- 0:00Speaker 1: Coming up on relatables. What's something that you should know
- 0:03Speaker 1: as an adult but you don't North? South east West? Easy?
- 0:06Speaker 1: Go north north south? No, North's not up, you're south?
- 0:12Speaker 1: Oh wait in this direction? Oh no, I don't know that.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Wait you want me to tell you, like as in
- 0:18Speaker 1: like point in a direction, which way north and south is?
- 0:22Speaker 1: It's like on a compass, it's north is Jake pointed
- 0:25Speaker 1: up to space. Actually, if you're at the north poland
- 0:30Speaker 1: you have to go north. Where you're going? Answer that? Okay?
- 0:33Speaker 1: Which way is north?
- 0:45Speaker 2: The Relatable podcast is hosted by myself, Jake Cray aka Daddy,
- 0:49Speaker 2: and my removalist in crime, mister Audi eight Audie Clark
- 0:55Speaker 2: sorry aka Mummy.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Now is Mummy because maybe he's the one you go
- 1:02Speaker 1: to when you want to get the right answer. And
- 1:05Speaker 1: Jake is Daddy because he can think on his feet.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean sometimes yeah, unless I'm busting for the toilet.
- 1:13Speaker 1: And you guys are the baddies.
- 1:15Speaker 2: So Ellison in the room is it's a different room.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Being the room. We have had a morning, we've had,
- 1:23Speaker 1: we've had the morning. We're currently in my office because
- 1:27Speaker 1: our studio has been cut off from electricity for the day. Yes,
- 1:32Speaker 1: and this is our last week giving you a little
- 1:34Speaker 1: bit of the tricks of the trade. We are pre
- 1:36Speaker 1: recording so we can have a Christmas break, yes, and
- 1:39Speaker 1: we needed to record today, so we've spent the morning
- 1:42Speaker 1: changing all the equipment and I think it's turned out
- 1:45Speaker 1: really well. Yeah.
- 1:46Speaker 2: I mean if whatever whatever you're listening or watching on
- 1:49Speaker 2: if you're if you're watching, obviously you're looking at it.
- 1:51Speaker 2: But if you're just listening, then I mean, let us
- 1:56Speaker 2: know how we did. I think we tried to screw We.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Made it like all right for a cheeky little, you know,
- 2:00Speaker 1: makeshift studio.
- 2:01Speaker 2: I think we've done well, really well, and the audio
- 2:04Speaker 2: should be fine. You know, we brought everything with us.
- 2:06Speaker 2: At least it was only fifteen no, no, the driver
- 2:08Speaker 2: is like seven minutes. Yeah, it's not far so we're
- 2:10Speaker 2: cheering and the reason so we could have actually just
- 2:13Speaker 2: like not recorded today and done it tomorrow, but we
- 2:17Speaker 2: Last week something similar happened where I drove all the
- 2:20Speaker 2: way from Sydney. It's an hour and a half, drove
- 2:23Speaker 2: all the way, got here, trees are getting cut down,
- 2:27Speaker 2: couldn't record, drove it home, had to drive back two
- 2:30Speaker 2: more time.
- 2:31Speaker 1: So I did nine hours of driving.
- 2:32Speaker 2: That week, so this week I would have had to
- 2:35Speaker 2: do the same thing, and so I was like, let's
- 2:38Speaker 2: just move it.
- 2:39Speaker 1: We have had a little bit of a med and
- 2:41Speaker 1: the oh my god, it's been a bit of a
- 2:43Speaker 1: fucking debarcle. But that's not going to get in the
- 2:46Speaker 1: way of what we're doing on the podcast today. But
- 2:48Speaker 1: we're very grateful. Yeah, we have to announce the winners
- 2:52Speaker 1: of the Baddest Baddie Campaign. Yeah, we are about to
- 2:56Speaker 1: call Sarah and Chelsea shortly and give them the news
- 3:01Speaker 1: and also both give them good news giving something away there.
- 3:05Speaker 1: But also if you haven't listened to the Baddest Baddie Campaign,
- 3:09Speaker 1: go back and listen to the previous episodes. The're about
- 3:10Speaker 1: once every fortnight where we're highlighting some women doing some
- 3:14Speaker 1: really cool stuff. Yeah, so I enjoy. Hey, Chelsea, how's
- 3:18Speaker 1: it going.
- 3:20Speaker 3: Just go and get how are you?
- 3:21Speaker 1: I'm going really well. I'm joined by Jake. Obviously we're
- 3:24Speaker 1: doing great. We're doing great. Glad to hear your voice.
- 3:27Speaker 1: We are here with some news. Okay, how are you
- 3:32Speaker 1: feeling in regards to the Baddest Baddie Campaign? Overall?
- 3:38Speaker 4: I was feeling very good.
- 3:39Speaker 3: About it, don't know one. If not, I'm happy I've
- 3:42Speaker 3: had the experience. And obviously you guys set up with herdies,
- 3:46Speaker 3: which are on the way to you now, so hopefully
- 3:47Speaker 3: you get them in the next week.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Well excited. That's it as a whole, pretty much. We
- 3:52Speaker 1: couldn't thank you enough for coming on and congratulations. But Jake,
- 3:57Speaker 1: we have some news. Do you want to give it
- 3:58Speaker 1: to us?
- 3:59Speaker 2: Okay, So we have some bad news and we have
- 4:01Speaker 2: some good news, right, Okay. The bad news is it's
- 4:05Speaker 2: pretty hard for there to be a winner. The good
- 4:08Speaker 2: news is you both are winners.
- 4:11Speaker 5: Yeah, technically, if we go off votes, Sarah has won,
- 4:18Speaker 5: but we would like to offer both of you the
- 4:21Speaker 5: same prize.
- 4:22Speaker 1: So you've come second, but we're going to offer all
- 4:26Speaker 1: of our merch but also a month long sponsorship of
- 4:30Speaker 1: the Relatables podcast. We have the beauty Monks pain for
- 4:33Speaker 1: you to say. Congratulations. Oh, thank you. That's all right.
- 4:38Speaker 1: So we're actually gonna have a little bit of fun
- 4:40Speaker 1: with the ad read too. We're going to pose it
- 4:42Speaker 1: to you because it's your brand and it's your persona.
- 4:45Speaker 1: I guess we would like to ask you to write
- 4:47Speaker 1: a thirty second ad read that we can voice on
- 4:51Speaker 1: the pod in the new year. Okay, so that's it's
- 4:56Speaker 1: it's pretty good news if you ask me.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Technically right away to my evenings. It's just about to
- 5:03Speaker 3: go to bed when you called.
- 5:05Speaker 1: We're glad we got you. Yeah, we're glad you came
- 5:08Speaker 1: as well, and thank you very much.
- 5:11Speaker 3: Thank you, thank you very much.
- 5:13Speaker 1: And we've got a lot of comments saying like counspiring
- 5:16Speaker 1: both everyone who competed in the Baddest Baddy worse. So yeah,
- 5:19Speaker 1: you killed.
- 5:20Speaker 3: It, amazing, thank you, good night.
- 5:23Speaker 1: So yeah, we'll be in touch about the ad read amazing.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Bye bye.
- 5:28Speaker 4: Hello if you're speaking, congratulations you.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Have won the Baddest Baddies Sarah, congratulations.
- 5:40Speaker 4: Thank you so much.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Ys. All right, so technically you won, but we just
- 5:47Speaker 1: called Chelsea and we both want to offer you the
- 5:49Speaker 1: same thing because in the end, both of you are
- 5:52Speaker 1: winners because you're both doing super cool things. So what
- 5:55Speaker 1: we want to offer is all of the reliables sent
- 5:58Speaker 1: to you. But also i'm holding in my hand my
- 6:01Speaker 1: Mental Health Toolkit by Sarah Matthews and Jack and I
- 6:06Speaker 1: have had a lovely read of it and awesome, it's
- 6:08Speaker 1: an amazing book. We would like to offer you a
- 6:12Speaker 1: one month I feel like I'm like posing it to electricity. Yeah,
- 6:15Speaker 1: this is what you've got. This is what you've got,
- 6:18Speaker 1: but one sponsorship of the pod, Yeah, from us, and
- 6:23Speaker 1: you get to write us a thirty second ad read
- 6:25Speaker 1: that we'll read starting next year.
- 6:26Speaker 6: Yeah, thank you so much.
