- 36:46Speaker 1: years time they are now moved into these huge asshomes. Whew,
- 36:51Speaker 1: these big fucking homes. Yeah, in Las Vegas, living the
- 36:55Speaker 1: lifestyles of the rich and famous. And so Cody's standing
- 36:58Speaker 1: up there saying like, I mean, praise God, Praise be
- 37:02Speaker 1: to colaw to the God of colab for all of
- 37:06Speaker 1: our blessings. Yeah, like, you know, you really have had
- 37:09Speaker 1: a fantastic come up.
- 37:10Speaker 2: Oh definitely, Wow, such a short period of time and
- 37:14Speaker 2: maybe that's why they were so eager and so hard
- 37:16Speaker 2: pressed on these homes because they were like the best
- 37:19Speaker 2: homes that they ever lived in at this period in
- 37:22Speaker 2: time in their life. Like I never think like ever,
- 37:25Speaker 2: I'm trying to because they were in a single wide,
- 37:27Speaker 2: they were in a single wife before leehah.
- 37:29Speaker 1: Yeah, they've never been in it since except for Cody
- 37:32Speaker 1: and Robin because Mary's got her haunted B and B
- 37:35Speaker 1: and Janelle is somewhere with her kids in North Carolina,
- 37:39Speaker 1: and maybe Christine and David Willie. But even their home
- 37:42Speaker 1: is not as maybe maybe it's I mean it's.
- 37:45Speaker 2: Nice, yeah, but it's not like it's not better than No,
- 37:49Speaker 2: that's the best that they lived, oh for sure, I
- 37:51Speaker 2: mean but maybe well Christine had her nice home in
- 37:54Speaker 2: flag Stone, it.
- 37:55Speaker 1: Was okay, is not as big, I mean, it wasn't
- 37:58Speaker 1: in Vegas, so already right, infinitely better. But I'm just saying, like,
- 38:02Speaker 1: did they ever achieve that level of like success again.
- 38:08Speaker 2: No, I don't think they mean except for Robin and
- 38:10Speaker 2: Cody with their two point one million dollars stealing all
- 38:13Speaker 2: of their money, yeah, which are stealing absolutely insane allegedly
- 38:17Speaker 2: goodness gracious, I mean they really. Like when I was
- 38:20Speaker 2: looking at the cul de Sac and looking at all
- 38:22Speaker 2: of their homes and after everybody kind of like moved
- 38:24Speaker 2: in and Leon and Mary finally got their house, I'm
- 38:27Speaker 2: like looking at this, like this really would have been
- 38:30Speaker 2: like the best arrangement for everybody. You're all in one area,
- 38:34Speaker 2: you have a gated community, it's saved most of you
- 38:37Speaker 2: guys like Vegas and steep the wall. They're up in
- 38:41Speaker 2: the backyard and the cup bound in deep.
- 38:45Speaker 1: So like it was like perfect for this, Yes.
- 38:47Speaker 2: And like you see like in some of the scenes,
- 38:49Speaker 2: like in the background, you see the kids just like
- 38:52Speaker 2: walking out the front door and like going to somebody
- 38:54Speaker 2: else's house.
- 38:55Speaker 1: And I'm like that in the evening on Christmas, they're like, Okay,
- 38:58Speaker 1: we're gonna.
- 38:58Speaker 2: Go out ball. So yeah, and like that's such a
- 39:02Speaker 2: great arrangement. And this would have been really awesome if
- 39:04Speaker 2: they just freaking stayed there. Yeah, Like moving to Flagstaff
- 39:09Speaker 2: later was just the death of the family, absolutely, and
- 39:12Speaker 2: we know that, but like it would just nail the
- 39:15Speaker 2: coffin absolutely insane to me. I think like this there
- 39:18Speaker 2: was a hope and a dream to duplicate what they
- 39:22Speaker 2: did in Vegas.
- 39:23Speaker 1: On Coyote Pass. I think, like, I think Christine bought
- 39:27Speaker 1: into that dream. I think Mary and Janelle did. I
- 39:30Speaker 1: wonder whether Cody ever did, Whether Cody and Robin ever
- 39:34Speaker 1: actually had a plan for the big home or wanting
- 39:36Speaker 1: to locate themselves onto Coyote Pass, I'm not sure, but
- 39:40Speaker 1: it's just yeah, they had the most perfect setup right
- 39:45Speaker 1: here in the Call to sac.
- 39:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 39:46Speaker 1: And as Cody's addressing his family, as corny as it is,
- 39:50Speaker 1: I mean I can feel like I feel him acknowledging
- 39:53Speaker 1: that like this is so great, like this is everything
- 39:56Speaker 1: we ever wanted, and oh my god, we're manifesting our
- 39:59Speaker 1: dreams where they architects of our future. You can just
- 40:02Speaker 1: feel the hope in him, and also a little bit
- 40:04Speaker 1: like holy crap, like how do we maintain this?
