- 0:34SPEAKER_03: Well, hey, Stephen Jeff Show band.
- 0:36SPEAKER_03: Thanks for sending us in.
- 0:38SPEAKER_03: And I gotta tell you, listeners out there, we are certainly living in some interesting times.
- 0:43SPEAKER_03: Teresa and I, Jeff, you know this.
- 0:45SPEAKER_03: Teresa and I are foodies.
- 0:46SPEAKER_03: You know, we like to cook, we eat in restaurants, and we like to try new foods.
- 0:50SPEAKER_03: And yeah, but problem is with everything going on.
- 0:54SPEAKER_03: I mean, we had the beef thing, then we had the lettuce thing, then we had blueberries, and now it's going to all kinds of other vegetables too.
- 1:01SPEAKER_03: It's like, you know, it seems like the only vegetable that hasn't been recalled is Mitch McConnell.
- 1:06SPEAKER_03: How are you doing, Jeff?
- 1:08SPEAKER_04: Better than Mitch.
- 1:10SPEAKER_04: Oh, well, yeah.
- 1:11SPEAKER_04: Although we just got off the phone.
- 1:12SPEAKER_04: We had a 20-minute call.
- 1:13SPEAKER_04: 20-minute call.
- 1:14SPEAKER_04: You know, he all he wanted to do was talk, all he wanted to do is talk about work, you know, which is just weird.
- 1:19SPEAKER_03: You know, you stack those back to back, all those 20-minute calls.
- 1:22SPEAKER_03: It's probably accounts for the the entire months or whatever that he's been gone.
- 1:26SPEAKER_04: Sure, it's going to extend his life too.
- 1:28SPEAKER_04: Oh, absolutely.
- 1:29SPEAKER_04: Well, it would have extended his life too, I guess.
- 1:32SPEAKER_04: But no, I'm doing good.
- 1:34SPEAKER_04: As you know, because I keep repeating this, I am having shoulder surgery.
- 1:39SPEAKER_04: Really?
- 1:39SPEAKER_04: And oh no, no, I'm kidding, of course, because we've talked extensively about this.
- 1:43SPEAKER_03: Yes, extensively.
- 1:47SPEAKER_04: Except for my attorney, you know, from my attorney standpoint, it's not.
- 1:51SPEAKER_03: It's a major serious injury, yes.
- 1:54SPEAKER_03: It is a serious, yes.
- 1:58SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah.
- 1:59SPEAKER_04: Um, but it but what's funny is how many things they go through to qualify me for the surgery, you know, multiple meetings with different doctors and all kinds of stuff to make sure that I'm up for the surgery.
- 2:11SPEAKER_04: And it's it's basically just in my shoulder.
- 2:13SPEAKER_04: I it's not life-threatening, but they're extremely thorough.
- 2:17SPEAKER_03: There's a reason they do that because when they put you under, when you go into that medical chemical lethe that is actually quite quite pleasant, uh, there are risks.
- 2:27SPEAKER_03: Uh-huh.
- 2:28SPEAKER_03: And you've got to know how to handle it.
- 2:30SPEAKER_03: Now, I what kind of tests are they doing on you?
- 2:32SPEAKER_03: Did and how'd they how'd they turn out?
- 2:35SPEAKER_04: All kinds.
- 2:36SPEAKER_04: You know, fortunately, no IQ tests, because you know you and I know how that would turn out.
- 2:42SPEAKER_04: I would ace it, well, one, one point less than you, but of course, right.
- 2:46SPEAKER_04: That's a different issue.
- 2:47SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 2:47SPEAKER_03: I mean, of course, like like yeah, yeah.
- 2:51SPEAKER_04: And based based on how articulate you are, that's probably not a good thing to have one point less than you.
- 2:57SPEAKER_04: But um, but anyways, blood work, you know, all kinds of blood work and an MRI, a CAT scan, a dog scan, you name it, Steve.
- 3:06SPEAKER_04: I mean, they just everything except anal probing, which, you know, I was kind of disappointed that I didn't qualify for that.
- 3:12SPEAKER_04: But I think my insurance doesn't pay for that.
- 3:14SPEAKER_04: So it would be out of pocket, actually out of my back pocket.