- 6:30Speaker 1: Amazing. Yeah, so in your ad read, make sure you
- 6:34Speaker 1: have in there where they go to get their my
- 6:37Speaker 1: Mental Health Toolkit and that's just like the main and
- 6:40Speaker 1: so you don't forget that. Yeah, use the five seconds
- 6:42Speaker 1: for that, and then twenty five seconds. You can make
- 6:44Speaker 1: us say whatever you want.
- 6:45Speaker 4: Yeah, I can say whatever I want, as long as
- 6:49Speaker 4: it's not the way to.
- 6:50Speaker 3: Go to get the book.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Yeah. Has to make sure you have that in there
- 6:53Speaker 1: somewhere where to go get the book. Just don't forget that. Yeah.
- 6:57Speaker 1: But how are you feeling overall after coming on the
- 7:00Speaker 1: pod and being in the campaign.
- 7:04Speaker 4: Yeah, really good. I think overall it was just it's
- 7:08Speaker 4: great practice to be able to just speak on things
- 7:12Speaker 4: with especially a situation like this really stresses me. So
- 7:15Speaker 4: it's actually amazing just to be able to practice speaking
- 7:18Speaker 4: to speaking on a podcast and things like that.
- 7:20Speaker 6: But yeah, the support that have got from this has.
- 7:24Speaker 4: Been incredible, so yeah, I really appreciated.
- 7:27Speaker 3: Being on it.
- 7:27Speaker 1: So thank you guys, thank you, and we will say
- 7:30Speaker 1: you did a good job. The nerves aren't coming through yeah,
- 7:34Speaker 1: well you want ye? Well yeah I am.
- 7:40Speaker 4: I'm grinning right now.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Thanks once again, Sarah, and we'll be in touch to
- 7:44Speaker 1: get that ad read off you amazing.
- 7:47Speaker 4: Thank you so much.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Worries Sya, bye sligh. So that's it bad at Baddies over.
- 7:55Speaker 1: That concludes the Baddest Baddy. Thank you for every one
- 8:00Speaker 1: that competed yep, and also all the baddies who didn't
- 8:04Speaker 1: get on and are also doing super cool stuff. Thank
- 8:06Speaker 1: you very much.
- 8:07Speaker 2: I have a call to action for all the baddies
- 8:10Speaker 2: a cold actions. So we did the Boyfriend Olympics. We've
- 8:14Speaker 2: done the Badest Baddie.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Yeah. Someone. We had a few comments.
- 8:18Speaker 2: After Boyfriend Olympics saying you need to figure out a
- 8:21Speaker 2: way to do the Boyfriend Olympics. But for also for
- 8:25Speaker 2: single people because obviously you just like completely cut off
- 8:28Speaker 2: a whole I guess type of person yeah, which is single?
- 8:32Speaker 1: Well their circumstances Yeah, yeah, So I would like some
- 8:37Speaker 1: maybe just like comments of maybe some ideas how to
- 8:40Speaker 1: do it with single people, and like, what, maybe it
- 8:43Speaker 1: doesn't have to be about dating. Maybe it could just
- 8:44Speaker 1: be something where both single and people in a relationship
- 8:49Speaker 1: can both do it. But something about a situationship sounds
- 8:52Speaker 1: cool to me. I think so too. It's this tricky
- 8:54Speaker 1: because I don't know, you need to kind of need
- 8:56Speaker 1: to consent on the other person if it's like a
- 8:58Speaker 1: dating game. So the Boyfriend Olympics is good because it
- 9:00Speaker 1: was like it's given the girl friend just can speak
- 9:03Speaker 1: for the boy friend. But I do like that. I
- 9:05Speaker 1: think We've got some amazing messages, especially on Patreon, with
- 9:08Speaker 1: baddies with great ideas. So if you've got any, be
- 9:10Speaker 1: sure to comment than below. Yes, as bad as baddie
- 9:19Speaker 1: has been crowned. But also, Jake, we have to crown
- 9:21Speaker 1: something else. Okay the name for your car. Ah, Yeah,
- 9:26Speaker 1: that's that's pretty fair. We lait a week. We left
- 9:29Speaker 1: it another week, and more comments came in announcing the
- 9:34Speaker 1: name of your Suzuki Vitara as Fran. Yeah, and some
- 9:40Speaker 1: baddies are actually on your side, saying, Jake, it's fucking Fran.
- 9:42Speaker 1: But also you can say it's Francis or Francesca or Francis.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Is that a woman's name. I think vehicles, in my opinion,
- 9:50Speaker 1: for some reason, need to be a woman's name. I
- 9:53Speaker 1: don't know why Francesca. I think they both can be.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Francis is kind of both Francesca or Francesca. What's the
- 9:59Speaker 1: difference Francesca or.
- 10:01Speaker 2: What's the difference between Francesca and Francesca. You're asking is
- 10:03Speaker 2: it spelled the same?
- 10:04Speaker 1: Though? Yeah, yeah, it doesn't really matter. But I'm pretty
- 10:07Speaker 1: I'm like tomato, mate.
- 10:08Speaker 2: So when you were reading comments and someone said, like, oh, Jake,
- 10:12Speaker 2: it should be fran you know, just accept it, and
- 10:14Speaker 2: then they go, but look on the bright side, it
- 10:15Speaker 2: could be Francis or and then they spelt Francesca. You
- 10:21Speaker 2: know they didn't mean Francesca, right, They just meant Francesca.
- 10:25Speaker 2: Francesca is not a name.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Are you sure? I'm so sure. I feel like you
- 10:30Speaker 1: can say it both ways. I don't think Francesca is
- 10:33Speaker 1: a name, and it would be not spelt with a C.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Francesca would be spelt with an S in the middle.
- 10:39Speaker 1: That was Francesca. It was Francesca. How confusing is that's
- 10:46Speaker 1: not very confusing? Well, by which one do you want? Anyway?
- 10:51Speaker 1: Just with Fran. I's got to be Fran. You know,
- 10:53Speaker 1: that's what you chose for a reason. On the car's
- 10:55Speaker 1: birth certificate. Do you know what Fran's full name was
- 11:01Speaker 1: or was it just France Francis Gartrell? Was Francesca Francis
- 11:07Speaker 1: name is Francis? Yeah, oh you said Francis Catrell. Yeah no, no, no, no, no,
- 11:13Speaker 1: you merged that and you said, like franchise, I said,
- 11:17Speaker 1: you wigged that out. That was you. I am wigging
- 11:20Speaker 1: out after our morning eight? Was you? Anyway? The point
- 11:25Speaker 1: of bringing that up was to crown your car with
- 11:27Speaker 1: the name Fran to get you from A to B safely.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Let's keep it Frands. So I'm happy. I'm happy overall.
- 11:33Speaker 1: I mean, look, I'm confident I got to hate baddies
- 11:35Speaker 1: were spoken. It is. I'm like so shocked as to
- 11:40Speaker 1: you know where I should have brought this up. This
- 11:42Speaker 1: should have been brought up on a book Club episode. Yeah,
- 11:45Speaker 1: maybe the book Club baddies. I'm not also main episode batties.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Wasn't enough of them?
- 11:50Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, maybe because I was like, I'm talking, like
- 11:55Speaker 2: put my life on the line, confident of the cult
- 11:58Speaker 2: following of Fourth Wing, where everyone would have been like,
- 12:01Speaker 2: obviously it's violent.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Maybe you're too confident that that didn't work in your
- 12:06Speaker 1: favor because you were like, oh, even let you say
- 12:08Speaker 1: the sub story. That's how confident I was. I was like,
- 12:11Speaker 1: ohad you tell everything? Yeah, And then it came across
- 12:13Speaker 1: as too confident. You think maybe I don't know, trying
- 12:16Speaker 1: to get in the bad head. You never know. It
- 12:20Speaker 1: definitely could have. But I wanted to ask, are you
- 12:23Speaker 1: driving Fran up to Queensland for your Christmas break? You're
- 12:28Speaker 1: what best car? Best car?
- 12:30Speaker 2: Because bess car is it's actually a little bit bigger,
- 12:35Speaker 2: more space. But then also when we're up there, she
- 12:39Speaker 2: wants to be able to drive, and she has.
- 12:41Speaker 1: Her she can't drive your car.
- 12:42Speaker 2: Well, here's the thing is, so she actually knows how,
- 12:46Speaker 2: but she's legally not allowed just to wait until who
- 12:49Speaker 2: cares about it. She has to wait a couple of weeks,
- 12:51Speaker 2: so a couple of years, I think once she's on
- 12:53Speaker 2: a black license. It's what it's called here when you
- 12:55Speaker 2: have your just full adult license. I guess not that
- 12:59Speaker 2: she isn't all right?