- 40:07Speaker 2: Oh?
- 40:08Speaker 1: Yeah, each home costs I don't know, four hundred and
- 40:10Speaker 1: seventy five thousand dollars as of like twenty twelve, twenty thirteen.
- 40:14Speaker 2: Well, and he even makes a comment about that at
- 40:16Speaker 2: the end. He's like, no, these mortgages are really difficult
- 40:20Speaker 2: for us to make, Like this, we're putting ourselves in
- 40:22Speaker 2: kind of like a financially tight spot, but it's worth
- 40:26Speaker 2: it to get out of the rentals, like he says that,
- 40:29Speaker 2: and I'm wondering, like is that true. I mean, it
- 40:32Speaker 2: does make sense because I think when they leave to
- 40:35Speaker 2: go to flag Staff, it's because their loan payments are
- 40:38Speaker 2: due or whatever. I think so, and they just couldn't
- 40:40Speaker 2: afford it, and that's why they had to leave, And
- 40:42Speaker 2: that would make a lot of sense. So they put
- 40:44Speaker 2: themselves at major financial risk, I think so to make
- 40:49Speaker 2: all these homes. And I mean, if you look at
- 40:50Speaker 2: it objectively, on their face, like only one person has
- 40:53Speaker 2: a freaking job, it's Janelle.
- 40:55Speaker 1: Well, they all have a job of TLC. And I
- 40:57Speaker 1: think that is truly what they're gambling on. They're gambling
- 40:59Speaker 1: on the success of this new show, which at this
- 41:02Speaker 1: point season six is wildly popular. But I think by
- 41:05Speaker 1: season eleven the ratings are starting to dip and they
- 41:08Speaker 1: have to renegotiate their contracts. So, like it really is
- 41:11Speaker 1: risky in that way. And these are big fucking mortgages,
- 41:14Speaker 1: and I think that they've got adjustable interest loans with
- 41:17Speaker 1: like a big payoff at the end, and I mean,
- 41:20Speaker 1: like there's a lot going on here, but they are
- 41:22Speaker 1: rolling the dice that they can be together and Cody
- 41:25Speaker 1: in this moment on this Christmas, which he calls the best.
- 41:29Speaker 2: The best Christmas ever that they've ever had. Social secure.
- 41:35Speaker 1: Chris, this is like he's the best one, yeah, because
- 41:38Speaker 1: they're all together in this moment and it is recreating
- 41:42Speaker 1: the vibe of Lehigh, which I do think at this
- 41:45Speaker 1: time he really wants to return to.
- 41:48Speaker 2: Definitely.
- 41:48Speaker 1: I mean, obviously, over the next few years he's going
- 41:51Speaker 1: to get away from that dream and he's not gonna
- 41:52Speaker 1: want it anymore. But like, right here, right now, that's
- 41:54Speaker 1: what it is, and they've got it. They've got it
- 41:56Speaker 1: all baby well.
- 41:57Speaker 2: And I think Janelle even says a comment too, like
- 41:59Speaker 2: this is what it feels like. Our family is starting
- 42:02Speaker 2: to feel like our family again. Like it's really nice
- 42:05Speaker 2: for us all to be under one roof if we
- 42:07Speaker 2: were in Lehigh, Like this is really great. This is
- 42:09Speaker 2: what we've been searching for this entire time in Vegas.
- 42:12Speaker 2: Like you can really feel like how terrible it's been
- 42:16Speaker 2: for them being in these rentals and being apart from
- 42:19Speaker 2: one another, Like they really put their family to the
- 42:22Speaker 2: test at this point in time. So now that they're
- 42:25Speaker 2: back in the cul de Sac, we'll start to see
- 42:28Speaker 2: how that starts to disintegrate right even further, and then
- 42:31Speaker 2: they end up just breaking that apart again and come bating.
- 42:35Speaker 1: Yeah, and now that you kind of pull away the
- 42:37Speaker 1: layers of all the things that was standing in the way,
- 42:40Speaker 1: now that you guys are where you said you want
- 42:42Speaker 1: to be, like, are you going to make this work?
- 42:45Speaker 1: Are you going to be able to have a schedule?
- 42:46Speaker 1: Are you going to be able to have a rhythm
- 42:48Speaker 1: that's healthy for everybody? The answer is no. Yeah, We're
- 42:52Speaker 1: going to be watching that in the seasons to come.
- 42:54Speaker 1: It's fantastic.
