- 0:10Speaker 1: Winter Insurance.
- 0:14Speaker 2: I'm a check.
- 0:17Speaker 3: The Hey, everybody, welcome to Conspiracy the Show.
- 0:34Speaker 2: I'm Adam Todd Brown. Who are you.
- 0:36Speaker 1: I'm Olivia Hidar.
- 0:38Speaker 2: And we are your damn hosts. Olivia. How excited are
- 0:43Speaker 2: you for this week's topic?
- 0:46Speaker 1: Oh, I'm so damn excited. I am. I'm just like
- 0:49Speaker 1: over the moon about watching this wonderful thing that exists.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Yeah, we're covering the My Pillow Guy documentary, as I
- 0:59Speaker 2: have taken to calling it. I think it's called that
- 1:01Speaker 2: absolute proof.
- 1:03Speaker 1: We should specify we are watching the first of three
- 1:08Speaker 1: My Pillow Guy documentaries that were released in the last
- 1:12Speaker 1: five months. So that's that's the one we're watching. If
- 1:16Speaker 1: you want to watch along at home.
- 1:17Speaker 2: That's a lot. But also he has a very loose
- 1:20Speaker 2: definition of the term documentary.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Oh oh, that's for damn sure.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Yes, And I should mention we've done a lot of
- 1:29Speaker 2: episodes lately, just covering like documentaries and TV shows. And
- 1:33Speaker 2: I should explain I in the past month have gotten
- 1:37Speaker 2: married and.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Oh hey, congrats.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Also am moving this month, so my research time is
- 1:44Speaker 2: a little limited. After I move and get settled, we'll
- 1:47Speaker 2: get back to things that aren't But I mean also
- 1:51Speaker 2: when we do stuff like this, you can just go
- 1:53Speaker 2: watch the source material and it's only going to take
- 1:56Speaker 2: you two hours. You want to go read that Jonestown
- 1:58Speaker 2: book that I did, not episodes about good Luck. It's
- 2:02Speaker 2: like reading the fucking Patriot Act. It's so long.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Yeah, I dare you to watch this thing instead of
- 2:09Speaker 1: listening to us good Luck.
- 2:11Speaker 2: I dare you to even find it by googling. That
- 2:15Speaker 2: was a chore. And we're going to talk about that part.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:19Speaker 2: If there's any any part of this that I kind
- 2:23Speaker 2: of agree with, it's the complaints about stuff getting buried. Granted,
- 2:28Speaker 2: this is a thing that's getting buried that will probably
- 2:31Speaker 2: erode our democracy completely someday. So I'm kind of alright
- 2:36Speaker 2: with this being buried from public view.
- 2:38Speaker 1: It's like, you know, you gotta bury a corpse, yeah,
- 2:42Speaker 1: or else is kind of steak up the place. Yeah,
- 2:44Speaker 1: some things you just gotta bury.
- 2:46Speaker 2: You just gotta hie them away.
- 2:48Speaker 1: I will say, yeah, you you had to do some
- 2:51Speaker 1: crazy searching to find a place where you can watch this,
- 2:54Speaker 1: and boy did you find a place that is.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Uh Oh, I've weird, weird. I've been way too scared
- 3:04Speaker 2: to venture out more onto that such.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Yeah, very strange. I have not done much venturing myself
- 3:12Speaker 1: because I don't want to get put on any more
- 3:15Speaker 1: watch lists that I'm already on. It's called rumble, Yeah, rumble.
- 3:20Speaker 1: It's it seems to be some sort of right wing
- 3:23Speaker 1: file sharing.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm sure we're both on a Trump mailing list.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Yeah, Jesus, that might explain some of the weirdest texts
- 3:30Speaker 1: I've gotten today. But yeah, no, this thing fucking sucked ass.
- 3:36Speaker 1: I just want to say that upfront. And I've said
- 3:39Speaker 1: this a couple of times when it comes to things
- 3:42Speaker 1: that we've watched on this show, but I think, for real,
- 3:46Speaker 1: this might be the worst thing I've watched for this show.
- 3:50Speaker 2: It's very frustrating, that's for sure. Mike Lindell has a
- 3:54Speaker 2: loose definition of the word documentary. For one thing, this
- 3:58Speaker 2: is like a two hour talk show. It's a documentary.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Yeah. It is like other right wing crackpot videos that
- 4:06Speaker 1: we've watched in the past. It is presenting the veneer
- 4:10Speaker 1: of uh news like cable news stylings and doing it
- 4:16Speaker 1: very poorly. And it just it has the vibe of
- 4:22Speaker 1: sitting next to a really drunk guy on like a
- 4:27Speaker 1: greyhound bus and him just never stopping talking for the
- 4:31Speaker 1: entire bus ride. That's the basic vibe.
- 4:34Speaker 2: I do appreciate his enthusiasm because he man, he really Yeah,
- 4:39Speaker 2: the the things that he will stop the person who's
- 4:43Speaker 2: talking over to cut in with it's just no, I
- 4:47Speaker 2: want to I want to stop here. Did you hear
- 4:49Speaker 2: what he said? Worse than you could imagine? That's proof.
- 4:53Speaker 2: It's like, none of this is proof.
- 4:56Speaker 1: He's he also, for one thing, sounds like like jesse
- 5:01Speaker 1: Ventura's like debased clone, like some clone that has like melted,
- 5:07Speaker 1: and it's you know, not quite jesse Ventura, but almost.
- 5:11Speaker 1: And he also, uh, he needs to learn how to
- 5:17Speaker 1: let people say the shocking information before interjecting with wow,
- 5:24Speaker 1: that's so shocking, which just happens all the time, like
- 5:28Speaker 1: they're ramping up. The guy whoever he's talking to is
- 5:31Speaker 1: like ramping up to their supposed revelation. In the middle
- 5:35Speaker 1: of the revelation, he's like, Wow, whoa, whoa, that's crazy.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a site to behold. The opening of this
- 5:44Speaker 2: documentary yeah is uh, it's smart because most people are
- 5:49Speaker 2: only going to watch like the first fifteen minutes because
- 5:52Speaker 2: he lays out pretty much everything that he covers in
- 5:55Speaker 2: this thing in the first fifteen minutes.
- 5:58Speaker 1: No totally, did you see? So this aired only once
- 6:02Speaker 1: on any sort of non weird fishing site streaming thing,
- 6:08Speaker 1: and it was on the One America Network, the Trump
- 6:11Speaker 1: you know work sure, and they had to put a
- 6:15Speaker 1: I'm not kidding it has to be a two hundred
- 6:18Speaker 1: word disclaimer in front of it, read by a guy
- 6:22Speaker 1: like saying, this this is we're airing this, but this
- 6:26Speaker 1: doesn't have anything to do with the views of One
- 6:29Speaker 1: America Network, the craziest crazy channel that there ever has been.
- 6:34Speaker 1: But this this is a little too much for us.
- 6:36Speaker 1: We're gonna you need to know that we are not
- 6:40Speaker 1: condoning this in any way. It just goes over and
- 6:42Speaker 1: over separating themselves. Then why even air it? But you
- 6:45Speaker 1: know that's that's the right wing mentality.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Yeah, but you know if that site is backing off
- 6:51Speaker 2: the claims in this, then holy shit. Yeah.
