  Speaker 2: leader's session, and trusting and believing and assuming that everyone

  Speaker 2: here is a captain over fifty, over one hundred, over thousands,

  Speaker 2: that means everything you're learning, you are learning for your

  Speaker 2: sake and the sake of the people that you lead.

  Speaker 2: Can we cry onto the Lord to give us wisdom

  Speaker 2: within a minute or two. Father, give me wisdom. Go

  Speaker 2: ahead and pray. The Bible says, does any man lack wisdom,

  Speaker 2: onto all men liberally. Here at this conference, we receive wisdom.

  Speaker 2: the power of systems and structures and then number two,

  Speaker 2: finance in ministry.

  Speaker 1: I think that these are.

  Speaker 2: Two areas where most people have, most leaders and most
• 3:07
  Speaker 2: organizations have had struggles.
• 3:11
  Speaker 1: For the average person in ministry.
• 3:13
  Speaker 2: With our context of today's Christian adventure, I think everyone
• 3:18
  Speaker 2: who wants to be serious with God, already has systems
• 3:22
  Speaker 2: in place to help them to be serious with God.
• 3:25
  Speaker 2: If you want to learn prayer, there is a system
• 3:27
  Speaker 2: for that. If you want to study scripture and grow sincerely,
• 3:31
  Speaker 2: there is a system for that. Allelujah, you want to
• 3:35
  Speaker 2: be serious with God, there is a system for that.
• 3:37
  Speaker 2: So the Nigerian Church, in the midst of all the
• 3:40
  Speaker 2: challenges here and there, we have I think we've done
• 3:44
  Speaker 2: well in terms of creating templates and systems that help
• 3:49
  Speaker 2: people as far as their spirituality is concerned.
• 3:53
  Speaker 1: But then when it comes to other.
• 3:55
  Speaker 2: Aspects like administration, excellence, finances, were still lagging behind very seriously,
• 4:03
  Speaker 2: and this has deflated the passion of many well intentioned people,
• 4:07
  Speaker 2: even people in ministry. So a young person begins ministry
• 4:11
  Speaker 2: with zeal, with passion, with grace, loving God, fasting consecration,
• 4:16
  Speaker 2: and then you get to a point where the deficiency
• 4:20
  Speaker 2: of the other side now begins to affect that passion.
• 4:24
  Speaker 2: You find out that you're a great prayer warrior, great
• 4:28
  Speaker 2: world giant. And this applies for both ministry and in
• 4:31
  Speaker 2: any kind of leadership structure. When you start a ministry
• 4:34
  Speaker 2: and it's not organized, welf of you can meet on
• 4:36
  Speaker 2: the ground, you can shout around, you can meet in
• 4:38
  Speaker 2: a parlor. So you don't have any problem with rent,
• 4:41
  Speaker 2: you don't have any problem with administration. Most likely there's
• 4:44
  Speaker 2: no teeth among you. Most likely there's no troublemaker among you.
• 4:48
  Speaker 2: But as the ministry begins to grow, you are confronted
• 4:51
  Speaker 2: with the reality of leadership. And most times we spiritualize
• 4:55
  Speaker 2: it and we ignore it by bringing all kinds of
• 4:57
  Speaker 2: visions and things. But then eventually you will find out
• 5:02
  Speaker 2: to your shock that as spiritual as you are, as
• 5:06
  Speaker 2: called as you are, you are not able to scale
• 5:11
  Speaker 2: beyond a certain degree. You see, ignorance in one area
• 5:16
  Speaker 2: of the kingdom, or light in an area of the
• 5:20
  Speaker 2: kingdom will not cover for ignorance in another area of
• 5:24
  Speaker 2: the kingdom. So if you have light in the area
• 5:29
  Speaker 2: of say fellowship with the Holy Spirit, it will not
• 5:32
  Speaker 2: automatically remedy for your ignorance in the area of relationships,
• 5:38
  Speaker 2: in the area of administration. A way together, there is
• 5:42
  Speaker 2: something I call a knowing only syndrome. You find that
• 5:47
  Speaker 2: in Acts chapter eighteen, from verse twenty four, the Bible
• 5:50
  Speaker 2: talks about a man called Apollos verse twenty four. This
• 5:57
  Speaker 2: man was born at Alexandria. The Bible called him an
• 6:00
  Speaker 2: eloquent man. Let's examine for a minute the kind of
• 6:06
  Speaker 2: qualifications this man had. He was instructed in the way
• 6:11
  Speaker 2: of the Lord, so he was not a rebel, submitted
• 6:13
  Speaker 2: himself to mentorship. He was favant in spirit. He spake
• 6:18
  Speaker 2: and taught diligently the things of the Lord. There was
• 6:21
  Speaker 2: only one problem with this man. That one problem is
• 6:24
  Speaker 2: the last line, knowing only. How can a man have
• 6:30
  Speaker 2: all of these things together? Favent in spirit, eloquent, intelligent.

