Speaker 2: Well, welcome to Reflections on the Word. It is our

Speaker 2: pleasure to be able to speak to you today. In

Speaker 2: regards to our study of the nine Gifts of the
1:37
Speaker 2: Holy Spirit, we have been looking at the Apostle Paul's
1:43
Speaker 2: message in the Letter to the Church at Corinth found
1:47
Speaker 2: in First Corinthians, chapter twelve and verses seven through eleven, reading,
1:52
Speaker 2: but the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each
1:56
Speaker 2: one for the profit of all four to one is
2:00
Speaker 2: given the Word of wisdom through the Spirit to another,
2:03
Speaker 2: the Word of knowledge through the same spirit to another,
2:07
Speaker 2: Faith by the same spirit to another, gifts of healings
2:12
Speaker 2: by the same spirit to another, the working of miracles
2:17
Speaker 2: to another, prophecy to another, discerning of spirits and to another,
2:22
Speaker 2: different kinds of tongues to another, the interpretation of tongues.

Speaker 2: But one and the same Spirit works all these things,
2:31
Speaker 2: distributing to each one individually as he wills. We have
2:38
Speaker 2: been looking at the types of gifts and their uses
2:44
Speaker 2: in the Body of Christ today. As we have been studying,
2:49
Speaker 2: we have looked at the gifts that are already mentioned
2:55
Speaker 2: in the earlier part of the passage, the gift of
2:58
Speaker 2: the Word of wisdom and the gift of the Word
3:00
Speaker 2: of Knowledge. And we also did mention how the operation
3:06
Speaker 2: of the gift of faith imparts certain means of being
3:10
Speaker 2: able to help apply those gifts as the Holy Spirit directs.

Speaker 2: We are now coming to an area where it is
3:22
Speaker 2: important for us to understand that all of these gifts,

Speaker 2: as the Scripture says, are given by the Holy Spirit
3:31
Speaker 2: for the profit of all, and the gifts of healings

Speaker 2: are numerous, and what we want to be able to
3:39
Speaker 2: do is to look as the Great Commission offers us
3:43
Speaker 2: the credible evidence that we are to go to save,
3:49
Speaker 2: to heal, to deliver, and disciple all nations. And that
3:56
Speaker 2: is a great portion of the gift gifts of the
4:01
Speaker 2: Holy Spirit. And one of the things that Jesus is
4:05
Speaker 2: wanting all of us to do for him is to
4:09
Speaker 2: pray for the sick. When we do, many of the
4:14
Speaker 2: times they will recover, which means that He is going
4:18
Speaker 2: to heal them. So it should come as no surprise
4:22
Speaker 2: that we have the gift of healings as one of
4:26
Speaker 2: the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit. And what this
4:29
Speaker 2: means is that at any time, the Holy Spirit can
4:32
Speaker 2: manifest this special gift through any believer, so he then
4:39
Speaker 2: heals someone of any kind of disease, illness, or sickness.

Speaker 2: You do not have to have the gift of healing
4:47
Speaker 2: as any kind of a full time ministry or to
4:51
Speaker 2: be able to have the Holy Spirit do this through you. Again,
4:55
Speaker 2: this can literally happen to any single believer at any
4:59
Speaker 2: time with Lord as such, this is another gift that

Speaker 2: you will definitely want to try and stir up with
5:09
Speaker 2: the Lord because there are just so many people who
5:13
Speaker 2: need some kind of healing due to the fact that
5:17
Speaker 2: we still have to deal with all kinds of diseases, sicknesses,
5:21
Speaker 2: and illnesses on a regular basis as a result of
5:25
Speaker 2: the endemic curse that is still in full operation on
5:30
Speaker 2: this earth. Not only can the Holy Spirit directly heal
5:36
Speaker 2: you or can use you to heal someone else through
5:42
Speaker 2: your own personal prayers to the Lord, but he can
5:45
Speaker 2: also use you as an anointed vessel to manifest his
5:48
Speaker 2: healing power. Though, he will use you to help heal
5:54
Speaker 2: someone else if you will only have the courage to
5:59
Speaker 2: speak out what he wants you to say to that person,