- 6:54Speaker 1: I mean that's and that is the pervasive feeling that
- 6:58Speaker 1: you get throughout the entire is like this is stuff
- 7:01Speaker 1: that even the craziest people know not to is like
- 7:06Speaker 1: too dumb to be real.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Well, that's one of my main problems with this. As
- 7:12Speaker 2: I started watching it. I was like, well, this is
- 7:13Speaker 2: going to have to be two episodes because there's something
- 7:17Speaker 2: they bring up, something that has already been debunked, like
- 7:20Speaker 2: every two minutes. Yeah, Like they're just throwing these facts
- 7:24Speaker 2: out that are not facts, they are things that have
- 7:26Speaker 2: been investigated and proven to be false in most cases.
- 7:31Speaker 2: It's very frustrating.
- 7:34Speaker 1: It is exceptionally frustrating.
- 7:37Speaker 2: And so he goes through this first part where he's
- 7:40Speaker 2: like just putting all these charts up with all these
- 7:42Speaker 2: ridiculous claims and saying he's going to prove all this,
- 7:46Speaker 2: and then he gets into this bit about how there
- 7:48Speaker 2: were two miracles in this election. The first is that
- 7:54Speaker 2: all the states shut down that's a quote, yeah, which
- 7:58Speaker 2: was proof that Trump was getting way more votes than
- 8:02Speaker 2: the cheaters expected, and thus they had to recalibrate their
- 8:07Speaker 2: cheating software, right and Olivia. If that didn't happen, the
- 8:12Speaker 2: Lord would have never been able to show us that
- 8:15Speaker 2: so much fraud occurred in this documentary miracle.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Of course, Yeah, no, obviously the work of a higher
- 8:21Speaker 1: power theyre. I do remember we definitely have talked about
- 8:25Speaker 1: that in a previous episode. That whole concept, it is
- 8:29Speaker 1: the most Trump like explanation for you know why there
- 8:35Speaker 1: was voter fraud that there could be. It's like, oh, well,
- 8:37Speaker 1: there were just so many more votes for Trump that
- 8:42Speaker 1: they had to shut it down and figure out how
- 8:45Speaker 1: to cheat him a different way because it was overwhelming force.
- 8:49Speaker 2: And it's like, that doesn't sound like Trump at all.
- 8:53Speaker 2: And also that claim isn't true. Well no, obviously, Fulton County,
- 8:59Speaker 2: Georgia briefly paused counting the night of the election because
- 9:03Speaker 2: a water pipe burst at the facility where they were counting.
- 9:08Speaker 2: And that is one county, not the entire state North Carolina.
- 9:13Speaker 2: Because they're saying this happened in five battleground states, which
- 9:17Speaker 2: are North Carolina, Michigan, Wisconsin. I have them in the notes.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Why am I trying to make Georgia and Pennsylvania, Michigan, Georgia,
- 9:28Speaker 2: North Carolina, and Wisconsin North Carolina. The claim about North
- 9:33Speaker 2: Carolina is coming from the fact that on November three,
- 9:37Speaker 2: they stopped counting ballots once they had counted one hundred
- 9:41Speaker 2: percent of all the in person ballots. They didn't have
- 9:44Speaker 2: anything else they could county.
- 9:47Speaker 1: They stopped counting when they have reached the end of
- 9:51Speaker 1: the ballots. That's when you start over from the top.
- 9:55Speaker 2: Madness, absolute madness. Them. In states like Wisconsin, there were
- 10:01Speaker 2: laws that said they couldn't count mail in ballots until
- 10:05Speaker 2: the day of the election. So the claim there is, oh,
- 10:09Speaker 2: they got all these mail in ballots in one day.
- 10:11Speaker 2: It's like, no, fuck face. Some states could count them
- 10:14Speaker 2: before and other states couldn't. And because there was an
- 10:18Speaker 2: unprecedented number of mail in ballots, it took states longer
- 10:22Speaker 2: to report this time, and there were more mail in ballots,
- 10:26Speaker 2: not because of fraud, well, because of the fraud that
- 10:29Speaker 2: is COVID that's been perpetrated by the Libs, right.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Of course, which is a totally real conspiracy. That's a
- 10:35Speaker 1: separate thing.
- 10:36Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that, of course we all know is true, which,
- 10:38Speaker 2: by the way, we are joking it is not true.
- 10:42Speaker 2: People are fucking dying. So I'm probably not going to
- 10:46Speaker 2: be able to see Japanese breakfast in October over this.
- 10:49Speaker 2: Oh no, thanks, you fucking anti vax monsters.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Hey, at least I got to see old in theaters.
- 10:55Speaker 1: That's all I care about.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I was all right with a green Knight possibly
- 10:59Speaker 2: being the last thing I see in theaters for a while.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a good one to go out on I
- 11:03Speaker 1: really need to get on it.
- 11:04Speaker 2: It was a lot of fun. So in the name
- 11:07Speaker 2: of explaining the second miracle of this election, because that
- 11:12Speaker 2: all that they stopped counting, that's the first miracle, because
- 11:15Speaker 2: then it gave them a door into discovering this fraud.
- 11:20Speaker 2: In the name of explaining the second miracle, he goes
- 11:23Speaker 2: through a bunch of charts with some very shocking numbers.
- 11:26Speaker 1: On them, shocking and how unsighted they are, shockingly few
- 11:33Speaker 1: proof examples. Oh, I'm shockingly making me forget how to talk,
- 11:38Speaker 1: is what it is.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Well, that's Mike Lindell rubbing off on you right there. Yeah, Jesus,
- 11:43Speaker 2: we'll get to some really fun quotes from that guy.
- 11:46Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:46Speaker 2: But he goes through these all these charts for each
- 11:49Speaker 2: of these states where they claim there was fraud, and
- 11:52Speaker 2: there's all these wild statistics and not a single like
- 11:56Speaker 2: footnote that says here's where we got it from, right right,
- 12:00Speaker 2: I know a guy who says, yeah.
- 12:02Speaker 1: And also like, where are you ever gonna get the
- 12:06Speaker 1: numbers on the amount of illegal immigrants who voted in
- 12:11Speaker 1: the election. There's just that's not gonna be recorded anywhere.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Like it's like that's part of the census is the
- 12:19Speaker 1: amount of illegal immigrants who vote? How are you like,
- 12:22Speaker 1: I there's just literally again, we talked, we did a
- 12:26Speaker 1: whole thing on this, fucking on that fucking Italy thing. Okay,
- 12:30Speaker 1: I'm so fucking pissed off about this. We did a
- 12:33Speaker 1: whole episode on that goddamn Italy thing, which also comes
- 12:37Speaker 1: up in this. It's just I said it there. And
- 12:41Speaker 1: you just gotta apply the bare minimum of critical thinking
- 12:46Speaker 1: skills to any single thing that is said in this documentary,
- 12:51Speaker 1: and it completely falls apart under the least bit of scrutiny.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Like the numbers are so fucked up. On one of
- 12:58Speaker 1: the charts, they like have the number four thousand, and
- 13:01Speaker 1: they put the like comma after the four hundred part,
- 13:07Speaker 1: and it's like, well, that's like just not a number.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Then that's that's not how we signify things. I don't
- 13:13Speaker 1: know what that means.
