- 1:28at international flavor calm live at damn radio
- 1:32.com is also a good place To send
- 1:35them you can send them to Samuel T
- 1:39at civic outlaws calm our new charity that
- 1:42we are going to attack government That is
- 1:45what we do We go after government overreach
- 1:48primarily and we have several cool projects coming
- 1:51up on that in that regard this year
- 1:54quite a bit of Topics to cover this
- 2:00morning and I wish to get to what
- 2:02I was talking about yesterday yesterday.
- 2:04I walked you through the overturning of the
- 2:08Chevron doctrine by a case called Loper bright
- 2:11and what that means and Then I told
- 2:15you about how Missouri codified that same concept
- 2:20into state law in a little bit more
- 2:22powerful fashion than then the court overturning the
- 2:29decision so and I thought it might be
- 2:32interesting to walk you through how The court
- 2:39system really works when they interpret law so
- 2:41the the decision the Chevron decision that said
- 2:49that courts Should defer to the Interpretation
- 2:58of a statute interpreted by the executive branch,
- 3:03which means an agency Had been around for
- 3:06a very long time And I think it
- 3:09was wrong from the jump because Interpreting the
- 3:13law is the judiciary's responsibility Interpretation what somebody
- 3:20meant and when they go to what somebody
- 3:23meant they usually go to because who creates
- 3:26these laws The laws are created by the
- 3:29legislature signed by the governor the governor doesn't
- 3:31have to sign them if he disagrees with
- 3:33them or the President doesn't have to sign
- 3:36a federal law if he disagrees with it.
- 3:39He doesn't have to He can also push
- 3:42and encourage the legislative branch to change law
- 3:45The interpretation is always and has and will
- 3:48always be the realm of the judiciary how
- 3:51it gets interpreted So when I first discovered
- 3:54the Chevron doctrine that these interpretations were done
- 3:57for me.
- 3:57I was always going well That's kind of
- 3:59stupid.
- 3:59Why are we gonna let some paid bureaucrat?
- 4:02Or unpaid or whatever there's somebody and the
- 4:06sad part is that interpretations being done by
- 4:13the agency really ignores the statutory intent completely
- 4:19or What and the the judiciary starts from
- 4:22a point of view of looking at a
- 4:24law and saying well?
- 4:25This is what it says Here's what it
- 4:27says if you want to find out what
- 4:29they meant you go back to arguments on
- 4:32the House floor you go back to And
- 4:35I know this is simplistic, but but I
- 4:38don't think that people understand it well enough
- 4:40there They weren't listening in 10th grade civics.
- 4:43You know they just weren't and Or it's
- 4:46important to you now Grabbed it wasn't important
- 4:49to me years ago.
- 4:51That is suddenly important to me now and
- 4:53So interpretations of the law shouldn't be done
- 4:58by some paid bureaucrat and no freakin way
- 5:01and maybe if and and I Know this
- 5:06is stupid too, and maybe it's too pie
- 5:09in the sky But you would presume that
- 5:12the president or a governor having been elected
- 5:16by a majority of the people That person
- 5:19this is really gonna sound fishy coming from
- 5:22me, but that person almost has the right
- 5:29to Interpret, and do you see what I
- 5:32mean, and you probably don't see what I
- 5:34mean, so I better explain myself the the
- 5:37If I'm appointed if I have been elected
- 5:40by the people The people have at least
- 5:43given me some direct authority they voted they
- 5:47put their hand up and said I want
- 5:49that guy or at least a majority did
- 5:52and So you know the elections have consequences
- 5:56as Barack Obama said Elections have consequences.
- 6:01Well.
- 6:01That's one of them the interpretation comes from
- 6:04the guy that you voted for which is
- 6:07why you see the stupid very stupid first
- 6:12-day actions of all these presidents that come
- 6:17in and just Change everything having been done
- 6:22by the guy before us, and why our
- 6:23country is such a freaking mess anyway Because
- 6:28they just come in and write 500 new
- 6:30executive orders changing everything that everybody's been doing
- 6:34for the last three four years now I
- 6:36I don't And again, I'm gonna get beat
- 6:41up for saying something like this But in
- 6:42countries like Russia in countries like China and
- 6:45countries where they have presidents that stay for
- 6:49longer Whether that's what do you call it?
- 6:54intentionally designed or Whether it's by election or
- 6:59will of the people that you might think
- 7:02or suppose that it is Slanted because they
- 7:05are staying there those sorts of systems at
- 7:08least have some continuity And I've always thought
- 7:12okay the worst thing that you could do
- 7:13I hired a lot of people in my
- 7:15life I hired a lot of people in
- 7:17a lot of high-level positions in my
- 7:19life in When I was a younger man
- 7:23after my army service as an HR director
- 7:25for some some fortune 500 companies And you
- 7:28hire people and one of the things that
- 7:30always was a key for me when I
- 7:33was hiring Someone would be to ask them
- 7:35the question well.
- 7:37What would be your first?
- 7:38Your first Three months what would it what
- 7:44would your first three months?
- 7:47look like what would your first year and
- 7:49a half look like you want to see
- 7:51if they've done any research and But it's
- 7:55a it's it's not a trick question But
- 7:56it's but it's a telling question if somebody
- 7:59comes in and said well I was so
- 8:01good at my job it that this other
- 8:03plant That's the same as this plant, or
- 8:05it makes the same thing as this plant
- 8:07I believe I can add to the mix,
- 8:09and I would come in and I would
- 8:10I would Mirror what I had done at
- 8:14the other Facility you know that I was
- 8:17just very successful at and I'd come in
- 8:20and I change everything You know I would
- 8:23make it mirror what I did here because
- 8:25it worked before Okay, that's a positive and
- 8:28a negative right the negative is because what
- 8:31if they're already working fairly well and We
- 8:36would like your expertise But we don't want
- 8:38you to come in and just immediately change
- 8:40everything because it's it's bad on people It's
- 8:44bad on the organization, and it's bad.
- 8:48It's frankly stupid Because you should at least
- 8:52watch what is going on and now Arguably
- 8:56running a country is a hell of a
- 8:58lot different than running a plant somewhere, and
- 9:01that is true But the changes are dramatic
- 9:04they are drastic they are You don't have
- 9:08any cooperation from the other side and what
- 9:12it does is it Continues the horror story
- 9:16that is America in a lot of respects
- 9:19America's great place It's a beautiful thing but
- 9:22you sometimes need to tweak a few things
- 9:24and these immediate changes is and this lack
- 9:28of Continuity and this change of everything is
- 9:33this stuff that you know leaves the world
- 9:36in chaos You know Donald Trump.
- 9:39He's gonna run for three years.
- 9:40He's been a Pretty Volatile president he's a
- 9:46volatile person that is him and there's nothing
- 9:49wrong with that.
- 9:50You know I respect that I like a
- 9:52lot of the stuff that he did most
- 9:53of the stuff that he did, but I
- 9:57Disagree Fundamentally with coming in and changing stuff
- 10:01the way that he's done Perhaps it would
- 10:04be better to and and yeah, they use
- 10:06polls.
- 10:07Yeah, they use all this and Arguably, okay,
- 10:10that's how they do it, but I hate
- 10:12the result Because the result is the rest
- 10:15of the world looks at us as unstable
- 10:17When's the last time you heard of another
- 10:19country where that's even a democratic country coming
- 10:22in and changing everything?
- 10:25Changing everything just swap it around you know
- 10:28here you go lost.
- 10:30What was it the the what was that
- 10:33pipeline that was gonna run from Canada to
- 10:36Mexico that I Forget what it's called.
- 10:40I don't know why I'm an idiot, but
- 10:42I can't remember it and On day one
- 10:45of the Biden presidency he came in and
- 10:47just canceled Gone 10 billion bucks up in
- 10:50smoke gone Project never never recovered who's gonna
- 10:54come back in you can't finish it during
- 10:56somebody's tenure the political decision destroys whether or
- 11:01not gas Or or frack fracked oil flows
- 11:07from North and South Dakota and Canada Southern
- 11:10Canada down toward Mexico or toward Texas or
- 11:14toward the Gulf of Mexico or wherever it
- 11:17just gone And for what I?
- 11:20Mean seriously for what it's okay.
- 11:22It's for environmentalists.
- 11:24It's for some you know.
- 11:25I don't know kiki bird You know who
- 11:26knows I don't care It doesn't matter what
- 11:29it was for the fact is somebody lost
- 11:3210 billion on that Americans lost the ability
- 11:34to to Benefit from gas flowing south where
- 11:41it needs to be fuel gas moving to
- 11:44the ports and Redistribution occurring as it should
- 11:46have occurred companies lost money people lost jobs
- 11:51politically stupid in my opinion And that's just
- 11:56one example you'd come up with all kinds
- 11:58of them and that never recovered and and
- 12:01then you get the more politicizes politicization of
- 12:05these things and people get to Say it's
- 12:08top of the see if their Elections have
- 12:11consequences yeah, they sure do and our country
- 12:15is somewhat is considered somewhat less than because
- 12:18of that and So that that's a one
- 12:22man's opinion, okay?
- 12:24Remember, I don't care what you think it
- 12:26doesn't bother me at all and you like
- 12:29you listening to me I hope I can
- 12:31convince you to the that some of the
- 12:33things that I say are correct But I
- 12:35think that's just downright foolish Just nuts you
- 12:39go in change everything Why cuz elections have
- 12:43consequences my friends?
- 12:45Oh, yeah, they sure do Those consequences always
- 12:49seem to screw me It's like what the
- 12:53hell have you done to benefit me ever
- 12:55all you're doing is going and create okay
- 12:57Who lost did I lose 10 billion dollars
- 13:00because they stopped the whatever the name God?
- 13:03I wish I remembered the pipeline name, but
- 13:05I don't and Did I lose anything from
- 13:08that No, did I gain anything from having
- 13:12it?
