- 0:00Speaker 1: The Big Show Extra sponsored by Farah and Farah. Here
- 0:04Speaker 1: for You, Here for Good.
- 0:09Speaker 2: With Country ninety nine one wq i K The Big
- 0:12Speaker 2: Show with Froggie, John and Megan a married couple facing
- 0:15Speaker 2: felony charges. Now, this guy was flying a drone. There's
- 0:20Speaker 2: this dude flying a little Mini three pro drone around
- 0:23Speaker 2: eleven thirty one night. This is down in Port Saint Lucy.
- 0:27Speaker 2: He lost communication while it was in flight. The drone
- 0:31Speaker 2: was programmed to automatically return to the home when connection
- 0:34Speaker 2: is lost. Unfortunately I didn't do that and it landed
- 0:38Speaker 2: like in a neighbor's backyard. He saw where it landed
- 0:42Speaker 2: and said, well, let me go. Let me go to
- 0:44Speaker 2: that house and knock on the door and tell them
- 0:49Speaker 2: my drones in your backyard? Is this where things go?
- 0:52Speaker 2: Arrived when the owner of the house gets it, and
- 0:58Speaker 2: then it's they did something with it. Evidently she walks
- 1:01Speaker 2: up and answers the door, or at least she talks
- 1:05Speaker 2: to her ring camera. They determined that that wasn't theirs
- 1:10Speaker 2: and nobody should have that in their yard. Oh, because
- 1:13Speaker 2: the man knocks, the ring camera comes on and when
- 1:18Speaker 2: he knocked on the front door, a woman's voice came
- 1:20Speaker 2: through the ring doorbell camera and declared, you don't have
- 1:24Speaker 2: a blank and drone anymore, sir. They throw it in
- 1:27Speaker 2: the fire pit. The Big Show with Froggy, John and Meghan.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Good morning, John, Morning, Frog, Good morning, Megan.
- 1:35Speaker 3: Good morning.
- 1:36Speaker 4: How was your name?
- 1:37Speaker 3: It was good. I tried out the viral Aldie crab legs.
- 1:41Speaker 3: Have you heard of that?
- 1:42Speaker 4: No?
- 1:42Speaker 5: No, twenty two bucks and it's like a pound and
- 1:45Speaker 5: a half a crab. It was like three of those
- 1:48Speaker 5: clock cluster things. Amazing out. Oh really, yeah, it was
- 1:53Speaker 5: like a steel that tasted good.
- 1:56Speaker 1: I tried one of those viral things that went really bad,
- 1:58Speaker 1: and I've been afraid to try anything again.
- 2:02Speaker 5: Sometimes it's a it's hit or miss, you know. With
- 2:05Speaker 5: the crab legs, I'm telling you solid choice.
- 2:08Speaker 4: So what exactly did you do?
- 2:10Speaker 5: We just boiled them and you know, a ton of seasoning,
- 2:14Speaker 5: like a ton of Tony's, and made some baked potatoes
- 2:17Speaker 5: on the side.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Oh sounds good. Now, let me ask you this, how'd
- 2:21Speaker 1: you get the smell out of the house.
- 2:24Speaker 5: Well, we have a kitchen window, so luckily I just
- 2:26Speaker 5: pop the window open and it's cool. So, but I
- 2:30Speaker 5: think my smell is still a little bit gone from
- 2:32Speaker 5: being sick last week, so it didn't. Maybe maybe my
- 2:36Speaker 5: house smells like crabs. I have no idea, you know,
- 2:38Speaker 5: like I look forward.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Every year because on Thanksgiving we always we deep fry turkey,
- 2:45Speaker 1: so it smells so good. When you're deep frying the turkey,
- 2:49Speaker 1: it smells good. But about two days later, it smells
- 2:51Speaker 1: like rancid grease. It's like, wait a second, how do
- 2:54Speaker 1: I get that smell out of the house.
- 2:56Speaker 5: Yeah, I did bake some chocolate chip cookies from scratch yesterday,
- 2:59Speaker 5: so I think maybe that smell well. Hopefully it'll do
- 3:03Speaker 5: me okay when I get home.
- 3:04Speaker 4: And it's a battle of the aroma.
- 3:07Speaker 1: John, did you get an invite for the freshly baked
- 3:09Speaker 1: chocolate chip cookies and crab legs?
- 3:12Speaker 2: I'm a mirror a couple of miles away from her house,
- 3:14Speaker 2: and I got no. It must have got lost in
- 3:17Speaker 2: the mail email. Her email didn't go through. We had
- 3:20Speaker 2: a bad connection. I'm trying to think of what's the reason.
- 3:23Speaker 5: If the cookies would last more than a day in
- 3:25Speaker 5: my house with my boyfriend, then I would bring.
- 3:27Speaker 4: You so four minutes away. You got hurried.
- 3:30Speaker 3: When suckers get out of the oven. You gotta come
- 3:33Speaker 3: run it.