- 13:14Speaker 2: Yeah, and this this is a claim that Trump and
- 13:17Speaker 2: his people have been pushing since twenty sixteen. Yeah, because
- 13:21Speaker 2: he lost the popular vote to Hillary Clinton, and he
- 13:24Speaker 2: claimed at the time that it was because eight hundred
- 13:27Speaker 2: thousand illegal immigrants voted in the election. Are there even
- 13:33Speaker 2: eight hundred thousand illegal immigrants of voting age in this
- 13:37Speaker 2: country because there's only I don't know the number, but
- 13:40Speaker 2: it's not as high as people think, right, No.
- 13:43Speaker 1: They couldn't be. That's like a small city's worth of people, Like.
- 13:48Speaker 2: So many people.
- 13:49Speaker 1: There's so many.
- 13:51Speaker 2: And in this case, the twenty twenty claims are based
- 13:55Speaker 2: on this one study that came out that was like, yeah,
- 13:59Speaker 2: sometimes non citizens register to vote and vote wrongly in
- 14:03Speaker 2: federal elections because in some states, if you're not a citizen,
- 14:06Speaker 2: you can vote in local elections. Yeah, in state elections,
- 14:10Speaker 2: you just can't vote for federal elections. And this report
- 14:14Speaker 2: came out that was like, yeah, it happened sometimes.
- 14:17Speaker 1: Well yeah, and while this shit happened, sometimes, it's the
- 14:20Speaker 1: same with dead people, you know, being registered to vote.
- 14:23Speaker 2: And conservatives took this one study and they were like, see,
- 14:28Speaker 2: see this study says it happens. And the people behind
- 14:30Speaker 2: that study were like, that's not what we were saying.
- 14:34Speaker 2: They were not saying that at all.
- 14:37Speaker 1: It's just so it's a recurring thing in especially modern
- 14:43Speaker 1: conservative politics, because I feel like it used to at
- 14:45Speaker 1: least be partially based in some sort of fact, but
- 14:48Speaker 1: like anymore, it's like they only reference a study if
- 14:54Speaker 1: it in some rare cases could very specifically like back
- 15:01Speaker 1: up their points and otherwise all of the mountains of
- 15:05Speaker 1: other studies are our nonsense, are are propaganda, it's whatever.
- 15:10Speaker 2: And then they get into some wild statistics about Georgia.
- 15:14Speaker 2: At one point, case in point, ten thousand dead people
- 15:18Speaker 2: voted in Georgia. Sure, the claims about Georgia are literally
- 15:23Speaker 2: just Republicans taking numbers and wildly inflating them. Case in point,
- 15:29Speaker 2: the ten thousand dead people who voted in Georgia, the
- 15:32Speaker 2: actual number is two. And this is a thing that
- 15:35Speaker 2: happens in elections, and a lot of times what it
- 15:37Speaker 2: comes down to is someone dies, but there's a family
- 15:41Speaker 2: member with the same or a very similar name, and
- 15:44Speaker 2: that person votes as usual, and sometimes that gets flagged
- 15:48Speaker 2: as oh, a dead person voted, right, it did not
- 15:52Speaker 2: happen ten thousand times in Georgia. In twenty twenty, it happened.
- 15:57Speaker 1: Twice again, so many people, and like I just it's
- 16:05Speaker 1: so frustrating to think about any of this, it really is,
- 16:08Speaker 1: for any amount of time, because it's so easily broken down.
- 16:11Speaker 2: Yeah, there's also the claim that thirty thousand people voted
- 16:14Speaker 2: in Georgia. And in another state that actual number is three.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Sure, the two in Georgia and one in another state.
- 16:24Speaker 2: There's a claim that sixty six thousand people under eighteen voted.
- 16:28Speaker 2: The actual number zero. Yeah, but three people did request
- 16:32Speaker 2: mail in ballots while they were still seventeen, but they
- 16:35Speaker 2: all turned eighteen before the election, which means they were
- 16:38Speaker 2: eligible to vote, of course. And on and on and on.
- 16:41Speaker 2: We'll link to articles that explain all of these points
- 16:45Speaker 2: and a bunch of other election fraud claims that have
- 16:48Speaker 2: come up about Georgia since November. And somehow we're also
- 16:52Speaker 2: still getting to what any of this has to do
- 16:54Speaker 2: with the second miracle of this election, which I can
- 16:58Speaker 2: promise you is not the sound at it.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Oh oh my god, Oh no, how who did this?
- 17:06Speaker 1: Who did this thing? It was so weird.
- 17:09Speaker 2: There were so many points where it was like that
- 17:12Speaker 2: thing that happened sometimes, especially on like the shittier cable networks,
- 17:16Speaker 2: where you'll be watching a show and it's very quiet
- 17:18Speaker 2: and a commercial comes on and it's like fifty decibels louder. Yes,
- 17:22Speaker 2: that was just happening throughout this documentary. His voice would
- 17:25Speaker 2: just get louder for no reason.
- 17:28Speaker 1: It's like instead of like a normal like uh, you know,
- 17:32Speaker 1: t shirt mic, you know for recording audio, they had
- 17:36Speaker 1: like a directional mic pinned to his jacket so that
- 17:40Speaker 1: whenever he would move even slightly, the variable tone of
- 17:45Speaker 1: his voice would change. And also the other weird thing
- 17:49Speaker 1: about the sound mixing and editing is at random points,
- 17:54Speaker 1: seemingly random. I honestly could not pick up a pattern
- 17:58Speaker 1: like threatening muse would fade in and play underneath whatever
- 18:05Speaker 1: is happening, and then fade out, and then at another
- 18:08Speaker 1: random point, the same threatening music would fade in.
- 18:12Speaker 2: It was very strange, no rhyme or reason to it. Anyway,
- 18:16Speaker 2: The miracle, as it turns out, is that if these
- 18:19Speaker 2: states didn't count all of these illegal votes and just
- 18:24Speaker 2: declared Trump the winner, then again we never would have
- 18:27Speaker 2: known about all of these attempts to steal the election.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true.
- 18:32Speaker 2: At this point, I feel like he's talking about two
- 18:34Speaker 2: different things because they keep bringing up for an intervention
- 18:38Speaker 2: and all of these countries, mainly China, which boy, don't
- 18:42Speaker 2: get me started on that claim, even though we're going
- 18:44Speaker 2: to talk about it in a.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Minute like we will, unfortunately have to get you started
- 18:50Speaker 1: on it.
- 18:51Speaker 2: Yes, indeed, so Is it that the States conspired to
- 18:57Speaker 2: swing this election for Biden? Or was it another country
- 19:00Speaker 2: interfering with voting machines, because these are two completely different things.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Maybe both. Maybe maybe it was whoever was holding that
- 19:07Speaker 1: hammer and sickle and pointing it at the sun for
- 19:11Speaker 1: that weird shot during some of this stuff that we're
- 19:14Speaker 1: talking about, lots of.
- 19:16Speaker 2: Cold War vibes in this. Oh man, maybe it.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Was I remember, I can't remember exactly what, but someone
- 19:24Speaker 1: throughout that some of the hacking was coming from Iran,
- 19:28Speaker 1: and I'm like, we're worried about Iran hacking us. That's
- 19:33Speaker 1: our concern. Now.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Yeah, we we ruined Iran and cybersecurity shit all the time.
