- 0:13Speaker 3: you what day it is today, Big sh love this.
- 0:16Speaker 4: Good morning Megan, Good morning Frog, and John.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Good morning John, Morning, Frog Morning Meg.
- 0:21Speaker 2: So we talked about this a lot, so now that
- 0:24Speaker 2: we're one day into this week or technically two days,
- 0:27Speaker 2: let me go ahead and ask you once again if
- 0:29Speaker 2: you could take a Monday or Friday off and have
- 0:31Speaker 2: your four day week.
- 0:32Speaker 1: What would be your preference?
- 0:34Speaker 2: As we do start this Wednesday, we're halfway through the
- 0:37Speaker 2: week after only working one day, John, would you choose
- 0:40Speaker 2: Monday or Friday.
- 0:41Speaker 1: To have off? I'm going with Monday. Me too, Me too, Megan?
- 0:45Speaker 1: What about you?
- 0:46Speaker 5: I'm Friday girl. Get me out of here, quicker You
- 0:49Speaker 5: got Monday?
- 0:50Speaker 4: Guys.
- 0:51Speaker 5: Yeah, it makes it feel I don't know, like like
- 0:54Speaker 5: a freebie more.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 0:56Speaker 2: I just I love having that Monday off because I
- 0:58Speaker 2: woke up today and instantly thinking.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Wow, it's already Wednesday.
- 1:02Speaker 2: We get today. Then we only got to work two
- 1:04Speaker 2: more days. We're already this week's half over. It's the
- 1:07Speaker 2: worst part, you know, Let's be honest, the worst part
- 1:08Speaker 2: is waking up getting out of bed.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Once you've done that.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Part, it's like the rest of it's just it's all downhill,
- 1:13Speaker 2: a easy sliding from there.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Oh.
- 1:15Speaker 3: I got to tell you about a stupid dream I
- 1:16Speaker 3: had this morning. It woke me up this morning.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Okay, I was.
- 1:20Speaker 3: Driving around with John Madden, John Madden, the old NFL guy,
- 1:24Speaker 3: you know the Madden game, and.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Everybody boom, whoa you know John Madden? Right.
- 1:28Speaker 3: So John Madden and I, I don't think we're in
- 1:30Speaker 3: his cruiser. We're like in a car and John madd
- 1:33Speaker 3: and I are somewhere looking for a game, I think,
- 1:35Speaker 3: and he tells me, yeah, go down that way.
- 1:37Speaker 1: Yeah, and just being his normal John Madden self.
- 1:40Speaker 3: And it was John Madden with me in the car
- 1:43Speaker 3: and he's pointing that go down that way because that's
- 1:45Speaker 3: the way we always go. And evidently I had been
- 1:48Speaker 3: drinking a lot, because I had alcohol in my breath,
- 1:50Speaker 3: and I thought, okay, man, but I'm better off than
- 1:53Speaker 3: John Madden. I don't even know because he doesn't drive.
- 1:56Speaker 3: And so I'm driving him and I get to a
- 1:58Speaker 3: point and I'm like, hey, let me get out now
- 2:00Speaker 3: this police officer.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Am I in the right place? So you're gonna be
- 2:03Speaker 1: on the floor idiots? Yes, And so I get out
- 2:06Speaker 1: of the car.
- 2:07Speaker 3: I knew I had a little alcohol in my breath,
- 2:09Speaker 3: but I knew I wasn't too far gone, right. And
- 2:11Speaker 3: I get out of the car and I go up
- 2:13Speaker 3: to the police officer with a piece of paper and
- 2:16Speaker 3: it was like a Google map, but it was like
- 2:18Speaker 3: on paper, and so and I was trying to fold
- 2:21Speaker 3: it up to where I just wanted to show him
- 2:22Speaker 3: exactly where we're going. And so I fold up this
- 2:25Speaker 3: piece of paper and I go up to the officer
- 2:27Speaker 3: and said, are we close to here? And he goes,
- 2:31Speaker 3: that's nothing that I don't know. What are you showing me?
- 2:34Speaker 3: That's nothing? I think, oh my gosh, that came out wrong.
- 2:36Speaker 3: And I'm showing him something. He's really gonna think I'm drunk.
- 2:40Speaker 3: John Man's nowhere to be found. He's still in my car,
- 2:41Speaker 3: not doing anything. He could have walked down and probably
- 2:43Speaker 3: everything would have been fine. But Madden's looking at just
- 2:46Speaker 3: sitting in the car, and I'm going, oh my gosh,
- 2:48Speaker 3: I'm sweating bullets. And I look at what I showed him,
- 2:50Speaker 3: and I showed him a QR code of all things,
- 2:53Speaker 3: and the Policeman's like, that's nothing, that's nothing, and I'm like, oh,
- 2:56Speaker 3: I'm just horrible at folding things. And so I'm sweating
- 2:59Speaker 3: even and I start I start unfolding the map, trying
- 3:03Speaker 3: to find one or ever I was looking for. Thank god,
- 3:06Speaker 3: the alarm went off.
- 3:07Speaker 5: I don't know what's funnier, you and John Madden or
- 3:10Speaker 5: you putting off map quest in your dreams.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Oh, anyway, I hope I hope your morning was better,
- 3:18Speaker 3: because as soon as I woke up, I thought, oh,
- 3:20Speaker 3: this is already going to be better. Sweating in front
- 3:24Speaker 3: of police officer with John Madden.
- 3:25Speaker 2: In my car with John Madden, who, by the way,
- 3:27Speaker 2: never flew He took a bus everywhere he went and
- 3:29Speaker 2: was walking on airplane exactly. He was riding around with
- 3:33Speaker 2: John John Himmer law. Let's get into Megan's three Things
- 3:39Speaker 2: you need to Know to get you through your Jack's Wednesday.
