- 0:53Speaker 5: and everything's.
- 0:54Speaker 4: Just working for you today.
- 0:55Speaker 2: I think it's my ear.
- 0:57Speaker 6: Yes, your ears have never looked better, really, my ear?
- 1:01Speaker 2: My ear?
- 1:02Speaker 6: Oh my ears? Are you okay?
- 1:09Speaker 3: Why? But how would that make sense? Yeah, it's I
- 1:11Speaker 3: think it's my ear.
- 1:14Speaker 7: I thought that you felt like you're feeling your ears
- 1:16Speaker 7: like maybe you just like, you know, trim them or something.
- 1:18Speaker 4: What did he say?
- 1:19Speaker 6: He said, it's to.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Be my year, and I'm going to meet up this year.
- 1:25Speaker 6: You're going to boo up whatever.
- 1:27Speaker 3: It is that you say, it's probably because all y'all done,
- 1:30Speaker 3: y'all's thing. It's got to be my ear. Sorry, Mikayla,
- 1:32Speaker 3: I'm gonna make this my ear.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Nice.
- 1:34Speaker 2: You got plenty of time.
- 1:35Speaker 3: I'm running out perfect uh anyway, all right, so let's
- 1:39Speaker 3: get into it. It is a free gas Friday. Very
- 1:41Speaker 3: excited about that. Got your free gas. Also, Madison Beer
- 1:44Speaker 3: is coming by. Can I play a little clip? Here's Bittersweet?
- 1:47Speaker 2: Yes, I see she started. I think she signed the
- 1:50Speaker 2: label deal when she was twelve thirteen years old, very young. Bittersweet.
- 1:55Speaker 2: So big track right now, tour album. We'll talk to he.
- 1:58Speaker 2: She'll be here in studio after eight o'clock. Let's pay
- 2:02Speaker 2: a bill.
- 2:02Speaker 8: Max.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Good morning. It's kiss, It's kiss, half amma. Wow.
- 2:06Speaker 3: Do you wake up in the morning and you watch
- 2:08Speaker 3: the national weather news and think to yourself, man, oh
- 2:13Speaker 3: that is it's rough, it's cold, it's windy, it's brutal,
- 2:18Speaker 3: But yet for you it's not. Maybe you're from one
- 2:21Speaker 3: of those places and you think to yourself, what a move.
- 2:24Speaker 3: What a great idea was to move out to southern California.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Today in La, it's gonna be partly Claudie High's in
- 2:29Speaker 3: the mid sixties, Riverside, same thing, mal Laboo sixty four,
- 2:33Speaker 3: take it to Encino over sixty Anna sixty five and
- 2:37Speaker 3: that what to me would I would consider cold sixty
- 2:40Speaker 3: what five?
- 2:41Speaker 9: Right?
- 2:41Speaker 7: Like today?
- 2:42Speaker 6: Like I feel like, ooh, it'd be cold today.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Guys like you can't that's the worst.
- 2:47Speaker 3: You can't say that until you live through the winds
- 2:49Speaker 3: of somebody else other cities. Walk around today in LA
- 2:54Speaker 3: and your short sleeves. A guy I know named Jason
- 2:57Speaker 3: with the y going on a ten mile hike today?
- 3:01Speaker 1: Nice?
- 3:02Speaker 2: Yeah, great? I mean when I start thinking what a
- 3:05Speaker 2: good life that is?
- 3:06Speaker 3: You're going a ten mile hike on a Friday, start
- 3:08Speaker 3: the weekend early, get out there, I said, where are going?
- 3:10Speaker 2: Because I don't know, Buddy, Mine's gonna take me to
- 3:12Speaker 2: Loke in YadA.
- 3:12Speaker 3: We're gonna walk the hike kills And I said it miles.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Then I started thinking, is if five out and five back,
- 3:18Speaker 3: is there a circle? Like yeah, I mean I don't
- 3:21Speaker 3: want to do finish. I don't want to do five
- 3:23Speaker 3: and then the same five back. I want a circle
- 3:25Speaker 3: of ten. Right anyway, today's high in North Dakota it
- 3:29Speaker 3: is minus twelve. It's mind boggling. Minus twelve is the high.
- 3:33Speaker 3: Currently it's minus twenty three and it feels like minus
- 3:35Speaker 3: forty five. I don't even understand how that you go
- 3:38Speaker 3: out in that. You cannot feel that on your like miserable, miserable.
- 3:44Speaker 7: Three socks like I don't layers and layers and layers.
- 3:49Speaker 3: There's not enough layers that could make that comfortable at all.
- 3:53Speaker 10: Yes, mar I grew up in Wisconsin and we had
- 3:57Speaker 10: a minus twenty stretch and they're on the radio. I
- 3:59Speaker 10: was one of the people on the radio saying, do
- 4:00Speaker 10: not go outside because your skin will freeze.
- 4:03Speaker 2: And what does that even mean?
- 4:04Speaker 10: You can get frostbite and that could linger the rest
- 4:06Speaker 10: of your life, like it would get sore every time.
- 4:09Speaker 3: So just like you throw some in the freezer, it
- 4:11Speaker 3: stays permanently that way.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Like that's not well, why did you leave Mark? That
- 4:17Speaker 2: was a big factor. I'll tell you what. Why did
- 4:20Speaker 2: you come out to kiss? Fml? Or will not start
- 4:22Speaker 2: in that weather? Yeah? Well neither will wait, yeah we're
- 4:25Speaker 2: not starting either. Did you have to go work. Yes,
- 4:28Speaker 2: oh miss they miss you got to go in and
- 4:32Speaker 2: talk about it.