- 13:13Maybe ultimately our country's in debt up to
- 13:16its doodads You can decide for yourself what
- 13:21the doodads are but you know I had
- 13:23to give my left one for One reason
- 13:26in the right one for another But the
- 13:28doodads you know are are flooded by debt
- 13:32in the United States And we don't do
- 13:34anything about it Now there's some positive movement.
- 13:39You know we're instead of 32-trillion maybe
- 13:42we're at 31 trillion and the interest on
- 13:46it is more than our GDP every year
- 13:48which is frightening and there are things like
- 13:52that, but You know perhaps there's some positive
- 13:56movement with some of the things that are
- 13:58occurring, but we spend spend spend Diplomatic You
- 14:04know not diplomatic political I meant political spending
- 14:09Because that is what they do.
- 14:12That's how it works at any rate I
- 14:16was gonna talk some more about how the
- 14:18agency decisions, and how they how they impact
- 14:23us because of the Chevron doctrine and I
- 14:27am gonna share with you the sunshine letter
- 14:30from the Alcohol Tobacco Control, which you can't
- 14:35help but laugh at because it's just so
- 14:40stupid and so outlandish and ridiculous and You
- 14:45know we're gonna.
- 14:46You know come after them I don't know
- 14:49if and but I did want to cover
- 14:52a couple of news things first and there
- 14:55were a dozen Dozens dozens dozens killed and
- 15:00100 injured in a fire at a Swiss
- 15:02ski resort now the Russian Newspapers are calling
- 15:06it an explosion and you know Nobody knows
- 15:10or there hasn't been a report about what
- 15:12it is But a fire tore through the
- 15:14resort bar after midnight and the victims are
- 15:17from quite a few Countries and the area
- 15:20is sealed off.
- 15:21They have a no-fly zone And I'm
- 15:24following it because you know we want to
- 15:26figure out what this is especially in Switzerland
- 15:29Switzerland is beautiful Been there several times in
- 15:32life, and if you haven't been you need
- 15:35to go.
- 15:35It's a beautiful country and The story is
- 15:41dozens of people were killed 100 injured most
- 15:44of them Seriously after a fire tore through
- 15:47a crowded bar during a New Year's Eve
- 15:49party at a ski resort called Kranz, Montana
- 15:54Fire broke out at 1 30 a.m..
- 15:57Now What and I don't know if this
- 16:00is an important tip, but here in America
- 16:01We don't allow people to party when they
- 16:04feel like partying we shut them down we
- 16:08We you're not smart enough to figure out
- 16:11You know that you shouldn't drive drunk or
- 16:13whatever the reason is we shut down the
- 16:17world between Though I know why secondary effects.
- 16:21We don't want we don't want people to
- 16:23hang out you know and At two o
- 16:26'clock in the morning what human would hang
- 16:28out at two o'clock in the morning
- 16:29in?
- 16:30Europe is totally different in Europe the freaking
- 16:34bars don't even really open till 11 and
- 16:37They will go all night long they close
- 16:41when I was in Belarus here back in
- 16:45September in Belarus got up early went to
- 16:53Breakfast had an early bus going somewhere for
- 16:58a historic tour somewhere, I think it was
- 17:00breast and And Went downtown a really beautiful
- 17:05areas down there, and there was a couple
- 17:06of breakfast places I wanted to experience and
- 17:10went to one of them was really cool
- 17:11breakfast spot and While walking there from the
- 17:15subway stop or bus stop.
- 17:17I don't remember however we got there But
- 17:19we got there by train by bus.
- 17:21I can't remember and went downtown and we're
- 17:24walking from the stop to the downtown part
- 17:29and All these younger kids were just coming
- 17:33out of bars some of them were still
- 17:34standing on the streets with the beer mugs
- 17:38Drinkin finishing up the last of the party
- 17:41the Sun's up at 7 a.m..
- 17:43And that's typical in Europe You know in
- 17:45party places you know or in bars and
- 17:48stuff like that You know if you go
- 17:49to the bar before 11 you're the you're
- 17:51the good why am I telling that story
- 17:53the story has nothing?
- 17:54There, but but at 1 30 a.m.
- 17:56That place would have been packed even though
- 17:59even not on New Year's, so I imagine
- 18:02on New Year's It was packed even more
- 18:04so the cause of the blaze was reported
- 18:07as an explosion They say it remains unclear,
- 18:10but it says Authorities say it appeared to
- 18:14be an accident instead of attack Two French
- 18:18women said they were in the bar said
- 18:20that they saw fire start in the basement
- 18:22of the club After a bottle that was
- 18:25contained birthday candles was held too close to
- 18:28a wooden ceiling So that's what some people
- 18:32say the fire spread across the ceiling super
- 18:34quickly one of the women said who identified
- 18:38themselves to two women Emma and Albane the
- 18:43pair said that they were able to climb
- 18:45a narrow staircase to the ground floor as
- 18:48Panic broke out, and they escaped the building
- 18:51minutes later the fire reached the ground floor,
- 18:53too Wasn't immediately possible to verify you know
- 18:57anything video footage Showed fire spreading from the
- 19:01building with people outside the club running and
- 19:04screaming Italy's ambassador John Lorenzo Coronado told Sky
- 19:10TG 24 Local authorities told him the blaze
- 19:15was started by someone letting off a firework
- 19:18in the bar which set fire to the
- 19:20ceiling He was in Kranz Montana where he
- 19:24said a number of Italians had gathered seeking
- 19:26information about relatives and friends He declined to
- 19:30say if there were any Italian victims Thursday
- 19:33morning footage from the street outside showed the
- 19:36area cordoned off with forensic tents blah blah
- 19:39blah first responders and firefighters and Arrived at
- 19:42the chaos scene Dramatic scene in a complicated
- 19:47operation theater Victims were from other countries hundreds
- 19:52of personnel working on the case But officials
- 19:55said the grim task of identifying badly burned
- 19:59bodies would take a long time I cannot
- 20:02hide from you that we are all shaken
- 20:05by what happened overnight in Krenz Krenz Montana
- 20:08the Kenton head of police said our count
- 20:11is about 100 injured most of them seriously
- 20:14and Unfortunately tens of people are presumed dead.
- 20:19He said adding that patients dispatched to hospitals
- 20:23in Sion Lausanne Geneva and Zurich Zurich The
- 20:31Italian Foreign Ministry said information from Swiss Swiss
- 20:34police indicates 40 deaths but nobody has given
- 20:37a an exact figure so that is sad
- 20:43news on New Year's Day and Unfortunate that
- 20:49People are dead in that and the death
- 20:52toll is continuing to climb and They still
- 20:59say there has been an explosion of unknown
- 21:01origin inside the place and nobody knows what
- 21:04it is There's some eyewitness footage and stuff
- 21:07like that the other news which has you
- 21:10know Also, not happy for New Year's But
- 21:13Beijing is the military and China's holding large
- 21:17-scale drills and given a warning you know
- 21:20outside of Taiwan and President Xi Jinping says
- 21:25that Taiwan reunification is unstoppable And Xi Jinping
- 21:35repeatedly has stated that The reunification with Taiwan
- 21:40is inevitable.
- 21:42He said in his address to the nation
- 21:45on New Year's Eve He said that they
- 21:47have an unbreakable Bond of blood and kinship
- 21:50and China or I'm sorry Taiwan has been
- 21:53ruled by Chinese nationalists Ever since they retreated
- 21:59to the island after the defeat in the
- 22:01Civil War of 1949 and Beijing considers the
- 22:05island part of its sovereign territory under the
- 22:08one China policy Chinese on both sides of
- 22:11the Taiwan Strait have a bond of blood
- 22:13and kinship the reunification of the motherland a
- 22:17trend of the times is Unstoppable he said
- 22:21on Wednesday He also noted that Beijing would
- 22:24support Hong Kong and Macau and better Integrating
- 22:27into the overall development of the country and
- 22:31maintaining long-term prosperity and stability Beijing repeatedly
- 22:36emphasizes preference for peaceful Reunification but has not
- 22:40ruled out the use of force should the
- 22:42island's separatist forces seek formal independence People's Liberation
- 22:48Army conducted two days of military drills drills
- 22:52commenced 11 days after Washington announced 11.1
- 22:56billion dollars in arms sales to Taiwan the
- 23:00largest ever for the island both China and
- 23:04Taiwan maintain a one-China policy and Claimed
- 23:08to be the rightful rulers of China however,
- 23:11only a handful of countries maintain official Diplomatic
- 23:16relations with Taipei while most endorsed Beijing since
- 23:20October 71 the UN has recognized the People's
- 23:25Republic of China as the only legitimate representative
- 23:29of China to the United Nations That's what
- 23:34it is and the US government stated in
- 23:3679 that it represent, you know, we recognize
- 23:41The People's Republic of China as the only
- 23:47The PRC is the sole legal government of
- 23:50China So we recommend what it is and
- 23:54it continues to maintain close ties with Taipei
- 23:58and repeatedly, you know, this story is a
- 24:00big story and Sergei Lavrov from the Russian
- 24:04side in a recent interview he said that
- 24:06mutual support of in defending national unity and
- 24:09territorial integrity is part of What they're doing
- 24:12Lavrov said Taiwan is being used as a
- 24:15tool By the US, of course as a
- 24:18military strategic deterrent against Beijing, which some countries
- 24:22You know looting Taiwan Because they get what
- 24:31they want from Taiwan, I don't know I
- 24:34don't really take a position in that in
- 24:35the China thing, but I think That it
- 24:38really is Inevitable at some point that Taiwan
- 24:42will be part of China a little coffee
- 24:47there for me So I didn't stay up
- 24:49very late.
- 24:50I don't I didn't even watch the ball
- 24:51drop.