- 19:39Speaker 2: We almost ended their nuclear program with a computer virus.
- 19:42Speaker 1: We eat their damn lunch every day of the week.
- 19:47Speaker 2: Iran's gonna steal our elections? Shot up. So I guess
- 19:52Speaker 2: the second miracle really is that this documentary exists. I
- 19:55Speaker 2: think that's kind of what he's getting that.
- 19:58Speaker 1: It truly is what a miracle. I mean, so many
- 20:03Speaker 1: things had to go right. You know, you had to
- 20:06Speaker 1: get Pillowman kicked off of Twitter, and then he had
- 20:09Speaker 1: to use his alt to post crazy shit, and that
- 20:12Speaker 1: had to get kicked off of Twitter, and then he
- 20:14Speaker 1: get fighting mad enough to spend the rest of his
- 20:16Speaker 1: money on this weird thing, and then he, I assume
- 20:20Speaker 1: kept the set, and I can only imagine that the
- 20:23Speaker 1: following two documentaries, which I'm guessing we will watch at
- 20:27Speaker 1: some point.
- 20:28Speaker 2: Oh, of course, we're just.
- 20:30Speaker 1: Gonna look like this. They're just gonna be this. It'll
- 20:34Speaker 1: probably be the exact thing, just remixed, chopped, and.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Screwed, provided we're allowed to watch it without like standing
- 20:42Speaker 2: inside an FBI vault with gloves on or something.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Yeah, it will actually be watching it as sleep deprivation
- 20:50Speaker 1: in Guantanamo. It'll be blaring at speakers.
- 20:55Speaker 2: Oh no, don't do that. Just play Pearl Jam to
- 20:59Speaker 2: torture me.
- 20:59Speaker 1: That'll work and I would be down with it, So hey,
- 21:02Speaker 1: please do But I like, and I want to reiterate
- 21:06Speaker 1: throughout all of this, this guy sounds like he has
- 21:11Speaker 1: been drinking whiskey every day for the last twenty years.
- 21:17Speaker 1: He is just slurring every word that is possible to slur.
- 21:22Speaker 2: Yeah, it seems like his brain stopped developing in the
- 21:24Speaker 2: eighties because everything he's saying is just about commies and Russia,
- 21:31Speaker 2: and it's all got a really red scare appeal to it.
- 21:36Speaker 1: It's it's so it's so weird and funny and sad
- 21:41Speaker 1: that this guy loves Trump so much. Like I think
- 21:47Speaker 1: that about most people who really love Trump, but this
- 21:49Speaker 1: guy in particular is like so obviously has modeled his
- 21:54Speaker 1: entire life around Trump, probably starting in the eighties, and
- 22:00Speaker 1: he just fucking loves him, and he will do anything
- 22:03Speaker 1: to get into his good graces and now and he
- 22:05Speaker 1: has done that so much that now even Trump is
- 22:08Speaker 1: sick of him and will not take his calls.
- 22:11Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. One of his biggest claims here is that Dominion,
- 22:15Speaker 2: the company that made a lot of the voting machines
- 22:17Speaker 2: for twenty twenty, is owned by a company with ties
- 22:21Speaker 2: to the communist regime in China. Nope, I'm pretty sure
- 22:25Speaker 2: by the time this documentary was made that claim had
- 22:29Speaker 2: not only been one of the things that comes up
- 22:31Speaker 2: in this I say it all the time too, is well,
- 22:33Speaker 2: make sure who's debunking it before you just assume it's
- 22:37Speaker 2: been debunked, in this case, debunked by the people who
- 22:40Speaker 2: initially started the rumor. It Basically the claim is that
- 22:46Speaker 2: a Chinese company invested four hundred million dollars in Dominion
- 22:50Speaker 2: in October twenty twenty, so right before the election. And Nope,
- 22:54Speaker 2: that was an American company with a name that is
- 22:57Speaker 2: very similar to a Chinese company.
- 22:59Speaker 1: Well, you know that that's an easy mistake to make.
- 23:03Speaker 1: You'd have like you'd have to read it a couple
- 23:05Speaker 1: times in order to make the to figure out the difference.
- 23:09Speaker 2: The company, UBS Securities Co. Limited, is indeed based in
- 23:14Speaker 2: Beijing and tied to the Chinese government. The company that
- 23:17Speaker 2: invested in Dominion is UBS Securities Co LLC, which is
- 23:23Speaker 2: a company based in Upstate New York.
- 23:25Speaker 1: So sorry, these these things do sound similar. But also
- 23:31Speaker 1: I think almost every fucking securities company or whatever fucking
- 23:36Speaker 1: financial thing, they all have those weird, ominous sounding initials
- 23:41Speaker 1: and like securities and then like a million different like
- 23:46Speaker 1: things saying what type of business it is at the end.
- 23:49Speaker 2: Yeah, the people who first spread this misinformation did themselves
- 23:54Speaker 2: at one point come out and go, yep, we mixed
- 23:57Speaker 2: up those companies.
- 23:58Speaker 1: Whoop see, but trust everything else.
- 24:01Speaker 2: Yeah, not that we're going to tell our followers that
- 24:03Speaker 2: we fuck that up, but we will tell you USA
- 24:06Speaker 2: today knowing that no one who follows us will ever
- 24:09Speaker 2: read you because you're the fake mainstream meeting.
- 24:12Speaker 1: I mean, to be fair, like most people don't read
- 24:15Speaker 1: USA Today. I'm pretty sure they invented USA Today to
- 24:19Speaker 1: line like, uh, bird cages and stuff.
- 24:22Speaker 2: I do subscribe to Newsweek, though they're doing work these ways.
- 24:26Speaker 1: I know you've sent me multiple Newsweek articles.
- 24:29Speaker 2: Yeah, they're great. So here's the thing, Olivia, this massive
- 24:34Speaker 2: fraud could only have happened with the help of domestic traders, right.
- 24:38Speaker 1: Also, Yeah, they throw that around a lot in this
- 24:43Speaker 1: and I.
- 24:43Speaker 2: Think they're just kind of trying to preemptively explain away
- 24:48Speaker 2: any limitations in the Oh, it was a foreign government
- 24:51Speaker 2: that did it, right, right, Like, there's limits to that
- 24:55Speaker 2: argument that we're going to get to. So then they
- 24:57Speaker 2: can go, well, yeah, but also there's domestic traders, right
- 25:00Speaker 2: who did it too, Like you're gonna name.
- 25:02Speaker 1: Any or yeah, I mean, like, and domestic trader can
- 25:06Speaker 1: refer to like any number of people doing any number
- 25:09Speaker 1: of things based on how you just I mean, I'm
- 25:13Speaker 1: just basically reciting the criticisms of the Cold War. But
- 25:17Speaker 1: like that's what this is basically.
- 25:21Speaker 2: And this is the point where they get into the
- 25:23Speaker 2: Italy theory, which we did a whole episode about they
- 25:27Speaker 2: keep bringing up that famous affidavit which is literally just
- 25:31Speaker 2: some some typed out words signed by a guy the
- 25:34Speaker 2: most I don't know if that qualifies as an actual affidavit.