- 42:56Speaker 2: I love it, right, It's really crazy and trashy. And
- 42:59Speaker 2: then we have the you for next week's episode where
- 43:02Speaker 2: apparently they're burying a time capsule.
- 43:07Speaker 1: I remember kind of coming online with sisters and becoming
- 43:11Speaker 1: conscious like the AI around this time, and it might
- 43:15Speaker 1: have been when they were digging up the time capsule.
- 43:19Speaker 2: Do they dig it up?
- 43:20Speaker 1: I don't know, or when they were bearing the time
- 43:22Speaker 1: I don't think it was the one they were bearing
- 43:23Speaker 1: it because I don't remember the other stuff. Yeah, but
- 43:26Speaker 1: I do remember them having a time capsule and doing
- 43:28Speaker 1: the whole thing, burying it in somebody's backyard.
- 43:31Speaker 2: Well, and I was seeing that. I'm like, I wonder
- 43:32Speaker 2: if there is an episode where they unearth it. But
- 43:35Speaker 2: I'm like, that's so useless, Like you're unearthing it in
- 43:37Speaker 2: like a few four years later. Oh, that's so silly
- 43:40Speaker 2: to me. But if they didn't unearth it and they
- 43:43Speaker 2: forgot about it, I would love for some forensic raccoon
- 43:47Speaker 2: to go and find that crap on Google Earth.
- 43:49Speaker 1: That's get like an archaeological group together to dig it up. Yeah,
- 43:55Speaker 1: to just dig it up and see what they'd been doing.
- 43:57Speaker 2: How it would be see.
- 43:58Speaker 1: What they got in there.
- 44:00Speaker 2: I'd love to see it too, and keep it for
- 44:02Speaker 2: Sister Wives memorabilia. And then we have Cody digging a
- 44:08Speaker 2: hole in his backyard and asking Mary yet again about
- 44:13Speaker 2: having a baby.
- 44:15Speaker 1: And I'm going astrol and I'm leaving this how many
- 44:18Speaker 1: times and I can't be arked. She's looking at her forties.
- 44:23Speaker 2: It's so ridiculous.
- 44:24Speaker 1: We've been having this tough conversation since season one, since
- 44:29Speaker 1: season We're in season six, yeah, and I'm just like,
- 44:32Speaker 1: I can't. I mean, Mary, you are postmenopausal at this literally,
- 44:37Speaker 1: so you're not your forty three your paramount. I'm just
- 44:39Speaker 1: saying you're, oh, still, and you don't want to know,
- 44:42Speaker 1: because if you were motivated to have a child, you
- 44:44Speaker 1: would have been doing something. You would have been taking
- 44:46Speaker 1: Robin up on her dumb offer. And so I'm like,
- 44:48Speaker 1: why are we continuing to have this conversation? And my
- 44:53Speaker 1: theory is that it's just this attempt to continuously center
- 44:57Speaker 1: and platform Robin and her altruistic offer to be the surrogate.
- 45:02Speaker 1: So everybody just thinks she's so fricking great.
- 45:05Speaker 2: That would make sense, honestly, because otherwise I'm like, this
- 45:08Speaker 2: storyline is absolutely and more Bart serious Bart. And then
- 45:19Speaker 2: we have a preview of Robin giving her speech to
- 45:24Speaker 2: the kids about the biggest mistake she's ever made in
- 45:28Speaker 2: her life. And I know what this is about. It's
- 45:30Speaker 2: about her being.
- 45:31Speaker 1: A hope, really.
- 45:33Speaker 2: Yeah, and her losing her purity because she gives like
- 45:36Speaker 2: this whole speech with like a locket and she like
- 45:38Speaker 2: tells a story and she starts crying immediately, and she's
- 45:41Speaker 2: wearing a stupid like Mormons skirt and everything, and she's like,
- 45:44Speaker 2: let me tell you, I'm just crapping on Robin's Mormon skirt,
- 45:51Speaker 2: Like not Mormons and wearing skirts.
- 45:53Speaker 1: That's great, he worries Robin and her specific Mormon skirts.
- 45:58Speaker 2: Exactly because she starts crying. She's got like a locket
- 46:01Speaker 2: and she's like, let me tell you, threw him at
- 46:04Speaker 2: a girl who gave her heart and her purity to
- 46:07Speaker 2: a boy who didn't care. He threw it in the
- 46:11Speaker 2: trash and it was the biggest mistake of her life.
- 46:14Speaker 2: And all of the kids, like, I think they I
- 46:16Speaker 2: saw a clip about it a while ago. Now the
- 46:18Speaker 2: kids are just like going limp just listening to her
- 46:22Speaker 2: talk about this God. And Janelle in the background is like,
- 46:26Speaker 2: I did that. But also she did it too. She
- 46:29Speaker 2: was married before Cony. Oh yeah, so it's like, why
- 46:32Speaker 2: are we talking about Robin losing her purity?
