- 0:00Speaker 1: Something we haven't gotten into you with Peyton, And I
- 0:02Speaker 1: don't know if you guys all know this. I know
- 0:03Speaker 1: it's been the Amazon Prime thing. And that's why I'm
- 0:06Speaker 1: trying to figure out, because when you get Amazon Prime,
- 0:08Speaker 1: you get really good deals on things, right supposedly, right, yeah, right, Kyle, right,
- 0:13Speaker 1: all right.
- 0:13Speaker 2: I don't believe in Amazon Prime deals right now because
- 0:18Speaker 2: everything I want isn't that great of a deal.
- 0:20Speaker 1: However, essentially it should be that way. Well, Peyton's husband
- 0:24Speaker 1: got a new car, and I was just curious if
- 0:26Speaker 1: there was something on Amazon Prime or do what did
- 0:28Speaker 1: he get? Because you you're like, well, you just paid
- 0:30Speaker 1: off your car.
- 0:31Speaker 2: I did just pay off my car. And it makes
- 0:33Speaker 2: me kind of feel some kind of way because now
- 0:36Speaker 2: I want a new car.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Don't do it, don't do it.
- 0:40Speaker 2: No, I want a new car. You gotta he gotta
- 0:43Speaker 2: like some Kia k for something. I don't know. It
- 0:46Speaker 2: was like, you're dumb for not getting a Toyota first
- 0:49Speaker 2: of all, because I am a Toyota girl through and through.
- 0:52Speaker 2: But I mean, I get it he wanted his new
- 0:54Speaker 2: shiny toy But I'm not gonna lie to you guys.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Like we were sitting there chat, and I was like,
- 0:58Speaker 2: kind of selfish of you to get a new car?
- 1:00Speaker 1: Why did he need it? Like it?
- 1:04Speaker 2: But here's my thing, Like, you take my car that's
- 1:07Speaker 2: already paid off, and then I'll get a new car.
- 1:10Speaker 1: That should be you feel like, now that you're married,
- 1:12Speaker 1: that should be the husband's sacrifice.
- 1:14Speaker 2: That should be the sacrifice. He should take my car.
- 1:16Speaker 2: There's no car payment. You don't have to worry about
- 1:18Speaker 2: car payment. I will pay the car payment for a
- 1:20Speaker 2: new Land Cruiser. I want one.
- 1:22Speaker 1: So those are so nice? So are you? Are you
- 1:27Speaker 1: like when he when he gets this new car, does
- 1:29Speaker 1: he talk to you, Hey, I'm looking at these cars?
- 1:31Speaker 1: What do you think? Or did he just showed up
- 1:32Speaker 1: with a new car?
- 1:33Speaker 2: He just showed up with a new car. But also
- 1:35Speaker 2: my like I grew up in the car dealership. My
- 1:37Speaker 2: dad has been a car salesman since before I could
- 1:39Speaker 2: talk a walk. So they literally just left and did
- 1:42Speaker 2: their own thing.
- 1:43Speaker 1: And showed up with the Okay, wait, so your husband
- 1:47Speaker 1: comes home with a new car. He says about a car,
- 1:49Speaker 1: doesn't talk to you about it. I mean, I'm no
- 1:54Speaker 1: wedding expert, a marriage expert, but I kind of feel
- 1:56Speaker 1: like a purchase, like that is the conversation a husband
- 1:59Speaker 1: and wife should have.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Well, that's how they do their finances, and that's all him.
- 2:03Speaker 2: I don't have nothing to do with that, but I mean,
- 2:05Speaker 2: obviously I know because it's we're married and that's whatever.
- 2:09Speaker 2: But he brought up because earlier this week, on Monday,
- 2:14Speaker 2: his car wouldn't start. But he just got a new battery.