- 3:33Speaker 4: You're cooking, he's working. You know what I'm saying. It
- 3:36Speaker 4: can beat him to him from now on.
- 3:38Speaker 1: When you put the cookies in the oven, that's when
- 3:40Speaker 1: you text John, Yeah, going in.
- 3:42Speaker 2: I'll grab some for you Frog bring him back. You
- 3:45Speaker 2: know they're not going to make us the race station.
- 3:47Speaker 2: You're right, there's no way. Okay, you nail that. There's
- 3:52Speaker 2: no way. We've uh, we got tickets to see Shine
- 3:54Speaker 2: Down today. We're gonna play the Pop Quiz right around seventeen.
- 3:57Speaker 2: That's a sold out show every single time. I mean
- 3:59Speaker 2: obviously hometown band right here from Jack's, but every time
- 4:03Speaker 2: they come here, yep, it sells out and it is
- 4:06Speaker 2: the hottest ticket in town. We've got them your chance
- 4:09Speaker 2: to win them with the pop Quiz coming up right
- 4:11Speaker 2: around seven to ten.
- 4:13Speaker 4: First, let's get a.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Quick check on three things you need to know to
- 4:16Speaker 1: get you through your Jacksonville Tuesday.
- 4:18Speaker 4: What's going on, Megan?
- 4:19Speaker 5: Two Americans were rested in Japan because one of them
- 4:22Speaker 5: decided to climb into punch the monkeys enclosure. Remember the
- 4:27Speaker 5: viral monkey that Froggy's wife was obsessed with. Yep, yes, yeah,
- 4:32Speaker 5: So one of these people that got arrested. They dressed
- 4:35Speaker 5: up in a character costume of like the sunglasses of Mooji,
- 4:41Speaker 5: and I mean it was just ridiculous.
- 4:43Speaker 3: So, yeah, they're in jail now.
- 4:45Speaker 4: Man, we can't go anywhere. No, we can't we go.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Are they from Florida? Because I have a feeling and
- 4:51Speaker 1: they could be our next Florida here And you wonder
- 4:53Speaker 1: why people hate Americans all.
- 4:54Speaker 3: The time, No kidding.
- 4:56Speaker 5: Thursday, the Jazz Festival kicks off down to so if
- 5:00Speaker 5: you're out and about, it's a free, family friendly event.
- 5:03Speaker 3: It just looks amazing.
- 5:04Speaker 5: One to four pm today, there's a job there happening
- 5:07Speaker 5: at the Guy Harvey Resort in Saint Augustine for hospitality
- 5:10Speaker 5: positions if you're looking for a job or you're looking
- 5:13Speaker 5: to add another job.
- 5:14Speaker 4: Eight Morgan Wallan, How was Thomas Rhett on Friday Night? Guys?
- 5:18Speaker 5: He was incredible, Right, He's always just such a cool
- 5:21Speaker 5: performer to watch.
- 5:23Speaker 1: It was the opener. That's pretty darn cool. I know, right,
- 5:26Speaker 1: I saw. I saw During the ACMs they had Brooksly
- 5:29Speaker 1: and Donn won their award for Duo of the Year. Yeah,
- 5:32Speaker 1: when you really get down to duo of the year. It
- 5:33Speaker 1: comes really comes down to two people, Brooks and Dun,
- 5:36Speaker 1: Dan and Shay. Outside of that, I'm.
- 5:38Speaker 5: Like, uh, Brothers Osborne and then they always seem to
- 5:42Speaker 5: win some kind of awards.
- 5:43Speaker 4: Because they show up.
- 5:45Speaker 1: But Ronnie Dunn said, yeah, we opened for Morgan the
- 5:48Speaker 1: other night, and I'm like, wait a second, let's let's
- 5:50Speaker 1: put this in perspective. Yeah, Brooks and dun the goat
- 5:53Speaker 1: of duos in country music. I mean literally, yeah, it
- 5:56Speaker 1: really is. Nobody close. They opened for Morgan Wallan. Thomas
- 5:59Speaker 1: Rhet opens for Morgan Wallen. It's incredible the people that
- 6:04Speaker 1: just want to get on that tour to be in
- 6:07Speaker 1: front of a packed stadium. And when when when Thomas
- 6:09Speaker 1: Read opened Meghan, you degree it was full.
- 6:11Speaker 4: Stadium was absolutely full.
- 6:13Speaker 3: Yeah it was.
- 6:14Speaker 5: It was kind of weird though, looking up there and
- 6:17Speaker 5: being like Thomas Rhett is opening, Like it's like we
- 6:20Speaker 5: we don't get to just experience at Morgan Wallen concert.
- 6:23Speaker 3: We also get a Thomas Rhett concert. I mean it's
- 6:25Speaker 3: just so cool.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Yeah that is, and it's crazy think about the next
- 6:29Speaker 2: night when it was the Ella Langley, because I knew
- 6:32Speaker 2: people that were asking, uh, do you have any Saturday
- 6:35Speaker 2: show of tickets and I was like, you're being specific, Well,
- 6:38Speaker 2: we really want to see Ella Langley and she's I mean,
- 6:41Speaker 2: she is the hot commodity right now.