Speaker 2: and then you may lay hands on that person for
6:06
Speaker 2: the healing power to be transmitted into their body to
6:10
Speaker 2: the affected body part that will need the healing. Also,
6:15
Speaker 2: notice that the wording being used in the scriptural verse
6:20
Speaker 2: is that this is the gifts of healings. The word
6:24
Speaker 2: gifts is plural, which means there are different kinds of
6:28
Speaker 2: healings the Lord wants to do. What people who walk
6:33
Speaker 2: with this kind of annoying on a regular basis have
6:36
Speaker 2: found is that some people will be more gifted and
6:40
Speaker 2: anointed in some areas than they will be in others.
6:44
Speaker 2: For instance, some people may have more success with healing
6:49
Speaker 2: back cases, where another may have a stronger annoying to
6:53
Speaker 2: heal cancer. In other words, the Lord will sometimes specialize
6:59
Speaker 2: on the kinds of healings he will want to do

Speaker 2: through an individual believer. Your part is just to tell
7:08
Speaker 2: the Lord that you would like to have a big
7:11
Speaker 2: part in this special gift, and then let him decide
7:15
Speaker 2: as to how he will want to use you in
7:18
Speaker 2: this area and what areas you will be stronger in
7:22
Speaker 2: than perhaps other areas. We will also be able to
7:26
Speaker 2: concentrate in further study on many of the scriptural passages
7:33
Speaker 2: that will give proof and evidence that healing is for
7:38
Speaker 2: the body of Christ and for those who seek healing today.

Speaker 2: This is something that we want to be able to
7:46
Speaker 2: bring into personal testimony. We want to be able to
7:50
Speaker 2: look at how is it that we can perform the
7:57
Speaker 2: same gifts and and those healings that the Holy Spirit

Speaker 2: chooses to use us today to perform. Now, we are
8:09
Speaker 2: blessed today to have with us a very special guest.

Speaker 2: His name is Pastor Mikhayel Ashiko, and I have met
8:22
Speaker 2: this man and I personally had a experience with him
8:27
Speaker 2: not only in prayer but also a manifestation of the
8:32
Speaker 2: gift of healing used in my own experience with him.

Speaker 2: And the only reason I'm sharing this is I want
8:39
Speaker 2: you to know the background of the man, and as
8:45
Speaker 2: we will continue conversation with Pastor Ashiko, I want to
8:50
Speaker 2: be able to let you know a little bit about him.

Speaker 2: He's a teacher and a preacher of the Word. He
8:55
Speaker 2: teaches and preaches in simplicity with miracles, healings and wonders following.

Speaker 2: He's a revivalist with a burning desire to see a
9:05
Speaker 2: genuine revival sweep through the body of Christ with unquenchable
9:10
Speaker 2: fire of holiness. Mikhael and his wife Joy Faith are

Speaker 2: currently the senior pastors of Miracle and Revival Center in
9:19
Speaker 2: Virginia Beach, Virginia. They have pioneered two other churches in Uganda,

Speaker 2: the country of their birth, before becoming missionaries from the
9:29
Speaker 2: United Kingdom to the United States of America, where they
9:33
Speaker 2: have been since two thousand and four. I would like

Speaker 2: to give a warm welcome to Pastor Mikhayel Oshiko. Thank

Speaker 2: you so much for being with us today. Mikhayel, if

Speaker 2: it is possible and proper, let us talk a little
9:54
Speaker 2: bit about your experiences either in the the earlier stages

Speaker 2: of your ministry, as well as how the Lord is
10:04
Speaker 2: using you and certainly your wife and others that you
10:08
Speaker 2: have trained to function and operate in the gifts of
10:13
Speaker 2: the Holy Spirit.

Speaker 3: Thank you, Richard. Well, God has been so good and
10:22
Speaker 3: I've been training us to look for it in the
10:25
Speaker 3: gift of healing. And at the early stages we saw
10:31
Speaker 3: through we saw so many things that were not We
10:35
Speaker 3: were not seeing results, but we had to press on.
10:39
Speaker 3: And I remember one day I was back in England
10:45
Speaker 3: and I was sleeping. I was already here, but I'd
10:47
Speaker 3: gone back to England and I was sleeping, and I
10:49
Speaker 3: had a dream and got my landlord here in the US.
10:53
Speaker 3: And in the dream, I saw his house. I've never
10:57
Speaker 3: been to his house before. I saw his house so
11:00
Speaker 3: that he was sick in his body. He had a
11:02
Speaker 3: heart condition in this dream, And so I shared a
11:06
Speaker 3: dream with my wife. It so happened that we came
11:09
Speaker 3: back here and we met him. And as soon as
11:14
Speaker 3: my wife saw him, he was working with a cylinder
11:18
Speaker 3: of oxygen for breathing. As soon as my wife saw him,
11:23
Speaker 3: she remembered the dream that I shared with her. I
11:26
Speaker 3: had forgotten the dream. So when I shared with him
11:29
Speaker 3: the dream, he realized that I had been to his
11:33
Speaker 3: house in the spirit. I described the exact way his
11:37
Speaker 3: house was. I had not been there, and so we
11:39
Speaker 3: prayed with him and God healed him instantly of a
11:42
Speaker 3: heart condition. So that was when we had just come
11:46
Speaker 3: to the United States. That was one of the miracles
11:50
Speaker 3: that God did. Well.
11:52
Speaker 2: That is an amazing account. And you mentioned that you
11:57
Speaker 2: had this revelation in a dream, as if you had
12:02
Speaker 2: actually already been in this particular individual's home.