- 4:32Speaker 3: You got to go in and talk about it during it,
- 4:34Speaker 3: while it was happening.
- 4:36Speaker 2: You are welcome for this land called kiss up m
- 4:39Speaker 2: l A.
- 4:40Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Oh wow, what a breeze it is here after all
- 4:44Speaker 2: of that. Oh yeah, it's kiss Yeah.
- 4:47Speaker 3: I have those moments where you have a nickel egg
- 4:49Speaker 3: on your face.
- 4:50Speaker 2: You don't get egg on your face. It's a moment where.
- 4:52Speaker 3: You you ask somebody something and they don't answer you back,
- 4:56Speaker 3: or it's a form of rejection in a way. Actually,
- 4:59Speaker 3: I went to extend my hand to shake my hand
- 5:01Speaker 3: to somebody just yesterday, and they didn't see it, and
- 5:04Speaker 3: so I tried to slowly casually bring it back down
- 5:08Speaker 3: to my hip pocket as if I didn't extend it.
- 5:11Speaker 3: But third party people saw me extend it knew that
- 5:13Speaker 3: I was blown off. Now, they didn't bring it up
- 5:14Speaker 3: and make it awkward. I didn't bring it up and
- 5:16Speaker 3: make it awkward, but we all knew it happened. Bekayla,
- 5:19Speaker 3: This is what you can relate to, right, this just
- 5:22Speaker 3: happened to you. What was the moment you had egg?
- 5:25Speaker 3: The expression egg on your face?
- 5:26Speaker 2: What happened.
- 5:27Speaker 11: So I was at a friend's birthday party, and so
- 5:29Speaker 11: we had a lot of mutual friends there, and he
- 5:32Speaker 11: waved at me, or so I thought, and I waved back,
- 5:36Speaker 11: and he was waving at the person that was next
- 5:38Speaker 11: to me, And I was so embarrassed because he walked
- 5:40Speaker 11: over and he walked over to the other person.
- 5:43Speaker 10: Oh no, you know.
- 5:46Speaker 3: What it says about you, is your polite person waving
- 5:49Speaker 3: to strangers.
- 5:50Speaker 2: So at the end of the day, you're a good person.
- 5:52Speaker 3: How about you at the restaurant and they say, enjoy
- 5:55Speaker 3: your meal before they.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Can finish, you go YouTube. Yeah, you know what I mean.
- 6:01Speaker 3: Have a nice day, you too. Anyway, it's egg on
- 6:04Speaker 3: our face. We've all had it happen. But it says
- 6:05Speaker 3: you're a good person. You're polite, you're courteous. You don't
- 6:08Speaker 3: what You went out of your way not to have
- 6:10Speaker 3: that person feel bad.
- 6:11Speaker 2: You didn't know who they were waving to.
- 6:12Speaker 3: You, that's true, but out of being kind and generous,
- 6:15Speaker 3: you waved back and they.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Didn't care at it.
- 6:19Speaker 4: Thank you?
- 6:20Speaker 2: All right?
- 6:20Speaker 3: There are some if you're getting your dating profile in order,
- 6:24Speaker 3: there are some things you should hear about this morning.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Next to kiss.
- 6:29Speaker 3: If you're on dating apps, these are things to avoid
- 6:33Speaker 3: in your dating profile.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Don't do it.
- 6:36Speaker 3: No one's saying you can't express these things, but finding
- 6:38Speaker 3: a way to explain it creatively is better.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Than putting in your profile.
- 6:43Speaker 8: Uh.
- 6:43Speaker 3: I mean when people say in their dating profile, M
- 6:45Speaker 3: kill you. You've seen many of these, like I love
- 6:47Speaker 3: to laugh? Well, no kidding, like everyone loves to laugh.
- 6:50Speaker 3: That doesn't tell me anything about you. It's not revealing,
- 6:53Speaker 3: it's not nuanced.
- 6:55Speaker 6: What if some people don't love to laugh?
- 6:56Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't think everybody. Not everybody loves to laugh.
- 6:59Speaker 2: Well, then you don't want to date them.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Tom doesn't laugh a lot.
- 7:04Speaker 3: But I do want to date it. He ended up
- 7:05Speaker 3: with the jiu jitsu partner. They don't laugh, aid do yo?
- 7:09Speaker 12: Hey?
- 7:09Speaker 3: Don't you all right now? In the profile it says
- 7:12Speaker 3: work hard, play harder. Come on, do better than that?
- 7:17Speaker 6: Work hard? I play hard to the point.
- 7:19Speaker 3: Here's the one that I like. But I get it.
- 7:21Speaker 3: I love traveling. Oh my gosh, all I know we
- 7:25Speaker 3: all love traveling, but for some reason, it still like
- 7:27Speaker 3: it still strikes.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Me, like, really you two? Do you like that too?
- 7:32Speaker 3: I want we're one of each other anyway, Those are
- 7:35Speaker 3: three things to avoid your data profile. Today's called each
- 7:37Speaker 3: Sunrise brings a new page in the story of life.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Waiting to be written.
- 7:45Speaker 3: Is going to do the headlines here. Here's the way
- 7:47Speaker 3: it looks right now, rolling up on seven o'clock. We'll
- 7:50Speaker 3: do the headlines, get a check on traffic and weather,
- 7:53Speaker 3: play aperture, and then the conversation, the exclusive conversation, the
- 7:58Speaker 3: only iHeart conversation that Iry Style has had with anybody,
- 8:01Speaker 3: with Sysney and Tanya. They spoke with him yesterday to
- 8:04Speaker 3: cover all kinds of stuff that we've been curious about
- 8:07Speaker 3: with this new music. That is the next thing we're
- 8:10Speaker 3: going to do you too, First, Sisney with the headline
- 8:12Speaker 3: with this FM headlines with Sysney.