- 3:41Speaker 5: There's plans in place for this new veterans community center
- 3:45Speaker 5: near Hogan's Creek, and it looks really cool. I'm pretty
- 3:47Speaker 5: pumped up about this because they've got these planned rendering photos.
- 3:52Speaker 4: Is what they're calling them.
- 3:53Speaker 5: It's kind of like a mock up of what they
- 3:56Speaker 5: wanted to look like. And it looks really cool. A
- 3:59Speaker 5: really big two stories in a lot of different spots
- 4:04Speaker 5: where you can do stuff like a gym, a coffee bar,
- 4:06Speaker 5: meeting spaces.
- 4:08Speaker 4: Twenty twenty nine. They're supposed to have it done and
- 4:11Speaker 4: you will catch me there.
- 4:12Speaker 1: I'm about to say that's a place that you would go.
- 4:15Speaker 4: Oh, definitely, if it's like a free gym, worked out,
- 4:18Speaker 4: hangout space.
- 4:19Speaker 5: I think that'd be really great for the amount of
- 4:21Speaker 5: veterans we have.
- 4:22Speaker 4: In the community.
- 4:22Speaker 1: I think so too.
- 4:23Speaker 5: Fernanita Beach High School history and government teacher Sarah Tarti.
- 4:28Speaker 5: She's one of the five finalists for the Florida Teacher
- 4:31Speaker 5: of the Year Award. Go Sarah, And this is really
- 4:33Speaker 5: really special because Miss Twarti's end of year test scores
- 4:36Speaker 5: for history is the highest that the school has ever seen.
- 4:39Speaker 1: It's a way to do it.
- 4:40Speaker 4: I just love this.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Some just do a better job than others, and I'm
- 4:43Speaker 1: nice to recognize her.
- 4:44Speaker 5: Absolutely, everyone deserves some good recognition. UNF has a new
- 4:48Speaker 5: lab to look into how extreme weather affects athletes, workers
- 4:53Speaker 5: and service members.
- 4:54Speaker 4: It's called the Perry Weather Heat Lab.
- 4:57Speaker 5: It's really cool because I'm telling you what, Hey, I've
- 5:00Speaker 5: I've seen a lot of heat strokes happened in the
- 5:01Speaker 5: field when I was in the Army.
- 5:02Speaker 3: I bet and it's the big show with Froggie, John
- 5:05Speaker 3: and Megan. Great to be with you.
- 5:07Speaker 2: So Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani both doing shows in
- 5:10Speaker 2: Las Vegas at the same time. Blake's got his own
- 5:13Speaker 2: little residency going and Gwenn in No Doubt are playing Sphere,
- 5:17Speaker 2: which is absolutely incredible, incredible place to see a show.
- 5:20Speaker 2: So over the weekend Blake Shelton actually took a night
- 5:23Speaker 2: to go see Gwyn and No Doubt it spear. It's
- 5:27Speaker 2: the first time he had been able to see them there,
- 5:30Speaker 2: which I think is super cool. Going to see your
- 5:31Speaker 2: wife being supportive of her doing her show with her band,
- 5:34Speaker 2: that is cool.
- 5:35Speaker 3: I hoped he could get a seat. Yeah, where did
- 5:38Speaker 3: he know to get to get a good suit? No?
- 5:40Speaker 1: I think that's way cool.
- 5:42Speaker 4: It was cool. It was cool to see online.
- 5:44Speaker 5: I was watching him because Gwen Stefani her outfits. I'm
- 5:48Speaker 5: always interested to see how she's going to bring back
- 5:50Speaker 5: the old Gwen in today's time.
- 5:53Speaker 4: She just looks cool. She looked cool if she sounded great,
- 5:56Speaker 4: that is.
- 5:56Speaker 2: I love that Gwen Gwyn actually shouted out Blake from
- 5:59Speaker 2: the stage. The city had stayed off social media. He
- 6:02Speaker 2: had not seen any of the rehearsals, he hadn't seen
- 6:04Speaker 2: any of the teases on social He wanted to be
- 6:06Speaker 2: totally surprised when he got there and saw the show.
- 6:09Speaker 2: But Gwyn shouted him out. So pretty cool for him
- 6:12Speaker 2: to go and support her. And it's weird every now
- 6:14Speaker 2: and then we get these like rumblings and rumors that
- 6:17Speaker 2: there's issues going on between the two of them and
- 6:19Speaker 2: this and the other. But I think they just they
- 6:21Speaker 2: live out in Oklahoma. They do things their way, and
- 6:23Speaker 2: I just I love how they've been able to just
- 6:26Speaker 2: stay under the radar and keep their life pretty private
- 6:29Speaker 2: and only give us what they want us to know,
- 6:31Speaker 2: which I'm perfectly okay with.
- 6:33Speaker 5: Yeah, they seem happy at their house, you know, growing
- 6:35Speaker 5: a bunch of cute vegetables and going mushroom hunting.
- 6:39Speaker 3: I leave them be right. They're in Oklahoma for a reason.
- 6:42Speaker 3: You know, they're a weigh the hell from you. That's
- 6:44Speaker 3: the best part.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Let's get into Megan's Music City Minute. What else is
- 6:48Speaker 2: going on in Nashville?
- 6:49Speaker 5: Well, I thought we should check in on Meghan Maroney.
- 6:51Speaker 5: So we know that she wasn't at the ACMs because
- 6:55Speaker 5: she was attending her best friend's wedding as the maid
- 6:58Speaker 5: of honor. But what's really interesting to me is she
- 7:02Speaker 5: got up and she performed during her best friend's wedding
- 7:05Speaker 5: her song Wonder.
- 7:07Speaker 4: It's a song about heartbreak.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Oh.