- 24:52I was a lazy lazy, dude Anyway, that's
- 24:55the important news I want to get back
- 24:57to the topic that I was having fun
- 24:59with and Share with you some idiocy of
- 25:04the alcohol and tobacco control folks so I
- 25:09have a friend and Many years ago we
- 25:14were in business together and that ended in
- 25:18about 2011, but we were partners in a
- 25:23business with an it with a third person
- 25:25and When we split, you know He asked
- 25:31me He said he had another project and
- 25:35we wanted to work together on that project
- 25:37See if see if I would he was
- 25:39making an effort to to purchase GQ gentleman's
- 25:46quarters, which is here in Lake Ozark well
- 25:50-established business been there more than 40 years.
- 25:53It's a good spot, right and I remember
- 25:58that before him I Hate I don't want
- 26:02to be offensive to anybody, but I've been
- 26:04in those places before I'm not a I'm
- 26:06not a I don't know What die hard,
- 26:09but I've been there I've been there before
- 26:12and I've been in some crappy ones I've
- 26:14been in some good ones when I lived
- 26:16in Dallas was working as an HR director
- 26:19in Dallas I worked for a German company
- 26:21and when I was first there as the
- 26:23HR director for two plants in Dallas Our
- 26:28German overlords German owners Cave and they and
- 26:33they were it was a huge company worldwide
- 26:36There's some 40,000 people and in the
- 26:39u.s There were at least 10,000
- 26:41including the plants that I worked at and
- 26:43I was the HR director in these two
- 26:45plants I don't know five six hundred people
- 26:48nothing huge But you know, they were good
- 26:50sized plants and I was the HR director
- 26:52Well, I'm there and there was a girl
- 26:55that worked in the front of black a
- 26:56black lady that wore She liked to wear
- 26:59those African gowns and robes and headdresses and
- 27:02stuff And I remember her name and I
- 27:04remember her her name was Lunell and she
- 27:06was funny and nice and we got along
- 27:08well, and she was at the front desk
- 27:10and had been for years and at any
- 27:13rate I Knew her of course became Decent
- 27:18friends with her and when these Germans came
- 27:20and they came over once a quarter and
- 27:23they would come to Dallas the headquarters was
- 27:24in was in North Carolina and But they
- 27:30would fly over and we would you know
- 27:33But I don't understand why we always met
- 27:35in Dallas and didn't meet in, North Carolina
- 27:38It's a mate didn't me.
- 27:39It's like oh, they're coming to Dallas cool
- 27:41And if I found out why actually pretty
- 27:43quickly, but one of the funny parts was
- 27:46that everybody's a man you know, they're they're
- 27:48all pretty pretty a Powerful people and the
- 27:51rich people, you know, and they're directing us
- 27:54in that anyway, this is Sam story crazy,
- 27:56but they Flew in came to we had
- 28:00a brief meeting in the morning, you know
- 28:02at the plants they took a tour of
- 28:04the plants, but we're basically done by noon
- 28:06and they want to go have a lunch
- 28:07and it was scheduled for lunch and to
- 28:10go I and and you know, I had
- 28:12never been through this and Comically It's set
- 28:18for going to buffet.
- 28:20We're going to buffet and it's a buffet
- 28:22and Dallas has good food Dallas has everything
- 28:24like that and So buffet When I'm getting
- 28:30ready to go it's my first visit in
- 28:32Lunel the Receptionist out front the the headdress
- 28:36lady.
- 28:36She she go she goes Sam Mr. Trap
- 28:41I was like what she said you're not
- 28:43going to buffet and I said why not?
- 28:46And she goes are you going to buffet?
- 28:48I said well, I was planning to I
- 28:50said, what are you?
- 28:50What are you telling me?
- 28:51Ah And she was just disgusted Alright Gonna
- 28:57go.
- 28:58Well, I found out why Dallas is well
- 29:00Well well known for having some of the
- 29:03best strip clubs on the planet and you
- 29:06go there and it's five-star food I
- 29:08mean it is a it is laid out.
- 29:11It is decked out beautiful women and Fantastic
- 29:16food and they have these five-star chefs
- 29:19cooking up stuff.
- 29:20Well, I didn't know this and I found
- 29:21out what the What the scoop was going
- 29:24to these strip clubs.
- 29:25So once a quarter I never told my
- 29:27ex-wife this because it just wasn't worth
- 29:29the the horror story of it all but
- 29:32once a quarter I started going to Buffet
- 29:37yeah for the food, right and anyway, that's
- 29:40a stupid story and but it was fun.
- 29:42Anyway, and if you are looking at the
- 29:47food part and the but those are How
- 29:51do I want to put it?
- 29:52You don't have the vision of a Dallas
- 29:55strip club as a Yeah, shit hole pardon
- 30:00my French that you go into some place
- 30:03where you got Prostitutes and you got drugs
- 30:05and you got stuff like that.
- 30:06That is what people fear.
- 30:08That is what people don't want I don't
- 30:11want that, you know, but there's a you
- 30:15know, I don't How would you say it
- 30:19that I don't say diplomatically I don't have
- 30:22a moral a moral objection to people Doing
- 30:26what they would like to do.
- 30:28I don't have that objection if you know
- 30:30me well enough by now, you know that
- 30:33I Oh, you know what?
- 30:36Grigori Rasputin was killed on this day in
- 30:401916 Rasputin was the guy who alleged was
- 30:43sleeping with the czar's wife.
- 30:45That was that was a 1916 109 years
- 30:49ago today Rasputin was dead.
- 30:52Maybe we should play some Rah rah Rasputin
- 30:55lover of the Russian Queen.
- 30:57I'll find that for you and we'll play
- 30:59it Rasputin knows those guys are famous.
- 31:03Anyway to get back to the story of
- 31:05the day.
- 31:06The story of the day is this when
- 31:11Strip club is not as a in Europe.
- 31:15They have fantastic places like that and it's
- 31:18not a A whole of drugs and prostitution
- 31:23It is an entertainment venue Europe has far
- 31:27different morals than we do one of the
- 31:30things that often alarms Americans because we're considered
- 31:35to be somewhat prudish and puritanical and we're
- 31:39you know Some of us are some of
- 31:41us aren't I don't object to that either
- 31:44I don't object to someone saying that's absolutely
- 31:46wrong and you're encouraging those girls to do
- 31:49something Well, what are they doing on TV?
- 31:52What did Lady Gaga do wearing the meat
- 31:55suit or whatever people are gonna do what
- 31:57they're gonna do Anyway, and as long as
- 32:00they're not harming anybody else Fine in my
- 32:04view now, maybe I'm wrong.
- 32:06Maybe we should regulate everybody.
- 32:08I disagree with that concept if people wish
- 32:11to Display the beauty of their bodies by
- 32:14dancing men do it too.
- 32:16I mean, it's much more rare but women
- 32:19are doing it all the time women been
- 32:20doing it for a million years and I
- 32:23don't mean this badly the oldest profession is
- 32:27what you know and talk about that as
- 32:29a job now I'm not for that by
- 32:31the way, you know Although there's some arguments
- 32:35to be made about that too, but I
- 32:37you know, I draw the line at that
- 32:39But if you want to have a strip
- 32:40club and you want to see some stuff
- 32:42anyway, very long story made short I try
- 32:45to tell you why I believe the way
- 32:47that I do Okay, and I believe freedom
- 32:50means freedom if you choose to do that
- 32:55fine I don't want you to do it
- 32:57walking down the street, but perhaps there could
- 32:59and should be a place for you to
- 33:01do your Displaying of your body some people
- 33:04call it art They have art display studios
- 33:06where women can sit around naked and you
- 33:09can draw a picture of them or paint
- 33:11them or whatever those are allowed their regulations
- 33:14related to those too, by the way, but
- 33:16there's it's It's okay to regulate them, right?
- 33:21And that's what?
- 33:23Missouri is attempting to do but they've done
- 33:25it incorrectly.
- 33:26They've done it wrong and so and I'm
- 33:30gonna get to that story about why in
- 33:33about 2010 11 when me and this guy
- 33:36lost our partnership or closed the prior business
- 33:40We shut it down.
- 33:42He asked if I wanted to Go into
- 33:47business with him in this place which happened
- 33:49to be Club GQ on the strip and
- 33:53I said no Perhaps that's a regret in
- 33:57my life And I remember at the time
- 34:00practicing lawn here and going yeah, that's all
- 34:02I need is a strip club, you know,
- 34:04that's You know, I'm not against them and
- 34:07but I'm not sure I want to own
- 34:08one and I said no part of me
- 34:11wishes I hadn't Because what he's done in
- 34:15that place and whether you go there whether
- 34:17you like it whether you dislike it is
- 34:19And I had only been in there once
- 34:22or twice twice before that He's Changed it
- 34:29it is it is a decent place Is
- 34:33it the level of the Dallas ones with
- 34:34five-star food and a million dollars a
- 34:38month going through it?
- 34:40No But it's a it's a it's a
- 34:42decent respectable respected place, you know There's not
- 34:47you know there isn't any of these things
- 34:49that the state worries about when they're trying
- 34:53to regulate if you drive over to East
- 34:56st.
- 34:57Louis in Illinois go to some of those
- 34:59shit shows that is what we're trying to
- 35:02prevent by regulation and that should be somewhere
- 35:06in the middle of that a spectrum of
- 35:09regulating these type of businesses somewhere in that
- 35:12spectrum is Is where I'm comfortable.
- 35:16I'm not comfortable with places like East st
- 35:19Louis's I'm very comfortable with places like that
- 35:23that are in Dallas and are very well
- 35:25done and millions of dollars put in and
- 35:28I'm quite comfortable with club GQ being run
- 35:31the way it is with beautiful girls and
- 35:35beautiful well run non Prostitutional environment and I
- 35:41don't know how it was run for 40
- 35:43years, but I know that since 2010 2011
- 35:46it's been run very well, okay And there's
- 35:50no fear that somebody is prostituting women out
- 35:53of there But the state the count of
- 35:55the shit the city doesn't bitch about it
- 35:59Everybody, you know, there's good Recommendations from the
- 36:03people like that.