- 2:16Speaker 2: So we were like, what's going on, And quite honestly,
- 2:18Speaker 2: I think the car is just fried and has run
- 2:20Speaker 2: its scores. So he told me that he was talking
- 2:23Speaker 2: to my dad about getting a new car, but I
- 2:25Speaker 2: didn't know until Wednesday when I woke up from my
- 2:27Speaker 2: nap he had a new car. He did talk to her,
- 2:33Speaker 2: he like brought it up, but he didn't sit me
- 2:34Speaker 2: down and say, hey, this.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Is how much I'm looking to spend.
- 2:37Speaker 2: I'm thinking about putting this down payment down. I don't
- 2:39Speaker 2: know how much money he spent on it. I don't
- 2:40Speaker 2: know how much that loan is.
- 2:42Speaker 1: So you guys have a combined all that stuff.
- 2:45Speaker 2: He actually checked me yesterday for not changing my last
- 2:48Speaker 2: name yet. I was like, it's a really daunting task.
- 2:52Speaker 2: I was like, it's gonna be something I have to
- 2:54Speaker 2: sit down for like four or five hours uninterrupted to
- 2:57Speaker 2: do He said, did you do that every day? It is?
- 3:00Speaker 1: I didn't change my name until I had Addie.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just a very daunting task that I don't
- 3:05Speaker 2: want to talk.
- 3:05Speaker 1: It takes a minute, and it shows how much you're
- 3:08Speaker 1: into it. He did your husband get a new car,
- 3:11Speaker 1: like a twenty twenty six, twenty twenty seven. He got it.
- 3:13Speaker 1: It's new to him.
- 3:13Speaker 2: He got home and there was fifty miles on that car. Car,
- 3:18Speaker 2: and it is beautiful. I can't wait to drive it,
- 3:20Speaker 2: I told him first time we got on the car,
- 3:21Speaker 2: is like, I can't wait for you to take me
- 3:23Speaker 2: on a road trip in this day.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Do you know you could do? I mean, this is
- 3:25Speaker 1: a thing that happens, It has happened in my life
- 3:27Speaker 1: where you just take over anyway. Hey, I'm gonna take it,
- 3:31Speaker 1: because that's that's happened to me so many times with Stacy.
- 3:34Speaker 1: She's like, I like this, I'm gonna drive this now
- 3:36Speaker 1: for sure.
- 3:36Speaker 2: I don't think he would like me driving his car, though.
- 3:38Speaker 2: I am, like, I'm kind of a distracted driver, and
- 3:41Speaker 2: not in the sense like that I'm on my phone,
- 3:43Speaker 2: but in the sense that like I'm looking at the
- 3:45Speaker 2: birds and I'm looking at the billboard.
- 3:47Speaker 1: You know, the first new car are you doing that?
- 3:49Speaker 1: The first new car ever bought, first new car ever ever?
- 3:52Speaker 1: It was. It was a Jeep Cherokee. And you grew
- 3:55Speaker 1: up in the car beas this. So did my wife.
- 3:56Speaker 1: And I bought it off her dad because he was
- 3:59Speaker 1: a car dealer. And I'll never ever forget it's one
- 4:03Speaker 1: of those. It was a Jeep Cherokee with that's kept
- 4:04Speaker 1: the red and then gray at the top. All right,
- 4:07Speaker 1: I freaking love this car. I'm driving off the dealership
- 4:11Speaker 1: lot and I go to roll down the window, and
- 4:13Speaker 1: I roll down the window to wave at the sales guy.
- 4:15Speaker 1: I wave and I hang it right and I drive
- 4:18Speaker 1: and then the window won't roll up. And the whole
- 4:21Speaker 1: time I had a card and window never worked. I
- 4:24Speaker 1: never got it. I would go. I would go because
- 4:26Speaker 1: I lived in San Diego. So I drove the car
- 4:27Speaker 1: to San Diego. I bought it here, drove it to
- 4:29Speaker 1: San Diego, and then I took it right to a
- 4:31Speaker 1: Jeep dealership. They took apart the door. It was under warranty,
- 4:34Speaker 1: and I go, thanks, And it worked like two days
- 4:36Speaker 1: and then the window would roll down again and I
- 4:38Speaker 1: would roll up little down. It was such a pain
- 4:40Speaker 1: in the ass. So my first experience of the first
- 4:43Speaker 1: new car was a disaster. It was a lemon. It
- 4:45Speaker 1: was just the window. It was so it was such
- 4:47Speaker 1: a bummer. I remember your red jeep chair. No, I
- 4:49Speaker 1: got another one after that, okay, because that one was awesome.