- 13:01Speaker 1: I am dating that. Will Daddy let you drive the range?
- 13:08Speaker 1: That would be nice? Tell you what I have driven
- 13:13Speaker 1: his car. It's nice.
- 13:15Speaker 7: Yeah, it's it's like weird, like getting the.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Car like that and drive it. Yeah, so cat's out
- 13:24Speaker 1: of the bag. Dad's got a range. That could mean anything.
- 13:30Speaker 1: So Dad's got a range. Now this could be mean
- 13:33Speaker 1: a series of things. The range drover could be a
- 13:35Speaker 1: twenty sixteen secondhand or it could be a twenty twenty
- 13:38Speaker 1: five brand new. You guys don't know, but we know
- 13:41Speaker 1: that you know which one it is. I actually promise
- 13:49Speaker 1: that for the sake of my.
- 13:55Speaker 2: I don't even know how to say this, I promise
- 13:57Speaker 2: I grew up with no and then I will be
- 14:00Speaker 2: honest by the time I got to I want to say, fourteen,
- 14:04Speaker 2: a's when my dad started making good money.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, well but before that, I'd tell you before
- 14:09Speaker 1: that it was like yeah, the shift, Yeah, I don't know.
- 14:13Speaker 1: You still wouldn't you know how we spoke about it,
- 14:15Speaker 1: Like I don't know when we spoke about it. But
- 14:17Speaker 1: when you go to ask your parents like two bucks, yeah,
- 14:20Speaker 1: and they try and teach you a lesson, like they
- 14:22Speaker 1: can afford the two dollars, maybe some people can't. Like
- 14:24Speaker 1: I'm not I don't want to be. You know, what's
- 14:26Speaker 1: it called blind to the situation, but he.
- 14:29Speaker 2: Still used to say, Nah, you know, money doesn't come
- 14:32Speaker 2: from my bum or whatever.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Money doesn't grow on trees, might don't grow on trees.
- 14:37Speaker 1: And then I remember when I was a kid finding
- 14:39Speaker 1: out someone's like, oh, do your parents tell you?
- 14:42Speaker 2: It's like a little kid you know. Wait, you know
- 14:45Speaker 2: those those lawyer signs in America everywhere, and it's like,
- 14:51Speaker 2: do you need a Nedury lawyer or something like that.
- 14:55Speaker 2: Remember one time someone at school being like, as if
- 14:57Speaker 2: he's one of those lawyers. Your parents tell you that
- 15:00Speaker 2: money doesn't grow on trees, and.
- 15:01Speaker 1: It's like you might be entitled to compensation because it's
- 15:03Speaker 1: actually made of paper, and paper comes from trees. I
- 15:10Speaker 1: don't remember thinking for them, like, you know what, that's
- 15:11Speaker 1: so true, but our paper is plastic, Our money's plastic,
- 15:14Speaker 1: which is better? To be fair? Yeah, in America's still people.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Yeah what about you just staying here? I'm staying here. Yeah,
- 15:22Speaker 1: I am for this. The first time I've stayed on
- 15:24Speaker 1: the coast for a New Years in a while. What
- 15:26Speaker 1: did we do last year? No? I had a chill
- 15:27Speaker 1: one last year. So Christmas is just going to be
- 15:29Speaker 1: with the fam, your casual chill and then I'm kind
- 15:34Speaker 1: of looking forward just to having a little bit of
- 15:36Speaker 1: a break and just relaxing, soaking up the sun and Jimmy.
- 15:39Speaker 1: But then for New Years, I'm going to Lost Paradise,
- 15:43Speaker 1: which I'm actually super excited for a three day festival,
- 15:46Speaker 1: and I think it's the last one I've got in me,
- 15:49Speaker 1: which I'm super excited about. I'm telling you, I'm going
- 15:51Speaker 1: to be proud. Yeah, I'm actually so keen a I
- 15:55Speaker 1: wanted to drink in like preparation for it because I
- 15:57Speaker 1: haven't drank in like a year. Yeah, but I'm keen
- 16:01Speaker 1: to see like Chris Stussy, Katamara, they're my two faves,
- 16:04Speaker 1: and I think even what's his name, what's Abby Chatfield's
- 16:10Speaker 1: guy's name, Kelly Holiday, he got announced. I'm actually keen
- 16:13Speaker 1: to see Kelly Holiday for something. Kelly Holiday I love. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 16:22Speaker 1: it's Kelly. But he has a real name, Adam Hyde.
- 16:24Speaker 1: His Adam What it's not Kelly Holiday, his real names
- 16:27Speaker 1: Adam Hide. Did not know that. He didn't know that. Yeah,
- 16:29Speaker 1: I know his real name is Adam Hyde, to be
- 16:31Speaker 1: fair around he found out. I found that out from
- 16:32Speaker 1: my girlfriend too, So speculation that is coming, Yeah, I'll
- 16:36Speaker 1: tell you what that would be sick. I think it's good.
- 16:39Speaker 1: But yeah, I'm super keen and just I don't know
- 16:41Speaker 1: anyone else going, just me and Cassie, my girlfriend, and
- 16:43Speaker 1: going and player by. You have some fun I'm keen for.
- 16:46Speaker 1: Like also just camping. There's like he's good food, trucks
- 16:49Speaker 1: and ship down there where you camp and down there
- 16:51Speaker 1: and in what I'm glamping. You didn't know that, but you.
- 16:58Speaker 7: Were a bating me then, I actually didn't know that.
- 17:02Speaker 7: I thought you were going to take your car. I'm
- 17:04Speaker 7: clear because your cars will set up camp better than that.
- 17:09Speaker 7: I didn't even do that, Daddy land Rover right now
- 17:14Speaker 7: right WHOA, it's opgay for that.
- 17:17Speaker 1: But also there's no service. Oh that's good. But what
- 17:21Speaker 1: day does that festival start? It's the twenty eighth of
- 17:25Speaker 1: December till the first of January.
- 17:27Speaker 2: I find for a festival, I feel like for a
- 17:29Speaker 2: New Year's Eve festival, I think that would be a
- 17:32Speaker 2: good I think it's good. A so because you'll you'll
- 17:36Speaker 2: party night one, but then not go hard party night tube,
- 17:42Speaker 2: not go hard.
- 17:44Speaker 1: No, it's freezing in his eve, baby, you gotta go. Yeah, exactly,
- 17:47Speaker 1: I think it works really really well in a sense
- 17:50Speaker 1: of that. And yeah, it's kind of just anticipation. Anticipation,
- 17:53Speaker 1: then you're ready, really good highlight. The thought of that
- 17:56Speaker 1: makes me nervous for you. Honestly, I'm super keen. Yeah,
- 17:59Speaker 1: and bad is it? I reckon, I'll have I reckon,
- 18:03Speaker 1: I'll have some good stories. Yeah. Please, if you see
- 18:07Speaker 1: from a distance, just film him for me and send
- 18:10Speaker 1: it to me. Just film No.
- 18:12Speaker 2: No, if you see from a distance a lost paradise,
- 18:17Speaker 2: film it. Tag us on your stories.
- 18:20Speaker 1: And I'm going to repost it because he's not going
- 18:23Speaker 1: to have any reception and hopefully you do and he doesn't. Mate.
- 18:26Speaker 1: That's going to be bad for business. You don't think
- 18:28Speaker 1: about the business, you know what I mean? Business is fine.
- 18:32Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to go like nonchalant. Is that what
- 18:34Speaker 1: the right word is? Staff over the head, sonnies, like
- 18:38Speaker 1: come on big, going on that famous? You just asked
- 18:42Speaker 1: all men to do that. That's my call to action
- 18:47Speaker 1: of the episode is please, do I have a call
- 18:49Speaker 1: to actually? Please film it? Film me. I want you
- 18:52Speaker 1: guys to film me. I want to feel famous when
- 18:53Speaker 1: I'm in Queensland. No, but you need to be doing
- 18:55Speaker 1: something dangerous I don't know, Like, yeah, I'll do anything. Yeah.