- 36:04Maybe they don't say it publicly, but they've
- 36:06you know, cuz they don't want people to
- 36:08say Oh, geez, you're after strip clubs or
- 36:10people want them done the regulations say you
- 36:12can't have one within thousand feet of the
- 36:14school or whatever whatever those sorts of regulations
- 36:17are you can they Building a new one
- 36:20is Difficult anywhere, but those that have been
- 36:24around for a long time.
- 36:25Nobody touches.
- 36:26Okay, so fast forward 2010 the state of
- 36:34Missouri implemented chapter in 573 revised statutes of
- 36:41Missouri put in this statute and in it
- 36:45they put Language regarding sexually oriented Businesses now
- 36:53prior to that a sexually oriented business was
- 36:57a place where you know You'd go watch
- 36:59rated-x movies and highly regulated and they
- 37:02were you know Not as regulated as well
- 37:06as they should have been and you know
- 37:08Those types of places are just nasty if
- 37:10you need to go into a place to
- 37:13watch an x-rated movie, you know You
- 37:19You're you're getting what you're paying for.
- 37:21I think it's nonsense.
- 37:22It's ridiculous Why why but there are people
- 37:25that like it, you know, if they want
- 37:26to do it, you want to regulate it
- 37:28Anyway, the the legislature in there in their
- 37:30wisdom put together these laws But they cocked
- 37:33it up like legislatures often do and how
- 37:37they cocked it up was they didn't put
- 37:39any enforcement mechanism in there 573 is a
- 37:44criminal statute.
- 37:46Okay makes it a crime to do something
- 37:50to have a Business that's drinking beer now
- 37:57there was language in there that was that
- 37:59confused the issue Because it talked about those
- 38:03that are already built don't have to you
- 38:05know, don't have to comply and blah blah
- 38:07blah they would they did a crappy job
- 38:09of the Statutory enabling Statute of that gives
- 38:15somebody the power to regulate them the power
- 38:17to power of these and 573 is given
- 38:21to law enforcement a local matter Law enforcement
- 38:28so if law enforcement found something crappy in
- 38:30there They could you know come in and
- 38:32arrest somebody right for doing something They could
- 38:35charge someone with a crime you would get
- 38:38some sort of due process You would get
- 38:41all of the things that that you are
- 38:43entitled to when you get arrested Okay, you
- 38:46get a jury of your peers.
- 38:48You get a right to confront witnesses You
- 38:51get a right to do all of these
- 38:53things, right?
- 38:55and If you had a place in a
- 38:58shitty place like East st Louis you might
- 39:01have the cops in there every day trying
- 39:03to find somebody engaging in this You know
- 39:05selling a girl or prostitution or soliciting prostitution
- 39:09or something like that if you're in a
- 39:11place in Dallas good luck, you know the
- 39:13most of the people that run the the
- 39:16the most of the cops are in there,
- 39:18you know most of cops cops Councilman everybody
- 39:23they visit those sorts of places and let's
- 39:25not make any bones about that fact And
- 39:28they don't want to go to East st.
- 39:29Louis.
- 39:30They want to go to you know a
- 39:32well-respected place like that GQ is More
- 39:35toward the side of those in Dallas.
- 39:37You know if he had a you know
- 39:39if I had a million dollars I'd put
- 39:40a place like that up.
- 39:42Why not and And you know it serves
- 39:45a purpose to a lot of people and
- 39:48it makes good money.
- 39:49It's a valuable business It's a valuable tax
- 39:52revenue source for the bid further for the
- 39:54county Maybe you have puritanical views and you're
- 39:58against them.
- 39:59Well fine.
- 39:59Don't go in Maybe there should be advertising
- 40:02outside or lacks of their advertising or regulation
- 40:06on the advertising to you know help you
- 40:09deal with your You know sensitive Whatever your
- 40:15sensitivity so we don't want them to You
- 40:18don't want you to be offended because some
- 40:20women especially the younger ones who like to
- 40:23make a large amount of money It's a
- 40:26it's a you know there are single moms
- 40:28that do that stuff.
- 40:29Do you hate it for them?
- 40:31They can make a very good living What
- 40:33if they got screwed over by a dad
- 40:35and the dad doesn't pay child support doesn't
- 40:37do it and the girl is is very
- 40:39very Attractive and she chooses that option to
- 40:42make some money.
- 40:42What about the girls in Dallas who you
- 40:45know?
- 40:45I talked to several of them when I
- 40:47was a young man down there and asked
- 40:49him why they did it You know I
- 40:50didn't I don't judge I just was curious
- 40:52and they say they make enough money in
- 40:55there to pay for four years of college
- 40:57It's a good career.
- 40:58Why not do it I?
- 41:02Know arguably you can make those same arguments
- 41:05about prostitution.
- 41:06I draw the line there.
- 41:07You know I don't I don't really it's
- 41:10gonna happen anyway, but but So let's stay
- 41:14out of that you know nobody wants to
- 41:16Engage you know but these places with the
- 41:18places that are clean that are that are
- 41:20decent that have a good atmosphere That it's
- 41:23a safe place and people can go and
- 41:25see what they want to see and do
- 41:27what they want to do and have a
- 41:28Few drinks doing it fine.
- 41:30Who are we to judge them?
- 41:32Who am I to judge them?
- 41:33I'm nobody and who is Anybody else in
- 41:37as a bureaucrat to judge these types of
- 41:40things okay, but that's exactly what's happened, so
- 41:44Missouri puts in a law in chapter 573
- 41:47criminal code That says a sexually oriented business
- 41:52of blah blah blah in a sexually oriented
- 41:54business You can't do this blah blah blah
- 41:56so a lot of businesses that type of
- 41:59businesses filed a an action which went all
- 42:02the way Supreme Court of State of Missouri
- 42:04then Remember what the Supreme Court does they
- 42:08interpret statutes and they interpret the law?
- 42:11Written by the legislature signed by the governor,
- 42:15okay?
- 42:15I know I keep coming back to that
- 42:17but these are basic things that everybody needs
- 42:19to understand and And I think that a
- 42:22lot of bureaucrats even do not understand this
- 42:26concept all they understand is their own power,
- 42:29okay?
- 42:30And so here's here's the story as it
- 42:33goes today, and I'm taking a long time
- 42:35to do this But just follow me every
- 42:36day We will get through this story because
- 42:39I'm gonna talk about it a lot And
- 42:41I'm and I and I'm gonna tell you
- 42:43why I think the way I think and
- 42:45you don't have to agree with me I
- 42:47don't care if you want to call and
- 42:49argue with me about it Please do but
- 42:51the fact is this is how the system
- 42:54is supposed to work We don't get to
- 42:56judge the girl Dancing on a stage and
- 42:59getting thrown $20 bills by by men who
- 43:02appreciate their semi nude body You know nude
- 43:06dancing is not it is a well.
- 43:09It's a totally different thing, and that's not
- 43:10we're talking about I don't like that Frankly
- 43:13I would prefer to see attractive woman Semi
- 43:19nude state I don't really need to see
- 43:21I sure as hell don't want to see
- 43:22a naked man walking around you know somebody
- 43:24said there was a post I read on
- 43:27something about They call them this is rude
- 43:31But they call them dick pics so girls
- 43:33are in the dating scene and immediately guys
- 43:35are sending pictures of their Johnson and God
- 43:39here's my my meat and two veg and
- 43:42Here this is it you know Why why
- 43:46are we?
- 43:49Around I don't by the way, but I
- 43:51don't understand people that do I don't understand
- 43:53girls that send me naked although I'm far
- 43:55more receptive to that kind of thing you
- 43:58know it doesn't happen very often hell It
- 44:00doesn't happen at all, but it's a I'm
- 44:02not that Need to see the real.
- 44:06Do you know I don't need to see
- 44:08the The some things should remain private, let's
- 44:12put it that way, but that's me other
- 44:14people feel differently, and they're into that stuff
- 44:17I don't care more power to you.
- 44:20Just please don't include me right But I'm
- 44:23that way about most things Was a Jr.
- 44:27I think who said that I'm a much
- 44:29more of a libertarian if it as long
- 44:31as it doesn't bother me I Don't give
- 44:33a crap do it.
- 44:35You know as long as it's not impacting
- 44:38children that aren't allowed to Aren't allowed to
- 44:43don't have the capacity to do what I'm
- 44:46doing which is weigh consequences weigh what I
- 44:48want and don't want Freedom is freedom right
- 44:53if I just because I don't like it
- 44:56doesn't mean you shouldn't allow somebody else That's
- 44:58where I kind of draw the line, and
- 45:00that's who I am and so When you
- 45:03look at these strip clubs, and what they're
- 45:05doing when you get a religious.
- 45:07You know Right winger left winger whatever there's
- 45:11religious people on all from all walks of
- 45:14diplomatic stripe right and the Why did I
- 45:19say diplomatic political stripe political bent there's just
- 45:22a lot of a lot of Different people
- 45:26out there that have different views And you
- 45:27know that's part of the beauty of America
- 45:29is that people are people and why should
- 45:32it be that you and I should get?
- 45:33along so awfully stealing some depeche mode there,
- 45:36but it's Tell you what I don't like
- 45:42judging other people, and I don't like you
- 45:43and other people judge other people incorrectly so
- 45:45fast-forward once again Salmon is long stories
- 45:49Fast-forward once again to the current state
- 45:52of affairs so the Supreme Court upheld that
- 45:56statute the criminal statute when all of these
- 46:01not all of these but a group of
- 46:03strip clubs a group of SOBs sexually oriented
- 46:07businesses Fought it back in 2010 so the
- 46:12law I went to effect in 2008 or
- 46:15something like that and then in 2010 it
- 46:18worked its way through the court system and
- 46:20got to the Supreme Court state of Missouri
- 46:22who did some Interpretation of what the law
- 46:27meant and what they did is they went
- 46:29back to So the strip club owner said
- 46:32this and GQ was not involved in this
- 46:34by the way It was different clubs that
- 46:37immediately filed suit against statute I think that
- 46:39was a legal mistake and a bad mistake
- 46:42because why would you do that?