- 6:42Speaker 4: Yeah. I think it's something to do with her last name.
- 6:44Speaker 1: That's just my uh yeah, Megan music City minute and
- 6:49Speaker 1: see what is going on in Nashville, Music City.
- 6:52Speaker 4: What's up?
- 6:52Speaker 5: Well, talking a little bit more about the ACMs, you know, Megan.
- 6:55Speaker 3: Maroney was up for awards, but we didn't see her.
- 6:58Speaker 5: After the awards show, well found out that her best
- 7:01Speaker 5: friend's wedding was happening same day, same time, and Megan
- 7:04Speaker 5: was actually the maid of honor. So it warmed my
- 7:06Speaker 5: heart a little bit. She's got her priorities. Family friends
- 7:09Speaker 5: always should come first.
- 7:11Speaker 4: I saw her makeup commercial though a few times during
- 7:13Speaker 4: the ACMs.
- 7:14Speaker 5: Yes, love me some Megan Maroney, She's so beautiful. Tyler
- 7:19Speaker 5: White from Love on the Spectrum he put out his
- 7:21Speaker 5: first country song called Oh Yeah Baby.
- 7:24Speaker 3: Tyler is a fan favorite. He's one of my favorites.
- 7:27Speaker 5: He's the cast member who's all about country music and
- 7:29Speaker 5: he's engaged to Madison, So that's really cool to see
- 7:32Speaker 5: DJ Tyler coming out with country music and Zachtop is
- 7:36Speaker 5: pushing back against the country music world going sober. To
- 7:41Speaker 5: sum it up, basically, he's saying, this is a new
- 7:43Speaker 5: trend he's seeing coming out, and he's like, not everything
- 7:46Speaker 5: has to be extreme. He thinks that people can just
- 7:49Speaker 5: drink and be normal and do it their whole lives.
- 7:51Speaker 5: But I think we've seen Zachtop drunk more times than
- 7:54Speaker 5: we've seen him sober.
- 7:55Speaker 3: So I don't know about that.
- 7:57Speaker 5: Man.
- 7:58Speaker 4: Is he talking about moderation and country music?
- 8:00Speaker 3: I think he's trying to.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Qik Luke Combs with the Big Show. It's Froggy John
- 8:06Speaker 2: and Meghan.
- 8:06Speaker 4: Good to be with you.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Megan John, I'm really so worried about you because I
- 8:11Speaker 1: know you're really good. I mean, heck, you charge your
- 8:13Speaker 1: phone once a quarter, so I know that you don't.
- 8:16Speaker 1: You don't have an issue with this, Megan. I'm at
- 8:18Speaker 1: one right now. Yeah, And he charges his phone in January. Megan,
- 8:24Speaker 1: do you have any app limits set on your phone.
- 8:27Speaker 4: Of any kind?
- 8:28Speaker 3: What does that mean?
- 8:29Speaker 1: So you can go on your phone actually and set
- 8:31Speaker 1: app limits where you can only be on Instagram or
- 8:34Speaker 1: TikTok or or Facebook or any app. I found out
- 8:38Speaker 1: they can be any app for so many minutes per day,
- 8:40Speaker 1: and then you've reached your time you have to You
- 8:43Speaker 1: can override it if you want to override it, but
- 8:45Speaker 1: it's a way of being aware of how how many
- 8:48Speaker 1: minutes you're spending on an app per day.
- 8:49Speaker 5: So you're like putting parental controls on yourself on your
- 8:53Speaker 5: own phone.
- 8:53Speaker 3: Yes, no, I'm not doing that.
- 8:56Speaker 4: Maybe you should. I'll tell you why.
- 8:59Speaker 1: I went on you yesterday and I set five minutes
- 9:03Speaker 1: as a parental limit on the Amazon app on my phone.
- 9:08Speaker 3: Oh no, for your household. To set your household in order.
- 9:13Speaker 1: So we'll stop spending stuff on Amazon, because I'm telling
- 9:16Speaker 1: you I get I get. I start on there, and
- 9:18Speaker 1: I'm like, oh I can get this, Oh what about that?
- 9:21Speaker 1: And then there's people who bought this, bought that, and
- 9:23Speaker 1: then there's these are suggested items. Before I know what,
- 9:25Speaker 1: I've been on Amazon for ten minutes. My cart's full,
- 9:27Speaker 1: and I am doom spending. I'm tired of spending all
- 9:31Speaker 1: this money. And I'm like, you know what, five minutes
- 9:33Speaker 1: a day is all I need on Amazon. I need
- 9:35Speaker 1: to go on there and get what I need and
- 9:36Speaker 1: get out.