- 18:59Speaker 1: The only time they could ever get you was like
- 19:00Speaker 1: running to the twist. Okay, somebody feel me? And just
- 19:04Speaker 1: like I don't know if I'm in a cafe and
- 19:08Speaker 1: this is so is this is the word I'm trying
- 19:10Speaker 1: to use? Look for here? Self righteous? Is this self
- 19:13Speaker 1: righteous or pretentious? To just assume that people are gonna
- 19:17Speaker 1: know us everywhere everywhere we go, all the way up down? Unrelatables? Yeah,
- 19:24Speaker 1: you know what's crazy? I always thought. I always thought.
- 19:29Speaker 1: I feel like when you start a podcast, or when
- 19:32Speaker 1: we started it, there's a there's a part of you
- 19:33Speaker 1: that thinks this is never gonna work, and then there's
- 19:36Speaker 1: a part of you that thinks, but it could. Yeah,
- 19:39Speaker 1: And so when we thought of the name relatables, right, like,
- 19:42Speaker 1: I don't think that you can a personality wise, I
- 19:45Speaker 1: don't think we can become unrelatable.
- 19:46Speaker 2: But look, personally, I don't think we're there yet. I
- 19:50Speaker 2: do think we're on our way, all right. I do
- 19:52Speaker 2: think we're on our way.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Okay, you're saying that, hey hey wait wait wait wait
- 19:56Speaker 1: wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait
- 19:57Speaker 1: wait wait wait? Yeah, I'm calm. I want it. I
- 20:01Speaker 1: want to just like, what's the word. I want to
- 20:03Speaker 1: put it out there that we're on our MANIFESTI yeah,
- 20:05Speaker 1: on a Manifesteah, but I don't know it.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Like if we start making like a million each year,
- 20:10Speaker 2: what do we change the names a.
- 20:13Speaker 1: Million dollar babies? Yeah, we're out of time. I don't
- 20:16Speaker 1: know we will want to Like, here's the thing, right,
- 20:19Speaker 1: I don't think we'll ever be out of touch.
- 20:21Speaker 2: I look at the thing when I when I'm getting groceries,
- 20:28Speaker 2: I'll look at it. Right, yesterday me and Beth got groceries.
- 20:30Speaker 2: It was like two twenty, you know.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Speaking, I was like ool for some groceries. So see,
- 20:37Speaker 1: I'm still saying that I'm not out of touch. Yeah,
- 20:40Speaker 1: if I didn't say you were going to be like
- 20:42Speaker 1: two twenty, that's nothing. I tell you. I'm not out
- 20:45Speaker 1: of touch. Let me say okay. Also, I got a
- 20:49Speaker 1: coffee the other day. Yeah, and i've and I've noticed inflation. Also,
- 20:54Speaker 1: I got a pie the other day. It used to
- 20:56Speaker 1: be four bucks, yeah, seven fifty. I have a burn
- 20:59Speaker 1: to pick with pies. I got one too, and I
- 21:00Speaker 1: was like, these price, it's a pie? How am I
- 21:02Speaker 1: spending seven fifty on a pie. I'm still hungry after
- 21:05Speaker 1: a pie. Actually, half the time you are. Pies aren't
- 21:08Speaker 1: worth the calories. I'm not gonna lie. Yeah, that's besides
- 21:12Speaker 1: the point, as I was gonna say, is we're not
- 21:13Speaker 1: out of touch it because I'll be out of touch
- 21:14Speaker 1: when i'll pay for a I'm out of touch when
- 21:17Speaker 1: I'm doing my whole grocery shop at Harris Farm and
- 21:20Speaker 1: I'm not looking at the price. That's when you're out
- 21:21Speaker 1: of touch, all right. So do we change the name
- 21:24Speaker 1: when we're out of touch? Maybe? Maybe? Maybe, I don't know.
- 21:32Speaker 2: God is I would like to welcome you all back too,
- 21:35Speaker 2: Week eight of things that aren't just for boys week
- 21:39Speaker 2: at Let's have it, Okay. Hear me out being in
- 21:44Speaker 2: charge of running the barbie slash. If you're not from Australia, barbecue.
- 21:49Speaker 1: The barbecue, I need to hear more. Okay. So where
- 21:54Speaker 1: I'm coming from with this one is, last time I.
- 21:57Speaker 2: Was in Queensland, my dad did a very classic dad thing, okay,
- 22:02Speaker 2: and he says, Jake, come out here, look what I got.
- 22:06Speaker 2: And he bought a new barbecue, you know, his new
- 22:08Speaker 2: pride and joy okay, and he goes, yeah, cool. So
- 22:12Speaker 2: we're having steaks that night, he says to everyone, you
- 22:16Speaker 2: know he like with a steak, takeing.
- 22:17Speaker 1: A medium, rare, medium, well medium.
- 22:20Speaker 2: He starts going around asking every single steak was well done?
- 22:23Speaker 2: It was I can't look mount up to this. Obviously,
- 22:25Speaker 2: get a woman out there. I guarantee you they'll be
- 22:27Speaker 2: able to cook a stake properly and clearly.
- 22:30Speaker 1: My dad can't do it. You know where that comes from?
- 22:32Speaker 1: What listening? Yeah, Dad went out there and he just
- 22:35Speaker 1: like started drinking a beer and just chatting. Forgot about him.
- 22:39Speaker 1: I was with him. I was like truth flip that
- 22:44Speaker 1: couldn't agree more. Jake, and I've got the second one.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Things that aren't just for boys energy drinks so true.
- 22:52Speaker 2: They're also like marcho and dark and I want to say,
- 22:58Speaker 2: like gloomy.
- 23:00Speaker 1: But they also just like have all these ingredients in
- 23:03Speaker 1: them where you don't even know what they are. Yeah,
- 23:05Speaker 1: it's pretty wild. A. That's why Marissa created perfect ted
- 23:08Speaker 1: healthy energy drinks, and she didn't even have us guys
- 23:10Speaker 1: in mind when creating them. Mate, big ups to Marissa.
- 23:15Speaker 1: My favorite apple raspberry did you know? Powered by Marcher
- 23:19Speaker 1: and all natural ingredients. Let me give apple raspberry a go. Eh, yo,
- 23:28Speaker 1: it actually slaps. Where do you get yours.
- 23:29Speaker 2: From Coles bron You know I'm a Coles guy. Baddies,
- 23:41Speaker 2: if this is your first time here, welcome. One thing
- 23:44Speaker 2: we like to do every week is an IG question
- 23:47Speaker 2: where we put a question on our Instagram story and
- 23:50Speaker 2: everyone just answers it and then we read out some
- 23:52Speaker 2: of the answers. So time for IG question.
- 23:54Speaker 1: This week's question was what's something you should know as
- 23:57Speaker 1: an adult but you don't? Which is a question. But Jake,
- 24:01Speaker 1: if you're a baddie and you've been here more than once,
- 24:04Speaker 1: so two times or more, that means that you are
- 24:06Speaker 1: enjoying our content. So if you are enjoying our content, Jake,
- 24:09Speaker 1: where should you go? Patreon? Patreon where they get what
- 24:12Speaker 1: do they get?
- 24:13Speaker 2: On Monday, you guys will receive the book Club episode
- 24:16Speaker 2: five days early.
- 24:18Speaker 1: On Thursday, you'll get an entirely different episode, unfiltered. We'll
- 24:24Speaker 1: say no ads, nothing, all right or just fine, and
- 24:30Speaker 1: we do a five check at the end. All four
- 24:33Speaker 1: five dollars a month. Yeah boy. But back to the question, Jake, So,
- 24:38Speaker 1: what's something that you should know as an adult but
- 24:40Speaker 1: you don't? I'm kind of regretting picking this question now,
- 24:45Speaker 1: why you don't know anything? Now, that's the point I
- 24:51Speaker 1: thought I was doing good as an adult. The term
- 24:53Speaker 1: adult though, like everyone listening right now, we do have
- 24:57Speaker 1: a little bit of a jump at fifty. But I'm
- 24:58Speaker 1: gonna put them in the same category. You never feel
- 25:00Speaker 1: like an adult. Yeah, I wonder when we asked this
- 25:06Speaker 1: question a while ago, when do you feel like? I
- 25:07Speaker 1: remember when I was in school, I was looking at
- 25:09Speaker 1: all these teachers, thinking they've got their ship sorted. Now
- 25:11Speaker 1: I know some of these people. They don't have their
- 25:12Speaker 1: ship sorted. Actually I don't have my ship sorted. Do
- 25:16Speaker 1: you have your ship sorted like my actual poo? No,
- 25:20Speaker 1: I'm like, actually no, I talked about that a lot now,
- 25:22Speaker 1: I mean like you're ship in life.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Oh look, let's be real, like I would say, I'm fine,
- 25:30Speaker 2: I feel like I have my ship said sorted.