- 46:45Okay, that dad that was stupid somebody did
- 46:47it because of the money But but they
- 46:49attacked it in the wrong way in my
- 46:52opinion And they went out and they attacked
- 46:54it because of these secondary effects secondary effects
- 46:57like Prostitution secondary effects like drug sales near
- 47:02these type of places that you see in
- 47:03East st.
- 47:04Louis Okay, and I don't mean to beat
- 47:06up too much on it, but you know
- 47:07I've been to some of those nests driven
- 47:09by never been in no But but it
- 47:13but you know some of them are less
- 47:14than clean.
- 47:15Let's put it that way and girls are
- 47:17I don't know what?
- 47:20Let's not go too far down that little
- 47:22pathway for you But I don't you think
- 47:25horribly of me you can think poorly of
- 47:27me.
- 47:27That's fine, but don't don't think horribly of
- 47:29me We Go back to the story of
- 47:34the Interpretation by the Supreme Court of Missouri
- 47:36and the mistake made by the first legal
- 47:38team to put this up there for these
- 47:40people anyway because what was done was the
- 47:44Supreme Court looked at what the intent of
- 47:47the Legislature was in creating the statute and
- 47:50they sat back and they reviewed all of
- 47:52the documents They listened to the testimony of
- 47:55some girls that came in and said yeah,
- 47:57sometimes guys would offer to pay me for
- 48:00sex Okay, well, that's a secondary effect of
- 48:04prostitution some and the legislature listened to some
- 48:08former strippers who are now you know soccer
- 48:11moms and Listen to them and said that
- 48:14no I didn't engage in that but guys
- 48:15would ask me you know stuff like that
- 48:17well You know you're dancing naked.
- 48:20You know perhaps.
- 48:22That's a Risk of the job.
- 48:25You know guys are guys and some are
- 48:27stupid and some some You know heck Freedom
- 48:33is freedom.
- 48:34I suppose.
- 48:35I don't know but but the Supreme Court
- 48:38went and looked at some of these Discussions
- 48:42in the legislature and talked about this and
- 48:45said they had They bought in brought in
- 48:47some experts that say some of the crap
- 48:50that I'm saying right now the legislature I
- 48:52mean before they enacted this statute in 573
- 48:57Okay now 573 statute makes it a crime
- 49:01a criminal matter, okay Supreme Court of Missouri
- 49:05says that statute is valid in a case
- 49:08called cello versus whoever the Attorney General was
- 49:12a time or Was it called cost her?
- 49:16I don't remember but cello V cost her.
- 49:18I think it was and they You know
- 49:22we're fighting against this statute and enforcement of
- 49:25the statute and blah blah blah Supreme Court
- 49:28of Missouri says that's a valid statute, okay?
- 49:34Now fine, it's a valid statute didn't impact
- 49:37anybody because sexually oriented businesses or You know
- 49:43and that's a separate definition You have to
- 49:45prove that somebody's a sexually oriented business and
- 49:48for years the term sexually oriented business did
- 49:51not include Semi-nude strip clubs a sexually
- 49:54oriented business was a nude studio was a
- 49:57nude X-rated videos stuff like that anyway
- 50:00There was a great deal of confusion around
- 50:03the enforcement of this, but nobody enforced it
- 50:05anyway because the enforcement is the local Local
- 50:12law enforcement local law enforcement would enforce those
- 50:15and The city's but remember this the statute
- 50:19that is now a statewide statute used to
- 50:21be completely local And it was set by
- 50:24ordinances by city ordinance you couldn't have an
- 50:27a strip club here So the city decided
- 50:29whether or not Jack should be there and
- 50:31the city was for it City with it
- 50:33had fought Jack's back in 2001 or something
- 50:36but since that time and especially since the
- 50:39ownership by my friend Steven is That they
- 50:42don't have a beef with it right they
- 50:44you know they make money from it to
- 50:46make revenue from it it's a safe place
- 50:48where as we're a community of You know
- 50:52tourists we have a lot of tourism a
- 50:54lot of people that do that a lot
- 50:55of guys want to go to Places like
- 50:57that.
- 50:57It's a valid place for them to go
- 50:59I don't like the fact that they have
- 51:00to shut down and then you know 130
- 51:02I think that's BS because some people want
- 51:05to stay up late, but that's me okay
- 51:08Fine rules are rules everybody follow the rules
- 51:11and GQ follows the rules and always has
- 51:14however There's a criminal statute that makes it
- 51:17a crime for a girl to expose a
- 51:19nipple call it and I'm making that part
- 51:21up because I'm not reading the statute and
- 51:24so when you go through all of this
- 51:26and There's nobody looking at it because it's
- 51:30a law enforcement Function it's a law enforcement
- 51:35Function okay, so That's the state of what's
- 51:40going on from 2010 when my friend asked
- 51:43me to participate in buying this place with
- 51:46him, and I said no and he bought
- 51:47it anyway, okay?
- 51:49And I like that place.
- 51:51I think he's done a hell of a
- 51:52job.
- 51:53I think if you go in there It's
- 51:55not an attractive place to come and find
- 51:58prostitutes.
- 51:59That's bullshit and Steve would throw him out
- 52:01anyway It's not a place where you're gonna
- 52:04have Nastiness and drug sales and stuff like
- 52:07that are bad people everywhere you have there
- 52:10been incidents around there Or you but you'll
- 52:12find those in any place on the Bagnell
- 52:15damn strip Okay, you'll be you want to
- 52:19talk about you know guys Proposition and girls
- 52:23tell me that a guy proposition and a
- 52:25girl hasn't occurred it.
- 52:27I don't know Casablanca Yeah Good luck tell
- 52:33me that they haven't offered to pay somebody
- 52:35look at you know I've Some guy sitting
- 52:39in there going look.
- 52:40I really like you, but I don't need
- 52:42a wife I'm not looking for a wife
- 52:43but tell you what we could go back
- 52:45and have a roll in the hay and
- 52:47I wouldn't be bad for me wouldn't be
- 52:50bad for you, and you know hell I'd
- 52:52even consider paying you for it You think
- 52:55that hasn't happened in other places on the
- 52:57strip?
- 52:58good luck and Tell you what people that
- 53:04are partying drunk people Stuff like that you
- 53:07that stuff might come along you might be
- 53:09offended by that Most women would be most
- 53:13women punch you in the face and deservedly
- 53:15so But it's you know you should be
- 53:18punched in the face if you're doing crap
- 53:20like that Maybe you should be arrested.
- 53:23Maybe that girl should Report you to the
- 53:27police You know tell me that that stuff
- 53:29doesn't happen not and you don't need a
- 53:32strip club for that is my point So
- 53:35that is the state of affairs all the
- 53:38way up to fast forward to 2022 maybe
- 53:42slightly before maybe 2020 and The the Wonder
- 53:51if I can find the actual crazy Communication
- 53:54that civic outlaws Discovered right we discovered With
- 54:01the help I mean we weren't An organization
- 54:05we hadn't received our 501 c3, but the
- 54:08idea was there But mr..
- 54:10Wells, and I have been friends for a
- 54:12very long time Stephen and the owner of
- 54:15club GQ I consider him one of You
- 54:20know very very few close friends that I
- 54:24could count on one hand those those Close
- 54:27friends because I don't I have a million
- 54:30acquaintances.
- 54:31It's like I told you yesterday You either
- 54:34think I'm a complete asshole, or you think
- 54:36I'm wonderful, and you know more power to
- 54:39you That's fine But but I like everybody
- 54:42for the most part and you really gotta
- 54:45piss me off to have me Dislike you
- 54:48you know and It there are people that
- 54:52I no longer consider That is and I
- 54:57know that there are people that no longer
- 54:58consider me That's a fact of life, and
- 55:01unfortunately you have to get used to it
- 55:03because people screw other people That's how it
- 55:06is people feel like they've been screwed by
- 55:10other people.
- 55:11I've never intentionally screwed Anyone that didn't have
- 55:15it coming and didn't know I was coming
- 55:19because I tell them I'm coming for you
- 55:22Trust me.
- 55:23I'm coming and I say stuff like that
- 55:26because that's who I am But you really
- 55:30gotta push me to get me to that
- 55:32point And you really gotta push me to
- 55:36get me to that point most the time.
- 55:38I'll bend over backwards trying to help you
- 55:41See my point of view or Fix whatever
- 55:47issue I might have caused okay in sometimes
- 55:52Unsuccessfully, but but I'll I'll try to do
- 55:55that anyway this sort of when you look
- 55:58at the clubs in the beginning this Prostitution
- 56:01and all that other stuff that they were
- 56:02trying to regulate through secondary effects Which previously
- 56:05was a local issue local concern now the
- 56:09state of Missouri throws in this?
- 56:11This bomb that says criminally and in you
- 56:14would put it criminally because it's criminal to
- 56:18Proposition a girl it is criminal to sell
- 56:21drugs These are criminal things if you think
- 56:23that a place like GQ Has a secondary
- 56:27effect that secondary effect is a city matter
- 56:30and the city gets to know whether or
- 56:32not It's a clean business or a shitty
- 56:34business GQ is a clean business the city
- 56:38likes it Well, maybe it doesn't like it,
- 56:41but has no objection to the way It's
- 56:44being run how it's being run these are
- 56:47local issues.