- 25:38Speaker 1: I'm not sure the most suspicious affidavit that has been
- 25:42Speaker 1: released that I remember that video of that of that
- 25:46Speaker 1: weird Italian guy that was that was very strange. Didn't
- 25:49Speaker 1: seem above the level to me, I'm gonna say, not
- 25:52Speaker 1: above board.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Definitely not something you could fake. Well, if you can
- 25:55Speaker 2: just sit in Italian guy down in front of a
- 25:57Speaker 2: camera with a script and tell him to read, oh man,
- 26:00Speaker 2: so we'll link to our Italy Theory episodes so you
- 26:04Speaker 2: can you can dive into that. He also brings up
- 26:07Speaker 2: an air purification company wanting to profit from the Green
- 26:11Speaker 2: New Deal as possible U co conspirators in this tom on.
- 26:17Speaker 1: I mean, you know, just just grasping at right wing straws,
- 26:20Speaker 1: you know.
- 26:22Speaker 2: And then they get into a whole argument that really
- 26:26Speaker 2: really got under my skin, which is the notion that
- 26:31Speaker 2: China was behind this hacking of our voting machines because
- 26:36Speaker 2: their agenda would be so much easier to carry out
- 26:40Speaker 2: under Biden as opposed to Trump, who was on China.
- 26:44Speaker 2: And here's the thing, No, he fucking wasn't, not at all.
- 26:49Speaker 2: For one thing, he bring this phil Waldron guy brings
- 26:52Speaker 2: up these man made islands that China is building in
- 26:55Speaker 2: the South China Sea, which is a thing. There is
- 26:57Speaker 2: a big territorial dispute in the South China and he
- 27:01Speaker 2: literally says, you know, with Trump out of the way,
- 27:04Speaker 2: that endeavor is going to be easier to pull off.
- 27:07Speaker 2: The Obama administration has been vowing that China will not
- 27:12Speaker 2: shut down shipping lanes in the South China Sea since
- 27:15Speaker 2: two thousand and ten. When Obama first made that announcement,
- 27:20Speaker 2: China's delegate that was in the room stormed out of
- 27:23Speaker 2: the room.
- 27:24Speaker 1: Yeah, one of the many big weird scandals of the
- 27:27Speaker 1: of the Obama administration.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Yeah, he brings up those islands. The Biden administration right
- 27:33Speaker 2: now is actively assuring China that we will defend the
- 27:37Speaker 2: Philippines' rights to those islands and that we will keep
- 27:40Speaker 2: them open. Meanwhile, I don't think Trump said shit about
- 27:42Speaker 2: the South China Sea.
- 27:43Speaker 1: No.
- 27:44Speaker 2: That's one of the big components of any conspiracy theory.
- 27:47Speaker 2: What was the motive and did it work right? If
- 27:49Speaker 2: they're arguing China did this and their motive was because
- 27:53Speaker 2: Biden would be easier on China. That is demonstrably false.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I could probably explain exactly the line of thinking
- 28:02Speaker 1: that leads person like the pillowman to this conclusion, which
- 28:07Speaker 1: is China communist bad, Biden Democrat communist bad loves China.
- 28:16Speaker 1: That's literally it. I think that is the one to
- 28:19Speaker 1: one thought process.
- 28:22Speaker 2: And so Trump's all Trump's talk about the trade deal
- 28:25Speaker 2: in the trade wars and things. I'm sure because I
- 28:28Speaker 2: know Asian people who voted for Trump because they perceived
- 28:32Speaker 2: him as being tougher on China. And the thing is
- 28:36Speaker 2: the Trans Pacific Partnership which Trump immediately pulled out of
- 28:40Speaker 2: that actually limited China's influence in that region and kind
- 28:44Speaker 2: of kept them at bay from a human rights standpoint.
- 28:48Speaker 2: And will link to an article from a Vietnamese publication
- 28:52Speaker 2: where they're like, look, under the Trans Pacific Partnership, we
- 28:55Speaker 2: were doing all right, like we were on our way
- 28:57Speaker 2: to coming back, and then the United States out of
- 29:00Speaker 2: it in China just started abusing human rights again and
- 29:04Speaker 2: trying to fucking take everyone over.
- 29:06Speaker 1: Yep.
- 29:06Speaker 2: So the Transpacific Partnership was actually tougher on China than
- 29:10Speaker 2: this trade war. This trade war raised the price of
- 29:13Speaker 2: Chinese goods in the United States. It costs three hundred
- 29:17Speaker 2: thousand American jobs, and we got nothing in.
- 29:21Speaker 1: Return, absolutely nothing.
- 29:23Speaker 2: So the idea that China would interfere in this election
- 29:27Speaker 2: to get Biden elected is fucking bananas and it is
- 29:31Speaker 2: not based in facts.
- 29:34Speaker 1: So yeah, no reality whatsoever.
- 29:36Speaker 2: And I mean, I'm sorry, believers, but that China stuff
- 29:40Speaker 2: is almost the foundation of this theory, or at least
- 29:44Speaker 2: one half of it, I mean, and it's just not true.
- 29:47Speaker 1: No, Yeah, it's one of the one of the many,
- 29:50Speaker 1: like rickety foundations that this movie is trying to build
- 29:54Speaker 1: a imitation of an argument on top.
- 29:57Speaker 2: Of Yeah, and I'd like it noted we're only like
- 29:59Speaker 2: twenty five minutes into this fucking thing.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Yeah, oh man, when I realized I was still just
- 30:06Speaker 1: in the intro at that point, that's when I first
- 30:09Speaker 1: started to really lose hope. I was really in a
- 30:12Speaker 1: dark place at this point.
- 30:15Speaker 2: So the next person he talks to Russell Ramsland Allied
- 30:19Speaker 2: Security Operations Group. He also says he has proof right
- 30:23Speaker 2: outside interests are accessing voting machines and changing votes. Yeah,
- 30:28Speaker 2: this guy's goddamn fraud. There is in a Washington Post
- 30:33Speaker 2: article about this guy's past and his motivations that I
- 30:37Speaker 2: shit you not. Seems like it's about one hundred and
- 30:39Speaker 2: eighty five thousand words. Of all, it is lengthy, and
- 30:43Speaker 2: this guy's a salesman. He has made his living selling
- 30:48Speaker 2: all kinds of crazy shit. And now the thing, the
- 30:51Speaker 2: crazy shit he's selling is that the election was stolen
- 30:54Speaker 2: from Trump. He keeps saying, we have proof, We've seen proof,
- 30:58Speaker 2: we just can't release it yet. And then I love
- 31:00Speaker 2: when Mike Lindell keeps jumping in and going, I got
- 31:03Speaker 2: the proof. I'm going to show it.
- 31:04Speaker 1: At the end of it's like, okay, you're.
- 31:08Speaker 2: Just gonna undermine this company's investigation.
- 31:12Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the thing, Like yeah, he's a salesman. Pillowman's
- 31:15Speaker 1: a salesman. Like there, this is just a bunch of
- 31:18Speaker 1: salesmen trying to sell you shit. You know, they all
- 31:20Speaker 1: want to sell you a bridge in New York, and
- 31:23Speaker 1: a bunch of people are apparently buying it.
