- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville jackwars vans welcome in to do vault daily president of my jing jack dot com i'm jordan alugo thanks so much for being here monday march night legal tampering it's on it is on and you're Jacksonville jackwars they have lost try to see tn to the New Orleans saints and uh look you know
- 0:20[SPEAKER_00]: This was expected.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_00]: Travis UTN 27 years old, coming off of his fifth year option, former first round picked by the Jacksonville Jaguars, had a damn good season for the Jags overall.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_00]: He had seven rushing touchdowns, seven receiving touchdowns, including the playoffs.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_00]: He was a player.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I was honest about it.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted him back, and Jacksonville.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_00]: Him and Trevor Lawrence have been together for how,
- 0:51[SPEAKER_00]: five obviously travesty tans rookie season didn't really happen because of the list frank injury in 2021 and then go back to climps and what like three more years so that that is a long long term relationship in terms of the NFL and and just football in general right but travesty t and going to the northern saints and he is making 52 million dollars over four years right that is
- 1:21[SPEAKER_00]: That is quite a, I mean, for one, I didn't expect him to get four years.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_00]: I expected him to get three years, just like,
- 1:28[SPEAKER_00]: Running back's generally don't get like super long-term deals, but that's what I was expecting.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_00]: And 13 is a little bit north of what I was expecting.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, Kenneth Walker signing with the Chiefs at 15 million per year, or up to 15 million per year.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_00]: I think the base is like 14.2 or three or something like that.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_00]: So, ETN comes in under that, but not significantly under that.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_00]: When we talked about it, I believe ETN is a legitimate like very versatile well-rounded running back.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_00]: Good runner, good receiver, good pass blocker.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_00]: He proved this year.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_00]: He's a good pass blocker.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_00]: And so it stinks to see him go.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_00]: It's awesome for him that he's getting 13 million a year.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_00]: According to Joe Cena Anderson, I mean, 13 million a year, that puts them up there.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_00]: That puts them up there, obviously not at the top of the running back market, but we can pull up running back contracts in the NFL.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_00]: We've got 13 million dollars, puts you,
- 2:53[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see, six.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: If you include Kenneth Walker, take one Barclays at 20.6, McAfrey at 19, Henry at 15, Brie's Hall at 14.293, Taylor at 14.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_00]: So that's one, two, three, four, five.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_00]: Plus, seven tires paid running back in the NFL right now.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_00]: Travis UTN, good for him, man.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that's great, that's great money.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_00]: But for the jags, again, this was expected.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_00]: I know a lot of people wanted UT and back.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted UT and back.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_00]: I would've been very happy to see him back.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: But that's not going to be the case.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_00]: So now it's time to move forward with Bacial Tutan with Lee Quint Allen.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_00]: Can't forget that the Jaguar also brought DJ Dallas back.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_00]: I was kind of of the opinion that if you were going to sign Travis ET and you're really going to sign DJ Dallas
- 3:52[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe those two things have nothing to do with each other.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_00]: But I feel like DJ Dallas was that piece to be the third back in the room, a good special teams player, in case they didn't add someone else.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_00]: And they still could.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_00]: They could still add to the room via free agency.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_00]: They could still add to the room via the draft.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_00]: But Travis UTN.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_00]: after putting up 4,000 total rushing yards over four years, including the post season.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_00]: 1400 receiving yards, including the post season.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: So you're talking about basically a 5,500 guy and 4500 yard guy total yard guy in four years.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: He's gone, and I'm as sane as his explosiveness, his slipperyness through the whole.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_00]: Like he kind of, his zero to five yards, I feel like is just insanely explosive.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: Can destroy angles.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously going back home to New Orleans, or to, you know, he's from Louisiana, close to New Orleans.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_00]: So that's good for him, for his family, himself, all that good stuff.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_00]: for the jags, as of right now, Basel Tutan, who you drafted in the fourth round, is your lead back.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that there was times last year that they wanted that to be the case, but I think ETN was just a little bit too good to hold off Basel Tutan.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_00]: And Basel Tutan's there guy.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_00]: Liquid Allen is there guy too.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: And these are both players that did play a lot on special teams last year.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_00]: I think Allen will continue to play a lot on special teams, while Basial Tutan will probably not be on special teams as much.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_00]: If the running back room stands how it currently is, it would be I think Allen and DJ Dallas, a lot on special teams with Tutan focusing just a lot more on offense, right?