- 8:15Speaker 7: Well emergency cruise took two people to the hospital after
- 8:19Speaker 7: a Tesla driver slammed into a home, as happened in
- 8:22Speaker 7: Pacoima earlier this morning. In and out, Burger ranked number
- 8:26Speaker 7: two on Glassdoor's annual Best places to Work list, beating
- 8:30Speaker 7: out Google and Apple and coming in just behind Crew
- 8:35Speaker 7: car Wash in Indiana. TikTok says it set up a
- 8:39Speaker 7: new US based company, avoiding the long threatening band here
- 8:44Speaker 7: in United States and Harry.
- 8:47Speaker 6: Styles as we were talking about it.
- 8:48Speaker 7: Yeah, well, announced dates for his highly anticipated Together Together tour.
- 8:52Speaker 7: The only US shows announced so far are thirty dates
- 8:56Speaker 7: at Madison Square Garden in New York. And we will
- 8:58Speaker 7: ask Harry about this in our interview that begins in
- 9:01Speaker 7: just a few moments.
- 9:03Speaker 3: So let's get to it. This is very exciting. Harry
- 9:05Speaker 3: Styles rocked at the planet when he announced his new
- 9:09Speaker 3: music Coming your Way. Sistany and Tanya, they jumped on
- 9:13Speaker 3: with Harry Styles yesterday, handpicked to chat with him. So
- 9:17Speaker 3: let's talk about it. Well, what should we know?
- 9:20Speaker 7: All the things we went deep into the album, the
- 9:24Speaker 7: process of how he got the ideas, all of it.
- 9:27Speaker 2: Okay, so here's a little chat with Harry Styles and
- 9:29Speaker 2: Sistany Antanya.
- 9:30Speaker 7: It is one O two point seven Kiss all the Time,
- 9:33Speaker 7: Disco occasionally FM. It's Sisiny Antonia and we are here
- 9:38Speaker 7: with the one and only Harry Style.
- 9:42Speaker 8: Thank you, thank you very much. Is that an official
- 9:45Speaker 8: name change?
- 9:47Speaker 7: Yes, actually we have been officially changed to the number
- 9:50Speaker 7: one Harry Styles Station All Day.
- 9:53Speaker 6: We love your single. Congratulations on, thank you so much
- 9:57Speaker 6: on coming back because we missed you. It's in four years,
- 10:01Speaker 6: Oh my goodness.
- 10:03Speaker 7: First and foremost, how are you doing, Like, what have
- 10:06Speaker 7: you been doing?
- 10:07Speaker 8: I'm doing great. Actually, yeah, I feel I feel really
- 10:13Speaker 8: excited that it's it's kind of time to be to
- 10:18Speaker 8: be putting it out. Yeah, it's I've been really excited
- 10:23Speaker 8: about the music since I finished the album, and I'm
- 10:26Speaker 8: kind of coming to this at like, I think, the
- 10:29Speaker 8: best place in my life, I think. So I feel
- 10:33Speaker 8: kind of like ready to do it and ready to
- 10:36Speaker 8: put it out. I'm like excited to share it with everyone.
- 10:39Speaker 8: So yeah, I'm excited.
- 10:43Speaker 7: You got You've got some well deserved time off. Saw
- 10:46Speaker 7: you doing a couple of marathons, which with incredible times
- 10:49Speaker 7: by the way, so that was crazy. Did you get
- 10:53Speaker 7: some sort of bat signal? Did you feel like this
- 10:56Speaker 7: was the moment? Like when did that sink in?
- 11:00Speaker 2: Well?
- 11:00Speaker 8: I finished. I finished the album in the summer, at
- 11:04Speaker 8: the end of last summer, and and then I kind
- 11:09Speaker 8: of was just, you know, once I had finished, it
- 11:12Speaker 8: was kind of like mentally going, Okay, what might this
- 11:16Speaker 8: feel like to put it out? So I was kind
- 11:19Speaker 8: of like slowly getting kind of ready for that, I think,
- 11:22Speaker 8: And and honestly, the last I think the last like
- 11:27Speaker 8: two years in particular of my life has been a
- 11:30Speaker 8: lot about being on the other side of the audience experience.
- 11:35Speaker 8: I think like so many of my so many years
- 11:40Speaker 8: of my life has been spent touring, where it's been
- 11:44Speaker 8: like me on a stage, and I think the last
- 11:48Speaker 8: couple of years I had a really nice opportunity to
- 11:51Speaker 8: be like a true audience member and kind of remind
- 11:55Speaker 8: myself like how special it is to be experiencing live
- 12:00Speaker 8: music with strangers and dancing and singing with them, and
- 12:04Speaker 8: like what that feeling is about. And I think for
- 12:08Speaker 8: me wanting to play the music and feeling ready to
- 12:12Speaker 8: do that, like I'm ready to play this in a
- 12:15Speaker 8: room and play it loud and dance with people, that
- 12:18Speaker 8: kind of was the capitalist to say, like, Okay, I'm
- 12:21Speaker 8: ready to start like thinking about putting this out into
- 12:26Speaker 8: the world.
- 12:27Speaker 5: I feel like between the obviously the disco ball on
- 12:30Speaker 5: the cover operature being the lead single, there's a theme
- 12:33Speaker 5: of light, which is so beautiful and I feel like
- 12:37Speaker 5: so needed right now.