- 9:37Speaker 5: That's a good point because my car says, like four
- 9:39Speaker 5: thousand dollars in the cart and it's stuff that's just
- 9:41Speaker 5: been sitting in there. And what if you accidentally click yeah, purchase,
- 9:45Speaker 5: I'd be a bad day.
- 9:47Speaker 3: I think Froggy's onto something that's a good idea.
- 9:49Speaker 1: And they, I know, they invented these limits for social
- 9:52Speaker 1: media for parental control. So if you want to you know,
- 9:55Speaker 1: you have children on the phone, you've got five minutes,
- 9:58Speaker 1: you've got ten minutes, fifteen minut today, you can use
- 10:01Speaker 1: that app and then once you're done. If it's parental
- 10:03Speaker 1: controls and it's set by somebody else, somebody else has
- 10:06Speaker 1: to override it. You can request time. But when it's
- 10:08Speaker 1: your own phone, you have to put in a code.
- 10:11Speaker 1: But it keeps you aware of how long you've been
- 10:13Speaker 1: on that day. And I'm just everybody's looking for ways
- 10:17Speaker 1: to save money.
- 10:18Speaker 4: Yep. I don't know if this will work, but it
- 10:21Speaker 4: can't hurt.
- 10:21Speaker 2: It's a good start. And Megan, what what you would
- 10:24Speaker 2: you want to know? And would you be shocked to
- 10:26Speaker 2: find out how much time you do spend on those things?
- 10:28Speaker 5: I know I spend way too much time, but I
- 10:31Speaker 5: feel like I would just start rapidly ordering things like
- 10:34Speaker 5: a faral like idiot. If I had a time limits
- 10:38Speaker 5: like you have, exactly like it was.
- 10:40Speaker 4: A gage shopping spree in my.
- 10:42Speaker 5: Credit card information as quick as I can, then I
- 10:44Speaker 5: would end up memorizing it so that I could be faster.
- 10:48Speaker 1: I would love to know if you have got parental
- 10:50Speaker 1: controls on your phone, whether it's for any app, any
- 10:53Speaker 1: app whatsoever, or what are ways you're kind of trying.
- 10:57Speaker 4: To well, come in it's the big show with Froggy
- 10:59Speaker 4: John and make it so John Megan, did you guys
- 11:02Speaker 4: see the news online yesterday?
- 11:04Speaker 5: Were you talking about a picture with the pizza and
- 11:06Speaker 5: a baby announcement?
- 11:08Speaker 1: That's exactly what I'm talking about. I love it. I
- 11:12Speaker 1: love it.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Katie Kendall, Katie who did the morning show with us
- 11:16Speaker 2: for a couple of years and then had her baby
- 11:19Speaker 2: and then did some weekend stuff with us.
- 11:22Speaker 4: She is going to have another baby. Yeah, they posted yesterday.
- 11:27Speaker 1: It's a picture of Luke holding their current child number one,
- 11:32Speaker 1: little baby Averley, and then Katie eating a piece of pizza,
- 11:36Speaker 1: pizza sitting in front of him, and it says baby
- 11:38Speaker 1: number two with a sonogram and it says one more
- 11:41Speaker 1: slice joining the family soon. Another pizza lover coming in October.
- 11:46Speaker 1: We couldn't be more excited, thankful for our beautiful little family.
- 11:50Speaker 1: I'll pray for us as we tackled two under two
- 11:52Speaker 1: for a little bit.
- 11:55Speaker 3: Exciting.
- 11:56Speaker 1: That is super excited for them. I texted Luke, Katie's husband,
- 12:01Speaker 1: and congratulated him. And we all know Luke. Luke always
- 12:06Speaker 1: has something funny to say. He said, hey, man, thanks
- 12:10Speaker 1: so much, appreciate you reaching out hashtag couldn't pull out
- 12:13Speaker 1: of a driveway.
- 12:14Speaker 5: Oh my gosh, that's hilarious.
- 12:18Speaker 4: By the way, that's perfectly Luke.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Katie has the sweetest absolutely thing and he goes as crassy.
- 12:27Speaker 2: That is so funny. When Katie told us the when
- 12:30Speaker 2: she was pregnant, the first time she brought a cake in,
- 12:34Speaker 2: she was like, hey, I got a cake.
- 12:35Speaker 4: I got a cake.
- 12:35Speaker 2: And so we's bringing a cake in and we're like, okay,
- 12:38Speaker 2: why are you bringing a cake in?
- 12:39Speaker 4: And the cake said ready for a new co host?
- 12:44Speaker 1: Oh right, and we all looked down and went Katie.
- 12:49Speaker 4: So they always do cute little ways of letting us know.
- 12:52Speaker 1: And John, if you remember the entire time she was pregnant.
- 12:54Speaker 1: The first time she's like, I'm not doing this again.
- 12:57Speaker 1: There's no way I'm doing this. You'd better be careful, girl.