- 7:09Speaker 5: She said that she did it because that friend went
- 7:12Speaker 5: through a bad relationship and inspired the idea for the song.
- 7:16Speaker 4: But I mean it's it's a heartrencher.
- 7:18Speaker 5: If you're going through it and you listen to Megan
- 7:20Speaker 5: Maroney's song Wonder, you'll you'll start crying.
- 7:23Speaker 4: Yeah. So I don't know. I don't know how to
- 7:26Speaker 4: feel about it.
- 7:27Speaker 5: But if I ever get married and my best friend
- 7:30Speaker 5: sings a sad song about a past relationship she's getting
- 7:33Speaker 5: kicked out.
- 7:34Speaker 4: That's awesome.
- 7:36Speaker 1: It's just not happening.
- 7:37Speaker 4: I'm Megan. That's your Music City Minute.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Well, you know it's funny that you're talking about a
- 7:41Speaker 3: celebrity singing at somebody else's thing. Did you see the
- 7:45Speaker 3: DJ Diplow? Did you see anything about him over the weekend. No, No,
- 7:49Speaker 3: not Diplow. He's the dude that he know. He remixes
- 7:51Speaker 3: and does all kinds of mixing and stuff like that.
- 7:54Speaker 3: He DJed, he DJ'ed his son's kindergarten graduation.
- 7:58Speaker 1: That's awesome. Cool.
- 8:00Speaker 3: There's a bunch of six year olds just bouncing up
- 8:02Speaker 3: and down in Diplo standing behind the mic, and he said,
- 8:05Speaker 3: it's one. By the end of this week, I think
- 8:06Speaker 3: all the schools in this area are going to be out.
- 8:08Speaker 3: I know Baker's been out since last week. And we
- 8:10Speaker 3: got some today, we got some tomorrow, we got some
- 8:12Speaker 3: on Friday. Uh, And it's going to be summertime, getting
- 8:15Speaker 3: out to getting going time time. It is big show
- 8:18Speaker 3: with Froggie, John and Meghan in Country ninety nine one WQIK.
- 8:21Speaker 1: And of course, you know, making taking some road trips.
- 8:24Speaker 3: Maybe is not as much with the way prices are
- 8:27Speaker 3: right now, but getting away and maybe taking a road
- 8:30Speaker 3: trip there.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Have y'all been to? Have y'all been to?
- 8:33Speaker 3: It's like some of the landmarks, American landmarks that you
- 8:35Speaker 3: remember the most, Megan, do you remember it all?
- 8:37Speaker 5: Well? I grew up in Missouri, so Saint Louis hits
- 8:40Speaker 5: my mind yep. And I made a cool trip one
- 8:44Speaker 5: time and I saw a ton tavern where it used
- 8:48Speaker 5: to stand. That's where the Marine Corps was founded. They
- 8:50Speaker 5: say in a bar. Okay, a bunch of guys got
- 8:52Speaker 5: together drinking. Why don't we just form our own brand?
- 8:55Speaker 5: Basically right. So it was cool, but there was nothing
- 8:58Speaker 5: there except you know, a pla So okay, little livery.
- 9:02Speaker 1: But in St. Louis you got the Arch.
- 9:03Speaker 4: Yeah, except it never works.
- 9:06Speaker 5: You know, you can't ever go in and you shouldn't
- 9:08Speaker 5: ever go inside it anyway, because you kind of you're like,
- 9:11Speaker 5: is it?
- 9:11Speaker 4: Is it movie?
- 9:12Speaker 1: I got to the base of it, and so I'm good.
- 9:14Speaker 1: That's the arch. Very cool.
- 9:15Speaker 4: There it is.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Now let's go to the baseball game. That was basically
- 9:18Speaker 3: me and Saint Louis. Uh froggy, how about you? Yeah,
- 9:21Speaker 3: I've been to the arch. I actually went up in
- 9:22Speaker 3: the arch to take an elevator up to the top.
- 9:25Speaker 3: We went up in there, just little windows. I mean,
- 9:26Speaker 3: it's it's beautiful to see. But once you're there, you're like, okay,
- 9:30Speaker 3: let's see it.
- 9:31Speaker 4: I see the liberty bell.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Get down the liberty bell. I didn't see the liberty bell.
- 9:36Speaker 3: My sisters went when we were up there for something
- 9:38Speaker 3: and I went somewhere else. Uh is the Liberty Bell
- 9:40Speaker 3: not as big as you thought? No, it's much smaller.
- 9:43Speaker 3: I get there and I'm like, okay, so that can't
- 9:45Speaker 3: be it, and they're like, yeah, that there it is.
- 9:46Speaker 3: There's the whole thing.
- 9:47Speaker 1: So that's it. I saw that. I went to the Alamo,
- 9:50Speaker 1: talk about not as big as your thought.
- 9:53Speaker 2: I was in San Antonio for something and I'm like,
- 9:56Speaker 2: you know what, I'm there, I might as well just go.
- 9:58Speaker 1: So I drove down saw it and it's like I'm
- 10:01Speaker 1: not exaggerating.
- 10:03Speaker 2: It might be the size of a big seven eleven.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Yeah, and it's right next to a bank.
- 10:09Speaker 4: There's nothing like tourists.
- 10:10Speaker 3: He there like, well, the whole thing is touristy. Now
- 10:12Speaker 3: you can go, but you have to pull into the
- 10:14Speaker 3: parking lot and it's got a bigger maybe a bigger
- 10:17Speaker 3: parking lot than a seven eleven. But maybe the parking
- 10:19Speaker 3: lot the size of a BUCkies. But that's it. And
- 10:21Speaker 3: the actual building itself is like real, it might maybe
- 10:25Speaker 3: BUCkies would dwarf it.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Oh oh you could put seven Alamos and BUCkies yeah
- 10:32Speaker 2: for sure.