- 25:32Speaker 1: You don't even look at the price to exit the
- 25:33Speaker 1: grocery shop.
- 25:34Speaker 2: That's actually a lie, because I just said earlier that
- 25:37Speaker 2: I do you actually just lie.
- 25:38Speaker 1: That's a cover. That's a cover so you can still
- 25:41Speaker 1: call yourself half of the relatables, not the unrelatables. I
- 25:46Speaker 1: want to be unrelated. I want money I see right.
- 25:50Speaker 1: I am telling you right now. I want to come
- 25:53Speaker 1: in one day and say I am unrelatable, but let
- 25:57Speaker 1: me give you advice on how to be related. I
- 25:59Speaker 1: want that genuinely. And you know who gives the best
- 26:03Speaker 1: advice to other people that used to be in a
- 26:05Speaker 1: position that someone's in. So I want that. I'm telling you.
- 26:08Speaker 1: I want that. So I have no reason to lie.
- 26:10Speaker 1: I would never lie to the batties anyway. What's something
- 26:13Speaker 1: you would never lie to the baddies? You just said,
- 26:16Speaker 1: what what year land river does your dad drive? They
- 26:21Speaker 1: didn't ask you. Are the baddies are listening? You know
- 26:24Speaker 1: the answer. If the baddies asked me, I'll tell them
- 26:26Speaker 1: next episode. Ask me what's something you should know as
- 26:34Speaker 1: an adult? But you don't? Taxes? I don't understand them
- 26:38Speaker 1: at all? A I am.
- 26:41Speaker 2: When I read this, I think that schools everywhere could
- 26:47Speaker 2: very easily get rid of the accusations that they aren't
- 26:51Speaker 2: particularly needed. How there's always people saying like, how about
- 26:55Speaker 2: instead of teaching me about history, or instead of teaching
- 26:58Speaker 2: me about Pythagoras theorem, teach me how to do my taxes.
- 27:02Speaker 2: You know what's crazy is like so so many people
- 27:05Speaker 2: say that all they need to do is just add
- 27:07Speaker 2: how to do taxes into the curriculum, and everyone's going
- 27:09Speaker 2: to be like, school's great, we need schools, we need schools.
- 27:12Speaker 2: Just add it into the curriculum. It'd be like a week.
- 27:14Speaker 2: Well what's it called.
- 27:15Speaker 1: It's not the Illuminati, but like those conspiracies, where like
- 27:19Speaker 1: school is to keep people in the system, So they're
- 27:22Speaker 1: not going to teach you how to get out of
- 27:23Speaker 1: the system by doing your tax as well. They want
- 27:25Speaker 1: to keep you in the system. So we just go
- 27:27Speaker 1: to pay a tax man, or we do it online
- 27:29Speaker 1: on some stupid little app and then we're being kept
- 27:32Speaker 1: in the system, which is like a conspiracy or I'm
- 27:34Speaker 1: part of the Illuminati now or something that triangle with
- 27:36Speaker 1: a little eye and when I say something, I don't
- 27:38Speaker 1: understand that. But if the Illuminati exists, I'm in. I'm
- 27:43Speaker 1: one hundred percent. I could see you being like a
- 27:46Speaker 1: conspiracist when you're older. A do you know how fucking
- 27:48Speaker 1: cool it would be to be in the Illuminati and
- 27:51Speaker 1: be like this all powerful part of this all powerful
- 27:55Speaker 1: group that controls everything. No wonder they keep it a secret.
- 27:58Speaker 1: I also would keep it a seat. I can see
- 28:01Speaker 1: you like God forbid, Beth dies first, but you're like
- 28:05Speaker 1: eighty three, yeah, all alone, have a dog like walking
- 28:08Speaker 1: into your house and like quick, put your tinfoil hat
- 28:10Speaker 1: on Addy. People see that's stupid. Don't be ridiculous. That's
- 28:14Speaker 1: just stupid. And why are you there? Why are you there?
- 28:19Speaker 1: Why am I coming over? You just said you're there.
- 28:21Speaker 1: You said, put your timfoil hat on, Addy. Yeah, I'm
- 28:23Speaker 1: coming over to see here recording.
- 28:25Speaker 2: And so if I'm in my house and I'm a
- 28:26Speaker 2: tim foil hat guy, why would I be wearing a
- 28:28Speaker 2: tim foil hat in my house because I'm obviously going
- 28:30Speaker 2: to have the house lined with fucking tin four.
- 28:32Speaker 1: So if if you go outside, put your tin four
- 28:34Speaker 1: hat on, thinking before you talk, please. Okay. So yeah,
- 28:40Speaker 1: that's a good point, but it also proves my theory.
- 28:44Speaker 1: All right, you'll relate with this one. What's something that
- 28:47Speaker 1: you should know as an adult? But you don't how
- 28:49Speaker 1: to use the bus? I know how to use the bus.
- 28:51Speaker 1: I used it. I didn't until like a month ago.
- 28:54Speaker 1: You go use the bus, I bet you know I don't. No, no, no, no,
- 28:57Speaker 1: what about of course you don't like out of touch buses?
- 29:00Speaker 1: You I bet you drive everywhere in pay for petrol,
- 29:02Speaker 1: don't you? I do. Some people out here are struggling
- 29:08Speaker 1: me catching the bus. No, but you you drive? You
- 29:11Speaker 1: use the bus for like convenience of not parking, not
- 29:14Speaker 1: because it's cheaper. It is cheaper. I don't have paper
- 29:18Speaker 1: parking supposed parking. Now, I didn't think about parking, but
- 29:20Speaker 1: the convenience of not yea twice now bust into the city.
- 29:24Speaker 1: Who Why didn't anybody tell me about this? I feel
- 29:27Speaker 1: like people did?
- 29:28Speaker 8: Yeah, but what am I gonna do? Listened about it? Okay,
- 29:36Speaker 8: what's something you should know as an adult? But you
- 29:37Speaker 8: don't how to control myself from eating the whole fridge?
- 29:42Speaker 1: Oh yeah? Self control with food like chocolate especially is
- 29:45Speaker 1: so hard as an adult. Yeah. I keep telling myself
- 29:48Speaker 1: I can't be buying it, but then I buy it.
- 29:49Speaker 1: I feel like so. I remember as a kid going
- 29:51Speaker 1: to some of my mate's houses and looking in their pantry.
- 29:55Speaker 1: It's like a gold mine in there. Do you think
- 29:58Speaker 1: that's a better parenting approach? Sense of Now I'm an
- 30:01Speaker 1: adult and I can buy my own stuff. I was
- 30:03Speaker 1: the kid who always had apple sandwiches and the shitter snacks. Ever, Yeah,
- 30:08Speaker 1: but now I have free will yep. Now they didn't
- 30:10Speaker 1: get that. I think best similar has said this, I'm like,
- 30:13Speaker 1: oh fuck, like I don't know how to stop. Now
- 30:15Speaker 1: I've got it. But if I was a little fatty
- 30:17Speaker 1: as a kid, yeah, i'd be better I'd be better off. Now,
- 30:20Speaker 1: will you get.
- 30:22Speaker 2: So the way I said to Beth once, you know,
- 30:25Speaker 2: she said to me that her parents were an ingredient's household.
- 30:29Speaker 2: So I said, oh, wow, that's really good, and she
- 30:31Speaker 2: said this super healthy and I was like, that's so good.
- 30:33Speaker 2: She's like, look, she was like, yeah, it's good, but
- 30:35Speaker 2: also bad because we never had anything good or like
- 30:40Speaker 2: considered yummy. So now that they all have money and
- 30:45Speaker 2: work and have money, they don't really understand the portions
- 30:50Speaker 2: or it's not even that, like they understand portions, but
- 30:53Speaker 2: the control of sticking to one portion it's just not
- 30:57Speaker 2: a thing. And so growing up with access to just
- 31:02Speaker 2: delicious food, you know, you have it, and you have it,
- 31:05Speaker 2: and you have it and you have it, but then
- 31:06Speaker 2: sometimes you get a bit sick of it. So you're
- 31:07Speaker 2: kind of like, well, I know it's going to be
- 31:08Speaker 2: there still, you know what I mean. So it's like
- 31:10Speaker 2: it's like how a dog always eats all their food,
- 31:13Speaker 2: or Henry does at least for some reason. Heyst for
- 31:15Speaker 2: some reason, Henry thinks he's never getting another meal. So
- 31:18Speaker 2: but it's like that, Yeah, so I think it is
- 31:20Speaker 2: a better parenting proach. She just having some good ship.