- 12:39Speaker 6: Why is that?
- 12:39Speaker 4: Why did you choose light as a theme?
- 12:43Speaker 2: I think a.
- 12:43Speaker 8: Lot of it, you know, for me personally taking a
- 12:48Speaker 8: break from a lot of work stuff the last couple
- 12:50Speaker 8: of years, I think between working and then touring, and
- 12:57Speaker 8: also you know, I started the tour the Last Talk
- 13:02Speaker 8: kind of coming out of COVID, and then that all
- 13:07Speaker 8: kind of kept going. So I kind of remained in
- 13:13Speaker 8: kind of a bubble of sorts for quite a long time,
- 13:17Speaker 8: and I think as I felt my life beginning to
- 13:21Speaker 8: get more isolated, I think I just took a moment
- 13:28Speaker 8: to kind of try and reset that and say, you know,
- 13:31Speaker 8: when you're closing off to a lot of things, you're
- 13:35Speaker 8: also like shutting out a lot of the positive things
- 13:38Speaker 8: that can come into your life. So to me, the
- 13:42Speaker 8: first song and a lot of the album in general,
- 13:45Speaker 8: but Aperture in particular. The reason why it's called aperture
- 13:49Speaker 8: is like you control like how much light you let
- 13:53Speaker 8: into your life. And I think the start of this year,
- 13:58Speaker 8: I kind of just decided I was going to say
- 14:00Speaker 8: yes to everything. And the momentum of that has just
- 14:03Speaker 8: brought like so many positive things in a lot of
- 14:08Speaker 8: different ways into my life, and it's been a really
- 14:10Speaker 8: beautiful time in my life for that. So that's that's
- 14:16Speaker 8: kind of, you know, why this song was the one
- 14:20Speaker 8: that I wanted to start with because it was a
- 14:21Speaker 8: big time of change for me and I think also
- 14:28Speaker 8: just when I would play people the music, it was
- 14:30Speaker 8: always the song that I played first. It was like this,
- 14:33Speaker 8: I think represents It's perfect.
- 14:35Speaker 1: It's so perfect I want.
- 14:36Speaker 8: To do and what I want to say and where
- 14:40Speaker 8: I'm at in my life. And I think there's nothing
- 14:44Speaker 8: more fulfilling, I think as a musician than putting out
- 14:48Speaker 8: a song that you feel like represents where you're at
- 14:52Speaker 8: in your life. I think sometimes you know, you write
- 14:55Speaker 8: a song and by the time it comes out, you've
- 14:58Speaker 8: kind of been through it by of things, and you're
- 15:01Speaker 8: not really kind of aligned with necessarily what is happening
- 15:06Speaker 8: in the song. And I think I really felt it
- 15:08Speaker 8: when we put as it was at where I felt like, oh,
- 15:11Speaker 8: I feel like this really represents where I'm at in
- 15:13Speaker 8: this moment, and that felt really fulfilling. So I think
- 15:17Speaker 8: kind of I wanted to do that again this time,
- 15:19Speaker 8: and and just I feel great about like pressing play
- 15:25Speaker 8: and going like I want to play something. And that's
- 15:29Speaker 8: kind of why I ended up being the first first song.
- 15:32Speaker 2: I get it.
- 15:32Speaker 3: You press play on that and it sets the mood.
- 15:34Speaker 3: It sets the tone, all right. So Tanya and Sicani
- 15:38Speaker 3: here they hung out with Harry Styles. Well, they chat
- 15:40Speaker 3: with Harry Styles about all this new stuff. The first
- 15:42Speaker 3: conversation I've heard about any of this. So let's come
- 15:46Speaker 3: back a very Every Friday is special. Today a very
- 15:51Speaker 3: special Friday. So cisany and Tania just chatted with Harry Styles.
- 15:54Speaker 3: This was yesterday, right, that's right. What about the lyrics.
- 15:57Speaker 3: Let's hear about the lyrics. Okay, we' do next.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll dive into that right here.
- 16:03Speaker 7: Abertard, to me, it was a word that I had
- 16:05Speaker 7: never set up until maybe three days ago.
- 16:07Speaker 4: Yeah, same, was that a word that.
- 16:08Speaker 6: Was in your vocabulary at all times? Like, is that
- 16:11Speaker 6: something that you always used?
- 16:14Speaker 8: I mean, I don't know that I used it a ton,
- 16:17Speaker 8: but I've been around enough photographers. Okay, I heard it
- 16:21Speaker 8: a couple of times. But yeah, it was. Uh, it
- 16:26Speaker 8: was kind of like used in the song as the
- 16:29Speaker 8: lyric and then decided to and then it was like, oh,
- 16:32Speaker 8: this is a perfect title for this song, and it
- 16:35Speaker 8: was it's track one. So it felt like a perfect
- 16:37Speaker 8: beginning to the album. The idea of opening up and
- 16:41Speaker 8: going to this kind of new phase and stuff.
- 16:44Speaker 6: It feels like a journey.
- 16:45Speaker 7: The song, it has like a whole beginning middle, and
- 16:48Speaker 7: it's like it's it's incredible.
- 16:50Speaker 4: Speaking of lyrics.
- 16:51Speaker 5: Speaking of lyrics, I you are so thoughtful and intentional
- 16:55Speaker 5: with your lyrics. I know that you put so much
- 16:58Speaker 5: thought into all of this. And the thing that's so
- 17:01Speaker 5: beautiful is art and music that you make. It's so personal,
- 17:05Speaker 5: but it's also so universal. And there's a line in
- 17:08Speaker 5: particular you say, I want to know what's safe is
- 17:11Speaker 5: And I think every human being craves safety, and so
- 17:14Speaker 5: I wanted to know what that lyric means for you
- 17:16Speaker 5: in your life.