- 10:33Speaker 5: Okay, so don't plan a trip just to go see
- 10:35Speaker 5: the Alamo, is what you're saying?
- 10:37Speaker 1: That was funny.
- 10:38Speaker 3: There was a list of the ten most complained about
- 10:40Speaker 3: US landmarks, and some people, I guess that went to
- 10:43Speaker 3: Tombstone State Park and evidently there's nothing there. They say
- 10:47Speaker 3: the Kennedy Space Center is a complaint about landmark.
- 10:51Speaker 4: Really sorry, I don't know.
- 10:52Speaker 1: I mean, there's not a whole bunch going on.
- 10:54Speaker 3: If nothing's if a rocket's not taking off, maybe they're
- 10:57Speaker 3: upset about that. So that that's kind of or too.
- 11:00Speaker 3: But the Alamo was certainly in that list of people worse.
- 11:04Speaker 1: This is it, This is it.
- 11:05Speaker 5: I don't want the two of you both got vamboozled
- 11:08Speaker 5: into going, well that's the way it goes.
- 11:12Speaker 3: So I didn't know. So which one is? Which one
- 11:14Speaker 3: is the one that took your breath away the most?
- 11:15Speaker 3: Have you seen anything? You went, Oh my gosh. I
- 11:18Speaker 3: remember crying when I saw the Statue of Liberty and
- 11:20Speaker 3: hearing your hearing Charles singing America the Beautiful when you're
- 11:23Speaker 3: on the ferry, I was like, okay, that that'll do
- 11:26Speaker 3: me right there.
- 11:27Speaker 4: That was special.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Liberty is beautiful. It really is absolutely gorgeous. And when
- 11:30Speaker 2: you get up close, up close to it. It is
- 11:32Speaker 2: an unbelievable statue.
- 11:35Speaker 5: It is gorgeous going into Ellis Island too, in that
- 11:38Speaker 5: realm that it had a lot of I don't know,
- 11:42Speaker 5: like emotions. I think though I went to Pearl Harbor,
- 11:45Speaker 5: I just remembered, oh, and I think that probably is
- 11:48Speaker 5: the top of the list.
- 11:49Speaker 1: My wife said the same thing. My son and my daughter.
- 11:51Speaker 3: They my son and daughter lived in Hawaii for a
- 11:53Speaker 3: short time and my wife went and visited and she's
- 11:56Speaker 3: psych Yeah, that just takes your breath away.
- 11:58Speaker 2: It will take your breath away, absolute will. And of
- 12:00Speaker 2: course I went there with Lisa and Kayden. We were
- 12:03Speaker 2: on vacation Hawaiian like I wanted to go. We wanted
- 12:05Speaker 2: to take Cayden because I wanted to see it. And
- 12:06Speaker 2: it has a feel that comes over you when you're there.
- 12:10Speaker 2: And of course I was the guy taking pictures when
- 12:12Speaker 2: they where they tell you not to, just because it
- 12:15Speaker 2: was so It's just it's something you want to be
- 12:18Speaker 2: able to go back and look at it again because
- 12:20Speaker 2: it is an unbelievable moment in time that you really
- 12:23Speaker 2: just cannot imagine what it was like that day there.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Mm hmm. Indeed, coming a few days off a Memorial Day.
- 12:29Speaker 1: It's even the head.
- 12:33Speaker 3: With Country ninety nine one wqi K The Big Show
- 12:36Speaker 3: with Froggie, John and Megan. We go to Port Orange,
- 12:39Speaker 3: about ninety minutes away from US. Man was arrested last
- 12:43Speaker 3: week after assaulting a seventy year old.
- 12:46Speaker 1: Man, a guy who put on the wedding.
- 12:49Speaker 3: Oh no, the wedding officiant got assaulted by this dude
- 12:53Speaker 3: over the price of a beachside ceremony. He approached the
- 12:58Speaker 3: officiant in an employee after they finished a wedding at Toronita.
- 13:03Speaker 4: Park and started him down to the sand, started.
- 13:07Speaker 3: Arguing that the wedding should have cost five hundred dollars,
- 13:11Speaker 3: and the officiants said, I ain't my problem.
- 13:13Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 13:14Speaker 3: I'm just saying that I do stuff. And then the
- 13:17Speaker 3: guy he didn't care. You were there in your trouble.
- 13:21Speaker 3: This guy started swatting at him, hitt him, knocked the
- 13:24Speaker 3: wind out of the guy, and then he threatened to
- 13:26Speaker 3: call his boys, and then he drove away in the
- 13:30Speaker 3: Blue Kiya Kings.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Yeah his boys don't get his boys. I don't know.
- 13:35Speaker 3: Anyway, he got busted and the officiant's going to be okay,
- 13:39Speaker 3: but me getting beaten down, I said, not so favorites.
- 13:44Speaker 3: Someone earlier mentioned the Alamo. Not so much, Susan. Thank
- 13:47Speaker 3: you for calling I just.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Well, I all know I grew I kind of lived
- 13:51Speaker 2: in San Antonio from my middle school at high school
- 13:54Speaker 2: years back in the eighties, and yes, the Alamo.
- 13:58Speaker 4: Was the most boring.
- 13:59Speaker 2: Twice ever, Wait, every time we had relatives.
- 14:03Speaker 5: Come visit, my parents would take them to the Alamo.
- 14:06Speaker 3: And they got Monday nine one w q I K
- 14:09Speaker 3: Wednesday Morning with the Big Show. Thanks so much for
- 14:11Speaker 3: making us a part of your day. It's froggy, John
- 14:13Speaker 3: and Meghan.
- 14:14Speaker 2: It is a Wednesday, man, it feels good second day
- 14:16Speaker 2: of the week if you were lucky enough to have
- 14:17Speaker 2: Monday off. We're already halfway through this week and coming
- 14:21Speaker 2: up right just a few minutes, gonna play the pop quiz.