- 46:34Speaker 1: Yeah, nobody cares. That's just a very cringe. That's super cringe,
- 46:38Speaker 1: turbo cringe. And I can't wait to get you. I'm
- 46:43Speaker 1: sure Mattie is just sitting there with that hook faces
- 46:45Speaker 1: like shut up.
- 46:47Speaker 2: Well, I'm like, is she like talking to Gleb at
- 46:49Speaker 2: this point in time too?
- 46:51Speaker 1: And some of these kids people get mad when we
- 46:54Speaker 1: bring up the fact that I think Maddie was talking
- 46:57Speaker 1: to Caleb around the time of seventeen years old. Yeah,
- 46:59Speaker 1: at Lea at least years old, and he was like,
- 47:01Speaker 1: what forty five? I know, we didn't have no hair hood. Yeah,
- 47:06Speaker 1: I mean it was weird. It was a weird time.
- 47:08Speaker 2: He was a whole ass man about she was right.
- 47:13Speaker 1: Here because that's inappropriate, but like, maybe Maddie needs to
- 47:16Speaker 1: hear this lecture more than anybody else there.
- 47:18Speaker 2: Maddie and ben Kelty, oh god, yeah.
- 47:21Speaker 1: Maybelty and her boobs and her camousles he tak top, God.
- 47:26Speaker 2: Forbid, and Logan who's probably at college and all these
- 47:29Speaker 2: frat parties swinging. Yeah, Draking is swinging it. Yes, true,
- 47:35Speaker 2: I hope.
- 47:35Speaker 1: So for him, I know, God, live your life, young man.
- 47:38Speaker 2: But anyway, so then we're gonna have to see Robin
- 47:40Speaker 2: cry about that with the locket, and I can't wait.
- 47:43Speaker 1: The locket, which is emblematic cook COOKI for fat cat.
- 47:52Speaker 1: You know she got fat cat.
- 47:53Speaker 2: Oh yeah, it's definitely fat.
- 47:54Speaker 1: It's fat nowt cat now may have been a raised
- 47:56Speaker 1: blade back. Maybe here you are you saying I'm fat, No,
- 48:00Speaker 1: because that don't make no sense that you would even
- 48:01Speaker 1: imply that you have a la because you're not fat.
- 48:04Speaker 2: No, what a fat cat is?
- 48:06Speaker 1: No, it could be very thin and beautiful in everything
- 48:08Speaker 1: and have the big old fat cat. That's right, I
- 48:12Speaker 1: know it could be a big old yeah thickms.
- 48:16Speaker 2: With a little raised blade.
- 48:17Speaker 1: I mean not much, you can't. I mean that does
- 48:20Speaker 1: look for an area to distribute itself into. But like
- 48:23Speaker 1: it is possible to have just a.
- 48:24Speaker 2: Raise hers evolved.
- 48:27Speaker 1: Yeah, she's rocking without it is time to go. We
- 48:33Speaker 1: gotta go.
- 48:33Speaker 2: Yeah, we got it was too much.
- 48:35Speaker 1: Well, is there anything else that we need to say
- 48:38Speaker 1: to these beautiful raccoons before we'll get aboard out of
- 48:40Speaker 1: your buldul.

- 48:59Speaker 1: us know, and no.
- 49:00Speaker 2: Shame, no game.
- 49:01Speaker 1: Everybody's got fat cat, sure, or a noodle or a
- 49:04Speaker 1: bald ego or whatever. Bald eagle.
- 49:06Speaker 2: Yeah. Somebody commented on our YouTube a while ago saying
- 49:09Speaker 2: that they don't have either one of those. I got
- 49:10Speaker 2: a bald eagle.
- 49:11Speaker 1: What's that? Did you look at it?
- 49:13Speaker 2: Did you google? You know what?
- 49:16Speaker 1: Eagle on a fat cat or confused? I gotta do
- 49:20Speaker 1: some research. Now we will be back. Are we going
- 49:23Speaker 1: to be back later this week? I don't know.
- 49:25Speaker 2: No, So your second time recording this.
- 49:28Speaker 1: We are having mercury gatorade problem again and it's late,
- 49:32Speaker 1: very unhappy about it.
- 49:33Speaker 2: It's late. She gotta go to them's tired. She's tired,
- 49:36Speaker 2: gen X. Yeah, huh.
- 49:39Speaker 1: So we were going to record all of our answers
- 49:42Speaker 1: to your speak pipes, but we're gonna do that next week.

- 50:02Speaker 1: for you and peace and like you that