Speaker 3: So when you.
12:08
Speaker 2: Arrived there, you already had a revelation knowledge of what
12:13
Speaker 2: you would be facing. Yes, have you found, pastor Mikaile,

Speaker 2: have you found that the gifts of the Holy Spirit
12:23
Speaker 2: work in many ways in conjunction with each other to
12:28
Speaker 2: accomplish God's directed result such as healings. In some cases
12:35
Speaker 2: are manifested miraculously. In other cases they require a time
12:41
Speaker 2: or process of recovery. Have you experienced that?
12:46
Speaker 3: Yes? One example, one time I was in Africa, Giuganda,
12:51
Speaker 3: the church we have there, and a mother brought me
12:54
Speaker 3: a baby that was born without ice.
12:58
Speaker 2: And so now did you say born without eyes?

Speaker 3: Yeah, the baby was born without eyes the place of
13:05
Speaker 3: the eyes.
13:05
Speaker 2: Was just a smooth skin, so there was no eye
13:09
Speaker 2: in place. It was just covered over with skin.
13:12
Speaker 3: Yes, there was no eyes at all, It's just the skin.
13:17
Speaker 3: So we prayed. At first. I was myself afraid because
13:21
Speaker 3: I've never seen anything like that. So we prayed. The
13:24
Speaker 3: first night, there was nothing visible happened. The man came back.
13:27
Speaker 3: The second night we prayed. The second night, nothing visible happened,
13:31
Speaker 3: and the third night, nothing visibile happened. It was on
13:34
Speaker 3: the fourth night that a small crack opened up and
13:38
Speaker 3: little eyebrows that is popping out. That's when my faith
13:41
Speaker 3: kicked it. It was a process of prayer. It took time,
13:45
Speaker 3: and so after the fourth day we prayed for about
13:48
Speaker 3: another four days before the eyes became real size of
13:52
Speaker 3: the eyes of a baby. So that was what we
13:55
Speaker 3: call a creative miracles.
13:57
Speaker 2: Absolutely, praise God. So was the baby, or that particular
14:03
Speaker 2: incident was the eyesight. When the eyes were opened, the
14:09
Speaker 2: baby was able to see and there was no deficiency
14:12
Speaker 2: at all, not at all. That must have really converted
14:16
Speaker 2: a lot of people in that village.
14:19
Speaker 3: The first person to get converted was the father of
14:22
Speaker 3: the baby, who was not a believer. Wow.
14:25
Speaker 2: So God uses those giftings so that he can prove
14:32
Speaker 2: his power, his reality in a way that draws people
14:38
Speaker 2: to him. And yes, where we have seen in other
14:43
Speaker 2: cases that there have been those people who would say
14:49
Speaker 2: that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are not all
14:57
Speaker 2: functioning today. And I know from just reading the same
15:03
Speaker 2: scripture that is in sort of the headline of your
15:08
Speaker 2: website and ministry in Hebrews thirteen eight that Jesus Christ
15:12
Speaker 2: is the same yesterday, today and forever. And I know
15:16
Speaker 2: that you live that in the power of the spirit. Well,
15:19
Speaker 2: let me ask you a few more questions, if I may,
15:23
Speaker 2: pastor Michiel. One, is are there specific areas that you
15:28
Speaker 2: have found that God uses you through the gifts of
15:33
Speaker 2: healing where you focus on where He directs you, but
15:39
Speaker 2: in specific areas such as we read earlier that there
15:43
Speaker 2: are in some cases people that are more I won't
15:48
Speaker 2: say successful, that's not the right term, but they're more
15:53
Speaker 2: focused within a specific area of healing. Maybe it's backs,
15:58
Speaker 2: or maybe it is something to do with the spinal column. Whatever.

Speaker 2: Have you found that God has directed you more so
16:06
Speaker 2: in specific areas or is it just generally as he
16:11
Speaker 2: reveals such as you mentioned about the miraculous reproduction of
16:16
Speaker 2: the eyes for this baby.