- 3:18SPEAKER_03: So I probably would, you know.
- 3:20SPEAKER_04: But but but it was good news, you know, very good news.
- 3:23SPEAKER_04: I'm I'm ready for the surgery.
- 3:24SPEAKER_03: So you so you got some good news?
- 3:26SPEAKER_03: What was the good news?
- 3:27SPEAKER_04: Well, that was the other thing.
- 3:29SPEAKER_04: So my last appointment was with my doctor, and he called me and said, That's a good place to finish, you know.
- 3:35SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 3:37SPEAKER_03: But you know, it's a good place to finish.
- 3:38SPEAKER_03: That's right.
- 3:39SPEAKER_04: But he's not a specialist, which means he doesn't know really how to do anything really well.
- 3:43SPEAKER_03: But well, it means he charges less too.
- 3:45SPEAKER_04: So charges less.
- 3:47SPEAKER_04: He knows uh bacterial or virus or viral when he's prescribing penicillin or not prescribing penicillin.
- 3:54SPEAKER_04: He's really good at that.
- 3:55SPEAKER_04: And wow, yeah.
- 3:56SPEAKER_04: You know, I I met with him.
- 3:57SPEAKER_04: His name is Dr.
- 3:58SPEAKER_04: Glazer, he's been my family doctor for years.
- 4:01SPEAKER_04: And the cool thing, Steve, I've always said this about doctors.
- 4:04SPEAKER_04: The biggest part of your satisfaction with your doctor is his personality, you know.
- 4:10SPEAKER_04: If he's odd, absolutely, you know, if he's a drag and he's too serious, then that sucks.
- 4:15SPEAKER_04: He's always been extremely entertaining.
- 4:18SPEAKER_04: So I sort of look forward, you know.
- 4:20SPEAKER_04: He was my last appointment before they gave me the final approval for the for the surgery.
- 4:25SPEAKER_04: I I just think he's he's the perfect doctor.
- 4:27SPEAKER_04: So yeah, so I had a meeting with him.
- 4:29SPEAKER_03: So what did the doctor say when you had this meeting?
- 4:32SPEAKER_03: I'm surprised he didn't laugh because medical news is supposed to be funny, you know, like those great TV comedies, uh, like you know, the pit.
- 4:41SPEAKER_03: Hilarious.
- 4:42SPEAKER_03: All right, remember house?
- 4:44SPEAKER_03: What a that was a scream, right?
- 4:46SPEAKER_04: Completely.
- 4:47SPEAKER_04: You know, I met with him, sat down, and he said, I've got some good news, I've got some bad news.
- 4:52SPEAKER_04: Steve, we did an episode on good news, bad news one time.
- 4:54SPEAKER_04: We did.
- 4:55SPEAKER_04: I love those are one of my favorites.
- 4:58SPEAKER_04: He said, Which would you like first?
- 5:01SPEAKER_04: And I said, I love riddles or whatever.
- 5:03SPEAKER_04: And anyway, so I said, Well, why don't you give me the good news?
- 5:06SPEAKER_04: And so he said, They are going to name a really horrible disease after you.
- 5:14SPEAKER_04: I was like, man, that is good news, you know, because that means that you know, I'll be somebody, you know, besides being famous with the podcast.
- 5:22SPEAKER_04: People, when they have whatever that disease is, they'll nod to me for uh, you know, naming it after me.
- 5:28SPEAKER_04: You know, I was wavering on whether I was going to have the surgery, you know, after all this, you know, every episode we talk about it, but I was wavering a little bit because I know it would be painful.
- 5:37SPEAKER_04: But now that they're gonna name a disease after me, I think I have to go through it.
- 5:41SPEAKER_03: Look at you, Mr.
- 5:42SPEAKER_03: Alzheimer, Mr.
- 5:43SPEAKER_03: Parkinson, maybe maybe Senator Pete Ricketts.
- 5:47SPEAKER_03: No, wait, he is the disease.
- 5:49SPEAKER_03: Wait, okay.
- 5:49SPEAKER_03: But I but I digress.
- 5:50SPEAKER_03: You know, it's good that you're doing the surgery because we need more content for the podcast.
