- 0:00Speaker 1: Now more of the Mark Simone Show on seven to
- 0:02Speaker 1: ten or filling in for Mark. Here again is Ken Rosado.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Very good to be with you. Straight to our busy phones.
- 0:10Speaker 1: We go to Stuart in South Carolina. Happy early Thanksgiving
- 0:13Speaker 1: to you, Stuart.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Thanks Ken?
- 0:15Speaker 1: How are you good?
- 0:16Speaker 2: Mess great talk to you. Listen, you were talking about
- 0:19Speaker 2: all the illegal aliens in Jersey. You know, in the South,
- 0:22Speaker 2: we work with ice for the most part, and we
- 0:24Speaker 2: find illegal aliens and we send them back. But do
- 0:27Speaker 2: you remember a while back those escapees. One of them
- 0:30Speaker 2: went to two Jersey troopers and they send him away.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Yes, that was in Newark. They went into the police
- 0:37Speaker 1: precinct in Newark. Yeah. See, and that's where you got
- 0:41Speaker 1: to scratch your head. Stewart. I don't mean to step
- 0:43Speaker 1: on you, that's where you got to scratch your head
- 0:45Speaker 1: and say to yourself, there's a difference between we will
- 0:47Speaker 1: not help. Okay, you don't want to actively go out,
- 0:50Speaker 1: if you're a sanctuary city, you don't want to actively
- 0:52Speaker 1: go out and arrest illegal aliens. But when they come
- 0:55Speaker 1: to you and say here I am come on.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Really, when I heard that, I how was that? Poplecic?
- 1:04Speaker 2: I said, this is phenomenal. But you know it is unbelievable.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Tish says, she has the backs of the police officers
- 1:10Speaker 2: and the n YPD, but then will not work for ICE.
- 1:13Speaker 2: So in other words, the police officers have got to
- 1:16Speaker 2: go against these illegal, hardened criminals and risk their lives.
- 1:19Speaker 2: So you tell me how the two makes sense. Everybody's
- 1:22Speaker 2: expounding how wonderful tissue is. I don't look at it
- 1:25Speaker 2: that way. If she was wonderful, she would be working
- 1:28Speaker 2: with ICE to get those hardened criminals out of that state,
- 1:32Speaker 2: out of that city and protect the police officers and
- 1:35Speaker 2: the civilians.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Yeah, the problem, dude, the problem is it's not her,
- 1:40Speaker 1: it's the law. You know, the law in New York
- 1:42Speaker 1: is sanctuary law means that you know, they the city
- 1:46Speaker 1: tells the police what law you know, you're a police officer,
- 1:49Speaker 1: what laws they can and can enforce, And that's part
- 1:52Speaker 1: of the problem. And the prosecutors won't prosecute. I mean,
- 1:55Speaker 1: this is my argument has always been, Look, if they
- 1:58Speaker 1: talk about the fact that you know that that's a
- 2:00Speaker 1: federal crime, we don't have to go after federal crimes. Well,
- 2:03Speaker 1: the problem is robbing a bank, that's an FBI case.
- 2:06Speaker 1: That's a federal crime. How about counterfeiting? How about kidnapping?
- 2:09Speaker 1: How about illegally transporting across state lines? Sex traffick? And
- 2:15Speaker 1: these are all federal crimes, yet local police always always
- 2:18Speaker 1: take part. You pursuing somebody across the state line, that's
- 2:22Speaker 1: when it becomes a federal crime. Yet local police still
- 2:24Speaker 1: do it. I mean, it's pick and choose. You can
- 2:27Speaker 1: choose not to. But how is it if what they're
- 2:30Speaker 1: saying is true. Where you know, we're local police, we
- 2:33Speaker 1: can't enforce those crimes. Then the other thirty five states
- 2:36Speaker 1: that do enforce them and help out ICE, then they're
- 2:38Speaker 1: somehow breaking the law.
- 2:40Speaker 2: That exactly right. I'll never forget when Deblasio had a
- 2:44Speaker 2: gallon bag with I think the police commissioner and fill
- 2:48Speaker 2: marijuana and say you can legally carry this around New
- 2:51Speaker 2: York City. Now, now, apparently in New York City, everywhere
- 2:54Speaker 2: you go, you're smelling marijuana being smoked everywhere. But that
- 2:58Speaker 2: is still against federal law. Correct. I do not understand
- 3:01Speaker 2: how New York City is allowing a gallon bag of
- 3:04Speaker 2: marijuana be carried legally in that.