- 17:18Speaker 8: Yeah, I think I think really like it kind of
- 17:24Speaker 8: comes back to the opening up as well. I think
- 17:26Speaker 8: really everyone wants to feel safe. That's like all anybody
- 17:31Speaker 8: really wants. Relationships in your life or in the spaces
- 17:36Speaker 8: that you occupy or when you're at home, you want
- 17:39Speaker 8: to feel safe, like all, you know, all of those
- 17:42Speaker 8: things that I think sounds so simple, but I think
- 17:46Speaker 8: when you're closed off in certain ways, then it's harder
- 17:52Speaker 8: to feel like known, and therefore harder to feel accepted,
- 17:55Speaker 8: and therefore harder to feel safe. So I think for me,
- 18:00Speaker 8: I've found the more like vulnerable I've ever been with people,
- 18:07Speaker 8: the safer I end up feeling, even if it's like
- 18:10Speaker 8: scary in the moment, it's beautiful. It's a real like
- 18:14Speaker 8: to me, it's just yeah, I think I think lyrically
- 18:19Speaker 8: and stuff, and just with with the album in general,
- 18:23Speaker 8: I think a lot of the time, it's kind of
- 18:26Speaker 8: like with the listener, it's like, Okay, take my hand,
- 18:30Speaker 8: I'm going to tell you all about my experiences. And
- 18:34Speaker 8: what I hope for this album is is like I'm
- 18:38Speaker 8: encouraging you to have your own experiences and I'm kind
- 18:41Speaker 8: of going having these experiences is amazing. You should go
- 18:45Speaker 8: do that as well, and I'm going to like be
- 18:48Speaker 8: here with you kind of making the music for you
- 18:52Speaker 8: to have experiences. But I feel like it's a lot
- 18:56Speaker 8: less about like here's exactly what I did in my life.
- 18:59Speaker 8: This is like a what's happening in my life and
- 19:02Speaker 8: more like the kind of a commentary on like the
- 19:07Speaker 8: joy that I found by experiencing different things, and therefore
- 19:11Speaker 8: I think it would be a positive thing for you
- 19:14Speaker 8: to go do that as well. You know.
- 19:15Speaker 4: Beautiful.
- 19:16Speaker 3: Harry Styles one of two point seven KISSFM. He picked
- 19:19Speaker 3: Systey and twenty to have this chat. We're gonna play
- 19:22Speaker 3: aperture again and you guys will chat with him about
- 19:25Speaker 3: that the tour. All we see now is thirty nights.
- 19:29Speaker 3: I mean that's what's published thirty nights in New York.
- 19:32Speaker 3: So we will let it all unfold. One a two
- 19:35Speaker 3: point seven KISSFM new music this morning from Harry Styles.
- 19:41Speaker 2: It is called Aperture. Now.
- 19:43Speaker 3: I think you talk a little fashion here for the tour, right,
- 19:45Speaker 3: Sisney and Tanya?
- 19:46Speaker 7: Yeah, we did, and we talked about his process of
- 19:49Speaker 7: making music, you know, his tour, and of course, yeah,
- 19:52Speaker 7: how should we dress for the concerts?
- 19:54Speaker 2: Here's what he said.
- 19:55Speaker 8: I think this is the most open I've felt with
- 19:59Speaker 8: the music make process as well. I think before I
- 20:03Speaker 8: was more guarded. I think when I was making the
- 20:06Speaker 8: last couple of records around who was hearing it until
- 20:09Speaker 8: it was finished and stuff? And I think with this one,
- 20:12Speaker 8: I was much more open about playing demos to friends
- 20:16Speaker 8: and like just playing it, and it became really obvious
- 20:20Speaker 8: that it was music that was meant to be played
- 20:22Speaker 8: and played loud. So I think everyone's different. The experience
- 20:27Speaker 8: is the way that they like to experience music. Like
- 20:30Speaker 8: I love listening to it alone in my car, I
- 20:32Speaker 8: love listening to music with friends, And I think the
- 20:35Speaker 8: album is. You can have very different kind of journeys
- 20:40Speaker 8: with it depending on how you listen to it. I
- 20:42Speaker 8: love listening to it like sitting still in headphones and
- 20:47Speaker 8: listening to it that way. I love listening to it driving.
- 20:50Speaker 8: I love being with friends. So I hope that everyone
- 20:55Speaker 8: will have like several different experiences with it, you know.
- 21:00Speaker 6: Uh, the vinyl. So I'm excited to listen to.
- 21:02Speaker 9: It that way.
- 21:03Speaker 8: I appreciate that.
- 21:04Speaker 4: I'm looking forward to listening to it live.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Yeah, you on.
- 21:09Speaker 5: Tour because yeah, that's right, of course, obviously, of course
- 21:16Speaker 5: there's no chance.
- 21:17Speaker 4: And we're so so excited about the tour.
- 21:20Speaker 7: Yeah, so thirty nights at Madison Square Garden in New York.
- 21:23Speaker 1: That is incredible.
- 21:26Speaker 6: I do have to ask, though, are you coming to
- 21:28Speaker 6: Los Angeles?
- 21:29Speaker 8: Like why, we'll see?
- 21:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I like it.
- 21:33Speaker 1: We'll see, I'll take it.
- 21:34Speaker 4: We'll see, we see And Harry.