- 5:54SPEAKER_03: And hey, you know, this is this has really been fertile ground for several hours of podcast material here.
- 6:01SPEAKER_03: But you know, naming a disease after you could be fun for the show too.
- 6:05SPEAKER_03: But you know, that'd be in a different show.
- 6:07SPEAKER_03: I think the stories you can share, especially, you know, let's say, let's just say that they mess up the surgery somehow.
- 6:14SPEAKER_03: Maybe they operate on the wrong part of you or something.
- 6:16SPEAKER_03: I what what great material?
- 6:18SPEAKER_03: Talk about a laugh ride.
- 6:20SPEAKER_03: Oh, please.
- 6:20SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah.
- 6:21SPEAKER_03: But stop.
- 6:22SPEAKER_03: But you know, but speaking of making tough decisions, having surgery or not, you know, it reminded me.
- 6:28SPEAKER_03: Uh, we have the midterm elections coming up, and uh really as incredible as it may seem, I don't see how this is even physically possible.
- 6:37SPEAKER_03: Some people apparently are still undecided about which direction to go.
- 6:42SPEAKER_03: I mean, you see in all the polls, there's an undecided factor.
- 6:45SPEAKER_03: I mean, it's hard to imagine, but they all have one.
- 6:47SPEAKER_03: But you know, so uh I I went out, I said, who who are these people?
- 6:51SPEAKER_03: I I went out, I I found one.
- 6:52SPEAKER_03: I found an undecided voter, and I thought it might be good to invite one of those undecided voters on our show just to see the thought process behind the indecision.
- 7:03SPEAKER_03: Jeffy's just the other side of that glass.
- 7:06SPEAKER_03: His name is Hillary Kimball.
- 7:08SPEAKER_03: Welcome to the show, Hillary.
- 7:10SPEAKER_03: Or should I be more formal and call you, you know, Mr.
- 7:12SPEAKER_03: Kimball or Mrs.
- 7:14SPEAKER_03: Kimball?
- 7:15SPEAKER_02: Guys, like I'm a boy.
- 7:18SPEAKER_02: Like, Hillary was originally a boy's name.
- 7:21SPEAKER_02: And yeah, my middle name is Helen.
- 7:24SPEAKER_02: Is that a girl's name?
- 7:26SPEAKER_02: I mean, who's to decide, right?
- 7:29SPEAKER_04: When we were getting ready to do this interview, it was sort of a placeholder because we didn't know where to go, but you know, and I and I didn't really know exactly what to ask you.
- 7:37SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I was kind of up in the air.
- 7:39SPEAKER_04: Can I call you Hilary?
- 7:41SPEAKER_04: Is that okay?
- 7:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah, sure.
- 7:43SPEAKER_02: Or, you know, we can always fix it in post.
- 7:47SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 7:47SPEAKER_04: But well, welcome to the show, Hillary.
- 7:49SPEAKER_02: Thanks for this.
- 7:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so thanks for having me on the pot.
- 7:55SPEAKER_02: I know you want me to talk about the election, but to be honest, I I think I'm gonna let you down.
- 8:02SPEAKER_02: Like, I'm not sure which way I'm leaning at this point.
- 8:05SPEAKER_02: It it's such an important vote.
- 8:08SPEAKER_02: I mean, we only get to elect a president every what, like six years, right?
- 8:13SPEAKER_02: Like, I want to get it right.
- 8:15SPEAKER_03: You know, Hillary, information is important, but the elections in November are the midterm elections for Congress, Senate, state and local officials, that sort of thing.
- 8:25SPEAKER_03: The election for the president is actually once every four years.
- 8:29SPEAKER_03: The next one, next one's not until 2028, assuming you know, we're still doing elections at that point.
- 8:36SPEAKER_03: So you have anywhere from two years to eternity to make your decision on that one.
- 8:41SPEAKER_03: But again, knowledge is key to choosing wisely.
- 8:44SPEAKER_03: Yeah, whether it's for the president or school board or city council or whatever, right?
- 8:48SPEAKER_03: But yeah, I mean we only have one vote, or at least we used to, and that's sort of the idea.
- 8:54SPEAKER_02: Oh, so are you saying I have to decide about city council too?
- 9:00SPEAKER_02: That's too many decisions, man.