- 56:48These are not state issues nor should they
- 56:51be It is BS for the state to
- 56:54come in and jump into a criminal statute
- 56:56However if there was a highway patrolman in
- 56:59many highway patrolmen frequent this established if establishment
- 57:03if there was a Problem one of them
- 57:07would arrest whoever needed to be arrested because
- 57:11it's a criminal matter They go and and
- 57:14whoever they arrested.
- 57:16Let's say the girl is showing her There's
- 57:19a lady.
- 57:20I knew used to call it a hoo
- 57:21-ha What if there's a lay of girl
- 57:23showing her hoo-ha and you can guess
- 57:26for yourself what that means and she's showing
- 57:28the hoo-ha She shouldn't be showing the
- 57:30hoo-ha because that's against the law and
- 57:32she does it in front of a highway
- 57:34patrolman who happens to be in There enjoying
- 57:36some scenery and a brew He sees it
- 57:40goes up says you know what that's illegal.
- 57:43I'm taking you in Annie arrests her she
- 57:46has committed a crime that girl is gonna
- 57:48have all kinds of rights yes and uh
- 57:53that is No crap did this just happen
- 57:58or is this yesterday's news the u.s.
- 58:00Has launched its first land strike on Venezuela.
- 58:04Why are we?
- 58:05starting wars I'll talk about that another time,
- 58:10but it see jr.
- 58:11These freaking TVs distract me.
- 58:13I'm gonna have to turn them off I'm
- 58:15out.
- 58:18No.
- 58:18I'll just quit looking at him because it
- 58:19messes it up if I turn them off.
- 58:21I won't don't want to do that anyway
- 58:23So these secondary effects, I hope you understand
- 58:26what I'm saying when I walk you through
- 58:27the history of this But it's a it's
- 58:29a valuable history and the reason you need
- 58:32to know this history because of the ridiculousness
- 58:35of bureaucracy that has imposed itself upon people
- 58:39is nuts and this is the type of
- 58:42stuff that We at civic outlaws are Fighting
- 58:48and will fight if you have an administrative
- 58:50issue.
- 58:51I'll do another show on flop cameras.
- 58:53That's coming, too I know I've done it
- 58:55before and I want to talk about it
- 58:56again and anyone that wants to send to
- 58:59us Anything related to government overreach bureaucratic stuff.
- 59:04We will research it and do all kinds
- 59:05of we might take it as an issue
- 59:07We're looking into HOA's how about that and
- 59:11the scams of the HOA we're looking into
- 59:13The overreach of those kind of things.
- 59:16We're looking into the overreach or the government
- 59:18impact of other things okay, and If you
- 59:25have an issue, you should send it to
- 59:26us Samuel T at international flavor calm.
- 59:30I give that because my civic outlaws.
- 59:32It's Samuel T at civic outlaws calm and
- 59:35that is Isn't quite as Stable Right now
- 59:44I've done something wrong set it up, but
- 59:45I got people where people top people are
- 59:48working on it okay to try to attempt
- 59:50to fix that so Here comes ATC and
- 59:55I really want to share this letter with
- 1:00:00you Because it's not a letter.
- 1:00:02It's an email.
- 1:00:03Okay, and There are some people up there
- 1:00:07in the Attorney General's office and so another
- 1:00:11person That is At the ATC that is
- 1:00:20the Acting director of the ATC and Her
- 1:00:29name is Kristen Templeton.
- 1:00:31Okay, and I've never met her, you know,
- 1:00:33I saw her in a court one day,
- 1:00:35but I've never met her And on January
- 1:00:38the 13th of 2022, okay, we received this
- 1:00:42we received this through sunshine requests 3,600
- 1:00:49pages we're still working on some of some
- 1:00:52some more and We've been back and forth
- 1:00:56and back and forth and back and forth
- 1:00:58and there that's another long story in itself
- 1:01:01but we've gone through a bunch of these
- 1:01:04records and What and how this goes Okay,
- 1:01:08so remember 573 criminal statute ATC granted authority
- 1:01:15under chapter 311 for alcohol and chapter chapter
- 1:01:20407 for I think it's for some for
- 1:01:24Tobacco, that's where they get their power in
- 1:01:27chapter 311 people the the Inspectors the officers
- 1:01:34the enforcers the ATC bureaucrats are directed to
- 1:01:42enforce Regulations under chapter only related to chapter
- 1:01:50311 and 407 things that they have the
- 1:01:54authority to review now they've also been Given
- 1:02:01or how to Qualify them for this and
- 1:02:04remember back the the ATC was created back
- 1:02:08during prohibition actually after that but but you
- 1:02:12always think of that when they were regulating
- 1:02:14some of that things is when there is
- 1:02:16is way back when the ATC was create
- 1:02:18created and they were Given the status of
- 1:02:24law enforcement Okay, they have to be qualified
- 1:02:27for the job to have a job qualification
- 1:02:30you have to be post certified those people
- 1:02:34post certification means you're a law enforcement trained
- 1:02:38and qualified person in order to be an
- 1:02:43inspector or a Enforcer for alcohol tobacco you
- 1:02:49have to have post certification But you are
- 1:02:54not a police officer you are not the
- 1:02:59position you hold is not a Police officer
- 1:03:03you cannot just be hanging out and see
- 1:03:07somebody I don't know drunk driving down the
- 1:03:09street and arrest them That's not how it
- 1:03:14works That is not within your authority Your
- 1:03:18authority comes from chapter 3 11 and 407
- 1:03:22and you can't Act as you you know,
- 1:03:25they carry guns.
- 1:03:27I don't know why but these these guys
- 1:03:29are carrying guns Why is that?
- 1:03:32You know, maybe Pretty soon.
- 1:03:35They'll be running around like every other cop
- 1:03:37wearing wearing What do they call those guys?
- 1:03:42The Jesus wearing I don't know wearing Gestapo
- 1:03:47type outfits And I forget what they call
- 1:03:50those SWAT SWAT team SWAT gear We put
- 1:03:53them out there body armor and crap like
- 1:03:55that.
- 1:03:56It's in your you're pushing for a confrontation.
- 1:03:59That's what you're doing There's no such thing
- 1:04:01as just a piece or police officer anymore
- 1:04:03Everybody has to have everything to kill people
- 1:04:07to maim them and By God, everybody's a
- 1:04:10SWAT member, you know we should give them
- 1:04:13all tanks next and people have been pushing
- 1:04:16for that, but That's a joke, by the
- 1:04:19way, but but here you go with this
- 1:04:22That is where their authority comes from.
- 1:04:24That is how it gets they are law
- 1:04:26enforcement Trained but they are not law enforcement
- 1:04:30Okay, so they have the training and they
- 1:04:33carry a gun, but they are not law
- 1:04:36enforcement Officers, okay.
- 1:04:38They are trained as law enforcement That is
- 1:04:41it and their position is not a law
- 1:04:45enforcement position.
- 1:04:46Their position is administrative it is the same
- 1:04:51as a I don't know a An accounting
- 1:04:58board position Regulating an accountant.
- 1:05:02Okay, it is that it is an executive
- 1:05:06branch Administrative position they are not police officers
- 1:05:11so what we discovered through all of our
- 1:05:14letters to them and getting documents from these
- 1:05:19Jokers I will share with you in much
- 1:05:22detail over the next many days because it's
- 1:05:25a long story and and It it and
- 1:05:30who knows how it's gonna end up and
- 1:05:32that we're waiting on a ruling on a
- 1:05:34couple of things right now but from this
- 1:05:37I want to share with you a letter
- 1:05:42email written by Kristen Templeton the acting head
- 1:05:47of ATC, okay, and I wonder why she's
- 1:05:52acting she's been there forever and are we
- 1:05:55ever gonna make her the head of ATC?
- 1:05:57It's a very good question, you know, but
- 1:05:59she has been the acting head forever And
- 1:06:03she sends this this email on January the
- 1:06:0513th.
- 1:06:06We receive this through sunshine requests and we
- 1:06:09have them and She sends this this email
- 1:06:13Email is good morning.
- 1:06:15I want you to thank for you for
- 1:06:15listening to me or pretending to because we
- 1:06:18all know I talk way too much I
- 1:06:21appreciate the opportunity to visit with you and
- 1:06:23She was so and I'm paraphrasing some of
- 1:06:26this and reading between the lines because I
- 1:06:28want to get through it Oh, it's a
- 1:06:29long email and she says we've been brainstorming
- 1:06:32new and innovative ideas We have talking about
- 1:06:36communication in the organization, especially places where we
- 1:06:40spread out across the state we're blessed with
- 1:06:42an abundance of autonomy Those words offended me
- 1:06:48greatly It just in an email and I'm
- 1:06:51not so positive It was meant to indicate
- 1:06:54what she said, but saying basically we're autonomous
- 1:06:57we can do what we want Because we're
- 1:07:00autonomous and people don't bug us yet.
- 1:07:02We are expected to act consistent with other
- 1:07:06offices I am cognizant that there are many
- 1:07:09things that we are unfortunately Inconsistent on but
- 1:07:13I'm dedicated to addressing these issues as they
- 1:07:16arise.
- 1:07:16Well, this is an issue miss Templeton And
- 1:07:20I have brought it up as have many
- 1:07:22others and you know Remember how I think
- 1:07:26and how I think that everybody should think
- 1:07:29but I don't care if you do or
- 1:07:30don't I'm Always open to being convinced that
- 1:07:36I'm incorrect always But you don't come in
- 1:07:39and dictate to me and just offhanded guy.
- 1:07:42You're wrong.
- 1:07:42Take a hike.
- 1:07:43I am giving you the argument I am
- 1:07:45walking you through why I believe the way
- 1:07:48that I believe and Why I think you
- 1:07:51are wrong and what you are doing is
- 1:07:53incorrect.
- 1:07:54Does it mean I dislike you?
- 1:07:56No, does it mean you know that that
- 1:07:58you know?
- 1:07:59I wouldn't be kind to you if we
- 1:08:01met or that you know You know, we'd
- 1:08:03punch each other in the face.