- 31:23Speaker 1: To be fair. So I remember, this is the first
- 31:25Speaker 1: time I ever experienced it. I was dating a girl
- 31:27Speaker 1: and the juxtaposition of our households were when we had icebox,
- 31:32Speaker 1: were only allow one at a time. What language were
- 31:34Speaker 1: you just talking? What juxtaposition? I know you know what
- 31:39Speaker 1: that means, and I also believe that you used it
- 31:41Speaker 1: in the right sense, But like, why let me use it?
- 31:44Speaker 1: Because why it was in fourth wing? Did you read it?
- 31:48Speaker 1: I did read for they said when they were having sex,
- 31:53Speaker 1: Violet Sorongel said the juxtaposition of like something rubbing her
- 31:56Speaker 1: clip and then something else on, like another part of
- 31:58Speaker 1: her body was giving two different sensations. And I was like, Jag,
- 32:02Speaker 1: better fucking pick up on this. But you didn't know
- 32:05Speaker 1: why I was hard. I just heard juxtaposition. Yeah, what
- 32:12Speaker 1: do you gets horny of the big words? He's like, well,
- 32:14Speaker 1: I was like, oh that story. Oh no. So as
- 32:16Speaker 1: a child, we were only ever allowed one ice block,
- 32:19Speaker 1: whereas she had to eat as many as she could
- 32:21Speaker 1: at the time because her other siblings would eat him.
- 32:24Speaker 1: So I learned control in that aspect because when we
- 32:28Speaker 1: were allowed a sweet little treat like an ice block,
- 32:30Speaker 1: we were only allowed one. And I guess that was
- 32:32Speaker 1: the self control. But it was kind of like Mum
- 32:33Speaker 1: was telling me no, not I was telling myself no. Yeah,
- 32:36Speaker 1: but I don't know parenting would be so hard, like
- 32:39Speaker 1: no judge at least correct? Yeah, nothing like what is correct?
- 32:42Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 32:43Speaker 1: Like, yeah, who's to say in what sense? She's such
- 32:46Speaker 1: a good obviously there's a line. But like for all
- 32:48Speaker 1: this stuff, I'm hot, Are you hot? Yeah, guys, it's
- 32:53Speaker 1: hot in this room where used to we're babies were
- 32:54Speaker 1: used to air on anyway, we'll get her. Also, I
- 32:57Speaker 1: wore long pants. I can give you some short it's
- 33:00Speaker 1: thinking maybe we should do it in our andes.
- 33:02Speaker 9: Yeah, you just want to get I wore long pants,
- 33:06Speaker 9: thick and like checking the it's like twenty two degrees
- 33:09Speaker 9: bit muggy, and I was like, you know, what's fine
- 33:11Speaker 9: for this small amount of time I spend outside, I'll
- 33:12Speaker 9: be sweet.
- 33:13Speaker 1: Air on inside and I can't believe you guys haven't
- 33:16Speaker 1: got ducted air on any whatever. What's something you should
- 33:22Speaker 1: know as an adult? But you don't how to use
- 33:24Speaker 1: the correct yore? Oh yeah, this is annoying though, Like
- 33:28Speaker 1: I will show a little bit of like I don't
- 33:30Speaker 1: know what's the word sympathy, Yeah, sympathy when someone uses
- 33:34Speaker 1: the wrong one, because I still understand what they mean.
- 33:36Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly if you're the type of person that corrects
- 33:39Speaker 2: the yore that someone used. Yeah, scum of the earth,
- 33:42Speaker 2: scum of the.
- 33:43Speaker 1: Earth, cut throat. I feel like we're in a coopy mooon.
- 33:46Speaker 1: What about there? They're there and there. Yeah, it's hard
- 33:49Speaker 1: to I have mastered them. Did you know that? Mastered? Okay,
- 33:53Speaker 1: let's test you, all right, give me scenarios and what
- 33:55Speaker 1: and I'll tell you what they're to use. Okay, no, no, no, no,
- 33:58Speaker 1: I'll say, and you tell me which one they are? Okay, Okay,
- 34:01Speaker 1: you know them? Yeah? I think so. I don't know. Okay,
- 34:06Speaker 1: there is a cat t h e R. There are
- 34:11Speaker 1: a lot of cats in this room. Well, the way
- 34:15Speaker 1: you said it, I did it wrong. The way you
- 34:17Speaker 1: said it would still be this is w h e E.
- 34:20Speaker 1: But if you wanted to say there are like, yeah,
- 34:23Speaker 1: that's what you're trying to get. You're trying to It's okay,
- 34:26Speaker 1: it's hard when you're trying to say the sentence in
- 34:28Speaker 1: real life. I've never thought of it this way. They're
- 34:30Speaker 1: over there? Which one? They're over there? They are over there?
- 34:34Speaker 1: They t g yr yeah and there? Which was there?
- 34:39Speaker 1: That water bottle is theirs? Oh there's yeah t H
- 34:42Speaker 1: E I R S. Yeah, yeah, good ship brought. We
- 34:48Speaker 1: are not relatable at all. Ship. We should call our
- 34:52Speaker 1: podcast we literally just like there. Ten minutes ago we
- 34:57Speaker 1: just said that school is like not great? Did stuff
- 35:00Speaker 1: for us? Clearly you dropped out though, and you still
- 35:02Speaker 1: know yeah yeah, ten years of school. Okay, what's something
- 35:07Speaker 1: that you should know as an adult? But you don't
- 35:09Speaker 1: what the different oven settings mean? Oh no, all ovens
- 35:13Speaker 1: are different, and I am not spending double fan, one fan,
- 35:18Speaker 1: circle fan. Also, why do we need fan forced and
- 35:22Speaker 1: why do we need conventional? Why don't we just have
- 35:23Speaker 1: bon and off? What's the agree? How about on and
- 35:27Speaker 1: off my cake? Yeah? How about every single person that's
- 35:30Speaker 1: creating a recipe create the recipe for just one style
- 35:34Speaker 1: of oven setting? You know how every house has an oven? Yeah,
- 35:37Speaker 1: how can you could get away with not having an oven?
- 35:39Speaker 1: A I literally don't use it hot plate in the microwave,
- 35:42Speaker 1: in a teering, I do not use it. Air fryer. Yeah,
- 35:45Speaker 1: oh yeah, I don't forget about that way. I just
- 35:48Speaker 1: they're just like portable ovens. Yeah, and you know they
- 35:52Speaker 1: have one setting on and off and then also you
- 35:54Speaker 1: know what they have if they have more than one setting. Actually,
- 35:57Speaker 1: the settings on an air fryer are just on and off,
- 35:59Speaker 1: and then all the thing is is like if it's
- 36:01Speaker 1: a different setting, it's just a different amount of time
- 36:03Speaker 1: and temperature. Yeah, simple and making it so easy for us. Yeah,
- 36:06Speaker 1: way better ovens, Dad, you're trying to be different. Ovens
- 36:09Speaker 1: are trying to be ovens. PR team needs to get on. Yeah,
- 36:15Speaker 1: we should make an oven. We should call it the
- 36:17Speaker 1: relatables oven. We should actually make an oven called the Yeah,
- 36:21Speaker 1: you know, the relatable oven oven. We've dug ourself a
- 36:24Speaker 1: whole here, the ovens we use and not the poor
- 36:28Speaker 1: man's oven. So they've got all these extra settings on
- 36:30Speaker 1: them because we're used to them.
- 36:32Speaker 2: We're out of touch. Shit, right, what's something you should
- 36:40Speaker 2: know as an adult but you don't? Okay, put toilet
- 36:45Speaker 2: paper on the toilet water before pooping.
- 36:48Speaker 1: I've heard this before like once or twice, and I
- 36:50Speaker 1: think it's crazy. Only it stops the splashing. I didn't
- 36:52Speaker 1: know that. I love the splash, Actually I'm not. Something
- 36:57Speaker 1: about the splash makes it feel like the toilet's kissing
- 36:59Speaker 1: me at your own home. Discuss anywhere anywhere else. I'm
- 37:04Speaker 1: getting an STD check if I get splashed. Ok, that's
- 37:07Speaker 1: one good thing about Vanda girl. I've said that before.