- 9:03SPEAKER_02: Like, it's hard enough to decide what car I was gonna take to the studio this morning.
- 9:08SPEAKER_02: Like, I mean, I uh I only have one car, but still, like, I definitely need more time.
- 9:15SPEAKER_02: Like, I actually actually we should just vote for whoever the president says we should vote for.
- 9:25SPEAKER_02: But I haven't heard what President Biden wants me to vote for yet, have you?
- 9:32SPEAKER_04: Well, I don't think that Biden cares that much about who you vote for.
- 9:36SPEAKER_04: I'm not sure he cared when he was in office either, but another reason he may not care is because he's he's not running.
- 9:42SPEAKER_04: I don't know if you've heard that, but but just but just a tip if you are a Democrat and uh you're getting ready to vote, make sure that you have identification because that's a big deal right now is making sure the right people vote.
- 9:57SPEAKER_04: So you need your you know, proof of citizenship, uh blood work, you know, which you can use mine from you know where I'm getting ready for my surgery.
- 10:05SPEAKER_03: How convenient, yeah.
- 10:06SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and and you cannot have any vaccinations for the last year.
- 10:11SPEAKER_04: That's important.
- 10:12SPEAKER_04: If you're a Republican, then you just have to promise that you're a citizen and vote the right way.
- 10:17SPEAKER_04: And if you do that, then your vote will count.
- 10:20SPEAKER_04: Or third choice is just join ICE because you'll be at all the voting booths, you know, the voting poll poll areas, and then they'll they'll be voting there too.
- 10:29SPEAKER_03: Oh, yes, indeed.
- 10:31SPEAKER_03: They will be first in and last out.
- 10:33SPEAKER_03: So, Hillary, where do you get your information to make your voting decisions?
- 10:37SPEAKER_03: We're talking about information being important.
- 10:39SPEAKER_03: Where do you get yours?
- 10:41SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 10:42SPEAKER_02: Uh social media, word of mouth, my mom and dad, you know, because they they know some stuff.
- 10:51SPEAKER_02: But yeah, it's it's hard to know if that information's like accurate.
- 10:57SPEAKER_02: So that's when I go to MS New or Fox News.
- 11:02SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and I I think that's a really good point.
- 11:04SPEAKER_04: A lot of people struggle with that.
- 11:06SPEAKER_04: I'm a little confused as to why you would be going to both MS Now and Fox News since they have completely different views and different facts that they go by.
- 11:17SPEAKER_04: Does it does that make it even harder, harder to make a decision?
- 11:21SPEAKER_02: Obviously, but it's easier than getting it from my mom or d'cause you know they're dead.
- 11:28SPEAKER_02: Uh also MSNBC.
- 11:32SPEAKER_02: I don't think that they've gotten it wrong, but I also don't remember what they've gotten right.
- 11:40SPEAKER_02: I know that they're great at predicting the winners, which is important to me.
- 11:47SPEAKER_02: I just I just want to get it right, you know, like that's the most important thing.
- 11:54SPEAKER_02: Or just don't don't vote at all.
- 11:56SPEAKER_02: You know, that's something my uh my grandpa used to say.
- 12:01SPEAKER_03: You know, you used an interesting phrase just now, getting it right.
- 12:06SPEAKER_03: What is the right vote?
- 12:08SPEAKER_03: I mean, you feel like you voted correctly in the past.
- 12:13SPEAKER_02: Uh I think so.
- 12:16SPEAKER_02: When I voted, like the last time I voted was in 2008, and I think I got it right.
- 12:24SPEAKER_02: Or wait, I may have missed the deadline.
- 12:30SPEAKER_04: So when you say deadline, you mean the actual vote, right?
- 12:33SPEAKER_04: Is it that's what you may have missed.
- 12:35SPEAKER_04: So yeah, you know, I have always thought that the undecided voters actually are deciding deciding to vote at the last minute.
- 12:44SPEAKER_04: And I was always wondering how what that process is.
- 12:47SPEAKER_04: Is does that include you?
- 12:49SPEAKER_02: Oh, like I knew who I was going to vote for, like I thought I knew who I was going to vote for, but not like where.