- 14:23Speaker 2: Somebody's gonna win tickets to Wild ad Adventures in Valdosta,
- 14:27Speaker 2: fun little park. And also I think they've got some
- 14:30Speaker 2: good concerts series stuff going on. Parmarly and Low Cash
- 14:32Speaker 2: will be there. I believe Travis Tritt also on the
- 14:36Speaker 2: on the roll earlier or later on this summer. So
- 14:38Speaker 2: lots of good stuff going on there. We'll play the
- 14:40Speaker 2: pop quiz Megan, I have a quick question, what's up?
- 14:44Speaker 2: When's the last time you went on a first date?
- 14:48Speaker 5: Year in and year and I don't know, months ago, maybe
- 14:52Speaker 5: year and a half plus.
- 14:53Speaker 4: Year and a half.
- 14:54Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, I mean but you remember your first date
- 14:57Speaker 1: with Oli?
- 14:58Speaker 4: Yes?
- 14:59Speaker 2: Okay, Now, prior to Ali, when was the last time
- 15:01Speaker 2: you had gone on a first date? Like first dates
- 15:04Speaker 2: were a thing for a while.
- 15:05Speaker 5: Correct, I only went out yeah, one guy, there was
- 15:10Speaker 5: one guy before him I had went out with Okay.
- 15:13Speaker 1: So have you ever gone on a first date just
- 15:18Speaker 1: to get the free meal?
- 15:20Speaker 4: No? Never, No, okay never.
- 15:25Speaker 5: I don't like to really eat restaurants a whole lot,
- 15:28Speaker 5: so especially not with strangers of comfortable Now.
- 15:32Speaker 2: New survey reveals the average first date cost almost one
- 15:35Speaker 2: hundred dollars. But that get this one and a four intents,
- 15:40Speaker 2: so forty percent of people admit to going on a
- 15:43Speaker 2: first date just to get the free meal. They really
- 15:46Speaker 2: weren't interested in the person. They're like, yeah, hey, i'll
- 15:49Speaker 2: take a free I'll take a free meal. I get one.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Wow.
- 15:52Speaker 3: Maybe the guy's talking big, like let's go to Ruth
- 15:54Speaker 3: Chris and whatever.
- 15:55Speaker 1: You're like, Okay, I'll go for the meal.
- 15:57Speaker 4: Like I've been playing this wrong.
- 15:59Speaker 3: I have a few My sister might have done that
- 16:01Speaker 3: a couple of times. I gotta admit, she's not here
- 16:04Speaker 3: to defend herself anymore, but I think she may.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Have done that a couple of times.
- 16:07Speaker 4: Oh man, I'm.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Telling you right now nine of four to three, eight, eight
- 16:12Speaker 2: thirty six ninety nine. If you have gone on a
- 16:14Speaker 2: first date just simply to get the free meal, we
- 16:18Speaker 2: want to hear from you.
- 16:19Speaker 4: I'm sure it happens. I mean, I'm not.
- 16:21Speaker 2: I'm not gonna judge you would meantimes, times are tough,
- 16:24Speaker 2: meal's expensive, and going out in public on a first
- 16:28Speaker 2: date is probably a little safer than being somewhere not
- 16:31Speaker 2: in public, so that way that you can get to
- 16:33Speaker 2: know this person, and there's other people around, and people
- 16:36Speaker 2: do tend to be on their best behavior when in
- 16:38Speaker 2: front of other adults, not alone.
- 16:41Speaker 1: Do you know what I mean?
- 16:41Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 16:42Speaker 1: What we say you and Lisa's first date, Oh I
- 16:45Speaker 1: should even Megan's gonna writ me on this one. I
- 16:47Speaker 1: know it. You ready?
- 16:49Speaker 2: Where I took Lisa on our very first time we
- 16:51Speaker 2: ever went anywhere together out with it we went to Appleby's.
- 16:56Speaker 1: You kidding?
- 16:56Speaker 5: Get you for twenty dealt for twenty five bargaritas?
- 17:01Speaker 4: We did?
- 17:02Speaker 1: We went to appleby'said nothing wrong with Applebee's.
- 17:04Speaker 4: That's actually really cute.
- 17:06Speaker 2: That was our first date. We were like Walker Hayes
- 17:09Speaker 2: Appleby's on a date night. We went to Appleby's. Back
- 17:13Speaker 2: in nineteen ninety seven.
- 17:16Speaker 3: Seven we went to see The Big Chill. That's how
- 17:19Speaker 3: long ago it was our first date.
- 17:20Speaker 4: All right, hold on, I gotta look that up. Hold on, movie,
- 17:23Speaker 4: The Big Chill.
- 17:24Speaker 2: The Big Chill movie is so.
- 17:28Speaker 4: Wholesome, nineteen eighty three. What kind of movie was it?
- 17:32Speaker 5: Oh?
- 17:33Speaker 3: It was about a bunch of baby boomers whining about
- 17:35Speaker 3: being thirty years old.
- 17:36Speaker 1: It's a comedy.
- 17:37Speaker 4: It was a comedy.
- 17:38Speaker 1: It was pretty good.
- 17:39Speaker 3: It went like a you know, it was kind of
- 17:41Speaker 3: a romantic comedy, kind of not kind of serious.
- 17:44Speaker 5: But anyway, anyway, did you put one of those moves
- 17:47Speaker 5: trying to put your.
- 17:47Speaker 1: Arm out in the darknight? I didn't do any of that.
- 17:50Speaker 1: And but you know where we went, I got your
- 17:53Speaker 1: topped frog? Where where we went to Wendy's.
- 17:57Speaker 4: That's right, as you used to go to that one
- 18:01Speaker 4: all the time.