- 21:36Speaker 7: Harry styles, what is the dress code for us to
- 21:39Speaker 7: all attend this?
- 21:41Speaker 2: I want you to go, well, I.
- 21:46Speaker 13: Say, is like comfy shoes, yes, yes, speaking the language,
- 21:53Speaker 13: dance you know, yes, that's that's it.
- 21:57Speaker 8: We'll like be in it together though, we'll be dancing always.
- 22:02Speaker 6: I cannot wait that's the plan.
- 22:04Speaker 4: So thank you so much for yes the time.
- 22:08Speaker 8: So much this morning. Appreciate it.
- 22:11Speaker 5: It's been so long and we are so happy to
- 22:14Speaker 5: have you back. It's like you knew we were in
- 22:15Speaker 5: a drought and we needed, Yes, we needed the water
- 22:17Speaker 5: from you. You knew it's been raining, and you brought
- 22:19Speaker 5: the sunshine.
- 22:20Speaker 7: Came back when we needed you the most in this
- 22:23Speaker 7: world that we're all living in. So thank you, Harry Styles.
- 22:27Speaker 7: Yes we belong together.
- 22:34Speaker 6: Thank you, thank you, thank you.
- 22:36Speaker 7: Abercher is out now. Harry styles new album Kiss All
- 22:39Speaker 7: the Time Disco Occasionally is out March sixth.
- 22:41Speaker 3: We love you so much, La Harry Styles, Sis Antanya
- 22:46Speaker 3: amazing the first I have heard anything from Harry Styles
- 22:49Speaker 3: about all of this new music. You guys crushed it
- 22:53Speaker 3: as always if you missed any of the chat, he
- 22:56Speaker 3: revealed so much that just been wondering about first conversation.
- 23:01Speaker 3: It's gonna be up on our podcast feed very very soon.
- 23:06Speaker 2: On air with Ryan Seacrest.
- 23:12Speaker 3: Very exciting global superstar is here, Madison Beer going.
- 23:18Speaker 1: Good morning.
- 23:20Speaker 2: Thanks great to have you with.
- 23:22Speaker 3: Us in the studio and congratulations on so many things
- 23:25Speaker 3: that are going on.
- 23:26Speaker 2: I don't know where to start.
- 23:27Speaker 3: Let's start by I guess saying that your new album
- 23:31Speaker 3: Market is out now, and we're gonna play a bittersweet
- 23:34Speaker 3: here in a second. You've been working for a long time.
- 23:37Speaker 3: This is not something that's happened overnight for You've been
- 23:39Speaker 3: working hard. What has been different or felt different for
- 23:44Speaker 3: you this time? As it all seems to be settling
- 23:47Speaker 3: in a really big and you said therapeutic.
- 23:49Speaker 12: Way too, Yeah, well, thank you. I mean, it's really
- 23:52Speaker 12: an exciting time for me. I think, you know, I,
- 23:55Speaker 12: like you said, I've been doing this for a long time.
- 23:56Speaker 12: For people who don't know, I got time when I
- 23:57Speaker 12: was twelve and I'm twenty six.
- 23:59Speaker 1: Now it's been a while.
- 24:01Speaker 12: Yeah, it has not been overnight, and I think that
- 24:03Speaker 12: that's honestly been such an amazing blessing in disguise. And
- 24:06Speaker 12: I think that it's given me a really great perspective
- 24:09Speaker 12: and also appreciation for all of this stuff, and has
- 24:12Speaker 12: also given me the opportunity to really grow my fan base,
- 24:15Speaker 12: my community, and it feels like they're all on this
- 24:17Speaker 12: journey with me. So it is really therapeutic and it's
- 24:19Speaker 12: something I feel like I can enjoy even more so
- 24:22Speaker 12: now than I would have, you know, maybe ten years ago.
- 24:24Speaker 3: But you know when it's in your DNA and you
- 24:27Speaker 3: know you can do it and you know you've got
- 24:28Speaker 3: it as you're growing up. I mean twelve is very young,
- 24:30Speaker 3: but like eighteen, nineteen twenty, you know you've got it.
- 24:32Speaker 3: You know you can do it, you visualize it. It
- 24:35Speaker 3: can be frustrating and it's it's hard to say that
- 24:39Speaker 3: then you look back in hindsight and say it was
- 24:41Speaker 3: a blessing, right, Yeah, well, once you get there, it
- 24:43Speaker 3: really is totally Yeah.
- 24:45Speaker 12: I mean I was dropped from my record label when
- 24:46Speaker 12: I was sixteen, and so it was something that I
- 24:48Speaker 12: kind of had to pick myself up and be like, wait,
- 24:51Speaker 12: am I not going to ever succeed and do all
- 24:53Speaker 12: these things? And I think, like I said, it definitely
- 24:55Speaker 12: reframed my perspective and also kind of reframed what I
- 24:58Speaker 12: think success is. And I think that that' it's a
- 25:00Speaker 12: really exciting thing because now I can enjoy, you know,
- 25:03Speaker 12: talking to you and being at these stations and having
- 25:05Speaker 12: people you know, it feels like kind of pay attention now.
- 25:08Speaker 12: But I think I'm the most grateful for like my
- 25:10Speaker 12: fans and the people who have really stuck with me through.
- 25:12Speaker 2: It all, so it's for all of it.
- 25:13Speaker 1: It makes it better, it makes it more fun.
- 25:15Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, let's talk about the concept locket. From what
- 25:19Speaker 3: I read and understand, you thought about this as the
- 25:22Speaker 3: lens through which to look for the album first.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, And what was the idea behind.