- 13:00SPEAKER_02: So I spend like half my time in Wisconsin and the other half in Nebraska.
- 13:07SPEAKER_02: I couldn't decide where to like cast my vote.
- 13:11SPEAKER_02: So I chose Iowa as a compromise, but they didn't let me vote for some reason.
- 13:20SPEAKER_02: Um you guys have a bathroom here in the studio.
- 13:24SPEAKER_02: I think, I think I have to go.
- 13:26SPEAKER_02: I'm not sure if it's number one or two, but I'll decide when I get there.
- 13:31SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, sure.
- 13:32SPEAKER_03: The bathrooms are down the hall.
- 13:34SPEAKER_03: And you know, I gotta tell you, most bathrooms and public places are marked, you know, men's, women's.
- 13:39SPEAKER_03: We did away with that whole thing.
- 13:40SPEAKER_03: Ours are marked both and neither.
- 13:43SPEAKER_03: So take your choice down there.
- 13:46SPEAKER_02: I'm a boy, remember?
- 13:48SPEAKER_02: But still, which one should I choose?
- 13:52SPEAKER_02: That's too many choices.
- 13:54SPEAKER_02: My head hurts.
- 13:56SPEAKER_02: Everything is so overwhelming, and I want to take everything seriously, you know, like my relationships or choosing where I'm gonna work.
- 14:07SPEAKER_02: And because you know, they they say that if you marry well and have a job you love, then you'll be happy.
- 14:16SPEAKER_02: Unless you aren't.
- 14:18SPEAKER_02: So I would definitely vote pro happiness.
- 14:23SPEAKER_02: Which party's that?
- 14:25SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I'm not sure.
- 14:26SPEAKER_04: I'm not sure anybody's real happy, but it's it sounds like you've done a really good job on your personal life.
- 14:33SPEAKER_04: Um, I think I read somewhere that Steve sent me a little fact sheet that said that you've been married for 30 years, and and that's impressive.
- 14:41SPEAKER_04: So it sounds like you did you did that right at least.
- 14:43SPEAKER_02: Oh, well, like not exactly married, more like dating the like the same men for like the past 30 years, like two different men.
- 14:55SPEAKER_02: Like we've been together for like a long time, but I'm still on the fence.
- 15:00SPEAKER_02: Like, I still want to make sure I choose the right one.
- 15:03SPEAKER_02: I you know, which one am I gonna spend the rest of my life with?
- 15:08SPEAKER_02: Also, if children get involved, like it's it's a very important decision.
- 15:13SPEAKER_03: Oh, absolutely.
- 15:14SPEAKER_03: How many children do you have?
- 15:16SPEAKER_02: Uh oh, I don't have any yet.
- 15:19SPEAKER_02: I'm probably too old, but one day I'm choosing like which college I'm not gonna go to, and like the next, it's like I'm having to sign up for health care.
- 15:30SPEAKER_02: Like, should I get Medicare A and B?
- 15:33SPEAKER_02: A R B?
- 15:35SPEAKER_02: Like, I don't know.
- 15:37SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that's tough.
- 15:39SPEAKER_04: You know, when you struggle deciding, maybe you should ask your friends or relatives or even your church to give you some guidance, give their opinions.
- 15:49SPEAKER_02: Oh, so like I'm what the community calls a cashew, in that I'm Catholic and I'm Jewish.
- 16:01SPEAKER_02: So I couldn't decide, okay.
- 16:03SPEAKER_02: So I just went with both.
- 16:05SPEAKER_02: The only problem is that when Christmas and Hanukkah land on the same day, it's like, should I go to the Basilica or to Bloomies?
- 16:15SPEAKER_02: That's what my mom used to call Bloomingdales.
- 16:18SPEAKER_02: Oh.
- 16:19SPEAKER_03: You know, I gotta say, if you're gonna have two religions, you've chosen two of my favorites.
- 16:24SPEAKER_03: So I gotta tell you, good job.
- 16:26SPEAKER_02: It is the best until your brisk and your baptism fall on the same day.
- 16:33SPEAKER_02: If there's like salt or chlorine in that baptismal pool, like it's a very oil would help them.
- 16:44SPEAKER_04: So true.