- 18:01Speaker 3: Yeah, we ended up going to that same Wedday's until
- 18:03Speaker 3: they turned it into a liquor store.
- 18:04Speaker 4: So was it driver or was it sit down? Oh?
- 18:06Speaker 1: We sat? Oh honey, that's a date. We're sitting down.
- 18:11Speaker 3: What we even sat in the little slarium part of
- 18:13Speaker 3: the wind Oh the sunroom, the sunroom.
- 18:16Speaker 4: What a sunroom?
- 18:17Speaker 3: They used to have this thing kind of jutted out
- 18:20Speaker 3: and then had some sit in the sun.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Yeah. The problem was in those sun rooms. It was
- 18:25Speaker 1: all glass.
- 18:26Speaker 2: It was one hundred and eighty two degrees and that
- 18:28Speaker 2: you could and you were more cooked than the burger was.
- 18:30Speaker 1: It went in November and we it was one hundred
- 18:32Speaker 1: and eighty two degrees.
- 18:33Speaker 4: It was jillsburger overdone. So you sat her out there.
- 18:37Speaker 3: Round it up a little bit, round up a little bit, right,
- 18:40Speaker 3: So yeah, get in correct.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Good to know for your Jacksonville Wednesday.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Once again, if you've been on a first date and
- 18:47Speaker 2: you only went just to get the free mill, call
- 18:49Speaker 2: us nine four to three, eight, eight thirty six at
- 18:51Speaker 2: ninety nine.
- 18:52Speaker 1: What's going on, Megan, Well, there's.
- 18:53Speaker 5: Plans in place for this new veterans community center near
- 18:57Speaker 5: Hogan's Creek. I'm super stoked for because they put out
- 19:00Speaker 5: these planned rendered photos is what they're calling them. It
- 19:04Speaker 5: kind of looks like if you had an empty building
- 19:06Speaker 5: and he asked, AI, can you put in all these
- 19:09Speaker 5: plans we have into a picture so we can see
- 19:12Speaker 5: it in real time, and so they did. They'll be
- 19:15Speaker 5: two stories, meeting spaces, a gym, and a coffee bar.
- 19:19Speaker 4: Twenty twenty eight, twenty twenty nine is when it's supposed
- 19:21Speaker 4: to be done, and that is where you will find me.
- 19:24Speaker 5: Fernanina Beach High School History and Government teacher Sarah Torty.
- 19:28Speaker 5: She's one of five finalists for the Florida Teacher of
- 19:31Speaker 5: the Year award. And what's really special is Miss Twarty's
- 19:34Speaker 5: end of the year test scores for history is the
- 19:36Speaker 5: highest that the school has ever seen. And we're really
- 19:40Speaker 5: excited because ninety nine days of summers in full swing
- 19:44Speaker 5: and we're giving the chances every other hour.
- 19:47Speaker 4: On the odd numbers.
- 19:48Speaker 3: Starting at nine forty forty mark, Okay, starting at nine
- 19:51Speaker 3: forty this morning.
- 19:52Speaker 5: Your chance to win a Chevy Equinox thanks to our
- 19:54Speaker 5: friends at nim Nick Chevrolet.
- 19:56Speaker 4: That's three things you need to know, all right.
- 19:58Speaker 2: We got some take us the Wild Adventure Low Cash
- 20:00Speaker 2: and Parmally doing a show there in June.
- 20:03Speaker 1: If you want to go, just play the pop quiz
- 20:05Speaker 1: your chance to win. Call right now.
- 20:07Speaker 3: Callus ninety quiz just a couple of minutes away, playing
- 20:10Speaker 3: for a trip to Valdosta Wild Adventures.
- 20:12Speaker 1: Some great concerts this summer Wait.
- 20:14Speaker 3: Country ninety nine one WQYK, Good Morning, the Big Show
- 20:16Speaker 3: with Froggie, John and Meghan.
- 20:18Speaker 1: All Right, Megan, I got a question for you.
- 20:20Speaker 2: Okay, if you could translate your dog's sounds, barks, whatever,
- 20:29Speaker 2: into words human speech, would you want to do it?
- 20:33Speaker 4: Yes? I would love that, Yes I would. I would
- 20:37Speaker 4: just be over the moon. I wouldn't know what Luna
- 20:39Speaker 4: is thinking, little Luna Bear.
- 20:41Speaker 2: So, a startup based company in China just launched a
- 20:44Speaker 2: new wearable device for pets. They wear it, the pet
- 20:46Speaker 2: wears it, and they claim that it translates their animal
- 20:51Speaker 2: emotions into human speech. Now it says with close to
- 20:55Speaker 2: ninety five percent accuracy. Now here's my question, because I
- 20:59Speaker 2: have to play the devil's advocate because that's just who
- 21:01Speaker 2: I am, and I'm sure John probably agrees with me.
- 21:05Speaker 2: How did they know how accurate this is?
- 21:08Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 21:09Speaker 2: Like who they talk to? Like what they mean they
- 21:12Speaker 2: because we're dealing with dogs, and how do you know that?
- 21:16Speaker 2: Oh yeah, you know what, that sentence was accurate, but
- 21:18Speaker 2: that one's not.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Who's to say.
- 21:21Speaker 4: I think we'd have to test it out because like
- 21:23Speaker 4: you know, you know, like how would you know. It's
- 21:26Speaker 4: kind of like.
- 21:26Speaker 5: Babies when when your dog makes a certain type of
- 21:31Speaker 5: bark to you when they want to go outside, or
- 21:33Speaker 5: you can tell if there's a delivery person or if
- 21:36Speaker 5: there's like someone trying to break in the house.
- 21:37Speaker 4: It's like different barks that you get used to.