- 31:26Speaker 2: I guess this is also one of the moments where
- 31:29Speaker 2: Mike Lindell keys in on a kind of not important
- 31:34Speaker 2: statement and just loses his shit over it because Russell
- 31:37Speaker 2: Ramslan says something along the lines of again, there's a
- 31:41Speaker 2: bunch of evidence that we haven't published yet, but it's
- 31:44Speaker 2: worse than you think, and Mike Lindell loses his shit,
- 31:49Speaker 2: like this is some smoking gun moment in the documentary.
- 31:53Speaker 2: He's like, you hear that, folks, it's worse than you think.
- 31:56Speaker 2: And it's like, what is worse than I think? You
- 31:59Speaker 2: haven't shown me shit?
- 32:01Speaker 1: Yeah, that is. That is the basic rhythm of the
- 32:05Speaker 1: entire rest of the movie is just that vibe, repeated
- 32:09Speaker 1: ad infinitum.
- 32:10Speaker 2: There's a great quote from Mike Lindell in this part
- 32:12Speaker 2: where he says, this is the most attack on our
- 32:14Speaker 2: country ever.
- 32:15Speaker 1: Mike what There's a couple of My favorite one personally
- 32:19Speaker 1: was when they're discussing the Italy Gate aspect of this
- 32:23Speaker 1: about votes getting sent overseas to be changed and then
- 32:28Speaker 1: sent back because that extra step is super necessary, he says,
- 32:33Speaker 1: so they can change the vote to anything they want
- 32:35Speaker 1: and then send it back cyberly through cyber is cyberly,
- 32:43Speaker 1: which is that's just that's just good stuff. That's stupendous.
- 32:47Speaker 1: I'm a big fan of that one.
- 32:48Speaker 2: Yeah, He brings up this German election server theory that
- 32:53Speaker 2: centers around a claim that the US Army seized servers
- 32:57Speaker 2: owned by this Setyl company that comes up in the
- 33:00Speaker 2: documentary that showed Trump actually won four hundred and ten
- 33:03Speaker 2: electoral votes.
- 33:05Speaker 1: He actually beat him by a million electoral votes.
- 33:08Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, he got electoral votes in countries that aren't
- 33:12Speaker 2: even the United States. Yeah, that's how many Trump got.
- 33:15Speaker 1: You got electric votes in countries that don't exist yet
- 33:19Speaker 1: but will soon.
- 33:20Speaker 2: The moon went for Trump.
- 33:21Speaker 1: Okay.
- 33:22Speaker 2: The Army and Sidle both have come out and said
- 33:25Speaker 2: this raid never happened. Yeah, and Seidel was like, we
- 33:29Speaker 2: don't have servers in Germany talking about like they they
- 33:34Speaker 2: came out and said, obviously if we sell an American
- 33:38Speaker 2: entity election equipment, we put it in the United States.
- 33:43Speaker 2: Like this isn't a cloud server. They're not signing up
- 33:46Speaker 2: for Google storage, like they're buying fucking election equipment.
- 33:51Speaker 1: Right. It's all extremely frustrating. Although I this guy Russ,
- 33:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna call him dime store Zell. Miller does make
- 34:00Speaker 1: a good point where he says the US government has
- 34:02Speaker 1: been changing votes in other country. Like He's like, maybe
- 34:05Speaker 1: the US has been changing votes in other countries, and
- 34:08Speaker 1: it's like, yeah, that's that's probably true. That that might
- 34:12Speaker 1: be the most correct thing said in this entire thing,
- 34:15Speaker 1: Like that's probably right.
- 34:17Speaker 2: Yeah, if this was a theory about the United States
- 34:20Speaker 2: interfering in a Russian election, yeah, oh yeah, I'm buying that.
- 34:24Speaker 2: But come on, uh so yeah, he just he Mike
- 34:29Speaker 2: Lindell swears he has this forensic evidence that russ doesn't
- 34:33Speaker 2: want us to see and that he's going to show
- 34:34Speaker 2: it later in the documentary. Up next, he talks to
- 34:37Speaker 2: doctor Shiva Ayad Dry Yeah, who uh most known for
- 34:42Speaker 2: his claim that Massachusetts destroyed one million ballots in the
- 34:46Speaker 2: US Senate primary that he lost to Republican Kevin O'Connor.
- 34:51Speaker 1: Yeah, sure, buddy, a million. Huh wow, that's a that's
- 34:54Speaker 1: a big number. I can't believe that.
- 34:57Speaker 2: And uh for that, he's he's famous also for claiming
- 35:00Speaker 2: that he invented email. Oh I forgot that.
- 35:02Speaker 4: Well, yeah, this guy he invented email. You gotta be
- 35:07Speaker 4: so you know, this is the guy who invented email,
- 35:10Speaker 4: So you gotta you gotta understand he knows what he's
- 35:12Speaker 4: talking about.
- 35:13Speaker 2: And it's like email is a technology that started in
- 35:17Speaker 2: the seventies, Like that doesn't mean you know about shit
- 35:20Speaker 2: happening today.
- 35:21Speaker 1: Right, Well that's for one thing, there's that, and for
- 35:24Speaker 1: the other thing, he definitely did not invent email.
- 35:28Speaker 2: Like highly disputed claims.
- 35:30Speaker 1: Yeah, let's say again, citation needed, and the citations mostly
- 35:35Speaker 1: come from him. I'm seeing where in nineteen eighty two
- 35:38Speaker 1: he talks about how he did not invent email. So
- 35:43Speaker 1: I'm just saying, probably didn't.
- 35:45Speaker 2: Yeah, this this guy, this guy's a character.
- 35:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm gonna say, first of all, he's a math guy,
- 35:51Speaker 1: like he's a big like he's like, oh well, I've
- 35:53Speaker 1: got a computer brain, and I just know that number,
- 35:56Speaker 1: how numbers are and numbers are good. And he also
- 36:00Speaker 1: you know, and I don't want to be mean or
- 36:03Speaker 1: say things any untoward, but look, man, your name is
- 36:08Speaker 1: doctor Shiva Ayadurai, and you are trying to become a
- 36:11Speaker 1: Republican senator. I can think of a few things other
- 36:15Speaker 1: than vote tampering that they're going to prevent you from
- 36:19Speaker 1: having a lot of success in that arena. I'm sorry,
- 36:23Speaker 1: I'm not trying again, not trying to say anything, but
- 36:26Speaker 1: like you, it's in Massachusetts Republicans. Yeah, no, I don't
- 36:31Speaker 1: think I don't think they're going to vote for Eshiva.
- 36:32Speaker 2: Sorry, look, probably not again controversial, I know.
- 36:37Speaker 1: I don't mean to apply that Massachusetts Republicans are super racist.
- 36:43Speaker 2: Well racism ended when we elected Obama.
- 36:45Speaker 1: Though, Oh so and this election was after Obama. Oh yes, yes,
- 36:51Speaker 1: oh okay, well then never mind. Then I'm sorry. I wow, God,
- 36:55Speaker 1: I am wrong.
- 36:56Speaker 2: He does get into some interesting First Amendment points during
- 37:00Speaker 2: this part of the documentary. Yeah, and even like he
- 37:03Speaker 2: ended up suing tech Dirt for publishing an article about
- 37:07Speaker 2: how he didn't invent email.
- 37:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I was gonna say. I read that tech Dirt
- 37:12Speaker 1: article and they are very saucy about about that lawsuit.
- 37:16Speaker 1: It's pretty funny.