Speaker 3: Well, generally I find that God uses me as he chooses,
16:24
Speaker 3: But there is one area that I found that my
16:27
Speaker 3: attention is drawn to it so often is it doesn't
16:33
Speaker 3: matter where I am, I can recognize who has had
16:36
Speaker 3: a problem.
16:37
Speaker 2: With the hear So may I interject Pastor Michil. When
16:43
Speaker 2: I was speaking earlier about my experience with you, it
16:47
Speaker 2: was specifically with hearing, and I want to let the
16:51
Speaker 2: audience know that a little over, well it should be
16:57
Speaker 2: close to two years, but not quite that I was
17:01
Speaker 2: diagnosed with a certain loss of hearing, and because of
17:05
Speaker 2: that I was able to get hearing aids, which certainly
17:11
Speaker 2: enabled me to be able to hear much better, although
17:16
Speaker 2: in some ways there were differences in tones and volumes
17:20
Speaker 2: that needed to be adjusted. But regardless, I wore those
17:24
Speaker 2: hearing aids for approximately a year, maybe a little over
17:30
Speaker 2: a year, and there was no really noticeable change other
17:38
Speaker 2: than when I removed the hearing aids, my hearing was
17:41
Speaker 2: just not the same as it was with them. And
17:46
Speaker 2: so what I'm sharing with our audience and also for
17:50
Speaker 2: your means of being able to capitalize, if you will
17:54
Speaker 2: on the way that the Lord uses you in that
17:56
Speaker 2: particular area. We were in a restaurant and we had
18:02
Speaker 2: met and we were just having fellowship, and then we
18:04
Speaker 2: closed in prayer. And there were just at that time
18:08
Speaker 2: three of us that were together, you and one other gentleman,
18:14
Speaker 2: and we were also joined by somebody else, as you recall,
18:18
Speaker 2: that wanted to pray with us. That was just a
18:21
Speaker 2: patron of the restaurant. And so there actually were four
18:24
Speaker 2: of us, and perhaps even more even though the fourth
18:28
Speaker 2: gentleman joined us, and we had that time of prayer,
18:31
Speaker 2: and I was getting ready to leave, and you mentioned
18:36
Speaker 2: something in regards to the way the Lord revealed to
18:40
Speaker 2: you about healing those people that have hearing loss or deficiencies.
18:46
Speaker 2: So can you illustrate for us how that took place
18:50
Speaker 2: when you were able to know? In my case, I mean,
18:55
Speaker 2: it was obvious I was wearing hearing aids. But I
18:58
Speaker 2: think that the Lord hearted something to you at that
19:03
Speaker 2: moment that he wanted to do something for me.
19:09
Speaker 3: Well, of course, the obvious reason was just the hearing
19:13
Speaker 3: age that I saw. And of course whenever I see
19:16
Speaker 3: a hearing age, I always approached the people. It doesn't
19:20
Speaker 3: matter where I am. One time I was on at
19:24
Speaker 3: the airport at Charlotte, North Carolina. I approached the gentleman
19:28
Speaker 3: who was wearing earing age, but he did not allow
19:31
Speaker 3: me to pray for him. So yes, and so the
19:34
Speaker 3: lodgers drew my attention to the earing age that you had,
19:38
Speaker 3: and so I asked you if you didn't mind so
19:41
Speaker 3: that we could pray with you, and you graciously accepted,
19:44
Speaker 3: and we prayed, and after that you removed the earing
19:48
Speaker 3: age and you left.
19:50
Speaker 2: And since that time I can share with you my
19:54
Speaker 2: own personal experience that I have not had to wear
19:59
Speaker 2: hearing ag aids since that particular occurrence where the Lord

Speaker 2: graciously honored the knowledge and the use of the gifts
20:11
Speaker 2: of healings that were manifested through Pastor Michiel. And so, folks,

Speaker 2: I want you to know this is really something today
20:23
Speaker 2: that makes a mighty difference in our walk with the Lord.

Speaker 2: This is not a toy. It's not something that we
20:30
Speaker 2: can just go around and demonstrate so that other people
20:36
Speaker 2: are drawn to us or they are to gain our attention.

Speaker 2: But as the Lord wills, he draws people into our
20:46
Speaker 2: particular circumstances that he can use us, and the end
20:52
Speaker 2: result is that he receives the glory, and in many
20:56
Speaker 2: cases those people that are perhaps not believers become believers,

Speaker 2: just as Mikail mentioned the man who was the father
21:07
Speaker 2: of the child that received miraculous eyes where they were
21:13
Speaker 2: born without them, and that converted the father to receive Jesus.
