Transcript
- 0:02Deep in the heart of Israel, God desires to be known by his
- 0:06chosen people, revealing himself to Moses as Yahweh the Great.
- 0:12I am a name too holy to utter. The Israelites call him Jehovah.
- 0:20Throughout the Old Testament, Jehovah responds to the faith of
- 0:23his people and shows himself strong on their behalf.
- 0:28In remembrance of Jehovah's power and love, the people give
- 0:31him additional names describing his ability and willingness to
- 0:35help in their lives. Each name describes the nature
- 0:40of the one true God. Each is Jehovah.
- 0:45Together they are the J team. Hezekiah was 25 years old when
- 0:57he became king. He did what was pleasing in the
- 0:59Lord's sight. Hezekiah trusted in the Lord,
- 1:03the God of Israel. He remained faithful to the Lord
- 1:06in everything, and he carefully obeyed all the commandments the
- 1:10Lord had given Moses. Are you sure you know what
- 1:21you're doing? Of course I know what I'm doing.
- 1:25We're supposed to destroy anyone that is pleasing God.
- 1:28King Hezekiah is pleasing God, and that makes him trouble.
- 1:33But master, he's torn down every idol in the land.
- 1:37He's even rebelled against the king of Assyria, the most
- 1:40powerful king in the land. And that's why the Assyrians are
- 1:44now threatening Hezekiah. Now Hezekiah is the one in
- 1:48trouble. Big trouble.
- 1:50You haven't made anyone sick, right?
- 1:53So we don't have to worry about Jehovah Rapha.
- 1:56That's right. And Jehovah Jaira, the provider,
- 1:59isn't needed at all. Well, maybe they do need some
- 2:03protection right now, but that's not his specialty.
- 2:07Yeah, Jehovah Jaira mainly deals with physical needs like food,
- 2:11clothes, money, that sort of thing.
- 2:14See, I thought of everything. There's nothing to worry about.
- 2:20Why are you pacing back and forth?
- 2:22I'm just a little worried, that's all.
- 2:25Well, worry no more, check this out.
- 2:32King Hezekiah, a message has come for you from your enemy
- 2:36Sanakshereb, the king of Assyria.
- 2:39Thank you, servant, I'll read it myself.
- 2:44Don't let your God, in whom you trust, deceive you with promises
- 2:49that Jerusalem will not be captured by the king of Assyria.
- 2:53You know perfectly well what the kings of Assyria have done.
- 2:56Wherever they have gone, they have completely destroyed
- 3:01everyone who stood in their way. Why should you be any different?
- 3:07No other God has been able to deliver their nations from being
- 3:10destroyed. Where are all the kings of the
- 3:13lands we have destroyed? You must admit Damon, the king
- 3:20of Assyria, knows how to threaten people.
- 3:22He just called God a liar. Yeah, I don't think he should
- 3:28have done that. Quit worrying.
- 3:31Hezekiah is the one who should be worrying.
- 3:36Look at him, he just fell to his knees.
- 3:40He's lost all hope. I don't think that's why he fell
- 3:43to his knees. Master.
- 3:45Look, he's praying. What it can't be?
- 3:49We are in trouble now. I just know it what to do, what
- 3:54to do. Lord God of Israel, you alone
- 4:02have made heaven and earth. You hear us when we pray and you
- 4:07have heard these threats against you.
- 4:10Assyria has destroyed many nation but none of them had you
- 4:15as their God. King Hezekiah is exalting God
- 4:18like he's some sort of a banner or something.
- 4:22Banner. Why did you use the word banner?
- 4:26Look and see Lord, the words of Sana Sharib are a reproach to
- 4:31you. Yes, the kings of Assyria have
- 4:34destroyed many nations and cast their gods into the fire.
- 4:38Only they were not gods, they were man made idols.
- 4:44I pray Lord God, rescue us from his power.
- 4:48Then all the kingdoms of the earth will know that you alone,
- 4:52O Lord, are God. What was that Nisi?
- 5:02See what? Look right there.
- 5:05Who is that? Jehovah Nisi, the Lord God,
- 5:09their banner. Banner, you said banner again.
- 5:13A banner is a flag. What can a flag do to us?
- 5:19I'm not afraid of a flag. A banner is hung once something
- 5:25has been conquered. Some folks call me Conqueror.
- 5:29The only one that's going to do any conquering is the king of
- 5:33Assyria. 185,000 Assyrians will die while they sleep, and your
- 5:39king of Assyria will turn back home, where he will remain until
- 5:43he has eventually killed himself.
- 5:45Now be gone from my sight. We're leaving, we're leaving.
- 5:50Yeah, you don't have to tell us twice, King.
- 5:56Hezekiah, forgive me for interrupting.
- 6:01There is another message, but this time it's from the prophet
- 6:04Isaiah. It's good.
- 6:06News. This is what the Lord says about
- 6:11the king of Assyria. His armies will not enter
- 6:15Jerusalem. They will not even shoot an
- 6:18arrow at it. The king will return to his own
- 6:22country by the same Rd. on which he came.
- 6:25He will not enter the city, says the Lord.
- 6:28I will defend this city and protect it.
- 6:36That night, the Angel of the Lord went out to the Assyrian
- 6:39camp and killed 185,000 Assyrian soldiers.
- 6:44When the surviving Assyrians woke up the next morning, King
- 6:47Sena Cherub of Assyria broke camp and returned to his own
- 6:50land. One day, while King Sena Cherub
- 6:53was worshipping in the temple of his God, two of his own sons
- 6:57killed him with their swords. The next time you find yourself
- 7:01in trouble, be sure to turn to Jehovah Nisi for help.
- 7:05He is a very present help in the time of trouble.
- 7:08You 2 can pray knowing that Jehovah Nisi, the Lord God
- 7:11Almighty, is your banner. He is Jehovah Nisi.
- 7:16He is the J team. Please share Fish bites for kids