- 37:10Speaker 1: Like when you're really touches like the side of the seat,
- 37:12Speaker 1: you're like, oh my god, I'm dying. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 37:14Speaker 1: you need to get checked. Also, another good thing about
- 37:17Speaker 1: when you get a little splash is if it hits cheek,
- 37:20Speaker 1: I'm pissed. If it hits direct, I'm cheering the cleanups better.
- 37:26Speaker 1: It's got water. I heard a thing about bidets too,
- 37:29Speaker 1: because that's water, clean water heating your asshole. But also
- 37:31Speaker 1: so it goes up and then goes back down and
- 37:34Speaker 1: then lands back on top of the bidet sprayer. So
- 37:37Speaker 1: technically the next person who use that toilet is just
- 37:39Speaker 1: respraying your ass water.
- 37:41Speaker 2: No no, no, But like it doesn't land back down
- 37:43Speaker 2: because the water is constantly going out physics.
- 37:47Speaker 1: He didn't learn that before you speak? Okay, what's something
- 37:52Speaker 1: that you should know as an adult? But you don't
- 37:54Speaker 1: how to read an analog clock? Okay, I just need time?
- 37:59Speaker 1: Are you not good at it? I can? I'm great.
- 38:01Speaker 1: How long do you need to look at one? I
- 38:04Speaker 1: wish we had one to hear? Bang? How long do
- 38:06Speaker 1: you need to look at an analog clock before you
- 38:08Speaker 1: know the time?
- 38:09Speaker 2: I'm actually really good at it, genuinely, give me, like,
- 38:11Speaker 2: how many seconds do you think?
- 38:13Speaker 1: Three? Three seconds? And you know the time? Yeah? No,
- 38:16Speaker 1: I need ten? Really I need seconds. Is there an
- 38:19Speaker 1: anologue clock on your phone? Let's what you can get
- 38:21Speaker 1: one for sure? Okay? Oie more of like, I don't
- 38:27Speaker 1: even really know how to do this, but I'm screen
- 38:29Speaker 1: recording my screen with an analogue clock. App open guys,
- 38:31Speaker 1: right now? Are you looking at that mirror? The mirror
- 38:35Speaker 1: behind me? You dog? Tell me to open? Mate? Also, wait,
- 38:39Speaker 1: this is the time of right now? Yeah? So do
- 38:41Speaker 1: you know what time it is? I have a rough
- 38:43Speaker 1: that's the me. I'm sure I can. I'm allowed to
- 38:46Speaker 1: take that into my you know what? Actually? Fuck this
- 38:49Speaker 1: next episode? Or no? Not next episodereon. No, no, no, no, I'm sorry, guys, Patreon.
- 38:55Speaker 1: We're filming Patreon in two days. You're going to have
- 38:57Speaker 1: a bunch of notes for me.
- 38:58Speaker 2: I am going to buy an analog clock, and I
- 39:02Speaker 2: am going to change your time to anything.
- 39:04Speaker 1: Okay, okay, and then we're going to test Oddie. Yeah,
- 39:07Speaker 1: I'm telling you three second, but let's go like just
- 39:09Speaker 1: just for the sake of the batteries, right now, that's easy.
- 39:12Speaker 1: Two forty Yeah, you're right, it's actually two thirty nine.
- 39:18Speaker 1: That's the problem with analog clogs too. You have to round. Yeah, yeah,
- 39:22Speaker 1: you have to round.
- 39:23Speaker 2: What's something you should know as an adult, but you
- 39:25Speaker 2: don't if you use cold or hot air when your
- 39:28Speaker 2: car window is foggy.
- 39:29Speaker 1: I saw a few about this, isn't it like open
- 39:31Speaker 1: to interpretation. I always find cold works. I feel like
- 39:36Speaker 1: it depends on the conditions. I would say I go
- 39:40Speaker 1: cold more than hot, but sometimes I feel like hot.
- 39:43Speaker 1: I think cold works quicker. But in the middle of winter,
- 39:47Speaker 1: if it's foggy and you put the hot on, it
- 39:51Speaker 1: takes a minute, but it does work. So there you
- 39:54Speaker 1: guys go, we know that one. Yeah, I help you
- 39:56Speaker 1: out there. Okay, tell me if you know this one.
- 39:58Speaker 1: I feel like I feel like you won't. What's something
- 40:02Speaker 1: that you should know as an adult but you don't? North? South,
- 40:05Speaker 1: east West? Easy? Go north north South? No, North's not
- 40:10Speaker 1: up you south? Oh? Wait? Oh? In this direction? Oh no,
- 40:15Speaker 1: I don't know that. Wait you want me to tell you,
- 40:17Speaker 1: like as in like point in the direction which way
- 40:19Speaker 1: north and south is? It's like on a compass, it's
- 40:23Speaker 1: north is jake? Point it up to space for north? Actually,
- 40:28Speaker 1: if you're at the north poland you have to go north?
- 40:30Speaker 1: Where you're going? Answer that North? Okay? Which way is north? You?
- 40:35Speaker 1: I can't do it in this room? North is that way?
- 40:37Speaker 1: How do you know northeast? How do I? How do
- 40:40Speaker 1: I know? Why I can trust you northeast? We just
- 40:42Speaker 1: think where like where you are in positions? Are things
- 40:44Speaker 1: that you do know? Is north? So Queensland's north? Yes?
- 40:46Speaker 1: Where's Queensland? Like? I don't know which way this house
- 40:50Speaker 1: is facing. How AMU supposed to know that it's facing northeast? East?
- 40:53Speaker 1: The north? There way? So that I'm average not? I
- 40:57Speaker 1: mean that's north. It's like there. You know I couldn't
- 41:01Speaker 1: be anywhere and tell you. Yeah. Oh yeah, nah, if
- 41:04Speaker 1: you dropped me and I didn't have like I have
- 41:05Speaker 1: a brief knowledge and landmarks, Yeah all right. And I've
- 41:09Speaker 1: always struggled, like when I used to be a growl
- 41:11Speaker 1: and people were like, oh, yeah, the wind's blowing southwest. Yeah,
- 41:16Speaker 1: like look at it. And then they say look at
- 41:17Speaker 1: the flags or look at the wind, and I'm like,
- 41:19Speaker 1: I'm looking. I don't understand. The thing that sucks the
- 41:21Speaker 1: most is that just used to be a thing that
- 41:23Speaker 1: people knew where north wll my dad's just like based
- 41:26Speaker 1: off the sun and ship. It's like what if you
- 41:28Speaker 1: got an internal magnetic compass in your brain? Are you
- 41:31Speaker 1: were turtle? What? They finished school so you were turtle?
- 41:35Speaker 1: Actually it was just they lived life without GPS, Like
- 41:38Speaker 1: what the hell? GPS has been a great invention but
- 41:41Speaker 1: also ruined us. But it hasn't ruined us. What's going
- 41:45Speaker 1: to happen? Like it's going to go away? I doubt it.
- 41:47Speaker 1: I was thinking about the other day, I was going
- 41:48Speaker 1: to a festival and like we timed it obviously with
- 41:50Speaker 1: a GPS with Google Maps, Yeah, and I was thinking
- 41:53Speaker 1: like it would have been so blissful, like you knew
- 41:56Speaker 1: it took two hours to go to Sydney and like
- 41:58Speaker 1: you had no idea about traffic, no idea how to
- 41:59Speaker 1: get there, but you left like two and a half hours.
- 42:01Speaker 1: You went through a map. You might have went to
- 42:02Speaker 1: the beach first, just because like you could, like in
- 42:04Speaker 1: a sense of like you had to because it was
- 42:06Speaker 1: going to take forever. It's like a day or deal.
- 42:07Speaker 1: But now we're like stressed about time all the time
- 42:09Speaker 1: because we're like now Google says in our thirty eight,
- 42:11Speaker 1: and it's got to take it the our thirty eight.
- 42:12Speaker 1: I want I prefer to know. I think that you
- 42:16Speaker 1: know how everyone's like we have a literal we have
- 42:19Speaker 1: every We know everything because of the phone in our pocket.