- 13:01Speaker 2: I secretly told her after once, I said, you're going
- 13:03Speaker 2: to look at that baby. I'm gonna want ten more
- 13:07Speaker 2: and uh, I said, you're going to feel like as
- 13:09Speaker 2: a calling. She was ready to come back to work,
- 13:10Speaker 2: as you know with moms or you know, they think
- 13:14Speaker 2: they want to get back and then they have that
- 13:16Speaker 2: baby and go.
- 13:17Speaker 4: And I said, sometimes it's just a calling.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Uh. And I said that to her about that with
- 13:21Speaker 1: the baby, because she was planning on coming back. And
- 13:24Speaker 1: then she texted me a lot two weeks after the
- 13:27Speaker 1: baby was born and said it's a calling.
- 13:29Speaker 4: And it was then I knew she's not coming back.
- 13:31Speaker 4: Oh yeah, no.
- 13:32Speaker 1: So and it just seems like it really fits her well.
- 13:35Speaker 1: And I'm just so happy for them both.
- 13:37Speaker 4: That's so excited, super excited for them.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Baby number two on the way for Katie and Luke,
- 13:41Speaker 1: so prayers for them that all goes well. Yeah, it
- 13:43Speaker 1: looks like she's pretty far along because she's due in October.
- 13:47Speaker 1: So she's done a good job at keeping the secret.
- 13:49Speaker 4: Yes, wow, well done, impressive, well done. She has done
- 13:53Speaker 4: a good job of that.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Let's get a quick check, a thring you need to
- 13:56Speaker 1: know to get to through your Jacksonville.
- 13:57Speaker 4: Tuesday, Megan's three things, what's going on.
- 14:00Speaker 5: About some local baseball and send our congratulations to Saint
- 14:03Speaker 5: John's Camp a Country Day.
- 14:05Speaker 3: They won the.
- 14:06Speaker 5: Baseball state championship this weekend and both Trinity and Clay
- 14:11Speaker 5: will both be playing for the championship in their class.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Yeah, Trinity's got their final this afternoon and Clay County
- 14:18Speaker 2: is starting their Final four today. So we wish everybody
- 14:21Speaker 2: well still in the postseason.
- 14:22Speaker 3: That's awesome, making us proud.
- 14:24Speaker 5: Thursday, the Jazz Festival's kicking off downtown family friendly free event.
- 14:29Speaker 5: Really cool if you're in the areas dot by one
- 14:31Speaker 5: to four pm today. There's a job there at the
- 14:34Speaker 5: Harvey Resort in Saint Augustine for hospitality positions. You need
- 14:37Speaker 5: a little extra to ching in your pocket. Check that out.
- 14:40Speaker 5: It's three things you need to know, all right.
- 14:43Speaker 1: We have got tickets to go see Shine Down. It
- 14:45Speaker 1: is a sold out show, like it is every time
- 14:47Speaker 1: there in Jacksonville. You want to go, you gotta do
- 14:50Speaker 1: play the pop quiz with us looking for callers nine
- 14:52Speaker 1: and ten at nine eleven.
- 14:58Speaker 5: But first costco has introduced a new strawberry shortcake to
- 15:04Speaker 5: the food court.
- 15:05Speaker 3: And guess what's even better to ninety nine?
- 15:08Speaker 4: Now I like that price.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Yeah, we can order three of them. It goes with
- 15:15Speaker 1: that dollar fifty hut dog right, Yes. The favorite pizza
- 15:19Speaker 1: chains in America? You ready, all right?
- 15:21Speaker 4: Brace yourself? Favorite Pizza Chao top five, Marco's at number five.
- 15:24Speaker 1: Oh, Marcu's kind of surprising, but I do like Marco's
- 15:28Speaker 1: Little Caesars. Caesar's at number four, Pizza for It, Number
- 15:32Speaker 1: three's Papa John's, Okay, Number two's Dominoes, the m is Shaboozi,
- 15:40Speaker 1: and number one Pizza Hut coming in at number one
- 15:44Speaker 1: pizza chain in America.
- 15:45Speaker 4: Strong.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Have you seen this dude who's buying old pizza huts.
- 15:49Speaker 2: This guy is buying pizza huts and revitalizing them. He
- 15:52Speaker 2: wants to get families together again, so he's bringing back
- 15:55Speaker 2: retro old pizza huts and he's refurbishing them with the
- 15:58Speaker 2: old chandeliers that the stained glass chandeliers, and better have
- 16:03Speaker 2: the red cups. He's bringing red cups back. Okay, have
- 16:06Speaker 2: the red cups. Even pac Man, he's bringing pack Man,
- 16:10Speaker 2: so he wants it to be a great family place
- 16:12Speaker 2: to go, So I wish him all the best.
- 16:14Speaker 5: On that that sounds like this new man cave trend
- 16:17Speaker 5: where these guys are building in their basements a pizza
- 16:20Speaker 5: hut corner with the chandelier with the cubs.
- 16:23Speaker 3: Are you talking about? Yeah?