- 37:17Speaker 2: But even the person he sued, yeah, wrote a follow
- 37:20Speaker 2: up article and was like, all right, well he is
- 37:23Speaker 2: kind of right that it's weird that an elected official
- 37:27Speaker 2: contacted Twitter and was like you got to take those
- 37:30Speaker 2: tweets down? Yeah, which yeah, if like all like this
- 37:34Speaker 2: guy is just claiming that his one election was stolen,
- 37:38Speaker 2: I don't know if you have to take that down
- 37:40Speaker 2: from Twitter, Like you could just be like no, you're wrong,
- 37:43Speaker 2: like that's that's not that's not correct.
- 37:46Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean, I think the problem is more of
- 37:49Speaker 1: who was doing the requesting on that, who was like
- 37:53Speaker 1: reporting it, and it being another elected official, which I understand.
- 37:57Speaker 1: That's definitely a weird conflict that we haven't really fully
- 38:00Speaker 1: hashed out yet. I will say, even if it's just
- 38:03Speaker 1: about his little election like that, that is still like,
- 38:08Speaker 1: that's the snowball of how all of this shit works
- 38:12Speaker 1: in the first place. So like, you know, if you're
- 38:14Speaker 1: gonna get rid of some of it, you gotta get
- 38:15Speaker 1: rid of.
- 38:16Speaker 2: All of it. Yeah, and I don't know that. This
- 38:20Speaker 2: is the point in the documentary where I was like, oh,
- 38:22Speaker 2: this is gonna be a few episodes, at least two episodes.
- 38:27Speaker 1: Let's go with two. I'm gonna say that the second
- 38:30Speaker 1: half is a real lightning round. It's like like because
- 38:33Speaker 1: like the first hour of this thing, it's basically these
- 38:37Speaker 1: two guys and the intro by pillow Man, and the
- 38:42Speaker 1: second half it's like a gauntlet that he goes through
- 38:45Speaker 1: of different guests.
- 38:47Speaker 2: But I'm sure they all bring up very valid points
- 38:51Speaker 2: that are backed up with a lot of proof, evidence
- 38:53Speaker 2: and things.
- 38:54Speaker 1: Of course, which is why I'm saying we'll only do
- 38:56Speaker 1: one episode where we're like, no, and this part is
- 38:58Speaker 1: this all good, this is all about I get this
- 39:00Speaker 1: all makes sense.
- 39:01Speaker 2: Yeah, last one hour of this documentary all true.
- 39:05Speaker 1: A yeah, they should have led with that, you know.
- 39:08Speaker 2: Figure. Yeah, so this is this is the point where
- 39:11Speaker 2: we're gonna break uh break this episode off, and then
- 39:16Speaker 2: we'll pick it up on part two. We're probably gonna
- 39:18Speaker 2: do a bonus episode in between. I don't know what
- 39:21Speaker 2: it's gonna be, but uh yeah. How are you feeling
- 39:23Speaker 2: about the My the My Pillow Guy documentary so far?
- 39:27Speaker 1: How am I feeling?
- 39:28Speaker 2: Yeah? You excited that we're watching it?
- 39:31Speaker 1: You know, I am I guess glad to have seen
- 39:35Speaker 1: it as a cultural artifact of the time, you know. Sure,
- 39:42Speaker 1: But as a human being who had to spend two
- 39:45Speaker 1: hours watching this man say vaguely coherent words at me,
- 39:55Speaker 1: I didn't love it. I didn't love the experience. I
- 39:57Speaker 1: gotta say overall, I would say I'm not an extremely
- 40:01Speaker 1: well executed movie. For one thing, bad true movie, very
- 40:06Speaker 1: bad more than anything else, extremely unsatisfying film. And also
- 40:12Speaker 1: I would say, as an argument, maybe not entirely persuasive
- 40:18Speaker 1: at all in any capacity, I.
- 40:21Speaker 2: Would definitely agree with that. I also agree with you
- 40:24Speaker 2: that I am glad that I've at least seen this. Yeah,
- 40:28Speaker 2: I feel that way about all of this shit. I'm
- 40:29Speaker 2: glad I saw the plandemic video. Sure, like I do
- 40:35Speaker 2: try to seek this out and just see what these
- 40:37Speaker 2: people are saying, because that's the thing people who follow
- 40:40Speaker 2: this shit always accuse you of, or that's the thing
- 40:43Speaker 2: they always come back with, which is, well, do the
- 40:46Speaker 2: research and just sorry for yourself, motherfucker. I do.
- 40:50Speaker 1: I do the research, I really do.
- 40:53Speaker 2: And this documentary it's just full of shit that has
- 40:58Speaker 2: already been proven false, so that's being exaggerated or that
- 41:01Speaker 2: can't be proven because there is no evidence of.
- 41:04Speaker 1: It, and just charts and graphs and numbers that have
- 41:11Speaker 1: no backup or context or anything, which is just that
- 41:16Speaker 1: should always be a red flag for you. I'm sorry,
- 41:18Speaker 1: even if it's for something that you agree with, even
- 41:21Speaker 1: if you're like a liberal or a leftist listening to
- 41:24Speaker 1: this and like someone that you follow on Twitter you
- 41:27Speaker 1: like presents you with a graph if it does or
- 41:30Speaker 1: a chart like if you don't have like sources for
- 41:33Speaker 1: that shit, or like if your graph doesn't have numbers
- 41:36Speaker 1: on it, which happens a lot, like you know, fucking
- 41:40Speaker 1: take that shit with a huge ass grain of salt.
- 41:43Speaker 2: Yeah, and even then you gotta take into account who
- 41:46Speaker 2: made the graph absolutely, what their motivations might have been.
- 41:51Speaker 2: My favorite example, as always, is the famous study that
- 41:56Speaker 2: claims cigarettes and e cigarettes have the same chemicals them.
- 42:00Speaker 2: They do, but they're the chemicals that like when you
- 42:04Speaker 2: walk into Disneyland or any California apartment, there's a sign
- 42:07Speaker 2: that says, yeah, there's fucking came, you could get cancer, right,
- 42:11Speaker 2: but everyone is exposed to these all the time. Those
- 42:14Speaker 2: are the chemicals that are in both cigarettes and e cigarettes.
- 42:17Speaker 2: It's not the STRYC nine and the rat poison and
- 42:20Speaker 2: all the shit that they put in cigarettes. Those are
- 42:23Speaker 2: definitively not any cigarettes. And the study that made that
- 42:27Speaker 2: claim was funded by the tobacco cessation industry. And there
- 42:33Speaker 2: is no better way to quit smoking than vaping. It's
- 42:37Speaker 2: it is almost fool proof.
- 42:38Speaker 1: It's a good step down, definitely, it sure is.
- 42:41Speaker 2: So. Yeah, don't once you see that there are numbers
- 42:44Speaker 2: on it, dig a little deeper and see who's actually
- 42:47Speaker 2: putting that study together and what their motivation might be.
- 42:50Speaker 1: Maybe, look, is the comma in the right place on
- 42:52Speaker 1: the on the number, Like you know that that might
- 42:55Speaker 1: be a big indicator of whether or not this is
- 42:57Speaker 1: a trustworthy sorts.