- 16:45SPEAKER_04: It kind of brings up my next question, which is I usually can guess what people do for a living, but with you, I'm I'm really having trouble figuring that out.
- 16:54SPEAKER_04: So I give up.
- 16:55SPEAKER_04: What what do you do for a living?
- 16:57SPEAKER_02: I'm temping, so I'm trying out a lot of different jobs, which should help me choose the right profession, right?
- 17:07SPEAKER_02: Like it's kind of like voting for everyone on the ballot.
- 17:12SPEAKER_02: Like today, I'm a hairstylist, and before that, I was a banker.
- 17:18SPEAKER_02: It's kind of hard to choose between those.
- 17:21SPEAKER_02: What do you think?
- 17:22SPEAKER_03: Well, you know, that's a tough one.
- 17:24SPEAKER_03: Uh, they both do a lot of telling.
- 17:27SPEAKER_03: Um, only one has telling in the job description, though.
- 17:30SPEAKER_03: So I'd I'd probably go with that one, with that job.
- 17:33SPEAKER_02: No, I wasn't like a teller, I created portfolios for people's investments.
- 17:40SPEAKER_02: But no, I don't know if I was good at that.
- 17:43SPEAKER_02: You see, people don't understand that I can't predict the future, so it's hard to choose.
- 17:52SPEAKER_02: So I pretty much put everyone's money, not in like brokerage accounts or bonds or investments, I just put it all in like checking accounts because you can't really go wrong with those.
- 18:04SPEAKER_04: I think that's a good strategy.
- 18:06SPEAKER_04: I I kind of have to disagree with Steve on which is a better job because you know, I think hairstylists make a lot of good money and it can be very fun, although, you know, in my condition, I don't go to hairstylists very much.
- 18:20SPEAKER_04: But yeah, uh that seems like a good profession.
- 18:22SPEAKER_02: Look, I'm still trying both out, and I I hope to make a decision soon.
- 18:29SPEAKER_02: I haven't ruled out being an atheist either.
- 18:32SPEAKER_02: I just I don't know.
- 18:34SPEAKER_03: Well, uh, you know, I'm not sure that's really a job.
- 18:37SPEAKER_03: That's more, well, really more another kind of religion, uh, at least for Bill Maher, and of course being the anti-wokism.
- 18:45SPEAKER_03: You know, hey, maybe you should call it Maherism.
- 18:48SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 18:49SPEAKER_02: Another decision.
- 18:50SPEAKER_02: I'm still like processing like the Bible, you know.
- 18:55SPEAKER_02: Like, do you know that they have like two editions, like old and new?
- 19:01SPEAKER_02: Like, which one am I supposed to read first?
- 19:05SPEAKER_02: Like, I want to order them from Amazon, but there's just like too many choices on there.
- 19:10SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 19:11SPEAKER_03: I wish you a lot of luck with that, but I I want to get back to politics for just a minute.
- 19:16SPEAKER_03: Now, would you say that you're a Republican or a Democrat?
- 19:24SPEAKER_02: No, like which one is the one that's like against crime, no, and you know, like no more wars and like lower prices on gas and food.
- 19:36SPEAKER_02: Like, I think I'm for that one, but also Israel.
- 19:42SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I think I'm for that one too, but I'm not sure which one that is or if that even exists anymore.
- 19:49SPEAKER_04: I know one party says that they will do that, but maybe when you're done with your research, you should let me know, and maybe I'll vote for that that party as well.
- 19:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I'll do that, but should I let you or Steve know?
- 20:03SPEAKER_03: You know, think of it kind of like the restrooms, you know, both, neither, you know, whichever you choose, either one, either one works, either one's fine.
- 20:11SPEAKER_02: Sure.
- 20:11SPEAKER_02: Okay, I'll send you an email, or or or I could send you a text, or maybe I'll just stop by and let you know.
- 20:20SPEAKER_02: I'll just as soon as I decide which car I'm gonna drive.
- 20:25SPEAKER_04: That's good.
- 20:26SPEAKER_04: So have you gotten a second car yet, or do you still only have one car?
- 20:30SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 20:32SPEAKER_02: That should make the decision a lot easier, assuming I can find my way here, but you know, uh I may just skip all of it.