- 16:25Speaker 2: Well, finally pot Belly Sandwich Works, known for it's toasted
- 16:28Speaker 2: me to order sandwiches, handscooped milkshakes and other scratch made
- 16:32Speaker 2: food now open in Jacksonville. We have known for two
- 16:35Speaker 2: years pot Bellies was coming and it's finally open. It
- 16:39Speaker 2: is there Old Bay Meadows Road, the public's anchored Deerwood
- 16:42Speaker 2: Village where they just built the new publics and pot
- 16:45Speaker 2: Bellies is there.
- 16:47Speaker 4: We must go try.
- 16:49Speaker 3: Yes, Oh that's what I'm talking about. I'm hungry.
- 16:51Speaker 4: Now bring it on. Peat up.
- 16:58Speaker 3: Whatever you can find.
- 17:00Speaker 5: Sometimes I use the eyebrow scissors for a little trimp
- 17:03Speaker 5: because they're sharp.
- 17:05Speaker 2: You know how the pop quiz works. The first contestant
- 17:08Speaker 2: guess is the number to the question. The second says
- 17:09Speaker 2: higher or lower. If we need a tiebreaker, we'll ask
- 17:12Speaker 2: a toss up question either contestant can answer. Krista in Middleburg,
- 17:15Speaker 2: we start with you, he's been a hit maker for
- 17:18Speaker 2: many years now, I mean the time has flown by,
- 17:21Speaker 2: but he just keeps putting out hit records. Dustin Lynch.
- 17:24Speaker 2: How old is Dustin Lynch?
- 17:26Speaker 1: Christ Oh goodness, I'm not familiar, but I'm gonna say
- 17:31Speaker 1: thirty nine.
- 17:32Speaker 4: Sue. Is he older or younger than thirty nine? I'm
- 17:35Speaker 4: gonna say younger.
- 17:37Speaker 2: He is just a little older, Christopher. Not knowing exactly,
- 17:41Speaker 2: you did a great job. He's forty one years old.
- 17:42Speaker 2: Forty one years old. So Christa, thanks, you get that point, great, guess. Yeah, Sue,
- 17:49Speaker 2: this is yours first. This is a survey, or actually
- 17:53Speaker 2: just a statistic. What as of like this year, what
- 17:56Speaker 2: percentage of American households own a video or bell camera?
- 18:01Speaker 4: Oh? Christa, is that number high or lower? I'm gonna
- 18:08Speaker 4: say higher.
- 18:09Speaker 2: You know it's actually lower forty five percent? WHOA, not
- 18:13Speaker 2: a halfway yet, but almost there. But that ties things
- 18:16Speaker 2: up right now. So we got it's a tiebreaker, all right.
- 18:20Speaker 4: Here we go.
- 18:21Speaker 2: If you know the answer to this question, shout your name.
- 18:24Speaker 2: I will give a multiple choice, but if you know it,
- 18:27Speaker 2: dive right in.
- 18:27Speaker 4: Here we go.
- 18:29Speaker 2: State capitals. What's the state capital of Alaska?
- 18:34Speaker 1: Sue? Sue jump in it's Juno.
- 18:39Speaker 5: Whoa, she knew she knows you know, Krista, thank you
- 18:44Speaker 5: for playing, but soon knew her state capitals.
- 18:46Speaker 4: Today, Oh so much.
- 18:48Speaker 3: Congratulations, Thanks Krista, thank you.
- 18:50Speaker 4: Let's have every one. Sue, look at you there. You
- 18:54Speaker 4: do well.
- 18:55Speaker 3: If you do that.
- 18:56Speaker 6: Well, I'll tell you what as a teacher, if I
- 18:58Speaker 6: missed that one, I should be shot.
- 19:00Speaker 3: Oh I know we had a teacher play in the ball.
- 19:04Speaker 2: It paid off, Sue. All those years of training and teaching,
- 19:07Speaker 2: it paid off. Para tickets to go, sybody, q IK,
- 19:10Speaker 2: hope you're doing well. We really appreciate you taking us
- 19:13Speaker 2: with you the big Show with Froggy, John and Megan.
- 19:16Speaker 4: All right, to John, this.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Kind of thing that I'm reading here, it won't really
- 19:20Speaker 1: apply to you and I, but it will apply to
- 19:23Speaker 1: Megan because she did just start a new job. John,
- 19:26Speaker 1: how long has it been since you had a first day.
- 19:28Speaker 4: On a new job? Thirty six years? Correct? I'm like
- 19:32Speaker 4: in years Rouget's been thirty thirty one, thirty two.
- 19:36Speaker 1: I mean, I've been new places, but still doing the
- 19:39Speaker 1: same job at the same company. But I've been in
- 19:41Speaker 1: different places. I know you've been there in Jacksonville, for
- 19:43Speaker 1: thirty long.
- 19:45Speaker 4: Have you been here?