- 25:29Speaker 3: It when you first started to think about it being
- 25:31Speaker 3: locket the album?
- 25:32Speaker 1: Honestly, it was just a word.
- 25:34Speaker 12: It sounds stupid, but I really just liked that word,
- 25:37Speaker 12: and I thought it just kind of embodied. It felt feminine,
- 25:40Speaker 12: it felt vintage, It felt like something that obviously is metaphorical,
- 25:44Speaker 12: like you can hold memories in it or keepsakes. And
- 25:47Speaker 12: then that kind of just snowballed into what I felt
- 25:50Speaker 12: like the album was about. But it wasn't like I
- 25:51Speaker 12: went into it with this concept and I was like, Oh,
- 25:54Speaker 12: I'm going to write things that are memories that fit
- 25:56Speaker 12: in my locket. I kind of just loved the word,
- 25:58Speaker 12: and then it just all developed notly, and it also
- 26:02Speaker 12: kind of made sense for me because I feel like
- 26:03Speaker 12: I've spoken about albums and cycles and eras and whatnot,
- 26:06Speaker 12: and sometimes it feels like you release something and then
- 26:11Speaker 12: you kind of put it on a shelf and you
- 26:13Speaker 12: move on from it, but it always is part of
- 26:14Speaker 12: you and exists. And so I feel like a lockett
- 26:16Speaker 12: is that literal item that now I can keep my
- 26:19Speaker 12: past albums in my experiences and also this this new project.
- 26:23Speaker 12: So yeah, honestly it was just a word, though it
- 26:26Speaker 12: wasn't really it wasn't really a concept, and then it
- 26:27Speaker 12: just all I feel like, hopefully makes sense upon the.
- 26:31Speaker 2: Each song in its own locket and your in your mind.
- 26:34Speaker 12: I think so yeah, they all feel like like important
- 26:36Speaker 12: memories and moments. I mean, I've had conversations with people
- 26:39Speaker 12: about you know, there's this is a breakup album and
- 26:41Speaker 12: it's it's emotional and is it up and down and whatnot?
- 26:44Speaker 12: And people are like, is it hard to release songs
- 26:45Speaker 12: that you know you might not feel that same way
- 26:48Speaker 12: now that you did when you recorded them. But I
- 26:49Speaker 12: think that's the perfect thing for a locket, you know,
- 26:51Speaker 12: it's it's a part of me and that shaped me
- 26:53Speaker 12: and whatnot.
- 26:54Speaker 3: So now is there a symbolic lockett that had two
- 26:58Speaker 3: faces in it that you caught one of the faces out.
- 26:59Speaker 12: Of Honestly, my locketts really have like my cats in them.
- 27:04Speaker 12: They're in there.
- 27:06Speaker 3: There's no two faces in your locket now, no, no
- 27:09Speaker 3: two faces, no, just just what are the cat stands?
- 27:12Speaker 12: I'm so glad you asked Mooki and Maple. Oh yes,
- 27:17Speaker 12: I found I found Mooki on the on the side
- 27:20Speaker 12: of the road the night the Dodgers won the World Series.
- 27:21Speaker 12: I love and she also looks kind of like a
- 27:25Speaker 12: cow like her print is cow like, So Mooki moo.
- 27:27Speaker 1: It all works, all.
- 27:29Speaker 3: Right, Madison Beer's here, Let's take a break, let's come back,
- 27:31Speaker 3: Let's play some music. It is kiss FM. I mean,
- 27:37Speaker 3: that is the sound if somebody has been doing it
- 27:39Speaker 3: for a long time, but it's still so fresh and
- 27:40Speaker 3: we love it.
- 27:41Speaker 2: I to you was singing it off.
- 27:43Speaker 11: Key, beyond off y can she hear?
- 27:48Speaker 2: Sorry? So sorry?
- 27:55Speaker 3: So all right, Now, when you listen to your song
- 27:58Speaker 3: like that and you hear it or you'll be a
- 28:00Speaker 3: car uber whatever, and it comes I was in.
- 28:01Speaker 1: The car last night and it came on.
- 28:03Speaker 2: What runs What runs through you?
- 28:06Speaker 8: Like?
- 28:06Speaker 2: What do you feel?
- 28:07Speaker 1: Okay?
- 28:07Speaker 12: So first thing I feel is my phone must be
- 28:09Speaker 12: plugged in and I must be playing this on my
- 28:11Speaker 12: phone and like I'm not even joking. We got in
- 28:14Speaker 12: the car last night and we turned the car on
- 28:15Speaker 12: and I just hear a bittersweet and I'm like, oh,
- 28:17Speaker 12: my phone must be plugged in.
- 28:18Speaker 1: And then I see like one or two seven Kiss
- 28:20Speaker 1: of m is.
- 28:21Speaker 12: Playing it, and then afterwards they're like, I don't know
- 28:23Speaker 12: who said it, but someone was like, we know, we
- 28:24Speaker 12: got Madison beer on here, and then I realized it
- 28:26Speaker 12: was on the radio. But genuinely, the first thing I
- 28:28Speaker 12: do is check to see if it's playing for my OX.
- 28:30Speaker 12: When I realize it's not, it's so exciting. It's so
- 28:32Speaker 12: cool to just I don't know. It also always feels
- 28:34Speaker 12: very like nothing feels like a coincidence because I would
- 28:37Speaker 12: have had to get in the car at that perfect
- 28:39Speaker 12: moment and catch it. It's what only three minutes long,
- 28:41Speaker 12: So it always feels like a sign that I'm hopefully
- 28:43Speaker 12: on the right track.