- 21:39Speaker 5: Okay, yeah, when babies are little and you know if
- 21:42Speaker 5: they need to be fed or you're.
- 21:44Speaker 2: Right, you're right because Rex has a different bark when
- 21:46Speaker 2: he feels like when he's just barking the bark, or
- 21:49Speaker 2: when I can tell from another room if he's really
- 21:52Speaker 2: upset about something.
- 21:53Speaker 1: I can tell a difference in.
- 21:54Speaker 3: The barks, right, And they're not deep thinkers probably, so
- 21:57Speaker 3: they're not going to be thinking so the hypod news,
- 22:00Speaker 3: so that ant gool. They're just going to say, I'm hungry,
- 22:02Speaker 3: I want food, I need to go out, and then.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Who's that delivery guy? Yeah, so maybe you're right.
- 22:06Speaker 5: Make if Luna starts saying some things on this AI
- 22:10Speaker 5: deal that I'm like, I know you're not you.
- 22:12Speaker 4: Mommy has never said that big giant word.
- 22:14Speaker 5: If she starts talking like John out of at thesaurus,
- 22:17Speaker 5: I'll know that this.
- 22:18Speaker 4: Thing is made up? And is it gonna be the like?
- 22:21Speaker 5: Chinese to American translation, is she gonna talk like?
- 22:26Speaker 1: Says? The gadget hangs from the pets collar.
- 22:29Speaker 2: Uses AI to study things like vocal patterns, behavior, body language,
- 22:33Speaker 2: and figures out what your pet is trying to say. Now,
- 22:36Speaker 2: now now make it. Let me ask this, what would
- 22:38Speaker 2: you pay for this device?
- 22:40Speaker 4: I would invest in a thirty year plan. Poor kids.
- 22:45Speaker 2: It costs one hundred and eighteen dollars and apparently more
- 22:49Speaker 2: than ten thousand people have already pre ordered one.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Wow, for one hundred and eighteen dollars, it's almost worth
- 22:54Speaker 1: a shot. Why don't you? Why don't we do one?
- 22:58Speaker 1: Who's going to say we're wrong?
- 23:00Speaker 5: I mean, John is pretty close to being a scientists
- 23:04Speaker 5: a judge. He's a groundhog. He could be a scientist
- 23:07Speaker 5: and be a scientist. You could, you could, and.
- 23:12Speaker 3: It won't be like a Chinese like you were wondering
- 23:15Speaker 3: if they would do it in English Chinese.
- 23:17Speaker 1: What are we talking like this?
- 23:18Speaker 3: Because you know Froggy's going to do this the rest
- 23:20Speaker 3: of the morning as soon as we turn the MIC's off.
- 23:22Speaker 5: Oh I'm trying. I'm trying to push him. There you are,
- 23:26Speaker 5: aren't you?
- 23:27Speaker 1: Trouble mate?
- 23:28Speaker 5: I would have to say when we went to Vegas,
- 23:30Speaker 5: we went over to Hoover Dam and it really is
- 23:34Speaker 5: pretty cool.
- 23:34Speaker 3: That's great, that's awesome. We appreciate y'all sharing that. Now
- 23:37Speaker 3: here we go, you in time for the pop quiz.
- 23:40Speaker 3: The first contestant guess is the number to the question?
- 23:42Speaker 3: The second says higher or lower. If we need a
- 23:44Speaker 3: time breaker, we'll ask a toss up question either contestant
- 23:46Speaker 3: can answer. One day, there might be a story told
- 23:49Speaker 3: about your trip to Valdosta the Wild Adventures. So here
- 23:51Speaker 3: we go, uh, Courtney, We start with you, actor George Clooney,
- 23:58Speaker 3: That handsome George Clooney.
- 24:00Speaker 1: How old is he? Courtney?
- 24:02Speaker 4: I'm gonna say sixty three?
- 24:05Speaker 1: Tyra? Is he older or younger?
- 24:08Speaker 4: I think he's a little older.
- 24:09Speaker 3: You were right, I mean exactly a little. He's sixty
- 24:12Speaker 3: five years old. Good guess, Courtney. But Tyra gets that point. Well,
- 24:17Speaker 3: all right, Tyra, this is your question? First, a survey
- 24:21Speaker 3: of older adults. They don't say how old, but they
- 24:23Speaker 3: say a survey of older adults revealed at what age
- 24:27Speaker 3: do we stop worrying about what other people think of us?
- 24:31Speaker 3: What is that age here in America?
- 24:33Speaker 1: Now?
- 24:33Speaker 3: Tyra, will I stopped caring about fifty, So I'm gonna
- 24:37Speaker 3: say sistem.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Okay, all right, Courtney, how about you?
- 24:40Speaker 3: It's a really good guess, but I'm gonna say younger
- 24:43Speaker 3: you were? Once again, it was a great guest, Tyra, Courtney.
- 24:46Speaker 3: You went in the right direction.
- 24:47Speaker 1: The age is forty six on this survey.
- 24:48Speaker 4: Okay, very good.
- 24:50Speaker 1: So Courtney gets that point. There you go. Okay, two
- 24:53Speaker 1: great game players here.
- 24:54Speaker 3: I love it. This is the pop quiz and we
- 24:56Speaker 3: roll it into overtime. So here we go a tie
- 24:59Speaker 3: breaker time. If you know the answer to this question,
- 25:02Speaker 3: shout your name please. It was ten years ago this
- 25:06Speaker 3: week that Derks Bentley had the number one hitting country music.
- 25:10Speaker 1: Now.
- 25:10Speaker 3: The first line was bet you think I'm sitting at home?
- 25:14Speaker 1: Nah?
- 25:15Speaker 3: Was the song drunk on a plane or Somewhere on
- 25:17Speaker 3: a beach, Courty Courtney on a beach?
