Trump Accounts Launch for Newborns | US News

Starting July 4th, newborns in the U.S. will automatically get a “Trump Account” — a government-backed savings plan — when parents sign hospital paperwork for their baby’s Social Security number. Congress created these accounts to help kids save and invest from birth, with $1,000 deposited for babies born between Jan 1, 2025, and Dec 31, 2028. Families, friends, and even businesses can add up to $5,000 yearly, invested in U.S. stock funds and locked until age 18.