- 4:52Speaker 1: I had three of them, that banging stereo. I would
- 4:54Speaker 1: love those cars. I love the now the jeep chakey
- 4:56Speaker 1: looks different, but I had, I had, then I got,
- 4:59Speaker 1: I got one with. The thing for me is when
- 5:00Speaker 1: I got leather seats. I love. That's the car you met.
- 5:02Speaker 1: That was a great car. That was also the car
- 5:04Speaker 1: you met. You met.
- 5:06Speaker 2: That's personal.
- 5:06Speaker 1: You want to hear some weird too, So it's speaking
- 5:09Speaker 1: my first car, My first new car was this REGGIEP Cherokee,
- 5:11Speaker 1: and I named it. The name of that car was Jake.
- 5:15Speaker 1: In a while, way before I had kids, really, and
- 5:17Speaker 1: then I had a diary, and my diary's name was
- 5:20Speaker 1: Jake when I was a kid. And then my first
- 5:21Speaker 1: son's name was Jake, and that weird. I didn't put
- 5:23Speaker 1: that all together till later. It was meant to be
- 5:25Speaker 1: it was meant to be. Uh. Then I want to
- 5:27Speaker 1: get into this other thing. Peyton brought up about your
- 5:29Speaker 1: what'd you call it? Late night thoughts?
- 5:31Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I have way too many of it.
- 5:33Speaker 1: What would you call you call some? Because I thought
- 5:34Speaker 1: it could be a new segment on the show?
- 5:35Speaker 2: Oh what did I call it? Random late night thoughts?
- 5:37Speaker 2: Is that what I said?
- 5:38Speaker 1: Maybe? What are your random late night thoughts? What was
- 5:40Speaker 1: it new when you had?
- 5:40Speaker 2: I mean, these are the conversations and the things that
- 5:45Speaker 2: I think about when I'm like in the shower or
- 5:49Speaker 2: I'm like laying in bed, And the one that I
- 5:51Speaker 2: had recently was being in like your mid to late
- 5:55Speaker 2: twenties is so weird. It is such a weird time
- 5:58Speaker 2: of life because sometimes I you're single and you're in
- 6:01Speaker 2: these streets and you got a roster, or you're just
- 6:04Speaker 2: getting married, or you're having babies, or you're making you know,
- 6:07Speaker 2: or maybe you may have dumped your boyfriend from a
- 6:10Speaker 2: long time, or you're a girlfriend from a long time,
- 6:11Speaker 2: and I'm like, it's rough out here, this is not FD.
- 6:18Speaker 1: I know.
- 6:19Speaker 2: But I was just sitting there thinking, and I'm like,
- 6:21Speaker 2: being in your like mid to late twenties is just
- 6:24Speaker 2: like such an odd time in life.
- 6:26Speaker 1: But what made you think of that?
- 6:27Speaker 2: Because like, you're in a great time in your life.
- 6:29Speaker 2: You're in a career you love, you just got married
- 6:31Speaker 2: to be blissful, and it is blissful, but it's so
- 6:35Speaker 2: wild because I look around in like my like my
- 6:37Speaker 2: social setting, right, like my my best group of girlfriends,
- 6:41Speaker 2: right I have probably two that are married, one just
- 6:45Speaker 2: got out of an incredibly crazy long relationship, one's about
- 6:49Speaker 2: to have her second baby. And it's like we're in
- 6:52Speaker 2: all of these different parts of our lives, but we
- 6:55Speaker 2: still find time to just still connect and we're still day.