- 6:00[SPEAKER_00]: I do like Basial Tutan.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_00]: I think he can be a impactful running back,
- 6:07[SPEAKER_00]: at the NFL level.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you, saw that in a lot of different moments.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't really get any huge explosive runs.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: His longest run was actually in the wildcard game against the Bills, 20 yards.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_00]: But he has that breakaway speed, you know, 4, 3, 40 yard dash.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: He's a tough runner.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_00]: I like the way he runs.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_00]: I like the attitude he brings.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_00]: He ended up rushing
- 6:33[SPEAKER_00]: 87 times for 358 yards, 4.1 yards per carry, five touchdowns, one fumble, fumbles were an issue for him at Virginia Tech.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_00]: Receiving department, he was targeted 13 times throughout the season, had 10 catches, two touchdowns.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_00]: One of them was a really nice touchdown grab.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_00]: Probably could have been a little bit more accurate, ball from Trevor Lawrence, but yeah, basal tootin is your top back right now.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_00]: As far as his past protection goes, it's fine.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_00]: There's nothing wrong with it.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: And then you look at Liquan Allen.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_00]: I'd be excited to see him more as a runner, honestly.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I just want to see him on the field more on offense.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_00]: I thought he did a good job running the ball.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_00]: He is an excellent receiver.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_00]: He is excellent in pass protection.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_00]: He is a dog.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_00]: Like, he absolutely wants the smoke.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_00]: He wants to hit everything that moves out there on the football field.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_00]: And I get to fire it up as a football fan.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: He's a great special team's player.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_00]: Just the kind of guy you want to see out there on the field for your football team.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_00]: basaltuteness.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_00]: He averaged four yards of carry on 24 carries during his rookie year.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: Most time, our most rush attempts during his rookie year was against the chargers again where the Jaguars were having their way with the chargers.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_00]: He had eight carries for 36 yards, four and a half yards per carry in that game.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_00]: Again, four yards per carry on the season on 24 attempts.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_00]: It was not on the field on offense a whole lot, Travis CTN.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, basaltuton.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't be mad if the Jaguars are just like, hey, basal and liquid are our guys moving forward.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_00]: But, and DJs are great, third back, and special teams player.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_00]: I would not be mad about that.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_00]: Also won't be mad if they go get themselves a Rashad White.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: Saw Tyler Algier already signed elsewhere.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_00]: Kenneth Gainwell signed to elsewhere, but Rashad White could make sense.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_00]: Sean Tucker could make sense.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: A draft pick could also make sense for the Jaguars at the running back spot.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: The day is not over yet.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_00]: The week is not over yet.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_00]: We're just getting things started really, but the Jaguars earlier today, they announced the extension of Buster Brown.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_00]: He's getting three years, 33 million cornerback position is locked in for 2026 and then Dennis Gardeck, so you're kind of hybrid edge slash golf ball landbacker, Sam landbacker is also locked in for 2026 as well.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: Running back.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's going to be fascinating just to see how they view this, like if they're like hand it over the keys to these two young guys, which I...
- 9:19[SPEAKER_00]: I'm here for that.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_00]: I'm also here for trying to improve it even further.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll see what they end up doing.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_00]: And then when you talk about what you really want to see from a veteran's standpoint, I really would love to see the jags go get themselves, somebody who can impact the quarterback on the defense.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_00]: Defense of line, edge or anterior.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_00]: Let me know how you're feeling in the comment section below.

- 9:46[SPEAKER_00]: Happy trails to Travis E.T.N.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_00]: heading to the New Orleans saying, it's happy for him to get that bag and go back closer to home.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_00]: Stinks for the Jags and Jags fans who love watching this guy play.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_00]: But at least he's going to the NFC, right?
- 9:59[SPEAKER_00]: Y'all have a good one.