- 19:46Speaker 2: Now, I've been in I've been Jacksonville Radio for forty
- 19:48Speaker 2: two and thirty six here at QIK and this chair
- 19:51Speaker 2: thirty six years.
- 19:52Speaker 1: Right, so I came to Jacksonville seven years ago, years ago.
- 19:57Speaker 1: You've been here seven years? Yeah, yeah, that was almost
- 19:59Speaker 1: a first statement. There was still the same companies, still
- 20:01Speaker 1: doing the same thing. But Megan, she came here new
- 20:04Speaker 1: start back in November.
- 20:06Speaker 3: So yeah.
- 20:06Speaker 1: There's a study out now that says things you should
- 20:09Speaker 1: do to make a the best first impression at your
- 20:13Speaker 1: first week on new job. See here's the things you
- 20:15Speaker 1: should do starting a new job or thinking about it.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Number one, say hello to all of your coworkers.
- 20:21Speaker 4: First.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Introducing yourself to your coworkers right away makes the office
- 20:26Speaker 1: feel a lot less intimidating.
- 20:28Speaker 3: It's true.
- 20:29Speaker 2: You take a little tour around the building and you
- 20:31Speaker 2: you're very kind to everyone, and.
- 20:33Speaker 5: Then when you first see these people a couple of
- 20:35Speaker 5: times you got to say hi to You want to
- 20:38Speaker 5: be nice, but also you have a ton of new
- 20:41Speaker 5: people and your brain and a lot of names, and
- 20:45Speaker 5: you gotta lock them in, all right.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Number two, focus on your abilities, not your appearance.
- 20:54Speaker 3: I don't agree with that.
- 20:56Speaker 4: You don't know.
- 20:57Speaker 3: I think when you know, you got to do both.
- 21:00Speaker 5: And I think that you really like, you know, when
- 21:03Speaker 5: you've got a new person that comes in, if you
- 21:05Speaker 5: notice the first like two.
- 21:06Speaker 3: Weeks, they're real put together. I had my hair done.
- 21:10Speaker 5: I did not have natural curls flying, because that's how
- 21:17Speaker 5: everyone will see you for the rest of your time there.
- 21:20Speaker 1: So you gotta look like you care, all right, and
- 21:23Speaker 1: he's a free give yourself a little grace. Nobody nails
- 21:27Speaker 1: a job immediately. It's gonna take some ramp up time.
- 21:30Speaker 1: And says that the new place you're working, they understand that.
- 21:34Speaker 1: They know that right off the bat, you will knock
- 21:36Speaker 1: it out of the park. Give yourself a little grace,
- 21:38Speaker 1: and don't freak out if things don't go amazing on
- 21:40Speaker 1: day one, day two, day three.
- 21:42Speaker 3: I like that.
- 21:43Speaker 4: That's really nice.
- 21:44Speaker 2: But you know the only problem with you doing here
- 21:47Speaker 2: in radio is that you're freaking out and or you're
- 21:50Speaker 2: stumbling in whatever in front of tens of thousands of people.
- 21:52Speaker 5: Yeah right, yeah, But it's a lot easier to freak
- 21:55Speaker 5: out here than another place because we can break out
- 21:58Speaker 5: and still be like goodness morning, Yes.
- 22:02Speaker 1: I'm just having fun here on the radio. Yeah, so
- 22:06Speaker 1: there you goes. So Meghan, you nailed it your first
- 22:08Speaker 1: week here, but a new job today. Keep that in mind.
- 22:12Speaker 1: Say hello to your coworkers. Focus on your abilities, and
- 22:15Speaker 1: you want to dress dress for the job, but focus
- 22:18Speaker 1: on your abilities, not just your appearance, and give yourself
- 22:20Speaker 1: a little grace. You're not going to get it right
- 22:22Speaker 1: right out of the box. Everybody messes up a little
- 22:24Speaker 1: bit here and there.
- 22:25Speaker 4: Now it's taking me thirty six years and I'm still
- 22:27Speaker 4: hopefully better tomorrow.
- 22:28Speaker 1: Right exactly every day I'm with you. Meghan's three things
- 22:32Speaker 1: you need to know to get you through your Jack's Tuesday.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Megan's been nailing three things since today she got here.
- 22:38Speaker 5: Well, there's been a couple of times I've forgotten how
- 22:41Speaker 5: to talk, So maybe I can do good jobs.
- 22:44Speaker 4: And one wasn't in Jacksonville, Florida. But that was a
- 22:46Speaker 4: different That was an old story.
- 22:47Speaker 3: That was we should talk about.
- 22:49Speaker 4: That was Jacksonville, Oregon.
- 22:53Speaker 5: Hey, I'm trying, You're right. All a girl could do
- 22:56Speaker 5: is try. At least I'm not getting arrested. Like these
- 22:59Speaker 5: two Americans that were in Japan. They wanted to see
- 23:02Speaker 5: punch the monkey, you know that viral monkey.
- 23:05Speaker 3: Froggy's wife loves.