- 6:58Speaker 2: It's just so bizarre, Like to go over to my
- 7:00Speaker 2: friend Peyton's house and see that she has a literal
- 7:02Speaker 2: child running around that knows me. It's so weird to me.
- 7:06Speaker 1: On the flip side of that, they're probably like and
- 7:08Speaker 1: then Peyton's husband gets a new car, Like there's different stages,
- 7:11Speaker 1: Like there's right.
- 7:13Speaker 2: To buy a house. Probably in the next my friend's
- 7:15Speaker 2: got to move out of her family's you know, it's
- 7:17Speaker 2: just like we're in all these different that's life.
- 7:19Speaker 1: That's the way it works. It's your life is lifing
- 7:23Speaker 1: someone said the time.
- 7:25Speaker 2: It is so real.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Taylor, you got to you got a prime deal here
- 7:28Speaker 1: for Amazon Prime. Yes, and thank you very much.
- 7:32Speaker 2: I was influenced by you guys. The girl that called
- 7:35Speaker 2: in with the room. But that was a grand five
- 7:37Speaker 2: star down seven.
- 7:40Speaker 1: Yeah, about three of them this morning? Wow? Why three?
- 7:44Speaker 1: Are you going to resell them somewhere you have that
- 7:46Speaker 1: big of a house.
- 7:48Speaker 2: No. I bought it as gifts where my mom and
- 7:51Speaker 2: my sister and one for me.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Wow. It's like what Peyton you guys did with the ninjas.
- 7:55Speaker 1: You guys bought a bunch of ninjas.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Wow, Well that's a neurope great gift giver.
- 8:02Speaker 2: I know, I know, thank you, but I'm heading to
- 8:06Speaker 2: work and now I've like spent my paycheck for the
- 8:09Speaker 2: day and blame you. So well.
- 8:12Speaker 1: At least you got a deal. Thanks for listening, Taylor. Yeah,
- 8:15Speaker 1: a smoking deal.
- 8:16Speaker 2: All right.
- 8:17Speaker 1: You'll have a great day. Love you, by the way.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Speaking of rumbas, So, I was in Flagstaff last week
- 8:22Speaker 1: and I golfed with my son and there's so much
- 8:25Speaker 1: going on and the place is so beautiful, and I
- 8:27Speaker 1: was bonding with my son golfing, but I saw something
- 8:30Speaker 1: I've never ever ever ever seen before. And I know
- 8:33Speaker 1: when I tell how Kylee Pattern go, oh yeah, have
- 8:35Speaker 1: you seen the rumba lawnmower. No, it's the craziest thing
- 8:39Speaker 1: ever seen. Picture of a rumba, but like a bit
- 8:42Speaker 1: a little bit thicker, like a like four or five
- 8:44Speaker 1: shoe boxes high, and it's all by itself on the
- 8:46Speaker 1: golf course, just going back and forth and forth.
- 8:50Speaker 2: You know what what they had a rumba golf ball
- 8:53Speaker 2: picker up or the last time he went to top golf. Yeah,
- 8:56Speaker 2: and I was like genius because everyone tries to hit
- 8:58Speaker 2: the guy driving around.
- 9:00Speaker 1: This is this thing which is like going around just
- 9:03Speaker 1: perfectly cutting the grass all at its own pace, not
- 9:06Speaker 1: not nobody in the way. Just see, I was the
- 9:09Speaker 1: weirdest seeing this. You guys. Technology is crazy. I wonder
- 9:13Speaker 1: if this was like back in the day when people
- 9:15Speaker 1: riding horses. You know what I saw? I saw a
- 9:18Speaker 1: carriage with wheels and no horse coming down the street
- 9:22Speaker 1: delivering the mail. No way, Yeah anyway, John Jay Rich,
- 9:26Speaker 1: what did you see? What did you see? Eight seven, seven, nine,
- 9:30Speaker 1: three seven one oh four to seven.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Ever since I was a cheap you know why I
- 9:34Speaker 2: was this cheap
