Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: This is Kiss Breakfast. Let's go to not get a
- 0:03Speaker 1: hit of celebrity gossip.
- 0:05Speaker 2: All right, Kim Kardashian did Dancing with the Stars back
- 0:08Speaker 2: in 2008. So they have it over there like we
- 0:12Speaker 2: have it here, but their stars generally are a lot
- 0:15Speaker 2: bigger than ours are.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Like, I mean, they had Robert Irwin.
- 0:18Speaker 2: On their Dancing with the Stars, not on ours, which
- 0:22Speaker 2: he won actually.
- 0:22Speaker 1: So did his sister Bindi. Good on the Irwins. They
- 0:24Speaker 1: must have a dancing gene.
- 0:26Speaker 2: But Kim Kardashian did it when she was 27 and
- 0:29Speaker 2: now two decades on almost, she's revealed that she was
- 0:32Speaker 2: miserable during the show and she actually wanted to be eliminated.
- 0:36Speaker 1: She was speaking about it with Jimmy Kimmel. Take a listen.
- 0:38Speaker 2: I would honestly... crying in my trailer, like, every single night, like,
- 0:42Speaker 2: praying to get kicked off.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Oh, really?
- 0:44Speaker 2: It was so hard for me.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Were you doing all the rehearsals and all that?
- 0:48Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 0:48Speaker 3: Three hours a day and that kind of stuff?
- 0:50Speaker 4: Of course.
- 0:50Speaker 2: I felt like it was more than that.
- 0:51Speaker 3: But it was just so.
- 0:53Speaker 2: I was so shy to do it. I, like, couldn't
- 0:56Speaker 2: get over myself.
- 0:57Speaker 3: I couldn't get into.
- 0:58Speaker 2: It because I was just so shy and... I've never
- 1:01Speaker 2: danced again. So she was obviously self-conscious and just felt
- 1:05Speaker 2: like she was being criticised so couldn't relax and enjoy
- 1:08Speaker 2: the experience. So she said she'd try it again now
- 1:11Speaker 2: where she's at in her life now.
- 1:13Speaker 4: I've always said I would love to go on Dancing
- 1:15Speaker 4: With The Stars because I love dancing. But then I've
- 1:18Speaker 4: spoken to people who have been on it and they've
- 1:21Speaker 4: said it's absolutely exhausting.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Apparently it's hectic, the schedule.
- 1:24Speaker 4: Like they dance for sometimes six, seven hours a day.
- 1:28Speaker 4: And my biggest thing is I don't know how– They
- 1:31Speaker 4: dance in such high stilettos.
- 1:33Speaker 1: You couldn't do it.
- 1:35Speaker 4: Like, I can move my hips and stuff, but, like,
- 1:39Speaker 4: they're doing, like, pirouette spins, getting thrown in the air and.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Like, it's impressive.
- 1:44Speaker 4: You'd do it, but if Channel 7 called you and said,
- 1:46Speaker 4: we want you on Dancing With The Stars.
- 1:48Speaker 1: I'd probably do it, yeah. And Strictly Ballroom, that was
- 1:51Speaker 1: my favourite movie growing up.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Speaking of Dancing With The Stars, on this current season
- 1:56Speaker 2: that's happening, Julia Stiles is one of the celebrities.
- 1:59Speaker 1: Now, do you remember Julia Stiles from, what was that,
- 2:02Speaker 1: Save The Last Dance that she did? The huge movie, no?
- 2:07Speaker 3: No.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Anyway, she was also in 10 Things I Hate About
- 2:10Speaker 2: You with Heath Ledger.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Oh, the main chick.
- 2:13Speaker 3: Yes.
- 2:13Speaker 1: His love interest. Oh, yes. So, yeah, she had a
- 2:15Speaker 1: bit of dancing.
- 2:16Speaker 2: So, save the last dance, she actually played a dancer
- 2:19Speaker 2: in that movie. And she, in the most recent dance
- 2:22Speaker 2: she did, she actually recreated that iconic 90s dance scene
- 2:25Speaker 2: from that movie. It went viral because all 90s kids
- 2:28Speaker 2: were obsessed. So, 10 Things I Hate About You alongside
- 2:32Speaker 2: Heath Ledger, who obviously has passed away.
- 2:34Speaker 1: In 2008.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Now she said that her next dance is going to
- 2:38Speaker 2: be in tribute to Heath.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Take a listen.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Yes, I was crying in rehearsals today, and it's so crazy.
- 2:45Speaker 3: I sound so stupid when I say this. I didn't
- 2:47Speaker 3: expect it.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Of course, I watched the show. I know that dedication
- 2:49Speaker 1: night's emotional. But I thought, oh, here.
- 2:52Speaker 3: I felt like I was distanced from it enough. Like, oh,
- 2:54Speaker 3: it was so many years ago. And something about seeing
- 2:59Speaker 3: clips from that movie and images and hearing my voice
- 3:02Speaker 3: and hearing his voice is like bringing back so many memories.
- 3:05Speaker 1: It's a lot.
- 3:06Speaker 2: So remember how there was that scene where he was
- 3:10Speaker 2: on the bleachers and he sung to her and he
- 3:12Speaker 2: sung Can't Take My Eyes Off You?
- 3:14Speaker 3: Yes.
- 3:14Speaker 1: So that's what the song that they're going to dance
- 3:16Speaker 1: to is.
- 3:17Speaker 2: So it's really sweet and I'm looking forward to seeing
- 3:19Speaker 2: that because we love Heath Ledger.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Can I ask, can you either dance or you can't?
- 3:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:23Speaker 1: It's like you can sing or you can't.
- 3:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:25Speaker 4: You've either got rhythm and you can, yeah, you definitely
- 3:28Speaker 4: can't dance or sing.
- 3:30Speaker 3: No.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Can't do much. And they say if you're a bad dancer. Well,
- 3:34Speaker 1: that was my next question. Do you think that's true? Yes.
- 3:39Speaker 1: But I've pleased women. Have you? I've tried. And the
- 3:44Speaker 1: most important thing is you try. Yes, that is very true.
- 3:48Speaker 1: In life, all you can do is your best.