- 1:08:04No, this is a dispute How do you
- 1:08:07resolve disputes you convince each other and sometimes
- 1:08:11you can't convince each other in some big
- 1:08:13some somebody bigger comes in and says Boom,
- 1:08:15this is how it goes if I think
- 1:08:17you're wrong And I can't convince you that
- 1:08:20you know that does I will still comply
- 1:08:22if I'm forced to comply But that doesn't
- 1:08:26mean I'm not gonna tell everybody that I
- 1:08:27think you're wrong and you're full of crap
- 1:08:29and here you go Well miss Templeton, I
- 1:08:31think you're wrong and then and I'm explaining
- 1:08:33why I think you're wrong based on your
- 1:08:36own history and how you've gone through this
- 1:08:37and I believe that you have created a
- 1:08:40scenario where I Think that Jack's Inc that
- 1:08:44owns Club GQ should sue you For money
- 1:08:48and for damages that is again.
- 1:08:50That's nothing that is You know, I hate
- 1:08:54you or anything.
- 1:08:55I don't it's a dispute disputes get resolved
- 1:08:57in court by adults Adults get to claim
- 1:09:01what they say and the judge goes.
- 1:09:03Are you sure you're not being unreasonable here?
- 1:09:05You know what?
- 1:09:05You really have interpreted that wrong.
- 1:09:07That is why the legal system exists To
- 1:09:11resolve these type of disputes and that's what's
- 1:09:14happening and there will be further action That's
- 1:09:17it's just gonna happen and during this Long
- 1:09:23email she said two full single spaced pages
- 1:09:28She said the following, okay yeah, she she
- 1:09:37Took a let's see.
- 1:09:40Ah, here we go.
- 1:09:41So there's a attorney general Name it works
- 1:09:45in the Attorney General's office guy named Clayton
- 1:09:47Weems Clayton Weems.
- 1:09:48It's my understanding used to be the counsel
- 1:09:53for ATC used to be counsel there.
- 1:09:57He may have been counsel at the time
- 1:09:59there.
- 1:09:59I really don't know the answer But he
- 1:10:01was counsel for alcohol tobacco, right and get
- 1:10:05this paragraph that she said they were they
- 1:10:07were Had been dealing with an issue at
- 1:10:09a place with called cow LLC and Hamilton
- 1:10:12Entertainment Inc for a long time they said
- 1:10:16that cow was operating a sexually oriented business,
- 1:10:20which by the way is only defined in
- 1:10:22573 a criminal statute But she's decided to
- 1:10:28interpret and say that this place is a
- 1:10:30sexually oriented business mistake number one She didn't
- 1:10:34say we allege their sexually oriented business.
- 1:10:37She said they are it's possible They aren't
- 1:10:40she doesn't get to make that determination a
- 1:10:42court or a jury of competent peers Makes
- 1:10:46that determination not you.
- 1:10:48Okay, but she says this place was operating
- 1:10:50in a separate sexually oriented business And applied
- 1:10:55for a license and we denied Hamilton's license
- 1:11:01due only to a pending action okay, so
- 1:11:06they have an action that they go in
- 1:11:08and Administratively, no 573 no crime.
- 1:11:14No, nothing.
- 1:11:14They know they're not arresting anybody.
- 1:11:16They've just decided that administratively, they're going to
- 1:11:20go and Verify or decide what somebody is
- 1:11:26or is not a sexually oriented business is
- 1:11:29or is not breaking 573 but they're doing
- 1:11:33it without somebody being charged with 573 They
- 1:11:38cannot charge anybody under 573 and here is
- 1:11:44the exact Overreach that I detest and I've
- 1:11:49been talking about Here is how they overreached,
- 1:11:52right?
- 1:11:53We denied Hamilton a license due to the
- 1:11:58pending action against its predecessor Basically, which called
- 1:12:01a cow During this appeal Clayton this is
- 1:12:07the Attorney General.
- 1:12:08She says that Clayton discovered a statute Discovered
- 1:12:12the statute that I was telling you about
- 1:12:14before he discovered a statute that actually has
- 1:12:17been in place since 2010 but that the
- 1:12:20current leadership team was completely unaware of So
- 1:12:26you're unaware of a statute that came out
- 1:12:28in 2010 went to the Supreme Court of
- 1:12:33Missouri who said it was a valid statute
- 1:12:37in that a cello case that I was
- 1:12:40telling you about but ATC didn't know about
- 1:12:44it because number one It's not their job
- 1:12:47to enforce 573 they wouldn't know about it
- 1:12:53because it's not in their Line of authority.
- 1:12:58It's a law enforcement criminal Statute.
- 1:13:03Okay.
- 1:13:04Now get this because this is key she
- 1:13:07says Clayton whose weems he's no longer the
- 1:13:13Whether general counsel or just counsel for ATC,
- 1:13:16I don't know but he is still an
- 1:13:18attorney that works for a for The Attorney
- 1:13:21General's office and he helped her Still spoke
- 1:13:26with her apparently and helped her out and
- 1:13:28he's still their attorney today.
- 1:13:30I saw him in court and So he
- 1:13:35still helps represent them, but he's mistaken here
- 1:13:37Okay, and the mistake is that there is
- 1:13:40no authority for this but here is what
- 1:13:43in 2022 the the ATC acting head who's
- 1:13:51still the acting head and Clayton and there's
- 1:13:55not Clayton weems, but that's Clayton.
- 1:13:57She said during the extended duration of the
- 1:13:59appeals Clayton Discovered a statute that has been
- 1:14:03in place since 2010 But that current leadership
- 1:14:06was unaware of we later learned that then
- 1:14:09leadership was notified of the law taking effect
- 1:14:12But believe that perhaps due to timing in
- 1:14:16conjunction with mass layoffs Where it's never able
- 1:14:20to be incorporated into enforcement action.
- 1:14:24So here's her mistake She thinks that she
- 1:14:29has the power and Clayton hasn't stopped her
- 1:14:33because he too thinks that she has the
- 1:14:37power and She doesn't nor does Clayton nor
- 1:14:42does any actor in the ATC any Investigator
- 1:14:48any inspector they don't have the power Because
- 1:14:52it's never been given to them.
- 1:14:54This is where she is doing the interpreting
- 1:14:59That people were talking about and Remember, there's
- 1:15:03a statute that I went through yesterday with
- 1:15:06you 536 dot 1 4 0 that says
- 1:15:09only courts can interpret intent only tor courts
- 1:15:14can interpret meaning can give meaning to a
- 1:15:18statute if there's something confusing and they do
- 1:15:21that by Legislative intent by going out and
- 1:15:24seeing what they do if the legislature intended
- 1:15:26to have this 573 and forced by ATC
- 1:15:32they would have enabled them to do so
- 1:15:36and they didn't so here is bureaucratic Stretching
- 1:15:41bureaucratic creep if you want to call it
- 1:15:44that bureaucratic Overreach by people taking power that
- 1:15:49they've not been given why?
- 1:15:52Because they're bureaucrats and that is what they
- 1:15:56do You can't stop them bureaucratic creep has
- 1:16:00been around since the Middle Ages whenever they
- 1:16:04first started having sorts of Committees to assist
- 1:16:10the king in doing his You know ruling
- 1:16:13of the place bureaucratic creep is taking power
- 1:16:17that doesn't belong to you and the power
- 1:16:22does not belong to ATC to enforce these
- 1:16:26statutes and that is what this fight is
- 1:16:30about and So it's about bureaucratic overreach Okay,
- 1:16:35and a judge has been asked to determine
- 1:16:38this especially in light of the new statute
- 1:16:42So but what she says in her?
- 1:16:46Stealing of power that doesn't belong to her
- 1:16:48is she says In 573 dot zero one
- 1:16:55zero defines terms including now she's playing lawyer,
- 1:16:58right?
- 1:16:59To tell people what it is when Clayton
- 1:17:02pointed her towards this sexually oriented businesses Subsection
- 1:17:07B lists an adult cabaret now that wasn't
- 1:17:10listed before before an adult cabaret was totally
- 1:17:14nude Okay, and so GQ wasn't a cabaret
- 1:17:18suddenly She says they've been turned into an
- 1:17:22adult cabaret well That's possible, but you got
- 1:17:25to arrest him to come up to that
- 1:17:26you don't get to make that decision Just
- 1:17:29say huh it is boom there you go.
- 1:17:32You are an adult cabaret period okay?
- 1:17:34She doesn't get to define whether you're not
- 1:17:37you are a sexually oriented business.
- 1:17:39That is not her job Okay, not ridiculous.
- 1:17:44You can go and read it and say
- 1:17:45well I think this you know that you
- 1:17:47are but that okay.
- 1:17:48I think you're not so what happens You
- 1:17:52got to go to court, and if it's
- 1:17:54a criminal statute you have all the rights
- 1:17:57entailed in 573 you have the right to
- 1:18:00confront witnesses you get a right to do
- 1:18:02in an administrative fashion you do not in
- 1:18:05Administrative fashions they can say whatever the hell
- 1:18:07they want and you're not going to get
- 1:18:09any Arrest right to confront witnesses all this
- 1:18:13other stuff.
- 1:18:13It's extreme.
- 1:18:14It's limited in that regard We could go
- 1:18:16further into that But we're running out of
- 1:18:18time here on today's program And we're gonna
- 1:18:20continue with this for a little while because
- 1:18:22this is important right and and not important
- 1:18:25whether or not you like Club GQ hate
- 1:18:27GQ like Steve Wells don't like Steve Wells.