- 28:44Speaker 1: And it's it's very affirming and really that's awesome.
- 28:47Speaker 3: Yeah, that was Kayla. I think that was on e
- 28:49Speaker 3: J or Kayla. I'm not quite sure. I was asleep.
- 28:52Speaker 3: But when you think about the people that have responded,
- 28:56Speaker 3: reacted and felt something from your song, that to me must.
- 28:59Speaker 2: Be the magic.
- 28:59Speaker 3: When people who you don't know, you've never met, Yeah,
- 29:02Speaker 3: you may never meet them. They are moved, it resonates,
- 29:05Speaker 3: they feel something, they relate that to me must be
- 29:08Speaker 3: some incredible superpower magic feeling.
- 29:10Speaker 1: It's the best thing ever.
- 29:11Speaker 12: I think music is obviously such a universal language, and
- 29:14Speaker 12: connecting with people through it is so special and amazing.
- 29:18Speaker 12: And obviously you guys do this in your around music
- 29:19Speaker 12: all day every day, and you can see how much
- 29:21Speaker 12: it impacts people and they get in their cars, they
- 29:23Speaker 12: turn on the radio.
- 29:24Speaker 1: It can change your whole day and turn your mood around.
- 29:27Speaker 12: And I just think it's very powerful and I feel
- 29:29Speaker 12: lucky to be in this industry and to do this.
- 29:31Speaker 3: So yeah, you know you exude gratefulness. You can feel
- 29:35Speaker 3: your gratefulness in all of that. So Lockett is out now.
- 29:40Speaker 3: Tickets to the Lockett Tour are on sale at ticketmaster
- 29:43Speaker 3: dot com.
- 29:44Speaker 2: What can you reveal about the Lockett Tour?
- 29:47Speaker 12: Oh, it's just gonna be so fun And if you're listening,
- 29:49Speaker 12: I hope to see you there. And I don't honestly
- 29:51Speaker 12: want to reveal too much, well partially because I don't
- 29:54Speaker 12: have any idea what I'm going to be doing yet.
- 29:57Speaker 12: I'm still working on all everything, but I don't know.
- 30:00Speaker 12: I know that I'm gonna obviously want to put on
- 30:02Speaker 12: This is the biggest tour I've ever done, and I
- 30:03Speaker 12: want to put on the best show possible. And I
- 30:05Speaker 12: just want to share a night with people and dance
- 30:08Speaker 12: around and have a good time.
- 30:09Speaker 1: So that's that's at least what I could tell you.
- 30:11Speaker 3: You can expectin Mune twenty fourth is the keya form,
- 30:14Speaker 3: so you'll see what comes to fruation.
- 30:16Speaker 2: Thank you so much for coming. Congratulations, Thank you.
- 30:18Speaker 1: I really appreciate it.
- 30:19Speaker 2: Thank you so much.
- 30:21Speaker 7: Good this year.
- 30:21Speaker 3: Thank you, KSFM, Ryan Seacrest here, thank you for listening
- 30:25Speaker 3: to us. So thank Tanyi's got a question for it
- 30:29Speaker 3: is here. When you break up with somebody, do you
- 30:31Speaker 3: stick to your type or go for somebody completely different?
- 30:34Speaker 3: This conversation circulates every once in a while based on
- 30:37Speaker 3: somebody that's in the headlines. Who is the latest to
- 30:39Speaker 3: go through this in the headlines Tanya Dakota Johnson.
- 30:42Speaker 4: So you may know her from Fifty Shades of Gray.
- 30:45Speaker 1: She was also in a.
- 30:46Speaker 4: Materialist last year. She was on and off with Coldplace
- 30:50Speaker 4: front man Chris Martin for nearly eight years.
- 30:53Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah.
- 30:54Speaker 4: The two of them called it off for good.
- 30:56Speaker 5: I say that in quotes because that's what has been
- 30:58Speaker 5: reported back in June of last year. Year and now
- 31:01Speaker 5: we've seen her out and about with another musician role model.
- 31:06Speaker 2: No, really, this guy is what does he even look like? Well,
- 31:12Speaker 2: that doesn't mean I remember what he looks like.
- 31:14Speaker 3: He's tall, handsome, kay, I'm looking at pictures of the
- 31:18Speaker 3: guy now zooming in.
- 31:20Speaker 5: So they well, they were spotted together at the end
- 31:22Speaker 5: of December, and then recently last week they were getting
- 31:25Speaker 5: dinner at Marvin on Beverly and Fairfax. So we don't
- 31:29Speaker 5: know totally what's going on there, but the word on
- 31:32Speaker 5: the street is that they're dating. But clearly she has
- 31:34Speaker 5: a type and it's haughty musicians. Now, if you can
- 31:37Speaker 5: out of an eight year relationship with a musician, would
- 31:40Speaker 5: you go back to your type and date another musician
- 31:44Speaker 5: or would you pivot and go something totally different.
- 31:46Speaker 3: I don't think I've ever dated a musician, so I
- 31:48Speaker 3: don't know about dating musician.
- 31:51Speaker 4: Okay, actress, I don't.
- 31:53Speaker 2: I'm not well, I don't care.
- 32:00Speaker 3: Coming out of a relationship, you want to you want
- 32:03Speaker 3: to not be lonely, So I don't think you're worried
- 32:05Speaker 3: about not getting back into your same type. Certainly initially,
- 32:09Speaker 3: maybe if you're gonna start having that conversation about a bigger,
- 32:12Speaker 3: deeper dive than you want to be aware that you