- 23:06Speaker 5: Punch, and so did these guys so much so they
- 23:09Speaker 5: climbed into the enclosure wearing a costume that was one
- 23:12Speaker 5: of those giant sunglasses emojis, but like a mascot outfit.
- 23:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:17Speaker 5: So they got booked and checked into Japanese jail.
- 23:21Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, do we know what state they're from,
- 23:23Speaker 2: because if they're not from here, they're honorary.
- 23:29Speaker 3: No kidding.
- 23:30Speaker 5: Thursday of the jazz festivals kicking off downtown, family friendly
- 23:34Speaker 5: and free. Really doesn't get that much better than that.
- 23:37Speaker 5: One to four pm today. There's a job there at

- 25:50Speaker 2: Froggy John Omeghan in Country ninety nine one w Q.
- 25:53Speaker 1: I K alright, see you guys know that I'm already
- 25:55Speaker 1: strange like that definitely is and that's a that's a
- 25:58Speaker 1: known fact why we love you.
- 25:59Speaker 4: Yes, So yesterday I did.
- 26:01Speaker 1: Yesterday I was at a store and I saw this
- 26:05Speaker 1: little boy run up to this woman who I guess
- 26:09Speaker 1: they hadn't seen sometime, and.
- 26:10Speaker 4: She said, my, you've gotten so big, and she went
- 26:15Speaker 4: to like hug him and everything else.
- 26:16Speaker 1: And it crossed my mind, at what age is it
- 26:20Speaker 1: no longer appropriate to tell somebody they've gotten so big?
- 26:24Speaker 1: Like if you don't see a sixteen year old for
- 26:28Speaker 1: like five years, you don't say to them, wow, you've
- 26:31Speaker 1: gotten so big all of a sudden, it changes.
- 26:34Speaker 4: Yes, if it's a girl, it's a totally different thing too.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Yeah, h wow, what's gotten so big? You fill out nice? No,
- 26:41Speaker 1: you can't say that, So what what is the cutoff?
- 26:45Speaker 1: Probably preteen, I don't know. I know people did that
- 26:48Speaker 1: to me when I had a gross burt as a teenager. Yeah,
- 26:51Speaker 1: and they were like, oh my gosh, what are you?
- 26:53Speaker 1: What are you six feet tall?
- 26:54Speaker 4: Now? So I don't know.
- 26:56Speaker 5: I think eight really eight yep, because I remember being
- 27:00Speaker 5: ten and someone saying that and then they told me
- 27:03Speaker 5: I was fatal and I wasn't fat. So I'm like, uh,
- 27:09Speaker 5: that kind of that kind of out.
- 27:12Speaker 2: Psyched you a little bit? Did I would say preteen? Probably? Yeah,
- 27:18Speaker 2: unless you really know somebody.
- 27:19Speaker 1: Yeah, wow, you've gotten so uh yeah, you feel I
- 27:22Speaker 1: love the I love the term filled out?
- 27:24Speaker 4: You you filled out? Well? Yes, it's like, wait a second.
- 27:28Speaker 2: Is that a youphemism for saying I'm big big bow?
- 27:31Speaker 1: Right?
- 27:32Speaker 5: It feels like bless your heart? You know what you
- 27:34Speaker 5: really want to tell me?
- 27:36Speaker 4: There's nothing good after bless your heart.
- 27:38Speaker 1: No, there's nothing that's going to make you feel good anyway,
- 27:41Speaker 1: no good intention at all either. My grandma was like that,
- 27:44Speaker 1: bless her heart, but she's just not a pretty girl.
- 27:47Speaker 4: I'm like, Grandma, you can't say that.
- 27:50Speaker 2: That's my that's my my grandmother, the sweetest lady I
- 27:52Speaker 2: think I've ever met, said that girl uglier in the
- 27:55Speaker 2: burnt fence.
- 27:57Speaker 4: Grandma, I can't believe you said that about her. My
- 28:01Speaker 4: granddad used to say she'd make a freight train, take
- 28:04Speaker 4: a dirt road. Yes, oh wow.
- 28:06Speaker 1: The brutality out here on the street, but it was
- 28:09Speaker 1: all prefaced by bless their heart, so he ran.
- 28:13Speaker 4: Yeah in the South. It's okay.
- 28:14Speaker 1: Exactly three things you need to know for your Jacksonville Tuesday.
- 28:19Speaker 4: What is going on, Megan?
- 28:20Speaker 5: The job fair happening at Guy Harvey Resort in Saint
- 28:23Speaker 5: Augustine for hospitality positions if you're looking for a new gig. Thursday,
- 28:27Speaker 5: the Jazz Festival is kicking off downtown, and I want

- 29:01Speaker 5: in our studio.
- 29:02Speaker 3: Had no idea who they were.
- 29:04Speaker 5: It was just talking told like an old pal, like
- 29:06Speaker 5: as if they're about these huge rug stars.