- 1:18:30I don't give a shit about any of
- 1:18:31that I don't care whether you like me
- 1:18:33or don't like me the fact is this
- 1:18:35is the law Okay, and the law is
- 1:18:39the law and who interprets it remember this
- 1:18:42judicial branch interprets bureaucrats do not under the
- 1:18:47current status of Chevron being overturned by Loper
- 1:18:51bright and the state of Missouri Codifying that
- 1:18:54getting rid of and saying that the courts
- 1:18:58determine in you know what the interpretation of
- 1:19:03a statute means a bureaucrat cannot and If
- 1:19:07they do we presume the result the court
- 1:19:10does they look at it de novo brand
- 1:19:13-new?
- 1:19:13and they consider it in the light most
- 1:19:15favorable toward most favorable to the restoration of
- 1:19:19Liberty and Individual rights and against What do
- 1:19:24you call it bureaucratic creep?
- 1:19:26They don't like that So get this she
- 1:19:29says later We're laying out statutory provisions related
- 1:19:34to sexually oriented businesses in 573 most important
- 1:19:38of all the provision in section 9 which
- 1:19:39says no person shall knowingly or Intentionally sell
- 1:19:43use or consume alcohol on the premises of
- 1:19:46a sexually oriented business Now club GQ wasn't
- 1:19:50a sexually oriented business ever okay, and so
- 1:19:53But what they're doing is now She is
- 1:19:57the sole repository of who is or is
- 1:20:00not a sexually oriented business She is the
- 1:20:03sole interpreter of chapter 573 dot 531 and
- 1:20:08so she says long story short there are
- 1:20:10a lot of sexually oriented businesses that are
- 1:20:14currently licensed and acting in violation of 573
- 1:20:17531 who are you to say that?
- 1:20:21Arrest them have them arrested Don't you don't
- 1:20:24get it.
- 1:20:24You don't get to make this determination.
- 1:20:26This is bullshit pardon my French Now that
- 1:20:29we have an agreement with the prior offender,
- 1:20:33okay that they were talking about now that
- 1:20:35they now They've discovered this law through working
- 1:20:37on the other plates Clayton Clayton is comfortable
- 1:20:42Clayton is comfortable.
- 1:20:44This is a lawyer advising them Incorrectly the
- 1:20:47Clayton is comfortable with making a public change
- 1:20:50to the application form Listen to this carefully.
- 1:20:55This is a big deal a public change
- 1:20:57to the application form After they submit a
- 1:21:01revised application as part of their settlement agreement.
- 1:21:05They have until mid-february Oh, that's a
- 1:21:07specific one and and she she said But
- 1:21:11this is for everybody they're applying this to
- 1:21:13everyone now she is changing policy right here
- 1:21:16in February of 2022 she's changing policy.
- 1:21:20We are going to make a public change
- 1:21:22to our application forms to ask licensees if
- 1:21:27their Establishment is operating as a sexually oriented
- 1:21:31business So here's the trick you trick them
- 1:21:35into saying whether they are or are not
- 1:21:38a sexually oriented business because she knows that
- 1:21:43she can't make that determination if It is
- 1:21:46a sexually oriented business.
- 1:21:48This will be a reason and the sole
- 1:21:51reason I Added the first sole reason for
- 1:21:55denial of an alcohol license moving forward for
- 1:22:00those that are currently licensed like GQ and
- 1:22:04Won't be answering that question because they don't
- 1:22:07have to answer that question if you're renewing
- 1:22:10You're renewing the same license.
- 1:22:12You always had here, but but listen, excuse
- 1:22:14me, but listen to this It will be
- 1:22:17a denial going forward For those that are
- 1:22:21currently licensed and who won't be answering that
- 1:22:23question unless they have a significant change Clayton
- 1:22:27is Working on creating a circular now this
- 1:22:31circular I've read it I'll share it with
- 1:22:33you tomorrow because I want to finish this
- 1:22:35email and we're gonna stop here today She
- 1:22:38says I assume we will give them a
- 1:22:41limited amount of time to shift their business
- 1:22:43model she is now Dictating what a place
- 1:22:47will do to have a liquor license.
- 1:22:50That's been an established business since before she
- 1:22:53was Born probably.
- 1:22:56Well, I don't know she is when I
- 1:22:57saw her she didn't look that old So
- 1:22:59who knows but it's been around 40 years.
- 1:23:01So maybe she's for it.
- 1:23:02Maybe she's born already.
- 1:23:03I don't know but Anyway, here you go
- 1:23:07This is her Stealing Authority it doesn't belong
- 1:23:13to her.
- 1:23:14Why because she's a bureaucrat.
- 1:23:17This is what they do they Creep they
- 1:23:22have bureaucratic creep if you don't have the
- 1:23:24authority.
- 1:23:25Well We'll just ask Clayton Clayton.
- 1:23:28He'll create a circular for us and suddenly
- 1:23:30we have the power but Clayton wasn't appointed
- 1:23:33The sole arbiter of creating a circular or
- 1:23:39for including 573 and an enforcement mechanism for
- 1:23:43a place that is only enforceable under chapter
- 1:23:463 11 and 407 This is a big
- 1:23:49mistake This is wrong and it needs to
- 1:23:53be fought and Stephen Wells is fighting it
- 1:23:55Okay, and he should be because this is
- 1:23:59B s Particularly so it was BS always
- 1:24:04but it's now very much BS because of
- 1:24:09the overturning of the Chevron doctrine by the
- 1:24:12Loper bright decision by the United States Supreme
- 1:24:15Court in 2024 for federal Regulation, which was
- 1:24:20creeping as well Federal regulatory regulators taking power
- 1:24:24that doesn't belong to them because that's what
- 1:24:26bureaucrats do and it's also Codified in state
- 1:24:31statute in chapter five three six dot one
- 1:24:36four zero sub paragraph three particularly and you
- 1:24:41look at those things and this Interpretation of
- 1:24:46this statute we're waiting for a ruling, you
- 1:24:49know right now on What is going to
- 1:24:53be determined, but I guarantee you win or
- 1:24:55lose The Attorney General appeal if Club GQ
- 1:25:00wins and I know damn well that Club
- 1:25:04GQ will appeal because it's a we're this
- 1:25:06is the correct argument This is how it
- 1:25:09should end up.
- 1:25:11And so this will likely be a Supreme
- 1:25:14Court of Missouri case At some point, okay,
- 1:25:18because they have to make this and I
- 1:25:20believe this is the first challenge to or
- 1:25:24first Interpretation under 536 dot 140 which only
- 1:25:29took account went into place in August 28
- 1:25:33of 2025 now Remember this because this is
- 1:25:37important they did not have authority prior to
- 1:25:432010 ATC didn't have the authority to enforce
- 1:25:49573 any criminal statutes they didn't have it.
- 1:25:52They their power comes from 311 and 407.
- 1:25:55That's it and 311 limits it specifically to
- 1:26:00violations of anything under 311 now they create
- 1:26:04their own regulations, but if they create regulations
- 1:26:07code of state regulations 70 dash Something is
- 1:26:12there is there bailiwick where they've created regulations
- 1:26:15saying certain things those regulations are also things
- 1:26:20that if they've interpreted what the statute says
- 1:26:23those are attackable and should be attacked because
- 1:26:28you can't just take an Interpretation that you
- 1:26:32make as a is a bureaucrat and pass
- 1:26:36it along this is what Donald Trump and
- 1:26:39company in the court under Donald Trump has
- 1:26:42done is to say that Administrators lifelong people
- 1:26:46don't get it come along and create Create
- 1:26:50law on their own.
- 1:26:53They aren't the creators of law the creators
- 1:26:56of law are the legislature and the governor
- 1:27:01rubber stamping and signing it and Tomorrow we'll
- 1:27:05go further into this will go further down
- 1:27:08this hole Because it's important and what she
- 1:27:12says later get this the circular which I'll
- 1:27:14share with you tomorrow she says I assume
- 1:27:17we will give them these every single place
- 1:27:20that she decides is a sexually oriented business
- 1:27:23a limited amount of time to shift their
- 1:27:26business model or Relinquish their license.
- 1:27:30They got to give up the license Ideally
- 1:27:31we can address this before renewal season and
- 1:27:35remedy these by the end of the fiscal
- 1:27:38year We know there will be some that
- 1:27:40slip through when we're attacking everybody But some
- 1:27:43of them will get through and we will
- 1:27:45address those as we find them And here's
- 1:27:48the caveat she gives and then I'll end
- 1:27:50the show it is worth noting there is
- 1:27:54a very slim area for bars restaurants to
- 1:27:57legally allow servers bartenders to wear bikinis and
- 1:28:01Not qualify as a cabaret or a sexually
- 1:28:03oriented business So she's acknowledging that you know
- 1:28:06a sexually oriented business might or might not
- 1:28:09be if you read the definition of semi
- 1:28:11-nude Which is also new under the new
- 1:28:13statute bullet three above to see what is
- 1:28:16not considered semi-nude Clayton who's you know
- 1:28:21Clayton has determined well.
- 1:28:23I don't know where he gets to power
- 1:28:24Clayton decided Clayton has expressed that it would
- 1:28:28be a very fine line Given the definition
- 1:28:31of cabaret and that it is the Employees
- 1:28:34would need to be strictly limited in their
- 1:28:36duties as waitresses bartenders etc and not providing
- 1:28:40any kind of performance Defined as a play
- 1:28:44motion picture videotape dance or exhibition performed for
- 1:28:48an audience of one or more so they
- 1:28:52are Taking power that doesn't belong to them
- 1:28:55is the main Focus of this and the
- 1:29:00fight over sunshine law requests is really quite
- 1:29:06Entertaining and I didn't get to the letter
- 1:29:08today that we need to get to tomorrow
- 1:29:10Because I'm gonna share with you her responses
- 1:29:13to some of these sunshines some of which
- 1:29:15are just freaking ridiculous They're funny.
- 1:29:19I mean every time I read one.
- 1:29:21I just I just start laughing.
- 1:29:23You know it's like oh my god here
- 1:29:24We go anyway, that's the show for today.
- 1:29:26I appreciate you being here.