  Speaker 2: You would think that kind of person should have everything
• 6:40
  Speaker 2: in place, But the Bible says he knew only. Go

  Speaker 2: back to verse twenty five. Knowing only. Everybody said knowing only,

  Speaker 2: convincingly say, knowing only, I wonder what else we need
• 6:55
  Speaker 2: to know in addition to what we know. Sometimes what

  Speaker 2: we know can be the limitation to what we need

  Speaker 2: to know. Let me show you another example. Act chapter nineteen.

  Speaker 2: So when I started my journey with God, because I

  Speaker 2: came from an evangelical background, my passion was just evangelism,

  Speaker 2: love for God, and that was it. They didn't have

  Speaker 2: the privilege of knowing anything about administration, finance, ministry, all
• 9:36
  Speaker 2: these things.

  Speaker 1: It was not even my interest.
• 9:38
  Speaker 2: Our passion was just to first pray, pressing to God
• 9:42
  Speaker 2: and that was it. And for a while the Lord
• 9:46
  Speaker 2: allowed that for a spiritual development. But I got to
• 9:49
  Speaker 2: a point where the Lord began to call me to
• 9:52
  Speaker 2: let me know that if I continued on that path
• 9:55
  Speaker 2: without opening my spirit to the other aspects of the kingdom,

  Speaker 2: eventually the deficiency of this knowledge would affect me in
• 10:04
  Speaker 2: the future.

  Speaker 1: And I'm grateful to God that I paid attention now.

  Speaker 1: With all due.

  Speaker 2: Respect, I know people across the globe, some in ministry,

  Speaker 2: some in business, who had a chance to lend the other.

  Speaker 1: Sides of the kingdom that would have brought.

  Speaker 2: Balance and holistic excellence to their lives, but either d

  Speaker 2: to pride or ignorance, or just emotionally holding on to

  Speaker 2: all they knew, then they refused to open up their hearts.

  Speaker 2: And for many of these the deficiency is now widespread.

  Speaker 2: It's clean. Ministry is clear, business is clean leadership. My

  Speaker 2: prayer for you is that, as you are gathered here

  Speaker 2: this morning, if there is anything that will cost you

  Speaker 2: tears in the future, may God address it now. I'm

  Speaker 2: speaking to a man of God, I'm speaking to a businessman.

  Speaker 2: It's amazing how little things can cost big effects. A

  Speaker 2: small key is what opens a big door. A small

  Speaker 2: because of the quality of the foundation. There are certain

  Speaker 2: foundations that go as deep as a house itself because

  Speaker 2: So when it has to do with excelling in ministry,

  Speaker 2: you must understand systems and structures, and the foundation for

  Speaker 2: the excelling of the believer in life and ministry is

  Speaker 2: your spiritual roots. Please write that down, your spiritual root.

  Speaker 2: Let's start from there. I don't care what you intend

  Speaker 2: to do, whether it is to excel in ministry, whether

  Speaker 2: it's to excel in business, whether it is to excel

  Speaker 2: in career. In whatever aspect of your life, you are

  Speaker 2: as powerful as the strength of your spirituality. You are

  Speaker 2: as powerful as the depth of your spirituality. Now, most

  Speaker 2: people ignore God and igno spirituality in a bit to excel,

  Speaker 2: in a bit to increase. Usually, if you're in ministry,

  Speaker 2: because of your closeness to spirituality. Most ministers are serious

  Speaker 2: with God, I presume, but when it has to do
• 19:16
  Speaker 2: with business people and other areas, they usually ignore God
• 19:20
  Speaker 2: because they feel like God is a nuisance to civilization.

  Speaker 1: Away together.