- 42:23Speaker 1: All you have to do is Google it or chat GPT. Right,
- 42:26Speaker 1: we know everything because of the phone in our Talking
- 42:28Speaker 1: about parenting though, this definitely wasn't a conscious choice, but
- 42:31Speaker 1: when I used to go to soccer and Sydney every weekend,
- 42:34Speaker 1: I was on bloody map duty because my parents didn't
- 42:37Speaker 1: own a GPS. Even like that was you had to
- 42:40Speaker 1: read a map. Yeah, every time I went with Dad
- 42:42Speaker 1: or Mum, they had they like sticky noted the right
- 42:47Speaker 1: pages and then I would be like all right on
- 42:48Speaker 1: street bloody Craig Street, turn left and then getting us there.
- 42:51Speaker 1: It was crazy. So I'm actually okay at as well.
- 42:54Speaker 1: That's probably why the knowledge or if you handed me
- 42:58Speaker 1: a map and you said so, like, technically a map
- 43:02Speaker 1: that has the destination should be able to get you
- 43:04Speaker 1: to that destination. Yeah, I like my life. They wouldn't
- 43:10Speaker 1: get passenger obviously, but I wouldn't get there with that
- 43:13Speaker 1: was my job. But I was like, honestly, like gps
- 43:15Speaker 1: is were amented then, but we didn't use it. Why. Yeah,
- 43:19Speaker 1: I don't know, what's something you should know as an
- 43:22Speaker 1: adult but you don't hmm control? Backspace on a keyboard
- 43:27Speaker 1: removes words, not letters. Mind blown? Did not know that?
- 43:31Speaker 1: Can I tell you something? You knew that? I didn't
- 43:33Speaker 1: know that. But when I saw this, I tried it
- 43:35Speaker 1: all right.
- 43:36Speaker 2: I typed this whole thing out that just that whole sentence,
- 43:40Speaker 2: and I did it expecting one word the whole line
- 43:42Speaker 2: went oh.
- 43:43Speaker 1: And also it's confusing because Matt keyboards are different with
- 43:47Speaker 1: like control and yeah and commands confuses me. A what's
- 43:51Speaker 1: something that you should know as an adult but you don't?
- 43:53Speaker 1: Lesson rights? Oh? I know that? Yes, I'm like bang
- 43:57Speaker 1: over my left and right. I'm Sam. I feel that
- 43:59Speaker 1: one's relatable, and my last one, this one's I don't
- 44:02Speaker 1: think anyone in the world can do this. What's something
- 44:04Speaker 1: that you should know as an adult, but you don't
- 44:06Speaker 1: how much fucking pasta to cook for one person.
- 44:10Speaker 2: Here's my thing with cooking pasta. It's just no matter
- 44:14Speaker 2: how much I put in, is how much I'm eating.
- 44:16Speaker 2: So sometimes I get a lot, sometimes I get a little.
- 44:20Speaker 1: If it's there, it's gone. Talking about being out of touch.
- 44:24Speaker 1: Past is cheap. If I could, I'm like, I'll have
- 44:28Speaker 1: too much then I'll just throw it out. I know
- 44:29Speaker 1: I am a waster as well of past it because
- 44:32Speaker 1: passes like a dollar from with the I get the
- 44:34Speaker 1: colds brand. I don't buy that premium Italian stuff, so
- 44:36Speaker 1: I'm still the poor man's I'm in touch I I pasta. Yeah, No,
- 44:43Speaker 1: I'm I'm a waster. So I feel like I feel like, No,
- 44:48Speaker 1: I don't know. I was trying to justify why I'm
- 44:50Speaker 1: a waster.
- 44:51Speaker 2: Can I tell you something? Yesterday best and I made
- 44:54Speaker 2: burgers and I had the meat already.
- 44:57Speaker 1: So what I do is I buy.
- 45:00Speaker 2: I haven't been buying it and cooking it and then
- 45:02Speaker 2: freezing it and cooked portions. I've been buying it and
- 45:04Speaker 2: freezing it in raw portions. Yeah, so I got two
- 45:07Speaker 2: portions out and they were thawing out. By the time
- 45:10Speaker 2: we got to the point where we wanted to cook
- 45:11Speaker 2: our burgers. There was like a ball in the middle
- 45:14Speaker 2: of each one about this big that was still frozen.
- 45:17Speaker 2: So I was going to chuck them out, Like I
- 45:18Speaker 2: just got the thought stuff from the outside, and I
- 45:20Speaker 2: was going to chuck them out. And I said to
- 45:23Speaker 2: Beth at the end, I was like, I'm probably gonna
- 45:25Speaker 2: chuck these out day and she was like, just put
- 45:26Speaker 2: them in like a plastic bag and use them tomorrow.
- 45:28Speaker 2: I'd put them in a plastic bag, but I was
- 45:30Speaker 2: going to chuck it.
- 45:30Speaker 1: Good influence. I was going to chuck them though, Yeah,
- 45:33Speaker 1: you've done so we're not talking about me, baddies. Unfortunately,
- 45:46Speaker 1: this is the end of the episode. But if you
- 45:48Speaker 1: liked it, you know where patreon is. It is time
- 45:51Speaker 1: for comments.
- 45:52Speaker 2: I say where patreon is patreon dot com, forward slash
- 45:55Speaker 2: Relatable sixty nine.
- 45:57Speaker 1: You did it good too, but it is time for comment.
- 46:00Speaker 1: So if you want to get your comment read, simply
- 46:01Speaker 1: commment below on the episode you're listening to. I have
- 46:04Speaker 1: Steph Price. I've seen this name a few times, so
- 46:06Speaker 1: shout out to you. Yeah, she said, if you wanted to,
- 46:10Speaker 1: he would. I think it is more of a comfort
- 46:12Speaker 1: quote to girls. Personally. I read it similarly to whatever
- 46:15Speaker 1: is meant to be should be. Also, I think instead
- 46:19Speaker 1: of a change in pod scene, a YouTube side hustle
- 46:21Speaker 1: doing something funny or a funny challenge would be so good.
- 46:26Speaker 1: What was she answer? What did I ask if you
- 46:31Speaker 1: liked us driving in your car? Oh for change of
- 46:34Speaker 1: pod scene? Yes? Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, well
- 46:36Speaker 1: we changed the scene. We literally did. Yeah. Okay, I've
- 46:42Speaker 1: got from episode two weeks ago. I believe this is
- 46:46Speaker 1: the episode where we asked for people to vote France. Yeah,
- 46:50Speaker 1: someone's name this is YouTube By the way, I think
- 46:53Speaker 1: their name is hell Bringer. They said, okay, but Violet
- 46:58Speaker 1: is very easily broken and constantly needing repairs. So what
- 47:04Speaker 1: I want that? Maybe it's a great call to call
- 47:06Speaker 1: your great call the baddies. It's time for the baddies
- 47:11Speaker 1: sign off. If you want to get called by us,
- 47:13Speaker 1: the link will be in the description to low Hello
- 47:16Speaker 1: below below. How'd that come out? Let's call Amy. Hello, Hello?
- 47:23Speaker 1: Is this Amy? Yes? Amy, It's Jake and not from
- 47:26Speaker 1: the relatables.
- 47:27Speaker 6: How are you?
- 47:28Speaker 3: Hey?
- 47:31Speaker 1: We're doing really good.
- 47:33Speaker 2: We are calling to ask you for a huge favor,
- 47:35Speaker 2: and that favor is to sign off our episode.
- 47:38Speaker 6: Oh my god, I'm on my lunch break a great time. Yes,
- 47:48Speaker 6: I'm just working in retail at lots of time up
- 47:51Speaker 6: on the Gold Coast.
- 47:55Speaker 1: You could sign it off with some advice. Do you
- 47:58Speaker 1: have any jokes you could say? Stay back?
- 48:06Speaker 6: Oh, I'm gonna say stay bad. You also, I also,
- 48:10Speaker 6: you missed my friend Kate. You tried calling her, I
- 48:13Speaker 6: think last week and she missed your call, and I
- 48:15Speaker 6: just thought that was really funny.
- 48:17Speaker 1: Better call Kate one. I think I actually she.
- 48:19Speaker 6: Sent she sent me your voicemail you left her.
- 48:22Speaker 1: You know, I'm pretty sure we actually said we were
- 48:27Speaker 1: going to call it this week, and we did it
- 48:29Speaker 1: were okay, that's so funny. Go rob it in and
- 48:33Speaker 1: tell her that we're going to call it well weeks.
- 48:39Speaker 1: So funny. You have a good day.
- 48:41Speaker 6: Thank you you too.
- 48:42Speaker 1: By Sorry Kate, I completely forgot that's in my messages.
- 48:50Speaker 1: Thank you for listening. We love you. Stay bad