- 20:41SPEAKER_03: Uh, you know, I think I fell out of that car on the on that last curve, but I I have an idea here.
- 20:46SPEAKER_03: What if I I asked you a series of questions is created by the Harvard School of Politics and Baking Sciences, and this design to determine what kind of voter you should be based on your values.
- 20:58SPEAKER_03: Oh you want to take that?
- 21:00SPEAKER_03: So it won't take long.
- 21:01SPEAKER_03: It's a quick, quick little quiz.
- 21:03SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I would think that would be super helpful, but I I don't know if I want to commit myself to something like that.
- 21:10SPEAKER_02: But yeah, yeah, just go ahead.
- 21:12SPEAKER_02: Go ahead.
- 21:13SPEAKER_03: Okay, okay.
- 21:14SPEAKER_03: Okay, number one.
- 21:15SPEAKER_03: Do you believe in less federal government in our lives, except when it comes to abortion, vaccines, voting laws, media, entertainment?
- 21:25SPEAKER_02: I want to say absolutely, because like less is actually more.
- 21:34SPEAKER_02: That's something else my grandpa Hank used to say.
- 21:37SPEAKER_03: Very good.
- 21:38SPEAKER_03: Very good.
- 21:39SPEAKER_03: Now, number two, do you believe that elections are unnecessary and that January 6th was simply an organized tour of the Capitol?
- 21:50SPEAKER_02: You know.
- 21:53SPEAKER_02: I do.
- 21:54SPEAKER_02: I I do think that voting should be optional and like what's this about January 6th?
- 22:01SPEAKER_02: Using Mr.
- 22:02SPEAKER_02: Bean's birthday to go on a tour.
- 22:06SPEAKER_02: I no, I don't think I'm free that day.
- 22:09SPEAKER_02: Like, can I I'm observant, you know?
- 22:11SPEAKER_02: Like, can I get back to you on that?
- 22:14SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I think you can get back to us.
- 22:16SPEAKER_04: Let's let's go to that third question.
- 22:17SPEAKER_04: I think we're gonna go to the show.
- 22:18SPEAKER_04: Yeah, why don't you take that one?
- 22:19SPEAKER_03: Yeah, why don't you take that third one, Jeff?
- 22:21SPEAKER_04: Do you believe that men should play in women's sports?
- 22:25SPEAKER_02: I mean, why not?
- 22:27SPEAKER_02: Like, who doesn't like co ed cornhole?
- 22:31SPEAKER_02: Or like, you know, when you're out on the golf course by yourself, like using the women's tea box, like when nobody's looking.
- 22:38SPEAKER_02: Like, we all do that, right?
- 22:41SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 22:42SPEAKER_04: So, Steve, uh, we should probably total up the test and see and and and give you an idea on maybe which direction you should go.
- 22:50SPEAKER_04: It looks like you might be a Republican or possibly a Democrat or what they are calling now a Republicrat.
- 22:59SPEAKER_02: Oh.
- 23:00SPEAKER_04: So, does that help?
- 23:02SPEAKER_02: It does, or at least I I think it does.
- 23:07SPEAKER_02: Can I let you know?
- 23:09SPEAKER_02: I'd like to do a bit more research, but you know, thanks so much for your help.
- 23:14SPEAKER_03: Oh, Hilary, it's been our pleasure.
- 23:16SPEAKER_03: We are so glad that hopefully we've helped you, and maybe we've helped some of the others in that the millions, let's face it, Jeff, the millions out there that listen to our show, maybe some of them are undecided voters as well.
- 23:28SPEAKER_03: And maybe we've helped them too.
- 23:30SPEAKER_03: Please, Hillary, feel free to reach out to us if you need help as we get closer to the election.
- 23:35SPEAKER_03: I want to thank you for being on our show and oh Steve and Jeff Show Band sing us out with something really appropriate.
- 23:46SPEAKER_01: This has been a both sides production in association with decision phobic media.
- 23:54SPEAKER_01: Read all about our hosts at stevenjeff.com.
- 23:59SPEAKER_01: We have a special feature for undecided voters.
- 24:02SPEAKER_01: Take out a quarter, flip it in the air with heads or tail, doesn't matter.
- 24:07SPEAKER_01: Flip it again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again.