- 42:58Speaker 2: Yeah, the one of the outlets that's been pushing a
- 43:02Speaker 2: lot of this election fraud has the nerve to call
- 43:05Speaker 2: themselves just the facts, and they just so clearly cherry
- 43:09Speaker 2: pick facts and details and mold them into a presentation
- 43:14Speaker 2: that kind of makes their point. But usually even then
- 43:17Speaker 2: not really.
- 43:17Speaker 1: That is like, could not be a more suspicious name
- 43:21Speaker 1: for something like that than just the facts.
- 43:25Speaker 2: It's never just the facts.
- 43:27Speaker 1: Facts are never just the facts. There's always context. You
- 43:32Speaker 1: can't just learn a fact and then think that you
- 43:35Speaker 1: understand the story. You've got to know what led up
- 43:39Speaker 1: to the fact and what you know the out you know,
- 43:42Speaker 1: outcome of that was like, there's just always context to ship.
- 43:46Speaker 2: Yeah, and uh, oh my god, I don't know. I
- 43:49Speaker 2: don't know. I don't know what to say about it.
- 43:51Speaker 1: It's so defeated.
- 43:53Speaker 2: We have a whole other episode we have to do
- 43:55Speaker 2: about it. I don't what are we gonna do for
- 43:57Speaker 2: a bonus episode in between? Should buy them? Should we
- 44:00Speaker 2: each by my pillow? Test it out?
- 44:02Speaker 1: No? I don't want to give this guy doesn't get
- 44:05Speaker 1: like a used one, but I feel like it used
- 44:07Speaker 1: my pillow. Is it also a dangerous preposition?
- 44:10Speaker 2: Yeah, that sounds even worse.
- 44:12Speaker 1: You know, I started watching Rubicon rewatching Rubicon because I
- 44:17Speaker 1: hadn't seen it since there. Have you watched Rubicon? I
- 44:20Speaker 1: have not, dude, Okay, we'll talk about after the show,
- 44:22Speaker 1: but maybe that would be.
- 44:24Speaker 2: A thing I started watching. I've watched one episode of
- 44:27Speaker 2: a ABC series that lasted one season called Zero Hour
- 44:32Speaker 2: and it stars Revenge of the Nerds and Eers Anthony Edwards.
- 44:35Speaker 2: Hell yeah, he plays a guy who runs a skeptic
- 44:39Speaker 2: website back in the day when running a website was
- 44:43Speaker 2: actually a thing that could be profitable and allow you
- 44:45Speaker 2: to hire people to help, back in the Facebook glory days.
- 44:49Speaker 2: And he gets roped into a Nazi artifact conspiracy and
- 44:54Speaker 2: somehow this show didn't make it past season one on ABC.
- 44:58Speaker 2: The problem is I was watching it on the the
- 45:00Speaker 2: ABC app, and I shit you not, there was about
- 45:02Speaker 2: twenty two minutes of commercials fuck that spliced into that.
- 45:06Speaker 2: So now I have to decide if I want to
- 45:08Speaker 2: like follow through and pay for it. I'm not watching
- 45:11Speaker 2: it on the ABC app, so yeah, who knows. We'll
- 45:14Speaker 2: figure out some bonus shit to do in between. We
- 45:18Speaker 2: got to take a break in between this My Pillow documentary. Uugh,
- 45:22Speaker 2: until then, do we have anything to plug? Use code
- 45:26Speaker 2: unpops it check out to save fifteen percent on your
- 45:29Speaker 2: MyPillow purchase free shipping if you order before Friday.
- 45:35Speaker 1: I bet you could, like, here, let me give a
- 45:37Speaker 1: I'll give my pillow promo code. Go to my Pillow
- 45:40Speaker 1: and put in promo code QAnon. I bet I'm not
- 45:44Speaker 1: even fucking joking. I bet I would bet one hundred
- 45:48Speaker 1: dollars that that is still an active promo code.
- 45:51Speaker 2: Yeah, that wouldn't surprise me at all. I bet there's
- 45:54Speaker 2: like a QAnon edition of my pillow. It's just got
- 45:57Speaker 2: the big queue with the flag in it.
- 45:59Speaker 1: It's like a Q drop collage where it's like a
- 46:04Speaker 1: bunch of them, all the best ones.
- 46:06Speaker 2: What if that's how the drops are going out? Now? Hey,
- 46:08Speaker 2: maybe hidden inside my pillows? What a boom for that guy?
- 46:13Speaker 1: Oh, that's how they make him so soft as I
- 46:17Speaker 1: don't I actually I'm not gonna lie I have. I
- 46:20Speaker 1: will never know what exactly my pillow is.
- 46:25Speaker 2: It doesn't look that comfortable.
- 46:27Speaker 1: Is it just a foam pillow?
- 46:30Speaker 2: I think it's got some like contours and things and
- 46:33Speaker 2: but I don't like that, Like I don't and a
- 46:35Speaker 2: memory phone pillow is gonna be stiff. Oh I don't
- 46:38Speaker 2: want that.
- 46:39Speaker 1: Yeah, I've got one that you have to kind of
- 46:41Speaker 1: fiddle with occasionally.
- 46:43Speaker 2: I punch it up a little bit.
- 46:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I you know, or like make sure it's like
- 46:49Speaker 1: has enough time to fill back up before before bedtime?
- 46:54Speaker 2: Is it made in China like the my pillow? Ironically, yeah,
- 46:58Speaker 2: it's not.
- 46:59Speaker 1: I would love if like whoever is the Chinese manufacturer
- 47:04Speaker 1: of my pillow? Like if someone emailed them this documentary
- 47:09Speaker 1: and was like this is check this out, see what's up?
- 47:12Speaker 1: You know, do you really wanna do you really really
- 47:14Speaker 1: want to make in this guy's pillows? Huh?
- 47:16Speaker 2: Get him deplatformed from his pillow.
- 47:18Speaker 1: Making exactly canceled by China. Yeah.
- 47:23Speaker 2: So uh. Other than that, I don't have anything to plug.
- 47:25Speaker 2: Patreon dot com, Slash and Pops on Pops networked out,
- 47:28Speaker 2: Supercast dot Tech. We were gonna me Andy Sell and
- 47:31Speaker 2: Travis Clark. We're gonna try and plan a tour for September,
- 47:34Speaker 2: but COVID's gonna yeah ruin that.
- 47:36Speaker 1: I can tell that seems tough.
- 47:38Speaker 2: Yeah, Uh, what do you got to plug.
- 47:41Speaker 1: Uh yeah, Twitter uh high there hidar, And that's all
- 47:45Speaker 1: the energy I have to devote to plugs right.
- 47:47Speaker 2: Now, agreed. All right, let's get out of here. Olivia,
- 47:52Speaker 2: say goodbye cyberly, growled bye.
- 47:57Speaker 1: I'll know how to say something cyberly.
- 48:00Speaker 2: Yeah. He has to do it in like ones and zero.
- 48:06Speaker 1: We'll talk about this in the next one. But some
- 48:07Speaker 1: guy talks about adding up all the ones and zeros
- 48:10Speaker 1: in the computer to find something. I'm like, that's that's priceless.
- 48:13Speaker 1: I love this.
- 48:14Speaker 2: Yeah, that's not a real thing. All right, goodbye everybody,
- 48:18Speaker 2: We love you.