- 25:21Speaker 1: Somewhere on a beach is the answer?
- 25:23Speaker 3: Yay. No, Tyra a great player. Thank you for playing.
- 25:28Speaker 3: You can play again. But Courtney, congratulations, you have got
- 25:31Speaker 3: the four pack of tickets to go to Valdosta. Oh yes,
- 25:35Speaker 3: welcome in steamy, as Michael Pringley says, our weather man,
- 25:39Speaker 3: steamy turning stormy. So we started, we started around about
- 25:43Speaker 3: eighty this morning, it's about eighty and now we're going
- 25:46Speaker 3: to get up to about ninety and then there's a
- 25:49Speaker 3: chance some scattered storms coming. But it looks like we've
- 25:51Speaker 3: got a rainy pattern happening like from Thursday through next Tuesday.
- 25:56Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 25:56Speaker 2: I saw something about tropical moisture pattern. Yes, is you know, listen,
- 26:00Speaker 2: we need it, you know what I mean. I know
- 26:01Speaker 2: it's not something that we all enjoy because it's going
- 26:03Speaker 2: to rain a lot, and some people forget how to
- 26:05Speaker 2: drive in the rain. I mean we have, I know
- 26:07Speaker 2: some people who don't drive well when it's dry, it's rain.
- 26:10Speaker 3: It's Megan had a few people who don't know how
- 26:13Speaker 3: to drive in the dry weather today.
- 26:15Speaker 5: Yes, yeah, so so when you introduced rain, oh man,
- 26:20Speaker 5: that's it.
- 26:21Speaker 1: They don't know what to do.
- 26:22Speaker 2: It's like they've never left house in rain before. It's
- 26:24Speaker 2: like we live in Florida.
- 26:25Speaker 3: You don't rains here, right, You know how that rainex stuff,
- 26:27Speaker 3: you know, gets on your windshield and it's magic, you
- 26:30Speaker 3: know it, It goes right off. I wish people could
- 26:33Speaker 3: ingest rain X and it would make them drive better
- 26:36Speaker 3: in the rain.
- 26:36Speaker 4: You could drive for us.
- 26:37Speaker 1: No, we need to make one. No I'm not. I'm
- 26:41Speaker 1: not offering people to ingest rain X. You gotta be careful. John.
- 26:45Speaker 2: Remember when the President made a joke that time about
- 26:47Speaker 2: drinking bleach try I saw to get rid of COVID.
- 26:50Speaker 2: He was joking and they thought he was serious. He's
- 26:51Speaker 2: not going to be John Scott tells people to drink rainex.
- 26:57Speaker 1: Lawsuit.
- 26:58Speaker 2: Yeah not, do not drink rainex. It's going to be sunny, yeah,
- 27:04Speaker 2: and hot again. And it has been sunny and hot. Man,
- 27:06Speaker 2: it feels like summertime is here. I know, Memorial Day.
- 27:09Speaker 2: We feel like Memorial Days a launch of summer. Yeah,
- 27:11Speaker 2: but I don't think the first day of summer is
- 27:12Speaker 2: like June one. Meteorology meteor meteor rock yeah that word meteorogically, weatherwise,
- 27:19Speaker 2: June first, yes.
- 27:21Speaker 1: Well, yeah, you already got a head start on your
- 27:23Speaker 1: sunburn too. How is that?
- 27:24Speaker 3: I mean, you're glowing still, but you know that that
- 27:27Speaker 3: first day of after glow is not as much there,
- 27:29Speaker 3: but you still look like you're hurt.
- 27:31Speaker 2: It's the first forty eight hours. So I got it
- 27:33Speaker 2: on Monday, a Memorial Day. We were out of the boat,
- 27:36Speaker 2: so I got it on Monday. So I'm thinking that
- 27:38Speaker 2: by tonight I'll be done. But I'm gonna tell you
- 27:41Speaker 2: last night I could only lay on my back. If
- 27:43Speaker 2: I tried to roll over on my side and sleep,
- 27:45Speaker 2: my skin would crinkle and it would hurt. It would
- 27:48Speaker 2: just and then I would say, well, maybe if I
- 27:49Speaker 2: lay here real still, why it's crinkling, it'll stop. Nope,
- 27:52Speaker 2: it just I had to lay back on my back again.
- 27:54Speaker 2: I got up a little after midnight and took some advil,
- 27:57Speaker 2: hopes that would take the staying out of it, but
- 28:00Speaker 2: no such luck.
- 28:00Speaker 3: We know our friend Sabrina who always has a cure
- 28:03Speaker 3: for what ails us.
- 28:04Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, she does.
- 28:05Speaker 3: She emailed in that you need to take Silvadeen. It's
- 28:08Speaker 3: a prescription topical antibiotic cream.
- 28:11Speaker 1: Silvadean. Didn't she use to work here?
- 28:13Speaker 3: Yeah, she was in. She was in sales. She was
- 28:16Speaker 3: a sales assistant. Silviad I'll have to try some of that.
- 28:21Speaker 3: Did you guys see that summer this year is going
- 28:23Speaker 3: to be seven days longer than it was last year?
- 28:26Speaker 3: What Yees says Meteorodgically speaking, summer doesn't start until June.
- 28:31Speaker 1: First. Memorial Day is kind of the final Monday of
- 28:34Speaker 1: the mage here and that kind of summer. Well, Labor
- 28:36Speaker 1: Day doesn't arrive this year until September seven.
- 28:39Speaker 3: So we've got this the unofficial starts and ending of
- 28:41Speaker 3: summer June to Memorial Day to Labor Day. It's an
- 28:46Speaker 3: early Memorial Day in a late labor day.
- 28:48Speaker 4: Labor Day seventh.
- 28:51Speaker 2: Yeah, it's the last last the latest Labor day can be.