- 3:06Speaker 1: City and technically, as you know, ICE agents or whatever,
- 3:09Speaker 1: federal agents can go around and say, all right, I
- 3:12Speaker 1: know that you think it's cool to be smoking pot
- 3:14Speaker 1: in public, but you're under federal arrest. I mean they
- 3:16Speaker 1: could do that, right The question is will they and
- 3:19Speaker 1: what will the response from the people be. But you know,
- 3:21Speaker 1: now we're finding out more and more. For years we
- 3:23Speaker 1: were told, oh, pot, it's innocuous, it's not addictive. Now
- 3:26Speaker 1: we find out, yeah, it is addictive. The high, the
- 3:29Speaker 1: high THHC pot right now is dangerous. It causes all
- 3:32Speaker 1: sorts of problems.
- 3:33Speaker 2: The THC level in pot used to be three percent
- 3:36Speaker 2: when I was a kid, and I'll be seventy two.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Now it's eighteen to nineteen to twenty percent DHC. This
- 3:42Speaker 2: is engineered marijuana. This is not your grandparents at marijuana anymore.
- 3:46Speaker 2: And people are driving on this all the time and
- 3:50Speaker 2: they're extremely dangerous, And I don't know, I just don't
- 3:55Speaker 2: understand how the public is not outraged by all the
- 3:58Speaker 2: money the illegals are causing them and living like this
- 4:02Speaker 2: with people stoned all the time.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Colorado State Police Steward, Colorado State Police, said that the
- 4:07Speaker 1: head of Colorado State Police, where it was first legalized,
- 4:10Speaker 1: said if he knew then what he knows now about
- 4:12Speaker 1: the number of highway deaths and the fact that you
- 4:15Speaker 1: can't do public enforcement. There is no breathalyzer or roadside
- 4:18Speaker 1: test right that. If he knew that, he would have said,
- 4:22Speaker 1: absolutely not. We cannot make this legal.
- 4:24Speaker 2: You have to have a blood test. There's no side
- 4:26Speaker 2: of the road other than stigmas and things like that,
- 4:29Speaker 2: and then you can take them in for a blood test.
- 4:31Speaker 2: But as far as as any kind of alcacins or
- 4:33Speaker 2: thing like that, there's nothing except for maybe alcohol, DUIs.
- 4:37Speaker 2: But when you're talking about marijuana, my son was doing
- 4:40Speaker 2: seventy five miles an hour, is a deputy, and he
- 4:45Speaker 2: calls me. He said, Dad, I'm not in my county.
- 4:47Speaker 2: He said, I'm smelling marijuana coming from the car in
- 4:49Speaker 2: front of me and we're doing seventy five miles lay
- 4:51Speaker 2: or on the interstate.
- 4:52Speaker 1: My god, I mean to laugh, but it's like how
- 4:54Speaker 1: much pods you got to be spoken that you could
- 4:56Speaker 1: smell it in the police car, behided, good lord, it's
- 4:59Speaker 1: like arresting g Chong Stuart, Happy Thanksgiving, my friend. We
- 5:03Speaker 1: got to go to news. But I appreciate you all
- 5:05Speaker 1: the time when you call enjoy all right, My gosh
- 5:08Speaker 1: seven ten w R the Voice of New York and
- 5:12Speaker 1: Stuart is right, it's crazy, you know. Look, marijuana, you
- 5:16Speaker 1: want to do whatever you want to do in the
- 5:18Speaker 1: privacy of your own home. I'm not going to judge you.
- 5:20Speaker 1: But let's just make one thing clear. Let's you and
- 5:23Speaker 1: I and our friends and relative, let's all agree on
- 5:25Speaker 1: one thing. Don't get behind the wheel. Even if you
- 5:27Speaker 1: have a couple of drinks. Let your relative who didn't drink,
- 5:30Speaker 1: let them drive. Because if you have a couple of
- 5:32Speaker 1: drinks and the guy behind you and the guy in
- 5:34Speaker 1: front of you has a couple of drinks, it doesn't
- 5:36Speaker 1: make for a good highway situation. And you don't want
- 5:38Speaker 1: the holidays to become tragic, all right, So let's please
- 5:40Speaker 1: promise that it is a Wednesday. Ken ro Zantowin fromar
- 5:43Speaker 1: Coming up in our next half hour, New Jersey Republican
- 5:46Speaker 1: congressional candidate Billy Prempa. We'll talk about the Garden State's
- 5:50Speaker 1: new bill to make it illegal for ice agents to
- 5:53Speaker 1: wear masks.
